- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Spin Anarchy.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: This is your host, Ekka, and today is another episode in the masterclass series with Dr.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Allenby and her team.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: And I'm really excited.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Welcome back, Dr.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: Allenby.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited to have you.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Hey Ekka! Just so our listeners know, I'll be speaking with Dr.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Allenby today, as well as Amanda and Danny, who are both nurse practitioners within the practice as well.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: So we'll be discussing some things.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: But Dr.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Allenby, I would love to get started to talk to you about sculptra and threads.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: If you could tell us a little bit about what that is and tell us about the treatment and technology to educate our listeners.
- 0:35SPEAKER_03: Wow, you know, sculpture and threads are individually each both some of my favorite things to do.
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: So let me just describe what they are.
- 0:44SPEAKER_03: Sculptra is a biostimulatory um filler.
- 0:48SPEAKER_03: And, you know, I will tell you out in the aesthetic world right now, fillers kind of have a bad name.
- 0:52SPEAKER_03: And I'm gonna just go off on a little bit of a tangent and educate people.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Fillers in the wrong hands can be detrimental, as can anything.
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: But when they're done well, they shine and you don't know that they're done.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: Sculpture is a biostimulatory filler, it's not a hyaluronic acid, it grows your collagen in, so it really acts different than the hyaluronic acids, and you traditionally do not get puffy.
- 1:18SPEAKER_03: And the places are more versatile where we can put them.
- 1:21SPEAKER_03: So it is a product that has been around since 2004.
- 1:24SPEAKER_03: I've been a trainer for years for it, and really what it has shown excellence in is that it grows collagen, it can lift, it can tighten.
- 1:33SPEAKER_03: If you use it like under the skin as a blanket, you can actually get a glow to the skin.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: We traditionally use a probably more upper lateral face because we want to get a lift and it kind of pulls the whole face up, especially if I put it under the scalp.
- 1:48SPEAKER_03: You can use it there and you kind of get a nice little lift.
- 1:50SPEAKER_03: You can use it in the face, it can pull wrinkles out for you, but you don't look filled.
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: It's such a cool product.
- 1:57SPEAKER_03: And then then you go over to one.
- 1:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you put that in the tissue and you want to still get more lift, you can use something called threads, PDO threads.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: We use these threads internally in surgery, and we've been using them for years, not just in dermatology, but all medicine, as you know.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: And these absorbable sutures, and we like them because they're not permanent.
- 2:18SPEAKER_03: Many years ago, we had a day with permanent ones and they were pretty horrible.
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: These absorbable sutures are have little baby like hooks in them.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: And I know it sounds gross.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: We put it in, you don't see them, they just lift the tissue up, and it is like incredible.
- 2:32SPEAKER_03: It almost looks like a little fishing line, and I know it sounds kind of icky, but it's like a little fishing line with little hooks on it, and it just pulls the tissue up and it gradually dissolves over time, and it kind of acts like sculpture when it dissolves, it just kind of creates collagen build in its path.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: So I use them in combination a tremendous amount in the office.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: It's still one of my favorite procedures.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: It is something that when it's done, you look like you get a facelift.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: It's good and bad because once you see that, you can't unsee it.
- 2:58SPEAKER_03: You know, it's kind of like I look so good, you know.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: You get one of those feelings.
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: And with time, because the little barbs lose their strength and you know, life just keeps happening.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: Within a couple months, you kind of lose that facelift look.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: You're not baseline, but you use you lose the facelift look, and you do get addicted to that facelift look.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: You know, um, this is literally a 10-minute procedure that gives you a facelift.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: Kind of call it the Friday facelift because you just on Friday afternoon on the way out the door, you whip a thread in, and it literally takes 10-15 minutes to do, and you don't look bruised, you don't see anything, and you are looking real snatch jaw line there.
- 3:39SPEAKER_03: I'm usually I like I put threads right in front of the ear, like vertically up and down to pull up.
- 3:45SPEAKER_03: I can use threads in the scalp to pull the eyes up, kind of like a ponytail lift.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: So there are so many ways we can do it.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: We can lick up the nasal labial fold, but it's by putting one kind of angle towards the nose.
