- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome into this week's episode of Inside the Charge. Right
- 0:03Speaker 1: guard Osigris Torrence joins us. Torrens talks about year two
- 0:07Speaker 1: in the NFL and why he's better prepared for the
- 0:09Speaker 1: playoffs this time around, how the offensive line as a
- 0:12Speaker 1: whole is playing out of their minds this season. We
- 0:15Speaker 1: also get into the fact that Cybo bought a huge
- 0:18Speaker 1: property this offseason with a lot of acres, what he
- 0:21Speaker 1: plans to do with that space, why he loves fishing,
- 0:24Speaker 1: a little bit about cooking, and maybe a cookbook on
- 0:27Speaker 1: the way. All this and more in today's episode. You
- 0:30Speaker 1: don't want to miss it. Cybo, thanks so much for
- 0:42Speaker 1: taking the time to sit down with us. As we
- 0:44Speaker 1: move into the final weeks the season. The playoffs are here.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You played in the postseason in your first year, your
- 0:53Speaker 1: rookie season. What makes you better prepared for the playoffs
- 0:56Speaker 1: in year two.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I feel like just intensity of the playoffs. I gotta
- 1:02Speaker 2: feel for it now after last year, and I just
- 1:04Speaker 2: know a little bit more what to expect. Last year,
- 1:06Speaker 2: I said, it's kind of just going into it expecting
- 1:08Speaker 2: it to be like another game, another intense game, but
- 1:11Speaker 2: it's it's a little bit more than like it's more
- 1:14Speaker 2: energy and more emotions, so it's just more of a
- 1:16Speaker 2: high caliber game. And then each round it just builds up.
- 1:19Speaker 2: So the second round was more since then the first round,
- 1:21Speaker 2: and I pinty is gonna get even more intense as
- 1:24Speaker 2: we go deeper. So it's just give me the experience.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I feel like it's just the best type of progression
- 1:30Speaker 2: you can get just having a raw experience.
- 1:32Speaker 1: You explain the energy, the emotion surrounding a playoff game.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Is there anything that you have to do to manage
- 1:38Speaker 1: that ahead of a game.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I like to keep it the same thing, like to
- 1:44Speaker 2: prepare the same way, set the moment, don't get too big.
- 1:46Speaker 2: But I also like let the emotions like take over
- 1:50Speaker 2: and do what they gotta do or let them flow
- 1:51Speaker 2: through about it that I think about in good situations,
- 1:53Speaker 2: thinking about the best situation. I just let everything happen
- 1:56Speaker 2: in my mind and I just be okay with it.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Toward when I go out there, I can still play
- 2:00Speaker 2: as well as I've been all season, or even better.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So I feel like it's definitely more intense and a
- 2:04Speaker 2: lot more to think about, but I try to let
- 2:07Speaker 2: it get to me because it is just another game,
- 2:08Speaker 2: even though the the what you call it, the rewards
- 2:13Speaker 2: a bit bigger, but it's still like the regular game.
- 2:16Speaker 2: So I keep my routine the same, but most of
- 2:19Speaker 2: the stuff a little bit.
- 2:20Speaker 3: More up there.
- 2:21Speaker 1: What does a pregame routine look like for O Cyrus Torments?
- 2:26Speaker 2: Like if it's an away game, I get in like
- 2:28Speaker 2: the second to second to last bus, and I just
- 2:31Speaker 2: get in and I go straight and I walk around
- 2:33Speaker 2: the locker room a little bit. My little fit on,
- 2:35Speaker 2: so I still, you know, kind of feel good a
- 2:36Speaker 2: little bit. I go so well and Jason, they've been
- 2:40Speaker 2: there stretching. I like to set up my little game
- 2:41Speaker 2: they fit every now and then just sew my little range.
- 2:43Speaker 2: But after I do that, I kind of go sit
- 2:45Speaker 2: in my locker organize everything. Everything is the outlready there
- 2:49Speaker 2: organized by like that, like organize a little bit more.
- 2:50Speaker 2: I put my gloves and my shoes and socks in
- 2:52Speaker 2: one corner, make somewhere right there for my stuff.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Then I put on right now the out of the corner.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I kind of just kind of just set my mind before,
- 2:59Speaker 2: like what's what's gonna happen. Then after I take my
- 3:02Speaker 2: clothes off, kind of put mother stuff on stretch a
- 3:04Speaker 2: living myself, go down and get stretched by Will and
- 3:07Speaker 2: Jason again. Then kind of just make my way kind
- 3:10Speaker 2: of starts slowly, start to like just it's a locky in,
- 3:12Speaker 2: if that makes sense. Like I don't do too much.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I don't like to overwarm up because then it's like
- 3:17Speaker 2: I get to the game and I burn out a
- 3:18Speaker 2: little bit faster as somebody had to learn from last year,
- 3:21Speaker 2: Like I don't want to go out there and be
- 3:22Speaker 2: sweating and tired my warm mouth and I was like
- 3:26Speaker 2: I got cool down, then I got one back up. Then
- 3:27Speaker 2: it's like my body is like up and down a
- 3:29Speaker 2: little bit. So I kind of keep in mind focused
- 3:31Speaker 2: and just play the game out of my head, play
- 3:33Speaker 2: a few players out, you know, walkind, listen to music
- 3:35Speaker 2: and kind of keep it simple. But once it's that
- 3:38Speaker 2: twenty minutes for the game, kind of go out there
- 3:39Speaker 2: before we go out there as a team. That's why
- 3:41Speaker 2: I like really like lock In and like kind of
- 3:43Speaker 2: you know, flip the switch.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You do something before the game that I think is incredible.
