- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice Shooters. It's no welcome you to the Naughty but
- 0:16Speaker 1: Night'm host Shooter and it's fry Day, which means one
- 0:19Speaker 1: of our favorite people, Corey Andrew joins us, Hey, Corey,
- 0:23Speaker 1: are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 2: You know I'm here, honey with bells on.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yes. I love your energy and talking about loving you.
- 0:33Speaker 1: You have another fan in the Shooter Sussman household. Am
- 0:37Speaker 1: I allowed to give a little tease, a little previews.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Of course. Earlier this week, Corey interviewed Bruce, my husband, Bruce,
- 0:46Speaker 1: about his career. He's brilliant musical harmony and so Corey
- 0:50Speaker 1: has his own podcast. We've spoken about it, Motivational Mondus.
- 0:54Speaker 1: It's fabulous and also too. If you didn't know, Corey
- 0:58Speaker 1: writes for a website called Instinctmagazine dot com. And that's
- 1:02Speaker 1: actually how I first met Corey. I was a fan
- 1:05Speaker 1: of your work. I used to read your stories on
- 1:08Speaker 1: Instinct and they always stood out that there's lots of
- 1:11Speaker 1: the good stories and I'm not putting down at any
- 1:13Speaker 1: other writers here, but yours were just a little bit extra,
- 1:16Speaker 1: just a little bit smarter, a little bit more sparkly,
- 1:19Speaker 1: and I used to read them. I was like, I've
- 1:20Speaker 1: got to meet this guy. And I was with Misty
- 1:22Speaker 1: and I was like, do you know this Corey? I
- 1:24Speaker 1: was like no, and then I was like, oh, let's
- 1:26Speaker 1: have a Google and we looked you up and I
- 1:28Speaker 1: saw this fabulous, big boufont and this huge smile. I said, mister,
- 1:33Speaker 1: even if he wasn't a good writer, we have to
- 1:34Speaker 1: be friends with him. And so we met. We met
- 1:38Speaker 1: years ago at Bartino's and we've been friends ever since.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And now it's a full Cirtle moment. Bruce is going
- 1:44Speaker 1: to be on Instinct magazine. How did the interview go?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Oh, it went wonderfully, and we talked about not just
- 1:50Speaker 2: the musical itself, but more so about the importance of
- 1:54Speaker 2: the musical and its theme in this very troubling time
- 1:57Speaker 2: that we're in, with the rise of anti semit, which
- 2:00Speaker 2: is a very important message that we have to talk about.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So it was a very informed interview and I was
- 2:05Speaker 2: thankful their Bruce took the time during a holidays.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Season to talk to him. Well, you're so sweet, Thank you,
- 2:10Speaker 1: Thank you my friend. Okay, let's jump into the show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: What time is it, my friends? It is tea time
- 2:15Speaker 1: now during this holiday week, I've been trying to do
- 2:17Speaker 1: really positive stories. I want to be happy, but this
- 2:20Speaker 1: story is blowing up. It's the biggest story of the day.
- 2:22Speaker 1: We have to cover it. Share has filed for a
- 2:24Speaker 1: conservatorship of her son, Elijah Blue, claiming drug abuse. So
- 2:29Speaker 1: she filed for the conservatorship of her son, claiming he
- 2:32Speaker 1: was unable to care for himself due to her massive,
- 2:36Speaker 1: a massive drug addiction. The development comes after rumours sworld
- 2:40Speaker 1: that she tried to kidnap her son. That's right, kidnap
- 2:43Speaker 1: her son in an attempt to save him. Share saying
- 2:46Speaker 1: absolutely know that is not true. Although I've looked at
- 2:49Speaker 1: the new legal documents, and Share is filing to be
- 2:52Speaker 1: the sole conservator of her son's estate, claiming that a
- 2:57Speaker 1: conservator of the state is needed because Elijah is quote
- 3:03Speaker 1: substantially unable to manage his own financial resources. So she's
- 3:10Speaker 1: taking this very, very seriously. The illegal documents go on
- 3:14Speaker 1: to say the Share has been unable to discuss with
- 3:17Speaker 1: Elijah his preferences concerning the appointment of a temporary conservator.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So it sounds here as if Chaer wanted to talk
- 3:26Speaker 1: to Elijah. Things are really bad in his life at
- 3:28Speaker 1: the moment. It seems, and so he needs some help.
