- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's guest is one of the biggest content creators in
- 0:03Speaker 1: the world. He's an entrepreneur, a YouTube guru, and he
- 0:08Speaker 1: has created more energy and excitement into the world of
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving back than possibly anyone. He has a new show
- 0:18Speaker 1: called Beast Games, where a record-breaking 1,000 people compete for
- 0:23Speaker 1: the Grateful to finally catch up with the one and
- 0:31Speaker 1: only Mr.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Beast.
- 0:32Speaker 3: So is this, is it already started?
- 0:38Speaker 2: We going?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll start right now, man. Let's do it. Mr. Beast, Jimmy,
- 0:55Speaker 1: nice to see you today.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Likewise.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Bro, that's awesome, man. So Beast Games, that's the show.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah. So before this, we were showing on episode one
- 1:02Speaker 2: of a show I have coming out December 19th. What'd
- 1:05Speaker 2: you think of it? We watched it, and then he
- 1:07Speaker 2: started talking. His team was like, hit the cameras, like, wait, wait, wait.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Now I'm dying to know. What'd you think? Oh, I
- 1:12Speaker 2: thought a lot of things, man.
- 1:13Speaker 1: First of all, I thought that you are obviously, you're
- 1:16Speaker 1: this Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka kind of guy. um
- 1:20Speaker 1: william wallace of finances type of um energy going on
- 1:25Speaker 1: okay you know there's a lot of that a lot
- 1:28Speaker 1: like i've never seen a show where every i mean
- 1:33Speaker 1: a couple minutes there's a there's like another uh twist
- 1:38Speaker 1: of possibility right yeah i kind of realized how many
- 1:41Speaker 1: game shows are missing so many little elements in there
- 1:44Speaker 1: where they could manipulate the situation more or create more
- 1:48Speaker 1: of an environment for like um competitors in the game
- 1:51Speaker 1: to make choices that would affect them and others, you know?
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah. And like basically having layers and stuff like that.
- 1:57Speaker 2: But the big thing is no one's ever set up
- 2:00Speaker 2: like that many cameras before because it's a logistical nightmare.
- 2:03Speaker 2: So it's hard to do these kinds of things normally
- 2:06Speaker 2: unscripted because like, you know, we, we had, unfathomable amounts
- 2:10Speaker 2: of footage, like over 100 years of footage from that episode.
- 2:13Speaker 2: 100 years of footage? Yeah, because, I mean, we had
- 2:15Speaker 2: to have over 100 people work on it in post.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So it's like to be able to do something at
- 2:20Speaker 2: that scale, even just like to set up the cameras
- 2:22Speaker 2: and edit and everything is, I mean, no one's ever
- 2:26Speaker 2: done it before.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It's diabolical almost, you know? Yeah, you said there's a
- 2:29Speaker 1: lot of world records that were broken in the shooting
- 2:32Speaker 1: of this series?
- 2:35Speaker 2: Yeah, 40 Guinness World Records.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, we have like so many plaques now that we
- 2:39Speaker 2: have up on our wall. I'm basically making a wall
- 2:42Speaker 2: out of Guinness plaques just from the show. What are
- 2:46Speaker 2: some of the records you guys broke? Most contestants ever
- 2:49Speaker 2: in a show. Largest cash prize in a show. Most
- 2:51Speaker 2: cameras recording at once in a show. Most people, which
- 2:55Speaker 2: you saw. And a show like most money given away
- 2:58Speaker 2: in the first episode of a show. Just like stuff
- 3:00Speaker 2: like that.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, that's the most people probably since 9-11, I
- 3:03Speaker 1: would think.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 3:05Speaker 1: And we might have to take that out. Yeah, and
- 3:08Speaker 1: I shouldn't have said that. I'll say something else. Yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I haven't seen that many people at the same time.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Wait, why was there a cut before you say what
- 3:15Speaker 2: you're saying right now? There's just, we needed something to...
- 3:18Speaker 2: He had to use the bathroom.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I had already soiled the conversation. Oh, that's the
- 3:26Speaker 1: most people at once that I'd seen since, oh, since
- 3:30Speaker 1: I was in the parking lot of a widespread panic concert,
- 3:32Speaker 1: you know, but that was LSD.
- 3:36Speaker 2: That kind of works a little. Yeah, I think that's... Honestly,
- 3:39Speaker 2: you should keep the first one. Okay, well, there we go, dude.
- 3:42Speaker 2: You said it, not me. That's a great point.
- 3:44Speaker 1: You make the choices, man. Yeah, do you feel like
- 3:47Speaker 1: this wizard? Because as I'm watching, I'm like, man, there's
- 3:50Speaker 1: so many things. I'm like, where does the motivation come from?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Is it to... Like, do you get so... much joy
- 3:56Speaker 1: out of like having the manipulation of the situation? Is
- 3:59Speaker 1: it giving away the money? Is it, cause there's so
- 4:02Speaker 1: many moments in there where I'm like watching people's feelings change. Like,
- 4:06Speaker 1: what is it for you that like, or have you
- 4:07Speaker 1: been able to figure out? Cause you've done so many
- 4:09Speaker 1: of these types of, um, competitions and opportunities for people, right? Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I mean, this, the thing is you, I feel like
- 4:18Speaker 2: I am motivated by a lot of things and these
- 4:20Speaker 2: kinds of game shows, it's fun to like create environments
- 4:23Speaker 2: that have never been created for. And just like, Well,
- 4:25Speaker 2: let's just see kind of what people do. Like a
- 4:27Speaker 2: lot of that is just like mass behavioral psychology. Like
- 4:30Speaker 2: if you offer someone money to eliminate other people, how
- 4:33Speaker 2: much money would it take? You know? Um, so it's
- 4:36Speaker 2: kind of a little bit of that, but it's also,
- 4:38Speaker 2: I just like making great content and like, I like do,
- 4:41Speaker 2: you know, making things you can't find anywhere else. Cause
- 4:42Speaker 2: it's just fun to like, see how the world reacts
- 4:45Speaker 2: to it. You know? And so in this instance or
- 4:47Speaker 2: in a lot of what we do, like we, one
- 4:49Speaker 2: time we put, we just put a big circle on
- 4:51Speaker 2: the ground. We put a hundred people in it. And
- 4:53Speaker 2: we just were like, whoever leaves last gets half a
- 4:55Speaker 2: million dollars. And then it's just like, how long does
- 4:57Speaker 2: it take? Who's going to leave? Like, those are the
- 5:00Speaker 2: kinds of things I like personally and just curious on,
- 5:04Speaker 2: like what the fuck's going to happen? You know? Yeah.
- 5:06Speaker 1: What's like one thing you've learned then about people's psychology?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Have you learned, or does it change a lot? Like,
- 5:11Speaker 1: are you learned, like, are there some general rules you've
- 5:13Speaker 1: learned that people will like behave around money or that
- 5:16Speaker 1: sort of thing?
- 5:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah. That's an interesting question. That's, I honestly, I,
- 5:22Speaker 2: feel like people are a lot nicer than you would think.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Like they're not as, uh, uh, they don't tend. And
- 5:32Speaker 2: maybe it's because when we do it, they know the
- 5:34Speaker 2: video is going to be seen by a hundred million people.
- 5:35Speaker 2: So they're, they're thinking of their personal image. But a
- 5:38Speaker 2: lot of times I have given people the opportunity to
- 5:40Speaker 2: like screw other people over for some money. And usually
- 5:43Speaker 2: they don't take it or they like push, like it
- 5:46Speaker 2: requires way more money than you would think, you know,
- 5:48Speaker 2: like someone, who'd theoretically be making $ 30, 000 a year, and
- 5:51Speaker 2: you'd offer him 10 grand, but it means this other
- 5:53Speaker 2: person gets eliminated or gets punished in the challenge. And
- 5:57Speaker 2: a lot of times, like, they'll say no, you know?
- 5:59Speaker 2: And I'm like, whoa, that's not an easy decision to make. Like,
- 6:02Speaker 2: there's some integrity here, you know?
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you mentioned that when we were taping that you
- 6:06Speaker 1: were surprised by some people's integrity.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Exactly. Especially during this show, like, I think... sometimes throw large,
- 6:12Speaker 2: copious sums of money to eliminate other people, to, like,
- 6:15Speaker 2: offer it to certain people, and they say no, and
- 6:16Speaker 2: I was always just like, what the fuck?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Wow.
- 6:19Speaker 2: This is crazy.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Is there one age group or gender group or any
- 6:23Speaker 1: demographic you can give me on who it seems like
- 6:26Speaker 1: after doing a lot of challenges where you've gotten to
- 6:28Speaker 1: see some integrity?
- 6:30Speaker 2: No, it's pretty... This is 10 episodes. If we watched
- 6:34Speaker 2: it all, you would see... There's 10 episodes of that? Yeah,
- 6:36Speaker 2: you would see that it's, like, pretty widespread across the board.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I mean, maybe.
- 6:41Speaker 1: I don't think a senior citizen, some seniors can't make
- 6:43Speaker 1: it through that.
- 6:44Speaker 2: You saw that one 70-year-old, she passed. She passed away? No,
- 6:48Speaker 2: passed the challenge. Oh, God. I hope she doesn't pass
- 6:51Speaker 2: away before the show airs. That would be bad.
- 6:54Speaker 1: No, I don't think people, some seniors, I don't know
- 6:56Speaker 1: if I would let one of my grandparents watch this.
- 6:59Speaker 1: just the levels of.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Your heart beating.
- 7:01Speaker 1: There's a lot.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 2: That's what I was going for. What, what I really
- 7:04Speaker 2: wanted is like in my YouTube videos, sometimes people say
- 7:07Speaker 2: they don't have enough emotion or they lack the storytelling
- 7:10Speaker 2: or whatever. And part of it is like, it's just YouTube.
- 7:13Speaker 2: When you go to like a stream platform, like Amazon
- 7:15Speaker 2: prime video or Netflix, you're like sitting down to watch
- 7:18Speaker 2: something usually for like hours and you're to watch like
- 7:21Speaker 2: this longer story and show. But when you go to YouTube,
- 7:24Speaker 2: more than likely like, you know, you're going there for
- 7:26Speaker 2: a quicker hit. You're not sitting down expecting to watch
- 7:29Speaker 2: a 10 episode series. Like you're just clicking on videos
- 7:31Speaker 2: and watching. So content put up on YouTube is just different.
- 7:34Speaker 2: It's like, you know, series don't do as well. And you,
- 7:37Speaker 2: you know, and so it's much easier to build characters
- 7:40Speaker 2: and feel emotion over these 10 episodes, six hours of
- 7:42Speaker 2: content than it is in a 20 minute video. Cause
- 7:44Speaker 2: you have like 10 minutes to build them up, but
- 7:46Speaker 2: then you got to wind the story down because the
- 7:47Speaker 2: video is going to end in 10 minutes. You know
- 7:48Speaker 2: what I mean? So my big thing here was like,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I really wanted you to feel something. And I wanted to,
- 7:54Speaker 2: like flex those muscles and like actually build characters and
- 7:57Speaker 2: like give emotion and things like that. You know, like
- 8:00Speaker 2: when we were watching that, even though I've already seen
- 8:02Speaker 2: it like a hundred times already, I could feel my
- 8:04Speaker 2: heart pounding. I mean, or it might've been the Celsius
- 8:06Speaker 2: I was drinking. I don't know, but like, I really
- 8:08Speaker 2: could feel the emotion. That's what I want. Like when
- 8:11Speaker 2: people watch the show, I want them to have very
- 8:13Speaker 2: intense feelings.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, I mean, I definitely did, man. And the
- 8:18Speaker 1: interesting thing to me too, is like a lot of
- 8:20Speaker 1: times with game shows and, um, it's the contestants that
- 8:23Speaker 1: you start to get to know, right? Yeah. But with this,
- 8:26Speaker 1: it's not the contestants.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Well, you will later on, but because there's a thousand
- 8:30Speaker 2: of them, first I got to lay down the hammer,
- 8:33Speaker 2: ask 900 of them or whatever, and then we can
- 8:36Speaker 2: build them up. Ah, I see. And I definitely learned
- 8:39Speaker 2: why no one ever does stuff with a thousand, because
- 8:42Speaker 2: that's the most contestants ever. It's a lot to like,
- 8:45Speaker 2: just everything is, you know, a thousand hotel rooms a night.
- 8:48Speaker 2: You know what I mean? If the hotel room is, $ 200,
- 8:51Speaker 2: that's $ 200, 000 a night in just hotel rooms and you're
- 8:53Speaker 2: feeding them. Every little thing is so expensive when you
- 8:58Speaker 2: times it by 1,000. To record 1,000 people, you need 1,000 cameras.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Just to buy 1,000 cameras is a bitch. And then
- 9:05Speaker 2: to hook all the cameras up to the server, we
- 9:07Speaker 2: need 56 miles of cable to run it over there.
- 9:10Speaker 2: And then you need fucking 250 camera people to.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Check in on them. And so it's like, I know
- 9:15Speaker 2: why people don't do reality shows at this scale because
- 9:18Speaker 2: it's so fucking expensive. Yeah, what was the total budget
- 9:22Speaker 2: of this show? Can you, I want to tell you,
- 9:26Speaker 2: but can you just believe it so it doesn't make
- 9:28Speaker 2: it in? For sure.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Can we believe it in some artistic way so it
- 9:31Speaker 1: at least looks exciting?
- 9:32Speaker 2: No, just be like, what the fuck? Or do this? Sure,
- 9:36Speaker 2: put that over my mouth. Okay. We spent $ $ $.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Oh my God. Yeah. I hope my mom's alright. I
- 9:46Speaker 2: didn't mean it. Don't cancel me.
- 9:48Speaker 1: No, I'm just trying to give some different... Trying to
- 9:51Speaker 1: give some different reactions.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Put that in the intro.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Oh, my God, bro. You spent that much on this?
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, because it gets crazier. Like that first one, we built...
- 10:00Speaker 2: a thousand towers. And those are real towers that have
- 10:04Speaker 2: actual hydraulic press doors that have to be safety proof
- 10:07Speaker 2: with giant foam and crash pad at the bottom with
- 10:09Speaker 2: the light system, right? Because we're turning them red and green.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And then we had to build custom software to connect
- 10:14Speaker 2: it all where you press a button and the lights change.
- 10:16Speaker 2: And then we had to rig, like I told you,
- 10:18Speaker 2: a thousand cameras in there. To a giant control center.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Like just that first episode alone was, I mean, crazy, man.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And do you have to take it all down at
- 10:26Speaker 1: the end? Yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah. I didn't, I don't own that building. Yeah. Cause
- 10:29Speaker 2: the problem is like we needed six massive hangers. So
- 10:34Speaker 2: like we basically in Canada, there's like these six giant
- 10:38Speaker 2: airport hangers. And we were just like, Hey, can we
- 10:40Speaker 2: use those and converted them all to these big sets?
- 10:42Speaker 2: and then right outside is a field, and that's where
- 10:44Speaker 2: we built that city, which was also, so I have
- 10:47Speaker 2: in this field, at one point, I have like 800
- 10:49Speaker 2: people working over here, just building a city in the
- 10:51Speaker 2: middle of a field, and I've got like 600 construction
- 10:53Speaker 2: people in these six hangers, just building these other sets,
- 10:56Speaker 2: and then I have all these, I mean, at some points,
- 10:58Speaker 2: we had like over 2,000 people on set, just in
- 11:01Speaker 2: this town in Canada, so it was crazy.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And were you employing just a lot of locals? I mean,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you would just set up, you would put out the
- 11:08Speaker 1: employment opportunities in advance?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, we, we worked with, uh, two different unions
- 11:12Speaker 2: and then, yeah, we hired a bunch of people locally
- 11:14Speaker 2: and things like that. So yeah, it created a lot
- 11:16Speaker 2: of jobs locally there.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And where does your joy come from? Like, cause you
- 11:20Speaker 1: give away, you've given away a lot of money, right?
- 11:22Speaker 1: And you give away a lot of joy.
- 11:23Speaker 2: While I'm watching.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Like there's something also like there's moments in there as
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm watching, I'm like, Oh, what would I do in
- 11:28Speaker 1: that instance?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 11:29Speaker 1: That comes into my head. And then you see the reactions.
- 11:31Speaker 1: If somebody screws somebody over and you see the reaction,
- 11:34Speaker 1: if somebody is get screwed over and you kind of
- 11:37Speaker 1: think like, okay, well, what feeling is would I want
- 11:39Speaker 1: to have, you know? And, and then like in the
- 11:41Speaker 1: moment you're like, oh yeah, I would definitely take the money.
- 11:43Speaker 1: But then right now, looking back, when I start to
- 11:45Speaker 1: even think about some of those moments, I'd be like, man,
- 11:48Speaker 1: it must've been really tough to leave and have those
- 11:50Speaker 1: people feel. And so maybe I wouldn't have, right. It's just,
- 11:52Speaker 1: it's interesting. This is a viewer, all the little moments
- 11:54Speaker 1: that I kind of navigate and then kind of learn
- 11:56Speaker 1: about myself. But what do you get? Like, like you
- 12:00Speaker 1: give away so much money. Do you feel like you're
- 12:01Speaker 1: like making up for something in a past life? Or like,
- 12:05Speaker 1: is there something that, like you didn't grow up with
- 12:08Speaker 1: a lot of money, you know?
- 12:08Speaker 2: No.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And so was it, do you, like when you think
- 12:11Speaker 1: back on little moments, like did you see somebody give
- 12:14Speaker 1: some money once and it made you feel excited? Or like,
- 12:17Speaker 1: are you able to connect any of those dots as
- 12:19Speaker 1: you get a little bit older and have some more
- 12:20Speaker 1: breadth of time?
- 12:21Speaker 2: You know, that's where I should come up with this,
- 12:25Speaker 2: you know, heart throbbing story of like, I just want to,
- 12:28Speaker 2: you know, help people because I couldn't when I was
- 12:31Speaker 2: younger or whatever. But the honest truth is like, I
- 12:34Speaker 2: know how to make content go viral. We're really good
- 12:36Speaker 2: at making good content. And I just believe a world
- 12:39Speaker 2: where I help people is just more fun than a
- 12:41Speaker 2: world there where I don't. And that's kind of really it.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I just, I've noticed where, you know, videos where we
- 12:47Speaker 2: do help people or give away money, I tend to
- 12:49Speaker 2: just be a little happier, enjoy it a little bit more.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And so I just lean more that way. That's cool.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I mean, that's the truth. I mean, I could, I
- 12:56Speaker 2: could one time for fun. Cause like everyone has these
- 13:00Speaker 2: like PR publicists and PR people. I just talked to one.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I was like, huh, what advice would you have for me?
- 13:05Speaker 2: And they're like, you need to come up with a
- 13:07Speaker 2: better story on why you help people. And I was like, Well,
- 13:09Speaker 2: what I... Because this is what I usually say. It's like, well,
- 13:11Speaker 2: the truth is it just is slightly more fun than
- 13:14Speaker 2: when I don't. They're like, no, you need to come
- 13:16Speaker 2: up with a better one. Like, you know, like you
- 13:18Speaker 2: were saying, like, you know, say like you helped a
- 13:20Speaker 2: homeless person and brought you immense joy and all this stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 2: And I was just like, yeah, that feels kind of fake.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Yeah. So, yeah, that's... Yeah, sometimes that's just the truth.
