- 0:00Chapter 26 from the book of Isaiah.
- 0:03It's called A Song of Praise. If I were going to title this, I
- 0:08would actually call it the Second Coming.
- 0:11Of Jesus Christ. So this is the coming of the
- 0:14Messiah. And it's, it's amazing to me
- 0:18that this was written in the seven hundreds BC, so almost
- 0:233000 years ago. And Jesus was not recognized by
- 0:31some of the Jewish people, some of the Israelites, because it's
- 0:36so clearly, well, actually this is prophecy.
- 0:39So it didn't happen yet. But boy, there is they don't
- 0:44have the benefit of the New Testament.
- 0:47And so any Christians have the benefit of reading the New
- 0:49Testament and can see this is all about Jesus.
- 0:54Like every chapter, I think that I've gone in Isaiah, I find
- 0:58Jesus in there and. Whether it's a prophecy of his
- 1:02first. Coming or if it's a prophecy
- 1:05about his second coming. So this is really interesting.
- 1:07I thought this was going to be a short chapter because there's
- 1:10not a whole lot to cover as I was reading through it, but then
- 1:14other scripture came to mind. So I have about 5 different
- 1:19references of scripture. Scripture interprets scripture
- 1:23and it helps us understand. So that's why I go to other
- 1:26books when I'm reading through Isaiah.
- 1:27But I have about 5 of them. So I'm going to try to do this
- 1:30as quickly as possible. So let's start with the prayer.
- 1:33Dear God, please be with us and please let the Holy Spirit give
- 1:36us wisdom from the scripture that we read today.
- 1:40Speak to U.S., Open our eyes, give us wisdom and let us know
- 1:45how we can fulfill your will, how we can live in accordance
- 1:50with your will. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
- 1:54So in that day, the day of the Lord, OK, in that day, this song
- 1:59will be sung. In the land of Judah.
- 2:01We have a strong city. God makes salvation its walls
- 2:06and ramparts. Open the gates that the
- 2:09righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps.
- 2:14Faith. You will keep in perfect peace
- 2:18those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.
- 2:23I want to pause there. First of all, He's bringing
- 2:26peace. We will have peace someday in
- 2:29the land of Jerusalem. There will be peace and it'll be
- 2:32brought about by the true Messiah, not a fake Messiah,
- 2:35which we know probably is coming according to prophecy, but
- 2:39there's going to be a true Messiah of Jesus and he will
- 2:42actually his, His hands will will be visible.
- 2:46So if somebody, you know, doesn't have holes in their
- 2:50hands or their arms from the crucifixion, that's a fake
- 2:54Messiah. So that's another way of
- 2:55knowing. Plus Jesus is coming on the
- 2:57clouds. So if somebody doesn't arrive on
- 3:00the clouds, that's a fake Messiah.
- 3:03OK, So first of all, he's going to bring peace.
- 3:06There's going to be this leader that claims to be him that
- 3:11probably bring some sort of short term peace, but it's
- 3:14deceptive peace. It's going to be a peace that
- 3:17people think they have, and then there's going to be a sudden
- 3:19destruction. That's what prophecy tells us.
- 3:21So but Jesus will actually bring perfect peace and he said, and
- 3:27it says here you will keep in perfect peace those whose minds
- 3:33are steadfast. So our minds need to be filled
- 3:36with the word of God. We need to know the truth so
- 3:40that when we see things that deceive us, we're not with all
- 3:44the others that get deceived because there's going to be many
- 3:48who will be deceived, but not the ones who are in the word of
- 3:51God, not the ones who the truth. That's why it's again to be the
- 3:55word of God. And it's also says because they
- 3:59trust in you. So we trust in God's power, not
- 4:03ours. We trust in God in all
- 4:05circumstances. We know.
- 4:07That God is faithful. And he shows he is faithful to
- 4:11his children, He shows love to his children.
- 4:15And all we have to do is rely on God.
- 4:18If we start thinking that we're going to store up things for
- 4:21ourselves, we're going to get in our bunkers and we're going to
- 4:24have all the supplies that we need to weather through some
- 4:28troubling time, we're deceiving ourselves because I mean, maybe
- 4:32God will call you to do that, but you got to pray to God about
- 4:35doing that. But you can just trust in God.
- 4:39I mean, look at how many times God sent people out into the
- 4:42world, prophets and people who are spreading his message and
- 4:45told him, don't take anything, just go and you will be provided
- 4:49along the way. Elijah, he was, he didn't have
- 4:52any food and Ravens actually brought him food and one time an
- 4:55Angel brought him food. And so we don't even, you know,
- 5:00God with everything God is. With a.
- 5:04Anything is possible with God if we rely on our own resources.
- 5:10We might not have enough, but just rely on God and pray about
- 5:13it. And maybe God wants you to store
- 5:16up resources so that you can share with other people.
- 5:18Now that wouldn't be just so you can hoard it for yourself
- 5:21because that's not the way God is.
- 5:23Love is selfless. So if you are storing up things,
- 5:28if you are storing it up just for yourself to survive through
- 5:31trembling times, then you might want to pray about that.
- 5:35Because if you store up things, you should be storing it up to
- 5:39think about. Well, I can share this with
- 5:41other people and that's why I'm storing it up because that would
- 5:44be something Christ would do. He would selfless rather than
- 5:48selfish. And we just have to remember
- 5:50those things and not let fear come over us.
- 5:55And again, this is about a mindset.
- 5:57And the only way that you have this mindset is by being in the
- 6:00Word and knowing that the Bible is true.
- 6:04And then you don't have the fear like you might have the fear
- 6:08when something comes, when you see something substantial.
- 6:11But at that moment, just pray. Just say God I know who you are
- 6:15and I am fearful and please help me with.
- 6:17This. Because that's what God is.
- 6:19He just wants us to trust in Him.
- 6:21Just call on Him for everything whenever.
- 6:23We are faced. With any kind of troubling times
- 6:27ahead of us. OK, so it says, trust in the
- 6:30Lord forever. For the Lord, the Lord himself
- 6:34is the rock eternal. That's Jesus.
- 6:37He humbles those who dwell on high.
- 6:40He lays the lofty city low. He levels it to the ground and
- 6:44cast it down to the dust feet, trample it down.
- 6:49The feet of the oppressed, the footsteps of the poor, the path
- 6:54of the righteous is level. You, the upright one, make the
- 6:58way of the righteous smooth. I find that interesting too,
- 7:03that you make the way of the righteous.
- 7:06And Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life.
- 7:10So he's the way. To the Kingdom he's truth.
- 7:15So things that He spoke are all true and He is life.
- 7:19So when we trust in Him, we will have eternal life.
- 7:23And so says you, the upright one, Jesus, make the way of the
- 7:29righteous smooth. So when we rely on God, just
- 7:32think about when Jesus was sleeping and this torrential
- 7:35storm happened and the disciples were saying, Hey, you're
- 7:39sleeping, you know, get up, you know, all this the storm is
- 7:42happening and they were very fearful and and he just said you
- 7:45little faith and he rebuked the storm and it calmed down.
- 7:49And so that's where that's what we can do is trust in God, trust
- 7:53in Jesus and call on him in troubling times.
- 7:57Now we want God to hear us. So if we are showing God that we
- 8:02love him in advance by being obedient to him, then he's going
- 8:06to hear us. But he doesn't listen to the
- 8:10disobedient ones, the rebellious ones.
- 8:14At a certain point, he's just he's not paying attention.
- 8:17If you want your prayers answered, we need to be obedient
- 8:21to God's word. We need to obey what God says.
- 8:24Then God will hear us. God does hear people when they
- 8:28turn to Him if they are rebellious or not, if we all
- 8:32are. But when they are rebellious and
- 8:35they turn to God, yes, He welcomes that.
- 8:38So that's one time when God hears the prayers of the
- 8:43unrighteous when they turn to him.
- 8:45But prior to that, like if you're trying to get prayers
- 8:47answered and it's not happening and you have all kinds of sin in
- 8:51your life, that's probably why, because God's not listening,
- 8:55yes. OK, So continuing back in the
- 8:58word, yes, Lord walking in the way of your laws.
- 9:02OK, We were just talking about that.
- 9:03The ways be obedient to him. That's what He wants us to do.
- 9:06That's how we show God we love him.
- 9:09Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you.
- 9:13Your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.
- 9:18My soul yearns for you in the night.
- 9:21In the morning, my spirit longs for you when when your judgments
- 9:26come upon the earth, the people of the world learn
- 9:31righteousness. So this gives us insight into
- 9:34why judgments come on the earth. God doesn't like destruction.
- 9:41So the only purpose of His judgement, not the only purpose,
- 9:45I guess. But when your judgements come
- 9:49upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.
- 9:54So he's teaching people righteousness.
- 9:57It we can be really stubborn and put off God and ignore Him and
- 10:04want to live in our own rebellious ways, but that's
- 10:09really just saying, OK, God, I'm, you know, like things are
- 10:12going great in my life. I'm loving my sin.
- 10:15I'm having a fun time. This is all great and wonderful
- 10:18and it's awesome that this is happening and God's sitting back
- 10:23like, yeah, well, you better turn pretty soon because
- 10:27ultimately judgements going to fall on you.
- 10:29And the purpose of that judgement is to bring you into
- 10:32righteousness. So anyway, this is the the whole
- 10:37purpose of judgement is to bring people to righteousness.
- 10:40Like God wants to save people, but he can't force it.
- 10:44So he's going to put the pressure on and then people
- 10:47sometimes will, you know, turn to God when the pressure gets
- 10:51turned on. Now listen to this.
- 10:54But when grace is shown to. The wicked grace.
- 11:01Is shown to the wicked. Isn't that interesting?
- 11:04When grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn
- 11:08righteousness. So God is patient in His
- 11:12judgement because He wants everybody to turn to Him in
- 11:15repentance. But when grace is shown to the
- 11:19wicked, they don't learn righteousness.
- 11:21They just say I'm doing what I want to do, I'm having fun in my
- 11:25sin, and I'm being successful while I'm sinning.
- 11:31And I don't believe all this stuff because nothing bad is
- 11:34happening to me. Look at all this good stuff
- 11:36that's happening to me. See, that doesn't work.
- 11:39That's why God has to bring judgement, and He will.
- 11:42But He's patient with some and some He lets you know.
- 11:46He knows the hearts of people and He knows that some hearts
- 11:50just aren't going to turn to Him.
- 11:52So their destruction will come about probably when Jesus
- 11:57returns. So some will get away with their
- 11:59sinning, but that's not necessarily a good thing.
- 12:02They might, they might like appear to have all of these
- 12:07great things in the world and they're very like sinful in
- 12:12their lives. And you look at them and you're
- 12:14like, well, why do they get away with all that?
- 12:16You know, they don't get judged. They will.
- 12:19And they're going to lose out on the Kingdom of God for eternity.
- 12:23Eternity unless they repent. So just because somebody is
- 12:28getting away with it right now does not mean that they are
- 12:32free. They are a slave to sin and they
- 12:38will be punished. And they will be punished in
- 12:41such a worse way than anyone else who turns to God before
- 12:45they die. If they die in their sin, all
- 12:48they can expect is eternal torment and judgement from God.
- 12:53So God is just patient. So he does it says.
- 12:57But when grace is shown to the wicked, so he shows grace to the
- 13:00wicked. He could knock him off the
- 13:03world, but he hoped they turn around and get repentant to him.
- 13:06But they don't learn righteousness that way.
- 13:08They have to come under pressure and that's why God brings about
- 13:12what He brings about. Even in a land of uprightness.