- 3:56SPEAKER_03: But I use it with sculpture because the sculpture kind of holds the longevity a little bit better.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: You used to mention there's like no downtime for this, right?
- 4:03SPEAKER_03: Who's the best candidate?
- 4:04SPEAKER_03: You know, it's always gonna be a young person because they're the best candidate for everything.
- 4:08SPEAKER_03: You know, if you have a lot of loose hanging skin, the sculpture works great, but sometimes the thread will kind of give a little gathered look, and that's not good.
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: Anywhere from 35 to 75 is probably okay.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: But once you start getting old older, it becomes a little bit not such a great procedure.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: Um, so you know, that you kind of have to say, okay, you don't want totally wiped-out skin.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: You know, you want somebody who has a little bit of collagen left, a little bit of spring left to their tissue that actually is going to have enough thickness that if the thread grabs the tissue, it's not going to gather up.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the candidate is fairly important, but really a wide range of people do very well with these.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: When you're having the procedure, you know, we've learned to make it much more comfortable.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: Back in the day when it first started, it was a little more uncomfortable.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: When you're putting before you put them in, we use a lot of lidocaine mixed with the sculpture.
- 5:00SPEAKER_03: We do it in the path where we're going to put the thread, and it really makes it much more comfortable.
- 5:04SPEAKER_03: Because as you can think, you have something that has a little bit of a sharp little barbs on it.
- 5:09SPEAKER_03: They do, you can feel it a little bit.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: It can be kind of uncomfortable and pull a little funny.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: So that would be kind of the negative is that they can be a little bit uncomfortable, but kind of learn to put a lot of lidocaine in.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: We use a lot of nitrous oxide, which is laughing gas in the office, to really help people who are very pain intolerant.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: And I think if you can get through some of the discomfort piece of it, and that's probably the worst part about it.
- 5:31SPEAKER_03: Truly, it is a 10-minute procedure.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, it sounds like a great option though.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: If you're looking for something that's like faster and you know, you don't have that downtime, right?
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: So right, and and you rarely bruise from this.
- 5:43SPEAKER_03: You can, you know, you can bruise with anything, but it's you don't normally see a bruise, you're just seeing the lift.
- 5:48SPEAKER_03: And that is kind of like the winner winner chicken dinner situation.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: No, you mentioned the collagen that you know you naturally have more collagen production than after getting these treatments, right?
- 5:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, that's the nature of both products internal sutures, when they're closing a wound, when they're in wound healing state, they are meant to cause fibrosis, which is really collagen build.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so you're getting some collagen building in the area.
- 6:14SPEAKER_03: Okay, what is sculpture?
- 6:15SPEAKER_03: Sculpture is polyalactic acid.
- 6:17SPEAKER_03: And the way it came about, it was actually suture material that was pulverized into a powder.
- 6:22SPEAKER_03: We put bacterytic water and lidocaine in it, and that's what we injected.
- 6:26SPEAKER_03: And, you know, it had its moment of learning curve, like everything else.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: And we've come to the proper dilution.
- 6:33SPEAKER_03: So people don't have negative things.
- 6:35SPEAKER_03: In the past, it was bumps and things, and it was because it was not diluted enough to kind of spread in an area.
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: So it really is kind of a suture material that we're putting in there to create this collagen build, but we're spreading it over a zone.
- 6:48SPEAKER_03: And then you have a suture that is more of a, you know, a solid piece that's going to be growing collagen.
- 6:54SPEAKER_03: And so they're really both very similar product lines, and they both are meant to build collagen, and you're using them to kind of be stays, kind of like little bumpers in the area to hold what you're trying to get up.
- 7:07SPEAKER_03: If you're using as a lifter, if I'm using it to recondition the tissue, I'm using it more like in a blanket form so it'll grow collagen and kind of pull wrinkles out or maybe acne scars.
- 7:18SPEAKER_03: It kind of effaces or pulls out a wrinkle or an indent of the tissue.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: It's very interesting, though.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, I guess there's multiple uses depending on what you're looking for, you know.
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: I mean, we use it in the rear.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: I build up rear ends with this.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, I've put it in thighs.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: You can use it in so many ways.