- 13:28Speaker 2: It is.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And it's a very simple truth. Yeah, I like helping
- 13:31Speaker 1: somebody out.
- 13:32Speaker 2: It's just more fun than if I don't.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's scary to think that though. Like, recently I
- 13:37Speaker 1: was given... giving some money to some people that had
- 13:40Speaker 1: been suffered from a storm, right? Um, from some flooding and, uh,
- 13:45Speaker 1: But I'm not saying that to make myself look exciting
- 13:47Speaker 1: or anything, but it was nothing like this. And if
- 13:50Speaker 1: they see that and then hear what I get, they're like, oh,
- 13:52Speaker 1: this guy, this guy's.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Well, I mean, this is just our reality show. But yeah,
- 13:55Speaker 2: in general, I don't know if you've watched too many
- 13:57Speaker 2: of our videos, but we built 100 wells in Africa.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I know. Yeah, you guys have given a
- 14:02Speaker 1: lot of stuff. You've taken plastics out of the ocean.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but the wells stuff, that one was interesting or
- 14:09Speaker 2: really eye-opening for me because we were, one of them,
- 14:11Speaker 2: like we went like four hours into the middle of
- 14:13Speaker 2: nowhere and you're like, you know, in places where these
- 14:16Speaker 2: people don't have internet, like they're, I mean, really intense poverty.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And it's like, it's pretty eyeopening. I would recommend if
- 14:23Speaker 2: anyone ever has an opportunity to like just work on
- 14:26Speaker 2: a project or do something in places like that, it's
- 14:27Speaker 2: like crazy to think that we're on the same planet,
- 14:31Speaker 2: you know what I mean? And people who like don't
- 14:34Speaker 2: even have access to clean water and have to walk
- 14:36Speaker 2: an hour every morning to go to a river, to
- 14:38Speaker 2: get water but then you look upstream and there's literally
- 14:41Speaker 2: cows shitting in that same water that they're you know
- 14:43Speaker 2: drinking out of because that's like that's the world they
- 14:45Speaker 2: live in and like we have anyways i don't know.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Yeah no look no i think putting things into perspective
- 14:51Speaker 1: right changes things for people exactly were you was did
- 14:54Speaker 1: you have to like kind of achieve a certain amount
- 14:56Speaker 1: of finances before you were able to start giving away
- 14:58Speaker 1: finances kind.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Of no i've always like my first brand deal was
- 15:02Speaker 2: ten thousand dollars and I just walked outside and gave
- 15:04Speaker 2: it to a homeless person. So I've just always done
- 15:07Speaker 2: it because it's just like, you know, if I do this,
- 15:11Speaker 2: then hopefully this video makes $ 15, 000 and then I'll give
- 15:14Speaker 2: away $ 15, 000. And then hopefully that video makes $ 20, 000 and
- 15:16Speaker 2: I'll give away 20. And so I just had that
- 15:18Speaker 2: idea of where I was like, what if I just
- 15:20Speaker 2: give away the money and then it makes more money
- 15:22Speaker 2: and I give that away. And then I've just kind
- 15:24Speaker 2: of been doing that for like eight years now.
- 15:26Speaker 1: And now you're at $ 5 million, which is the largest
- 15:28Speaker 1: amount that has ever been given away in a game show.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Or in a reality show, in any show, really. No
- 15:33Speaker 2: one's ever given away. I think Squid Game was the
- 15:34Speaker 2: most of $ 4, 560, 000. Wow. And did you want to beat
- 15:38Speaker 2: that kind of? Oh, yeah. That's why the number was
- 15:40Speaker 2: $ 5 million. But we also gave away like, you know,
- 15:43Speaker 2: another $ 15 plus million on top of that just throughout
- 15:45Speaker 2: the show.
- 15:46Speaker 1: No, I love it because you hear so many companies
- 15:49Speaker 1: that just like it's about their bottom and it's like,
- 15:51Speaker 1: This is like the opposite of that. It's like, let's
- 15:53Speaker 1: do something good and let's make a bunch of money,
- 15:56Speaker 1: but then let's.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Give it away.
- 15:57Speaker 1: It's like the opposite of like all the other treacherous
- 16:01Speaker 1: type of capitalism that you hear about, you know?
- 16:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, it's interesting because now that I've done
- 16:08Speaker 2: like a streaming show or whatever, it's like a lot
- 16:13Speaker 2: of these shows, their cash prize is like $ 250, 000, $ 500, 000.
- 16:14Speaker 2: It's like, I wonder why they don't, give away more
- 16:20Speaker 2: you know what i mean like you'll watch this whole
- 16:22Speaker 2: you know 10 episode show just to see who wins
- 16:25Speaker 2: 250k and it's like the first three minutes of our
- 16:27Speaker 2: show we gave away a million dollars yeah you're like
- 16:30Speaker 2: yeah this is yeah so it'll be interesting i'm curious
- 16:32Speaker 2: to see how people react to it because i just
- 16:34Speaker 2: but anyways you're.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Gonna make other tips yeah dude we had a dude
- 16:38Speaker 1: he would give you 10 bucks to look at his
- 16:40Speaker 1: butt right wait what yeah when i was a you know,
- 16:44Speaker 1: when I was younger than I am now, for sure.
- 16:45Speaker 1: He was a child. I don't want to say a child,
- 16:47Speaker 1: but you just pretend I was a child. Right. Cause
- 16:50Speaker 1: I was, and this guy would give you 10 bucks
- 16:52Speaker 1: to look at his butt.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Not up close, far away, you know, but it was like, So, yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 1: that guy could have given us a lot more.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Do you need to file a police report? I have
- 17:02Speaker 2: no idea, dude.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But I'm just saying, it's like everybody has a game show,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and you're like, yeah, people, these prizes are cheap, you know?
- 17:09Speaker 2: That's kind of what I was getting at. Anyway, we
- 17:12Speaker 2: can take that part out. So you were on a
- 17:13Speaker 2: game show, and a guy gave you $ 10 to look
- 17:15Speaker 2: at his butt.
- 17:16Speaker 1: We had a dude in our area, I'll be honest
- 17:17Speaker 1: with you, he'd give you $ 10, he'd walk off a
- 17:19Speaker 1: little bit, he'd kind of spread his butt a little bit,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and you had to kind of go like that at him,
- 17:23Speaker 1: and you got the money, you know? OK, so but
- 17:27Speaker 1: it wasn't it wasn't close up and it wasn't even
- 17:28Speaker 1: super invasive. It was like, you know, I guess it's.
- 17:32Speaker 2: How old were you at the time? I was old
- 17:36Speaker 2: enough to be.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Like, hey, this guy's kind of a crazy guy, you know,
- 17:39Speaker 1: but he's also cheap, you know, to probably 13, 12, 11.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Oh, gosh. You know, but anyway, you sure you don't
- 17:46Speaker 2: want to file a police report? You sure you don't
- 17:49Speaker 2: want to take care of that? He's not currently still
- 17:54Speaker 2: offering 12-year-olds $ 10 licking his butt because we might want
- 17:57Speaker 2: to put an end to that. Yeah, you're right, actually.
- 17:59Speaker 1: And maybe that's the type of game we can go
- 18:00Speaker 1: to do next is trapping guys like that, you know?
- 18:03Speaker 1: $ 12 butt games.
- 18:05Speaker 2: That's different. Anyway, I shouldn't have said anything like that.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Just so our viewers know, right?
- 18:12Speaker 1: I know you have the largest YouTube channel that exists,
- 18:15Speaker 1: the most that they can have on there. You have
- 18:18Speaker 1: more subscribers than I think people in America.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I haven't thought of that.
- 18:24Speaker 1: What's the population of America? Sorry to cut you off, Jimmy.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Like 300 million, right?
- 18:29Speaker 1: Almost four.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Oh, it's almost four?
- 18:31Speaker 1: Is it?
- 18:31Speaker 2: Let's see, America population. 334? Oh, yeah, we're about the same.
- 18:35Speaker 2: We're at 330. Yeah, so we're tied with America. Yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 2: I guess it's... I mean, I.
- 18:44Speaker 2: It's crazy, man. Like eight years ago, I was in
- 18:46Speaker 2: high school. So it's kind of funny when I think
- 18:48Speaker 2: about it because eight years ago, I'm raising my hand
- 18:49Speaker 2: desk to use the bathroom. And then, yeah, I guess
- 18:51Speaker 2: now we have the same subscribers as America.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty... Yeah, that's a difference. Pretty wild how
- 18:57Speaker 2: it happens. It's a lot, man. You know what's interesting?
- 19:01Speaker 2: Because you're talking about like our large subscriber count is
- 19:04Speaker 2: it's like when I had like... 10 million subscribers. I
- 19:08Speaker 2: was like, I thought this is fame. Like this is,
- 19:11Speaker 2: you know, like I would go into Walmart and I
- 19:14Speaker 2: don't know, maybe one person would ask for a photo
- 19:16Speaker 2: and it was like, this is fucking cool. This is
- 19:18Speaker 2: what it's like. But you don't, there's just like such
- 19:21Speaker 2: a big difference where, and this is gonna sound obvious,
- 19:24Speaker 2: but where I'm at now than when I had like
- 19:26Speaker 2: 10 million subscribers or where I was like four years ago.
- 19:28Speaker 2: And it's, it keeps getting crazier every year and every year. Like,
- 19:33Speaker 2: like people, will follow my car to like, you know,
- 19:36Speaker 2: if I'm out and they see me, they'll like try
- 19:38Speaker 2: to stalk me so they can see where I live. Like,
- 19:40Speaker 2: you know, that's like, that kind of stuff didn't happen
- 19:43Speaker 2: four years ago or almost anything I do ends up
- 19:47Speaker 2: on the internet, right? Like, one time, I was like
- 19:50Speaker 2: at a drive. Every time I go to a drive,
- 19:52Speaker 2: it's like flipping a coin on whether or not like
- 19:54Speaker 2: someone's going to go, Mr.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Beast.
- 19:55Speaker 2: And then all the people in the background run to
- 19:57Speaker 2: the window and it's going to be this thing that's,
- 19:59Speaker 2: you know, kind of intense or intense. If it's just
- 20:02Speaker 2: like a really, really old person. And I'm like always
- 20:05Speaker 2: super happy when like I pull up to a drive-thru
- 20:07Speaker 2: and it sounds like they're 50. Cause I'm like, fuck yeah,
- 20:09Speaker 2: I'm good. But if they, if they sound like they're
- 20:11Speaker 2: in their twenties or thirties, it's brutal. Cause then it's
- 20:14Speaker 2: like one time someone did that. They opened it. She
- 20:17Speaker 2: was like, you're Mr. Beast. I was like, yeah. And
- 20:19Speaker 2: she goes to whip out her phone. I was like, Hey,
- 20:21Speaker 2: I don't want people to know what I'm driving. Like
- 20:23Speaker 2: we can chat, but just please no photos. Cause then
- 20:26Speaker 2: if it goes viral, I'm gonna have to sell this car.
- 20:27Speaker 2: And like, it's just a lot of work. And she's like, okay.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And then she goes to get the food and she
- 20:32Speaker 2: comes back and there's just, I see just 10 other
- 20:35Speaker 2: people that work. I won't even say the restaurant, but
- 20:38Speaker 2: behind her coming up or their phones recording. I was like,
- 20:41Speaker 2: I thought I could trust you. And I had to
- 20:43Speaker 2: drive off before they handed me my food because I
- 20:45Speaker 2: was like, if I don't, they're going to start filming.
- 20:47Speaker 2: People will see the car drive, blah, blah. And then
- 20:49Speaker 2: it's funny. Like the next day I see on Reddit, Mr.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Beast is an asshole. Just drove off. And it's like, no, no.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You forgot to tell the part where I was like, hey,
- 20:59Speaker 2: please don't dox my car. You know, just immediately leaves
- 21:03Speaker 2: that whole thing out. And so there's a lot of that.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Like or another time I was at a restaurant. I
- 21:08Speaker 2: don't even know who I was with, but someone paid
- 21:10Speaker 2: for my food. And I was like, when I asked
- 21:14Speaker 2: for the bill, they're like, oh, someone paid for it.
- 21:16Speaker 2: They're like, let me tell you they like your videos.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It's like, cool. How do I tip? And they're like, well,
- 21:21Speaker 2: we don't have a bill. And I was like, OK.
- 21:22Speaker 2: So I just left. And then the next day I
- 21:24Speaker 2: see on the internet, Mr. B stiff me and didn't
- 21:26Speaker 2: leave a tip or whatever. And it's like someone paid
- 21:29Speaker 2: for my meal. I didn't get a bill. It's not
- 21:32Speaker 2: like I carry cash. So, and I was just, it's so,
- 21:35Speaker 2: I have so many instances like that where like no
- 21:38Speaker 2: one gives a fuck when you're smaller about all these
- 21:40Speaker 2: little things, but like, as I've gotten bigger, yeah, it's
- 21:43Speaker 2: just like every interaction it's a, it's like a 10%
- 21:47Speaker 2: chance this thing's going to end up on the internet. And,
- 21:50Speaker 2: or they're going to try to twist things or, or whatever.
- 21:52Speaker 2: And it's just gotten crazier. Like people, like I said,
- 21:55Speaker 2: follow me or, um, yeah, it's, it's interesting. Yeah.
- 21:58Speaker 1: And you get, well, you get to a point also
- 22:00Speaker 1: with popularity where you've also gone, Oh, you can't go back.
- 22:04Speaker 1: First of all, you can't unbeast yourself.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Well, actually I can unbeast myself. If I wear a beanie,
- 22:09Speaker 2: I've noticed, like I've, I've tried all sorts of outfits
- 22:11Speaker 2: when I fly to see which ones get rid. If
- 22:13Speaker 2: I put my bangs in a beanie and put that on,
- 22:15Speaker 2: cause I've never worn anything like that in my videos.
- 22:17Speaker 2: the amount of photos I take go down like crazy. Yeah,
- 22:20Speaker 2: so it's like, and then if I combo the beanie
- 22:22Speaker 2: with like a pair of glasses, because I also have
- 22:25Speaker 2: never worn glasses in my videos, it takes it down.
- 22:27Speaker 2: So I've like studied it. Because like I used to
- 22:30Speaker 2: just rock a hood, but that's kind of like suspicious.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It's like, especially in places where it's not cold.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a bank robber, but he's at United Airlines.
- 22:39Speaker 2: It actually makes them like double look. And then they're like,
- 22:41Speaker 2: oh shit. So the hood strap doesn't work, but the
- 22:44Speaker 2: beanie and glasses strap, that's the key.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:47Speaker 2: If you want to be like low key.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I think there's different ways to do different
- 22:51Speaker 1: little disguises. I do think it's interesting what you're saying, though,
- 22:54Speaker 1: like about like I would notice this is just for me,
- 22:58Speaker 1: but I would notice like someone would pay for my
- 23:00Speaker 1: food sometime at a restaurant. Yeah. But then I would
- 23:03Speaker 1: read like, oh, he didn't thank us for it. Right.
- 23:06Speaker 1: So really, they were paying for it. So I would
- 23:08Speaker 1: like engage with them. Right. Yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 23:11Speaker 1: But it's like, at some point, it's like, maybe I'm
- 23:14Speaker 1: due with friends.
- 23:15Speaker 2: I'd rather just pay for the food.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd rather just pay for my food. I didn't
- 23:17Speaker 1: know that there was this other exchange to it, right?
- 23:20Speaker 1: So I'm not complaining. I'm happy for the extra food.
- 23:22Speaker 1: But if I'm in a hurry or something, and now
- 23:23Speaker 1: I'm in a different spot, and now I'm in a
- 23:25Speaker 1: conversation where somebody also then wants to ask you about
- 23:28Speaker 1: a business thing or something, it's like.
- 23:30Speaker 2: There's no rule book for these kinds of things. Right.
- 23:32Speaker 1: There's no rule book for it.
- 23:33Speaker 2: So you kind of have to learn on the go, like,
- 23:36Speaker 2: what do I do when random people pay for my food? Oh,
- 23:39Speaker 2: I guess this is the random people paid for my
- 23:41Speaker 2: food etiquette. I have to stand there and demand a
- 23:44Speaker 2: bill from the waitress five times until they give it
- 23:46Speaker 2: so I can tip. I then have to walk around
- 23:49Speaker 2: the restaurant and find who paid for it and thank them.
- 23:51Speaker 2: These are the things that you just kind of have
- 23:54Speaker 2: to learn as you get more famous. Yeah.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's just interesting, you know? And people will
- 23:59Speaker 1: be like, oh, famous people complaining, you know? But it's like,
- 24:01Speaker 1: but if popularity is a blessing and a curse, and
- 24:05Speaker 1: sometimes it's a side effect of what you even wanted
- 24:07Speaker 1: to do, right? And yeah, and then there's also ways
- 24:10Speaker 1: to like, little things to navigate amongst it. This episode
- 24:14Speaker 1: is sponsored by BAM. Prize picks, baby. Do you love

- 29:10Speaker 1: How did you become, just so our listeners know, how
- 29:12Speaker 1: did you become Mr. Beast, you know?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Were you, was you at a point where you were.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Just a beast? Yeah, so when I was probably 13
- 29:22Speaker 2: or 11, you know, Xbox Live, I just was randomizing
- 29:25Speaker 2: the name and it gave me like the name Mr.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Beast 6000. And so that was just like my Xbox
- 29:29Speaker 2: gamer tag when I was playing Call of Duty.
- 29:31Speaker 1: So they gave you, did they ever come after you
- 29:33Speaker 1: and try to claim any title to it?
- 29:34Speaker 2: Well, no, because it's just like a random name generator
- 29:36Speaker 2: and they don't own it. But then, so then when
- 29:38Speaker 2: I started a YouTube channel, I just called it Mr. V6000.
- 29:41Speaker 2: And then everyone was just like, why the 6,000? I
- 29:45Speaker 2: was like, I don't know. And then I eventually just
- 29:47Speaker 2: dropped it and there's Mr.
- 29:48Speaker 1: V's.
- 29:49Speaker 2: So that's kind of how it came about. But in
- 29:50Speaker 2: terms of how I got where I am now, I
- 29:53Speaker 2: started making videos when I was 11, had no fucking
- 29:56Speaker 2: clue what I was doing. They were absolute trash. And
- 29:58Speaker 2: then- No one watched when I was 11, no one
- 30:01Speaker 2: watched when I was 12, no one watched when I
- 30:03Speaker 2: was 13, no one watched when I was 14, no
- 30:04Speaker 2: one watched when I was 15. And then I started
- 30:06Speaker 2: to get like, holy fuck, is anyone ever going to
- 30:09Speaker 2: watch these? I'm like four years in. I'm like having
- 30:12Speaker 2: depressive mental breakdowns because I'm pouring everything I have. But
- 30:15Speaker 2: I mean, like at the time, you know, obviously everyone
- 30:17Speaker 2: thinks the videos they make are great. And I thought
- 30:19Speaker 2: I was making like insanely great videos, but they're just trash.
- 30:23Speaker 2: And like the problem is I didn't have anyone to
- 30:25Speaker 2: teach me how to edit. So I'm like learning on
- 30:27Speaker 2: my own. I didn't know anything about cameras. I didn't
- 30:28Speaker 2: know anything about anything. And then 16, no one's watching them. 17,
- 30:32Speaker 2: no one's watching them. And I'm like, fuck, I just like,
- 30:35Speaker 2: I only my whole life was just like, I just
- 30:37Speaker 2: want to do YouTube. I need to make enough money
- 30:39Speaker 2: by the time I graduate high school so I can
- 30:41Speaker 2: do this or I'm fucked because like I didn't have
- 30:43Speaker 2: good grades or anything. And, you know, we didn't have
- 30:45Speaker 2: much money because my parents were over 11 in 2008.
