- 0:39Speaker 1: Here to guide you through the journey to optimal health
- 0:42Speaker 1: and wellness, Dr. Kelsey Keene.
- 0:46Speaker 2: You know that feeling when you can't sleep night after
- 0:49Speaker 2: night and nothing seems to help? the melatonin, the warm milk,
- 0:54Speaker 2: the just try to relax advice, and then you're still
- 0:58Speaker 2: staring at the ceiling at 2 a.m. I had a
- 1:00Speaker 2: patient like that, chronic insomnia for years. She had tried
- 1:05Speaker 2: everything the regular system had offered her, and then we
- 1:09Speaker 2: adjusted her spine, specifically corrected interference in the upper neck
- 1:13Speaker 2: and mid-back, and within a couple of weeks, she was
- 1:16Speaker 2: sleeping through the night again, full, deep sleep. So how
- 1:20Speaker 2: does moving a bone change someone's ability to sleep? That
- 1:24Speaker 2: in part is what we're talking about today. Welcome to
- 1:28Speaker 2: Max Life Austin. I am glad you're here. I'm your host, Dr.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Kelsey Keene. I'm the owner of Keene Family Chiropractic in
- 1:35Speaker 2: Northwest Austin. Today, we're going after something the mainstream health
- 1:40Speaker 2: system almost never talks about, the deep connectivity of the
- 1:45Speaker 2: human body. Most of what we're told today treats the
- 1:49Speaker 2: body like a machine, a collection of separate parts. If
- 1:52Speaker 2: something's broken and you find that part and then you
- 1:55Speaker 2: fix it. Or more often, they suppress the symptoms in
- 1:59Speaker 2: that broken part. But the body isn't a machine. It's
- 2:02Speaker 2: a living, intelligent, interconnected whole. And when we start to
- 2:08Speaker 2: see how deeply connected everything really is, the whole approach
- 2:13Speaker 2: to health will change. So let's start with some examples
- 2:17Speaker 2: most people never really think about. Your gut and your
- 2:20Speaker 2: brain are in constant conversation. We call it a gut-brain access.
- 2:26Speaker 2: The trillions of bacteria in your gut produce neurotransmitters and
- 2:30Speaker 2: short-chain fatty acids that directly influence your mood, your stress response,
- 2:36Speaker 2: and even your sleep. And when the microbiome is off,
- 2:40Speaker 2: mental health often suffers. And then when we restore it,
- 2:44Speaker 2: mood can lift in ways that surprise people. I saw
- 2:48Speaker 2: this with a patient dealing with depression. I do functional
- 2:53Speaker 2: testing in the office. So we ran a functional stool
- 2:55Speaker 2: test and found significant disrupted microbiome within her. So we
- 3:02Speaker 2: supported her with the right probiotics, increased her fiber so
- 3:07Speaker 2: her body could make those short chain fatty acids that
- 3:11Speaker 2: feed the brain. We saw those depleted in her functional
- 3:14Speaker 2: test as well. And then as her gut environment improved,
- 3:18Speaker 2: what do you know? The depression started to lift. The
- 3:21Speaker 2: gut and the brain were talking the whole time. We
- 3:23Speaker 2: just had to clean up the conversation. So here's another one.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Your immune system and your nervous system are in continuous dialogue.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Chronic stress doesn't just make you feel stressed, it changes
- 3:38Speaker 2: your immune function. It can ramp up inflammation or suppress
- 3:43Speaker 2: the very responses that you need to stay well. The
- 3:46Speaker 2: two systems share chemical messengers. They're not separate departments. Your
- 3:52Speaker 2: heart and your brain are also tightly linked. The heart
- 3:55Speaker 2: has its own network of neurons, sometimes called your heart brain,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and the rhythms of the heart influence emotional regulation and
- 4:04Speaker 2: mental clarity. If you calm your heart, and then the
- 4:08Speaker 2: brain often follows. Agitate the nervous system and the heart
- 4:12Speaker 2: feels it immediately. Even your fascia, that continuous web of
- 4:18Speaker 2: connective tissue that wraps every muscle, organ, and bone is
- 4:21Speaker 2: now understood as a communication network. It transmits mechanical and
- 4:27Speaker 2: chemical signals throughout the body. Tension in one area can
- 4:32Speaker 2: affect function far away. Those are not isolated systems. They
