- 0:10Speaker 1: You know I'm a golf addict, right?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Something like that.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Something like that. So they call me Ben from Crenshaw.
- 0:18Speaker 1: So last week, they flew me and Matt Barnes out
- 0:22Speaker 1: to the PXG facilities, PXG golf clubs. They have this
- 0:26Speaker 1: huge facility in Scottsdale, Arizona.
- 0:28Speaker 2: That's big time. That's like where they do all the, like, Yes.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So we got fitted for the newest clubs. These clubs
- 0:36Speaker 1: ain't even out yet. You ain't got them and you
- 0:38Speaker 1: ain't got them and you ain't got them. But I
- 0:41Speaker 1: got them and Matt Barnes got them. So we went
- 0:43Speaker 1: out there. I'm on staff with PXG. And so we
- 0:47Speaker 1: got to see the new clubs and I hit them
- 0:51Speaker 1: just the same. They still go right and they still
- 0:54Speaker 1: go left, but they're new.
- 0:55Speaker 2: The tech is supposed to help improve the game.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Yes, yes. That's how they get you. Welcome to Get
- 0:59Speaker 1: to the Point with Chris Spencer and T.O. Terrell Owens.
- 1:03Speaker 1: And please share, like, and subscribe. And if you're watching
- 1:06Speaker 1: this right now, you're probably watching this at GTTP Pod
- 1:10Speaker 1: or if you're on YouTube.
- 1:11Speaker 2: GTTP Podcast. Yes.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We're killing. Yeah. It's so crazy.
- 1:16Speaker 2: GTTP Podcast.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It's so crazy seeing the people come up to me
- 1:21Speaker 1: and say they're watching the show.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Why is that crazy? It's not crazy for me because.
- 1:25Speaker 1: You're super famous.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I'm popular.
- 1:28Speaker 1: So- There's a difference.
- 1:30Speaker 2: There's a difference, yes.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I get it, I get it. What was it, game maker,
- 1:33Speaker 1: game changer?
- 1:34Speaker 2: Playmaker, game changer.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yes, I'm a playmaker.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Okay, I got you.
- 1:37Speaker 1: You've been a game changer, but I'm changing the game
- 1:39Speaker 1: in other ways. So they really love what I brought
- 1:42Speaker 1: out of you. I swear to God. People go, yo,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I didn't know T.O. was that funny. I said, yeah.
- 1:50Speaker 1: He said, you'd be setting him up. He good. I said, no.
- 1:53Speaker 1: He'd be setting me up, too. He says, no. He's
- 1:56Speaker 1: funny as fuck. I go, yeah, he's been funny. His storytelling,
- 2:01Speaker 1: he's like, you taught him a lot, huh? I said, no.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We ain't been working together for years.
- 2:05Speaker 2: He's like that. That's crazy. But I did bring it
- 2:07Speaker 2: out of him.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah. You know what I mean? Because it's like you
- 2:10Speaker 1: get on a team and.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Whatever works.
- 2:13Speaker 1: There's things that you probably don't... This team needs me
- 2:16Speaker 1: to shoot threes. This team needs me to rebound. I
- 2:19Speaker 1: needed you to be funny and you've been funny.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Hey, I'll take it. I mean, this is what the world...
- 2:25Speaker 2: just hasn't seen. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's been me
- 2:29Speaker 2: all along.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Of course.
- 2:30Speaker 2: But now we have, I even had somebody go, they.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Went back and watched your old reality show. Uh, they
- 2:35Speaker 1: was like, he wasn't like that on there. Dude, that
- 2:38Speaker 1: was so long ago.
- 2:40Speaker 2: And it depends on the content.
- 2:41Speaker 1: He was 12 years old. Right.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Nah, but it's, it's been enjoyable too. I mean, I've
- 2:46Speaker 2: been getting the same thing. They've been like, yo, we
- 2:49Speaker 2: are loving the show. Yeah. Um, What's surprising to people
- 2:53Speaker 2: is just it's me and you.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 2:55Speaker 2: They never saw it coming.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Ever, ever, ever saw it coming.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Never saw it coming.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. So.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Hey, so you guys keep. commenting. Tell us what you like,
- 3:05Speaker 2: what you don't like. Keep subscribing. Keep liking.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Keep sharing.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Keep commenting. All of that good stuff.
- 3:13Speaker 1: We need all of that. Tell us some of the
- 3:15Speaker 1: guests you want to see. Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And if you have some connections, because we don't know everybody.
- 3:19Speaker 2: We don't know everybody. If you have somebody that you got,
- 3:21Speaker 2: you know, you know somebody that knows somebody that can get.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If Lawrence Taylor's your uncle or Denzel's your cousin... Tell
- 3:27Speaker 1: us how we can find them. We want them on
- 3:28Speaker 1: the show.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Bring them on the show.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Wanda Sykes, whoever. Everybody. Barack, Michelle.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. You know what I mean?
- 3:35Speaker 1: All right, Till, let's get into some football. Yeah, let's
- 3:37Speaker 1: do it. You ready for some football? Let's talk about
- 3:40Speaker 1: these Saints and these Giants. 34-27. What happened to your boy? Jameis,
- 3:48Speaker 1: did you talk to Jameis?
- 3:48Speaker 2: What happened? I did. I gave him the accountability voice text.
- 3:54Speaker 2: He received it.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:56Speaker 2: And so... Yeah, I was expecting some big things.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Sure.
- 4:00Speaker 2: I didn't see the beginning of the game. And when
- 4:02Speaker 2: I did see the game, I was traveling. So on
- 4:05Speaker 2: my layover, obviously everybody's watching the bars. They're watching the games.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I'm catching. I'm about to go to the plane. I'm
- 4:13Speaker 2: about to catch my flight. And I'm seeing everybody watching.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Everybody's standing around. So it's the Giants and the Saints.
- 4:20Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh. So I'm looking. The score is 34-27,
- 4:23Speaker 2: like a couple drives to go. but I'm looking for Jameis.
- 4:28Speaker 2: There's no Jameis.
- 4:30Speaker 1: J.J.
- 4:30Speaker 2: McCarthy is in the game. So I'm texting people and
- 4:33Speaker 2: I'm like, what happened to Jameis?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah, he never got it going. So they said he
- 4:38Speaker 1: threw a pick and the coach pulled him. Well, it
- 4:41Speaker 1: wasn't just the pick. He was having a mediocre game.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And so they needed a new spark, if you will.
- 4:49Speaker 2: But I heard he threw a pick, they got him
- 4:52Speaker 2: out of there, and then they said the first drive,
- 4:56Speaker 2: For JJ, he goes in, I think one of the
- 4:58Speaker 2: first two passes, he throws a pick. So why didn't
- 5:00Speaker 2: they even put Jameis back in?
- 5:02Speaker 1: They put Eli Manning in.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Man, they should have put Eli back in.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Jameis was 14 for 26, 152 yards, two interceptions, one touchdown.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I didn't know about that. See, Jameis, I said no interceptions.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Jameis.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Right. And I think the coach watches the show.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Jameis.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Two interceptions to get you yanked, Terrell.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'm with you when you're right, but I ain't with
- 5:28Speaker 2: you when you throw interceptions. I didn't know that part.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Like I said, I was traveling. I didn't see the
- 5:33Speaker 2: beginning of the game. Right. But now that you put
- 5:35Speaker 2: it that way.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But still, 14 for 26, 152 yards. That's nothing to
- 5:41Speaker 2: sneeze at. But, yeah, the one touchdown and obviously the
- 5:44Speaker 2: two intercepts, yeah, that's. That can be costly.
- 5:47Speaker 1: And then they bring in J.J. McCarthy. Right.
- 5:49Speaker 2: And I saw him play. Actually, I was at the bar.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Within 11 minutes, he threw for 243 yards.
- 5:54Speaker 2: But when you're coming off the bench and you're kind
- 5:58Speaker 2: of chomping at the bench, you really have, at this point,
- 6:00Speaker 2: the game is already lost, so you have nothing to lose.
- 6:03Speaker 2: So you're really playing free. You're just really playing free ball.
- 6:07Speaker 1: No, it wasn't like there was a blowout.
- 6:11Speaker 2: But they were still competing. Right, but when you're behind,
- 6:14Speaker 2: like I said, there's... You already lose, so you have
- 6:16Speaker 2: nothing to lose. So when you go in there, you
- 6:18Speaker 2: play with a little less pressure. Okay. Play with a
- 6:23Speaker 2: lot less pressure. Okay. You're playing with less pressure.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But still, 11 minutes, 243 yards, nothing to sneeze at. No, no.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I'm totally with you with that.
- 6:32Speaker 1: That's like a super two-minute drill.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, time ran out. I saw the last
- 6:38Speaker 2: probably like a few minutes of that game. I mean,
- 6:42Speaker 2: I saw like a couple of drives like, Boom, hitting
- 6:45Speaker 2: lightly over the middle. Like, he was, man, he was
- 6:48Speaker 2: chopping them up.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah, he's very accurate.
- 6:50Speaker 2: But let's, I mean, again, let's see how J.J. McCarthy
- 6:54Speaker 2: does next week.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So wait, wait.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Let me ask you what's going to happen. But I
- 6:58Speaker 2: will say, Jameis, just like I told you, be ready.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Because you never know when your number is going to call.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Prepare like you've been preparing the last few weeks.
- 7:08Speaker 1: So you think they're going to start J.J. McCarthy next week?
- 7:10Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah. It's a cutthroat business.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Does Jameis deserve to be the starter? Absolutely. I mean,
- 7:21Speaker 2: the last, what, three games? Three and on until his last?
