- 0:21Speaker 1: Alright, we made it y'all.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Welcome back to another episode, alright.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So I'm going to do this a little bit differently and be cave.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Ceo Triad Leadership Solutions Award winning podcast, or y'all know about developing the leader within.
- 0:58Speaker 1: He's a best selling author, he's a mentor, he's a lot more than that.
- 1:02Speaker 1: He's also, you know, one of my besties.
- 1:06Speaker 1: He's in the parade deck military influencer community.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So shout out to parade deck.
- 1:10Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Thanks for watching our show.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Life and love on your way out.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I hope it was good for everyone.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I hope it was good for everybody.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm so excited to have you here.
- 1:25Speaker 1: This is huge.
- 1:26Speaker 1: I mean, I am, I am generally grateful to have you on our platform, and I do, I'm such a huge fan of what you do.
- 1:32Speaker 1: I've been, I've been stalking you for quite some time.
- 1:36Speaker 1: So shout out, here comes the parade deck.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we are team makers.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I'm just, I'm just grateful.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So I just want to pause and give you your flowers before we get started, because you, you made an impact, not just to me, but quite a lot of women, on a program that we had earlier this year with parade deck.
- 1:54Speaker 1: We had a panel and you, you were in the backstage waiting to go on for this panel and I had y'all I think I had like six women on this program and we were just sharing our stories and in the back room you could see some of the just supportive things that you were saying and you were doing, also on social media, and so I, on behalf of all of these women, wanted to say just thank you, because you were, you were so supportive of us, of everything that we did and everything that you do when people follow you in your career and you know what you've done.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I've got to get it all out y'all, because we don't say this enough and I do act.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I am I'm genuinely a fan and a respecter of you and everything that you do, so I just want to make sure that I get it all out before we start acting a fool in here.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Thank you, I appreciate it.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And you know, folks, if you're listening to it, you got to do it.
- 2:52Speaker 2: You got to tell people they're worth when, when you have an opportunity, you just don't know whether they will not be around, right?
- 3:00Speaker 2: So thank you.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Thank you, I appreciate that.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So I want to dig into a little bit about what you do, and then we're going to talk about podcasting, because this is our world.
- 3:11Speaker 1: This is like the most fun ever.
- 3:14Speaker 1: So I think this is also going to be helpful for people who might be thinking about podcasting or can't figure out why we're doing this.
- 3:20Speaker 1: So it's fun, but it's a lot of work.
- 3:22Speaker 1: But talk to you a little bit about triad leadership and some of the solutions that you provide, and then we're going to switch to podcasting.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks.
- 3:32Speaker 2: So triad leadership solution focuses on developing those that want to be better consciously.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Now there's some people that are put in programs right, and they consciously don't want to and and and, so you'll see the same results even after you invested so much money.
- 3:49Speaker 2: So I specifically target folks that are consciously looking for growth personal growth, spiritual growth, leadership growth and and anything else that we could talk about in our coaching sessions, because some of those conversations go in different areas, not necessarily leadership, but it is the joy of my heart to do so.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's always wonderful to see someone get an epiphany.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I was telling somebody today awareness doesn't do anything.
- 4:25Speaker 2: If you don't do anything, that's right.
- 4:26Speaker 2: So you could be aware all you want.
- 4:29Speaker 2: But when they get awareness coupled with some action and then they see the fruit of that, it's lovely to see and so that's a joy in my life.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I love that.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So what were you doing earlier today?
- 4:42Speaker 1: What were you doing Like?
- 4:44Speaker 1: When you think about, like what you did earlier today, what really stood out?
- 4:47Speaker 1: Well, this.
- 4:49Speaker 2: so earlier today I was in a mentorship session with a fellow sailor, a fellow senior chief, starting out in her entrepreneurial journey, and you know, what stands out is how wonderful and I'm going to say this right how, how wonderful the Lord is to put you in positions and get, get you some experiences to share with others so that they can get safely to their next destination.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Wow, and mentorship, that's what mentorship does.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It allows you to share some of that knowledge, share some of that substance of your journey in order to allow someone to get there either wisely, definitely more safely, right.
