- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with your hosts.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown and Connor mcs patterned.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I'm Adam Todd Brown, I'm Connor mcsped And.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Who are you. I'm trying to fucking clark. You're here again.
- 0:41Speaker 3: I didn't leave.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Yeah, you're not my real dad.
- 0:44Speaker 2: That doesn't matter because it's a podcast, but it's still true.
- 0:48Speaker 3: It is true. Although how's everyone been since we recorded
- 0:52Speaker 3: last like five ten minutes ago, a little more hydrated,
- 0:56Speaker 3: smoked some cigarettes, we drank some water. We're killing it, yeah, man,
- 1:01Speaker 3: And now we're ready to talk about Courtney Love possibly
- 1:04Speaker 3: being a CIA operative. Speaking of killing it, this is
- 1:10Speaker 3: everything in this episode comes from the same book we
- 1:14Speaker 3: referenced last time, Drugs as a weapon against us. Bye,
- 1:19Speaker 3: mister potash, Bye, mister potash.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Sounds like a terrible like breakfast dish that they serve
- 1:26Speaker 2: you in the South, Like, oh yeah, potash, it's just
- 1:28Speaker 2: potato skin, just the skin, and then they mix it with.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Like pig feet. It's potash and hash. Yeah, a little
- 1:35Speaker 5: bit of hash in there too.
- 1:36Speaker 3: And this is a book that I suspect on this podcast,
- 1:40Speaker 3: we're gonna get about twenty five episodes out of because
- 1:44Speaker 3: it's a billion pages long and it covers so many
- 1:48Speaker 3: different things. But today, specifically, we're talking about Courtney Love
- 1:54Speaker 3: and the possibility that she was as part of the
- 1:59Speaker 3: MK old program, our favorite mind control program on this podcast.
- 2:03Speaker 4: And there's stiff competition. Yeah, there's a lot.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Is it my control controls with a K? Is that
- 2:09Speaker 5: what MK stands for?
- 2:11Speaker 3: No?
- 2:12Speaker 4: I went through We would get what it was last time.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah there was the MK Yeah I don't remember,
- 2:19Speaker 3: but I mean.
- 2:19Speaker 5: MK ultra does sound like one of those low car beers.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I've been drinking MK ultra. Man been really you know?
- 2:26Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, I've.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Been you know, I've been trying to take care of myself.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I've been meditating and drinking MK ultra.
- 2:32Speaker 3: This is a quote from Drugs as a Weapon against Us.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Despite some singing talent, much of Love's life makes her
- 2:40Speaker 3: appear a fantasy driven drug addict seeking glory by marrying
- 2:44Speaker 3: a rock star or becoming one. However, closer scrutiny suggests
- 2:50Speaker 3: she may have been groomed or conditioned from an early
- 2:54Speaker 3: age to carry out some US intelligence tasks.
- 2:59Speaker 5: So buck listeners Okay. Yeah, first off off the bat,
- 3:02Speaker 5: that is a crazy sentence.
- 3:04Speaker 3: This is not your grandfather's Kurt Kobaane conspiracy.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Yeah, this is like, okay, that's a pretty crazy theory.
- 3:12Speaker 5: And then it gets crazier. That's the thing about mk ultra.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I bring it up whenever people are dismissive of conspiracy
- 3:22Speaker 3: conspiracy theories in general. It's like, sometimes this shit is real.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they did it for like thirty years,
- 3:29Speaker 4: a long time, you know.
- 3:31Speaker 3: When it was first found out, they the Government's big
- 3:35Speaker 3: sticking point is people were like, hey, the government's doing
- 3:37Speaker 3: this massive like mind control experimentation thing, and the government
- 3:42Speaker 3: was like, it's not massive, it's but then we found
- 3:47Speaker 3: documents focused. But then we found documents that revealed that
- 3:51Speaker 3: it was like a nationwide thing that went into other countries. Well,
- 3:55Speaker 3: what broke the mk ultra story.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Misfiling some of the records for because a lot of
- 4:00Speaker 2: them have been destroyed, and then other ones that were
- 4:02Speaker 2: kind of like transferred over from just like a dutiful
- 4:05Speaker 2: fire clerk beca's like, oh yeah, we got some of
- 4:06Speaker 2: your peanut butter and our chocolate. And then someone fire
- 4:09Speaker 2: out the freedom of information answer question and then and
- 4:11Speaker 2: that's how we got like a sliver of what was
- 4:13Speaker 2: actually document about it.
- 4:14Speaker 5: And if you watch the Wormwood Docus, I'm just gonna say, Wormwood,
- 4:17Speaker 5: it's part of this, right right. Yeah, that I think
- 4:19Speaker 5: a lot of it probably came out through the course
- 4:22Speaker 5: of that. And that's where Courtney Love threw a guy
- 4:24Speaker 5: out of a hotel exactly.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Yeah, she dangled him by his ankles like shook night.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Courtney Love is the comedian from watch Man.
- 4:35Speaker 3: So yeah, that is a crazy ass quote. But this
- 4:39Speaker 3: is not as crazy of a theory as it seems.
- 4:42Speaker 3: It's crazy, but it's not as implausible as it sounds,
- 4:47Speaker 3: especially given what we know about mk Ultra, which anyone
- 4:52Speaker 3: listening to this, if you're listening for the first time,
- 4:54Speaker 3: go back and listen to our mk Ultra episodes and
- 4:59Speaker 3: learn up on that ship.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Yeah, there's some fun ones.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Really does sound like it's like it's a high reward point. Oh,
- 5:04Speaker 5: you gotta get the mk Ultra episodes.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Those are the Yeah, it's like someone trying to upsell
- 5:09Speaker 4: you on a pontiac.
- 5:10Speaker 2: It's like, well, if you get the mk Ultra suspension,
- 5:12Speaker 2: it's guaranteed for three years.
- 5:15Speaker 4: It comes with the sun roof.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah, so let's talk about Linda Carroll. Oh, good old ELC.
- 5:21Speaker 3: She is Courtney loves mom and.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Not hot mom like we saw.
- 5:26Speaker 5: Yeah, just Courtney loves plain ass mom. But although I
- 5:30Speaker 5: bet she was all right, I don't know. It took
- 5:32Speaker 5: a lot of curt to make Francis pretty.
- 5:38Speaker 2: That's pretty funny. Yeah, Courtney is aggressively not my tide.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Have you seen how Francis just doesn't really like She's like, yeah,
- 5:48Speaker 2: I don't know, Like Dumb's a good song, but I
- 5:49Speaker 2: don't really like Nirvana.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yeah, which fuck her. Nirvana is a good band. Yeahirvan
- 5:53Speaker 3: is a good shut up?
- 5:55Speaker 4: What are you talking about?
- 5:56Speaker 3: Idiot? So it's Outa's birthday. He gets to be let
- 6:01Speaker 3: me call Kurt Kobate's daughter an idiot.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it gets to be orphaned.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Orphan. So Linda Carroll she was the adopted daughter of
- 6:13Speaker 3: a family with major stockholdings in both the Bausch and
- 6:16Speaker 3: Lom company and gold mining. What rich family not gold digging?
- 6:22Speaker 4: Come oh conspiracy.
- 6:28Speaker 3: She gave birth to Courtney Michelle Harrison on July ninth,
- 6:32Speaker 3: nineteen sixty.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Well that doesn't fit at all, more like Horison, Oh
- 6:38Speaker 2: who was you get it?
- 6:40Speaker 3: In fact, Courtney Love is the exact same astrological sign
- 6:44Speaker 3: of every crazy person I've ever dated.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Well that's proof right there that she killed somebody.
- 6:49Speaker 4: That's no way. You're an astrology guy.
- 6:51Speaker 3: No, I'm into it.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Are you really what?
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yeah? I believe it. I'm into it. I think it's very.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Accurate astrology, astronomy, astrology.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I think people's signs are actually a representation of what
- 7:03Speaker 3: their personality is like. Because anytime I tell people I'm
- 7:06Speaker 3: a piscis, they're like, oh, you might kill yourself someday,
- 7:09Speaker 3: and I'm like, yeah, that's accurate. I guess you're right.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:13Speaker 2: But so, I mean, I think maybe there's something to
- 7:16Speaker 2: the notion that people born it's like like November babies
- 7:19Speaker 2: are usually football players, Like I think like to that,
- 7:22Speaker 2: like cause there's a certain age where if you're born,
- 7:25Speaker 2: then you just miss one year of school cut off.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So the fact that you're a little bigger than the
- 7:30Speaker 2: other kids, just from how quickly you kind of develop
- 7:32Speaker 2: as a very young child you have you're more encouraged
- 7:35Speaker 2: to go into sports and stuff like that. So just
- 7:37Speaker 2: most football players are born in November. I don't know
- 7:39Speaker 2: if that's the exact month. But I think there's a
- 7:41Speaker 2: little bit of something like that that could be play,
- 7:43Speaker 2: you know. But I mean further than that, this this
- 7:47Speaker 2: seems very uncharacteristic for somebody for you to be into.
- 7:50Speaker 3: You know, I host a conspiracy theory podcast. I believe
- 7:54Speaker 3: like seventy percent of them.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Yeah, it would be amazing if Connor was like, I
- 7:58Speaker 5: didn't know, I had no idea.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I just it just doesn't See. I'm not begrudging
- 8:05Speaker 4: you for it.
- 8:06Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not like I don't study it, but
- 8:10Speaker 3: I don't disagree that there's something to astrological signs in
- 8:15Speaker 3: a person's personality.
- 8:16Speaker 5: You don't disagree that a very open ended sentence could
- 8:18Speaker 5: apply to almost anyone exactly.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Jodos should agree a bit about hostrology just makes you
- 8:25Speaker 2: a space racist.
- 8:26Speaker 4: You're just discriminating, like I don't date Pisces.
- 8:28Speaker 2: And it's like, how's that different than saying a black guy,
- 8:30Speaker 2: you're a space racist.
