After two years of repairs, the National Balloon Museum in Indianola, Iowa, is finally reopening with a big ribbon-cutting on August 2nd at 11:30 AM. The first phase features a revamped Big Sky Hall with interactive zones on local, national, and scientific ballooning. Staff have worked tirelessly since March 2024’s damage, and the museum will also host the 2026 Hall of Fame Induction during the National Balloon Classic, kicking off July 31st.
