- 0:05I've waited a long time to tell my personal paranormal stories
- 0:09or experiences, but by doing so now I want to convey to people
- 0:14that these things exist and they really do affect people of all
- 0:19walks of life. Following stories took place
- 0:22between 2002 and 2007. I have several experiences that
- 0:34occurred after these, but I'll share those in a different video
- 0:38and at another time. I consider these to be my
- 0:42formative experiences and these events helped shape my views on
- 0:46the paranormal in the world. I've also asked my family
- 0:51members for their perspectives as well to coincide with what I
- 0:55remember. So with that all being said, I
- 0:59started life out in a city called Derby here in Kansas.
- 1:03I was about nine years old when the first happenings began.
- 1:07My family consisted of my mom and dad, myself, my younger
- 1:12sister and brother moving from Meadowlark Place to another
- 1:17neighborhood. We had moved across town from
- 1:20one house to another. This one was a duplex style
- 1:24house on Willow Street not too far from my grandparents house,
- 1:29about two blocks over or so, which was really nice to be able
- 1:33to ride my bike back and forth and play with my cousin and see
- 1:37them all. And you know that good stuff.
- 1:40Things up until this point had been semi normal.
- 1:44Life ebbs and flows and my parents relationship certainly
- 1:47had its share of ups and downs, but we all looked forward to
- 1:51this new chapter in our lives once we were finally moved in.
- 1:56From the first night we stayed overnight at the house, I began
- 1:59to experience things that I still can't explain.
- 2:04That first night as I laid in my room asleep, all of a sudden
- 2:08something poked or pushed my arm.
- 2:12Now my sister had her own room across the hall from me and my
- 2:16brother was small enough to still be sleeping with my
- 2:18parents the majority of the time.
- 2:21So initially thinking it was one of them I opened my eyes.
- 2:26But when I did this, I saw a little boy, but it wasn't anyone
- 2:31that I recognized. And aside from this, the child
- 2:35looked very strange. He was like a pale glowing blue
- 2:40color and didn't move when I noticed him.
- 2:44He just kept staring at me with these fully white, blank,
- 2:50lifeless eyes. When I finally came to my senses
- 2:54that this wasn't a normal experience, I began to get
- 2:58scared. So terrified out of my mind and
- 3:03not sure of what else to do, I got up and out of my bed and ran
- 3:08past this entity as fast as I could.
- 3:11The noise would wake my parents up, They would then talk to me
- 3:14and follow me back to my bedroom, but upon arriving it
- 3:19would see no one. Thinking that I was just having
- 3:23a nightmare or my imagination was running wild in a new
- 3:26environment, they'd let me sleep on the couch in the living room.
- 3:31I would proceed to sleep there for the next couple weeks until
- 3:34they would ultimately force me back into my bedroom.
- 3:38Following seeing the child about four months or so into living at
- 3:43the house, things took a darker turn and whatever presence that
- 3:47was within the house seemed to be making things worse.
- 3:52The activity had been becoming more noticeable.
- 3:56Drip by drip we would occasionally hear knocking on
- 4:00the walls what sounded like items breaking with there only
- 4:04to be no one there and no items broken.
- 4:08We had all also began to notice. That we felt as if we were.
- 4:11Being watched at all times. I for one distinctly remember my
- 4:16anxiety becoming extremely bad at this time, making it
- 4:20difficult for me to sleep and when I did manage to go
- 4:24unconscious I would have horrible dreams and in these
- 4:28dreams I was being chased by some abhorrent creature and
- 4:32usually in the basement I would always be too scared to look
- 4:36back and I would be in fight or flight.
- 4:40I would often times wake up dripping in sweat just as the
- 4:43creature was about to catch me on the stairs.
- 4:47My mom who had a tendency to hoard things and this had always
- 4:52been an issue even at our previous homes, but living here
- 4:56she seemed to have this behavior greatly intensified.
- 5:00It had been bad before, but it began to reach an entirely new
- 5:03level and in a short period of time.
- 5:07What I mean by this is cluttering to the point of
- 5:10almost non movement in our basement, our rooms and our
- 5:15garage and it became a major problem.