- 8:32Speaker 3: That's a good point. I am a space racist.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Get that drop.
- 8:37Speaker 3: So her dad, I never knew this. Hank Harrison briefly
- 8:41Speaker 3: managed the Grateful Dead when they were still called the
- 8:44Speaker 3: Warlocks and sucked even more than they did when they
- 8:48Speaker 3: became the Grateful Dead.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yeah. The Grateful Dead suck ass.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah, they were trash. I'm not a fan, don't get it.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh is her godfather. Her godmother,
- 8:59Speaker 3: on the other hand, is a woman named dell Non
- 9:01Speaker 3: Windbled DeMarco, what was obviously up to some shit with
- 9:05Speaker 3: a name like that.
- 9:06Speaker 2: She's a Warcraft villain. Wind Blade DeMarco, the King of
- 9:10Speaker 2: the Trolls.
- 9:11Speaker 3: And DeMarco's husband was a right wing type who owned
- 9:14Speaker 3: a huge ranch in Delano, California.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Yeah, they got a good They've got a good farming
- 9:21Speaker 2: museum there that I went to one time, and he.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Was one of migrant farm worker organizer Caesar Chavez's biggest foes.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Well, yeah, with a name like wind Bled DeMarco, you
- 9:32Speaker 5: can't be a good guy.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Courtney was born about sixteen months before the acid tests
- 9:39Speaker 3: at which the Grateful Dead performed. That was the ken
- 9:42Speaker 3: Casey shit, right, That was the ken Casey shit.
- 9:44Speaker 4: What is the acid tests it? What exactly?
- 9:47Speaker 3: Tune in, drop out all that shit?
- 9:49Speaker 1: Right?
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 3: It was like the public version of mk Ultra where
- 9:52Speaker 3: they were just like, hey, what if we give everyone LSD?
- 9:55Speaker 5: Yeah, everyone figured like LSD was, they figured out how
- 9:58Speaker 5: to make it, and then it was just you got together.
- 10:01Speaker 5: You listen to a shitty band like Grateful Dead, and
- 10:03Speaker 5: you're like this is terrible. So you took acid and
- 10:05Speaker 5: you're like, that's not so bad.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah, And what's crazy about that? That's not unlike what
- 10:10Speaker 3: happened with mk Ultra. Mk Ultra, A big part of
- 10:14Speaker 3: it was just giving people acid and seeing what happened,
- 10:16Speaker 3: and that's what led to the Frank Olsen murder and
- 10:19Speaker 3: all that shit. But what we also know about mk
- 10:22Speaker 3: ultra is a lot of it happened in San Francisco,
- 10:26Speaker 3: like they had Brothels. The CIA set up brothels and
- 10:30Speaker 3: fucking drugged people with LSD. And it's worth noting this
- 10:34Speaker 3: conspiracy posits that not only is Courtney Love connected to
- 10:39Speaker 3: the CIA, but was trained as a prostitute by the CIA.
- 10:44Speaker 4: How much training did she need?
- 10:46Speaker 3: She took to it like a champ.
- 10:48Speaker 4: It was not mk ultra like.
- 10:50Speaker 2: The the experiments were really on some like Joseph Mengelo,
- 10:54Speaker 2: like throw a dartboard at a body part and a
- 10:56Speaker 2: crime and just what if we try to replace your
- 10:58Speaker 2: tits with cats? You know, and it was just then
- 11:01Speaker 2: they're just like, yeah, yeah, we'll give you heroin and
- 11:04Speaker 2: see if you're better at math.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Like it was just very random. But what's crazy is
- 11:10Speaker 3: we know it all happened, and we know when, and
- 11:13Speaker 3: we know where. And Courtney Love at at the very least,
- 11:18Speaker 3: was there. She was in the area where all the
- 11:22Speaker 3: MK ultra shit was really happening in San Francisco. And
- 11:26Speaker 3: that's the thing about on the Ultra. That's the thing
- 11:34Speaker 3: Like the title of this episode sounds crazy, as you
- 11:39Speaker 3: go through it, shit kind of adds up like it
- 11:43Speaker 3: doesn't sound that crazy. And the first being that she
- 11:47Speaker 3: was raised in San Francisco by a mother who had
- 11:52Speaker 3: deep connections to the acid test scene and just that
- 11:57Speaker 3: movement in general, and had Ultra was happening, and had
- 12:01Speaker 3: that Bausch and loan cash. She had some money.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't even remember that. Those two names they're off.
- 12:06Speaker 2: They're off the Google doc now, so those were lost
- 12:09Speaker 2: to me. Well, good poll Bauschan, loam.
- 12:13Speaker 5: Bouche, they're they're the eyeglass people, contact lenses and all
- 12:16Speaker 5: that ship. Really yeah, fucking deep pockets.
- 12:20Speaker 3: So the uh Linda Carroll was and the book says
- 12:27Speaker 3: intimately connected to drug users in ken Casey's acid test scene,
- 12:33Speaker 3: where during these acid test parties there were mk ultra
- 12:37Speaker 3: scientists who showed up at these things because.
- 12:39Speaker 2: The dude with like a fucking square cut haircut. Just like,
- 12:42Speaker 2: God damn it, why do we have to listen to
- 12:44Speaker 2: this shit?
- 12:45Speaker 3: But that, yeah, that's that's what we were doing kind
- 12:49Speaker 3: of as a country at the time. It's just seeing
- 12:51Speaker 3: what we could do with acid. So ken Casey's sitting around,
- 12:54Speaker 3: He's like Cuckoo's nest. Fucking was awesome.
- 12:57Speaker 5: I guess I'll just go hang out with the dead
- 12:59Speaker 5: now and drive around in the Magic Bus. Is that
- 13:02Speaker 5: what's happening.
- 13:03Speaker 3: I don't know a lot about ken Casey King see
- 13:06Speaker 3: fucking hate the grateful dead so much so the Magic Bus,
- 13:10Speaker 3: which we all know the who song was about Ken
- 13:12Speaker 3: Kesey and his Mary pranksters who did the acid test
- 13:14Speaker 3: and they drove around in a school bus and just
- 13:16Speaker 3: gave acid to people during the acid test. Shit, you
- 13:19Speaker 3: know who else did that? The American government? Well, I'm
- 13:22Speaker 3: saying as just as a whole. As a whole, but see,
- 13:25Speaker 3: that's that's the thing.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I mean, it was just a black van.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Yeah, we're kind of making jokes, but what happened with
- 13:34Speaker 3: the acid tests does parallel how mk ultra worked, where
- 13:38Speaker 3: they would just give people acid and see, what the fuck,
- 13:41Speaker 3: how's this gonna go?
- 13:42Speaker 5: Allegedly, someone who may be related to me was in
- 13:44Speaker 5: the military, and are you.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Alleging that they were in the military.
- 13:49Speaker 5: I'm alleging of what this story is that there was
- 13:53Speaker 5: some acid going around and in the government, in the
- 13:55Speaker 5: I'm sorry, in the in the army, and they just
- 13:58Speaker 5: gave it to him, and he stood on the desk,
- 14:00Speaker 5: can win, I'm very tall and made other people who
- 14:02Speaker 5: were his subordinates come in and tell them that he
- 14:05Speaker 5: was tall?
- 14:07Speaker 3: Is he not?
- 14:08Speaker 5: Really? He?
- 14:10Speaker 3: But will you stand on the desk because you're is
- 14:12Speaker 3: so great? It's so mk ultra to me seems like
- 14:16Speaker 3: a government experiment that did not go the way they expected.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Fucking new Unpopped podcast acid tests you get through? Okay,
- 14:24Speaker 2: chet Wild every week is way down locked in a
- 14:28Speaker 2: cage with children's toys, and we film him.
- 14:31Speaker 3: I would be into that.
- 14:33Speaker 5: So Court's whole thing is like Jacob's ladder, right, but
- 14:36Speaker 5: it gets so much weirder, Like we we know her
- 14:40Speaker 5: her mom did have connections to that scene, a scene
- 14:44Speaker 5: where MK ultra was active.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Also, and this isn't conspiracy theory talk. These are Courtney
- 14:51Speaker 3: Love's own words. One, she says she was given acid
- 14:55Speaker 3: at the age of three. Yep. Cool, she claims her
- 14:58Speaker 3: dad did it. But they're like all these different But also,
- 15:02Speaker 3: what we do know for sure her mom put her
- 15:04Speaker 3: in psychotherapy at the age of three. We don't even
- 15:08Speaker 3: have memories at three.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't have the vocabulary to communicate the complexities
- 15:13Speaker 2: of your psyche.
- 15:14Speaker 4: I mean, what are you gonna draw a picture? Like,
- 15:16Speaker 4: what's the what's the game plan there?
- 15:18Speaker 3: And at the time she put her in psychotherapy, they
- 15:22Speaker 3: were living in San Francisco, where a lot of the
- 15:26Speaker 3: MK ultra stuff was happening. And specifically, let me find
- 15:31Speaker 3: the guy's name by just typing in John John Gettinger.
- 15:35Speaker 3: He is. He'll come up a lot more in this.
- 15:38Speaker 3: But he was one of the main MK ultra researchers
- 15:43Speaker 3: and he was a psychiatrist based in San Francisco. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 3: and that gets important later. But Courtney Love claims at
- 15:52Speaker 3: the age of three she was taken to a psychiatrist,
- 15:56Speaker 3: and her claims get crazier from there. But just that right, Yeah,
- 16:01Speaker 3: that alone. Why are you sending your kid to a psychist? Much?
- 16:05Speaker 4: Did you have to be?
- 16:06Speaker 3: At three years old? Was she like, I'm gonna kill
- 16:09Speaker 3: Kirk cobeins, I want to grow up and kill gun Okay,
- 16:13Speaker 3: I want to not write my own album.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I didn't even believe that one.
- 16:19Speaker 3: You don't believe she didn't write that album?
- 16:20Speaker 4: Uh?
