- 0:22Syndrome. Sit back, buckle up, let's get
- 0:25started. My name is Dan and I have
- 0:27Asperger syndrome in ADHD and I make weekly videos all about
- 0:30this stuff. So if you're new around here,
- 0:31make sure you hit that subscribe button by clicking the
- 0:34notification bell down below and click follow on all the other
- 0:37social media platforms that you are watching this video on to
- 0:40see more videos. So. 10 people with Asperger
- 0:43syndrome who are famous, you probably didn't even know about,
- 0:45which is pretty awesome because this is really interesting.
- 0:47So the first one we're going to talk about is Dan Aykroyd.
- 0:51Now Dan Aykroyd is a very famous movie star and director.
- 0:54He's also written load of movies.
- 0:56Now he's in different movies from generations and one of my
- 1:00favorite. Is.
- 1:00Ghostbusters. He plays Ray in Ghostbusters
- 1:03now. Dan Aykroyd.
- 1:04Also wrote. Ghostbusters.
- 1:06But I also saw a really interesting interview with Dan
- 1:09Aykroyd when he was on TV and the interviewer said to Dan
- 1:13Aykroyd, oh, do you, do you have anything odd or interesting
- 1:17about you said, yeah, you know, I have Asperger's syndrome,
- 1:19which is basically a form of autism and Asperger's syndrome
- 1:22is autism. Just so you guys know.
- 1:25I will leave a link down below for a video where I explain the
- 1:27difference between autism and Asperger's.
- 1:28But there isn't any difference, right.
- 1:30But there's more in depth version of why the terms exist.
- 1:33And Dan Aykroyd said one of the most interesting things he does
- 1:35is he barks in his sleep, which is funny because me, I bark in
- 1:39my sleep. I have absolutely syndrome.
- 1:40My name is Dan and I back in my sleep, We may be the same
- 1:44person. No, we're not really.
- 1:45And also a friend of mine, Pamela comedy.
- 1:47She's on like a Jewish dating show on Netflix, but she's also
- 1:51a comedian. She's a good friend of mine.
- 1:52And she also barks in her sleep. But she has Tourette's.
- 1:54Really interesting, right? But Dan Aykroyd, super dope guy.
- 1:57Asperger syndrome. OK, the next person I'm going to
- 2:00talk about of famous celebrities with Asperger's syndrome is Adam
- 2:04Young. Now Adam Young is formerly known
- 2:06by the name Owl City, now Owl. City is a musical.
- 2:10Career band thing, which is basically a person who puts
- 2:13music out. So Owl City is the name of the
- 2:15band, but it's just one guy, it's Adam Young.
- 2:18Now Adam Young is a multi musician from America and he is
- 2:22just phenomenal. Actually him and I were born
- 2:25like 5 days apart which is pretty interesting.
- 2:28But I just was going, OK, I'm filming a video I'm on.
- 2:30You need my help. Oh no, just wanted to give you
- 2:32an update. Adam Young is one of my favorite
- 2:34musical kind of people in the world.
- 2:36He's a multi musician as am I, so I take like big inspiration
- 2:39from him. But also Owl City is some of the
- 2:41best music I've ever heard ever. But he's commented lots and lots
- 2:44in different interviews that he has Asperger's syndrome, and it
- 2:47kind of helps with the creative. It helps with this creative.
- 2:50Path of. Being a multi musician and it's
- 2:53given him the ability to do things that are kind of like,
- 2:55you know, where he can hyper focus on music rather than like
- 2:58socializing and stuff like that, which is very common for people
- 3:00on the autism spectrum. And that was my number two.
- 3:03OK, so #3 is Sir Anthony Hopkins.
- 3:06Now this one quite close to my heart.
- 3:07Sir Anthony Hopkins is an actor, an amazing actor and he's Welsh
- 3:11and I'm Welsh. I was born in Wales, right?
- 3:13Even though I may not sound like it, I was born in Wales, North
- 3:15Wales, Anglesey, Goglithe company, I'm here in Wales, love
- 3:19it right now. If you haven't already, make
- 3:21sure you hit the subscribe button down below to get more
- 3:23videos from me. Anthony Hopkins was quoted
- 3:26saying that a lot of his success and a lot of like the the
- 3:29amazing things that happened in his life is due to the fact he
- 3:32has Asperger's syndrome and he's able to focus on lines and
- 3:35remember things that others probably wouldn't.
- 3:37And his wife also said this is one of the most attractive
- 3:39qualities of him being an autistic individual.
- 3:43This gives him like an edge that she finds really interesting and
- 3:46it's quite attractive. So that is really interesting
- 3:48announcing obvious being one of the.
- 3:49Best actors ever. Super dope and he's part of the
- 3:52gang. What up Anthony?
- 3:54OK, the next one is Tim Burton. Now Tim Burton is super famous.
- 3:58Like everybody knows who Tim Burton is.
- 4:00He's good friends with Johnny Depp and Helen of All the
- 4:02Carter. Like.
- 4:03Those two people are always in all his movies.
