- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. It is the almost famous podcast. And Yes,
- 0:09Speaker 1: four months of wondering and looking outside and staring off
- 0:15Speaker 1: into the distance and not knowing what's missing in your
- 0:19Speaker 1: life now gets solved tonight. Oh it sure does. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 1: so excited for everyone. Is there anything that we Is
- 0:29Speaker 1: there anything that we have not talked about in these
- 0:32Speaker 1: eleven days in which we've led up to this premiere? Uh?
- 0:37Speaker 1: You know what I think is I don't think we've
- 0:39Speaker 1: talked about how Bachelor Nation is going to respond tonight. Uh.
- 0:43Speaker 1: You know, it's We've talked about it many times. Um
- 0:48Speaker 1: less people are watching this show on It's regularly scheduled,
- 0:53Speaker 1: scheduled at times, And I am very excited Ashley and
- 0:59Speaker 1: in league. Maybe's the best word to see. If Bachelor
- 1:03Speaker 1: Nation comes out in full support tonight, maybe the ratings
- 1:06Speaker 1: go back up. I think these are two incredible leads.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I think it's a very interesting season. I can't say
- 1:13Speaker 1: yet that I'm behind it or not behind it, because
- 1:15Speaker 1: we just don't know how it's going to play out.
- 1:17Speaker 1: But I'm wondering if people are going to respond and
- 1:20Speaker 1: get really excited and tune in tonight or not? I mean,
- 1:23Speaker 1: or are we going to now see three straight or
- 1:26Speaker 1: four straight seasons of a big dip? I concur with you, Ben,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that is really like the I think the last thing
- 1:34Speaker 1: we haven't talked about, and I think the most interesting
- 1:36Speaker 1: thing that we'll find out tomorrow. What time did the
- 1:40Speaker 1: ratings come in? Or we could be no buy tomorrow's podcast? Yeah, Tuesday,
- 1:43Speaker 1: like today, m Mountains, I don't know. You know, usually
- 1:46Speaker 1: they come out pretty early in the morning, the preliminary
- 1:48Speaker 1: initial um ratings, and then a couple of days later,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I think on Thursday they do streaming and downloads and
- 1:54Speaker 1: all that stuff. But really Tuesday you can see who's
- 1:57Speaker 1: tuned in, you know this evening to this show, Ashley,
- 2:02Speaker 1: if you could put you're a fan of the show. Uh, Now,
- 2:06Speaker 1: we don't know the contestants and the leads as well
- 2:08Speaker 1: as we once did maybe five years ago. So what
- 2:12Speaker 1: as a fan are you wanting out of this season?
- 2:15Speaker 1: What are you needing out of this season? What it
- 2:16Speaker 1: maybe has been missing for you? What I think we
- 2:19Speaker 1: need for this season to be successful in every way
- 2:23Speaker 1: is connection to the leads. I think that's been a
- 2:26Speaker 1: complaint when it comes to well bachelor seasons. I think
- 2:29Speaker 1: that with Michelle and Katie and Claire and Tasia, people
- 2:33Speaker 1: feel pretty connected to bachelorettes. They feel like they know
- 2:37Speaker 1: them going to the season, they feel like they get
- 2:38Speaker 1: to know them better. I think that's usually been the
- 2:40Speaker 1: complaint with the Bachelor's recently. Yeah, so I think that
- 2:44Speaker 1: we really just need to feel like we are invested
- 2:47Speaker 1: in them finding love. Yeah, what is it? What is
- 2:52Speaker 1: the difference between the Bachelor's and Bachelorettes. I don't know
- 2:56Speaker 1: what is it? Well, I mean I think with Matt
- 2:59Speaker 1: James there was an obvious reason for disconnection because we
- 3:02Speaker 1: didn't know him. Yeah, you you had no clue who
- 3:07Speaker 1: Matt was coming into it. And then I don't know
- 3:09Speaker 1: how well the season or Matt or whatever did at
- 3:13Speaker 1: showing you know who Matt was and why we wanted
- 3:16Speaker 1: to root for him. With Clayton, I mean, I think
- 3:20Speaker 1: Clayton did a fine job. I thought it was a
- 3:22Speaker 1: good season. I thought it was engaging and intriguing. I
- 3:25Speaker 1: thought he was, you know, himself. Obviously it worked out
- 3:28Speaker 1: for him, But I will say the criticism with that
- 3:31Speaker 1: season was that there was a lot of people coming
- 3:33Speaker 1: off of Michelle's season that just people wanted more like
- 3:37Speaker 1: I mean, I think he was up against a hard
- 3:39Speaker 1: uh and up against a lot of hard competition, because
- 3:43Speaker 1: people watch Michelle's season to the end and fell in
- 3:45Speaker 1: love with the Rodneys of the world and the Brandons
- 3:48Speaker 1: and all those people, and they said, why are we
- 3:50Speaker 1: getting Clayton. We don't know Clayton, And then he gets
- 3:53Speaker 1: on the season. I think people have the same criticism,
- 3:55Speaker 1: like I wish it was somebody else, not that people
- 3:58Speaker 1: didn't give him much chance, but just liked or enjoyed
- 4:01Speaker 1: or saw more of the other people from Michelle season
- 4:04Speaker 1: more often. Yeah, so we will. We will see if
- 4:10Speaker 1: um we have that connection. I feel like we will.
- 4:13Speaker 1: People are pretty invested in these girls. Now, it'll be
- 4:17Speaker 1: a matter of whether the guys are worth rooting for,
- 4:20Speaker 1: whether the guys are worthy of these ladies. I think
- 4:24Speaker 1: that's a big one. Especially when it comes to the Bachelorette.