- 30:49Speaker 2: They're in the army, bought some properties, 2008. And then
- 30:51Speaker 2: the recession or financial crisis hit, went bankrupt, lost everything.
- 30:56Speaker 2: So like my mom was also like, fuck. my son's
- 30:59Speaker 2: just gonna be homeless and she she hates it and
- 31:05Speaker 2: and so i finally 18 about to graduate high school
- 31:09Speaker 2: still no one watches the videos no one gives a.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Fuck i'm making graduation night uh yeah i remember like
- 31:15Speaker 1: yeah it's just like my mom's like all right it's
- 31:18Speaker 1: time to accept reality gotta go.
- 31:19Speaker 2: To community college gotta get a degree and i was
- 31:22Speaker 2: just like I didn't want to, but I was like, okay,
- 31:24Speaker 2: let me just pick the easiest, lamest fucking degree. I
- 31:26Speaker 2: think it was like some communications degree at my local
- 31:28Speaker 2: community college. Yeah, zoning is one of them. But then
- 31:31Speaker 2: two weeks into it, I just was like, fuck this shit.
- 31:34Speaker 2: And so every day, because I didn't have enough money
- 31:36Speaker 2: to move out, I'd just go to college, but then
- 31:39Speaker 2: I would just work on videos in my car. And
- 31:40Speaker 2: I was just like, okay, in six months, my mom's
- 31:42Speaker 2: going to find out that I have straight zeros, kick
- 31:45Speaker 2: me out of the house. I got to get it
- 31:47Speaker 2: where people are watching my videos enough where I can
- 31:49Speaker 2: live off of it. Over the next six months. And
- 31:51Speaker 2: then I just started doing a bunch of stupid stuff.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Like around this time is when I counted to 100,000. Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 2: it's so classic. And a lot of other things like that.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Watching somebody semi-unconscious count their way through like the 80,000
- 32:03Speaker 1: is unbelievable.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. There was one part I think at 93,000
- 32:07Speaker 2: where I was like 92,999. 91,000. I actually went backwards.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I didn't realize it. And then I just went 91,001, 91,002.
- 32:14Speaker 2: So I like, yeah, it was cause I was so
- 32:18Speaker 2: just out of it at that point.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Yeah. There are other moments in that where you're like, yeah,
- 32:22Speaker 1: somebody helped this guy or something, you know?
- 32:24Speaker 2: But anyways, around that point I had a month where
- 32:26Speaker 2: I made 20 grand and then I was like, mom,
- 32:29Speaker 2: I have straight zeros. I'll move out tomorrow. And then
- 32:31Speaker 2: it just moved out. So that, and then, yeah, then
- 32:33Speaker 2: we just kept reinvesting it all. And here we are.
- 32:35Speaker 2: So it's like a 15 year journey and it's been
- 32:38Speaker 2: pretty crazy.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Was it hard to learn to reinvest in yourself? Is
- 32:41Speaker 1: that like a, um, I know you kind of mentioned
- 32:44Speaker 1: a minute ago. Was that like a thing? Is it
- 32:45Speaker 1: hard to learn to reinvest?
- 32:46Speaker 2: No, for me, it always came natural. Cause like I,
- 32:49Speaker 2: I have a, well now it's a little bit crazier
- 32:51Speaker 2: cause we're traveling and everything. But back then I lived
- 32:53Speaker 2: in a place that was $ 720 a month and I
- 32:55Speaker 2: split it with someone. So I needed three 60 for rent.
- 32:58Speaker 2: And I had like a 2005 Dodge Durango, which was
- 33:01Speaker 2: that expensive. So it was like, okay, a thousand dollars
- 33:03Speaker 2: to cover my expenses. everything else, just pour it back in.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You know what I mean? So if you just live a,
- 33:08Speaker 2: like below your means, then like, it allows you just
- 33:10Speaker 2: to go crazy and throw everything back into it. And
- 33:13Speaker 2: I just was like a fucking machine back then that
- 33:15Speaker 2: lived to make the best videos possible. And so every
- 33:18Speaker 2: dollar was just a way to just make a better video.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Wow. So you want to make the best video. There's
- 33:24Speaker 1: something about it that you want to make the best video.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, it's, I've obviously studied the algorithm, studied the
- 33:32Speaker 2: tens of thousands of YouTube videos. I'm a data nerd
- 33:34Speaker 2: and What's interesting is the data always just shows that
- 33:37Speaker 2: the better a video is, the more views it gets.
- 33:39Speaker 2: It's like if people watch it and enjoy it, YouTube
- 33:42Speaker 2: gives it more views. So it's like, yeah, it's the better.
- 33:45Speaker 2: That's that's what took us from 100000 views a video
- 33:48Speaker 2: to a million to 10 million views a video to
- 33:50Speaker 2: 20 to 40 to 50 to 100. It's just, you know,
- 33:52Speaker 2: people notice when you put in the effort and go
- 33:55Speaker 2: above and beyond. So they just keep coming back.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that, yeah, watching, I mean, I know
- 33:59Speaker 1: this will be on Amazon, right?
- 34:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Prime Video, the Beast Games thing, yeah.
- 34:03Speaker 1: But watching some of your stuff, it's just like, man,
- 34:05Speaker 1: this is like fantastical, you know? It's like fantasy. There's
- 34:09Speaker 1: fantasy parts of it. What was one you guys just
- 34:12Speaker 1: put up about you went out into these, like, like
- 34:15Speaker 1: this cave and.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Seven Days in the Underground Cave?
- 34:19Speaker 1: Was it a real cave or not a real cave?
- 34:21Speaker 2: So we did Seven Days in a Cave and Seven
- 34:22Speaker 2: Days in Underground City. Which one are you talking about?
- 34:24Speaker 2: Underground City. Yeah, that's in Romania. That was crazy.
- 34:28Speaker 1: It was so great because it mixes past and present.
- 34:31Speaker 1: It's like, I can't, it's like- are we the Mayans
- 34:34Speaker 1: or the aliens here? There's this mix of like, you know,
- 34:38Speaker 1: is this a real city?
- 34:39Speaker 2: Is it not?
- 34:40Speaker 1: It looks brand new, but then it also has these- Well.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And the Romans used to mine salt out of there.
- 34:45Speaker 2: I think it was like something crazy, like 2 billion
- 34:49Speaker 2: pounds of salt have been mined there or something ridiculous. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 2: so it's been used for over a thousand years. And
- 34:54Speaker 2: then They built a little underground city there, and there's
- 34:57Speaker 2: a Ferris wheel and everything. It's so mind-blowing. There's a
- 35:01Speaker 2: real Ferris wheel there? Yeah, in that underground city. Yeah,
- 35:03Speaker 2: that's a part.
- 35:04Speaker 1: It's just like I can't tell sometimes when it's new
- 35:07Speaker 1: or old. It's fantastical. That's what it feels like to me.
- 35:11Speaker 1: It felt like, dang, this is dang fantasy.
- 35:15Speaker 2: So you're a Mr.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Beast. Is there a Mrs.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Beast? Do they have a Mrs. Beast? I mean, I
- 35:18Speaker 2: have a girlfriend, but, you know. I didn't know. I
- 35:21Speaker 2: just call her Tia. Okay.
- 35:23Speaker 1: So you just call her by her natural name or
- 35:25Speaker 1: whatever God-given name. Do you remember your first girlfriend ever
- 35:29Speaker 1: or no?
- 35:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but, you know, I love my current girlfriend.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Okay.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 1: That's what I was just– or, yeah, I was just thinking, like,
- 35:38Speaker 1: were you good at having girl– like, was there ever
- 35:40Speaker 1: a girl that you even had a crush on in
- 35:41Speaker 1: your neighborhood or anything when you were a kid? You
- 35:43Speaker 1: don't have to say her name.
- 35:44Speaker 2: No, it's– bro, when I– When I was growing up,
- 35:49Speaker 2: I was so, I mean, I still am, but I
- 35:51Speaker 2: was incredibly awkward. I had a lot of pimples when
- 35:54Speaker 2: I was a teenager. Oh, yeah, dude. I have scars
- 35:56Speaker 2: on my forehead from it. I was an acne-up freak
- 35:59Speaker 2: that just obsessed over YouTube. I didn't know how to
- 36:02Speaker 2: talk to a woman. If they were like, hi, I'd
- 36:04Speaker 2: probably just be like. uh, what are you?
- 36:07Speaker 1: You know?
- 36:07Speaker 2: So it was fuck. No, no. I mean, but it
- 36:11Speaker 2: kind of worked to my advantage a little bit because
- 36:13Speaker 2: that's why I just grinded so much from 11 to 18,
- 36:15Speaker 2: which most people probably would have been trying to talk
- 36:18Speaker 2: to girls or.
- 36:19Speaker 1: You know, that'll kill all your time.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Exactly. Whereas I was just like fucking you'd play baseball
- 36:24Speaker 2: and grinding on YouTube every second of the day. So
- 36:26Speaker 2: it worked out in my advantage. Do you know Accutane? Uh, yeah.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I keep saying, didn't it kill? It didn't kill Jessica Simpson.
- 36:32Speaker 2: What happened to her? And that wasn't her. Sorry.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:36Speaker 2: I don't know. It might've killed someone. I mean, it's
- 36:38Speaker 2: a pretty intense thing, but I took Accutane and it
- 36:40Speaker 2: just got rid of all my acne. Oh, it helped? Yeah.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Oh yeah. And actually I was one, a Call of
- 36:45Speaker 2: Duty YouTuber I watched when I was younger. He just
- 36:48Speaker 2: said that he started taking Accutane and all his acne
- 36:50Speaker 2: went away. And I was like, okay. So I asked
- 36:52Speaker 2: my dermatologist and I took it and then all my
- 36:54Speaker 2: acne went away as well. And I was like, holy shit,
- 36:56Speaker 2: where was, but I didn't take it till I was like,
- 36:57Speaker 2: 19 or 20 and i was like my god why
- 37:00Speaker 2: didn't someone tell me about this anybody tell you yeah
- 37:02Speaker 2: when i was 15 or 16 what and i probably
- 37:04Speaker 2: it's probably for the better because it's pretty intense but
- 37:06Speaker 2: it like dries your skin out like crazy and it
- 37:09Speaker 2: gets to the point where the your skin will get
- 37:11Speaker 2: like it shrinks your pores too. So like the blackheads
- 37:14Speaker 2: on your nose will literally come out on their own.
- 37:17Speaker 2: And like, you'll like wake up one day and you'll
- 37:18Speaker 2: just have like all this stuff. Like if you squeeze blackheads,
- 37:21Speaker 2: they'll just be sitting on top of your nose. It's
- 37:22Speaker 2: like a miracle.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Like when people put that worm rod in the ground,
- 37:25Speaker 1: you ever seen that when they electrocute the ground.
- 37:27Speaker 2: To get the worms out of it? Yeah, basically like that. Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 2: And it's, this is a crazy thing. So anyways, I'm
- 37:32Speaker 2: saying this because if there's any of you out there
- 37:34Speaker 2: in the same spot as me, Accutane changed my life.
- 37:37Speaker 2: I hope to be like that Call of Duty YouTuber
- 37:39Speaker 2: was to me when I was younger to you. It
- 37:41Speaker 2: was wild. Some dude on Call of Duty is like, hey,
- 37:43Speaker 2: get some Accutane. Yeah, he would just do it like
- 37:45Speaker 2: a story time and talk about how he fixed his acne.
- 37:47Speaker 2: And I was just like, oh, it changed my life.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Dude, we had to get this blotter. They had something.
- 37:52Speaker 1: There was this. Finally, I got a prescription because mine
- 37:55Speaker 1: was bad, too, dude. And I was afraid to smile
- 37:57Speaker 1: because sometimes you'd have that hard patch and it would
- 37:59Speaker 1: just be like. it would be like a gang of acne,
- 38:01Speaker 1: like MS third acne or whatever.
- 38:04Speaker 2: That was my fucking forehead for years.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Yeah. And you would smile and it would fucking just
- 38:09Speaker 1: squirt on somebody. It was almost like you were, you
- 38:13Speaker 1: were afraid to make certain faces because a couple of
- 38:14Speaker 1: them would go off. You know, it was like, you know.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Like, I don't know if mine was that intense.
- 38:19Speaker 1: If you get them like in here in the corners
- 38:21Speaker 1: of my nose, it's so scary. And I already have
- 38:23Speaker 1: a big nose. So if I get a pimp on it,
- 38:25Speaker 1: I'd have to stay home until it went away or whatever.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 38:29Speaker 1: God, dude, yeah, acne was crazy because you didn't do anything, right?
- 38:33Speaker 1: You've been at home. You're just growing up or whatever. Yeah.
- 38:36Speaker 2: And then God's like, oh, yeah, you little bastard. I know.
- 38:40Speaker 2: It's like you see these people who don't wash their
- 38:42Speaker 2: face and they just have perfect flawless skin. And then
- 38:45Speaker 2: you're over here doing everything you can and you got,
- 38:47Speaker 2: you know, 100 blackheads on your nose and probably 40
- 38:50Speaker 2: pimples on your face. And it's just like. Why? Why
- 38:53Speaker 2: am I being punished? You know? Like, why me?
- 38:56Speaker 1: And we had this blotter stuff. It was like this
- 38:59Speaker 1: green stuff came out at one point. You have to
- 39:00Speaker 1: put it all. It had like a blotter, almost like
- 39:03Speaker 1: for playing bingo. And you'd put it all over your skin.
- 39:05Speaker 1: But it had green. It was green, right?
- 39:07Speaker 2: It was kind of green.
- 39:08Speaker 1: And you couldn't tell right when you put it on.
- 39:09Speaker 1: But if you were at school and you had a
- 39:10Speaker 1: white shirt or something, your whole shirt or your neck
- 39:13Speaker 1: would start just getting green throughout the day because you'd
- 39:16Speaker 1: sweat it down, you know?
- 39:17Speaker 2: It was harrowing. How old were you?
- 39:20Speaker 1: I was probably 11, 12.
- 39:22Speaker 2: Me growing up, we had Proactive or whatever the fuck
- 39:24Speaker 2: that was. I don't I don't remember this green shit
- 39:27Speaker 2: you're talking about. We had prayer and some other shit
- 39:29Speaker 2: that they had. Yeah.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Meeting the first girl was, Oh, I remember in our
- 39:33Speaker 1: apartment complex, some dad, I remember this is the first
- 39:36Speaker 1: girl that I maybe had a crush on or something.
- 39:38Speaker 1: The dad got a daughter, a drum right for Christmas
- 39:41Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah. And she would make her play like on the
- 39:44Speaker 2: back porch. She would practice.
- 39:46Speaker 1: And I would go around and listen. And, um, She
- 39:50Speaker 1: would play... What's that Ice Cube song?
- 39:54Speaker 2: It's like... It was a good day?
- 39:55Speaker 1: Yeah, kind of thank God. yeah no bark no bum
- 40:10Speaker 1: bum bum bum bum love that play that dude and
- 40:13Speaker 1: i would just go down there and i just fell
- 40:15Speaker 1: in love listening to her play that yeah and i
- 40:17Speaker 1: remember that.
- 40:18Speaker 2: It was like the first what happened between you guys.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Oh nothing there was some violence between our families a
- 40:23Speaker 1: little bit my brother had some issues i think with
- 40:24Speaker 1: her brother but they're uh but that was like the
- 40:27Speaker 1: first crush what kind of violence uh somebody like got
- 40:30Speaker 1: upset at somebody and somebody threw like um like a
- 40:33Speaker 1: stump or whatever through somebody's bathroom window it got they
- 40:37Speaker 1: really got hot sometimes dude but i but between me
- 40:40Speaker 1: and her she didn't know that i don't think she
- 40:42Speaker 1: ever knew that but i would listen to her play
- 40:44Speaker 1: that and the dad would yell at her to fucking
- 40:46Speaker 1: play it he was i think a raiders fan or
- 40:48Speaker 1: whatever um anyway sorry kind of rambling um you just
- 40:52Speaker 1: got back from india right yeah nice dude how was
- 40:55Speaker 1: that have you ever done shows or anything in india
- 40:57Speaker 1: I went to India when I was a student. We
- 40:59Speaker 1: went to Madras and we worked at like a children's home.
- 41:02Speaker 1: It was just a week, but it was magnificent, man.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Some of the most beautiful, energetic humans in the world.
- 41:10Speaker 1: A lot of happiness I felt like over there. So
- 41:13Speaker 1: I really enjoyed it. What was your experience like?
- 41:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I enjoyed being there as well.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Well, we.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it was it was pretty, pretty intense. Not gonna lie.
- 41:22Speaker 2: We like when I I mean, it's it got off
- 41:25Speaker 2: to like I literally as I'm walking out the airport,
- 41:28Speaker 2: there was just a bunch of people there waiting, you know.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Right.
- 41:31Speaker 2: So I took some photos, said hi to people, whatever,
- 41:33Speaker 2: got in my car. And then that video someone filmed
- 41:38Speaker 2: got posted on like this. Like, I guess celebrities are
- 41:42Speaker 2: like a really. big thing, like Bollywood stars in India.
- 41:46Speaker 2: And so like they posted on this Instagram account and
- 41:48Speaker 2: it got like 20 million views in like the next
- 41:50Speaker 2: 10 hours. So basically like everyone knew I was in
- 41:54Speaker 2: India after that, which we also said we were coming
- 41:56Speaker 2: because we were going to like, you know, talk on
- 41:59Speaker 2: a stage because I was launching a product and things
- 42:00Speaker 2: like that. But it got Uh, pretty intense. Cause people
- 42:03Speaker 2: were trying to find which hotel I was in and
- 42:05Speaker 2: they were like camping out at all the hotels. And
- 42:07Speaker 2: so like, I'm like, as we're pulling in, like with
- 42:09Speaker 2: my seat really reclined, cause I didn't want to know.
- 42:11Speaker 2: And somehow they figured out which one we're staying at.
- 42:13Speaker 2: And then there's people waiting out there and there's it,
- 42:15Speaker 2: it got pretty crazy. And then we, we just like
- 42:18Speaker 2: launched our chocolate bar at a mall. Um, it was
- 42:21Speaker 2: a feastable over there.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Feastables. We launched it over there and there was like,
- 42:24Speaker 2: I mean, it was crazy. The amount of people that
- 42:26Speaker 2: showed up, um, we were, we were just talking on
- 42:29Speaker 2: stage and whatever, but the problem is so many people
- 42:31Speaker 2: are showing up there. that people were going in places
- 42:35Speaker 2: in the mall where they weren't supposed to, getting in
- 42:37Speaker 2: locked doors, and the line and crowd was getting so big,
- 42:39Speaker 2: they made us end it early and leave, which was
- 42:42Speaker 2: annoying because I felt bad because so many people had
- 42:44Speaker 2: showed up, and I just wanted to at least wave
- 42:47Speaker 2: and say hi to a lot of them. And then, yeah,
- 42:51Speaker 2: I met a lot of the biggest Indian creators over there,
- 42:54Speaker 2: and super cool, filmed some stuff. Wow. Yeah, we just...
