- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her Radio. It's another episode of the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 1: It's a special episode today. We have some incredible headlines
- 0:11Speaker 1: to break down and Ashley and I are together for
- 0:15Speaker 1: this podcast. Ashley, what's up? Hey, Ben? I walked in
- 0:19Speaker 1: on a conversation, you know, walked in via zoom on
- 0:23Speaker 1: you having a conversation about you now being the creepy guy.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Can you elaborate? Yeah, that's a good that's a good segue,
- 0:32Speaker 1: um the creepy guy. Yeah. So I was just telling
- 0:37Speaker 1: our producers we're talking about workout classes. We're going through
- 0:40Speaker 1: their everyday schedule. They grind, by the way, Like our
- 0:43Speaker 1: producers work really hard. This isn't the only podcast they do.
- 0:47Speaker 1: They do many um podcasts and we're just one of those.
- 0:51Speaker 1: So I was kind of talking to about like what
- 0:52Speaker 1: it's like to work from home, and one of our
- 0:55Speaker 1: producers saying like that she gets to go to workout
- 0:58Speaker 1: classes in the evenings. I go every morning, she goes
- 1:01Speaker 1: in the evening. Everybody has a schedule, everybody has a rhythm. Uh.
- 1:05Speaker 1: And I go to this class with my knee. I
- 1:07Speaker 1: really love it. So I do two different workout gyms.
- 1:10Speaker 1: One is F forty five I do on Thursdays because
- 1:12Speaker 1: that's their arm day. You know, that's partially owned by
- 1:15Speaker 1: Mark Walberg. Well that's why I look just like him
- 1:19Speaker 1: and um. And then the other one is called Duality,
- 1:24Speaker 1: which I do probably three to four times during the week.
- 1:29Speaker 1: And what I like about Duality is they have a
- 1:30Speaker 1: heated room. It's similar to Core Power, So it's a
- 1:33Speaker 1: heated room that gets up really hot. I don't know
- 1:35Speaker 1: how hot, but it's hot enough that you're gonna sweat
- 1:36Speaker 1: if you just stand in there. And then you take
- 1:38Speaker 1: like medium sized weights and bands and it's like fifteen
- 1:42Speaker 1: minute cardio, fifteen minute strength, fifteen minute ab, fifteen minute booty.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And I love it, like, I absolutely love it. It
- 1:50Speaker 1: feels so good on my body. Every time I walk
- 1:53Speaker 1: out of there, no matter how early it is and
- 1:54Speaker 1: how tired I'm walking in, I always feel like rejuvenated.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And then I take a cold shower when I get
- 1:59Speaker 1: home home to wake myself like way up, and I'm
- 2:02Speaker 1: already go for the day. Um. I really love it. Okay,
- 2:05Speaker 1: So here's what's happening in my life. And I could
- 2:08Speaker 1: the listeners. I would love to hear from them on this.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I'm I'm laying in bed about a week ago, and
- 2:15Speaker 1: I'm thinking about how excited i am for this workout,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and then I'm thinking about some of the really nice
- 2:21Speaker 1: you like lay in bed the night before, thinking about you.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You're excited about the next days of workout. Oh yeah,
- 2:27Speaker 1: oh yeah, look up? First, what are you? I'm really crazy,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm psycho. Um. But and I'm also married to somebody
- 2:36Speaker 1: does the same thing. So we just kind of laying
- 2:38Speaker 1: bed like, are you excited for the morning? Heck, yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'm excited for the morning. Uh. And so I am
- 2:44Speaker 1: laying in bed with my beautiful wife and I'm thinking
- 2:47Speaker 1: about this work and I'm like, I'm so excited to
- 2:49Speaker 1: see some of the people that are part of this
- 2:51Speaker 1: workout with me every morning. Then I started thinking about
- 2:54Speaker 1: it it's all women. See, that's fine, it's fine. It's
- 2:58Speaker 1: all women. It's all it's all women in there. And
- 3:00Speaker 1: now I started thinking about the fact that I might
- 3:01Speaker 1: be the only guy most mornings in this class, and
- 3:04Speaker 1: I'm the guy that goes in the corner because I'm
- 3:07Speaker 1: not as good at the class as a lot of
- 3:09Speaker 1: the women in the class. And I don't want to
- 3:10Speaker 1: embarrass myself by standing up front, so I kind of
- 3:12Speaker 1: hide back in the corner and the darkest place in
- 3:15Speaker 1: the room because the lights are off, and I end
- 3:19Speaker 1: up thinking I think I'm that creepy guy, Like I
- 3:23Speaker 1: think I'm the dude who's the only guy in the
- 3:26Speaker 1: workout class with a bunch of women, and I'm in
- 3:30Speaker 1: the dark corner and everybody at this point has been
- 3:33Speaker 1: talking amongst themselves. I have this theory made up my
- 3:36Speaker 1: mind that Ben is the weirdo that comes to the
- 3:39Speaker 1: women's workout class and stands in the corner, So I
- 3:43Speaker 1: have to be the guy. There's something there's getting to
- 3:46Speaker 1: become more. When I first started, I was the only
- 3:48Speaker 1: guy for months. Now sometimes there's another, sometimes there's two others,
- 3:52Speaker 1: but a lot of times I'm the only dude. And
- 3:54Speaker 1: Jess doesn't go to this class with you know, because
- 3:57Speaker 1: of her malasma, she can't get in the heat. I
- 3:59Speaker 1: under dann. Yeah, so she's I've asked her. So I
- 4:04Speaker 1: lay in bed and finally like I'm just gonna ask
- 4:06Speaker 1: my wife. I said, Honey, am I a creepy dude?
- 4:11Speaker 1: And she's like, what do you mean? And I said
- 4:15Speaker 1: here's my scenaria. I tell her the whole thing I
- 4:16Speaker 1: just said, and she convinces me that I'm not. And
- 4:19Speaker 1: so this morning in my workout class, I finally had
- 4:21Speaker 1: to bring it up to them, some of the women
- 4:23Speaker 1: the classes that were in there with me. I said, Hey,
- 4:25Speaker 1: I just want to ask you, like, I'm cool not
- 4:28Speaker 1: coming to this anymore if this is how you feel.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But am I like the weirdo in the class? Like
- 4:34Speaker 1: am I the guy that you all are like not
- 4:38Speaker 1: wanting to be here? And they told me I'm not.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I don't know if they okay. I just want to
- 4:43Speaker 1: make sure because I started thinking about it, you know
- 4:46Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Like there's always like you know, the
- 4:50Speaker 1: workout classes are very like vulnerable, intimate like everybody, especially
- 4:54Speaker 1: when it's heated, like everybody's stripping down a nuhing. Yeah, no,
- 4:57Speaker 1: I get it. There could be creepy guys there, but
- 5:01Speaker 1: you're not going to be one of them. I have
- 5:03Speaker 1: to be like, I'm going to be super vain and
- 5:06Speaker 1: like totally honest. The guy, that creepy guy is probably
- 5:10Speaker 1: not that hot. He might be, but he's definitely breathing
- 5:14Speaker 1: heavily in like a gross way and I'm breathing heavily.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'm definitely breathing. Are you doing like yoga brass where
- 5:20Speaker 1: you go and not on purpose? Yes, I'm like and
- 5:26Speaker 1: like and then doing that that gross yoga brother. Oh yeah, no,
- 5:32Speaker 1: that's not me. If anything, I'm trying to hide. I'm
- 5:35Speaker 1: trying to I'm trying to just not be seen because
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm embarrassing. I can't do a lot of this stuff
- 5:42Speaker 1: for my knee or just because I'm not as athletic. Um.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But that's that's my story. That's and so I'm convinced
- 5:49Speaker 1: at this point I'm gonna keep going. I'm now encouraged
- 5:52Speaker 1: by the women in my life, including you, actually that
- 5:53Speaker 1: I'm I can keep going to this thing and I
- 5:55Speaker 1: can keep being confident that I can keep going. Um,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but they crossed my mind. It's been on my mind.
- 6:02Speaker 1: There's other things on my mind. Actually, can I do?