- 4:27Speaker 1: People complain that, like, oh, the guys suck, Like I
- 4:30Speaker 1: love these girls, but the guys sucked. They have no
- 4:32Speaker 1: one to choose from. There's like only four in there,
- 4:34Speaker 1: you know, And we always go back to Caitlin season
- 4:37Speaker 1: because it seems like she may have had more than four,
- 4:41Speaker 1: because I think we can almost always say like, oh,
- 4:44Speaker 1: there's a good four, but Caitlyn season, you know there
- 4:47Speaker 1: was a dozen. There's a lot of good guys there. Yeah,
- 4:50Speaker 1: there's a lot of good guys back then. I hope
- 4:52Speaker 1: they do that again with this season. I don't know
- 4:54Speaker 1: why they wouldn't. I mean, especially with the success of Paradise. Now,
- 4:58Speaker 1: it's not like if they don't it to show or
- 5:01Speaker 1: use these uh contestants as the lead for the next season,
- 5:05Speaker 1: they have a place to show still show off the
- 5:08Speaker 1: high quality of people they can come through the show.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I do think that's an interesting point actually, is why
- 5:14Speaker 1: has the show kind of not had six, seven, eight
- 5:19Speaker 1: different people that could be a viable option for the
- 5:23Speaker 1: bachelorettes recently? I mean, it hasn't happened. It's so bizarre.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You think we have the whole country. And I don't
- 5:29Speaker 1: know if I said this on the podcast, but you
- 5:31Speaker 1: know that the casting directors often look through dating apps
- 5:35Speaker 1: in social media now trying to find guys. And I
- 5:38Speaker 1: don't think they really try to find girls that way,
- 5:41Speaker 1: but like they are starved for guys. They're not applying
- 5:44Speaker 1: for the show. I guess, well, yeah, it's it's it's
- 5:47Speaker 1: a big risk, and typically the people that are applying
- 5:50Speaker 1: are out for different reasons. I saw a post from
- 5:55Speaker 1: one of the contestants from this season. It came up
- 5:57Speaker 1: on one of the Bachelor scoop page is or something
- 6:00Speaker 1: like that, and the post said what are you gonna do?
- 6:04Speaker 1: The question that he was asked on Instagram was what
- 6:06Speaker 1: are you gonna do now? And this post said modeling, acting,
- 6:10Speaker 1: um campaigns, partnerships and all these things kind of like, hey,
- 6:15Speaker 1: life is now going to be totally different like that,
- 6:17Speaker 1: that's what he said the Bachelor questionnaire. Yeah, and people
- 6:21Speaker 1: are like, well, this doesn't sound like a guy that's engaged,
- 6:23Speaker 1: so we can cross him out. I want to say
- 6:25Speaker 1: his name because that's a spoiler, but yeah, I think,
- 6:28Speaker 1: you know, you need to get the people that are
- 6:30Speaker 1: still trying to go there because maybe love just hasn't
- 6:34Speaker 1: worked for him, or maybe they've had a fall a
- 6:36Speaker 1: failed relationship that you know, was a six year long relationship.
- 6:39Speaker 1: They don't know how to get back in the dating pool,
- 6:41Speaker 1: and this is a good opportunity to going to tide
- 6:42Speaker 1: again and they can have a little fun doing it.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Uh So, it's gonna be intriguing tonight. I am very excited,
- 6:51Speaker 1: uh to tune in. I really like Gabby and Rachel.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I think something we haven't spoken about yet is how
- 6:58Speaker 1: similar they are, but yet how different unique each of
- 7:00Speaker 1: them because they're gonna bring two different um to this
- 7:08Speaker 1: show the season, and I think the contestants are now
- 7:12Speaker 1: or the Bachelor Nation is now going to kind of
- 7:15Speaker 1: have the ability to root for both but relate with
- 7:18Speaker 1: both because they're gonna see two different sides of both,
- 7:22Speaker 1: And I think that's really fun. Is Batchel Nations going
- 7:25Speaker 1: to be really intrigued and never bored because two different
- 7:29Speaker 1: storylines are gonna be playing out. I think that they're
- 7:34Speaker 1: also going to like use the best of the best
- 7:38Speaker 1: content they have, so like they have two seasons going
- 7:42Speaker 1: on at once, so everything we're gonna see is presumably
- 7:46Speaker 1: very compelling because it's still the same amount of hours
- 7:49Speaker 1: of TV UM. But I do like the fact that
- 7:52Speaker 1: we'll be able to, like, if we're not feeling like
- 7:54Speaker 1: one maybe not one girl, but like say, like we're
- 7:57Speaker 1: not feeling one, like something's boring us this week, you know,
- 8:00Speaker 1: then there's another side of the episode that probably won't
- 8:04Speaker 1: bore Us. I like that. I also think that it's
- 8:08Speaker 1: it's nice to have Gabby who's going to bring the humor, lightheartedness,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and then there's Rachel who probably being a little bit
- 8:16Speaker 1: more of the classic um hopeless romantic vibe. Final point,
- 8:22Speaker 1: final thing I think fans should watch out for, at
- 8:25Speaker 1: least I'm going to be watching out for. We got
- 8:27Speaker 1: to talk to Jesse Palmer last week and have an
- 8:30Speaker 1: interview with him leading up to this season while he
- 8:33Speaker 1: was still in Paradise finishing and filming that season. I
- 8:37Speaker 1: think this is Jesse's big shot. I think during Clayton's season,
- 8:42Speaker 1: we kind of felt like Jesse just wasn't there. Uh
- 8:48Speaker 1: you know, he wasn't getting into a bad job by
- 8:50Speaker 1: any means, but he just wasn't around. It felt like
- 8:52Speaker 1: they kind of hid the host, which was a weird idea,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and maybe you don't even need a host for this show,
- 8:57Speaker 1: but it just felt like he was hidden. I do
- 8:59Speaker 1: feel his job this season, helping two leads navigate this
- 9:04Speaker 1: along with more contestants than we've ever had, he does
- 9:08Speaker 1: have to step in, and I believe this is gonna
- 9:11Speaker 1: be where we see, Hey, this is Jesse a good
- 9:14Speaker 1: fit for the show, or maybe he's not. I think
- 9:16Speaker 1: he will be, but I do feel like we're gonna
- 9:19Speaker 1: see more of him this season. Mm hm, totally agreed. Alright, Well,
- 9:23Speaker 1: tomorrow we are going to have the girls, Gabby and Rachel,
- 9:28Speaker 1: both Ben and I are meeting them for the first time.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Super excited about that. And now for the rest of
- 9:34Speaker 1: today's episode, we are going to go through headlines and
- 9:37Speaker 1: we'll be right back with that. First headline is this.
