- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on relatables.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Wait, hold up, it's a warning.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It's a warning. Oh yeah, ready, Eris has just made
- 0:09Speaker 1: a comment to Nesta. Watch it was my gester. Yeah,
- 0:21Speaker 1: it hurts. It's hardly laughing to it's hard to get out.
- 0:29Speaker 3: What relatable?
- 0:42Speaker 1: Okay, you gotta find one to start today's episode. I
- 0:44Speaker 1: love fine ones. I found this on Instagram and it
- 0:47Speaker 1: was titled red flags we ignore In fictional men, if
- 0:49Speaker 1: the female main character went to therapy, Oh, a bit
- 0:53Speaker 1: of a mouthful. Okay, so therapist asked, So he broke
- 0:57Speaker 1: into your house and the but he's six four valid though,
- 1:03Speaker 1: these are our reasonings. So he killed someone for you.
- 1:09Speaker 1: His love language is acts of service. He'll do anything
- 1:12Speaker 1: for me. You moved into his place after three days
- 1:19Speaker 1: when you know, you know, you know, baby, So let
- 1:24Speaker 1: me get this straight. He growled at another man for
- 1:27Speaker 1: talking to you, and then their response is just sexy
- 1:31Speaker 1: with love eyes. He said he would burn the world
- 1:35Speaker 1: for you. Got to love a man with ambition.
- 1:39Speaker 4: To be fair, unrealistic love. Yeah, sometimes would be good.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. The word growl is used far
- 1:53Speaker 1: too often in romance novels, and I just think that
- 2:00Speaker 1: a growl his hands down the most cringey thing I
- 2:05Speaker 1: can think. I've just done freek would you say I
- 2:09Speaker 1: feel like? Okay? You are the male main character in
- 2:17Speaker 1: a romance fantasy novel. You're a thousand years old and
- 2:21Speaker 1: you're like in the top five strongest men in this world, baby,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and another man has just talked to your soon to
- 2:29Speaker 1: be bride, putting me on the spot. Your dog.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I asked you to grow but I'll give you mine
- 2:37Speaker 2: after you give me yours.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So it's like a growl. I'll show your mind if
- 2:40Speaker 1: you show me yours. Okay, So okay, remember, get in
- 2:44Speaker 1: the mind, stay like think of it's deep. Let's pretend
- 2:47Speaker 1: it's like it's deep. Let's pretend that Eris is. Let
- 2:53Speaker 1: me go again again, let me go No, that was
- 3:00Speaker 1: from So it's not like the top of your throat.
- 3:02Speaker 1: You're gonna get it from like you, it's gotta be
- 3:04Speaker 1: from you. Gotta say with your chest, don't say anything like.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Pretend Eris has just made a like snidy comment at
- 3:13Speaker 1: Nesta and you're Cassie and that's what that's the mindset. Yeah,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you got you go. I've been doing all I can't try.
- 3:19Speaker 1: This is I'm thinking I'm gonna give him a warning
- 3:21Speaker 1: knowing you, but you have been practicing before now, ge man,
- 3:27Speaker 1: I feel like it's so over pronounced.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Wait, hold up, it's a warning.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's a warning. Oh yeah, ready, Ris has just made
- 3:38Speaker 1: a comment to Nesta.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Watch it was good.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Es. Yeah, it hurts. It's hardly laughing to it. What
- 3:55Speaker 1: it's hard to get out? What? I couldn't go there?
- 4:02Speaker 1: I couldn't. It was stuck at the top of my throat.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I couldn't get in there. You got all the ground
- 4:06Speaker 1: out before you even watch it. You can hear losing breath.
- 4:13Speaker 1: The Rolatas podcast. It's hosted by myself, Jake Craig Aka
- 4:18Speaker 1: and my partner and crime mister Odie.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Like, Okayamy, you were practicing a oh this is unfair.
- 4:32Speaker 1: And everyone listening.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Ah.
- 4:33Speaker 1: The baddies bad to the bone origin of you guys
- 4:40Speaker 1: being called the baddies. We've said this before, but we
- 4:43Speaker 1: better repeat it just in case there's any new baddies here.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Somebody just either we I think we had someone sign
- 4:50Speaker 1: off a phone call or sign off a video. Yeah,
- 4:54Speaker 1: just with like stay Bad. And then we started signing
- 4:56Speaker 1: the episodes off of Stay Bad. And then we were like, oh,
- 4:58Speaker 1: everyone's going name for there it's members, Like what are
- 5:00Speaker 1: we going to name out? And then baddies just like
- 5:02Speaker 1: kind of was born from that. Yeah, and it's stuck.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Certainly I was stuck like glue. But today we have
- 5:08Speaker 1: a big decision to make we.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Do Actually, this might be no, not m This is
- 5:15Speaker 4: the biggest decision we have ever had to make on
- 5:17Speaker 4: the podcast.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And honestly, actually like it could be a podcast ending decision.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I know, Jake, this is serious. We need to get
- 5:25Speaker 1: serious here. So at the date we are recording, this
- 5:29Speaker 1: is the twenty ninth of June. June. The twenty second
- 5:33Speaker 1: of June was the four year anniversary of the podcast.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Four years of Relatables. Woo we missed it anyway, Big
- 5:42Speaker 1: congratulations to everyone if you've been here from day one.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, baby.
- 5:47Speaker 1: And so when we first started the podcast, Otie he
- 5:51Speaker 1: came to me and said, like, you know, everyone's out
- 5:53Speaker 1: here doing university degrees. You know they do four years
- 5:58Speaker 1: unique kind of minimum four years, yep. And then sometimes
- 6:02Speaker 1: they decide at the end of it like I got
- 6:04Speaker 1: my degree, but I don't want to do this so
- 6:07Speaker 1: or sometimes I do what they want to do it.
- 6:09Speaker 1: We said we'll give the podcast four years and if
- 6:12Speaker 1: it's doing well, we'll keep doing it. But if it's
- 6:16Speaker 1: not working out, then we'll cut our losses. And you know,
- 6:18Speaker 1: say good experience, great experience, great experience. So we've got
- 6:22Speaker 1: to make a decision whether or not we want to
- 6:23Speaker 1: keep the podcast going because it's the four year limit. Yeah,
- 6:26Speaker 1: this is the four year mark. This is a tough decision.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Day.
- 6:29Speaker 1: This is a very tough So has it been worth it?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Is it paying off?
- 6:38Speaker 3: Hm?
- 6:42Speaker 1: What I will say is I genuinely think if four
- 6:47Speaker 1: years ago today someone said our exact situation in four
- 6:54Speaker 1: years time, I wouldn't believe them. Agreed. But also, overall
- 7:00Speaker 1: or outside of money flexing, cole ship, the community that
- 7:05Speaker 1: we've built together and we turn up week on week,
- 7:09Speaker 1: three episodes a week for four years averagely. Yeah, true,
- 7:13Speaker 1: we can't have been in it now. I don't think
- 7:15Speaker 1: that could make me any happier in the world than anything.
- 7:18Speaker 1: It's an interesting one to think about. Same. I'm very
- 7:21Speaker 1: appreciative of it.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm very appreciative of it too. But Jake, I
- 7:24Speaker 4: think I've got the answer.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we ain't fucking leaving. Give us your best Jordans,
- 7:32Speaker 1: all the baddies, give us your best Jordan bell Ford.
- 7:35Speaker 1: We ain't fucking leaving. Oh oh oh oh oh, we
- 7:44Speaker 1: can't do that. He's fucking no. We can't promote that. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't worry. I think we are. We'll stick around.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I think we will stick around. Any any changes that
- 7:56Speaker 1: you reckon will happen in the podcast. Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 4: The next big change is kids. Yeah, we spoke about
- 8:03Speaker 4: that a lot on Patreon. Yep, high Lords close to
- 8:06Speaker 4: them on and high Lords Poe will have children. I
- 8:09Speaker 4: think that would be the We have other stuff moving,
- 8:11Speaker 4: maybe buying houses, blah blah blah blah blah. But I
- 8:13Speaker 4: don't think that will actually affect because we have to
- 8:15Speaker 4: make money. But kids, I think will be the next
- 8:18Speaker 4: fundamental change where we have to actually change our workflow
- 8:21Speaker 4: of the podcast a lot.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, true. How is that gonna work? Like? It'll
- 8:27Speaker 1: work well, I think, I think. Yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I've often thought too, like we're in a very privileged
- 8:31Speaker 4: position where we can pick our hours and when we
- 8:33Speaker 4: want to work, we can do it whenever we want,
- 8:35Speaker 4: we do the.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Work, but it just works around our lives.
