- 1:57Got to plug it. I'll do that a couple times.
- 2:00Let's go. This is the part where I stopped
- 2:01talking. Guys.
- 2:02When you hear the word adversity, what do you think of
- 2:06in your life? Wow.
- 2:08I probably think most of I feel like adversity comes in like
- 2:12multiple stages. You know, you have like like
- 2:13your everyday adversity that whether we're like working
- 2:16through a concept or we have like we have our production run
- 2:19going on stuff breaks, you have to fix things.
- 2:21So you have like the everyday fires you're trying to put out
- 2:24and then you have like kind of like your yearly for like
- 2:27quarterly adversity. We're like, OK, well, we're
- 2:29trying to get to this spot. We're here now.
- 2:31There's like a lot of like fuzz about how to get there.
- 2:33So it's like, how do you move there, right?
- 2:36And then you have like the big picture adversity where you're
- 2:39like, OK, well, we're our own separate people.
- 2:41We got into this quite randomly, honestly, and we can go through
- 2:44the stories of how we got this. So then we're also trying to
- 2:47like figure out our own lives through this venture, which I
- 2:50feel like is the coolest setup speaking for both of us, where
- 2:53we both kind of use this product to figure out ourselves as well.
- 2:56So it's been like, like a personal conquest through a
- 2:59business, through a products that we've kind of both come
- 3:01together on. And I think that's where we
- 3:02aligned on 1st. And then everything else is, you
- 3:05know, on the basis of like we wanted to do something amazing
- 3:08in this world and we're both on that same wavelength.
- 3:10And I think it, it just came together to where this was the
- 3:13opportunity that I was working on and cameras introduced on and
- 3:16we were just like, all right, let's just full send this as far
- 3:19as we can go, go. Yeah.
- 3:22And then like, I would say that this has brought a lot of
- 3:25opportunities to test our adversity, like odds, he said.
- 3:28Like, you know, this has changed us and shaped us and made us who
- 3:32we are, our whole product and everything.
- 3:34And I think like, you don't really know how much you could
- 3:38take till you till you get thrown in the into the fire, you
- 3:41know what I mean? And then you have to walk
- 3:42through that fire and just like, put a blindfold on and just
- 3:45pretend like you love it. I'm laughing because I feel that
- 3:50I can relate to that where you're just like excited, but
- 3:53you're like, wow, this is this is intense, right?
- 3:57So that was a very big question. But I always like to hear like,
- 3:59and I throw that out sometimes to see like just what comes to
- 4:03mind for people. And it really what I love about
- 4:07your products and like your company is the name.
- 4:10And so take me through the name, what it means.
- 4:13And then we'll just like get into Divini and all basically
- 4:17like how you're getting through the adversity of building Divini
- 4:20and then any adversity stories from your personal life you'd
- 4:23like to share. But let's just start with the
- 4:25name. Talk about Divini, like what
- 4:27does it mean and how did you come up with it?
- 4:29Yeah, Divini came from so I originally this beverage was was
- 4:33a homebrew. So I I had found a recipe off a
- 4:37close friends and it was on one of those moments where like we
- 4:40had a bunch of people over. There's like 20 people and this
- 4:43couple Dylan McKenna, my close friends were having everyone
- 4:45over and we were like I we're going to do like a big home
- 4:48cooked meal, like family style and she's very holistic.
- 4:51She is like from scratch kitchen and we were like, you know, she
- 4:55doesn't buy any kind of drinks from the grocery store.
- 4:56So she was like, all right, I'm going to home brew, have this
- 4:58tea that I brew and I'm going to to everyone, you know, instead
- 5:02of like cocktails or anything else burned up.
- 5:05I tried it and I was like, Oh my God, this is like amazing.
- 5:08Like previously I really only drink water and you know,
- 5:11sparkling water. Like I didn't really drink
- 5:12kombucha at all. But I, I had like gut health was
- 5:17a big part of my life. I had a lot of gut issues.
- 5:18I had a lot of acne, like skin issues, things that were
- 5:21correlating that I didn't really know prior to getting into this
- 5:25research and everything of what was causing it.
- 5:27And so I, I was kind of cautious to drinks in general and, and
- 5:32had this and I was like, Oh my gosh, like it tastes like a
- 5:34soda. It's sweets, it tastes healthy
- 5:37and I feel like I consume a lot of it and feel good, which I
- 5:39hadn't found from a drink before.
- 5:41So that really excited me. So I was almost like, Oh, this
- 5:43is like a, like a elevated tea, like a special tea, like a
- 5:46divine tea. And I was like trying to go
- 5:48through, you know, how do I name this product?
- 5:51And, and my background is Italian, so I looked up, you
- 5:55know, foreign translations. That's usually a good place to
- 5:57start when you're trying to trademark a product.
- 5:59And divine means Vinny means divine in Italian.
- 6:03So I was like, oh, that sounds that rolls off the tongue
- 6:05nicely. So we'll just do that.
- 6:06Love it. I absolutely love it.
- 6:08Sorry I glitched right there a little bit.
- 6:09You guys can hear me OK, right? Yeah.
- 6:11Good. OK.
- 6:13There was a little, like delay. I was like, wait, no.
- 6:18I love it for so many reasons. I love the way it sounds,
- 6:22Divini. It's just like you said, it
- 6:24rolls off your tongue. I love the story on your
- 6:26Instagram. I I've seen a couple reels of
- 6:29that where you were like testing it out and like, when you were
- 6:32telling that story, it seems like I could imagine you like
- 6:35that first sip moment where you're like, shit, did like a
- 6:38company just get born in your mind?
- 6:39Like, was it that? Did it feel like a moment?
- 6:42Like, wait a second, this might. Yeah, changed my life.
- 6:47Yeah, it kind of felt like because I was already in a very
- 6:49experimental part of my life, like I was, I was just out of
- 6:53college. I had a great job out of college
- 6:55where I was very heavily involved in like business
- 6:57acquisitions, banking, like a lot of financials and around
- 7:00business owners and my my family backgrounds and
- 7:03entrepreneurship. My parents had a clothing
- 7:05company for almost 30 years. And so I grew up in a household
- 7:09I was already kind of accustomed to, like what this life kind of
- 7:13entailed, like a lot of uncertainty, a lot of yeah, you
- 7:15just go through it as a family, especially when you're running a
- 7:17business. So I kind of saw that up front
- 7:19and saw my, it was all about risk and reward.
- 7:23And so I understand early in life, like I wanted to, I was
- 7:26kind of pushed and I had some close friends that really like,
- 7:29got me over that edge where it's like, oh, I really want to take
- 7:31big risks and try to do something great.
- 7:34You know, when I have the energy and the opportunity and don't
- 7:36really have family obligations and things that were, you know,
- 7:39kind of hinder that or at least make those decisions a little
- 7:42harder, a little more calculated.
- 7:44So I think that was a a big part.
- 7:45And yeah, I mean, I, you know, I love cooking, I love creating
- 7:50things, experimenting with food and beverage and I love health.
- 7:52So I was already kind of looking into the kind of something in
- 7:57the health space. Sure.
- 7:59Previously before this, I'd, I'd fully designed like a farmer
- 8:02table restaurant, done renderings and everything.
- 8:04And I was talking to restaurant owners and seeing if I, yeah, I
- 8:08could go that route. You know, restaurants are a big,
- 8:11a big thing to get into. A lot of capital, a lot of money
- 8:15and a lot of experience. You know, you need to like
- 8:16search shafts and land and you know, the infrastructure.
- 8:21So when I tried this, I was like, oh, this would be like
- 8:22something pretty easy buried entry.
- 8:25And so I just started brewing it.
- 8:26I had 1/2 gallon of kombucha, this honey kombucha that I was
- 8:29brewing. And basically it's, it's when
- 8:33you home brew it, it's about a four week cycle.