- 13:17They go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.
- 13:23There's no respect for God. Lord, your hand is lifted high,
- 13:28but they do not see it. That's why, you know, they think
- 13:32everything is good going on in their lives and they don't see
- 13:35that it's just a matter of time. It's just time.
- 13:39Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame.
- 13:44Let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.
- 13:50Lord, you established peace for us.
- 13:53Again, it's going to be Jesus establishing peace, not anyone
- 13:57else. Lord, you established peace for
- 14:00us. All that we have accomplished,
- 14:03you have done for us. We have to remember that all
- 14:06these good things in our lives that come about, they aren't
- 14:09because of something we did. They're actually from God.
- 14:13God can use other people and He can give, and He gives us the
- 14:17skills and the abilities to accomplish things, but
- 14:21ultimately the only way we did it was because God gave it to
- 14:25us. God created us that way.
- 14:27So ultimately God is to be thanked for everything good in
- 14:31our life that we accomplish. Lord our God, other Lords
- 14:35besides you have ruled over us. At first I thought this might be
- 14:39spiritual, but then when I read more it's not.
- 14:42It's it's talking about evil rulers.
- 14:46So the study Bible says what other Lords had the Israelites
- 14:49served. Isaiah was not talking here
- 14:52about other gods. He was talking about foreign
- 14:54rulers who either were or would be dead and forgotten.
- 14:58Unlike the Lord, who remains very much alive, these invaders
- 15:03came from nations such as Egypt, Assyria and Babylon.
- 15:08Each. Took a turn ruling the land, but
- 15:12the hearts of the righteous remained loyal to God.
- 15:17So they had other people ruling over them, evil ones, and that
- 15:20was again to bring them to repentance.
- 15:21When that happened, they are now dead.
- 15:25They live no more. Their spirits do not rise.
- 15:29You punished them and brought them to ruin.
- 15:32You wiped out all memory of them.
- 15:36This kind of nice because there's a couple things here.
- 15:39They are dead now, They live no more.
- 15:41Their spirits do not rise. So these the spirits of the evil
- 15:46ones will not rise until the 1000 years ends and we will talk
- 15:52about that a little bit later. But they they don't rise like
- 15:56when Jesus returns those who were in Christ.
- 16:00Those who are determined to be righteous because of faith, it
- 16:04says. By faith, you know these people.
- 16:08Even the ones before Jesus, before Jesus was born, they will
- 16:12rise and it's by faith. It was credited to righteousness
- 16:16and and Jesus's death on the cross covers all those people.
- 16:21Back in the Old Testament times before he was ever born, there
- 16:24was 1 sacrifice for all people, all the people of the past, all
- 16:28the people today and all the people in the future.
- 16:31His sacrifice atoned for the sin.
- 16:34So that's it. He covered past, present and
- 16:37future. And so we don't have to worry
- 16:39about the people who, you know, God saw their heart.
- 16:42God knew if they were turned to him or not.
- 16:44It's by faith, by faith that these people had.
- 16:49And we're going to see something else too, which I think is
- 16:51really cool about the Old Testament, like in the seven
- 16:55hundreds BC in a minute we're going to talk about like
- 16:58salvation and having the Spirit of God.
- 17:01So you punished them and brought them to ruin.
- 17:04You wiped out all memory of them.
- 17:06So that's going to be good in the future, that the memory of
- 17:11the evil one will be gone like any.
- 17:14Rulers that have. Been in the past that they will
- 17:19actually no longer be remembered.
- 17:23So that's going to be a comfort to people who maybe has some
- 17:26horrible times in the past. I just think that's something
- 17:31good Like if if you've had a traumatic past that nothing,
- 17:35none of that's going to be you're not going to remember
- 17:38them. You have enlarged the nation,
- 17:41Lord, you have enlarged the nation.
- 17:45You have enlarged the nation, Lord, you have enlarged the
- 17:48nation. You have gained glory for
- 17:51yourself. You have extended all the
- 17:55borders of the land. Now isn't this AAI don't know
- 17:59what I'm searching for the right word.
- 18:02But today we, oh, a couple years ago from the river to the sea.
- 18:07And they wanted, and they still do.
- 18:10The enemies of God want to wipe out Israel because God promised
- 18:15Israel a significant portion of land, or not a significant but a
- 18:19bigger piece of land than what they currently have.
- 18:22And they have never occupied it all because they haven't.
- 18:27Followed God. They haven't.
- 18:30Listened and obeyed what he said He would have.
- 18:32They would have been given it, but they didn't get it because
- 18:35they didn't listen to God. They weren't obedient to God.
- 18:39But when Jesus returns, he's going to extend all those
- 18:42borders. So all these chants that the
- 18:45enemies are talking about, you know, about the extermination of
- 18:49Israel, it's not going to happen.
- 18:50Bible prophecy tells us it's not going to happen.
- 18:54God's going to do the opposite. He's going to make their borders
- 18:57grow bigger than what they are today.
- 18:59So anybody who's on that side, you're fighting against God if
- 19:03you want Israel to be wiped off the map, because that's not
- 19:05going to happen and the borders will be greater than they are
- 19:09today. Lord, they came to you in their
- 19:12distress when you discipline them.
- 19:15So this is what they mean. Like God, when he humbles
- 19:18people, when he disciplines, says God disciplines his
- 19:23children. And when we are disciplined,
- 19:26often we come to God because we don't have anything else.
- 19:30We, there's nothing else that can help us at that point.
- 19:33I know that was what happened with me.
- 19:35Not everybody goes through that, but you know, sometimes you have
- 19:39to be humbled. And God like took away
- 19:42everything that was important to me.
- 19:43And that's when I was finally humbled And, and all along he
- 19:48was probably trying to get my attention because I think back
- 19:51and I think of the different times that people were trying to
- 19:53get me more involved in something faith related and I
- 19:56pushed it off. I was like busy with other
- 19:58things. I had this going on.
- 19:59And, you know, mostly it was because I was.
- 20:01Thinking about or wanted to spend time with my family and I
- 20:05wasn't going to spend time away from them because of work and,
- 20:09you know, just your divided time.
- 20:11So maybe it wasn't my time with God.
- 20:13Maybe was. Maybe I wasn't quite as
- 20:15rebellious. I wasn't doing it out of a lack
- 20:18of love for God, but I was doing it because I did have other
- 20:21priorities, which is probably also not a good thing because
- 20:24God should have been my priority at the beginning.
- 20:27Now He is and but He wasn't. And I got humbled and that's
- 20:34when I turned to God. They could barely whisper a
- 20:37prayer. So Lord, they came to you in
- 20:39their distress. When you disciplined them, they
- 20:41could barely whisper a prayer. As a pregnant woman about to
- 20:46give birth rise and cries out in her pain, so were we in your
- 20:52presence, Lord, We were with child.
- 20:54We writhed in labor, but we gave birth to wind.
- 21:00I. Stopped when I read that we gave
- 21:03birth to wind. I did not look that one up.
- 21:05I wish I did before this, but the first thing I think of is
- 21:08wind is often called Rua, which is spirit.
- 21:12And sometimes when translations are done, I, I would like to see
- 21:16if this actually says Rua wind because that could mean the
- 21:21Spirit of God. So, and that made me think about
- 21:25we were with child. We arrived in labor, but we gave
- 21:29birth to wind. So actually I need to probably
- 21:33look that up because before I go on and, and say what I think
- 21:37this means, I want to make sure that I'm not just making
- 21:40something up in my own mind on this.
- 21:42So we're in Isaiah 26, Isaiah 26 and verse 18.
- 21:56And I see if you go to blueletterbible.org, you can
- 22:00search for a specific scripture and then click on a button to
- 22:03the left that's called tools. And when you do that, it will
- 22:06show you on the left hand side the actual words.
- 22:11Oh, yay. It's what I thought it was.
- 22:13It is it's so it says to wind and it is Rua it's strongs 7307.
- 22:22Now in the Bible it's there's so many different things that it
- 22:29gives you all the definitions like the outline of the biblical
- 22:32usage. It can be wind, breath, mind,
- 22:36spirit. So those are the things that
- 22:39could be the wind of heaven, the quarter of wind on a side, a
- 22:43breath of air, air, air or gas, a vein, or an empty thing.
- 22:49It can be spirit as that which breathes quickly in animation or
- 22:54agitation. So spirit, animation, vivacity,
- 22:57vigor, courage, temper, anger, impatience, patience.
- 23:02Spirit disposition as troubled, bitter, discontent, disposition
- 23:08of various kinds, unaccountable or controlled impulse or
- 23:12uncontrollable impulse. Prophetic spirit.
- 23:16Spirit of the living, breathing, being in man and animals, a gift
- 23:20preserved by God. God's spirit departing at death.
- 23:25Disembodied, embodied being. Spirit as a seat of emotion, a
- 23:30desire, sorrow, or trouble. Spirit as seat of organ or organ
- 23:37of mental acts. Rarely of the will as seat,
- 23:42especially of moral character. Spirit of God, the third person
- 23:47of the Triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal Co eternal with
- 23:52the Father and the Son. An inspiring ecstatic state of
- 23:55prophecy. An as impelling prophet to utter
- 23:59an instruction on our warning. Imparting warlike energy and
- 24:03executive and administrative power.
- 24:06As endowing men with various gifts As energy of life.
- 24:09As manifest in the Shekinah glory.
- 24:12Never referred to as AD personal force.
- 24:16So this is yeah, so it could be spirit or or yeah, spirit or
- 24:23spirit wind, breath, side mind blast, vain air, anger, cool
- 24:29courage, miscellaneous. So this is those are all the
- 24:34different ways that it can be used.
- 24:37But here's where but we gave birth to wind.
- 24:42So it has something to do with spirit, right.
- 24:45And then this is where I think about this is the other
- 24:48Scripture, John chapter 3. Jesus said that very truly, I
- 24:55tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are
- 24:59born again. So and then he says flesh gives.
- 25:04Birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to Spirit.
- 25:12You should not be surprised at my saying you must be born
- 25:16again. So this is what Jesus said.
- 25:21Now that means that every single one of us, if we want to be in
- 25:24the Kingdom of God, we need the Holy Spirit.
- 25:28And I find this interesting because this is Isaiah.
- 25:33The Book of. Isaiah, not what I'm reading
- 25:35now, but we are studying the book of Isaiah chapter 26 that
- 25:39was written in the seven hundreds BC and they said we
- 25:42were with child, we writhed in labor, but we gave birth to wind
- 25:47or ruah, which is Spirit. So they gave birth.
- 25:52So did God give the Holy Spirit to these people when you know,
- 25:59the people of the Old Testament where they actually have the
- 26:01spirit, they've been born again. I mean it, it sounds like that
- 26:05to me. And especially when Jesus said
- 26:07that's what that's what happened.
- 26:10And so I just think that is really like, again, God is so
- 26:16good. He's so gracious and there's
- 26:18things in the Bible that are these little treasures that I
- 26:20think we find when we read it and we see that this is this is
- 26:25something that I think is a strong possibility.
- 26:29That's my opinion. Again, I, I'm, I don't know if
- 26:32we'll, I don't know if anybody could actually prove this.
- 26:36So it has to be my opinion, but you can pray about it to God.
- 26:40And so people may have been born again, born of the Spirit by
- 26:47their faith, like God looked at the righteous acts and that, you
- 26:51know, before Jesus came and it was credited to them and they
- 26:55had the Holy Spirit. There were certainly stories in
- 26:59the Bible when the Spirit came upon the different tribes of
- 27:04Israel, when they were in the wilderness, when they were
- 27:08traveling for 40 years and they began to prophecy.