- 4:37Speaker 2: are constantly influencing one another. And at the center of
- 4:41Speaker 2: all this communication is the nervous system. Your central nervous system,
- 4:46Speaker 2: the brain, the spinal cord, and the nerves that branch
- 4:49Speaker 2: out from it is connected to every single system, organ, tissue,
- 4:56Speaker 2: and cell in the body. And there's not one function
- 4:59Speaker 2: that happens without the nervous system being involved and directing it.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Not digestion, not hormone production, not immune response, not sleep,
- 5:09Speaker 2: not mood. There's nothing. Now, here's the part that almost
- 5:13Speaker 2: never gets discussed in a regular medical office. That nervous
- 5:18Speaker 2: system is protected and also potentially interfered with by the
- 5:23Speaker 2: structure of your spine. The vertebrae are designed that surround
- 5:29Speaker 2: and protect that nervous system. They're designed to move and
- 5:31Speaker 2: to protect the the spinal cord, and the nerve roots
- 5:35Speaker 2: that exit between them. And when those vertebrae lose their
- 5:39Speaker 2: proper position, or if they're not moving like they're supposed to,
- 5:43Speaker 2: that's what we term as a subluxation in the spine.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Maybe you've heard me talk about that on shows before.
- 5:51Speaker 2: They can create interference in the very signals that the
- 5:54Speaker 2: body needs to function optimally. It's not just about back pain,
- 5:59Speaker 2: although you can get neck and back pain when you
- 6:02Speaker 2: have subluxations. It's about whether the brain's messages are getting
- 6:07Speaker 2: through cleanly to the rest of the body. I had
- 6:11Speaker 2: another patient with years of chronic digestive problems. They had
- 6:16Speaker 2: been diagnosed with IBS at one point, but it was
- 6:19Speaker 2: just all over the board. And she tried multiple different medications.
- 6:24Speaker 2: She'd been on special diets with only some partial relief,
- 6:28Speaker 2: but it just continued with her. So again, we assessed her,
- 6:32Speaker 2: found areas of subluxation, especially in the low back where
- 6:35Speaker 2: those nerves go to digestive organs and can affect motility
- 6:40Speaker 2: and digestion, absorption. We adjusted her spine where it needed
- 6:44Speaker 2: to be, especially the mid and lower thoracic area that
- 6:48Speaker 2: influence the digestive organs as well as the lumbar spine.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And we put her on a targeted nutrition plan. And
- 6:55Speaker 2: her symptoms dramatically improved. The gut started working the way
- 6:59Speaker 2: that it was designed to again because the nervous system
- 7:03Speaker 2: has to be able to properly control and coordinate digestion.
- 7:07Speaker 2: So when interference is removed and the body is given
- 7:11Speaker 2: the raw materials that it needs, it often it remembers
- 7:14Speaker 2: how to heal because your body was intelligently made and
- 7:18Speaker 2: it knows how to heal. It just needs no interference
- 7:21Speaker 2: to be able to do that. And when all the
- 7:25Speaker 2: things that I teach around the five essentials of health,
- 7:27Speaker 2: especially the chiropractic portion around adjusting the spine to allow
- 7:32Speaker 2: for improved and normal nerve communication and This is how
- 7:37Speaker 2: we address those root causes to remove the interference and
- 7:42Speaker 2: help the body be able to heal like it's supposed to.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And this is where the vitalistic view of health and
- 7:48Speaker 2: the mainstream medical model go in completely different directions. The
- 7:54Speaker 2: vitalistic perspective says the body has an innate intelligence. It
- 7:59Speaker 2: is designed to self-regulate, to adapt and heal. And when
- 8:03Speaker 2: interference is removed and the right conditions are then present,
- 8:09Speaker 2: this is where healing happens. The nervous system is the
- 8:13Speaker 2: primary expression of that intelligence in the body, that God-given intelligence. Now,
- 8:22Speaker 2: that's what I do. The mechanistic model. treats the body
- 8:26Speaker 2: more like a car. This is the conventional medical approach
- 8:30Speaker 2: that many of you have been part of. Something breaks,
- 8:33Speaker 2: you replace the part, or you suppress the warning light.