- 5:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I love that, and so shout out hello, dump and Grand Podcast.
- 5:46Speaker 1: So God, now he's got podcasts.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Listen to me him about his podcast, that's how you're writing, so all right, so.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So another area that I wanted to talk about before we go into podcast if your part is in mentorship and I just try to tell people that it works both of you so as someone who I actually also watch you, I call it like live mentorship or live coaching on your podcast.
- 6:12Speaker 1: You literally are sharing that space and giving great feedback and listening and all of that.
- 6:17Speaker 1: What are some of the challenges you think that a lot of us have?
- 6:21Speaker 1: Because a lot of folks won't even, you know, think to look for a mentor or they're trying to figure out how you can afford it or any of that.
- 6:28Speaker 1: So what are some of the challenges you think that a lot of us face before we even consider like a mentor?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, one is realizing that you need one.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:37Speaker 2: That's the very first thing Once you become aware that you need one.
- 6:42Speaker 2: The second thing is people don't talk.
- 6:45Speaker 2: They don't ask Right, they don't ask.
- 6:48Speaker 2: In my session today, one of the things they did come up was how do I get this?
- 6:55Speaker 2: And I said well, you got to ask for it.
- 6:59Speaker 2: That's for example, but wouldn't I be looked like?
- 7:02Speaker 2: No, you just got to ask for it, right?
- 7:04Speaker 2: So you know that you need to ask someone, and I'm going to tell you this ask someone that's reputable and is living that which you want to be mentored for.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Because if they're not, don't ask them.
- 7:22Speaker 2: They can't even mentor themselves, right?
- 7:26Speaker 2: So don't ask them to mentor you.
- 7:28Speaker 2: But if they have proven in their life and in the way they execute life that they are worthy of sharing their life with you for you to learn, go ahead, ask and don't be shy.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Most people will feel honored that you did ask.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That's a good point, so all right, so let me start digging into podcasting.
- 7:53Speaker 1: What, actually?
- 7:55Speaker 1: What inspired you to get started, and how did you even come up with the concept for your show?
- 8:00Speaker 2: Well, the so podcasting was something that my friend and I, John Oswald and if he catches one of this, he knows that we used to drive about an hour to work, Wow, Right.
- 8:16Speaker 2: And so in that hour, him and I are both John Maxwell fans I'm John Maxwell certified and we used to get into these deep one hour discussions on the way to work, and this was circa, I would say, 2009.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Oh wow, this is back to day.
- 8:39Speaker 2: This is when a podcasting was almost brand new, and so we used to say, man, we need to record these things.
- 8:46Speaker 2: What is wrong?
- 8:48Speaker 2: We've wasted years traveling to work, not recording these things, and so podcasting was always something that I had and him and I we had talked about Wasn't a thing, wasn't a thing, wasn't a thing, Didn't make them a thing.
- 9:04Speaker 2: But the pandemic kind of made it a thing.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so a pandemic here.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I had left my job the day before lockdown started.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Wow.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Hey, I don't know if it was just perfect timing or what, but the next day I was like, oh snap, now everything shut down.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I can't give me another job now.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So what, what am I going to do?
- 9:34Speaker 2: I said, well, bro, you could either sit here and do nothing or you could sit here and share something.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And so I said okay, well, let me start doing podcasts.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I looked some things up, I hooked up with Anchor.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I was using my phone at the time.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And then I said, okay, well, okay, that's good, but I really want to do video as well.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So I initially just started right off the bat, just video and audio, and it was just you know what?
- 10:10Speaker 2: I think the first one was two minutes.
- 10:12Speaker 2: First episode was like your opening.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Thanks for coming, like and share.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Don't forget y'all like and share, like and share, like and share Y'all for real.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Like and share the video yeah.
- 10:25Speaker 2: So, but then, you know, two minutes turned to nine, and nine turns to 15.
- 10:30Speaker 2: 15 was 30, and then all of a sudden I get a guess and it's an hour, you know.
- 10:34Speaker 2: So it grew that way Right.
- 10:38Speaker 2: I say I started February and March hit, and then we, we kept on.