- 27:12So God didn't withhold his spirit.
- 27:15The Spirit was hovering over the waters at the formation of the
- 27:19earth or hovering over darkness. Maybe it is that what it was,
- 27:22but the Spirit was hovering in the beginning of creation.
- 27:25So the Spirit is not just anything new.
- 27:27The Spirit of God has been present eternally.
- 27:31So this is, I just think that it's something that we should
- 27:38really think about. So, but Jesus did say we have to
- 27:40be born of the Spirit. And the only way you can be born
- 27:43of the Spirit is by your your relationship with God.
- 27:46Like there was a man, I think he was called Simeon or something.
- 27:51And it's in the book of Acts where the apostles were going
- 27:54out and doing all these miracles and this guy wanted the power
- 27:58because he was going to profit off of it.
- 28:01Like he was a sorcerer. Simon the sorcerer, I think
- 28:03that's what he was called. And so he got baptized, but he
- 28:07didn't get the Holy Spirit, and he wanted the Holy Spirit.
- 28:10And so he asked the disciples to give him the Holy Spirit.
- 28:13And the disciples knew enough. They could, they had discernment
- 28:17and they're like, you just need to repent and hope that God
- 28:21doesn't bring about judgement on you.
- 28:23So he did not get the Holy Spirit because God will not give
- 28:27his spirit to somebody who is going to be abusive with it,
- 28:31somebody who is worldly, somebody who has not surrendered
- 28:34to him. So that's why this whole, you
- 28:36know, surrender is basically saying I'm going to give up my
- 28:43my desires that are not in line with God's commands and I'm not
- 28:48going to do those things. And I'm willingly giving that up
- 28:54and want God's help in staying away from it in the future,
- 28:59doing God's will as opposed to what we want.
- 29:02That's what that surrender is. OK, so it says we we have.
- 29:09We have not brought salvation to the earth and the people of the
- 29:14world have not come to life. So we have not brought salvation
- 29:19to the earth, so they can't do it by their.
- 29:22Works, they can't save themselves.
- 29:25That's why God had to save them because they were disobedient
- 29:29just like we are. We break His commandments until
- 29:33we have the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit begins to change
- 29:36that in our life. We don't keep on sinning because
- 29:39when the Holy Spirit comes into our life, the Holy Spirit starts
- 29:42to change us and it may be gradual, but we don't stay in
- 29:45the same thing. We don't stay in the same
- 29:47condition. We become a new creation.
- 29:51So anyway, we and we don't get salvation because of our works.
- 29:57The only thing that we can do by our works is we're just showing
- 30:01God that we love him by doing that.
- 30:03When we are obedient to God and when we do things for other
- 30:07people, we are, you know, just we are God's hands and feet on
- 30:13earth. Basically we're, we're just
- 30:16carrying out the will of God by doing that because that's what
- 30:20God would do if he was physically here on earth.
- 30:25He's spiritually here and available, but physically he's
- 30:30not. Only when Jesus was here.
- 30:32Was the physical. Part and actually, I think at
- 30:34the very beginning in Genesis, before sin entered the world,
- 30:37God was with the people. OK, going to verse 19, but
- 30:43you're, you're dead. So these are the dead in Christ,
- 30:47right? But your dead will live, Lord,
- 30:51their bodies will rise. Let those who dwell in the dust
- 30:57wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the morning dew
- 31:03is like the dew of the morning. The earth will give birth to her
- 31:07dead. This is what's going to happen
- 31:10when Jesus returns. That's why I said this is about
- 31:12the return of Jesus. It's the resurrection.
- 31:16People will rise. They're going to come out of
- 31:18their grave when Jesus comes on the clouds and returns back to
- 31:23earth. This is going to be this like
- 31:25wildest time ever and people that the people that haven't
- 31:30prepared themselves, they are going to, but they probably
- 31:34heard about this. That's when they are going to
- 31:37realize, Oh my gosh, I didn't take this seriously and the time
- 31:42is now here. That's when they're going to
- 31:44hide because they, if they know enough, they're going to know
- 31:47that whoever doesn't go up with Christ is going to experience
- 31:54the wrath of God. So that's when reality is going
- 31:58to sink in. And that's why it says in the
- 32:016th seal people like crawling under the rocks and in caves and
- 32:06things and telling the rocks to fall on them to hide us from the
- 32:10face of the lamb, which is Jesus and his wrath, the wrath of the,
- 32:15that of God that's coming upon the people.
- 32:17So they knew the word like you can see in scripture, they knew
- 32:22what was going to happen. They, they were hiding for fear
- 32:25of God. If you have a good relationship
- 32:28with God, you're not, you're not fearful of them.
- 32:30Think about this like if you have fear of someone, that means
- 32:34you don't have a good relationship with them, right?
- 32:37Like if you have a good relationship with somebody
- 32:39powerful and strong, you, they're your protector.
- 32:44They're not somebody you fear. So that's how people who have a
- 32:48good relationship with God, there's No Fear.
- 32:51Like when Jesus comes, there's going to be people cheering and
- 32:54there's going to people panicking.
- 32:57There's going to be two different people, the ones who
- 32:59have prepared themselves, who are born again, who have the
- 33:02Holy Spirit are going to be, thank God you've arrived.
- 33:06And now begins this wonderful rest of the existence of our
- 33:13lives, the eternal existence of our lives.
- 33:15Plus we get new bodies at that point, so that'll be a good
- 33:19thing. All the brokenness of our
- 33:21current ones will go away and we will have spiritual, not not
- 33:26spirit. Well, we're going to have
- 33:27physical bodies, but they will not be broken.
- 33:30So that's a very good thing and something to look forward to.
- 33:34But all the people who had, who had been dead, are going to come
- 33:38out of their graves when Jesus returns.
- 33:41That's just very cool. All right, so it says this is
- 33:46the other thing. Go my people, enter your rooms
- 33:50and shut the doors behind you, hide yourselves for a little
- 33:54while until his wrath has passed by.
- 33:58So I, you know, this is again, I mean, there's so many times
- 34:03where it talks about this wedding and the wedding banquet.
- 34:07We talked about that in the last chapter and about people who
- 34:10were prepared and were welcomed in and then others who came to
- 34:14the door and the door was shut. And he said, depart from me, you
- 34:17evil doers. So some people who call
- 34:21themselves Christians but don't live according to God's will are
- 34:26going to be shut out. They're going to, they can't
- 34:28come in, they're not ready. They have to go through the fire
- 34:32before they're purified. So there are going to be people,
- 34:36the unprepared people, the people who didn't listen ahead
- 34:39of time, who didn't prepare themselves.
- 34:42They're going to be here on earth and they're going to be
- 34:43going through the wrath of God and the wrath of God.
- 34:47I wouldn't want to go through it when you read what it's all
- 34:50about. I would definitely do everything
- 34:53possible which I am doing to be prepared and remain prepared for
- 35:01the return of Christ. We should live every day that in
- 35:05in preparation, just, you know, really pay attention to how we
- 35:09live our lives. I mean, it's very, very
- 35:11important. So but it says go my people,
- 35:16enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you, hide yourself
- 35:19for a little while until his wrath has passed.
- 35:22I think about Scripture where Jesus said my father has many
- 35:25rooms and I'm going to prepare a place for you and I will return
- 35:30for you. I think all of this he was
- 35:32talking to his disciples at that point, but I think that applies
- 35:35to all people who have been who have, you know, prepared
- 35:42themselves to be in the presence who have the Holy Spirit.
- 35:46Okay, the people who have the Holy Spirit and it and, and it,
- 35:51we're going to be with God. Like when he, you know, we rise.
- 35:55Even some who are not, who didn't even experience death.
- 35:58People 1st come out of the graves, then people who are
- 36:01alive go and meet with Jesus in the sky.
- 36:05So I think we actually go to a place in heaven somewhere with
- 36:11Jesus until the wrath is completed.
- 36:15I did wonder at one point is, are we going to be here on earth
- 36:19just hidden away in our rooms? And I don't think that's likely.
- 36:24I think that's probably with the destruction that's going to come
- 36:28upon. I just think that, you know, God
- 36:30could certainly protect us here on earth.
- 36:33But I really think it Scripture tells us that it's going to be
- 36:38in the heavenly realm with him. And remember, we're going to get
- 36:43in immortal bodies at that point.
- 36:45So it's not like our spirits are just going to go up to meet him.
- 36:49No, we will have bodies and go to meet with him.
- 36:53So this is this is really for people who have the holy.
- 36:57Spirit this is. So exciting and, and God will
- 37:02give you the spirit if you, if you decide that you want to
- 37:05follow his will. And you know, it says like count
- 37:08your before you make a decision on it, know what it's going to
- 37:12cost you. And it does say that we have to
- 37:15pick up our cross daily. So it's not like it's completely
- 37:18easy. It's not just saying a word
- 37:20that, OK, God, we surrender to you and now we want the Holy
- 37:24Spirit. It's like when we are faced with
- 37:27those choices, God's going to test us.
- 37:29He's going to he's going to see, are we ready?
- 37:33What choice do we make? Do we follow God or do we choose
- 37:36something selfish? So there's a there's a process
- 37:40and we can ask God and you know, maybe during that process, we
- 37:44just say, like, this is a hard decision for me.
- 37:46I really want to do this. But God, please help me with
- 37:50this. Send your Holy Spirit, give me
- 37:51strength so I can overcome this, because it does say that we can
- 37:55overcome temptation like he never tempts us greater than
- 37:59what we can endure. And he also gives us a way out.
- 38:05So if we say, oh, it's impossible, I can't do it.
- 38:08That's because we're relying on ourselves and we're not relying
- 38:11on God. And the Word of God says he's
- 38:13not going to do that. He's going to give you a way out
- 38:16so that you can avoid the temptation.
- 38:19So then it says, see, the Lord is coming out of his dwelling to
- 38:24punish the people of the earth. What for?
- 38:29For their sins, the earth will disclose the blood shed on it.
- 38:34The earth will conceal its slain no longer.
- 38:38So this that's the end of chapter 26.
- 38:42And like I said, there are other chapters that I think I did read
- 38:47John chapter 3, but I also want to I read part of it.
- 38:52I want to read John chapter 14 and I'm going to read that whole
- 38:56chapter because this is again, like Jesus comforting his
- 39:01disciples and he's talking about the second coming.
- 39:04He's talking about when he returns, and this is what he
- 39:07told his closer, closest followers.
- 39:11You can find that in John chapter 14.
- 39:13So I'm going to read that now. Jesus comforts his disciples.
- 39:17Do not let your hearts be troubled.
- 39:19You believe in God, believe also in me.
- 39:23My Father's house has many rooms.
- 39:27If that were not so, would I have told you that I am going
- 39:31there to prepare a place for you?
- 39:34So he's telling his disciples that.
- 39:36But I think this also applies to the believers that will be going
- 39:41to meet Him in the sky. What's he going to do with them?
- 39:44You know, he's all this time that he's been away, He's been
- 39:47preparing something for this day, the day of the Lord.
- 39:53Think about that. And if I go and prepare a place
- 39:57for you, I will come back and take you to be with me, that you
- 40:05also may be where I am. You know the way to the place
- 40:11where I'm going. So isn't that neat?
- 40:14Jesus is coming back for his friends.
- 40:16Basically, if you have a relationship with God, if you
- 40:18love God, if you have the Holy Spirit, he is coming back to
- 40:22take you to the heavenly realms. He said he told his disciples,
- 40:26and this is written down in Scripture so that we can all see
- 40:29this and God doesn't show favoritism.