- 5:18Boxes, trash and junk of all kinds was what it was mostly.
- 5:24And on top of this she began to impulse buy multiple animals in
- 5:29rapid secession either buy or acquire from someone who was
- 5:34giving them away. The trash, hoarding and animals
- 5:39weren't always being let out when they should have been.
- 5:42Definitely began to strain an already strained and
- 5:45dysfunctional marriage, but it seemed like every aspect of our
- 5:49lives was rapidly being magnified and getting worse all
- 5:54the time with the hoarding, both material and animal, and the
- 5:58daily fighting. The air became even thicker with
- 6:02anxiety. And the thicker the air became,
- 6:05the more activity we seem to experience.
- 6:09The sounds, flickers of things out of the corner of our eyes,
- 6:14the persistent nightmares and the negative environment took
- 6:18its toll on all of us. With my memory not being the
- 6:21greatest and with trauma also involved, I do my best to tell
- 6:26this as chronologically as I can.
- 6:30One day, shortly after these behaviors had been exacerbated,
- 6:34I remember heading to the basement to get a drink from the
- 6:37fridge that we had down in our laundry room.
- 6:40Funnily enough it was an St. cool and a can if any of you
- 6:44guys remember those and I I miss those.
- 6:47Actually those were great. Descending the stairs, getting
- 6:52about halfway down, I saw yet another manifestation that shook
- 6:56me to my core. The view as you were headed down
- 7:00the stairs gave a decent view of the basement, like you could see
- 7:04a good chunk of it. And it was here that I witnessed
- 7:07a large wardrobe box being hurled by something that I
- 7:11couldn't see, an invisible force, and it flew from one end
- 7:16of the basement to the other. The bigger boxes tended to be on
- 7:21the left hand side of our basement near the extra bedroom
- 7:25that we had down there. And in total it had been thrown
- 7:28about 20 to 25 feet. And mind you, this is was a
- 7:32large wardrobe box so it was full of clothes and God knows
- 7:36what else. So it would have.
- 7:38Been quite the feat to to throw even if you were a person, let
- 7:42alone you know something out of my scope of understanding.
- 7:47So unable to make rational sense of what I just witnessed.
- 7:51This had scared me so bad that I ran upstairs and I would refuse
- 7:55to ever go back down there without company ever again.
- 7:59In time I would find out that I wasn't the only one to have
- 8:02witnessed something strange originating from there.
- 8:06My father and cousin believed that there was something there
- 8:09too, that there was some kind of presence within the house.
- 8:14I don't know all the details of my dad's story, but I do know
- 8:18while he was sleeping in the spare bedroom down there, while
- 8:21him and my mom were particularly on the rocks, that he began to
- 8:24hear voices. Like distant whispers that grew
- 8:28louder night after night. These voices seem to originate
- 8:32from nowhere, but yet they were everywhere.
- 8:36They Wood Forest him to question his own sanity, and it's
- 8:40important to note here that my dad isn't schizophrenic or
- 8:43anything of the sort, and he hasn't experienced anything even
- 8:47similar before this or after this.
- 8:51Not too long after this occurred, my dad had another
- 8:54experience and I'll let him explain it in his own words.
- 8:59Also as a side note here, you know my my dad's not a
- 9:02professional storyteller, Neither is my cousin.
- 9:06So definitely take it easy on them because they're just
- 9:09recounting their experiences. Thanks.
- 9:14We moved into a new home in 2002 and I was on the other side of
- 9:22town. So you kids had to change school
- 9:24and all that. And this is like basically a
- 9:26last ish effort for your mother and I to try to save our
- 9:29marriage. And so it was just some, you
- 9:31know, you know, the whole story on that part.
- 9:33And we moved in inside the house.
- 9:36I had started to experience a, a dark presence inside the home,
- 9:41something I didn't understand what was going on.
- 9:43It made me angry. I was starting to fill it with
- 9:47this rage. I was just mad.