- 7:24Speaker 2: I mean, three, like one loss or whatever. But, again,
- 7:29Speaker 2: the same, if you think about it, what Jameis did
- 7:33Speaker 2: last week in the last, because he's had, in the last,
- 7:36Speaker 2: I guess, quarter of last week's game, Jameis threw for
- 7:41Speaker 2: three touchdowns. 200 and something yards. So it was really
- 7:46Speaker 2: just impressive as what J.J.
- 7:47Speaker 1: McCarthy did.
- 7:49Speaker 2: More impressive if you ask me. So that's what I'm saying.
- 7:51Speaker 2: It's not to say J.J. did something spectacular.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Texas Jaguars.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I picked this game. The Jaguars, I picked them to win.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yes, you did. Travis Hunter.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Again, I was traveling. I was getting texts. I was
- 8:07Speaker 2: getting alerts that my boy was balling. And I'm like, Oh,
- 8:13Speaker 2: what are you doing? They're like, yo, I'm thinking defense.
- 8:16Speaker 2: They're like, yo, your boy done scored an offensive touchdown,
- 8:20Speaker 2: and he done got a pick.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I'm like, yo.
- 8:23Speaker 2: So I'm like, I'm feeling pretty good coming in here
- 8:26Speaker 2: this way.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, yeah.
- 8:28Speaker 2: I ain't got to do no comedy sets, no skits,
- 8:31Speaker 2: no nothing. I'm like, my picks are secure. That's right.
- 8:33Speaker 1: If you guys remember, our bet was if he wasn't 500,
- 8:36Speaker 1: which we ain't finished yet. He is going to have
- 8:39Speaker 1: to show me the first couple minutes of his new
- 8:41Speaker 1: stand-up comedy routine.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I'm feeling really good about my picks after that. And
- 8:45Speaker 2: then I was like, okay. But then they end up
- 8:47Speaker 2: losing by it. I think four seconds left on a
- 8:50Speaker 2: walk-off field goal.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Man. But let's talk about Travis. But this is good.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But what did I say? I did say the Texans
- 8:59Speaker 2: need this game more than the Jaguars.
- 9:02Speaker 1: Can we talk about Travis Hunter for a second?
- 9:04Speaker 2: Yeah, let's talk about him.
- 9:05Speaker 1: It's ironic that... He's kind of becoming like the new
- 9:08Speaker 1: Dion and it's kind of where he came from.
- 9:11Speaker 2: What's ironic about it is that people say, oh, he's
- 9:14Speaker 2: not going to be able to do this at the
- 9:16Speaker 2: next level. He's not going to be able to do
- 9:17Speaker 2: what he did in college in the NFL.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I was talking to Anthony, our producer. He was saying
- 9:24Speaker 1: they were shooting a show with Dion when they were
- 9:25Speaker 1: at Jackson. And he says since he was a freshman,
- 9:28Speaker 1: he saw it in him.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Well, when you can convince a kid... To flip going
- 9:34Speaker 2: from a power, he was going to go to, where
- 9:38Speaker 2: was he going to go? He was going to go
- 9:39Speaker 2: to a major school and then go to Jackson State.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Go to Jackson State.
- 9:44Speaker 2: And really, Travis is like one of his sons, too.
- 9:46Speaker 2: So it's like Dion and my three sons. Dion and
- 9:51Speaker 2: my three sons. Because he literally, he calls him his son.
- 9:56Speaker 2: So it's like to see what he did. And that's
- 10:00Speaker 2: the thing with us. It's like if we have the
- 10:04Speaker 2: right people in our ear, because a lot of people
- 10:07Speaker 2: have the wrong people in their ear. But for Travis
- 10:11Speaker 2: to be receptive and to understand that Dion had his best,
- 10:15Speaker 2: number one, his best interest at heart. And be like, yo,
- 10:17Speaker 2: let me take you to where you need to go.
- 10:19Speaker 2: You stick with me, this is where you can go.
- 10:22Speaker 2: I don't know if Travis saw Heisman, but.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Dion possibly did.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah. So, yeah, it's the first player to do this,
- 10:30Speaker 2: to record an interception and a receiving touchdown.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Since who?
- 10:40Speaker 2: In a game. This was, like, since, what, 2002? The
- 10:44Speaker 2: last person to do that, I think, was my former teammates.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Brian Dawkins. He was an animal. Yeah?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Was he a better receiver?
- 10:53Speaker 2: No. No.
- 10:55Speaker 1: No.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Definitely a better defensive player than a receiver, for sure.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So Kansas City beat the Chargers. You picked that. Of course.
- 11:05Speaker 1: My grandmother picked them, too, and she don't even watch football.
- 11:08Speaker 2: This is a stat. This type of game is a
- 11:11Speaker 2: stat game. And then, too, coaches know going into the end,
- 11:14Speaker 2: especially you playing a team that's 0-4. they may be
- 11:19Speaker 2: tinkering with different plays. Right.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Trying stuff.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, just trying stuff.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Preparing for the playoffs.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. Seeing what works. Because, again, I know how
- 11:27Speaker 2: Andy Reid is. Games like this, he'll put in plays
- 11:32Speaker 2: just to see what he can do down the road,
- 11:34Speaker 2: what plays are going to work. If he has a
- 11:36Speaker 2: play that, you know, if he's going to play a
- 11:39Speaker 2: team in the playoffs, just say the Ravens or just
- 11:44Speaker 2: say the Buffalo Bills. they may just try different plays
- 11:50Speaker 2: just for dress rehearsal.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Just for down the road, just to see what works,
- 11:55Speaker 2: what coverage they may get, you know, who's who that's
- 11:58Speaker 2: what these types of games are. And obviously you want
- 12:00Speaker 2: to stay healthy. You want to come out healthy.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Mahomes looks 100% speaking of healthy. Yes.
- 12:05Speaker 2: He looks like he's Mahomes all, all the way back. Again,
- 12:10Speaker 2: you ask him, he's probably gonna say, no, I'm not
- 12:12Speaker 2: a hundred percent just yet. He's, Obviously, like I said,
- 12:16Speaker 2: using these games right here to get himself back in rhythm.
- 12:20Speaker 2: And the more that he's on his feet, can move
- 12:22Speaker 2: around and not get hit, take a lot of hits,
- 12:25Speaker 2: that's going to bode well for the team and then
- 12:28Speaker 2: obviously his mental.
- 12:30Speaker 1: The Chargers are 0-6.
- 12:32Speaker 2: They're 0-6.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Should Harbaugh be the first firee this season?
- 12:37Speaker 2: I don't know if it warrants firing because I don't
- 12:39Speaker 2: think the expectations weren't that great from the beginning. I mean, again,
- 12:45Speaker 2: they're 0-6. You never know. They could reel off about
- 12:48Speaker 2: six or seven, eight games. Right. It's been done before.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Do I see that happening? I don't know.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 12:53Speaker 2: It might be, I mean, Zachariah might come and give
- 12:56Speaker 2: them a speech or something. She might come around and
- 13:00Speaker 2: give them a team speech or something and turn the
- 13:02Speaker 2: season around.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Nice pep talk.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Right. But I.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I'm surprised nobody has said anything about him being on
- 13:10Speaker 2: the hot seat and firing except for, you know, you
- 13:13Speaker 2: just heard it right here on Get to the Point. But, yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 2: that's a good take. I don't know. Should he be fired?
- 13:20Speaker 2: I don't know because, honestly, I don't know. Internally, the owners,
- 13:26Speaker 2: they know what type of team that they have.
- 13:28Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 13:30Speaker 2: They're definitely not the best football L.A.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Team.
- 13:33Speaker 2: That's for sure.
- 13:34Speaker 1: They probably can't beat Crenshaw. You ain't lying.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Long Beach Poly. Shoot. They might even beat Huntington Beach
- 13:44Speaker 2: High School. Shout out to my boy Hatch doing great things.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Matthew Hatchet.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Doing great things at Huntington Beach High. But yeah, honestly,
- 13:52Speaker 2: like I said, at some point, if they go 0-10, 11,
- 13:56Speaker 2: I'm sure the question will come up, you know, is
- 13:59Speaker 2: he on the hot seat? And again, shit, next week, shit,
- 14:02Speaker 2: tomorrow he may be fired.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Who knows?
- 14:04Speaker 2: You may be, you know... be prophetic in here, just
- 14:08Speaker 2: foreseeing something that may be in the works right now. Okay.
- 14:12Speaker 2: He may be getting his walking papers, heavily speaking.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Walking down the street with Zachariah. Oh, let's talk about
- 14:18Speaker 1: your Bills.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Who my Bills play? I'm sure they won.
- 14:24Speaker 1: The Bills won.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, so I'm good. So I'm 2-1.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Josh Allen threw a pass. That's probably one of the
- 14:32Speaker 1: coldest passes I've ever seen. Oh, you saw it? He
- 14:36Speaker 1: was scrambling. He beat one defender. He kind of ran
- 14:40Speaker 1: to the right, and then it was five dudes coming
- 14:43Speaker 1: at him. He shook one, and I don't know if
- 14:46Speaker 1: it was a shuffle pass. He did some shit like,
- 14:48Speaker 1: it was like a no-look-like magic. Wham! Boom, touchdown. He's gifted.
- 14:54Speaker 2: So he did some Patrick Mahomes-esque type stuff.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yes, yes.
- 14:58Speaker 2: But I know that. I mean, he has the ability,
- 15:01Speaker 2: trust me. Yeah. Right now, he just needs to just...
- 15:07Speaker 2: Just bottle all of this, what he has right now,
- 15:10Speaker 2: and take it to the postseason and get the Bills back.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Get us back to the Super Bowl.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Packers beat your little Cowboys 23-13.
