- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey hey hey, I'm
- 0:03Speaker 1: testing one two three. I'm recording testing one two three.
- 0:07Speaker 1: This is my level. Hi everybody, how are you? I'm
- 0:12Speaker 1: excited for the show. How are we all feeling about
- 0:15Speaker 1: the live show? We've only done this from our own homes.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I've done this whole podcast, the entire thing. We started
- 0:22Speaker 1: the day Lockdown, if you guys recall the Day Lockdown
- 0:25Speaker 1: started in twenty nineteen. We started this podcast, and I've
- 0:29Speaker 1: done almost every episode from this office, and now we're
- 0:34Speaker 1: going to switch to doing it in front of a
- 0:36Speaker 1: whole lot of people. I'm a little nervous on how
- 0:38Speaker 1: you guys are feeling.
- 0:39Speaker 2: A little anxiety tell me for sure?
- 0:41Speaker 1: For sure, I'm stoked.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I'm stove also excited. Yeah, I'm just glad. We rented
- 0:47Speaker 2: out a room, a live room, and all we're gonna
- 0:50Speaker 2: do is put a computer screen up on stage for
- 0:53Speaker 2: you guys right now, exactly so you can watch us talk.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I don't think people will be very happy with that, Donald.
- 1:00Speaker 2: You don't think so.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I think you know, I was trying to fall a
- 1:03Speaker 1: sleep last night, and I was so I was kind
- 1:04Speaker 1: of nervous and anxious, and I was like, you're not anxious,
- 1:06Speaker 1: you're excited. You know, that's a good distinction. You know,
- 1:09Speaker 1: sometimes you feel anxiety and you can zoom out on
- 1:13Speaker 1: yourself and go, wait, I'm not really, it's not anxiety.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It's excitement. Like I can't wait to go entertain everyone
- 1:19Speaker 1: and be funny.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, the anxiety is what are we going
- 1:25Speaker 2: to talk about? But we've been talking about it for
- 1:27Speaker 2: like the past.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Two Well, also, like I feel like we have so
- 1:32Speaker 1: much stuff to do in the show. The show is
- 1:34Speaker 1: jam packed with with ideas. I had another idea last
- 1:37Speaker 1: night that could be really funny listening. Well, I can
- 1:41Speaker 1: say this because this will air after the live show.
- 1:43Speaker 1: But my friend Preston is in town and he's singing Javert.
- 1:47Speaker 1: He's playing Javert in the touring company of Lame's rob
- 1:52Speaker 1: Oh Wow, and he's they're going to be in Seattle.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Fuck dude, come on, let's go just listen.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Listen already listen. He said he's gonna take a personal
- 2:02Speaker 1: day and try and come to the show. So then
- 2:04Speaker 1: I had this whole plan. So we don't have time
- 2:06Speaker 1: for this, but my plan was that I would we
- 2:09Speaker 1: could come up with some system where we act like
- 2:12Speaker 1: we put a bunch of random names from people in
- 2:14Speaker 1: the audience into one hat, and we put a bunch
- 2:16Speaker 1: of skill sets into another hat, and we're gonna randomly
- 2:19Speaker 1: pick it. And so Preston is a plant, right, So
- 2:22Speaker 1: first we go, okay, mister Preston Boyd and he Prestor
- 2:26Speaker 1: could act the ship be like, yeah, that's me, that's me.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I'm not and then we randomly act like we're randomly
- 2:31Speaker 1: picking a skill set out and we go you're gonna
- 2:33Speaker 1: sing a song from Lame is Rob And he's like, what,
- 2:36Speaker 1: I can't sing? What you get up here on stage, Preston.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And then he comes up on stage and he starts tentatively,
- 2:42Speaker 1: we have the piano player for our song, and then the.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Stage do the church freaking heal this.
- 2:52Speaker 1: It's like a church healer.
- 2:54Speaker 2: But let's do it.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Let's do it, do it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I think we But the best part, the best part
- 3:01Speaker 2: would be the.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Best donald the best probably if he started off like
- 3:06Speaker 1: kind of tentative and he's nervous and the audience is like,
- 3:09Speaker 1: come on, you got this, and then he goes into
- 3:12Speaker 1: full fucking juff Air mode. That would be great to
- 3:15Speaker 1: do it. That would be a show. Stop to do it? There?
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think we do it and see what happens.
- 3:20Speaker 1: All right, Donald, Are you worried about being too high?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Is that something that's crossed your mind at all?
- 3:27Speaker 2: No, I'm actually using this as a way.
- 3:30Speaker 1: To I can't think of the thought.
- 3:33Speaker 2: No I can. I'm just trying to think of a
- 3:36Speaker 2: nicer way of saying it to you, fucking dick lick.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Let me know when you finished thinking of the thought.
- 3:41Speaker 2: How about this. I'm trying to think of a way
- 3:44Speaker 2: to u say it without sounding like I'm trying to.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I'm going to use this as an opportunity to get
- 3:50Speaker 2: off the weed. But that's pretty much what I'm gonna,
- 3:52Speaker 2: don't believe you the.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Live show in two days.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna be sweating like a But.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Listen, I have a question. Since you do the podcast
- 4:01Speaker 1: stoned every time, don't you think you should match your
- 4:04Speaker 1: vibe by being high as a cut.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Don't you think you should eat these balls?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Zach?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Okay, okay, well let me hit that button. Where is it?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Eat these balls?
- 4:13Speaker 2: Eat these balls? Zach? How about this? How about this?
- 4:18Speaker 2: How about you let me do me?
- 4:20Speaker 1: You do you? I'm just a little concerned if I'm
- 4:22Speaker 1: honest with you that we're gonna get out there in
- 4:24Speaker 1: front of two thousand people and you're gonna be like, yo,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I got too high, and then you're gonna panic.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Has that ever happened?
- 4:33Speaker 1: No, you don't seem to. You don't seem to have
- 4:35Speaker 1: a peak of ganja where you go. You know what,
- 4:39Speaker 1: that's too much.
- 4:43Speaker 2: There's a peak hanging out with Snoop Dogg. There's a
- 4:47Speaker 2: peak that's a wrap.
- 4:49Speaker 1: What do you think you're gonna feel when we walk
- 4:50Speaker 1: out to p I M P and then you see
- 4:53Speaker 1: two thousand people on three levels? What are you gonna feel?
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna feel like a motherfucking p I M P.
- 4:58Speaker 1: All right, let's do it. Do it.
- 5:01Speaker 2: That's straight up. Look like, just think about it, man, Like,
- 5:05Speaker 2: all right, I once did a concert in Madison Square Garden.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I know you've told us, you know that feeling.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I don't know, two thousand people is a lot. I
- 5:13Speaker 2: played basketball in front of eighteen thousand people before, and
- 5:17Speaker 2: then when they told me afterwards eighteen thousand people were there,
- 5:20Speaker 2: That's when I was like, holy shit, wow. But we
- 5:23Speaker 2: know going into this, we fucking we packed the house.
- 5:26Speaker 2: It's sold out for those of you trying to get
- 5:28Speaker 2: in right now, you're going to have to get a
- 5:30Speaker 2: scout ticket because we packed the house. We did it.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And for those of you planning on bum rushing, Donald,
- 5:36Speaker 1: don't worry, we have security.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Not only that, we got security.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Daniel, have you started working on your remix tracks of
- 5:45Speaker 1: the Scrubs musical?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Oh?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Yes, how those sounded?
- 5:48Speaker 4: Well, it's you know, it's less of a remix and
- 5:51Speaker 4: more of a live performance. It's more about how everything
- 5:54Speaker 4: prepared to do something fun with the song.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You know what else I thought you could do that
- 5:58Speaker 1: the audience might like is if you work to your listen.
- 6:02Speaker 1: All I do I can't. I have insomnia, So all
- 6:04Speaker 1: I do is think of ideas for the live show.
- 6:06Speaker 1: But I thought you could work in some of the
- 6:08Speaker 1: key sound bites from the mixer into one of your
- 6:11Speaker 1: mix so you could be like what you're trying to
- 6:14Speaker 1: get into one day, shoon what you're trying to do?
- 6:18Speaker 2: I like that one.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I love it.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I'll you know what, I'll see what I can get
- 6:22Speaker 4: on my on the maybe get a third deck for
- 6:24Speaker 4: just some samples and then just drop some stuff in there.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Well, I'm bringing this soundboard, so if you want to
- 6:28Speaker 1: use it during your set, you can. I'll rent it
- 6:31Speaker 1: to you. Oh, thank you.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Are we recording this now now that we're sold out?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Are we recording this at all?
