- 0:22Speaker 2: But we've got an hour of local sports and music.
- 0:27Speaker 2: What a great time midding the.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Day you're in the office in a lunchtime, sit back
- 0:34Speaker 1: and relax, get that get along.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Coming up, we've got local football rugby, a bit of
- 0:45Speaker 2: basketball with a wheelchair basketball, a bit of hockey news,
- 0:50Speaker 2: and if we can't squeeze him in, I've got a
- 0:52Speaker 2: couple of run reports where I.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Was on the mic at the Canterbury ten.
- 0:58Speaker 2: And last Sunday at Beachbury Park where they had a
- 1:02Speaker 2: five and a ten miler, which is where I lost
- 1:05Speaker 2: my voice. It was a pretty long day and so
- 1:07Speaker 2: excuse me if I'm a bit croaky. So let's get
- 1:14Speaker 2: cracking with the show with a belt from nineteen ninety six,
- 1:21Speaker 2: you've got the remixed version of Tony Braxton Unbreak My
- 1:24Speaker 2: Heart's a crowry house there always take their weather with you. Excuseually,
- 2:02Speaker 2: I am, oh dear, I'm really croaking today. Yeah, put
- 2:06Speaker 2: that one on because it kind of weathers in between
- 2:09Speaker 2: at the moment, isn't it is trying to now sun's
- 2:11Speaker 2: trying to come out but it's still a bit chilly.
- 2:13Speaker 2: But the evening did you notice how light it was
- 2:16Speaker 2: yesterday evening? Oh isn't it great? You know we're on
- 2:18Speaker 2: the turn. Let's hang on in there till February and
- 2:21Speaker 2: bring on the springtime. Okay, let's start with what's happening
- 2:25Speaker 2: locally in the football scene. And folks in Victor beat
- 2:28Speaker 2: Hendon two nil away goals coming from a Joe Turner
- 2:31Speaker 2: and Jack Jeb. Now hear more about this game on
- 2:34Speaker 2: Saturday because our man on the spot he went to
- 2:36Speaker 2: the match ADYDWK, so he'd be able to tell you
- 2:38Speaker 2: all about it on Saturday. This week in Victor got
- 2:42Speaker 2: no midweek game, but they are home to sixth place
- 2:45Speaker 2: Chichester on Saturday in Victor on ninth This is going
- 2:49Speaker 2: to be a real, real This is a six pointer really,
- 2:51Speaker 2: so we'd have a chat about that on Saturday. Meanwhile,
- 2:55Speaker 2: at Richfield, Hide conceded a penalty in the ninety seventh
- 2:59Speaker 2: minute with the score standing at Neil Neil. Unfortunately for Hive,
- 3:02Speaker 2: the three Bridges player stepped up and scored, keeping Hive
- 3:05Speaker 2: second from bottom. And you know what, they really are
- 3:08Speaker 2: facing a real chance of relegation this season. Let's just
- 3:13Speaker 2: hope it doesn't come to it. This week another home
- 3:16Speaker 2: game to a Croydon Athletic They last Saturday, New Romney's
- 3:20Speaker 2: Ken Intermediate Challenge Shield, the semi final against Metro Gas
- 3:23Speaker 2: for the Alkaline Stadium was called off last minute by
- 3:26Speaker 2: the referee, much to the amazement of the players, due
- 3:30Speaker 2: to a water log pitch, which is a massive shame
- 3:33Speaker 2: as it was played on the Sunday by in Victor
- 3:35Speaker 2: under eighteens who had an excellent four to three win
- 3:38Speaker 2: against unbeaten crab Wanderers. Then in the afternoon the women's
- 3:41Speaker 2: team beat a Makestone development team twelve nil. Yeah all right,
- 3:47Speaker 2: get up as a chair, come on, stand up again.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Yeah it was it was towelve neil and they played
- 3:52Speaker 2: that on the Alkaline pitch as well. But there's got
- 3:54Speaker 2: some good news for you later on in the show
- 3:56Speaker 2: about the New Romney game. Meanwhile, back in the Energy
- 4:00Speaker 2: County Premier League, the Romney still remain eight points clear
- 4:03Speaker 2: at the top and this Saturday is another cup game
- 4:06Speaker 2: in the Interregional Challenge Cup as they face an away
- 4:09Speaker 2: trip to falcon Wood FC, who are sixth in Division
- 4:13Speaker 2: one West. So this means a trip to Phoenix Sports
- 4:16Speaker 2: Ground in Bexley Heath. Hawkinstown drew one all against fleet
- 4:20Speaker 2: Down United and this Saturday they've got a home game
- 4:23Speaker 2: against Idle Hill. Now the Hawks are in fourth spot,
- 4:27Speaker 2: whilst Oda Hill are bottom of the division, having won
- 4:30Speaker 2: just two games all season, so hopefully the Hawks will
- 4:33Speaker 2: pick up some points there. Okay, So coming up, time
- 4:36Speaker 2: for a bit of adele Do you remember this one
- 4:38Speaker 2: chasing pavements.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I've made up my mind.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Don't need to think it over. If I'm wrong, I
- 4:52Speaker 4: am right, don't need to look no further.