- 16:21Speaker 3: No, I do.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Yeah. You think Kurt wrote it.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I think Billy wrote it. I think Billy wrote the
- 16:27Speaker 3: second one. Oh, the second one, celebrity skin Okay, yeah,
- 16:30Speaker 3: Billy Corgan himself is like, yeah, I was kind of
- 16:33Speaker 3: just showing them some shit I was working on and
- 16:35Speaker 3: didn't think that was gonna end up on their album.
- 16:38Speaker 3: But whatever. M and they do sound like Smashing Pumpkins songs,
- 16:43Speaker 3: that's for sure. So yeah. She was raising Courtney Love
- 16:46Speaker 3: in San Francisco at this time. She also lived near
- 16:49Speaker 3: Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, a confirmed MK ultra testing
- 16:55Speaker 3: location confirmed.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Well, that's the thing it is. That's what's so great
- 16:58Speaker 5: about MK Ultra. The shit is confirmed. Yeah, because we
- 17:01Speaker 5: got documents that proved it. There were hundreds of hospitals.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Adam his birthday, drunk and excited.
- 17:09Speaker 3: There were hundreds of hospitals around the country that participated
- 17:13Speaker 3: in this. Sometimes they knew, sometimes they did it.
- 17:15Speaker 2: That was the original Rick and Morty sauce and McDonald's
- 17:18Speaker 2: was you had wanted to find an mk ultra hospital
- 17:21Speaker 2: where you could go get electrocuted.
- 17:22Speaker 3: I like that.
- 17:22Speaker 5: You go there and there's like a little check mark
- 17:25Speaker 5: like it's verified. Oh, it's been verified.
- 17:27Speaker 4: Oh it's it's over the window. You know.
- 17:28Speaker 2: You got like a little like decal like this mkult
- 17:31Speaker 2: piece of blotter paper.
- 17:33Speaker 3: What does that mean? Oh, it's the window pane with
- 17:35Speaker 3: a check next to it.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Mean yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 3: So in federal hearings on CIA projects in nineteen ninety five,
- 17:43Speaker 3: two women, Chris Di Nicola and Claudia Mullen, testified that
- 17:47Speaker 3: they were victims of mk ultra experiments in Subproject Monarch,
- 17:52Speaker 3: starting at the age of three years old.
- 17:54Speaker 5: Subproject Monarch three years old. Just like Courtney, Just like
- 17:58Speaker 5: Courtney Love.
- 17:59Speaker 3: That's weird. I love their bands. Though.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Christen Nicola and Claudia Mullen they were in Babes in Toyland.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I don't think that's true. I think it's true either.
- 18:09Speaker 3: I citation needed, sitition needed, so Dinicola and Mullen testified
- 18:15Speaker 3: that LSD, trauma and hypnosis were used on them trauma
- 18:19Speaker 3: from infancy until the age of sixteen to help turn
- 18:24Speaker 3: them into prostitutes and assassins for the CIA.
- 18:28Speaker 2: You're making like a gritty reboot of Charlie's Angels here. Yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 2: I try to turn you guys into a TNT original drama.
- 18:36Speaker 4: So if you wouldn't mind.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Razzolian Isles, but LSD and trauma and Mullen testified that
- 18:43Speaker 5: MK Ultra superstars John Geittinger and Sidney Gottlieb, who we've
- 18:48Speaker 5: talked about a bunch on this podcast, did the experimental
- 18:52Speaker 5: training on her. So now we have Sidney Gottlieb, who
- 18:55Speaker 5: we know at least was involved in the Wormwood shit,
- 18:58Speaker 5: probably the assassin in the Wormwood shit.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Yeah, and now his name's coming up.
- 19:04Speaker 5: In John getting Jered, the guy that we threw three
- 19:07Speaker 5: year old Courtney to right it, oh fuck, was working
- 19:12Speaker 5: for MK Ultra.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Cool.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's great and her. Mullen's account was detailed extensively
- 19:18Speaker 3: in a book called Mass Control written by Jim Keith,
- 19:21Speaker 3: and that book also includes similar stories from two other women.
- 19:25Speaker 3: It also mentions in nineteen ninety two speech by psychologist
- 19:30Speaker 3: doctor Cordon Hammond to an audience of psychology professionals at
- 19:35Speaker 3: a regional conference on Abuse and Multiple personality. Hammond interviewed
- 19:39Speaker 3: therapists nationwide to find that in about two thirds of
- 19:42Speaker 3: ritual abuse cases, perpetrators used quote a highly developed and
- 19:47Speaker 3: uniform technology of mind control. And he further claimed that
- 19:52Speaker 3: many of these cases had connections to the CIA and
- 19:55Speaker 3: military and employed a type of technology originally created by
- 20:00Speaker 3: by the CIA. And that's what we know about MK ultra.
- 20:03Speaker 3: They were trying to develop mind control technology.
- 20:07Speaker 5: So what is the idea you give someone so much
- 20:09Speaker 5: trauma they develop another personality and that's the one that
- 20:12Speaker 5: you're trying to activate.
- 20:13Speaker 3: We'll get to it later, but that's actually John Gettinger.
- 20:16Speaker 3: That was his focus with split personalities.
- 20:19Speaker 4: He was trying to like, you know, how you can
- 20:21Speaker 4: your computer and start Linux.
- 20:22Speaker 2: You know, he was trying to do that with like
- 20:25Speaker 2: little slutty kids or whatever. And well, yeah, they had
- 20:30Speaker 2: slut they had slut training like this, they went to
- 20:32Speaker 2: like slut Cotillion that the government.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Sent them to. Yeah, it's John Gettinger. Becomes really interesting
- 20:41Speaker 3: in the story. But the fact that he focused on
- 20:44Speaker 3: personality on split personalities and then we'll talk about it later.
- 20:48Speaker 3: But people like Kristin Fath and Courtney Love's own dad
- 20:54Speaker 3: have gone on record and said that Courtney Love just
- 20:57Speaker 3: kind of cycles in and out of different personalities and
- 21:01Speaker 3: at some points that personality is very violent, which cool.
- 21:07Speaker 5: So that's interesting, what a fun lady.
- 21:10Speaker 3: One of the groups that in this speech Hammond claimed
- 21:14Speaker 3: practiced this was the Processed Church, which was located in
- 21:18Speaker 3: San Francisco. They were tied to the Manson family.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Oh fun, Yeah, of course, another place that loved guns
- 21:25Speaker 5: and violence and LSD and split personalities.
- 21:28Speaker 3: Right.
- 21:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:28Speaker 3: I feel like if we did an episode about the
- 21:31Speaker 3: Manson family, we'd find some shit where we were like, oh,
- 21:34Speaker 3: they kind of the government killed Sharon Tates.
- 21:37Speaker 2: There's just a lot like did they kind of pop
- 21:39Speaker 2: up anything that you know in the late twentieth century
- 21:42Speaker 2: in entertainment, there's always someone who knew someone in the
- 21:44Speaker 2: Manson family.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:48Speaker 3: So the question at this point, Courtney Love enters psychotherapy
- 21:51Speaker 3: at the age of three, is that a normal thing
- 21:55Speaker 3: or is it so crazy to suggest that maybe it
- 21:59Speaker 3: was an MKA Well say it not a normal thing.
- 22:02Speaker 2: While it does sound like some shit that parents in
- 22:04Speaker 2: San Francisco would do, is like start you off on
- 22:06Speaker 2: psychotherapy at the age of three. I think the proximity
- 22:10Speaker 2: to these facilities, you know, in her family's background kind
- 22:12Speaker 2: of suggests that they she seems like a likely candidate.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's I mean, it's all circumstantial evidence, but people
- 22:19Speaker 3: go to prison over circumstantial evidence.
- 22:21Speaker 5: I'm not Here's who worried about that, Devil's advocate. Could
- 22:25Speaker 5: she have just been a problem child? And this is
- 22:27Speaker 5: all you're wring? Hey devil, how are you, Bud?
- 22:31Speaker 4: I'm doing good, Budd.
- 22:32Speaker 3: That's good. You sound like my friend Alex.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he's a He's one of
- 22:37Speaker 1: my favorite vessels to communicate through.
- 22:41Speaker 5: Well, I just wanted to propose this question. Do you
- 22:44Speaker 5: think it could just be a wealthy family have with
- 22:46Speaker 5: a difficult child and the idea is go fix her
- 22:49Speaker 5: brain because we can't get her to do something.
- 22:50Speaker 1: You know, Courtney love is a saying personally, spend thousands
- 22:53Speaker 1: of hours talking with her over a cup of shade
- 22:55Speaker 1: grown a rabica being coffee, and I found her to
- 22:58Speaker 1: be very personable. And then there's knows when that she
- 23:00Speaker 1: was a difficult child, I've done.
- 23:03Speaker 4: I can't.
- 23:03Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I mean, that is possible, but thanks devil, who sounds
- 23:08Speaker 3: a three year old to psychotherapy? That's rich people who
- 23:12Speaker 3: can afford to I.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Was just in San Francisco. People in San Francisco.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Do we Yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 4: I mean that's.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Especially at this time when this kind of shit is
- 23:22Speaker 2: all very new and hip, you know, right.
- 23:24Speaker 3: But it's it is also still happening in the area
- 23:30Speaker 3: where mk Ultra was happening. And we'll talk more about
- 23:35Speaker 3: John Gettinger, and I think John Gettinger was the psychiatrist
- 23:40Speaker 3: Courtney Love was sent to. That's that kind of becomes
- 23:44Speaker 3: the implication here. And at that point, whatever reason they
- 23:49Speaker 3: sent her to psychotherapy, what's really important is what happened
- 23:53Speaker 3: to her during that psychotherapy.
- 23:56Speaker 5: I like the idea though, of this family, this family
- 23:59Speaker 5: with wealthy mean the young daughter, and they hear about
- 24:02Speaker 5: m k Ultra and they're like, we need to plan
- 24:04Speaker 5: for her future.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Need to do I think she'd be a great slutty assassin.