- 8:36So you basically ferments it for about 20 days and then I would
- 8:39transfer it that base ferment, that kind of honey tea fermented
- 8:43into like a fruit concentrate. So I would mix like blueberries
- 8:47and apple and cinnamon and whatever flavors you want into
- 8:50another jar. And then you basically get this
- 8:52finished liquid that I would bottle.
- 8:54So I started like just went into those processes.
- 8:57I would grow batches, I would test it and it really got super
- 9:01out of hand very quickly. I started no, like I, I was
- 9:06living with my buddy Ryan at the time.
- 9:08Ryan was a big inspiration for me because he was in
- 9:10entrepreneurship and he didn't go to college and decided to
- 9:14pursue a company and he's still doing it to this day.
- 9:17So I was living with him at the time, which was a amazing, you
- 9:20know, when you go through adversity, I feel like it's best
- 9:22to do with people that are going to really help you and like
- 9:25really speak like you and give opportunities to justify what
- 9:29you're doing and not be like you're crazy, go get a dog.
- 9:32On the road with you. Yeah, 100% no, it has to be.
- 9:37You need a lot of support. And I, I felt I had a lot of
- 9:39support and I started, which was a blessing.
- 9:41And, and so yeah, I ordered a bunch of bottles, end up
- 9:44ordering like 2000 bottles from overseas.
- 9:47These glass bottles I, I just kept next to my bed because I
- 9:50didn't have space. And then I had daddy's glass
- 9:53jars that I had like 1, you know, 3 gallon jar.
- 9:57Then I got another one and another one.
- 9:58Then I had 6 and I used those for the infusions.
- 10:01And then I had and then I got like a 18 gallon VAT.
- 10:05And then I got two more. And then at one point I was
- 10:08doing like 40 gallon batches. And then I was like, well, now I
- 10:11need somewhere to put it so that I bought a fridge and then I
- 10:13bought another fridge. And then next thing you know, I
- 10:15had yeah, 40 gallons of like this Bruce cycling in my
- 10:19kitchen. And I would work all day.
- 10:22I would get home at night and I like 6:00 PM.
- 10:24Then I would just brew and ferment different stages of the
- 10:28process for in the next 4 hours till 10, go to bed, wake up at
- 10:327, go to work, come back, brew more.
- 10:34And I did that for eight months straight.
- 10:36And, and it got to the point where I was like, Dang, I
- 10:39really, I started to, you know, just give product to everyone.
- 10:43I have like a good online order system going.
- 10:45We were doing like a couple $100 a month, nothing crazy and just
- 10:49like getting some consistent customers.
- 10:51And I was like, oh, like I might actually be able to scale this.
- 10:54Like what if I, you know, got it product ability space and like,
- 10:59do I open up a commissary kitchen now?
- 11:01So like you kind of just like start the cycle and then you
- 11:04realize, you know, there's, there's things that will come up
- 11:08that you just won't get to unless you just start.
- 11:10And at that point it was like August the 24, then it got to
- 11:14August 23, then it got to like February 24.
- 11:18And I was already kind of like at a point where I was like, I,
- 11:20I could, I've, I've saved off enough money where I could quit
- 11:23my job and you take a couple months, really think this
- 11:26through and go into another cycle.
- 11:27So I did that. And, and then I, I realized
- 11:31commissary space, like I'm not a Brewer.
- 11:32I wasn't confident, fully confident.
- 11:34I was capable of like doing these big batches and getting
- 11:37machinery and the all, all while I was doing that, I was, I was
- 11:41meeting with a lot of like local beer owners, like craft brewery
- 11:43owners. I would just get a meeting and
- 11:45talk to owners about how they scaled the brewery and like what
- 11:48all the bats were and understanding canning lines and
- 11:51ingredient sourcing and all that.
- 11:53And then I I was lucky enough to find a partnership in Arizona
- 11:56with a company that want to take me in and, and produce my batch
- 12:00for me. I had the recipe and they're
- 12:01like, Oh yeah, we could easily do that.
- 12:03So I started with about 2400 cans and we just started that.
- 12:09And that's right when I met Cameron.
- 12:11And what was that? September of 25 S about like a
- 12:15year and a half ago. So that's when I had my first
- 12:17batch and and then we produce another 5600 cans and now we
- 12:22kind of redesigned our whole brand based off everything we
- 12:24learned the past year. And now we're watching almost
- 12:2730,000 cans next week. And we just secured A Sprouse
- 12:31contract and we have meetings with Safeway, Albertson's,
- 12:34Bashes and Ajs, a bunch of retailers in towns.
- 12:37It like it's crazy now you just start off like one recipe and
- 12:42you end up just creating this entire lifeline.
- 12:44I just got chills. Congratulations, that's so
- 12:48badass. Thank you.
- 12:49It's really to build that from just the way you took us through
- 12:54it and and shows like the the steps of just one phase at a
- 12:59time, right. And tell me the the lovely
- 13:03gentleman sitting to your left, how did you guys meet?
- 13:06Like what was the where, what was where did you meet?
- 13:09How did you meet? Well, OK, so I was, I've been
- 13:14doing, I'm like, like the crazy, weird Albert Einstein dude that
- 13:18was out there doing photography and videography and that we used
- 13:21to do. And I've been invited to so many
- 13:25random, like client lists and so many random things.
- 13:29And so I was in the boat of just like, I took everything, you
- 13:32know, and yeah. And at the time I was like
- 13:38looking for something consistent and I never really could find it
- 13:40because I, you know, I'm just doing all these random gigs.
- 13:42I'm doing full time videography, photography.
- 13:45And then his, his boy, his boy Tyler, which I didn't, I didn't
- 13:49know him, invited me to do a golf video out on a golf course.
- 13:53And I never even played golf in my entire life or anything.
- 13:56I was like, OK, sweet, maybe I could learn from these dudes.
- 13:58Maybe I could be out there like to, to watch or something.
- 14:01And, and I come and Mason's there and he brings, he brings
- 14:05the drink. And, you know, I just think he's
- 14:07kind of just like, kind of like he, he's a stoic.
- 14:11I'd say first impression of Mason I love.
- 14:15Stoic. You know what I mean?
- 14:16Yeah. And, and I, he brought somebody
- 14:19else. They were I, I tried the drink
- 14:21and I was instantly addicted to the drink.
- 14:24So I think at that, that day, I think I had like 3 or 4 that I
- 14:27don't know you brought. It down like 4.
- 14:29Yeah, it was. It was.
- 14:30And, and I couldn't. And after the shoot and
- 14:33everything, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
- 14:35And then they invited, or he invited me to go to a place
- 14:38called the Canal Club in Scottsdale.
- 14:40I don't know. Are you from here or no?
- 14:41I lived in Arizona for nine months in 2005.
- 14:46OK. Back in the day.
- 14:47I don't know if that was there, then I was.
- 14:48A young pup. I don't know if you guys were
- 14:50born yet. It's it's like random town.
- 14:53It's like a nice hotel and it's got like a super lobby.
- 14:56And yeah, like, why are these dudes like these these dudes are
- 15:00reminding me to go there. And I was like, OK, but I, I
- 15:02knew, you know, of, you know, Mason doing the drink and
- 15:05everything. So I, he's come there and I, I,
- 15:09we, we talked for a while. And eventually we get to the to
- 15:12the point where I'm like starting to work with Mason and
- 15:14I'm like trying to like his. I was like, I can definitely
- 15:17help this dude out, like this guy on social media and
- 15:20everything. I could definitely help him out.
- 15:22And then we're working together for a while.
- 15:23But I realized that I definitely could go even farther into that.
- 15:28And that's when we became partners, so.
- 15:30Yeah, amazing. So literally it was kind of the
- 15:33first sip moment where you were like.
- 15:35Yeah, it was my first. Stoic guy but holy shit this is
- 15:40the best thing I've ever tasted it.
