First Indian Rhino Calf Born in Ireland | Cork News
A brand-new Indian rhino calf has just been born at Fota Wildlife Park — only the second ever in Ireland and the park’s history. Healthy and thriving, the little guy is being lovingly guarded by his mom Maya. This joyful birth is part of a major conservation push, following recent wins with Sumatran tigers, Nubian giraffes, Asian lions, and François’ langurs. With only 4,000 greater one-horned rhinos left in the wild, every new birth matters. Visitors can help name the calf by submitting suggestions at the Serengeti Shop until September 13th — and one lucky entrant will win an annual park…