- 42:58Speaker 2: What was also interesting is... We did this meet and
- 43:02Speaker 2: greet with a bunch of Bollywood actors, like their kids,
- 43:05Speaker 2: and just said hi to them. And I've just never
- 43:08Speaker 2: watched any Bollywood films. So I was just hanging out,
- 43:11Speaker 2: saying hi to some of these people. And I took
- 43:13Speaker 2: a photo with this kid and one parent. And then
- 43:16Speaker 2: one of the guys beside me who just works there
- 43:18Speaker 2: was like, hey, do you know who that guy is?
- 43:20Speaker 1: It's this.
- 43:21Speaker 2: And he showed me an Instagram account. He had like
- 43:22Speaker 2: 60 million followers. I was like, no. He's like, oh,
- 43:25Speaker 2: that was the guy I just met. He's like, yeah.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I was like, oh, cool. And then I took a
- 43:28Speaker 2: photo and said hi to another kid with, with his mom.
- 43:31Speaker 2: And he's like, the guy was like, she is, she's
- 43:33Speaker 2: like in these movies and like this. And there he
- 43:35Speaker 2: was like freaking out. And I was like, and I,
- 43:37Speaker 2: I didn't know who any of these people were. And
- 43:39Speaker 2: so I was like, okay, now I need you to
- 43:41Speaker 2: tell me who they are before they walk up. And
- 43:42Speaker 2: so he was like, it's just this random guy I
- 43:44Speaker 2: just met. Um, and he's just like, okay, here's, here's
- 43:47Speaker 2: this person's Instagram account. It'd be like 30 million followers.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Like they're apparently there's like twice as many people use, uh,
- 43:52Speaker 2: Instagram in India than in USA.
- 43:54Speaker 1: So I didn't know any of this. It's huge. You
- 43:56Speaker 1: forget about that. Just how many people there are.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:59Speaker 2: And TikTok's banned in India. So that makes more people
- 44:03Speaker 2: use Instagram. And so it's like really, really big over there.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Because it was crazy. There's so many people that I
- 44:09Speaker 2: met that just had... crazy high follower accounts. And it's like, I,
- 44:12Speaker 2: you don't see that over here in America. And then
- 44:14Speaker 2: I looked into the data cause I'm a data guy.
- 44:16Speaker 2: And I was like, oh my gosh, like a fuck
- 44:18Speaker 2: load of people use it over there. And the usage
- 44:20Speaker 2: skyrocketed after they banned TikTok and same thing with YouTube,
- 44:23Speaker 2: actually like India, more people watch YouTube in India than
- 44:26Speaker 2: in America. Um, because again, Like in America, we're competing.
- 44:30Speaker 2: It's TikTok over there, they're not. And then the fact
- 44:32Speaker 2: that there's over a billion people. So it's like a
- 44:34Speaker 2: huge market. Oh, so YouTube is bigger over there too then. Yeah,
- 44:35Speaker 2: YouTube's bigger over there. So it's like a huge market.
- 44:38Speaker 2: But I had a great time and it was just,
- 44:41Speaker 2: It was pretty intense, though. I posted an Instagram story
- 44:44Speaker 2: showing us driving down the road, and everywhere we drove,
- 44:47Speaker 2: there was just dozens of kids that would just run
- 44:49Speaker 2: along the side of the road and follow our car
- 44:51Speaker 2: and things like that.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Just excited, yeah.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and so I felt love. Yeah, I felt very loved.
- 44:57Speaker 2: That's for sure. I was like, damn, people over here,
- 44:59Speaker 2: they care. And it was cool.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot of good energy over there, and
- 45:04Speaker 1: it's safe energy, too. So the excitement, I feel like
- 45:06Speaker 1: in a place like Indy, you don't feel like it's
- 45:08Speaker 1: going to.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Get to the place. Was it getting shady, you think?
- 45:10Speaker 2: Not like that I thought people would stab me, but there,
- 45:14Speaker 2: how do I say it in a way where it
- 45:14Speaker 2: doesn't sound like a B and a D, but there were...
- 45:17Speaker 2: a little less concerned for personal space over there. They're
- 45:22Speaker 2: like more, they'll run up to you and get like
- 45:24Speaker 2: really close.
- 45:25Speaker 1: It's not a lot of personal space over there. Like
- 45:29Speaker 1: in America, you know.
- 45:30Speaker 2: People dab you up, like a group of five or
- 45:32Speaker 2: six people and they'll stay a foot or two away,
- 45:34Speaker 2: you know, but over there, like they'll just run up
- 45:36Speaker 2: and hug me and like get really, really close. And
- 45:38Speaker 2: it gets a little intense sometimes. Like I noticed like
- 45:41Speaker 2: some of them did not give a fuck about my
- 45:42Speaker 2: personal space. Especially if it was a bigger group.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Oh, they'll hide in your mouth if you leave it open.
- 45:48Speaker 2: So that was, that was an interesting thing.
- 45:50Speaker 1: They just, yeah, I remember being, they would, people were
- 45:52Speaker 1: sleeping on the side of the road there. I remember
- 45:54Speaker 1: in India when I was there, you would just be
- 45:56Speaker 1: driving at night and people just, you know, somebody was
- 45:58Speaker 1: just walking and I guess they decided to get some
- 45:59Speaker 1: rest or whatever. Um, but yeah, you don't even get
- 46:02Speaker 1: your own pillow in India. Like you lay down and
- 46:04Speaker 1: then there's other, you know, people have a little quad.
- 46:06Speaker 1: It's just, there's a lot of people there, you know,
- 46:08Speaker 1: there's a lot of folks. Um, you were talking about feastables, dude.
- 46:11Speaker 1: And thank you guys sent me some, you know, I'll
- 46:13Speaker 1: go the whole day. I don't need any sugar. Middle
- 46:15Speaker 1: of the night, crack open to a box of feastables
- 46:17Speaker 1: that some asshole sent me.
- 46:19Speaker 2: And, uh, and they're awesome.
- 46:23Speaker 1: And the peanut butter one is probably my favorite one.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 46:26Speaker 1: But then it's like, I just have so much, you know,
- 46:28Speaker 1: I freak out in the middle of the night. And
- 46:30Speaker 1: cause I'm just a damn sugar pervert. And then now
- 46:33Speaker 1: I just can't go back to bed, you know, but
- 46:35Speaker 1: thank you. And, um, but what I want to say is,
- 46:39Speaker 1: would you ever do like a Willy Wonka type of thing?
- 46:41Speaker 1: Cause I feel like this, I mean, you already are
- 46:43Speaker 1: kind of there, you know?
- 46:44Speaker 2: So, you know, we put 10 golden tickets in it
- 46:47Speaker 2: one time. I didn't know that. Yeah, no, it's all good. So, uh, we, uh,
- 46:50Speaker 2: it's funny you asked. So yeah, that's a great idea.
- 46:53Speaker 2: We should, it's almost like we should put 10 golden
- 46:55Speaker 2: tickets to random bars. I should build a chocolate factory,
- 46:58Speaker 2: fly them down, have them compete for it. Did they,
- 47:01Speaker 2: did you already do all that?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:02Speaker 2: Um, but it's, it's, it was pretty cool. It was
- 47:04Speaker 2: years ago. Most of your fans probably have no idea.
- 47:06Speaker 2: I did it. Um, so yeah, we put the golden
- 47:08Speaker 2: tickets out. I built a actual chocolate river. And you
- 47:12Speaker 2: know what's funny? I don't even know if I've ever
- 47:15Speaker 2: told this story, but it's the day before we're going
- 47:18Speaker 2: to film. The 10 golden ticket winners are in town.
- 47:21Speaker 2: And I go to the chocolate factory to just check
- 47:24Speaker 2: out things. And the chocolate river is just not there.
- 47:29Speaker 2: We literally had a multiple feet deep spread across this
- 47:33Speaker 2: warehouse chocolate river. And it's there. But then I come
- 47:38Speaker 2: back the next day and it's just not there. It's
- 47:40Speaker 2: literally empty. The entire river is gone. And what happened,
- 47:41Speaker 2: you think? We don't know. I mean, I guess there
- 47:44Speaker 2: was like a hole in the lining on the bottom
- 47:47Speaker 2: of the river we built. And it just all sank
- 47:49Speaker 2: through it. I don't know. But see, that's how we
- 47:52Speaker 2: were right there. Oh, my God. I did not know
- 47:54Speaker 2: this at all. Yeah, pause it right there.
- 47:56Speaker 1: And who's that, the guy that took it?
- 47:59Speaker 2: No, that's Nolan, one of our friends. And then that's a,
- 48:01Speaker 2: every time someone got eliminated, they got in the boat
- 48:03Speaker 2: and we paddled them down the chocolate river out the factory.
- 48:06Speaker 2: But yeah, so it's like the day before and I
- 48:09Speaker 2: just walk in and there's like a waterfall and everything,
- 48:11Speaker 2: but it's just empty. And I'm like, where the fuck
- 48:14Speaker 2: did my chocolate river go last night? And so we
- 48:17Speaker 2: had to like blitz to refill it and redo the
- 48:20Speaker 2: entire thing. It was a fucking shit show. Just search
- 48:22Speaker 2: up Mr. B's Chocolate Factory and you can see like
- 48:25Speaker 2: He could see what it actually looks like on YouTube.
- 48:29Speaker 2: I'm sorry I'm so behind on that. No, it's all good.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I have so many crazy stories I can tell you
- 48:33Speaker 2: about the fucking crazy shit we've done. Like who else
- 48:36Speaker 2: has built a fucking chocolate factory? Yeah, I didn't even know. Here,
- 48:40Speaker 2: skip ahead to the inside. Yeah, right there. Look at
- 48:43Speaker 2: that shit. And candy and everything. Yeah, pause it.
- 48:46Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Yeah. So those are real, real candy. I mean, it
- 48:51Speaker 2: was fucking difficult to keep the bugs out of there.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You don't think about that bugs like candy. Yeah.
- 48:57Speaker 2: And so we gave the winner the option of, you know,
- 48:59Speaker 2: keep the factory or just have $ 500, 000. And I was like, yo,
- 49:02Speaker 2: like this shot of fact or chocolate river is probably
- 49:04Speaker 2: going to disappear. Tends to do that. These candies are
- 49:07Speaker 2: all going to go bad in the next few days.
- 49:09Speaker 2: This is going to be an absolute disaster. Take the money.
- 49:13Speaker 2: I'd recommend you take the money. I'll give it to you.
- 49:15Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not, you know, I will, but I just,
- 49:18Speaker 2: it's going to cost you like... six figures to like
- 49:21Speaker 2: clean this shit up. Like, I don't want to just
- 49:22Speaker 2: dump that on you. You know, Bobby Flay in that too. Uh,
- 49:26Speaker 2: at the end is Gordon Ramsey. So the, the last
- 49:28Speaker 2: challenge they did is they had to cook a dessert
- 49:30Speaker 2: and then whoever, uh, Gordon Ramsey said did the best one,
- 49:33Speaker 2: the chocolate factory.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Oh, wow. And he looks a little bit like Charlie
- 49:37Speaker 1: from the original chocolate factory. Pull up a Charlie from
- 49:39Speaker 1: the original Chocolate Factory photo there. Let's do a little
- 49:41Speaker 1: side by side. And I'm going to be so accurate here,
- 49:45Speaker 1: which blew my own mind, actually.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, actually. Actually, Carl, the guy to the right of Gordon,
- 49:51Speaker 2: kind of looks like him. Let's go. Hold on.
- 49:53Speaker 1: No, no. The picture I want is up one.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Wait, no.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Scroll.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Yeah. No, right there to the left. Left on that side.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Right there. Yeah, Carl kind of looks like that. We're
- 50:04Speaker 2: pretty close, huh? Yeah.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Your imagination... Pretty close right there.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Holy shit. That could be him. What is that shirtless
- 50:11Speaker 2: photo of Gordon? Wait, wait, wait. No, go to that
- 50:13Speaker 2: shirtless one. What am I looking at there? Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 50:16Speaker 2: When did he start posing like that? I don't know, dude.
- 50:19Speaker 3: My boy.
- 50:19Speaker 2: That's one vote for Bobby Kennedy right there, dude. That's crazy, bro. Oh,
- 50:26Speaker 2: Bobby Flay. Bobby Flay's daughter is beautiful, actually.
- 50:28Speaker 1: And I don't care if she hears it. She's super talented.
- 50:33Speaker 1: That's exactly what I mean.
- 50:35Speaker 2: She's also a stunning young lady. But what are we saying?
- 50:40Speaker 1: No, I got more to say.
- 50:41Speaker 2: I'll tell you this.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Yes, you already did that, man.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Yeah. And what's also interesting is while we were filming
- 50:48Speaker 2: that video, I was doing a different video where I
- 50:51Speaker 2: didn't eat any food for two weeks. What's the longest
- 50:53Speaker 2: fast you've ever done?
- 50:54Speaker 1: I just did three days the other day of only water.
- 50:57Speaker 2: How was it? Or I did 72 hours. It was good.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Got a little temperamental.
- 51:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:01Speaker 1: But I kind of enjoyed it. And how long do
- 51:03Speaker 1: you do?
- 51:03Speaker 2: I did 14 days, only water. Only water. Yeah, I lost,
- 51:06Speaker 2: what was it, like 20 something pounds.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Was it to lose weight or just to?
- 51:10Speaker 2: You know, it was for a video just to see
- 51:11Speaker 2: what happens. And you'd like after like day five or six,
- 51:16Speaker 2: like you're pretty fucking drained. Like you have no energy.
- 51:19Speaker 2: You know, it's interesting. If you read online about extended fast,
- 51:22Speaker 2: people will be like, oh, you'll lose minimal muscle mass.
- 51:24Speaker 2: And it's mostly fat. And which seemed like a lot
- 51:28Speaker 2: of Reddit threads and things when you first Google it.
- 51:29Speaker 2: That's what it tells you. So I did a DEXA
- 51:31Speaker 2: scan before I did my extended fast, you know, where
- 51:33Speaker 2: they measure the fat and muscle in your body and
- 51:35Speaker 2: do one after. And I was like, I lost like
- 51:37Speaker 2: six pounds of muscle. It was like pretty... depressing how
- 51:41Speaker 2: much muscle i lost yeah you lose it yeah which
- 51:44Speaker 2: i mean is obvious but that's not what the internet
- 51:46Speaker 2: said what happened which i was like someone needs to
- 51:48Speaker 2: like correct this because yeah it was it was pretty
- 51:51Speaker 2: depressing um so i lost whatever it was like 13
- 51:54Speaker 2: pounds of fat seven pounds of lean mass um but.
- 51:56Speaker 1: It's depressing because in your show you start to and
- 51:59Speaker 1: you don't want to explain to people hey i'm fasting
- 52:00Speaker 1: because people think something's going on.
- 52:01Speaker 2: With yeah but even after you start eating like the
- 52:04Speaker 2: muscle didn't just come back yeah so it's like yeah
- 52:06Speaker 2: that was that was pretty brutal but it was Yeah,
- 52:09Speaker 2: it was intense not eating. And I still was filming
- 52:11Speaker 2: and working throughout it. So like on day 10 and
- 52:14Speaker 2: 11 and 12, like it was really fucking with me.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Like I'm standing up was just like. brutal you know
- 52:20Speaker 2: and like walking around or anything like that because you
- 52:22Speaker 2: have no energy you needed a real cane like willie
- 52:24Speaker 2: wonka yeah yeah there yeah that was that was intense
- 52:26Speaker 2: and did you what were you did.
- 52:28Speaker 1: You notice like um but your clarity got pretty sharp
- 52:30Speaker 1: as a whip were you able to use that.
- 52:32Speaker 2: People say that but no for me it never that
- 52:34Speaker 2: never hit i never got that like uh a superhuman
- 52:37Speaker 2: clarity because that's what i was hoping for yeah no
- 52:39Speaker 2: i just like i was just fucking tired man all
- 52:41Speaker 2: the time i was too tired to have clarity um.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Oh i could read people's damn minds.
- 52:46Speaker 2: I thought that guy was naked at first on the right.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Former All-Pro NFL tackle Russell Okung is also over 150
- 52:52Speaker 1: pounds since retiring, including losing 100 pounds in 40 days
- 52:55Speaker 1: by fasting every day.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Yeah. That's crazy. We just started a video where we–
- 53:02Speaker 2: or we're about to start it after when I go
- 53:04Speaker 2: back home. We built a gym, like just a weightlifting gym,
- 53:08Speaker 2: and then we put a big red circle around it.
- 53:10Speaker 2: And then we're going to give a guy either– I
- 53:14Speaker 2: don't know which one. Um, if he loses a hundred
- 53:17Speaker 2: pounds before he leaves that red circle. And so, and
- 53:19Speaker 2: he has a trainer in there and he has a
- 53:21Speaker 2: chef at everything he'll need. And then, um, yeah. And
- 53:24Speaker 2: then it's exciting. Yeah. So like that video might take
- 53:27Speaker 2: like a year, you know? And so he just, he's
- 53:29Speaker 2: living in there. We have cameras set up and it's
- 53:31Speaker 2: just like lose a hundred pounds or, or leave, you know?
- 53:34Speaker 2: And if you lose a hundred pounds before you leave, you,
- 53:36Speaker 2: you win the money.
- 53:37Speaker 1: That's fair, dude. They should do that around like a, um,
- 53:40Speaker 1: IndyCar race, you know? Just put a big, huge circle
- 53:44Speaker 1: around like a Talladega or whatever.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Why?
- 53:47Speaker 1: And just be like, lose a hundred pounds.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't think about the end of it. Another
- 53:54Speaker 2: video we're about to start too is I bought a
- 53:56Speaker 2: jet and then we're grabbing two people who just, uh,
- 53:59Speaker 2: got like graduated from pilot school or whatever just got
- 54:01Speaker 2: their license and we're going if you guys live in
- 54:03Speaker 2: this jet for the next hundred days don't step foot
- 54:05Speaker 2: out of it once for the next hundred days you
- 54:07Speaker 2: get to keep the jet so then they'll own a
- 54:09Speaker 2: private jet but they can fly it around to do
- 54:10Speaker 2: whatever just as long as they don't leave they can't
- 54:13Speaker 2: leave yeah so like i'm hoping they'll like fly to
- 54:15Speaker 2: new york and just uber eat some pizza to the
- 54:17Speaker 2: door of the jet then fly to california or whatever
- 54:19Speaker 2: and it just like yeah that'll be a fun one.
- 54:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that sounds interesting. Is there a video? Say if
- 54:24Speaker 1: you got to, they shut you down. They're like, Beast,
- 54:26Speaker 1: you're done. No more beasting around here, boy. Get out
- 54:30Speaker 1: of here, Beast. What if people were like that? And
- 54:33Speaker 1: then you had to make, you got to make one
- 54:35Speaker 1: more video. Do you know what it would be, you think?
- 54:38Speaker 2: That's only one more. I mean.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Because you're already, I mean, you've got the $ 5 million,
- 54:42Speaker 1: you know, you've.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Upped the ante. Yeah. Well, that's on the show. But
- 54:45Speaker 2: on YouTube, because I don't have streaming money on YouTube,
- 54:49Speaker 2: you know what I mean? I don't. I don't know, man.
- 54:53Speaker 2: There's not, because there's so many things I want to do.