- 3:31Speaker 1: There's no shame in needing some help. Share thinks he
- 3:33Speaker 1: needs some help and he doesn't need to be her,
- 3:35Speaker 1: Share saying I don't need to take over your your
- 3:38Speaker 1: estate here. Do you have somebody else? Is there a
- 3:40Speaker 1: business manager or is there a friend? Is there is
- 3:42Speaker 1: there anyone that we can trust to do this just
- 3:44Speaker 1: while you're going through such a dark period. He was
- 3:47Speaker 1: unable to form or express a preference regarding the appointment
- 3:52Speaker 1: of a conservatur So Chaer has stepped up. She never
- 3:55Speaker 1: steps down, and she stepped up and said I will
- 3:58Speaker 1: do it now. What is very con discerning about this
- 4:01Speaker 1: is that Elijah is in the midst of a very
- 4:05Speaker 1: ugly divorce and his wife previously accused Share of trying
- 4:09Speaker 1: to kidnap her son. So that's where the kidnapping rumor
- 4:13Speaker 1: came from. It was actually Elijah's wife going from an
- 4:16Speaker 1: ugly divorce. Chare wants to step in. This is very,
- 4:20Speaker 1: very complicated. There's definitely some feelings of Britney Spears here.
- 4:24Speaker 1: We didn't like that Conserve a tour ship. Obviously the
- 4:28Speaker 1: guy needs help. Share I think is a good person.
- 4:32Speaker 1: She's no Britney spears his father. She's a very smart,
- 4:35Speaker 1: very good person. But what do you think about all this, Corey.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It's complicated.
- 4:38Speaker 2: It is very complicated, and I think anyone who's gone
- 4:41Speaker 2: through this, who has a family member who has been addicted,
- 4:45Speaker 2: will typically know that you will try to do anything
- 4:48Speaker 2: you can to get that person off drugs and on
- 4:51Speaker 2: those street and narrow. So the term kidnapping maybe utilized
- 4:55Speaker 2: very loosely here by Elijah's ex wife, because you it's
- 4:58Speaker 2: probably an intervention more likely what she was trying to achieve,
- 5:02Speaker 2: which is where you have to sort of really capture
- 5:05Speaker 2: the person and sit them down and have people talk
- 5:07Speaker 2: to them to try to get their live straight. So
- 5:09Speaker 2: I don't know if kidnapping is the right term, but
- 5:12Speaker 2: I think it's sad though, Rob that Share is like
- 5:14Speaker 2: breaking records at seventy seven years old with this amazing music,
- 5:18Speaker 2: and I think addiction is so terrible in this way
- 5:21Speaker 2: that here she is unable to enjoy this remarkable time
- 5:25Speaker 2: in her career.
- 5:26Speaker 1: At seventy seven, because she's believable. She's back on the
- 5:29Speaker 1: chart after twenty years, She's back on the charts, and
- 5:32Speaker 1: she yeah number one single her Christmas song and so
- 5:36Speaker 1: Share doesn't want this out there. Share doesn't want to
- 5:38Speaker 1: have to deal with this. But it's that bad. I
- 5:40Speaker 1: spoke to some friends of Shares and they told me
- 5:42Speaker 1: it's really bad. She's frightened he could die. And the
- 5:44Speaker 1: reason that she's going for the conservatorship is it's the
- 5:47Speaker 1: only way she believes she will be able to help.