- 15:41Was literally the best thing I've ever had.
- 15:43I love the story. I love the founders stories.
- 15:46I love hearing like the back story of how you guys got to
- 15:49this moment where you're, you know, getting deals with Sprouts
- 15:52and we're talking to Safeway and you got your cans.
- 15:55Like all the stuff that led up to this moment, you know?
- 15:58And it sounds like what I'm hearing a lot of is you guys
- 16:02pushing yourself outside your comfort zone over and over and
- 16:05over and over. Yeah.
- 16:07That adversity, you have to continue to test it, you know?
- 16:09Like it's, it's pretty. Would you say entrepreneurship
- 16:14just kind of is adversity? I mean in a beautiful way.
- 16:17I mean, entrepreneurship and that's all I feel like is like
- 16:20seeing something in the world that you don't like and you want
- 16:22to change and then figuring out all the ways that you can make
- 16:25it better. And then let's say, do you do
- 16:27make it better? That's like half the battle,
- 16:29maybe even like a like 1/5 of the battle.
- 16:31And then the other, most of it is, well, now I've created
- 16:33something like, how do I make it easily accessible for people,
- 16:37make it super easy to understand and convert people from what is
- 16:42to what can be. And that's really the hardest
- 16:45challenge, which is like what we're trying to figure out on
- 16:47the daily basis. It's like, OK, we had a product,
- 16:49it was good. We figured out ways to make it
- 16:51better. We figured out ways to make it
- 16:53more accessible. And then there's like the back
- 16:55end that primarily I worked on of how to make the products.
- 16:58How do I find better suppliers? How do I find better rates?
- 17:00How do I make it at a price point where we can actually like
- 17:02scale it and make it financially possible?
- 17:05Now how do we get it into stores where people go to and set up
- 17:08those deals or how do we provide easy ecommerce at a bare
- 17:11adventure price points where people would actually pay on a
- 17:14regular basis? And then how do we make that
- 17:15more feasible and what other options are?
- 17:18And then there's like the ideology standpoint that Cameron
- 17:22works on a lot where it's like, OK, cool, how do we, you know,
- 17:25create content and videos and campaigns around like, hey,
- 17:29here's the problem we're trying to solve.
- 17:30Make that an emotional trigger in people's lives where it's
- 17:33like, oh, I struggle with that too.
- 17:35And it's like, OK, well, we have the solution or we have
- 17:37something better that we want to give you and to kind of solve
- 17:42that, like, hey, here's what's in the market, here's why it's
- 17:44been a detriment, and here's how we've taken the steps to make it
- 17:48better. Yeah.
- 17:49Such a good answer and go ahead. I I was going to ask, So you
- 17:52said you've had 93 episodes, correct?
- 17:55This will you guys are #92 I don't know if 92 means anything
- 17:59to you, but 92. That's awesome.
- 18:02I was going to ask. So like, out of all the
- 18:03episodes, what is the biggest thing you found out about
- 18:06adversity that you've asked from people?
- 18:08That's a great question, question.
- 18:10And the first, if I'm honest, the first thing that comes to my
- 18:13mind it, it's when you're going through adversity, get outside
- 18:19of yourself and help people. And it might, I don't know if
- 18:23it's because my last guest on episode 90, John Kippen, who has
- 18:28like facial paralysis and he overcame cancer and now he's
- 18:31like a magician. But he was like, get outside
- 18:34yourself. Like not and not like deny what
- 18:37you're going through, but almost like take that pain, that
- 18:41adversity that whatever's going through and like, what can you
- 18:44alchemize it? It's kind of like, and then
- 18:47another Sylvie, my, my really good friend, talks about
- 18:50alchemizing the pain into like, yeah, this sucks, right?
- 18:55Like whatever it is. Like it's not denying that the
- 18:58adversity is there, but like what can I transform it into?
- 19:02Yeah, like you use, you can use it for fuel kind of like that.
- 19:07Yeah. Well, usually it's, it can be
- 19:08the best fuel. Yeah, because then you're at a
- 19:10point to use it to something because you have a reason.
- 19:13And it's like, it's funny that you ask that because I'm so glad
- 19:17you asked that too. Because sometimes I think about
- 19:20I'll flash through every guest and now you guys are in the
- 19:23adventures and varsity family officially.
- 19:25So now whenever I have a problem, like a guest will flash
- 19:28into my mind and I'm like, what would Mason and Cameron do?
- 19:32What would Jack say about this? What would Jack's dad say about
- 19:35this? Because what would John say?
- 19:37And I'm like, dude, I can't sit in adversity for that long with
- 19:41all this good, these stories coming at me of how people get
- 19:45through it. You're like, well, they did.
- 19:47So I can somehow, right? That's going to lead me into a
- 19:51question. You had mentioned, Mason, and
- 19:54thank you for being vulnerable and sharing that you had
- 19:56struggled with acne. Do you mind?
- 19:58I guarantee you there's someone that's listening to this that
- 20:01has struggled with or is currently struggling with or has
- 20:04a kid that is struggling with skin issues or an adult like
- 20:08paramenopause. Hi.
- 20:09Had things happen with your skin?
- 20:11Tell me about that and then tell me about how Davini is helped
- 20:14answer and help that problem. Yeah, yeah, skins interesting.
- 20:18I and it really hit like because like right during high school it
- 20:22it was really bad like I've I've pictures and the stuff and I was
- 20:26I was playing golf because that's, you know, that's why I
- 20:28was on the golf course because most of my career was all in
- 20:30golf before I I had a scholarship to play in college
- 20:34and that's how I got myself through college and everything's
- 20:36yeah, I have these they have just gnarly pictures.
- 20:38They have my face had and acne everywhere and I, I, I, which is
- 20:42awesome too, because like that was a big personal sugar I had
- 20:44with like running a brand where it's like, well now I'm like the
- 20:47figure, you know, when you have acne, like you don't really want
- 20:49to like, yeah, like barrier because when you're talking to
- 20:52someone, you're like, like they know wrong.
- 20:55It's painful. And yeah, it's very as like as a
- 20:58human to have issues and it's like, and I was someone that,
- 21:02you know, I, I didn't take Accutane.
- 21:03I didn't take any kind of medications to solve what I was
- 21:06going through. I was like, well, there's a
- 21:07prop. There's a reason why my skin is
- 21:10doing this and I'm, and it's not just like something you'd
- 21:13package up because it's like, well, there's a larger issue of
- 21:15what's going on. And for me and what I've
- 21:18researched and, and why divinity ties into this is because a lot
- 21:21of it stems down to, you know, your skin's your biggest organ
- 21:24in your body. It's like, and it's all
- 21:26exterior. So anything that's you're
- 21:28struggling with internally is probably going to, you know, a
- 21:31lot of people have skin issues if they like go out on a night
- 21:33out and like the alcohol and everything caused a lot of
- 21:36Commission and, and bacteria in your body.
- 21:39And then it can, you know, you can have skin issues like that
- 21:42if you're like cessfully drinking all that gluten from
- 21:45like beer and foods. And so I, I, I kind of took it
- 21:49second and really started with diet.
- 21:51So I, I kind of just got away from a lot of inflammatory foods
- 21:54got back into like, OK, I need to like, let me consume like
- 21:57fruits and, you know, a good source like grass fed meats and
- 22:02like take out all the starchness and OK, let me, let me switch
- 22:05out like these carbs for like some good like sweet potatoes
- 22:08and vegetables and oils. Like, you know, all of the
- 22:11inflammatory oils that are in our food system now.
- 22:13So it's kind of just like stripping out all those filler
- 22:15ingredients and really getting back down like a base diet.
- 22:18And then probiotics were a big thing.
- 22:20I didn't know about that. I was starting to research into
- 22:23about how like, you know, it's, it's interesting.