- 54:55Speaker 2: It'd be hard to pick one.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Oh, there are? Yeah. You still have a ton of ideas.
- 54:58Speaker 2: Unlimited. I mean, the bottleneck for me is not ideas.
- 55:01Speaker 2: It's just like actually pulling them off, you know, because
- 55:02Speaker 2: a lot of these are multi-million dollar projects that take
- 55:05Speaker 2: months upon months to set up, months to film, months
- 55:07Speaker 2: to edit, et cetera. So it's just like, they're pretty brutal.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Like one of the ones we did recently that I
- 55:12Speaker 2: thought was really cool, but like this is an example of,
- 55:15Speaker 2: how much time it takes is we, we built a
- 55:17Speaker 2: bunker underground. I don't, did you see that one?
- 55:20Speaker 1: I know.
- 55:20Speaker 2: I'm not sure. Okay. So we had to dig like
- 55:23Speaker 2: a super deep hole. We bought a bunker, put it in,
- 55:25Speaker 2: cover it up and then pull up the, like the
- 55:28Speaker 2: outside of it for him. So he could see what
- 55:29Speaker 2: it looks like. And then we had to. Yeah. That
- 55:31Speaker 2: top one right there. I've seen some of this.
- 55:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:33Speaker 2: So that, that's a bunker we built. And then those
- 55:35Speaker 2: two people, if they live in there for a hundred days,
- 55:38Speaker 2: they want half a million dollars. Oh, they did it too.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Yeah. And then like, but you have to set deck
- 55:42Speaker 2: the bunker and then, um, so that's like multiple months
- 55:45Speaker 2: of building and everything. And then you put them in
- 55:47Speaker 2: there and then that's still three months and 10 days
- 55:50Speaker 2: of filming. And then, you know, you have to have
- 55:51Speaker 2: like camera crew there going around the clock and you
- 55:54Speaker 2: have to have a medic there just for safety and
- 55:56Speaker 2: all these other things. And I have to check in
- 55:58Speaker 2: every day. And then now you come out the other
- 55:59Speaker 2: end you have 100 days worth of footage which takes
- 56:01Speaker 2: you know editing team forever to come through and watch
- 56:04Speaker 2: and edit and then build stories so like that's like
- 56:05Speaker 2: a eight month long project you know what i mean
- 56:08Speaker 2: so that's they're just like it's a lot yeah it's
- 56:11Speaker 2: very very intense and and that's the thing is like
- 56:16Speaker 2: the fact that i can do all this for a
- 56:17Speaker 2: youtube video it was like unfathomable when i was growing
- 56:21Speaker 2: up like it's crazy to see like the kind of
- 56:23Speaker 2: um content that can be supported by youtube you know
- 56:26Speaker 2: like i think on that video we probably spent like
- 56:28Speaker 2: four and a half million dollars um making that yeah
- 56:30Speaker 2: just on that between the bunker and the prize pool
- 56:32Speaker 2: and everything and.
- 56:33Speaker 1: How many uh shows can you have like can you
- 56:36Speaker 1: have a couple of things going like that.
- 56:37Speaker 2: At once yeah we have to i try to upload
- 56:39Speaker 2: two videos a month so we have to be working
- 56:42Speaker 2: on six to eight videos at a time because these
- 56:44Speaker 2: videos take months to pull off so because if we're
- 56:47Speaker 2: only working on one at a time then i'd only
- 56:49Speaker 2: upload once every like three or four months.
- 56:51Speaker 1: And do you come up with most of the ideas
- 56:52Speaker 1: yourself or do you have kind of a team when
- 56:53Speaker 1: you guys kind of pull them?
- 56:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So that's where it's interesting because, uh, the ideas
- 56:58Speaker 2: are incredibly important because like you, I do a lot
- 57:02Speaker 2: of seven day challenges, right? I spent seven days buried alive.
- 57:04Speaker 2: I spent seven days in solitary confinement, seven days, a
- 57:06Speaker 2: cave underground city, seven days on Missouri Island, blah, blah, blah.
- 57:09Speaker 2: And then what's interesting is like, you could do seven
- 57:11Speaker 2: days buried alive. So me laying in a coffin for
- 57:13Speaker 2: seven days, or you could do theoretically, right. I could
- 57:17Speaker 2: lay in a bathtub for seven days right both take
- 57:20Speaker 2: the same amount of my time both are me just
- 57:22Speaker 2: laying there but the one in the bathtub isn't going
- 57:24Speaker 2: to get any views no one gives a fuck the
- 57:25Speaker 2: one of me laying in a tomb underground everyone will
- 57:28Speaker 2: care because like fucking what the fuck this dude buried
- 57:30Speaker 2: himself alive so yeah it like shows like the theoretically
- 57:34Speaker 2: it's kind of the same thing but this idea is
- 57:37Speaker 2: just in a different setting environment and we'll probably get
- 57:39Speaker 2: 10 000 times more views and so it shows like
- 57:42Speaker 2: the importance of the idea if that makes sense like
- 57:44Speaker 2: it's not views or success isn't just isn't directly correlated
- 57:49Speaker 2: with the effort you put in a lot of it
- 57:50Speaker 2: has to do with what is the overarching concept and
- 57:53Speaker 2: so once you kind of realize that you just like
- 57:55Speaker 2: you're really obsessed with how do I come up with
- 57:58Speaker 2: crazy cool original viral ideas and so that's what I
- 58:01Speaker 2: spent most of my teenage years obsessing over and I
- 58:04Speaker 2: used to do every single day I would brainstorm video
- 58:06Speaker 2: ideas and I'd write them write them down and that's
- 58:09Speaker 2: how I built like I have this Google sheet with 10,000
- 58:11Speaker 2: ideas on it. It's ridiculous. I thought of trying to
- 58:14Speaker 2: sell that to YouTubers at one point because there's so
- 58:16Speaker 2: many there, I could never film them. But then after
- 58:17Speaker 2: a while, now that things have gotten so big and
- 58:20Speaker 2: I have to film 25, 28 days a month and
- 58:23Speaker 2: I have all this stuff going on, I can't do
- 58:24Speaker 2: an hour a day. So I hired people to do
- 58:26Speaker 2: it for me. And then once a week, they'll just go, hey,
- 58:29Speaker 2: here's 200 really cool, unique ideas. I'll flip through them
- 58:32Speaker 2: and You know, they'll usually inspire something in my head
- 58:34Speaker 2: because a big thing too is like, this is what, um,
- 58:37Speaker 2: I've probably said this on podcasts before, but like if
- 58:39Speaker 2: there was a, like a fruit in Africa that if
- 58:42Speaker 2: you ate, you grew two feet taller and you didn't
- 58:45Speaker 2: know that exist until I just told you right now, right.
- 58:47Speaker 2: You wouldn't have been able to brainstorm ideas around eating
- 58:50Speaker 2: that fruit. But now that you know, it exists, you could.
- 58:52Speaker 2: And so it's like very important to always be intaking
- 58:57Speaker 2: new information and learning things because that's how you, you know,
- 59:00Speaker 2: come up with more original creative stuff. Like I, I
- 59:03Speaker 2: noticed when I first started hiring people to like, you know,
- 59:06Speaker 2: start brainstorming stuff for me that like after two months
- 59:09Speaker 2: of subconsciously doing this, you would just basically start getting
- 59:12Speaker 2: the same ideas on autopilot, right? Like if a guy
- 59:14Speaker 2: really likes basketball, you'll start to notice like, Oh, 10%
- 59:17Speaker 2: of his ideas have to do a basketball, but it's
- 59:19Speaker 2: not because basketball is like the greatest ideas and most
- 59:22Speaker 2: viral thing. It's just because that's what he watches. And so,
- 59:25Speaker 2: And you'll notice if someone watches baseball, they'll, oh, now
- 59:27Speaker 2: they conveniently have baseball ideas. And so what you want
- 59:30Speaker 2: is you just want to get someone who you just
- 59:33Speaker 2: almost like want to make them constantly learn and absorb
- 59:36Speaker 2: new information. Listen to 10 different podcasts, one episode of each,
- 59:40Speaker 2: not 10 of one. Listen, you know, watch every sport,
- 59:43Speaker 2: not one. And you almost have to. like to train
- 59:45Speaker 2: people to help you come up with good ideas, you
- 59:46Speaker 2: have to just train them to watch a bunch of
- 59:48Speaker 2: different content and absorb information. And you'll see it come
- 59:52Speaker 2: out in their ideas, if that makes sense.
- 59:53Speaker 1: So first of all, you'd find somebody who you like, okay,
- 59:55Speaker 1: I like this, that this person comes up with ideas.
- 59:57Speaker 1: And then you'd be like, now I just need to have,
- 59:59Speaker 1: I need them to encourage them to consume different things.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: It's almost like different ingredients to come out with a
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: different cake. Exactly.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Yeah. So you control their information diet by information diet.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: That's so wild. I mean, and that's, Yeah, I mean,
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: I obsess over things. Yeah, it's important. But that's been
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: super helpful because, yeah, it's just, that's how we, because
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: a big part of getting 100 million views theoretically on
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: a video is if, you know, is it something someone
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: has seen before or not? Like there's this TED talk
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: I watched one time and he was talking about how,
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: you know, if you're driving down the road and you
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: just see a cow, you're probably not even going to
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: look at it, right? Who cares? You've seen them all
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: the time. But if you're driving down the road and
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: there's a purple cow, you're gonna look like four times.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: You're gonna remember that. Someone could ask you a year
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: later and you'll be like, yeah, I saw a purple cow.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: And it's like, the only difference is it's purple. And
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: it's kind of the same way on social media, right?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Like if you're scrolling through videos and it's something you've
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: seen before, nothing too crazy, it's almost like you should
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: visualize as like that's the equivalent of someone seeing a cow.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: But if it's something they've never seen before, like you
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: putting a bunker underground and two people living in it, that's,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: that is the equivalent of a purple cow on social media.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Like, how do I make something that Prince would drink
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: milk out of, you know?
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Wait, what'd you just say?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Like, how do you make something that Prince would drink
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: milk out of? Prince, um, Prince musician, what's his last name? Prince?
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: You know I'm talking about Prince from Minnesota? No.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Oh, Prince. I've heard the word.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Little Rick Corvette. Yeah. You know that song? He's a musician,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: but purple. He was like a purple guy.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: So like how do you make this, right? There's 2,000 princes, right?
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: But he's the one-on-one. He's Prince.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Gotcha, gotcha.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: Right? That's what I'm saying. How do you.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I got you.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I'm saying the same thing you're.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Saying, I think. That's a very important thing. If anyone's watching,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: everyone wants to do social media, make your ideas the
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: purple cow. Don't just be the cow. You'll blend in.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: I like going to live events.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: I know that.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: I know that right now I'm actually going to get
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: my friend some tickets so we can go see the
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: Bengals and the Steelers game. as a gift, as a

- 1:03:30Speaker 1: dang so many. I don't even wear neckties. I had
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: enough of them. You could rappel down a dang third

- 1:04:35Speaker 2: That's the truth. Therapy.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: You know, we think about it sometimes. Some people think
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: they don't need it. You'll figure it out yourself, will you?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: How long are you going to tell yourself that? You know,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I would tell myself things for years. Oh, well, this
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: will get better in five years, and it's the same
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: in 10 years, and it's the same. Now, I don't
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: know that therapy would definitely help, but nothing changes if
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: nothing changes.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Baby, something helps. That's the truth.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: You know, especially during the holidays, you're like, oh, man,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I still have the same issue that I had last year. Man,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I wish I could have solved it this year or
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: at least addressed it, helped talk about it with someone
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: so I could show up a little differently for myself. Well,

- 1:05:53Speaker 1: you or your work, do you feel like?
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Well, that's a good one. I would say the biggest
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: one is I think people think we– make content for kids.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: And like, you know, but that's a great answer.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: And it's a lot of, cause I've been famous, famous
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: air quotes, I don't know, but for a while now.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: And I, the thing is when I was like in
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: my young, like 20 years, I'm 26 now. And I
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: was like 20 or 21. I didn't have much experience
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: with storytelling or like making these like videos with contestants
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: and like how to like show what they were feeling
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: or anything. So back then the videos came across a
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: little like ADHD, like fast paced or whatever, because I
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: it's not like I had Christopher Nolan as a father
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: teaching me, I was just learning storytelling as I was going.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: So a lot of my videos back then got a
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: lot of views. And like same when I was like
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: 22 or 23. But you know, the last three years,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: we've really leveled up the storytelling and building characters and
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: especially the last 18 months and gotten better at like
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: making content that Um, you know, people in their twenties
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: and thirties would be like, well, this is like good
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: and could enjoy, but because a lot of people haven't
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: seen my newer videos and watch my older ones, they
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: still think all my videos are like that. So they
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: just kind of like push it off. So like when
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: someone says like, ah, your videos are too ADHD and
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: you don't have any storytelling, I'll usually like show them
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: like one or two of our newer videos. I was like,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: oh my God, this is great. And I was like, yeah,
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: let me guess. You just haven't seen a video in
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: two years. I was like, yeah. And so that kind
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: of is a little bit of a misconception. I'm constantly fighting.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Yeah, is that you're still like this kind of just
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: entertainment for kids or that your entertainment, your ability to
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: entertain is also still junior.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. And so, which obviously younger people watch the videos.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: Oh yeah, great. I mean, I think like anyone, you know,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: could watch that bunker video and be like, whoa, this
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: is just high quality entertaining stuff. It's not like you
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: have to be. Oh, I love that. Yeah, it's not
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: like you have to be.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: The child inside of me liked it and the adult
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: inside of me liked it.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Exactly. You know? So that would be one. I guess
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: other misconceptions of it is like, we, I mean, we,
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: it looks like a lot of these videos just, you know,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: it just looks like me and the boys having fun
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: because that's what I want it to look like. I
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: want to put the boys in an environment where they're
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: just themselves and things like that. I think people think
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: what I do is a lot easier than it is. Like, um,
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: like these things are monster monumental projects that are a
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: pitch to fucking do. And it's like, you know, and
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: you know, a hundred plus million people are going to
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: watch it and you know, like, so everything's just gotta
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: be fucking great and perfect. And, but we don't have
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: years to do these things. We're trying to do what
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: most people would do in a year in two months.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: So it's like, you know, it is tight timelines and it's,
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: it's just, we don't have the budgets of these giant
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: studios or anything when we're doing these YouTube videos. And
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: it's just, it's, it's very, very difficult. You know what
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: I mean? Like I have hundreds of employees full time.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: You do.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Yeah. That depend on that YouTube channel. You know what
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I mean? At Mr.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Beast productions.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. I, I don't even know if I guess Mr.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: B studios, but yeah, it's, uh, it's just a lot
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: of pressure because it's, uh, Yeah, it's just a lot
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: of people depend on it. And it's just absurd to
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: think that I have all these employees and we're spending
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: all this money and I just assume, like the magical
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: YouTube algorithm when I post this video is just gonna
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: give me it to 100 million people every single time
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: and it's like it's just like that's a lot of
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: stress and it's like it's a lot of people who
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: you know watch the con it's just a lot of
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: everything it's a lot of pressure a lot of stress
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: and it's like If I don't film, then there's no video.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: So it's also not a typical business because, you know,
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: you can, any other company, you can replace basically anyone.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: But you are the business. Exactly. I am. Like, literally,
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: if I'm just like, yo, for the next month, I
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: don't want to film, the business is dead. You know
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: what I mean? So it's like, it's, yeah, it's, I wouldn't, I,
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: I just, it's a lot. It's just a lot.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: It seems like a lot, but do you, did you
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: know it was going to be that much stress? Do
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: you find that you like the stress? Like I remember
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: even just for myself, right? Like we have responsibilities. Now
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: we do like six episodes a month now. Yeah. And
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: at first I remember I could barely do one episode
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: a week was tough in some weeks.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: It still is.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: But then some days I'll go through and it's like,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: this just starts to feel easier. I start to kind
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: of acclimate to where I am. And then there's a
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: part of my brain that's like, okay, well now what
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: can we do? But that same part of my brain
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: is just the brain that, that forgets like fucking, we
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: barely just got to this place and are we even
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: okay here? Right. So it's tough for me to like
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: monitor the different parts of my brain. The one that
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: wants to do more or try new things. And the
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: one that also wants to make sure we're okay. We're
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: at and not be happy. Right.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: And be happy.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: It's like, yeah.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: So most of the time I work now it's like, um,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: I guess what my, my question is like, I don't
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: know what it is, man.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: Do you know what it is? I get what you're
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: trying to ask. It's like, how do you, uh, which
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: side of the pendulum are you swinging between being stressed
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: and wanting to die constantly or like prioritizing being happy
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: and like that basically. Yeah. And are you able to
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: battle that?
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Do you know, did you know you were as competitive in, and,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: or do you think you're competing against like the algorithm
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: or you want people to see it? Like, you know,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: what is that thing that are you able to notice? Like,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: cause I don't even know sometimes what drives me to
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: do things or even want to learn more.
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: Yeah. I would say I like you, I'm, just incredibly, incredibly,
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: incredibly competitive. I just love winning. And the thing is,
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: I think people have a misconception. They like try to
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: put everyone, especially famous people in a box where it's like,
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: this is what motivates them. And this one reason is
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: why they do everything. And I believe you can be
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: motivated by multiple things, right? Like one thing that pushes
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: me is the fact that, you know, a lot of
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: my friends I grew up with work for me, right?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: And I don't want to ever have to fire them
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: because we can't afford to pay them. I have people who,
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: you know, moved across the world to come work for me.
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: So you know, that's one thing that motivates me being
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: able to provide for the people who risked everything. Another
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: thing that motivates me is I just love entertaining people.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: And the fact that I get to entertain a hundred
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: million people or 200 million people or whatever it is, like,
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: I think our average videos are doing 200 million views
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: in the first year. Like, I know that's a, thing
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: that won't last forever, right? I mean, that's like, at
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: some point, you know, I'm not going to be able
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: to upload something and 3% of the humans alive are
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: going to watch it. You know what I mean? So
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: part of it is I want to make sure I'm
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: like taking advantage of the opportunity I have here because
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: this is like, and when I'm 40, I can't expect that.
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like, um, and so that's one.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: And another one is like, it just, for whatever reason,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: it just is like built in my blood. Like, this
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: is just what I do. Like working is just what
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: I live for. And like, I don't really know what
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: else to do with my life. Like, it just, I'm
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: just a machine that goes in. If I'm not working
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: on something like stimulating and pushing and innovating, I just
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: kind of get depressed. And like, I'm like, why am
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: I alive? What am I doing?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: You know, you get that from one of your folks,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: you think?