- 5:51Speaker 1: It's way past having an intervention, and it's way past
- 5:54Speaker 1: having friends in around. And in the documents that I read,
- 5:57Speaker 1: it actually said the following. It was so interesting. Share
- 6:00Speaker 1: is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah. So any
- 6:05Speaker 1: money she gives Elijah, she's very rich, she could send
- 6:07Speaker 1: him a check, She's concerned that all that money will
- 6:10Speaker 1: immediately be spent on drugs, leaving him with no money
- 6:15Speaker 1: for himself and putting his life at risk. So what
- 6:18Speaker 1: I think Share is thinking here is that if you
- 6:21Speaker 1: cut off the money, you might be able to cut
- 6:23Speaker 1: off the drugs. Because drugs aren't free, they're very, very,
- 6:27Speaker 1: very very expensive. Now people do crazy things to get
- 6:32Speaker 1: hold of these drugs. It's so so big here. And
- 6:36Speaker 1: the thing that I find so interesting is if this
- 6:39Speaker 1: could happen to Share, this could happen to anybody shares
- 6:42Speaker 1: all the resources in the world. Those kids went to
- 6:46Speaker 1: their best schools. Now having her as a mom might
- 6:49Speaker 1: have been difficult, but you know what, it's difficult being
- 6:51Speaker 1: a mom whoever you are. You don't need to sell
- 6:54Speaker 1: a hundred million records for it to be difficult. And
- 6:57Speaker 1: so I don't want to fall in the cliche here
- 6:59Speaker 1: of having a famous parent makes your life terrible. There's
- 7:02Speaker 1: lots of really well adjusted people who have very famous parents.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Look at Meryl Street, Diana Ross's kids. Yeah. Absolutely, this
- 7:11Speaker 1: must be just devastating. I'm told that this was the
- 7:15Speaker 1: last resort. She didn't want to do it, she feels
- 7:18Speaker 1: like she has to do it. Basically, she's been supporting
- 7:21Speaker 1: him his whole life. Let's be honest here. He hasn't
- 7:23Speaker 1: had much of a career. He certainly hasn't made the
- 7:26Speaker 1: money to live the way that the way that he does,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and I think going through the divorce, the estranged wife
- 7:32Speaker 1: is probably angry. Throwing out terms like kidnapping is not helpful.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But we want to know what you think about this.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Share has filed for a conservat tourship after everything that's
- 7:42Speaker 1: happened with Britney and her dad, it's been in the news.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We all know now what a conserver a torship is.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So she's so share has filed for one of her son,
- 7:52Speaker 1: Elijah Blue. Our question is a tough one. Is this
- 7:55Speaker 1: Britney Spears Part two? What do you think is this
- 7:58Speaker 1: Britney Spears Part two? Writteny? It's complicated, so many elements,
- 8:04Speaker 1: but I want to know what you think. Go vote
- 8:07Speaker 1: on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice well back Facebook
- 8:10Speaker 1: pages Naughty Gossip. I am be sure to check back
- 8:13Speaker 1: in the new year. I can say that for your ads.
- 8:17Speaker 1: What are you working on, Corey? Yes?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Well, Meghan McCain, Meghan McCain. She has said that she
- 8:23Speaker 2: wants the View co hosts that she used to work with,
- 8:25Speaker 2: of course, to move on from mentioning her name. She
- 8:29Speaker 2: calls them crazy old people actually, which is Megan not
- 8:33Speaker 2: very nice. But Megan McCain wants her former co host
- 8:35Speaker 2: at the View to move on from mentioning her. But
- 8:38Speaker 2: you know she had a few dishes for them before.
- 8:41Speaker 2: She wants to move on completely. So she appeared on
- 8:43Speaker 2: the daytime talk show as a resident Conservative. She's she
- 8:46Speaker 2: was the resident Conservative. They always have one, of course.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I think Elizabeth Hasselback was the one previously who I
- 8:53Speaker 2: actually kind of liked. Most people would be surprised to learn, but.
- 8:57Speaker 1: She actually, you know, she she.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Had less than fond memories, she says about her counterparts
- 9:03Speaker 2: on the View. Now, the thing about the View is
- 9:05Speaker 2: that this is what this is, what Megan says. The
- 9:08Speaker 2: thing about the View is that I didn't know when
- 9:10Speaker 2: I signed my contract with ABC that this is for forever,
- 9:13Speaker 2: that the rest of my life I'm going to be bullied,
- 9:16Speaker 2: yelled at, abused, and brought up for years. That's what
- 9:19Speaker 2: thirty nine year old McCain has expressed, and she says,
- 9:22Speaker 2: I haven't been on the show in years. I'm just
- 9:24Speaker 2: trying to live my life. But the political commentator and
- 9:27Speaker 2: daughter of the late Senator John McCain added that she
- 9:30Speaker 2: did not know when she agreed to do the show
- 9:32Speaker 2: that she would have to deal with these quote crazy
- 9:35Speaker 2: old people just yelling at me all the time. She says,
- 9:38Speaker 2: I go whole swaths of time without thinking about them,
- 9:41Speaker 2: whole months without thinking about that show or anything. She continued,
- 9:45Speaker 2: but apparently I'm just on their minds every day, and
- 9:48Speaker 2: it's pathetic. Now she's referencing apparently sometimes on the View,
- 9:53Speaker 2: they bring her name up. They all mentioned her in
- 9:55Speaker 2: reference to certain situations, and as I've mentioned, Elizabeth hassle Back.
