  Speaker 2: then done something wonderful for you. You just got to

  Speaker 2: thank Him for it, you know, in the midst of

  Speaker 2: all that's going on in my life and in your life.

  Speaker 2: You know, I always use myself as an example because

  Speaker 2: well I mean that way. I guarantee one hundred percent

  Speaker 2: I know what I'm talking about here. Here's a situation,

  Speaker 2: you know, with everything that's going on in my life

  Speaker 2: and all the things I'm asking God for.

  Speaker 1: In the midst of.

  Speaker 2: A taxing and a very trying situation, is very challenging

  Speaker 2: for me right now. Man, God just keeps on, keeps
• 0:57
  Speaker 2: on surprising me. He keeps doing things. And I want

  Speaker 2: you to look at your life or for a second,
• 1:05
  Speaker 2: let's make two columns here. Let's make a column of
• 1:09
  Speaker 2: all the things you want from God. You know, just
• 1:12
  Speaker 2: do that throughout the course of the day, you know,
• 1:15
  Speaker 2: you know, run down the list of all the things
• 1:16
  Speaker 2: you're asking God for all the things you're praying for,
• 1:20
  Speaker 2: the things you aspire to, what your dreams, your visions,
• 1:24
  Speaker 2: whatever it is. Just make a column list of all
• 1:26
  Speaker 2: those things. Let's make three lists. And then the second list,
• 1:31
  Speaker 2: I want you to make a list of everything that
• 1:36
  Speaker 2: you've been asking God for, so I guess that could
• 1:40
  Speaker 2: be a little bit of the same.

  Speaker 1: But this third list, I want you to do a
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: check off point.
• 1:44
  Speaker 2: I want you to do a make a list of
• 1:47
  Speaker 2: everything that God has given you that you've asked him for.

  Speaker 2: Just think about it like that for a second. I

  Speaker 2: may be explaining a little wrong right now, but I'm

  Speaker 2: gonna pull it together for you. Make a list of

  Speaker 2: everything you're asking God for. Just just list it. You

  Speaker 2: know it's okay. It's a dream board. You can call

  Speaker 2: it that. I got one, it's a vision board. You

  Speaker 2: know everybody's got something you hope for.

  Speaker 1: Make a list. Now.

  Speaker 2: I want you to make another list of everything you've
• 2:16
  Speaker 2: asked God for that He's given you already. See this

  Speaker 2: is a good list because sometimes and what I've been

  Speaker 2: guilty of and maybe you two in my request list

  Speaker 2: on my dream board, I keep focusing so hard sometimes
• 2:34
  Speaker 2: on the what I'm yet to receive. I keep focusing
• 2:38
  Speaker 2: so hard on the what I hope he gives me.

  Speaker 2: I keep focusing so hard on the things that I
• 2:45
  Speaker 2: yet not fulfilled in my life that sometimes, as he
• 2:50
  Speaker 2: starts checking off my wish lists, the things I've asked
• 2:54
  Speaker 2: for in the past that have come to pass that
• 2:56
  Speaker 2: he's given me, I sometimes praying for what I want
• 3:02
  Speaker 2: forget to thank him for what he's done for me.

  Speaker 2: And I'm currently in the middle of that situation. And

  Speaker 2: this morning when I woke up, I really, man, I
• 3:11
  Speaker 2: just got on my knees this morning and I quit
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: tripping for a second.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: I said, Man, hey, God, you.
• 3:15
  Speaker 2: Know what I really do need all them things I'm
• 3:19
  Speaker 2: asking for, and I'm really am believing that you're gonna
• 3:22
  Speaker 2: give it to me. But in the meantime, though, Man,
• 3:25
  Speaker 2: have I overlooked some important details here?
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: I had to really look at what he's done for me.
• 3:32
  Speaker 2: I mean, look, man, take yourself out of it personally,
• 3:35
  Speaker 2: and look, well, you can leave yourself in it however
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: you want to be. Some people can't do that, so
• 3:39
  Speaker 2: just leave yourself in it. Then, But man, I started
• 3:42
  Speaker 2: looking at the eyepart of me, and I started looking
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: around at what's happening overall. Like man, he has kept
• 3:49
  Speaker 2: my family together and in spite of the attempts to
• 3:53
  Speaker 2: tear it apart.

  Speaker 1: I look at all of that. I look at how.

  Speaker 2: He's blessing my children with the desires of their heart,
• 3:59
  Speaker 2: which I pray for my kids. You know, I want
• 4:01
  Speaker 2: my kids to have a better life than I've had.

  Speaker 2: I really really do. I don't want them to take
• 4:06
  Speaker 2: as long as it took me to get it together.