- 4:56Speaker 1: The Sailors.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Sham ski Lea's nowhere.
- 5:17Speaker 1: As a there there.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Of course I did understand that title chasing payments, but
- 5:22Speaker 2: it seemed to work, isn't it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Okay? Time for a bit of a rugby news now.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Folkston and Rugby Club's first fifteen had an excellent forty
- 5:30Speaker 2: two to twenty sixth victory on the road against Gillinghamancurian's.
- 5:34Speaker 2: At the end of the day, the league table showed
- 5:36Speaker 2: that the Ancurians were in third place and Folkston are
- 5:39Speaker 2: in seventh now with no fixture on Saturday this Saturday.
- 5:43Speaker 2: The following week, on the fifteenth, they welcome Vigo, who
- 5:46Speaker 2: are eleventh to the Burlington Fields. Now the Vigo ground
- 5:50Speaker 2: is between West Morling and Mephams up that way. But
- 5:54Speaker 2: I did a bit of googling, you know, I thought, Vigo,
- 5:56Speaker 2: what's that all about? But it turns out that there's
- 5:59Speaker 2: a pub ear near Gravesend called the Via Go in
- 6:03Speaker 2: and round about nineteen sixty eight.
- 6:06Speaker 1: There's a load of lads.
- 6:06Speaker 2: They're having a few beers and saying what's the best
- 6:09Speaker 2: exercise to work off the beers? And some of them
- 6:13Speaker 2: have played rugby before and basically that is how the
- 6:17Speaker 2: rugby club started. They rented a field off a farmer
- 6:20Speaker 2: and just kind of mode it. The story goes that
- 6:24Speaker 2: a few telegraph poles disappeared off the local estate and
- 6:28Speaker 2: overnight became rugby posts and it sufflies for a few games.
- 6:33Speaker 2: They used the chicken shed as a changing room and
- 6:37Speaker 2: you know, it outgrew itself and then they moved on
- 6:40Speaker 2: to another another venue. They kept this there for a
- 6:44Speaker 2: few years, but they are now currently in between West
- 6:47Speaker 2: Morning and Mepham up that way in North Kent and
- 6:52Speaker 2: they are quite established now. So there's the story of Viago.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I often wondered if I couldn't find it. It's not
- 6:58Speaker 2: a place, but there is a u in graves End
- 7:00Speaker 2: called the Via go In and that's where it all started.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Okay, So where now? Where was I? Okay?
- 7:08Speaker 2: The second fifteen took a fifty three to three pound
- 7:12Speaker 2: in from Snowden at the weekend and this weekend they
- 7:15Speaker 2: faced a local rivals, Dover.
- 7:18Speaker 1: No matter what happens.
- 7:21Speaker 2: At the gravel Ground on Saturday, there's always that extra
- 7:23Speaker 2: little bit by it between Folkston and Dover.
- 7:26Speaker 1: In any sport, the folks as women's team.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I used to play bottom club Maystone at home on Sunday,
- 7:32Speaker 2: and studying the tables, it looks like the last game
- 7:35Speaker 2: of Maystone is supposed to play against Cranbrook Ladies. They
- 7:38Speaker 2: conceded the game, which normally means they couldn't raise a side.
- 7:42Speaker 2: So let's hope they can get a team together to
- 7:44Speaker 2: play Folkston. I mean it is tough, you know, you
- 7:47Speaker 2: set out any side really a lady's side, junior side,
- 7:51Speaker 2: a sort of third or a four to eleven. You
- 7:53Speaker 2: start off with all good intentions at the start of
- 7:55Speaker 2: the season. Then as it goes by it you know,
- 7:59Speaker 2: people get in, they move away, perhaps they change jobs
- 8:02Speaker 2: move out the area, so it's really really is tough
- 8:06Speaker 2: to keep aside altogether. Now did you see the Six Nations?