- 9:58Speaker 2: You know, Elizabeth was really some people would say too,
- 10:02Speaker 2: but I love that she did stand her ground. That's
- 10:04Speaker 2: a very difficult place to be on a show like
- 10:06Speaker 2: The View, where like four of the hosts are sort
- 10:09Speaker 2: of aligned with their ideology and you're the odd man out.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And so I just don't think Elizabeth handled I mean,
- 10:16Speaker 2: I don't think Megan handled it well because I think
- 10:18Speaker 2: that she's thin skinned. Elizabeth was great with standing up
- 10:22Speaker 2: to those girls and telling her position, whether it be
- 10:24Speaker 2: conservative or not. I think Megan was just too thin skin,
- 10:28Speaker 2: That's my opinion. So yeah, she's she's coming at them,
- 10:30Speaker 2: and she's like threatening like legal action if they don't
- 10:33Speaker 2: stop talking about her, which is probably kind of petty
- 10:35Speaker 2: and silly.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I'm with you on this, Cory. I
- 10:39Speaker 1: think we agree on this, and I think actually you
- 10:40Speaker 1: just got to the bottom of it. What the problem
- 10:42Speaker 1: is here is that Megan hadn't really done much before
- 10:45Speaker 1: The View really turned her into a media star, and
- 10:48Speaker 1: so she was very naive and she hadn't built up
- 10:50Speaker 1: that thick skin. You need to be performing at that
- 10:53Speaker 1: level of the game. It is naive to think you're
- 10:56Speaker 1: going to be a host of a show like The View,
- 10:58Speaker 1: the number one daytime talk show, and it's just going
- 11:00Speaker 1: to end when you end. No, you will always be
- 11:02Speaker 1: the person from the View for the rest of your life.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It's like if you're a real housewife Jills Aarron, it
- 11:08Speaker 1: doesn't matter what she does, she could cure cancer, She's
- 11:10Speaker 1: always going to be a real housewife. Bethany has tried
- 11:12Speaker 1: so hard to move on from Housewives. She's always going
- 11:15Speaker 1: to be a real housewife. So when you go into
- 11:18Speaker 1: something like that, a show like that, a job like that,
- 11:21Speaker 1: that's going to define you forever. I thought about it.
- 11:24Speaker 1: When I've been given opportunities, offered opportunities, some things I
- 11:27Speaker 1: just are too big for me. I don't want it
- 11:29Speaker 1: to take over my life. I've turned down stuff that
- 11:32Speaker 1: would surprise people just because I just don't want that
- 11:35Speaker 1: to be my life. But I'm not naive. I don't
- 11:37Speaker 1: pretend it won't be. It absolutely will be. If I
- 11:39Speaker 1: become the host, if I Replacedandy Cohen on Watch What
- 11:42Speaker 1: Happens Live, then I will for the rest of my life,
- 11:45Speaker 1: be the guy that replaced Dandy Kellen Right. If I
- 11:47Speaker 1: succeed or fail, it doesn't matter. I will always be
- 11:49Speaker 1: the guy that took over his show. And so it
- 11:52Speaker 1: is very complicated here, Meghan, But I would argue that
- 11:55Speaker 1: at least for me, it feels like Meghan that is
- 11:59Speaker 1: talking about these ladies more than they are talking.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I mean, and you're the one, and you can't stop
- 12:05Speaker 1: talking about this view. And I also have to add quickly,
- 12:10Speaker 1: when you resort to a personal insult at someone's age
- 12:14Speaker 1: or how they look, then you lose. Like calling people
- 12:17Speaker 1: old and crazy, that doesn't make them look old and crazy,
- 12:21Speaker 1: it makes you look silly. Don't do it. I've had
- 12:24Speaker 1: to learn this lesson when people get under my skin.
