- 3:18Speaker 3: dot com slash busting.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Look, get into the show.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of uh, there's a lot of
- 3:25Speaker 3: chaos right now on the internet.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Ton with this man right here.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Josh Pate's known to stir up the pod a little bit.
- 3:31Speaker 3: The JP poll put together by you guess the Josh Pate.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Josh pat puts these polls together himself.
- 3:37Speaker 5: He handcrafts him. He doesn't use a method.
- 3:39Speaker 3: It's like, this is his opinion and right now he's
- 3:42Speaker 3: got If you look at his JP pole week nine
- 3:44Speaker 3: edition BYU, just be Utah Utah, he's got Utah sixteen
- 3:49Speaker 3: in the top twenty BYU's not on it. He's got
- 3:55Speaker 3: Texas and Oklahoma head of Miszoo.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 3: What's the questionestion is, where does your brain go when
- 4:01Speaker 3: you're putting these lists together?
- 4:03Speaker 6: Well, my brain goes to the model first off, as
- 4:05Speaker 6: the model puts it together. Secondly, now you know better
- 4:08Speaker 6: than this the s Martin kid in the class that's
- 4:11Speaker 6: acting dumb. You know what that's based on?
- 4:13Speaker 4: What is it based on? JP? Pohl? What is it
- 4:16Speaker 4: based on?
- 4:16Speaker 6: Not rankings? It's power rating? What is power rating based
- 4:19Speaker 6: on exactly favorability. So let's go to the Utah Brigham
- 4:26Speaker 6: Young First off, ton of BYU fans came at.
- 4:28Speaker 4: Me because of you last week.
- 4:31Speaker 6: Me yes, and tried to tell me American Primeval is
- 4:34Speaker 6: not even based on real life.
- 4:36Speaker 4: They just called it fiction.
- 4:37Speaker 2: That's exactly all right.
- 4:40Speaker 6: So that's number one reason why they belong above Utah
- 4:42Speaker 6: acording to you.
- 4:42Speaker 2: A but just for the record, you did see last
- 4:45Speaker 2: week on the show American prime Evil is fact, and
- 4:48Speaker 2: that is a perfect representation of Brigham Young and that religion.
- 4:51Speaker 4: That's why I picked Utah.
- 4:52Speaker 6: Got you, Okay, keep going, more so Brigham Young than
- 4:54Speaker 6: the religion itself. I want it to be noted. Secondly,
- 4:57Speaker 6: correct me if I'm wrong. We picked this game last week.
- 5:00Speaker 6: Was Utah favored by three and a half at Brigham Young?
- 5:04Speaker 4: Yes, yes, they were.
- 5:05Speaker 6: That implies about a six to a six and a
- 5:07Speaker 6: half point gap on a neutral field, right, yes, all right,
- 5:11Speaker 6: the game was a three point game. Do we really
- 5:14Speaker 6: believe in odds maker's land and fan duel land that
- 5:17Speaker 6: shifted their perception of those teams a solid touchdown to
- 5:21Speaker 6: where BYU would now be favored over Utah if they
- 5:23Speaker 6: played this week. The answer is no, correct, No, of
- 5:27Speaker 6: course they wouldn't. So they still belong above Utah cause
- 5:30Speaker 6: or bringing me on cos they still be favored against
- 5:32Speaker 6: them if they played today.
- 5:33Speaker 4: That's the end.
- 5:34Speaker 3: And look, I know it's never our fault. Like we
- 5:38Speaker 3: picked that game. We actually did pick that game. When
- 5:41Speaker 3: you watch that game, Utah is what one for five
- 5:45Speaker 3: on fourth down? That's not eight eight plays turnover on downs,
- 5:48Speaker 3: nine play drive turnover on downs, ten play drive turnover
- 5:50Speaker 3: on downs, twelve play drive turnover on downs.
- 5:53Speaker 5: No points we get points there like that Utah.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Wins that game. Well we're gonna talk about by and
- 5:59Speaker 3: or by you and I will stay here in a second.
- 6:01Speaker 3: But we did have that game pegged. We did what
- 6:05Speaker 3: we were supposed to do. Those kids did not do
- 6:07Speaker 3: what they were supposed to do, and they screwed it up.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they made the show look bad.
- 6:11Speaker 4: We were on the right side, Yeah we were.
- 6:13Speaker 2: What are your thoughts on that rivalry being called the
- 6:17Speaker 2: Holy War? Yeah, and both schools wearing all red and
- 6:20Speaker 2: all blue.
- 6:22Speaker 6: I love the name Holy War. I'm not a strong
- 6:25Speaker 6: lean either way on color of uniforms, but I will
- 6:29Speaker 6: roll with whatever anyone wants to roll with there. I
- 6:31Speaker 6: just think it's very important to note. I'm not sure
- 6:32Speaker 6: I pointed this out last week. I think I did
- 6:34Speaker 6: at one point. Anyway, let me reiterate, because we got
- 6:36Speaker 6: to call these people out. You can't let hall monitors.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Run a sport.
- 6:39Speaker 6: And there are certain hall monitor types behind the scenes
- 6:42Speaker 6: in college football that want to do away with the
- 6:44Speaker 6: name Holy War, like they want to do away with Farmageddon,
- 6:47Speaker 6: kind of like they tried to do away with the
- 6:49Speaker 6: world's largest outdoor cocktail party. Red River Shootout has gone
- 6:52Speaker 6: the way of the hall monitor.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Civil War.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Yeah, Civil war.
- 6:56Speaker 6: May not even exist as a game period for too
- 6:58Speaker 6: much longer, So we can't lose the whole war.
- 7:00Speaker 3: You know, the power you get when you are the
- 7:02Speaker 3: hall monitor though, or the line leader.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Yeah, the only power you'll ever have in life. Like
- 7:07Speaker 6: you do have some power. The trade off is you'll
- 7:09Speaker 6: never elevate above hall monitor in life. So you got
- 7:12Speaker 6: to exercise that power. And that's how college football hall
- 7:15Speaker 6: monitors exercise power. They take away great rivalry names and
- 7:20Speaker 6: they go sell a watered down rivalry name to some
- 7:23Speaker 6: third party advertiser and slap the logo on the field
- 7:26Speaker 6: and everyone hates it.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I do.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Everybody watching the show, we appreciate you guys being here.
- 7:31Speaker 3: If you are watching and you're not subscribed, please make
- 7:33Speaker 3: sure that you are subscribed. I want everybody to know
- 7:36Speaker 3: that I am if you guys want to join me
- 7:38Speaker 3: on boycotting Josh pat show.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Oh my goodness.
- 7:41Speaker 3: I saw the Sarah McLoughlin special Glaughlin Sarah McLaughlin special
- 7:46Speaker 3: with Nebraska, and that's where I kind of had to
- 7:48Speaker 3: draw a line in the sand because you sat here preseason,
- 7:51Speaker 3: you claimed yourself to be the number one Nebraska guy
- 7:53Speaker 3: in Nashville, and so when I saw that number one,
- 7:57Speaker 3: I thought it was fraudulent. When you were doing that
- 7:58Speaker 3: in the beginning and it was getting It was just
- 8:00Speaker 3: trying to pour into this psyche that we have going on,
- 8:03Speaker 3: and I thought you were a Foxhoil guy. But that
- 8:05Speaker 3: moment when I saw you drop that clip, I no
- 8:08Speaker 3: longer feel like you're a foxhol guy with me.
- 8:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like we were in the fox hole
- 8:13Speaker 6: and we died Friday night.
- 8:15Speaker 4: No, that's what I feel like. I feel like.
- 8:17Speaker 6: PJ Fleck found the Foxhole and PJ Fleck went both
- 8:22Speaker 6: sides of the foxhole.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Now that happened, I know we're not dead.
- 8:27Speaker 6: I know I'm dead. You don't know you're dead. Like
- 8:30Speaker 6: one of several great movies that Hollywood has produced, he
- 8:33Speaker 6: doesn't know that he's dead. I know I'm dead. And
- 8:37Speaker 6: so I'll ask you. This boycott is hurting me. The
- 8:39Speaker 6: loss hurt me. The boycott's hurting me. It's affecting my
- 8:42Speaker 6: bottom line.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Okay, I need you.
- 8:45Speaker 3: You're gonna see and you're gonna feel this hit through
- 8:47Speaker 3: your shoe.
- 8:48Speaker 6: But I want to ask you, on the Sarah McLaughlin
- 8:50Speaker 6: Sash Laughlin Special?
- 8:52Speaker 4: Did I lie? All I did was read a statue.
- 8:55Speaker 5: He didn't lie.
- 8:55Speaker 3: But all the games that are out there, all the
- 8:58Speaker 3: teams that could have had the Sarah mcglaw special.
- 9:01Speaker 5: Could have been myer, could could have could not.
- 9:05Speaker 4: But no, I.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Wanted you wanted just to poor salt in the wound,
- 9:10Speaker 3: to to Husker Nation.
- 9:13Speaker 4: But I didn't lie.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I'm trying to wrap my head around. I'm stuck on
- 9:17Speaker 3: your saying we're dead.
- 9:20Speaker 5: That's the one that's got me spiced up right now.
- 9:23Speaker 2: So we started with something that got you spiced up,
- 9:25Speaker 2: and you realize there's another ingredient.
- 9:26Speaker 5: There's yeah, there's a double.
- 9:29Speaker 2: This guy a little too much. Yeah, this is Woody
- 9:33Speaker 2: talking to buzz Light. You're trying to tell me he's
- 9:35Speaker 2: a toy. You're Woody.
- 9:38Speaker 5: That's what this is right now.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You know, two toys on the bed having an argument.
- 9:42Speaker 2: And I'm I'm the little boy in the other hallway
- 9:45Speaker 2: waiting for my birthday to start.
- 9:46Speaker 5: I'm the guy where the helmet goes up.
- 9:52Speaker 4: We had a tight rope we had to walk and
- 9:54Speaker 4: we felt.
- 9:56Speaker 2: There. Yeah, I'm the pig. I'm kind of just there
- 9:59Speaker 2: for to hang out every once in a while and say
- 10:01Speaker 2: I have one liners. So go ahead, guys.
- 10:04Speaker 5: We got hit and we got we got hit in
- 10:11Speaker 5: them out.
- 10:11Speaker 6: But you get right against Northwestern? Right, Yes, definitely you.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Got to be pissed off in that facility. Everything that
- 10:18Speaker 3: I've seen, We're right where we need to be going
- 10:21Speaker 3: into this game. It is a moment. This is the
- 10:23Speaker 3: most important week of our year.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Are we really right where we need to be?
- 10:29Speaker 3: I think I think the way I see the culture
- 10:32Speaker 3: and the way I see the team responding at the moment.
- 10:35Speaker 3: You just hope the product reflects what you feel when
- 10:39Speaker 3: you watch, when.
- 10:40Speaker 5: You watch everything kind of unfold throughout the week.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Okay, rules on the stand, when Butler's on the stand,
- 10:44Speaker 3: when Roola Luke, all the players talking, I feel like
- 10:50Speaker 3: I know what that feels like.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Here's my concern.
- 10:53Speaker 6: I've got ten fingers and I only need six of
- 10:55Speaker 6: them to count how many points we scored at Minnesota.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a problem. I really don't feel like we're
- 11:00Speaker 4: where we.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Need to be.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I know, I know he is.
- 11:05Speaker 3: He's dealing stewarts standing over me right now, Like just
- 11:09Speaker 3: he made a good play, he made a great play.
- 11:11Speaker 5: But why you got to sit there and empty the clip.
- 11:13Speaker 4: On my chest. I hope you're right.
- 11:16Speaker 5: I hope I am too, because I'm taking them in
- 11:18Speaker 5: our parlay this week.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I was gonna say, I have the parlay here. I
- 11:22Speaker 2: know there's a odd time to start the parlay for
- 11:24Speaker 2: the show. But since we're already talking about one of
- 11:25Speaker 2: the teams in the parlay, should we just quickly say
- 11:27Speaker 2: our parlays before we get to these games?
- 11:29Speaker 5: Quickly say the bust with the boys parlay? The boys?
- 11:33Speaker 5: Are you guys coming?
- 11:33Speaker 2: You guys? Okay with that?
- 11:34Speaker 4: I know it's a little bit.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I'm going to San Diego State. They're playing Fresno State
- 11:41Speaker 2: minus two and a half this is the battle of
- 11:43Speaker 2: the old oil.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Camp at Fresno.
- 11:45Speaker 2: At Fresno, this is what.
- 11:47Speaker 5: You're seeing with these two.
- 11:49Speaker 2: His store is rivalry started in nineteen thirty one. I
- 11:55Speaker 2: got I saw I was looking for parlays. I saw
- 11:58Speaker 2: that this is actually a rivalry game, and it's like
- 12:01Speaker 2: the old oil can the trophy game, and I thought,
- 12:04Speaker 2: I need to be a part of this. That's my answer.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Any players a SDSU Aztecs Darrenmujie went there, high school
- 12:13Speaker 2: teammates onward.