- 8:11Speaker 2: Oh my word, you had to feel for Wales, didn't you,
- 8:14Speaker 2: getting battered forty three and ill by the French. Now,
- 8:17Speaker 2: I also watched Scotland beat Italy thirty one nineteen and
- 8:20Speaker 2: I must confess that this one, well, parts of it
- 8:22Speaker 2: I watched with the soundtound was that I was listening
- 8:26Speaker 2: on my computer to ADYE Dawks commentating on the Invictor game,
- 8:31Speaker 2: which he does at home and away. Is such a
- 8:33Speaker 2: good loyal supporter Seasider's radio is there the comment gives
- 8:38Speaker 2: the commentaries out and then I settled down in the
- 8:41Speaker 2: evening to watch England get beaten twenty seven twenty two
- 8:44Speaker 2: by a very determined island side. This weekend it's Italy
- 8:49Speaker 2: are home to Wales. That's Saturday to fifteen kickoff. This
- 8:52Speaker 2: should prove a very interesting game after Wales's forty three hammering,
- 8:56Speaker 2: because the ever improve in Italy in front of their
- 8:59Speaker 2: own passionate face and could really fancy themselves to win
- 9:02Speaker 2: this one. Also on Saturday at four forty five, England
- 9:07Speaker 2: will be twigging them against France. Now this is always
- 9:10Speaker 2: a special fixture, but I'm sure England won't be letting
- 9:12Speaker 2: the French score forty three points. And the third game
- 9:16Speaker 2: is on Sunday at the Murrayfield Stadium as Scotland take
- 9:19Speaker 2: on Ireland. So already this Six Nations is turning once
- 9:22Speaker 2: again to a very exciting tournament. Okay, we're going to
- 9:26Speaker 2: move on up now to nineteen ninety one, and I
- 9:29Speaker 2: love this one, Genesis, go and see them. Well, it's
- 9:32Speaker 2: only that you can't see them, but there's a tribute
- 9:34Speaker 2: band coming up at the Tower Theater, I do believe,
- 9:37Speaker 2: and the end of March about a twenty second check
- 9:39Speaker 2: them out. In the meantime, is I Can't Dance Genesis
- 10:13Speaker 2: nineteen ninety one. There, that's the song where they did
- 10:18Speaker 2: that like Dad's dancing walk across the stage right then
- 10:23Speaker 2: every time there, every time that song comes on at
- 10:25Speaker 2: a party or wedding reception, the auto blokes start walking
- 10:28Speaker 2: all funny. Okay, excuse me, time for a bit of Well,
- 10:34Speaker 2: we're moving on to basketball now. The Folks and Saints
- 10:37Speaker 2: basketball teams continue to soldier on and they actually posted
- 10:41Speaker 2: some of the updates on their league position.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So let's have a little read out of that.
- 10:45Speaker 2: The under fourteen's NBL, that's the National the National Basketball League.
- 10:50Speaker 2: That side are currently second in their division with two
- 10:53Speaker 2: games in hand of a top team Bromley Fury and
- 10:56Speaker 2: the team still ever played each other, so this could
- 10:58Speaker 2: be a thrilling end to the season. The under fourteen's
- 11:01Speaker 2: had a good win at the weekend, beat in seven
- 11:03Speaker 2: Oaks Suns by eighty five points to forty eight. The
- 11:07Speaker 2: under sixteen eighteen are currently fifth in a division of
- 11:10Speaker 2: tough teams, beating MSc Royals at the weekend by seventy
- 11:14Speaker 2: one points to forty five, and the under eighteens they're
- 11:18Speaker 2: also finding it tough, currently in six position in their league.
- 11:23Speaker 2: And I'm hoping to get Stuart Hunt in from the
- 11:26Speaker 2: Saints sometime in February and that he can bring us
- 11:30Speaker 2: up to date. There's such a big club, you know,
- 11:31Speaker 2: they've grown. I'm convinced. I always say this, they are
- 11:34Speaker 2: the biggest growing club in this town. While we was
- 11:39Speaker 2: switching to a wheelchair basketball now, the Focus and Arrows
- 11:42Speaker 2: on January to twenty fifth did the double over the
- 11:44Speaker 2: Surrey eighty nine ers. Their first encounter was very close.