- 9:51Speaker 1: It's it's a big one that we know a lot
- 9:53Speaker 1: about Ashley the same. Um oh, what is the page
- 9:58Speaker 1: that I follow on Instagram to get all of my
- 10:01Speaker 1: scoop on all of our friends in Bachelor Nation. I'm
- 10:04Speaker 1: gonna look it up right now so they get some
- 10:06Speaker 1: some credit. The page is called Bachelor Nation dot scoop.
- 10:11Speaker 1: That's literally the one if I feel like it's always
- 10:13Speaker 1: on my stories, I'm always getting updates from what our
- 10:17Speaker 1: friends are doing and what they're not doing. So that's
- 10:21Speaker 1: when I follow a shout out to them. They posted
- 10:25Speaker 1: a couple of days ago about you and Jared, and
- 10:27Speaker 1: anytime I see your pace face pop up on a
- 10:29Speaker 1: Bachelor Nation scoop page, I get nervous and I get intrigued. Well,
- 10:35Speaker 1: this one was one not to be nervous about. But
- 10:37Speaker 1: it's one of our fans here and our listeners who
- 10:39Speaker 1: have been around should know more about than anybody else.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I think talked about you and Jared selling your home
- 10:45Speaker 1: that you just moved into. We celebrated the purchase of
- 10:47Speaker 1: your new really on here. I didn't even see this
- 10:50Speaker 1: on our headline list. That's on the headline list. It's
- 10:54Speaker 1: not on the headline list. It's on my list because
- 10:56Speaker 1: I'm intrigued, Ashley, what is going on? You just moved
- 11:00Speaker 1: in this house, you have it settled in, and now
- 11:03Speaker 1: you're selling it. Where are you doing? And I'm moving
- 11:06Speaker 1: back to l A. What are you? What's going on?
- 11:08Speaker 1: It's a mess. Okay, So Jared and I long, long
- 11:13Speaker 1: story here. Jared I moved to Rhode Island last to
- 11:18Speaker 1: March and we lived with his sister while we looked
- 11:22Speaker 1: for an apartment. We found an apartment. Like the apartment,
- 11:25Speaker 1: it was the most an l a priced apartment though
- 11:28Speaker 1: in random mass suburban Rhode Island. We like, we can't,
- 11:33Speaker 1: we should not continue to run. Plus, Jared wanted a
- 11:36Speaker 1: house in a yard, and like you know, you wanted
- 11:38Speaker 1: to have that settling down feeling now that he moved
- 11:41Speaker 1: back to his home state. Then UM got pregnant with Dawson,
- 11:46Speaker 1: which was in the plans. We were hoping that we
- 11:48Speaker 1: would get pregnant within that year. And then you know,
- 11:53Speaker 1: we we kind of knew that that apartment wouldn't be
- 11:56Speaker 1: as big as we like for having a kid, So
- 12:01Speaker 1: we started looking for houses again and we kept looking.
- 12:04Speaker 1: We looked like for an entire year, semi out of curiosity,
- 12:08Speaker 1: semi because you know, because we actually wanted it. But
- 12:11Speaker 1: it was never like something we were rushing into. But
- 12:14Speaker 1: once I was like four months pregnant, We're like, let's
- 12:17Speaker 1: like take this seriously again. And we looked at houses
- 12:21Speaker 1: all throughout the states, and none felt like us. None
- 12:26Speaker 1: felt like home. People keep asking me whether or not
- 12:29Speaker 1: we wanted to build, because I've been so like vocal
- 12:33Speaker 1: about how I want to design my own house one
- 12:35Speaker 1: day and that I want to live in East Greenwich,
- 12:38Speaker 1: Rhode Island. Um, but that is like something that I
- 12:42Speaker 1: think is like years away. Um, I didn't want to
- 12:45Speaker 1: do it. When we started the business, while we were
- 12:48Speaker 1: not like this young but like fresh to Rhode Island
- 12:51Speaker 1: having a baby, thought that we could put that off
- 12:54Speaker 1: a few years. Also like see where financially like our
- 12:59Speaker 1: lives take us all that stuff again new business so
- 13:02Speaker 1: not building. We're like, let's buy a house that's like
- 13:05Speaker 1: our starter house, like our first home with our first kid,
- 13:07Speaker 1: and like maybe like the second baby, like a second
- 13:10Speaker 1: as like a baby toddler, And then we is this
- 13:15Speaker 1: the story that you wanted? Ben? Okay? So then we
- 13:21Speaker 1: we found this house in West Greenwich, which we were like, oh, man,
- 13:27Speaker 1: never considered living out here. But it's a huge lot
- 13:31Speaker 1: and uh, this house it was not done being built yet.