- 8:38Speaker 2: That approach is brilliant when you have a broken bone,
- 8:42Speaker 2: a heart attack, or you have a severe infection. Great.
- 8:46Speaker 2: They can keep you alive. Emergency and crisis care in
- 8:49Speaker 2: our medical system can be life-saving, and we should be
- 8:53Speaker 2: grateful for that, and I am. But when it comes
- 8:57Speaker 2: to creating actual health, chronic sleep problems, digestive dysfunction, mood issues,
- 9:03Speaker 2: low energy, immune struggles, the mechanistic model is often limited.
- 9:10Speaker 2: It tends to manage symptoms rather than restore the underlying
- 9:13Speaker 2: communication and functioning of the body. And that's why so
- 9:17Speaker 2: many people feel like they're on a merry-go-round of prescriptions
- 9:21Speaker 2: and specialists without ever getting to the root cause. So
- 9:28Speaker 2: what does that mean for you as a listener? It
- 9:30Speaker 2: means that if you've been dealing with chronic issues like sleep,
- 9:36Speaker 2: digestive issues, mood, energy, immune challenges, chronic pain, It may
- 9:42Speaker 2: not be that your body is broken. It may be
- 9:45Speaker 2: that the communication system is under interference or that the
- 9:51Speaker 2: body is missing the raw materials that it needs to
- 9:54Speaker 2: regulate itself. You know, looking at the spine and the
- 9:57Speaker 2: nervous system is not an alternative. to good medical care.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It's addressing a foundational piece that the symptom-based model often overlooks.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Your body was designed with remarkable intelligence. Our job is
- 10:13Speaker 2: to remove interference and support that intelligence, not override it.
- 10:20Speaker 2: So if what I've shared today, if it resonates with you,
- 10:24Speaker 2: I want to invite you to do something about it.
- 10:28Speaker 2: What we do here on Max Life Austin is offer
- 10:31Speaker 2: an opportunity to our listeners to come in and be
- 10:34Speaker 2: evaluated and see if what we do can help improve
- 10:37Speaker 2: your health. And that is an extensive process, especially for
- 10:42Speaker 2: that very first appointment, because we want to get to
- 10:44Speaker 2: know you. We want to understand what your issues are,
- 10:46Speaker 2: and we want to do the necessary testing to know
- 10:49Speaker 2: if what we offer is something that could drastically improve
- 10:53Speaker 2: your health and get to these underlying causes. So for
- 10:58Speaker 2: the first five people who call right now, if you
- 11:03Speaker 2: call right away, you can come in for a new
- 11:05Speaker 2: patient exam that includes all the necessary spinal x-rays. That
- 11:09Speaker 2: is a big part of it. And the exam and
- 11:12Speaker 2: the consult and the computerized testing that we do. And
- 11:15Speaker 2: we're going to do that for just 50% off for
- 11:17Speaker 2: our radio listeners. And that brings the cost of that
- 11:20Speaker 2: first appointment down to just $ 99. 50. So the number to call,
- 11:24Speaker 2: the one you want to know right now is 512-967-1196. 512-967-1196.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And this offer is only for the first five callers.