- 9:49And the, the situation, your mother and I was deteriorating
- 9:51to the point where, you know, I just didn't want to be around
- 9:53her. I think that it caused an
- 9:55adversarial problem within the home.
- 9:58I remember one night, early morning, I'm trying to remember
- 10:03the details get a bit fuzzy now about when I was in the
- 10:07bathroom. That one was right off the
- 10:08hallway, right across down from your room.
- 10:11There's a coat closet right? Directly across Cross.
- 10:13You remember Kelly's room was at the end And I was looking in the
- 10:18mirror, right? Rinsed off my face.
- 10:20Your mother and I had quite the argument earlier.
- 10:24And I was so full of anger. I went to wash my face and I see
- 10:29something that flashes in my face I can still remember to
- 10:32this day is like it lit up, like the mirror lit up from behind,
- 10:34which is impossible because you know, the lights were off in the
- 10:37bathrooms that were in night light.
- 10:39And I saw a demonic face and it roared at me and just scared the
- 10:43living bejesus out of me. I just seen things that slowly
- 10:47deteriorate within the home. I know that I've slept
- 10:52downstairs and your mother was sleeping upstairs in your room.
- 10:55And I was just mad all the time. Remember being really nice to
- 10:59you kids. Of course, I never took it out
- 11:00on you necessarily. I just, you know, wasn't happy.
- 11:06And I felt like a dark, malevolent presence was there in
- 11:08the home. And as time went on, you know,
- 11:11your mother moved out and Roy moved in and even him and I were
- 11:15experiencing some issues with the darkness.
- 11:17It just, it was, there's something about the house just
- 11:21felt evil. Something was not right about
- 11:23it. It just, you know, that weird
- 11:24smell that we'd smelled would disappear for no reason.
- 11:26That smelled like rotten eggs. He had to be gone.
- 11:29The odd things in the garage, you know, the random noises
- 11:32after we cleaned that garage out, the odd things that would
- 11:34happen all the time. My cousin as well recalled a
- 11:38strange happening that. I had forgot.
- 11:40About to be honest and also had his own experience in the
- 11:44basement, which I'll let him tell in his own words as well.
- 11:50My first impressions of the house were some of what one
- 11:54would usually expect. It was a new house so it was
- 11:58unfamiliar, but at the same time that made it cool.
- 12:04Over the next few years, me and my cousin would spend plenty of
- 12:08days and nights having adventures within and around the
- 12:12confines of that suburban home. But over time, something strange
- 12:18began to emerge behind the wooden panels and carpet,
- 12:22something that I can only describe as evil.
- 12:26I wasn't exactly the bravest sort.
- 12:29My imagination could run wild and would often find a better
- 12:33way of scaring me than anything else ever could.
- 12:36That being said, things within that house happened which went
- 12:41well beyond the machinations of my fearful mind.
- 12:44The first incident occurred during the daytime.
- 12:48We had been playing a game in the living room when we heard
- 12:51Cody's sister scream from the other room.
- 12:55When we ran in to inspect, we found that a snow globe of hers
- 12:59had broken open without an explanation.
- 13:02I remember this clearly because I had always wondered what kind
- 13:06of liquid was inside a snow globe.
- 13:09I smelled a chemical smell in the air that made me think of
- 13:12nail Polish. We set about cleaning up the
- 13:15glass but never really gave it much thought at the time.
- 13:20It is only later that we realized that we never really
- 13:23asked ourselves how exactly did the snow globe break?
- 13:29I would recall sleeping on the living room floor, and in the
- 13:33early hours of the morning I could hear running water and I
- 13:37would catch a glimpse of the shadowy figure of a man
- 13:40wandering in the kitchen near the entrance to the basement.
- 13:45Sometimes I would barely remember these moments, like
- 13:47they were just dreams. Other times I would be
- 13:50completely awake and conscious, but would be just too scared to
- 13:54move. At times I would try to make
- 13:57myself believe that it was just my uncle, and it would make it
- 14:01all the more chilling. But Cody's dad would finally
- 14:04come in and turn the lights on, and I'd know for certain that
- 14:08the figure was not, in fact, him at all.