- 3:49Speaker 1: You stop washing your hands a few hours before. Why
- 3:53Speaker 1: do you do that?
- 3:54Speaker 2: Because my freshman year in college, I had to I
- 4:00Speaker 2: was late coming out. I had time because I had
- 4:02Speaker 2: to use the bathroom and I had gloves on, and
- 4:04Speaker 2: then it just IM trying to wash my hands. So
- 4:07Speaker 2: I kind of just went out there with the trainings
- 4:10Speaker 2: who waited on me. Then I ended up having a
- 4:12Speaker 2: good game, Like I finished the rest of the game
- 4:14Speaker 2: of like three or four pancakes. I'm like, hold up,
- 4:16Speaker 2: maybe it's something like I keep my hands dirty. Maybe
- 4:19Speaker 2: I play a little bit better. I play a little
- 4:20Speaker 2: bit dirty and it'll grind here. So they ended up
- 4:22Speaker 2: turning into just a mentality of like playing dirty, like
- 4:26Speaker 2: playing grinding, like the type of job I have, what front,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and like you gotta get your hands dirty technically, like
- 4:31Speaker 2: not saying I'm playing like a dirty player or playing
- 4:33Speaker 2: as a like greedy like type of game. So and
- 4:35Speaker 2: then ended up turning into me just not wash my hands,
- 4:37Speaker 2: and then I kind of just started telling a few people.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Then it got out. But now it's like if it's
- 4:42Speaker 2: a home game and it's in the morning, we played
- 4:44Speaker 2: at twelve, I wake up at like eight. I was
- 4:46Speaker 2: showered and won't do everything then, but after that, once
- 4:48Speaker 2: I get to the stadium, I stopped washing my hands.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I'm done.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Like if it's a game a night or something like that,
- 4:53Speaker 2: like a few like a hour before I get on
- 4:55Speaker 2: the bus, I might stop, but if I have to,
- 4:56Speaker 2: I would. But once I get on the bus and
- 4:58Speaker 2: get to the stadium, it's no more of that.
- 5:00Speaker 3: No more.
- 5:00Speaker 2: They clean pretty stuff, likes time.
- 5:03Speaker 3: To get there. They're like, it's this one. I'm here
- 5:05Speaker 3: for us, so I love it.
- 5:06Speaker 1: You mentioned the pregame fits you have been putting it
- 5:10Speaker 1: on this season sidebo I love the outfits. Is there
- 5:13Speaker 1: one in your mind that you think just hit way
- 5:16Speaker 1: more than the rest? Oh?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Probably I had We gon talk about it later. But
- 5:23Speaker 2: I had Animal Dragonmaw's e jackets like a denim jacket,
- 5:27Speaker 2: and I had Ward for the Chiefs game. I believe
- 5:31Speaker 2: it was either that one or like a venom jacket,
- 5:32Speaker 2: but either one, it's like as just a comic book,
- 5:35Speaker 2: like I just liked that, and I like those cause
- 5:39Speaker 2: of material, and then like you don't see them too,
- 5:40Speaker 2: like I don't see nobody within. Its probably either one
- 5:43Speaker 2: of those or the one I wore last week. We
- 5:45Speaker 2: played the pages the first time, the sleeveless one because
- 5:48Speaker 2: it was like almost negative one outside. But I'm here,
- 5:51Speaker 2: no sleeves on like a true buffalo person acting like
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm not cold, but I'm freezing. But I looked the
- 5:56Speaker 2: good in the pig, so I mean it was worth it.
- 5:58Speaker 2: But probably those two, the one I was a one
- 6:00Speaker 2: e Jaco or the one I will sleep is all
- 6:01Speaker 2: of those two.
- 6:02Speaker 3: My favorite.
- 6:02Speaker 1: What are you listening to? Pregame? What do you have
- 6:05Speaker 1: in the pods?