- 12:14Speaker 6: You ever think to yourself, let's take myself back to
- 12:17Speaker 6: nineteen thirty one.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Yeah, America is.
- 12:19Speaker 6: It's in the throes of the Great Depression, and somewhere
- 12:22Speaker 6: out in California, someone in San Diego and someone in
- 12:26Speaker 6: Fresno said, we've got some colleges. This country needs a
- 12:30Speaker 6: rivalry right now. Hell ya name it after an oil
- 12:32Speaker 6: drum and we're still going to be in poverty for
- 12:35Speaker 6: another decade as a country, but this begins the resurgence.
- 12:38Speaker 4: In other words, we're right where we need to be.
- 12:42Speaker 2: When everything else fails, lean on the rivalry games. That's
- 12:46Speaker 2: what makes America great.
- 12:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm taking the brask in my seven and a half.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Now, I wish. I was hoping for a notepad and
- 12:54Speaker 2: a pen, and I was going to take club's glasses
- 12:56Speaker 2: and sit here and talk to you guys about what
- 12:57Speaker 2: just transpired. Yesterday. You were talking about how Northwestern and
- 13:03Speaker 2: Northwestern is a good ball club. Sure the casual fan
- 13:06Speaker 2: is going to look at the logo and be like
- 13:08Speaker 2: bad team. But I could I hear you talking about Northwestern,
- 13:12Speaker 2: talking to all the guys about Northwestern. And then I
- 13:14Speaker 2: get a text from Clumb at eleven o'clock at night
- 13:16Speaker 2: be like, hey, we still need your Parla pick. This
- 13:18Speaker 2: is who, this is who Pate Scott, this is who
- 13:20Speaker 2: Will's got. And you took Nebraska. How did you get
- 13:22Speaker 2: to I'm nervous about Nebraska too. They're covering seven and
- 13:27Speaker 2: a half. I'm not nervous about Nebraska.
- 13:33Speaker 3: My thought, all of my thoughts that come to my
- 13:35Speaker 3: head when I saw what happened on Friday night, is
- 13:38Speaker 3: we got our ass whooped against Minnesota. They beat our ass.
- 13:41Speaker 3: They ranted down our throat in the second half. And
- 13:45Speaker 3: you saw that you sit there and you were watching
- 13:47Speaker 3: the game, and the nerves are more of we're five
- 13:50Speaker 3: and two. We were also at this spot last year
- 13:53Speaker 3: We've been at this spot, you know, a couple of
- 13:55Speaker 3: different years, but people are out there questioning if Nebrasca
- 14:00Speaker 3: has actually taken a step in the rule year three era.
- 14:04Speaker 3: And so what I've seen from this team is we won.
- 14:09Speaker 3: We were three and one going into Minnesota with one
- 14:12Speaker 3: score games, which is again if you look at if
- 14:14Speaker 3: the absolute sickos of Nebraska know how important this new
- 14:18Speaker 3: standard and culture, how it's all coming together, how important
- 14:21Speaker 3: those wins are. Whether or not you sit there and argue,
- 14:24Speaker 3: and you can argue that it's Michigan State and it's Maryland.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Maryland's a tough team. It kind of struggle in October.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Michigan State kind of seems like they're dying now. They
- 14:32Speaker 3: were spicy for a second. So for me, I sit
- 14:36Speaker 3: there and watch it, and I see the way we
- 14:38Speaker 3: got beat on Friday night, and what my mentality goes
- 14:42Speaker 3: to is and you hear it from everybody talk and
- 14:45Speaker 3: I want to say, Luke the tight end. We thought
- 14:48Speaker 3: we were gonna you know, we're gonna go in there
- 14:49Speaker 3: like we're performing. It was like for a show or entertainment,
- 14:52Speaker 3: like we're gonna beat this team. We weren't prepared for
- 14:54Speaker 3: a sixty minute fight. So that goes into line with
- 14:58Speaker 3: my thought process of maybe the boys feeling themselves a
- 15:01Speaker 3: little bit going into this game, because again they were
- 15:04Speaker 3: three three and one three one score games that they've won,
- 15:07Speaker 3: they've won well, they've played better in the second half.
- 15:09Speaker 3: When they have those lapses in the middle of the game,
- 15:10Speaker 3: they figured it out, which again in the past, Nebraska's
- 15:14Speaker 3: found a way to kind of soil it kind of
- 15:15Speaker 3: just pissed down their leg. And so my thought process
- 15:18Speaker 3: going into this game, it's not nerves that we can't
- 15:21Speaker 3: that we can't handle this team. It's you can't walk
- 15:24Speaker 3: in against Northwestern with the same mentality and the same
- 15:26Speaker 3: attitude that you had against Minnesota, because Luke and everybody
- 15:30Speaker 3: else is right, like, you have to prepare. Vraybel would
- 15:33Speaker 3: tell us all the time whenever we'd win a game
- 15:35Speaker 3: that nationally national media wise, we shouldn't have won, and
- 15:39Speaker 3: we win, we come in and play down to an
- 15:40Speaker 3: opponent who's inferior to us, and then we end up
- 15:44Speaker 3: getting beat and Fray would sit up there and say, guys,
- 15:46Speaker 3: we can't I've told you all year long, we can't
- 15:49Speaker 3: just show up and beat a team because we think
- 15:52Speaker 3: we have a better roster than them, and I think
- 15:54Speaker 3: it's the same exact thing with Nebraska. I think the
- 15:56Speaker 3: guys have had their head down and it's just get
- 15:59Speaker 3: back to fucking work, because we're not just gonna walk
- 16:01Speaker 3: out there and win because we have better weapons on
- 16:04Speaker 3: the outside. We've we had the number one pass defense
- 16:07Speaker 3: in the country at one point, Like, you can't believe
- 16:09Speaker 3: that hype because you're gonna have to put it on
- 16:11Speaker 3: film each and every week. And people are out there
- 16:14Speaker 3: now questioning whether we've taken a step, and each kid
- 16:16Speaker 3: in that locker room, or each guy in that locker room,
- 16:19Speaker 3: and everybody on that staff, because you could feel it
- 16:21Speaker 3: in all the pressers, they know to a man that
- 16:23Speaker 3: we've all been challenged. And so to me, when you
- 16:26Speaker 3: go out there against Northwestern on Saturday morning, what's this.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Is what I needed? Keep going rolling, keep going, keep going.
- 16:33Speaker 2: I looked over at Paid to check his temperature. We
- 16:35Speaker 2: end up catching guys at the same time. I think
- 16:37Speaker 2: we both know the exact same thing.
- 16:38Speaker 3: But it's legitimately when you walk out there on Saturday morning,
- 16:42Speaker 3: this team, everybody else you know, it's been the poison
- 16:45Speaker 3: has been around our shop. I talk about this game
- 16:47Speaker 3: with this urgency and Cooper Comstock sitting there, it's like, Oh,
- 16:51Speaker 3: it's Northwestern, you guys are gonna handle this team. And
- 16:52Speaker 3: it's like, No, that's the fucking mentality that's got to
- 16:55Speaker 3: be out, that's got to be gone, because this team
- 16:58Speaker 3: is They're five and two, they're two losses Oregon. They
- 17:01Speaker 3: lost by twenty at Oregon. It was close in the
- 17:03Speaker 3: first half, and then they lost to Tulane, who that
- 17:05Speaker 3: head coach has been in every conversation for a job,
- 17:09Speaker 3: for a promotional job, and they lost to two lane
- 17:11Speaker 3: in week one. Every other game Northwestern's handled. You could
- 17:14Speaker 3: talk about, Oh, Penn State's down. They know they died
- 17:17Speaker 3: against Oregon, they drop one against UCLA. You know everybody
- 17:21Speaker 3: on that roster is still like, everybody still wants to play.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Well.
- 17:24Speaker 3: They still beat a good roster in Penn State. Dude,
- 17:26Speaker 3: they bet last week nineteen nothing Purdue like this team
- 17:29Speaker 3: can do the exact same thing if you.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Don't respect this game and you don't respect the team.
- 17:34Speaker 3: So what my belief is on this Nebraska covering in
- 17:37Speaker 3: Nebraska Mine seven and a half is we're going into
- 17:40Speaker 3: this game not only respecting the team but respecting the
- 17:42Speaker 3: game and respecting the work that you have to put
- 17:45Speaker 3: in to beat somebody's ass on Saturday. That's what I'm
- 17:48Speaker 3: believing in. So I'm riding with Nebraska because this is
- 17:51Speaker 3: a Foxhoil game. Let everybody else with all the question
- 17:54Speaker 3: marks everything that's the world. That's what's gonna happen. There's
- 17:57Speaker 3: a lot of noise right now around Nebraska, and it's
- 17:59Speaker 3: how you spawn this weekend. And I'm gonna love the
- 18:02Speaker 3: way we respond because I'm gonna I'm there. I'm with them.
- 18:08Speaker 3: I'm on the fucking team.
- 18:11Speaker 2: That's why I like him, Josh pay this is why
- 18:12Speaker 2: we should. I'm happy we started with the weekly parlat
- 18:14Speaker 2: because I don't know if that kind of energy is
- 18:16Speaker 2: there at the end of all five of those games.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Here's what we know though Nebraska is in what conference?
- 18:21Speaker 5: The Big Ten?
- 18:22Speaker 4: Nebraska has how many losses right now? Two?
- 18:25Speaker 6: If Nebraska wins the remainder of its games, their record
- 18:28Speaker 6: will be ten and two. Will a ten and two
- 18:31Speaker 6: Big Ten ever be left out of the playoff? No, Therefore,
- 18:36Speaker 6: maybe we're not so dead.
- 18:39Speaker 5: So I might need something for you next week. We
- 18:41Speaker 5: handle business.
- 18:42Speaker 6: I just maybe I come back out yeah, I'm just
- 18:47Speaker 6: missing a limb.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Here's a flush one.
- 18:49Speaker 4: Still room in there for me.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's how fox holes work. I guess when you come,
- 18:53Speaker 4: you go, you come, you go. That's how fox holes work.
- 18:55Speaker 5: There's always gonna be room for you.
- 19:02Speaker 2: He's the most insane five minutes of the show I've
- 19:06Speaker 2: ever seen.
- 19:08Speaker 6: He's as dead. Well, I'm gone, but we're gonna win
- 19:12Speaker 6: this week. We could still make the playoff.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Can I come back in? I got you, bro, I
- 19:17Speaker 4: got you, all right?
- 19:20Speaker 2: And you're taking Arkansas.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Give me the picks. Hugh Freeze is done. Give me
- 19:24Speaker 4: give me Arkansas.
- 19:25Speaker 2: You're done with your Hugh Freeze is done.
- 19:27Speaker 4: He will lose his job if they lose this game.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Man with you to win.
- 19:32Speaker 4: You're saying, yeah, I'm taking Arkansas. Yeah, I'm taking Arkansas.
- 19:36Speaker 6: It crossed zerocause arsas minus one and a half. It
- 19:39Speaker 6: opened at Arkansas plus one and a half. Yeah, I
- 19:42Speaker 6: think Arkansas is gonna win. They've played two competitive games,
- 19:45Speaker 6: like they pushed Tennessee. They pushed A and M last week.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Auburn is they have not quit. Like Auburn's playing hard.
- 19:51Speaker 6: They're just not a great team and they're gonna go
- 19:53Speaker 6: up there Auburn. People call Fayetteville Fayetnam because of how
- 19:56Speaker 6: tough it's been for them to play up there over
- 19:58Speaker 6: the years. And I think it lives up to it
- 20:00Speaker 6: name this week. And then I think before the planes
- 20:03Speaker 6: even back in Lee County, I think you got a
- 20:05Speaker 6: lot of smoke around, Hugh Free, There's already a lot
- 20:08Speaker 6: of smoke. So I think if they lose this game,
- 20:10Speaker 6: then there's probably gonna be action down there, So keep
- 20:12Speaker 6: an eye on that.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Okay, is this the first week we've been together or
- 20:17Speaker 2: the first ti everybody ever since Billy Napier was that
- 20:20Speaker 2: last week.
- 20:21Speaker 4: That this is the first time.
- 20:22Speaker 5: This is the first time we've been together since, But
- 20:24Speaker 5: we assumed it last week.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And that's your boy. Yeah, do we think in for
- 20:28Speaker 2: sure this is Lane Kiffin. He's going to Florida.
- 20:31Speaker 6: I think for sure it's his job to turn down Really, yeah,
- 20:36Speaker 6: I said, and I will maintain this. I don't know
- 20:39Speaker 6: if he has fully made his mind up yet.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Now.