- 15:17Speaker 2: First off, they're not my Cowboys, bro.
- 15:20Speaker 1: You told me if you were to go back and
- 15:23Speaker 1: if there was a locker room I could go hang
- 15:25Speaker 1: out in, it would be the Dallas Cowboys locker room.
- 15:29Speaker 2: No.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Dak Prescott, how many lives does he have?
- 15:35Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 15:36Speaker 1: I mean, he's not winning.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I don't think it's his fault.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Well, usually they blame the quarterback.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I go a little further than that.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, I forgot your whole thing with them.
- 15:45Speaker 2: You need to start blaming Stephen Jones and Jerry Jones. Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 2: They're the ones that are making those decisions. Those are
- 15:54Speaker 2: the guys that are shelling out $ 100 million receivers that
- 15:58Speaker 2: are not putting up $ 100 million production. So that's that.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I already told you about playmaking and game-changing. That's where
- 16:11Speaker 2: all of that comes into play. Bro, you got to
- 16:15Speaker 2: have some playmakers. You got to have some game-changing. And
- 16:18Speaker 2: then I don't know who the offensive coordinator is, but
- 16:21Speaker 2: you got to call some explosive plays. But in order
- 16:24Speaker 2: to have explosive plays, you got to have explosive players. Again,
- 16:28Speaker 2: I don't think– I don't know. Running back-wise, like there's–
- 16:31Speaker 2: like the running backs that are around the league, top
- 16:34Speaker 2: running backs, you hear about the– the Derrick Henrys, the
- 16:39Speaker 2: Kenneth Walkers. Typically, Dallas Cowboys are known for good running backs,
- 16:46Speaker 2: offensive line, and you've got some playmakers at receivers, game changers.
- 16:50Speaker 2: That's not happening. So, again, I already said it starts
- 16:54Speaker 2: from the top down. At some point, like, yeah, you're
- 16:57Speaker 2: paying all these guys money, but then, again, everybody that's
- 17:00Speaker 2: calling the plays, they're making money too. So the offensive coordinator,
- 17:03Speaker 2: they've got to put these players that they have in
- 17:06Speaker 2: positions to win. according to what their abilities are. If not,
- 17:10Speaker 2: go out there and what's it? It looks good to
- 17:14Speaker 2: go pay $ 200 million receivers, but they're not putting up
- 17:18Speaker 2: that type of production. Same with the quarterback. He's a
- 17:22Speaker 2: $ 200 million quarterback. Not putting up the type of production
- 17:27Speaker 2: that America's team.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:31Speaker 2: So other than that, bro, that's that. I'm not going
- 17:34Speaker 2: to put that. And I'm not, like I said, I'm
- 17:36Speaker 2: not going to put all the The weight on deck.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I mean, you get what you pay for.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Your little Eagles lost.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Why do you keep talking about my little Eagles, bro?
- 17:44Speaker 1: Your little Eagles, your little Cowboys, your little Bills.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Well, first of all.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Loss of the Panthers.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts didn't play. I already said the Panthers was
- 17:55Speaker 2: going to win because Bryce has been playing lights out.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 2: So my record is getting better. Like my picks are
- 18:02Speaker 2: nice this week. I don't know what y'all talking about.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Of course, you got a little win. Your little Niners
- 18:09Speaker 1: beat the Commanders. Oh, poor little Commanders. That was an
- 18:13Speaker 1: easy one for you, and it's going to help you
- 18:14Speaker 1: with your little record next week. That's good.
- 18:18Speaker 2: The Niner gang, hey, look, they balling. Trust me, the
- 18:21Speaker 2: Bay Area, they.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yeah, because listen, had they lost, I was going to
- 18:27Speaker 1: have you wear that helmet right there.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 18:31Speaker 1: It was going to be like a little San Francisco yarmulke.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Don't talk. You're going to hurt yourself. I like it.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Let's get it, Chris. You know what it is. Uh-oh.
- 18:46Speaker 2: You already know. Everybody, this is T.O. 's Popcorn Power Five,
- 18:51Speaker 2: and this is for the guys that popped off this weekend.
- 18:53Speaker 1: It was a tough-ass week. I don't know how you
- 18:54Speaker 1: got down to five, but I'm dying to hear it.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Hey, I got to talk about the NFL popping off
- 18:58Speaker 2: because My college team didn't pop off this weekend. There's
- 19:01Speaker 2: a lot of them that didn't pop off.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Mine did.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Woo. It was a lot of upsets.
- 19:06Speaker 1: It was a lot of. 6-0. Hey.
- 19:08Speaker 2: They are balling too. Balling. Are they in the top?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Are they? Yeah, I think they're number eight. Yeah, they
- 19:14Speaker 1: moved up.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Talk about popping off. Don't put us up
- 19:17Speaker 2: too far.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Let us stay right in there and figure it out.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Yeah. You're doing, y'all, you guys are doing well.
- 19:22Speaker 1: All it takes is a coach.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Man, right? Quarterback got hurt too, and we still playing well.
- 19:27Speaker 2: But let's get back to T.O. 's popcorn power five. Hey, man,
- 19:30Speaker 2: I got some guys.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Talk to me. Who is number five?
- 19:33Speaker 2: Number five, my guy Bryce Young.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I like his stats only for one reason. Mm-hmm. It's
- 19:41Speaker 2: an 81 in there somewhere.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 19:43Speaker 2: This guy went 18 for 39. Okay. 281 yards. Okey dokey.
- 19:50Speaker 2: touchdowns and no interceptions. With a dub.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Number five.
- 19:54Speaker 2: They balling.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Okay, that's number five.
- 19:55Speaker 2: They balling.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Who is number four?
- 19:58Speaker 2: Number four is... Drake May, man, they starting to come along, bro. Yes,
- 20:04Speaker 2: they are. 18 for 32, 235 yards, and three touchdowns. Balling.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Drake May. Man, they done put that Vrabel-Rusini scandal behind.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Them, bro.
- 20:17Speaker 2: It's been gone now. I mean, boy, they looking forward.
- 20:24Speaker 2: They done put everything in the rearview mirror, but that
- 20:26Speaker 2: was impressive, though. I mean- Again, 18 for 32, 235 yards,
- 20:30Speaker 2: three touchdowns with the win. That's awesome. Number three.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Tres.
- 20:36Speaker 2: You know the Chiefs. I told you this is like
- 20:38Speaker 2: a stat game for the Chiefs.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Right.
- 20:40Speaker 2: And for a running back, I like these type of
- 20:42Speaker 2: games too because you go out and you win early,
- 20:45Speaker 2: put the game away. Running backs, you know, everybody kind
- 20:48Speaker 2: of take– this is kind of like a stat game
- 20:49Speaker 2: but a rest game too so you don't have to
- 20:51Speaker 2: beat your guys up.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Get the dub.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Get off the field. Let some other young guys play.
- 20:57Speaker 2: But this guy put in some work before he got
- 20:59Speaker 2: off the field. 19 carries, 128 yards, two touchdowns, and
- 21:04Speaker 2: I'll add 11 yards receiving.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Say his name, say his name.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Kenneth Walker. Super Bowl MVP, Kenneth Walker.
- 21:15Speaker 1: The third. Number two. This boy right here.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Hey, it was only a matter of time. And this
- 21:23Speaker 2: is for all you pundits out there. You idiots out there.
- 21:26Speaker 2: that said that there's no way this guy can do
- 21:31Speaker 2: this in the pros what he did in the college.
- 21:34Speaker 2: That means playing both ways. This guy did it at
- 21:37Speaker 2: University of Colorado Buffaloes, Travis Hunter. He did it in college,
- 21:41Speaker 2: and now he's found his footing. This dude is finding
- 21:45Speaker 2: his way, getting familiar with the speed of the game,
- 21:49Speaker 2: doing what Deion and I thought he was going to do,
- 21:52Speaker 2: ball out. You ball, hey, you're going to get the call.
- 21:56Speaker 2: But it's not that type of show.
- 21:57Speaker 1: So what did he do to get number two?
- 21:59Speaker 2: Four catches, 59 yards, and a touchdown, and an INT. Right.
- 22:05Speaker 1: And like you said earlier, nobody's done that since 2002.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Nobody's done this since 2002. The last person to do
- 22:10Speaker 2: that was my former teammates with the Philadelphia Eagles, Brian Dawkins.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Wow.
- 22:16Speaker 2: But guess what? This may not be the last time
- 22:19Speaker 2: that you hear of this guy doing it because he
- 22:22Speaker 2: has the potential and ability to do it.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Do it again.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh, yeah. He might break his own record.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Quien es numero uno?
- 22:30Speaker 2: Number one. This guy right here, all I can probably,
- 22:36Speaker 2: all I can just, I can just say this phrase
- 22:38Speaker 2: right here. What hamstring? Right. What hamstring? I mean, we
- 22:44Speaker 2: saw him get hurt about four weeks ago. You would
- 22:46Speaker 2: have thought this dude was done for this thing. You
- 22:48Speaker 2: would have thought somebody was in the 500 section, sniped him.
- 22:53Speaker 2: The way he felt out.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he felt like Morris and Boys in the Hood. Ricky!
- 22:59Speaker 2: Man, got carted off to the locker room. Honestly, again,
- 23:02Speaker 2: I mean, it was a big scare. I mean, the
- 23:06Speaker 2: stadium got quiet. Everybody thought their season was doomed.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Yeah, the way he made it look.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Right. But then you have quarterback play from three backups
- 23:16Speaker 2: to come in and shore things up until he got healthy.