- 13:35Speaker 1: It's a new construction and we love new construction. We
- 13:37Speaker 1: were able to put our like our own touches in
- 13:40Speaker 1: the finishing, like we were able to choose the color hardwood,
- 13:43Speaker 1: in the color of like knobs and whether we wanted
- 13:46Speaker 1: granted or courts and stuff like that. We're like, that
- 13:49Speaker 1: will give us a kind of a building feel while
- 13:51Speaker 1: not like going all the way right now. So we
- 13:54Speaker 1: saw this house and because the market, especially last September
- 13:59Speaker 1: was in sanity, like we could not um you know,
- 14:05Speaker 1: like the houses were going for like over fifty over
- 14:08Speaker 1: asking and there's just like there was so much there
- 14:13Speaker 1: was there was a lot going up on the market,
- 14:16Speaker 1: not a lot that we liked. But the thing was,
- 14:18Speaker 1: you had to make a decision whether you're not you
- 14:20Speaker 1: want to put an offer in within hours of seeing
- 14:23Speaker 1: the place. You know, if you weren't telling the owners
- 14:27Speaker 1: that you wanted to buy it within like two hours,
- 14:29Speaker 1: it was too late to get it. So we put
- 14:32Speaker 1: in an offer, it was accepted, and we were like excited. Um,
- 14:37Speaker 1: so the house was done, it was ready to move
- 14:38Speaker 1: in in December, and that's what we did. And it
- 14:43Speaker 1: was soon after that I was like, man, this place
- 14:45Speaker 1: is not convenient, is it. This place is kind of
- 14:49Speaker 1: in the country. This place is twenty minutes from a
- 14:53Speaker 1: drug store. That's not fun. And then it was like, huh.
- 14:58Speaker 1: The drive to Audrey's thirty five minutes seems like a
- 15:01Speaker 1: nothing commute when you live in l A. But when
- 15:04Speaker 1: you live in Rhode Island, thirty five minutes there and
- 15:06Speaker 1: back is quite a hike. And after living in the
- 15:10Speaker 1: house for about two months, maybe not even two months,
- 15:14Speaker 1: I was joking with my friends that we should sell it.
- 15:17Speaker 1: After my dad said you should sell it because it
- 15:20Speaker 1: just did not work with our lifestyle, did not work
- 15:24Speaker 1: like Jared he'll go to work. I mean, yeah, and again,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I don't think half an hour commute is a bad deal.
- 15:31Speaker 1: But for jared schedule it is because he oftentimes will
- 15:35Speaker 1: be driving home at one thirty am. He'll call me
- 15:38Speaker 1: and be like, I need you to talk to me.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I feel like I could fall asleep. Um. He he
- 15:45Speaker 1: has the schedule in which, like he could come home
- 15:49Speaker 1: during the day, do other work, do housework, go the gym,
- 15:53Speaker 1: play golf, play with Dawson, like live a little bit
- 15:56Speaker 1: more of a life, which he's not really been living
- 15:58Speaker 1: any bit of life the past like nine months since
- 16:02Speaker 1: really getting this place off the ground, Like just no
- 16:05Speaker 1: work life balance, Like the guy comes home from work,
- 16:08Speaker 1: does more work on his computer, goes to sleep day
- 16:11Speaker 1: all over again. He's lucky if he does take one
- 16:13Speaker 1: day off a week. We're trying to make Tuesday's a
- 16:16Speaker 1: consistent day offer him. But the d LEO is if
- 16:20Speaker 1: we we soon found out that if we moved closer
- 16:23Speaker 1: to the shop. Can you believe how long this story
- 16:24Speaker 1: is taking me to tell No, I can't. We We've
- 16:32Speaker 1: this is like a vent session. I'm just venting. We
- 16:34Speaker 1: found out, you know, We're like, if we move closer
- 16:37Speaker 1: to the shop, like within five minutes, you'd be able
- 16:39Speaker 1: to come home during your quiet hours because people aren't
- 16:42Speaker 1: getting coffee or drinks really from like two thirty to seven,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and then it gets really like it's busy again, but
- 16:52Speaker 1: like between lunch and drink hours, it's pretty quiet and
- 16:56Speaker 1: he could come home during that point. But when you're
- 16:58Speaker 1: thirty five minutes away, you're not going to come home.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Plus talk to talk about the gas situation. Ouch. So
- 17:07Speaker 1: one day I was joking with my friends. I was like, yeah,
- 17:11Speaker 1: we're I'm gonna move there, like house the house. I'm like,
- 17:13Speaker 1: I think we should move. And then Jared comes over.
- 17:16Speaker 1: He's working, and he's a middle working and he's like,
- 17:18Speaker 1: what are you talking about? What are you laughing about?