- 11:48Speaker 2: The Arrows winning thirty six points to thirty three, and
- 11:51Speaker 2: the next game a home saw them win forty nine
- 11:53Speaker 2: points to thirty seven. This puts the Arrows at second
- 11:56Speaker 2: in the table. Their next game is on Saturday the
- 11:58Speaker 2: fifteenth to fair But Home, which is currently the Folks
- 12:01Speaker 2: to Academy.
- 12:02Speaker 1: They play there.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Now there's a nine to thirty start and that is
- 12:05Speaker 2: against London Titans. London Titans they're called now the Wheelchair Basketball.
- 12:13Speaker 1: There's a very I've said this before. It's not a
- 12:15Speaker 1: big league.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I think seven or eight teams in it, but they
- 12:17Speaker 2: travel miles so and I'm determined to get somebody from
- 12:22Speaker 2: the from the club in before their season is over
- 12:26Speaker 2: because they're doing so well this year and I really
- 12:28Speaker 2: find like to find out a little.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Bit more about them.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Okay, switching up to well two thousand and six. Now
- 12:34Speaker 2: this is Sandy Tom and I wish I was a
- 12:36Speaker 2: punk rocker with flowers in my hair.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers
- 12:43Speaker 4: in my hair in seventy seven and sixty nine in
- 12:49Speaker 4: Revolutions in there, I was born too late into a
- 12:55Speaker 4: world that doesn't care. Oh I was was a punk
- 13:00Speaker 4: rocker with flowers in my head? Was a punk rocker
- 13:10Speaker 4: with flowers.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Said, it's on there she wishes she was a punk
- 13:17Speaker 2: rocker with flowers in her hair. Well, from what I
- 13:20Speaker 2: can remember, the punk rockers, that was the last thing
- 13:22Speaker 2: I had in their hair. It was more like pins
- 13:24Speaker 2: through the nose, you know, studs everywhere especially I just
- 13:29Speaker 2: think a Vivian and forgotten what's called now, but the
- 13:32Speaker 2: young ones. That's it as what sums up the punk
- 13:36Speaker 2: rockers anyway. Okay, now I've got to admit that I
- 13:38Speaker 2: do like this next song, and I might get a
- 13:40Speaker 2: bit of stick for this, but this is McFly and obviously.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Recently been.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Hopelessly reach I fly there. Obviously you know I will
- 14:14Speaker 1: own up.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I do like that film, and I was so impressed
- 14:17Speaker 2: one morning, it's quite a few years ago, just randomly
- 14:20Speaker 2: watching Morning Breakfast and they were on the bench there
- 14:24Speaker 2: on the couch, just being interviewed, and the next thing
- 14:27Speaker 2: you know, we just picked up their guitars acoustically sung
- 14:31Speaker 2: that song.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I was really impressed. Very good.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Okay, so I'm moving on a bit of running news
- 14:36Speaker 2: now that I've been involved with, which is where I've
- 14:38Speaker 2: been losing my voice.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I do every weekend.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Now I lose my voice, get on the mic shan
- 14:44Speaker 2: of hundreds and hundreds of runners as they come in.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Back on Sunday, January twenty sixth I was on the
- 14:50Speaker 2: mic at the Invictor East Kent AC's Canterbury ten mile
- 14:52Speaker 2: road race where one two hundred and fifty three runners
- 14:56Speaker 2: cross the finish line.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Now this is really a popular it's early on in
- 15:01Speaker 1: the year.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's a great training test for those taking part in
- 15:04Speaker 2: a spring marathon. South Kent Harriers had fifteen runners taking part.
- 15:08Speaker 2: First male home for the club was Craig Hoveman. I
- 15:11Speaker 2: tell you what, he's running really well this year, and
- 15:13Speaker 2: that was in a time of one hour forteen minutes
- 15:15Speaker 2: nineteen seconds. And the first female for the club was
- 15:18Speaker 2: Marie Watson. She always seems to run well. Actually one
- 15:21Speaker 2: hour eighteen and seven seconds. Folks and Running an Athletic
- 15:25Speaker 2: club had thirty four runners out there, gaining nine pbs.