- 23:19Speaker 2: And this dude, right, he made– No doubt he made
- 23:23Speaker 2: it clear that I am back. Caleb Williams, 30 for 36,
- 23:30Speaker 2: 305 yards, one touchdown. Coming back? It was like he
- 23:37Speaker 2: never left. And that's your Popcorn Power Five. Let me
- 23:41Speaker 2: tell you something. Y'all know what it is. Get to
- 23:44Speaker 2: the point. That's how we do it. Football has a
- 23:48Speaker 2: way of turning one game into a full week of conversation.
- 23:51Speaker 2: and DraftKings keeps you close to all of it. The
- 23:54Speaker 2: DraftKings Sports app is now live in all 50 states.
- 23:58Speaker 2: That means from Texas to California to Florida, every fan
- 24:02Speaker 2: is in on the excitement. Follow the teams you love,
- 24:05Speaker 2: keep up with the biggest games, and experience the excitement
- 24:08Speaker 2: of football all week long. No matter which games you're watching,
- 24:12Speaker 2: You're always connected with 1L.
- 24:14Speaker 1: It's time for Get to the Picks. Now, since we've
- 24:16Speaker 1: been doing this, you're 6'9.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I mean, for some people, 6'9 is great.
- 24:21Speaker 1: If it's your height.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. If I was 6'9, I wouldn't even
- 24:26Speaker 2: be sitting here.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Packers, Lions.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Packers, Lions?
- 24:29Speaker 1: Packers, Lions. Who you got?
- 24:32Speaker 2: I'm going to roll the dice. I'm going to go
- 24:34Speaker 2: with the Pack. And Jordan Love, I trust. You know what?
- 24:40Speaker 2: I'm going to switch it. I'm going to go Lions.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:44Speaker 2: This is a game that has a lot riding on it.
- 24:47Speaker 2: This is a conference game.
- 24:49Speaker 1: NFC North.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It could be a decision decider of who's coming out
- 24:56Speaker 2: of the North. I think I'm going with the Lions.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I feel like obviously with Amon St. Rod, the receiver,
- 25:05Speaker 2: you got Jameer Gibbs, Jared Goff. they're due for a
- 25:09Speaker 2: good game. I don't know if this is– this seems
- 25:13Speaker 2: like a Sunday night matchup. I know it's not, but
- 25:16Speaker 2: this could be a really good game.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Okay. So we got Cleveland versus Tennessee. Yeah.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Tennessee Titans are– They're 4-2. Browns are 4-2. Deshaun Watson,
- 25:27Speaker 2: he's playing well. This is– I mean, if I was betting,
- 25:31Speaker 2: I would be doing really good just off the Cleveland
- 25:34Speaker 2: Browns alone.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yes, yes. You doing good?
- 25:37Speaker 2: Yes.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Ever since?
- 25:39Speaker 2: I mean, I'm telling you.
- 25:40Speaker 1: You're Deshaun's biggest fan, for sure.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been his biggest fan. And mainly because I
- 25:47Speaker 2: know everybody deserves second and third chances. He's obviously been
- 25:51Speaker 2: given that. Probably more so. If he didn't have that
- 25:54Speaker 2: $ 230 million price tag on him, he would have already
- 25:56Speaker 2: been gone. Done.
- 25:57Speaker 1: But.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Because of that, it's afforded him.
- 26:04Speaker 1: You've got to have some faith in your investment. Yeah, exactly.
- 26:07Speaker 2: So that's afforded him the opportunity to stay around a
- 26:10Speaker 2: little bit longer. Obviously, he's gotten healthier over the last
- 26:12Speaker 2: couple of years. And I already said, coming off an
- 26:15Speaker 2: Achilles injury, typically it takes about at least two years.
- 26:19Speaker 2: You think about KD, what he did. Coming out, he
- 26:22Speaker 2: took some extra time, didn't rush it back. Deshaun had
- 26:26Speaker 2: a setback, but then, like I said, other issues. But
- 26:28Speaker 2: he's playing well. The fan base had written this guy off.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Winning cures everything.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Every time.
- 26:37Speaker 2: So I'm going with Deshaun Watson, Cam Ward of Tennessee Titans.
- 26:41Speaker 2: He's going through the blues right now. Yeah, he is. Again,
- 26:45Speaker 2: it's tough not having really the right nucleus of guys
- 26:51Speaker 2: around you to really win some good football games. And
- 26:54Speaker 2: I think now when you have guys that are winners,
- 26:58Speaker 2: that come from winning programs and then You step into
- 27:00Speaker 2: a situation where you're used to winning. I'm sure it's
- 27:04Speaker 2: probably weighing on them a little bit mentally. But I'm
- 27:09Speaker 2: going with the Browns over the Titans.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Cowboys, Eagles. You played for both of them. You like
- 27:15Speaker 1: both locker rooms apparently now before it was just one.
- 27:19Speaker 2: This game right here, I'm torn because I know, too,
- 27:23Speaker 2: Jalen Hurts, he's out. And honestly, I blame this on
- 27:26Speaker 2: the schedule because I think when you talk about blood clots.
- 27:30Speaker 2: They said it was superficial, whatever that means. I think
- 27:35Speaker 2: the traveling to, what is it, London, I think they
- 27:38Speaker 2: went to, and then they had to come back. Honestly,
- 27:42Speaker 2: to be honest, Jalen may have some sort of grievance
- 27:46Speaker 2: to file because they're not allowed enough rest, adequate rest,
- 27:53Speaker 2: especially when you're flying across the country, like out of
- 27:57Speaker 2: the country. Right. A blood clot is serious. So to me,
- 28:03Speaker 2: that says he had some sort of trauma that was unknown,
- 28:07Speaker 2: and then he got on a flight.
- 28:10Speaker 1: But he had professionals to clear him.
- 28:12Speaker 2: But that's what I'm saying. You're not following me. If
- 28:16Speaker 2: he's played a football game, and it's superficial, and you
- 28:20Speaker 2: don't know you're injured, versus if you're stateside, Your body's
- 28:25Speaker 2: going to have time to acclimate, but that's my take
- 28:27Speaker 2: on that. So I'm going to go with the Cowboys
- 28:29Speaker 2: on that. No Jalen Hurts. I'm forced to pick the Cowboys.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Next up, Niners, Falcons. This is easy for you.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Niners all day. Easy, easy work. Easy work. They got
- 28:42Speaker 2: a carousel of quarterbacks over there with the Falcons. I
- 28:47Speaker 2: don't know what tool we might see. Michael Penance, I mean,
- 28:51Speaker 2: I thought he had– Had a resurgence. I thought he was,
- 28:55Speaker 2: you know, good to go. Came out of his first game,
- 29:00Speaker 2: throwing that thing, spinning that thing around. They won. Then
- 29:04Speaker 2: he just took a nosedive, I mean. And then Tua
- 29:07Speaker 2: came in a couple weeks ago and came in and relieved.
- 29:11Speaker 2: And the second pass, he threw a pick to seal
- 29:14Speaker 2: the game for them. So, yeah, Niner gang, bang, bang,
- 29:20Speaker 2: Niner gang all day.
- 29:21Speaker 1: This is another easy one. Chiefs, Seahawks.
- 29:25Speaker 2: I'm not going to say it's an easy one. This
- 29:27Speaker 2: is going to be a pretty good game right here.
- 29:30Speaker 1: All right.
- 29:31Speaker 2: They're playing against a healthy Patrick Mahomes. I'm riding with
- 29:36Speaker 2: the Chiefs on this one. I think this is another
- 29:39Speaker 2: team that goes into week seven undefeated.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Next pick, New England Patriots, Chicago Bears.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Oh, so this is Drake May?
- 29:46Speaker 1: The Bears.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Drake May and Caleb Williams.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. Brothers.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Drake May's playing well. The Patriots are playing well. But
- 29:56Speaker 2: Caleb came back like, I ain't going nowhere. I'm back
- 30:00Speaker 2: and I'm here to stay. I'm going to go with
- 30:03Speaker 2: Caleb Williams. I think Mojo Brooks would like that. Mojo,
- 30:07Speaker 2: I know you're probably watching the show. If you're not,
- 30:09Speaker 2: somebody tell you. I'm going to ride with your Bears
- 30:13Speaker 2: this week.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Buddy Lewis, your Bears.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, those are TO's top picks. Yeah.
- 30:21Speaker 2: One app, every sport, all 50 states. New DraftKings customers,

- 30:42Speaker 3: We'll be right back. So listen, man, it's been a
- 31:05Speaker 3: hell of a week. I know we have an order,
- 31:06Speaker 3: but we got to talk about.
- 31:34Speaker 1: These celebrity boxing matches and MMA fights.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Like, they're entertaining and awful at the same time. Okay.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I don't know if you just saw Michael Beasley and
- 31:51Speaker 1: Delonte West.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I thought it was a parody, to be honest. I
- 31:56Speaker 2: didn't know it was really real. I heard something about it, like, ah. Yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 2: But it was really a thing.
- 32:02Speaker 1: You should have saw them. It looked like two naked
- 32:04Speaker 1: Dobermans fighting, right? Because they both red. They both had
- 32:11Speaker 1: freckles and they both had braids. It looked like Michael
- 32:13Speaker 1: Beasley was beating up his mini-me.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Hey, they literally was trying to knock the freckles off
- 32:18Speaker 2: each other.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yes! They literally was trying to knock the freckles off
- 32:21Speaker 1: each other.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Who can knock the freckles off the first? Off the
- 32:27Speaker 2: fastest and first, bro.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I was like, yo, what is this? It's crazy. And
- 32:33Speaker 1: here's a bad joke.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Ready?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Michael Beasley cracked him.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 32:38Speaker 1: I shouldn't have said this. That's nice. That's nice. That's nice.