- 14:11The worst and most sinister of the activity, however, was
- 14:15definitely within the basement of the house.
- 14:18Whether during day or night, I felt like even the corners of
- 14:23the rooms hid watchful eyes. I couldn't stand the dark open
- 14:28doorways leading to my uncle's bedroom and the bathroom.
- 14:33The thought of something lurking in the shadows was impossible to
- 14:37banish from my mind. At times this was so bad that
- 14:41I'd have to cancel sleepovers and call my mom to Take Me Home.
- 14:45The worst of this came during a nightmare I had when I was
- 14:50sleeping in the basement. I found myself alone, the only
- 14:54light coming from ATV in the far corner flickering with static
- 14:59and white noise. I felt called to walk into my
- 15:04uncle's bedroom and rounded the corner to face the sliding doors
- 15:07to his closet. The closet itself was right
- 15:11beneath the stairs. Trembling, I reached to open the
- 15:16mirrored door panel, only for it to slam open of its own will.
- 15:22In the shadows of the room, I saw a hole in the wall which had
- 15:27mysteriously appeared. A hole that, I might add, did
- 15:31not exist. A terrible being emerged from
- 15:35that hole, one which haunts me to this day.
- 15:39It's skin was charred black like carbon.
- 15:43It was large and bulky like a man, but upon its head were two
- 15:49large and vicious horns which were dark as midnight.
- 15:54It's teeth were sharp as knives and yellow with rot.
- 15:59But it's eyes, it's eyes were amber like a predator.
- 16:04It snarled at me and I awoke again in a cold sweat.
- 16:09After that, I don't believe I ever chose to sleep in that
- 16:13basement again. Things would only get worse from
- 16:16here, day after day and night after night.
- 16:20As I had previously mentioned, my mom had purchased a lot of
- 16:24animals. This included cats and dogs.
- 16:28This further added to the filth of the house and the negative
- 16:32atmosphere due to my parents often being depressed and not
- 16:36taking the animals outside as they should have.
- 16:39Long story short, it definitely wasn't an environment that I
- 16:44would ever want my kids to grow up in and that that is something
- 16:48for sure on top of the paranormal that's deeply
- 16:51affected me to this day. So with having dogs and cats as
- 16:55pets, soon out of nowhere we began to have an insane amount
- 17:00of animal deaths occur. We ended up losing a total of 7
- 17:04animals all together within less than two months.
- 17:09What we're perfectly normal, relatively healthy animals would
- 17:13just pass. And I didn't want to put a
- 17:15warning here because I'm going to mention a few details about
- 17:18the animal deaths and I don't want to upset anyone who's
- 17:22sensitive to these kinds of things.
- 17:24So I'll mark the time stamps down in the OR down in the
- 17:28description of the video if you prefer to Fast forward pass
- 17:32this. Again, I don't remember all of
- 17:34the details, but when the animals would pass I I would
- 17:38usually assist my dad in burying them.
- 17:41We tended to bury them out back behind my grandparents house a
- 17:45couple blocks over because they lived next to like a woodland
- 17:49area, like a Creek, and we had an area where we tended to bury
- 17:54our family animals back there. And with that being said, these
- 17:58are some of the deaths that really bothered me.
- 18:02We had one, a younger puppy who was a pit bull who had died in
- 18:06our garage. She'd had a seizure and she had
- 18:10no prior history of issues as far as we knew.
- 18:13We also checked if she could have gotten into something or
- 18:16ate something that she shouldn't have but we couldn't find
- 18:20anything. My cat Kara, who actually would
- 18:23go on to live for another 16 years or so after these events.
- 18:28She was an amazing cat, but during this time she was
- 18:31pregnant and had to have ended up with some kind of an
- 18:35infection and she prematurely lost her kittens.
- 18:40One night after sleeping in the living room, I actually woke up
- 18:43by rolling over and having my face touch one of them and it's
- 18:48tiny body was ice cold. And that alone was super
- 18:54traumatic. And I don't want to necessarily
- 18:57shade my mom but my dad was at work when this happened and I
- 19:04remember her telling me to get rid of them basically.