- 40:32And I think this applies to all of us beyond just his disciples,
- 40:38because we would consider ourselves disciples if we are
- 40:41following the way of Jesus, if we are choosing to live the way
- 40:46Jesus would want us to live, then we are disciples.
- 40:49We are learning from Christ. And that's one of the things the
- 40:52Great Commission was to go and make disciples of people, not go
- 40:57and make teacher or leaders or anything else.
- 41:01It's go and make disciples, go and make people who study the
- 41:04word of God, people who follow it.
- 41:06That's what the Great Commission is, is get people into the word,
- 41:10get people to read the word, get people to turn to God.
- 41:15So continuing on in chapter 14, Jesus the way to the Father,
- 41:19Thomas said to him, Lord, we don't know where you are going,
- 41:23so how can we know the way? Jesus answered, I am the way and
- 41:29the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
- 41:33except through me. If you really know me, you will
- 41:37know my Father as well from now on.
- 41:43From now on, you do know him and have seen him, Philip said.
- 41:49Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.
- 41:53Jesus answered. Don't you know me, Philip?
- 41:57Even after I have been among you such a long time, anyone who has
- 42:02seen me has seen the Father. How can you say show us the
- 42:07Father? Don't you believe that I am in
- 42:12the Father and that the Father is in me?
- 42:17The words I say to you, I do not speak on my own authority.
- 42:21Rather it is the Father living in me who is doing his work.
- 42:26You know, that's like the whole, that's the Holy Spirit residing
- 42:28in God. And that's how we are one with
- 42:33with God as well when we have the Holy Spirit.
- 42:37Because that's one of the things that Jesus prayed to the Father
- 42:40before his death. He prayed that they us, all of
- 42:45us could be one with him and the Father as they are 1.
- 42:50So there is something about you and that's there's something
- 42:53about this unification, that of the spirit of 1 spirit, because
- 42:58it is one spirit, it's the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit of God
- 43:02that dwells within people. There's a connection, it's a
- 43:06supernatural connection and that's all I can maybe describe
- 43:10it as. But then God can, when you're
- 43:14submitted to God, God can work through you.
- 43:16That's why some people can do miracles, some people can
- 43:19prophecy, some people can do these different things because
- 43:24of God's Spirit. Nobody does it on their own.
- 43:26There aren't these like special people in the world.
- 43:28The only special people, why they're considered special or
- 43:31you consider them Saints, is because they've surrendered
- 43:34their whole life to God and God works through them.
- 43:37They are just normal, regular human beings.
- 43:39But the difference is they surrender to God and they love
- 43:43God, so they obey God. So any single one of us can also
- 43:47be that special person if we surrender our selfishness and
- 43:54grow close to God. God can work through us too.
- 43:58Every single person who knows what he's going to do with you,
- 44:00He, you know, he has a purpose for every single person.
- 44:03And when we seek Him, then let us know what that purpose is.
- 44:07So he, Jesus, continues to say, believe me when I say that I am
- 44:13in the Father and the Father is in me.
- 44:16Or at least believe on the evidence of the works
- 44:19themselves. You know, like if there's
- 44:21miracles happening, it's God who's doing that.
- 44:24Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works
- 44:31I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than
- 44:37these because I'm going to the Father.
- 44:40So isn't that interesting? Jesus says that we're going to
- 44:42do greater things than what Jesus did.
- 44:45Why? Not on our own power, but the
- 44:47power of the Holy Spirit. And it takes us being submitted
- 44:52to God, us being obedient. God's not going to give His
- 44:55Spirit to somebody who's disobedient.
- 44:57He can't trust the person with the Spirit.
- 45:00If they're disobedient, what are they going to do with it?
- 45:03They would do something harmful with it.
- 45:05So God is going to trust the people He knows are obedient to
- 45:08Him and are surrendered to Him, and those people will have the
- 45:12Holy Spirit. So Jesus says, and I will do
- 45:17whatever you ask in my name. That's why people pray and say
- 45:22in the name of Jesus, I will do whatever you ask in my name, so
- 45:27that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- 45:31So everything, all miracles are for the glory of God.
- 45:36God wants to be known. That's the reason behind any
- 45:41kind of miracles. It's not for the actual thing
- 45:44that happens, although that's a blessing, but it's not for that
- 45:47purpose. The greater purpose is so that
- 45:51God is revealed, so that God is glorified.
- 45:55You may ask me, Jesus says you may ask me for anything in my
- 46:00name and I will do it. Now we can't take that
- 46:04completely literal because Jesus isn't going to do things that
- 46:07are against God's will. So we have to know that whatever
- 46:09we're asking for has to be in God's will.
- 46:14But he says if it's if we know what we're asking for is in
- 46:18God's will in the name of Jesus, ask for anything in my name and
- 46:23I will do it. I guess one thing that we have
- 46:27to know is that, you know, if you want prayers answered, you
- 46:32better first look at how obedient are you to God, How
- 46:36surrendered are you to God? And if you have things that you
- 46:41need to work on to get rid of your life, get the sin out of
- 46:45your life. Do that before you start asking
- 46:47for something or expecting something to be answered.
- 46:50Because you know, why would why would God do it?
- 46:53If you're like sinning all the time and then you say, but God,
- 46:56I really want this. This is in your will.
- 46:58Like maybe he'll do it, maybe he won't, I don't know.
- 47:03So then Jesus says, if you love me, keep my commands.
- 47:07So we can't get away from the obedience of the 10 commandments
- 47:11or anything that Jesus said if you love me, obey my commands.
- 47:15So we always need to think, you know, is this something that
- 47:19Jesus would permit? The only way that God would
- 47:21permit, the only way we can know that is by reading the Bible to
- 47:24know what's in the Bible. And it would be it's just
- 47:27foolish. And we lack wisdom if we don't
- 47:29stay in the word because we don't study what the laws of God
- 47:34are. I mean, that's, that's like a
- 47:36blessing. That's like a power that you get
- 47:38from reading the word. You start, you get wisdom, you
- 47:43get knowledge actually. But then when you apply it to
- 47:45your life, that's wisdom and it there's AI think Solomon said,
- 47:51you know, whatever you do, or it might be proverbs, I can't
- 47:54remember, but it just says like seek wisdom.
- 47:57The greatest thing you can do is seek wisdom.
- 48:01And so anyway, Jesus continues, Well, I I'm going to start
- 48:04again. If you love me, keep my commands
- 48:06and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another
- 48:11advocate to help you and to be with you forever.
- 48:15The spirit of truth, the world cannot accept Him because it
- 48:21neither sees him nor knows Him. But you know him, for He lives
- 48:27with you, probably referring to Jesus himself and will be in
- 48:33you. So the indwelling of the Spirit,
- 48:37the spirit of truth, I think that's kind of interesting too.
- 48:39So the spirit of truth, I want to look at that in the blue
- 48:46letter Bible where it says, I don't know, that's interesting.
- 48:55OK, so this is something that you do.
- 48:57OK, there it is, the Spirit, the Numa.
- 49:00OK, we're in the Greek now. So Numa is different from Rua,
- 49:04but I guess that's a comparison. But Numa is the spirit.
- 49:07And then of truth, let's see what that says.
- 49:12Truth, truly true. Verity, something in truth.
- 49:16Certainty. What is true at pertaining to
- 49:18God and the duties of man. Moral and religious truth.
- 49:22The truth is taught in the Christian religion, respecting
- 49:25God and the execution of His purposes through Christ and
- 49:28respecting the duties of man, opposing alike the superstitions
- 49:32of the Gentiles and the intentions of the Jews and the
- 49:35corrupt opinions and precepts of false teachers even among
- 49:38Christians. So knowing, I guess discernment
- 49:43really is what that would apply to.
- 49:45That's what it sounds like to me, that you will get
- 49:49discernment, the spirit of discernment, of knowing what is
- 49:53true and what is not true. I will not leave you as orphans.
- 49:58I will come to you. So look at this too.
- 50:03Jesus will come. Before long the world will not
- 50:07see me anymore. See, Jesus knew he was going to
- 50:09die, but you will see me because I live.
- 50:14You will also live. So after he died on the cross,
- 50:18he came back and he met with his friends in an upper room that
- 50:23was locked and came into it without anybody unlocking the
- 50:26door. He just appeared there and then
- 50:28he also met with I think a group of like 500 people at one point
- 50:33that saw him and various people along the way.
- 50:37He came back and it was a. Over a period of I think 40
- 50:39days. 40 or 50 days, I think it was 40 days.
- 50:43He was appearing to people and people were eating with him and
- 50:46drinking. I, I get not drinking, but maybe
- 50:50having water or something because he also said that he
- 50:53would never, he's not going to drink of the wine until he has
- 50:57it with his friends. I think at the wedding supper.
- 51:00So but he that's what he says, before long the world will not
- 51:04see me anymore because he died, but you will see me.
- 51:07So because he returned, because I live, you will also live.
- 51:10So Jesus is living. He was eating with them, I think
- 51:14by the side of the the Dead Sea one time when he multiplied
- 51:19loaves of bread. I think that's if I'm not
- 51:22getting it out of order that I think that was after his
- 51:25resurrection, but I'm not quite sure.
- 51:28But anyway, he was, he definitely, I know I looked that
- 51:30up in Scripture. He definitely was eating food.
- 51:33Jesus was. So it's not this like spirit
- 51:36invisible transparent body that you can see through and it's
- 51:40just like a representation of something.
- 51:42No, this is a physical actual body, but immortal.
- 51:46And Jesus was the evidence. And you know, if we're going to
- 51:49be like Jesus and we're going to live like Jesus and we're going
- 51:52to be in this like immortal body, apparently we don't have
- 51:55to go through doors anymore. We can just appear in rooms like
- 51:58Jesus did. I don't know.
- 52:00I mean, that's what he did. So is he.
- 52:02He's the example of what we have to look forward to.
- 52:04So it's going to be totally different than what we know
- 52:08today. So on that day, this is probably
- 52:11the day of the Lord or whenever he returns to them, you will
- 52:14realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in
- 52:21you. This is, I guess that that
- 52:24spiritual connection that people who have the Holy Spirit have
- 52:29with God. We become one with God.
- 52:32Whoever has my commands and keeps them, remember keeps them.
- 52:38Were obedient to his commands is the one who loves me.
- 52:43The one who loves me will be loved by my Father and I too
- 52:49will love them and show myself to them.
- 52:53So God will reveal, Jesus will reveal himself to the ones who
- 53:01keep the commands and show him that we love Him.
- 53:05Then Judas, not Judas, Iscariot said.
- 53:09But Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to
- 53:13the world? Jesus replied.
- 53:16Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching.
- 53:21My Father will love them and we will come to them and make our
- 53:27home with them. So I think you know what that
- 53:30does apply when Jesus goes to prepare a place for his
- 53:33disciples. I think this and this applies to
- 53:36anyone who loves me will obey my teaching and and then they're
- 53:41welcomed in God's home. So any of us who obey God and
- 53:47have the Holy Spirit will be taken into the place that Jesus
- 53:52has made. And God doesn't do anything
- 53:56halfway. Anything he does is spectacular.
- 53:59So I can't even imagine what God has prepared.
- 54:04Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching.