- 12:26Speaker 1: It's been so easy to lash out and dismiss them.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They're crazy or they're so stupid, or they're old. No,
- 12:32Speaker 1: they're not rob You just don't agree with what they
- 12:34Speaker 1: are saying. So I think, Megan, make peace with this.
- 12:37Speaker 1: You've made peace with a lot worse. Let me add,
- 12:39Speaker 1: make peace with this. You're always going to be part
- 12:43Speaker 1: of that show. Don't run away from your legacy, because honestly,
- 12:47Speaker 1: Corey is right, your legacy is pretty good. You stood up.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You were the odd person out, and I had such
- 12:53Speaker 1: admiration for you joining that show. Every day. It was
- 12:58Speaker 1: difficult to watch you stand up for your beliefs, most
- 13:01Speaker 1: of which I didn't agree with, but I certainly agree
- 13:03Speaker 1: with your right to be there, and I thought you
- 13:05Speaker 1: did a brilliant job on the view. Honestly, I miss
- 13:07Speaker 1: her a little bit on the view. I don't like
- 13:10Speaker 1: this behavior though. After she's left, they're not talking about
- 13:14Speaker 1: you that much, and if you didn't draw attention to it,
- 13:18Speaker 1: we wouldn't be talking about it at all. Megan, I
- 13:20Speaker 1: think this is more you than them. Okay, moving along.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I love this story. I think it makes me happy
- 13:28Speaker 1: and sad at the same time. So Kate and William
- 13:30Speaker 1: have moved on. They've moved on from Harry and Meghan,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and they're not looking back. So it makes me sad
- 13:35Speaker 1: that the family's over. It's over. They're never ever going
- 13:38Speaker 1: to be back to normal. However, you've got to move
- 13:40Speaker 1: on in life. Whoever side you're on here, put that
- 13:43Speaker 1: put that over there, just for a minute. Think about
- 13:46Speaker 1: people that you just don't get along with. It might
- 13:48Speaker 1: be your fault, it might be there. At some point
- 13:50Speaker 1: you've got to move on and say, Kate and William
- 13:53Speaker 1: have realized this just wasn't meant to be, and now
- 13:56Speaker 1: we're going to focus on the future. We're not going
- 13:57Speaker 1: to look back. And I think that's such a healthy attitude,
- 14:01Speaker 1: particularly for situations that cannot be fixed. They cannot be
- 14:06Speaker 1: fixed inside to say they've had pretty much zero direct
- 14:08Speaker 1: contact apart from some short pleasantries since twenty and nineteen.
- 14:14Speaker 1: I've had to do this with my family members, not
- 14:16Speaker 1: all of them, thank goodness, but there's a few people
- 14:17Speaker 1: in my family that I just had to put to
- 14:19Speaker 1: one side, ye that to admit the truth. We're never
- 14:22Speaker 1: going to be friends, We're never gonna get along. We
- 14:24Speaker 1: don't have to be enemies. And the way that I
- 14:27Speaker 1: achieve that is by moving go. I can move on, Corey,
- 14:30Speaker 1: can you, Corey, Particularly with somebody that you love, somebody
- 14:34Speaker 1: that you love has hurt you, can you move on?
- 14:37Speaker 2: You know I can?
- 14:38Speaker 1: And it's not easy.
- 14:39Speaker 2: But just like anyone else in the world, a relationship
- 14:42Speaker 2: that you have with someone as complicated and family, very
- 14:45Speaker 2: often more than not, will be that one relationship you
- 14:49Speaker 2: have to sometimes move away from. People think you're obligated
- 14:52Speaker 2: because it's blood, but that's actually not an obligation, and
- 14:55Speaker 2: people should realize that your personal health and happiness, mental
- 14:59Speaker 2: wellness that the obligation. Yes, and sometimes family may be
- 15:03Speaker 2: hindering there. So you have to learn to move on.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Absolutely, it can be painful, but I would argue it
- 15:08Speaker 1: can also be essential. Okay, talking of moving on, We're
- 15:11Speaker 1: gonna take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Naughty but Nic Show. I'm the
- 15:17Speaker 1: tute of idea friend Cory Andrew. Hey, Cory, let's get
- 15:19Speaker 1: to the polls. Thank you very much. Last year we
- 15:22Speaker 1: talked about TJ Holmes saying he needs to check out
- 15:25Speaker 1: for about two days after he has an argument with
- 15:28Speaker 1: Amy Roback. That struck me as very immature and it
- 15:31Speaker 1: certainly makes Amy furious. Our question was is this healthy?