- 19:07So I had to clean them up. And Long story short, you know,
- 19:12I didn't really know what to do. Obviously, I was a kid, you
- 19:15know, I didn't have the capabilities really to be able
- 19:18to take them over to my grandparents house.
- 19:22So I ended up just putting them in the trash can and I always
- 19:25regretted doing that. There were multiple others, but
- 19:28those in particular always got to me.
- 19:31My parents would end up getting divorced and while this was
- 19:34starting to get underway, I was living with my siblings and my
- 19:38dad. Still at the Willow House.
- 19:41As I previously said, we lived in a duplex and our next door
- 19:44neighbors were a family, a husband, wife, and their three
- 19:48kids. During this turbulent time, the
- 19:51dad of the family next door seemed to have lost his mind.
- 19:55One afternoon, the dad that was our neighbor was sitting with my
- 19:59dad and they were having a few drinks on our shared porch with
- 20:03me sitting with them. I distinctly remember him
- 20:06telling my dad that he needed to talk to him about something
- 20:09serious, so my dad asked me to go inside, to which I obliged so
- 20:14he could talk to him. And what he talked to him about
- 20:18was absolutely insane. He had become extremely
- 20:22paranoid. He believed that his wife was
- 20:25cheating on him. And he asked my dad if he would
- 20:28assist him in helping to kill her and dispose of her body for
- 20:33a sum of money. Even described where he would
- 20:36take her, how it would work. But I don't want to share all
- 20:40those gritty details since you know, YouTube.
- 20:44But it it was shocking. My dad not only was shocked, but
- 20:48he didn't want to add to his paranoia further or risk
- 20:52angering him since he was obviously unhinged.
- 20:55So he calmly refused his offer and I'll let my dad explain some
- 20:59details here. We got to know Mike next door a
- 21:03little bit and he seemed to be an OK guy.
- 21:05And then him and his wife had a brief separation for about a
- 21:10month or three weeks. And I saw her at Target.
- 21:14Her name was Lori. That was her name.
- 21:16She was at Target and she was talking to said hi and all that.
- 21:18And she goes, I said, well, are you going to come up?
- 21:21You might get back together. She's I don't know.
- 21:23I just have no idea. So then later on that night, I
- 21:26was off on a used to be off on Thursdays and Fridays and it was
- 21:29off. It was a Thursday night and I
- 21:31was hanging out with Mike. He's drinking.
- 21:32And then he told me how he was going to kill his wife and he
- 21:37was going to, he gave it in grave detail of how he's going
- 21:40to kill her. And he looked as like he was
- 21:42literally seriously possessed. He looked, it was, it was like
- 21:45full black rage. He was so angry.
- 21:47He's like, I'm going to kill her.
- 21:48I'm going to do it in front of her mother and you know, she's
- 21:51going to watch and then blah, blah, blah.
- 21:53And I was like, my, that's really dark.
- 21:54Why would you want to do something like that?
- 21:56You know, I wanted to fill out a police report, but I didn't
- 22:01think maybe that, you know, people would actually take my
- 22:03word on it. I honestly don't know the whole
- 22:05thing there. She did come back or he did come
- 22:07back for briefed. I did talk to her one day.
- 22:10And by then Mike is just just angry all the time.
- 22:13Except he seemed to be nice to her for a few minutes and I'm
- 22:15outside talking to her and she thought, I just don't know.
- 22:19I'm exhausted. I want, you know, this is a
- 22:21honeymoon period before all the abuse and the and the physical
- 22:25abuse starts again. And I was like, he physically
- 22:27abuses you. And she's like, yeah, I said why
- 22:28are you? Why did you come back?
- 22:30She said she did it for the boys.
- 22:32He pulled up in his car when his side he come out starts
- 22:35screaming at her saying, you know, how dare you sit out here
- 22:36with this guy, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 22:38And by then he knew we were we were, you know, running out of a
- 22:40couple and he started screaming at her and telling, you know,
- 22:43how dare you talk to other man, you know, And then I he dragged
- 22:46her inside to slam the door. And then she did permanently
- 22:49move out right before we moved and he would hide in his garage.
