- 0:00Silver, gold and the precious metal mining stocks are in an
- 0:04unbelievable position right now. Unfortunately, that's happening
- 0:09because of the the world. The wheels seem to be falling
- 0:13off the bus of the world. We're going to talk about in
- 0:15this video like 28 reasons why we can be optimistic about the
- 0:20silver and gold price. Big news from Trump.
- 0:23Things are really happening there.
- 0:25We'll talk about that in the latter half of our time
- 0:28together, but we got a bunch of small stories that are big
- 0:32stories that add up to a very, very optimistic future for the
- 0:36price of silver and gold. The thing I'm most optimistic
- 0:39about is the fact that you've decided to join me here today.
- 0:42Thank you for choosing to be here You're important, your time
- 0:46is important. Please subscribe to the channel,
- 0:48give the video a thumbs up. You can read the comments.
- 0:51You can see that everybody doesn't agree with me and that's
- 0:54OK leave a comment in the comment section.
- 0:57But let's talk about silver first, because this is getting
- 1:00very interesting. We know the silver deficit, we
- 1:03know the demand for silver's going through the roof.
- 1:06But what are we hearing from the world's biggest silver producer,
- 1:11the world's biggest silver miner, which will indicate to us
- 1:15that we could be in for even better times in the silver
- 1:18market? Let's take a look at this.
- 1:19I was shocked to hear this. And what we are seeing is from
- 1:24Silver Academy. Silver on the brink.
- 1:26The world's most critical metal faces eminent extinction as
- 1:30mines can't keep up with soaring demand.
- 1:33But here's the interesting part guys, and I'm going to give you
- 1:36the reason why this is so important.
- 1:39The decline in the world's largest silver miner begins.
- 1:44Fresnillo PLC reported 12% decline in first half 2025
- 1:52silver production. Global silver mines supply to
- 1:55continue declining in the years ahead.
- 1:58And that's from Stephen Saint Angelo.
- 2:00And as you can see on this chart right here, which shows the
- 2:04first half of 2021-2022, 2023-2024, and then 2025 fell
- 2:13off a Cliff. This is the world's biggest
- 2:19silver miner, the world. There's nobody that makes more
- 2:22silver than Fresnio. Their output is going down, not
- 2:27staying level, going down. We already know that there
- 2:31happens to be a a physical silver deficit.
- 2:34There has been for like the last five years.
- 2:37What does that tell us? Right.
- 2:39There's a reason why we're not, I say, excited.
- 2:42We're just talking about the facts that when the world's
- 2:44biggest silver miner reports a massive decrease in production,
- 2:48that bodes well for the the demand is going to keep going
- 2:51up. The supply is going to keep
- 2:53going down. OK, let's move on here in the
- 2:56silver shorts are still high. We're going to go out to Arcadia
- 3:01Economics. Our good friend Chris Marcus.
- 3:05I did a screenshot of this one day.
- 3:07This was in his. He has a sub stack that you can
- 3:10subscribe to. One final note is that the
- 3:12silver short position held by the banks actually did decrease
- 3:16last week by 693 contracts over the past reporting week.
- 3:22Remember, big short position could lead to a big short
- 3:26squeeze to a net short position of 48,707 contracts, which is
- 3:32not far off from the all time record and means that the short
- 3:36position is still on the high side right now.
- 3:40So these big bullion banks, these big players out there in
- 3:44the world of silver, the paper, the Comex in the LBMA, the
- 3:48London Bullion Market Association in London, England,
- 3:52who has suppressed the price of silver for decades and decades,
- 3:55they still have a massive short position.
- 3:59What that means is they sold silver, OK, and at some point
- 4:04they're going to need to buy it back to fulfill their contract.
- 4:07That can create a short squeeze. And we still are near
- 4:11historically very high levels when it comes to the short
- 4:15position that those fine people at the electronic and paper
- 4:18exchanges have right now. OK, let's move over.
- 4:22Let's talk about, think about this.