- 22:27I found in research, like a lot of foreign countries that, you
- 22:30know, might not it, it's crazy how America struggles most when
- 22:34being like one of the most wealthiest countries in the
- 22:36world. And they have, we have the
- 22:37worst, you know, food and skin issues and looking at foreign
- 22:41countries and people in third world countries and you know,
- 22:44the skin's beautiful. It's like, why is that?
- 22:46And I think a lot of it's like in America, we try to put a
- 22:49bunch of products, you know, on our skin that we don't really
- 22:52know what's in it or, or the causes and irritates it.
- 22:56And then so I end up just stopping everything.
- 22:59Don't have, I don't do any face wash or any products now.
- 23:02I'm just like, my skin's a living Organism.
- 23:04I'm going to nourish it from the inside first.
- 23:06Yeah, clean my skin, take care of it.
- 23:08But I'm not going to put chemicals on it.
- 23:09And I'm going to let the healing come internally, which was where
- 23:12probiotics come into because those are, you know, used to go
- 23:15into your gut and restore your gut lining and and help those
- 23:18good bacteria actually be used, which connect to your brain and
- 23:21connect to your skin. So it was cool to get into the
- 23:24divinity product because you're just feeling, you know, kombucha
- 23:26has a base is affirmative T there's loads of probiotics in
- 23:29it and you kind of use that as a base, you know, with kombucha,
- 23:32with sauerkraut, with kimchi, with kefir, with all these firm,
- 23:35I think they're just such a no brainer to put in your everyday
- 23:38diet to, you know, use your your gut health, your stomach as your
- 23:41number one vessel for healing the rest of your body, which is
- 23:43kind of the thesis in a base of what we use Bush as our product
- 23:47for divinity. So I just learned so much in
- 23:52that segment that makes so much sense to me.
- 23:55Like just the way because you hear all this, you know, gut
- 23:57health and stuff, in the way that you broke it down, the way
- 24:00that you said, like you heal. Yeah, you heal it from the
- 24:04inside. It makes perfect sense of like
- 24:06your, it's almost like your skin was telling you like alert,
- 24:09alert, alert. There's something that's not
- 24:11like help. Your skin's asking for your help
- 24:13in a way, right. And yeah, and I appreciate that
- 24:17you sharing that because I know it's it's tough too.
- 24:19So did you actually like start to see changes in your skin
- 24:23through the through kombucha? Well, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 24:26Even after college, like I was still going through some issues.
- 24:29And then, yeah, right when I got into fermented foods and then
- 24:33and then with Davini, I don't know, I just need my skin force,
- 24:36predominantly my hair growth. Like everything just feels
- 24:40better and I can, I get very well tell when I, you just get
- 24:44like such a good compass for your body.
- 24:46The more you start like relying on foods and product instead of,
- 24:50you know, chemicals or outside stimulants to solve those
- 24:53problems. And then it's something that
- 24:54like I know I can control because I don't rely on any kind
- 24:58of outside sources to dictate or how I look.
- 25:00And then you just get into a routine and then you know, what
- 25:03works for you and you know, it changes for everyone.
- 25:05But I think at A, at a core foundation, I think if anyone's
- 25:08struggling with any of those issues, I think they need to
- 25:10look internally first and solve those.
- 25:12And I feel like any kind of products with probiotics is a
- 25:15great start. Awesome, awesome advice.
- 25:17And yeah, because I feel like it's just your skin, your face,
- 25:22obviously that's something that it's brings you a sense of
- 25:26confidence when you feel like your body isn't sort of like
- 25:30rebelling against you in a way, right?
- 25:32Like you're like, what's wrong? What am I doing wrong?
- 25:34And it's really comforting to hear that kombucha and like
- 25:38through this tea like that, that you feel good.
- 25:42Now tell me when people hear sort of the typical energy
- 25:45drink, right, You're like, you're like, oh, Monster Energy
- 25:48drink. And I'm not trying to like hate
- 25:49on brands or anything. I'm just saying you hear mixed
- 25:52things about like, oh, is that good for you?
- 25:53Like obviously with the story you just told, you're very
- 25:57conscious of ingredients. So tell me about what's in it,
- 26:03your favorite flavors. Obviously there's three
- 26:05different flavors and just give me the whole the whole product
- 26:07tour of of what's inside and and Cameron too.
- 26:10Tell me about the design and how you came up with that.
- 26:12Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I think with these
- 26:15products, I mean, these were all like home.
- 26:17Like these are my first flavors at Homebrewed.
- 26:18So we started with the apple cinnamon.
- 26:20That was like the most popular flavor, OK.
- 26:22And then we added the blueberry vanilla and the lemon ginger.
- 26:25So kind of a flavor for like every time of the.
- 26:27Yeah. The blueberries kind of like
- 26:29winter spring, then the lemon ginger is like a refreshing
- 26:32summer. I use the lemon ginger a lot.
- 26:34Like if I felt like a little groggy or sick or need something
- 26:37refreshing. Like it was just a really good
- 26:38combination to help me feel better.
- 26:40The blueberries just incredibly tasty and and it's got like the
- 26:45antioxidants from the blueberries, which is great.
- 26:47And then the the apple cinnamon is just like nostalgic for me.
- 26:51Like I love apple pie, like apple flavour things.
- 26:53My grandmother made an amazing apple pie.
- 26:55So it's just like it just like feels good.
- 26:57Like it's just like you smell and you're like it feels homey.
- 27:01So I love that. Yeah.
- 27:02The kombucha is, you know, we use that as a base, that whole
- 27:05thesis for why kombucha is great.
- 27:07Kombucha is also a natural. It's naturally acidic, so when
- 27:10you ferment it, it produces it lowers the pH.
- 27:14So instead of like for energy drinks, they'll usually have
- 27:16carbonated water as a base. And then you use citric acid,
- 27:19lactic acid, some kind of artificial acids, and naturally
- 27:22lower the pH and make it acidic. So kombucha is naturally that
- 27:26way. That's how the whole
- 27:27fermentation process happens, which makes it the best base for
- 27:30a beverage that's carbonated. So that's why we use that.
- 27:33And then you mentioned energy drinks.
- 27:35We hate on energy drinks too. I think there's so much better
- 27:37alternatives and that's kind of our number one right now.
- 27:43Yeah, and I think they use like circular.
- 27:47Yeah, and I think there's so many like like the product
- 27:50market has innovative so much. And I feel like people are.
- 27:53I just created a skit this morning where I like kind of
- 27:55want to like like the stereotypical energy drink
- 27:57person that like wakes up like, oh, I like I doomed scrolled
- 28:00till 2:00 AM and I got 4 hours of sleep and I'm just going to
- 28:02solve it with energy drink. And you just get like amped up
- 28:05and then your heart rates up and then you're anxious and you're
- 28:07like, Oh my God, why do I feel like like so just like, you
- 28:12know, it's like. I'm going to die.
- 28:14And you know, like, let's go back to the thesis in general,
- 28:17or it's like, OK, well, let's solve the issues, not solve the
- 28:19alternative of the issues and just patch it up and fix it,
- 28:22push it off. So I feel like this really goes
- 28:24back to like that thesis of, of starting from the base and then
- 28:27building up. So instead of artificial sugars,
- 28:30instead of cane sugar, we it's 0 sugar and then we add back
- 28:33honey. So honey is the main, the sugar
- 28:35source for our product. The total sugar in these is 8g.
- 28:38So it's about 5 or 6 grams of honey.
- 28:40And then the other sugars just from fruit juice, it's just
- 28:43straight, you know, juice concentrate that we source.
- 28:46So it's all this is apple juice concentrate, blueberry juice and
- 28:49and lemon. That's kind of like how we we
- 28:53don't want to put that that good sugar forward.
- 28:55We don't think sugars, you know, bad, it's not for everyone if
- 28:58they're, you know, have some sort of like diabetes or, you
- 29:03know, there's, there's things that require less sugar.
