- 1:28So welcome back, everyone, to Inspirations for Your
- 1:31Life.
- 1:31This is the daily motivational show where growth
- 1:34is intentional, strength is sustainable and success is
- 1:37built from, yes, guys, the inside out.
- 1:39Who am I?
- 1:40Oh, sure.
- 1:40I'm John C.
- 1:41Morley.
- 1:42I'm your host, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist,
- 1:45video producer, podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate
- 1:48student and a passionate lifelong blurb.
- 1:51Yes, it is really a privilege and pleasure
- 1:54to be with you.
- 1:55This episode is about a truth most people
- 1:58learn too late in life.
- 2:00The world doesn't reward the loudest voice in
- 2:03the room, although many people think that if
- 2:06you're the loudest, you're the squeakiest wheel.
- 2:08Well, that doesn't really mean success all the
- 2:11time.
- 2:11It means annoyance.
- 2:13OK.
- 2:14And so it rewards the most grounded people,
- 2:18not the loudest.
- 2:20They may get some attention, but people are
- 2:23going to be sick and tired of those
- 2:24people.
- 2:25Quiet strength isn't weakness, guys.
- 2:28It's power under control.
- 2:32And today I'm exploring why being unseen, underestimated
- 2:38and unbothered is often the greatest advantage you
- 2:42can have.
- 2:42You might say to me, John, well, you
- 2:44know, I just want to do what I
- 2:46do because I am who I am.
- 2:48Well, that's fine, guys.
- 2:50But you're not going to build success.
- 2:53You're actually going to build people that don't
- 2:56want to talk to you, people that really
- 2:58can't stand to get out of your presence.
- 3:02Quiet strength, guys, wins long term because it's
- 3:05compounding the loud confidence and it burns fast.
- 3:09Oh, let me share with you what the
- 3:11master is for the week.
- 3:12The master is the world rewards the quietly
- 3:14strong, not the loudly powerful.
- 3:17Series five show six.
- 3:19And we're on episode number one.
- 3:21Calm confidence builds trust over time when you
- 3:25don't need to announce or remove people underestimate
- 3:28you.
- 3:29And that creates strategic space.
- 3:31So, guys, also very grateful.
- 3:34This is now I think we've been live.
- 3:38I think it's going to be a week
- 3:39that we're live with my brand new P1
- 3:416G3.
- 3:43You guys all know the horror story that
- 3:46happened when I had the P1G from Lenovo
- 3:49because their salesperson said, oh, this is going
- 3:51to be the greatest.
- 3:51But he didn't know his head from his
- 3:53butt.
- 3:54And I knew that that laptop was going
- 3:55to be a problem.
- 3:56But I just said, we'll try it.
- 3:58If it doesn't work, I'll send it back.
- 3:59It did everything great.
- 4:00You know what it couldn't do?
- 4:01It couldn't stream, couldn't do professional audio.
- 4:03It crashed.
- 4:05The P1 6G3 is a lean, powerful machine,
- 4:14lean, meaning the way it's designed, but not
- 4:17on performance, not on performance.
- 4:20So, yeah.
- 4:21And also it has some new camera angle
- 4:23adjustments and stuff.
- 4:24So it's really cool.
- 4:26So calm people, guys, don't chase control.
- 4:29They naturally hold it or what I like
- 4:31to say, hold a space for it.
- 4:33And when you hold a space for something,
- 4:35it basically causes you to not only appreciate
- 4:40it, but it causes other people to pay
- 4:42attention to you.
- 4:44Follow you, like you, share you, and also
- 4:49makes them want to, let's say, mimic you
- 4:53a little bit because they like what you're
- 4:55doing.
- 4:56Stillness, guys, attracts trust when you're not reactive.
- 5:02People feel safe around you.
- 5:05Drama, taxes progress, but quiet consistency builds momentum.
- 5:11And I think that's something that a lot
- 5:12of people here, they just don't get for
- 5:16whatever reason.
- 5:17They just don't get it.
- 5:21So understanding how listening creates leverage, calm minds
- 5:25see patterns that others miss.
- 5:28And silence doesn't make you invisible, guys.
- 5:31It makes others reveal themselves because when you're
- 5:36silent.
- 5:38You become more observant, don't you, about what's
- 5:41around you, what's going on, just become extremely
- 5:45observant, and you just want to be part
- 5:47of everything.
- 5:49And you learn an awful lot.
- 5:51Yeah, you definitely learn an awful lot.