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yes, we're recording it to eventual everything.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Are we recording it to put up on the in
- 6:43Speaker 2: the podcast feed? Yes? Our podcast? Yeah? Awesome, cool, eventually
- 6:48Speaker 2: eventually cool. That's really good to know. Everybody's going to
- 6:53Speaker 2: get a chance to experience everybody here.
- 6:54Speaker 1: And what's great is that we're going to mic the audience.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Uh so they'll hear the audience laughing and singing and
- 7:01Speaker 1: the whole thing.
- 7:02Speaker 2: What if they're like, what if they're like, you know, wow,
- 7:06Speaker 2: came all this way. I's say, not that impressed.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Wow, it's happened to us before.
- 7:16Speaker 1: That's why you got to bring.
- 7:17Speaker 2: It, right, That's right, you got to bring it. Bro.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh so, Mark, my assistant, had a funny idea you
- 7:21Speaker 1: guys for the live show. I'm not spoiling this because
- 7:23Speaker 1: this won't air until after we do the live show, right, well, yes,
- 7:27Speaker 1: so we can act like, wow, guys, the live show
- 7:30Speaker 1: went amazing.
- 7:34Speaker 2: What a great show. When you did that thing that
- 7:38Speaker 2: you did with my gang and everybody was like whoa,
- 7:43Speaker 2: and I was like, yo, I knew we had it in.
- 7:45Speaker 1: We killed it, guys, we killed it.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Yeah it no.
- 7:48Speaker 1: But here's seriously, here's a funny thing that Mark came
- 7:50Speaker 1: up with. All Right, so when Donald and I are singing,
- 7:53Speaker 1: everything comes down to pooh, there's a few people that
- 7:57Speaker 1: sing in the song with us. And Mark said, why
- 8:01Speaker 1: don't you have Joel and Daniel go out into the
- 8:03Speaker 1: audience and pick people like to sing those They'll have
- 8:07Speaker 1: a lyric sheet because we need someone to sing. I
- 8:12Speaker 1: my what are the lines? Don on my? Something something almost? Guys,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you're pull in my eyes. Check the minor his.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I was shut checked the pool.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Check check minor his first Yeah it may wait, don't
- 8:32Speaker 1: waste it, baby, ye listen, save your voice for Saturday.
- 8:36Speaker 1: But listen. Don't you think that could be funny? Like
- 8:38Speaker 1: if we pick I think there's three different people that
- 8:40Speaker 1: sing in the audience, and then they can participate in
- 8:43Speaker 1: the in the singing of the song.
- 8:45Speaker 3: What if we divided the audience into three different sections, right,
- 8:49Speaker 3: and we're like, okay, Falcony, you got this is on
- 8:52Speaker 3: you you know what I mean? And in that way
- 8:54Speaker 3: everyone can participate.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Okay, that's clever. It's just that they're not like they're
- 8:57Speaker 1: just quick lines though, they're like they're like, well, Bill,
- 9:01Speaker 1: I was thinking Bill, sorry, not a spoiler, because the
- 9:04Speaker 1: show has already happened. Bill could our surprise guest. Bill
- 9:09Speaker 1: could do the Mike Schwartz part Donald, which was the.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Po in my eye.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But there's also one of the other lines. One of
- 9:19Speaker 1: them is like my stomach hurts.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I was shot.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I was shot memory I was shot. So yeah, that's
- 9:28Speaker 1: a good idea. We could have the whole balcony yell,
- 9:30Speaker 1: I was shot. That's so great, that's clever. All Right,
- 9:36Speaker 1: we're gonna have to orchestrate that because that's funny.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Are you going to say a cur a letter J?
- 9:41Speaker 2: Or are you going to do no?
- 9:42Speaker 1: But I think it was a good discussion with Bill
- 9:44Speaker 1: Lawrence to talk about how the only one of the
- 9:46Speaker 1: only things that's ever been censored from Scrubs and Scrubs
- 9:49Speaker 1: history was a curlyer a letter J. Yeah, my god,
- 9:54Speaker 1: look at you in your animation room. He looks like
- 9:56Speaker 1: the audience can't see, but his camera looks like he's
- 9:59Speaker 1: set up to do an interview at at ILM, like
- 10:02Speaker 1: he's an animator with the with the animation studio in
- 10:07Speaker 1: the background. Looks like you got a new set piece there.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Donald got a bunch of new set pieces. You know,
- 10:12Speaker 2: another man's trash is another man's treasure.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Where did you get this rock for me?
- 10:17Speaker 2: Stupid buddy studios getting rid of some of their shall
- 10:22Speaker 2: I say stuff, and uh, you know they had to
- 10:28Speaker 2: get it, throw it. They were gonna either throw it
- 10:30Speaker 2: out or somebody was going to take it. And guess
- 10:31Speaker 2: who was that? Somebody who took it?
- 10:34Speaker 1: Well, I bet you'll take all of their set pieces
- 10:37Speaker 1: they want to throw away, especially if I.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Had the space that that warehouse would be mine if
- 10:41Speaker 2: I had the space. But I don't have the space.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So you just took selective things. You took selective.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Things, things that I think that I'm that I think
- 10:47Speaker 2: I'm going to use, things that I, you know, intend
- 10:50Speaker 2: on using. There's always that the intention of using.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Right, how's that bomb rep that you took feeling? Are
- 10:57Speaker 1: you feeling it?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Not yet? I think I take another one?
- 11:01Speaker 1: Okay, as long as you show yeah, show the bong
- 11:06Speaker 1: this time you want to show yeah, to show you
- 11:10Speaker 1: it's legally there's a state of you're in the state
- 11:12Speaker 1: of California. You're enjoying your medicine.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Beautiful.
- 11:14Speaker 5: This one is like castles, It's like skulls, and it's
- 11:22Speaker 5: like Mayan writing on it and stuff like.
- 11:25Speaker 1: See how you do it?
- 11:26Speaker 2: Come on, let's you want to You want to see
- 11:28Speaker 2: how I do it? Yeah, we want to see show
- 11:30Speaker 2: you how I do Why are.
- 11:32Speaker 1: You you finally progressed to Donald just ripping bong hits
- 11:38Speaker 1: on the show? Best part about an audio medium. I
- 11:42Speaker 1: can't believe how much weed I smell in l A.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I don't even want to smell it anymore.
- 11:47Speaker 2: You want to talk about smoke?
- 11:51Speaker 1: No, I know, walking down the street in Lower Manhattan
- 11:53Speaker 1: is just like it's just all you smell.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I mean no, No, that wasn't a pun, like for real,
- 11:59Speaker 2: like because the Canadian wildfires. Let's just timeline this moment
- 12:04Speaker 2: real quick for everyone out there. When when you listen
- 12:07Speaker 2: to this show later on, because you're catching up at
- 12:11Speaker 2: this point, New York looks like freaking Blade Runner two
- 12:16Speaker 2: point whatever that ship was with Ryan Gosling and Harrison
- 12:19Speaker 2: Ford in the future in Vegas, when that ship was
- 12:23Speaker 2: just straight up haze. That's what New York looks.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Like, right right, now I'm headed there too.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Shit, well, if your playing can make it through.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I don't think they've stopped planes.
- 12:35Speaker 2: They've delayed a couple of flights.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Anyway, after Seattle, I'm going so hopefully it's gone by them.
- 12:39Speaker 1: All right, let's let's get back to the show. So
- 12:42Speaker 1: how how are you guys doing? Are you excited? What's happening, Joelle?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Are you gonna have your hair did Dani? Or you're
- 12:48Speaker 1: gonna have your hair didn't gonna? I might need to
- 12:50Speaker 1: get a little touch up.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I definitely haircut. All this is gonna be cleaned up
- 12:54Speaker 4: for a Friday.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Nice, nice and bring out the Diana Ross hair. Just
- 13:00Speaker 3: love it because it's my favorite type of hair. It's
- 13:02Speaker 3: so much fun. Yeah, I'm excited. As you'll see in
- 13:07Speaker 3: this recording, I have been on my phone more than
- 13:09Speaker 3: any other time in my entire existence. Every two seconds
- 13:14Speaker 3: it's vocal or a text or email or another ask,
- 13:16Speaker 3: which is totally fine. It's all going towards like a
- 13:19Speaker 3: lot of love in the show. But oh my god,
- 13:21Speaker 3: it's been Oh I'm like, oh, this is why they
- 13:24Speaker 3: call you an executive producer.
- 13:26Speaker 1: This, this is the work. Well, Joelle, it's good training
- 13:29Speaker 1: for you, because I imagine that you're going to be
- 13:31Speaker 1: producing big TV shows and big movies running. I'm manifesting, yes,
- 13:37Speaker 1: Donald and I are manifesting you being a showrunner.
- 13:40Speaker 2: My little heigher. Thank you.