- 7:35SPEAKER_03: It's really a cool product.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: So, what is the maintenance then involved after you got the sculpture or threads?
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: Um, sculpture, you know, because back in the day we had some bumps, and that's why we ended up putting more fluid into the bottle.
- 7:48SPEAKER_03: So you put the fluid in, and the fluid looks amazing.
- 7:52SPEAKER_03: Like you look like you get a facelift because that fluid filled in the space, and it's kind of putting a preview of what's going to happen later.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: The fluid absorbs, it builds collagen.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: While usually the first couple days during the after phase, you're gonna massage the area and you just massage it so you don't get bumps.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you're using just sculpture like as a product to fill or to create lift, usually we say you need a vial of your age decade.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: So if you're 50 years old, you really need five vials to get you there.
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: But really, we kind of do two and we just see how you do.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: We give you a couple months between it, give your body some time to grow collagen.
- 8:29SPEAKER_03: And if you really grow in and you look fine, you don't need to do more.
- 8:32SPEAKER_03: But if you are empty, it's like maybe you're a slow grower, maybe you're not a robust grower, but everybody grows collagen.
- 8:39SPEAKER_03: So everybody really responds to this.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: The kind of results that we can expect.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's gonna be good because it works pretty much for everybody.
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: Pretty much, yeah.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, I I think I can count on one hand, and I probably do close to 1200 a year of vials of sculpture.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, wow.
- 8:55SPEAKER_03: In my whole career, on one hand, people that didn't respond well with it.
- 8:59SPEAKER_03: Wow, and it's been around since 2004, so that's a huge track record.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: See, I like that.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: I like the treatments that you know they've been proven, you know, multiple for many, many years.
- 9:10SPEAKER_03: Like I mean, honestly, they've been proven here because I like we're one of the bigger users in the country with this, and we're pretty inventive and things.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: Well, we're chasing age ourselves, you know.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: We all want to look good in here, it's not just me.
- 9:23SPEAKER_03: It definitely is something that it can be used so safely and it's just so minimal with any risk of side effects.
- 9:30SPEAKER_03: You know, it's very liquidy because it's really more liquid or water going in with the product.
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: The product is so minuscule that even if you got a little on a vessel, you're not gonna hurt anybody.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: It just goes through the system and washes away.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: You know, unlike a hyaluronic acid, you get that in a vessel, you can occlude a vessel, and you might have a problem because you're not getting good blood flow to the area.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think that it's in it for me when I look at fillers, you said this in the beginning.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: For me, fillers, I the more and more I look at people who are getting them done, I'm noticing there's just a lot of like question marks.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: You know, if you're not going to the right practitioner, it becomes like a very much a gray area.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And I think it's it's better to do something tried and true.
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: I just did a social media piece on it.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: You know, you you go to a surgeon for surgery, you should really be coming to a dermatologist or dermatology practice for your fillers because that's really our ballpark.
- 10:18SPEAKER_03: You know, that's what we're proficient in.
- 10:20SPEAKER_03: I'm not proficient in surgery and I don't want to do them.
- 10:23SPEAKER_03: Skin care, fillers, devices, those are all things you should be coming to the dermatology practice for.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: I couldn't agree more.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And I hope people take that advice.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: I want to talk to Amanda now about the Elocor.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Hi there.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Hi, Amanda.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: I want to ask you about Elecor.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Tell us about Elecor.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: What is it and what should we know in terms of background?
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: Elecore is one of the newer devices on the market.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: We've had it for almost, it'll almost be two years now.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: It's a little bit different than the lasers or microneedling with radio frequency because there's no heat, there's no energy with this device.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: It's little needles and they've got a hollow core.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: So, what it's doing is it's leaving little punches to excise or take out the tissue.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: So, really, anybody who's battling with excess tissue instead of undergoing any surgeries to remove this, this is an option that you can go and do without undergoing surgery.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: I know that, you know, in the past, people used to directly go to surgery for that, any excess tissue removal.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Who is the ideal candidate then for that kind of treatment?
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: It kind of falls into that same age range of you've got to have good skin quality.