- 6:08Speaker 2: It ranged from a lot of stuff because something to
- 6:10Speaker 2: a rap, R and B country, little rock and roll,
- 6:13Speaker 2: some little like just electrical music, instruments and stuff like that.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Every now and then anime music might come on. So
- 6:19Speaker 2: it all depends on what I feel when I'm feeling
- 6:20Speaker 2: when I hop in a truck on my way to
- 6:22Speaker 2: the stadium, moll when I get on the bus, it's
- 6:23Speaker 2: all like for me, I don't force the songs. I
- 6:26Speaker 2: just let my body like tell me what they want
- 6:28Speaker 2: to listen today. Who knows what it's gonna pick, but
- 6:30Speaker 2: usually it always gets me ready.
- 6:32Speaker 1: What can we expect for the outfits for the playoffs?
- 6:35Speaker 1: You got some stuff in mind already?
- 6:37Speaker 3: I do. I ain't glad I do. I got. I got.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I got a nice little a.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Little blue, a little blue jean jacket type fit I
- 6:44Speaker 2: got for the first home game. Then after that it's
- 6:47Speaker 2: kind of up in the air. But I'm trying to
- 6:49Speaker 2: try to try to look nice to the first playout game.
- 6:51Speaker 2: So put a little something long and not nothing too major.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Though.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Who are some guys who do it up well on
- 6:56Speaker 1: the offensive line when we're talking about game day outfits.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Off of a line, yeah, I'll say, not telling myself,
- 7:04Speaker 2: I say, Alex, I like nice little jit. I like
- 7:06Speaker 2: his little style because it ain't nothing crazy. But if
- 7:09Speaker 2: it's him and it's like, it's just it's nice, it's
- 7:12Speaker 2: like you just you can look tell us somebody know
- 7:14Speaker 2: how to like dress today to what they like, and
- 7:16Speaker 2: that's all I like to try to do when I
- 7:18Speaker 2: fit put my fists on. So see somebody that's doing
- 7:20Speaker 2: all I respected him at Just you never know what
- 7:24Speaker 2: he gonna come in wearing, so it's always something wow,
- 7:27Speaker 2: I thinking.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Or not wearing. I should say, maybe we'll see a
- 7:30Speaker 1: shirtless dion.
- 7:31Speaker 2: For the plan you might wear. Might just wear a
- 7:33Speaker 2: skin for your shirt. You never know so, or you
- 7:35Speaker 2: might wear it. You have to snow Motorsports one fit.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I like that with the with the race car helm
- 7:42Speaker 2: and stuff. I like that way you or so I mean,
- 7:44Speaker 2: you never know what young.
- 7:45Speaker 1: So it's our interestent you guys as a group, the
- 7:49Speaker 1: offensive line has been playing out of their minds this season.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You have allowed fourteen sacks on Josh Allen. That is
- 7:56Speaker 1: a league low. Last year, you guys had a league
- 7:59Speaker 1: glow twenty four sacks. You allow ten less this season.
- 8:04Speaker 1: How have you been able to play at such a
- 8:07Speaker 1: high level this year?
- 8:08Speaker 2: Oh, I I I know it's from just our communication
- 8:12Speaker 2: and how we approached it. They one and OTAs, Like
- 8:16Speaker 2: just from how we started communicating, how much better it
- 8:18Speaker 2: got it. Like I feel like us coming in knowing
- 8:20Speaker 2: like deals gonna be just started, like Dave, and like
- 8:23Speaker 2: just coming in knowing who's the starting like group was,
- 8:26Speaker 2: it was easy for us to be able to come
- 8:27Speaker 2: in and not worry about that part of the season.
- 8:29Speaker 2: We could like, oh, who's gonna start and world that
- 8:31Speaker 2: we just knew, like we just go stay to communicating,
- 8:34Speaker 2: like straight to the part we wanna fix on. I
- 8:35Speaker 2: feel like that's what was able to do this year.
- 8:37Speaker 2: We came in we already knew what our problems was
- 8:39Speaker 2: last year, was able to just get straight to fixing
- 8:41Speaker 2: on the other than trying to find our new pieces
- 8:43Speaker 2: to put in a puzzle. So I felt like that
- 8:45Speaker 2: part like into us getting a fall camp and pricing
- 8:48Speaker 2: against the defense, like how a good our defense it.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I felt like that's definitely a big part like D
- 8:53Speaker 2: line we go against for me, like the type of
- 8:55Speaker 2: style D line play. I don't like to play that style,
- 8:58Speaker 2: like the fast jetting of feel quick type guys. It's
- 9:00Speaker 2: not I prefer playing more bigger, stronger type guys because
- 9:03Speaker 2: that's just more like that's what I like to block personally,
- 9:06Speaker 2: So going to exact that type of defense definitely feel
- 9:08Speaker 2: like help me get better personally, like in my sense
- 9:11Speaker 2: of coming off the ball. And I feel like they
- 9:13Speaker 2: helped us like as a whole, like communicate well because
- 9:16Speaker 2: coaching and holes in the back and for all camp,
- 9:17Speaker 2: calling certain lists and stuff like that that you want.
- 9:19Speaker 2: So I feel like that part definitely helped us out.