- 8:38Speaker 4: But it's such a must be nice but the people
- 8:40Speaker 4: who work for people and then have to have children
- 8:45Speaker 4: go back to work and then deal with that shit.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Like because imagine one day you have kids first and
- 8:50Speaker 4: you fuck, I had the worst night sleep, body, Like
- 8:52Speaker 4: I'm running off two hours sleep.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I don't want to record. Yeah, oh yeah, chill. Yeah,
- 8:56Speaker 1: but like if you had a boss, you shouldn't say that, true, Yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 1: Like you get it. You can't just text me the
- 9:01Speaker 1: morning like I'm off two hours sleep, Like I'm just
- 9:03Speaker 1: I can't bother to work.
- 9:06Speaker 4: We're in a very privileged position there, Yeah, yeah, very privileged.
- 9:10Speaker 4: But yeah I think that also, like there's a big
- 9:13Speaker 4: shift at the moment as well between like we took
- 9:17Speaker 4: a risk to get here in a sense it didn't
- 9:20Speaker 4: feel like one of the time, but we went against
- 9:22Speaker 4: the norm and did something that on paper looked stupid
- 9:27Speaker 4: and unrealistic.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Yeah, the risk that I would say so like financial financially,
- 9:34Speaker 1: sorry I don't the risk wasn't huge in a financial wise,
- 9:38Speaker 1: but socially it was a.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Risk socially and like I want to say, longevity or
- 9:44Speaker 4: stability is a better word. There was no stability behind
- 9:47Speaker 4: the podcast. But also I want to make it relatable
- 9:50Speaker 4: because that's the name. Jake came up with the name.
- 9:52Speaker 4: If you knew around here.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I think every single person listening right now has something
- 9:58Speaker 1: cool in the head that they wish they were doing. Yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and there's a reason they're not doing it. Let that
- 10:03Speaker 1: be fear, anxiety, exterior reasons like family, job, financial, and
- 10:10Speaker 1: I don't know if there was any sign in the world.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I don't think there ever will be a sign other
- 10:13Speaker 1: than you realizing that you can do it and all
- 10:17Speaker 1: you have to do is start. Yeah, everyone's the biggest
- 10:20Speaker 1: hurdle for for everything is usually from within, and sometimes
- 10:26Speaker 1: it's financial sometimes Yeah, but that's usually from within. That's
- 10:29Speaker 1: where excuses start.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:31Speaker 4: And if you within believing yourself, which from the start
- 10:34Speaker 4: we were delusional, optimistic.
- 10:37Speaker 1: You're looking at the king of excuses. Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and for some reason that many pieces of the
- 10:43Speaker 4: puzzle fell together to make this work, especially with two
- 10:46Speaker 4: people as well. Making it work is very very hard,
- 10:49Speaker 4: and we're privileged enough to have made.
- 10:52Speaker 1: It work, very very hard. Pause pause. Yeah, that's not
- 10:59Speaker 1: the only time I've been hard on this Podcastlet me say, well,
- 11:03Speaker 1: we're audio. Ever since we've been audio only, have you
- 11:06Speaker 1: ever been hard on the podcast? And hit it from me,
- 11:10Speaker 1: what's the opposite of hard talking to you? Well, my
- 11:17Speaker 1: thing's been shriveled up and fucking hiding away waiting for you.
- 11:22Speaker 1: And then he's like, oh about time now. Maybe when
- 11:27Speaker 1: when we're talking, we did the I'm glad you like
- 11:30Speaker 1: this segment, Yeah, and I called you handsome. Maybe that
- 11:33Speaker 1: turned me on a little bit. I started to think different. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 1: probably maybe a little bit. We listened to we were
- 11:42Speaker 1: in the car once he was dropping off at the
- 11:44Speaker 1: train station and we listened to an Inspired un Employed
- 11:46Speaker 1: episode and they spent the first twenty minutes, yeah, talking
- 11:50Speaker 1: about the worst place to get hard. Yeah, there's like,
- 11:55Speaker 1: we're not going there, Jake, I know you want to
- 11:57Speaker 1: go there. We're not fucking going there.
- 11:58Speaker 4: A And I'm I mean at the start, we'll relate,
- 12:02Speaker 4: and then like fifteen minutes like fuck.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, so five minutes of it, I was
- 12:06Speaker 1: kind of like, yeah, you know, every man will listen
- 12:09Speaker 1: to this and think, yeah, you know, everyone's trying to
- 12:11Speaker 1: put their hands in their pockets to hide a bone,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and yeah, blah blah blah, like it is what it is.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But after twenty minutes, yeah, like I was thinking yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 1: these guys need to move on.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Oh yeah, hundred percent. And I guess actually that's one
- 12:25Speaker 4: of the perks of being a woman. When you want
- 12:28Speaker 4: turned on, no one knows, so true, Like, I guess
- 12:33Speaker 4: that's a superpower because when you're reading these books on
- 12:35Speaker 4: the beach or listening with his headphones.
- 12:37Speaker 1: On again a bit like yeah, yeah, there's no tell
- 12:42Speaker 1: tale physical sign that a woman is turned on. Nah,
- 12:46Speaker 1: not really. And I feel like that's kind of like
- 12:48Speaker 1: sexy because when we're reading these books too, like I
- 12:50Speaker 1: feel sexy and then I'm gonna litle turned on. I'm
- 12:52Speaker 1: going to be a chubb. But when a girl's doing it,
- 12:54Speaker 1: she can just fucking hide anything. That's hilarious. All right, Audio,
- 13:07Speaker 1: I got anig question for you this week, and it
- 13:09Speaker 1: is what was the straw that broke the Camel's back?
- 13:13Speaker 1: And the category is life okay and just for other
- 13:18Speaker 1: people's sake, not my own? What does that mean? It
- 13:23Speaker 1: means have you ever heard, like you've never heard someone
- 13:27Speaker 1: be like, you know, this happened and that was my
- 13:29Speaker 1: last straw? I said other people, that was my last straw?
- 13:38Speaker 1: Is derived from the straw that broke the camel's back. Yeah,
- 13:42Speaker 1: of course, of getting an email to do something that's
- 13:48Speaker 1: part of my job description. Oh that pisses me off.
- 13:50Speaker 1: A pisses me off. How about just getting an email
- 13:54Speaker 1: in general? You wouldn't know you have notifications on on
- 14:00Speaker 1: one of the emails on Gmail. I do, but on houtlook,
- 14:03Speaker 1: I don't. We don't get fucking email on Gmail.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Exactly why I have outlook off?
- 14:09Speaker 1: It's on my computer? Yeah, she probably not even like
- 14:14Speaker 1: got it up on a bar on a tap? What
- 14:17Speaker 1: was the straw that break the camels back? He served
- 14:20Speaker 1: me the bad looking piece of chicken? I ended it
- 14:23Speaker 1: the next day? Or that I actually is that toxic?
- 14:26Speaker 1: I picked a better looking chicken? A do you.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Really?
- 14:31Speaker 1: But I care more? She's more easy going. Okay, I'm
- 14:37Speaker 1: sure she would like that better look a chicken. What
- 14:40Speaker 1: do you think that your girlfriend would do if she
- 14:42Speaker 1: was serving up the plates? She would give me the
- 14:44Speaker 1: better looking chicken. But she knows, And the reason is
- 14:48Speaker 1: because she knows, you probably would take a look at
- 14:50Speaker 1: it and be like, she knows I can more, or
- 14:53Speaker 1: she loves me more. Maybe that was a good one. Actually,
- 14:58Speaker 1: shirt getting hooked on the door handle, Oh.
- 15:01Speaker 4: That's been happening to me a fair bit. When I'm
- 15:02Speaker 4: getting out of the car, my laptop bag gets stuck
- 15:05Speaker 4: on my handbrake.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And then I like fucking choked back in. Also, for
- 15:12Speaker 1: some reason, nothing pisses me off more than a little,
- 15:17Speaker 1: very minor inconvenience. For some reason, lately, I've been doing
- 15:21Speaker 1: a lot of getting out of my car and then
- 15:23Speaker 1: bending back into get something, And as I go out,
- 15:25Speaker 1: I hit the back of my head on the ceiling
- 15:27Speaker 1: of my car. Doesn't hurt nothing, but the slighting convenience
- 15:30Speaker 1: of my head bobbing back makes me want to fucking
- 15:33Speaker 1: slam my door so hard the window breaks. Oh. I
- 15:35Speaker 1: couldn't agree more. I've ever experienced more rage in my life.
- 15:38Speaker 1: For some reason, I got out of the planet to
- 15:40Speaker 1: that and I clipped the top of my head. Did you?
- 15:42Speaker 1: And people? I was more embarrassed and people saw it,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but I was like, no, it's a flap. I was like,
- 15:47Speaker 1: fuck my life, it's a flake. Sit You're tall enough.
- 15:49Speaker 1: But I felt like an idiot. I've never I've never
- 15:51Speaker 1: hit my head. I was on the weird.