- 24:09Speaker 3: And the thing about her mom being from a wealthy family,
- 24:12Speaker 3: her mom was like a complete fuck up by this point.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Oh so strange that Courtney Loves.
- 24:19Speaker 3: She was just like moving from area to area and
- 24:22Speaker 3: taking her daughter sometimes so they're behind. Sometimes they weren't
- 24:26Speaker 3: rolling in gold. Her family had money, we don't know
- 24:29Speaker 3: she did. That's necessarily trickled down to her by this
- 24:32Speaker 3: point because her mom at this point is like following
- 24:35Speaker 3: the grateful dead around the country. So maybe she had
- 24:38Speaker 3: the money to support that, But I don't get that
- 24:41Speaker 3: she was like this San Francisco yuppie waiting for computers
- 24:45Speaker 3: to break so she could follow her real passion. Like
- 24:48Speaker 3: I think here's what I think about Courtney Love's mom.
- 24:52Speaker 3: I think she was Courtney Love's mom, right, yeah, And
- 24:56Speaker 3: that should say it all.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I I just I had to take a break to
- 24:59Speaker 2: tweet Courtney Love the Sugar Night of Grunge because I
- 25:02Speaker 2: think that's pretty true.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Seems pretty accurate.
- 25:05Speaker 2: It's so crazy that Courty Love seems like she should
- 25:07Speaker 2: be dead, Like it doesn't seem like there should be
- 25:09Speaker 2: a character like this with all this crazy stuff coming on,
- 25:11Speaker 2: that is still alive. Like I really want to kind
- 25:14Speaker 2: of see the deathbed confession after she dies, books by
- 25:18Speaker 2: friends to kind of like go into a lot of
- 25:20Speaker 2: this stuff because I feel like she's a person with
- 25:22Speaker 2: who's just.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Been around a lot of history.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Oh, the guy from the Leaving Trains is terrified of her.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Yeah that her ex husband, her ex her first husband.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well yeah, I don't know if he one
- 25:32Speaker 3: of her husbands comes up in this and yeah. The thing,
- 25:36Speaker 3: the other weird question about Courtney Love is why do
- 25:41Speaker 3: we not have a long history of Courtney Love going
- 25:44Speaker 3: to jail? We do, but for the wrong things. Yeah,
- 25:47Speaker 3: but not for like beating the shit out of Kathleen
- 25:51Speaker 3: Hannah at Lavapalooza, like all of that. She just punched
- 25:56Speaker 3: the shit out of her out a concert.
- 25:58Speaker 4: She's a rebel girl, dude.
- 26:01Speaker 3: And there's all of these incidents of Courtney Love physically
- 26:04Speaker 3: assaulting people and never going to jail for it. Why
- 26:07Speaker 3: does that happen? I don't know. Because she's a woman? No,
- 26:10Speaker 3: is that what we want to lean on just because
- 26:12Speaker 3: she's a woman. I don't fucking matriarchy ruling the world.
- 26:18Speaker 5: I don't know how to respond to that.
- 26:19Speaker 3: That's the thing. It's weird. Yeah, it's weird.
- 26:22Speaker 2: I mean, is she she's probably rich at the time
- 26:25Speaker 2: of these incidents.
- 26:26Speaker 4: That's got to help.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, But like kat Williams has decent cash and he
- 26:30Speaker 3: goes to jail every four months. But he doesn't have
- 26:32Speaker 3: Nirvana money. That won't neither Love Courtney Kurt Kobaine had
- 26:37Speaker 3: Nirvana money, right, but now she is the heir to that.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Oh yeah, now.
- 26:41Speaker 5: And so so now when you're at La Llapalooza punching
- 26:43Speaker 5: Kathleen Hannah in the face, you got Nirvana lawyers in
- 26:46Speaker 5: Nirvana money to keep you from going to jail.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure it's just that, I hope. Let's carry on.
- 26:56Speaker 6: So the uh, I have reason to believe that Courtney
- 26:58Speaker 6: Love is a shape shifter who take the form of
- 27:01Speaker 6: a passerby or a bystander, at which point she has
- 27:04Speaker 6: imprisoned multiple clones, of which she has stockpiles.
- 27:07Speaker 4: In the billions. Uh, we're on this after I tell
- 27:10Speaker 4: you about the.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Good folks fancy toothbased.
- 27:18Speaker 3: So this is uh, this is another interesting point. At
- 27:21Speaker 3: one point, Courtney Love's mom moves to New Zealand. Sure
- 27:25Speaker 3: and yeah, at first leaves Courtney Love in Oregon, but
- 27:29Speaker 3: eventually flies Courtney Love out to Oregon. But that doesn't
- 27:33Speaker 3: work out well. So someone flies to New Zealand and
- 27:36Speaker 3: brings Courtney Love back to the United States. What and
- 27:39Speaker 3: that person who did it? Her therapist. I'm not in therapy,
- 27:45Speaker 3: but I feel like, hey, come get me from New Zealand.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Is a boundary most ethical therapist would not cross.
- 27:54Speaker 7: I am in.
- 27:55Speaker 5: Therapy, and I will tell you what the rule is.
- 27:57Speaker 5: The rule is you cannot initiate contact outside unless you
- 28:01Speaker 5: have permission. For instance, my therapist once saw me at
- 28:04Speaker 5: a Dell Taco not to brag and left because he
- 28:07Speaker 5: was like, oh, that's weird. I can't and he told
- 28:10Speaker 5: me about it. He's like, he told me about it.
- 28:12Speaker 5: Next time I saw him, he goes. My thing is
- 28:13Speaker 5: if I see you in public, I can't initiate contact.
- 28:17Speaker 5: I can't, right because people don't know who I am
- 28:19Speaker 5: to you, and I'm not certainly not taking people to
- 28:22Speaker 5: the airport. You're certainly not going to another country and
- 28:24Speaker 5: accompanying somebody back.
- 28:26Speaker 3: Right. This wasn't just that they picked her up at
- 28:28Speaker 3: the airport. They fucking flew to New Zealand to fly
- 28:31Speaker 3: her back to la and John Gettinger will come up
- 28:35Speaker 3: again in a little bit in relation to that. But
- 28:38Speaker 3: around the age of fourteen, Courtney briefly moved in with
- 28:42Speaker 3: Hank Harrison and she tells him that this psychiatrist that
- 28:47Speaker 3: she's been seeing molested her sweet. She also says he
- 28:51Speaker 3: hypnotized her and gave her these psycho hypnotic drugs to
- 28:56Speaker 3: and all and seek and all, starting at least as
- 28:59Speaker 3: early as the age of seven, two of.
- 29:02Speaker 4: The worst pokemon in the entire roster.
- 29:05Speaker 3: And Hank Harrison isn't the most trustworthy source, but I
- 29:12Speaker 3: like his explanation. He basically says, I believed Courtney because
- 29:20Speaker 3: what fourteen year old would have knowledge of those drugs? Yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 3: we're not living in a google age. There's no way
- 29:26Speaker 3: you can.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I mean maybe she saw him lying around just at
- 29:29Speaker 2: some of the acid test party.
- 29:30Speaker 5: Yes, well, I mean no, they're not living in a
- 29:31Speaker 5: google age. Then go on and look that shit up
- 29:35Speaker 5: and be like, oh I know this drug? Yeah, because
- 29:37Speaker 5: I typed in what are drugs I could talk about
- 29:39Speaker 5: in so cool?
- 29:39Speaker 3: You know? Yeah, to know about those drugs, she had
- 29:42Speaker 3: to have some kind of experience with them, and uh mk.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Ultra researchers have cited CIA documents that detail their psychiatrist's
- 29:54Speaker 3: use of sekinol as a narco hypnotic to gain trance states.
- 30:00Speaker 3: So that's weird.
- 30:00Speaker 5: So what you're throwing it in the kid making them
- 30:03Speaker 5: go into a trance and programming him for later pretty much,
- 30:06Speaker 5: there's sweet on They just got to put you into
- 30:09Speaker 5: sleep mode and then just like on the MK Ultra, Yeah,
- 30:14Speaker 5: on the MK Ultra episode, we talked about a guy
- 30:16Speaker 5: who went on to become the president of the American
- 30:19Speaker 5: and Canadian Psychiatric Associations.
- 30:22Speaker 4: And yeah, he had both belts, yeah united.
- 30:27Speaker 3: His whole thing was this concept called psychic driving, where
- 30:31Speaker 3: he would basically get you so high that you were
- 30:34Speaker 3: in a coma and then he would just play tape
- 30:37Speaker 3: loops to try and like erase bad memories.
- 30:39Speaker 2: That's what they did, and that's the whole lot of
- 30:41Speaker 2: Brave New World is that from the time that you're
- 30:43Speaker 2: a little kid, there's a little speaker in your bed
- 30:45Speaker 2: and you're you're They basically make people like according to
- 30:48Speaker 2: cast systems biologically by putting alcohol in their like development tanks,
- 30:51Speaker 2: that you'll be kind of stupider and slower and smaller
- 30:54Speaker 2: if you just have to work manual labor. And there's
- 30:55Speaker 2: a little voice that says every night, it's like I'm
- 30:57Speaker 2: a delta. I love working in the coal mine. Yeah,
- 31:00Speaker 2: I love getting my hands dirty.
- 31:01Speaker 4: I love it. And it's like could you do that
- 31:03Speaker 4: with I love killing rock stars. I love you know,
- 31:07Speaker 4: like I know.
- 31:07Speaker 3: It's a wacky thing that people like everyone scoffs when
- 31:11Speaker 3: they hear about the secret, But the secret is if
- 31:16Speaker 3: anyone doesn't know how it works, it's the real high
- 31:18Speaker 3: overview is the thoughts, Like what you think comes back
- 31:23Speaker 3: to you, right, And that's that didn't start with a secret.
- 31:27Speaker 3: That's research that's been happening for decades and decades about
- 31:31Speaker 3: the subconscious.