- 54:08So lack of obedience to God's teaching is basically saying I
- 54:13don't love you God. These words you hear are not my
- 54:17own. They belong to the Father who
- 54:20sent me. All this I have spoken while
- 54:23still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy
- 54:27Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you
- 54:32all these things, all things, and will remind you of
- 54:36everything I have said to you. I think the Holy Spirit does
- 54:40that when we read scripture and then certain other scripture
- 54:44comes to mind or we recall something else that's in
- 54:48scripture. Like I experienced that now and
- 54:51I can tell you that my memory is not that great.
- 54:54I forget like certain words sometimes and and I'm like,
- 54:57gosh, what's going on with me? But when I get into scripture, I
- 55:01have no problem like that. I'm just like flooded with like,
- 55:05Oh, this is a connection here in this book.
- 55:07And this was say stated here, I don't know where these things
- 55:10are. I have to go to an electronic
- 55:11Bible, to our digital Bible and search the words that come to
- 55:15mind. And then I can find these other
- 55:17chapters and things. But I know them.
- 55:19I just don't know exactly where they are in the Bible.
- 55:22And this is only, you know, been since 2019.
- 55:26I've been reading the Bible much daily And, and it, it's, I
- 55:32didn't have this recollection before.
- 55:34I didn't know any of this stuff. And it just happens.
- 55:36And I think the more you're in the word of God, the more that
- 55:38will happen. Even people who don't have great
- 55:40memories because again, it's not us, it's God.
- 55:44I think it's the Holy Spirit bringing these things to our
- 55:46minds. Jesus continues to say, peace I
- 55:50leave with you, my peace I give you.
- 55:53I do not give you as the world gives.
- 55:56Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- 56:00All throughout the Bible it always says have No Fear.
- 56:03No Fear. Actually John Reddick has a
- 56:06really good song out called No Fear.
- 56:07You might want to check it out, but it's just No Fear John
- 56:11Reddick. And that's you know the the
- 56:13mighty name of Jesus. OK, so you heard me say I am
- 56:18going away and I am coming back to you.
- 56:21If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the
- 56:25Father for the Father is greater than I.
- 56:29That is interesting. So that really stands out.
- 56:33I don't know if we do have the the actual good understanding of
- 56:37Scripture that we've been taught.
- 56:39I think the word of God really just tells us because you know
- 56:43it. He says here the father is
- 56:46greater than I and Jesus always like said to worship the father,
- 56:51but he's also in the Father. He is the he is the Son of God
- 56:57and by the Son, I guess, you know, there's, there's just this
- 57:01mystery of the father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- 57:05And but the Holy Spirit connects them.
- 57:07The Holy Spirit is how Jesus was conceived.
- 57:10So Mary didn't Joseph was not the dad.
- 57:13He was like a stepdad for Jesus. The Holy Spirit enabled Mary to
- 57:19have a baby and so that he was, you know, human because Mary
- 57:26gave birth to him, but he was also God because the Spirit of
- 57:30God was of him. So he's he's both God and human.
- 57:37And so that is a great mystery because we don't have a lot of
- 57:42that. He was conceived of the Holy
- 57:44Spirit. So but he, he does the Father's
- 57:49will, Jesus does the Father's will.
- 57:52He's he's spoken to the Father saying not your will, but mine.
- 57:56So I, you know, there is a great mystery and whether it's just
- 58:00that I don't interpret Scripture correctly.
- 58:03Maybe that is, but God knows my heart.
- 58:05I'm trying to understand this great mystery, but the two of
- 58:09them talk together and and then he also says that we're going to
- 58:14be like brothers and sisters to him.
- 58:16But the father is, is different. So I believe there is God the
- 58:21Father and his son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit that connects
- 58:27all of this. So and then connects all of us
- 58:30to him where we will actually be one in spirit with them in the
- 58:37future. And that's from reading the
- 58:38Bible. It's not from what anybody
- 58:40taught me. And pray about that.
- 58:42Don't just take my word. Look into it yourself.
- 58:44But these are things that my eyes are opening up to.
- 58:46So John 14 verse 28 is the one that says you heard me say I am
- 58:51going away and and I'm coming back to you.
- 58:54If you loved me, you would be glad that I'm going to the
- 58:57Father, for the Father is greater than I.
- 59:02So John chapter 14, verse 29, I have told you now before it
- 59:07happens, so that when it does happen, you will believe.
- 59:12I will not say much more to you. For the Prince of this world is
- 59:15coming. That's referring to Satan, I
- 59:18believe. He has no hold over me, but He
- 59:22comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and
- 59:29do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
- 59:34Come now, let us leave. So Jesus is obedient to the
- 59:37Father and that I don't know, that's just amazing and
- 59:42insightful to me because I don't know that all churches teach
- 59:46everything, but just get in the word of God and and search it
- 59:49more and pray about it. So the other thing is that we
- 59:56were talked about like the people.
- 59:59So the people who have prepared themselves will raise from the
- 1:00:02dead, and the living people who are alive, when Jesus returns
- 1:00:05will go up to meet him, to be gathered to him, and I believe
- 1:00:08will go into this place where God has prepared rooms for
- 1:00:11everyone. But then the people who had
- 1:00:14rejected him and the evil ones, they're still dead in the earth.
- 1:00:18They don't rise. They rise after the 1000 years.
- 1:00:22And so I wanted to read a little bit about these thousand years
- 1:00:27just to give some insight. And actually, there's only,
- 1:00:33well, it occurs 27 times in 12 verses, and then there's 10
- 1:00:38exact verses that are shown first.
- 1:00:40So I'm just going to read these 10 things.
- 1:00:42In Psalm 90, it says 1000 years in your site are like a day that
- 1:00:48has just gone by or like a watch in the night.
- 1:00:51So to God, because of eternity, 1000 years is like a day.
- 1:00:55And there's also this like mathematical formula that many
- 1:00:59are applying to the Bible. And even the ancient people who
- 1:01:04studied the Bible, who believed, who wrote these things down,
- 1:01:08they believed it too. They believe that mankind has
- 1:01:106000 years or six days to complete whatever it is humanity
- 1:01:16does. And then at that point, that is
- 1:01:18when Jesus will return. And then the last thousand years
- 1:01:23will be with Jesus reigning as king.
- 1:01:25So there will be a complete 7000 years or seven days, because a
- 1:01:31day is like 1000 years to God. So just interesting stuff.
- 1:01:36Even if he lives 1000 years twice over but fails to enjoy
- 1:01:40his prosperity, do they not do not all go to the same place?
- 1:01:45That's Ecclesiastes. So Solomon wrote that, but do
- 1:01:49not forget this one thing, dear friends with the Lord, A day is
- 1:01:53like 1000 years and 1000 years are like a day.
- 1:01:57So Peter said that in chapter 3 verse 8.
- 1:02:01Then in Revelation it says he seized the dragon, the that
- 1:02:07ancient serpent who is the devil or Satan and bound him for 1000
- 1:02:13years. So when Jesus returns and his
- 1:02:15wrath is completed before he reigns for the 1000 years, the
- 1:02:21devil is going to be bound up for 1000.
- 1:02:24Years so. And so he can't tempt people
- 1:02:28anymore. So people will have this second
- 1:02:30chance during that thousand years.
- 1:02:32Any other survivors, anybody who dies, if you die without Christ,
- 1:02:37without believing, then you're not going to have a second
- 1:02:40chance. But the people who survive on
- 1:02:42the earth survive through the wrath of God.
- 1:02:44I don't know how, unless maybe they turn to God and repent of
- 1:02:50their sins, but it says most people will not do that.
- 1:02:53So but there's going to be very few survivors.
- 1:02:56So there will be some though. But this is talking about Jesus.
- 1:03:00He in Revelation 20, he threw him into the abyss and locked
- 1:03:06and sealed it over him to keep him from deceiving the nation's
- 1:03:10anymore until the 1000 years were ended.
- 1:03:14After that he must be free, set free for a short time.
- 1:03:19I don't know why. That's must be God's law.
- 1:03:21We don't know the reasons why behind everything that's said in
- 1:03:25Scripture. But that's what it says.
- 1:03:27Jesus is going to throw Satan into the place called the Abyss,
- 1:03:31and he's going to be locked and sealed.
- 1:03:33So he can't. Go out to people at that point
- 1:03:37and but after that he's going to be set free for a short time.
- 1:03:42I saw and then in Revelation 20 chapter 4, I saw this is John
- 1:03:46talking about. I saw Thrones on which were
- 1:03:48seated. Those who had been given
- 1:03:51authority to judge. So God's going to give some
- 1:03:54authority to people that are authority to Psalm.
- 1:03:58I don't know if they're people or not.
- 1:04:00I think they're people, but maybe not to judge.
- 1:04:03And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of
- 1:04:09their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God.
- 1:04:13You know, today people are being beheaded because they're
- 1:04:16Christians. This is happening in certain the
- 1:04:19Muslims are the ones who are doing this to people and it's
- 1:04:22happening all over the world. But it's not really getting a
- 1:04:24lot of press, but some are. You can search that search
- 1:04:30online social media and find out because people are being
- 1:04:33beheaded. Christians are being beheaded
- 1:04:35about and so that they, you know, to be beheaded, they're
- 1:04:39they're believing in Jesus. And because of the word of the
- 1:04:41God now it says they had not worshipped the beast or its
- 1:04:48image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their
- 1:04:52hands. They came to life and reigned
- 1:04:56with Christ 1000 years. So the people who get killed
- 1:05:02because of their belief in Jesus, they're going to be
- 1:05:06reigning with Christ during this thousand years.
- 1:05:10And notice that it says the ones who didn't worship the beast.
- 1:05:14So there's going to be something that we are required to take
- 1:05:19some sort of a mark and it says on their foreheads or their
- 1:05:22hands where we can't buy or sell without it.
- 1:05:25And if we choose to, as you know, as I say, love the world,
- 1:05:31you know, I mean, we're going to just have to we're going to have
- 1:05:33to say like we cannot operate in society if we don't have this
- 1:05:38mark. So a lot of people are going to
- 1:05:39say, I've got to do this, whatever it is.
- 1:05:42And but if you do that, that means you are, there's no
- 1:05:46forgiveness after that. You are eternally separated from
- 1:05:50God that you are not forgiven. I don't know if there's going to
- 1:05:53be like something genetically, we've got all this kind of like
- 1:05:55transhuman stuff that's happening now and technology.
- 1:06:00And I don't know if it, it just like does something to our
- 1:06:02bodies or to our minds or something that prevents us from
- 1:06:06ever turning to God. It could perhaps do that.
- 1:06:08Maybe that's why it can't be forgiven, because it can't be
- 1:06:11undone, because it will affect our physical body.
- 1:06:14But whatever it is, we cannot accept whatever this future mark
- 1:06:20is that will enable us to participate in the world.
- 1:06:24We're going to have to accept our own death if it comes to
- 1:06:27that be, you know, if Jesus doesn't, if we I don't, I think
- 1:06:34Jesus returns before it gathers as people before this happens,
- 1:06:40but I'm really not sure. And there's a lot of people that
- 1:06:45I, I think we are going to see what they call the Antichrist of
- 1:06:48the laws one and are the, the one who's going to have a
- 1:06:52require everybody to take this Mark, I think we are, I'm, you
- 1:06:56know, the way I read scripture, it clearly to me says that we
- 1:06:59are going to know who this person is.
- 1:07:01Now, at what point Jesus returns after that person is known, I am
- 1:07:08not sure. I don't know how long we have to
- 1:07:10endure. Do we have to endure 3 1/2
- 1:07:12years? Maybe Do we have to endure a
- 1:07:15shorter period of time? Maybe.