- 15:36Speaker 1: Is it healthy to just shut down and let's have
- 15:38Speaker 1: a look.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Oh.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Ninety two percent said no, this is not healthy in
- 15:42Speaker 1: a relationship. I know it when Bruce and I have
- 15:45Speaker 1: a disagreement, even a fight. I have a habit of sulking.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I could suck for a week. I could. I can.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Are you like a fight, though, Corey, you've seen me
- 15:55Speaker 1: have a few little disagreements. I'm a good fighter. I'm
- 15:57Speaker 1: quite witty, and I'm full of energy, so I'm like
- 16:00Speaker 1: a little terry. I'm like another thing and another thing
- 16:05Speaker 1: and another thing. I could go forever, so it depends here.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I can go either way. Corey, What are you like
- 16:12Speaker 1: when you have a disagreement with your handsome fella? Do
- 16:16Speaker 1: you shut down? Do you fight what you do?
- 16:18Speaker 2: No?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Actually, you know?
- 16:19Speaker 2: For me, my biggest problem is that I have to
- 16:21Speaker 2: have the last word. At this point, Joe is like
- 16:25Speaker 2: so over He'll just like, let me have that last
- 16:27Speaker 2: word and he'll go on.
- 16:29Speaker 1: With his life.
- 16:29Speaker 2: And I'm sitting there basically talking to myself at that point,
- 16:31Speaker 2: He's over it. But yeah, I'm like you, I'm witty.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I have to have the quick comeback and the fast response.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I tried to think of a pun, a
- 16:41Speaker 1: play on words. I feel like I'm asking wild. It's ridiculous.
- 16:44Speaker 1: It's so ridiculous. And then I start to enjoy my
- 16:46Speaker 1: own performance and stop, I'm not on the stage. Calm
- 16:50Speaker 1: da here, I agree with the naughties. This is not healthy. Okay,
- 16:53Speaker 1: don't forget to vote on today's poule going to act
- 16:55Speaker 1: a page I had naughty, nice rob a Facebook page
- 16:57Speaker 1: is naughty guilty and be sure I'm gonna say it
- 17:00Speaker 1: again to check back in the new year to hear
- 17:03Speaker 1: your results. Say Okay, now it's time for a num
- 17:08Speaker 1: of the day.
- 17:10Speaker 2: No very sweet little story about Tom Cruise. Actually, so,
- 17:13Speaker 2: Hannah Waddingham. She spent five days on Mission Impossible eight,
- 17:17Speaker 2: that's the new upcoming film. In that sequence, seriess going
- 17:22Speaker 2: so Hannah revealed that she's ready to defend Tom Cruise
- 17:25Speaker 2: against his critics after she completed her work with him
- 17:27Speaker 2: on the new movie. Now she says, I have to
- 17:30Speaker 2: say I have a real problem with anybody that goes
- 17:32Speaker 2: at Tom Cruise. Now. She met him, and she worked
- 17:35Speaker 2: five days intensely, and she says he is, without doubt
- 17:38Speaker 2: one of the most loveliest, encouraging, positive and inspiring human
- 17:42Speaker 2: beings I've ever met. And isn't he gorgeous? Of course
- 17:45Speaker 2: she is, and he's a good looking man. She says,
- 17:47Speaker 2: I have no time for anyone saying anything bad about him.
- 17:50Speaker 2: And while Mission Impossible eight was supposed to open theaters
- 17:53Speaker 2: on June twenty eighth next year, Paramount Pictures, of course
- 17:57Speaker 2: had to delay the film because of the whole writer's
- 17:58Speaker 2: strike that happened, So it's going to be delayed a bit.