- 15:30Speaker 1: First home for the.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Club was Dan Radcliffe and he was ninth overall in
- 15:33Speaker 2: the time of fifty six minutes thirty one seconds.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Very impressive Dan.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And first lady home for the club was Amanda Gouring
- 15:40Speaker 2: in one hour seven minutes forty seven seconds. Now, this
- 15:45Speaker 2: race is a really busy one in every sense of
- 15:47Speaker 2: the word. Getting there early for me is really important
- 15:51Speaker 2: because it's one of those races, you know, where the
- 15:53Speaker 2: star and the finish are in two different places and
- 15:56Speaker 2: they are about three hundred meters apart, which means saying
- 16:00Speaker 2: one PA system at the start line and moving it
- 16:03Speaker 2: all up to the finish line before the runners come home. Well,
- 16:06Speaker 2: in this case I had fifty one minutes and ten
- 16:09Speaker 2: seconds as the winner. Cole Gibbons's formerly in Victory's Kent
- 16:13Speaker 2: but he's now running for Tunbridge AC He crossed the
- 16:15Speaker 2: line first. The first female was Rebecca Weston, as she
- 16:20Speaker 2: was actually also from the home club in Victory's Kent.
- 16:23Speaker 2: She finished in fifty seven minutes and seventeen seconds. Race
- 16:27Speaker 2: director Glenn Moseley was really pleased with the race and
- 16:29Speaker 2: how it all went. It was a buzzy Everyone was
- 16:32Speaker 2: really buzzy, you know. It was really good atmosphere just
- 16:35Speaker 2: from start to finish. And special mentions must go to
- 16:38Speaker 2: his colleague Nicky Old, who was doing a fantastic job
- 16:41Speaker 2: on one leg. She's just recently had a knee up
- 16:44Speaker 2: and she was doing the job in the sports hall,
- 16:47Speaker 2: dealing along with her team. Of course she was dealing
- 16:50Speaker 2: with registration and number pickups.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Now are sure there are.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Many many more individual great stories to come out of
- 16:56Speaker 2: this race and I've honestly just scratched the surface on
- 16:59Speaker 2: name dropping. So well done to everybody in Victory's Kent
- 17:02Speaker 2: and to all the runners at two parts well. Last
- 17:05Speaker 2: Sunday I was the MIC at the Bedgbury Park for
- 17:08Speaker 2: a five and ten miler. Once again an early start,
- 17:11Speaker 2: but hurrah the start and finish were in the same place.
- 17:15Speaker 2: It was a crisp and frosty morning, I can tell you,
- 17:17Speaker 2: but this was a trial run through a hilly forest.
- 17:20Speaker 2: We have two hundred and sixty three runners doing the
- 17:22Speaker 2: ten mile, one hundred and sixty three runners doing the
- 17:25Speaker 2: five mile plus twenty eight in the junior race. There
- 17:29Speaker 2: was a total of four hundred and fifty four runners,
- 17:32Speaker 2: once again a great atmosphere. Not too many local runners
- 17:35Speaker 2: at this one, as is an early start and a
- 17:37Speaker 2: long drive, but I did see runners from the Dover
- 17:39Speaker 2: Road runners a deal try back to runners Hive A
- 17:42Speaker 2: blister sisters from Hive, the Ashford clubs as Ashford A
- 17:45Speaker 2: see Ashford tri Club Ashford Striders, but mainly clubs from
- 17:49Speaker 2: North Kent. However, John Eaton from Folks and Running Club
- 17:53Speaker 2: was first home in the five miler in a time
- 17:57Speaker 2: of thirty one minutes and ten seconds, and it was
- 18:00Speaker 2: a nice and a pleasant surprise to see all this
- 18:02Speaker 2: Hoskins from Folkston in the ten miler. Okay, so time
- 18:06Speaker 2: for well we've been the girls allowed coming up now,
- 18:09Speaker 2: so sit back and enjoy this one. Folkstone's local radio
- 18:13Speaker 2: station one oh five point nine point nine Radio Folkstone
- 18:29Speaker 2: tells all out there from two thousand and six something
- 18:32Speaker 2: kind of Okay, hockey time now and this is always
- 18:37Speaker 2: a busy time because they have got thirteen teams down
- 18:40Speaker 2: at the three Hills there. So results some of the
- 18:43Speaker 2: results from last weekend. Well, the first team go with
- 18:47Speaker 2: the men's first the men's first team, but they were
- 18:48Speaker 2: a bit worried. I had a message from one of
- 18:52Speaker 2: the first teamers and Joe, and he told me that
- 18:56Speaker 2: they were really short of players and a bit worried
- 18:58Speaker 2: because they were playing Hulcombe.