- 9:22Speaker 2: And once we get on the feel, it's like we
- 9:25Speaker 2: know how Josh play from playing with him for so
- 9:27Speaker 2: long after two years, so you just kind of get
- 9:30Speaker 2: a feel for how to block the guy in front
- 9:32Speaker 2: of you.
- 9:33Speaker 3: For a quarter back's able to move in any.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Moment, Communicating well has been a big part of the
- 9:38Speaker 1: play on the season this year, what has that communication
- 9:42Speaker 1: looked like?
- 9:43Speaker 2: It's like Connor talking to Joss, Josh talking to us.
- 9:48Speaker 2: We letting Josh know what we see, and it's just
- 9:50Speaker 2: like a whole like oorchrustrated, like like operation if if
- 9:56Speaker 2: that makes sense, Like we're talking to the tight ends,
- 9:57Speaker 2: tightens talking to us. So like everybody communicating. You see
- 10:00Speaker 2: the receivers doing the hand size even though they're not
- 10:03Speaker 2: able to verbally communicate this year, signaling the sizes, running positions,
- 10:07Speaker 2: and then it just makes everything go smoother. And once
- 10:11Speaker 2: everybody's on the same page, I feel like the only
- 10:12Speaker 2: person that can.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Stop is us.
- 10:15Speaker 1: In addition to keeping the pocket completely clean for your
- 10:18Speaker 1: quarterback in Josh Allen, you guys have done a great
- 10:20Speaker 1: job of opening up the holes for the running backs.
- 10:23Speaker 1: James Cook leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Right now
- 10:27Speaker 1: we're down the street. Was that the running backs started
- 10:30Speaker 1: to go into offensive line meetings this season and that
- 10:33Speaker 1: has been a big part of why this rushing offense
- 10:37Speaker 1: has come alive. Why did the running backs and why
- 10:39Speaker 1: did you guys want that to come together into one meeting.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Because we're running back O line like this a position,
- 10:46Speaker 2: like we depend on each other, like as good as
- 10:49Speaker 2: he do make we gotta be doing good. And as
- 10:51Speaker 2: good as we're doing it, you gotta.
- 10:52Speaker 3: Be doing good.
- 10:53Speaker 2: So when when our old line coast talked us, like
- 10:57Speaker 2: when he's telling us stuff, and it was more so
- 10:58Speaker 2: like we realized, like, all right, if we fix this
- 11:01Speaker 2: and a running back don't know we fixed it, is
- 11:03Speaker 2: it really fixed? Like the running back can make it
- 11:05Speaker 2: right cut, but because I missed my block, he thinks
- 11:07Speaker 2: right cut, but it's not because I missed our block.
- 11:09Speaker 2: So it's like being on the same page is something
- 11:11Speaker 2: that we needed to do. So that's kind of where
- 11:13Speaker 2: it started at. Because a lot of places you will
- 11:15Speaker 2: see like the running back or cut the ball to
- 11:18Speaker 2: Earlan and it's a good cut, but he's not supposed
- 11:20Speaker 2: to do it because I got beat. But he only
- 11:22Speaker 2: did it because I got beat. So we need to
- 11:23Speaker 2: let him know, like you did it right there, but
- 11:24Speaker 2: the whole supposed to be out here. So it's just
- 11:26Speaker 2: us letting each other know. Our me being on the
- 11:29Speaker 2: block and he make the tackle, but it's like, oh, no,
- 11:31Speaker 2: runner back, we're supposed to go there. He's supposed to
- 11:33Speaker 2: take one step there, cut here. It's a small, small
- 11:36Speaker 2: like critique, little things that that like can make a
- 11:39Speaker 2: break a good run game. I honestly believe so. I
- 11:41Speaker 2: feel like when we had games where we rushed a
- 11:44Speaker 2: lot and had good games, we met as a as
- 11:47Speaker 2: a group. Games we didn't rush our best. I noticed,
- 11:49Speaker 2: like we didn't meet like that week. So it's like
- 11:51Speaker 2: it happed like twice, two or three times this year
- 11:54Speaker 2: we didn't meet and we may have won a game,
- 11:55Speaker 2: but our rushing wasn't it's good, and it's like, what's
- 11:57Speaker 2: going on the coast, Like we didn't beat this offense.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I'm thinking, like it can't be just that. But as
- 12:02Speaker 2: the season going, we met with them, we keep meeting
- 12:04Speaker 2: when we have good games up to meeting with him
- 12:05Speaker 2: is like maybe it's we just got to keep staying
- 12:07Speaker 2: on the same page. And it's honestly just a something.
- 12:10Speaker 1: The playoffs are here Week eighteen, the final week of
- 12:13Speaker 1: the season. Nobody sidebo is playing at one hundred percent
- 12:17Speaker 1: right now. It's just it doesn't happen in the league
- 12:20Speaker 1: when it's this long of a season. How are you
- 12:22Speaker 1: guys healthy and playing your best right now?