- 4:25Think about this when the generalist investor starts to
- 4:28see all the money that's being made, I mean, the miners are
- 4:32making gobs and gobs of money. Not only is that going to bring
- 4:36the generalist investor into the precious metal mining stocks,
- 4:40but it will also bode well for the actual metals themselves.
- 4:45Excuse me, silver and gold. We're going to take a look at
- 4:49some crazy data. It is crazy we we've not even
- 4:53begun to see the flow of money from the generalist investors
- 4:58into the precious metal sector. And when that happens, it will
- 5:01be crazy if you believe that the price of silver is headed
- 5:05higher. If you love wonderful silver
- 5:07products, check this out. It's a 5 oz silver bar from our
- 5:12channel sponsor First Mint. First Mint is a mint located in
- 5:16Las Vegas, NV, USA. This is made in the USA minted
- 5:21products, but what's interesting is that they're owned by First
- 5:25Majestic Silver, Keith Newmeyer's juggernaut silver
- 5:28mining company. So First Mint gets their silver
- 5:31from First Majestic who mines it in Mexico, sends it to Las Vegas
- 5:37where it's minted into world class silver bullion products.
- 5:41They have beautiful all unique rounds bars.
- 5:45You need to check them out here. We'll run out to their website
- 5:48quickly and see what first meant.
- 5:51What, what are they showing for us right now?
- 5:54That's the Year of the Dragon coin.
- 5:58That's the Buffalo round with the Indian that I absolutely
- 6:01love. There's their new Las Vegas
- 6:04round that I've been showing you guys, and there's their silver
- 6:06bars, firstmeant.com. Great prices, great selection,
- 6:11free shipping on orders over $199, and there's a discount
- 6:16code. I'm going to look you in the eye
- 6:18when we say this VIPRB. That'll get you a little
- 6:22discount as well. Thank you, First Men, for
- 6:24sponsoring Ron Spaceman. But what about these profits
- 6:27being made by the mining companies that are going to
- 6:29bring eyeballs to the entire precious metal sector?
- 6:34Let's run out here and take a look at what we learned from our
- 6:40friend Tavi Costa. There we go.
- 6:45Sorry about that. OK, gold producers, margins
- 6:48updated. We're living through what could
- 6:51be described as the golden age of mining.
- 6:53Yet it's striking to see that many mining stocks still trade
- 6:57as a gold were at $2000 an ounce.
- 7:00And take a look at this chart, guys.
- 7:02OK. The blue line is the cost for
- 7:06the mining companies to get the gold out of the ground.
- 7:09The yellow line is the gold price.
- 7:12Do you see how incredible this is right now?
- 7:15I mean, you know, we kind of we were in this like smaller zone
- 7:19down here of profit. Look at this, look at this
- 7:23profit. That's profit margin.
- 7:25Again, the reason why we want to recognize this is because when
- 7:29the generalist investors come to the mining stocks, they're also
- 7:33likely going to have money flowing into the metals as well.
- 7:38And a lot of you are like me and also own not only metals, but
- 7:41the but the precious metal mining stocks.
- 7:44All right, let's go back out. We're all over the place today,
- 7:47but man, we got some interesting things to look at right now.
- 7:51We're going to talk about just thinking about the gold price.
- 7:56And again, the gold price will have a major, major impact on
- 8:00the silver price. And when we look at the the
- 8:04amount of the price of gold as a ratio to to the US Treasury,
- 8:11gold reserves currently account to a mere 2% of the outstanding
- 8:15government debt. So this chart compares, right,
- 8:18the gold reserves, which is the yellow line down here, OK, this
- 8:25area down here to the US debt, OK, which is the blue line All
- 8:30right, there it is right there. Tells us in the in the and look
- 8:33at how right now, what is it, 2%?
- 8:36Now, the important thing for us to remember on this one is that
- 8:40the only thing that can fix this, think about it.
- 8:43They're not going to bring the blue line down.
- 8:46Again, the blue line is the national debt, OK?
- 8:49The only thing they they can't, it's mathematically impossible.
- 8:52They just aren't going to reduce international debt.