- 19:00Speaker 1: But they beat them three two.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Josh Cliff got two goals and Josh Bonzio got the
- 19:04Speaker 2: other one. And these second eleven they unfortunately lost four
- 19:09Speaker 2: to one to gore Court Lorc and Doyle getting the
- 19:11Speaker 2: single goal. Thirteen beat new Beckahemian's three, Neil Jack Hagar,
- 19:16Speaker 2: Sam Ireland, the former guests of the show and Nick
- 19:18Speaker 2: Ward getting the goals. The men's fourth team they beat
- 19:22Speaker 2: Cliftonville five to three, Alex Wizzard getting two, Harry Rowe
- 19:26Speaker 2: you know that name on the show, and Charlie Pepper.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Alex got two, Harry got two and Charlie got one.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Men's fifteen they drew one all with seven oaks, said Jawarski.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Getting the goal.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Unfortunately, the men's sixteen got a bit of a hammer
- 19:44Speaker 2: in six to two against Gravesham and welcome Finn Letley
- 19:47Speaker 2: and Paul Andrews got the goals though we're do unto
- 19:49Speaker 2: them and Ky Sports well the men's seventh team well
- 19:53Speaker 2: to decil for the report, and Amy Bumstead will agree
- 19:57Speaker 2: with me that the men's at seventh t secretary if
- 20:01Speaker 2: you like, for want of abettle would does have a
- 20:03Speaker 2: bit of fun when sending in his reports. But basically
- 20:06Speaker 2: they won six nil and Matt Carter got to, John
- 20:10Speaker 2: Gameian got to and Matt Goodwin got too. Team well
- 20:14Speaker 2: they had what they call a walkover win, so which
- 20:17Speaker 2: normally assumes the opposition can't get a team out.
- 20:20Speaker 1: That was a five nil win over the Old Williamsonians.
- 20:24Speaker 2: The Ladies had a tough game they lost three one
- 20:26Speaker 2: two Horsham and Nicky Ball getting the goal. The Ladies
- 20:30Speaker 2: second team were they even worse. They lost four to
- 20:33Speaker 2: one against black Eath and a former guest to the show,
- 20:37Speaker 2: Adrian Rowe flying the flag.
- 20:38Speaker 1: She got the goal.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Ladies thirteen they drew one all with BBHC Phoebe Norman
- 20:43Speaker 2: scorer in there. Deal the Ladies fourth team drew nil
- 20:46Speaker 2: nil with Deal and the Ladies fifteen they beat Tunbridge
- 20:51Speaker 2: Wells one nil with the goal coming from Christina grub Boska.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I'm sure I've got that wrong, but so we're just
- 21:00Speaker 2: through some fixtures now. The Men's First and the Ladies
- 21:03Speaker 2: First have both got really tough games. Now. The Men's
- 21:07Speaker 2: First are top of the table at the moment, but
- 21:09Speaker 2: they go away to Eastbourne on Saturday, who are second
- 21:13Speaker 2: in the table, and there's only two points separating these
- 21:16Speaker 2: two teams, so that is going to be they get
- 21:18Speaker 2: a result there and Focuston can make that gap even bigger.
- 21:22Speaker 2: There's lots of games going on on the Three Hills.
- 21:25Speaker 2: We've got the Seconds of playing Cliftonville. We've got the
- 21:29Speaker 2: third playing god Court, The Force take on gillinghaman Courian's,
- 21:32Speaker 2: the fifth take New Beckerhemians, sixteen take on the Highwaymen
- 21:37Speaker 2: of Blackheath, the seventh teen take on the Sitting Bourn
- 21:41Speaker 2: and the eighth team take on the Cliftonville Development. And
- 21:44Speaker 2: as I was saying about the ladies, they've got a
- 21:47Speaker 2: tough game on three Hils Pitch one at two o'clock
- 21:51Speaker 2: they've got to play Guildford, who are top of the
- 21:53Speaker 2: table currently are tenth out of twelve. The Lady seconds
- 21:58Speaker 2: are way to seven Oaks Acorns, the Ladies' thirds are
- 22:02Speaker 2: at home to gold Court, the Ladies fourthteen are at
- 22:05Speaker 2: home to Dartford, and the Ladies fifteen are also at
- 22:09Speaker 2: home to k Sports. So get yourselves down to the
- 22:11Speaker 2: three Heels, treat yourself, go down there and if you've
- 22:14Speaker 2: never been down there, it's been open ten years. If
- 22:16Speaker 2: you've never been down there, get down there and have
- 22:18Speaker 2: a look and have a beer and Watson Hockey. It
- 22:21Speaker 2: really is a great exciting atmosphere. It's back to Bank hockey. Okay,
- 22:25Speaker 2: so we're going to move on to nineteen ninety. Now.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I do some good songs on his playlist today. I
- 22:30Speaker 1: like this one.