- 31:33Speaker 2: And kind of eavesdrops on your conscious mind. And by
- 31:35Speaker 2: being more disciplined in your thoughts, you're thinking more constructively
- 31:39Speaker 2: and less you know, end of the world all the time.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Then you'll probably inherit a little bit more happiness from
- 31:45Speaker 2: the subconscious processes that are going on, you know, all
- 31:48Speaker 2: concurrently with your conscious mind.
- 31:50Speaker 3: And it's a thing I've even fucked with. I have
- 31:53Speaker 3: literally recorded myself saying things that were going to happen
- 31:56Speaker 3: and listen to it when I slept. I know, you
- 31:58Speaker 3: have a podcast network. It's literally well one of the
- 32:01Speaker 3: things when I was still living in South Dakota, I
- 32:03Speaker 3: was like, I'm gonna get a job with a major publication,
- 32:07Speaker 3: which is crazy because I was living in South Dakota
- 32:10Speaker 3: working on the internet at the time. Yeah, and within
- 32:12Speaker 3: like three months I got a job running a Playboy
- 32:15Speaker 3: website from my couch in South Dakota. And that's not
- 32:19Speaker 3: like evidence that this shit is real, but.
- 32:23Speaker 2: It is kind of just like I think having the
- 32:25Speaker 2: mood or having the kind of like cause if you
- 32:28Speaker 2: you know, it's like say, I'm like I want a
- 32:30Speaker 2: TV show, but I'm like, I suck. I don't, I'm
- 32:33Speaker 2: not there, funny, I'm not there's not my career is
- 32:35Speaker 2: not really hot right now or anything. It's like I'm
- 32:37Speaker 2: not gonna get I think having the mindset is like, yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 2: I want a TV show, I'm gonna get one.
- 32:41Speaker 4: I deserve one.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:42Speaker 4: I think that that is too.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Much more if you walk around thinking like that. That's
- 32:45Speaker 2: why fucking narcissist and sociopaths are so successful, because they're
- 32:49Speaker 2: they're all they're so Gods is just hearing them go like, yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 2: you're God's gift to the earth, right.
- 32:54Speaker 5: And then when someone's like you fucking suck, You're like no,
- 32:57Speaker 5: I don't, yeah, no, what are you fucking crazy, dumb man?
- 33:00Speaker 3: You fucking suck?
- 33:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and you yeah, yeah, you're great. This is a
- 33:05Speaker 4: good time.
- 33:07Speaker 5: So let's talk about John Gettinger. John Gettinger, John getting
- 33:11Speaker 5: You're done?
- 33:13Speaker 4: I was thinking it.
- 33:16Speaker 3: As we mentioned earlier, he was an MK ultra researcher
- 33:19Speaker 3: who specialized in split personality disorders, which is what everyone
- 33:25Speaker 3: in Courtney Love's life says she has, is split personality disorders.
- 33:31Speaker 3: Hank Harrison wrote a book about Courtney Love where he
- 33:33Speaker 3: mentions a conversation with Kristen faff I already said that
- 33:37Speaker 3: never mind, but Kristin faff has also or did also
- 33:43Speaker 3: go on record and say, yeah, Courtney Love has multiple personalities.
- 33:47Speaker 3: It's scary.
- 33:48Speaker 5: She's violent, she cycles in and out a different person.
- 33:51Speaker 5: Is Courtney Love the split personality? And Courtney Harrison's the
- 33:56Speaker 5: real lady? Is that what the deal is?
- 33:58Speaker 4: Courtney Hate could be well, Love is just like a
- 34:02Speaker 4: stage name, right.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Right, But isn't a stage name of persona you create? Like,
- 34:06Speaker 5: isn't that just kind of.
- 34:07Speaker 2: A yeah, that's like that's her ziggy start us, yeah,
- 34:10Speaker 2: you know, and then when she's the thin white duke,
- 34:13Speaker 2: that's when she starts killing people, you know.
- 34:16Speaker 3: So the thing about John Gettinger, we know he worked
- 34:19Speaker 3: in the San Francisco area. We know he worked on
- 34:22Speaker 3: split personality stuff. At one point, he takes his split
- 34:26Speaker 3: personality operation to Australia.
- 34:30Speaker 5: Oh and you know what's really close to Australia, Tasmania,
- 34:33Speaker 5: New Zealand.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Oh, New Zealand too.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Yeah, So is it possible that John Gettinger was the
- 34:40Speaker 3: guy who took her and picked her up?
- 34:41Speaker 4: Yeah? Sure.
- 34:43Speaker 3: She at one point, like I said, she also said
- 34:46Speaker 3: this guy molested her. She explained all of these experiments
- 34:50Speaker 3: involving drugs that do line up with the things that
- 34:53Speaker 3: were done.
- 34:54Speaker 2: To be driving shift, pop the clutch. And now that's
- 35:00Speaker 2: not a nice thing to say. I'm sorry. I mean,
- 35:03Speaker 2: I think you killed a great a great man.
- 35:05Speaker 4: But I mean I don't think you're going to that
- 35:07Speaker 4: should have happened to you.
- 35:08Speaker 3: So that's that's weird that this MK ultra psychiatrist, who
- 35:15Speaker 3: was working in San Francisco at one point, moves his
- 35:19Speaker 3: operation to Australia, and around this same time, Courtney Love
- 35:24Speaker 3: is maybe involved in MK ultra shit and is moved
- 35:28Speaker 3: from New Zealand to the United States by her psychiatrist.
- 35:33Speaker 3: That's I get that. It's not proof that she killed
- 35:36Speaker 3: Kurt Cobain. No, that's fucking weird. But it gets you
- 35:39Speaker 3: to the ballpark. It's really strange. It's the public trendsit
- 35:44Speaker 3: that takes you to the location.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 3: And another weird thing. All of the women who've testified
- 35:53Speaker 3: to having been subjected to this before, they were like,
- 35:56Speaker 3: we were trained as prostitutes, like not.
- 35:59Speaker 4: Just so yeah, okay, Ultra had brothels.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Ultra had brothels definitely in San Francisco probably other places, because.
- 36:07Speaker 2: They want to drug you in a situation where you'd
- 36:09Speaker 2: be embarrassed to talk about it, you know. And they
- 36:11Speaker 2: hadn't invented magic the gathering yet, so they thought hookers
- 36:16Speaker 2: that's the ticket.
- 36:17Speaker 5: But aren't they also training them to be I mean,
- 36:19Speaker 5: we still do this now you're here with all the
- 36:20Speaker 5: spy ship that. Like they're using sex as a way
- 36:23Speaker 5: to get close to powerful people and then get them
- 36:26Speaker 5: to tell you shit. Right oh yeah, oh yeah, I
- 36:28Speaker 5: mean the idea, Well, I watched the American work. It's
- 36:32Speaker 5: just just a bunch of fucking pedophiles having fun with children,
- 36:34Speaker 5: Like I can't.
- 36:35Speaker 3: What, no, I get the things.
- 36:36Speaker 4: I mean a little column, A little column, I mean
- 36:40Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Of Columbine in there too. It's the Columbine the Fine
- 36:46Speaker 3: and High. So this is from a book called Courtney
- 36:51Speaker 3: Love The Real Story, which fine. It was written by
- 36:55Speaker 3: a friend of hers name Poppy z Bright. And I
- 36:58Speaker 3: get that that's not the best source, but a.
- 37:01Speaker 5: Cod's saying missus z Bright doesn't necessarily have the most
- 37:05Speaker 5: accurate portrayal of Miss Love, but according to her, and
- 37:09Speaker 5: keep the prostitutes thing in mind, Courtney claimed at one
- 37:13Speaker 5: point she worked for organized crime in Japan as a stripper.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Yeah, she used her hahu kuza.
- 37:21Speaker 4: I think she.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I think she just got high and watched Kill Bill
- 37:23Speaker 2: and thought that was Yeah.
- 37:26Speaker 4: She was.
- 37:27Speaker 3: She traveling so much because she's in the CIO. I
- 37:33Speaker 3: forget that comes with a platinum boarding pass.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:38Speaker 3: She referred to this work she did as quote the
- 37:41Speaker 3: white slave trade.
- 37:43Speaker 4: In the Delta Premium Lounge as it passed.
- 37:47Speaker 3: And implied that it involved prostitution. Also, Courtney Love biographer
- 37:52Speaker 3: Melissa Rossi, that's a tough job also said. Courtney reported
- 37:57Speaker 3: having worked as a prostitute in Taiwan as a teen. Hank.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Also, Hank, she says it in proper English, I will
- 38:04Speaker 2: love you for a long time.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Hank. Harrison. Her dad also claims he found Courtney
- 38:10Speaker 3: working as a prostitute in San Francisco at one point
- 38:13Speaker 3: for a madam who went on to become a lifelong
- 38:16Speaker 3: advisor to Love Well. You know, that's that's really the
- 38:18Speaker 3: role of a madam.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Absolutely, it's just I'm just imagining.
- 38:23Speaker 4: It's the puppet madam from the old comedian. Yeah.
- 38:28Speaker 3: In nineteen eighty, Hank Harrison moves to Dublin to work
- 38:30Speaker 3: on a book project. Sixteen year old Courtney goes to
- 38:33Speaker 3: live with Hank during this time, and at this time
- 38:36Speaker 3: she's hanging out with a guy named Steve O'Leary, who
- 38:39Speaker 3: it has been confirmed since CIA operative Jesus Christ working
- 38:44Speaker 3: for the CIO.
- 38:45Speaker 4: I mean, she just can't avoid these people, you know.
- 38:48Speaker 3: And even better, at one point she buys a thousand
- 38:52Speaker 3: hits of a or just has a thousand hits of acid.
- 38:56Speaker 4: That's too many, and she and Steve.