- 6:04Speaker 1: I want to bring up later in the podcast during
- 6:06Speaker 1: Bachelor Headlines, But before we do, let's catch up with you. Um.
- 6:10Speaker 1: We weren't together last week. Um, you had some stuff
- 6:12Speaker 1: going on. And so I end up doing a min's
- 6:14Speaker 1: panel with Bob Guinea uh and um Jason Mesnick, which
- 6:18Speaker 1: was awesome, really fun to do with him. They were
- 6:21Speaker 1: really great hosts. They have no clue what's going on
- 6:23Speaker 1: in the pop culture world at all. They have no
- 6:26Speaker 1: clue who any of these people are. It was great.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I'm getting there though. Okay, so when I watch the oscars,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I pretty much know what's going on movies more informed
- 6:35Speaker 1: in But when it comes to music, Ben, you and
- 6:38Speaker 1: I both are really bad. Like we know country artists probably,
- 6:42Speaker 1: and I feel like the top tier pop artists, you know,
- 6:46Speaker 1: we're talking not even like a Billie Eilish and Harry
- 6:49Speaker 1: Styles and stuff like that, but like when we go
- 6:52Speaker 1: to festival, like we're the worst. I don't know half
- 6:55Speaker 1: the people on that rundown. No nobody in act. When
- 7:00Speaker 1: we watched Jess and I watched uh the Music Awards
- 7:03Speaker 1: this year, and I said, and I think we've watched
- 7:07Speaker 1: this for forty five minutes. I don't think I've seen
- 7:08Speaker 1: one artist I know. And the fact that you say, honey,
- 7:11Speaker 1: you know that, like also that makes you feel like
- 7:14Speaker 1: a married man. Yeah, it's weird. I don't know, is
- 7:17Speaker 1: it is it just is that just us getting older?
- 7:21Speaker 1: That's us getting older for sure. So you think the
- 7:23Speaker 1: teenagers know who's up there? M hm, oh yeah. I
- 7:28Speaker 1: remember judging people of my age when they didn't know
- 7:31Speaker 1: all of the InSync members names when I was a tween,
- 7:36Speaker 1: just like, oh my god, this how do they not know? Like?
- 7:39Speaker 1: How is this not part of their daily lives to
- 7:41Speaker 1: know Justin Joey, j C. Lance and Justin Right and
- 7:44Speaker 1: Chris and it's just not part of It's just not
- 7:47Speaker 1: part of their lives. And now I am that person.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Except if there was a boy band that was really relevant,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I wouldn't know all their names. However, I don't know
- 7:55Speaker 1: all the names of the BTS guys. So maybe I'm like,
- 7:59Speaker 1: they're the biggest thing out there right now, aren't they
- 8:01Speaker 1: They're the biggest like band, I'd say, yeah, I thought so,
- 8:06Speaker 1: that's what I figured. After watching the Awards shows, I
- 8:08Speaker 1: was like, no, these guys are legit um all right, Ashley.
- 8:12Speaker 1: We have a lot of headlines to run through, some
- 8:14Speaker 1: of which we're very excited to talk about. I have one.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I don't even think it's on here, but I got
- 8:19Speaker 1: it's on my mind today and I gotta talk it
- 8:21Speaker 1: through with a friend. So I'm gonna talking through with
- 8:23Speaker 1: you if that's okay. Uh, is that fine? Yeah, sure,
- 8:28Speaker 1: of course, I'm gonna assume I know which one you're
- 8:30Speaker 1: talking about, but I'll find out soon. Let's move into
- 8:33Speaker 1: bachelor headlines. Before we get in the bachelorlines, actually I
- 8:46Speaker 1: have I do have a couple of things in my
- 8:47Speaker 1: heart that I got to talk to you about. But
- 8:48Speaker 1: the first is this funny story. I uh, my puppy
- 8:51Speaker 1: gets really mad when I leave and I packed this morning.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I was just folding clothes and he like pouded the
- 8:58Speaker 1: rest of the day. He's been a maniac, like I
- 9:02Speaker 1: just cannot settle down, jumps all over me. I'm not
- 9:06Speaker 1: going to be surprised if he comes in here barking,
- 9:08Speaker 1: inviting my feet. So we have to might have to
- 9:10Speaker 1: take a break. But the poor guy, I'm not leaving,
- 9:12Speaker 1: just like folding my laundry. Long. See, aren't they so smart?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Very smart? Like they know they see that suitcase and
- 9:20Speaker 1: it's bad news. Yeah, they're so smart, So it's so
- 9:24Speaker 1: it's cool. It's cool that they kind of get bummed
- 9:27Speaker 1: out when they see the suitcase because they know that
- 9:29Speaker 1: you're leaving, and like they can put all that together
- 9:32Speaker 1: and they're like, I'm gonna miss you. This isn't fair.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Now I have to do that with two things. Just
- 9:36Speaker 1: get in my puppy. I gotta like souls, so sad. Okay, Hey,
- 9:41Speaker 1: my first headline is this. It just popped up today.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I got a Google alert for it. Um. Reddit Ashley
- 9:51Speaker 1: is going bonkers right now and I'm involved, and I
- 9:55Speaker 1: gotta talk to you about it because it kind of
- 9:56Speaker 1: like really yeah, kind of like uh, it kind of
- 10:00Speaker 1: like on oddly uh like hurt me and then but
- 10:05Speaker 1: like for weird reasons, let me explain the situation. Okay. Um.
- 10:08Speaker 1: A few weeks ago, Katie Thurston and I were kind
- 10:11Speaker 1: of joking, definitely joking, like we texted with each other afterwards,
- 10:15Speaker 1: uh during uh Clayton's last episode or last few episodes,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and I just kind of tweeted back to her. She
- 10:22Speaker 1: was kind of joking about my season finale and kind
- 10:25Speaker 1: of me saying I love you to two people, and
- 10:26Speaker 1: I joked back. I was like, yeah, but that's in
- 10:28Speaker 1: the past more or less. On a tweet, I said,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm not happily married to my wife and I capitalized
- 10:34Speaker 1: my wife. I didn't realize me capitalizing my wife was
- 10:38Speaker 1: like such a thing, like I I didn't realize that today.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I didn't know people were making like gifts out of
- 10:44Speaker 1: it and stuff. Um, I don't know that was weird.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Is that weird to do capitalized all the letters and wife? Yeah, well,
- 10:55Speaker 1: why did you choose to do that or did it
- 10:57Speaker 1: just auto correct that way? Because in my own Jared
- 11:01Speaker 1: for some reason comes up in all caps and it's
- 11:04Speaker 1: really annoying. It's now in the just like in the
- 11:07Speaker 1: rhythm of sending the word Jared and all caps and
- 11:10Speaker 1: it's so it's so annoying. Sometimes I'll just send it
- 11:15Speaker 1: like that, but often I'll delete it and come back
- 11:17Speaker 1: and do it properly, just that people don't think I'm
- 11:19Speaker 1: like Jarrett. No. I think I did it to add
- 11:22Speaker 1: emphasis that I was married, like kind of like the hey,
- 11:25Speaker 1: this is funny in the past, but now I'm married
- 11:28Speaker 1: to my wife, like add emphasis to wife. But I
- 11:32Speaker 1: guess people have like I'm sure people listening are like, oh, yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 1: we've heard all about this. This is funny. I didn't
- 11:38Speaker 1: know until today. Okay, So anyways, Uh, Jordan Rodgers and
- 11:43Speaker 1: Joe Joe get married this last weekend. He has a
- 11:46Speaker 1: caption that also capitalizes my wife, and I think he
- 11:52Speaker 1: was saying it in this sense of how crazy is it,
- 11:56Speaker 1: adding emphasis like it is my wife. Well, Reddit picks
- 12:00Speaker 1: up and they start a thread thinking that he was
- 12:02Speaker 1: like jabbing at me. And I'm like, well, one, I
- 12:06Speaker 1: don't think Jordan would ever do that, uh to it's
- 12:09Speaker 1: his wedding day. I don't think I'm the I think
- 12:11Speaker 1: I'm the farthest thing from his mind. I at least
- 12:14Speaker 1: I would hope. So I hope he's not thinking about
- 12:16Speaker 1: me on his wedding day. Um. But then people started
- 12:20Speaker 1: responding with I hope this is a job towards Ben. Wait, okay,
- 12:24Speaker 1: this is bizarre. People have to be no way becauld
- 12:29Speaker 1: they think that that Jordan's on his wedding post one
- 12:33Speaker 1: of the first posts about his wedding, He's going to
- 12:37Speaker 1: He's going to at you in some way, Like I'm
- 12:41Speaker 1: I mean, I'm cool with Jordan. I don't know Jordan. Well,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I've only been around him a few times in my life,
- 12:45Speaker 1: but like you know, we have mutual friends. I like him.