- 20:41Speaker 6: There's a difference, as we have said on the show before,
- 20:44Speaker 6: there's a difference in someone theoretically puts a scenario in
- 20:48Speaker 6: front of you and you have a thought versus someone
- 20:50Speaker 6: puts an offer on paper in front of you, and
- 20:52Speaker 6: you have to actually sign on the dotted line. So
- 20:55Speaker 6: even if he thinks, ye, I'm probably gonna take the job,
- 20:57Speaker 6: you don't know until they put the offer in front
- 20:59Speaker 6: of you, and then you've got old missus counteroffer, and
- 21:01Speaker 6: then you've weighed in your mind how much does legacy
- 21:03Speaker 6: matter to me? Because if he stays in Oxford, he'll
- 21:06Speaker 6: win for a long time and they'll name streets after
- 21:08Speaker 6: him and he'll be set for life. Right or there's
- 21:11Speaker 6: the fork in the road. That's one path. The other
- 21:13Speaker 6: path is legacy. I can just go make a new
- 21:16Speaker 6: one at Florida, and maybe he does, maybe he doesn't.
- 21:18Speaker 6: But I really I think I can win a national
- 21:20Speaker 6: title there. I don't know if I can win one
- 21:21Speaker 6: at Old Miss Now. The Old miss people will say
- 21:24Speaker 6: landscapes changed, man, This is not fifteen years ago. There's
- 21:27Speaker 6: not a whole lot of separation between these programs. It's
- 21:29Speaker 6: just who has the best NIL structure. And by the way,
- 21:31Speaker 6: low key, we've got a better win than Florida, and
- 21:34Speaker 6: Florida says yeah, but we could back up a brink struck.
- 21:36Speaker 6: You never could. We just want to harness it to
- 21:38Speaker 6: the right guy. That's a bunch of smoke. You got
- 21:41Speaker 6: to clear it, you to see where your heart's at.
- 21:43Speaker 6: But he's gonna have to tell them no before they
- 21:45Speaker 6: move on to number two. Who I think would be
- 21:46Speaker 6: Eli Drinkwitz, who would take the job, I believe.
- 21:49Speaker 4: So it's a very short list.
- 21:50Speaker 6: I don't think they're going to get past one or
- 21:53Speaker 6: two names.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Okay. I agree with you on the structure too.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I was talking to somebody about even A and M
- 21:58Speaker 3: like Elko and his his name coming up and stuff.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Obviously we've had the rule conversations as well. I very
- 22:05Speaker 3: much believe that it's like if you're a Link Kiffin
- 22:07Speaker 3: and you're out Ole Miss and all those things are
- 22:09Speaker 3: laid out and you have all the NIL structure support
- 22:12Speaker 3: in the world, it's not it's not like you're making
- 22:15Speaker 3: move now for logos because of recruiting and everything else.
- 22:17Speaker 3: It's all tied more to money. And if you have
- 22:20Speaker 3: your system in place, you feel good about where you're
- 22:22Speaker 3: at and everybody behind you is giving you whatever you
- 22:25Speaker 3: need NIL structure wise, why would you leave? Why would
- 22:28Speaker 3: you leave a program that honestly could compete. You're in
- 22:31Speaker 3: and you're out for a national title like an old miss.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Just to not joke with the Nebraska stuff, but like
- 22:37Speaker 3: an old miss, like a Texas A and M. Why
- 22:39Speaker 3: would you move from Is there a reason that Elco
- 22:42Speaker 3: would want to move from an A and M when
- 22:44Speaker 3: you basically have all this support in the world and
- 22:46Speaker 3: it's you're in the SEC right now, you are showing
- 22:48Speaker 3: that you're the number one team in the SEC.
- 22:51Speaker 6: There is no football related reason why Mike Elko would
- 22:54Speaker 6: leave Texas A and M for Penn State. It would
- 22:57Speaker 6: have to be personal preference. And I know a lot
- 23:00Speaker 6: of people have tried to sell on there being an
- 23:02Speaker 6: easier path to the playoff in the Big Ten. First off,
- 23:05Speaker 6: you don't know that that's always going to be static.
- 23:08Speaker 6: And secondly, is that really how a competitor's thinking to
- 23:11Speaker 6: begin with the very nature of the guy who's qualified
- 23:14Speaker 6: to be your head coach is that of a one
- 23:17Speaker 6: percent or a zero point one percent alpha competitor. Those
- 23:20Speaker 6: people don't sit around thinking where's the easiest path possible?
- 23:23Speaker 6: That's not even how those people are wired. So I
- 23:26Speaker 6: don't think that weighs into it. Now, if he's from
- 23:29Speaker 6: the Northeast and he just wants to get back there.
- 23:31Speaker 6: If your wife's family, I'm just making this up. If
- 23:34Speaker 6: your wife's family lives there, if you prefer cold weather
- 23:36Speaker 6: like that kind of stuff's not football related. It just
- 23:38Speaker 6: happens to work in your favor. The football related stuff
- 23:42Speaker 6: Like A and m's a better job than Penn State. Yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 6: not miles better, but it's a better job in Penn.
- 23:46Speaker 3: State, especially because it's A and m's kind of established
- 23:50Speaker 3: right now to where you'd have to go and fix something.
- 23:53Speaker 6: Yeah, and think about this, They've got all the resources
- 23:55Speaker 6: in the world, but no one's ever really harnessed it properly.
- 24:00Speaker 6: People have harnessed Alabama. People of harness Florida. Who's really
- 24:04Speaker 6: taken Texas A and M. Because it really hasn't been
- 24:06Speaker 6: this calibery job until the last fifteen or so years,
- 24:09Speaker 6: Like Johnny Manziel changed that place. So A and M
- 24:12Speaker 6: post Manziel versus pre Menzel's two different things.
- 24:14Speaker 4: So anyone who.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Throws out the past sixty years, I don't care about
- 24:18Speaker 6: the past sixty years. There they've been what they are
- 24:20Speaker 6: now about the past ten or fifteen years, and they've
- 24:23Speaker 6: made poor hires in the past ten or fifteen years.
- 24:25Speaker 6: So you've still got an opportunity all the way in
- 24:28Speaker 6: twenty twenty five. The sport's been around a long time.
- 24:30Speaker 6: We've gotten all the way to twenty twenty five. And
- 24:33Speaker 6: no one's legendary name is synonymous with Texas A and
- 24:37Speaker 6: M football, the way that Darryl Royle is in Austin,
- 24:40Speaker 6: the way Bow or Woody or whoever bear Bryant, Nick Saban.
- 24:44Speaker 4: You could become that at Texas A and M.
- 24:46Speaker 6: And you're not working from behind the eight ball. You've
- 24:48Speaker 6: got all the resources and it's just a wide open
- 24:51Speaker 6: frontier and you can go stake your claim.
- 24:56Speaker 5: Great point, Josh Baufuitey said, Josh, should.
- 24:58Speaker 4: We get to some games.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Let's get to some We got our first matchup, number
- 25:02Speaker 3: eleven team in the country BYU one of six undefeated
- 25:06Speaker 3: teams left traveling to Iowa State. Iowa State is on
- 25:10Speaker 3: a two game road losing streak right now. They've dropped
- 25:14Speaker 3: their last two games. Right now, Iowa State is favored
- 25:18Speaker 3: at home by two and a half. The over under
- 25:20Speaker 3: on this game is forty eight and a half. Gentlemen,
- 25:23Speaker 3: who'd like to kick this off.
- 25:25Speaker 6: Well, it's a letdown spot. Obviously, you just had a
- 25:29Speaker 6: rivalry game. If you're bring him young, you've got to
- 25:31Speaker 6: go on the road against the team off of bye.
- 25:35Speaker 6: On the down side, for Iowa State, they've got several injuries,
- 25:39Speaker 6: some guys out for the season. It's the Big twelve.
- 25:43Speaker 6: It is anybody's game any given week. I think that
- 25:47Speaker 6: after those two losses you talk about you guys talk
- 25:50Speaker 6: about losing a game going into the bye week all
- 25:53Speaker 6: the time. What about losing two games going into the
- 25:55Speaker 6: by and those were your first two losses of the season,
- 25:57Speaker 6: and you know, now your back's against the wall.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Left a wounded animal, love love a wounded animal.
- 26:03Speaker 6: This is a This is an animal that's been wounded
- 26:05Speaker 6: for really three weeks. If you think about it, it
- 26:08Speaker 6: has to get right. And you just had a big
- 26:10Speaker 6: rivalry win, and now you're gonna come all the way
- 26:12Speaker 6: across the country to face us, and we're rested and
- 26:15Speaker 6: we've got to have it. And you guys know you
- 26:17Speaker 6: can afford to lose. Iowa State needs it. Bringing me
- 26:19Speaker 6: Young just wants it. And so I'm gonna take Iowa
- 26:22Speaker 6: State to win the game and cover.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I like it.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Something about Iowa State, something the way you talk about
- 26:27Speaker 2: that head coach juices me up. But I remember Week
- 26:30Speaker 2: zero across the pond in Ireland, them going against Kansas
- 26:33Speaker 2: State and Will Compton's favorite to win the Big Twelve.
- 26:35Speaker 2: At that point, we didn't know what Kansas State was.
- 26:38Speaker 2: But I fell in love with the quarter back named
- 26:39Speaker 2: Rockobeck and I believe in him today. And I will
- 26:42Speaker 2: also be going to Iowa State plus to get their
- 26:44Speaker 2: running back Carson Hansen back, and he's got four point
- 26:47Speaker 2: four yards procured.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I was up in the air about this game,
- 26:51Speaker 3: just because you watch Iowa State against Cincinnati a couple
- 26:54Speaker 3: of weeks ago. You know Cincinnati was able to run
- 26:56Speaker 3: the ball very well. BYU is a team that wants
- 26:58Speaker 3: to run the football, set up their play action pass
- 27:01Speaker 3: hits you with deep bombs. But again when I rattle
- 27:03Speaker 3: off their game against Utah and Utah failing to get
- 27:06Speaker 3: points out of all these turnovers on downs, like I
- 27:08Speaker 3: know BYU seven and zero fan duel had them preseason,
- 27:12Speaker 3: They're over under on the season with six and a
- 27:14Speaker 3: half wins. They've hit that. They've had a hell of
- 27:16Speaker 3: a year. They're going into the meat of their schedule now,
- 27:21Speaker 3: and you know, you sit there, You could sit there
- 27:22Speaker 3: and play a game to where they end up seven
- 27:24Speaker 3: and five because they're playing they got Texas Tech, YEP, TCU,
- 27:28Speaker 3: Iowa State, Cincinnati. I forget who the fifth one is.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I like Iowa State here because you boys know, I
- 27:34Speaker 3: love Wounded Animals. This a Roco BEC game. This a
- 27:38Speaker 3: Roco BEC game. This is also a challenge for that
- 27:40Speaker 3: second level on Iowa State because you can't allow this
- 27:43Speaker 3: team to have success on the ground to put yourself
- 27:45Speaker 3: in that vulnerable state for those play action shots and
- 27:48Speaker 3: the things that BYU wants to do to win this game.
- 27:50Speaker 5: But then going on the road.
- 27:51Speaker 3: To Iowa State, Iowa State hasn't They've only lost one
- 27:54Speaker 3: home game since the start of last year. I love
- 27:57Speaker 3: Iowa State in this spot minus two and a half.
- 28:01Speaker 3: They got to come out with urgency. You gotta have
- 28:03Speaker 3: such an urgency in this game to where it's like
- 28:05Speaker 3: you you guys know when you're your back here, you're
- 28:08Speaker 3: in college and you're you're at the bar and then
- 28:11Speaker 3: lights come on at the end when when it's closing down,
- 28:14Speaker 3: those lights come on. That urgency to close to make
- 28:17Speaker 3: your moves, it's there. That's the urgency Iowa State has
- 28:21Speaker 3: to have this weekend the closer week, you're spot on.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Yeah, the lights come on, come on.
- 28:27Speaker 3: You're like, if O girls not buy you around you
- 28:29Speaker 3: kind of had some flirtations going on. It's like, oh shit,
- 28:31Speaker 3: the lights are on. It's it's like two in the morning.
- 28:33Speaker 3: You got to get rolling.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Because you know, three four hours ago you felt real
- 28:37Speaker 2: good about the situation being. You're like, let me just
- 28:38Speaker 2: see what else maybe out here, and then the lights
- 28:41Speaker 2: come on. You're like, where is she?
- 28:43Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:43Speaker 2: Where are they?
- 28:44Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 28:44Speaker 3: At this point, that's the urgency. Alloway State's gonna have
- 28:46Speaker 3: Iowa State minus too and a half.
- 28:48Speaker 2: That's fantastic. Can I ask there's more question for you,
- 28:51Speaker 2: since you're a big twelve guy. If b YU loses
- 28:55Speaker 2: the game against Utel, you TAH capitalizes on those points
- 28:58Speaker 2: and not having turnovers, does this game look differently to you?
- 29:01Speaker 4: Yeah, well the dynamics would.
- 29:04Speaker 2: You're saying if b YU lost against Utah, Oh, you
- 29:08Speaker 2: have two wounded animals we're looking at. Yeah, which wounded
- 29:11Speaker 2: animal is more of a piste off?