- 15:52Speaker 4: I was on like a plane for the two thousands.
- 15:54Speaker 4: Today was the oldest plane I've been in ages. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 4: that's why I was shorter. I think, oh no, it's
- 16:00Speaker 4: because I'm massive love. It was a straw that broke
- 16:05Speaker 4: the camel's back. In one week, I got a flat tire,
- 16:09Speaker 4: front doorknob fell off, spilt coffee in my car, and
- 16:15Speaker 4: my shower door exploded. When it rains, it pours a Yeah.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I feel like that is like just a life experience.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Whenever something bad happens, and I think, if I have
- 16:25Speaker 1: like multiple bad things happen, and I'm like, okay, bad
- 16:27Speaker 1: things happen in threes, a fourth thing always.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Has to Yeah, it's a universal life experience that like
- 16:33Speaker 4: everything happens at once. Like it's the same with just
- 16:35Speaker 4: like car regio and then you some reason you need
- 16:37Speaker 4: a service. And then in that service your timing belt's gone.
- 16:40Speaker 4: You're like, just fucking take all my money.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Sell my car. Yeah, like I didn't want to. How
- 16:44Speaker 1: about to keep the vehicle?
- 16:46Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 16:47Speaker 1: I don't need it anyway. I broke my toe and
- 16:51Speaker 1: it broke my relationship. How does that work? Did you
- 16:55Speaker 1: like sucking on your toes or something? If that was
- 16:58Speaker 1: the reason, I can't see the connection. Otherwise, doing my
- 17:03Speaker 1: own tax return for the first time, I've never done it.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Fuck that painting out, legit. I've never done my own.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I've never done my own. I don't think I've ever
- 17:10Speaker 1: done my own. I've always been too scared. I always
- 17:12Speaker 1: have gone to an accountant. Yeah, I don't even know
- 17:14Speaker 1: what he does. I swear ourcountain is not even that expensive. No,
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't think he is. Yeah it's good. I feel like, yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 1: we do not. And I always call him. Just go
- 17:21Speaker 1: to an account No, chat to him with a life
- 17:27Speaker 1: category life answer life, Yeah, your life has broken. Life
- 17:32Speaker 1: happened broken to me. I'm trying to plug your charge
- 17:35Speaker 1: of block into a wall in the dark and missing
- 17:37Speaker 1: twenty three times. I swear that those little.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Holes move a I agree in the dark or even
- 17:46Speaker 4: just like if you can't just quite reach it and
- 17:50Speaker 4: then you're just going and it pisses me off.
- 17:53Speaker 1: What's something that's I I for some reason, I remember
- 17:57Speaker 1: I was in here, I was in this studio and
- 18:00Speaker 1: I was sitting at my desk and for some reason,
- 18:02Speaker 1: remember I don't remember what caused it, but I remember
- 18:04Speaker 1: being like, oh, you fucking fuck Like I had a
- 18:07Speaker 1: reaction to something and I was.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Like, I feel like I've been getting a few more
- 18:10Speaker 4: of those fucking fuck moments for some reason, it's coming
- 18:14Speaker 4: of age, always stressed a bit.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Maybe maybe that is stress. It could be stress. It
- 18:20Speaker 1: also could be that whole thing of us not knowing
- 18:24Speaker 1: how to express the correct emotion. Yes, you know what
- 18:29Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know what he's saying, talking
- 18:35Speaker 4: about not being able to express the right emotions.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I don't want to justify it. Is there ever a
- 18:41Speaker 1: time and a place where you should keep your emotions
- 18:43Speaker 1: to yourself? Good question. M h Yeah, I think that
- 18:53Speaker 1: you should probably keep your emotions to your smell, to
- 18:56Speaker 1: your smell, you smell, your laugh. Yeah, if you're dealing
- 19:03Speaker 1: with someone that you know is like notoriously maybe stubborn,
- 19:08Speaker 1: because there's a good chance your emotions are going to
- 19:10Speaker 1: get like shut down. Yeah, no, that makes sense, because
- 19:15Speaker 1: thinking about being a man, the only times.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I've ever had those fucking fuck moments are when I've
- 19:21Speaker 4: bottled stuff up so much that the tiniest little inconvenience
- 19:26Speaker 4: just breaks the camels back and puts me over the
- 19:29Speaker 4: edge and then I just explode. And exploding for me
- 19:31Speaker 4: is not fucking like exploring. For some men is like
- 19:33Speaker 4: fucking punch and shit true.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Punching other people. Yeah, exploding for me is like
- 19:37Speaker 1: a couple of sweat words. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah no, same,
- 19:40Speaker 1: same same.
- 19:40Speaker 4: I'm like, I just give them a good old but
- 19:43Speaker 4: it's still the same row like movement to get there.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Ever, actually, okay, I won't I won't want to lie.
- 19:51Speaker 1: There has been a few times where so frustration for
- 19:56Speaker 1: me quite often comes out of anger I find without realizing.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And one very very classic moment is, for some reason,
- 20:08Speaker 1: I hate it when simple things don't work. Like I
- 20:13Speaker 1: was maybe seventeen, and I had an iPhone that was
- 20:17Speaker 1: a couple of years old, and it was kind of
- 20:19Speaker 1: just tweaking a bit, and I remember thinking I must
- 20:22Speaker 1: have just like needed a message to send or something,
- 20:25Speaker 1: and it would always freeze or whatever. And I remember
- 20:27Speaker 1: just like putting my phone down and like slapping it
- 20:31Speaker 1: and I cracked the fuck out of a d ay.
- 20:34Speaker 1: And it didn't feel good after it, No, it doesn't.
- 20:37Speaker 4: That's actually that's actually the biggest learning lesson out all
- 20:40Speaker 4: of this is at the time it feels good, but
- 20:42Speaker 4: after it, it never feels good.
- 20:44Speaker 1: The reaction you have no never ever.
- 20:47Speaker 4: But for some reason you need to do it as
- 20:49Speaker 4: like a biological response because for some reason we don't
- 20:51Speaker 4: have the tools to talk about it previously, to not
- 20:53Speaker 4: build up to that point.
- 20:54Speaker 1: No, that's a good point. That's a good point to
- 20:58Speaker 1: This morning, Beth and I took the dog. I wasn't
- 21:01Speaker 1: going to talk about this today. I was thinking I
- 21:03Speaker 1: need to let it settle for a bit. So we
- 21:05Speaker 1: took the dogs to this like Sick Creek or whatever. Yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 1: never seen anyone there, ever, We've been there maybe four
- 21:10Speaker 1: times or like, we'll go to the dogs there and
- 21:13Speaker 1: we come we're coming out and it goes out into
- 21:15Speaker 1: like a big maybe one acre big yard and there's
- 21:18Speaker 1: like a big community center and it's free to the public,
- 21:21Speaker 1: like you're like, everyone's allowed to go there, right, And
- 21:23Speaker 1: as we're coming out, a dog runs in off lead
- 21:25Speaker 1: and we thought, oh, there must be someone out there
- 21:27Speaker 1: with their dog and it was friendly, and we put
- 21:30Speaker 1: our dogs on lead, right because in on the Gold Coast,
- 21:35Speaker 1: if there's an area that's labeled off lead, you're allowed
- 21:38Speaker 1: to have your dogs off lead as long as you
- 21:41Speaker 1: have control of them. And so we always just put
- 21:44Speaker 1: our dogs on lead because dogs like to run up
- 21:46Speaker 1: and say how to other dogs? Or whatever. So we
- 21:49Speaker 1: come out and we can't. We're coming out of like
- 21:50Speaker 1: the entry to go down to the creek, right and
- 21:53Speaker 1: I poke them out out and I'm like, holy fuck, Beth,
- 21:54Speaker 1: there's like twenty five dogs out there with one dude
- 21:58Speaker 1: of all shapes and sizes for I'm telling you, it
- 22:01Speaker 1: was the most chaotic scene I think I've ever seen.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Scary both Was he a trainer? Was they like his pet? No?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Was he was a trainer? Oh, he is a trainer.