- 5:54So quiet people negotiate better because they don't
- 5:59lead with what?
- 6:01The ego.
- 6:03That's right.
- 6:04So what is an ego in short?
- 6:08Because I know we talk about this a
- 6:09lot, but I want to go back and
- 6:10kind of explain what an ego is, according
- 6:13to Merriam-Webster.
- 6:14So an ego is this the self, especially
- 6:17as contrasted with another self or the world.
- 6:20But what are I guess the best way
- 6:22I want to share this with you was
- 6:23without giving you a whole psychology lesson.
- 6:26What are the parts of our ego?
- 6:30Let's do that, OK?
- 6:32So we have the id, the ego and
- 6:34the superego.
- 6:35I'm trying not to make this too psychological.
- 6:37The id and the superego are components of
- 6:40Freud's psychoanalytic theory.
- 6:42I'm sorry.
- 6:43The id represents our basic instincts and desires
- 6:46seeking immediate gratification.
- 6:50The ego is guided by reality.
- 6:53OK, so it is the instinct driven, pleasure
- 6:57seeking part of the mind focused on immediate
- 6:59gratification.
- 7:00The ego, the rational mediator that balances the
- 7:03id impulses with the real world, the superego,
- 7:07the moral conscience representing societal and parental standards,
- 7:11striving for ideal behavior.
- 7:13How they interact, the ego negotiates between the
- 7:16impulsive id and the judgmental superego, often using
- 7:21defense mechanisms to reduce conflict or anxiety.
- 7:24What's important?
- 7:25Freud's model helps shape modern psychology by highlighting
- 7:28unconscious motives, the importance of childhood experiences and
- 7:32how internal conflicts can affect behavior.
- 7:37Yeah, that's I know that's a mouthful there.
- 7:41And so the ego burns energy.
- 7:44All right.
- 7:47Calmness and calm saves it.
- 7:49Still waters run deep and deep waters move
- 7:52mountains very slowly and steadily and without noise.
- 7:55Quiet authority doesn't demand attention.
- 7:58It commands respect.
- 7:59Let me say that again.
- 8:00It doesn't command attention.
- 8:02It commands respect.
- 8:05Wow, John, that's a that's a real real
- 8:07mouthful there.
- 8:08I know.
- 8:10Being unbothered isn't indifference.
- 8:14It's clarity.
- 8:15Calm minds decide better and quiet dominance doesn't
- 8:20need applause.
- 8:21Guys, low ego leads to high execution.
- 8:26Stillness sharpens focus.
- 8:29Calm outlasts any chaos that we have.
- 8:33And I think when we talk about, you
- 8:35know, the world and we talk about rewards
- 8:38and I've mentioned this before, when we think
- 8:41about the world as, you know, rewarding and
- 8:44quietly strong, not the loudly powerful, because we've
- 8:48always been taught that the squeaky wheel gets,
- 8:51you know, gets what it needs, but.
- 8:54Not always it may in the beginning, but
- 8:57then it doesn't seem to.
- 9:00Oh, it doesn't seem to be welcome all
- 9:02the time.
- 9:03I think that's a hard thing for a
- 9:05lot of people to recognize that it doesn't
- 9:07seem to be welcome all the time.
- 9:09All right.
- 9:10And so when we think about this, right,
- 9:14we think about being quiet, somebody who's listening,
- 9:17somebody who's observing, right?
- 9:21Not the loudly powerful.
- 9:23Now, the loudly powerful people think of things
- 9:26like a fire or some kind of situation
- 9:28and somebody yells it.
- 9:30It's going to catch your attention and my
- 9:31attention, because that's what it's designed to do.
- 9:33But what it's not going to do is
- 9:36keep our attention for more than 30 seconds
- 9:38to a minute.
- 9:40Because once we decide that this is really
- 9:43not something we have to worry about, like,
- 9:44for example, if somebody yells fire, don't do
- 9:46that.
- 9:47Right.
- 9:49People are going to respond.
- 9:51Then after a minute or two and we
- 9:52realize there is no fire, like, who's this
- 9:55guy?
- 9:55What is he talking about?
- 9:56And then we kind of dismiss it a
- 9:58little bit annoyed and aggravated.
- 10:00Right.
- 10:02So when we think about our own inner
- 10:04calmness, calmness.
- 10:06When we are calm, we're not reactive.
- 10:11Now, I've talked about proactive and reactive.
- 10:14We could talk about this in a business
- 10:16standpoint.