- 22:54You could hear him in there and banging around and it was just,
- 22:58it was just a real weird situation.
- 22:59We'd see him for a few seconds, he'd come inside, slam this door
- 23:01real hard and you could hear him yelling inside the house and
- 23:04there was nobody in there. It was just like is crazy.
- 23:07I don't know what happened. We moved.
- 23:10When we moved out, things got considerably, much better.
- 23:13It took a little bit for the darkness to completely get out
- 23:15of me, but it was a lot of things.
- 23:18You kids saw a lot of things, scary things, bad dreams.
- 23:21It was a lot. After this happened, roughly,
- 23:24I'd say a month or so after he actually got arrested for
- 23:27attempting to hire a hitman to kill his wife.
- 23:31So whether all of that was related to the dark presence in
- 23:33the house or not, I can't quite say, but it very much could have
- 23:38been. I mean prior to that
- 23:40conversation he seemed totally normal and hadn't acted that way
- 23:43before so it's hard telling. The paranormal activity by this
- 23:49time on on our side had become so violent that we all began to
- 23:53sleep together in the living room.
- 23:55Unknown to me at the time, I wasn't the only one that would
- 23:58have this happen, but it seemed like for whatever reason I would
- 24:03always be woke up around 3:00 AM in an absolute state of terror.
- 24:08Things would often be knocking or moving around us.
- 24:12And I remember the time because we had a cable box that
- 24:14displayed the time in our living room next to our TV.
- 24:18And to kind of help counteract the scariness, I guess of the
- 24:22environment of the situation. We would usually play like the
- 24:27Boomerang Network, the for cartoons.
- 24:30I think we had like dish TV at the time or something, but it
- 24:34was usually on at that time. After waking up, I would be so
- 24:39scared that I'd be afraid to breathe because it felt like
- 24:43hell itself was descending upon me.
- 24:46I would lay my head to the floor and could hear additional bangs
- 24:50and often times what sounded like glass breaking in the
- 24:53basement. Below are things being thrown or
- 24:56destroyed or mangled. If I managed to gather myself I
- 25:01would try to wake up anybody that I could, either my dad or
- 25:05my brother or my sister, but I could never manage to do so was
- 25:10if they were in some kind of a coma state.
- 25:14I also knew I wasn't dreaming because I would often times stay
- 25:17awake until the sun came up, way too scared to try and rest.
- 25:22And most of the time the majority of the banging and the
- 25:25overall noise would cease at dawn.
- 25:29And after talking to my family, I would later find out that this
- 25:32for sure happened to my brother, my sister, and my dad at random
- 25:35times during our our lives there during this particular era.
- 25:42Given all the things we had experienced and been through, it
- 25:46seemed as if whatever presence that dwelled within the house
- 25:50fed off of death and sorrow when the divorce was finalized as
- 25:56kids ended up moving out of the house to live with our mom.
- 26:00Thus closing a very disturbing chapter in our lives.
- 26:04But little did I know, it would just be the beginning of
- 26:07another. Whatever evil that originated
- 26:11from this house seemed to follow or affect us even after we left.
- 26:17What follows is a series of incredibly terrifying and
- 26:20disturbing events as well, and I'll be sharing those in the
- 26:24next video. I did have a couple of questions
- 26:27having dug up the past in regards to what me and my family
- 26:31have experienced and this has led me to seek answers.
- 26:35I've tried going through the past of the area, having lived
- 26:38there near there the majority of my life and I couldn't really
- 26:42find anything that could have directly caused the haunting as
- 26:47far as tragic events or what have you historic events.
- 26:52The area does contain old Indian burial grounds, but it's nearly
- 26:56impossible to figure out where exactly those would be.
- 27:00The home, or rather the duplex if I were to guess from the
- 27:04dated wood paneling and the carpet at the time, was probably
- 27:07built in the 1960s or 70s. It was a rental, so it's also
- 27:13impossible to find out who the past tenants were or the
- 27:17previous owners. I don't know exactly who owns
- 27:20the property now and I think it's transferred hands or
- 27:23companies multiple times. I am just curious who has lived
- 27:27there in the past and what they maybe could have been into.