  Speaker 1: I really really don't.
• 4:09
  Speaker 2: I'm trying to say, hey, man, if you go to college,
• 4:12
  Speaker 2: this is what you can be. Don't do like your
• 4:14
  Speaker 2: father did. Don't go three years drop I'll throw yourself
• 4:17
  Speaker 2: into a spiral. And then got to start to scratch
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: all over again, you know, And for the most part
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: so far, you know, they're doing quite well of it.

  Speaker 1: You know, you know they're getting kicked around a little bit,
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: but that's life.

  Speaker 2: I started thinking of the blessings that he's helped me
• 4:33
  Speaker 2: overcome with some of the previous mistakes I've made in
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: relationships in my life. And then I started looking about
• 4:41
  Speaker 2: the things he's blessed me with that I've been asking
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: him for. But since I've moved on from it. I
• 4:47
  Speaker 2: forgot to keep thinking because I got to always thank
• 4:50
  Speaker 2: God for a roof over my head because guess what,
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: when I was asking for the roof and I didn't
• 4:54
  Speaker 2: really have it, then he gave me one.
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: Now, since he gave it to me, what, I'm just
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: cool now.

  Speaker 2: I can't ever go back to him and go, hey, man,

  Speaker 2: I really do appreciate this roof over my head because
• 5:04
  Speaker 2: that was a time when I was living in a car.

  Speaker 2: But see, so every morning I wake up, I gotta
• 5:09
  Speaker 2: remember the fact that I have a home now because

  Speaker 2: I got to look back and go, man, that was time, Steve,
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: when you didn't have no home. But see, we forget
• 5:17
  Speaker 2: what God has done for us because in our column,
• 5:21
  Speaker 2: the won't column, the need column, we oftentimes forget for
• 5:27
  Speaker 2: the columns and the check marks that He's already fulfilled
• 5:30
  Speaker 2: in our life. You've got to take inventory every now
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: and then daily if possible. But I know, we humans,
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: we're not gonna do that. I don't.
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: But you've got to take inventory of your life to say, hey,
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: what has God done for me? You know? And remember
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: something else too. Change is good, but change is challenging.

  Speaker 2: Accept the challenge that it is Look, a lot of
• 5:58
  Speaker 2: you come up to me all the time to say,

  Speaker 2: Steve Man, thank you, man, boy, you in the morning. Man,

  Speaker 2: I really be needing that, Like honest said it a
• 6:06
  Speaker 2: hundred times, but I'm gonna say it again, y'all, I
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: be needing it too. You know, you understand, sometimes what
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: God is dealing with me is for me. But now
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: I'm in a sharing position where I can open up
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: and if I just if I just quit being so
• 6:23
  Speaker 2: about me and become a little bit more transparent, I
• 6:26
  Speaker 2: can maybe some of me that's happening to me is
• 6:29
  Speaker 2: happening to you, and you could see some of this
• 6:32
  Speaker 2: in me. That's why I use myself as an example,

  Speaker 2: because man, I'm catching it too, y'all. I ain't perfect either.

  Speaker 2: So for those of you that come up to me

  Speaker 2: and say that, I want you to understand these these

  Speaker 2: talks in the morning, man, this is important for me

  Speaker 2: because man, I need these conversations from God. I need

  Speaker 2: God to continue to strengthen me, to show me the
• 6:54
  Speaker 2: way to help me understand what's happening to me.

  Speaker 1: And see, as.

  Speaker 2: We've all those of you who have made the decision
• 7:02
  Speaker 2: to change to become a better person, a better woman,
• 7:05
  Speaker 2: a better boy, better girl, a better man.

  Speaker 1: For those of you who's made.

  Speaker 2: The decision to change, change is a challenge, and accept
• 7:11
  Speaker 2: the challenge because it's gonna come. Because right out of

  Speaker 2: that here come to haters. Here they come people you

  Speaker 2: don't even know, discussing your life and your change. If
• 7:21
  Speaker 2: God see you really really mean what you say, in
• 7:24
  Speaker 2: spite of what they say about you, God will raise
• 7:28
  Speaker 2: you above the freight. He'll keep promoting you, He'll keep
• 7:32
  Speaker 2: blessing you, He'll keep moving you up.

  Speaker 1: He will use you as a show off point. He'll
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: show you.

  Speaker 2: Off, man, He'll he'll make you look good the people
• 7:42
  Speaker 2: man who wish you'd fall all day long. And so

  Speaker 2: to all your haters, all your haters will end up

  Speaker 2: just watching you rise.

  Speaker 1: Man. They will watch you continue to grow. That's what

  Speaker 1: God will do for you. Man.

  Speaker 2: You can fool the world, but you can't fool God.