- 13:41Speaker 1: So this is all good practice for you, because this
- 13:44Speaker 1: is all the Michigan you have to deal with.
- 13:46Speaker 3: It's it has been a really good education and so
- 13:50Speaker 3: far making should happen.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Hell yeah, I see what it's happening exactly.
- 13:57Speaker 1: And Joe Lamartine is a great partner, I imagine, and
- 14:00Speaker 1: he's he's really on, Oh my gosh.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Joe's incredible, like very on it, very supportive in a
- 14:04Speaker 3: way that doesn't feel either pushing your take over like
- 14:08Speaker 3: it's always like considering where you're at, but also like
- 14:10Speaker 3: how do we get to this next?
- 14:12Speaker 1: It's wonderful, great team. He's very zen. I love him.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Carrie Brothers, my friend for my birthday got me a drone,
- 14:20Speaker 1: a little mini drone.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Oh okay, and.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I love it. It's the coolest present.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Now. These are the thing. This is. These are I
- 14:27Speaker 2: have a couple of questions for you.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Go ahead, I can answer.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I know you love it. I know. One of the
- 14:32Speaker 2: answers is I love it because it's flying and.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Knowing it's flying two things. I love flying in cameras
- 14:39Speaker 1: one thing right yet and also I was a big
- 14:41Speaker 1: RC kid when I was.
- 14:43Speaker 2: A When I was a kid, I did not know that. Okay,
- 14:46Speaker 2: So what are your intentions? Are your intentions to use
- 14:51Speaker 2: it in film and you know, create really unique shots
- 14:56Speaker 2: with the drone, or your intentions to race it because
- 15:00Speaker 2: it does seem like it's pretty fast.
- 15:03Speaker 1: No, I'm going to race it. That's when I'm in
- 15:06Speaker 1: a professional environment like.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Modern warfare, Like, what are your intentions?
- 15:11Speaker 1: When I not modern warfare? In a professional environment, I've
- 15:16Speaker 1: always hired a professional guy because of course, you need
- 15:20Speaker 1: the best person to get the best shots. There's really
- 15:22Speaker 1: cool drone shots in a good person. There's drone shots
- 15:25Speaker 1: in which I was here. I love professional drone operators
- 15:29Speaker 1: who know their shit and a good person. We had
- 15:32Speaker 1: a drone that flew the Alexa Mini, which is the
- 15:34Speaker 1: main camera we use for the film, which is just incredible.
- 15:36Speaker 1: It's a giant drone. So for me, it's just fun.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I would imagine I'll take it on vacation. I'm going
- 15:43Speaker 1: on vacation in the beating of July to the beach,
- 15:45Speaker 1: and I think I'll bring it and mess around with
- 15:47Speaker 1: it over the water and then the beach. But for me,
- 15:50Speaker 1: it's just fun to play with it because these drones
- 15:51Speaker 1: have come such a long way. You know, when I
- 15:54Speaker 1: first started playing with them, you really had to gain
- 15:57Speaker 1: a lot of strong skill set to be able to
- 15:59Speaker 1: just even keep it hovering. Now these DGI drones have
- 16:04Speaker 1: come such a long way that they're just using all
- 16:06Speaker 1: the GPS satellites and they just it just hovers. If
- 16:09Speaker 1: you don't touch it, it just sits there. It'll hover
- 16:12Speaker 1: in place, in perfect position for a half hour.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Do you remember where all of this shit start? When
- 16:17Speaker 2: all of this shit started? Do you remember when the
- 16:19Speaker 2: guys on scrubs, like in the camera department and in
- 16:22Speaker 2: the grip department, in the electric department. Yeah, got those
- 16:25Speaker 2: helicopters too.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Yeah, they got into those were those Those were those
- 16:29Speaker 1: helicopters with they had two different sets of blazers.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty much kind of the same thing.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And they got obsessed.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah, just trying to steady it and move it around
- 16:39Speaker 2: and all of that stuff. And now here we are
- 16:42Speaker 2: twenty five years, twenty something years later, And I bet
- 16:45Speaker 2: you if they did master those things, or if they,
- 16:49Speaker 2: you know, those guys would be drone pilots in the
- 16:54Speaker 2: in the entertainment industry.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Well, it's just you know what, the biggest barrier to
- 16:59Speaker 1: entry is being able to hover something. So what these
- 17:02Speaker 1: drones have taken that out of the equation because the
- 17:04Speaker 1: computer is just hovering it on its own. It will
- 17:08Speaker 1: literally just sit there perfectly still until the battery runs out.
- 17:13Speaker 1: And so now now the skill set to learn is
- 17:15Speaker 1: being able to move it and fly it and not
- 17:18Speaker 1: lose it and not fly it into a tree. Obviously,
- 17:20Speaker 1: but it's taken the hardest part back when when Donald's
- 17:24Speaker 1: talking about when we used to fly these little tiny
- 17:27Speaker 1: RC copters, that was the hardest part. It's taken that out,
- 17:30Speaker 1: so anyone can just you could literally, I could teach
- 17:32Speaker 1: you in five minutes how to fly it around your
- 17:34Speaker 1: yard and it's so fun.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Our helicopter is pretty much the same thing.
- 17:39Speaker 1: No, I don't really know what's happening with RC helicopters
- 17:42Speaker 1: because everyone who's into that has just gone into drones
- 17:45Speaker 1: because drones are just so fucking cool. I'm sure there's something.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I feel like drones are the wave of the future.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Like that's the flying car. I know you're on Instagram
- 17:54Speaker 2: and I know you're on TikTok and Twitter. You've seen
- 17:57Speaker 2: these motherfuckers taking those big ass drones and standing on
- 18:01Speaker 2: top of him and flying around like fucking the Green Goblin.
- 18:05Speaker 1: It's spider Man, I've seen that. But more impressive is
- 18:08Speaker 1: the fucking JetPak guys. Have you seen those guys?
- 18:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they're bugging then flying by planes and stuff like that,
- 18:13Speaker 2: like an airport. If you're gonna do that ship, why
- 18:17Speaker 2: fly by the airport? Like? Why being the fucker that's like,
- 18:19Speaker 2: you know what, I'm just gonna go fuck with the
- 18:21Speaker 2: pilots right now.
- 18:21Speaker 1: No, No, I don't think that's the thing that gotta
- 18:23Speaker 1: be arrested. The guy I saw was he did it.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Like five times or some shit like that, didn't he?
- 18:28Speaker 4: I honestly think that's like an FAA clearance thing, Like
- 18:31Speaker 4: I think you actually had to be in an airport.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's just a guess. But well, No, I saw a
- 18:35Speaker 1: guy who I think was military from some country doing
- 18:38Speaker 1: a demonstration of it, and he was showing how he
- 18:41Speaker 1: could go from a ship to another ship and intercept it,
- 18:45Speaker 1: land on it, and it was fucking amazing. I mean
- 18:47Speaker 1: it was seriously iron man like now.
- 18:49Speaker 2: We watched the news a lot in this house, like
- 18:52Speaker 2: CBS News with up Gail, what up? Tony up?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Nate? Are you.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Shot out?
- 19:00Speaker 1: Gil? I think when the bunts are live on the
- 19:07Speaker 1: check this out.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But check this out. I saw they But in the
- 19:13Speaker 2: morning CBS News in l A. There was a guy
- 19:18Speaker 2: that was flying by the airports all the time and
- 19:22Speaker 2: flying by pilots unauthorized, unauthorized a jetpack.
- 19:27Speaker 1: That's aboud Idea. Yeah, man, they must have gotten him.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Should we get into the show down? Why don't you
- 19:33Speaker 1: count usit.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Stories? I'm not show we made about a bunch of
- 19:40Speaker 6: times and nurses. I said, he's the stories.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So YadA around here, yeada here, Okay, my absence now listen.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I understand that you're going to say that I'm biased
- 20:03Speaker 1: because I'm not in this episode, and neither is Neil Flynn.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But I want you to honestly tell me if you
- 20:10Speaker 1: laughed at anything in the show.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I laughed at myself. You were funny. I laughed at myself.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I laughed at myself with freaking uh with the gooch,
- 20:21Speaker 2: with gooch that should have me rolled in when he
- 20:24Speaker 2: told Gooch that it was his first kid. Yeah. I
- 20:27Speaker 2: thought that shit was hilarious. And then she wrote the song,
- 20:29Speaker 2: which was very funny.
- 20:31Speaker 1: The song was cute. She's so lovable that Kate.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Huh amazing. That was such a great grab, you know.