- 22:13Speaker 1: He's making bang and so yeah. So he's got like
- 22:17Speaker 1: a couple of them on lead and then a bunch
- 22:20Speaker 1: of them off lead, and he has zero effective control
- 22:25Speaker 1: of these dogs, and so I'm kind of thinking, like shit, okay, cool. Like,
- 22:29Speaker 1: so we were a little bit scared about all the
- 22:31Speaker 1: dogs rushing us, and Henry is like he doesn't like
- 22:35Speaker 1: being rushed, Like he's not an angry dog, but if
- 22:38Speaker 1: he was to just like kind of tell one to
- 22:40Speaker 1: back off in a normal dog way, what we what
- 22:43Speaker 1: we were scared of is one dog reacting and then
- 22:46Speaker 1: they get a tussle. But then all twenty five of
- 22:48Speaker 1: those dogs just come and gang up on Henry. So
- 22:50Speaker 1: we were like kind of freaking out. We had the
- 22:51Speaker 1: dogs on the lead, and so we come out and
- 22:53Speaker 1: then we come into the open a bit and they
- 22:55Speaker 1: all just fucking running at us. The guy's calling him back, Yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 1: they are not coming back, and we're like, what the
- 23:01Speaker 1: fuck is going on? And so Darcy is getting trampled,
- 23:05Speaker 1: So I picked her up's little sausage, my little sausage dog.
- 23:08Speaker 1: And then eventually we we leave and go put out
- 23:11Speaker 1: dogs in the car, and then we're thinking like that
- 23:16Speaker 1: was so fucked up, like that was so fucked up,
- 23:19Speaker 1: Like that's not that's just so wrong, and so Beth's
- 23:23Speaker 1: kind of like, God, like do I say something? And
- 23:26Speaker 1: originally I was like, look like if he's willing to
- 23:28Speaker 1: fucking just like have that many dogs off lead, I
- 23:30Speaker 1: have a feeling he's not going to be willing to
- 23:32Speaker 1: hear what you have to say. And then she called
- 23:35Speaker 1: her boss and she spoke to her boss. Her boss
- 23:38Speaker 1: was like, yeah, that was fucked up. And she was
- 23:39Speaker 1: on the phone to her.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Boss and talking about it, and then Jack's girlfriend's bosses, yeah, dog, sorry.
- 23:44Speaker 1: My girlfriends, that's also a dog train. Yeah sorry sorry, sorry,
- 23:50Speaker 1: sorry sorry. And then the guy ends up going back.
- 23:55Speaker 1: He's got like maybe a few more dogs on lead. Now.
- 23:57Speaker 1: He puts him in his van and then there's still
- 23:59Speaker 1: like ten dogs running around. They all run up to
- 24:01Speaker 1: us at the car. He's trying to call him back.
- 24:03Speaker 1: He's trying to call him back. He eventually gets all
- 24:04Speaker 1: the dogs inside, and then he comes over and comes
- 24:07Speaker 1: over to us, and like we were waiting there and
- 24:10Speaker 1: and like we made the decision like that. Beth was
- 24:12Speaker 1: gonna be like what the hell man like that, like
- 24:14Speaker 1: that's just so not right. And he comes over to
- 24:17Speaker 1: us and he starts getting angry at us for what for.
- 24:25Speaker 1: He's like saying, you know, like you guys surprised my
- 24:30Speaker 1: dogs or whatever like, and then we were like, no,
- 24:32Speaker 1: what the hell's going on, Like you're in the wrong here,
- 24:34Speaker 1: and he's kind of like no, no, no, like you guys,
- 24:36Speaker 1: you don't understand. Like he just like kind of was
- 24:38Speaker 1: being a classic man and trying to like talk down
- 24:40Speaker 1: to like Beth and myself the whole time, and I
- 24:43Speaker 1: was really really staying quiet, and Beth was a bit
- 24:45Speaker 1: fucking like upset, and then it was I'm not gonna
- 24:50Speaker 1: lie though. Right Here's here's where I'm getting at with
- 24:52Speaker 1: this whole talk of emotions, like in the moment, like
- 24:55Speaker 1: my blood was like boiling. As this guy he went walking,
- 24:58Speaker 1: he went quiet, and I like went right, and I'm
- 25:01Speaker 1: very I'm quite calm, and I kept on just being
- 25:04Speaker 1: like but can I just was like, I was like,
- 25:05Speaker 1: I just have a question for you, though, Like do
- 25:07Speaker 1: you mind if I just ask you a question? Because
- 25:08Speaker 1: he was just defending his actions to the death Right
- 25:11Speaker 1: that's classic you and and I'm like, you can, please,
- 25:14Speaker 1: can I just ask you a question? And every time
- 25:15Speaker 1: I went to go start asking the question, he would
- 25:18Speaker 1: start cutting me off. And I wasn't like then cutting
- 25:20Speaker 1: off back at him, but I was like, fucking hell.
- 25:24Speaker 1: And so I what I wanted to ask him was
- 25:27Speaker 1: because he kept saying to us like, this is a
- 25:29Speaker 1: public space, everyone can do such a weirding Cami, So dude,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm telling you, this is hands down the weirdest thing
- 25:33Speaker 1: of every count He's so odd literally twenty five dogs anyway,
- 25:39Speaker 1: So what I wanted to ask him was like, if
- 25:41Speaker 1: this is a public space that you're saying everyone can use,
- 25:45Speaker 1: what if I was, you know, because he kept on
- 25:47Speaker 1: saying I've never seen you here before, like so you
- 25:49Speaker 1: don't get mad at me whatever, And I was like Jesus.
- 25:52Speaker 1: I was like, what if I actually had a dog
- 25:54Speaker 1: that was very, very reactive and I had him on
- 25:57Speaker 1: lead for that reason, which I'm and I'm doing the
- 25:59Speaker 1: right thing, Like I should be allowed to take my
- 26:00Speaker 1: dog out if he's super reactive and then he straight
- 26:02Speaker 1: away goes. I would not recommend that. I would not
- 26:04Speaker 1: recommend that. And I was like, I'm not done asking
- 26:08Speaker 1: my question. Like what I wanted to ask was whose
- 26:10Speaker 1: fault would it be if the dog you don't have
- 26:12Speaker 1: control of, the twenty five dogs you don't have control of,
- 26:14Speaker 1: then run up to my dog who's reactive, who's on lee,
- 26:17Speaker 1: doing the right thing, and then gets attacked by my dog,
- 26:20Speaker 1: like because you can't recall your dogs. And he just
- 26:24Speaker 1: wouldn't let me finish my question, and he just kept
- 26:25Speaker 1: on saying I wouldn't recommend it, and I was like,
- 26:27Speaker 1: holy shit, and I'm not gonna lie though right after
- 26:29Speaker 1: it all ended ended up just being like, look, agree
- 26:32Speaker 1: to disagree, we're not going to agree with it with
- 26:33Speaker 1: each other.
- 26:33Speaker 5: Ever.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I felt alive, bro I felt genuinely alive. I
- 26:40Speaker 1: was calm, and Beth was raging. We get home, She's
- 26:43Speaker 1: talking about it, and I was like, this is where
- 26:46Speaker 1: as a man. The anger came out. I was still calm,
- 26:48Speaker 1: but I was like, you know what would feel like?
- 26:50Speaker 1: You know what I think I want to do. I
- 26:52Speaker 1: think I want to camp out there until he goes
- 26:54Speaker 1: back there and I want to slash his tires. I
- 26:56Speaker 1: feel really good. And Death was like and then I
- 27:00Speaker 1: was like, Okay, maybe I want to such as times.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Maybe I'll rub dog pool over his windshy. She was like,
- 27:05Speaker 1: am And I was thinking all of those would feel
- 27:08Speaker 1: so good, but I'm obviously not going to do it.
- 27:09Speaker 1: He would know it's me no, but.
- 27:10Speaker 4: That actually it's funny, like everything aside the whole unique
- 27:14Speaker 4: situation though, Like that's actually proper, like a real life,
- 27:18Speaker 4: relatable example of what it's like to argue with a man.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Yeah, or it was the weirdest thing I've ever experienced,
- 27:24Speaker 1: hands down. I'm not gonna lie to you.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Like they're in the wrong, yep, they're doing something wrong, yep,
- 27:30Speaker 4: but they can't admit it and they can't apologize, Like.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Yeah, so he didn't apologize at all. I I couldn't.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Like the simplest thing would be, oh sorry, sorry, caught
- 27:38Speaker 4: my dogs off my dog's off guard. Really sorry, that
- 27:40Speaker 4: was a bit overwhelming, like all that any series.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I usually come here and there's no
- 27:43Speaker 1: one here. I apologize for that. And we would have
- 27:45Speaker 1: been like, yeah, cool, like just make sure you've got
- 27:47Speaker 1: control of your dogs, and then we would have left.
- 27:49Speaker 1: But yeah, so look, I was feeling very alive after that.