- 8:55It's only going to get bigger. The only thing that fixes this
- 8:58graph is this right here, the yellow line, which again is the
- 9:03value of our gold reserves. Well, there they drew it for us,
- 9:07the red checkered line going up. And as you can see, right,
- 9:11historically gold a lot of times was worth as much or more than
- 9:16the entire national debt. So again, the only thing that
- 9:21fixes this is higher gold price. And we know that a higher gold
- 9:24price is going to mean a a higher silver price as well.
- 9:28What about, let's move over here, what about the amount of
- 9:33money that the Western investors have in gold?
- 9:38We know again for with both gold and silver and there is some,
- 9:42there are signs of improvement in this arena.
- 9:45But when the Western investor comes back, this is a post from
- 9:48Jordan Roy Byrne talking about the implied allocation to gold
- 9:53remains very low. OK.
- 9:55This shows the amount of allocation of gold ET by
- 9:59comparing ETF, the ETF market share of gold ET FS versus the
- 10:04entire ETF asset universe. And as you can see, again, make
- 10:09sure we got you guys on the right screen, which we do.
- 10:12Let's pull out the crayons, OK? That number even as recently as
- 10:182011, gold ET FS accounted for almost 8% of the entire ETF
- 10:24universe. Today, we're not even at 2%.
- 10:29Look here we are right here. There's 2%.
- 10:31We're not even at 2%. If that were to go to 8%, just
- 10:37for example, if my math mathematics are correct, that
- 10:40would be a four times increase in the amount of money that
- 10:45would be inside of the of the gold and silver ETF sector, the
- 10:50gold ETF sector. But again, that would bleed over
- 10:54into the silver price as well and the silver ETF.
- 10:59Hey, I want to say thank you one more time for being here.
- 11:01Seriously, it's a big deal. I always want you to feel
- 11:04welcome and like you found a home away from home here in the
- 11:07basement. One more time.
- 11:08I'll beg you, please. We've got a special going on.
- 11:12Subscriptions. They're free.
- 11:14We never charge anything. How could I charge you to come
- 11:17down here and hang out in the basement with me?
- 11:19Please subscribe to the channel, share and leave a comment.
- 11:22But think about, OK, let's talk about scary.
- 11:26This is bad. That's what the thumbnail for
- 11:28this video said. And it is bad because suddenly
- 11:31the wheels fell off the bus again.
- 11:33We talked about it earlier in the week.
- 11:36Donald Trump is all about volatility.
- 11:39Donald Trump is all about drama. Donald Trump is all about really
- 11:43craziness. And I'm not saying that it is no
- 11:46way a political statement. This is not a political channel.
- 11:50I'm just reporting the news as I see it.
- 11:52But guys, things are getting crazy crazy out there.
- 11:55And when things get crazy, people look for safe havens.
- 11:58And that's the reason why we want to keep a close tab on
- 12:02what's going on, because gold and silver are the safe havens.
- 12:06But let's just talk about some of the craziness that's
- 12:09unfolding right now. Let's go to story #1.
- 12:14All right, here we go. Hold on, a little technical
- 12:22problem. OK, we're back.
- 12:23Hopefully you guys can you see me and hear me?
- 12:26I don't know, looks like we're having some issues here.
- 12:29Hello. OK, hopefully you guys can see
- 12:32me and hear me. I'll just keep going here.
- 12:35This is from the Kobe C letter yesterday.
- 12:36You know, we had the jobs numbers yesterday that were way
- 12:40lower than expectations. And then this crazy revision of
- 12:44250 they wrote down, they reduced the number of jobs that
- 12:49they had reported in the previous two months by over 1/4
- 12:52of a million jobs. Unbelievable, unbelievable.
- 12:56And then you can't make this up. The Kobe C letter says Trump
- 13:00literally just fired the person who revised the job numbers down
- 13:04by 258,000. And he's questioning if the July
- 13:07numbers are real. Calling the 7th 73,000 jobs
- 13:11number a shock, only to conclude by saying that Jerome Powell
- 13:16should be put out the pasture. Oh, I'm tempted.