- 20:38Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know if we should tell the audience,
- 20:40Speaker 2: but I'm having construction in my house and last week's
- 20:43Speaker 2: episode was supposed to actually be Shay Serrano, but because
- 20:48Speaker 2: of the construction, I couldn't find a quiet place in
- 20:50Speaker 2: my in my house to uh to do the show,
- 20:54Speaker 2: and so we had to reschedule it, and Kate wound
- 20:58Speaker 2: up being a guest and she really did save the day. Man.
- 21:01Speaker 2: She was such a great guest, and I was thinking
- 21:03Speaker 2: about that before we did the show today. I was like, wow,
- 21:07Speaker 2: you know that was that was such a good episode
- 21:09Speaker 2: and she did such a great job, and it was
- 21:11Speaker 2: really good having her on.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I agree, I agree it Maybe me want to be
- 21:14Speaker 1: more proactive with reaching out to these guest stars because
- 21:17Speaker 1: sometimes it's just tricky to coordinate. But I thought Kate
- 21:20Speaker 1: was such a good addition, and also she was able
- 21:23Speaker 1: to sing some of her songs, which was so nice.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but she's back on in this episode, which is.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Ye, she's back, all right, So we'll get into the episode.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I just I thought it was a hot mess. To
- 21:34Speaker 1: be honest and listen, I can laugh my ass off
- 21:37Speaker 1: at other people, but I did not understand what was
- 21:40Speaker 1: going on in this episode. Okay, so directed by John Punch.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Well you were still in the show, Bud.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I'm just telling you. I was just watching this episode
- 21:51Speaker 1: being like, what is going on in this episode? There's
- 21:54Speaker 1: not a lot that goes on. Your whole storyline is
- 21:56Speaker 1: that you're pregnant with the second child, Carla is, and
- 22:01Speaker 1: no one cares because it's the second child, not the first.
- 22:05Speaker 1: That's your storyline, and it's a big storyline.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Well that's kind of how it is wild It goes
- 22:09Speaker 2: through shit like this, you know what I mean.
- 22:11Speaker 1: You know, so when you're telling me when Casey was
- 22:14Speaker 1: pregnant with Wilder, no one cared that dude.
- 22:17Speaker 2: There's like like Google doesn't even have Wilder listed as
- 22:21Speaker 2: Casey's child. Casey's listed is having two children, rock O Faison,
- 22:26Speaker 2: and then there's like some mystery child, like for real,
- 22:29Speaker 2: Like that's like how it is, you know what I mean?
- 22:32Speaker 2: It's this is this is legit like you know, Uh,
- 22:37Speaker 2: it's it's it's interesting when you have your second child
- 22:40Speaker 2: with someone, it's always it's always uh looked at, Well,
- 22:47Speaker 2: you did it already.
- 22:48Speaker 1: So you're saying, now, I'm not talking about being in
- 22:50Speaker 1: the public eye in Google. I'm saying in your life.
- 22:53Speaker 2: When you in your life everyone an.
- 22:55Speaker 1: To people that you were having a second child with Casey.
- 22:59Speaker 1: No one cared.
- 23:00Speaker 2: They cared, but it wasn't. Of course they care. Everyone cares,
- 23:03Speaker 2: but it's not like the first time where everybody jumps
- 23:07Speaker 2: around and is excited for you and you know, can't
- 23:10Speaker 2: you know, you guys did it and you know it's
- 23:16Speaker 2: it's a way different experience the first time than it
- 23:19Speaker 2: is the second time. The second time it's more of
- 23:21Speaker 2: a way to go congratulations.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Okay, Well you know I can't speak to that, and
- 23:28Speaker 1: neither can my my other two friends. I'll hear so
- 23:32Speaker 1: Joe uh Cox says that Joe is a joke. We
- 23:38Speaker 1: meet Sonya slash Sonny played by Sonya Day, who's a
- 23:42Speaker 1: new intern. Cox has a patient that he calls a
- 23:46Speaker 1: potato because he mister Fan Kohne I believe is his name,
- 23:50Speaker 1: and he just hasn't done he's been in a coma
- 23:53Speaker 1: for a very long time, and Cox acts like he's
- 23:55Speaker 1: totally giving up on him and he doesn't want to
- 23:57Speaker 1: be bothered with anything related to what he calls this
- 24:01Speaker 1: potato Elliott shampoo.
- 24:05Speaker 2: That was kind of rude. I thought that was probably.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I thought Cox was just as rude as Joe is,
- 24:09Speaker 2: and for him to call Joe a joke and then
- 24:12Speaker 2: to do the whole potato thing was a contradiction. Also,
- 24:16Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know about this moment right here.
- 24:22Speaker 2: I don't know how any of the interns can take
- 24:25Speaker 2: him seriously. After he said she had the bedside manner,
- 24:30Speaker 2: she had horrible bedside manner. And then he goes into
- 24:34Speaker 2: a whole rant about how someone's a potato. Yeah he
- 24:37Speaker 2: doesn't handle and how you handle it is by putting
- 24:39Speaker 2: sour cream and chives and if you're in the mood
- 24:43Speaker 2: for some protein, sprinkle a little bacon on it.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Yeah, he does seem really cold here. I mean, he
- 24:49Speaker 1: buys it back later when he reveals that he relies
- 24:53Speaker 1: on Karla to be the one who isn't as cold
- 24:58Speaker 1: about this. But it does seem even out of aracter
- 25:00Speaker 1: for Cox, because we know one of the main things
- 25:02Speaker 1: about Cox is he loves his patients more than anything.
- 25:04Speaker 1: He's a tough guy, but he'll do anything for his patients.
- 25:08Speaker 1: And then here he is opening the show talking about
- 25:11Speaker 1: doesn't want to be bothered with the guy who's in
- 25:13Speaker 1: a coma.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I didn't mind the episode. I was. I thought it
- 25:16Speaker 2: was clever that they found a way to get you
- 25:19Speaker 2: on the in the show without having your having you appear,
- 25:25Speaker 2: but having your voice still do the voiceover. They still
- 25:28Speaker 2: found a way to wrap it up with the voiceover
- 25:30Speaker 2: at the end, too, which I thought was kind of clever, Like,
- 25:33Speaker 2: there are a couple of months. I get it. You know,
- 25:36Speaker 2: you're not in it. I feel the same way about
- 25:38Speaker 2: the shit that I'm not in. You know, I didn't
- 25:41Speaker 2: laugh as much. I felt like, you know, hey, Zack's
- 25:44Speaker 2: not in it. This doesn't feel right.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Uh listen, I wouldn't. I'm I promise.
- 25:49Speaker 2: I feel like this is where the attempt where Bill
- 25:51Speaker 2: was like, well, hu, maybe we could do a show
- 25:55Speaker 2: without Zach.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 2: It was if like you know, the law longevity thing,
- 26:00Speaker 2: because around this time you were definitely saying out loud, dude,
- 26:05Speaker 2: I don't know if I can do this anymore.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I was ready to leave the show, and I
- 26:10Speaker 1: think the show was coming to a natural end, and
- 26:13Speaker 1: this does feel like a test case for what's the
- 26:16Speaker 1: show like without JD. I know that Neil maybe maybe
- 26:19Speaker 1: Neil too, because I think Neil announced that he was
- 26:22Speaker 1: going to leave as well at the end of eight.
- 26:26Speaker 1: So and listen, I'm not I really. I know. It
- 26:29Speaker 1: sounds like like I'm just saying I didn't like it
- 26:32Speaker 1: because I'm not in it. That's not true. I love
- 26:33Speaker 1: all of these hilarious actors on the show. I just
- 26:36Speaker 1: think this one was a little mad, That's all I'm saying.
- 26:39Speaker 1: There's also not a single fantasy, which is an interesting
- 26:41Speaker 1: thing because it's pretty rare that a Scrubs episode has
- 26:43Speaker 1: no fantasies. But the guy with the fantasies isn't in
- 26:46Speaker 1: the show, so I guess Bill could have rationalized that somehow.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I feel like the show was relying on the comedy
- 26:53Speaker 2: of the n the outrageousness of the characters to survive
- 27:00Speaker 2: without the fantasy. At this moment. It was really interesting
- 27:03Speaker 2: that there was no fantasy, but there was a lot
- 27:05Speaker 2: of like weird things that, you know, the gooch hiding
- 27:08Speaker 2: behind the the you know, they tried to make it
- 27:11Speaker 2: so that you know, Ted was hiding the gooch perfectly
- 27:15Speaker 2: behind him, so every time there was a reveal, she
- 27:17Speaker 2: could have her cute little wave. There were different ways
- 27:20Speaker 2: to try and still be quirky and stuff. It just
- 27:23Speaker 2: wasn't It just wasn't the same show. It definitely isn't
- 27:26Speaker 2: the same. It wasn't the show.