- 29:13Speaker 4: That's American Prime evil.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I wasn't gonna say it. Yeah, this is big twelve.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Prime is absolutely big.
- 29:21Speaker 4: And that is a real thing.
- 29:23Speaker 6: Unlike American Prime Evil, which according to Twitter is not
- 29:25Speaker 6: a real thing.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Yes, and not only.
- 29:27Speaker 3: There the three weeks of sitting on a loss, which
- 29:29Speaker 3: is on it, which is obviously brutal, but also I
- 29:32Speaker 3: would stay, like if you're going to stay and you're
- 29:35Speaker 3: going to have a shot with the big twelve, like
- 29:37Speaker 3: this is an absolute must wing.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to have it, have to have it. Finally,
- 29:43Speaker 2: make a little Bultra, this whole little bragging, Yeah, Superior
- 29:49Speaker 2: is worth playing for Superior Michaelo Bultr Superior like beer.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Let me tell you guys a story real quick. This
- 29:54Speaker 2: card is basically like you and we'll have a little
- 29:56Speaker 2: bit of a competition. Great, we're gonna read the card.
- 29:58Speaker 2: It's fun. Now all of a sudden it's become a
- 30:00Speaker 2: legitimate competition where we fight for Michelobultra. What's the record,
- 30:04Speaker 2: You're five and three against me, that's the record. And
- 30:08Speaker 2: now will and I will take rock Papersits's a whole
- 30:10Speaker 2: new level. Winner of this gets at Michelo Ultra.
- 30:20Speaker 5: Superiors.
- 30:21Speaker 2: We're playing for middle Vulture Superior, Light Beer. I'm now
- 30:24Speaker 2: four and five. The next game, number twenty two Texas
- 30:27Speaker 2: at Mississippi State, Texas is favored by what six and
- 30:32Speaker 2: a half points? Told, that is forty four and a half.
- 30:36Speaker 2: I'm not super familiar with Mississippi State, and I know
- 30:38Speaker 2: they took Tennessee down to the wire. I know they
- 30:40Speaker 2: got kind of roasted and destroyed by Texas A and M.
- 30:44Speaker 2: And then you look at Texas and it's like, for
- 30:47Speaker 2: whatever reason, they're still in it. But all year we've
- 30:50Speaker 2: been talking trash about arch Manning or people have been
- 30:52Speaker 2: talking people have people have not us rever rivally happens,
- 30:57Speaker 2: they had they drop one there River Red River shoot
- 31:00Speaker 2: shootout happens.
- 31:02Speaker 3: And outside of Sam Houston, they kind of Texas struggles
- 31:05Speaker 3: to put twenty points on the board.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Right And that's where I lean on Mississippi State. In
- 31:09Speaker 2: my baby Popper stat Mississippi State is undefeated against the
- 31:14Speaker 2: spread when they're dogs by ten or less. That is
- 31:17Speaker 2: what we're sitting in right now. And for that reason,
- 31:19Speaker 2: I'll be taking Mississippi State undefeated, undefeated against the spread
- 31:24Speaker 2: when they are dogs of ten or less points.
- 31:28Speaker 5: How may I ask how far that goes back?
- 31:31Speaker 2: Undefeated?
- 31:33Speaker 4: That sounds like in all of history.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Undefeated have not lost ten or fewer. Feeing yourself, will
- 31:43Speaker 2: a and m they move them on.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I'm thinking, I'm thinking of myself, is this a twenty
- 31:46Speaker 3: twenty five stat?
- 31:47Speaker 5: Or is this does this date back?
- 31:49Speaker 4: Undefeated?
- 31:50Speaker 2: Undefeated? Will undefeated? You say yourself, Texas gonna have a
- 31:55Speaker 2: hard time putting up more than twenty points a game.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Their defense is good. The defense they find, they kind
- 32:00Speaker 2: of find a way. They do a good job of
- 32:02Speaker 2: getting explosives. They can be sneaky in the run game like.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Undefeated, but Texas's defense is elite. I don't think Mississippi
- 32:11Speaker 3: State will be able to move the ball. They're one
- 32:13Speaker 3: of the they're towards the bottom in rush defense. And
- 32:16Speaker 3: I know we've had our question marks. You've challenged this
- 32:19Speaker 3: running game at Texas. I think Texas will be able
- 32:21Speaker 3: to run the football against this team.
- 32:24Speaker 4: It is six and a half points.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Got a boy right here, he's off today.
- 32:29Speaker 3: But this this is a Texas offense game right here.
- 32:34Speaker 5: This is where it comes alive.
- 32:35Speaker 3: This is where you start to all right, maybe Texas
- 32:39Speaker 3: is going to compete for this SEC championship.
- 32:42Speaker 2: This is Texas money six and a half. Were you
- 32:45Speaker 2: thinking that last week? Even though we didn't talk about
- 32:46Speaker 2: the game versus Kentucky yeah, figure this is a Texas
- 32:51Speaker 2: offense that comes alive this week.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Yeah, if we talked about that game last week, you
- 32:55Speaker 3: would have probably heard the same shit out.
- 32:57Speaker 5: Of my mouth.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Because the thing I get into is like, if we're
- 33:00Speaker 2: we're gonnaok at some of these games and we're gonna
- 33:02Speaker 2: there's one specific game I'm kind of looking at we'll
- 33:04Speaker 2: talk about in the next one or two. Is a
- 33:07Speaker 2: lot of people are like, this is when the offense
- 33:09Speaker 2: gets going. This is when and it's like, we're I know,
- 33:12Speaker 2: we're more than halfway through. People have been battle tested.
- 33:15Speaker 2: This is not Week one where they played a really
- 33:18Speaker 2: good defense. But the player it's like, we kind of
- 33:20Speaker 2: know what teams are at this point. And for me
- 33:22Speaker 2: to look at Texas and be like, this is when
- 33:23Speaker 2: they put up thirty five points, they're gonna cover. Like,
- 33:26Speaker 2: I think Texas knows they're gonna have to play great defense.
- 33:29Speaker 2: They're gonna to figure out a way to run the
- 33:30Speaker 2: ball even though they haven't been very good in that
- 33:31Speaker 2: situation and win games close. Yeah, that's the way they're
- 33:35Speaker 2: gonna win game.
- 33:36Speaker 3: It's I I really like a pissed off sark, Like
- 33:41Speaker 3: he's got a meter to where he can kind of
- 33:42Speaker 3: be pissed off all the time. I think his the
- 33:45Speaker 3: tempo on this game, his meter, his pissed off meter
- 33:48Speaker 3: is as high as it can be. Because now he's
- 33:50Speaker 3: getting questioned about being a play caller. Uh while he's
- 33:54Speaker 3: the head coach, like, hey, don't you have an OC
- 33:56Speaker 3: they're kind of questioning him calling plays on offense, and
- 33:59Speaker 3: you can just feel that this isn't very much. This
- 34:01Speaker 3: is a pissed off Steve Sarksian. So that mixed with
- 34:06Speaker 3: the things that I was saying, like, I just like
- 34:08Speaker 3: a I like a pissed off sark here. I love
- 34:10Speaker 3: a pisto off c especially agains Mississippi State. Again, they've
- 34:13Speaker 3: had they've had an awesome year. They're they're great and
- 34:15Speaker 3: explosive plays, but again, this is an elite Texas defense,
- 34:19Speaker 3: and uh.
- 34:20Speaker 5: Where Texas is.
- 34:21Speaker 3: They've kind of struggled everywhere offensively, Like we talked about
- 34:23Speaker 3: the the guys that it seemed like they might have
- 34:26Speaker 3: had on paper and what they really are right now.
- 34:28Speaker 3: They don't have a lot of weapons in the old
- 34:30Speaker 3: line has struggled running backs. You were right on off
- 34:33Speaker 3: the stats when they were going into Oklahoma, Like, Yo,
- 34:35Speaker 3: you're Texas like running backs had however many carries like
- 34:39Speaker 3: you know, averaging very low number of yards. I just
- 34:41Speaker 3: think against this Mississippi State rush defense, this is where
- 34:45Speaker 3: this team can find success with their pissed off head
- 34:47Speaker 3: coach calling plays and it comes alive a little bit
- 34:51Speaker 3: to where next week it could be a conversation.
- 34:52Speaker 2: With their PC.
- 34:54Speaker 4: Here's what concerns me.
- 34:56Speaker 6: I do agree with how pisson Sark must be to
- 35:00Speaker 6: have his play calling, his identity, really his humanity questioned,
- 35:05Speaker 6: if we think about it, because that is Steve Sarkeesian
- 35:07Speaker 6: to us a great play caller. Most of us don't.
- 35:11Speaker 6: I do know him personally, but he is a play
- 35:12Speaker 6: caller to me first and foremost. So he's got that
- 35:15Speaker 6: question about him. On the flip side, think about how
- 35:18Speaker 6: many times Mississippi State's been close this year. They had
- 35:22Speaker 6: Tennessee on the ropes at home, they let him off
- 35:24Speaker 6: the hook. They go down to Florida last week. That
- 35:28Speaker 6: game was such a Mississippi State win that Florida fired
- 35:31Speaker 6: their coach even though they won the game. That's how
- 35:33Speaker 6: close it was at the end. They've been close and
- 35:36Speaker 6: you got to get a signature win. They've got to
- 35:39Speaker 6: find the signature win somewhere. This would be the spot
- 35:42Speaker 6: to do it. Texas is struggling the top twenty points,
- 35:45Speaker 6: like you just said, for all to talk about Sark
- 35:48Speaker 6: and his offense. Jeff Leby thinks every bit as highly
- 35:52Speaker 6: of himself. He's not at Texas, he's at Mississippi State.
- 35:55Speaker 6: But Leby was at Oklahoma. He was the one pulling
- 35:58Speaker 6: the levers when they were rolling first year under Brent
- 36:01Speaker 6: Venables out there. And he's at Mississippi State now and
- 36:04Speaker 6: it's year two and they gotta have it.
- 36:06Speaker 4: And I was really on the fence about this one.
- 36:08Speaker 6: But I think in my mind, okay, some totals or
- 36:10Speaker 6: some final scores like twenty three to sixteen covers for Texas,
- 36:14Speaker 6: twenty to thirteen, twenty three to fourteen, like those cover
- 36:18Speaker 6: for Texas, I think they're gonna be ugly again this week.
- 36:22Speaker 6: There's no statement from Texas. I don't think of it
- 36:25Speaker 6: as that kind of game. I think of it as
- 36:27Speaker 6: a lower scoring, rock fight, ugly kind of game, and
- 36:31Speaker 6: Texas just somehow squeezes enough juice out of the Orange
- 36:35Speaker 6: to win by seven or more. But you still have
- 36:37Speaker 6: every bit as many questions about him. It's a back
- 36:40Speaker 6: to back road stretch for them second leg of back
- 36:42Speaker 6: to back road games here. I think Texas is gonna cover,
- 36:46Speaker 6: but I don't have a lot of confidence, and I don't.
- 36:50Speaker 4: Think it's gonna be pretty even if they do.
- 36:53Speaker 2: So this is a game too that you're not pulling
- 36:55Speaker 2: out the Fandels sportsbook gap and betting on yourself. You're
- 36:57Speaker 2: talking about it because you come on the show and
- 36:59Speaker 2: this is one of the as you have to talk.
- 37:00Speaker 6: This is is what we call a j K S
- 37:03Speaker 6: a Jeremy Clump special. Okay, yeah, this is a game.
- 37:06Speaker 6: I'm only picking.
- 37:09Speaker 5: Yeah Jeremy fair enough.
- 37:13Speaker 2: For the sake of time. This can be rhetorical. But
- 37:14Speaker 2: do you think it's Sark it's the play calling that
- 37:18Speaker 2: people we were about, or is it Stark trying to
- 37:20Speaker 2: mask Arch in the possible shoulder and maybe the limitations
- 37:23Speaker 2: that he has right now?
- 37:25Speaker 4: I absolutely think it's limitation.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Got you not Sark?
- 37:27Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I mean Sark. Sark absolutely think it's limitation.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Okay, so you think this is an Arch issue arch Man.
- 37:34Speaker 4: It's not just Art.
- 37:35Speaker 6: I mean Arch is under fire every other play too,
- 37:37Speaker 6: So it's the guy's in front of him, not I
- 37:39Speaker 6: would say not. Yeah, Like they just fundamentally we talked
- 37:43Speaker 6: about this a month ago. They just fundamentally mis evaluated
- 37:46Speaker 6: whether or whether or not they needed to go to
- 37:48Speaker 6: the portal for O line help, and they decided, we don't.
- 37:51Speaker 6: We trust our guys in house, and they were. They
- 37:54Speaker 6: were either wrong about that or they realized there's not
- 37:57Speaker 6: a lot of help we can go get right now.