- 17:20Speaker 1: I was like, I'm never going to sell the house
- 17:22Speaker 1: and he's like, are you kidding me? And it was
- 17:25Speaker 1: literally like a week later, Jared was fully on board,
- 17:29Speaker 1: even more of a pro proponent to sell the house.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So here we are house on the market and bought
- 17:36Speaker 1: another one. We bought another house, which we love and
- 17:40Speaker 1: is so convenient and so conducive to our lifestyle, and
- 17:44Speaker 1: it's four minutes from Audrey's. We actually walked it the
- 17:48Speaker 1: other day. So you've bought a new house. Are you
- 17:52Speaker 1: excited about this new house? Oh? My god, Like, I'm
- 17:55Speaker 1: so excited. So the thing was, I even knew when
- 17:58Speaker 1: we started moving to the house. I was like, there's
- 18:01Speaker 1: not a sense of excitement like people like I was
- 18:04Speaker 1: getting like magazine being like, can we get an exclusive
- 18:07Speaker 1: of you, like giving a tour of the house, like
- 18:09Speaker 1: your first pictures in front of it, blah blah blah,
- 18:12Speaker 1: And I was like sure, like when it's ready, I
- 18:14Speaker 1: just had like no, I was just like not excited
- 18:16Speaker 1: about Like once we're here, is is not excited about it.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It was like there's something about this place that isn't
- 18:21Speaker 1: home to me. In this place I dad dream all
- 18:25Speaker 1: day long of and like how our life is gonna
- 18:27Speaker 1: be different when we lived down there. Is it an
- 18:29Speaker 1: older house? Is that some of this up here is
- 18:31Speaker 1: in an older house? Is in a new build. It's
- 18:33Speaker 1: just it's still a new build. Will be the first
- 18:37Speaker 1: people to live in it, but it was fully finished
- 18:40Speaker 1: by the time we bought it, so it wasn't like
- 18:42Speaker 1: a work in progress. Okay, well we're excited for you.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I mean, this seems like a good change it will
- 18:47Speaker 1: probably be a funny story ten years. So now that
- 18:49Speaker 1: you talk about how you bought your first house together,
- 18:52Speaker 1: you sold it within a year. You're moved to this
- 18:54Speaker 1: new house. So yeah, but hey, but hey, we're so happy.
- 19:01Speaker 1: We're so happy, so excited, and it's just it's gonna
- 19:05Speaker 1: be like a great little way of life. It is.
- 19:09Speaker 1: But wait till I move, Wait till I move with
- 19:14Speaker 1: a six month old. I'm going to move with a
- 19:18Speaker 1: six month old. I thought that being eight months pregnant
- 19:21Speaker 1: during move was hard. Yeah, that would be tough. But
- 19:24Speaker 1: you have a thirty minute move. This is gonna be
- 19:26Speaker 1: worth it. Okay, what's at thirty minute move? I was like,
- 19:30Speaker 1: is that a company thirty minute move? Okay? First headline
- 19:35Speaker 1: of the week is is a big one Bachelor Nations
- 19:39Speaker 1: Tia Booth reveals sex a first child with fiance Taylor Mock.
- 19:43Speaker 1: It's a big deal, guys. How many boys are being born?
- 19:52Speaker 1: Can you believe every gender revealed boy? With TIA's pull
- 19:58Speaker 1: on Instagram, I was like, Oh, I'm gonna vote girl
- 20:02Speaker 1: because this is when it like it starts turning around
- 20:04Speaker 1: and there's gonna be split between the sexes. Nope, it's
- 20:09Speaker 1: a boy bully Molly. So many boys born into Bachelor
- 20:14Speaker 1: Nation this year. Craziness Me Kevin and Astrid Raven and
- 20:19Speaker 1: Adam Tia and her fiance. This is wild. Am I
- 20:22Speaker 1: missing somebody? I mean Jaden Tanner and Carly and Evan
- 20:26Speaker 1: had boys in their last batch. Now, I don't know
- 20:30Speaker 1: if I said this on this podcast. It's a fit.
- 20:32Speaker 1: It's a mind boggling stat I gotta look more into it.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I'm really going off of just one doctor in one
- 20:41Speaker 1: conversation that I had. But I gotta tell you, did
- 20:44Speaker 1: you know that apparently in times of turmoil, crisis, um,
- 20:50Speaker 1: just like times of like flair in history, more boys
- 20:56Speaker 1: are born. It's a biological thing, so that we are
- 21:02Speaker 1: producing like warriors, soldiers. Yes, really, Yes, that's the coolest
- 21:09Speaker 1: thing you've heard. Our bodies are weird. I don't get
- 21:12Speaker 1: our bodies are so weird. Well, it is something to celebrate.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Something else to celebrate here. Ashley is the Bachelor's Becca Martinez,
- 21:21Speaker 1: a friend of the podcast she's been on many times before.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Also the host of Chatty Broad's is engaged to boyfriend
- 21:28Speaker 1: Grayston Leonard after nearly five years together. Yeah, congratulations to
- 21:35Speaker 1: Becca and Grayson Grayston. I am so excited for them. Um,
- 21:40Speaker 1: this is not like a surprise. They have been together
- 21:43Speaker 1: for four years. They have two kids. Um, Ruth is
- 21:46Speaker 1: I think with it's almost four or is she almost four? Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: that's crazy because they conceived Ruth three months after they
- 21:56Speaker 1: started dating. That is some pressure. And then they also
- 22:00Speaker 1: have baby frank Franklin and he is um too. He
- 22:05Speaker 1: just turned to Uh. Becca has been talking on Instagram
- 22:10Speaker 1: a lot lately, being like, I know we're not engaged,
- 22:13Speaker 1: but like I know we're gonna be engaged. And I
- 22:17Speaker 1: think she was even talking about like the ring that
- 22:19Speaker 1: she wanted and like whether or not she should buy
- 22:21Speaker 1: a ring or whatnot, the specific one that she wanted. Um,
- 22:25Speaker 1: and here is the official moment they are engaged. Really
- 22:29Speaker 1: excited for them. Um. She actually said that Grayson proposed
- 22:35Speaker 1: sorely after Ruth was born, so he proposed twice. And
- 22:40Speaker 1: she said, this is so sweet, but this is just
- 22:43Speaker 1: not the time. I'm super hormonal. I'm in the thick
- 22:46Speaker 1: of postpartum and also like our relationship wasn't in the
- 22:50Speaker 1: best place. Um, so she was She's just reminiscing on this.