- 27:53Speaker 1: The adrenaline was through the roof, through the fucking roof,
- 27:57Speaker 1: but walking like going away from it. It was very
- 28:02Speaker 1: difficult to argue with someone who did not want to
- 28:04Speaker 1: hear you at all. Honestly, I think confrontation is an
- 28:09Speaker 1: under explored emotion and I suck at exploring it. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I sucker exploring it. I think I wouldn't mind exploring
- 28:15Speaker 1: it a bit more. And then the annoying thing is
- 28:17Speaker 1: after it all happened, So I didn't do much of
- 28:21Speaker 1: the talking. Him and Beth were interrupting each other a lot,
- 28:25Speaker 1: kind of just trying to be like I'm right, you're wrong,
- 28:27Speaker 1: I'm right your wrong type of thing, and I haven't
- 28:29Speaker 1: I didn't say it, like, but after that, what I
- 28:33Speaker 1: saw this thing, and it's like when you are disagreeing
- 28:36Speaker 1: with someone who is objectively actually the wrong one. So like,
- 28:39Speaker 1: in my opinion, objectively, he was in the wrong. Yeah,
- 28:42Speaker 1: Like I don't see this as an objective thing. Yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 1: apparently it's like you gotta like I didn't think about
- 28:50Speaker 1: it properly in the moment, and I wish I kind
- 28:51Speaker 1: of told Beth to do it before him. But if like,
- 28:54Speaker 1: being like very silent and calm is apparently the best
- 28:57Speaker 1: way to do it, I don't know. I don't tell
- 28:59Speaker 1: me that that's what I do, but I think it
- 29:01Speaker 1: is right as like a coping mechanism. But yeah, same,
- 29:04Speaker 1: I just I hate confrontations so much, dude. I was
- 29:07Speaker 1: just I was just standing there. I was next to Eth,
- 29:09Speaker 1: and they were they were like kind of going back
- 29:10Speaker 1: and forth at each other, and I was just like,
- 29:12Speaker 1: what am I watching right now? Yeah, because okay, sorry
- 29:15Speaker 1: to interrupt you, but okay, he's gone. At this point
- 29:19Speaker 1: in time, he had all but two of the dogs
- 29:21Speaker 1: back in the van, right, all but two.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Of them, and r a movie.
- 29:24Speaker 1: And one of the reasons he actually came up to
- 29:26Speaker 1: us because one of the dogs was just literally from
- 29:29Speaker 1: this distance from me and you to Beth barking at
- 29:31Speaker 1: us right in the car par and so that's the
- 29:34Speaker 1: only reason he came over was because he brought a
- 29:35Speaker 1: lead over and put that dog in the lead, and
- 29:37Speaker 1: then we started talking. And then there was one other
- 29:39Speaker 1: dog that had a lead on, but he didn't have
- 29:42Speaker 1: hold of it. It was running around. This thing was
- 29:44Speaker 1: running circles around us. The whole time we're talking to
- 29:46Speaker 1: this guy having an argument. He's got one dog pulling
- 29:49Speaker 1: back and forth while he's holding on the lead, and
- 29:51Speaker 1: he's got another dog and he's trying to pick up
- 29:53Speaker 1: the lead mid conversation, and the dog keeps running away,
- 29:55Speaker 1: and I was like, dude, you keep telling us you
- 29:57Speaker 1: have full control of these dogs and you we don't legit.
- 30:02Speaker 2: It was the most insane.
- 30:03Speaker 1: He goes to the Okay, last thing I want to
- 30:05Speaker 1: say is he goes, I was recalling them. We were like,
- 30:08Speaker 1: you don't have control of your dogs. You didn't recall them,
- 30:10Speaker 1: and he goes, I was recalling them. And I was like, dude,
- 30:12Speaker 1: there's a difference between recalling your dog and it coming
- 30:15Speaker 1: back and then just recalling your dog and saying that
- 30:18Speaker 1: you're recalling it, Like, yes, you recall them, but they
- 30:20Speaker 1: didn't come back. It was criss. I think you just
- 30:23Speaker 1: got to like say, have like a one liner, like, mate,
- 30:25Speaker 1: take a look at yourself and you just get in
- 30:27Speaker 1: your car and then walk away and let him think
- 30:29Speaker 1: about that. Yeah, I think like you want the last words.
- 30:34Speaker 1: What I was thinking about it, I was like driving
- 30:36Speaker 1: here actually thinking about it. It's a classic thing where
- 30:38Speaker 1: you think about what you could have said at the moment.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I think would have been what would have been a
- 30:42Speaker 1: lot funner is at the in the beginning, I knew
- 30:46Speaker 1: we couldn't reason with this guy, but we still tried to,
- 30:49Speaker 1: which was just a waste of time going in circles whatever.
- 30:52Speaker 1: So it would have been a lot funnier if I
- 30:54Speaker 1: just I just was thinking, what if I just started
- 30:56Speaker 1: saying like rage Benning is going and started being like,
- 30:58Speaker 1: so you're a fucking shit trainer, right, just starts going
- 31:00Speaker 1: Like what I would have been, like, so you're literally
- 31:02Speaker 1: telling us that you're like a ship dog trainer, like
- 31:04Speaker 1: you suck at this, because he kept saying ten years experience,
- 31:07Speaker 1: blah blah blah, and I was thinking rage baiting him
- 31:09Speaker 1: probably would have been a lot more fulfilling for me,
- 31:12Speaker 1: for sure. There was no reason can't reason with them. Actually,
- 31:15Speaker 1: here you go, if you are like having an argument
- 31:18Speaker 1: with a man, you have to resort to rage baiting.
- 31:21Speaker 1: If they're not going to hear your reason, you have
- 31:23Speaker 1: to result. Usually you know straight away, yeah, and then
- 31:26Speaker 1: they're going to result to your reason. We should have
- 31:27Speaker 1: known straight away when he came up to us and said, like,
- 31:30Speaker 1: you guys fucking cause that.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I was like, like, I've been shot by a gun.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, what are you talking about? Leave
- 31:40Speaker 1: me alone? Okayie, I have got some exciting news. Oh yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: well the bad is nowhere. Marcho babes that we are.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I've recently upgraded my game. I've graduated to the perfect
- 31:58Speaker 1: head ceremonial grade much of powder love that. What flavors
- 32:02Speaker 1: are there? Well, there's the original, which is perfect if
- 32:05Speaker 1: you're an og marcher lover, or if you like to
- 32:07Speaker 1: add your own flavors. I am at this level now
- 32:10Speaker 1: whoa march to baddie. And there's the strawberry and vanilla,
- 32:15Speaker 1: which already have the flavors perfectly mixed in. Well that's sick.
- 32:18Speaker 1: So you could basically be your own Barisa at home exactly.
- 32:22Speaker 1: It tastes like it came from a cafe. You've got
- 32:25Speaker 1: to try it. Bro, I want to but where can
- 32:27Speaker 1: I grab it? Same as always Cole's.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Baby, it is time for dilemmas, and if you want
- 32:32Speaker 4: to get a dilemma red, it will be pinned in
- 32:34Speaker 4: the comments. And as you all know, it's completely anonymous
- 32:37Speaker 4: because Jake and I set it up that way, even
- 32:40Speaker 4: we don't know who's sent them. No, this one's got
- 32:42Speaker 4: a title and it starts off the same as a
- 32:45Speaker 4: couple of dilemmas we've had before, but it goes to
- 32:48Speaker 4: get a little bit deeper.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Title is our sex life normal? Hi?
- 32:54Speaker 4: Boys, I'd love your honest take on sex in relationships.
- 32:58Speaker 4: My boyfriend and I have been together for five years,
- 33:01Speaker 4: both twenty four. We have such a loving relationship and
- 33:04Speaker 4: I truly see myself spending the rest of our lives together.
- 33:07Speaker 1: I want to pause there. We've got a lot of
- 33:08Speaker 1: dilemmas like that, do they Why do they say that?
- 33:12Speaker 1: But then there's a massive issue. I think that they
- 33:17Speaker 1: say that because if that wasn't there, like we would
- 33:20Speaker 1: be more inclined to say, like breakup. Because they say that.
- 33:24Speaker 1: One line is like I see myself spending the rest
- 33:26Speaker 1: of my life with him. Yeah, we get that, Like
- 33:28Speaker 1: I can have a second dilemma. They say that that's
- 33:30Speaker 1: a good point. I don't know why they say it.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Maybe they because they feel it true. However, at the start,
- 33:37Speaker 1: our sex life was amazing, fun, frequent, and exciting. But
- 33:42Speaker 1: over the past two to three years it's become almost nonexistent.
- 33:46Speaker 1: We're talking maybe six to ten times a year. The
- 33:51Speaker 1: hard part is I naturally have a higher sex drive
- 33:54Speaker 1: than him. I feel embarrassed even saying that, especially when
- 33:57Speaker 1: you hear other couples are having sex multiple times a week.