- 38:58Speaker 3: O'Leary go to Liverpool to distribute acid. Which remember the
- 39:04Speaker 3: other theory here is she infiltrates upstart music scenes with
- 39:09Speaker 3: drugs and infighting in an effort to destroy them if
- 39:15Speaker 3: they start getting to leftist and think about England in
- 39:19Speaker 3: nineteen eighty like that's punk is just getting off the ground,
- 39:25Speaker 3: but also close to being dead. But also new wave
- 39:28Speaker 3: is starting. There's all like those.
- 39:30Speaker 2: Sat is coming around. You know, there's factory records or
- 39:33Speaker 2: you know, teaching people.
- 39:35Speaker 3: How to be sad. This was a vital time. Everyone's
- 39:38Speaker 3: on the dole. Yeah. Yeah, this was an important time
- 39:42Speaker 3: for love, orange juice, for music. This loved it, good stuff.
- 39:49Speaker 3: This is an important moment for that scene and Courtney
- 39:52Speaker 3: love just happens to be there.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Yeah, just happens to be It was like the forest
- 39:57Speaker 2: gump of music ending before it should.
- 40:00Speaker 5: She's like the Glenny Friedman, just always there at the
- 40:02Speaker 5: right moment to take a snapshot of that scene.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Yeah, right before it blows up. And on the trip
- 40:07Speaker 3: to Liverpool, they also went to England and visited the
- 40:11Speaker 3: Ockenden Vietnamese refugee camp in London, which, for one thing,
- 40:15Speaker 3: Hank Harrison says, was a CIA installation but also weird
- 40:20Speaker 3: side note, before killing John Lennon, Mark David Chapman visited
- 40:25Speaker 3: a CI, or not necessarily CIA, but a Vietnamese refugee
- 40:30Speaker 3: camp in like Arkansas.
- 40:32Speaker 5: Huh, but I'm sure that's nothing. What's happening here? I
- 40:36Speaker 5: know what the fuck is happening.
- 40:38Speaker 4: Man, Dude, being a sheep was so much easier now.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Now I gotta be a courty love fucking truth, dude,
- 40:45Speaker 2: I gotta so.
- 40:46Speaker 3: According to a lot of accounts, when she gets to
- 40:50Speaker 3: England in nineteen eighty, she immediately becomes a groupie in
- 40:54Speaker 3: this scene, to the point that she apparently which this
- 40:58Speaker 3: part is kind of comforting because said she became a
- 41:00Speaker 3: groupie for the Pogues, and I was like, you didn't
- 41:02Speaker 3: fuck that guy with a rotten te Shane, Yeah, but no,
- 41:06Speaker 3: it was the drummer who apparently got her pregnant. She
- 41:09Speaker 3: got an abortion, but also made such a scene of it.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Dirty Old two was actually about her pussy. That's what
- 41:15Speaker 2: she did. I went to Ireland. Every single bar I
- 41:18Speaker 2: went into, they played live music, every single bar, every
- 41:21Speaker 2: single every single one, all over every every major city
- 41:24Speaker 2: in Ireland. Every band played Dirty Old Town at least once.
- 41:28Speaker 2: It is the Wonderwall of Ireland and I love that song.
- 41:32Speaker 2: But every time, every bar, it did not not happen.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Ever, And I should add in terms of her breaking
- 41:39Speaker 3: up the drummer in the Pogues marriage, Yeah, don't.
- 41:41Speaker 5: Fuck sixteen year old groupies, dude, Yeah, yeah, no. I
- 41:44Speaker 5: mean in England, sixteen is the age of consent.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Still, well, all right, you're gonna you're gonna give her
- 41:51Speaker 2: a baby that she has to ship out in between homework.
- 41:54Speaker 4: I mean, that's rude.
- 41:56Speaker 3: Uh So, it's claimed by some researchers that she was
- 41:59Speaker 3: quote no longer or welcome in Liverpool by nineteen eighty two.
- 42:03Speaker 3: So one of the musicians she dated around this time
- 42:06Speaker 3: was guy named Julian Cope, and during Courtney's marriage to Kurt,
- 42:12Speaker 3: this guy took out a full page ad in several
- 42:15Speaker 3: music publications and they said, this free us from Nancy
- 42:21Speaker 3: Sponge and fixated heroin a holes who cling to our
- 42:26Speaker 3: greatest rock groups and suck out their brains.
- 42:30Speaker 5: I mean, interpreted all kinds of ways. There's just there's
- 42:33Speaker 5: so many ways you could look at that.
- 42:34Speaker 4: It's open.
- 42:36Speaker 3: So from England, she moves to Portland and gets involved
- 42:42Speaker 3: in that music scene. And we know that's true because
- 42:45Speaker 3: this is when she briefly joins Babes and Toiland right
- 42:48Speaker 3: before getting kicked out of the band and they moved
- 42:51Speaker 3: back to Minneapolis. But so whatever was happening in Portland
- 42:55Speaker 3: that ultimately did not take off in the nineties, Courtney
- 42:58Speaker 3: Love was involved in that too, or oh.
- 43:00Speaker 2: This is around the time that Keith Carrey's biological fathers
- 43:04Speaker 2: in Portland in a band. I wonder if he ever
- 43:06Speaker 2: got a got a mickey from old Courtney Love.
- 43:09Speaker 3: Probably because it's said that around this time she would
- 43:13Speaker 3: distribute pills like candy in the Portland music scene, and
- 43:17Speaker 3: that raises a question, where's she getting like a thousand
- 43:22Speaker 3: hits of acid? That's it's ten thousand dollars if you're
- 43:26Speaker 3: getting a really so long.
- 43:29Speaker 6: Azy because you did like all these adjusts in the air,
- 43:32Speaker 6: you're in this beautiful mind calculationship.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I had to pull up the drug calculator and my
- 43:39Speaker 3: ear carry the one.
- 43:41Speaker 5: Also, everything tastes like orange and boom. It's ten thousand dollars.
- 43:45Speaker 3: That's a lot of money. Sure for a sixteen year
- 43:48Speaker 3: old who sure her mom.
- 43:50Speaker 4: Has she's saw in that pussy. But I mean, I
- 43:52Speaker 4: can't be with.
- 43:54Speaker 5: Like, there's nothing in Courtney Love that's worth ten grand
- 43:57Speaker 5: no no, yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 2: No, yeah, so uh give me a couple of secrets
- 44:02Speaker 2: for a tell all book.
- 44:03Speaker 5: But she also worked in Alaska as a stripper for
- 44:07Speaker 5: some time, which Jesus Christ strip I sometimes think Alaska
- 44:11Speaker 5: is just a CIA base, Like, so much weird shit
- 44:16Speaker 5: happens up there. I feel like they were liked, recharge
- 44:18Speaker 5: your battery.
- 44:19Speaker 4: It's kind of like snow Florida hangout.
- 44:22Speaker 5: It's at with the coworkers, the CIA base and some
- 44:25Speaker 5: reality television about people who have difficult lives getting.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a it's a it's a front by the
- 44:31Speaker 2: FBI and the TLC channel.
- 44:34Speaker 5: So her first husband, without Discovery Networks, there is no Alaska.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:39Speaker 3: Her first husband says that during this time or she
- 44:43Speaker 3: told him that during this time when she was working
- 44:45Speaker 3: in Alaska, quote, she slept with generals at the army
- 44:50Speaker 3: base who told her secret information that proved that the
- 44:53Speaker 3: wars they got us into were for our own good.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 44:58Speaker 3: If I had heard that Courtney Love quot completely out
- 45:01Speaker 3: of context, I would have been like, you fucking maniac,
- 45:04Speaker 3: what are you talking about? Yeah, But hearing it in
- 45:07Speaker 3: the context of this, I'm like, oh, maybe that happened. Yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 3: that seems plausible.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I mean like you might. You might
- 45:15Speaker 2: have to like that's like the Joy Division for fucking
- 45:19Speaker 2: generals in Alaska. It's like, we'll fly Courtney Love up
- 45:21Speaker 2: to fuck you guys, you know, and try not to
- 45:24Speaker 2: get to the to loose lift in the post coital
- 45:28Speaker 2: fucking cigarette Hayes.
- 45:29Speaker 3: So by the late eighties, she was in LA and
- 45:32Speaker 3: had started Hole. She also got married around this time
- 45:35Speaker 3: to a local punk musician named James Morland. The Leaving
- 45:38Speaker 3: Trains I've never heard of them, that's are they good?
- 45:41Speaker 4: Banned?
- 45:42Speaker 3: Yeah? He's Courtney Love destroyed them. She stole the.
- 45:45Speaker 5: Baby doll dress from James. He used to wear them
- 45:46Speaker 5: on stage. That was his fucking bid. Yeah, And and
- 45:50Speaker 5: the Leaving Trains will still play shows, and you go,
- 45:53Speaker 5: it's just like it's just a broken, sad dude, a
- 45:56Speaker 5: sad guy.
- 45:56Speaker 3: I've seen him in one of the Nirvana documentaries. I
- 45:59Speaker 3: think he's in Curtain where he goes a kindro gent
- 46:01Speaker 3: with Charles Manson. Is still Charles Manson, and he's like
- 46:03Speaker 3: still like so worked up about the whole. He's mad.
- 46:07Speaker 4: Oh he thinks he thinks that Courtney killed him.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Uh no, she he just destroyed. She destroyed Lifeah Okay.
- 46:14Speaker 3: This is a quote for more or not a quote
- 46:17Speaker 3: for Morland. But he said that when he married Courtney Love,
- 46:21Speaker 3: he thought he was marrying quote a radical punk feminist,
- 46:24Speaker 3: but ended up with right wing Phillis Diller instead nailed it.
- 46:28Speaker 3: So right wing Phillis Diller is the best description I've
- 46:32Speaker 3: ever heard. Yeah, and I need to know more of
- 46:35Speaker 3: Courtney Love's politics so I can make sure it's accurate.