- 27:31Whether it was some kind of occultism or luciferianism if it
- 27:36could have contributed to what was there.
- 27:39Now let's say that no one was involved in anything dark or
- 27:42magic related that could have conjured something up.
- 27:46These entities, in my opinion, lurk around us and are attracted
- 27:50to negativity. Like moths to a flame, they seem
- 27:55to feed off of our emotions like spiritual ticks or vampires.
- 28:02I also have heard and can somewhat confirm given my life
- 28:05that hoarding and overall not taking care of your environment
- 28:09or self by extension your family can potentially be a breeding
- 28:14ground for these things as well. This is just speculation on my
- 28:18part to try and make sense of what we endured over the couple
- 28:21years that we lived there. At the house.
- 28:24I do often times end up driving past it, especially headed back
- 28:28home from the gym at night because I live in a town that's
- 28:32relatively close to to where this all took place and it still
- 28:36has a very eerie vibe to me. But there are people who
- 28:40currently live there, and over the years there's been a
- 28:43revolving door of people who have lived there.
- 28:46And I'm just curious if the past or current residents have
- 28:49experienced anything paranormal like we did, or if we were
- 28:54haunted instead of the house, or by having lived in the house and
- 28:58have had been followed as a result, that maybe the house
- 29:02wasn't haunted anymore. Lots of questions that perhaps
- 29:06I'll never have answers to. But these things did happen.
- 29:10They did fundamentally change me, and they helped shape my
- 29:14interest in the paranormal and the spiritual world as a whole.
- 29:19I'll be diving more so into why I started Mystery Archives on
- 29:23Part 2, and in Part 2 I'll be telling what took place after we
- 29:28left the Willow House. I have a few.
- 29:31Experiences post what I'll talk about in Part 2, so maybe
- 29:35they'll be a part three. I'm honestly not sure yet.
- 29:39I did also speak with my mom and my sister and they didn't want
- 29:43to be included in this video for their own reasons and I totally
- 29:46respect that. My little brother has some
- 29:49experiences but those will be relayed in Part 2 at the next
- 29:54home that we ended up at because although he may have had some
- 29:57experiences, he doesn't recall because he was like a between
- 30:02ages two and four when all this took place at the Willow House.
- 30:07I know I tease the stories a lot and overall I hope you guys
- 30:10enjoyed hearing about what I've experienced.
- 30:14If you have any questions, I'd love to read and answer them in
- 30:17the comments below. There are definitely a lot of
- 30:19details that I don't remember, whether I've blocked them out or
- 30:23it's just too fuzzy with time, and for that I apologize, but I
- 30:28will do my best to answer your questions and respond to your
- 30:30comments. Another interesting fact about
- 30:33this story of mine in particular this era as I like to call them,
- 30:39I kind of categorized them in that way.
- 30:41I guess in my own mind is that it was going to be on the first
- 30:44season of a popular paranormal Netflix series, but they pulled
- 30:49my opportunity last minute because I apparently wasn't
- 30:53diverse enough, whatever that means.
- 30:56Then they called me for season 2 and then just stopped responding
- 31:00to me after I said I wanted to mention Mystery Archives and
- 31:04apparently they weren't cool with that.
- 31:06But it is what it is. It's a good show, but it just,
- 31:10I've come to this conviction quite some time ago, having
- 31:13dealt with a lot of really good and a lot of really bad people
- 31:16just kind of in the paranormal sphere.
- 31:18And you can't always trust people, unfortunately.
- 31:23Sometimes they're just in it for themselves or the money or what
- 31:28have you, especially these days. So that unfortunately was one of
- 31:33those experiences that kind of negatively reinforced how I
- 31:36felt. But with that being said, please
- 31:40leave the video a like if you liked it, subscribe with
- 31:42notifications if you haven't already.