- 29:05But I think, you know, at, at a basis, if you see a beverage
- 29:08just like 0 calories, 0 sugar and it tastes amazing, there's
- 29:11probably a reason why it tastes good.
- 29:13And it's, and it, and it might be destroying your gut health
- 29:15and it might be destroying your, your body because it's like not,
- 29:20you know, artificial additives to get those macros to look
- 29:23good, but it's actually not doing you any good.
- 29:25So that's kind of the base. And then one special thing we
- 29:27did with this product is we kind of really wanted like a
- 29:30functional additive. Like how do we make this product
- 29:33where you actually like feel something?
- 29:35We know it's healthy for you, but I feel like it's, you know,
- 29:38like when you have a pack of morning coffee or you have, I
- 29:42don't know, something where you're like, you haven't you
- 29:43feeling effects like I love that cause and effect, especially
- 29:46with new products where you really feel like you're getting
- 29:48something out of it. So we added a number of
- 29:50supplements in the products. We have outfit GPC, we have
- 29:53Alfini and we have Vine's mane. We have ginseng, we have zinc, a
- 29:56lot of like really good, no tropics and and adapogenics to
- 29:59kind of just help you like naturally calm down, naturally
- 30:02focus. They're all, you know, stuff
- 30:04that will help your brain without having caffeine be like
- 30:07the main reason you're drinking a product.
- 30:08So it makes you healthy, it makes you focus and it really is
- 30:12a productive healthy beverage. So that's kind of the thesis for
- 30:15what's in the product and why we're doing it.
- 30:17It's. A fantastic thesis.
- 30:19Well, and then Cameron, why does it look so amazing?
- 30:23That's where you come in. Yeah, so we had a original
- 30:28design and it was really beautiful.
- 30:31It really was, but I realized like I was sitting inside of a
- 30:36Starbucks and I was trying to make something that like kind of
- 30:40fit, like, you know, that whole aesthetic that we're going for
- 30:43originally. And I realized how like hard it
- 30:46was to go down the design path that that we're going down.
- 30:49Before, it was more like, I would describe it as vineyard
- 30:53viney, old money and very like, you know, it looked expensive in
- 30:58my opinion. And I knew that I wanted that.
- 31:03We wanted to get this to everybody because I think it's
- 31:06important, you know, we both have health journey stories and
- 31:10Mason trying to fixing his acne and having that be provided to
- 31:15people. You can't eliminate, you know, a
- 31:18large group of people. And I think that's what our
- 31:20original product did. And I wanted to change it so we
- 31:23could fit a lot larger group of people.
- 31:26Yeah, like to keep it the two color scheme so that there's
- 31:32nothing that would like take you away.
- 31:35I think a lot of drinks, the design ends up being like very
- 31:37muttered and messy and they're all over the place.
- 31:39And I wanted something super simplistic that everybody can
- 31:42understand. And so we have like we got the
- 31:46apple pie, we got the blueberry vanilla and then the lemon
- 31:49ginger, all two color scheme. And I think that keeping it
- 31:53simple allows your eye and allows people to, it allows it
- 31:56to stand out in a very busy world.
- 31:58Like we're trying to break away from the noise, you know?
- 32:01And I think keeping it simple is exactly how you do that.
- 32:04But yeah, I wanted to create something that would be both
- 32:06simple to work with, simple for people to understand, and it
- 32:10really is simple ingredients that just help you.
- 32:13The whole thesis comes together. I'm not just brown nosing and
- 32:17like kissing up, I genuinely love.
- 32:19Like I'm just staring at the cans.
- 32:21I love, I love how you did it because my eye goes to, you
- 32:25know, Divini divine strong. And then you see the the flavor,
- 32:30like, like you said, there's so when you look at any kind of
- 32:32bottles, there is so much. And so it's a really nice.
- 32:35It's easy on the eyes. Yeah, I really like it.
- 32:38I, I am not a designer, but in my other job, I'm, I'm a content
- 32:41writer and I'm paired with designers.
- 32:44And so they they are like when all like on a PowerPoint, I'll
- 32:47be like, hey, I'll try this. And you're like, that's cute.
- 32:50I'm like, look, I did it. And they're like, you did good,
- 32:52Bree. It's good.
- 32:53And then when they do it, I'm like, damn, that's so good.
- 32:56Whoa. So I have such appreciation for
- 32:59what goes into the design of a brand and like of a can.
- 33:04And then you're thinking about how it feels in your hand and
- 33:07what it looks like in like there's just probably just
- 33:10hundreds and hundreds of hours went into what we're looking at
- 33:14in front. Of you a lot a lot of renditions
- 33:16yeah and honestly the ones even in front of you are not the
- 33:18final like the very very final one as like a very my new
- 33:22changes but that will yeah and can.
- 33:25Well, Cameron, can you, if you don't mind sharing anything
- 33:28about your health journey and any adversity that that you've
- 33:31been through, anything that that comes to mind that the drink has
- 33:35helped you with? Yeah, absolutely.
- 33:36And thank you to this guy. Oh my gosh, thank you.
- 33:39This guy. I'll say yeah, I used to be a
- 33:42fat meatball, very, very large human being.
- 33:46And I didn't, you know, life was good.
- 33:49It was very convenient because I I would just talk about this in
- 33:52a video, but like when you're when you're heftier, I was like
- 33:55247 lbs. You can go out and eat whatever
- 33:58you want. You can go out with friends and
- 34:00do whatever you want. It's very convenient.
- 34:02But then long term wise, the aftermath of, you know, having
- 34:05that convenience, you don't, you know, you don't feel good.
- 34:08You feel when you have like a lingering unconfidence to your
- 34:12obviously like, you know, you're a lot slower in the mind.
- 34:15Like I was not quick on a lot of things.
- 34:18And I think breaking, you know, in getting rid of the excess
- 34:21weight allowed me to think better.
- 34:23And why the why this drink ties into that is because our drink
- 34:27inherently is for your health is good for your gut health.
- 34:29And I think my gut health before was messed up.
- 34:33Like I would have major, major issues.
- 34:36Like, I'm back, I'm backed up, you know, the aqueduct is not
- 34:40flowing type. Listen, we keep it real and that
- 34:44is a really important part of life, and that's not good when
- 34:46it's backed up like it affects everything.
- 34:48Absolutely. You got some you got.
- 34:50You're not all the time. It's a shitty.
- 34:54And like, I think if you can get this mine and this mine right,
- 34:57you were going to be unstoppable.
- 35:00I don't know if you've ever had like issues or do you drink?
- 35:02Do you drink kombucha or anything?
- 35:04You know, I have a case on the way.
- 35:07It's order, but you know, I haven't typically been a
- 35:10kombucha drinker, but I'm very open to it.
- 35:14Yeah, that that seems to be the like people have like, Oh yeah,
- 35:17I tried it like one time or like they, they, they don't.
- 35:21I think that that's a other thesis behind like the whole
- 35:24brand image. I don't know why all these
- 35:26kombucha companies, they literally limit the amount of
- 35:28people they could sell. They go for that holistic, the
- 35:31people that are already into it and all the people that we've
- 35:34had try our drink, love it. And then and those people are
- 35:37not marketed to. It's like they they would
- 35:39literally buy this drink. Like it's like, it's crazy.
- 35:42So it's typically like very high end drink for like maybe maybe
- 35:48it's like a high price point, right?
- 35:49And it's like maybe you were saying it was just a different
- 35:52It's not available to the masses, is what you're saying?
- 35:55Yeah, yeah, not necessarily like it's a high price point drink,
- 35:58but more or like this promoted to a market where they were like
- 36:02a like a Yogi holistic very like into that already very all the
- 36:07way scale Wellness person and like that.