- 22:30Speaker 2: This is Seal and Crazy Rags. We're just going to
- 23:01Speaker 2: fade the IRIM down a little bit there because I've
- 23:05Speaker 2: just got another little bit of sport older squeeze in.
- 23:10Speaker 2: This is a bit of late local football US actually
- 23:12Speaker 2: is just in this morning. Well I only picked you
- 23:14Speaker 2: up this morning. Now. The game that was postponing between
- 23:17Speaker 2: New Romney and Metro Gas as the Kent Intermediate Challenge
- 23:20Speaker 2: Shield semi final has been rescheduled for Sunday, the fifteenth
- 23:24Speaker 2: of February at one thirty, once again at the Alkaline Stadium. Anyway,
- 23:29Speaker 2: during the week I was listening to the live to
- 23:33Speaker 2: the f A Trophy and the fa VAS draws. That
- 23:36Speaker 2: was the quarter final draw as we had three Kennish
- 23:39Speaker 2: teams in it.
- 23:40Speaker 1: In the Trophy.
- 23:41Speaker 2: After Sittingbourne's epic epic win at South Ends, you know
- 23:45Speaker 2: that was awesome. Right in the last froze of the game,
- 23:49Speaker 2: they were handed a home tie against another National League side,
- 23:52Speaker 2: Aldershot in the fa VAS which the ball also had
- 23:56Speaker 2: a home draw. It's the furthest they've ever got in
- 23:58Speaker 2: the VAS and they've got a home draw against the
- 24:00Speaker 2: team called witch Church Allport. Now I did a little
- 24:03Speaker 2: bit of googling and they've got to travel two hundred
- 24:06Speaker 2: and thirty three miles from Shropshire, very close to Chester
- 24:09Speaker 2: and they are currently seventh in their Middlan League Premier Division.
- 24:13Speaker 2: And finally aris in Belvedere. Okay, so it's not really
- 24:16Speaker 2: down here, but they are a kendish team. They're up
- 24:18Speaker 2: in North Kendea, Bexley, and they've got to travel away
- 24:21Speaker 2: to Heartbury University, which will mean for them one hundred
- 24:25Speaker 2: and sixty mile trip as three hours on the coach,
- 24:28Speaker 2: and they've got to go just past Gloucester and they
- 24:31Speaker 2: have got a tough game on their hands because on
- 24:33Speaker 2: paper Heartbury are top of their Hellenic Premier League. These
- 24:37Speaker 2: games will take place to be confirmed on Saturday, the
- 24:41Speaker 2: first of March, so listen out for those we'll be
- 24:45Speaker 2: talking about those. I'm sure, okay, I'm just going to
- 24:47Speaker 2: try and squeeze this one then, because this is shell
- 24:50Speaker 2: Crow and it just admids me with somen coming out
- 24:53Speaker 2: now and then as it does, of a bit of
- 24:55Speaker 2: a summary type of Solm.
- 24:56Speaker 1: So sit back and enjoy this one.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Say no disco you, this is La.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Okay, we're going to fade the shell Crow down just
- 25:26Speaker 2: a little bit because that's it from me. Now. I
- 25:29Speaker 2: haven't had any guests in lately, but they're like us is.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Aren't they. Next week I've got three guests in.
- 25:34Speaker 2: They are the Atlantic Angels who recently returned from competing
- 25:38Speaker 2: in the British Indoor Rowing Championships and one of them
- 25:42Speaker 2: come home with a podium finished. So how good is that?
- 25:44Speaker 2: So check it out. Make sure you tune in next week.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I'll see you all again on the Eighties Show on
- 25:50Speaker 2: Saturday and we'll be talking about the f A Trophy
- 25:53Speaker 2: and the Favars, So don't go away
- 25:57Speaker 1: Online