- 32:41Speaker 1: It was a press conference after. You saw that?
- 32:44Speaker 2: I haven't seen all of it. No. Well, yeah, I
- 32:46Speaker 2: saw some. Yeah, because I think one of the guys
- 32:48Speaker 2: asked him about his relationship with LeBron's mother. Yeah. I
- 32:53Speaker 2: didn't see the entirety, but I saw that clip.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 2: And he said, a gentleman never tells.
- 32:58Speaker 1: That's good. That's respectful.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 2: But he said respect without saying a lot.
- 33:03Speaker 1: It wasn't respectful.
- 33:04Speaker 2: He said, dude, that was crazy.
- 33:08Speaker 1: But listen, it's giving him some money.
- 33:11Speaker 2: This dude has the quickest comeback, fastest comeback than anybody
- 33:17Speaker 2: in the world. Right?
- 33:19Speaker 1: You go from the streets to the bank.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I'm talking about a bounce back. You're talking about a
- 33:22Speaker 2: bounce back. Yo.
- 33:24Speaker 1: He got new teeth. You see his teeth?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Boy, he got new everything.
- 33:27Speaker 1: New wife.
- 33:28Speaker 2: He got a new girlfriend, new wife.
- 33:29Speaker 1: She fine, too. I think he used to date her before.
- 33:32Speaker 2: And I've seen the comments. My thing is, and it's valid.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Everybody was in the comments like, where was she? months,
- 33:39Speaker 2: like a year ago, months ago when he was on
- 33:41Speaker 2: the street, like homeless. Right. And what made him now, like,
- 33:45Speaker 2: I know he's smart to figure out, okay, well, where
- 33:47Speaker 2: was she then when I was down on my luck
- 33:50Speaker 2: and I didn't have no, I barely had a phone.
- 33:53Speaker 2: And now he has all these business opportunities. He done
- 33:56Speaker 2: went and bought a $ 100, 000 car, new teeth. He got
- 33:59Speaker 2: new look, new everything.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Like, new everything.
- 34:02Speaker 2: And now he got like a whole new wife. Right.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Well, listen, she probably was around, but was probably waiting
- 34:08Speaker 1: for him to clean up. I love, here's what's so
- 34:12Speaker 1: great about his new teeth, he shows them all the time.
- 34:15Speaker 2: But it seems like they're too big.
- 34:16Speaker 1: For his mouth. Yeah, he didn't even use a mouthpiece
- 34:18Speaker 1: in the fight.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Bro.
- 34:21Speaker 1: I was like, ding, ding. You want this? No, I'm good.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I mean, is there any way to kind of go
- 34:26Speaker 2: get them downsized? You know how like women go.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Get their breasts? You know what? Those teeth could be
- 34:33Speaker 1: the tester's teeth. Sometimes they give you some teeth before
- 34:37Speaker 1: your real teeth are ready. Oh, really?
- 34:39Speaker 2: I didn't know that.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. They give you a test set.
- 34:42Speaker 2: A set?
- 34:42Speaker 1: Oh, man, I didn't know that.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the pilot.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Yeah, he needs to get a teeth. His teeth ain't
- 34:47Speaker 1: on the series yet.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah, he needs to get a teeth reduction because they're
- 34:50Speaker 2: like almost too big for his mouth that he has
- 34:53Speaker 2: a list.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Remember the mask with Jim Carrey? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Do you think this whole boxing thing is becoming a thing,
- 35:01Speaker 2: a fad, a trend?
- 35:02Speaker 1: I think it's a way for these retired athletes to
- 35:04Speaker 1: get a check.
- 35:06Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Well, it depends on how
- 35:08Speaker 2: big the check is. I know Chad did it. I
- 35:10Speaker 2: saw one. Who did Chad fight? He fought this guy,
- 35:13Speaker 2: Brian Maxwell. He was a real fighter. No, he was
- 35:15Speaker 2: a sanctioned fighter. I actually went to that.
- 35:18Speaker 1: It was in Miami.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I actually went to it. I went. I actually. Because
- 35:23Speaker 2: I didn't know, like, this was a real deal. Like,
- 35:26Speaker 2: when you go in that boxing ring, bro, this ain't
- 35:27Speaker 2: nothing to be playing around with. And I knew, like
- 35:29Speaker 2: I said, I knew he was fighting a real fighter,
- 35:31Speaker 2: like a sanctioned guy. So I went. in the locker
- 35:34Speaker 2: room before the fight like just to kind of like
- 35:37Speaker 2: you know just give him some support and I didn't
- 35:39Speaker 2: want to be all like you know because anytime we
- 35:41Speaker 2: see each other he always jumping in my lap like
- 35:43Speaker 2: he's three years old but I wanted to give him
- 35:46Speaker 2: respect because that's serious when you go in that ring
- 35:49Speaker 2: bro I'm telling you go in that ring you better
- 35:53Speaker 2: know what you're doing so he must have had some
- 35:55Speaker 2: boxing experience no no he's been training like was he
- 35:57Speaker 2: a golden gloves kid or did he just start training
- 35:59Speaker 2: as an adult no I think he just started training
- 36:01Speaker 2: like over the years just a lot of you know
- 36:03Speaker 2: a lot of Football players, they do a lot of
- 36:05Speaker 2: boxing training just for cardio and things of that nature.
- 36:08Speaker 1: That's different than a fight, though.
- 36:09Speaker 2: In the offseason. But, yeah, but you get the techniques.
- 36:12Speaker 2: I just did it last year, too. Mark Owens boxing
- 36:18Speaker 2: in Houston. I went to his facility. He was like, yo,
- 36:21Speaker 2: come get a couple of sessions. And I'm like, nah,
- 36:23Speaker 2: I don't want to do that. But I actually did it. Right.
- 36:25Speaker 2: It was actually good. Did you spar? No, I didn't
- 36:28Speaker 2: do no sparring.
- 36:29Speaker 1: So that's a whole different animal.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But you got to get
- 36:31Speaker 2: the basics down first before you get in there and
- 36:33Speaker 2: start trying to do something. You don't know what you're
- 36:35Speaker 2: going to do. You get that chin tapped, you're going
- 36:38Speaker 2: to be asleep. But, yeah, I mean, there's a number
- 36:41Speaker 2: of people getting in the ring over the years. Le'Veon Bell.
- 36:49Speaker 2: What's the running back? Frank Gore. I saw him fight.
- 36:55Speaker 2: That was rough.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Oh, I'm going to tell you the worst one ever.
- 36:58Speaker 2: It was rough.
- 36:58Speaker 1: And it's my boy.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Darren Williams, the basketball player, Darren Williams, and I think
- 37:04Speaker 2: it was Darren Williams and Frank Gore, I think they fought.
- 37:06Speaker 1: You know who got the worst knockout this week? Katie Zachariah. Oh,
- 37:12Speaker 1: my God. Yes. Slam the child on the hard concrete. No.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Slam the child on the hard concrete. Five days?
- 37:22Speaker 2: I mean, the concrete didn't even get time to dry.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And she was up out of there talking about concrete.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Did you see her first press conference?
- 37:33Speaker 2: I saw her first and last press conference.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Grand opening, grand closing. Where did you find her?
- 37:38Speaker 2: No, that was terrible. Like she couldn't even, she couldn't
- 37:42Speaker 2: even hold a seat here on this show.
- 37:44Speaker 1: No, no, no. And then to lie about being an attorney?
- 37:49Speaker 2: But you know, that's what a lot of people of
- 37:52Speaker 2: their color, that's what they do.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Explain. What do you mean by that?
- 37:56Speaker 2: Well, they actually, they get advances because of, honestly, and I, even,
- 38:01Speaker 2: not even just her, but even when people go to
- 38:05Speaker 2: college and then they're trying to get jobs, based on
- 38:09Speaker 2: what they went to school for they go to school
- 38:13Speaker 2: four or five years and especially lawyers they go to
- 38:15Speaker 2: school eight years and then they try to find a
- 38:17Speaker 2: job in their profession it's not even sometimes it's not
- 38:20Speaker 2: what you know it's who you know right and clearly
- 38:22Speaker 2: this was a situation it was who she knew.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Right or blue no let's not say that she was
- 38:30Speaker 1: in china she said They're like, so where'd you go?
- 38:33Speaker 2: She can barely speak English. She can barely speak English.
- 38:37Speaker 1: So maybe she did come from China.
- 38:39Speaker 2: And she barely can read.
- 38:40Speaker 1: And they always look like that. That's his type.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 38:44Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 38:45Speaker 2: So you know what that was.
- 38:46Speaker 1: So Caroline Leavitt left to go spend time with her family.
- 38:50Speaker 1: And so.
- 38:50Speaker 2: How you just leave in the middle of your job?
- 38:53Speaker 1: She didn't want to be there.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Like. Like, you just took a vacation?
- 38:58Speaker 1: No, she didn't want to be there. She sees what's
- 39:00Speaker 1: about to happen to this whole administration.
- 39:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's the writing on the wall. And
- 39:04Speaker 2: I think he sees it, too. That's why he's doing
- 39:06Speaker 2: a lot of disrupting, doing a lot of things as
- 39:10Speaker 2: this midterms is approaching. Like, very uncharacteristic. And there are
- 39:14Speaker 2: some people that have been very uncharacteristic just popping up
- 39:19Speaker 2: in his presence, which... Floyd Mayweather, you.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Had Mike Tyson.
- 39:26Speaker 2: A year ago you had Lawrence Taylor, we already know
- 39:29Speaker 2: about Herschel Walker. Now we have Todd Gurley. Bro, that
- 39:37Speaker 2: stumped me right there.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Right. Well, he went to Georgia, and that's where he
- 39:44Speaker 1: took him back there. Yeah.