- 37:59Speaker 6: Either way, that kind of are what they are. Like
- 38:02Speaker 6: what you just said, we're past mid October. We're past
- 38:06Speaker 6: the time of waiting for teams to hit their stride.
- 38:09Speaker 6: They just are who they are, and so at this
- 38:11Speaker 6: point it can only get worse. Really like, at this point,
- 38:14Speaker 6: if you're limited offensively, you can only get worse because
- 38:16Speaker 6: you can only get injured and banged up. So I
- 38:18Speaker 6: just don't know that Texas is that team that's gonna
- 38:20Speaker 6: surge in November.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Somebody is. I just don't know that.
- 38:24Speaker 6: I just don't know if quarterback and offensive line and
- 38:26Speaker 6: lack of elite speed at receiver lend to you all
- 38:29Speaker 6: of a sudden finding yourself in October November.
- 38:32Speaker 2: It's crazy that those three position groups are an issue
- 38:34Speaker 2: at the University of Taxs.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Crazy. Maybe a one year deal only but crazy where.
- 38:37Speaker 3: I'm at mentally, I have nothing but hope for teams
- 38:39Speaker 3: to hit their stride in the back half of the year.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Texas A and M at LSU, A and M ranked
- 38:46Speaker 3: three in the country. LSU has felled to twentieth in
- 38:48Speaker 3: the country. Right now, A and M is favored by
- 38:50Speaker 3: two and a half. The over under on this game
- 38:53Speaker 3: is forty seven and a half Texas A and M
- 38:58Speaker 3: minus two and a half. L s U was on
- 39:03Speaker 3: fraud alert for me back of the Florida game.
- 39:06Speaker 2: They've been a far alert for you since Clemson.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Yeah this you have?
- 39:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I flagged.
- 39:11Speaker 3: I flagged this early, especially when Clemson Law who did
- 39:13Speaker 3: Clemson ended up losing to in like week two or three,
- 39:16Speaker 3: Gia Georgia Tech like that that moment right there?
- 39:19Speaker 5: Oh, is LSU even that good? Vandy handled him?
- 39:23Speaker 3: I do have a lot of I was liking what
- 39:26Speaker 3: I saw from number fourteen. The tight end for l
- 39:28Speaker 3: s U. Tough dude to tackle. You got to get
- 39:31Speaker 3: him the ball as much as you can.
- 39:33Speaker 4: I like A and M.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Here, I just Cole Pitts looking type of tight end.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, where he kind of yeah along A couple
- 39:41Speaker 5: of times he caught it.
- 39:42Speaker 3: I'm like, man, who's this receiver? Then I realized he's
- 39:44Speaker 3: a tight end. But this is, uh, this is I
- 39:47Speaker 3: like Texas A and M. I like TEXTA A and M.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Here.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I don't have a whole lot of thought other than
- 39:51Speaker 3: just like I've watched LSU play enough to know they're
- 39:55Speaker 3: not beating this A and M t where I know
- 39:57Speaker 3: A and M is not going to let this opportunity
- 39:59Speaker 3: this weekend and slip out of their hands when it
- 40:01Speaker 3: comes to staying at the top of the sec and
- 40:04Speaker 3: with two and a half points, Yeah, I just don't
- 40:07Speaker 3: think LS she's gonna do it. And I think it's
- 40:09Speaker 3: like I think, like the majority of that fan base,
- 40:13Speaker 3: they're gonna be there, suck my Tiger, dig all that
- 40:15Speaker 3: stuff could because it's you know, it's gonna be a
- 40:17Speaker 3: night game, it's gonna be rocking. But the moment it
- 40:19Speaker 3: goes the least mid sideways, the conversation is gonna go
- 40:22Speaker 3: back to how much Brian Kelly is not the right
- 40:24Speaker 3: fitted LSU right I think the I think weirdly, I
- 40:28Speaker 3: think internally they feel it, and we all know externally
- 40:32Speaker 3: they feel it, but I think it uh, it.
- 40:34Speaker 5: Becomes even more of an open wound.
- 40:35Speaker 3: After this Saturday night in LSU, when Texas A and
- 40:38Speaker 3: M beats them.
- 40:40Speaker 6: Let me present a couple of scenarios to you please.
- 40:43Speaker 6: Scenario A LSU wounded animal back against the wall, plays
- 40:48Speaker 6: with their hair on fire, plays the best game they've
- 40:50Speaker 6: played all year. They harness the power of Tiger Stadium
- 40:54Speaker 6: at night where Brian Kelly is twenty and one at LSU,
- 40:58Speaker 6: and it's a spectacle. It's like I'm against Tennessee last
- 41:01Speaker 6: week and everyone's like, wow, dude, no one was going
- 41:03Speaker 6: in there and winning on this night, and all's well,
- 41:05Speaker 6: that ends well, And they're six and two and they
- 41:07Speaker 6: emerge from this game in the thick of the playoff race,
- 41:10Speaker 6: in the thick.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Of the SEC championship race. That's the first scenario.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Yeah, there is up to that stat that's.
- 41:16Speaker 4: A popper, all right, So let me burst the bubble.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 41:19Speaker 6: There is a really, really violently different second scenario that
- 41:23Speaker 6: I've seen happen at Tiger Stadium before. You're continuing to
- 41:27Speaker 6: buy in, like maybe you're skeptical about Brian Kelly and
- 41:30Speaker 6: maybe you're skeptical about the offense, but I'm going to
- 41:32Speaker 6: show up I'm an LSUFN, I'm a season ticket holder.
- 41:35Speaker 4: I got a job to do.
- 41:36Speaker 6: It's Saturday night in Death Valley A and M's coming
- 41:39Speaker 6: in kind of a low key rivalry vibe in this game,
- 41:41Speaker 6: by the way, that the nation doesn't realize, and it
- 41:43Speaker 6: starts poorly, and we're down fourteen to oh and we've
- 41:46Speaker 6: showed even in games we win, we score like twenty points,
- 41:49Speaker 6: so we already feel like we're behind the eight ball.
- 41:51Speaker 6: That place will empty out, and the ones that remain
- 41:55Speaker 6: will make it so toxic because they will they will
- 41:58Speaker 6: have been taken advantage of, and they will have been
- 42:01Speaker 6: played for fools again, and they will use the entire
- 42:04Speaker 6: second half of that game to voice their displeasure. And
- 42:06Speaker 6: all the power brokers are in their suites listening to it,
- 42:09Speaker 6: and the ad is in his box listening to it,
- 42:13Speaker 6: and Brian Kelly is on the field listening to it.
- 42:15Speaker 6: They got a bunch of recruits in town for this
- 42:17Speaker 6: game listening to it. Nothing turns a questionable situation sour
- 42:23Speaker 6: more quickly than a bad home performance, doubly especially for LSU. Okay,
- 42:30Speaker 6: so we've either got the sugar high offense or we've
- 42:33Speaker 6: got a sustainable offense sugar high is you remember last
- 42:36Speaker 6: week they popped one long run yep, got to the
- 42:38Speaker 6: one yard line and still couldn't punch the ball in.
- 42:41Speaker 6: But that was what they had to rely on. There
- 42:43Speaker 6: was not a lot of sustainability. They still haven't had
- 42:46Speaker 6: a one hundred yard rusher the entire year. So they
- 42:49Speaker 6: faced some teams that they can trust not to pull
- 42:52Speaker 6: away from them. A and M may be able to
- 42:54Speaker 6: pull away from you, like I trust Blake Baker defensively,
- 42:57Speaker 6: but you can't keep asking defense to bail you out.
- 43:00Speaker 6: And so if LSU can't run the ball again, and
- 43:02Speaker 6: they're relying on nuss Meyer, slash nut Meyer to bail
- 43:04Speaker 6: him out again, and he's clearly not one hundred percent,
- 43:07Speaker 6: and they're not leveraging their playmakers nearly as effectively as
- 43:10Speaker 6: Texas A and M does. A and M's going to score,
- 43:13Speaker 6: Like I'm a believer that there's a certain caliber of
- 43:15Speaker 6: offense in football that no defense is going to totally
- 43:17Speaker 6: shut down.
- 43:18Speaker 4: They're going to get some.
- 43:19Speaker 6: So I'm relying on A and M to find twenty
- 43:22Speaker 6: seven points. I don't know if LS you can answer
- 43:26Speaker 6: with twenty eight. I think A and M is going
- 43:29Speaker 6: to go in there and win. I think they're going
- 43:31Speaker 6: to cover, and I think the uncomfortability rating, the uncomfortability
- 43:34Speaker 6: factor is going to go from like six to nine
- 43:38Speaker 6: and a half. And I think there will be changes
- 43:41Speaker 6: that Brian Kelly is asked to make it the very
- 43:43Speaker 6: least internally, and I don't know that he'll do it
- 43:47Speaker 6: because it's his program at the end of the day.
- 43:49Speaker 6: But I think that'll all be downstream of this result.
- 43:52Speaker 6: I think A and M's going to win and cover,
- 43:53Speaker 6: still undefeated coming out of Baton Rouge.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree. I've talked to you, like a multiple
- 43:57Speaker 2: A and M fans a billion jiu jitsu with my
- 44:00Speaker 2: daughter last night and there was two A and M fans.
- 44:01Speaker 2: They were talking about this is when as a fan
- 44:04Speaker 2: of Texas A and M. This is when it all
- 44:06Speaker 2: falls apart for us. Happens every year now we get
- 44:08Speaker 2: high and then all of a sudden, this happens. I
- 44:10Speaker 2: disagree with them. I agree with you guys. I think
- 44:12Speaker 2: AM goes in. They might end the Brian Kelly era.
- 44:16Speaker 2: And they watched the Vanderbilt game and they say, well,
- 44:18Speaker 2: our quarterbacks not Diego Pavia, but he can run like
- 44:20Speaker 2: Diego Pavia. We can do similar things on offense that
- 44:23Speaker 2: they did and run the ball against in that way,
- 44:25Speaker 2: and they believe more in their defensive line than what
- 44:27Speaker 2: they saw out of the Vanderbilt defensive line who also
- 44:29Speaker 2: got pressure on not miner And for that reason and
- 44:32Speaker 2: that reason alone, I will take A and M this
- 44:34Speaker 2: week still out.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Yes, I believe so. Yeah.
- 44:36Speaker 6: Remember I've made it a point to low key keep
- 44:39Speaker 6: mentioning how Brian Kelly has not endeared himself to Louisiana's.
- 44:44Speaker 4: He has such little equity.
- 44:45Speaker 6: Built up for a guy who's five and two right,
- 44:48Speaker 6: for a guy who you know is mathematically still alive
- 44:52Speaker 6: for all their preseason goals. They don't like him. LSU
- 44:56Speaker 6: fans don't like him. So as long as someone you
- 44:59Speaker 6: don't like is winning, you're willing to hold your nose.
- 45:01Speaker 6: And that's okay. Man, football is great. I don't have
- 45:03Speaker 6: to be best friends with this guy. I could play
- 45:05Speaker 6: with him, he could coach for me. But the second
- 45:08Speaker 6: it goes sideways, or in LSU fans cases, the second
- 45:11Speaker 6: they feel like this season is a lost cause, they
- 45:13Speaker 6: will turn so quickly because they think they deserve better.
- 45:17Speaker 6: They happen to be right, they do deserve better. Everyone
- 45:20Speaker 6: who is coached there this millennium has won a national championship,
- 45:24Speaker 6: including a guy who randed up the middle every other
- 45:26Speaker 6: play in eight grass on third down, and a guy
- 45:28Speaker 6: who needed subtitles for you to understand what he was saying.
- 45:31Speaker 6: They won national championships. So if you're not going to
- 45:33Speaker 6: get it done for us, why are you are head coach?
- 45:35Speaker 4: Oh?
- 45:35Speaker 6: And by the way, we don't even like you. You're
- 45:38Speaker 6: not a lovable loser or he is not a loser,
- 45:40Speaker 6: but we don't even like you.
- 45:42Speaker 4: You don't like us. Do you like yourself? We don't know.
- 45:45Speaker 4: That's how it turns if they lose Saturday.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Is the same guy that higher Brian killers. He's still there.
- 45:49Speaker 4: He sure is, Yeah, And I don't know if.
- 45:52Speaker 2: You have any type of relationship with this guy, But
- 45:55Speaker 2: do you have to look back and even at his
- 45:57Speaker 2: first press conferences in the basketball arena using his fake
- 46:01Speaker 2: Southern accent, you had to know right then and there
- 46:02Speaker 2: like this is not going to work out long term.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Brian Kelly's personality has never seemed so wrong for LSU
- 46:08Speaker 2: and the culture there.
- 46:10Speaker 6: That would require great instinct, and I don't know that
- 46:14Speaker 6: great instinct has always been exercised in the decisions that
- 46:17Speaker 6: have been made down.
- 46:18Speaker 4: There hiring finance.
