- 0:01Many, who take up the practice of yogic sadhna, find that they
- 0:06receive some signs of encouragement either.
- 0:09Prior to starting consciously down the path.
- 0:13Through some kind of experience that opens other dimensions and
- 0:17opportunities for growth in them.
- 0:20Or through some spiritual experiences in the early stages
- 0:24of the sadhna thereafter. It is quite usual for the
- 0:29experiences to recede and the slow steady.
- 0:33Patient work of aspiration, receptivity and dedication to
- 0:39the process takes over. For the Seeker, the peak
- 0:43spiritual experiences are important stages that give
- 0:48confidence and reinforce the needed Faith to continue on the
- 0:52journey. Yet if they become the goal of
- 0:56the seeking or get captured by the vital ego, seeking to assert
- 1:00itself, they actually can be a hindrance.
- 1:05Changing human nature, is not a matter of peak experiences, but
- 1:10a matter of day-to-day effort and receptivity, to let the
- 1:14higher forces work to change. In many cases, quite gradually
- 1:19ones Outlook focus and ways of responding to situations. true
- 1:26progress cannot be measured in terms of these experiences, but
- 1:31when one looks back over a number of years of the process,
- 1:35when can in many cases, see substantial changes to the trend
- 1:40of the being One may become more peaceful with the basic
- 1:45Equanimity, that was not there earlier in life.
- 1:49There may be different values about what is important and
- 1:54they're come about as a result changes in direction of the life
- 1:58effort. One may see dietary and
- 2:01lifestyle changes, as well as changes in the way when reacts
- 2:06to advance in life. All of which show a process of
- 2:11maturity in the yogic sadhna, actually working on the basic
- 2:16interactions of human life. SRI aurobindo observes quote in
- 2:24a more deep and spiritual sense. A concrete realization is that
- 2:29which makes the thing realized more real Dynamic intimately
- 2:34present to the Consciousness than any physical thing.
- 2:38Be such a realization of the personal Divine or of the
- 2:43impersonal, Brahman, or of the self does not usually come at
- 2:49the beginning of a sadhna, or in the first years, or for many
- 2:53years. It comes so to a very few But to
- 2:58expect and demand it. So soon would be taken in the
- 3:02eyes of any experienced Yogi or Sadiq as a rather rash and
- 3:07abnormal impatience. Most would say that a slow
- 3:12development, is the best one can hope for in the first years and
- 3:17only when the nature is ready and fully concentrated towards
- 3:21the Divine can. The definitive experience come
- 3:26To some rapid Preparatory experiences can can come at a
- 3:31comparatively early stage but even they cannot escape the
- 3:36labor of the Consciousness which will make these experiences
- 3:41culminate in the realization that is enduring and complete.
- 3:47It is not a question of liking or disliking, it is a matter of
- 3:52fact and truth and experience. It is the fact that people who
- 3:57are cheerful and ready to go, step-by-step even by slow steps.