- 22:55Speaker 1: In June and she said we had a lot to
- 22:57Speaker 1: sort through, a lot of talk through. Now I feel
- 23:01Speaker 1: ready to say yes, so we'll see what happens. I
- 23:05Speaker 1: do foresee a proposal sometime in the near future. So
- 23:07Speaker 1: that was just last month that she said that, I
- 23:10Speaker 1: didn't know that. That's a good little tidbit, and they
- 23:13Speaker 1: stuck together through that. Now they're engaged. They're so happy.
- 23:16Speaker 1: It's something to celebrates. Well, more dating and love stories
- 23:32Speaker 1: going on in the headlines Batchel Nations. Tyler Cameron is
- 23:35Speaker 1: dating model Page Lorenz's, according to E So multiple sources
- 23:41Speaker 1: have confirmed to E that the two have been seeing
- 23:44Speaker 1: each other for about a month. Okay, I wouldn't quite
- 23:48Speaker 1: say the men as one thousand percent off the market,
- 23:50Speaker 1: but they were spotted together over the fourth of July
- 23:53Speaker 1: weekend at the Surf Lodge in montaug Up in the Hampton's,
- 23:58Speaker 1: New York. She's eight need four year old model who
- 24:02Speaker 1: um is also the founder of the brand Dairy Boy,
- 24:05Speaker 1: and she has been previously linked to Army Hammer. So yeah,
- 24:11Speaker 1: I guess the two of them are testing the waters.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I saw the Army Hammer whatever his name is, is
- 24:18Speaker 1: now selling time shares, and like the Caymans, well you know,
- 24:21Speaker 1: that Army Hammer had quite the situation not good, not good.
- 24:25Speaker 1: So this is a better a better choice for her
- 24:29Speaker 1: um moving forward. And so they have been linked together,
- 24:32Speaker 1: well a couple that is no longer linked together, and
- 24:35Speaker 1: we couldn't get a read on our shared podcast. It
- 24:38Speaker 1: wasn't really important to us to to try to get
- 24:41Speaker 1: everything out of Michelle, and we tried to be as
- 24:44Speaker 1: respectful as possible about the break up. Those situations are hard,
- 24:47Speaker 1: but we did get the sense that something there was
- 24:50Speaker 1: more to this story, maybe than what was being uh
- 24:53Speaker 1: led on. And so now it feels like there's more
- 24:56Speaker 1: turmoil within the Nate and Michelle relationship. Michelle you U
- 25:00Speaker 1: and Nate unfollow each other on Instagram amid break up.
- 25:04Speaker 1: This according to Cosmopolitan. Okay, so Cosmo likes to use
- 25:08Speaker 1: this one instagram that Ben suggested on Instagram earlier for
- 25:12Speaker 1: all your bachelor news, and this is for all your
- 25:14Speaker 1: bachelor gossip. It's at Bachelor at Windmill. And they have
- 25:20Speaker 1: noticed that they have no longer are tagged in each
- 25:23Speaker 1: other's photos, and that could indicate that they've blocked each other.
- 25:29Speaker 1: But does that really mean they've blocked each other? Could
- 25:32Speaker 1: that be that did they just untagged each other. Can
- 25:35Speaker 1: we even know, like as people that aren't signed into
- 25:38Speaker 1: their accounts, that they have blocked each other. I don't know.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. Well, either way they're untagging,
- 25:48Speaker 1: I don't know what that means. Um, I don't even
- 25:50Speaker 1: know if you have to follow somebody to tag somebody.
- 25:53Speaker 1: But we do know that they have actually unfollowed each other.
- 25:56Speaker 1: We do know that, and so there's something going on there, right,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I mean, there's rumors this week with Nate being seen
- 26:02Speaker 1: with other contestants from Bachelor Nation, Deandra Deandra Um, who
- 26:08Speaker 1: was kind of I think rumored for a bit too,
- 26:11Speaker 1: maybe be hanging out with Rodney. There's like a whole
- 26:14Speaker 1: trying like, you know, the whole weird Bachelor Nation world
- 26:16Speaker 1: of dating is happening in front of our eyes. Uh So,
- 26:20Speaker 1: I don't we don't know the details yet. We're gonna
- 26:23Speaker 1: continue look into it, but we do know they fun
- 26:24Speaker 1: followed each other. Uh But back to happier stories. A
- 26:28Speaker 1: couple that has been together for a long time as
- 26:31Speaker 1: well as recently engaged bachel Nations. Luke Pell from JoJo's
- 26:35Speaker 1: season is engaged to Amanda Mertz. This according to e Well,
- 26:40Speaker 1: congratulations to them, um that he got down on one
- 26:44Speaker 1: knee in Rome. Literally. The caption says, when in Rome,
- 26:50Speaker 1: dot dot dot, Um, we are so thrilled to finally
- 26:52Speaker 1: share the news we're engaged. They first began dating in
- 26:55Speaker 1: two thousand eighteen. Okay, so I thought this was the
- 26:58Speaker 1: same girl that he was dating back then. Yeah. Crazy, Okay.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Then they broke up for a time, right, yeah, okay
- 27:05Speaker 1: they did. Okay, So now they're back together. Okay, so
- 27:08Speaker 1: Luke tells People Magazine it felt like a long time coming.