- 10:46Speaker 2: So now it's been four years.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Wow.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I love that.
- 10:50Speaker 1: So what would you say is one of your most memorable behind the scenes before right?
- 10:58Speaker 1: So while you're recording cause I think a lot of people don't understand that there's a whole lot of setup and things that go- on for you.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So what's one of your most like memorable behind the scenes before you go on live situations?
- 11:12Speaker 2: Yeah well.
- 11:13Speaker 2: So there's a lot of memorable stuff, especially you start building a studio, but I think the most memorable, even behind the scenes and during the thing, is all the guests.
- 11:30Speaker 2: The guests are the most memorable and you have some real good conversation prior, then you have your substance of what you want and then you have some great conversation after.
- 11:40Speaker 2: But the guests really.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So, since I select my guests, I don't let people apply to be a guest and I will tell you if I have had, in four years, five people that just came out of nowhere.
- 11:54Speaker 2: That's a lot.
- 11:56Speaker 2: All of my guests are curated and chosen for a reason, so they really make the aha moment, they really make the life of the show and if there's anything memorable it's their memory.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I love that point you made because there's a lot of folks, so there's a couple of shout outs Thank you for your service to our military community.
- 12:19Speaker 1: So thank you, Marine OCS blog for that and dumping ground and celebrate your wins.
- 12:25Speaker 1: So congratulations on the four years Plus y'all.
- 12:28Speaker 1: He's still gonna be around.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So I love that point that you make, though, about selecting your guests, because there are a lot of.
- 12:35Speaker 1: There are a lot of a lot of folks doing podcasts, who do the paper play, or you know, it feels like when you're talking to your guest, you can tell they have no idea what they're talking to and you know there's no chemistry.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So how important to you is it to have that kind of chemistry when you have your guests and I told I'm with you on that I got to know who you are before you coming on to represent me.
- 13:01Speaker 1: You know how does that work for you.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Yeah, so chemistry is a thing, but I'll tell you that I I'm kind of happy, go lucky, so I kind of get along with everybody and most people say that their experience on the show was very chill and very inviting and stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 2: So what I focus is on their expertise and so, although they I've had some guests right that I'm like whoa, what happened there?
- 13:35Speaker 2: I thought I thought that was going to go different, but but it's not very much.
- 13:44Speaker 2: And then I've had, I've had guests that I've been so anxious to have and they don't show me.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, we all have to talk about that, yeah.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I mean that happens, but if there's anything, I so I do some scouting during the year, right?
- 14:06Speaker 2: My guests for next year have already been scouted.
- 14:12Speaker 2: This whole entire last seven months I've been following them, I've been commenting, I've been looking, making sure that seven because seven months is enough to know this person is solid or hold on.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Now you got to do your due diligence right, because you're recording something that's going to be there for a while.
- 14:33Speaker 2: If you get tied in to somebody that's there's not, let's just say all the way done, yeah, you're going to pay for it later.
- 14:44Speaker 2: So so I do due diligence by following them the year prior to them ever coming on my show, and that's how I ensure that the chemistry and the connectedness is there.
- 15:00Speaker 1: So if you could interview any celebrity or anyone you know living or I won't say, passed on, believe me talking to it.
- 15:09Speaker 1: If you could interview anyone, and obviously the answer is me, but I've already been interviewed, so let's just like right Other than me who would you want to?
- 15:23Speaker 2: interview Barack Obama.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 15:27Speaker 2: And you know what I asked.
- 15:30Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with asking.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I wrote them a letter.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I just said you got asked, right?
- 15:33Speaker 2: I wrote them a letter and and I didn't hear nothing back.
- 15:37Speaker 2: But that's okay, because you hear me now, everybody, everybody hit me now.
- 15:42Speaker 2: If you know Barack Obama, send him my way.
- 15:47Speaker 1: So for those of y'all in our community, what is it what?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Six degrees of separation.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Somebody knows somebody and somebody knows it's gonna have dinner with him and say, hey, there was this guy named Enrique.
- 15:58Speaker 2: They want to send you a letter.