- 39:46Speaker 2: I guess to get some Georgia votes. Right, but out
- 39:48Speaker 2: of all people.
- 39:49Speaker 1: We already used Herschel. Herschel went to Georgia.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Why is it Georgia running back? He must have a
- 39:55Speaker 2: thing for Georgia running backs or something.
- 39:57Speaker 1: He has a thing for using us.
- 40:00Speaker 2: But why can't we see that?
- 40:03Speaker 1: We see it.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But they don't see it. But, yeah, I don't understand.
- 40:06Speaker 1: I think some of them, like I think of Mike Tyson,
- 40:08Speaker 1: probably used to party with him in the 90s, and
- 40:10Speaker 1: that's his real friend.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Maybe. Maybe. Right? Yeah. Tyson must be still punch drunk
- 40:15Speaker 2: or something.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 40:17Speaker 2: And you would think that with the issues and things
- 40:20Speaker 2: that he's had.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Right.
- 40:22Speaker 2: You would think he would make better decisions.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Like his team of people would have him making better decisions.
- 40:27Speaker 2: This is not a good decision.
- 40:29Speaker 1: No. I don't.
- 40:31Speaker 2: What benefit? What is the benefit?
- 40:34Speaker 1: I have no idea. But I know he keeps using it.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I don't ever see no white celebrities with him.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Nobody.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Nobody.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Cardi. Not Cardi B. Nicki Minaj. Like, why us? Trump
- 40:45Speaker 2: is dumb and smart at the same time. And we're dumb,
- 40:48Speaker 2: not gonna say we, but some of us are just
- 40:50Speaker 2: dumb enough to fall for it.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Like I told you before, I think he might have
- 40:55Speaker 1: something on people.
- 40:57Speaker 2: He shouldn't have anything on Todd Gurley. Todd Gurley is a, honestly,
- 41:02Speaker 2: I've known Todd for a short period of time and
- 41:06Speaker 2: I've been around him. I honestly, this just took, bro,
- 41:10Speaker 2: this just took me off guard. Right. Like he's a
- 41:13Speaker 2: very reserved, quiet individual. Obviously, hell of a running back
- 41:17Speaker 2: at Georgia. Obviously, career got shortened in the league with
- 41:22Speaker 2: a couple of knee injuries. But then he just pops
- 41:25Speaker 2: up out of nowhere and does this?
- 41:29Speaker 1: Maybe Trump told him he has this new knee surgery
- 41:31Speaker 1: I can hook you up with if you come to
- 41:33Speaker 1: Georgia with me.
- 41:33Speaker 2: This is a head scratcher for me.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Ty, come on the show and let us know what's
- 41:37Speaker 1: going on.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Because we need we need you right here to
- 41:41Speaker 2: explain to us the people. I definitely have some questions. Yeah,
- 41:46Speaker 2: I definitely have some questions.
- 41:47Speaker 1: You know, I've got some explaining to do. Amari Stoudemire.
- 41:50Speaker 2: What is he doing?
- 41:51Speaker 1: Went in this ten and a half month training with
- 41:53Speaker 1: the Miami-Dade police to become a police officer. So like Shaq,
- 42:02Speaker 1: I think he comes from a family of law enforcement.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And he's wanted to be a cop since he was
- 42:07Speaker 1: a kid. I think his dad is a cop. His
- 42:09Speaker 1: uncle was a cop. And so this is what he
- 42:11Speaker 1: wants to do now.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Why everybody's trying to be cops now?
- 42:15Speaker 1: I just can't imagine this 6'10 dude pulling me over.
- 42:17Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 42:19Speaker 2: I mean, if they're going to enter into law enforcement
- 42:25Speaker 2: to make a difference, I'm all for it. But I'm
- 42:30Speaker 2: hoping this is not like some dog and pony show.
- 42:34Speaker 1: No, no. I think he comes from a long line
- 42:36Speaker 1: of policemen in his family.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Well, so does Shaq. Allegedly. Right. Allegedly. No, no.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I know Shaq does for real. But what I think
- 42:45Speaker 1: it is is they're bored.
- 42:48Speaker 2: But I mean, there's a lot of things you can
- 42:50Speaker 2: do because you're bored. Yeah.
- 42:52Speaker 1: What else?
- 42:53Speaker 2: They can golf with you.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Go to Scottsdale.
- 42:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Scottsdale and pick up golf.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but you can't get a check.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Yeah, you can if you're good enough. I can't imagine
- 43:03Speaker 2: law enforcement paying enough money to satisfy these guys. I mean, again,
- 43:08Speaker 2: no knock on Shaq, but again, if this is a
- 43:10Speaker 2: situation where, again, even with the whole FBI, you know.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Getting the medal.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Yeah, honor badge or whatever. Even with that, if you're
- 43:21Speaker 2: doing it to make a difference, I.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Applaud.
- 43:25Speaker 2: I'm with that. Right. But if it's just to get attention.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Like what sense does that make? Like we talked about
- 43:32Speaker 2: the Shaq thing. For me, it's the timing. Like what
- 43:35Speaker 2: is that going to serve you at this point in
- 43:36Speaker 2: time for everybody to see you go on the stage
- 43:39Speaker 2: and get an honorary badge? Like if you're not going
- 43:43Speaker 2: to use, I guess, the powers that come with being
- 43:46Speaker 2: an FBI to make some change, understanding the scope of
- 43:49Speaker 2: what we're dealing with in the world, then what's the
- 43:52Speaker 2: point of doing it? That's my thing. For that honorary badge-
- 43:57Speaker 2: We've talked about it. I mean, this whole Nolan Wells
- 44:01Speaker 2: thing is taking on a thing of its own. And
- 44:06Speaker 2: I only say that, and I know we may be
- 44:08Speaker 2: off a little script a little bit, but I only
- 44:10Speaker 2: say that with Shaq because I know his three sons.
- 44:13Speaker 2: And this is not to exclude his daughters, but he
- 44:17Speaker 2: has three sons. When it comes to Nolan Wells, this
- 44:20Speaker 2: was an 18-year-old kid. I know his three sons, Miles, Shakur, Sharif.
- 44:28Speaker 2: I'm only thinking, what if that would have been one
- 44:30Speaker 2: of them? You know what I mean? I have a son.
- 44:33Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Just children in general. But
- 44:37Speaker 2: it hits home for me because I just don't understand
- 44:42Speaker 2: the optics of and his motive behind doing it at
- 44:45Speaker 2: this point in time associated with this dysfunctional administration. But yeah,
- 44:53Speaker 2: I mean, to your point, like, yeah, I mean, I've
- 44:55Speaker 2: never in a million years would I... have thought that
- 44:58Speaker 2: I would be playing pickleball. And I'm like, I'm not
- 45:00Speaker 2: just playing just for recreation. Like, I'm playing. Like, some days, Chris,
- 45:06Speaker 2: I don't come off the court for three, four hours. Like,
- 45:08Speaker 2: I'm back to back to back. Oh, yeah.
- 45:10Speaker 1: And it's a workout.
- 45:11Speaker 2: I'm an animal with it. And it's to the point, like,
- 45:13Speaker 2: people ask me, they see me and I'm talking about it. Like, oh,
- 45:15Speaker 2: you're addicted. And I try to tell them, like, no,
- 45:17Speaker 2: I don't see it as an addiction for me because
- 45:19Speaker 2: I've never had any racket background. I played any racket sports. So,
- 45:24Speaker 2: for me, it's the challenge of the sport. understanding the
- 45:27Speaker 2: little nuances of the game, like knowing when to transition
- 45:30Speaker 2: from the baseline to the net. You know, obviously they
- 45:33Speaker 2: have a thing called the kitchen. You can't be in
- 45:34Speaker 2: the kitchen. You got to, you know, cross-court dinks, volleys,
- 45:39Speaker 2: lobs every now and then. But, yeah, I mean, having
- 45:42Speaker 2: touch at the net, different types of paddles. Go get
- 45:47Speaker 2: your paddle. I have some new ones coming out, cpxpickleball.com. But, again,
- 45:51Speaker 2: just go to terralones.com. You'll find everything. Uh, but yeah,
- 45:55Speaker 2: everything about that man is, is, is challenging. So I
- 45:57Speaker 2: can understand. And now you brought it to that content
- 46:00Speaker 2: that the context of it, I applaud, you know, Amari
- 46:04Speaker 2: for doing what he's doing. His job is what he's
- 46:06Speaker 2: doing is obviously a lot more serious than what I'm doing. Um,
- 46:10Speaker 2: but honestly, Amari kudos to you, man, go in there, man,
- 46:14Speaker 2: go out there. Um, wishing you Godspeed because it's dangerous
- 46:19Speaker 2: out there on those streets.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Especially Miami-Dade County.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Yeah, man, it's dangerous out there on those streets. I
- 46:22Speaker 2: know you have a family. And what's so crazy about it,
- 46:25Speaker 2: like being a police officer in law enforcement, they leave
- 46:29Speaker 2: the house and you hear these stories, their families, that's
- 46:33Speaker 2: something to them, they may not come back.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Right.
- 46:37Speaker 2: They may leave the house in the morning, early in
- 46:39Speaker 2: the morning, and they may not come back. So, like
- 46:42Speaker 2: I told you, this is a very serious, uh, um, Pursuit.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Pursuit of something that's, obviously that's needed.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Yeah, well, congratulations, sir. If you see me driving, remember how,
- 46:55Speaker 1: if you see me speeding in Miami-Dade, just remember how
- 46:57Speaker 1: nice you were when you pulled me over.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 1: A lot of company specials came out. This guy does
- 47:03Speaker 1: not get the credit he deserves, and I think it's because,
- 47:06Speaker 1: and this is what happens with us, we don't really
- 47:11Speaker 1: talk about some of these black comedians who have a
- 47:16Speaker 1: more of a mainstream audience, right? So a lot of them,
- 47:21Speaker 1: you know, there's some black, you know, we talked about Mojo.