- 10:16We could talk about a personal standpoint, in
- 10:18a personal standpoint.
- 10:20We want to make sure that in a
- 10:23relationship we are.
- 10:25Proactive, that means we have open communication, that
- 10:28means that we are listening, that means that
- 10:31we are recognizing body language.
- 10:34And if something doesn't feel right, you know,
- 10:36we do we communicate.
- 10:39Hey, Joe.
- 10:39Hey, Bob.
- 10:40Hey, Mary.
- 10:41I noticed we were talking about X, Y,
- 10:44Z.
- 10:45And just so I'm clear about this, what
- 10:49you're looking for me to do is get
- 10:52rid of everything in the yard or what
- 10:56have you.
- 10:58No, no, that's not what I want.
- 11:01What do you want?
- 11:02I want you to get rid of all
- 11:04the things on your side of the yard,
- 11:06not the whole yard.
- 11:11That's a interesting thing.
- 11:14But can you think about being quiet for
- 11:17a moment?
- 11:17Can you think about what that'll mean to
- 11:19you?
- 11:22What about being quiet in business?
- 11:29When we can be quiet in business, we
- 11:35have a way.
- 11:38Of being able to understand and by being
- 11:47able to understand.
- 11:50We can actually see the world from a
- 11:54different perspective.
- 11:57OK, that's pretty neat.
- 12:08OK.
- 12:10Think about what I mean by that.
- 12:14Think about a perspective.
- 12:21Just think about it.
- 12:26And when you think about it.
- 12:30You'll be able to notice if there's a
- 12:35shift or if there's a change that's going
- 12:37on in your life.
- 12:39Right.
- 12:44And that shift may not always be.
- 12:52What you expected or what somebody else envisioned.
- 12:58But one thing is certain when we choose
- 13:01to listen, when we choose to focus, our
- 13:06world.
- 13:09Becomes different.
- 13:12When you're listening to people, OK?
- 13:16And you're not looking to interject a point.
- 13:19I know so many people that when I'm
- 13:21having a conversation, it's like they already have
- 13:23this question, right?
- 13:25And they want to interrupt because they got
- 13:27to get the question answered.
- 13:28But what they don't do is they don't
- 13:29pay attention to.
- 13:32My point.
- 13:34So they're not really listening to me, are
- 13:36they?
- 13:37They're kind of listening like with a half
- 13:40ear.
- 13:41I think that's one of the worst things
- 13:43you can do is listen with a half
- 13:44ear, right?
- 13:46A half ear means that you are hearing
- 13:49the conversation.
- 13:52But you're not really paying attention to its
- 13:54meaning, not really paying attention to its meaning.
- 14:00And if you're not paying attention to its
- 14:02meaning, then how do you figure out what's
- 14:05going on?
- 14:06How do you figure out what's happening?
- 14:08How do you figure that out?
- 14:10And I think the biggest thing I want
- 14:13to say to you is that it comes
- 14:16down to a presence.
- 14:19OK.
- 14:20It comes down to a presence.
- 14:22And when we can command a presence.
- 14:27OK.
- 14:28When we can command a presence, something
- 14:38happens, something happens to us.
- 14:45We become aware of our situation.
- 14:51We become non-reactive.
- 14:54We become proactive.
- 14:55So let's think of it in terms of
- 14:58a fire, OK?
- 14:59And this is something people always pay attention
- 15:02to, right?
- 15:03So what if I had to ask you
- 15:06this question, guys, what should I do to
- 15:11prepare for a fire?
- 15:15Like, what should I get?
- 15:18What should I plan?
- 15:21Does anybody know?
- 15:23I mean, I hope you never have a
- 15:24fire, number one.
- 15:25But are you prepared if one broke out?
- 15:30So when I was at school, at college,
- 15:32I'm back at school again, but when I
- 15:34was living at college.
- 15:36And I remember being in the dorm.
- 15:39And I remember being it was like our
- 15:42junior year and our senior year, I lived
- 15:44in the same place, I lived in a
- 15:46place where seniors would live.
- 15:47My junior year, I was very fortunate.
- 15:49That place had air conditioning.
- 15:50It was called Park River.
- 15:54And I remember.
- 15:59Because I wasn't there every week, and I
- 16:00remember.
- 16:02At like not 10, not 11, like two
- 16:05or three in the morning.
- 16:08The alarm would go off, OK?
- 16:14And.
- 16:15First thing, I was like, oh, there's a
- 16:16fire, I better just grab everything.