- 16:03Speaker 1: He's a parade deck, so yeah, exactly.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So what's the most, what would you say is the most surprising thing you might have learned from a guest on your show that's outside of there, maybe that you know, maybe outside their expertise, but maybe something that pops out.
- 16:23Speaker 2: So I had a guy that was a.
- 16:26Speaker 2: He's a, he's a surgeon right, that's his thing.
- 16:33Speaker 2: He's a surgeon out of the UK and you think he's going to be talking about hands.
- 16:40Speaker 2: He does hands, plaques, the surgery on your hands and stuff.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Well, he's also a watchmaker.
- 16:45Speaker 2: What?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm a surgeon watchmaker.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 16:51Speaker 2: His family, his family, comes from his jewelers.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Oh wow, and so he went to Dr Rob, but also loved timepieces, and so I said well, I talk about time management.
- 17:08Speaker 2: How about you come on and talk about time and we're talking about your watch?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Right, ended up being one of my the show sponsor, one of my shows.
- 17:18Speaker 2: So developing the leading within is sponsored now by Houghtchester London.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Well, the guy is a plastic surgeon, but he's also a watchmaker.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Okay, I wouldn't.
- 17:32Speaker 2: And that was interesting.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I would have never put the two together, but yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Okay so you know, which goes to show people are deeper than what you see.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, we were talking about you, how much stuff you're doing.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 17:53Speaker 2: I don't know how she does it, but she does and so.
- 17:57Speaker 2: But that's the beauty of podcasting you get to dig in right.
- 18:04Speaker 2: There's some people that are doing a job they hate.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 2: And they're better at this.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Okay, let's look at President Bush.
- 18:13Speaker 2: President Bush, no, he was the president.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You can't get no higher than that in our country.
- 18:20Speaker 2: But have you seen his art?
- 18:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Holy, holy.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Yeah, the expression he's expressing.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm like yeah, you painted that yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 2: We was making fun of him, how he talking this up and stuff.
- 18:40Speaker 2: He would say and and the giggle, and yeah, that brother can paint.
- 18:46Speaker 1: It turns out, he was an artist all along.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Holy moly, who'da known.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Who'da known.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Yeah, so podcasting allows you to dig in and shovel some of that stuff up, and you'd be surprised A lot of our guests share some of the some of the things that they're in, but I love it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: So do you think it's kind of is change, change your life in a way, podcasting?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Oh, definitely has.
- 19:13Speaker 2: It definitely has At a minimum.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Now, okay, some people may say, okay, enrique, you've always been out there, right You're?
- 19:22Speaker 2: You're an extra verb plus and you go out in the room and you talking to people and you moving and, and, and you know, the party started when, when Enrique got there, right?
- 19:32Speaker 2: So, and and yes, I have that charisma, I have that joy, I have that I'm just people, just just drawn.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Where those people?
- 19:41Speaker 1: people just show up.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Well, if I be lifted up, oh boy, there we go so.
- 19:50Speaker 2: So, yeah, there are these natural qualities and abilities that are inherent to me that made me kind of kind of do that.
- 19:58Speaker 2: But it's just amazing how podcasting has refined some areas public speaking, speaking on video, doing webinars, all these things that you did not do before Having your thoughts, you know, just come out in a way where they're expressive.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I have some people say, whoa, I've never heard it so eloquently, things like that, and you're like what I said, that and I'll hear.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Sometimes I'll be like my son.
- 20:35Speaker 2: My son yesterday goes You're yin your own, your own stuff.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I was like that was good.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's a lot of development that happens through podcasting.
- 20:51Speaker 2: The people you meet, yeah, holy moly.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:57Speaker 2: So I intentionally made my podcast to be worldwide leadership.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I do not stay, as a matter of fact, the month of July.
- 21:04Speaker 2: This next Australia is coming up.
- 21:07Speaker 2: So every month, every July, I do international month, so we have a speaker from wherever it is in the world at the time.
- 21:15Speaker 2: But most folks that come on are from different countries and that was strategic, right.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Because if I have some somebody from Pakistan, guess where I just started getting listeners from.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Wow, that's a good point.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Take notes.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Take notes while it's free.