- 34:01Speaker 1: For context, my previous relationship was the complete opposite. We
- 34:04Speaker 1: were open, experimental, and I felt really confident and sexy
- 34:08Speaker 1: in this relationship. My boyfriend has a low sex drive
- 34:11Speaker 1: and doesn't even really engage with anything sexual in brackets,
- 34:15Speaker 1: no porn, etc. Oh okay, it's like the other side
- 34:18Speaker 1: of it. Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:21Speaker 4: I also struggle to initiate because he's often too tired,
- 34:24Speaker 4: but mainly because he doesn't like when I'm sexy. Early on,
- 34:30Speaker 4: he even asked me to delete bikini pictures from my Instagram,
- 34:34Speaker 4: yet for years he was liking other girls similar photos.
- 34:37Speaker 4: The double standard really got to me. I miss feeling feminine,
- 34:41Speaker 4: confident and desired. I missed dates, dressing up and that spark.
- 34:45Speaker 4: We also still live at home separately while saving for
- 34:48Speaker 4: a house, which might be a factor. So I guess
- 34:51Speaker 4: my questions are is there a normal amount of sex
- 34:54Speaker 4: in a relationship? Why would he set boundaries for me
- 34:57Speaker 4: but not follow them himself? Could this be insecurity or
- 35:01Speaker 4: something deeper? Do you think living together could actually improve things?
- 35:05Speaker 4: And from a male perspective, how often would you want
- 35:08Speaker 4: to be having sex in a relationship? Would really appreciate
- 35:11Speaker 4: your honesty? Anonymous xxx?
- 35:13Speaker 1: Okay, ask the questions again and I'll answer them in order. Okay,
- 35:17Speaker 1: from my perspective or from my I guess life experience,
- 35:20Speaker 1: is there a normal amount of sex in a relationship?
- 35:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna say no, it's different.
- 35:26Speaker 4: I agree you need to talk about it, Yeah, of course.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Second one, why would he set boundaries for me but
- 35:32Speaker 4: not further than himself?
- 35:33Speaker 1: Because he's a fuck with Like that's just hypocritical, Like
- 35:37Speaker 1: he's a hypocrite. Could this be insecurity or something deeper?
- 35:40Speaker 1: From who him or you? I think she means herself.
- 35:46Speaker 1: I don't think it's insecurity because I personally think the
- 35:49Speaker 1: feelings are feeling a valid because of his actions so
- 35:52Speaker 1: maybe I guess other options something deeper. Yeah, do you
- 35:55Speaker 1: think living together would actually improve things? No? I think
- 35:57Speaker 1: the opposite. I was going to say. In my experience,
- 36:00Speaker 1: moving in slowed down the sex like frequency.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Because I was like exciting, we want to rip itach
- 36:06Speaker 4: not that we don't want to rip each other's clothes, like,
- 36:09Speaker 4: but life gets in the way.
- 36:10Speaker 1: Think about this, right, Yeah, So so when Beth and
- 36:14Speaker 1: I moved in together, that like being together all the time.
- 36:19Speaker 1: So how do I explain this when you're dating and okay,
- 36:23Speaker 1: when you don't live together, Right, I got it. I've
- 36:25Speaker 1: got a simpler version. Okay, seeing them naked becomes more normal, Yes,
- 36:30Speaker 1: becomes way more normal. You see them naked more just normally,
- 36:34Speaker 1: then you do you're having sex. And then like if
- 36:39Speaker 1: you think about it, like this, when you're just dating
- 36:41Speaker 1: and you're just both living separately. So in bethanized relationship,
- 36:47Speaker 1: we would see each other once a week and so
- 36:51Speaker 1: you talk on the phone and like you have reach,
- 36:55Speaker 1: but you don't get to touch them, like you get
- 36:57Speaker 1: to see them on the phone, but you're going to
- 36:58Speaker 1: get touch them back things like that, So you know,
- 37:01Speaker 1: you builds up attension even if like Let's say you're
- 37:02Speaker 1: masterbating throughout the week, like it still builds up, Like
- 37:04Speaker 1: the tension builds up and you think about them because
- 37:06Speaker 1: you can't have them, and so when you see each
- 37:09Speaker 1: other you feel like you know, when you see each
- 37:12Speaker 1: other once a week, you're having sex four times a month,
- 37:14Speaker 1: maybe twice in one weekend, five six times a month
- 37:17Speaker 1: or whatever, because of the time you spend still, you
- 37:20Speaker 1: still spend the majority of time not together. Agreed, like
- 37:24Speaker 1: I'm telling you I like I don't. I don't think
- 37:28Speaker 1: I could have sex every single day, like I probably could,
- 37:30Speaker 1: but I would probably need some assistance, you know what
- 37:33Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like Allan needs some assistance. I want to
- 37:37Speaker 1: be fully transparent with the baddies right now. I spoke
- 37:43Speaker 1: to Beth the other day, and I actually brought up
- 37:47Speaker 1: our sex life because I had been overthinking how much
- 37:53Speaker 1: it had slowed down, and so when I thought about
- 37:56Speaker 1: Beth and I having sex and how frequent it was,
- 38:00Speaker 1: I never I've never been unhappy with the frequency like
- 38:03Speaker 1: I could because I really like to just hang out
- 38:06Speaker 1: with Beth, like I doesn't always have to, like I
- 38:08Speaker 1: don't always feel sexy, like I don't always want to
- 38:09Speaker 1: have sex with her, and she doesn't always want to
- 38:11Speaker 1: have sex with me, and so I was talking to
- 38:14Speaker 1: her when I brought it up. I was like, I
- 38:15Speaker 1: want to talk about sex luf, and she was like, oh, no,
- 38:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry, and I was like wait, no, wait oh.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I said to her, like, I want to just know
- 38:23Speaker 1: if we're on the same page because I am not
- 38:26Speaker 1: unhappy with it. But when I think about it and
- 38:29Speaker 1: I think about how much it has slowed down, I
- 38:32Speaker 1: think like, is it an issue? And does Beth seed
- 38:36Speaker 1: as an issue? But she's not like talking about it
- 38:38Speaker 1: because she's too scared to bring it up whatever. So
- 38:39Speaker 1: I just want to speak about her in that sense
- 38:41Speaker 1: with her, and she said no, like, I am very
- 38:45Speaker 1: happy in our relationship and I am not unhappy with
- 38:50Speaker 1: like once a month or twice a month or once
- 38:52Speaker 1: every two months type of thing. And I was like, okay,
- 38:54Speaker 1: good because I don't care about the frequency. But I
- 38:58Speaker 1: was like overthinking if the free frequency was an issue,
- 39:01Speaker 1: does that make any sense?
- 39:02Speaker 4: I guess that goes back to her first question, where
- 39:04Speaker 4: every single relationship is different.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Yeah, very different. Yeah, and so Beth and I actually
- 39:09Speaker 1: have very similar sex drives.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's the way you approached it I think
- 39:13Speaker 4: is perfect too. Yes, and I don't want to make
- 39:15Speaker 4: the baddie spiral. But I think this is a bigger
- 39:18Speaker 4: problem than you're making it. Yes, it's not, but I
- 39:21Speaker 4: also think that it's manageable problem. I don't think it's
- 39:24Speaker 4: a frequency problem.
- 39:25Speaker 1: No. No, I personally think that from what you've said,
- 39:31Speaker 1: your boyfriend just isn't making you feel very good anymore.
- 39:37Speaker 1: And for you, you think that more sex would bring
- 39:42Speaker 1: that back. Yeah, but like it's just that's just not
- 39:48Speaker 1: the case. Like right now, your boyfriend you don't feel loved.
- 39:54Speaker 1: I assume maybe love's not the right word. It feels
- 39:57Speaker 1: like he's not trying. Yeah, like you're What I'm trying
- 40:00Speaker 1: to get at is like this can be a deal
- 40:03Speaker 1: breaker for you. This can definitely be a deal breaker.
- 40:06Speaker 4: You have standards and needs and he's not meeting either
- 40:10Speaker 4: of them. I don't think you've talked to him about it,
- 40:13Speaker 4: so he might not know. Yep, there's a little bit
- 40:15Speaker 4: of being what do we call him when he's been
- 40:19Speaker 4: a hypocrite?
- 40:20Speaker 1: Is that aside? That's a different problem. I guess that's
- 40:23Speaker 1: a problem.
- 40:24Speaker 4: That's a problem, But that aside I think you need
- 40:26Speaker 4: to bring this up with him, and he needs to
- 40:28Speaker 4: make a chance because he's just not making you feel wanted.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I think you need to tell him how you feel
- 40:33Speaker 1: and give him a chance, and you'll be able to
- 40:35Speaker 1: tell a lot from how he receives this. Yeah.