- 11:29Speaker 2: So if you've been waiting for a sign to finally
- 11:32Speaker 2: get answers about spine and nervous system and all you
- 11:48Speaker 2: have and want to get to the root cause of
- 11:50Speaker 2: what is causing you to feel poorly, you can call
- 11:53Speaker 2: right now 512-967-1196. I want to tell you a little
- 12:00Speaker 2: bit about what that initial appointment, what we look at,
- 12:05Speaker 2: especially the computerized scans that we do that allow us
- 12:09Speaker 2: to find out where there's dysfunction in the nervous system,
- 12:13Speaker 2: because I think this can be really helpful. We know
- 12:18Speaker 2: stress affects how the nervous system performs. And if we
- 12:22Speaker 2: have increased physical, emotional, and biochemical stress, it can trigger
- 12:27Speaker 2: reactions in the spine and the nervous system. And these
- 12:31Speaker 2: stress reactive patterns are are known as vertebral subluxations, and
- 12:36Speaker 2: they can alter how a person adapts to the demands
- 12:40Speaker 2: of their daily lives. And as a chiropractor, we're trained
- 12:43Speaker 2: to identify and manage vertebral subluxations using a drugless and
- 12:49Speaker 2: effective approach to that. So we use something called the
- 12:54Speaker 2: Insight scanning technology, and it's been specifically designed to scan
- 12:59Speaker 2: for those stress reactions within the spine and the nervous system.
- 13:03Speaker 2: And it can be used to examine any age of patients,
- 13:06Speaker 2: including even pregnant women. They don't emit radiation. They're FDA-registered,
- 13:12Speaker 2: Class II medical devices. And in our office, part of
- 13:16Speaker 2: that new patient evaluation is that we use a combination
- 13:22Speaker 2: of the scanning technology with that examination. And there's three
- 13:28Speaker 2: main parts to that. And I want to explain how
- 13:30Speaker 2: this helps us to see where these interferences in the
- 13:33Speaker 2: nervous system are so that we can address those and
- 13:36Speaker 2: get your body communicating and healing like it's supposed to.
- 13:41Speaker 2: The three most commonly used instruments in this testing is
- 13:47Speaker 2: a surface EMG. It's called NeuroCore. And it collects neurological
- 13:52Speaker 2: data from the muscles along the spine and and track
- 13:56Speaker 2: signals that are outside the normal range. So we have
- 13:59Speaker 2: sensors that are gently touched to the skin from the
- 14:03Speaker 2: lower back to the neck region at regular intervals, and
- 14:07Speaker 2: neural activity graphs and reports are created that compare how
- 14:12Speaker 2: postural stress is affecting your spine and the overall energy
- 14:18Speaker 2: of the body. Because if you have a subluxation, And
- 14:22Speaker 2: that's causing abnormal nerve communication to the muscles. This can
- 14:27Speaker 2: cause the muscles to be overreactive and really tight. This
- 14:31Speaker 2: might be the situation if you've had some really chronically
- 14:35Speaker 2: tight areas in your body and massage just, if it helps,
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's short term and just returns back so quickly. And
- 14:42Speaker 2: you're wondering like, what does it take to get this
- 14:44Speaker 2: area to release? Well, it might be about the alignment
- 14:48Speaker 2: of your spine and And these types of tests help
- 14:51Speaker 2: us identify what segments this is coming from so we
- 14:54Speaker 2: can be really specific with your adjustments. We also do
- 14:58Speaker 2: a test that's called the neurothermal. This scanning detects unbalanced
- 15:03Speaker 2: activity in the spinal nerves that regulate your organs and
- 15:07Speaker 2: your glands. So this is looking at the autonomic nervous system.
- 15:11Speaker 2: So we roll it slowly. instrument from the lower back
- 15:16Speaker 2: to the base of the skull, and it's recording a
- 15:19Speaker 2: very finite temperature measurement along the way. And this helps
- 15:23Speaker 2: us to see dysautonomia, where the nervous system is not
- 15:27Speaker 2: communicating with the autonomic nervous system the way that it should,
- 15:30Speaker 2: which results in dysfunction at the ends of those nerves
- 15:34Speaker 2: in the organs and the glands, as well as it
- 15:37Speaker 2: affects the blood vessels as well with their constriction or
- 15:41Speaker 2: their dilation. And so again, this helps us to be
- 15:44Speaker 2: really specific to see where those issues are. Also love
- 15:47Speaker 2: these scans for small children. Our youngest patients are newborns, obviously.