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: You've got to have some sort of bounce and collagen to your tissue to actually respond to these devices.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: So I'd say anybody between the ages of like 30 to 75 with that excess tissue, any of even that pre-jowling where they are starting to have a little bit of the hang or wrinkling by the mouth, you know, that's often an area that people do not like to see, or even the upper eyes were treating the off-label to get rid of some of that excess tissue and hang so that people don't have to go that surgical route.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: Seeing great results, it's one of my favorite devices.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: How many treatments does it usually take if you're trying to get a couple of areas, you know, that they want that excess tissue?
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, do you have to come back and forth?
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Like you come in once and then you have to come back again, or how does that work?
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: This one, you know, it takes a little bit of time for your skin to heal from this.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: You have to set out a minimum of four to five days of downtime where you're a little messy looking, you know, and we have products that help to get you through that healing and expedite that if you have any certain events or anything, but it's something that you do want to plan for a little bit.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: Once you go through that healing phase, you know, you have some swelling, some redness, maybe a little bit of pinpoint bleeding to the areas that we treat.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Um, that improves usually by day four or five, and maybe just a couple little residual swelling and some redness to the area.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: And we usually want to wait about 90 days to see the peak results of it, and then space it out by doing it a second treatment.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: I'd say minimum 90 days, usually sometimes even six months apart.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: Allen BA, we did her two treatments.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: We did one in February and I think the second one in August.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: So it was a good four or five months apart that I did our treatments, and she responded well to that.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: That's very interesting.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of like maintenance um between treatments, or even if you say you got one treatment, what is the maintenance that's involved?
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: It's the same with it.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: You're investing into these procedures.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: If you're investing into sculpture threads, you're investing into CO2 laser, or you're investing into Elecor, these are all things that you want to keep your investment going.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: So you want to back it with good medical skin grade products, and you also may want to do like a peel or a laser treatment in between to keep that collagen stimulated and growing.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: You're removing up to two to three centimeters of tissue.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: So when you think of it in that aspect, you know, compare that to what you can achieve with a lift without undergoing surgery.
- 14:10SPEAKER_00: This is really fascinating, actually, because whenever I think of excess tissue removal, I think of like back in the day, you know, when people used to lose a ton of weight and then they would go through those excessive surgeries to try to get that, you know, like that excess skin off.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: And it was a big deal.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: In terms of results, I mean, what are realistically, what can people expect?
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: That's what I do love about this device.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: One of the big things, like Dr.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: A was mentioning on social media, everybody is going the more natural route.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: You know, they don't want this fake look, they don't want this tacked back look that you get when you undergo surgery.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: You can get good results of a lift of treating that excess skin or wrinkles around the mouth, around the eyes, you know, the excess hang, get that tighter and lifted without that tacked back fake look.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: I know right now, I mean, for this past year, OZMPIC has been such a buzz, right?
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, everyone's been talking about it.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: And I'm wondering, people who've been on Ozempic, they've experienced obviously the weight loss, but then any sagging skin or whatnot, would they be good candidates for something like this?
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: As you, you know, you have fat and you have bone structure that helps hold up skin.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: As you lose some of that fat, you have that excess skin laxity.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: So that is a huge area and seeing really good results for those patients.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much, Amanda.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: I love learning about it.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Hi, Danny.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: How are you?
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: I'm good.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: How are you?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: I'm good.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: I would love to understand cool peels and CO2 from you, Danny.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: If you could explain to us what is cool peel and the CO2 techniques that are utilized in your clinic.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: Cool peel is the specific CO2 device that we have here in office.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: Uh, CO2 has been around for years and years and years.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: This is newer technology that allows us to safely treat a broader range of skin types and also achieve better results with less downtime.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: So CO2 lasers and cool peels are highly customizable, so we can go as light or as intense as a patient wants, depending on their skin goals and willingness for downtime.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: Really good for skin resurfacing, collagen stimulation, getting rid of unwanted pigment, whether it's from acne scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sunspots, it's really great at treating that.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: It's also really good at achieving a lifting and tightening of the tissue, depending on the intensity of the laser as well.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Who are the ideal candidates for this?