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: No, I've just kind of always been like this. My
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: mom hates it. Cause I don't really celebrate wins or anything.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: I just always grinding on things. And, um, yeah, I
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: don't know. I think just some people are hardwired like that.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: And I think, but I, I think, um, you just
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: gotta be who you are like that. It just is
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: who I am, but there's, there's other people who see
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: my lifestyle. Cause I've talked about it on podcasts and,
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: you know, a lot of creators want to be like
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: me and, um, and then they end up scaling up
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: bigger teams and they end up trying to do videos
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: like me. And then they end up, they're, find out
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: they're miserable and they'd fucking hate it. And it's too
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: much trash and pressure. And so I wouldn't, I wouldn't
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: advise this for most creators, right? Like I don't, I don't,
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: like I don't have work life balance. I just, you
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: don't work. No, I just, I mean, I'm like, there
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: are some months where, you know, I film 28 days,
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: you know, and I still have to run festivals. I
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: still do, uh, you know, uh, film 28 days on
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: the main channel that I, I filmed for our beast
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: philanthropy channel. I still film stuff for Tik TOK because
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: we have over a hundred million followers to Tik TOK
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: and I have to do stuff on Instagram. I still
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: have to network and do these things. And, um, it's,
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: it's like, I mean, it's basically, if my eyes are open,
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: I'm there to work. It's like, you know, I have
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: a person whose job is just to help me basically
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: write everything I want to accomplish on a whiteboard. I mean,
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: it will take up the size of this wall and
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: it's like all my priles and things I could be
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: doing things I should be doing things other people need
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: me to be doing. And then, you know, we'll just
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: go in the next seven days, I'll circle all the
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: things I want to do ancillary on top of what
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: naturally I have to do. And, um, and then he'll
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: just like schedule out basically every second my eyes are open. Um, and, uh,
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: which is good because it helps me. I sometimes fall
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: into the trap of being reactive. Like, you know, my content,
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: you know, channel needs me to film this, this needs
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: feastables needs me to do this. And, but you know,
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: you're never going to achieve something great if you're just
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: constantly like, like a ping pong ball being told what
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: you need to do by your employees. So occasionally you
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: need to be proactive and do other things that, you know,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: people wouldn't think of and be a little bit more
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: of a visionary. So doing that kind of helps make
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: sure I'm prioritizing things correctly and things like that.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Well, it's interesting because in the beginning, you're kind of
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: working for yourself because you're the creator, but then you
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: build an audience and then you start to work for
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: the audience in a weird way, right? Yeah.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: And there's no judgment against that, but I just noticed
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: that in my own life in the beginning, like I'd
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: give anything to have an audience, you know, but it's
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: more like me. It felt like me being me, but
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: then it's also starts to feel like you Now you
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: have the audience. Now you have somebody to work for.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, because you technically couldn't just 180 and like, you know,
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: because if you did, you'd lose your audience. And so, yeah,
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: I guess technically you're working for them in a way. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: I was going to say, what did you learn about
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: being a boss? Like, because I never wanted to be
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: like having any employees. Right.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: I never even wanted to be an employee. Right.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I didn't want to have any employees.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: I wanted to have pizza. Sounds like the life.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I'm saying? I wanted to live
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: in a park.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is, um, oh shit, hold on.
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: I know what it is.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: I think that what did you learn about yourself? Like
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: about being a boss? Like I learned that if I
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: don't show up in a comfortable way, then, uh, it's,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: it affects my, how my employees are. I've learned that
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I have to communicate better as to what I want
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: or cause people don't just know what I want. Like
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: those are some things that I've learned, learned in the
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: hard way kind of, whether things that you've learned, this
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: is about being a boss.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Oh, I mean, of course. Um, Cause I went from
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: one to, I think now across everything, I employ over
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: 400 people. So full time. So it's like, yeah, I
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: mean that when I first started hiring people, I was,
- 1:15:49Speaker 2: I was 19. So like, or not, maybe even 18.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: So I was a teenager with no idea. I mean, yeah,
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: you asked what I learned. I mean, at the start,
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: I literally went to, this is how stupid I was
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: when I was a teenager. I literally went to a
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: comedy club or whatever comedy, what was it? Comedy. Open mic. Yeah.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Tariq was one of the people I hired there. It's funny.
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: He's still here seven days later, seven years later, but, uh,
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: I went to an open mic and I was just like,
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: you know, um, I want my YouTube channel to be
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: a little funnier. So I'm just going to go hire
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: some random comedians at an open mic. So I just
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: went to one and then I just was like writing
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: on like a notepad every time they've they made me laugh,
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: the comedians, and then the ones that made me laugh
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: the most, they just afterwards went backstage and I was like, yo,
- 1:16:29Speaker 2: you want a job? You want to help me make
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: YouTube videos? And that's how I first started hiring. And
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: then after that, I went into like my local Best Buy,
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: you know, like the electronics store. It's fucking stupid, but
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: I didn't know what I was doing. Like, obviously, if
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: you want to hire people, you should just go find
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: production people or people with creative experience or whatever, not...
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: going to a local Best Buy and I hired like
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: seven people in my local electronics store. And so I
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: have like this ragtag group of comedians and this ragtag
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: group of people who sell fucking laptops. And I'm like, yo,
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: and mixed in with some people I just hired from
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: my high school. And I'm like, and we're making these
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: videos that are getting views and like I'm scaling up
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: and I'm like, you know, I'm like, guys, let's give
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: my three million subscriber three million pennies. And they're like,
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: how the fuck do we get three million pennies? I'm like,
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: I don't know. And we're just like brute forcing shit.
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: And I mean, it was an absolute dumpster fire. I
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: didn't know what I was doing because I wish I
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: had a mentor or something. But then after a while,
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: I realized, oh, maybe I should hire people who have
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: a little bit of experience in this field, not laptop
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: salesmen and comedians. And over time, we kind of started
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: to figure it out and.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Um, but you stayed in motion. It sounds like too, though,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: like you kept, you were like, this is how I do.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I need something funny. I'll go to a place that
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: has funny. I need a guy who can, you know,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: sell refrigerators, but talk about also iPods. Right. I'll go
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: to a Best Buy. Right.
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: Yeah. The Best Buy is the dumbest thing I've ever
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: done in my life.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Cause some of those people are just smoking weed and
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: wearing a shirt. They're not even clocked in. Yeah, it
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: was like wearing a blue shirt.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: It was not that high. Yeah. The highest quality people. Yeah.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: One of them ended up being a convicted felon, too.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: And I didn't even realize that when I hired him.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: But yeah, it's just like, oh, you know, Best Buy
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: hired them. I'm sure they do. They're fine.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: I was supposed to do background checks when I was
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: a teenager. Obviously, we do that now. But yeah, I mean,
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: everything I I didn't know how payroll worked or taxes.
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: I didn't know. I didn't know what a CFO was or.
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: bookkeeping so it's just like a lot um and i
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: just had to learn it through trial and error but
- 1:18:27Speaker 2: this we have an audience the whole time so it's
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: not like i can just pause things and then like
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: go oh let me just get rid of all these
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: best buying comedians and replace them for real people so
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: i have to keep filming but these videos we're filming
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: are videos no one's ever done before so these are
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: really complicated things that are constantly going wrong like i
- 1:18:41Speaker 2: think back then like one in three videos i filmed
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: just like i didn't like it so i scrapped it
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: or it got fucked up when we were filming it
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: or whatever because like it was, these were just big
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: spectacles and we just didn't have the team for it.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: And I was reinvesting everything. And like, there was one
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: time where I like, uh, I accidentally overspent and we
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: were like negative $ 200, 000. Yeah. My mom was like losing
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: her fucking mind. And I was like, it's fine, mom.
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: I'll just next month, I think we'll make like, you know,
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: 200 grand or whatever. And I'll just like spend a
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: little less. And I will, I will dig out of
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: this hole. Like she hated it.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: Cause she was helping with the finances.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: Well that, but we just didn't have money growing up.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: And so like, like when, when I wanted to, like
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: when I think one month we made like a hundred
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: thousand dollars and she was like very adamant. She's like,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: just put, 20% away. Just let me build a nest egg,
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: this and that. And I was like, no, actually I
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: was thinking of just giving like a hundred thousand dollars
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: to Twitch streamers. I think that'd be a good video.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: People would like, and she's like, she like for 10
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: hours straight was like, why not give them 80,000? It's like,
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: because I, and this is where I'm a lot better
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: at communicating now than I was back then. I was like,
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: I mean, you're talking like, this is a guy who
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: grew up with pimples, didn't communicate much, sat in his
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: room and fucking worked on YouTube videos and obsessed over
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: you know, business and entrepreneurship where everyone else just want
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: to watch South Park. And so I, I didn't relate
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: to anyone. So my social skills, like skills were negative 10,000.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: So I was horrible at communicating things. So I'd just
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: be like, and like in hindsight, it's kind of obvious,
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: but at the time, like there's a huge language barrier
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: between me and my mom, because all that existed in
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: this brain was make the best video as possible, you know,
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: and she didn't fully get that. And like, that was,
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: that was it. I was, I was a robot that, that,
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: that is what I live for. I was a, I
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: was not a human at that time. And so I
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: was just like, if we made a hundred grand, why
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: would I not spend the hundred grand on videos? And
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: she'd be like, put some away. And I was like,
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: but if I put it away, I would just spend
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: it on other videos. So why can't I just spend
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: it on videos now? And we would just do that
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: hours every single day.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: You're like, if I put away 20 grand, you know
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: that I'm only going to be able to make 80%
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: of the best video I could make at that time.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: And we're not going to do that. Why am I
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: putting the money away? To not make a good video?
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: I was like, mom, my rent is like $ 350. I,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: the car's fine. I was like, why do we need
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: to put it away? And she's, she'd just be like, and, but,
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: and I also didn't fully realize this, but you know,
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: she would even get trauma to like 2008 when they
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: lost everything and went bankrupt. And so she was like,
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: we got to save something. Yeah, exactly. But yeah. So
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: that's what would make it intense. And I didn't fully
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: understand it at the time either. So it would like
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: get her to the point where she would cry because
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: I would reinvest everything. And she just like, didn't want
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: what happened to her in 2008 to happen to me.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: And I just like, didn't care at all. I just like, wow,
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: trust me videos. And so that happened. That was a
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: thing for a very long time, but eventually she got
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: to the point where she's like, you know what? I'll
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: just trust you. And that's when, that's when things got great.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: Cause then like it helped my relationship with her a
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: lot because she started stressing less and she just believes,
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: you know, I got it. She's like, Jimmy, you'll figure
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: this out. Exactly. And like Mr. Beast, son Beast. Yeah.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: When shit happens, she just goes, I know you'll figure
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: it out. I'm like, thanks. Like no need for you
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: to cry or freak out. Like I got this. Wow.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Did you ever do something nice for your mom? Something,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: did you guys ever go to a concert together or something?
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: Y'all like to do anything together right now?
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: I don't really get any time off. So I, we
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: joke like in 10 years, all the things we'll do
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: when like things kind of cool off. But no, we, she,
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: she gets it. She, um, she actually sent me a message. Like,
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: I think it was like four days ago, like a
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: really long message saying how like, she was very grateful
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: that she still gets to work with me and do
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: things with me and how like most people in my
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: position would like push their mom away. But we, we
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: do a lot of our bonding is like doing work
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: stuff and things like that because it's like, then it's
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: like something I truly care about. You know what I mean?
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: Like if we went to a concert, like she would
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: see through that facade. She would know I'm not doing
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: that because I care, just doing it to like check
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: a box. So, But when we work together, it's like
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: genuinely fulfilling and it's cool to like, she likes to
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: work too. Yeah. Well it, the stuff she was doing
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: when we're building the business. No, that was very stressful.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: Now we have it to stuff that's a little more
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: chill and where it's fun. Like, you know, we have
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: hundreds of employees that have Divi cards and all these things.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: And so we have a lot of bank accounts, you know,
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: how do you know, you know, someone's not just stealing money. Yeah.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: So who else can you trust besides your mom to
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: control the master accounts? Cause at some point there's a
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: master key is someone who could, I mean, if they
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: wanted to just withdraw a million dollars and just fucking
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: run to Mexico.
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: You know? So like, that's like a really big thing
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: that I counted my mom just to like manage the
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: accounts and make sure there's no fraud and stuff like that.
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: Cause I don't fucking know. Like, um, and things like that. Um,
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: but yeah, it's, uh, it's been a, it's been a
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: fun journey. And so I'm very grateful for my mom.
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: It's kind of crazy that like moms just put 18
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: years of their life, just pouring everything into building this human.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: And it's a risk, dude.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Like this human. And most humans, look up most
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: humans or whatever.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Wait, most humans?
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: It's, you know, it's a shaky business. Just being a human.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: I know. And then they just unleash you in the
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: wild and then you just move on. And it's like,
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: it's just wild. It's really a crazy premise, you know? Yeah,
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: because I'm thinking about how like, you know, when I
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: love to spoil my mom because I'm like, you just
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: like gave everything for 18 years, especially after 2008 and
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: all this stuff. you know, worked multiple jobs just so
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: I could like, at the time, what you thought was
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: just be a brat and work on YouTube videos. And
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: you thought, you know, just basically it almost would have
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: seemed by my purpose in life was to make it
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: as miserable as possible. Yet you kept raising me and
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: didn't give up on me. Um, and it's like, so
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: I think of that and then I'm like, fuck, I
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: need to spoil my mom. It's like, you know, like
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: I think of a different parallel universe where I'm not
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: in this position. It's like, damn, I would never have
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: been able to like repay her for all that time.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Spoiler as much.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Or spoiler as much.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: There's been recently like in the news and stuff, I'm
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: not as abreast on it, but there was like, it
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: seemed like they were trying to like poke holes in
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: you guys' company and stuff.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: But a lot of it, like there were, I don't
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: know if there was like different allegations and stuff against,
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: I don't know if it was against you or your company,
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: but none of it, from what I've seen, there was
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: never any like validity to it.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Right? Do you believe that there was actually something going
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: on at your company that was bad? Or do you
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: believe that other people, like at a certain point, if
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: your company's doing so well, that other companies or outside
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: dark interests get upset and try to lead like reporters
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: or create like a negative buzz?
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Is that a crazy question? No, no, it's accurate. It's
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: the thing. Thing is, again, I have hundreds of employees
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: that I employ full-time, but I've also hired hundreds of
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: people in the past. And sometimes we have hundreds of
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: contractors just working on singular videos because the sets are
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: so big. So we work with lots of people. It's
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: impossible for there never to be anything negative. That's why
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: you have HR and things like that. So, no, I mean,
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: it would be... crazy to say there's never been any
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: issues where no one that's ever worked for me has
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: ever been unhappier or one employee's never said anything dumb
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: to some other employee that made them want to complain
- 1:25:55Speaker 2: or things like that. But I think the thing is,
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: it's just obviously completely blown out of proportion. That's not
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: a thing that's just particular to us. Any company with
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: hundreds of employees, obviously there's going to occasionally be something
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: someone says is something that's inappropriate or something that's not ideal,
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: but that's when we're made aware of it. We obviously
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: have HR look into it, or if it's something serious,
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: we'll bring in an outside third party, have them look
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: into it and just tell us what to do. You
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: know what I mean?
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: And it's weird for you because if something happens at Nike,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: then it's like there's an issue. There's something happened at Nike.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: But if something happens at a production company and you
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: are basically... the, you were exactly the business, then a
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: lot of it probably just feel.
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: Like I have people in play that I've never met
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: in my life. I probably never will. I mean, cause
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: we just have so many, um, people and some of
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: them don't work in my hometown and things like that. So, yeah,
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: I mean, the answer is like, yeah, it's absurd to
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: think that, you know, hundreds of people, or sometimes over
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: a thousand when we scale up contractors working together all
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: these hours that there'll never be any issues. Um, and yeah,
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: all I can really do is, make sure I'm not
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: creating an environment where we're influencing that, which we're doing
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: our best. And like, and then when those kinds of
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: things happen, just bring in someone to look into it
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: and just be like, yo, tell me what to do
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: because I'm a fucking YouTuber. You know what I mean?
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: You know, if someone says something like, you know, Hey
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: there darling or whatever. And then someone, that person feels
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: like that was inappropriate. Like, I don't want to be
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: the judge of that. I want to, I don't want
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: someone in my company to be a judge of it.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: I want to bring someone in and be like, yo,
- 1:27:23Speaker 2: talk to them, gather the facts, and you tell me
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: what I'm supposed to do, which is what we do.
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: And that's all I really can do, you know?
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it would seem like, God, it would just seem
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: like so much stuff is out of your hands when
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: it's gotta be tough when you're a creator, you know,
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: because you wanna be, do every, you know, you kind
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: of wanna do everything and have it as a business scales.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: It's kind of tough because you can't, you know? What
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: else did I wanna ask you about?
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Oh, I wanted to ask you about- Oh, he's got
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: the flashcards.
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: Sorry, dude.
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: No, no, it's cool.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: I went as long as I could.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: Without them.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: That's about, that was a long for me. So yeah,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: like you've had, like we were talking earlier about like philanthropy.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: So you had, like you've taken plastics out of the ocean, right?
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: You put, help people with eyesight and, um, you put
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: the water, you've done water wells in Africa or Zambia.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah. In Africa, Africa.
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: Did you, um, like what is, is, is there like
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: a overall goal of like a big crazy vision you
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: see for the future of like some sort of philanthropic
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: idea for us or just in general? Yeah. Just in general,
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: it could be anything.
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: Um, well, the thing I've been focusing most of my
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: time on in that area recently is, um, So for festivals,
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: obviously chocolate is made of cocoa. There's a lot of
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: unethical stuff that goes on a cocoa farms. I don't
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: know if you're aware of that. I've used, yeah.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: It depends on what kind of farms we're talking about,
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: but I, yeah, well, there's some definitely, yeah.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: And West Africa, like, uh, so majority of the world's
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: cocoa comes from Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana. Uh, it's like, I
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: believe like 70% of the world's cocoa and like Cote d'Ivoire.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: Yeah. kota vara uh kotevar yeah kotevar yeah kotevar yeah
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: and then ghana they're on the left oh and ghana
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: kotevar and ghana.
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: Yeah yeah two countries are on the left side of
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: africa kind of like we're the round part right there
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: it's like the perfect place to go grow cocoa and
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: so but 46 percent of the labor on farms there
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: which is where almost all the cocoa in the world
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: comes from is child labor so it's like pretty pretty
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: like just a lot of things going on there and
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: so um that's where I've been focusing on my attention.
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: Cause obviously we need a lot of cocoa for festivals.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: And so we used to get our cocoa from Peru,
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: which ethical sourcing is not as big of a problem
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: over there. And we use a lot of family owned
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: farms and blah, blah, blah. But the thing is there's
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: not enough cocoa comes from Peru to supply big chocolate.
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: And I wanted to show like, so saying I ethically
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: source my cocoa from Peru doesn't really prove anything because
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: big other chocolate companies will just go, okay. but we
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: can't do that. There's not enough cocoa in Peru. So
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: like that doesn't count. It's not possible to ethically source
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: cocoa in West Africa. So, and I knew if Feastables
- 1:30:02Speaker 2: kept growing, eventually we'd have to switch over there. So
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: this past year we switched our supply chain over there
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: and we've been just working with the, have you ever
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: heard of Tony Chocolone? Probably not. Tony Chocolone? Yeah. No.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: And is it a real person?
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: Well, it's a reporter who went like super deep in
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: exposing like the chocolate industry and chocolate.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: Yeah. And then, but, and he was like, and no,
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: no chocolate companies would, uh, ethically sourced their cocoa and
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: he kept exposing them and none of them would he
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: be a cool guest you think yeah yeah he'd be awesome.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Wow it's crazy i didn't know there's bad chocolate.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: Yeah so he started his own chocolate company to prove
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: that you could ethically source and he called it tony's
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: chocolate only because it's the lonely oh yeah i've seen
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: those yeah badass baller company and so i've been working
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: with them to figure out how we can also ethically
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: source our chocolate Um, because they're, they're the only ones
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: really doing it.