- 12:26Speaker 2: I feel like it's because of like the coaches and
- 12:29Speaker 2: like the people we have here, Like coach understands the
- 12:32Speaker 2: part of the season we in, so I feel like
- 12:34Speaker 2: he been kind of helping us with practice, Like this
- 12:36Speaker 2: week practice wasn't too bad and we don't hit as much.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Like we learn how to practice with each other, even
- 12:41Speaker 2: though like some days last week we have passed but
- 12:44Speaker 2: as most so we have passed on they ended in
- 12:46Speaker 2: one team period that we take them off our like
- 12:47Speaker 2: we keep passing on to our full time. But we're
- 12:49Speaker 2: pacing with each other. We're not hitting too hard, and
- 12:52Speaker 2: I feel like us offensive line wise, Coach Crone talk
- 12:54Speaker 2: about yesterday, like we know how to play with each other,
- 12:56Speaker 2: so we don't finish guys on each other's ankles and
- 12:59Speaker 2: stuff like that. We place smart, like you play for
- 13:00Speaker 2: your teammates and it's like kind of not playing Selvis
- 13:03Speaker 2: because it is offense on line. You want to pancake somebody,
- 13:05Speaker 2: but a lot of times that can cost the teammates
- 13:08Speaker 2: ain't gole honestly, So you see stuff like that in
- 13:10Speaker 2: that game, we just kind of learned how to play
- 13:12Speaker 2: with each other. I feel like that's definitely helped us
- 13:14Speaker 2: stay like kind of healthy for the most part. And
- 13:17Speaker 2: just also like I feel like everybody here takes seriously
- 13:20Speaker 2: like the extra time we get, like letting off practices,
- 13:22Speaker 2: we go home and like we like recover, we sleep,
- 13:25Speaker 2: And I feel like that's been showing because we have
- 13:27Speaker 2: been more healthy I think this year than last year.
- 13:30Speaker 2: But it's also have a like working hand with how
- 13:33Speaker 2: many PPC on training after practice, Like I'm pretty sure
- 13:35Speaker 2: it still guys in that right now working out after
- 13:36Speaker 2: we've been done with practice.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Almost an hour.
- 13:38Speaker 2: So I feel like that part of it has definitely
- 13:40Speaker 2: like shown with us being able to stay like had
- 13:44Speaker 2: not too many crazy bat isgers.
- 13:46Speaker 1: How many hours of sleep are you trying to get
- 13:47Speaker 1: every night?
- 13:48Speaker 3: I try to.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Get at least eight nice I get like six or seven, Yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 2: but when I get eight, I'd be feeling like I
- 13:55Speaker 2: always get eight. On game days like night for the game,
- 13:58Speaker 2: especially if it's a twelve flock game, have to get
- 14:00Speaker 2: at least eight because I know, like offind of burnt
- 14:02Speaker 2: out the energy real fast. So I try to get
- 14:05Speaker 2: eight on those days, but for the most time, I
- 14:07Speaker 2: get six or seven.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You spoke about the offensive line working together, and in
- 14:11Speaker 1: working together, you have to know what is everybody's strengths.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Your strength is that you're six ' five, you're three
- 14:17Speaker 1: point thirty. You're a big offensive lineman, but you have
- 14:21Speaker 1: such light feet, you move so quickly. How have you
- 14:24Speaker 1: been able to grow in your second year in this league?
- 14:28Speaker 2: I feel like I have to learn how to I
- 14:31Speaker 2: want to say, switch it up, but get out of
- 14:34Speaker 2: you said, get out of runt ruts when I get
- 14:37Speaker 2: in on Like happened after the bye week World, it
- 14:40Speaker 2: was like, just take some of the past, so you
- 14:42Speaker 2: do the same thing some of the times, you get
- 14:43Speaker 2: so used to it you stop taking the details of
- 14:46Speaker 2: it seriously and to start throwing off a little bit.
- 14:48Speaker 2: And for me, it's more so like being able to
- 14:50Speaker 2: refocus when I notice my set stuff kind of fall
- 14:52Speaker 2: off a little bit after two games, I'm not sitting
- 14:54Speaker 2: as good as I would four games before. So to
- 14:56Speaker 2: kind of refocus, I just look at some old fem
- 14:58Speaker 2: and kind of just like to myself again and kind
- 15:01Speaker 2: of go back to the basics so I can't That's
- 15:02Speaker 2: something I learned to do this year because last year
- 15:04Speaker 2: I kind of just kind of just kept my head
- 15:06Speaker 2: down and kept pushing, even though I hitting the riky
- 15:08Speaker 2: wall back to Batten just trying to go out there
- 15:11Speaker 2: and play the best I can.
- 15:12Speaker 3: On Saturday, I had Mitch, I had these older guys.
- 15:15Speaker 2: I'm playing around, sticking us to everybody switches like I'm
- 15:17Speaker 2: just trying to drown. But more so now it's like
- 15:20Speaker 2: I can just relax and focus and keep the main
- 15:23Speaker 2: thing the main thing mentally, because physically, like everybody, but
- 15:26Speaker 2: I didn't gonna feel the same.