- 4:05You know, he's done stuff like The Nightmare Before Christmas
- 4:09and there's just, I can't even go into the amount of movies
- 4:12he's done, like, you know, Willy Wonka, the Chocolate Factory,
- 4:14just amazing movies, right? Tim Burton is head and shoulders
- 4:17above anybody else in terms of like this unusual dark animation
- 4:21and it's so dope. Like he.
- 4:23Is ace. But he also has Asperger's
- 4:24syndrome. And if you see the guy, you'll
- 4:26see why. Like, he's very unique, very
- 4:28uniquely talented, and he has some really interesting insight
- 4:32from himself of how he conducts himself in in reality.
- 4:35But those things are really interesting and characteristic
- 4:38of somebody. With.
- 4:39Autism, right? So This is why he is who he is
- 4:42and how quirky he is. Now a really quick word from
- 4:45today's sponsor. Hey, I interrupt.
- 4:47This video to give you guys a very special word from today's
- 4:50sponsor guys. So one of the biggest questions
- 4:52that always happens with people is that they always ask hey I
- 4:55waited blankets hot. No, this time I have found the
- 5:01best weighted blanket. Now look let me tell you, I was
- 5:05really interested in this company to partner with them
- 5:07because my girlfriend swears by weighted blankets and so do I.
- 5:11I've had a weighted blanket for a long time.
- 5:14However, I gave my weighted blanket away to somebody else
- 5:16who needed it more than me and still did.
- 5:17My girlfriend. Now.
- 5:19This awesome company reached out to me and said, hey, do you want
- 5:23to check out a weighted blanket? And I was like, yeah, so
- 5:26blueliving.com reached out was like, hey, would you like a wet
- 5:29blanket to try it? Or like, yeah, 100%.
- 5:31So I decided to test out that blanket.
- 5:33And I assure you guys, it's not just a way to blanket.
- 5:36This thing is quality so weighted blankets.
- 5:39This one is cool and comfortable.
- 5:40It's made with chemical free. Cotton lead free glass beads so
- 5:44there's no heating. Trapped inside the polyester or
- 5:45synthetic smells and it is really good for people who are
- 5:48hot sleepers. Like me.
- 5:49I'm a very hot sleeper, but there's no funky smells on it.
- 5:52This is a trusted quality. Basically, it's machine
- 5:54washable, which is amazing of course because of glass beads,
- 5:57it's dryer safe, and it's backed by a.
- 5:59Lifetime guarantee and this. Investment will last.
- 6:03This is so cool. I cannot tell you how good
- 6:06weighted blankets are for people on the autism spectrum.
- 6:08Right? So the weight is distributed
- 6:11equally in this one. So it uses a unique 3 size
- 6:13pocket design which ensures. That the most.
- 6:15Balance for comfort is present when you're using the blanket.
- 6:19Now we use it to go to sleep, but you can also use it if
- 6:22you're feeling may be overwhelmed though you're
- 6:25feeling anxious. Weighted blankets or weighted
- 6:27compression on people with autism and ADHD has profoundly
- 6:31awesome results. Now this is proven benefits.
- 6:34This is backed by studies showing that this reduces
- 6:36anxiety, improved sleep. Quality and the.
- 6:38Deep pressure stimulation is helpful for the proprioception,
- 6:42which is people who also suffer from sensory processing disorder
- 6:45will get a benefit from this. Is an eco.
- 6:47Friendly carbon neutral, ocean positive and plastic free
- 6:50blanket with sustainable packaging and auk delivery

- 6:56US. They are just.
- 6:59Honestly guys. I cannot tell you a I've met the
- 7:02company founder personally, she's just lovely.
- 7:05Elizabeth is an absolute gem and she really cares about people
- 7:08and really wants to make a difference in their lives, hence
- 7:10why she has this product. Also, you're just only using the
- 7:12product, right? So.

- 7:41get 10% off. All right, guys, back to the
- 7:43video. The next person on my list is
- 7:45OK, I'm going to read this out so make sure that I say this
- 7:49correctly. It's Satoshi Tajiri.
- 7:52Now, Satoshi Tajiri is the inventor or the creator of
- 7:56Pokémon, right? And all artistic individuals
- 7:58love Pokémon like I. I was obsessed with Pokémon.
- 8:01For many, many years, I was always been obsessed with
- 8:03Pokémon. I still called Pokémon cards
- 8:05now, and one of my dreams was to go to the Pokémon Center in
- 8:09Japan in in Tokyo. I think it's it's in Tokyo or
- 8:12somewhere. It's somewhere near Tokyo, but I
- 8:14want to go to the Pokémon Center anyway.
- 8:15The creator of Pokémon, he's autistic himself.
- 8:18Now, Pokémon actually likes the life of many autistic kids and
- 8:23adults all around the world. And it's something that actually
- 8:25unites and connects us all together.
- 8:27And I love this about it. I love that, the fact that the
- 8:29guy who created Pokémon, he's autistic himself, because it
- 8:32kind of makes you think, yeah, you know, like, it makes sense.
- 8:35That's why autistic people like it, because it resonates with
- 8:37us, because of us. That makes sense.
- 8:40Anyway, you get what I'm saying? But it's super, super awesome.