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: I think the better question to who's not an ideal candidate, I would say anyone with skin that has, again, concerns for any type of unwanted pigment, textural concerns, or wanting lifting tightening, or just an overall collagen-stimulating anti-aging treatment are really great candidates for a cool appeal or a deeper CO2 laser.
- 16:54SPEAKER_02: There are some considerations that we like to discuss in consultations, with the highest risk being for pigment for darker skin types.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: Okay, great.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I was gonna actually ask you about that.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Well, if you have melanin-rich skin, you want to definitely do a you know a deeper dive into understanding how this works.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: For the skin type, the more you have for the pigment.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: Um, so up to a certain degree, we can pretreat these darker skin types with a melanin suppressant, usually some sort of hydroquinone.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: We would follow post-treatment with those products well to decrease your risk for hyperpigmentation.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: What's the downtime like for treatment?
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: That really depends on the type of laser that you're getting.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: So our lighter lasers, which we call the cool peel, they're more superficial.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: You're gonna have about a day of swelling with some pink skin for maybe one to two days with potentially some residual for dry, flaky skin just from cellular turnover and healing.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: Then for our deeper lasers, we usually say it's about two to three days of, as Dr.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Allenby would say, not wanting to go to public.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: So you're gonna have some more intense swelling, you're gonna have some more intense redness, and then your skin's just gonna look icky for about those two to three days.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: We see a big turnaround in the swelling and the ickiness of the skin.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: On day three, that's really when you can cover things with makeup, go back out in public, and just continue your daily living activities.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, so it's not too bad.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: Gone are the days that we're wiping out people with downtime for seven to ten days.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: A lot of us just don't have that time anymore.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: But um, so in terms of like side effects, are there any side effects we should be aware of?
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: I would say the biggest ones are, of course, the redness and swelling.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: Big one again is hyperpigmentation, depending on the tone of the skin.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: Ones to consider are potentially if you're acne prone, you might potentially have some purging.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: If you are prone to cold sores, you might have some of those surfaced.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: So we like to pre-treat with Valtrex.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: It's generally a very safe treatment, well tolerated by all of our patients.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: Is there certain maintenance that you recommend right after getting the peel done?
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: Or I mean, how does that work?
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: So we like to tell our patients that your maintenance and aftercare for your laser actually starts before your treatment.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: So, really prepping the skin with something that's really hydrating.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: Uh, we love using plated intense because it's full of growth factors and exosomes just to prep the skin for in-office procedures.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: And we recommend proceeding to use this after the treatment because it helps expedite your healing process.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: It enhances your treatment results and it helps with extra collagen stimulation because that's what those growth factors and exosomes are really great at.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: We have tons of tools in office for recovery as well.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: Something else we really love is a CO2 afterkit by elastin.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: It comes with a gentle cleanser, sunscreen moisturizer, and elastin nectar just to keep the skin super moisturized while you're healing.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: I love elastin.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: It's like one of my favorites.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're amazing.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: So, in terms of the results, what can we realistically expect?
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: That's a good question.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: So, again, this is dependent on the type of laser you're getting.
- 19:49SPEAKER_02: Our light lasers, you can expect an immediate improvement in texture, complexion, and pigment pretty soon after you heal.
- 19:57SPEAKER_02: Our deeper lasers that require more downtime, again, you'll have a pretty immediate improvement in texture, pigment, and complexion.
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: But the tightening of the tissue really takes about six to eight weeks to begin to see, because it takes our body's time to stimulate collagen, um, with it taking up to three months to fully see the benefits of that lifting and tightening from that one laser.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's pretty solid though.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: I think when you're investing in anything that has to do with aesthetics, I mean you have to go for things that are going to last for a little bit.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: So I think that's important to understand.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: If you're tuning in and you're looking to get something new done, definitely, again, like Dr.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Allenby was saying, like you want to go to an actually trained dermatologist practice.
- 20:38SPEAKER_02: It's also really incredible because these types of lasers, there's studies that show that they have proven reduction of future skin cancers.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: That's huge.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: I I didn't know that.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Yes, that's really cool.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: It's a great treatment we like to incorporate into pretty much everyone's annual treatment plans.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you so much, Danny.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: That was really educational.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: I enjoyed learning about that.