- 15:27Speaker 3: I think mentally as well.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You separate yourself in this part of the season, So mentally,
- 15:31Speaker 2: I feel like I'm definitely like in a better area
- 15:34Speaker 2: of space than was last year.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Is there a game you like to go back to
- 15:37Speaker 1: when you like to watch tape of yourself.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Getting the cheese game and the cheese game the Lions
- 15:46Speaker 2: in Houston.
- 15:48Speaker 1: You guys played so well in those games. I mean,
- 15:50Speaker 1: those were two huge games. This team is the first
- 15:54Speaker 1: team in NFL history to beat two fourteen win teams
- 15:57Speaker 1: in the in the season. You beat the fifth teen
- 16:00Speaker 1: to one Chiefs, you beat the fourteen and two Lions,
- 16:03Speaker 1: And the rushing offense looks great, the passing offense looks great.
- 16:06Speaker 1: A lot of that is because if you guys working
- 16:08Speaker 1: together as a unit, why does your quarterback Josh Allen
- 16:12Speaker 1: deserve to be this year's MVP.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I feel like we've been hunted since like week week eight,
- 16:20Speaker 2: week nine, something like that. After before our bye week,
- 16:23Speaker 2: he was breaking our record every week, Like every time
- 16:25Speaker 2: I get on Instagram, it's like, oh, Josh had the
- 16:27Speaker 2: first q BE to do this in the last forty years.
- 16:29Speaker 2: He did the first few BE to do this in
- 16:30Speaker 2: the last NFL start since the Super Bowl era. So
- 16:33Speaker 2: it's like I understand, like there's a bunch of great
- 16:36Speaker 2: guys around the league, but I mean, I'm definitely gonna
- 16:39Speaker 2: be buyas towards my guy. But also just looking at
- 16:41Speaker 2: the stats and looking at the teams we played and
- 16:44Speaker 2: walking in I noticed like our winning right, like we
- 16:46Speaker 2: loved the Besides the two games we lost, it's like
- 16:49Speaker 2: one other game we only scored less than thirty points.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Other games we scored at least thirty points, like all
- 16:54Speaker 2: our games. And it's like we're not just throwing it,
- 16:56Speaker 2: just throwing about like you're running it quarterback running it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Like everything's moving in most I like Yo's at the
- 17:00Speaker 2: center of audit and I feel like somebody putting up
- 17:03Speaker 2: mon numbers like that. You can't help but to help yourself,
- 17:06Speaker 2: but to argue to your last breath about why he
- 17:08Speaker 2: used to be at VP. And that's why I think
- 17:10Speaker 2: you should be, because I mean, josh All is like QBN,
- 17:13Speaker 2: he's just playing at a high level. Since the season
- 17:15Speaker 2: started this.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Year, this unit has been playing at such a high level.
- 17:20Speaker 1: But last year the offensive line also played so well.
- 17:24Speaker 1: And if you try to connect the dots, a lot
- 17:26Speaker 1: of the dots go to your position. Coach and Aaron Kromer,
- 17:30Speaker 1: what makes him so capable of elevating the play of
- 17:34Speaker 1: so many young men because I feel like he's.
- 17:37Speaker 2: The best coach all these one of the best coaches
- 17:39Speaker 2: I've been around to figure a player out so fast
- 17:42Speaker 2: and then let them play to their strength and just
- 17:44Speaker 2: coach them up off there. And not to knock anyway
- 17:47Speaker 2: any other coach coach, but that way I feel like
- 17:50Speaker 2: just resonates better with a lot of guys, especially now
- 17:52Speaker 2: in the league towards you got so many different egos,
- 17:55Speaker 2: like some guys here with kids, some guys not, some
- 17:58Speaker 2: guys been at the top of the league, Guys being
- 18:00Speaker 2: like kind of low, being hurt and like being don
- 18:02Speaker 2: and out. So it's like being able to figure a
- 18:04Speaker 2: player out and see what's the best way to get
- 18:06Speaker 2: through to him and let them block how he wants
- 18:07Speaker 2: to block. I think it's definitely like a confidence thing
- 18:10Speaker 2: that the coach give to the player. They help them
- 18:12Speaker 2: go out there and play your best. Because if you're
- 18:14Speaker 2: going out there, you're playing for your coaches, that's playing
- 18:16Speaker 2: for you. You definitely gona play way you're harder. And
- 18:17Speaker 2: I think that's that's like some of the success to
- 18:20Speaker 2: me because I don't go out there, I don't just
- 18:21Speaker 2: play for myself, laving the guys on the side of
- 18:23Speaker 2: me and my coach, my coaches. So I feel like
- 18:25Speaker 2: when you get somebody like that you playing for, it's
- 18:27Speaker 2: gonna make you elevent or game to a level that
- 18:30Speaker 2: you probably don't think you know. So I think there's
- 18:32Speaker 2: definitely a reason why he's one of the best coaches
- 18:34Speaker 2: that have been around.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Oh, it's been so fun to watch this group this season.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I want to move into something that you would love
- 18:41Speaker 1: to do in your free time. It's watching anime. Do
- 18:44Speaker 1: you have a favorite show right now? Are there any
- 18:46Speaker 1: shows that you always go back to?