- 8:43OK, so the next person I'm going to talk about the element
- 8:45controversial is Courtney Love. Now Courtney Love was married to
- 8:51the guitarist from Nirvana called Kurt Cobain.
- 8:53Now, Kurt Cobain sadly died of suicide back in 1994, I think it
- 8:58was. And Courtney Love was married to
- 9:00him at the time. Or she had divorced him.
- 9:04I'm not telling you, but she was married to him at one point,
- 9:05right? She's also a musician.
- 9:07She's in a band called Whole. But she does.
- 9:09All kinds of cool stuff and she's a celebrity and she does
- 9:10kind of cool things like that. But Courtney Love also having
- 9:13Asperger syndrome, later diagnosed, but being a female
- 9:16was really interesting because a lot of the time we we come
- 9:18across a lot of people who are male who, who display autism
- 9:22traitor we see in the media males.
- 9:24So it's nice to see females resonating with that, which
- 9:27leads me on to the next one, which is Daryl Hannah.
- 9:29Now, Carol Hannah is an actress and she's in many things and I'm
- 9:33pretty sure she plays the person the main character in Killed
- 9:35Bill, which is like a a Tarantino movie.
- 9:38But again, amazing actress, does a lot of cool things and is on
- 9:43the autism spectrum. And it is so cool because it's
- 9:45inspiring for young people, young girls, young women to kind
- 9:47of see, you know, autistic females kicking butt in.
- 9:51Hollywood I love. This OK.
- 9:53The next one also is a female. This is Susan Boyle.
- 9:57Now, Susan Boyle is a British singer from a competition over
- 10:02here. We had called The X Factor, and
- 10:04with Simon Cowell, everyone knows of Simon Cowell is right.
- 10:06But she went on this and she sang, and it was either this one
- 10:09or Britain's Got Talent, one of those two.
- 10:10And she sang really, really well and she did all this stuff.
- 10:12But she was a bit quirky, right? She's a Scottish lady, a bit
- 10:15quirky, her hairstyle. And.
- 10:17Clothes were a bit funky and she didn't really have the pop star
- 10:25appeal that you would think from somebody who would like.
- 10:27You know, be. Super, super famous.
- 10:28You know, she still lives in the same house.
- 10:29It was a social house housing that she still lives in.
- 10:32But she's worth like millions and millions of pounds.
- 10:34Susan Boyle has hospital syndrome.
- 10:36She's done a lot of work with the National Artistic Society,
- 10:38which is with the charity here in the UK that I work a lot
- 10:41with. And it's just so nice to see
- 10:42that she's kicking butt and being just genuinely her.
- 10:45It's super awesome. OK, so the next person is a
- 10:49musician called Craig Nichols. And Craig Nicholas is a
- 10:54guitarist and singer from a band called The Vines.
- 10:56These were really big in the early to mid 2000s, right?
- 10:59They're Australian. And he was later diagnosed with
- 11:04Asperger's syndrome, I think partway through his musical
- 11:06career because as he was diagnosed, he said he was on
- 11:09tour, I'm sure. And he said that like the his
- 11:11doctors and psychiatrists kind of helped him change his diet
- 11:14because he was just like binge eating fast food, which is
- 11:16typical of people on the autism spectrum because we're trying to
- 11:19keep up with the speed in our brain going.
- 11:20So we need all these to keep us afloat, which doesn't always
- 11:23work out, but it works out kind of temporarily anyway.
- 11:27Really interesting. A great interview with him.
- 11:28But yeah, it's just really interesting to.
- 11:31See this guy. Talking about Asperger's
- 11:32syndrome openly. And it's just a thing that is
- 11:34part of his life. And the last person I'm going to
- 11:37talk about here is James Durbin. Now, James Durbin is an American
- 11:41singer and songwriter who was made famous from appearing on
- 11:45American Idol. Now American Idol is similar to
- 11:47the British. TV shows.
- 11:48I was just. Talking about where Simon Cowell
- 11:49and a bunch of other celebrities judge people on the singing
- 11:51ability to pass them through in a competition like format.
- 11:54Now this is super awesome. This guy also has Asperger
- 11:56syndrome, openly talked about it, diagnosed with it.
- 11:58But it's a really good, inspiring way to see that.
- 12:01Like Hollywood style stars or Hollywood level?
- 12:04Celebrities also suffer. From the, the mundane people's
- 12:08issues with Asperger's syndrome, right?
- 12:11Like so sometimes, you know, like socializing or
- 12:13understanding social conventions, all those things
- 12:16that like we as you know, the typical average people will deal
- 12:20with having Asperger syndrome. That's celebrities who have like
- 12:23all this money and all this fame.
- 12:24They also deal with those same issues day in, day out.
- 12:27And it's so reassuring and validating to know like, hey,
- 12:29you know, I'm not alone in this. I actually have people who are,
- 12:33you know, super famous who have the same traits as me.
- 12:35Now, I'd love to know more about this from your perspective guys,
- 12:38if you have anything to add, pop it in a comment down below.
- 12:40I'd read and respond to every single one.
- 12:41See you later. Peace.