- 21:38Speaker 1: That's incredible.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I love that.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So yeah, there's plenty of growth that happens.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I love.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I think, one of the things that I love with podcasting, I think, with us as well, as we just we have a good sense of storytelling and taking people through the journey, so it really doesn't matter who comes on.
- 22:01Speaker 1: And also, what I appreciate about you is that you're not coming on as anyone but yourself.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Right, you're literally just yourself.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I do have a running joke that I'm a parade deck Oprah, but at the end of the day, I'm Shelley.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Right, I'm not trying to duplicate or be Katie Curry, I'm literally just being myself.
- 22:24Speaker 1: And you know, when you're interviewing people, for those of y'all who are lucky enough to be on his show and for those of you guys who are watching, you know you're visiting your audience members.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You'll pick up that that this is where authenticity comes into play.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You just happen to also be walking in your purpose.
- 22:42Speaker 1: This isn't for everybody, okay, there's a lot of people who are like I want to start a podcast and not understanding that there is a method to the madness in storytelling and genuinely wanting to connect with other people and hear their stories and kind of share that with y'all.
- 23:01Speaker 1: What kind of advice would you give to those who might be thinking about you know I want to start a podcast.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Yeah Well, starting a podcast is very easy nowadays.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Literally, you open an account with anchor or whoever it is that you want to be with, take a phone and start recording.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:23Speaker 2: And upload the thing, and there it goes, episode one.
- 23:26Speaker 2: The thing about podcasting is that you have to understand that longevity is where the real gain is had.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:39Speaker 2: If you, you know, some people say yo, I'm going to do a hundred, and then I'm out.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Most, most, don't get to seven.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Wow, most people that start podcasts don't even get to seven.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And episodes folks, that's not much.
- 23:53Speaker 1: That's not.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not much.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I think I recorded my one.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I'm going to record my one hundred and eightieth on one of the four podcasts.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I was going to say hold on y'all.
- 24:08Speaker 1: There are multiple.
- 24:09Speaker 1: So we talk about, like, our love of podcasts and doing podcasts, et cetera.
- 24:14Speaker 1: We have multiple channels and mediums that we use, but we have, you know, it's not just one.
- 24:24Speaker 1: So that's a great point that you're making.
- 24:25Speaker 1: So the fact that folks kind of drop off after seven, it also tells you your commitment level.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So when one thing we're talking about backstage is where podcasts is going, and so you kind of see a trend now where you have folks who are moving into either formal studio settings or they're literally trying to shift into live streaming.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Live streaming, which is something that we're doing it right now on Parade Deck TV, and where we're streaming live on those platforms and, you know, eventually be streamed to wherever, wherever you can get your TV channels.
- 24:57Speaker 1: That's the goal.
- 24:58Speaker 1: What are your thoughts around like where podcasts is going and the mindset people need as they come into this as a business?
- 25:07Speaker 2: Yeah, so those, those, those are two separate.
- 25:10Speaker 2: So, where is it going?
- 25:12Speaker 2: Where has been, it's been going?
- 25:14Speaker 2: This thing is getting bigger and bigger.
- 25:17Speaker 2: You have pot fest, which is an annual event here in Orlando.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Sometimes they go to Tampa, but mostly in Orlando.
- 25:27Speaker 2: You have pot podcast movement.
- 25:30Speaker 2: There's another conference down in Miami.
- 25:34Speaker 2: This is going bigger and bigger and bigger, especially when you think about the money there to be made through affiliates, through sponsorships, through all this other stuff.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Right, I make some money.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah, well, we have to when I try to be broke.
- 25:57Speaker 2: You know, and, but at first I wasn't.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 2: And and so, in regards to where it's going, it's going to get bigger, but the funny thing is it's it's still room.
- 26:09Speaker 2: There's still room you can get in it.
- 26:13Speaker 2: If you know I've been doing it for four years and you could still start today.
- 26:18Speaker 2: You know that somebody is is wanting to hear the content that you have.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, of course you got to put some structure and delivery is a big thing, but it's getting bigger and so jump on in if you want to.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Uh, and in terms of the business side, wow the opportunities.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Right, I spoke about hot chest to London, a, a UK based watchmaker.