- 13:18I can't. I'll let you guys read this on
- 13:21your own. The stuff that is going on in
- 13:23Washington DC between the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, between
- 13:28the President and the Fed is truly unprecedented.
- 13:32I mean, it is really, really a crazy situation here.
- 13:36Let's go out and see what 0 Hedge had to say about this.
- 13:41No one can be that wrong. Quote UN quote.
- 13:43Trump fires Labor Statistics boss after rigged jobs data.
- 13:47Now, what's interesting here is that Trump keeps pressuring
- 13:51Powell the lower rates. And one of the things that
- 13:55Powell would need to see the lower rates would be a weaker
- 13:58job market. But Trump's kind of between a
- 14:00rock and a hard place because if there's a weaker job market that
- 14:03makes his economy look, quote UN quote, not strong, but it gives
- 14:08it gives Powell more of a solid platform from which to lower
- 14:12rates. It is it is absolutely nutty,
- 14:15guys. It is insane what is going on
- 14:18right now. And I want to remind you of
- 14:20something very important. It's important that we take deep
- 14:23breaths as we observe all this, but realize the most important
- 14:27thing, which is that the net effect, when you distill all of
- 14:31this craziness down, what it means is a weaker dollar in real
- 14:36terms going forward, no matter how you slice it or dice it,
- 14:41right? No matter what angle you look at
- 14:43it, when we look around the corner, right?
- 14:46Cuz that's what we do. You've got, you know, you've got
- 14:48a good head on your shoulders. It's a known fact that US
- 14:50basement dwellers, we have a little more, let's say
- 14:53intellectual horsepower than the average bear.
- 14:56But none the less, when we look around the corner, what we see
- 14:59coming is a weaker dollar in real terms.
- 15:03It can get very confusing trying to look at all this.
- 15:05We got more Trump drama to look at.
- 15:07But before we do that, I do want to say thank you to channel
- 15:10sponsor First Mining Gold. They sponsor the gold and silver
- 15:13Ron's basement content. They are a gold mining company
- 15:17development stage OK with two big massive projects in Canada.
- 15:22They're working through the permitting and the exploration
- 15:25process. The Du Parquet project, which is
- 15:29in Quebec, in the Spring Pool project, which is in Ontario,
- 15:33both of which have multi million ounce deposits in the ground,
- 15:36have been drilled to find all that wonderful stuff.
- 15:39They also have another project called the Cameron project,
- 15:41which also has hundreds of thousands approaching 1,000,000
- 15:45ounces of gold resource in the ground.
- 15:48It's stock that I've owned. Oh, I got to throw in my
- 15:50disclaimer. I am not a financial advisor,
- 15:53don't make any kind of financial decisions based on anything that
- 15:56I say. I'm just a guy in his basement
- 15:58who happens to have a very strong vision about the future
- 16:02of gold and silver and precious metal mining stocks, but I'm not
- 16:06an official financial advisor. OK?
- 16:08If you want to learn more about First Mining Gold, you can go to
- 16:11their website, firstmininggold.com, and you can
- 16:14even reach out to their Director of Investor Relations, Mr.
- 16:18paul.morrispaul@firstmininggold.com. But what else is Trump up to?
- 16:23Well, let's just go take a look. Here we go.
- 16:28This came out. Metals and miners here.
- 16:30President Trump, the latest. Hold on.
- 16:35There we go. Yep.
- 16:37President Trump demands that the Federal Reserve Board wrest
- 16:41control of the central bank from Fed Chair Powell.
- 16:45He fires the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics and on the
- 16:48same day starts to encourage a basically, I don't know, well, a
- 16:54revolt at the Fed that the, that the Fed board take away and
- 16:58basically fire Jerome Powell. I mean, it's becoming it.
- 17:03Everything was like real smooth sailing for like 3 or 4 weeks
- 17:07and then suddenly one day, oh, and what happened, man, I
- 17:09forgot. I apologize.
- 17:10Basement dwellers, what happened as the wheels fell off yesterday
- 17:14is this. Let's go take a look.