- 15:53Speaker 2: They get chiropractic adjustments very differently than the adults do.
- 15:58Speaker 2: But we can't, you know, get answers from babies about,
- 16:00Speaker 2: you know, where it hurts, right? And it's a little
- 16:03Speaker 2: bit more difficult. So you rely on talking to the
- 16:06Speaker 2: parents and finding out what they have noticed. And we
- 16:09Speaker 2: do these scans. So very painlessly without, you know, putting
- 16:14Speaker 2: anything into the body, we can see where the dysfunction
- 16:17Speaker 2: is coming from and be very specific with those very
- 16:20Speaker 2: gentle adjustments that we give to babies. And then we
- 16:24Speaker 2: also use a NeuroPulse. And this is looking at heart
- 16:27Speaker 2: rate variability. So this scanning uses heart rate, temperature, and
- 16:32Speaker 2: skin conduction to calculate the heart rate variability. Your middle finger,
- 16:39Speaker 2: Your middle finger and hand rest on sensors while you
- 16:43Speaker 2: sit calmly for about three minutes. And the collected data
- 16:46Speaker 2: is used to understand how long-term and acute stress have
- 16:51Speaker 2: affected a person's adaptive reserve in their body. We can
- 16:56Speaker 2: also use a special ear clip or finger sleeve sensor
- 17:00Speaker 2: for doing this kind of test on newborns, infants, or
- 17:04Speaker 2: young children. And then The data from these three tests
- 17:08Speaker 2: is combined to create a neural efficiency index score known
- 17:12Speaker 2: as the core score. And then this will be your
- 17:15Speaker 2: personal stress adaptation score. And it helps track your improvements
- 17:21Speaker 2: also because as we go along addressing these issues with
- 17:25Speaker 2: our patients, these are scans that we're doing routinely along
- 17:28Speaker 2: the way, tracking improvement and changing our approach if we're
- 17:33Speaker 2: not seeing those changes improve like we expect to. And
- 17:36Speaker 2: it provides valuable data for yourself and for me as
- 17:40Speaker 2: a chiropractor to discuss lifestyle changes. If you have a
- 17:43Speaker 2: score closer to 100, it means your nervous system is
- 17:46Speaker 2: managing stress very effectively. So everyone talks about stress, but
- 17:52Speaker 2: you may not know how your body is handling that stress.
- 17:56Speaker 2: And these types of scans not only help us find
- 17:58Speaker 2: those areas of subluxation, be able to help to address
- 18:03Speaker 2: them in the right way and see if we're improving
- 18:05Speaker 2: it as we go along. If what I've shared with
- 18:08Speaker 2: you today, again, if it resonates with you and you
- 18:12Speaker 2: want to come in and get that kind of scanning
- 18:14Speaker 2: done yourself, including any necessary digital x-rays, remember we're doing
- 18:18Speaker 2: this for the first five callers right now for just $ 99. 50.
- 18:22Speaker 2: That's a 50% discount on that first appointment. And that
- 18:26Speaker 2: number to call again one last time is 512-967- 512-967-1196.
- 18:34Speaker 2: If your body is giving you signals that something's not working,
- 18:45Speaker 2: maybe that is pain. Maybe that is dysfunction in one
- 18:49Speaker 2: of your organ systems. Maybe that's not being able to
- 18:52Speaker 2: sleep properly, not being able to calm your nervous system.
- 18:55Speaker 2: If your heart rate is up, if you're seeing your
- 18:58Speaker 2: blood pressure creep up, If you're noticing that your immune
- 19:02Speaker 2: system is not functioning correctly, you're getting sick often. All
- 19:05Speaker 2: these things are warning signs. And, you know, in the
- 19:09Speaker 2: mechanistic view of health care, you get that warning light
- 19:13Speaker 2: on your busted car and, hey, no problem. We'll just
- 19:17Speaker 2: cover up that light. You won't feel it. You won't
- 19:20Speaker 2: see it. We'll treat the symptom. But it's not addressing
- 19:23Speaker 2: why that is. And so I really encourage you to
- 19:27Speaker 2: look into more vitalistic practices and think about your body
- 19:31Speaker 2: as a whole. What you eat affects your mental health.