- 26:48Speaker 2: He is sponsoring my show UK.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Wow.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And so that's the beauty of podcasting that you can get this right.
- 27:01Speaker 2: But now let's just talk about this.
- 27:04Speaker 2: If you were the podcast that was just want to concentrate on the US, then that would be a different story.
- 27:10Speaker 2: But I have UK.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I have a company, a leadership company, in Texas.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I have a coffee maker an actual coffee maker which I get my coffee from.
- 27:27Speaker 2: So there's so many things SuperPass.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Superpass is a huge UK company that's focused on helping you.
- 27:39Speaker 2: A podcast with your website and your app.
- 27:45Speaker 2: They are our premium sponsor.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Wow.
- 27:49Speaker 2: And so I have four sponsors.
- 27:51Speaker 2: So there's money and there's benefits and there's all kinds of things that can be made through podcasting.
- 27:58Speaker 2: So don't be afraid, but I tell you, if I never ask I don't ever get.
- 28:04Speaker 1: That's a good point.
- 28:05Speaker 1: So I want to ask, coming down to our time, I want to ask what's the most maybe inspirational, or a feedback or something you got from an audience member, so we wrap the show and we move it on to the next episode.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Have you had those experiences where you've heard feedback from an audience member that was kind of surprising in any way?
- 28:33Speaker 2: We get a lot of comments and thankfully, none negative.
- 28:38Speaker 2: But I mean, if you don't like development, I guess you'll be negative about it, but when you, what we don't realize as podcasters and people who are recording and putting info out that stays there for years, is that somebody will come along your video or your show and, at an opportune time, something that they needed will come out of that episode for them, and so if there's anything that has been impactful as far as comments, is that some of the some of the old episodes are still talking.
- 29:24Speaker 2: They're still talking to people, and it was four years ago, and the beauty of the way I address podcasting is I put it in the hands of the Lord.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah you know, the content is going to be the content but somebody, and so I do every episode just for one person, although I know they're going to be more listeners and it's the person that needs to hear that information at the time they need to hear it.
- 29:54Speaker 2: So I trust the Lord to handle that part right, because he's got to orchestrate that.
- 30:00Speaker 2: And then I handle my part of making sure that the content is palatable, something that they can digest and easy to Bring in and make something of it.
- 30:12Speaker 1: So I love that.
- 30:14Speaker 1: I love that and it is all about quality.
- 30:17Speaker 1: It is quality programming.
- 30:20Speaker 1: But I love the fact that I think you know that's where we're very similar.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I'm, I'm usually just talking and sometimes if I'm talking it's just me.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Maybe I'm the one who needs it, but and I'm okay with that.
- 30:32Speaker 1: But I love the fact that you know You're, you're thinking of it from that perspective and again it goes back to purpose.
- 30:39Speaker 1: When you have a good sense of who you are and what you're meant to be doing and you're just giving Right, it's your gift and you're giving it, then I think it's just.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I just love the way that it blesses somebody else.
- 30:51Speaker 1: So I mean, what?
- 30:53Speaker 1: What would you?
- 30:54Speaker 1: What would you want to be remembered for?
- 30:58Speaker 2: impact impact impact.
- 31:02Speaker 2: You know, if you do anything and have no impact, then what have you done right and Folks are gonna remember you because you made an impact, and Whether it's one person or many, you know.
- 31:20Speaker 2: That's up to how long you want to do it.
- 31:22Speaker 2: But If you do anything in life, seek to make an impact in a positive way, because you can't be negative.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I'll let y'all know.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I've had plenty of that.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Yeah, be a positive impact.
- 31:36Speaker 2: You'll have grandchildren and great-grandchildren Benefiting from an impact you did on their grandparents, you know, because it changes lives.
- 31:52Speaker 2: So that's what I want to be remembered for.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Wow.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Well, you, you've definitely made an impact on thousands and thousands of people.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I know this because I watched data y'all.

- 33:00Speaker 1: I was like I have my water over here.
- 33:02Speaker 1: I was hydrated, I was ready to go, but what happened was because, you know, andrew Appleton and Fred neck showed up.