- 40:39Speaker 4: Yeah, And also, like I guess there's a learning curve
- 40:42Speaker 4: there in a sense of communication, because when he does
- 40:44Speaker 4: say I'm too tired, there's the perfect moment to bring
- 40:48Speaker 4: up that's how this makes me feel. That makes me
- 40:51Speaker 4: feel unwanted. Every time I initiate something, you say I'm
- 40:55Speaker 4: too tired, I feel rejected. That doesn't make me feel sexy,
- 40:57Speaker 4: It doesn't make me feel wanted. It doesn't make me
- 40:59Speaker 4: feel like I'm the most beautiful woman on this earth. Yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 4: which is a part of your job. Yeah, and that's
- 41:05Speaker 4: the time bring it up because he's like, I've just
- 41:06Speaker 4: been hard work and shut the fuck up.
- 41:08Speaker 1: And I agree.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Yeah, And you don't want him to have sex when
- 41:10Speaker 4: he's tired, but you need to find a solution where
- 41:12Speaker 4: you both want to have sex.
- 41:14Speaker 1: And exactly get to there. It's I think that, Yeah,
- 41:18Speaker 1: people get scared to talk about these things, but you'll
- 41:22Speaker 1: be surprised how much better you'll feel after talking about it.
- 41:27Speaker 1: And then it's like you have to condat or the opposite,
- 41:30Speaker 1: Yeah too, or the opposite. It could be like you'll
- 41:32Speaker 1: either feel much better or you'll feel worse, but you'll
- 41:34Speaker 1: have an answer exactly. And that's the thing is, I
- 41:36Speaker 1: think a lot of time people are very afraid to
- 41:38Speaker 1: get potentially the answer that means we are not meant
- 41:41Speaker 1: for each other. Yeah, is there any more questions?
- 41:44Speaker 5: No?
- 41:44Speaker 1: I think we answered them more. I think that's great advice.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Fucking oath my dilemma. My sister twenty three, just bought
- 41:51Speaker 1: a house and I nineteen, they're both women, just moved
- 41:55Speaker 1: in with her. There are two or three guys who
- 41:58Speaker 1: looked at me in there, early twenties that live next door.
- 42:02Speaker 1: The other night, one yes, the other night, my sister
- 42:06Speaker 1: and I were having fuck them all the other night,
- 42:10Speaker 1: my sister and I were hanging out when I looked
- 42:12Speaker 1: out our window and I can see one of the
- 42:14Speaker 1: next door neighbors in the shower. Their window doesn't have
- 42:18Speaker 1: a shade, but it is frosted. Obviously not frosted enough. Wait,
- 42:25Speaker 1: obviously not frosted enough. Though we could clearly tell he
- 42:29Speaker 1: was in the shower and every move he made in
- 42:31Speaker 1: the shower. My sister and I have only lived in
- 42:33Speaker 1: the place for a couple of weeks, and I've briefly
- 42:36Speaker 1: said hi to one of the neighbors. I'm unsure which
- 42:39Speaker 1: one was showering. He took like a twenty minute long shower,
- 42:42Speaker 1: so it sounds like he has good hygiene. But I
- 42:44Speaker 1: saw someone showering again tonight. Do we tell them we
- 42:47Speaker 1: can see them or leave it be? Thought? Yeah, do
- 42:51Speaker 1: we tell them we can see them, see them or
- 42:52Speaker 1: leave it be? If so, how do we tell them?
- 42:55Speaker 1: We tried flickering our lights to signal, but he continued
- 43:00Speaker 1: I knew his long shower. Do we wait until we
- 43:02Speaker 1: get to know them more, maybe become friends and tell them,
- 43:05Speaker 1: or do we knock on the door and let them know,
- 43:07Speaker 1: leave a note, wait until the next time we both
- 43:09Speaker 1: happen to be outside, or just leave it alone and
- 43:11Speaker 1: act like nothing had happened. Help. This is actually such
- 43:15Speaker 1: a big difference between men and women. I can actually
- 43:18Speaker 1: relate to this.
- 43:18Speaker 4: So the little oh I call it like a granny
- 43:21Speaker 4: flat that I moved into, is very open to both
- 43:24Speaker 4: neighbors front and back where I get changed. And Cassie
- 43:28Speaker 4: is very particular about having the blinds down because she's
- 43:31Speaker 4: a woman.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Yes, I don't give a fuck.
- 43:33Speaker 4: No, the only people I care that I don't want
- 43:35Speaker 4: to see my junk is Cassie's parents. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 43:37Speaker 4: but name in the media immediate area.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's my fucking house. I don't give a fuck.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Exactly if you're looking, yeah, you do it looking look away.
- 43:45Speaker 1: And I think those men would have the exact same mindset.
- 43:47Speaker 1: Oh my, it's my house. I don't give a fuck.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I'm happy with my drunk. Let's just keep it moving.
- 43:51Speaker 1: I think that if here, okay, there's a good chance
- 43:56Speaker 1: that they don't care. Right. So, but here's one thing,
- 44:00Speaker 1: is like, if you guys want them to put a
- 44:04Speaker 1: blind on, I think that's valid. Like let's go, yeah, yeah,
- 44:08Speaker 1: where's it coming from? Is it coming from? Because am
- 44:10Speaker 1: I in the wrong? Is in? Like? But also they're
- 44:12Speaker 1: looking in their house? It is hard like because am
- 44:17Speaker 1: I in the wrong expecting my neighbors? True? Good question.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Also they're looking at my house. Yeah, that's the dilemma.
- 44:25Speaker 1: That's literally, that's a catch a little glimpse, because the
- 44:27Speaker 1: fuck you see my little bump cheek, like, if you
- 44:29Speaker 1: don't want to see it, then don't look in my window.
- 44:35Speaker 1: But also I could understand that, like it's semi open,
- 44:37Speaker 1: so I understand that. Yeah, it's like pretty open. Then
- 44:39Speaker 1: they're like, well, how can I not look? And I'd
- 44:41Speaker 1: be like, well you can look down.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Yeah, because when I when I first in, sorry, when
- 44:47Speaker 4: I first moved into this place, Cassie lived there by herself,
- 44:51Speaker 4: and there's a guy on the back who sits on
- 44:53Speaker 4: his back porch and can see right into her house,
- 44:55Speaker 4: and obviously she doesn't want to want to see it.
- 44:57Speaker 4: And then when I moved in, I was like, leave
- 44:58Speaker 4: it open and we'll scare.
- 44:59Speaker 1: A couple times. I would just fork out naked. Yes,
- 45:03Speaker 1: he weren't looking in it anymore, scare him. Look, Okay,
- 45:08Speaker 1: if you don't want to see it anymore, then you
- 45:10Speaker 1: can say something. Then I think you could either knock
- 45:12Speaker 1: on the door or leave a note. No it's better
- 45:15Speaker 1: for that, but probably for that notes a bit better.
- 45:19Speaker 1: And then if you if you don't care that like
- 45:23Speaker 1: you can see it and you're just like thinking they care. Look,
- 45:29Speaker 1: I'd be so surprised if they If you don't care,
- 45:31Speaker 1: I would leave it and then but if it's really
- 45:33Speaker 1: eating up at you, like I wouldn't if someone came
- 45:35Speaker 1: knocked to my door and there was like, I just
- 45:38Speaker 1: want to let you know, Like I can see you
- 45:39Speaker 1: in the shower when you shower, do you have a
- 45:42Speaker 1: blind that you can close, I'd be like I personally
- 45:44Speaker 1: would be like, oh shit, yeah, I'm so sorry, I'll
- 45:47Speaker 1: close it. I would close it for their sake if
- 45:49Speaker 1: someone asked, agreed. So there's in my personal opinion, there's
- 45:55Speaker 1: no wrong answer in this one. No, no, And I
- 45:57Speaker 1: don't care the method you tell them. This wasn't where
- 46:00Speaker 1: I thought this was going. I was thinking when I
- 46:02Speaker 1: got to the shower, but I was like, she saw
- 46:04Speaker 1: it and it was fucking massy.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and she started chatting to him and he didn't
- 46:08Speaker 4: know that she saw it, but he but she wanted it.
- 46:11Speaker 1: He kind of wanted her and he's like, how can
- 46:13Speaker 1: I initiate having sexy? And that's what get back If
- 46:17Speaker 1: that's if that's what you want, baddies, I would prefer
- 46:19Speaker 1: that we suggest, we suggest having a crack a fuck.
- 46:32Speaker 1: It's time for comments. If you want to get a
- 46:34Speaker 1: comment read, you know what to do. Comment on the
- 46:36Speaker 1: episode and we will get to him.
- 46:37Speaker 4: We actually have Patreon today a little exclusive of what's
- 46:40Speaker 4: going on over there. The community is insane. Linking the
- 46:43Speaker 4: description I've got s, she said, I just love you guys.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Every time you drop a new episode, it's like a treat.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I'm just like you. I like being alone and just
- 46:51Speaker 1: have one friend, and I'm single and not dating men
- 46:54Speaker 1: because men, So I spend a lot of time alone
- 46:58Speaker 1: and watching your guys friendship is just a joy. You
- 47:00Speaker 1: guys feel like my mates. I just love feeling like
- 47:02Speaker 1: a part of the closeness you guys share. We are mates.