- 46:38Speaker 2: There are there are a weird subject to people that
- 46:40Speaker 2: you'll meet out in the wild sometimes where it's like, yeah,
- 46:42Speaker 2: I mean I just love like, you know, like dying
- 46:45Speaker 2: my hair and just fucking popping pills, partying rock and
- 46:49Speaker 2: roll and small government and immigrants are destroying this country
- 46:54Speaker 2: and I think we should be the police of the world,
- 46:56Speaker 2: you know.
- 46:56Speaker 4: And it's like and it's like wait, wait, wait what what?
- 46:58Speaker 3: So she goes from Portland, she goes to la and
- 47:02Speaker 3: starts whole and before meeting Kurt Cobain, she also dates
- 47:06Speaker 3: Trent Resnor, yep and Billy Corgan. So those are all
- 47:12Speaker 3: really big music things. Like Trent Resnor ushered in a
- 47:17Speaker 3: whole new sort of thing in the night. It wasn't new,
- 47:20Speaker 3: but it was a departure and he probably is kind
- 47:24Speaker 3: of a leftist tied although I feel like she dated
- 47:27Speaker 3: him and was like, nah, he's good. He is.
- 47:30Speaker 5: He's right wing as Fuck, you're fine. Just give him
- 47:32Speaker 5: a little bit of time. He'll win an Academy award.
- 47:34Speaker 5: People will forget. They will forget all the other things.
- 47:37Speaker 3: So, with the exception of rap music, Courtney Love is
- 47:41Speaker 3: involved in a lot of important music movements.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Since I wish she would have gotten involved in rap music,
- 47:46Speaker 2: some one might have fucking just killed her.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I wish she would have dated Flavor Flav instead
- 47:51Speaker 3: of Brigitte Nielsen. I still wish she would date Flavor Flav.
- 47:55Speaker 5: There's still time. They're both still with us, They're both
- 47:57Speaker 5: still Yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Flavor Flav had a sick briefly that ran for twenty
- 48:01Speaker 2: six episodes on upn called Under One Roof, and I
- 48:04Speaker 2: watched it with Glee every single week. It was the
- 48:06Speaker 2: worst television show I've ever seen, and I cannot find
- 48:09Speaker 2: it online anywhere, and I want to watch it again.
- 48:11Speaker 2: There's a great one where Twista is like the guest
- 48:13Speaker 2: for the episode. But like, for one whole summer, I.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Just watched like this the whole time, talking with you.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Yeah, he just did like the brother, you know, and
- 48:19Speaker 2: it was just like it was the way and it
- 48:20Speaker 2: was like basically fresh Prince of bel Air. But it's
- 48:22Speaker 2: like his like yuppie brother like was supposed to go
- 48:24Speaker 2: to jail and Flavor. Flave took the blame and now
- 48:26Speaker 2: he's out, so he's got to take care of him.
- 48:28Speaker 2: And he did the whole rap. He explained the whole
- 48:30Speaker 2: premise of the show and the rap in the intro.
- 48:32Speaker 2: And it's the fucking the best bad television I've ever watched.
- 48:35Speaker 4: And I can't have anything.
- 48:36Speaker 5: I feel like that show is made with just well,
- 48:39Speaker 5: we don't know what Flavor will say, but we'll say
- 48:41Speaker 5: all of this and then hopefully it all ties together
- 48:44Speaker 5: and he talks.
- 48:46Speaker 3: So this is a quote from Susan Silver, who was
- 48:50Speaker 3: at various times manager for Soundgarden, Allison Chains and Screaming Trees.
- 48:55Speaker 3: And if I'm not mistaken married to Chris Cornell, I don't.
- 49:00Speaker 3: I don't know if they eventually got divorced and he remarried,
- 49:04Speaker 3: but she was Chris Cornell's wife at one point. This
- 49:08Speaker 3: is a quote from her after Courtney hooked up with Kurt.
- 49:11Speaker 3: It was the first time anyone had ever publicly trash
- 49:14Speaker 3: talked anybody in the community. It was really awful to
- 49:17Speaker 3: have somebody with this addict behavior of divide and conquer.
- 49:22Speaker 3: We had this really lovely, cohesive, supportive community and this
- 49:26Speaker 3: tornado came and started blowing things apart. So is that
- 49:31Speaker 3: Courtney loved doing her job as a CIA operative?
- 49:33Speaker 5: Well yeah, yeah, Well but what are they trying to
- 49:37Speaker 5: stop in the world what I made like this is
- 49:40Speaker 5: look I'm buying in this all happened. What are they
- 49:43Speaker 5: trying to stop from happening by these bands becoming successful.
- 49:47Speaker 3: Band spreading leftist politics?
- 49:49Speaker 2: It I mean, I know That's why I didn't like
- 49:51Speaker 2: that is because I, you know, discovered punk rock music
- 49:54Speaker 2: when I was thirteen years old, you know. So it's
- 49:56Speaker 2: like if you like, if you take these cool things,
- 49:57Speaker 2: you see these cool things happening, like a punk rock
- 49:59Speaker 2: or you're like, let's nip that in the bud, right,
- 50:02Speaker 2: you know, and what you do it from the inside,
- 50:05Speaker 2: like you know, everyone is like making has a community
- 50:07Speaker 2: making a cool thing. It's like get some potsterers in there,
- 50:10Speaker 2: you know, and kind of yeah, that's the That's the
- 50:12Speaker 2: best way to kill anything is within fighting. That's what
- 50:14Speaker 2: the CIA tries to do when they destabilize governments anyway.
- 50:17Speaker 4: That's that's that's in the playbook exactly.
- 50:18Speaker 3: That's that's precisely what we do to destabilize the government.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Like we have foundations now that just like it seems
- 50:26Speaker 3: like they usually call them pro democracy organizations, and like
- 50:30Speaker 3: John McCain is the head of one of them. There's
- 50:33Speaker 3: a democrat version also, and they just send people in
- 50:37Speaker 3: to go, hey, do you hate your government? Let me
- 50:39Speaker 3: tell you how to use Facebook. Yeah, and like Courtney
- 50:44Speaker 3: Love does kind of seem like the music.
- 50:47Speaker 5: Version of Facebook back in the early nineties.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Well, not Facebook, but she was. She was the one
- 50:54Speaker 3: going in and kind of quelling these movements.
- 50:58Speaker 4: Yeah, she was the Molotov cocktail of Yeah.
- 51:01Speaker 3: It's it's crazy. And there were some after she arrived
- 51:06Speaker 3: in Seattle, there were some weird incidents.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Uh.
- 51:11Speaker 3: For one, Kurt's friend, local poet Steve Bernstein, reportedly committing
- 51:16Speaker 3: committed suicide by slitting his own throat.
- 51:19Speaker 5: Oh, that's a tough way to do it. That's hard.
- 51:21Speaker 5: That's a weird way.
- 51:22Speaker 3: But his friend, filmmaker Oliver Stone, what was convinced that
- 51:28Speaker 3: he was murdered?
- 51:29Speaker 7: Uh?
- 51:30Speaker 3: Mark arm and Mike Starr both.
- 51:31Speaker 5: Hold on before we get to that, does Oliver Stone
- 51:33Speaker 5: think anyone dies of natural causes?
- 51:35Speaker 3: Like I think Oliver Stone is a Russian agent myself,
- 51:40Speaker 3: so who knows. Mark arm and Mike Starr both near
- 51:44Speaker 3: fatally overdosed after shooting up in separate incidents with Courtney Love.
- 51:48Speaker 8: She was there both times. She just had a better
- 51:50Speaker 8: tolerance Mark Armies. Of course if mud honey, Mike Starr
- 51:53Speaker 8: was the original drummer of Allison Change Allison Chains, yeah,
- 51:58Speaker 8: MIAs Apatta. That murder happened, which they talked about the
- 52:04Speaker 8: gets and they had a tour planned where they were
- 52:07Speaker 8: going to shadow the Pope as he traveled across the
- 52:10Speaker 8: United States and play a bunch of concerts, kind of
- 52:14Speaker 8: speaking out against.
- 52:19Speaker 3: I've been using it wrong. And she got murdered in
- 52:23Speaker 3: the streets of Seattle about a month before that tour happened.
- 52:27Speaker 3: And then when the members of TAD organized a benefit
- 52:30Speaker 3: to raise money to research and investigate her murder, Courtney
- 52:35Speaker 3: Loves shows up and starts a fight backstage that somehow
- 52:39Speaker 3: starts a fire and almost ends the benefit.
- 52:43Speaker 5: But look, to be fair, most benefits need a fire
- 52:48Speaker 5: and a fight absolutely to get it going.
- 52:52Speaker 4: What you got a cheese plate? Come on, man, start
- 52:54Speaker 4: a fight.
- 52:55Speaker 3: So then we'll end by talking about Kristen Faff, who
- 52:59Speaker 3: is another really weird death in Courtney Love's inner circle.
- 53:04Speaker 3: She died ten weeks after Kurt, after Kurt right, and
- 53:09Speaker 3: she was talked into joining Hole. Basically they I mean
- 53:12Speaker 3: they offered was the basis. She was, the basis that
- 53:15Speaker 3: they credit with making that.
- 53:16Speaker 5: Album, right right, right right. I remember this, This was
- 53:20Speaker 5: a real buried story. When this happened, it was real, like, oh,
- 53:24Speaker 5: another's someone, somebody that Courtney Love knows died, but Kurt
- 53:26Speaker 5: Cobain still did.
- 53:27Speaker 3: This one is almost more damning than the Courtney Loves story.
- 53:31Speaker 3: It just involves Eric Erlinson, who was who is Courtney
- 53:35Speaker 3: Love's lifelong friend and guitar player, but it just involves
- 53:39Speaker 3: him instead of Courtney Love. But it's pretty fucking crazy.
- 53:42Speaker 5: Well, without Faft dying, you don't get Melissa off Demure, Yeah,
- 53:46Speaker 5: who is anyway?