- 12:49Speaker 1: I'm very happy for him and Joe. Joe, like this
- 12:51Speaker 1: is a great thing. They seem very good together. So like,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I don't know why he would be doing this, um,
- 12:58Speaker 1: And so I'm gonna assume someone I know about his character,
- 13:01Speaker 1: He's not the thing. The thing that got me was
- 13:06Speaker 1: that people wanted it to be a job. They were
- 13:08Speaker 1: like even saying, hey, I know this probably isn't, but
- 13:10Speaker 1: I wish it was, Like why would people care? Or
- 13:14Speaker 1: why do people want to see me hurt? That's what
- 13:18Speaker 1: I mean. Why would anybody want to see him not
- 13:22Speaker 1: like you? I don't know after so many years of
- 13:27Speaker 1: Jojo having lasts, you've been on a date with you.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I don't know. So I was asking you ash like again,
- 13:35Speaker 1: it kind of hits my like sensitive spot, it hits
- 13:37Speaker 1: my insecurities. Well, then you know that people just love drama.
- 13:44Speaker 1: That's why people just love drama, I guess, and they
- 13:47Speaker 1: love love when I'm the base of drama. There's some
- 13:52Speaker 1: people in the Bachelor franchise that are totally untouchable. And
- 13:56Speaker 1: then there are some people for reasons I don't know, okay,
- 14:00Speaker 1: like they just never get made fun of. They never
- 14:03Speaker 1: get called out for anything, even like in the case
- 14:06Speaker 1: like this, or it's just like a joke and it's
- 14:07Speaker 1: funny and nothing should ever come from you capitalizing wife, right,
- 14:12Speaker 1: And then most of us there's something that that the
- 14:16Speaker 1: people who are hardcore do like making fun of and
- 14:19Speaker 1: I think we just have to accept that. But I
- 14:24Speaker 1: feel bad that I hit your heart, you know, I
- 14:25Speaker 1: always feel bad when like criticism and making fun hits
- 14:28Speaker 1: your heart. Who do you think let's give him something
- 14:33Speaker 1: talking about? Who do you think are one of those
- 14:36Speaker 1: untouchable people that like nobody ever complains or makes fun of?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Well I definitely put Jojo up there. I mean, I
- 14:42Speaker 1: don't say so. The two people that came to my mind,
- 14:45Speaker 1: Jojo and Wells, never made fun of. Yeah, yeah, that's
- 14:49Speaker 1: a good point. Yeah, why I have a feeling Wells
- 14:51Speaker 1: doesn't receive like an enormous amount of criticism or heat. Yeah,
- 14:56Speaker 1: and like many of those people deserve No, nobody deserves it.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Like I like both those people, and I think they're
- 15:01Speaker 1: both cool. Like it makes sense to me why people
- 15:03Speaker 1: wouldn't be mean to him. But it does feel like
- 15:05Speaker 1: even some of the most likable people that I've met
- 15:08Speaker 1: from the show deserve get a lot of criticism undeserving ly. Uh,
- 15:15Speaker 1: and while some people who are very similar to them
- 15:19Speaker 1: get none for whatever reason. I don't know why. Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 1: who do you think it's an amount of hate? That
- 15:27Speaker 1: you that really isn't deserving like you. Definitely of course now,
- 15:33Speaker 1: but there's I guess there's some people that are just
- 15:35Speaker 1: I don't know how to say. Do you feel like
- 15:37Speaker 1: I get more criticism than most um as far as
- 15:41Speaker 1: like Bachelor of Leads go, Probably not? And if anything,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I would like to be grateful that they're still talking
- 15:47Speaker 1: about you. Look at look out how many years it's been.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Look at the bachelors in between you. There's definitely some
- 15:55Speaker 1: that has not been as talked about. And if you
- 15:57Speaker 1: weren't being talked about, then well you may not have
- 15:59Speaker 1: this podcast. I don't know. If anything, i'd actually especially
- 16:04Speaker 1: at this point seven years removed, I would be um
- 16:09Speaker 1: would be more grateful that I'm being talked about it
- 16:11Speaker 1: at all. Yeah, it can. I be the life cycle
- 16:14Speaker 1: a little bit where like you get off and everybody's
- 16:16Speaker 1: like oh raw raw shish kenba, like celebrating around you,
- 16:20Speaker 1: and then over time like the only thing people have
- 16:23Speaker 1: to say is like criticism because you've said said something
- 16:29Speaker 1: stupid or done something stupid. Exactly just nailed it. Make
- 16:35Speaker 1: sense because now there you're not going to be brought
- 16:37Speaker 1: up unless there's something topical. Who gets the most undeserved criticism.
- 16:46Speaker 1: That's a good question. I mean, my mind goes right
- 16:48Speaker 1: to Olivia Creedy back in the day. You know. I
- 16:52Speaker 1: think some of the villains that have came from the
- 16:56Speaker 1: show oftentimes are just like undeserving amount of criticism, which
- 17:02Speaker 1: is which is tough. Um. I mean I would I
- 17:06Speaker 1: would have to probably throw Nick into that category, like
- 17:10Speaker 1: for a while. Um, you know, I don't know nowadays
- 17:14Speaker 1: I don't pay attention, but I think for a while,
- 17:16Speaker 1: Nick could do nothing right in the public's eyes, uh,
- 17:19Speaker 1: no matter how hard he was trying. And you know
- 17:22Speaker 1: he was working on himself at that time too. I
- 17:25Speaker 1: think I think it's probably like the where I would
- 17:30Speaker 1: I don't know many people that just get I think
- 17:32Speaker 1: Caitlin Bristow gets a lot um. She talks about it
- 17:36Speaker 1: with both Nick and her. It's almost like they're talked
- 17:39Speaker 1: about so often that there's bound to be the haters
- 17:44Speaker 1: out there. And I'm sure when it comes to the
- 17:48Speaker 1: general population, more love than hey, and I would think
- 17:51Speaker 1: so than hate. I would, I would have to think. So.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I just think like those are those are two people
- 17:57Speaker 1: that come to mind, just because Caitlin talks about it
- 17:59Speaker 1: a lot. On her Instagram, like she you know, will
- 18:02Speaker 1: be like I can't take this anymore and she has
- 18:04Speaker 1: to take a break like that. That's common for her
- 18:06Speaker 1: to express this, and so I'm like, she's getting a
- 18:09Speaker 1: lot more criticism than I think, definitely more criticism than
- 18:14Speaker 1: what's deserved. But it feels like oftentimes a lot I
- 18:17Speaker 1: just I just don't read a lot. So I don't
- 18:19Speaker 1: really know anymore, but I go through my phases. Sometimes
- 18:24Speaker 1: I read like all of it, and then sometimes I'll
- 18:27Speaker 1: go months reading none of it. Like I just went
- 18:30Speaker 1: like a whole year without reading any of it, And
- 18:32Speaker 1: now I'm like, that's interesting. As long as it's not
- 18:35Speaker 1: life altering and character changing, then I guess my response
- 18:40Speaker 1: would be, uh, keep talking because it keeps me on
- 18:44Speaker 1: the podcast, and I think you flip the narrative of
- 18:49Speaker 1: yourself there a little bit. And if anything, they're talking
- 18:52Speaker 1: about how much like you love having a wife. Yeah,
- 18:58Speaker 1: there we go, and hey, I can take that, okay, Hey,
- 19:01Speaker 1: speaking of love Ashley Moving on, Becky Tilly confirms her
- 19:06Speaker 1: relationship with Haley after Bachelor themed music video Third Times
- 19:13Speaker 1: a Charm. This, according to US Weekly, could not be
- 19:17Speaker 1: um not just not happier. It's just like more joy
- 19:22Speaker 1: filled for for Becca and Haley, but Becca especially because
- 19:26Speaker 1: I love her, care about her deeply. She's an incredible
- 19:29Speaker 1: human to me, always has been. And uh, this has
- 19:33Speaker 1: been known for a while. I don't think it's a
- 19:34Speaker 1: secret now. Um, it's definitely not been a secret. I
- 19:38Speaker 1: feel like to their hardcore fans out there, you know,
- 19:41Speaker 1: the listeners of Scrubbing In, they've definitely been speculating about
- 19:46Speaker 1: it for a while. You know, Hayley has been on
- 19:49Speaker 1: Becca's Instagram like just featured as what one might think
- 19:53Speaker 1: is a friend for sometime. And I think like a
- 19:56Speaker 1: lot of the sleuths have put two and two together.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Becca has been really open about how that she's been
- 20:01Speaker 1: in a relationship for um four years now, but she's
- 20:05Speaker 1: never said who with um and then she always avoided
- 20:10Speaker 1: using the term she like a pro pronouns on their podcast.