- 27:27Speaker 1: I just don't understand the storylines. It's like the storylines
- 27:30Speaker 1: are literally Elliott is completely obsessed with JD and can't
- 27:34Speaker 1: be without him for two seconds, which is.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Trying to set up this that they love each other.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I know, but it just feels out a character isn't
- 27:40Speaker 1: for Elliott, like Jady's gone and she's so.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Well, you remember how she was with Keith when Keith
- 27:45Speaker 2: wasn't around. No, I forgot what was she like when
- 27:48Speaker 2: she was the same way.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Look, I'm just saying she's she's They're trying to set
- 27:55Speaker 2: up that she's head over heels in love with this guy,
- 27:58Speaker 2: and that he's head over here in love with him,
- 28:01Speaker 2: and this is a great way to set it up
- 28:03Speaker 2: also by removing one of them, and they've removed her
- 28:06Speaker 2: before but he has Turk, you know what I mean.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Now they remove they remove him, and she has she's
- 28:14Speaker 2: so in love that, you know, well, and Carla's going
- 28:19Speaker 2: through some really awesome stuff too, you know what I mean.
- 28:21Speaker 2: And she gets the response that she wanted with the
- 28:24Speaker 2: jump around, and I don't know, man, I just feel
- 28:26Speaker 2: like I feel like, yeah, I get it. It doesn't
- 28:29Speaker 2: it doesn't feel like the same show, but it definitely
- 28:31Speaker 2: pushed the story forward.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I just want to listen to you what the show's about,
- 28:37Speaker 1: all right. Turk's excited that he and Carl are gonna
- 28:40Speaker 1: have their second baby, and no one's excited. Elliott is
- 28:43Speaker 1: obsessed with JD because he's gone. Carla, I don't know,
- 28:49Speaker 1: she's feeling.
- 28:50Speaker 2: She's missing something. She's look, she's I don't know, I
- 28:53Speaker 2: don't I dot that I didn't understand either. She has
- 28:55Speaker 2: she's having a kid. I got the fact that she
- 28:58Speaker 2: she wanted that old feeling of being needed and wanted
- 29:02Speaker 2: at the hospital, and then when she did get that,
- 29:04Speaker 2: she turned her back on it because she has other
- 29:07Speaker 2: things going on, like she's having a baby. And you're
- 29:10Speaker 2: absolutely right as far as saying the dots don't necessarily connect,
- 29:14Speaker 2: but some of them really do connect, like the one
- 29:17Speaker 2: that you're taught, the one that you're kind of pooh
- 29:20Speaker 2: poohing on with Elliott. It's just setting up for you,
- 29:23Speaker 2: guys getting married and engaged in all of that stuff.
- 29:26Speaker 2: That's what it's really setting up. It's setting up that
- 29:29Speaker 2: she's so in love that even and that you're so
- 29:32Speaker 2: in love that even when you're not there, you two
- 29:34Speaker 2: are thinking of each other.
- 29:36Speaker 1: All right, well, let's talk through it more, Elliott. There's
- 29:39Speaker 1: a whole bit about Elliott champooing with beer. Everyone thinks
- 29:41Speaker 1: that she's drunk, but it's just because she's now shampooing
- 29:44Speaker 1: with beer that's weird for some reason. And then she
- 29:47Speaker 1: I missed what the setup was, but she reveals that
- 29:49Speaker 1: the dress that she's wearing only looks good without a bra,
- 29:52Speaker 1: and if she gets cold, it looks like she's smuggling
- 29:55Speaker 1: candy corns.
- 29:57Speaker 2: And then she gets cold, and.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Then she gets cold and she's run out because her
- 30:01Speaker 1: nipples get hard. I didn't I didn't really track what
- 30:04Speaker 1: was happening there.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Man.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I like Sarah talking about her hard nipples, but that's
- 30:06Speaker 1: all I heard.
- 30:07Speaker 3: I think they were suggesting weirdly that she was getting
- 30:11Speaker 3: turned on by this woman talking about her like fifty
- 30:13Speaker 3: year relationship with her husband. Because yeah, because later the
- 30:18Speaker 3: blonde intern is like, yeah, I was kind of getting
- 30:21Speaker 3: Randy in there too, and that she talks about wanting
- 30:23Speaker 3: to screw the big dude.
- 30:26Speaker 2: It's a weird episode, Joe Jill.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Now you finally wade in on it being a weird episode,
- 30:32Speaker 1: So it doesn't sound like I'm the only one.
- 30:35Speaker 2: Who I'm not saying that this isn't a weird episode.
- 30:39Speaker 2: I'm saying it definitely feels out of place. But I'm
- 30:43Speaker 2: also saying it definitely pushes the needle forward with the
- 30:47Speaker 2: story that we keep getting caught up on.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know how it pushes anything forward. What
- 30:53Speaker 1: does it push forward? That Sarah, that Elliot's in love
- 30:55Speaker 1: of JD that doesn't need any pushing forward?
- 30:57Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it kind of does, because it's a it's
- 31:00Speaker 2: a huge shift in story that I don't know. The
- 31:04Speaker 2: first time it happened, it felt way more believable. Now
- 31:07Speaker 2: this time I don't even remember how it happened or
- 31:09Speaker 2: where it happened. It's just somehow in this in this season,
- 31:13Speaker 2: they're in love, you know what I mean?
- 31:14Speaker 1: I don't remember either. And even when they're like together
- 31:17Speaker 1: in the hospital, they seem like obviously they're in love
- 31:20Speaker 1: and they're a good couple, but this is like, because
- 31:22Speaker 1: he's gone for some reason, they're like obsessively codependent, texting
- 31:28Speaker 1: each other every second. That's not like, that's not them.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Did they ever say where JD is?
- 31:33Speaker 2: No, he's just off Oh god, they do.
- 31:36Speaker 3: He's at another hospital seeing somebody. They have like a
- 31:40Speaker 3: goofy name for the patient, and it sounds like maybe
- 31:43Speaker 3: JD is consistently seeing this person off site, but it
- 31:45Speaker 3: wasn't one clear on that either.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I'm in funny if they're like, if they're like Sacred
- 31:51Speaker 1: Heart has a new contract where each doctor has to
- 31:53Speaker 1: appear disappear for a week at a time. Okay, so
- 32:02Speaker 1: Joe needs action. We learn that Joe is horny but.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Only like but only likes action from large fellas. Large
- 32:11Speaker 2: fellows because and and and Elliott feels the same way
- 32:14Speaker 2: because they are grateful and are willing to do.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Well. I don't know about that, but Joe really, that's
- 32:25Speaker 1: what she said. Well, she's very interested in larger fellas,
- 32:30Speaker 1: and every time she gets all yeah that, she says
- 32:32Speaker 1: they work hard at it, and she sees she gets
- 32:35Speaker 1: all worked up. She keeps spotting bigger guys in the
- 32:38Speaker 1: cafeteria and uh and getting all riled up. Ted and
- 32:43Speaker 1: Goucher are a couple, and Ted is taken upon himself
- 32:45Speaker 1: to to go around and find anyone that said he
- 32:48Speaker 1: would never have a girlfriend and point out that he
- 32:52Speaker 1: does now and her name is Gooch.
- 32:55Speaker 2: By revealing her Yes.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Every time Scrubs Wiki had a little something on this,
- 33:00Speaker 1: you'll be happy to know. Ted mentions that Gouch is
- 33:03Speaker 1: his first girlfriend. However, earlier in the series it's mentioned
- 33:06Speaker 1: that he used to have a wife, and it also
- 33:10Speaker 1: mentions having a junior high girlfriend in season four, explaining
- 33:14Speaker 1: to Janetor that he got his girlfriend in junior high
- 33:18Speaker 1: by getting her best friend to like him by posing
- 33:22Speaker 1: as her dad so she could rent a car. See
- 33:32Speaker 1: that's funny, that's funny. Gosh, I'm glad we're not doing
- 33:38Speaker 1: this episode for the live show because I wouldn't have it.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I wouldn't have that would be interesting because this is
- 33:44Speaker 2: what would have fallen on.
- 33:47Speaker 1: I know you're right. We have to go by the
- 33:49Speaker 1: way people. Anyone who asked us why we why we
- 33:52Speaker 1: reverted to doing the musical. It's because we don't want
- 33:55Speaker 1: to do an hour, hour and a half live show
- 33:57Speaker 1: in front of two thousand people and not have it
- 33:59Speaker 1: be an episode that we know is one of our
- 34:01Speaker 1: favorites and that we know we can talk about in
- 34:03Speaker 1: a funny way like Donald's right, this is one the
- 34:06Speaker 1: one that would have fallen on on on the live
- 34:09Speaker 1: show and we both would have been like, uh.
- 34:11Speaker 2: So, so what else? Anybody need us to fix your life?