- 18:49Speaker 2: I got two shows I'm always putting on to like
- 18:52Speaker 2: one I put on to go to sleep at night
- 18:54Speaker 2: time and when I have to walk around is called
- 18:56Speaker 2: Bleach and Hunter Hunter. I watched Bleach a night just
- 18:58Speaker 2: to go to see because like the the music and
- 19:00Speaker 2: the show just kind of relaxing, and so then it's
- 19:02Speaker 2: just a nice little show. And Honahn is just one
- 19:05Speaker 2: of my It's one of the shows I started watching
- 19:07Speaker 2: outside like the main like anime shows that I grew
- 19:10Speaker 2: up with, like Dragon, bon Z, le Nato, and I
- 19:12Speaker 2: was like one of the first shows that I branched
- 19:14Speaker 2: out into that open me up to like, oh, it's
- 19:15Speaker 2: all the good shows here too, it's not just the
- 19:17Speaker 2: same ones that I knew. So I think those two
- 19:19Speaker 2: of my favorite, and I mean I'm just into watching
- 19:22Speaker 2: all different types of them now. Honestly, I've been watching
- 19:25Speaker 2: them since middle school.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So wow, who else on the team can match your
- 19:29Speaker 1: level of love for anime?
- 19:32Speaker 2: I definitely think probably Greg Russo, He's definitely one of them. Honestly,
- 19:36Speaker 2: it's a lot of d linens that watch it, the
- 19:39Speaker 2: defensive guys in you, but I know it's more D
- 19:41Speaker 2: linemen than watching the offensive linement, Like there's no I
- 19:44Speaker 2: think maybe one of the offensive linement that watch it
- 19:46Speaker 2: with me.
- 19:47Speaker 3: I think Big Mike. Yeah, and that's it.
- 19:50Speaker 2: So it's like it's more of a thing for defensive players.
- 19:53Speaker 2: It's crazy to me, but I think more less a
- 19:55Speaker 2: lot of the guys on defense that like it. But
- 19:56Speaker 2: I definitely think greg Or Big Mike probably be one
- 19:59Speaker 2: of the guys that know I love it just as
- 20:02Speaker 2: much as I do.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Probably You've got a beautiful house on fourteen acres. This
- 20:06Speaker 1: is something you bought in the off season last year.
- 20:09Speaker 1: What are you gonna do with fourteen acres?
- 20:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna just sit out there and watch the sunset everything. Oh,
- 20:15Speaker 2: I got a pun out there, like the fishing, and
- 20:17Speaker 2: it's just relaxing just being out there. And whether people
- 20:20Speaker 2: know it or not, Buffalo and the springing in the
- 20:22Speaker 2: summer is perfect, Like it's not too hot, it's not humid,
- 20:26Speaker 2: the wind's blowing. It's like I could sit out there
- 20:28Speaker 2: and just take a nap in the sun and I
- 20:30Speaker 2: wake up sweating ring a pile of ate up by
- 20:32Speaker 2: mosquitos like I would be back home.
- 20:34Speaker 3: So I definitely enjoyed.
- 20:36Speaker 2: And later on in the year, I'm gonna try to
- 20:38Speaker 2: start these get a four or something so I can
- 20:40Speaker 2: start riding around aufter to be able to see some
- 20:42Speaker 2: of the more laying I got. But I mean, right now,
- 20:44Speaker 2: I'm just enjoying a view and or now snow if
- 20:46Speaker 2: we're so that looks even that looks good too, So
- 20:49Speaker 2: I like it.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome. Is c see your cat fishing with
- 20:53Speaker 1: you in this pond?
- 20:54Speaker 3: No, no, she don't.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I took a let her go outside a little bit,
- 20:58Speaker 2: and she's stand around and just run around and just
- 21:00Speaker 2: look at me like, wow, I'm out here.
- 21:01Speaker 3: So I just leave it inside the doorcast she's in.
- 21:04Speaker 2: She'll go outside, but she too, she too jumping to
- 21:07Speaker 2: stay out there too long, so she just like staying sidewhich.
- 21:09Speaker 2: I don't, man, that's less stuff I gotta clean up.