- 53:46Speaker 3: That'd be all right? I love her, Yeah, But it
- 53:50Speaker 3: would have been cool if Kristen Fath lived and Melissa
- 53:52Speaker 3: Auftermar just joined another band. But uh, her family tried
- 53:57Speaker 3: to talk her out of joining Hole, specifically because of
- 54:00Speaker 3: Eric Erlinson and Courtney Love's drug use. But nevertheless, she
- 54:04Speaker 3: joins Whole and within a couple months. Eric Rlinson is
- 54:08Speaker 3: her boyfriend now and she's addicted to heroin yep, nice,
- 54:12Speaker 3: and by all accounts, she was emotionally traumatized by Courtney Love,
- 54:18Speaker 3: like she would make suggestions in the studio and Courtney
- 54:21Speaker 3: Love would scream at her and call her stupidep and
- 54:24Speaker 3: she was very unhappy with the experience in general. So
- 54:30Speaker 3: once they finished recording the album, she goes back to Minneapolis.
- 54:33Speaker 3: She has to contractually go on this world tour, but
- 54:36Speaker 3: other than that, she wants nothing to do with this band.
- 54:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:39Speaker 5: Around this time, Kristin Faff's mother says that Cobaine asked
- 54:43Speaker 5: her to join a new band he was forming. That's interesting,
- 54:49Speaker 5: but then Kurt died and Kristin Faff, as a result
- 54:54Speaker 5: of Kurt dying, quits using drugs altogether.
- 54:57Speaker 3: She's like, I get it. I'm gonna die if I
- 54:59Speaker 3: keep doing. I need to get it together. And she's
- 55:04Speaker 3: getting ready to go on this tour, but she's moved
- 55:06Speaker 3: to Minneapolis, but she still has all her shit in Seattle.
- 55:09Speaker 3: So she and a friend, a guy named it Paul Erickson,
- 55:16Speaker 3: they rent a U haul and drive to Seattle to
- 55:19Speaker 3: get Kristen Faft's stuff. Now, remember by this time, she's
- 55:22Speaker 3: off drugs. Yeah, off drugs. She's done with Hole. She's
- 55:25Speaker 3: done with Hole. She's off drugs. She's just going back
- 55:28Speaker 3: to Seattle. This is her stuff. This is lived through
- 55:31Speaker 3: this era right right. And her friend Paul Erickson, because
- 55:35Speaker 3: the neighborhood that she lived in was so concentrated with
- 55:40Speaker 3: heroin users, he slept in the in the U haul
- 55:44Speaker 3: overnight to make sure no one stole her shit. And
- 55:48Speaker 3: what he claims is that at one point, Eric Erlinson
- 55:52Speaker 3: shows up, walks into the apartment, is there for about
- 55:56Speaker 3: thirty minutes, and then leaves. The next morning, Paul Ericson
- 56:01Speaker 3: finds Kristen Faff dead of a heroin overdose in her bathtub.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Oh shit, Jesus Christ.
- 56:10Speaker 3: Which that Why has that not been investigating?
- 56:15Speaker 5: I never heard that. I've never heard that part of
- 56:18Speaker 5: the story. So it sounds to me like Eric is
- 56:21Speaker 5: Courtney's handler. Eric is like Courtney's ran on the ground.
- 56:25Speaker 2: She's gonna like, hey, you're a fine guitar player, but
- 56:27Speaker 2: I mean, if you want to roll with me, you
- 56:29Speaker 2: gotta do some dirty work.
- 56:30Speaker 3: But I think he's he's like he's in and this
- 56:33Speaker 3: is a huge book. We didn't cover everything, but yeah,
- 56:36Speaker 3: that's kind of the implication is that he's part of it.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that Paulson is part of it.
- 56:41Speaker 5: That yeah guitar player from Hole. Yeah, because if you
- 56:46Speaker 5: remember when all those weird videos of Courtney and Kurt
- 56:49Speaker 5: are going around with Francis Bean, Eric is the one
- 56:52Speaker 5: filming them. Eric is like present in their life. He's
- 56:54Speaker 5: always around.
- 56:56Speaker 4: Oh okay, interesting.
- 56:57Speaker 5: Yeah, So when you watch that montage of heck stuff,
- 57:00Speaker 5: any of that stuff where it's like the two of
- 57:01Speaker 5: them kind of weird and naked with the baby, Eric's
- 57:05Speaker 5: the one in the room filming them. That's not weird
- 57:07Speaker 5: at all.
- 57:07Speaker 4: It's very very strange. That's not good.
- 57:12Speaker 3: So police when they find Kristen Faft, not only do
- 57:16Speaker 3: they find drug paraphernalia and drugs in her apartment, they
- 57:20Speaker 3: also find that several pages from her journal have been removed.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Holy shit, Oh my god, is she fucking practicing FAF handwriting?
- 57:27Speaker 7: Yeah? Fat handwriting. But that's weird. That's yeah, that's really.
- 57:35Speaker 7: They are so bad at murder, but they keep getting
- 57:37Speaker 7: away with it.
- 57:38Speaker 3: And then the question becomes, well, if they were this
- 57:41Speaker 3: bad at it, why wouldn't they get arrested because they're
- 57:43Speaker 3: in because untouchable there, you can't arrest them.
- 57:48Speaker 4: And we just got a call from the FEDS. It
- 57:50Speaker 4: said stop if you like having a kid that is alive.
- 57:56Speaker 4: They said, that's for everybody.
- 57:57Speaker 5: I just got this. Uh, it's got this weird. It
- 58:00Speaker 5: says there's no one you know we can't get. Says
- 58:04Speaker 5: we know what you did. Says I'm in a black
- 58:07Speaker 5: van right now.
- 58:09Speaker 3: I don't even.
- 58:12Speaker 4: Dude, I feel like this pizza truck is following me around.
- 58:16Speaker 5: So I'm sorry, wait, should we be using our real
- 58:19Speaker 5: names on this? No?
- 58:19Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah, I'm Connor mcspadden, thank you for listening. Yeah,
- 58:24Speaker 3: that doesn't help.
- 58:25Speaker 4: He's still still I'm Alan Todd Bay.
- 58:28Speaker 5: Yeah, and I'm Trevor Kruk and I enjoyed being here.
- 58:33Speaker 3: So the last thing, and this is probably just an
- 58:36Speaker 3: unimportant side note, but the same coroner who immediately ruled
- 58:41Speaker 3: Kurt Cobaine's death Cobaine's death as a suicide immediately ruled
- 58:46Speaker 3: Kristen Faft's death as an accidental overdose and decided there
- 58:51Speaker 3: was no need for further investigation. But I'm sure it
- 58:55Speaker 3: says they only got the one corner.
- 58:57Speaker 5: It's that one corner up there, and he's like, no,
- 58:59Speaker 5: these kids in Heroin every time.
- 59:02Speaker 3: You know, man, it's a weird.
- 59:06Speaker 2: Like this, show me a picture of Eric Earlinson. I
- 59:09Speaker 2: want to see if he looks like Tom Petty. He
- 59:10Speaker 2: looks like a Tom Yeah, he does kind of look
- 59:12Speaker 2: like Tom Petty, but.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Like Tom Petty.
- 59:15Speaker 5: If yeah, looks like this guy looks a ship tone
- 59:19Speaker 5: like Tom Pye.
- 59:20Speaker 4: You know this guy is a murderer.
- 59:22Speaker 5: That's he's got that guy government.
- 59:25Speaker 4: Look at this motherfucker.
- 59:27Speaker 3: That picture looks like he's about to record a YouTube
- 59:30Speaker 3: video about kem trails. Oh yeah.
- 59:32Speaker 5: Also looks like he's Eric Stoltz in the mask trying
- 59:36Speaker 5: to be Tom Petty.
- 59:37Speaker 2: He looks like someone like made a shitty clone of
- 59:39Speaker 2: Beck and they just didn't really.
- 59:43Speaker 5: So that guy's definitely not out there murdering back for
- 59:46Speaker 5: the CIA. Our bet got a little melty and a
- 59:49Speaker 5: little stretchy.
- 59:49Speaker 4: It's a little totally what we were going for the
- 59:52Speaker 4: first pancake of Beck's.
- 59:54Speaker 3: So that's the MK Ultra and Courtney Love conspiracy. Esus Christ.
- 59:59Speaker 3: It's one one of the craziest ones I think we've covered.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: But it's also not not.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: Shock you know, it makes the title of Live Through
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: This even more terrifying, Like it's less of a like,
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: oh what I've endured, it's more of a warning. It's
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: more of I'm coming forward well.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: And don't forget Live Through This was released a week
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: before he died or a week after he died, so
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: that title had been in the works for months, right, right, right,
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: It's not like they just a yeah, the one that
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: came out after he died.
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Yeh ship. Yeah, that's that's some real you know, to
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: die life after death ship.
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, also should be called I Am Not
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: a CIA Operative. I mean that should have been the
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: title of it, called a I C.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: So that's that's that conspiracy Jesus. I find it rather compelling.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: We'll probably cover more stuff from this book. There's but
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: if anyone wants to read it, drugs as a weapon
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: against us, there's some crazy shit, my god, and man,
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Courtney Love is in the CI and then she tries
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: to break into Hollywood. After that, then trying to assassinate
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Jim Carrey, right, and did a pretty good job. Wow,
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: all right, so we should wrap it up. This was
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: a fun episode. Travis thank you for joining us.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: This was really cool and fun to talk about all
- 1:01:23Speaker 5: this crazy ship around.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Fuckjeeus. When we inevitably talk about this again on heart
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: Shape Pod, we'll have to have the loop because that's
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: definitely gonna happen. Connor's and operative and murders all of us.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Oh, this whole time sent me to infiltrate uh up
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: start podcasting operations.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: It makes sense. Frankly, I'd be honored to die that way,
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: like the stooge after.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: You slowly poisoning Tony Hinchcliff and Brian redband.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: Up and coming comedy assassin. Connor mcspaden took me out.
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: What the fucking good?
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Well, so you shouldn't have slept in the U haul.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: That's that's always the mistake. It never helped me move,
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: That's what you've learned. So what do we have to
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: plug before we get out of here?