- 47:05Speaker 1: We are I got Danny, same episode, she said, Boys,
- 47:08Speaker 1: I don't know if you only recorded one episode this day,
- 47:11Speaker 1: but you guys seem hella relaxed, like you both seem
- 47:14Speaker 1: more chill than usual, and a vibing together in this episode,
- 47:17Speaker 1: the vibe is noise.
- 47:18Speaker 4: Now, that's so interesting about interesting thing about podcasting. I
- 47:21Speaker 4: guess too, because it is at the end of the day,
- 47:23Speaker 4: how you're feeling. Yeah, and it comes across in the episode.
- 47:26Speaker 1: True. Yeah, like today, maybe we could have felt like
- 47:29Speaker 1: we were I don't know, a bit stressed, so stressed
- 47:33Speaker 1: and frustrated. I feel like but also maybe a little
- 47:37Speaker 1: bit frustrated. Yeah, maybe, like let me think, Okay, what
- 47:40Speaker 1: type of conversations might have and just like day to
- 47:42Speaker 1: day with people like I feel like I'm very like
- 47:48Speaker 1: with my dad, I very rarely have a serious, serious conversation. Yeah,
- 47:52Speaker 1: we're usually pretty laughing, pretty this pretty that. Sometimes you
- 47:56Speaker 1: and I get serious. Sometimes we don't, Like I wonder
- 47:59Speaker 1: if we should just like, here's we're four years in batties.
- 48:02Speaker 1: All right, we're gonna hit you with I'm gonna hit
- 48:05Speaker 1: you with a question. What would you like to see
- 48:08Speaker 1: on the Relatables podcast? It's a great question. Would do
- 48:11Speaker 1: a lot of segments? Would you like to see less segments?
- 48:13Speaker 1: Would you like us to literally sit down and just
- 48:15Speaker 1: record and if conversation runs out, keep recording until it
- 48:18Speaker 1: gets interesting again? Like just do you what do you want? Yeah,
- 48:21Speaker 1: it's an interest, Like that's the queste. We've never really
- 48:23Speaker 1: asked what you want? What feelings do you want us
- 48:25Speaker 1: to talk about? Yeah? What don't you want us to
- 48:27Speaker 1: talk about? It? Don't you want to what do we
- 48:28Speaker 1: talk about? Now? That sucks?
- 48:30Speaker 5: True?
- 48:31Speaker 1: Like? What what constructive critics says them? What could we
- 48:33Speaker 1: leave in the last financial year? In Australia. The financial
- 48:39Speaker 1: is about to end. What can we leave in the
- 48:40Speaker 1: last financial year and bring into the new one? Agreed?
- 48:42Speaker 4: Agreed, It's time for one of you baddies to sign
- 48:45Speaker 4: off the episode. Jake, Who are we gonna call?
- 48:48Speaker 1: Katie? H? Katie? Is this Katie Hi? It's Jake and
- 48:54Speaker 1: not from the Relaters podcast? How are you?
- 49:00Speaker 6: Are you already calling for what we have?
- 49:02Speaker 1: What? How are you? I'm good?
- 49:06Speaker 2: How are you?
- 49:07Speaker 1: So? Please tell me that we've got this correct? You
- 49:12Speaker 1: moved to Australia upon our advice? Yes, how's it going? Ever?
- 49:18Speaker 1: We wanted an update?
- 49:19Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, it's likely going great.
- 49:21Speaker 5: I just got a job interview yesterday, so yeah, it's
- 49:26Speaker 5: going really good.
- 49:27Speaker 6: I'm enjoying it here.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Okay. That is I'm very glad to hear because I
- 49:30Speaker 1: would hate it if you were.
- 49:35Speaker 5: Having a great time.
- 49:36Speaker 6: I don't love the factors to consider, but yeah, I was.

- 52:03Speaker 1: another Batty.
- 52:06Speaker 5: Here we go.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Hello? Is that Jade?
- 52:10Speaker 5: Hello?
- 52:10Speaker 1: Oh my god, Jane, you've called us back at the
- 52:13Speaker 1: perfect time. I was about to sign off the episode

- 52:36Speaker 1: something prepared? I do.

- 52:52Speaker 1: we got? What are we talking here?
- 52:55Speaker 5: I'm good with you? Okay, so some of my ah
- 53:02Speaker 5: don't live for tomorrow, live for today. Another one is
- 53:11Speaker 5: hang on, let me find it. We cannot be what
- 53:14Speaker 5: we want by remaining.
- 53:15Speaker 6: What we are.
- 53:18Speaker 1: I like that one change.
- 53:20Speaker 5: Yeah, and I'll do one more. If you don't understand
- 53:28Speaker 5: why they did what they did, it's because it's not
- 53:30Speaker 5: something you would do to someone.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Oh that's a good way to get out of something,
- 53:34Speaker 1: because yeah, a lot of times people are thinking, like,
- 53:36Speaker 1: why would they do that? It makes zero sense?
- 53:39Speaker 5: Exactly.
- 53:40Speaker 1: That's a good one, all right. Hit us with what's
- 53:44Speaker 1: your favorite? What's your what's your favorite riddle that you've got?
- 53:47Speaker 5: Okay, there's a red house, green house, yellow house, and
- 53:52Speaker 5: a blue house. The red house is made out of
- 53:54Speaker 5: red bricks. The blue house is made out of blue bricks.
- 53:57Speaker 5: The yellow house is made out of what is the
- 54:01Speaker 5: greenhouse made out of?
- 54:03Speaker 1: I feel like I've heard this. I feel like this
- 54:05Speaker 1: has something to do with a garden. So I want
- 54:06Speaker 1: to say plastic. Oh is it green bricks? No? Wait wait,
- 54:16Speaker 1: what how can they?
- 54:19Speaker 5: I can let you know that you were sort of
- 54:21Speaker 5: close with something that you said.
- 54:23Speaker 1: No, No, it's it's like it's made out of brick. No,
- 54:28Speaker 1: what are you talking about? I just said that you
- 54:30Speaker 1: said green brick. Oh it's a greenhouse. So I said,
- 54:34Speaker 1: it's something to do with a garden. No, it's something
- 54:37Speaker 1: it's made out of trees.
- 54:40Speaker 4: It's something to do with like house materials. No, I've
- 54:46Speaker 4: heard this one before, Ray, like when I was like
- 54:48Speaker 4: twelve or something.
- 54:48Speaker 1: The same here when you when you start saying to Jade,
- 54:50Speaker 1: I was like, I'm going to get this because it
- 54:51Speaker 1: rings a bell.
- 54:52Speaker 4: But I can't remember what the house is made out of.
- 54:56Speaker 4: But it's not that the greenhouse is made out of.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Marcher earth. I don't know what is it.
- 55:06Speaker 5: It's glass like a greenhouse. So you were on the
- 55:08Speaker 5: right track.
- 55:10Speaker 2: I was so close, so I was right when I
- 55:13Speaker 2: just got a material wrong.
- 55:13Speaker 1: I did you say plastic because of that? Well, I
- 55:15Speaker 1: just bullshit, that's what you thought about. I literally was
- 55:20Speaker 1: thinking greenhouse because of plants.
- 55:22Speaker 5: Are agree, it's called it was on the right track
- 55:24Speaker 5: with gardens.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Yes, I've got my finger up. Is that why you said?
- 55:27Speaker 1: You didn't say plastic for that? Read this I did.
- 55:29Speaker 1: I said plastic because I thought a greenhouse was made
- 55:30Speaker 1: out of plastic. Yeah, well, interesting coming from the guy
- 55:33Speaker 1: I forgot to ask the last battie to sign off
- 55:35Speaker 1: the episode technic anyway, Jane, thank you very very much.
- 55:42Speaker 1: They were great quotes, and also you stumped us. Yes
- 55:45Speaker 1: you got us.
- 55:46Speaker 6: No, thank you so much.
- 55:48Speaker 5: This is actually insane.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Have a wonderful afternoon. Yes, enjoy it.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Thank you you too.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Bye.
- 56:01Speaker 1: We got what we wanted. Yeah, that was chaotic. That
- 56:05Speaker 1: was what you don't see behind the scenes. Bad is
- 56:09Speaker 1: is like normally we have to call like two or
- 56:10Speaker 1: three of you because you get scared. It's a random
- 56:12Speaker 1: number and you don't pick it. Up yeah yeah yeah,
- 56:14Speaker 1: like do not disturbed or something, and so Jade was
- 56:17Speaker 1: one of those that we called and she called back hilarious.
- 56:20Speaker 1: All right, we love your stay bad