- 18:01Speaker 2: But Cruise's last blockbuster Sensasian tap Gun Maverick film that
- 18:05Speaker 2: he did, like, I guess his big last big box
- 18:07Speaker 2: office that's going to be a big smash.
- 18:09Speaker 1: They thought it sort of fell a little bit well,
- 18:14Speaker 1: but still.
- 18:15Speaker 2: It made five hundred and sixty seven million dollars.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Boo hoo. I I like this. I like standing up
- 18:22Speaker 1: for people that have been good to you. Now does
- 18:24Speaker 1: that make them an angel? No. People can be kind
- 18:26Speaker 1: to me and also can be a real stinker. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: get it too, But I do think you have to
- 18:30Speaker 1: tell the story about how people treat you individually you.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I've got a little secret too. I have a friend
- 18:38Speaker 1: who has worked with Tom. I'm not going to tell
- 18:40Speaker 1: you who she is, which is pretty famous, and she
- 18:43Speaker 1: says he's a delight. She said he's on time, he's professional,
- 18:46Speaker 1: he's kind, and she said he might be very different
- 18:49Speaker 1: in his personal life. She doesn't know, she doesn't date him,
- 18:51Speaker 1: she doesn't get for dinner with h. But she said,
- 18:53Speaker 1: as far as work goes, he's absolutely a delight to
- 18:57Speaker 1: work for and he's very generous. Everybody gets a good
- 18:59Speaker 1: sad they always get good working conditions. He wants his
- 19:03Speaker 1: crew to be happy. And so this is not the
- 19:05Speaker 1: first time I've heard this about Tom Cruise. The nicest
- 19:08Speaker 1: of the day, and now we normally dorine naughtiest of
- 19:11Speaker 1: the day. But we're not gonna end the year on naughty.
- 19:13Speaker 1: We're gonna end it on something lovely, Corey, what are
- 19:16Speaker 1: your plans for New Year's even? Can I also ask
- 19:19Speaker 1: when that clock strikes twelve, watch New Year's Resolution?
- 19:24Speaker 2: Oh? I love this well. Actually, we are going to
- 19:26Speaker 2: go to Rye, New York, to a restaurant called raf
- 19:30Speaker 2: Ell Rye that is owned by our dear friend who
- 19:33Speaker 2: was a winner of Chopped a few years ago, and
- 19:36Speaker 2: he's got a lot of wonderful restaurants now with the
- 19:40Speaker 2: family of Rooney Mara, the Marra family, they're co owners
- 19:43Speaker 2: of that.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Right. Yes, we're gonna go.
- 19:46Speaker 2: We're gonna take the you know, get our traveling on
- 19:48Speaker 2: going into Rye. Resolution is amazing. Rab I decided that
- 19:52Speaker 2: next year I am going to focus on my career more,
- 19:57Speaker 2: get better at what I do here with you and
- 19:59Speaker 2: as a co host on shows and as a as
- 20:01Speaker 2: an anchor on television. I'm going to work on my
- 20:03Speaker 2: craft and hopefully twenty twenty four will bring some new opportunities.
- 20:07Speaker 2: That's what I'm going to do.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I think you will be inundated because you're so great.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I'm going to spend New yek e IF with Bruce.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Our friends Alan and Robbie and Evelyn were going to
- 20:20Speaker 1: this little Italian restaurant downtown. It's a fabulous place. We
- 20:24Speaker 1: went there last year. Oh my goodness. Last year we
- 20:26Speaker 1: went for New Year's even. Guess who sat next to us,
- 20:28Speaker 1: Alec Baldwin and Laria. Oh. I could barely concentrate on
- 20:33Speaker 1: my friends because I'm and then on the way out,
- 20:39Speaker 1: he hoofed over a table. Oh, I loved it, and
- 20:42Speaker 1: then hitch here. Alaria just had vegetables. I was so nice.
- 20:49Speaker 1: So we're going to do that on they even years resolution.
- 20:53Speaker 1: It's the same every year. It's to laugh out loud
- 20:55Speaker 1: every single day, laugh out loud every single day. Hey,
- 21:00Speaker 1: let us know what your New Year's resolutions are, naughties.