- 34:16Speaker 1: Yes? Do any of you people need to have your
- 34:19Speaker 1: life fix?
- 34:20Speaker 6: Oh?
- 34:21Speaker 1: By the way, we could do it fixed on life.
- 34:22Speaker 1: This show is getting gonna get too long, but I
- 34:24Speaker 1: mean we could also do a fix your Life.
- 34:26Speaker 2: We could. We could definitely do one.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Did you guys practice the songs we're gonna practice on
- 34:31Speaker 1: the day on Saturday? Donald, Donald, I have Donald, I
- 34:34Speaker 1: know them, but we're gonna have lyric sheets and then
- 34:38Speaker 1: we have a rehearsal with the piano player on Saturday. Okay, cool, great.
- 34:44Speaker 1: So what Joel's idea is, Donald, is that each of
- 34:46Speaker 1: the audiences is going to be each of the sections
- 34:48Speaker 1: of the audience. There's three tiers, so they could each
- 34:52Speaker 1: be given a line.
- 34:53Speaker 2: So I think Tier one, I think the balcony should
- 34:56Speaker 2: start with No, where do you think there'll be the loudest?
- 35:00Speaker 1: The orchestra is the biggest, I think, where do you think.
- 35:03Speaker 2: They'll be the loudest? Where do you think they'll be
- 35:04Speaker 2: The Balthroism is always the loudest. Yeah, So don't you
- 35:07Speaker 2: think we should start with the loudest first to set
- 35:10Speaker 2: the tone.
- 35:11Speaker 3: No, you should end with the loudest so you can
- 35:12Speaker 3: build to them.
- 35:13Speaker 2: So we'll start with the So we start with the orchestra, Hey,
- 35:17Speaker 2: miss Miller, we just need a stool sample.
- 35:21Speaker 1: And then they're why.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Because the answer is not in their head, my dear,
- 35:30Speaker 2: it's but.
- 35:32Speaker 1: And then there's and then there's the other lines, and
- 35:34Speaker 1: then we can have Bill do the Mike Schwartz line. Yeah, okay,
- 35:39Speaker 1: we gotta figure that out. On Saturday, guys were quick
- 35:42Speaker 1: breaking and be right back with more of the show,
- 35:50Speaker 1: and we're.
- 35:50Speaker 2: B This is the first episode where we actually do
- 35:55Speaker 2: deal with death this season. To be honest with you, it's.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Not really even dealt with she just dies and knowing.
- 36:00Speaker 2: It she died, but also the guy on life support too.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Since we started this season, we've been talking about how,
- 36:09Speaker 2: or at least I have I've been reminding you how
- 36:11Speaker 2: wholesome ABC has been and how nobody's died and how uh,
- 36:17Speaker 2: you know, everything's always wrapped up in the boat. This
- 36:20Speaker 2: is the first episode where somebody does die and we
- 36:25Speaker 2: don't even it's not even dealt with. It's just dismissed
- 36:28Speaker 2: like it was nothing. Yeah.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Yeah, all we know about her is that she was
- 36:32Speaker 1: Kelso's friend. Oh, and that sets off a conversation about
- 36:36Speaker 1: how she died because she was with her husband for
- 36:38Speaker 1: over fifty years and when he died, she didn't last
- 36:41Speaker 1: much longer, which which then makes Kelso confront Elliott. What
- 36:48Speaker 1: is that whole Kelso pep talk. I didn't even understand
- 36:50Speaker 1: what's going on there.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Well, it was just explaining. Yeah, I didn't understand what
- 36:54Speaker 2: it was about. I don't know why Kelso gets into
- 36:58Speaker 2: the whole she died because, I mean maybe Elliott wanted
- 37:03Speaker 2: her to fight, and she thought she had a lot
- 37:06Speaker 2: of fight in her and that it was just pneumonia
- 37:08Speaker 2: and that's something that she could come back from, but
- 37:12Speaker 2: she didn't. Yeah, it's it's such. We had, you know,
- 37:15Speaker 2: the penis doctor on, and we talked to the penis
- 37:18Speaker 2: doctor about how, you know, what happens. Is it because
- 37:21Speaker 2: we get older and these things happen, or is it
- 37:23Speaker 2: because statistically this is you know, because we're older, statistically
- 37:28Speaker 2: things are going to hit us. But I didn't understand
- 37:31Speaker 2: the reason for Kelso saying, well.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I think it is a very common thing that I agree.
- 37:38Speaker 1: It is a couple set have big win together forever
- 37:40Speaker 1: one dies and the other one doesn't last much longer
- 37:42Speaker 1: because they they sort of feel like their reason for
- 37:46Speaker 1: being is gone, or just the grief at that age.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I mean, my father was you know, it didn't last
- 37:51Speaker 1: much longer after my sister passed away.
- 37:54Speaker 2: You know it.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I think loss and grief at a certain age, Uh,
- 38:02Speaker 1: you know, it can can can expedite your demise.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Well, I definitely, you know, I definitely feel like mood
- 38:11Speaker 2: is your mood definitely determines your health eventually.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, And but I think it's a it's
- 38:19Speaker 1: a it's a well, it's a known thing that couples
- 38:22Speaker 1: that have been together a very long time will will
- 38:24Speaker 1: sometimes pass soon after one.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Another, right, And I understand that, but I didn't understand
- 38:29Speaker 2: what the purpose was.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I understand what he was telling Elliott about. Yeah,
- 38:33Speaker 1: And then Elliott what does she do? She she like
- 38:36Speaker 1: she Then she says like, well, I'm not going to
- 38:38Speaker 1: be I'm not going to just die after j if
- 38:41Speaker 1: j D were to die, I'm not that reliant.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Well no, Then he says, I know you're full of
- 38:46Speaker 2: shit because you texted him to see if he texts
- 38:49Speaker 2: you back, and did he? And she's like, yeah, he did.
- 38:51Speaker 2: She's like, He's like, that's what I thought.
- 38:53Speaker 1: She feels like she's being called out for being so
- 38:56Speaker 1: in love, and she's sort of embarrassed because he's he
- 39:00Speaker 1: seems to be teasing her. But then but then his
- 39:04Speaker 1: message isn't teasing her, right? I just I'm just I
- 39:08Speaker 1: thought it was. Do you understand what was happening there?
- 39:12Speaker 1: It's it's like he's teasing her about it, but then
- 39:14Speaker 1: when she's like embarrassed, he's saying, no, that's that's normal.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't understand what's going on there.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I wanted to understand. I really wanted to understand. But
- 39:26Speaker 2: then after the scene was over, I was like.
- 39:27Speaker 1: Huh, maybe this may have been a week where Bill
- 39:31Speaker 1: was unforced hiatus as well. Ted's sperm doesn't have any tails.
- 39:39Speaker 6: Uh.
- 39:39Speaker 1: He says they're just blobs that roll from place to place.
- 39:44Speaker 1: That made me laugh.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I left this the first time dad song.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Yeah, Kate's song about being a first time dad, which
- 39:54Speaker 1: is a lie because you're not a first time dad.
- 39:56Speaker 1: You lied to her. Yes. So there's this intern who says,
- 40:01Speaker 1: I need help with this comentto's patient. No one's going
- 40:03Speaker 1: to be here as Sonny, and Cox says, no way
- 40:07Speaker 1: am I going to be here. I'll leave it to Carla.
- 40:09Speaker 1: And then Carla surprisingly doesn't do what she always does
- 40:14Speaker 1: and hang around even if her shift is over. She
- 40:17Speaker 1: goes home and Cox is like what the fuck? And
- 40:20Speaker 1: he races to her house. It's like, what are you doing?
- 40:22Speaker 1: I'm the one who I get to not give a
- 40:25Speaker 1: damn because because I know that you always will. What's
- 40:27Speaker 1: happened to you?
- 40:29Speaker 2: Just so fucked up, which is so fun. The man
- 40:32Speaker 2: runs to the woman's house and says, what the fuck?
- 40:35Speaker 2: How come you're not watching the kids when I go home?
- 40:38Speaker 2: I want to go home, and you're not watching the kids.
- 40:40Speaker 1: This is your job, that's true. I didn't even think
- 40:44Speaker 1: of it like that. That's true.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I was like when that happened, I was like, oh shit.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't even think about that. It's kind of
- 40:55Speaker 1: fucked up when you put it like that. But also
- 40:59Speaker 1: it's like like Carla, Like what had changed with Carla?
- 41:02Speaker 1: First of all, she's never done that and h and right,
- 41:08Speaker 1: she's never done that.
- 41:09Speaker 3: No, and they don't give a valid reason for why
- 41:11Speaker 3: she does it here it's.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Right, no, right, But at the end she's found something
- 41:16Speaker 2: new and something old. It's like it's like, wow, okay.