- 20:14Speaker 1: And yeah, so the relationship itself hasn't really been secretive.
- 20:19Speaker 1: It's just been like who she was in a relationship with,
- 20:22Speaker 1: and you know, most of most of their friends all new,
- 20:26Speaker 1: but it just hasn't been public. And we are just
- 20:29Speaker 1: like so happy that she can show off her relationship
- 20:32Speaker 1: now and how happy they've been the past four years.
- 20:35Speaker 1: When did you find out, oh a long time ago? Um, like,
- 20:41Speaker 1: did Becca tell you privately or did you find out beforehand? No,
- 20:46Speaker 1: she told me privately. I want to say. It was
- 20:49Speaker 1: almost like an I heeart fest. But then her and
- 20:52Speaker 1: Haley came to our wedding together, Um, and that was
- 20:56Speaker 1: a big deal for them. I think that was their
- 20:57Speaker 1: first time in public together. But I don't know, it's
- 21:03Speaker 1: been I mean, it's been so long Ash that I
- 21:06Speaker 1: can't I can't remember. However, I do remember being with
- 21:11Speaker 1: Jessica when we were told and so that had to be,
- 21:16Speaker 1: you know, three and a half years ago. Uh, and
- 21:19Speaker 1: it was we were new to that thing, because I
- 21:21Speaker 1: think it was on the first time that Jessica met
- 21:22Speaker 1: Becca and they became fast friends. It's uh, it's super awesome.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Now we do have our producer Easton, who also works
- 21:31Speaker 1: on the Scrubbing m podcast here with us. He's gonna
- 21:33Speaker 1: jump on and talk about what life has been like
- 21:36Speaker 1: for him in the last four years trying to keep
- 21:38Speaker 1: this thing a secret. Uh. First of all, thanks Ben,
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's great to be here on the almost famous podcast
- 21:45Speaker 1: we We We Love you on here you should just
- 21:47Speaker 1: be like a third co host sometime it's it's a joy. Um.
- 21:51Speaker 1: You know, Uh, it's weird because you know, we wanted
- 21:55Speaker 1: to maintain Becca's um privacy and something she always says
- 22:00Speaker 1: that I really like is being private and not secret.
- 22:03Speaker 1: So like, um, because I you know, I don't know
- 22:08Speaker 1: what people that are in the public. I mean, it
- 22:10Speaker 1: must be so hard when you're like in a relationship,
- 22:13Speaker 1: like how much do you share with people? That that's
- 22:15Speaker 1: something that I can't imagine what that's like. But like, um,
- 22:18Speaker 1: we did a scrubbing in Live podcast in early and
- 22:22Speaker 1: Haley was there and I'm I'm a big Haley Kyoko fan,
- 22:25Speaker 1: just of her music. Um, and I was like I
- 22:28Speaker 1: took a picture with her and I'm like, can I
- 22:29Speaker 1: post the picture? Yeah? Go for it? Yeah yeah, And like, uh,
- 22:34Speaker 1: I don't know, it was this It was cool. Um.
- 22:36Speaker 1: They were never like it was never like super secret.
- 22:39Speaker 1: It was just not out there. So like when we
- 22:42Speaker 1: would do the podcast, Specca would yeah, she'd avoid using
- 22:45Speaker 1: pronouns and like that was like when when we do
- 22:48Speaker 1: these podcasts, you know, most of the time it's just
- 22:50Speaker 1: listening for bad words, but like on that one, it
- 22:52Speaker 1: was like Okay did she did she say she were
- 22:55Speaker 1: they and we'd have to go back and like chop
- 22:57Speaker 1: it up or something. So personally and offishly, I'm just
- 23:00Speaker 1: glad I can let my guard down the one thing
- 23:04Speaker 1: to listen. But I'm just we're all so happy for her.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It's just it's so exciting and uh, seeing all of
- 23:11Speaker 1: her fans like watch this happen and then post I
- 23:16Speaker 1: felt empowered to share my relationship for the first time
- 23:19Speaker 1: because of seeing this and like that just is incredible
- 23:22Speaker 1: and I'm so proud of them and happy for them. Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 1: it's it's so it's so weird though, you know, Eastern,
- 23:30Speaker 1: I don't know if you feel this way or actually, like,
- 23:32Speaker 1: it's been so long and obviously you know it is
- 23:35Speaker 1: not our story to tell, so we can't. We can't
- 23:38Speaker 1: talk when Beckett comes on or when we talk about
- 23:40Speaker 1: beck in the headline, like we can't share about this
- 23:43Speaker 1: piece of her life. But it's been so long that
- 23:45Speaker 1: I just kind of like and since I forgot it
- 23:48Speaker 1: wasn't public, like it's like oh here, it's like of course,
- 23:52Speaker 1: like they're they've been together for so long? Do we
- 23:55Speaker 1: have any idea? And East and you don't think answer
- 23:56Speaker 1: this since you're a lot closer, but if you want
- 23:58Speaker 1: to and you feel comfortable to like why now, like
- 24:02Speaker 1: what like what happened to where four years in they said, okay,
- 24:06Speaker 1: this is this is when we want to talk about
- 24:07Speaker 1: it publicly. You know, I don't know exactly, but I
- 24:12Speaker 1: will say, um, because the the reveal, I guess you
- 24:16Speaker 1: could call it a soft reveal, was in uh what
- 24:19Speaker 1: can you call it now lunch? I feel like this
- 24:24Speaker 1: is a hard launch. So Haley Coker just put out
- 24:27Speaker 1: a song called four the Girls, which is very good
- 24:29Speaker 1: and um the music videos Bachelor theme because Haley is
- 24:32Speaker 1: a big Bachelor fan, and uh, at the end of
- 24:35Speaker 1: the video, at the very end, Becca shows up to
- 24:40Speaker 1: as a contestant to like the Bachelor house and to
- 24:44Speaker 1: say she's always great at showing up late exactly all
- 24:48Speaker 1: the Bachelor and in her life, yes, her main talent. Uh.
- 24:53Speaker 1: She she said that. You know, it was a little
- 24:55Speaker 1: nod to um, you know, crashing your season Ben and
- 24:59Speaker 1: showing up late. But if you watch that video like
- 25:02Speaker 1: I was, I was watching it going like, oh, they're
- 25:04Speaker 1: gonna they're gonna kiss or something like this is gonna
- 25:06Speaker 1: be the big reveal but she just kind of shows up.