- 17:17We'll go out to CNBC and this is what happened.
- 17:21Oh my God, I didn't realize it was that crazy.
- 17:24Gold yesterday was up $67 in the futures market, 3416 dollars.
- 17:33Wow. And silver up $0.40.
- 17:36I knew they were up big. I didn't realize they were up
- 17:38that big. So that's why we're paying
- 17:40attention to what's going on in Washington DC and with Trump
- 17:44here. Here's a Trump headline.
- 17:47No, we're not even talking about the tariffs, right?
- 17:50We've got that whole situation. Oh, sorry, I know I don't, but
- 17:54we'll talk about that in the future live stream.
- 17:56But we got the Fed keep firing the Fed head firing the head of
- 18:00the BLS, the head of the feds not been fired.
- 18:03We got the tariff situation. Oh, here to make it even more
- 18:06interesting and and scary, I might add.
- 18:12Here we go. Trump deploys A2 nuclear Subs
- 18:17after Med Medvedev's foolish inflammatory statement.
- 18:22So I guess the Russian defence minister said some stuff last
- 18:27week. So now we have 2 nuclear
- 18:29submarines moving into I guess what you might call defensive or
- 18:34offensive posture around Russia. Just nuclear submarines.
- 18:38On a serious note, of course we don't ever want war and we
- 18:41certainly don't want to think about nuclear war.
- 18:44But but this but this headline read what it will man are you
- 18:51feeling exhausted? I mean it is just absolutely
- 18:53crazy. Finally with Trump will do one
- 18:55more. This is a OK this believe came
- 18:58from the Arcadia economics earlier or later last week.
- 19:02But Trump said this all right we he wants a weak dollar OK guys
- 19:07he wants to run up the debt. Don't let whatever that whatever
- 19:10they're saying he wants a weak dollar and to run up the debt.
- 19:13Trump said a strong dollar sounds good, but you make a hell
- 19:15of a lot more with a weaker one. Second paragraph here.
- 19:20So when we have a strong dollar, one things hat, one thing
- 19:23happens. It sounds good, but you don't do
- 19:25any tourism. You can't sell tractors, you
- 19:28can't sell trucks, you can't sell anything, Trump said at a
- 19:31white at the White House before leaving on his trip to Scotland.
- 19:35OK, we've got craziness going on and we have a weak dollar.
- 19:39And what that means for you and me as a precious metal investor
- 19:45is if we price this stuff right, silver like this 5 oz silver bar
- 19:50from first met, right? If we, if we price it in U.S.
- 19:53dollars as we go down, I'm not talking months, quarters, years,
- 19:58I'm talking decades. My belief, right?
- 20:01The value of this, if we decide to use it, the US dollar is the
- 20:06unit of measure to value. It will go up in dollar terms.
- 20:10But another important thing for you to remember?
- 20:13Very critical, right? And it's a hard concept, but I
- 20:16know you can do it 'cause you're smart.
- 20:18Is that we don't want to think of this is, is this well,
- 20:22probably worth, what, about $180?
- 20:24A 5 oz silver bar? Is it $180 or is it 5 ounces of
- 20:29silver? Think of your metals in terms of
- 20:32Oz, OK? Because these oz were around for
- 20:36thousands of years before this thing came on the scene.
- 20:41There it is, the paper dollar, right?
- 20:44The Fiat dollar. Think of our metals in terms of
- 20:47Oz. And that's a real pure,
- 20:50wholesome way to think about it in a, in a, in a more of a
- 20:53timeless way, because this right now, this is fresh silver, as I
- 20:58told you, out of the ground in Mexico.
- 21:00But silver has been around for hundreds and hundreds of Fiat
- 21:04paper money systems that have come and that have gone things
- 21:09are bad. This I just want to end with
- 21:10this, OK? I know it seems like everything
- 21:13thing is hunky Dory. I heard people say, oh, I go out
- 21:16on the street, people are at restaurants and I agree 100%,
- 21:20right? Things on the surface look very
- 21:22good in the US economy. But let me give you an example,
- 21:26an analogy. If my financial if I came to you
- 21:29as a friend, I'm coming to you right now as a friend, OK?