- 1:07:18I'm not sure, but whatever. We're going to have to endure
- 1:07:21some amount of time. But at that point, when this
- 1:07:26person is revealed, that's when we know that Jesus will be
- 1:07:29returning. There's a lot of people who
- 1:07:31don't see it that way. They've been taught a different
- 1:07:34way and they think they're not going to see the Antichrist.
- 1:07:38So anybody who knows and re scripture and realizes that we
- 1:07:44are going to see the Antichrist, then hopefully everyone who
- 1:07:48knows that will help the people who thought they were going to
- 1:07:52be gone before that happened and encourage them in faith to say
- 1:07:56that, you know, no, the Bible doesn't say that.
- 1:07:59You were just taught something that wasn't true.
- 1:08:02But we are going to be removed before wrath.
- 1:08:04So I'm going to talk about that part.
- 1:08:06But God's wrath, we do not suffer God's wrath.
- 1:08:08But it very clearly, because I really, really studied this and
- 1:08:13it's amazing when you talk to anybody who has it ingrained in
- 1:08:17their mind that they're not going to see the Antichrist, how
- 1:08:19angry they get when you try to show them.
- 1:08:21And it's so clear in scripture. I came into this with no
- 1:08:25preconceived notions about what to expect.
- 1:08:28I was just seeking to learn. And so I was listening to what
- 1:08:32everybody said and and I, you know, had my own thoughts about
- 1:08:36it. But then as I read Scripture,
- 1:08:38I'm like, I don't know if I believe really what anybody has
- 1:08:41said, because to me, I'm just going to go by what scripture
- 1:08:44says. And scripture does say that, you
- 1:08:46know, there's going to be a falling away from people of
- 1:08:48faith there. The lawless 1 is going to be
- 1:08:51revealed. And then after that is when
- 1:08:53Jesus will appear on the clouds. So search for yourself if you
- 1:08:58don't believe me. But we are going to see this
- 1:09:01Antichrist and and we just cannot accept cannot take the
- 1:09:07mark. I think the, the whole C-19
- 1:09:14thing that we went through was a trial run.
- 1:09:17And so anybody who agreed to take the the shot really needs
- 1:09:23to make sure that you are strong in Christ.
- 1:09:27And then you realize that you cannot do that again.
- 1:09:31You cannot accept something that the government tells you to do
- 1:09:35the, you know, whoever this beast is, this entity, these
- 1:09:37rulers, and there's also going to be a religious figure that's
- 1:09:41going to tell you to do it. It's a false prophet, but he's
- 1:09:43the one who forces people to take the mark of the beast.
- 1:09:46So you can't listen to any of that.
- 1:09:49Hopefully we've learned our lesson in 2019 and what happened
- 1:09:55in 2020. And, and so I think that was God
- 1:09:59just allowing a warning to happen to us.
- 1:10:01So you cannot trust the, the, the world and what they're
- 1:10:06telling you to do. You've got to trust the Bible
- 1:10:09and do not take it whatever you do because it cannot be undone
- 1:10:14once that happens. OK.
- 1:10:16Revelation 20 verse 5. The rest of the dead did not
- 1:10:20come to life until the 1000 years were ended.
- 1:10:23This is the first resurrection. So it says blessed and holy are
- 1:10:30those who share in the first resurrection.
- 1:10:33Blessed well, that we got a gift and holy, remember that word.
- 1:10:38Holy are those who share in the first resurrection.
- 1:10:41We need to be holy. How are we going to be holy
- 1:10:43except if we have the Holy Spirit, right?
- 1:10:46We're not holy on our own. We're only holy through Christ
- 1:10:50and so. What?
- 1:10:53This is very clear that we have to be holy.
- 1:10:55Now, does a holy person sin? Not intentionally.
- 1:11:00Maybe there's an accident here and there where they do sin, but
- 1:11:04then they feel horrible about it and go to God and say please
- 1:11:06take this away. Ask, you know, ask for
- 1:11:09forgiveness. Ask you know that I don't know
- 1:11:13that God forgive. And so, but you have to be holy.
- 1:11:17Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection.
- 1:11:21The second death has no power over them, but they will be
- 1:11:26priests of God and of Christ and will reign with them for 1000
- 1:11:31years. So if we go up in the first
- 1:11:34resurrection, we will reign with Christ for 1000 years.
- 1:11:40When the 1000 years are over, Satan will be released from his
- 1:11:44prison. And that's in verse 7.
- 1:11:47So again, when we were talking about timings of things, knowing
- 1:11:52wrath versus tribulation I think is important.
- 1:11:56And those who are in Christ, those who have the Holy Spirit
- 1:12:00will not experience wrath because it says in Scripture
- 1:12:04that we will not experience wrath.
- 1:12:08So I will read some of the things about wrath.
- 1:12:12There's a lot if you search wrath, there's, there's a lot of
- 1:12:16verses, but I'm reading like there were 1234 different search
- 1:12:21results, but I'm not going to read all of them, but I will
- 1:12:24read some and I'm going to read the last ones from Zephaniah
- 1:12:31through Revelation. Just so we're clear about Wrath
- 1:12:37in Zephaniah 3 it says wait, therefore wait for me, declares
- 1:12:41the Lord for the day. I will stand up to testify.
- 1:12:45I have decided to assemble the nations to gather the kingdoms
- 1:12:49and to pour out my wrath on them.
- 1:12:52All my fierce anger. The whole world will be consumed
- 1:12:57by the fire of my jealous anger. Now we who are in Christ, who
- 1:13:01have the Holy Spirit, are not going to be part of that, and
- 1:13:03we'll get to that later. But it does say that in
- 1:13:05Scripture. But the whole world who did not
- 1:13:09turn to Jesus is going to experience God's wrath.
- 1:13:13Malachi says in chapter 1. Edom may say though we have been
- 1:13:18crushed, we will be, We will rebuild the runes.
- 1:13:21But this is what the Lord Almighty says.
- 1:13:23They may build, but I will demolish.
- 1:13:25They will be called a wicked land, a people always under the
- 1:13:30wrath of God. Edom is modern day Jordan and
- 1:13:35God's house is a house for all people.
- 1:13:38So if people from Edom or people from Jordan turn to God and
- 1:13:43accept Jesus, they they can avoid this.
- 1:13:46But right now if they don't it, it says that it'll be called a
- 1:13:52wicked land, a people always under the wrath of the Lord in
- 1:13:57Matthew chapter 3. But when he saw many of the
- 1:14:01Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he
- 1:14:05said to them, you brood of Vipers, who warned you to flee
- 1:14:10from the coming wrath? I think that's a really
- 1:14:13interesting thing. This is John the Baptist who
- 1:14:15said this to the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
- 1:14:18These were Jewish sects, Jewish believers that were not
- 1:14:22believing in Christ. They were just like keepers of
- 1:14:25the law, but they were coming to where he was baptizing and he's
- 1:14:30he's he's rebuking them. He's calling him Vipers are
- 1:14:34snakes or you know, something that's related to Satan and he's
- 1:14:38like, who warned? You to flee.
- 1:14:40From the coming wrath. So remember, Jesus says repent
- 1:14:44and be baptized. Well, and Jesus was baptized and
- 1:14:48at his baptism, the Holy Spirit descended on him and he received
- 1:14:52the Holy Spirit. Now, that doesn't always happen
- 1:14:55in that sequence because I did read the book of Acts and other
- 1:14:58things and the Holy Spirit can actually come on someone before
- 1:15:01they get baptized. And, and there's evidence of
- 1:15:05that in the book of Acts, but it also sometimes comes on after
- 1:15:11somebody's been baptized. I really think it has to do with
- 1:15:14whether we surrender or not if we receive the Holy Spirit
- 1:15:18because we can go through the act, the the act of baptism, we
- 1:15:21could not have our hearts truly turned and go through the
- 1:15:24actions of it. And our life's not going to
- 1:15:26change. It's not some magical thing that
- 1:15:29happens. It's, it's symbolic of, I don't
- 1:15:35know, it's just, it's showing outwardly showing God that we
- 1:15:39are choosing to be obedient to him.
- 1:15:42Now, our hearts cannot really mean it and we can go through
- 1:15:45the process of it and nothing will change.
- 1:15:48It's a matter of our minds, what we've set our minds on.
- 1:15:51Are we setting our minds on being obedient to Christ or are
- 1:15:54we just going through the motions to do this thing because
- 1:15:58people said we should do it? There's a difference.
- 1:16:01And if you're doing it just because somebody said to do it,
- 1:16:04but you're probably not going to receive the Holy Spirit.
- 1:16:08For me, I didn't even expect anything.
- 1:16:11I was doing it because I finally made the decision that I wasn't
- 1:16:14going to be a hypocrite. I always called myself a
- 1:16:16Christian, but I didn't live like what the Bible says.
- 1:16:19And so I delayed because I didn't want to give up my sin.
- 1:16:24And so I delayed getting baptized for a while.
- 1:16:28I didn't get baptized until 21. I read the Bible in 19.
- 1:16:31It was 2 years of reading the Bible before I actually was, I
- 1:16:36guess, convicted by the Holy Spirit to do something about it.
- 1:16:39And I decided if I'm going to do it, I'm not going to be a
- 1:16:41hypocrite. I'm going to be true.
- 1:16:44I'm going to be honest about it and I'm really going to want, I
- 1:16:49mean I'm really going to do my best to abide by God's laws and,
- 1:16:55and live that way. And I believe the Holy Spirit
- 1:16:59actually came to me at that point or I had the Spirit of God
- 1:17:02because I started having dreams, dreams about Jesus, the power of
- 1:17:07Jesus. And I've had like 70 ish dreams
- 1:17:11since then and I haven't had one for the last month, I guess.
- 1:17:16But there's, there's been seriously some prophetic things.
- 1:17:21Not like, well, yeah, I mean, there's been events that have
- 1:17:24happened that were so symbolic I didn't quite understand.
- 1:17:27But then when I look back on them, I'm like, wow, that was
- 1:17:30about that. And then there would actually be
- 1:17:33scenes from my dream that would show up in my real life.
- 1:17:38And that would just it, it just astounded me when that happened.
- 1:17:41I was like, Oh my gosh, I just dreamt about this.
- 1:17:43So now this is happening in my real life.
- 1:17:45So that's where I believe that when I got baptized that I did
- 1:17:51receive the Holy Spirit that evening because that's when the
- 1:17:54dream started. And I never had dreams like this
- 1:17:56before. And again, they keep, they've
- 1:17:58been going on for these past ever since 2021 is when I had
- 1:18:04it. It didn't start when I was
- 1:18:05reading the Bible. It started when I actually went
- 1:18:07and got baptized. That was the night that I had my
- 1:18:09first dream, so. That.
- 1:18:12God is it's you know, knowing scripture is truly it's a
- 1:18:18treasure. It really is.
- 1:18:20So Luke chapter 3 says John said to the crowds coming out to be
- 1:18:25baptized. You brood of Vipers who warned
- 1:18:27you to flee for the coming wrath.
- 1:18:29So again, it people are being obedient by getting baptized.
- 1:18:32That's what Jesus said to do. He said repent and be baptized.
- 1:18:37And so if we are not going to be a hypocrite and live out our
- 1:18:41Christian faith, then we are protected from wrath.
- 1:18:44Like he's saying, you know, how are you guys trying to do this?