- 25:09Speaker 1: She doesn't nothing happens after she shows her face. The
- 25:12Speaker 1: video ends, and I was like, Okay, I guess it's
- 25:14Speaker 1: not Is it confirmed yet? I don't know. And then
- 25:16Speaker 1: like the next day then Becca posted this reel of
- 25:20Speaker 1: old these really sweet moments from the last few years
- 25:23Speaker 1: of their relationship. But um, so I don't know. Like personally,
- 25:27Speaker 1: I was thinking, like, oh, are they gonna are they
- 25:30Speaker 1: using the music video as a way to like announce
- 25:33Speaker 1: the relationship. But I think it just felt like the
- 25:35Speaker 1: right time. I don't think it was there was any
- 25:37Speaker 1: particular reason why. Now it just it's like, okay, you
- 25:40Speaker 1: know it was ours, it was our secret or is
- 25:42Speaker 1: our it was just for us for such a long time.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Now we're ready to share it with the world. Um.
- 25:47Speaker 1: But I saw something, you know, buzz speculation with the
- 25:51Speaker 1: music video coming out, um and the time, you know,
- 25:53Speaker 1: people were like counting down the moments, the minutes to
- 25:56Speaker 1: the music video was going to be released, and then
- 25:59Speaker 1: what it was, and I saw that she just gets,
- 26:01Speaker 1: you know, I'm waiting to see Becka and waiting, waiting, waiting,
- 26:04Speaker 1: And I texted her like an hour earlier, and I
- 26:06Speaker 1: was like it's something big about to happen with the
- 26:08Speaker 1: next supthing minutes and she was like, oh my god,
- 26:11Speaker 1: how did you know? I was like, I'm reading gossip bars.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Then when I saw the video, I was like, Okay,
- 26:20Speaker 1: it's still a little tongue in cheek, like we're still
- 26:22Speaker 1: trying to be like are they are? Yeah, But then
- 26:25Speaker 1: she posted the rail which was adorable. It's a it's
- 26:29Speaker 1: a big deal. It's a big deal for Bachelor Nation,
- 26:31Speaker 1: it's a big deal for Becca in Haley and yeah,
- 26:37Speaker 1: it's just Becca is such an incredib I mean, I
- 26:39Speaker 1: don't know Haley that well. I just I just cared
- 26:42Speaker 1: about Becca so much. And I think anybody that's met
- 26:45Speaker 1: her does as well, because she's just a great soul.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And Um, and anybody listens to Scrubbing in which a
- 26:53Speaker 1: lot of our listeners are crossover her in town, you're
- 26:56Speaker 1: so good together and you get you get a good
- 26:58Speaker 1: taste of who Becca is to her friendships, um, and
- 27:01Speaker 1: to the people around her. And so it's a big announcement. Um,
- 27:05Speaker 1: we're very happy for her. And um. Yeah, now it's
- 27:10Speaker 1: now it's out and open and eastern. You're just your job,
- 27:13Speaker 1: just got a lot easier. So congratulations to you. Yeah, man,
- 27:16Speaker 1: time to time to coast on this one. Headphones off. Well,
- 27:21Speaker 1: when you're reading these articles about the two of them,
- 27:24Speaker 1: one quote from her podcast came up, and that was
- 27:28Speaker 1: about a year and some months ago. She said that
- 27:30Speaker 1: I'm per cent sure that the person that I'm with
- 27:33Speaker 1: right now is the person that I will marry. So
- 27:35Speaker 1: I mean, alright, it's a stay tuned for that. Yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 1: now we get to look forward to the future. Other
- 27:53Speaker 1: news and batter Nation. This is a crazy one. It's
- 27:57Speaker 1: not under sell. I know. We're coming off of a
- 28:00Speaker 1: big announcement um there with Beck and Hayley. This is
- 28:02Speaker 1: a big announcement too. Jesse Palmer will take over hosting
- 28:07Speaker 1: duties on Bachelor in Paradise. Wells Adams to return as
- 28:12Speaker 1: bartender this Cornells Weekly as well. And I thought this
- 28:15Speaker 1: was going to be the thing that was on your
- 28:16Speaker 1: heart that you wanted to know. I had to I
- 28:20Speaker 1: had to talk about Reddit this guy. Yeah, a lot
- 28:23Speaker 1: less important. I just had to get it out there.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I just had to talk to you, Ash. But now
- 28:27Speaker 1: we're good. We're fine, Okay. I thought you were gonna
- 28:29Speaker 1: be disappointed in this because you are so close to Wells,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and I think so many people are rooting him to
- 28:33Speaker 1: the host And it was kind of surprising that they
- 28:36Speaker 1: announced this this week that I guess, not that they
- 28:39Speaker 1: announced it, but the fact that Jesse was going to
- 28:41Speaker 1: continue as the host of all the shows. I think
- 28:45Speaker 1: I don't want to get like anybody knowed me, But
- 28:49Speaker 1: I don't know that the show is ready to make
- 28:53Speaker 1: somebody who was in the recent history a cast member
- 28:58Speaker 1: become a host that quick. And I know five years,
- 29:02Speaker 1: five or six years is a quick turner, is you know?
- 29:07Speaker 1: I would say, you know, he's been in the host
- 29:11Speaker 1: role as the bartender for a while. But I think
- 29:15Speaker 1: that there's a part of them that's like, no, we
- 29:17Speaker 1: cannot let him graduate to host level yet. And they
- 29:20Speaker 1: may feel the same way about you, because you know,
- 29:23Speaker 1: he didn't get the job as or not yet. You
- 29:26Speaker 1: haven't gotten the job as the elderly. The elderly see,
- 29:32Speaker 1: you haven't gotten a call, okay. And I think that
- 29:34Speaker 1: a lot of people think that you would be a
- 29:36Speaker 1: natural replacement, a host replacement. You were up in the
- 29:40Speaker 1: air when they were looking for somebody to fill in
- 29:42Speaker 1: Chris Harrison's shoes. I don't think they want to give
- 29:46Speaker 1: people from the past decade or so that elevation. What
- 29:52Speaker 1: do you think about that? Well, I'm not speaking for
- 29:57Speaker 1: anybody here because I don't know. Of course I don't
- 30:01Speaker 1: know either. I'm speculating. This is how you make a
- 30:03Speaker 1: podcast interesting. No, I'm not that. I wasn't going that
- 30:06Speaker 1: direction when it comes to them. I'm talking about Wells
- 30:08Speaker 1: and myself. I would have a feeling if they don't.
- 30:12Speaker 1: I mean, Wells is almost forty years old. Oh my gosh,
- 30:15Speaker 1: here's believe no way. Is he thirty six? Yeah? Thirty seven? Um,
- 30:23Speaker 1: so he'll be thirty eight if the next go around. Right.
- 30:27Speaker 1: When is his birthday? Isn't it in May? Yeah? Because
- 30:31Speaker 1: we wished him I happy birthday. I did, Um, But
- 30:36Speaker 1: I have a feeling if they don't use him, they're
- 30:38Speaker 1: gonna lose him. That's my thoughts. This is his last
- 30:41Speaker 1: time as bartender. I feel like, and if he doesn't
- 30:44Speaker 1: get graduated next year, I think you're right, he's gonna
- 30:47Speaker 1: be done. Yeah, so that would be my thought. Is okay, cool?
- 30:50Speaker 1: You want to wait five year? Six years? It's kind
- 30:52Speaker 1: of like our conversation we always talk about when it
- 30:54Speaker 1: comes to breakups, how long is too long so you
- 30:56Speaker 1: can get back and you know, date again. It's kind
- 30:59Speaker 1: of here, how long is too long until you can
- 31:00Speaker 1: use somebody as a host. I don't think that's the
- 31:04Speaker 1: question that should be being asked. I think it's is
- 31:06Speaker 1: the person ready? Have they shown qualities of it, have
- 31:08Speaker 1: they committed to it? Are they a part of the
- 31:10Speaker 1: show already? Check? Check check check. Well, if Wells was
- 31:14Speaker 1: announced as the host, nobody blinks an eye other than
- 31:17Speaker 1: probably in celebration of the fact that Wells is getting
- 31:19Speaker 1: a job as host. I would do it right. Like,
- 31:23Speaker 1: there's a lot of people in Bachelor Nation that would
- 31:25Speaker 1: be like, I want to host this show. I want
- 31:26Speaker 1: to be involved more. Blah blah blah blah blah. Myself
- 31:30Speaker 1: included there. I want to host. I just want to
- 31:33Speaker 1: call myself out now because I'm a dumbass. They had
- 31:36Speaker 1: Caitlin Anda should be host, so obviously I'm wrong. There
- 31:39Speaker 1: you go, Okay, my theory is currently now debunked. Debunk
- 31:42Speaker 1: So now we're talking about where their mindset is at,
- 31:45Speaker 1: where the show or the fans mindset is at. There's
- 31:47Speaker 1: a lot of people that are like, hey, I would
- 31:49Speaker 1: just like that job. That feels like a fun job.