- 16:18So first thing I did, the first thing
- 16:20is I wasn't prepared, right?
- 16:22I grabbed a pair of pants quick from
- 16:24from my closet, pair of jeans through a
- 16:26sweatshirt on and or just from my jacket
- 16:28on.
- 16:29So I grabbed a pair of jeans to
- 16:31put over my pajamas and I just put
- 16:34my jacket on over to stay warm and
- 16:36put my shoes on.
- 16:37Nature had socks on.
- 16:38And I and I don't think I know.
- 16:41I don't think I put socks on.
- 16:42And I went downstairs and stood outside for
- 16:45what it was an hour or a little
- 16:46more.
- 16:47And then they called us back.
- 16:48Turns out one of the Ferrari's fraternities actually
- 16:53decided they didn't have to use a toaster.
- 16:55They're probably drunk.
- 16:57And they were setting the curtains on fire.
- 17:01So then we were having more of these.
- 17:03We had another one, and I said, you
- 17:04know what?
- 17:05Because we had a second one.
- 17:07And after the second one, nothing really happened.
- 17:09It was just kind of somebody setting a
- 17:10smoke alarm off.
- 17:12So now I say, you know what?
- 17:13This has happened too often within like a
- 17:16short period of time, like a month has
- 17:18happened like two times, two or three times.
- 17:20And I said, all right, I got to
- 17:21be prepared.
- 17:22So when I go to bed at night,
- 17:23I'm going to make sure that I have
- 17:25my jeans over my chair and my jackets
- 17:30ready.
- 17:30And if I have to hop out of
- 17:32bed, I quick throw my jeans on.
- 17:34I could be out with less than a
- 17:35minute.
- 17:38And the interesting thing about that is.
- 17:41It kept happening for a while.
- 17:43Now, I was prepared, but many people are
- 17:46like, oh, it's not going to happen.
- 17:47I'd rather be prepared than be frustrated because
- 17:49I'm not ready.
- 17:51So let's talk about a fire.
- 17:53And it's important thing for everyone here to
- 17:54know, because hopefully never had one, but I'd
- 17:56like you to always be prepared for one.
- 17:57So what do you get?
- 17:59Fire safety essentials for your home.
- 18:01Smoke alarms, right?
- 18:03Some of you have the smoke alarms that
- 18:05you have to change the batteries and those
- 18:07you have to do basically every time you
- 18:08change the clocks, which is twice a year.
- 18:10But I recommend putting the ones that I
- 18:11think they're like seven or I think it's
- 18:1310 years you put them in and you
- 18:15put a date on them and you don't
- 18:16have to touch them again for 10 years.
- 18:19Smoke alarms on every level of your home.
- 18:21Test them monthly.
- 18:24Fire extinguisher, ABC type in the kitchen, the
- 18:27garage and near the bedrooms.
- 18:30A fire blanket, especially for kitchens.
- 18:34Flashlights, one per room, if possible.
- 18:37Some spare batteries.
- 18:39Emergency whistle to signal if someone's trapped.
- 18:42A go bag.
- 18:44Something you can grab in 30 seconds or
- 18:46less.
- 18:48This is things like copies of IDs, your
- 18:51insurance, medical information, paper, maybe things on a
- 18:54USB stick, phone charger, power bank, cash, because
- 18:59the ATM may be down.
- 19:01Medications if you need them.
- 19:03N95 or smoke masks like we were talking
- 19:04about during the COVID time, right?
- 19:06Water and some small snacks.
- 19:09Basic first aid kit, clothes and sturdy shoes
- 19:13and maybe some pet supplies.
- 19:15OK, you already have it to go.
- 19:16So throw everything on, you pick up the
- 19:18bag and bam, you're out.
- 19:21What else do you need to plan so
- 19:22that you can have things so that you
- 19:23could save lives?
- 19:24Well.
- 19:26First of all, you should always make sure
- 19:27that, you know, two ways out of your
- 19:29location.
- 19:30If you're going on a trip, maybe you're
- 19:31at a hotel.
- 19:32Take a minute or two.
- 19:34Look at the, you know, look at the
- 19:35evacuation plan and figure out two ways to
- 19:38get out of your room.
- 19:39That's the first thing I always do when
- 19:40I check into a hotel.
- 19:43Practice getting out in the dark.
- 19:48So a lot of hotels that I go
- 19:50to, you know, they're pretty well lit up,
- 19:54but at home, I have lights that come
- 19:56on when it's dark and things like that.