- 1:18:47Because he's like, he's calling you you Vipers, you know, and
- 1:18:52and Jesus even said that they were from the synagogue of Satan
- 1:18:56is what he called them at one point because he knew their
- 1:18:59hearts. He knew that they were what they
- 1:19:01were, what was inside them, not what maybe they showed, but they
- 1:19:06maybe kept the law and appeared on the outside to be religious
- 1:19:09people. But Jesus knew the Spirit in
- 1:19:13them, within them, and knew it was not of God because they
- 1:19:17didn't recognize him as the Son of God.
- 1:19:20And so this is something about the baptism where you're who,
- 1:19:24who warned you to flee from the coming wrath.
- 1:19:27So this baptism perhaps will protect us from the wrath of God
- 1:19:32when we're not doing it just for the action, but we're doing it
- 1:19:35because of sincere desire to please God and be obedient to
- 1:19:39God. Luke 21 says how dreadful it
- 1:19:45will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing
- 1:19:48mothers. There will be great distress in
- 1:19:50the land and wrath against this people.
- 1:19:53So this is when the lawless 1 is revealed.
- 1:19:56There's the wrath that comes out.
- 1:19:58Now some people teach this as Satan's wrath and say that we
- 1:20:03are subject to Satan's wrath, but we are not subject to God's
- 1:20:06wrath. That could be, but.
- 1:20:09But sometimes what I think is that God actually uses evil
- 1:20:13people or and God's going to use this lawless one to bring about
- 1:20:18wrath on people. So ultimately God controls that.
- 1:20:22So I'm not sure if it's just Satan's wrath or if God is
- 1:20:27actually using Satan to do wrath against the people to get them
- 1:20:33to actually turn and also to punish the ones who have been
- 1:20:36disobedient and rejected him. So then John chapter 3 says this
- 1:20:41is the same chapter where it talks about being born again.
- 1:20:44Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever
- 1:20:49rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on
- 1:20:55them. So yes, all of our Muslim
- 1:20:58friends who reject the Son of God will not see life.
- 1:21:04However, I do know that God is Jesus is appearing to Muslim in
- 1:21:09dreams. So just like I started having
- 1:21:11dreams about the power of Jesus, he didn't appear to me in my
- 1:21:15dreams, but it was all the power of Jesus.
- 1:21:17The power of the name of Jesus was coming to me in dreams and I
- 1:21:21never dreamt about that stuff before.
- 1:21:23So I can testify that this is true.
- 1:21:27Like this stuff happened to me and I do.
- 1:21:30I have seen that Jesus is appearing to Muslims and they
- 1:21:34are believing so. But ones who reject him, just
- 1:21:37like other, just like Christians, you know, that are
- 1:21:40not obedient to God, they're going to go through wrath.
- 1:21:44But the ones who are obedient to God and who are submitting to
- 1:21:47God and obeying his commandments, they're not going
- 1:21:50to be subject to wrath. But the ones who don't believe
- 1:21:53in Jesus, and that includes the Jewish people, they're going to
- 1:21:57be subject to God's wrath. You know, there are Jewish
- 1:22:00Messianic Jews. So there are people who live
- 1:22:03according to the Jewish customs, but they believe in the Messiah.
- 1:22:06They believe that Jesus is the Messiah, that Jesus is the Son
- 1:22:09of God. So not all Jewish people will
- 1:22:13experience the wrath, the God, but the ones who are still blind
- 1:22:18because of their disobedience, because they are, they haven't
- 1:22:21accepted Jesus, God's wrath is going to be on them.
- 1:22:27And remember that we're studying the book of Isaiah.
- 1:22:30This was written in 722 BC. So there's no excuse if people
- 1:22:35read the word of God and you pray to God and you ask for
- 1:22:37revelation and you ask for the Holy Spirit to reveal things to
- 1:22:41you, the the Jewish people can, if they read, they can get to
- 1:22:48know Jesus through Scripture. OK, Romans chapter 1, the wrath
- 1:22:55of God is being revealed from heaven against all the
- 1:22:58godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth by
- 1:23:04by their wickedness. Romans chapter 2 says, But
- 1:23:08because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are
- 1:23:13storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's
- 1:23:17wrath when his righteous judgement will be revealed.
- 1:23:21So whatever happens, it's going to be righteous.
- 1:23:24I mean, God's going to be He's a just God.
- 1:23:26He's not bringing wrath on undeserving people.
- 1:23:30Then in Romans chapter 2 it says but for those who are self
- 1:23:33seeking and reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath
- 1:23:40and anger. Romans chapter 3 says but if our
- 1:23:45unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what
- 1:23:50shall we say that God is in just in bringing his wrath on us?
- 1:23:56I'm using a human argument. So yeah.
- 1:24:00I mean, if we are, if we are being unrighteous, God's wrath
- 1:24:05is still there. Now Romans chapter 4, because
- 1:24:08the law brings wrath and there is.
- 1:24:12And where there is no law, there is no transgression.
- 1:24:17So before Jesus died on the cross, the 10 commandments were
- 1:24:24there to guard people, to keep them out of sin so that they
- 1:24:29didn't experience the wrath. But.
- 1:24:32Because of Jesus. We have life because Jesus died
- 1:24:38on the cross and broke the curse of death on us.
- 1:24:42He conquered death, and so if we are under Christ, we are not
- 1:24:48subject to the law, even though we had broken it.
- 1:24:52We are forgiven and we are covered by the blood of Christ,
- 1:24:57by his death on the cross, the sacrifice that he made.
- 1:25:00So we are protected. Even though we were sinners,
- 1:25:05even though we, you know, did certain things, we asked for
- 1:25:10forgiveness and we changed our ways.
- 1:25:12We have the Holy Spirit. God's not going to bring wrath
- 1:25:15on the Holy Spirit on someone who has the Holy Spirit.
- 1:25:19Romans chapter 5 sense since we have now been justified by his
- 1:25:25blood, the blood of Jesus on the cross, how much more shall we be
- 1:25:29saved from God's wrath through him?
- 1:25:32So if we remain in Christ, we remain with the Holy Spirit, we
- 1:25:36will be saved from God's wrath. That means we don't experience
- 1:25:40God's wrath. Romans Chapter 9.
- 1:25:43What if God although choosing to show his wrath and make His
- 1:25:47power known, for with great patience the objects of his
- 1:25:52wrath prepared for destruction. So again we were talking about
- 1:25:58God has patient in His judgement.
- 1:26:00In Isaiah chapter 26 verse 10 it talks about this.
- 1:26:05But when this is going back to Isaiah.
- 1:26:07But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn
- 1:26:10righteousness even in a land of uprightness.
- 1:26:13They go on doing evil and they do not regard the majesty of the
- 1:26:15Lord. So it's but it says when your
- 1:26:19judgement comes upon the earth, the people.
- 1:26:22Of the world. Learn righteousness so there's a
- 1:26:24purpose and you know the grace is the patience and judgement
- 1:26:29when God gives that Romans chapter 12 says do not take
- 1:26:33revenge my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is
- 1:26:38written it is mine to avenge. I will repay, says the Lord.
- 1:26:42We don't have to worry about seeking revenge on anybody.
- 1:26:46We can just pray to God and have God deal with it.
- 1:26:49Romans chapter 13 For the one in in authority is God's servant
- 1:26:55for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid,
- 1:26:59for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason.
- 1:27:04They are God's servants, agents. They are God's servants, agents
- 1:27:10of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
- 1:27:14So this is interesting because God does use wicked people as
- 1:27:21agents to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
- 1:27:26They are actually a servant of God.
- 1:27:27Like God can use even the wicked to do his will and he allows
- 1:27:33certain things to happen. And it says, but if you do
- 1:27:37wrong, be afraid for rulers. Rulers of the world do not bear
- 1:27:42a sword for no reason. So if you are being disobedient,
- 1:27:47watch out because they the ruler, OK?
- 1:27:51That's the other thing. This is about authorities, for
- 1:27:55the one in authority is God's servant for your good.
- 1:27:58So God puts people in positions of power and he takes them away
- 1:28:03from power. He did that with the kings.
- 1:28:04He would allow them and the evil kings that had very short
- 1:28:08periods of time where they could reign and the good ones reigned
- 1:28:11for a little bit longer. You can see that in the length
- 1:28:14when the two kingdoms split apart, one was Israel
- 1:28:18represented by the 10 tribes, and the other was the southern
- 1:28:20portion of Judah. That was Judah and Benjamin.
- 1:28:23When they were separated from one another, the Kingdom of
- 1:28:27Judah and Benjamin lasted longer and they had more good.
- 1:28:31They had about half good kings and half bad kings, but the king
- 1:28:36are the kings of Israel. They were pretty much all bad,
- 1:28:39except for Jehu, who still was wicked, but he actually did.
- 1:28:43He was a servant of God, and he cleared out Ahab's house.
- 1:28:47He was another king, but he was a wicked king, so he took care
- 1:28:51of that for God. He was used as God's servant.
- 1:28:53He was an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the
- 1:28:57wrongdoer. That was Jehu.
- 1:28:58That's what he did. So if we do wrong, we should be
- 1:29:03afraid because the rulers were appointed by God.
- 1:29:07They are servants, and they bring punishment on the
- 1:29:09wrongdoer. So we need to be obedient,
- 1:29:13except when it contradicts what God says.
- 1:29:17All of us who lived among them at one time.
- 1:29:21This is Ephesians 2. All of us who lived among them
- 1:29:25at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and
- 1:29:28following its desires and thoughts like the rest.
- 1:29:32We were by nature deserving of wrath.
- 1:29:36So that's saying all of us, every one of us, is a Sinner.
- 1:29:40Every one of us deserves God's wrath because we sin, have
- 1:29:47sinned, you know. But when we were, it says also
- 1:29:52all of us also lived among them at one time.
- 1:29:58So there's a change that's happened when he's talking, when
- 1:30:01Paul is talking to these Ephesians.
- 1:30:03At one time we were gratifying the cravings of our flesh, of
- 1:30:08our worldly, worldly ways. And we were following through
- 1:30:12with the desires and the thoughts we had, like the
- 1:30:15selfish things we wanted, the sin we craved.
- 1:30:18We were doing that. And so like everybody else, we
- 1:30:22were also deserving of wrath. But because we we changed and we
- 1:30:27got the Holy Spirit, we're no longer deserving of wrath.
- 1:30:31And in chapter 5 of Ephesians, Paul says, let no one deceive
- 1:30:38you with empty words, for because of such things God's
- 1:30:42wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
- 1:30:46So if you call yourself a Christian, but you're being
- 1:30:49disobedient to God and you're thinking that God's grace is
- 1:30:54protecting you, No, Paul says not.
- 1:30:58No, it's not. You are going to experience
- 1:31:01God's wrath, those who are disobedient.
- 1:31:04If you continue in disobedience, when Jesus returns and you're
- 1:31:07here, you might want to think, are you going to be considered
- 1:31:12holy? Are you going to be taken to
- 1:31:16Jesus and protected from the wrath to come?
- 1:31:19Are you going to have to endure it?
- 1:31:21Because there's going to be a lot of Christians.
- 1:31:23It talks about the 10 virgins, the parable of the 10 virgins,
- 1:31:26It shows that half of them who thought they were prepared don't
- 1:31:30make it, only the ones who had the oil.
- 1:31:33The oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
- 1:31:36If you do not have the Holy Spirit and are not being
- 1:31:39obedient to God, you can expect wrath.
- 1:31:43It says God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
- 1:31:48I don't know how much clearer I can say that in Colossians
- 1:31:55chapter 3, because of these, the wrath of God is coming in one
- 1:31:59Thessalonian one verse 10, and to wait for his Son from heaven,
- 1:32:05whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who rescues us from the
- 1:32:11coming wrath, that's going to be in the resurrection.