- 19:34Speaker 2: It affects the energy in your body. It affects whether
- 19:37Speaker 2: or not your body becomes efficient at using fat for
- 19:40Speaker 2: energy or if it's going to rely on a steady
- 19:43Speaker 2: stream of sugar. And that comes with a lot of
- 19:47Speaker 2: cravings and agitation. How you move your body affects your
- 19:52Speaker 2: your health in every way it's not just about being
- 19:55Speaker 2: physically fit and having muscles although that is a really
- 19:59Speaker 2: important aspect of health in fact your muscle mass is
- 20:03Speaker 2: the currency of longevity so if you plan on living
- 20:06Speaker 2: to 80 90 years old You're going to need muscles
- 20:09Speaker 2: to get there. And you cannot neglect your physical health
- 20:13Speaker 2: when it comes to exercise. Really huge. But because of
- 20:18Speaker 2: the interconnectivity of the body, not only does exercising increase
- 20:23Speaker 2: your muscle mass and make your body stronger, but it's
- 20:26Speaker 2: going to affect your digestion as It affects your immune system.
- 20:29Speaker 2: We have studies to show all these things. It affects
- 20:32Speaker 2: your mental health. Most runners know that. But the goal
- 20:36Speaker 2: here is just not doing something for just one result,
- 20:41Speaker 2: but because this is necessary for your body to thrive
- 20:45Speaker 2: and work correctly because of that interconnection of the body,
- 20:48Speaker 2: that's why we do it. That's why we care about
- 20:52Speaker 2: chemicals and toxins that we're exposed to. Because although our
- 20:56Speaker 2: body was intelligently designed with a detox system already installed,
- 21:01Speaker 2: then we have organ systems that are designed to protect
- 21:05Speaker 2: us from exposure to toxins. I would argue that the
- 21:09Speaker 2: amount of toxins we are exposed to on a daily
- 21:12Speaker 2: basis right now in this year is more than our ancestors,
- 21:19Speaker 2: significantly more than our ancestors 60 years ago or especially
- 21:23Speaker 2: 100 years ago. So we have a constant onslaught of
- 21:27Speaker 2: chemical toxins and toxicants that our body is having to
- 21:32Speaker 2: deal with. And we've talked about the toxic bucket theory
- 21:37Speaker 2: on this show before, but basically our body's detoxing. That's
- 21:42Speaker 2: the drain at the bottom of the bucket. But if
- 21:44Speaker 2: that bucket gets filled too much and the drain can't
- 21:48Speaker 2: keep up, it's going to overflow. And that's where disease
- 21:52Speaker 2: and symptoms start expressing themselves and we start becoming aware
- 21:56Speaker 2: of them. And so not only do we need to
- 21:58Speaker 2: support our body's ability to detox, looking at what does
- 22:03Speaker 2: help the body detox properly? How do I support my liver?
- 22:07Speaker 2: What are the right foods to eat or the nutrients
- 22:09Speaker 2: that I might need that support the body's way of detoxing,
- 22:13Speaker 2: like glutathione, how important that is for detoxing. But we
- 22:18Speaker 2: don't do that just because it makes us feel better.
- 22:21Speaker 2: In fact, sometimes when you're detoxing, you don't feel great
- 22:24Speaker 2: in the very beginning. But we do that because we
- 22:27Speaker 2: know that the body's interconnected and that constant exposure and
- 22:30Speaker 2: not being able to detox properly will result in health
- 22:34Speaker 2: issues down the road because the body is interconnected, right?
- 22:39Speaker 2: and mindset, you know, a healthy mindset, what you think about.
- 22:42Speaker 2: I think the Bible tells us a lot about that,
- 22:45Speaker 2: about not worrying for anything and putting our trust in God.
- 22:49Speaker 2: And this is a lesson I have to learn all
- 22:52Speaker 2: the time. I have to constantly remind myself of. But
- 22:55Speaker 2: everything is connected. The things you think what you dwell
- 22:59Speaker 2: on will show up in your life in other ways.