- 47:24Speaker 1: We talked about Jamie. We talked about Ali Sadiq. Predominantly
- 47:28Speaker 1: black audiences. But a lot of these people who come
- 47:32Speaker 1: from a place of a mainstream audience, I don't hear
- 47:35Speaker 1: black people talking about them enough. And that one person
- 47:37Speaker 1: is Michael Che. Who? From Saturday Night Live.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Oh.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Yes.
- 47:40Speaker 2: I don't even know who that is.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yes, you do. You know when him and Colin Jost
- 47:44Speaker 1: do the weekend update? Okay.
- 47:47Speaker 2: I probably know if I see him. The name doesn't
- 47:49Speaker 2: ring a bell.
- 47:51Speaker 1: He just did a special. It's on Netflix. It's called
- 47:54Speaker 1: Shot in Minnesota. I think it's his third Netflix special.
- 47:58Speaker 1: It is absolutely fucking brilliant.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Well, if he has a Netflix special, then he's pretty good.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Well, no, no, no. There's some people on there that
- 48:06Speaker 1: are shitty. Yeah, there's some people on there that.
- 48:08Speaker 2: But I mean, to even have the opportunity... No, fuck that.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Do you have a Netflix special? Turn me down.
- 48:14Speaker 3: So.
- 48:17Speaker 2: My guy, Ray Grady, he's funny as hell.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Grady is funny as hell.
- 48:20Speaker 2: And again, I think that he's deserving. Absolutely.
- 48:23Speaker 1: There's a lot of people out there that are deserving. Right,
- 48:24Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. And there's a lot of people
- 48:26Speaker 1: they end up getting because of social media following.
- 48:29Speaker 2: So I think Ray Grady needs to do more content because, bro,
- 48:33Speaker 2: the dude is funny.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Yes, he is.
- 48:35Speaker 2: He's hilarious.
- 48:35Speaker 1: One of my dear friends. We put him on Real
- 48:36Speaker 1: Husbands of Hollywood.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Ray Grady was on there?
- 48:39Speaker 1: Yeah, the sixth season, yep.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Oh, I got to check you out. Ray, hey. Actually,
- 48:43Speaker 2: me and him, we're going to be doing some stuff together, too.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Okay, good. Make sure I turn it down first, and
- 48:48Speaker 1: then you can pick him up. But Michael Che, dude,
- 48:51Speaker 1: kudos to your writing. He's so witty. His stuff is biting.
- 48:56Speaker 1: He's political. He can be a little, for lack of
- 49:00Speaker 1: a better word. Edgy? Edgy.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Edgy? Yeah. Okay.
- 49:04Speaker 1: He goes in on Trump.
- 49:06Speaker 2: That could be dangerous, too. How do you decipher what
- 49:12Speaker 2: type of comedy that you do and then to kind
- 49:17Speaker 2: of steer clear of certain things because it may be too... again,
- 49:21Speaker 2: edgy or controversial?
- 49:22Speaker 1: I think you just have to, you remember in Raw
- 49:26Speaker 1: when Eddie was complaining about Bill Cosby saying he was
- 49:29Speaker 1: too filthy and flooring, filthy, you're filthy and flooring, you're
- 49:33Speaker 1: cussing too much. And then Richard said, do the people
- 49:36Speaker 1: laugh when you tell the jokes? Well, then tell Bill
- 49:39Speaker 1: to have a coconut smile and shut the fuck up.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I'm just repeating that. I would never say that to Mr. Cosby.
- 49:43Speaker 1: But the audience dictates that.
- 49:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 49:46Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Cat Williams said it best
- 49:48Speaker 1: once because they were talking about comedians and why this
- 49:50Speaker 1: one didn't make it and why this one didn't make it.
- 49:51Speaker 1: He said, the audience chooses. Yeah. The audience chooses.
- 49:56Speaker 2: And so that makes me think, just say you, for example,
- 50:02Speaker 2: if that's what you want to do, if you want
- 50:03Speaker 2: to be like, Kevin Hart, go do tours, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 50:06Speaker 2: You know you're funny, I know you're funny, and like
- 50:08Speaker 2: you said, the audience chooses you. And you, like I said,
- 50:12Speaker 2: you may aspire to be, do what Kevin is doing,
- 50:15Speaker 2: or you may not. And you know you're funny, and
- 50:17Speaker 2: people are telling you you're funny, and you're seeing them like,
- 50:19Speaker 2: I want to do this, but you're not getting it.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Do you tweak, do you change what you're doing to
- 50:24Speaker 2: try to get to that point? I mean.
- 50:26Speaker 1: A lot of comedians' goals are to do coliseums and
- 50:29Speaker 1: arenas and stuff like that. And yes, we're all trying
- 50:32Speaker 1: to get to that path, but we might not get
- 50:34Speaker 1: to that.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Right, but my point is that.
- 50:37Speaker 1: There is no changing. These people are special. You know
- 50:40Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 50:40Speaker 2: So you're not special? In your own right.
- 50:43Speaker 1: No, I'm special.
- 50:43Speaker 2: In your own lane.
- 50:44Speaker 1: I'm just saying to get that is a whole different...
- 50:47Speaker 1: There's all kind of stuff that is in play. It's
- 50:50Speaker 1: not just funny. It's not just cute, which I am both.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:56Speaker 1: It might not be in the cards for me.
- 50:58Speaker 2: You know what I mean? It's the same in football.
- 51:01Speaker 1: It's the same in football. But like Steve Harvey, think
- 51:03Speaker 1: about it. Maybe when he started off, he thought he
- 51:04Speaker 1: was going to be Eddie Murphy, right? And now he's
- 51:07Speaker 1: the biggest game show host in the world. He has
- 51:09Speaker 1: clothing lines. He has businesses. The path was this. The trajectory. Yeah,
- 51:15Speaker 1: but he went this way. He's still up here.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Right. He just took a different route. Still going to
- 51:20Speaker 2: the same places.
- 51:20Speaker 1: I'm trying to be Mike Epps and Cedric, but none
- 51:23Speaker 1: of them got a podcast with.
- 51:25Speaker 2: T.O., Shit, no. Boy, you making it. You're doing good.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Same level, folks. Same level.
- 51:30Speaker 2: But we're getting there.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 51:33Speaker 2: We're getting there.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Yes. Everybody has a different lane, a different pathway to
- 51:37Speaker 1: get to success.
- 51:38Speaker 2: We're ascending. As long as we're not descending.
- 51:39Speaker 1: As long as we're not descending.
- 51:41Speaker 2: Yeah, we're ascending.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Once again, Michael Che, kudos to your special. If you
- 51:44Speaker 1: guys haven't seen it, please go see it. It's called
- 51:46Speaker 1: Shot in Minnesota.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Shot in Minnesota. Sorry, Michael J. I'm sure I probably
- 51:50Speaker 2: know you.
- 51:51Speaker 1: You know I'm soon to see your face.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Yeah, once I see your face, I just really don't
- 51:54Speaker 2: know your name like that. I know Chris Spencer.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Black people, go see Michael J. Speaking of trajectory,
- 52:02Speaker 1: they have another Miami Vice coming out. Another one? It's
- 52:05Speaker 1: called Miami Vice 85. They've already shot the movie?
- 52:08Speaker 2: Yep. Are they auditioning for it?
- 52:09Speaker 1: No, they got it. They got the kid, Austin Butler.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Did you see Elvis?
- 52:13Speaker 2: I wanted to be him.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Did you see the Elvis movie?
- 52:16Speaker 2: I want to be in like Men in Black Miami Vice.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you're going to be in Men in Black.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Or you can just be Black Men. And Michael B.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Jordan are recreating Crockett and Tubbs for Miami Vice 85.
- 52:28Speaker 1: He's true.
- 52:28Speaker 2: You're talking about trajectory.
- 52:31Speaker 1: He's out of here already.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Bro, he's out of here. He's everything. Creed and all
- 52:36Speaker 2: these other things.
- 52:37Speaker 1: And he's directing as well. Oh, he's directing now? Oh, yeah.
- 52:40Speaker 1: He directed The Last Creed.
- 52:41Speaker 2: Hey, Michael B., can you find a spot for your boy?
- 52:44Speaker 2: I mean.
- 52:46Speaker 1: Listen, if you were to pick an autobiography film that
- 52:51Speaker 1: you would want to be the star of, look in
- 52:54Speaker 1: that camera and tell them who you want to be.
- 52:57Speaker 2: I mean, the sky's the limit for me. I'm like
- 53:00Speaker 2: a comedian.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Who would you want to be as a character? Would
- 53:02Speaker 1: you want to be, if they were to say, Terrell Owens'
- 53:06Speaker 1: Satchel Paige?
- 53:08Speaker 2: Man, I don't know, man, because I feel like, I
- 53:10Speaker 2: don't know because I haven't really tapped into what I
- 53:12Speaker 2: could really do.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Right.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Because I could be funny. I could be edgy.
- 53:15Speaker 1: I'm just saying, but think of somebody out there like Denzel,
- 53:19Speaker 1: played Malcolm X and Jamie, did Ray.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Who do you see you playing? Those guys are really good, though. Right.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Those guys are really good.
- 53:26Speaker 1: No, you would study. You'd get a teacher.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Who do you see you playing?