- 36:09That's great. You know, they're, they're
- 36:11probably feeling fantastic, but you know what I mean?
- 36:14They're like, you know, doing backflips and they can bend it,
- 36:16do all their stuff, but like. What about?
- 36:19You know, you know what I mean? Like, what about like everybody
- 36:22else, that if you did give it to them and the working class
- 36:24person, if you give something that also helps their entire
- 36:27body, I mean that that day will just feel much, much, much, much
- 36:31better. I love, thank you again for
- 36:33sharing that because I know it's not easy to, to share something
- 36:37from your personal life and you guys are open and I appreciate
- 36:39that, But I, I don't take it lightly when someone shares that
- 36:42something that they've overcome. And I know just like weight and
- 36:46health is, it's obviously a huge issue in our country
- 36:50specifically, I mean around the world, but specifically the US.
- 36:52So I guarantee you someone listening is like, wow, he
- 36:57struggled with his weight. Wow, he got through it.
- 37:00Wait, maybe I can turn this around.
- 37:02Yeah, imagine, I feel like in the US there, everybody is so
- 37:06like driven. They're so, you know, they want
- 37:09to make it out. I feel like that's like a big
- 37:11consensus. But like, if imagine if
- 37:13everybody in the US was healthy, how unstoppable will be?
- 37:18I think a lot of people are muttered because of the fact
- 37:20that they are unhealthy and they end up getting like really lazy
- 37:23because apparently, like, if you can't, if you can't be moving
- 37:26around like you're going to be, you're going to be slow.
- 37:29And imagine if, imagine if you're healthy at the same time,
- 37:31we would like, Oh my God, we'd go crazy.
- 37:33When you feel like shit, you, you can't.
- 37:36When I feel like shit, like I it's paralyzing.
- 37:39Yeah, like it's paralyzing. You eat a big burrito, the day's
- 37:42over, you know? I know my husband will be like
- 37:46I'm done. I'm like, great, I'll take care
- 37:48of everything. But like sweet.
- 37:50No, but it it paralyzes you physically, mentally,
- 37:53emotionally when you feel not confident, you feel heavy your
- 37:59mood, right. So it sounds like if you were to
- 38:02wake up or have one of these throughout the day, you're not
- 38:05going to be like like you're not.
- 38:06It's because you guys have been there and you know that that
- 38:09sucks. For sure.
- 38:10Yeah. Yeah, again.
- 38:12So this is solve problems. Let's let's let's get a society
- 38:15where we're like looking around us.
- 38:16And I really like how you were talking earlier about, you know,
- 38:19if you really want to get out of something, you take yourself
- 38:21outside the situation, outside of yourself and like look from,
- 38:24really look from a third person perspective.
- 38:26And, you know, take all the problems that, you know, you're,
- 38:30you know, I, I feel like you can get a really good case study
- 38:32based off of your own circumstances, your friends or
- 38:34family and like solve a lot of problems.
- 38:37But just like, instead of looking at yourself, just look
- 38:39around. You know, it's so cuz I was
- 38:43telling John on episode 90 sometimes I'm like I'm so sick
- 38:46of myself. Like I'm like, I don't want
- 38:49like, can I help? I'm tired of trying to help
- 38:51myself. Like help yourself work on
- 38:53yourself. It's like, what can I do that
- 38:55will help other people? And then like a byproduct of
- 38:58that is I just help myself. Like, right.
- 39:01It's like, it's crazy. It doesn't make sense where
- 39:03you're like, wait, help other people to help yourself.
- 39:05And it's like, no, I I think that's the trick, actually.
- 39:10Yeah, absolutely. You're going to want to help in
- 39:12a way that's you're called, I feel like you're called to
- 39:15causes that you can understand the pain, right?
- 39:18You guys know like what a drink like this can, the problems that
- 39:22it can solve because you've felt the pain of those problems.
- 39:25Absolutely, yeah. And you and you look around and
- 39:28not only see it from yourself, but yeah, you look around, you
- 39:30know, go to any gas station, go to any.
- 39:32And you know, most kombucha products are, you know, they
- 39:35they're sold in Whole Foods, they're sold in national
- 39:37groceries. Or, you know, how do we get this
- 39:39product to, you know, everyday consumers that are, are buying
- 39:4324 packs of coke and you know, it's a pack of monster and rebel
- 39:47off the shelf and having that in like their house, Like that's
- 39:50what they're having their kids on their grab and go beverage.
- 39:53Or like, well, I feel like, you know, it's, it's an aspect of
- 39:56like you're kind of bred up in environments.
- 39:58You know, obviously you're, you're so heavily influenced by
- 40:01your family and into the house. And I feel like food and
- 40:03beverage is a obvious standpoint.
- 40:06A lot of mothers are called to. Hey, what are we bringing into
- 40:09our house? What are we feeding our kids?
- 40:11And, you know, kind of reclaiming power of your own
- 40:14house and authority of, you know, what you're teaching your
- 40:18your kids of how to consume things properly.
- 40:21And then having, you know, some freedom to, hey, maybe let's
- 40:24start cooking some meals together.
- 40:26Let's start bringing that family culture back instead of going
- 40:28out and being unable to identify what we're consuming as a
- 40:32culture. So I feel like transparency is
- 40:34huge. I feel like, you know, really
- 40:36giving people power back over their health is such a
- 40:39foundation for everything else in life because if you have
- 40:41health, you have a lot of power. Yeah.
- 40:44Do you have any non negotiables at your household health wise?
- 40:47I try to have like, of course they have some like the fishies
- 40:51and the this right like which I'm like, but I will say like
- 40:56they know that we were mixing broccoli in there like at some
- 41:00point throughout the week and they know too like that I'm
- 41:04trying what I'm trying to do. I have a fourth grader and a
- 41:06second grader boy and a girl. And I'm like, OK, for the girl,
- 41:09I'm like, I don't want you to like be obsessed with your body
- 41:12image, but I want you to be conscious of your health but
- 41:14like own your body. But like don't like be aware but
- 41:17not too aware. And then for the guy, like, you
- 41:19know, whatever, but be strong, you know, like you have these
- 41:21things. So for me, it's like, I don't
- 41:24want to forbid and be like you will never, but it's like I'm
- 41:29trying to teach them like what's a balance of like, hey, we went
- 41:33out for pizza last night. We're not going to like have
- 41:35candy for breakfast, like or sometimes we're like no to
- 41:38dessert, just balance. But I don't want them to feel
- 41:40like there's a lock on the cabinet or you know what I mean?
- 41:44But also it's a great point. The people with the buying
- 41:47power, that's what you're bringing in.
- 41:49The kids are like you. I get so sad when you see kids
- 41:54that are super overweight because it's just like, it's
- 41:57hard like. Yeah, it's not like they're
- 41:59going to the grocery store and. I'm also not like shaming the
- 42:03parents either. I'm just like what they might be
- 42:05struggling with their health too.
- 42:06And then and then what's available and what price And you
- 42:10know, so it's a great question. And I think like as I get older
- 42:14and I start to realize the value of like your health, not just
- 42:18from an aesthetic point of view, you start to be like, Oh my
- 42:21gosh, health is like more than your Jean size.
- 42:24You know, you start to be like, Oh, I want my kids to like love
- 42:27their body, you know, do you want them to?
- 42:31One thing I got to ask you that. I love that when I was
- 42:34researching you guys and like, you know, friendly little, like
- 42:38looking at everything and just getting excited about this
- 42:40interview. I love the line where you said
- 42:42it's, it's like a lifestyle and the drink is what gets you in
- 42:46the door to this whole way of living.
- 42:48And I was like, and then the drink with intention.
- 42:51I'm like, I love that because it's not just an I really now
- 42:55having talked to you guys, I get what you're saying that when you
- 42:57pick up a can and you're drinking it, you're taking care
- 43:00of your body. But like it's about all the
- 43:03events that you guys put together and the brand
- 43:05philosophy and what you guys believe.