- 21:32And I told you my financial situation was one in which I
- 21:35own. I owed $500,000 on this
- 21:39beautiful house I get to live in 500 grand in mortgage debt.
- 21:43I've got 80 grand in car debt. I've got 100 grand in student
- 21:47debt. I've got, I don't know, another
- 21:5050 grand and buy now pay later. I got another 100 grand in in
- 21:54home equity line of credit. I got like 8-9 hundred, $1000 in
- 21:58debt and I make about let's say 90K per year, all right.
- 22:03But on the surface everything's great.
- 22:05We got a like a six month old Chevy Tahoe in the in the
- 22:10garage. We got a beautiful Honda Odyssey
- 22:12minivan. We're going on vacation.
- 22:15We're doing great. We're doing great.
- 22:16You'd say, yeah, maybe you are doing great on the surface, but
- 22:20when you peel back the hood and look under the hood, Ron, you're
- 22:24not doing great. You can barely afford to pay the
- 22:27interest payment on the debt that you own, and you keep
- 22:30piling up more and more debt. That is exactly what our country
- 22:34is doing. So on the surface, and by the
- 22:36way, that's not my financial situation, thankfully, but on
- 22:40the surface, I would look, oh, I'm doing great.
- 22:42I'm a great dad, a great father. We're doing wonderful.
- 22:45But the reality would be something much different.
- 22:48And I don't like to have to say that this either, but that's
- 22:52what's going on with this country.
- 22:54Look, I was born here. I love this country, I love the
- 22:57United States of America. I hate what our previous
- 23:01leadership has done to put you and me, if you are joining from
- 23:04America in this horrible situation in which we find
- 23:08ourselves now. It is very despicable.
- 23:11So as we think about silver and gold, the reason I told I told
- 23:15you that example is we think about silver and gold in terms
- 23:18of the next decade. Guys, look, look, unless there's
- 23:24some miracle that occurs, there ain't no way that the dollar can
- 23:28do anything but continue to dilute, continue to devalue,
- 23:33continue to be worthless. I'm not saying it's going to be
- 23:36worthless. I'm not one of these.
- 23:38Oh, you need to be ready with your silver because of the
- 23:41zombie apocalypse and you're only going to be able to buy
- 23:43food. No, maybe that'll happen.
- 23:46Not saying it won't, and I'm not casting any shade on people that
- 23:50do, but most realistically, very realistically, we're going to be
- 23:55in a situation where the US dollar continues to buy less.
- 23:58I'm not even going to go down the China, India, Russia Rd. but
- 24:01I will briefly, right? We're in a situation now we're
- 24:04the world. Compared to that, we're very
- 24:06similar to the 1970s, except for two big things.
- 24:11And there's two big reasons why we want to pay attention to this
- 24:14reason #1 as I just described it nauseam, the US financial
- 24:19situation, the amount of debt that we have is way worse now
- 24:23than it was in the 70s. And reason #2 the world has
- 24:26changed. In the 1970's, the Chinese
- 24:30economy, the Indian economy, and even the Russian economy was
- 24:34nothing like it is now. But the world has changed.
- 24:39Asia is taking over the, the, the, the, the, the pricing
- 24:44mechanism of the metals. I mean, we are in a perfect
- 24:47storm where I think I could be wrong.
- 24:50I'm not a financial advisor. Trust your financial advisor.
- 24:53They have fancy TV commercials and they're always looking out
- 24:56for your best interest. But nonetheless, I think that
- 25:00the future for silver and gold look better than ever before.
- 25:03And heck, like we talked about earlier, the world's biggest
- 25:06silver miner and productions going down.
- 25:09Hey, thank you for being here. You are special, you are unique.
- 25:13Don't forget that. You're always welcome to join me
- 25:15here in the basement. I'm going to look forward to
- 25:17seeing you next time. Have a great day and we will see
- 25:20you soon. Don't forget subscribe and
- 25:23comment and.