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Clean cocoa, dude.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Yeah. So we are built a supply chain with them.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: And so like all our farmers were fair trade certified.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: And then we pay our farmers a living income because
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: a big reason why there's child labor is because farmers
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: in West Africa just don't make enough money. So it like,
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: that is like, if you're to rank the issues, like
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: the number one issue is just income. Like they just
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: can't even afford to hire adults. They don't make enough. So,
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: What they do and what we're doing for Feastables is
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: there's a living income reference price where they basically look
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: at the cost of bread, the cost of living, cost
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: of inflation, blah, blah, blah. And they go, if a
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: farmer were to sell you a metric ton of beans,
- 1:31:25Speaker 2: if they don't get paid this number, then they won't
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: be able to make a living income. They won't be
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: able to live, which then means they'll be forced to
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: use child labor because if not. It's like they're that's
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: the only way they'll be able to survive.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Right. So they have to have children working.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: Yeah. So they need to make and I'm paraphrasing this
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: a mile high stuff, but they need to make this
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: theoretical number, which is living income reference price. And so
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: that's what we guarantee our farmers. So if like they
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: theoretically sell us the cocoa, a metric ton of cocoa
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: for less than that. We'll pay a premium on top
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: and be like, no, here's extra money. This is what
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: you need to make so you can actually live. But,
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: you know, we don't want child labor on the farm.
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: So we'll guarantee you'll make this much. But I don't
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: want to see fucking nine-year-old Timmy on the cocoa farm.
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: You know what I mean? So that's like the big thing.
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: And then we do like they have farm coaches that
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: because another way. to help farmers make more money. It's
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: not just pay them more, but it's also helped them
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: get more yield out of their farms. So they have
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: coaches that will help counsel them and, you know, theoretically
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: try to help them get five or 10% more yield
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: out of the same hectares they have, um, occasionally give
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: them some supplies. It's like very like all about getting it.
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: Cause it's, it's an income problem for a lot of them,
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: why they're using child labor. You could go to the
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: farm and be like, stop using child labor. But if
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: they can't, If they can't.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: Survive, the family can't eat if the kids don't also work.
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: So that's been a big journey. I actually spent recently
- 1:32:47Speaker 2: a week in Ghana just going through the whole supply chain.
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: So I worked on the farm, you know, and then
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: you laid the, cracked the pods, laid out to dry,
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: and then saw like where they dry and then where
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: they store the beans. And even how like the government
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: like does QC on the beans. Went through the whole
- 1:33:00Speaker 2: thing all the way to the ship, just like, so
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: this has been the last year of probably like, a
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: good fucking chunk of my time has been going to
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: like figure out ethical sourcing with them because it's, it's
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: very like, it's very expensive, you know? So I just
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: want to make sure we're doing it right. And, um, yeah.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: And also that's a way of, that's a really a
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: big form of philanthropy itself because, you know, just teaching
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: these people how to do, how to have more success
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: in their own lives. I mean, that kind of stuff
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: is huge. You teach one person in an area and
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: then they can be a leader and teach other people.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: It's like, you don't even realize kind of the residual
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: effects of that.
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: I hope to, um, like I hope to, get it
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: where if Feastables keeps growing, where we can be like, look,
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: we're a big chocolate company and we're ethically sourced and
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: we're profitable. So then we can look at other big
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: chocolate companies and go, you have no excuse, right? Right
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: now they can all just say, it's impossible. You don't understand,
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: you know, you don't have scale at companies our size.
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: This is like, this is a fairytale dream, but because
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: no one's doing it, you know, that's actually doing serious revenue.
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: So if we can get to that point where theoretically
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: we're selling a billion dollars a year of chocolate, and
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: it's ethically sourced and it's profitable, then they have no excuse. Exactly.
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: Because there's over a million kids in child labor on
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: cocoa farms in West Africa right now. No way. Yeah,
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: and Feastables itself is not going to be able to
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: get all a million out. But if we could theoretically
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: get tens of thousands of kids out of child labor...
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: and then use that in my platform and stuff like
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: this to bully everyone else, then hopefully that can create
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: a snowball that gets hundreds of thousands of kids out there.
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: Big chocolate's going down, boy. I like that. I hate
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: Three Musketeers. I'll say it out loud. And when people
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: eat them, and I'll say this, when people eat them,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: I judge them.
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: No comment. I don't want to get sued.
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: I'm just saying I don't like them.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: Yeah, he does not like Three Musketeers.
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: And I can say that, can I?
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: Yeah, you can say that. Yeah.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: I don't like them.
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: I could say I don't like Three Musketeers either, not
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: because of anything, just I don't like it.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: Oh, no, I don't know any of their behaviors. I
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: don't know what they're doing before they mail it to
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: me or whatever.
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: I never have liked it. And I don't even believe
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: in it.
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: Yeah. Which is also a way that I feel about it.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: Like when I open it up, I don't even believe
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: in it.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: And paydays.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: The nuts aren't any good in them anymore. And they
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: were better when my mom.
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: Yeah, Payday's, I feel like if they had like a
- 1:35:13Speaker 2: little more saltiness, a little more nuts, those things would
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: be the bomb. Yeah, the chewy stuff in the middle
- 1:35:18Speaker 2: is just a little too overpowering now.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: I agree. Yeah.
- 1:35:20Speaker 2: Payday's are like so close to being a phenomenal product.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: Yep. And the nuts used to be a little more.
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: They had more edges on them. They looked like more nuts.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Bro, I relate. I had a Payday recently. I thought
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: the same thing. I was like this like fucking shit
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: in the middle. It's just not. There's no flavor. I
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: want more fucking salt.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: It fell off for me and I don't know when.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: My mom used to get them sometimes. It would be
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: like a special thing that she would get, but she
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: would let us watch her eat them. I'm going to
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: tell you this. Did you, do you ever dealt with like,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: you're so big on YouTube. Do you ever deal with
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: sanctions and stuff on there? Have you had to deal
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: with that? Is that a conversation you have with them?
- 1:35:50Speaker 2: Sanctions?
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: Like, or do, or they say like, you can't do
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: certain things. Like, do you have to like submit all
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: your videos and, and like go through a process like that? Well,
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: can we even talk about that?
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: We can, we can talk about the conspiracy theorists are
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: going to run away with this, but a lot of
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: there's a, when there's like a higher ad, what is it?
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: When you get bigger, there's like a Google preferred or whatever,
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: where it's like a, for bigger advertisers like Coke or whatever,
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: like premium advertisers, they want to make sure they're not
- 1:36:19Speaker 2: advertising on, you know, bad content. So like for bigger channels, YouTube,
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: if they'll review your video before it goes up, just
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: to make sure it's clean and you're not just like
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: saying Hitler a thousand times, um, to make sure it's
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: good for bigger advertisers. So they review it for that,
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: but they do that for, I believe thousands of creators
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: right now, which, you know, but you don't have to
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: do that. Uh, it just helps you get higher ad rates. But, um, No,
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: I mean, I just post whatever. They don't know what
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: I'm doing or anything. And they're pretty chill.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: Do you think they're in a tough position? uh with
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: what just like having to set up parameters for different
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: videos and like the effect that it could have on
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: certain people and that sort of thing like i think
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: i always just think about it from my perspective i'm
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: always like well we're upset you know sometimes like oh
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: they'll make us take a joke or this joke or
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: this sort of thing they may not you know.
- 1:37:03Speaker 2: Well you the thing is they're not making you take
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: it out they're just saying if you don't take it
- 1:37:07Speaker 2: out you won't get higher ad rates that's a good
- 1:37:08Speaker 2: point think of any brand that spends a billion dollars
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: in your marketing that's them saying hey youtube If any
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: of these things are in a video, we don't want
- 1:37:15Speaker 2: to be on it. And YouTube's just going, hey, take
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: this out or we can't put these premium ads on you,
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: which I think makes perfect sense.
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Sometimes I only look at
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: it from my perspective. I'm not able to look at
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: it from like, oh, also, this is a platform where
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: they allow us to put our stuff up.
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: And then so they also are trying to do business
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: as well.
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: Yeah. What else do we have here? We're almost done.
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: I mean, we can keep going. I'm having fun. You
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: don't drink, right? I've maybe drank like, five times in
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: my life i don't like the way it makes me
- 1:37:42Speaker 2: feel it's like is it out of control that it
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: makes you feel you think no it's just like well
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: so i didn't drink alcohol till i was like 23
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: or 24 i wanted to stay the fuck away from
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: it because i have a very addictive personality so i
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: was my goal was to go my entire life without
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: ever drinking alcohol um but then i was like with
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: logan paul one time or i was i was at
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: a casino oh yeah gambling and then um logan paul
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: was there and then he was like let's hang out
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: and then um was it a ufc fight or something
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: I don't even remember. It might've been like Floyd Mayweather
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: versus Conor McGregor or something. Oh yeah. I don't know.
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: But so I was like, okay, let's, we can gamble together.
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: And then we're walking to like the tables and he
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: stops by a club. He's like, let's just go in here.
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: It'll be one minute. I was like, Oh my God,
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: I fucking hate clubs. They're so boring. So I go
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: in there one minute turns into like two hours and
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: I'm just so fucking bored. And I just caved. I
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: was like, okay, I need, to just drink. And I'd
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: never drank in my life, but I'm like something, I
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: need something. I'm dying. A lot of people need a
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: drink to be around. So that's what I like. That
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: was the time I did it. And then I was
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: just like, Oh, I just kind of like feel weird,
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: but it's not a happy word. It's just like, this is,
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: I just don't like it. You don't dig it. Yeah.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: I think it's getting less and less popular in the world,
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: especially with younger generations. They just think it's kind of dumb.
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know. I don't know how to describe it.
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: It just makes me feel stupid, but not a good stupid.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: It's not like a happy stupid. It's just dumb, like
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: a waste of time. Yeah. Definitely.
- 1:39:07Speaker 1: I've done a lot of that. In July, you tweeted,
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: if you were to lower the age for president, that
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: you might run.
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you still think that ever? Um, no, no, no.
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: I mean, I, I might when I'm older, but not
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: if they lowered it, that was mostly a joke just
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: because I knew people would freak the fuck out and
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: talk about it. Um, and it worked, but I would, uh,
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: if I were to, it would probably be like when
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: I'm like 50 or 60, cause I would need to
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: like accomplish everything I want in business and stuff. And
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: then probably take like 10 years and I'd have to
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: go be like a, do something at the local level
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: and then the state level and work my way up.
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: But yeah, we'll see.
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: But there could be potentially a president beast. You never know.
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah. One, 100%.
- 1:39:50Speaker 1: You never know, especially about if you learn a lot.
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: Do you, um, has Elon ever reached out to you
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: to do something cool together? Cause I mean, you guys
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: at a certain point, you guys are both like, um, uh,
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: pioneers in certain schools of thought and, and, and certainly
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: creative folks.
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, he's pioneering, taking us to Mars, electric cars,
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: talking with your phone through your brain, digging tunnels, fixing traffic,
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: you know, getting rid of a trillion dollars of waste
- 1:40:13Speaker 2: and the government now and this and that, and I'm
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: pioneering funny videos. I don't know if I put those in, but, um,
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: but kidding, but, um, he, yeah, we, we bumped into
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: each other at the super bowl, said hi. Um, I,
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: I don't know. I think he asked me, do, do,
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: do I think people call it, call X Twitter still,
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: or do people call it X? And I was like, yeah,
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: most people call it Twitter. I've noticed he's like, interesting.
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: I think that was kind of like the gist of it.
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: And then, um, but outside of that, no, not really.
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: I mean, I'm in talks with, um, people at SpaceX
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: and even cooking ideas and things like that, but not
- 1:40:52Speaker 2: Elon himself.
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we tried to ask if we could interview
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: the two people stuck up in that shuttle.
- 1:40:59Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that'd be crazy.
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: I wanted it to be the first one because people
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: were like, who do you want to get on your podcast?
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: And I was trying to think, who can you not get?
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: And they're like, oh, somebody who's not on Earth. That's
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: who you got to get. Somebody who's just loitering or whatever.
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: And I love how they're not aliens, but yeah, it's like,
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: Do you think you could get Elon on here one day?
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: I think maybe.
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: They offered to send me a Starlink if I want
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: to get one. So I might get one. Are you
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: using them? Oh, yeah.
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: Starlink's amazing. Bro, when you're in fucking Zambia in the
- 1:41:28Speaker 2: middle of nowhere, that's the only way. Starlink in Antarctica
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: was amazing. Like Antarctica, you're in the middle of nowhere.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: And I mean, literally the furthest from human civilization on
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: the planet. And yeah, you can get internet. It was,
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: it's such a phenomenal product. Did you see anything cool?
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: Like you need, because a lot of people say in
- 1:41:45Speaker 1: article that they're hiding secret stuff up there, that there's
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: that kind of energy. Yeah.
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: Antarctica. You should go to Antarctica at some time in
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: your life. It is.
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: Oh, I would love to go up there.
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: It is up there. Uh, so there's like, uh, there's, you,
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: you go to South America and then you get on
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: a Boeing 747, like an actual like commercial plane.
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: You go to South America.
- 1:42:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, you go all the way to the very
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: bottom of Chile. Oh, because Antarctica's at the bottom. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:42:10Speaker 2: And then you board a commercial plane. You're flying like
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: fucking Delta here. And it just starts flying. And you
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: fly over the ocean, and then you see just this
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: endless abyss of white snow and mountains. And you just
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: keep flying deeper and deeper and deeper into it. And
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: then you just see this just fucking... ice runway i
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: mean it's the sketchiest thing you'll ever see in your
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: life and it just lands this commercial airliner there i
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: i had no idea of any of this going into
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: it i kind of went into it pretty raw and
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: uh you get off it's just this janky little like
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: ladder thing type e um it's uh they know yeah
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: go down one image right there that one click on
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: it because they have to brush all the snow off
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: yeah that's what you land on wow just ice and
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: then um then that's not the one we went to
- 1:42:55Speaker 2: but then there's just this uh research facility where there's
- 1:42:59Speaker 2: like three big tents that researchers work out of and
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: then there's like a hundred tents that they.
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: All live out of um so there's no actual terminal.
- 1:43:05Speaker 2: No because uh they're it's like so the time where
- 1:43:08Speaker 2: it's like sun 24 7 but then there's like these
- 1:43:11Speaker 2: intense winters like three or four months a year where
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: it's like dark and you can't be there so they
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: have to pack everything up and leave you can't leave
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: anything behind so it's like a temporary thing um and
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: so we get out and there's all these researchers doing
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: experiments and cool shit and i'm just like hey i'm
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: here to film a video um so my So we
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: were supposed to just be there for like two days
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: or three days or whatever, but a snowstorm hits. So
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: what we were going to do is just go out
- 1:43:35Speaker 2: in a random direction and then just set up a
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: camp in the middle of nowhere in Antarctica and try
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: to survive for 50 hours. But there was an intense snowstorm,
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: so we had to sit in these research facilities and
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: wait them out. And one of them was so crazy.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: It's like this tent with like door and it like
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: flew the door flung it open it was so intense
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: that we had to like hold the door shut because
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: it was like barreling snow and I'm like my god
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: I think we're gonna die like it was crazy they're
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: like we haven't had a storm like this in a
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: while and like you have like all these little tents
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: that you live in and like the big communal tents
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: for the, where everyone hangs out and stuff. And the
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: little tent, like we had to build like actual snow
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: walls around our tent because there's so much wind blowing
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: that like our tents would have got swept away. So
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: we had to, I had to barricade the, I'm like,
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: this is just the normal thing. They're like, yeah, that's
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: just what happens. And so you're like building a wall
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: around your, your, you know, metal pole reinforced tent that
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: you're going to sleep in. And like when the winds
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: would pick up at night, I'm like, fuck, it's like,
- 1:44:33Speaker 2: is my tent just gonna fly off? Like I'm- And
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: there's nowhere to run to. Yeah, you just run to
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: the bigger tent, but it's like, it was crazy. You know,
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: and also in Antarctica, probably it's like, you can't pee
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: or shit in the snow or anything. Like, because you
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: can't leave anything behind. Like, that's massively illegal. And so everything,
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: all your waste and stuff, you have to store and
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: carry and hold and that kind of stuff.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: Fly back with it?
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: Well, they will, but you'll just put it in like,
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: like a piss tank where they'll hold onto it.
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: And the shit in the shit bag that, like this
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: big shit thing they had. But also you get snow
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: blindness because everything's white and the sun reflects. So you
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: have to wear glasses when you go outside or you'll
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: literally blind you, which was like, that was crazy. Yeah.
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: Imagine, first of all, you're almost blind. Can't shit. Yeah.
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: Well, so you wear these like tinted glasses. What are
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: you even doing, dude? It's like you're 80 years old.
- 1:45:23Speaker 2: It's so beautiful though. It's like crazy to just see
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: you're just in the middle of nowhere. It feels like
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: you're on a different planet. And it was like, sometimes
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: you just walk outside, you just walk in a direction,
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: you just see nothing anywhere. And it was awesome.
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: Is there a zoo or anything like that?
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: No, there's nothing. Is there any.
- 1:45:41Speaker 1: No animals, nothing? No roads or nothing, huh?
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: No, there's literally nothing there. I mean, and like, so
- 1:45:47Speaker 2: after the snowstorm calmed down, we just went out, like
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: got on these like little skis or things, went far away.
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: But this is where it gets scary because there's crevasses and...
- 1:45:57Speaker 2: ravines and things like that. So you could be walking
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: and then just fall a hundred feet and die. Right.
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: Cause there's like the snow could, uh, have like slightly
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: piled up over like a hundred foot gap in between
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: the ice or things like that. So you have to
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: have like this device go on in front of you
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: that checks to make sure there's not just like a
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: giant hole you're going to fall in and you have
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: to mark everything. So we go out in this random direction.
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: Scan everything. And then we, uh, scanned like this little,
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: like a hundred foot square foot perimeter, put up flags
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: and it's like, guys, if you walk across those flags,
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: There's a chance you'll fucking die. So boys stay within
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: this unless we scan more areas. And then, yeah, we
- 1:46:31Speaker 2: just started setting up tents, raw dogging it in the
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: middle of nowhere, Antarctica, far away from the research facilities.
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: And it was, it was a fucking awesome experience. And
- 1:46:40Speaker 2: then there's this mountain that no one had any records
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: of someone climbing. So we climbed this pretty tall mountain.
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: And so I got to name it, um, which. I
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: named it Shopify because they sponsored the video and helped
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: make the whole thing happen. But it was crazy, man.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: Climbing up this mountain and I just had no idea
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: how we did that. Can you pull it up? Just
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: like go to the 50 hours in Antarctica?
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: Is it nice? And there's no people. There's not like
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: Antarctic and you can't go to a bar.
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: There's nothing. No, there's literally nothing. There's research facilities.
- 1:47:13Speaker 1: So do you think there's crazy stuff going on down
- 1:47:15Speaker 1: there like they say?
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: There's a lot of.
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: No i don't think there's anything i didn't i yeah
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: that see look at that wow it's fucking crazy yeah
- 1:47:25Speaker 2: we were deep in there and it's super cold huh
- 1:47:29Speaker 2: yeah it depends on the time they're they're well so
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: the uh problem is like when you move around and
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: you have so many layers you start to heat up
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: and then you take the clothes off and then you
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: get really cold yeah so you look where we went
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: to is.