- 1:32:14He's going to protect us from the wrath.
- 1:32:16Those who are prepared, those who are ready in first.
- 1:32:21First Thessalonians 2 in the In their effort to keep us from
- 1:32:28speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved in this way,
- 1:32:33they always heap up their sins to the limit.
- 1:32:38The wrath of God has come upon them at last.
- 1:32:41So somebody who's keeping the good news about Jesus away from
- 1:32:52the non Jews, their effort, those who are keeping that from
- 1:32:56happening, the wrath of God is going to be coming on them.
- 1:33:00One Thessalonians 5 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath,
- 1:33:06but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 1:33:12So if you have the Holy Spirit, you will not be subject to
- 1:33:16wrath. In Revelation chapter 6, they
- 1:33:18called to the mountains and the rocks fall on us and hide us
- 1:33:22from the faith of face of him who sits on the throne and from
- 1:33:28the wrath of the Lamb. That's Jesus.
- 1:33:30That's when Jesus returns. It says further, for the great
- 1:33:36day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?
- 1:33:45The nations. Revelation 11 says the nations
- 1:33:48were angry, and your wrath has come.
- 1:33:51The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your
- 1:33:55servants, the prophets, and your people who Revere your name both
- 1:33:59great and small, and for destroying those who destroy the
- 1:34:04earth. So when Jesus returns this
- 1:34:07wrath, this is the time of judgement.
- 1:34:10Revelation 14. They too will drink the wine of
- 1:34:15God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the
- 1:34:20cup of His wrath. They will be tormented with
- 1:34:25burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels of the Lamb.
- 1:34:30So the cup of wrath is the judgement time from God and
- 1:34:36Jesus referred to, we talked about this last chapter where he
- 1:34:39said you should I not drink the cup the Father has given me like
- 1:34:44the wrath that he experienced on the cross, the torment and the
- 1:34:47death on the cross, but that was God's will.
- 1:34:50He knew it was God's will, the Father's will, and he was
- 1:34:53obedient to the Father. And so he suffered the wrath in
- 1:34:57his death to benefit us. And but then the enemies of God
- 1:35:04will have a cup of wrath that comes upon them because they
- 1:35:09didn't believe and they didn't accept what Jesus did.
- 1:35:12Revelation 14 continues to say the Angel swung his sickle on
- 1:35:17the earth, gathered its grapes, and threw them into the great
- 1:35:20winepress of God's wrath. So at this harvest, the grape
- 1:35:25harvest it, there's several angels that we read this in the
- 1:35:29last chapter. There's like three of them.
- 1:35:31And I think, well, I think it's Jesus, son of man on the cloud.
- 1:35:37And then there's another Angel and then another Angel.
- 1:35:41But first there's like grapes that are gathered.
- 1:35:46Then there's another separate Angel who comes with a with a
- 1:35:50sickle and harvest the remaining ones that are there and put some
- 1:35:54into the wine press. They're the ones who go into the
- 1:35:57wine press. So some are saved and then I
- 1:36:01guess are brought into the presence of Jesus, just like the
- 1:36:05wheat and the tares where some are.
- 1:36:08The wheat is bundled together and stored in the barn like
- 1:36:12God's home, like the mansions he's prepared, the rooms he has
- 1:36:15in his Father's house are prepared.
- 1:36:18The wheat is taken. Now does this happen at two
- 1:36:21different times because of the the the parables of the
- 1:36:24different harvest? Like is there a springtime
- 1:36:27harvest and then there is is there a fall time harvest?
- 1:36:33And are they 2 separate harvest or are they just examples of
- 1:36:38different harvest illustrating the same one time event?
- 1:36:43We won't know until after it happens, but that leaves you
- 1:36:47guessing about when it's going to what season it's going to
- 1:36:50occur in. Revelation 15 says I saw in
- 1:36:54heaven another great and marvelous sign, 7 angels with
- 1:36:57the seven last plagues last, because with them God's wrath is
- 1:37:02completed. And then Revelation 15, the one
- 1:37:06of the then one of the four living creatures, gave to the
- 1:37:09seven angels 7 golden bowls filled with the wrath of God who
- 1:37:14lives forever and ever. None of this is what people who
- 1:37:18are in Christ will experience. Then I heard a loud voice from
- 1:37:22the temple saying to the seven angels, go pour out the seven
- 1:37:26bowls of God's wrath on the earth.
- 1:37:30Again, if you are in Christ, you will not receive that
- 1:37:34revelation. 16 verse 19 the city, the great city split into
- 1:37:40three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed.
- 1:37:44God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with
- 1:37:50the wine of the fury of His wrath.
- 1:37:53I had mentioned this before. I really do want to study
- 1:37:56Babylon the Great. I want to study Babylon and find
- 1:37:59out if there are any clues in scripture that give us a better
- 1:38:02insight to where this is. Because they're like, I have
- 1:38:07three different theories right now and I'm not sure which one I
- 1:38:09believe. I'm leaning towards one that I
- 1:38:12don't like, but OK, Babylon could just be in Iraq where it
- 1:38:18originally was, but there's like Mystery Babylon, so it doesn't
- 1:38:22seem like it's really the same. I think there's a spirit that
- 1:38:26has induced people, that has lured people to follow the
- 1:38:31spirit, an evil spirit. And so I think that maybe the
- 1:38:35location of Babylon has changed. Now.
- 1:38:39Early church people always said it was the city of Rome because
- 1:38:42Rome sits on seven hills. And so it's been identified as
- 1:38:47Rome. It it could be that I'm, I'm not
- 1:38:50sure. And it is surrounded by water.
- 1:38:52I mean, there are a lot of descriptions of it, but and then
- 1:38:55it says the great merchants, you know, they will see by they will
- 1:38:58be in the water and see this great city burning.
- 1:39:03So I don't know. Is it the is it Rome?
- 1:39:05Is it the Vatican? I don't know.
- 1:39:07I mean, that's what some people believe.
- 1:39:08I'm not quite sure we will see. And then the third theory is, is
- 1:39:15it the United States? You know, the United States
- 1:39:18itself is surrounded by water. There are several places that
- 1:39:21have 7 mountains or seven hills or something similar to that.
- 1:39:26What city is it? I don't know and I don't know
- 1:39:29for sure that it is, but it's something I certainly see the
- 1:39:35the the sinfulness of the United States.
- 1:39:39I mean, we were originally formed under God and but just
- 1:39:45the stuff that when you start having discernment about even
- 1:39:50our history, you start seeing some evil things in there.
- 1:39:53There's certainly God is behind a lot of it, but there's a lot
- 1:39:57of evil. And I don't really know in God's
- 1:39:59eyes, what does he see the United States?
- 1:40:01Does he see us as a sinful nation or does he see us as a
- 1:40:05God fearing God following nation?
- 1:40:08That's only for God to know. So if the other thing that I
- 1:40:13study too is that Babylon is destroyed.
- 1:40:18Before the mark of the beast comes out.
- 1:40:21So whoever, gosh, actually that makes me think it might be the
- 1:40:26United States, because people also theorize that the Vatican
- 1:40:31City is going to be the false prophet.
- 1:40:34And if Babylon is destroyed, it is actually the false prophet
- 1:40:38who gives out the order to, you know, that forces people to take
- 1:40:42the mark of the beast. So if that area is destroyed,
- 1:40:47Babylon's destroyed before this happens, then that can't be
- 1:40:52Babylon. So now it's making me think, OK,
- 1:40:55it's either going to be in Iraq, but the description doesn't seem
- 1:40:58like it's surrounded by water or the United States.
- 1:41:03And it's looking like the United States might be Mystery Babylon.
- 1:41:07So that even brings about anybody who's in the United
- 1:41:09States. It brings about a greater
- 1:41:11importance to be prepared because this is like a sudden
- 1:41:16destruction that comes upon Babylon.
- 1:41:20And so we're not going to know when that is.
- 1:41:22And, and there's a lot of countries that would love to
- 1:41:26destroy us. And God may allow that to happen
- 1:41:31because of the sinfulness of our country, the agendas that we've
- 1:41:34been pushing, the LBGTQ, things that go against God's commands
- 1:41:40on the abortion that the people so rap, I don't know, seek, I
- 1:41:47mean, that stuff that's killing people.
- 1:41:49He that's one of the things that God hates the, the whole
- 1:41:53Hollywood thing and the demonic stuff and the music and the
- 1:41:57sexual immorality and all of that.
- 1:41:59I mean, that is definitely a part of our culture.
- 1:42:02It you can't hide it. The Pagan type festivals that we
- 1:42:07have here in the United States. I didn't realize the Burning Man
- 1:42:11was actually like a Pagan type thing.
- 1:42:14It's very demonic when you look into it.
- 1:42:16I didn't even know that. I thought it was an artsy thing.
- 1:42:19A lot of times art things actually are presented as art
- 1:42:23and then seem like they're, they're nothing.
- 1:42:26You know, it's nothing big about it, you know, like it's not a
- 1:42:28big deal because it's just, it's just art.
- 1:42:32I think that's a deception, a lie from the enemy that we
- 1:42:36believe that it's just art. It isn't just art.
- 1:42:39It is it has demonic, you know, spiritual implications and
- 1:42:46participating in it probably opens us up to that spiritual
- 1:42:52realm affecting us. So I would be careful about how
- 1:42:56you spend your time. It says don't spend time with
- 1:42:58darkness. I mean, people of light should
- 1:43:00not be spending time with darkness.
- 1:43:02OK, then I'm reading the last one.
- 1:43:06Revelation 19 coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword to which
- 1:43:12with which to strike down the nation's.
- 1:43:15He will rule. Them with an iron scepter, he
- 1:43:19treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God.
- 1:43:22So this is, you know, final judgement happening.
- 1:43:25And this podcast got to be a way longer than I anticipated it to
- 1:43:30be. I thought it was going to be
- 1:43:31short, but there was a lot of different scripture.
- 1:43:33But I hope this was helpful to people and helpful in preparing.
- 1:43:37And if it's helpful to you or please share it with other
- 1:43:40people because I think it's really important, especially if
- 1:43:42you're in the United States, because what if we are Mystery
- 1:43:46Babylon? We need to be prepared because
- 1:43:50it doesn't look so great for us in the world.
- 1:43:52There are people in Iran, religious leaders who are
- 1:43:56actually calling for the assassination of Trump and they
- 1:44:00call the United States Big Satan and they call Israel Little
- 1:44:04Satan. And it does talk in prophecy.
- 1:44:07It says Elam strike, Elam strike Elam is Iran.
- 1:44:13So prophecy says that. So we just need to get in the
- 1:44:18word and not be fearful because the Bible says don't be fear.
- 1:44:22Just prepare. Prepare because you need a
- 1:44:27relationship with God. You can do that right now.
- 1:44:29You can say a prayer right now. In fact, I'm just going to say a
- 1:44:32prayer for everybody. And if you, if you want this to
- 1:44:35apply to you, then stay with me on this.
- 1:44:37And just this, this hopefully covers you as well.
- 1:44:41Dear God, thank you for bringing us together today.
- 1:44:44And please let your Holy Spirit come upon people who are truly
- 1:44:48repentant for their lives. And once really want to
- 1:44:52experience your love and to follow your ways and to be
- 1:44:56obedient to you and to serve others.
- 1:44:59Please let your spirit come on people with power.
- 1:45:03To. Serve you and to do your will
- 1:45:06and to bring others into the Kingdom.
- 1:45:08We ask for this in Jesus name. Thank you, Lord.