- 53:34Speaker 2: That's a good idea. I like Denzel.
- 53:36Speaker 1: You want to play... No, you can't be Denzel.
- 53:38Speaker 2: No, I can't. No, I'm just saying I just like his.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Oh, yes, yes.
- 53:42Speaker 2: I like his range of character. Like, he could be.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Terrell Washington. Terrell Washington. Terrell Owens is Denzel Washington.
- 53:49Speaker 2: No, I don't know, to be honest. Right, right, right.
- 53:51Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I would think it would have to be probably an athlete.
- 53:54Speaker 2: I wouldn't want to do that.
- 53:55Speaker 1: You could be Jesse Owens.
- 53:57Speaker 2: I wouldn't want to be somebody that's obvious. You know
- 53:59Speaker 2: what I mean? I wouldn't want to play a character
- 54:01Speaker 2: not related to.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Okay, so not necessarily autobiography. Just something... Yeah.
- 54:05Speaker 2: You know what I mean? I wouldn't want to do
- 54:06Speaker 2: something associated with what people associate me with. You get
- 54:09Speaker 2: what I'm saying? I like that. That's an easy thing
- 54:13Speaker 2: to do.
- 54:13Speaker 1: You know what I mean? So Michael B. Jordan is
- 54:15Speaker 1: playing Tubbs.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Okay, Tubbs.
- 54:17Speaker 1: And the Butler guy is going to be Crockett. But
- 54:19Speaker 1: if you remember in the actual.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Who is Butler? Gerard Butler?
- 54:21Speaker 1: No, Austin Butler.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Austin Butler.
- 54:23Speaker 1: The kid that played Elvis.
- 54:24Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, Austin Butler. Okay. So who's going to be
- 54:27Speaker 2: like the main guy?
- 54:28Speaker 1: It's got to be Michael B. I mean, he got
- 54:29Speaker 1: the most credits, right?
- 54:31Speaker 2: Do you think that's a... When they're going into things
- 54:33Speaker 2: like that, Like do you feel like because of who
- 54:36Speaker 2: you are you have to be the main guy or
- 54:39Speaker 2: do or you humble enough to take the lesser?
- 54:42Speaker 1: Not leader. I don't think he has a choice because
- 54:45Speaker 1: they're gonna base it on his box office Stop power
- 54:49Speaker 1: his star power. Yeah, it was a little closer when
- 54:51Speaker 1: they did it before with Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell Right.
- 54:55Speaker 1: You remember they did it again.
- 54:56Speaker 2: What was that show?
- 54:57Speaker 1: That was Miami Vice.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 54:58Speaker 1: That's right. Yeah and so in that one I it
- 55:03Speaker 1: was okay to go, uh-uh, uh-uh, because they were both superstars.
- 55:05Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 55:06Speaker 1: This one, Austin's a star, but Michael B. Jordan is,
- 55:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Yeah. And so I think
- 55:15Speaker 1: you big Miami Vice fans, just be prepared to know
- 55:18Speaker 1: that Michael B. Jordan's going to get the girl. He's
- 55:23Speaker 1: going to have the best shootout scenes. No, I mean,
- 55:25Speaker 1: they might make it even, you know what I mean?
- 55:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Kudos, shout out to Michael B.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Still.
- 55:30Speaker 2: Still doing it. And every movie, he has a new girlfriend.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Oh, you're talking about in real life? This is in
- 55:38Speaker 1: real life. Yeah, I think that's in his contract. Dude,
- 55:40Speaker 1: I swear to God. It's like every time a new
- 55:43Speaker 1: movie comes out, he has a new girlfriend. But then
- 55:46Speaker 1: every other movie, Laurie Harvey comes back. Right. Just kidding.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Michael, I'm beginning to think you're a whore.
- 55:52Speaker 1: It's not a bad thing when you're a man to
- 55:54Speaker 1: be a whore.
- 55:54Speaker 2: You're a man whore.
- 55:56Speaker 1: What other reboots did you like? The A-Team. You like that? Yeah, man.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Rampage played Mr. T. Did you like Rampage as B.A. Baracus?
- 56:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I thought he would have done some more films after that.
- 56:11Speaker 1: He was a good actor.
- 56:13Speaker 2: I mean, you know, hey, man, look.
- 56:14Speaker 1: It's tough out here.
- 56:15Speaker 2: It's hard for us black people, man. We got to
- 56:18Speaker 2: do a lot. We got to climb mountains before we
- 56:22Speaker 2: get here.
- 56:23Speaker 1: You know what? Maybe he could become press secretary.
- 56:28Speaker 2: That part.
- 56:29Speaker 1: The job is available.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Oh, the weekend. Yeah, I rebamped my website.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 56:34Speaker 2: That was something I've been working on because everybody's been
- 56:37Speaker 2: asking me a little bit about everything that I have
- 56:40Speaker 2: going on. Instead of me saying prototype81. com, and they ask me, well,
- 56:45Speaker 2: where can I find this? I got clothing line, my
- 56:47Speaker 2: cross-court essentials, pickleball line.
- 56:51Speaker 1: The shoes, my shoes.
- 56:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I got these right here, the T.O. Resets.
- 56:56Speaker 1: How many colors you got?
- 56:56Speaker 2: Recovery shoes. I have five colors. Gray, lilac, yellow, oat,
- 57:02Speaker 2: and black.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Okay. I need them all.
- 57:04Speaker 2: But everybody, even this hoodie right here, my desired dedication
- 57:09Speaker 2: and discipline, go to my website, TerrellOwens.com. You want to
- 57:14Speaker 2: know anything that I got going on, even this podcast.
- 57:17Speaker 2: If you can't find the podcast, just go to TerrellLawrence.com.
- 57:21Speaker 2: If you don't have GTTP pod on your keyboard, just
- 57:26Speaker 2: go to TerrellLawrence.com and you'll find everything. You might even
- 57:30Speaker 2: find Chris on there.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 57:32Speaker 2: Go get it. Go check it out. That's dope.
- 57:34Speaker 1: And then November 5th.
- 57:35Speaker 2: November 5th. Big day. Yep. It's the documentary. Amazon Prime
- 57:39Speaker 2: is where you can find it.
- 57:42Speaker 1: November 5th, y'all.
- 57:42Speaker 2: November 5th. That week, actually, when it airs, I will
- 57:46Speaker 2: be in Chattanooga during Homecoming week. So I'm doing a
- 57:48Speaker 2: premiere on campus. Oh, that's dope. Yeah, doing a premiere
- 57:51Speaker 2: on campus. Coming like full circle because, you know, I
- 57:55Speaker 2: did my Hall of Fame ceremony in Chattanooga. And just
- 57:58Speaker 2: so happened, I didn't know that. They were going to
- 58:01Speaker 2: launch and air my documentary on the 5th. And just
- 58:04Speaker 2: so happens, homecoming week.
- 58:05Speaker 1: So I was going.
- 58:07Speaker 2: To be in Chattanooga.
- 58:07Speaker 1: We all got to go.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:09Speaker 1: We all got to go.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Yeah. So we're going to do it. So it's going
- 58:13Speaker 2: to be big. Right now, I mean, literally, they said
- 58:16Speaker 2: it's like they may have to increase the venue because
- 58:21Speaker 2: they put RSVP out in like in an hour, almost
- 58:24Speaker 2: 100 people already signed up. And it's only like 300 people.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. No, no, no. But yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Go check it out. TerrellLawrence.com. Definitely check out the documentary.
- 58:36Speaker 2: The name of the documentary is called Terrell and T.O.
- 58:40Speaker 2: So you get to see and differentiate and kind of
- 58:44Speaker 2: see the two different sides of me.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Who are you right here?
- 58:46Speaker 2: How I grew up. This is T.O.
- 58:49Speaker 1: This is T.O.? Yeah.
- 58:50Speaker 2: T.O., we're going to get to the point.
- 58:52Speaker 1: So what are we going to find out about Terrell
- 58:54Speaker 1: and T.O.? What don't we know?
- 58:59Speaker 2: Oh man, a lot of people, I don't think a
- 59:02Speaker 2: lot of people have ever seen, they've seen me, they've
- 59:05Speaker 2: heard me talk about my grandmama. So we have some
- 59:08Speaker 2: clips of her. when she was spry and you're going
- 59:13Speaker 2: to actually see the house that I grew up in. Okay.
- 59:15Speaker 2: And then actually the house that I, right across the
- 59:18Speaker 2: street where my dad lives.
- 59:20Speaker 1: Right.
- 59:21Speaker 2: And it's kind of going to be bittersweet. I dedicated, honestly,
- 59:24Speaker 2: the film to two people. My cousin that died in
- 59:27Speaker 2: 2024 due to a drunk driver. And then my dad
- 59:30Speaker 2: who just passed not too long ago. So you get
- 59:34Speaker 2: to see him literally that his, like within a year's time,
- 59:37Speaker 2: his health deteriorated. And it was my first time, well,
- 59:41Speaker 2: His first time seeing my daughter for the first time, too,
- 59:43Speaker 2: and my daughter's first time.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Okay, don't give us everything. I just wanted a little bit.
- 59:46Speaker 2: Okay, I get it.
- 59:48Speaker 1: That's dope. Ladies and gentlemen, that's our show.
- 59:50Speaker 2: You know where to find us. We're always up, and
- 59:52Speaker 2: we get to the point.
- 59:53Speaker 1: GTTP Pod, if you're on anything that shows a podcast,
- 59:58Speaker 1: and if you're on YouTube, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: GTTP Podcast. Please subscribe, like, and share.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: And every now and then rewind to find out if.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: It's telling the truth.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm always telling the truth because I get to
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: the point.