- 43:08So tell me about that. Yeah.
- 43:09I mean, I mean, we've done so many events.
- 43:11We did probably 100 events in 2025.
- 43:14Amazing going to like college party rooftops to try to get a
- 43:18bunch of drug college kid have kamuchat.
- 43:21Which they did, though. They did.
- 43:23They're right, though. Yeah, it's pretty entertaining
- 43:25to kind of go to these different events, different demographic,
- 43:29different age ranges of college kids to older adults to just
- 43:34kind of see like how people interact with products.
- 43:36And I don't know, I think a big piece of what we learned is
- 43:40like, I think so many people want, it's not like, you know,
- 43:43we go about our daily lives. We're like, I'm going to like
- 43:45ruin my body and do all these terrible things.
- 43:48And people want to think that. You.
- 43:51You. You're trying to not be awful.
- 43:53Yeah, yeah. Right.
- 43:55Yeah, true. And I think it really just goes
- 43:58down to like, you know, I think education is huge.
- 44:00A lot of people just don't know or haven't, you know, it's not
- 44:04like our system schooling does a great job of like telling you
- 44:08how to take care of yourself and you know, how to prepare for a
- 44:11lot of parts of life. And health is definitely one of
- 44:13those things that, you know, you kind of just like figure out as
- 44:16you go and no one really helps you and tells you what's what.
- 44:19So and, you know, look at all their products, our stores and
- 44:22kind of what's happened in past 40 years since fast food started
- 44:24and, you know, look at and look where the money's gone and you
- 44:28kind of create these paper trails to see, you know, it's
- 44:31just like, it's not necessarily a, you know, it could be bad
- 44:33things and in some ways, but I think it's just a natural cycle
- 44:36of like, Hey, we were trying to solve how to make food cheaper
- 44:39and more convenient and we solve that, but it came with some
- 44:41casualties and some bad parts of it.
- 44:43So I think it just takes, you know, every generation is trying
- 44:46to figure out how to, you know, reverse some stuff and and
- 44:49create opportunities from one is and I think we've just I've seen
- 44:53a big thing through talking to people and we really just want
- 44:55to have people think more and drink intentionally and do
- 44:59things intentionally and not only in our beverage, but in how
- 45:02you do life. You know, if you're if you're
- 45:04working at a job or you're in a career or you're in a
- 45:07relationship and you're like, wow, this isn't really good for
- 45:09me. It's like that's not
- 45:10intentional. You know, you need to be you
- 45:13kind of take some emotions out of the situation.
- 45:15And really to your point, again, look from things from a third
- 45:18party perspective and really understand whether these things
- 45:21are good for you or not and be honest with yourself.
- 45:23And if they're not, then they probably need to be changed
- 45:25because, you know, you don't want to live like that.
- 45:27And you have control over that over the end of the day, no one
- 45:29else is going to tell you, you know, if people can guide you
- 45:32and people can speak to you, but it's, it's really up to you at
- 45:34the end of the day. And, you know, everyone's trying
- 45:37to reach this like homeostasis in life where they're happy,
- 45:40healthy and, you know, doing all these things that you think and
- 45:44you know, everyone has different ways of going about it.
- 45:46So it's really that kind of self journey you got to figure out
- 45:48for yourself. But there's things you can do to
- 45:50to make it a lot easier and make it more practical and more fun.
- 45:55Yeah. Love that.
- 45:56No, I mean it's it I feel like that was just sort of a pep talk
- 45:59for me to like looking at my life.
- 46:01I'm like looking at every area of your life, what you're
- 46:04consuming, both like food, drinks, who's in your life, your
- 46:09friends, like what are you watching?
- 46:12Where are you going? Like what are you breathing in
- 46:15in your house? Like how are it's, it's
- 46:17intentional and I, I love that you guys like are so authentic
- 46:24and genuine because it's just, it's comforting to know that
- 46:27because you hear such horror stories about the food industry
- 46:30and what's in all their food. And then you start meeting
- 46:32people like you guys that are like, guys, this is
- 46:35intentionally everything's in there.
- 46:37And like, it's just refreshing to know that there's founders
- 46:41like you who really care about people and like what they're
- 46:44putting in their bodies, you know?
- 46:47It's like reflection of like we care about what we put in our
- 46:50bodies, so why were we not for everybody at like, if I I
- 46:53wouldn't drink this, I wouldn't sell it.
- 46:54You know, that's the type of thing, yeah.
- 46:57The things that you know deep down that you would represent.
- 46:59That's like that McDonald's. The McDonald's video of like the
- 47:02founder or not founder, the owner of McDonald's he didn't
- 47:05like really want to eat the snacks.
- 47:08See that video? Yeah, certainly.
- 47:09Like they're just like. Yeah, he's like, that's like the
- 47:12crazy enemy That's yeah, like all.
- 47:15Right. You, you know, you got to step
- 47:16into that role. Like freaking down a Big Mac.
- 47:18Yeah, go see it. Yeah, you like 5-10.
- 47:20Like, let's see, you own it so. I.
- 47:22Don't know, I think that's always looking at cursing,
- 47:24creating something. No, you have to right, Like it's
- 47:28coming from the the you keep talking about, which I love sort
- 47:32of this foundation, this base. Like if you think about your gut
- 47:35as the base of your health, right, or part of it, and you
- 47:38think about like the base of your company being you 2 and the
- 47:41vision, like everything comes out of that, you know?
- 47:44And so let me ask you this. What are you most excited about
- 47:49in the next half of 2026 for Divini?
- 47:52I mean, I, I'm definitely, I mean, personally, I'm most
- 47:56excited about, you know, things is accessibility.
- 48:00We've been trying to create this ideology and this product for so
- 48:03long. And, and now we've, we've, we've
- 48:05finally come to like a like a base product that we're happy to
- 48:08enable to like, you know, start getting out there in like bigger
- 48:12quantities and, and more systematically.
- 48:14You know, it's sure you might, you know, want to want to have a
- 48:17lot of, you know, good things in your life, but it's hard when
- 48:20you have to like do all your sourcing online and now you have
- 48:23like 20 different buyers are trying to get those ingredients
- 48:25from. And next thing you know, your,
- 48:27your bill is 2 grand for the month off Wellness products.
- 48:29It's like, you know, no one wants that.
- 48:31You want it to fit into your schedule and make sense.
- 48:33I think. I mean, for me, I'm just excited
- 48:35to put a product, a better product into, you know, kind of
- 48:39a system where people go in their everyday lives and it's
- 48:42like, Oh my gosh, this is if any like, like to have people go,
- 48:45you know, in a shelf or in their local store and see our product
- 48:48and be like, Oh my God, I just got, you know, I, I think I, I
- 48:51did good by, you know, getting the sandwich or getting
- 48:54something as opposed to like something else I would get, and
- 48:56now I'm thirsty, like I could get a soda and OK, now let's,
- 48:59let's transition. That's that's the next step.
- 49:01You know, we really want our product to be that introductory
- 49:04to the health in a, in a culture that's not primarily might be
- 49:08that way. So if you have a tasty product
- 49:10that you know is healthy, that's a good, good catalyst for
- 49:15change. Yeah, I'm definitely excited for
- 49:18like being surrounded by more people that are passionate.
- 49:21Like I think that like we've got a great group of people here in
- 49:24Arizona. But I know that the more, the
- 49:27more we expand, the more fruitful and the amount of
- 49:30people that we'll meet that are passionate.
- 49:32You know, I want to, I want to see.
- 49:35So I'm excited to expand to meet more people, I would say.
- 49:38Yeah, well, I can tell you through this podcast, I hope and
- 49:43know that you're gonna get a few customers here because I feel
- 49:47like for many reasons, right, like you guys, you have a vision
- 49:51to help people. You have a great product.