- 21:12Speaker 1: So you love cats so much, you've got fourteen fifteen acres,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I think maybe this needs to become like a sanctuary
- 21:21Speaker 1: for cats who need to be adopted, or just straight catside.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I definitely stop putting out bows of food in my
- 21:27Speaker 2: front yard, just straight casts to come out there. And
- 21:29Speaker 2: I think if I do that, it'll be more deer
- 21:31Speaker 2: and stuff going to eat the food right now and
- 21:33Speaker 2: cast But that is a good idea. Just buy a
- 21:35Speaker 2: few catses put them outside have them like outside the house,
- 21:38Speaker 2: having like outside cats.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I mean I wouldn't.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I'm looking down the road and I'm just thinking, like,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you're gonna you've got this pond, you got some cats outside?
- 21:46Speaker 1: Maybe maybe you get some chickens like cyba on a farm.
- 21:51Speaker 2: That's a good I definite right there down I do
- 21:53Speaker 2: what I did, like grew up around like forematas and
- 21:56Speaker 2: stuff like that. So having like chickens like cow something
- 21:59Speaker 2: like that on land, I always miss something kind of
- 22:01Speaker 2: look you wanted to do. It's just all about getting
- 22:03Speaker 2: it started.
- 22:03Speaker 1: But we got the space.
- 22:04Speaker 3: I got the space. Now I just gotta get it
- 22:06Speaker 3: in motion.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Why not?
- 22:08Speaker 3: Why not?
- 22:08Speaker 1: You also love to cook? Have we tried out any
- 22:10Speaker 1: new recipes this season?
- 22:12Speaker 3: Any new recipes?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Mmm?
- 22:15Speaker 3: Nothing?
- 22:16Speaker 2: You just perfecting the stuff. I already know how to make,
- 22:19Speaker 2: like already how to make gumbo. But I made something
- 22:21Speaker 2: for Thanksgiving and made it better than I had before.
- 22:23Speaker 2: I made some Raban's rice for Christmas.
- 22:25Speaker 1: What's the secret ingredients here? Why are they better than
- 22:28Speaker 1: you've ever made them before? I can't reveal.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It's the process, and is it not said that it's
- 22:35Speaker 2: not necessarily what I put in. It is how I
- 22:37Speaker 2: put it together that makes sense, so I can explain it,
- 22:40Speaker 2: but it's still might go over.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Your head, so probably will go over mine.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Not necessarily just anybody in general, because they won't get it.
- 22:46Speaker 2: You gotta you gotta prep the food instead of just
- 22:48Speaker 2: make it a real self understand But yeah.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I understand that. Well I'm not a real chef, so
- 22:53Speaker 1: maybe I don't fully understand that. But I know, I
- 22:56Speaker 1: know what you're saying.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so I mean, but I love can just
- 23:00Speaker 2: look up different recipes. But like it's like when I
- 23:02Speaker 2: get to this part of the season, I just go
- 23:04Speaker 2: ahead cook what I know that's good instead of just freestyling.
- 23:07Speaker 2: But whenever it als is coming around, I get time,
- 23:09Speaker 2: and oh see, I'm definitely gonna open back up towards
- 23:11Speaker 2: just freestyling, making stuff, trying stuff out, adding new stuff
- 23:14Speaker 2: to my recipes because.
- 23:16Speaker 3: I want to.
- 23:17Speaker 2: I'm gonna try to make a small little cookbook for
- 23:20Speaker 2: next Christmas and it try to get it printed out
- 23:22Speaker 2: and then and like pass around the guys up in
- 23:24Speaker 2: here just to see what they're want to do, Like
- 23:25Speaker 2: make it like what ten to fifteen pages of like
- 23:28Speaker 2: stuff I cook like every week, the simple meals and
- 23:31Speaker 2: then see how it does and then trying to go
- 23:32Speaker 2: from there.
- 23:33Speaker 1: But I love Yeah, just some cookbook. Everybody would love it. Yeah, okay,
- 23:39Speaker 1: one last question for you. This team is at a
- 23:42Speaker 1: great point right now, this group that has come together
- 23:46Speaker 1: in a lot of ways. You talk to players and
- 23:48Speaker 1: they say, the locker room is tight, we're having a
- 23:51Speaker 1: great time, We're having a lot of fun. It's just
- 23:53Speaker 1: different this season. What do you think this group is
- 23:56Speaker 1: capable of as we head into the playoffs.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Sidebo, I think we're capable of doing anything, and we
- 24:00Speaker 2: all collectively want to do and put our mind to,
- 24:03Speaker 2: whether that's being making it all the way and winning
- 24:07Speaker 2: it or doing this. And then then some I feel
- 24:10Speaker 2: like no matter what it is, and I think we
- 24:12Speaker 2: all know what it is we want. Yeah, so we
- 24:14Speaker 2: all just kind of one mind, one go focus on
- 24:17Speaker 2: going to that and can't not to stop us with us.
- 24:19Speaker 1: We're ch heering for you. We can't wait. It's gonna
- 24:21Speaker 1: be so fun to watch y'all as the postseason begins.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 24:24Speaker 3: I'm glad hey y'all for having me on.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Of course, of course, all right, stay tuned for another
- 24:30Speaker 1: episode of Inside the Charge coming soon.