- 46:21Speaker 6: They've gotten themselves in some issues because of lack of
- 46:24Speaker 6: instinct and judgment. Those who know will know, Yeah, yeah,
- 46:28Speaker 6: I'm not one.
- 46:29Speaker 4: All right.
- 46:30Speaker 2: We ended up this episode to bring you Form Energy.
- 46:32Speaker 2: Form Energy delivers best in Classtates with natural flavors and
- 46:34Speaker 2: zero sugar. Form Energy has a natural caffeine derived from
- 46:37Speaker 2: green tea. Form comes in a variety of flavors screaming, Freedom,

- 46:44Speaker 2: now available at seven eleven nationwide from October thirteenth through
- 46:49Speaker 2: October twenty second, which is today. You can find Form
- 46:54Speaker 2: Energy for only one dollar at seven to eleven with
- 46:57Speaker 2: seven rewards those who put in the work force energy,
- 47:01Speaker 2: we do the work.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Ole Miss in Oklahoma this is a big one. Ole
- 47:05Speaker 3: Miss eighth in the country, Oklahoma thirteenth in the country.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Oklahoma is favored by four and a half at home
- 47:13Speaker 3: over under on this game fifty four and a half
- 47:18Speaker 3: this Ole Miss bounce back. Can Oklahoma keep this offense
- 47:25Speaker 3: of ole Miss at bay long enough to put up
- 47:28Speaker 3: enough points and win this game? Can they control the
- 47:30Speaker 3: line of scrimmage. Can they keep the Ole Miss offense
- 47:33Speaker 3: off the field. Can they get home with this elite
- 47:37Speaker 3: pass rushing unit against Old Trinidad. Trinidad's better throwing against
- 47:42Speaker 3: pressure than he is when he's not pressured.
- 47:45Speaker 2: That's true.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Do either of you have a strong feeling on this game.
- 47:50Speaker 2: I feel confident about Old Miss, but there's always maybe
- 47:54Speaker 2: John Mateer's thumb is getting better. Yeah, maybe he becomes
- 47:57Speaker 2: the guy that he was earlier in the season, the
- 47:59Speaker 2: Heisman front running candidate. That gives me a little bit
- 48:02Speaker 2: of fear. Oklahoma being able to find success on the
- 48:06Speaker 2: ground last week, that gives me a touch of fear.
- 48:09Speaker 2: The thing that I lean on is Lane Kiffen his
- 48:12Speaker 2: play calling versus a great Bread Vnovuls defense. I think
- 48:15Speaker 2: he gets twenty eight points out of that. And then
- 48:20Speaker 2: seeing John Matteer, knowing the injury he has, it's not
- 48:24Speaker 2: an injury that's like if you keep playing the longer play,
- 48:27Speaker 2: it'll kind of callous over and get better. This is
- 48:29Speaker 2: not an injury that you can just play through and
- 48:32Speaker 2: be like, oh, it's like he's not even injuredy Moore.
- 48:34Speaker 2: This is the thing that if it's four weeks. You've
- 48:36Speaker 2: got to take all four weeks. If it's six week,
- 48:37Speaker 2: you got to take all six weeks. He chose to
- 48:39Speaker 2: come back for the Red River shootout, and I think
- 48:43Speaker 2: that was a mistake that was made a postgame press conference,
- 48:46Speaker 2: he literally said, regardless of how I felt, I was
- 48:49Speaker 2: going to play that game. So he's put himself in
- 48:53Speaker 2: a very unique situation. His legs haven't been the thing
- 48:56Speaker 2: that's got him out, Like he hasn't been throwing the
- 48:58Speaker 2: ball like John Mattier can throw the football, but he
- 49:00Speaker 2: also has been using his legs to extend plays and
- 49:03Speaker 2: get a whole lot of yards. So I have to
- 49:05Speaker 2: look at the drive chart for Ole Miss versus Georgia,
- 49:08Speaker 2: and until those last three, which were the most important
- 49:11Speaker 2: drives of the game, it was touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown.
- 49:13Speaker 5: It was a fun game.
- 49:14Speaker 2: It was a fun game to watch. I think they
- 49:17Speaker 2: have a I think lane Kip him has a bad
- 49:19Speaker 2: taste in his mouth. I think he could be thinking
- 49:21Speaker 2: about Florida. But I have to believe that he knows
- 49:26Speaker 2: like we're still in this mathematically and like for an
- 49:29Speaker 2: SEC championship where we could everything we want to achieve
- 49:32Speaker 2: is still right here, he can go get his name
- 49:35Speaker 2: on street signs and ole Miss and go to Florida
- 49:38Speaker 2: the next year and do the same thing. And I
- 49:40Speaker 2: think if he realizes what he has in front of him,
- 49:42Speaker 2: with the talent he has on this offense and this
- 49:46Speaker 2: Oklahoma run game was like a one game.
- 49:48Speaker 6: Thing, I like, Ole Miss, you want me to make
- 49:51Speaker 6: you feel even better about that. I had an SEC
- 49:53Speaker 6: coach text me Monday, ole Miss is about to expose
- 49:57Speaker 6: Oklahoma's corners.
- 50:00Speaker 5: That's a scary text here.
- 50:01Speaker 2: That's a scary text to here. And it's also scary
- 50:03Speaker 2: to hear because I know there's a butt coming. Because
- 50:05Speaker 2: I do, I will start boycotting after the show because
- 50:09Speaker 2: we had a little therapy session on Bust with the boys.
- 50:10Speaker 2: But before I knew we were going to boycott Josh
- 50:12Speaker 2: Pai show, I didn't watch this prediction on this game.
- 50:15Speaker 2: So where's the butt?
- 50:17Speaker 4: I think the SEC coach is wrong.
- 50:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think this CC coach really has a
- 50:22Speaker 6: clue what he's talking about.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Dude only does it for a living, so so.
- 50:26Speaker 5: What's supposed to make him feel better?
- 50:28Speaker 4: Well, he already picked on Miss.
- 50:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I wanted to another bullet in the chamber for him,
- 50:33Speaker 6: but he doesn't.
- 50:33Speaker 2: They're going to expose Oklahoma's corners. And I'm thinking back,
- 50:37Speaker 2: I watched the prediction of this game on Josh Paig Show,
- 50:42Speaker 2: and it is not Oklahoma's corner is gonna be exposed.
- 50:45Speaker 5: You like Oklahoma?
- 50:46Speaker 4: Yeah? I love Oklahoma. I like Klahoma too.
- 50:48Speaker 3: I feel like when you look at at FanDuel and
- 50:51Speaker 3: you see like you see Oklahoma.
- 50:53Speaker 5: Favorite by four and a half.
- 50:54Speaker 3: You've watched this old Miss offense, it's kind of like
- 50:57Speaker 3: it seems like it's a no brainer to go, oh
- 50:59Speaker 3: Miss here, but I do. It's like, uh, Oklahoma has to. Weirdly,
- 51:04Speaker 3: Oklahoma has to have this game because they have the
- 51:06Speaker 3: hardest remaining schedule in the season.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Yep, oh Miss.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Even if you drop this game, like it's a very
- 51:12Speaker 3: favorable schedule, they'll probably if they lose this game, they
- 51:14Speaker 3: would end up what.
- 51:15Speaker 4: Ten and two? Yeah?
- 51:18Speaker 3: I like Oklahoma here because I like the pass rush.
- 51:23Speaker 4: They do blitz a lot.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Hopefully they sit here and have you know, they're they're
- 51:26Speaker 3: sitting back and looking at everything, and you can't allow
- 51:29Speaker 3: this offense to get on top of you. You have
- 51:33Speaker 3: to you have to win this game a certain way
- 51:34Speaker 3: and it's through the running game, which again they looked
- 51:37Speaker 3: really good against South Carolina. Jeohn Matterier is health getting
- 51:41Speaker 3: getting better, and I'm betting on Jeometerier getting back to
- 51:45Speaker 3: the form of Josh Pate preseason heisman to where they
- 51:49Speaker 3: were performing before he got injured. I like Oklahoma. I
- 51:54Speaker 3: like Oklahoma here. I like him. I like the defense.
- 51:57Speaker 3: I like the run game they have to be. They
- 52:00Speaker 3: have to win this game again a certain way to
- 52:03Speaker 3: where they kind of bleed the clock. They control drives
- 52:05Speaker 3: to keep that offense out off the field, because again,
- 52:07Speaker 3: the old miss offense can get on top of you
- 52:10Speaker 3: faster than we got here, faster.
- 52:13Speaker 5: Than a two pay in a hurricane. There we go.
- 52:15Speaker 3: It can get on you that quickly. But I do
- 52:19Speaker 3: I like Oklahoma at home. I like them in the
- 52:20Speaker 3: spots where they have to have it Oklahoma minus four
- 52:23Speaker 3: and a half.
- 52:23Speaker 2: I like what you said. Can you break down how
- 52:26Speaker 2: hard it would be to get a two pay to
- 52:28Speaker 2: land on your head in a hurricane?
- 52:30Speaker 5: Oh, hurricane off your head in her got you?
- 52:33Speaker 2: Got you?
- 52:33Speaker 5: Ah?
- 52:34Speaker 4: That's like the opposite of flower in molasses December.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe I worded that in correctly, But get on
- 52:39Speaker 3: you quicker. Than a two pay leaving your head in
- 52:41Speaker 3: a hurricane.
- 52:42Speaker 2: Gotcha, we fink found it, yeound found it, landed the plane.
- 52:46Speaker 6: A sentence that has not come out of any of
- 52:48Speaker 6: our mouths so far this year is Oklahoma's going to
- 52:50Speaker 6: win this game run in the football. But I think
- 52:52Speaker 6: Oklahoma's going to win this game run.
- 52:53Speaker 4: In the football.
- 52:54Speaker 6: They've sucked at it most of the year. They were
- 52:56Speaker 6: okay doing it last week. A couple of things that
- 52:59Speaker 6: come to my mind here Ole miss ninety ninth run
- 53:01Speaker 6: defense in the country. That defense was on the field
- 53:03Speaker 6: eighty plays last week, which in modern college football is
- 53:06Speaker 6: a lot. It's the second leg of a back to
- 53:08Speaker 6: back road stretch for them. I despise that Lane Kiffin's
- 53:12Speaker 6: name has been out there as much as it has
- 53:14Speaker 6: with Florida, me knowing full well Lane Kiffin has paid
- 53:17Speaker 6: attention to that and has not blocked the noise out.
- 53:19Speaker 6: You'll also never convince me that didn't play a part
- 53:22Speaker 6: in how Nebraska looked last Friday night. By the way,
- 53:25Speaker 6: you'll never convince me that Tulane didn't struggle to the
- 53:28Speaker 6: end against Army if not for John Summerl's name being
- 53:31Speaker 6: out there. We've never seen hot seat talk, and we've
- 53:34Speaker 6: never seen coaching karrosel talk to this degree in October, so.
- 53:37Speaker 4: It's a new thing.
- 53:38Speaker 6: So we're seeing how it impacts teams first ride around
- 53:42Speaker 6: the Merry Go Round. Also for everybody who's going to
- 53:46Speaker 6: focus on Lane Kiffen versus Brenton Venables, I actually think
- 53:50Speaker 6: it's a Ben Arbuckle versus Peak Golden game. Those are
- 53:54Speaker 6: the Oklahoma OC and ole Miss DC's, respectively, And I
- 53:57Speaker 6: think Ben Arbuckle is going to dial one up here.
- 54:00Speaker 4: And I do think that.
- 54:01Speaker 6: Unlike last week when ole Miss went on the road
- 54:04Speaker 6: and Chambliss, you know, everyone's touting his numbers against pressure.
- 54:08Speaker 6: He hasn't faced an elite pressure team. George is a
- 54:10Speaker 6: terrible pressure team this year. And so it's crazy because
- 54:13Speaker 6: you're thinking your mind, oh, you got to go into Athens.
- 54:15Speaker 4: That's going to be tough. Not this year. It's not it.
- 54:19Speaker 6: George is a good team, but that specific matchup is
- 54:22Speaker 6: not tough. This is the number one pressure defense in
- 54:24Speaker 6: the country. It is night and day different from what
- 54:26Speaker 6: he faced last week. It's night and day different from
- 54:28Speaker 6: what he's faced all year. And I really think they
- 54:31Speaker 6: can crowbar ole Miss offensively in a way that no
- 54:34Speaker 6: one else they've played this year could And so I
- 54:36Speaker 6: actually think that Oklahoma's going to tilt the game a
- 54:38Speaker 6: little bit.
- 54:39Speaker 3: You're new for viewers that are bussing tuning in, Josh paid,
- 54:42Speaker 3: explain your.
- 54:43Speaker 5: Crow bar theory.