- 31:52Speaker 1: It feels like a job that's a big part of
- 31:54Speaker 1: my life and always will be at some level. It
- 31:57Speaker 1: feels like a good fit. You know. I could sell
- 31:59Speaker 1: that in many different ways. Now, I think that with
- 32:05Speaker 1: Wells it was a very obvious fit. He's already the
- 32:10Speaker 1: host of that show. I mean, I know Jesse is
- 32:11Speaker 1: gonna be there. And don't get me wrong here, even
- 32:15Speaker 1: when Chris Harrison was still hosting This Bachelor in Paradise,
- 32:19Speaker 1: Wells was probably just as known as a guide and
- 32:23Speaker 1: mediator and supporter to the people on the beach as
- 32:28Speaker 1: Chris was at the time, and Chris already had the longstanding,
- 32:31Speaker 1: you know, title as host of the franchise. Now, with
- 32:34Speaker 1: Jesse there, I have a feeling Wells is, unless they
- 32:37Speaker 1: eliminate his role and show him less, he's still going
- 32:41Speaker 1: to be the guy that everybody sees as the Paradise dude.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I go to these golf tournaments with him, Ashley. Everybody
- 32:48Speaker 1: knows him from Paradise. Everybody wants him to make a
- 32:50Speaker 1: drink for him, everybody wants to talk to him about
- 32:53Speaker 1: the beach. He I mean, it just feels like that
- 32:56Speaker 1: it's well as the show now, and I don't know
- 32:58Speaker 1: how you get I don't. I think the hard job
- 33:00Speaker 1: now is how do you get it away from being
- 33:02Speaker 1: well as a show and give it to Jesse, because
- 33:05Speaker 1: I I think people are gonna still see it as
- 33:07Speaker 1: well as a show as they watch. I just have
- 33:12Speaker 1: so many questions now. I'm just like pondering, just pondering,
- 33:17Speaker 1: and I'm also reflecting on how stupid I was to
- 33:20Speaker 1: not think about the Caitlen Tisha thing. But I also
- 33:23Speaker 1: feel like if I were to make sense of the
- 33:26Speaker 1: Caitlyn Tissia thing, I definitely think that they filled in
- 33:31Speaker 1: at a moment where they need to find somebody quick
- 33:34Speaker 1: that they knew it was gonna be good and quick.
- 33:36Speaker 1: They knew that they were gonna be temporary too. I
- 33:39Speaker 1: think with the Jesse decision, I think they're like, Okay,
- 33:42Speaker 1: this guy has lived a life outside the Bachelor community
- 33:46Speaker 1: for a while. The Caitlin and No, it was going
- 33:49Speaker 1: to be temporary, I think, so, don't you think. No,
- 33:52Speaker 1: I don't think the two of them knew they the
- 33:54Speaker 1: two of them didn't know, but I feel like production
- 33:57Speaker 1: didn't think that they would be a permanent host. Yeah. Well,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I mean they're obviously trying to make this Jesse's franchise. Now, Um,
- 34:05Speaker 1: that's I mean, and I see why you want yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 1: because he seems like Chris. Yeah, you make if you
- 34:11Speaker 1: you want a familiar face across the board. I just,
- 34:14Speaker 1: in my eyes, and I'm not an expert, it just
- 34:16Speaker 1: feels like Paradise is so connected yet so distant from
- 34:20Speaker 1: the Bachelor Bachelor. I think you could have a separate host,
- 34:22Speaker 1: and it would be fine. If not, it's like a
- 34:25Speaker 1: separate show to me, it's a completely different show. There's
- 34:28Speaker 1: people that watch Paradise, they don't even watch the Bachelor.
- 34:30Speaker 1: There's people that watch a Bachelor don't even watch Paradise.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Obviously is a lot of cross over there as well. Um,
- 34:36Speaker 1: this was just surprising, Ben. You put it perfectly. Just
- 34:40Speaker 1: put it perfectly. They definitely just want a host for
- 34:43Speaker 1: the entire franchise, even though in our eyes we do
- 34:47Speaker 1: look at Paradise so separately because it has such a
- 34:52Speaker 1: different vibe. It's so much more lighthearted. It's definitely a
- 34:56Speaker 1: little more sarcastic, tongue in cheek all of that. I actually,
- 35:00Speaker 1: I mean, personally, I think it would be better to
- 35:02Speaker 1: have a separate host because it has such a different
- 35:04Speaker 1: feel like I do. I just feel like Wells would
- 35:11Speaker 1: bring a different vibe and experience and a different humor
- 35:17Speaker 1: and lightheartedness, but also a depth that would be a
- 35:20Speaker 1: good fit. I think this will be a very interesting year. Ashley,
- 35:27Speaker 1: we can kind of close unless you have a following
- 35:29Speaker 1: thought because in in my eyes, from from what we're
- 35:35Speaker 1: reading and seeing, Wells is the bartender. I can't imagine
- 35:39Speaker 1: him being the bartender again. Uh so take that I don't.
- 35:44Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe he was willing to be the
- 35:46Speaker 1: bartender for the next ten years. That could be his
- 35:49Speaker 1: thing and he could be happy with that. I don't know.
- 35:51Speaker 1: I just have a feeling that he wanted to have
- 35:54Speaker 1: a feeling. Or you have a friendship knowledge, well I
- 35:58Speaker 1: have both, But my friend ship knowledge comes from interviews
- 36:01Speaker 1: we've done together. Because we don't talk about this stuff
- 36:03Speaker 1: very often. We don't talk about the show extremely often,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but you know, we do interviews together and somebody asks,
- 36:09Speaker 1: are you going to be host the host of Paradise
- 36:11Speaker 1: or do you want to be the host of Paradise?
- 36:12Speaker 1: And he always said, yeah, I want to be the host.
- 36:15Speaker 1: Like that, he kind of wasn't hiding it. This year. No,
- 36:18Speaker 1: you're saying I want to be the host. I don't
- 36:20Speaker 1: know if that's going to happen or not, but I
- 36:22Speaker 1: would like to be the host. So if that was
- 36:23Speaker 1: if I'm taking that and going that was his thought
- 36:26Speaker 1: moving into this season, and now he's the bartender again.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I just don't know probably where his heads that I
- 36:33Speaker 1: gotta check in, Hey, how's your head? Final comment on
- 36:37Speaker 1: Paradise and these changes, I think that I think it's
- 36:41Speaker 1: just gonna it might be on Hulu next year. This
- 36:44Speaker 1: is my thought. I think that ABC owns Hulu in
- 36:47Speaker 1: some capacity, or Disney does, and I just feel like
- 36:51Speaker 1: it might go over there well, and I'd be so
- 36:55Speaker 1: cool for there. I'd be so down for there to
- 36:58Speaker 1: be more Bachelor's spinoffs on Blue. Then we can do
- 37:01Speaker 1: fun things like when we could definitely do Winter Games,
- 37:03Speaker 1: and then we can definitely do the Elderly Bachelor Show.
- 37:07Speaker 1: But this year it is going to be on ABC. Correct,
- 37:09Speaker 1: because that's the next tiadline. It's going to be on
- 37:11Speaker 1: ABC for one more year at least, and then we
- 37:14Speaker 1: will see where the show will go from there. But
- 37:17Speaker 1: Paradise is back. The rumors are squashed. It is being
- 37:20Speaker 1: filmed It's coming back. Jesse Palmer as the host, Will's
- 37:22Speaker 1: Adams is the bartender, and no cast members have yet
- 37:26Speaker 1: to be confirmed that they are attending. Well. Actually, another
- 37:30Speaker 1: big headline, not as big as the others if we
- 37:33Speaker 1: compare them, but a big headline. Rachel and Gabby's promo
- 37:38Speaker 1: is out and the girls go shopping for a husband.