- 41:22Speaker 1: Yeah, why did she do it then? Because she all
- 41:24Speaker 1: of a sudden, I guess she's pregnant, so she wanted
- 41:26Speaker 1: to go home and be on the couch and eat
- 41:27Speaker 1: potato chips. But then Cox teases her just really quickly
- 41:31Speaker 1: about it, and then the next day she's back to
- 41:33Speaker 1: doing it.
- 41:34Speaker 2: It was strange. I don't know she felt guilty. I
- 41:37Speaker 2: know she feels guilty about leaving Sonny alone in.
- 41:40Speaker 3: The She didn't even hook her up with somebody else
- 41:43Speaker 3: who could hold her hand through what I know it
- 41:44Speaker 3: easily be a traumatic experience of like I have to
- 41:47Speaker 3: keep this guy alive so his sister can say her
- 41:49Speaker 3: last goodbye. Is it's such her stressful situation for a
- 41:52Speaker 3: young doctor, and nobody was like, we can't be here
- 41:56Speaker 3: for you. But like, here's another possible person. It just
- 41:59Speaker 3: doesn't seem like a hawk's thing to do, you know
- 42:01Speaker 3: what I mean? Like, I really think he would have
- 42:02Speaker 3: set her up with someone somebody.
- 42:04Speaker 2: There's all the nurses in the hospital.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Right, exactly, there's other people that work in this giant hospital.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Strange. That ship was nuts. She goes and she goes
- 42:14Speaker 2: through it that night, too, said, he goes through it.
- 42:16Speaker 2: He codes, Yeah, dude, stops.
- 42:18Speaker 1: She's frazzled. She shot herself up with dopamine.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and apparently dop can you do that?
- 42:26Speaker 1: Or you can shoot yourself with dopaine. I don't know
- 42:27Speaker 1: what it does to you.
- 42:28Speaker 2: It's got to be healthy, right, because that's all any well,
- 42:32Speaker 2: everything we do, because look, everything we do is dopamine, right,
- 42:36Speaker 2: Every joy we feel, every pain we feel is dopamine.
- 42:38Speaker 3: There's a difference between a natural thing releasing in your
- 42:41Speaker 3: brain and you.
- 42:41Speaker 1: I know, well you guys looking up, looking up for us.
- 42:43Speaker 1: What would happen if you what happens if you shoot
- 42:45Speaker 1: yourself up with dopamine? She said she feeled pretty good,
- 42:48Speaker 1: she felt She said, she.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Felt good, and then she was coming down from it
- 42:51Speaker 2: and wanted another hit. So she was worried about that
- 42:55Speaker 2: it's a treatment for Parkinson's.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Mhm, right, well, I think she was using it because
- 43:01Speaker 1: she was coding. I'm guessing. I'm just curious what happens
- 43:03Speaker 1: when you shoot a person who's healthy up with dopamine.
- 43:06Speaker 1: What they feel?
- 43:07Speaker 5: Uh.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Well, it says it is used to improve pumping strength
- 43:14Speaker 4: of the heart and improve blood flow to the kidneys.
- 43:17Speaker 4: Dopamine is used to treat certain conditions that occur when
- 43:19Speaker 4: you are in shock, which may be caused by heart attack, trauma, surgery,
- 43:22Speaker 4: heart failure, kidney failure. Yeah, it looks like it's just
- 43:24Speaker 4: used to like help, yeah, help regulate your heart pumping blood.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Like I know, but I'm sure, go ahead. I'm sure
- 43:30Speaker 1: that a healthy person is going to have some feeling
- 43:32Speaker 1: that they've been shot up with dopamine. We just don't
- 43:34Speaker 1: know what it is.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Well, apparently it doesn't cross the blood brain barrier, so
- 43:37Speaker 4: it won't change your feelings or mood.
- 43:40Speaker 1: I don't know, Joelle text doctor Penis.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Let's take a break.
- 43:45Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Whether it be taking a poop, whether it be a finger,
- 43:57Speaker 2: whether it be a tongue, whether it you know, everybody
- 44:00Speaker 2: likes little ass like, did it fuck you up for
- 44:03Speaker 2: a little bit when you real when you found out
- 44:06Speaker 2: that the feelings that you feel are just dopamine being
- 44:09Speaker 2: shot through your system, it's all chemicals. Yeah, did it
- 44:12Speaker 2: fuck you up at first when you found that out? Yeah?
- 44:15Speaker 2: But it took me up for like a week. I
- 44:17Speaker 2: was like, fuck, it's.
- 44:18Speaker 1: A good lesson for for the other side too, when
- 44:21Speaker 1: you're when you're down and you're pressed, you're just like,
- 44:23Speaker 1: oh my I'm just my brain is filled with the
- 44:25Speaker 1: other chemicals or a lack thereof that are that were
- 44:28Speaker 1: causing these reactions. So it's good to know.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Yeah, but it fucked me up at first because it
- 44:33Speaker 2: made me at first feel like my love wasn't real.
- 44:36Speaker 2: It was just a chemical reaction that my body was sending. Well,
- 44:41Speaker 2: it's a it's a it's real talk, man, it can
- 44:44Speaker 2: It really does fuck you up when Bill Nye says
- 44:47Speaker 2: that ship to you and you're like, what.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Well, you know on the opposite side of that, think
- 44:52Speaker 4: that it is the act of love that makes that
- 44:55Speaker 4: feeling happen in your body. It is it is that
- 44:59Speaker 4: you are in love that you release those chemicals. It's
- 45:01Speaker 4: not it's not one versus the other, you know.
- 45:04Speaker 2: I wish that there was a way that you could
- 45:06Speaker 2: take that sack of chemicals, you know when they when
- 45:10Speaker 2: you're in the hospital and they got you connected to
- 45:13Speaker 2: like this is not I've never been connected to it.
- 45:16Speaker 2: But there's like that button that you press and it
- 45:17Speaker 2: releases the right. I wish there was a button that
- 45:22Speaker 2: you could press that would release that feeling of dopamine.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Like that would be the best thing. That would be
- 45:30Speaker 2: so great. I feel horrible today, but not no more.
- 45:35Speaker 2: That would be so we.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Know that ecstasy Donald and you can find it.
- 45:40Speaker 2: That's that's a that's a completely different chemical than dopamine. Well,
- 45:46Speaker 2: dopamine ain't got nothing on ecstasy.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Well, I don't know what M d M A is released,
- 45:52Speaker 1: what what chemicals is?
- 45:53Speaker 2: It's spiking that has you feeling like a champion. According
- 45:57Speaker 2: to the New York.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Song Sarah to in for sure, right, Daniel, Yes, let
- 46:03Speaker 1: me read what's MDMA? What's MDMA firing? Which which of
- 46:07Speaker 1: those chemicals is it? Let's find out. Do you know
- 46:09Speaker 1: any Seattle trivia? Maybe I'll on stage, I'll ask you
- 46:12Speaker 1: some Seattle trivia.
- 46:14Speaker 2: I don't know any I know that Mount Saint Helena
- 46:18Speaker 2: could erupt any.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Day, hopefully not while we're there, hopefully not. Just just
- 46:23Speaker 4: make sure that you shout out all the teams like
- 46:24Speaker 4: we got. Any Kracking fans in the building, shout out.
- 46:27Speaker 2: The Sonic fans, any Sonic fans.
- 46:30Speaker 4: Now, do not say the Sonics because that is a
- 46:32Speaker 4: bitter point for Seattle. Losing this Losing the Seattle SuperSonics
- 46:39Speaker 4: was not fun for Seattle fans.
- 46:41Speaker 2: No, they were not a happy about it.
- 46:43Speaker 1: They were not.
- 46:43Speaker 4: But they love the Kracking, they love the Sounders, and
- 46:45Speaker 4: they love the Seahawks.
- 46:47Speaker 1: This is a bizarre one. Their stadium is called the
- 46:50Speaker 1: Climate Pledge Arena. It's the most progressive, responsible and sustainable
- 46:55Speaker 1: arena in the world.
- 46:56Speaker 3: That's dope, isn't he Out of the city where the
- 46:58Speaker 3: soccer players march to the theater to the arena, that's
- 47:01Speaker 3: like a whole big procession. Is either Portland or Seattle,
- 47:06Speaker 3: and I can't remember, but if it's Seattle, I would
- 47:08Speaker 3: like our fans to come to the theater that way.
- 47:10Speaker 3: Just shut down a street in all your onesies, marching
- 47:14Speaker 3: directly to the theater.
- 47:15Speaker 4: March to the match, the March of the Mattress. Yeah,
- 47:17Speaker 4: that's the Seattle Sounders. Good culture.