- 49:53And I've also been looking at you can even look on your
- 49:56Instagram when you see people sampling it like in some of
- 49:59those older videos, people genuinely like at these running
- 50:02events or taking it and they're like, damn, this is good.
- 50:04Like it's it's you know, you're not getting your typical Monster
- 50:08Energy sort of nastiness. You know, it's a totally
- 50:11different experience of a grink that that can help you.
- 50:15So I'm glad that you guys are are going for it.
- 50:18You just gave me an idea that I I think we should sit 4 people
- 50:21and they talk to each other while drinking a monster and
- 50:24then compared to talking to each other while drinking Divini.
- 50:27That's good. That's a good idea.
- 50:28Please. I mean, there's so I feel like.
- 50:32Like see the difference between the?
- 50:34Yeah, Well, no. And I really like when I saw
- 50:36those videos, I'm like, people are tasting it and they're
- 50:38genuinely having this reaction And it's like a hot day and
- 50:41they're running and this is like refreshing, you know, like this
- 50:44is so no. And again, we're coming up to
- 50:47the top of the hour flying by here, but I want to give you
- 50:50guys a chance to just leave us with any parting words.
- 50:53Like if somebody on the other end of other air pods or they're
- 50:57they're listening to this while they're cleaning or whatever.
- 51:00What do you when when you're going through a tough time and
- 51:03you're going through adversity and you've learned, obviously
- 51:06you through this whole venture through your lives leading up to
- 51:08this point. Do you have any advice for
- 51:10anyone who might be struggling out there on the other end?
- 51:13I would say, I would say don't stay in situations that you
- 51:17know, are good for you and that if you really want to do
- 51:19something, didn't, it's up to you to do it.
- 51:22You know, I think there's so many people in this world and
- 51:25you know, I, I guarantee you I, you know, there's 1-2, there's
- 51:28one to 10 things in everyone's life.
- 51:30They're like, I mean, I really want to do that.
- 51:32But and then it's just like, but and then there's all those
- 51:34things, you know, I, I think it's in so important to just
- 51:37create those non negotiables and then and then talk to trusted
- 51:40people and really like game plan, strategize, like really
- 51:43plan things intentionally. I think you just, you're going
- 51:46to get so much done in a year, six months, two months, one
- 51:50month. I think a lot of people are
- 51:52nervous to be how much you can do it in time to start, to start
- 51:56doing what you know is is good for you, right?
- 51:58Yeah, I think you are what you consume.
- 52:01You are what you think you are and that person that you want to
- 52:06be. You can be it as long as you
- 52:08move forward and become that person.
- 52:11Now I think, I think life is about walking through the fire
- 52:14and then eventually enjoying the fire that you're walking
- 52:17through. It won't.
- 52:18It won't feel. It won't feel as bad as you
- 52:21continue to walk forward. You'll get hard into it.
- 52:24That was so good. I really genuinely love both of
- 52:27those answers. It's beautiful because I know
- 52:30that you guys, I know it's not easy and I know you know,
- 52:33looking at you can see these three cans.
- 52:35Oh, wow, you have a company. I know that there's a lot of
- 52:38blood, sweat and tears that go, be, go, go on to build a
- 52:41company. And I think on behalf of all the
- 52:44people that you have helped that you're going to help through
- 52:48drinking this and through sort of just the lifestyle of like
- 52:51doing things with intention and everything your brand
- 52:53represents. Just wanted to thank you
- 52:55because, yeah, I mean, it's you're doing a really good thing
- 52:58in the world. And I think your success will be
- 53:00like a byproduct of all the all the ways that you're helping
- 53:03people. Yeah, that's great.
- 53:05I appreciate that. Is there any mission statement
- 53:07or anything that comes to mind for you?
- 53:10For. Relationship.
- 53:12No. For your life?
- 53:13Yeah. Is there anything that comes?
- 53:14I love, I love I've been in the hot seat on this.
- 53:18I want to you guys are inspiring me to.
- 53:21There's a few things I want to do with the podcast that I'm a
- 53:25little scared to try where I'm like, no, but I can't really do
- 53:29that. That's like, that's for like the
- 53:31big podcasters or like, that's not, that's too, you know, I
- 53:35want to get into like inspirational merchandise and
- 53:38like inspired by quotes from my guests.
- 53:41I have a whole vision in my mind.
- 53:42I'm just too scared to do it. I don't know.
- 53:44Because, you know, you just hear like, I can't.
- 53:47What if no one buys it? But you're like, no, actually
- 53:51I'm getting when you said Cameron starting to enjoy the
- 53:53fire or like, I'm like, wait, it's kind of exciting to take
- 53:57that on, but can I do it? What if what if it inspires
- 54:00someone And it's kind of like, so you guys are pushing me to
- 54:04keep evolving in the way that Divini is evolving.
- 54:08That's great. I guess I've got a lot to do
- 54:10now. Yeah, we'll, we'll keep an eye.
- 54:13We'll keep an eye on on that. I want to see it.
- 54:15Well, I mean we're partners now, you know, you guys are in the
- 54:18show notes and you guys are like the first sponsor.
- 54:23So it's you will forever be in my heart as so special.
- 54:26Really. Honestly, I like I could cry
- 54:28like it just means so much to me so.
- 54:31That's amazing. Thank.
- 54:32You. Yeah.
- 54:32Thank you. Yeah, Well, guys, OK, now I'm
- 54:35going back into like, I'm like about crying.
- 54:37I want to my dog just closed the door.
- 54:39I want to wrap up the episode by letting you guys know to go into
- 54:44the show notes if you haven't already.
- 54:46We've got live divinity.com. We've got discount codes in the
- 54:50show notes. We've got a link to your
- 54:52Instagram. We've got all the links that
- 54:54you're going to send me after this that you want me to
- 54:56include. And I would love to have you
- 54:59guys back for the next round of stories because we know that
- 55:02you're kind of just going through adversity every day and
- 55:05handling it. You know, it's what you do.
- 55:08Next milestone, we're definitely back.
- 55:10We got you. OK.
- 55:11All right. And then we'll have you on when
- 55:15you have your whole merch line and everything, we'll put it up
- 55:18on the screen, you know, so. OK, all right.
- 55:21I'm scared, but I'll do it. OK, I'll do it.
- 55:23I'll do it. I'll do it.
- 55:23And the next year I'm getting merch, maybe even the next 90
- 55:27days. Let's time box this year.
- 55:31Yeah, it's just fun, makes it real.
- 55:32And actually the Barrett entry is not as bad as you think.
- 55:36I mean, we made it for these shirts.
- 55:38I mean, we just got some blanks. We found a company locally.
- 55:40We did a print and. I know.
- 55:43All of our events we went to was like, Hey, we also have shirts
- 55:45and people bought them. You know, if people really like
- 55:47what you do. And again, it's all
- 55:49storytelling. If you could storytell and you
- 55:51have such a great story to tell with why you started this.
- 55:53And you have to, you know what these people say and and I'm
- 55:56sure so many great quotes that you've heard from people and
- 55:59you're like, Oh my God, that like, like people like wearing
- 56:02symbols that represent their lives.
- 56:04It's like we're in armor, you know, like I want to wear things
- 56:07on my body that make me redefine and reinstil who I am, this
- 56:11person. So I feel like that's such a
- 56:12powerful something you can do with clothing in general.
- 56:16So I feel like you're your mindset for why you want to do
- 56:19that. I think a great spot.
- 56:21Well, I think we have, I think I see a sweatshirt with definitely
- 56:24what you said, Cameron, about walking through the fire.
- 56:26I'll get the quote, but it's happening.
- 56:29Yeah, I want to wear it. You're like no you can't wear it
- 56:32everybody else can, but you can't you're like I said it well
- 56:35guys I thank you again I'm wrapping up and this Divini