- 37:42Speaker 1: This is Mean Girls inspired. I watched it. Actually I've
- 37:47Speaker 1: never seen Mean Girls, so I didn't get the reference. No,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I've never seen Sorry, I haven't. Then that's not just
- 37:54Speaker 1: me like as a thirty four year old woman being
- 37:57Speaker 1: like Ben, it's like a cultural phenomenon. I should watch it.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I just saying that you've never seen Forrest Gump. I
- 38:06Speaker 1: just watched Top Gun for the first time last night, Ben,
- 38:09Speaker 1: whoop up. Yeah. Jess and I said that we've never
- 38:13Speaker 1: seen it. So we watched the first Top Gun last night.
- 38:15Speaker 1: We want to watch the second. Oh my gosh, the
- 38:17Speaker 1: second is so good. Jared, I got a special screening
- 38:21Speaker 1: last week. It was really fun. We got the theater
- 38:24Speaker 1: to ourselves, in the you know, just the Warwick Theater.
- 38:27Speaker 1: We have to invite thirty friends. My mom was home
- 38:30Speaker 1: babysitting and Jared was just lit up. The movie was awesome.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I prefer it to the first one. Now, I would
- 38:41Speaker 1: say that this one, the second one, won't ever feel dated,
- 38:45Speaker 1: whereas the first one feels dated but in a fun way. Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Oh look, oh Easton's here, He's saying so much better
- 38:52Speaker 1: than the first. Wow. I thought the first was good
- 38:54Speaker 1: for movie. I watched it and I was very happy
- 38:59Speaker 1: that we spent our even together watching it. We both
- 39:02Speaker 1: enjoyed it. And so anyways, the promo that is Mean
- 39:07Speaker 1: Girls inspired. Yes, this is your next job next time
- 39:11Speaker 1: you have a night off, Yes, the promo. So it's
- 39:16Speaker 1: the two of them, just like on a sound stage
- 39:19Speaker 1: getting into a car. Rachel Yo yells like, get in,
- 39:24Speaker 1: we're going shopping, and then Gabby gets in and she
- 39:27Speaker 1: goes for a husband, because you know classic mean girls line,
- 39:32Speaker 1: get in we're going shopping. Um. I think they're playing
- 39:36Speaker 1: on the fact that you know, this could be a
- 39:40Speaker 1: mean Girls scenario, whereas like two girls cat fighting at
- 39:43Speaker 1: each other's next fighting over guys. But they're also being like, no,
- 39:48Speaker 1: we're gonna like get ahead of this and and say
- 39:51Speaker 1: that this is not the way it's gonna be because
- 39:53Speaker 1: we're gonna make fun of mean girls. Does that make sense?
- 39:57Speaker 1: We're gonna get ahead of the mean girl comment by
- 40:00Speaker 1: quoting me and girls, So then it says something like
- 40:06Speaker 1: the pedal, the pedal is going to the metal, pedals
- 40:09Speaker 1: to the metal this season, and that's all we get
- 40:13Speaker 1: from them. It's literally just roses, digital roses flying all
- 40:17Speaker 1: over the place and the two of them in a car.
- 40:22Speaker 1: It's from everything we read, it's gonna be a great season.
- 40:26Speaker 1: It there's spoilers out now on how this season worked.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't want to know. I don't
- 40:32Speaker 1: want to know. Do you know? No? No, not like
- 40:34Speaker 1: who was with who? No, I get it, but like
- 40:37Speaker 1: you know how the season works, I don't want to know.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I saw the headlines. I don't I don't. Yeah, it's
- 40:43Speaker 1: gonna be out. We'll find out soon. And I'm sure.
- 40:47Speaker 1: I'm actually thinking that ABC will release some more footage
- 40:52Speaker 1: and teasers on how this worked before the first episode,
- 40:55Speaker 1: so that maybe the people that are very much like
- 40:58Speaker 1: I don't want to watch this because it feels odd
- 41:01Speaker 1: that bachelors have to share with each other, which we
- 41:04Speaker 1: would agree happens way too often, might be more convinced
- 41:08Speaker 1: to watch because they see the format. At least I
- 41:11Speaker 1: think that would be a smart move because if not,
- 41:13Speaker 1: we're just assuming it's going to work, similar to every
- 41:15Speaker 1: other season. Well, very sweet headline here. Peter Weber, who
- 41:20Speaker 1: was the Bachelor, co pilots his dad's final plane voyage.
- 41:24Speaker 1: The most special flight of my career, according to Peter.
- 41:28Speaker 1: This also according to People magazine. So Peter's dad retired
- 41:34Speaker 1: in April after being a pilot with United for thirty
- 41:38Speaker 1: seven years. Wow. As of May of last year, Peter
- 41:44Speaker 1: became a United pilot, and it seems as if his
- 41:47Speaker 1: brother is now in training to become a United pilot
- 41:50Speaker 1: or a pilot in general, in hopes to one debut
- 41:52Speaker 1: with United as well. His parents met on a United
- 41:57Speaker 1: flight when his mom was a flight attendant. So it's
- 42:01Speaker 1: a big family to do. And I believe it was
- 42:05Speaker 1: this week that United put out a video of Peter
- 42:09Speaker 1: and his dad taking that final flight together. He was
- 42:13Speaker 1: his co pilot, his his captain, which is really cute
- 42:16Speaker 1: and cool. And Peter got on the you know microphone,
- 42:20Speaker 1: what do they call it? They call that like the intercom, Yeah,
- 42:24Speaker 1: the intercom, and it was just like, this is a
- 42:26Speaker 1: really special flight. It's my dad's last flight, and you know,
- 42:30Speaker 1: he inspired me to become the pilot that I am today.
- 42:34Speaker 1: It's so special. I think that's really sweet. I think
- 42:36Speaker 1: it's really cool to see. I can't imagine what that
- 42:38Speaker 1: felt like for the two of them. I Yeah, that's
- 42:42Speaker 1: just a really cool moment. And congratulations to Peter's dad
- 42:45Speaker 1: on retirement. That's a big deal, and for all the
- 42:48Speaker 1: flights done and for the people that he's kept safe,
- 42:50Speaker 1: and then for Peter as he continues his career, but
- 42:53Speaker 1: he gets to experience it alongside of his dad. Um,
- 42:56Speaker 1: So congratulations to the Webber family and best of luck
- 43:00Speaker 1: on this next chapter. I'm sure it's gonna be fun.
- 43:02Speaker 1: And I'm sure he's not done with flying. I bet
- 43:05Speaker 1: there's a there's some small sessnuts in his dad's future
- 43:08Speaker 1: that I will be cruising around in. M hmm. Was
- 43:11Speaker 1: a cessnut. It's like a small plane. Okay, I figured. Hey,
- 43:17Speaker 1: a couple more headlines here for you, A big one.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Matt James says marriage is his relationship end game with
- 43:24Speaker 1: girlfriend Rachel Kirknell. Yeah, he basically said that it would
- 43:29Speaker 1: be a way. He sees it as a waste of
- 43:32Speaker 1: time if he was in a relationship with somebody that
- 43:36Speaker 1: he wasn't that wasn't going to end in marriage, especially
- 43:39Speaker 1: after I mean what they've been together for two years now,
- 43:42Speaker 1: probably a year and a half. Well, there was a
- 43:44Speaker 1: little bit of an in between in an intermission, but
- 43:48Speaker 1: they've been together for over a solid year consecutively. Yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 1: well that's uh, it's big news. They're moving forward on it.
- 43:57Speaker 1: You would think, you know, in batro nation, and you
- 44:00Speaker 1: don't know how long relationships will go go for before
- 44:03Speaker 1: an engagement is done. But it won't be shocking to
- 44:05Speaker 1: me if we have a headline here in the next
- 44:07Speaker 1: year that says Matt James and Rachel are engaged, that
- 44:11Speaker 1: would not be shocking at all. Well, speaking of engagements, weddings, kids,
- 44:18Speaker 1: the Bachelor, it's newlyweds Jojo and Jordan's say having kids
- 44:22Speaker 1: is at the forefront. This according to people as well. Well.