- 47:18Speaker 3: Amazing, what an amazing tradition.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I love sports. Tell yeah here, Donald, you might know
- 47:23Speaker 1: this one. Now we're retired. What Seattle Seahawks running back
- 47:27Speaker 1: famously said, I'm just here so I don't get fined
- 47:30Speaker 1: in a twenty fifteen medias.
- 47:34Speaker 2: The skittles eater. I don't know this reference. He loved skittles.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Why do you know that he loves skittles because.
- 47:44Speaker 2: That's one of his things?
- 47:47Speaker 1: Oh?
- 47:47Speaker 2: How am I forgetting his name? Of Well? I smoked
- 47:49Speaker 2: the weed? Mar Shaan Lynch Marsh, Yes, yes Lynch.
- 47:54Speaker 1: What's Seattle born musician famous for. I'm not going to
- 47:58Speaker 1: say the songs. I'll give it a was named by
- 48:01Speaker 1: Rolling Stone as the greatest guitarist of all time.
- 48:05Speaker 2: That's impossible because Prince is the greatest guitarist of all time.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Well, this thing disagrees with Rolling Stone. You disagree with
- 48:14Speaker 1: Rolling Stone.
- 48:15Speaker 2: It's Jimmy Hendrix greatest guitarist all time.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Rolling Stone said, Jimmy Hendrix.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Jimmy Hendricks is innovative. I don't know, man, I just
- 48:24Speaker 2: know that the guitarists, after they heard Prince perform at
- 48:29Speaker 2: the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, most guitarists, most guitarists,
- 48:33Speaker 2: after hearing him finally perform, realized what a lot of
- 48:37Speaker 2: people realized before, that he is one of the baddest
- 48:40Speaker 2: motherfuckers ever to pick up a guitar. Period. Jimmy Hendrix
- 48:47Speaker 2: also one of the baddest motherfuckers to ever pick up
- 48:50Speaker 2: a guitar also. But when I last heard all of
- 48:56Speaker 2: these people's impressions of who was the best, they said
- 49:00Speaker 2: it might be somebody else. Now what.
- 49:03Speaker 1: A very elevated revolving restaurant in Seattle, Washington was built
- 49:07Speaker 1: for the nineteen sixty two World's Fair. It's very skinny
- 49:11Speaker 1: looking with some futuristic touches. Cherry Sonko the space Needle.
- 49:18Speaker 2: I've been on a space needle in the space needle.
- 49:21Speaker 1: You've been on it in it.
- 49:23Speaker 2: I looked at St. Helena from the space needle.
- 49:25Speaker 1: All right, here's your last one. An otherwise nondescript wall
- 49:29Speaker 1: at the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington is covered
- 49:32Speaker 1: with what sticky substance. It is a hard substance that
- 49:36Speaker 1: traditionally comes from trees, and his wall this fucking ruins.
- 49:40Speaker 2: It these nuts.
- 49:45Speaker 1: It's not these nuts it's called the gum wall. It's
- 49:49Speaker 1: covered with gum gum. All right, let's finish this show.
- 49:54Speaker 1: So did we take a seconds? All right, We'll be
- 49:57Speaker 1: right back to finish the show. Come back. I promise
- 50:00Speaker 1: you the show gets better.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Ever bad.
- 50:09Speaker 1: We're bad.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Everybody likes little ass Flay.
- 50:11Speaker 6: Don't even act like Zach and Donald Gay newlyweds in
- 50:15Speaker 6: house arrest.
- 50:16Speaker 1: That's true. You honor me, You honor me. Zacha love you.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I know, girl, but not here. Zacha loves you. We
- 50:23Speaker 1: calm down, Zacha love you. Listen. Oh my god, I
- 50:29Speaker 1: watched this documentary. You guys are not going to believe.
- 50:32Speaker 1: It's so insane. It's about this family that thinks they
- 50:36Speaker 1: adopt a child, but the child might be they don't know.
- 50:42Speaker 1: I mean, it's still never really fully answered. Sorry for
- 50:44Speaker 1: the spoilers, but she's definitely not as young as they
- 50:47Speaker 1: think she is when they adopt her. They think she's
- 50:49Speaker 1: six years old, and she's, uh, she's anywhere between like
- 50:56Speaker 1: twelve and twenty oh word. And it's the most bizarre
- 51:03Speaker 1: story you've ever heard, with a lot of bizarre characters.
- 51:09Speaker 1: What's it called a.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Horror movie named like Annabella or some shit like that.
- 51:15Speaker 1: It's it's just I mean, I'm telling you you have
- 51:18Speaker 1: to watch this thing. It's called The Curious Case of Oh,
- 51:21Speaker 1: there it is.
- 51:22Speaker 2: The orphan was based off of this.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Oh, the orphan was based off it. All right, well
- 51:28Speaker 1: this is like that. What's it called the Curious Case
- 51:30Speaker 1: of something? Of the woman's name, I think, but it's
- 51:33Speaker 1: on Max And uh. I said it to Christa Miller
- 51:37Speaker 1: because she likes stuff like this too, and she's she
- 51:40Speaker 1: text She texted me, she goes, I've been up till
- 51:42Speaker 1: midnight and Bill told me I had to turn the
- 51:43Speaker 1: TV off.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Casey's obsessed with this. Yeah, it's everybody's obsessied.
- 51:50Speaker 1: And it ended kind of abruptly, like I was. I
- 51:54Speaker 1: was kind of like, because I.
- 51:55Speaker 2: Think something happened with the two of them, Like I
- 51:57Speaker 2: think there's like a relationship that's well between the three.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Now what happens is that the wife is good supposed
- 52:03Speaker 1: to go on trial sorry spoilers, and then they decide
- 52:07Speaker 1: not to prosecutor. So it felt like the documentary was
- 52:09Speaker 1: going to continue with the wife's prosecution, but then the
- 52:12Speaker 1: prosecutors decide not to prosecutor. So just the show's over.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I mean, maybe it'll be to be continued, but it's
- 52:18Speaker 1: just kind of like, wait, what, No, did you guys
- 52:21Speaker 1: find the name of it for me? The Curious Case
- 52:26Speaker 1: of Natalia Grace. All right, watch that on Max. That's
- 52:30Speaker 1: my weekly recommendation.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Yes, Donald, you know, I always feel like movies are
- 52:36Speaker 2: made to desensitize you from things that are going to
- 52:38Speaker 2: happen in the news and stuff like that. And to
- 52:42Speaker 2: find out that the orphan is based on this shit
- 52:47Speaker 2: and that it validates my theory one is gratifying too. However,
- 52:54Speaker 2: is very scary, man Like the fact that this could
- 52:59Speaker 2: happen and people not know that a child that they're
- 53:03Speaker 2: adopting is actually an adult is uh.
- 53:07Speaker 1: It's really bizarre. I can't fully describe how it all unfolds,
- 53:10Speaker 1: and and and then just when you think you gotta
- 53:13Speaker 1: handle on it.
- 53:15Speaker 7: Child, that's a straight up what the fuck?
- 53:27Speaker 1: Good lord? All right, well, let's wrap it up. Listen.
- 53:29Speaker 1: We'd love to give you a good show. It's hard
- 53:31Speaker 1: to give you a great show, an A plus show
- 53:34Speaker 1: when we're all a little bit confused by the episode.
- 53:37Speaker 1: But we we love chatting with you, we love talking
- 53:40Speaker 1: to each other. We're all excited to do this live show,
- 53:44Speaker 1: and I guess that's it. Any last words, Donald, anything
- 53:49Speaker 1: you want to put it into the Ether's.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Have a great show, guys. Let's have a great show.
- 53:55Speaker 1: Yeah, let's have fun.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Joy the time that we have with each other in
- 54:00Speaker 2: that space more theater.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Let's just hope that no one comes up to us
- 54:04Speaker 1: after and says, you guys look like you're having so
- 54:07Speaker 1: much fun. That feels like gonna say after my dj
- 54:12Speaker 1: I said.
- 54:13Speaker 2: That would be the best moment Everard, you guys look
- 54:15Speaker 2: like you guys, You guys looked like you were having
- 54:17Speaker 2: so much fun up there.
- 54:19Speaker 1: It's gonna be okay, we love you.
- 54:23Speaker 2: If somebody says that, you know what I'm going to
- 54:24Speaker 2: say to them what we so were.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Yeah, the truth is we are gonna have a lot
- 54:30Speaker 1: of fun, all right. We love your count sound Donald?
- 54:35Speaker 2: Eight stories?
- 54:37Speaker 6: I'm not sure we made about a bunch of dogs
- 54:41Speaker 6: and nurses And he said he's the stories Net, so
- 54:50Speaker 6: yeahda here yeah here, But
- 54:57Speaker 2: No