- 19:59And some lights that come on that don't
- 20:01need power, right?
- 20:02They basically come on when there's no power.
- 20:04They're rechargeable.
- 20:05And so practice getting out in the dark.
- 20:09All right.
- 20:10Designate a meeting spot, everyone.
- 20:12This is really important.
- 20:14Outside, tree, mailbox, neighbor's house.
- 20:18The first time I learned about the meeting
- 20:19spot and after I learned about it, we
- 20:21started doing it at home.
- 20:22Was that we created one was at school.
- 20:25We had a designated meeting spot.
- 20:26Every time you were in a different grade,
- 20:29each classroom had a different meeting spot.
- 20:33So not such a big deal when you
- 20:35were in like, you know, K through, let's
- 20:38say third or fourth grade, but you still
- 20:41had gym from like, you know, first to
- 20:44four and up.
- 20:45So you'd have a different evacuation in gym
- 20:48when we got into classes that are like
- 20:50fifth grade through eighth grade.
- 20:51Well, now I could be in maybe four
- 20:54different classrooms possibly.
- 20:56OK.
- 20:58And I could also be in the gym.
- 21:02And so now we had to know, how
- 21:04do you get out of that situation?
- 21:05How do you get out of that safely?
- 21:07That was really important.
- 21:08So we had fire drills a couple of
- 21:10times a month, not because we didn't have
- 21:12to get out of the building, but because
- 21:15it was different depending on where we were
- 21:18situated, what class we were in.
- 21:19For example, if I was in gym class,
- 21:22first thing we were to do is to
- 21:24go right out one of the doors to
- 21:26our left or to our right.
- 21:27And our gym spot was right outside.
- 21:29And we had a spot that we'd meet
- 21:30every classroom.
- 21:33OK, the location had a spot.
- 21:35If you were in the kitchen, you'd be
- 21:36over here.
- 21:37If you were here.
- 21:38The reason I say that is I volunteered
- 21:39and I helped with the they call it
- 21:43the basically called it the pretzels.
- 21:46You're probably familiar with this, the Boston pretzels.
- 21:48So we had those at our school.
- 21:50And if I was in the kitchen helping
- 21:52with that and we had to get out,
- 21:53there was a place we have to be.
- 21:55So those are very, very important things.
- 21:58Communicate your OK.
- 21:59So the most important thing, know where it
- 22:00is.
- 22:01Designate a meeting spot and never, ever, ever
- 22:03reenter the building for any reason whatsoever.
- 22:06Even if somebody's in there, a loved one,
- 22:07tell the emergency people, don't you go back
- 22:10in because now we have to worry about
- 22:11getting that person out and getting you out.
- 22:13Just tell whoever's there and they will take
- 22:15care of it.
- 22:16Trust me.
- 22:17Um, make sure you have ice in case
- 22:20of emergency.
- 22:22Now, this is important to have evacuation plan
- 22:26we talked about.
- 22:27Know the two routes.
- 22:28Keep your gas tank full.
- 22:30Store essentials where you can grab them fast.
- 22:33If they're ordered in a moment to evacuate,
- 22:36you can go early.
- 22:38What to do before, during and after, before
- 22:41a fire.
- 22:42Clear dry leaves, debris near home.
- 22:45Don't overload outlets.
- 22:46Unplug unused appliances.
- 22:48Keep flambles away from heat sources.
- 22:50Close bedroom doors at night.
- 22:52And this was slow fire spreading during a
- 22:55fire.
- 22:56Get low.
- 22:57Right.
- 22:57Drop.
- 22:58You've heard the stop, drop and roll was
- 23:00a great commercial they had on many years
- 23:01ago.
- 23:02Stop, drop and roll.
- 23:04Get low.
- 23:04Smoke rises.
- 23:05Feel the doors before opening them.
- 23:07Hot equals don't open.
- 23:09Cold equals open.
- 23:10If it's hot, go another way.
- 23:12Close doors behind you.
- 23:13Call 911 once it's safe.
- 23:15If closed, catch fire.
- 23:16Stop, drop and roll.
- 23:18OK.
- 23:19If someone, let's say, sees a small fire.
- 23:24Only if you think it's safe and you're
- 23:26able to put it out, pull the pin,
- 23:29aim low, squeeze and sweep back and forth.
- 23:32OK.
- 23:33If it doesn't go out immediately, leave.
- 23:35OK.