- 27:13Speaker 1: There are other points in my life in which I
- 27:15Speaker 1: thought I was much closer to it, and now I'm
- 27:17Speaker 1: finally here. So I'm really excited, really excited about this
- 27:21Speaker 1: new season of life. And um, the wedding planning brainstorming
- 27:27Speaker 1: has begun. They're thinking about a small destination wedding just
- 27:31Speaker 1: with close friends and family, and they've also talked about
- 27:34Speaker 1: big Texas weddings as well. He says, at this point,
- 27:38Speaker 1: we're leaning towards Texas, which is a destination for a
- 27:42Speaker 1: lot of people. He also said that there will be
- 27:44Speaker 1: plenty of Bachelor Nation family invited. I'm pumped them. They've
- 27:48Speaker 1: been together, they had the rocky road. Typically when couples
- 27:52Speaker 1: go through that kind of like if he's stage and
- 27:54Speaker 1: they come out on the other end, they're stronger, they
- 27:57Speaker 1: understand what they appreciate, so good for them. Also, congratulations
- 28:01Speaker 1: to uh Mari Peppin. She placed seventh uh in top
- 28:07Speaker 1: seven at Miss Mundo Puerto Rico pageant and in her
- 28:11Speaker 1: fiance Kenny was right there by her side. This is
- 28:13Speaker 1: a huge accomplishment, something very very impressive. So mar has
- 28:18Speaker 1: been representing your hometown Liquido in the Miss Mundo Puerto
- 28:23Speaker 1: Rico pageant. It's not her first pageant. She was actually
- 28:27Speaker 1: previously Miss Maryland USA in and she placed the top
- 28:32Speaker 1: ten in top ten at the MS Merry the Miss
- 28:34Speaker 1: USA pageant, and over the weekend she announced that she
- 28:38Speaker 1: plays seventh at Miss Mundo Puerto Rico and she was
- 28:43Speaker 1: just on Instagram thanking everyone for the support, including her
- 28:47Speaker 1: wonderful fiance Kenny. She said, although I didn't walk away
- 28:51Speaker 1: with the crown, I'm so freaking proud of myself for
- 28:53Speaker 1: making it as far as I did, for accomplishing so
- 28:56Speaker 1: many goals along the way, and for proving to myself
- 28:59Speaker 1: that I could do it. She said, it was a
- 29:02Speaker 1: long and often stressful journey, but I pushed myself to
- 29:05Speaker 1: stay committed in focus and kept my dream of carrying
- 29:08Speaker 1: Puerto Rico across my chest as motivation. I've grown in
- 29:12Speaker 1: so many ways, gained a few new sisters for life,
- 29:15Speaker 1: and learned so much about myself and embrace living in
- 29:18Speaker 1: my beautiful Puerto Rico for the longest amount of time
- 29:21Speaker 1: since I was a baby. Um. She also says, um,
- 29:28Speaker 1: I'm so thankful for my family and friends and supporters.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I mean so much of me, especially especially, and I
- 29:33Speaker 1: want to especially recognize my amazing fiance Kenny for first
- 29:38Speaker 1: of all convincing me to compete, but also supporting me,
- 29:41Speaker 1: encouraging me, motivating me, and keeping up with everything this
- 29:44Speaker 1: journey through our ways. I love you always. You know
- 29:47Speaker 1: they are. They're strong and adorable there too. It's so awesome.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I feel like they were maybe like that couple that
- 29:54Speaker 1: people are like. One can't believe they're actually going to
- 29:58Speaker 1: get engaged now, right because like they had their rocky nous,
- 30:02Speaker 1: a lot of rockiness, a whole demi situation in paradise
- 30:06Speaker 1: they left engage and then you're like, they're probably gonna
- 30:09Speaker 1: be the first ones to break up over a year strong.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Now it's really yeah, congratulations with two of them. Congratulations
- 30:17Speaker 1: tomorrow if you're doing this placing seventh just I mean,
- 30:21Speaker 1: I cannot imagine the nerves that it takes to get
- 30:25Speaker 1: up on stage and do this. But she did it
- 30:28Speaker 1: well and we're proud of her. Here, Okay, it's time
- 30:31Speaker 1: for a couple of Bachelorette headlines as we close out
- 30:34Speaker 1: this week's celebration. The The Eleventh Day UH podcast for
- 30:41Speaker 1: the almost famous celebration of the Bachelorette airing tonight, Jesse Palmer,
- 30:47Speaker 1: the host of this show, says Bachelorette rules will be
- 30:51Speaker 1: broken due to and I quote, unique situations of the
- 30:56Speaker 1: two leads. This according to people, So this is what
- 31:00Speaker 1: Jesse says. He says, the first time this has ever happened,
- 31:02Speaker 1: having two bachelortes the entire season. So I think a
- 31:05Speaker 1: lot of rules are going to be broken, he says,
- 31:07Speaker 1: because this is such a unique situation and a unique environment,
- 31:11Speaker 1: they're going to need to make decisions that were not
- 31:14Speaker 1: accustomed to seeing before. Um always, and he says, this
- 31:18Speaker 1: is going to be a journey that we have never experienced.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I yeah, So basically I think that they're going to
- 31:25Speaker 1: design the show so that the girls are less pitted
- 31:28Speaker 1: against each other as much as possible, and I think