- 23:03Speaker 2: In fact, a lot of times the things you focus
- 23:05Speaker 2: on grow. And so what are you focusing on? This
- 23:08Speaker 2: can have an impact on your health as well. We
- 23:11Speaker 2: know that that stress, our body, our brain doesn't know
- 23:14Speaker 2: the difference between a real threat or a perceived threat.
- 23:18Speaker 2: And most stress in our life is perceived threats. We're
- 23:21Speaker 2: worrying about what tomorrow is going to be like or
- 23:24Speaker 2: what's going to happen down the road. Well, what if
- 23:26Speaker 2: this doesn't happen? Well, now our body is feeling like
- 23:30Speaker 2: it's under attack because it doesn't know that this is
- 23:32Speaker 2: a potential threat. It feels like a threat. And all
- 23:35Speaker 2: the things that happen when your body is threatened the
- 23:37Speaker 2: changes in your respiration, the changes in your heart and
- 23:40Speaker 2: your vasculation, the changes in your digestion. And that all
- 23:44Speaker 2: came from something that you were thinking. All these things
- 23:48Speaker 2: affect our health, especially the alignment and the structure of
- 23:53Speaker 2: the spine. And in a day and age where we
- 23:56Speaker 2: spend a lot of time sitting, a lot of time,
- 24:01Speaker 2: you know, maybe you're a weekend warrior and you're in sports.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Maybe you've been in some car accidents, ones you walked
- 24:07Speaker 2: away from. But that body remembers that trauma. Nothing was broken,
- 24:14Speaker 2: but things got shifted. And then suddenly you noticed you
- 24:17Speaker 2: weren't moving as well as you were before. Things are
- 24:20Speaker 2: stiffer in areas than they used to be. And it's
- 24:23Speaker 2: an accumulation of trauma. trauma to the spine that creates
- 24:28Speaker 2: these major subluxation patterns and affects our posture. And that
- 24:33Speaker 2: is something that as a chiropractor, we can correct. We
- 24:36Speaker 2: can address those issues. But it starts with that first appointment,
- 24:40Speaker 2: like we were talking about, and really seeing overall, how
- 24:44Speaker 2: do we approach this? How do we get the body
- 24:46Speaker 2: functioning like it's supposed to? And where in the crucial
- 24:55Speaker 2: thing here is just being evaluated because you don't know
- 24:59Speaker 2: until you get checked and so I highly recommend if
- 25:03Speaker 2: you were interested and you're not just not quite sure
- 25:06Speaker 2: but maybe take take that step right away for your
- 25:10Speaker 2: health nothing changes in our life without action whether it's
- 25:14Speaker 2: me or another chiropractor that you're connected with, or someone
- 25:17Speaker 2: your family sees that they trust, go get evaluated as
- 25:21Speaker 2: soon as possible. If you have questions for me, or
- 25:24Speaker 2: you do want to secure one of those five discounted
- 25:27Speaker 2: new patient appointments we're offering, that number to call is 512-967-1196. Again,
- 25:34Speaker 2: we're located in Northwest Austin off of Anderson Mill Road,
- 25:38Speaker 2: but we see patients from all over the greater Austin
- 25:42Speaker 2: area and can definitely be there to help you achieve
- 25:46Speaker 2: your goal. And as we are addressing the issues in
- 25:49Speaker 2: the spine, we're also going to look at those other essentials,
- 25:52Speaker 2: nutrition and exercise and minimizing toxicity and mindset. And we do,
- 25:59Speaker 2: you know, routine workshops to make sure that we're getting
- 26:01Speaker 2: you all of that information for those that are hungry
- 26:04Speaker 2: to be healthy. So as we close, I just want
- 26:08Speaker 2: to remind you that your body is not a machine
- 26:11Speaker 2: made of disconnected parts. It is a living, connected, intelligent whole,
- 26:17Speaker 2: and the nervous system is the master conductor of the body.