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: There a chance that at one point it was thawed
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: out and it was a normal land and we'll be
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: able to explore it one day and we just don't know,
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: or that's complete.
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: Well, there's a, it's not straight. Like those are real
- 1:47:48Speaker 2: rocks and stuff. So it's ice on top of stuff.
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: So yeah, there is land. Um, and it is crazy that,
- 1:47:53Speaker 2: Oh my God.
- 1:47:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: Look at that snowstorm we got hit with. So this
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: is after we left the research facility and now we're
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: going to set up camp and like, yeah, those, those
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: are the goggles you have to wear to not go blind. Um,
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: And then right here is where... It's like a human
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: Iditarod kind of.
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: Oh, that's the island? That's the mountain you named?
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: No, no, that's just Blackhound. Yeah, the mountain's behind us
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: over there. Yeah. And then this is us setting up
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: our tents and just... I mean, we're just a bunch
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: of stupid kids. I don't i don't know how we
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: pulled this off yeah you could have lost a kid
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: easy well yeah obviously we had a safety expert there
- 1:48:25Speaker 2: but yeah but obviously that's it then just skip ahead
- 1:48:28Speaker 2: like towards the end where you see me climbing up
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: the mountain it's probably yeah i don't know maybe after
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: this or before i just wanted to see you Or yeah.
- 1:48:36Speaker 1: And that's just an ice thing you're in?
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: Yeah, keep going to the left. Is that an igloo? No,
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: that's the tent, but it's metal reinforced. Yeah, to the
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: right a little bit. Yeah, right there. Just hit it.
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: Right click a couple or double tap. Yeah, so look
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: at this right here. This is us climbing up the mountain.
- 1:48:52Speaker 2: Look at those views. It's fucking gnarly. Shopify mountain. Yeah,
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: I did an ad read. I was like, what's the
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: most interesting time I can do an ad read? And
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: I was like, where people wouldn't click off. I was like,
- 1:49:05Speaker 2: you know, while I'm climbing this mountain, it'll probably be
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: more interesting.
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: Do you think you'll get to do a video with
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: Kim Jong-un ever?
- 1:49:14Speaker 2: I mean.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: Like a game show to help some of his citizens?
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: I feel like they would think it's Western propaganda. I
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: don't think they would let me. You know what I...
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: first started uploading in China, they called me like an
- 1:49:29Speaker 2: American capitalist or whatever. We posted some of our videos
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: that got views. They're like, this American capitalist. So I
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: stopped posting the videos where we give away money and
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: just more like the challenge videos. And then they're like, oh,
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: this is cool.
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: So they just don't like the money as the goal.
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. They don't want to inspire.
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: They don't want their people to see that.
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: I don't know what the logic was, but I just
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: noticed that a lot in the comments. So I was like, okay,
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: let me just switch up what I'm posting over here.
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: What do you watch on TV, man? You watch anything?
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: What am I watching? Do, do, do. I'm about to
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: start penguin that I haven't, that HBO show. I haven't
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: started that yet. Oh yeah. I haven't seen that yet either.
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: I was on the list for tonight. Um, honestly, I'm
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: watching beast games. Like I probably watched that episode. We
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: watched earlier a hundred times to give still notes on it. Yeah.
- 1:50:19Speaker 3: Notes.
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: But I've also, now I just get enjoyment out of
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: watching other people watch it. Cause that episode is mostly locked,
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: but I'm like, so good, man.
- 1:50:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: I've watched like maybe 30 people watch it. So it's
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: like my, my like a guilty pleasure is just watching
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: like other people watch my show. So that's awesome.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: And to know that it's more for adults. It's like,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: you still, I think you're right. I think you were
- 1:50:40Speaker 1: perfectly right. Like when you think about Mr. Beast, it's like, Um, you, you,
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: there's a party that still thinks part of it's for
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: children and it is for children, but it's also for everyone.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: But beast games is definitely for everyone. I mean, it's
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: the most aged up mature stuff we've ever done. And
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: I just, I just can't wait, man. Cause we spent
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: over a year working on that. I told you how
- 1:50:59Speaker 2: much money we spent on it. It was so much
- 1:51:00Speaker 2: time and effort and like the YouTube videos you make.
- 1:51:02Speaker 2: And then you upload two months later to sit on
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: this for so long. And we have 10 episodes of
- 1:51:06Speaker 2: a film that's like, just to put it out in
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: the world will just Fucking awesome. God fucking damn it.
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: So you're, so that's something that, that excites you just
- 1:51:14Speaker 1: to see people see it. Yeah.
- 1:51:17Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so excited. I'm so, cause most people have
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: no idea what it is and the ones that are
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: going to watch it. And they're just there. I feel
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: like their minds are just gonna be so fucking alone.
- 1:51:26Speaker 1: The fact you told me everybody's on their own individual
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: platform and how many platforms were there?
- 1:51:30Speaker 2: A thousand towers. Yeah. That's crazy, bro. Yeah. I had
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: to build a thousand of those. And then a thousand, uh, Well,
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: we need a 3000, uh, hydraulic presses or whatever they're
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: called to open them and, uh, 3000 hydraulics. And it's
- 1:51:44Speaker 2: like to build those and then a thousand foam pits
- 1:51:47Speaker 2: and a thousand crash pads. And then we had to
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: rig up a thousand lightings and a thousand GoPros and
- 1:51:51Speaker 2: then to build all that. And then the screens on
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: the side. And I mean, even just $ 5 million of
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: real money, having that there and all that stuff, and
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: then building the sets it's, and that's just one of
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: the 10 episodes, you know what I mean? So we
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: had to do that 10 times. Built a fucking city.
- 1:52:05Speaker 2: Name one show who has just gone, okay, this field,
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: build enough housing for 500 people, build a sports facility,
- 1:52:11Speaker 2: build two massive five-story towers, build a helipad, build this,
- 1:52:15Speaker 2: build that, build that, and make it look good in
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: a wall.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Closest thing I can think is that Angola Prison Rodeo.
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: Have you ever heard of that? It's down in... No.
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: Outside of Baton Rouge.
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: I mean, it's not like what you're talking about, but
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: it's like they put on a pretty good event once
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: a year down there, and the prisoners do the rodeo.
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: Wait, what?
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: Yeah. The Angola Prison Rodeo.
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: Angola Prison Rodeo.
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: Pretty awesome if you're into that kind of stuff. But yeah,
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: you would definitely be able to do this way better.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: But just letting you know, there's a little bit of
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: competition out there. Wait, so those are prisoners? Yep, they
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: put them all in this circle, right? And if you
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: leave the circle, they send the bulls through. And if
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: you leave the circle, you lose, right? And what do
- 1:52:54Speaker 1: the prisoners get out of it? I think they get
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: time with a basketball or something. I don't know what
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: the prize is. I'll have to look and see.
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: What the prizes are.
- 1:53:01Speaker 3: This is crazy.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: What? What?
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: And this is he really wants that prize right.
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: But yeah just to let you know so there is
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: a little competition out there um have you ever said
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: the last question i have for you give me is
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: you ever seen that show hands on a hard body
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: you ever see that.
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: Movie no wow hands on a hard body.
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: There was a car somebody somebody went to a mall
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: oh that one uh the documentary yeah i.
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: Haven't seen it but i've heard of the the last
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: take handoff car keeps it type yeah Yeah, okay, I've
- 1:53:33Speaker 2: seen a clip of that on TikTok.
- 1:53:34Speaker 1: And they all have their hand on a hard body.
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: The original one is great. Oh, there's a musical now?
- 1:53:38Speaker 2: That's hilarious. Yeah. And the guy's like, nothing getting me
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: to take my hand off, but here it goes. We
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: did last take hand off Lamborghini keeps it. You did? Yeah.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: With 50 people.
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: Well, this is how somebody trumped. Somebody walked up and
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: was like, hey, you want this chocolate bar? And I
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: got like, I would love it.
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: And he took it with both hands. Damn. Who takes
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: a chocolate bar off somebody with both hands? And he
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: made a mistake. And he lost.
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: So we did one, too, where we took a million
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: dollars in cash, had people put their hands on it.
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: And I think one of the four people, I don't remember.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: Because after like 18 hours, you start to forget. You're
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: not 100% focused. I think he just reached to grab something.
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: And then was like, oh, shit. And lost a million dollars.
- 1:54:18Speaker 1: They say that the world will be changed by individuals
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: and humans. And sometimes you start to think that that's
- 1:54:22Speaker 1: not going to happen, you know, that people are going
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: to expect a government to do it. But then I
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: think you meet somebody like you and you're like, wow,
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: anything is maybe possible, man. I think that's kind of
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: like a feeling that I really got spending time with
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: you today, man. Yeah, thanks for sharing your new show
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: with me. And is it tough for you to like–
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: so if you spend so much time working and would
- 1:54:40Speaker 1: it like– is relationship something that's hard for you to navigate?
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: I know you said you have a relationship. Is that
- 1:54:46Speaker 1: a tough thing for you to drop in and also
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: be like a regular person? Because I'll notice– I'll invite
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: a girl over and then I'll sit there and do work.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, that's– relationships just even outside of dating have
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: always been a problem for me because like I– I
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: think this might've been a traumatic experience. Cause I still
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: picture it to this day and I occasionally have dreams
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: of it. But I remember when I was like 15
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: or 16, like I've, cause I'm so obsessed with YouTube.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: I remember like at lunch one time, like one person
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: literally just looked me dead in the eyes and said,
- 1:55:17Speaker 2: do you know how to talk about anything besides fucking YouTube?
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: And I, that like, and I was like, Whoa. And
- 1:55:24Speaker 2: I like, and then I was like, okay, I'm going
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: to not talk about YouTube. And then, so I just
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: didn't talk like, and like at one point someone, I
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: unironically asked me if I was mute, like, cause I
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: was just like in my head, I was like, well,
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: people think I talk about YouTube too much. I don't
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: know anything else besides YouTube. And so I just didn't
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: know what to do. And it was like very like
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: traumatic for me because I was so fucking obsessed with
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: it growing up. And the problem is though, right. And
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: back then I thought, okay, I'm a freak of nature.
- 1:55:51Speaker 2: I'm the problem. And I tried to, I tried to
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: watch South park and I think it's a good show,
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: but I just didn't find it interesting. And, um, and my, like,
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: opportunity cost brain back then was like, no, I need
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: to be working. This is blah, blah, blah. And so
- 1:56:03Speaker 2: I just never related to anyone. I thought it was
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: because I'm a freak and it's all me, me, me.
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: But then I, as I, when I was like 18
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: or 19, I got a little smarter. I realized, no,
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: it's just in my school, there just weren't people who
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: are interested in the same things as me. And so
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: I was like, that's, but it is what it is.
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: I don't need to change who I am. I just
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: need to change the people I'm around. And that was
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: like a big turning point for me. Um, and so, uh, no,
- 1:56:24Speaker 2: I don't struggle with the relationships. I, well, I mean,
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: if you just put me in a room with, um,
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: someone who doesn't, isn't trying to achieve anything or doesn't
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: want to do anything extraordinary and just wants to play
- 1:56:34Speaker 2: video games and blah, blah, blah. Like, yeah, I mean,
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: I wouldn't relate to him. I'd be a struggle. Um,
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: but you put me in a room with someone who
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: is building a business, um, and trying to do something cool. Like,
- 1:56:44Speaker 2: I mean, we could probably talk for 10 hours straight.
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: You know what I mean? So it's just all who
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: you're around. It's just, those people are pretty rare and you,
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: you don't stumble into them. You have to be very
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: diligent to like have those kinds of people in your life. Um,
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: so yeah, that, that just putting myself around the right
- 1:56:58Speaker 2: kind of people has helped like crazy. And my, my
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: current girlfriend, she's amazing. And she understands that like, you know,
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: growing the channel and making great content. And right now
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: with festivals, because we're trying to build an ethical supply chain.
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: So I'm doing this on fucking steroid hard mode and
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: all these other things I'm trying to do. It's like,
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: it's not easy. And like, you know, she, gets it,
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Like there are just some
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: days where I won't be able to come home. There
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: are just some days where, you know, I'm going to
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: film for 16 hours and I'm going to, I will
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: come home and I don't even know if my eyes
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: will be open. Like I'm going to come home and
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: just pass out because it was so intense. And, um,
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: so it's great. Like, and we, we communicate really well
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: and that kind of stuff. And I'm very happy. Um, but. yeah,
- 1:57:35Speaker 2: I guess that's kind of the gist.
- 1:57:36Speaker 1: Like, did you have to say like, will you, can
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: I subscribe to your heart or something like that?
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: Like, no, I, um, it's actually nice though, because one
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: thing I've found is, um, because we're not robots, you
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: do have to take time off, even though I hate
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: that you, you can't work all the time. And so
- 1:57:51Speaker 2: I found that in the past, I would just like,
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: if I went eight days, like really hard or nine days,
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: like sometimes I could get it to 10 or 12
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: in a row. I would just like, wake up and
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: just be like shit and crash. And I need to like,
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: watch an anime or something to like decompress and blah, blah,
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: But I found like, if I consistently spend time with
- 1:58:08Speaker 2: my girlfriend, I don't like boil up to this point
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: where I'm so stressed and I need to crash. I'm
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: losing my mind at borderline. I'm going to have a
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: mental breakdown. You know what I mean?
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: Yeah. Kind of navigate it a little bit.
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: Yeah. It's like, you know, because then I get these,
- 1:58:19Speaker 2: it's like decompression shots when I hang out with her,
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: like more consistently, because it's like, you know, when you
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: just go home alone to an empty bed, it's like,
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: what do you do? But I just sit there and
- 1:58:27Speaker 2: think about work. But if you have this beautiful woman,
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: you're like, Oh, this is cool. Let's talk about things.
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: And it's like, helps you like take your mind off work.
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: So I've noticed that's been a good, uh, benefit is like,
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: I don't, I just don't have like borderline mental breakdowns
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: as often. Yeah.
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Connections. I know you got to connect with people
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: to get, put you in a little bit better, better place. Yeah.
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: Yeah. It's important.
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: Um, uh, Jimmy, thanks so much, man. Thanks for spending time, dude.
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: I'm definitely a fan. I, you know, yeah, I'd love
- 1:58:55Speaker 1: to chat again sometime about business or something. And, you know,
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: it's funny, you meet people, sometimes you think they're, they're
- 1:58:59Speaker 1: heroes or they're great. And sometimes once you learn about them,
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: it's kind of like, whatever, you know, they were, they
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: were better to see from afar.
- 1:59:06Speaker 2: I'm sorry that I was better from afar to let
- 1:59:08Speaker 2: you down. Maybe next time.
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: I was going to say, that's not the case, man.
- 1:59:13Speaker 2: I'm excited.
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm excited for everybody to see beast games.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: Are you ever doing a show in North Carolina?
- 1:59:18Speaker 1: If they're children or adults? Yeah, man, we'll come over
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: there for sure.
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: I'll invite you. Yeah, if you do a show in
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: North Carolina, we'll be there. I'll invite you to one.
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: Thanks so much for all the content and entertainment. I'm
- 1:59:26Speaker 1: excited to see what you do in the future, man.
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: I think you inspire a lot of people.
- 1:59:29Speaker 2: Stop being so nice. I hate getting compliments. No, but
- 1:59:31Speaker 2: I think it's just like anything is possible. I agree.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: I hate fucking getting them. That's why I'm giving them
- 1:59:34Speaker 2: to you. I'm going to start complimenting you. This podcast
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: was amazing. You had great questions. It was very free-flowing.
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: I thought, you know, sometimes you just go on a
- 1:59:41Speaker 2: podcast and it's an absolute shit show, but this one wasn't.
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: And I think you're very exceptional at what you do. Hey,
- 1:59:46Speaker 2: watch your mouth. Your vernacular is very good. I just
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: really loved your shoes and how you did things. And
- 1:59:52Speaker 2: I thought your squad was pretty good. They're very welcoming.
- 1:59:54Speaker 2: You made sure I had two cans of Celsius. That
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: was awesome. And just all around a good environment and everything. Thanks, man.
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: Well, we'll see about that.
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: See, am I the only one to close it on this?
- 2:00:09Speaker 2: Am I the only one that feels uncomfortable when people
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: talk about you like that?
- 2:00:12Speaker 1: Oh, I can't see. It makes me really uncomfortable. I, I,
- 2:00:15Speaker 1: I can't wait for them to get done saying something nice.
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: And I've had to train myself to just sit there
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: and take it because I used to always change the
- 2:00:22Speaker 2: subject and it would make it even more uncomfortable and
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: kind of awkward. So now I've just like practiced like,
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: doing this but because before i noticed my default would
- 2:00:32Speaker 2: always just be to these people start complimenting and i
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: just change the subject yeah.
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: Instantly yeah me too i'll be like oh that's sweet
- 2:00:38Speaker 1: of you to say we should go outdoors that's what
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: i'll say yeah or i'd.
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: Be like yeah interesting anyways so what yeah.
- 2:00:43Speaker 1: Oh it's very sweet of you i was wondering the
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: other day if the jets will win anything this year
- 2:00:47Speaker 1: and people were like what are we even you know
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: but yeah it's gotten yeah sometimes you navigate it a
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: little bit better as time goes on you know is.
- 2:00:53Speaker 2: This brand also paying nope i just like their water
- 2:00:56Speaker 2: wait so celsius had to pay these guys got it
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: for free.
- 2:00:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but we'd like to get a water.
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: My goal one day is to make a water. Let's
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: see if that makes it in.
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: This is my goal to make a water, right? I
- 2:01:07Speaker 1: want to have a half, like a... wellness facility for
- 2:01:10Speaker 1: people recovering from addiction.
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: Right. Okay.
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: And it's on a, on land that has an aquifer
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: so they can access water. And the people that are
- 2:01:17Speaker 1: getting well are, are helping to create like a, so.
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: They, they, you employ the people with addiction. So you
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: get them out. Yeah. Yep.
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: And then the water gets sold and the money goes
- 2:01:25Speaker 1: to the facility. Yeah. So it's like, cause so many
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: people have been ruined by addiction that our government supported, right.
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: Or didn't really combat like an opioid epidemic. So I'm like, well,
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: how do you beat them? And you get something to
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: everybody needs that's clean for people, which is water. And
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: then every time they buy it, they're helping somebody get clean,
- 2:01:43Speaker 1: you know?
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: Or what if you give them drugs and they go
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: sell drugs and then they just put their addiction to
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: good use? Oh, that's what you're talking about? Yeah.
- 2:01:54Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 2:01:54Speaker 2: I feel like that'd do better. Because they probably know
- 2:01:57Speaker 2: the drug landscape and other addicts really well. Oh, that's
- 2:02:00Speaker 2: a good point. You're kind of putting them in a
- 2:02:01Speaker 2: whole new territory. Yeah, exactly. I feel like just lean
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: into what they're good at. They're a drug addict. Just
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: let them sell drugs.
- 2:02:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: You know what? We'll try both. We'll try both, you know? Okay.
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: And we'll get some... All right, he's been trying to
- 2:02:12Speaker 2: end this for like five minutes. All right, bye.
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 2:02:15Speaker 3: Now I'm just floating on the breeze And I feel
- 2:02:18Speaker 3: I'm falling like these leaves I must be cornerstone Oh,
- 2:02:26Speaker 3: but when I reach that ground I'll share this peace
- 2:02:30Speaker 3: of mind I found I can feel it in my
- 2:02:33Speaker 3: bones Thank you.