- 31:33Speaker 1: that they're going to have to be a little unconventional,
- 31:37Speaker 1: as Jesse says, And I wonder if they like went
- 31:40Speaker 1: in with that open vibe like, oh yeah, well we'll
- 31:43Speaker 1: change the rules up a little bit. Well, there's there's
- 31:46Speaker 1: no rules, right, but we kind of know that there's
- 31:47Speaker 1: usually rules, Like usually we can't just cancel rose ceremonies. Um,
- 31:53Speaker 1: but can you think of any other rules? I can't
- 31:58Speaker 1: what are the rules? Rules? I think like there's like
- 32:01Speaker 1: it's formulaic because the fact of like a rose ceremony
- 32:05Speaker 1: has never been canceled, but we've had like rose ceremony
- 32:07Speaker 1: cocktail parties obviously always canceled. Um, what else is there
- 32:12Speaker 1: like keeping what if you like went multiple weeks out
- 32:15Speaker 1: a rose ceremony and you're like, I'm just gonna get
- 32:17Speaker 1: to know these guys for a long time. I mean,
- 32:19Speaker 1: it's just it's it's impossible because of the staffing. So
- 32:23Speaker 1: that's like the only thing I remember them ever being
- 32:28Speaker 1: putting their foot down. Only they told you that because
- 32:31Speaker 1: you wanted to like skip rose ceremony or something. I
- 32:34Speaker 1: was like, how cool would it be if night one
- 32:36Speaker 1: there is nobody going home? Because I was that's just
- 32:39Speaker 1: a weird thing to do, is to send people home
- 32:41Speaker 1: at night one. And I brought it up and they're like, yeah,
- 32:44Speaker 1: that works, but there's not enough bunks in the house. Okay, good,
- 32:49Speaker 1: there's only a limited number of bunks. And then second,
- 32:52Speaker 1: especially especially when you start traveling, you know, there's a
- 32:57Speaker 1: limited number of airfare. Uh, producers that travel with the show,
- 33:03Speaker 1: you just have to. And so that's the only thing
- 33:05Speaker 1: I remember them ever saying, hey, you have to have
- 33:07Speaker 1: a road ceremony. Well, final headline, all of this conversation
- 33:14Speaker 1: that we've had for months now leading up to this season,
- 33:18Speaker 1: we finally have a response from Gabby and Rachel, two
- 33:21Speaker 1: leads The Bachelorette. Gabby and Rachel address criticism of their
- 33:27Speaker 1: two lead season. They addressed criticism interesting. So Rachel starts
- 33:34Speaker 1: out by saying, this is just so different from anything
- 33:37Speaker 1: everyone has ever seen. Not only do they get to
- 33:39Speaker 1: see two love stories, but they also get to see
- 33:41Speaker 1: our friendship as well. So I'm excited for them to
- 33:43Speaker 1: get the inside on that as well as the love stories.
- 33:47Speaker 1: It's just gonna be really great, and then Gabby echoed
- 33:50Speaker 1: her sentiments by saying that, um, we didn't know anything
- 33:55Speaker 1: truly going in. We found out in real time with
- 33:58Speaker 1: the rest of America. Well maybe not with the rest
- 34:00Speaker 1: of America since we don't get to see until later,
- 34:02Speaker 1: but you guys know what she means. So a lot
- 34:04Speaker 1: of it was trial and error, Rachel and I working together,
- 34:09Speaker 1: listening to ourselves, figuring out was the best for both
- 34:11Speaker 1: of us. We had lots of heart decisions, and ultimately
- 34:15Speaker 1: we just followed our hearts. Um, she said. Um. Gabby
- 34:18Speaker 1: continues to say that we started off dating the same
- 34:22Speaker 1: pool of men, but naturally, when you're working towards a
- 34:25Speaker 1: life partner, you have to have your own journey. You
- 34:28Speaker 1: need to find who's best for you individually, because this
- 34:31Speaker 1: person is going to be potentially spending the rest of
- 34:34Speaker 1: your life with you, and you have to do that
- 34:38Speaker 1: on your own, of course. And then when they talked
- 34:42Speaker 1: about what kind of man they're looking for, Rachel said
- 34:46Speaker 1: she's looking for somebody who's supportive, somebody loyal, somebody ready
- 34:49Speaker 1: to commit, and Gabby looking for somebody with humor, emotional intelligence,
- 34:54Speaker 1: and stability. So hopefully there's not a lot of rollover
- 34:59Speaker 1: as far is their love interest, because you know that
- 35:02Speaker 1: there's gonna be one or two that they're bummed out
- 35:07Speaker 1: over because like one preferred like one guy who Rachel
- 35:11Speaker 1: wanted preferred Gabby and vice versa. Like that's gonna suck
- 35:15Speaker 1: and it's ultimately gotta happen, but hopefully it's not a
- 35:19Speaker 1: huge deal. Hopefully it's not somebody that they thought was
- 35:23Speaker 1: going to be one of their like top two or three.
- 35:26Speaker 1: It's gonna be interesting. We'll find out tonight as this
- 35:29Speaker 1: season of The Bachelorette kicks off. We're excited. We hope
- 35:32Speaker 1: you tune in. It's gonna be on ABC. Uh and
- 35:35Speaker 1: we'll be back again tomorrow to break down this week's
- 35:38Speaker 1: premiere episode, along with an interview with the leads, Gabby
- 35:43Speaker 1: and Rachel, right here on Almost Famous Podcast. Until then,
- 35:46Speaker 1: I've been been, I've been actually talked to you guys tomorrow. Bye.