- 54:44Speaker 6: The crowbar theory is if you face a certain caliber
- 54:47Speaker 6: defense and you're vulnerable to it offensively, what happens is
- 54:52Speaker 6: they tossed the crowbar and the bicycle spokes, and the
- 54:55Speaker 6: bicycle does not slow down. If you toss crowbar and
- 54:57Speaker 6: the bicycle spokes, the bike just stops. You fly over
- 55:00Speaker 6: the handlebars, your face is all skint up, but it
- 55:03Speaker 6: doesn't slow down. That's the point is if you're averaging
- 55:06Speaker 6: thirty five points per game and you face an elite defense,
- 55:09Speaker 6: you don't think to yourself, h okay, we'll still score
- 55:12Speaker 6: twenty five twenty six. You could go from scoring thirty
- 55:15Speaker 6: five to oh, we've got nine on the board going
- 55:17Speaker 6: into the fourth quarter. How did that happen? You got crowbard,
- 55:20Speaker 6: That's how it happened. Now, you could set up a
- 55:22Speaker 6: short field defensively and you could score, and that's great.
- 55:25Speaker 6: You could score special teams. You could score defensively and
- 55:28Speaker 6: that makes the scoreboard look different. But in terms of
- 55:30Speaker 6: pure offensive production, it would stun me if ole Miss
- 55:34Speaker 6: just moved up and down the field this week or
- 55:36Speaker 6: even close to that like they did against Georgia early
- 55:38Speaker 6: in the game last week. So I don't think ou
- 55:41Speaker 6: needs forty to win this game. Consequently, I don't think
- 55:45Speaker 6: they'll score forty, but I do think they'll run the
- 55:48Speaker 6: ball a healthy amount. Do think they'll control tempo, and
- 55:51Speaker 6: I do think they'll control game script, and they'll win
- 55:53Speaker 6: the game and cover.
- 55:54Speaker 5: So you don't see this Old Miss offense as one
- 55:56Speaker 5: of those offenses that's going to score no matter what.
- 55:58Speaker 4: No, I do not.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Yes, ole Miss separation Saturday. This is
- 56:07Speaker 2: actually the separation Saturday. I think we're all, well, just
- 56:10Speaker 2: split the separation.
- 56:12Speaker 4: I know I can't do another two and three. I
- 56:16Speaker 4: just can't do it.
- 56:16Speaker 2: I know last time we went two and three before
- 56:18Speaker 2: the show started to go why were you two and three?
- 56:20Speaker 6: Even the weeks where my picks go good, I'm having
- 56:22Speaker 6: to sweat Saturday night and I'm having to.
- 56:24Speaker 4: See wait, all right, so let's say I went twelve
- 56:26Speaker 4: and four. Which games did we.
- 56:28Speaker 6: Pick on locker room. Oh it's three of the four
- 56:31Speaker 6: I lost. Awesome, great feeling, great feeling.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Do you think there's there's something in picking just more games,
- 56:38Speaker 2: just having more AMMO? I'm being concentrated on like three.
- 56:41Speaker 6: Maybe I would petition to have a couple of weeks
- 56:44Speaker 6: where we just go fifteen deep. I don't even need
- 56:46Speaker 6: to break it down. I don't need to even make
- 56:48Speaker 6: a facial gesture. I would just love to rattle it off.
- 56:50Speaker 6: I'd love to go cal Virginia Tech on a Friday night.
- 56:53Speaker 6: I would love to I would love to talk app
- 56:55Speaker 6: State plus fourteen and avast old dominion.
- 56:57Speaker 4: I would love to do it.
- 56:58Speaker 2: If we stay this close in the standings and we
- 57:01Speaker 2: get to the second week in November and those last
- 57:04Speaker 2: two weeks, we maybe do that, just really separate us.
- 57:08Speaker 5: Just picked fifteen games.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Just pick every game.
- 57:11Speaker 5: Bring back rapid Fire.
- 57:13Speaker 3: Bring back rapid Fire, at least for a week. Maybe
- 57:17Speaker 3: the comments will tell us too. You get enough comments,
- 57:20Speaker 3: get the rapid Fire back. Pick fifteen games. We'll pick
- 57:23Speaker 3: fifteen games. Say yeah, the crowd is never wrong. Game
- 57:26Speaker 3: of the week, true classic game of the week. Every
- 57:29Speaker 3: Saturday's got games, but only one fits just right. And
- 57:31Speaker 3: this is True Classics Game of the Week.
- 57:33Speaker 2: So it's also brought to you by True Classic. True
- 57:37Speaker 2: class you can find at Amazon and Costco, Sam's Club
- 57:39Speaker 2: and a Target nationwide, or at True Classic dot com
- 57:42Speaker 2: Forward Slash Busting. Your boy likes the tight pants. I
- 57:45Speaker 2: got the tight pants on right now. These are True
- 57:46Speaker 2: Classic right here. They fit great. You can get real
- 57:49Speaker 2: mobile on those boys right there. You're gonna do whatever
- 57:51Speaker 2: you want, do whatever you want, but you're gonna look good,
- 57:53Speaker 2: feel good, play good. In True Classic.
- 57:55Speaker 3: We got Miszoo Miszoo coming to Nashville, Tennessee. Folto Light
- 58:00Speaker 3: Tour will be there. College game, They'll be there. Miszoo
- 58:02Speaker 3: is fifteen in the country. Vanderbilt is ten in the country. Look,
- 58:07Speaker 3: kay McConnell, Friend of the Show, Friend of the Show.
- 58:10Speaker 3: Vanderbilt is favored this Saturday minus two and a half.
- 58:13Speaker 3: The over under on this game is fifty two and
- 58:15Speaker 3: a half. Gentlemen, this is a big game.
- 58:19Speaker 4: Is Nashville the center of the college football world? Now?
- 58:21Speaker 6: Yes, yes, I think it's safe to say yes. Not
- 58:23Speaker 6: even a close second.
- 58:24Speaker 3: No, sen you're trying to rattle through all the different
- 58:28Speaker 3: spots this game.
- 58:30Speaker 2: Do they win out?
- 58:32Speaker 7: That's still tough to say. They got to go to Texas. Still,
- 58:36Speaker 7: they've got the Auburn. Make of that, what you will?
- 58:40Speaker 7: They got Tennessee at the end of the year. My
- 58:41Speaker 7: guess would be no.
- 58:43Speaker 6: Mathematically, that's a tough three game stretch to run. But
- 58:47Speaker 6: they if they win this one, the question is not
- 58:50Speaker 6: will they win out? The question is can they afford
- 58:52Speaker 6: to drop one more and still make the playoff?
- 58:54Speaker 4: Taylor wants you to say no, so he doesn't have
- 58:56Speaker 4: to take the entire offensive.
- 58:58Speaker 2: No, I've actually a comele of terms with that. That's
- 59:00Speaker 2: a great point, Mitch.
- 59:00Speaker 4: I did, like if you start started budgeting for.
- 59:03Speaker 2: That, that's one of those you call the financial advising.
- 59:06Speaker 2: But you're going to see a lot of things here.
- 59:07Speaker 5: Just know, like I just know this is my fault.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Yeah, this is my fault that this is happening right now.
- 59:14Speaker 2: It's just one of those deals. And I'm I think
- 59:16Speaker 2: I'm flipping the script a little bit. I don't know
- 59:18Speaker 2: if I'm subconsciously doing it because I want them to
- 59:21Speaker 2: lose and because I've been against them they're winning, and
- 59:23Speaker 2: now I'll flip it once I say I'm with them,
- 59:25Speaker 2: because I am taking Vanderbilt in this game, something about
- 59:28Speaker 2: magic Man and something about a school that you know.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Nick Saban says, there's no easy place to play in
- 59:35Speaker 2: the SEC except for Vanderbilt. They've proven that wrong now.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Something about Diego Pavia being in New Mexico, transferring with
- 59:41Speaker 2: Clark Lee when he got the head coaching job, and
- 59:44Speaker 2: just sitting the world on fire, not once, but twice,
- 59:46Speaker 2: doing it two years in a row. It's something that
- 59:49Speaker 2: we're going to be able to look back on in
- 59:51Speaker 2: ten years and be like, dude, I remember that run
- 59:53Speaker 2: from vander.
- 59:53Speaker 4: We were there.
- 59:54Speaker 2: Because now Clark Lee he's the head coach at Auburn,
- 59:56Speaker 2: He's they're doing whatever. You know, Diego Pavia, who knows
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: he's up to. But like, what a cool It's great.
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: Story, great game, Diego in ten years fill in the blanks.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: That is the game. That is the game. And I
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: just I love the magic. I love the magic. I
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: think with Missouri wins that game, kind of the college
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: football peerists get to sit back and go, Okay, everything's
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: kind of put back into the place it should be.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: We're gonna assume they're gonna lose one or maybe two
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: more of these in games, so they have a hard schedule,
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: and they're not gonna make the playof they're gonna in
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: a bowl game, that'll be it. But something about this
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: is beautiful, something about them taking LSU, being favored against
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: LSU two brands, one that's way bigger than the other,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: and the lower the one and lower on the totem
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: pole ends up beating them outright and then doing the
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: same thing this.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: Week and own the game, own the game, just owned it.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Like playing with their hair on fire. Getting a city
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: that revolves mostly around country music to revolve around a
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: school that is more known as a close to Ivanley
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: school than anything else. I think that's beautiful. And regardless
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: of how well Missouri runs the ball, drink away and
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: he's getting the noise from other college coaching jobs, I want,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: I want to continue to believe in magic. For that reason,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: I'll be taking Vanderbilt.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Good for you, Missoo money line, Nice Missoula money line.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Hardy's coming to town. It's a team that can run
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: the football. Let's look at these trenches that they're you know,
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: that's that's that's facing off this weekend. Number one back
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Auburg game last week. That captain on defense just talking
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: shit in overtime and then going out there and getting
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: a sack and attackle for loss, Like this is going
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: to be a dogfight. I like the dogfight on Missoo
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: side this game because if you look at who Vandy
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: has played in the trenches when it comes to running
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: defense or they're rushing, or like the run defenses they're
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: going against, and also.
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: Teams that can run the football.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: They beat Georgia Southern, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Georgia State,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: Utah State, Alabama takes you through the air, and then
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: also LSU Miszoo can run the football. I think they
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: win this game running the football. I like Missooon and
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: the trenches in this game. I do love the story
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: of Vanderbilt. I like I love the Kate McConnell's getting
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: all the praise. We are endo we're Bandy fans here,
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: But if I'm picking this game, I like Missoo.
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: I like them out right. I like him here in
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: Nashville during the fall do light tour.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: Now hold on Bandy's the number twelve run d in
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: the country.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Again, the rushing offense is that they've won against. We
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: just talked about LSU. You look at Bama it's that's
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: ty Simpson.
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: Hold on, let's just rattle them up. Bama number one
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: hundred and four rushing.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Offense in the country.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: Who else, LSU number one hundred and seventeen rushing offense.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: Let's try South Carolina number one hundred and twenty one
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: rushing offense.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: If you look them up, let's start. Let's go Virginia
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Tech next.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: I actually don't have that written down. I never planned
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: on this.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: Dam Charleston Southern.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: I thought we were handing totally making a point, we're
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: gonna move on. It was really gonna flow. I've got
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: no clue what Georgia State ranks nationally.
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: Then look at the then look those up.
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: That's interesting. So tell me which team I'm describing here?
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: All right? Run first team with a mobile quarterback.
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: I third and fourth down conversion rate top five, actually
- 1:03:04Speaker 6: more opportunistic than elite. Defensively good pass rush, top ten
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: pressure rate without blitzing. Lost to Bama. There's chatter about
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: the head coach may be moving on after this year.
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: Which team am I describing there? There's no wrong answer.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it's both.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: Knowing we broke down Bama Mazoo.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: I know that Bama is really good or I know
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: that Maszoo is really good on third and fourth down
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: conversion rate, pass rush. I don't know the whole elite defense,
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: but they're very opportunistic. But I would guess we're talking
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: about Miszoo.
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: Here we are, but we're also talking about Vanderbilt. I
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: describe both teams. They look in the mirror, they see
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: each other. So my very very advanced analytical take on
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: this is, whoever plays with the lead in the game
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: probably has the best chance to win. It would help
- 1:03:49Speaker 6: if we could figure out who that's gonna be. I
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: agree with you. I watched your preview video. I agree
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: with you. I think there may be. If there's a
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: crack in this game, it's that Bandy's run defense, while
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: statistically top fifteen, may not have been pressed on like
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: they will. Hopefully Ahmad Hardy able to run the ball
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: like he was the first five games in the season.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: I think that's just enough.
- 1:04:13Speaker 6: There is no human being on the planet that is
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: equipped to play the disrespect. No one believes in us thing,
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: even though we're a two and a half point dog
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: more than Eli Drinklett's and I think they're going to
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: come in there, and I flipped at the last minute
- 1:04:26Speaker 6: last week and picked Lsu.
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: I am not flipping this week. Somehow.