- 44:26Speaker 1: So the two of them planned on marrying in the
- 44:30Speaker 1: spring of and then having a few years of just
- 44:34Speaker 1: enjoying married life without kids. But now that they had
- 44:39Speaker 1: to take two years in order to get the wedding
- 44:41Speaker 1: that they wanted because you know, they wanted to have
- 44:43Speaker 1: all the people that they wanted there not the location
- 44:46Speaker 1: that they wanted, so they waited two years, and now
- 44:49Speaker 1: that they had, those two extra years have made their
- 44:52Speaker 1: relationships stronger than ever. Now they're gonna, you know, maybe
- 44:57Speaker 1: maybe start thinking about trying for those kids us here. Well,
- 45:03Speaker 1: won't that be something to celebrate? Aren't kids a special thing?
- 45:08Speaker 1: I'm telling I'm gonna tell them right now. Enjoy who
- 45:12Speaker 1: you got it? Yeah, you guys should take some more time,
- 45:16Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Like, I like literally obsessed
- 45:19Speaker 1: in love with Dawson, but I think Joejoe's thirty one
- 45:24Speaker 1: and then SE's like a year older than her. You
- 45:29Speaker 1: guys are both so so busy. Just know that you
- 45:32Speaker 1: will not be able to continue the lifestyle that you
- 45:34Speaker 1: have right now with a kid. Yeah that slows down
- 45:37Speaker 1: a bit. Yeah, well, I think I think your advice
- 45:40Speaker 1: is is warned. It comes from a place of wisdom
- 45:43Speaker 1: and experience. Hey, final headline Ashley one that I can't
- 45:48Speaker 1: even say it's funny. I think it freaks me out.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I I just can't imagine, um what this would be like,
- 45:55Speaker 1: and I live in an area could happen. But it's
- 45:57Speaker 1: a final headline up today. I saw this at actually
- 46:00Speaker 1: on TMZ before I even knew it happened on social
- 46:06Speaker 1: or whatever. But the bachelor at Star sham Booth freaks
- 46:09Speaker 1: out over a wild snake. Now this isn't the end
- 46:13Speaker 1: of the story. It's somewhere in my house, he says,
- 46:16Speaker 1: but I don't know where. So uh, he saw it,
- 46:22Speaker 1: he was gonna put a I think he put a
- 46:24Speaker 1: blanket over it just so that it would like calm down.
- 46:27Speaker 1: He did not want to kill the snake, like he
- 46:29Speaker 1: had no harm, but just just enough that he could
- 46:31Speaker 1: like calmly take it out of the house or like
- 46:34Speaker 1: have somebody else come and take it out of the
- 46:36Speaker 1: house like a professional. And then he was like and
- 46:39Speaker 1: then I was trying to get a basket and then
- 46:41Speaker 1: like a shovel and like kind of spider it out.
- 46:43Speaker 1: You know how people do that with a spider with
- 46:45Speaker 1: like a glass and a piece of paper, so like
- 46:47Speaker 1: a bigger version of that. And then he went downstairs
- 46:51Speaker 1: with the shovel ready to make this maneuver, and it
- 46:56Speaker 1: was gone. And he hasn't seen it in the house since.
- 46:58Speaker 1: He says, he checks the else every night before it
- 47:01Speaker 1: goes to bed. I think i'd be closing the bedroom
- 47:03Speaker 1: door and then like putting a blanket, um, you know,
- 47:07Speaker 1: beneath it so it didn't get through the cracks. But
- 47:09Speaker 1: this thing is not like a garden snake or anything
- 47:11Speaker 1: like that. This is like a snake to the point
- 47:14Speaker 1: where like it may not even be able to crawl
- 47:16Speaker 1: underneath the door. It's uh, and it kind of like
- 47:20Speaker 1: sat up. If you see the video of it, it
- 47:22Speaker 1: kind of like sat up, like it was about ready
- 47:24Speaker 1: to attack. So it kind of looks like it snake.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I'm looking at the stricture right now. Yeah, you're right,
- 47:30Speaker 1: it looks like you're the heads up. It's like a
- 47:33Speaker 1: little cobra. S. It's not a gardener. It's it looks
- 47:37Speaker 1: like maybe like a bull or rattlesnake, but it's it's
- 47:40Speaker 1: small for bull snakes. Bull snakes are harmless, not poisonous,
- 47:44Speaker 1: but they're very like aggressive. Um, they actually kill rattlesnakes.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Rattlesnakes are obviously very poisonous and very aggressive and not
- 47:51Speaker 1: like fun. But it didn't have a rat rattle alert
- 47:55Speaker 1: on it, So I don't know what kind of snake
- 47:56Speaker 1: it is. I'd be very nervous. I get us already
- 48:00Speaker 1: here in Colorado where we live there's a lot of rattlesnakes,
- 48:04Speaker 1: and every once in a while I'll just have like
- 48:06Speaker 1: a weird fear where I've got a check underneath the
- 48:09Speaker 1: couch or the toilet or something. Uh, But we gotta
- 48:13Speaker 1: keep update on this. I haven't heard an update. It's
- 48:16Speaker 1: been a couple of days now that he first saw
- 48:18Speaker 1: the snake. But it's in his house, or maybe it's
- 48:21Speaker 1: left the house. I don't feel like it's left the
- 48:23Speaker 1: house now if he hasn't seen it. Yeah, why would
- 48:26Speaker 1: it leave the house though it's air conditioned and comfy.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Has just ever seen snakes like this around Nashville? Oh,
- 48:33Speaker 1: I'm sure I haven't asked her. She's a runner, so
- 48:35Speaker 1: she used to do a lot of trailer runs. I'm
- 48:36Speaker 1: sure she's came across a bunch of snakes in her time.
- 48:39Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't know if she's ever seen in
- 48:42Speaker 1: the house. It is wild though. We Uh. When I
- 48:46Speaker 1: was in high school, our science teacher had a big
- 48:48Speaker 1: old snake, like an eight foot long snake and it
- 48:51Speaker 1: got out of the cage in the tank at school
- 48:54Speaker 1: or yeah, at the tank at school, got out of
- 48:56Speaker 1: the tank over the weekend and he came back it
- 48:59Speaker 1: was empty, and it was actually they found it up
- 49:00Speaker 1: in the ceiling tiles. They could have gone up into
- 49:03Speaker 1: the ceiling, so we uh think about it. Yeah, I
- 49:07Speaker 1: think about the students. If they would have had a
- 49:08Speaker 1: snake drop on their drop drop on their head, that'd
- 49:11Speaker 1: be weird. Snakes don't scare me as much as spiders do.
- 49:15Speaker 1: This being said, you know, I've never had one crawling
- 49:19Speaker 1: around my house, slithering around my house, but there's something
- 49:24Speaker 1: about the imagery of a snake crawling up the wall
- 49:29Speaker 1: and into the ceiling that's scary, scary. I just don't
- 49:34Speaker 1: know of anybody I know if people that have snakes
- 49:36Speaker 1: as pets. I just don't know of anybody that would
- 49:39Speaker 1: be cool with a snake, uh, just crawling around their house,
- 49:44Speaker 1: Like I don't. I don't know that person. Maybe I
- 49:46Speaker 1: want to meet them. Maybe there's somebody listening to is
- 49:48Speaker 1: that person and they want they could explain it to us.
- 49:50Speaker 1: But either way, a wild snake in the house is
- 49:54Speaker 1: it is just a scary, scary idea to me. So
- 49:58Speaker 1: we're wishing Sean the best and dog. Who knew we
- 50:01Speaker 1: were going to talk about that headline so long? Now,
- 50:04Speaker 1: I know? Come on, now, hey, that's all the headlines
- 50:06Speaker 1: we have for you today. That's the whole show today.
- 50:08Speaker 1: We're really happy that you listened. Thank you for hearing