- 23:36Do not return until authorities say it is
- 23:39safe for you to go back into the
- 23:41building.
- 23:42Document damage for your insurance company.
- 23:44Watch for smoke inhalation symptoms.
- 23:46Very, very important.
- 23:48Special situations, wildfires.
- 23:51Keep windows, doors closed.
- 23:53Wear a mask if air quality is poor.
- 23:55Prepare to leave hours earlier than you think.
- 23:59Apartments.
- 23:59Know your stairwells.
- 24:01Never elevators.
- 24:02Know if you should stay put.
- 24:05Some high rises tell you to do that.
- 24:07Or if you should evacuate.
- 24:09Pets never leave them behind if possible.
- 24:12Keep carriers accessible.
- 24:13Practice loading them quickly.
- 24:15OK.
- 24:17If you do nothing else, I want you
- 24:20to do this today.
- 24:21Stand in your bedroom and time how long
- 24:24it takes you to get outside.
- 24:27If it's more than 60 seconds, you better
- 24:30fix that.
- 24:33OK.
- 24:34The thing is, if you live on a
- 24:36high floor, it might take you some time,
- 24:40OK, to get out.
- 24:42So getting out might take you.
- 24:44So literally, you know, you can you can
- 24:46now I'm talking.
- 24:47They always say walk, don't run.
- 24:49OK.
- 24:50Because somebody could fall and he get hurt.
- 24:53Typically, you can usually get to your stairs
- 24:55if you're in a in a building, an
- 24:57apartment building, usually within less than 10 seconds.
- 25:01OK, 10, 20 seconds.
- 25:03That means you should be able to get
- 25:05out of the building OK.
- 25:08In under a minute.
- 25:10You can do this.
- 25:11OK.
- 25:12That's important to understand.
- 25:14Very, very important to understand.
- 25:17But the other thing I want you to
- 25:18do, too, is I want you to come
- 25:19up with an evacuation plan.
- 25:22I want you to write it down.
- 25:23I want you to publish it, share it
- 25:25with not just your family, but even your
- 25:27visitors when they come over.
- 25:29Have it posted somewhere.
- 25:30I know this sounds corny, but hey, if
- 25:32it saves lives, it's important, guys.
- 25:35It is important.
- 25:38And a lot of places, sometimes places are
- 25:40big and you think you're going out.
- 25:42But maybe that room doesn't go out.
- 25:43Maybe that room just goes into another room.
- 25:46So this is why a lot of places,
- 25:47even large homes and mansions have signs that
- 25:50say where the exit is.
- 25:52Right.
- 25:53I mean, I think that's a I think
- 25:54that's a great idea.
- 25:55I think of a house is too big.
- 25:57I think it should definitely have exit signs.
- 25:59Mansions definitely need exit signs.
- 26:01Right.
- 26:01You think you're getting ready to go out
- 26:02and really what you did, you just got
- 26:05yourself back into a loop again.
- 26:07So here's the truth, everyone.
- 26:09The loud often peaks very early and it
- 26:11catches people's attention.
- 26:13All right.
- 26:13The quiet, though, endures quiet power.
- 26:18Scales, silent progress always compounds.
- 26:24Calm confidence will continue to last.
- 26:28And you'll have your composure.
- 26:31There's always going to be people at emergency
- 26:33situations that are going to panic.
- 26:36There's enough people that panic already.
- 26:38We don't need you to panic, too.
- 26:40Right.
- 26:41So obviously, we don't want people to panic.
- 26:43But if we can keep you from panicking,
- 26:45then we could probably keep a lot of
- 26:47other people from panicking.
- 26:48But some people are just going to panic.
- 26:50All right.
- 26:51You try to reassure them, but they might
- 26:52not.
- 26:54If you've ever felt overlooked, maybe underestimated or
- 26:59maybe even unseen.
- 27:02This was the episode for you.
- 27:03And it's a reminder that you don't need
- 27:05to be louder so you can catch people.
- 27:08You need to be steadier.

- 27:36Remember, ladies and gentlemen, preparing for a fire
- 27:38or being proactive is not something you do
- 27:42once.
- 27:43It's something you do over and over again,
- 27:44because when you're reactive, you are stressed, you
- 27:48are bound to make mistakes.
- 27:51And that mistake could cost your life.
- 27:54Have yourself a great one, everyone, and I
- 27:56will catch you real soon.
- 27:58And remember, don't be loud, be quiet and
- 28:01do it intentionally.