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: I think Missouri is going to come in there and
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: get to win. If I'm wrong, If you're right with Vandy,
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: we enter a world in the last week of October
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: where Vandy can afford to lose another game and still
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: make the playoff. That's how big the stakes are here, Yeah.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Which would honestly be a fun world for fun Nashville
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: and Vanderbilt Cave McConnell. He's sown by the shop to
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: pick up some merch the other day and I was
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: just letting her know. As he's walking out to his
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: vehicle to his truck, I'm just say, hey, buddy, Miszoo's
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: coming to town.
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: He's like, oh, yeah, you know.
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: I'm like, no, oh, no, Missoo is coming to town.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Little did he know that. I was like, Hey, this
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: is Missouri money line all day.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, you wait till the door closed before you
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: said it.
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: I didn't say. I didn't even say that.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: I'm just letting him know so he can stay focused
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: and not here on this rat poison because we're fluffing
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: him up. Right, everybody in the world's fluffing up became
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: McConnell's clip. Coolmore just letting him know, hey, Miszoo's coming
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: to keep him focused. As he's getting in the truck.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: I'm like, he doesn't know.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Kid's got the right mindset. He knows that clip is
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: going extremely viral. I was at somebody's house last night
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: for a game night that my wife tricked me into
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: love game nights. Don't like him when they go to
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: one am. Don't like that at all, especially when ifter
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: drive fifteen minutes after that. But while we're sitting there
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: playing playing a game. On the back, there's the local
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: news going on. It's showing Gey McConnell's clip, Kate McConnell's clip,
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: and it's showing about how viral it's gone this one
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: play by this Vanderbilt offensive lineman.
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: And then it shows him and he's doing an interview
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: on it. And when he's hit sitting at the office
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: and he's saying, I can't let that get in my head.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: He's looking at me like den the eyes the fire,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: being like we knew he'd be seven to oh six
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: and one going in this game. We knew this way
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: is the game. Those when to define our season.
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: I have to believe.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: Now I there, and they've showed me enough. They've showed
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: me enough at this point where the story's fun, it's exciting.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Diego Pavi has no business doing what he's doing. I mean,
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: is there's no business Diego Pavia with his wrestler brains
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: to Will and sec team into a contender conversation. Yet
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: here we are, and I officially have to be here
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: for it and understand that my wall might hurt because
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: I love it, all right.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I was gonna say go Vandy, but.
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: I got go to Vandy.
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: Yeah, to go to the game.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Are you you know? I'm there?
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: Doubleheaders?
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: The book thirty game, I'm here, happen, I'm parked.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Maybe a Friday game.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: It's Bold Softball Championships this Friday.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Night, which, by the way, how's that going? Because every
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: clip you put is obviously always highlights, But talk to
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: me about the full game.
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: Well, we're in the playoffs, which every team makes. We're
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: in the lineup hitting in the three hole. All right,
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: big dog, every bit as much pressure Friday as there
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: will be Saturday. Here in Nashville high.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: School baseball player. We talked about Diego Pavia like he
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: shouldn't be in this edition. This should this man? Yeah, no,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: a baseball guy.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: I am Kate. I knew it was going to come
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: down to this.
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I knew this Friday night in mid October was
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: where I was gonna create my legacy one way or another.
- 1:07:33Speaker 4: And I gotta strain neck right now.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: So you know, yeah, you got two nights ago I said,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: I got this kink back here, and I'm thinking so nervous.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: It's just hell, Josh, you want to play flag football
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: on Wednesdays. Let me let me talk after we get
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: through this season. I'm not going. I'm not going to
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: sports at once on you. I can't do that.
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: I gotta They're throwing eighteen mile an hour fastballs at
- 1:07:54Speaker 6: me right now on Friday night.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: I gotta focus. I gotta like it on.
- 1:07:56Speaker 6: Softball, Mitch, he's in a flag football und I saw
- 1:08:00Speaker 6: all that. It doesn't look like you need a lot
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: of help. Looks like you guys have got it pretty
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: well locked down. I mean, we're we got a silent squad,
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: solid squad. We haven't accomplished.
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: Anything, haven't won undefeated, haven't won anything yet.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: Though I haven't won anything yet.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: Me neither neither of.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: I quicker reminder, if you don't already know, the Boys
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: have a profit boost token available every college football Saturday.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: That's a profit boost on any college football Saturday. Bet
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: just open up the FANDOL Sportsbook app this Saturday and
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: look out for the boosting with the Boys profit boost token.
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: Back to the episode, Dog's the Week, Let's do it.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: I'm riding the same train. I went Michigan State last
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: week against Indiana. Michigan State covered. I'm going UCLA plus twenty.
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: Five and a half.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: I thought that was going to be I thought you
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: were gonna go in Michigan State to cover. Oh oh
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: oh no yeah in yeah, last week, I'm thinking, oh
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: my god, after the bus talk.
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: Yeah, that's about Nebraska though, that's.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: That's about support. It's about friendship more than there's a
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: core foundational piece in there.
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: Look, Indiana, this is the Indiana game. Yeah, u CLA.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: The spread right now UCLA is three and oh since
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: this regis playing each other, yes, yes, and they got
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: twenty five and a half points Indiana.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: You know you're still looking at that logo.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Go no, I agree with well, yeah, it's more just
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: that it's so many points, not like Indiana is just
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: blowing everybody out like they're playing really good. They're one
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: of the best teams in the country. Signetty has got
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: them boys rolling. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that.
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: All I'm just saying twenty five and a half points
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: is a lot of points against a team that is
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: three and oh in my brain, and I think should
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: be nationally for everybody else. They're playing good football. Twenty
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: five and a half points. This is not gonna say it,
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: but responsibly. Yeah, this is as good as it gets.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Yeah, can we play, since I have the commission of
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: culture book, we play a little crystal ball game. Let's
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: just say, hypothetically UCLA beats Indiana outright, what kind of
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: conversation is taking place with UCLA and the college football landscape.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Is there a world where they've lost three games?
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Four games?
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: There's three and three right now, there's three and three.
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: But they've lost.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Let's say they win.
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: I'll tell you the conversation. Here's what the conversation would
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: sound like. There would be a group over here saying.
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: Wow, you gotta hire Jerry Newheisl as the permanent head coach.
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: And then there would be a few people over here saying,
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: you understand he's not the current head coach, right, That's
- 1:10:29Speaker 6: what it would sound like. And then they would say,
- 1:10:30Speaker 6: could we introduce you to Tim Skipper, who has actually
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: been the interim head coach this whole time. He's gotten
- 1:10:35Speaker 6: a tenth of the camera time, but this is actually
- 1:10:38Speaker 6: the interim head coach right now. The conversation would be that,
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: and then it would be should we hire James Franklin?
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: Should we bring James Franklin all the way out here?
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: That's would be the conversation.
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: That's what the conversation would be.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: Do you think in nine and three UCLA team has
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: a shot to make the playoff? No? Beat the Indiana No,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: Let me see.
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: Yeah, keep going, but I'm looking at the because it's
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: not a shot in the dark and say they can
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: still be in the Big Ten Championship.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: Right, I'm trying to figure out.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Who else Indiana. Indiana is undefeated, but.
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: They're not undefeated.
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: Il A went true.
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: So both those are two Indiana one loss.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: Team Ohio State plays u c l A. I believe
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: yeah they.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Do, so hostate will be a two loss.
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: Tell you what? Tell you?
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: What if if U c l A runs this and
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: they've got wins over number one and number two. Yeah,
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: if we think a nine to three sec team could
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: make it, why not a team with that resume in
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: the Big Ten?
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: You gotta play U S. They play USC at the
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: end of the year too.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: Another one. They got the Huskers.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: They do well. So it sounds nice, but yeah.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: We're gonna end the conversation there.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: Oh holl State USC, you're missing when this ain't happening
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: for UCL, got you?
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: Okay?
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: My dog of the week South Carolina game Cocks plus
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: eleven and a half. No one believes that Alabama's not
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: going to cover this. That's a double negative. No one
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: believes except for Josh Pate. This is exactly when you
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: take South Carolina. This is defensive touchdowns. This is best
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: case scenario. South Carolina's offense is not on the field
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: all the entire game.
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: Yeah, we got to get the offense off the field,
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: so we got a shot.
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: This fifty five minutes Alabama time of possession. That's how
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: South Carolina wins this game.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: Oh man, I hate that, You're right. I just think
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: it's a terrible spot for Alabama.
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: This is my National champ. I have texted Kaitlin Debor,
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: I have texted Kyme Womack. I have texted every coach
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: I can. I've texted the Sids. I talked about it
- 1:12:44Speaker 6: on the show and sent the clips to them. This
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: is the fifth game in a row where they've got
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: to be up, and they've been up for four of them.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: And now the thought is, all right, well, we celebrated,
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: we smoked our cigars, we beat Tennessee. That this is electric.
- 1:12:57Speaker 6: I was there Saturday night, off the record, of course.
- 1:12:59Speaker 6: And so now you're trying to get to the bye week.
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: Now we're gonna get through South Carolina. Let's get out
- 1:13:04Speaker 6: of their healthy Meanwhile, it's the most wounded animal mode
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: that you'll ever be in. It's the last gasp of October.
- 1:13:10Speaker 6: You can't go winless in October. Has that ever happened?
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: Not in the history of the not in the history
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: of the month, history of the month.
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: I am.
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: I'm very concerned that I'm sitting there looking at Bama,
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: notorious for not turning the ball over, being minus three turnovers,
- 1:13:28Speaker 6: and it's a dog fight slash cock fight in the
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: fourth quarter. I'm very concerned about this. They could also
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: win thirty eight to ten. But I'm very concerned. I'm
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: very concerned about the game.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: Is that What makes more fun is you can see
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: both things happening.
- 1:13:40Speaker 5: Yeah, what's the upset meter at here?
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: The pucker meter is at six and a half as
- 1:13:45Speaker 6: the game kicks off, give me a six and a half.
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: What time is it kickoff?
- 1:13:49Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not a night game, but it's not an
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: early kick It's going to be happened in the same
- 1:13:54Speaker 6: time that Faul don't lie is at Missouri Vanderbilt, So
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: it's going to be one of those classic hope for
- 1:14:00Speaker 6: good wi Fi at Van Dy so we can keep
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: tabs on both.
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: Games at once. Vanny has decent Wise, they do actually
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: shockingly good WiFi.
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: Ye, shockingly good WiFi. You can get around in that
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: in that statee which is nice, which is nice?
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: No home, did you do? Give me Cal? Really?
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: On principle, Virginia Tech has no business landpoints against anyone.
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: This is a Friday night game. Weird Stuff's been happening
- 1:14:30Speaker 6: on Friday night for a long time now this season,
- 1:14:33Speaker 6: and so I'm gonna take Cal plus four and a
- 1:14:35Speaker 6: half decent shot they win the game out right?
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Where's the game at it's in black spur. Oh, it's in.
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: It's in it's averaging.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll try to process that is.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: No, I'm sitting here thinking like I'm thinking like I
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: can like that pick. I'm thinking I could like that
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: pick if it's in cal That kind of makes me nervous.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Caw playing Minnesota earlier this year beat them.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Mm hmm. Yeah, it's on the football field, that's all.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, the yard.
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: I know I know Minnesota to travel out to go
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: fair enough.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: Also, I know we're by the end of the show. However,
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: it is a little brother week. Michigan is playing Michigan State.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: Were there fourteen and a half right now? I believe
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: so this hat right here bwtv dot com. That's where
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: you can get this hat. We are going to I
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: texted all the people you texted from Alabama, all those titles.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: I texted them as well. I said, this is a game.
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: You're up by twenty one, you score again, and you
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: go for two like that is this type of game.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: So I'm taking Michigan responsibly to cover fourteen and a half.
- 1:15:32Speaker 4: Surprise you to put him in the parlay.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: I was going to put them in the parlay you
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: put Nebraska in the parlay, and I thought it would
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: be unfair to the fans for both of our fandom
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: to take over that parlay.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: That's true, So I took.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: Mine away because I was with you yesterday during all
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: those conversations, and I thought, let me support, let me
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: remove my fandom. Say that at the end of the show,
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: move on. But I will be taking Michigan minus fourteen
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: and a half.
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: That's the difference between an amateur and a professional.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Thank you, Yeah, and I will. This is a Bryce
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Underwood in the air game Michigan say it does not
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: do well against the run. They know that, Michigan knows
- 1:16:09Speaker 2: that they will bring everybody down in that box. Bryce
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Underwood will have a Oh that that's the player we've
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: wanted to see. This is everything gearing up the last
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: week in November. Game yes three, Yes, the first one.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: It would be the only way I don't see that
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: happening other than all the other ways would be they're out,
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: they're done halfway through.
- 1:16:34Speaker 4: But there's only one way you don't see it happening.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: That The only way I don't see it happening in
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: this game is it's you know, six minutes left in
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: the third quarter. We're pulling guys, but it's a rivalry game.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: Crazy things can happen. Bryce Underwood, Donovan mccoley, Smage Morgan,
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: Andrew marsh We're getting a tight ends back. Let's have