- 31:45And please share this video around to help us reach as many
- 31:48people as we possibly can. Maybe we can not only help reach
- 31:51someone who's had a similar experience, who maybe wants to
- 31:54also share their story, but it also helps keep me going since
- 31:59for whatever reason views have been down, they've been at like
- 32:02an all time low really. But regardless of that, you
- 32:06know, regardless of how well the video does, it's been very
- 32:09cathartic for me to talk about these things and to tell my
- 32:12stories to such an incredible group of people.
- 32:15That is the Mystery Archives community.
- 32:18Also, if I think for my own sake to be able to kind of, I guess,
- 32:22more or less come to terms with digging up the past and kind of
- 32:26trying to categorize everything chronologically and remember
- 32:30everything that took place. It's kind of why I'm breaking it
- 32:34up into parts and to try to do my own stories justice.
- 32:39So I hope you guys understand. Anyways, I love you guys.
- 32:43Thank you for not only showing interest in my experiences, but
- 32:46supporting me and all of the cases that I've covered thus
- 32:50far. I did want to let you guys know
- 32:52that especially towards the end of this video, I do kind of go
- 32:57on a bit of a long explanation that is pretty much just going
- 33:02to be entirely raw. And it's it involves a lot of
- 33:06personal details and things from my life that I just kind of
- 33:10wanted to get out there. And I hope overall you enjoy the
- 33:14video and the stories and just the content as a whole.
- 33:17Thank you guys. Around age 10, after my parents
- 33:26got divorced, I moved to the small town of Sedgwick, Kansas,
- 33:30about 40 minutes or so away from Derby, going from roughly a
- 33:34population of 20,000 people to about 1800.
- 33:39Me, my mom, brother and sister moved in with my newlywed aunt
- 33:45and her husband Bill, my uncle. We lived in a large farm style
- 33:51house that was over 100 years old and time would tell that
- 33:55perhaps we weren't the only inhabitants that dwelled within
- 33:59its walls. Within a matter of weeks,
- 34:02strange things began to happen. My first experience that I can
- 34:06recall at this location was when one night I was headed up the
- 34:11stairs to use the restroom. And for context, here was the
- 34:15layout of the house. The stairs leading up to the
- 34:18upstairs was basically AT shape and when reaching the top of the
- 34:22stairs there was my aunt and uncle's room on the far left, an
- 34:27office room, and the bathroom on the right hand side closest to
- 34:31the stairs. I was heading up and got about
- 34:34halfway up the stairs when I saw a glowing bluish figure of a man
- 34:40run from the bedroom, straight into the bathroom and then
- 34:44disappear. Seeing this happen so fast, I
- 34:47fell backwards and down the stairs.
- 34:51This frightened the hell out of me, and as embarrassing as it is
- 34:54to say now, I refused to use the bathroom for about a week,
- 34:59opting to use a friend's house or go outside instead, not
- 35:04wanting to go anywhere near where I'd seen this person.
- 35:08The following day after seeing the man, I told my mom and my
- 35:12aunt what I had seen and to their credit they're fairly open
- 35:16minded when it comes to the paranormal.
- 35:18My aunt, especially my mom as much as I love her, tends to try
- 35:24and rationalize almost to the point of denial with a lot of
- 35:27things explaining what this man looked like.
- 35:31I remembered him having dusty looking hair and that he was
- 35:34wearing overalls. My aunt then decided to show me
- 35:38some of my uncle's old family photos.
- 35:41Several photos in she showed me what appeared to be one of a
- 35:44family reunion with probably 20 or so people in it.
- 35:49There towards the back, standing in the middle, was the same
- 35:53exact man that I had seen just the night before.
- 35:57What makes this stranger is that when I pointed this out, she
- 36:01went and talked to my uncle, and it turns out that the person I
- 36:05identified was his father. And even weirder, his father had
- 36:10died of brain cancer in the very same room that they now called
- 36:15their bedroom. The same room directly across
- 36:18from the bathroom. It's important to note that I
- 36:21didn't know this man. I didn't even really know my
- 36:24uncle, to be honest, and definitely not his family.
- 36:29And I hadn't seen any family photos prior to this of his
- 36:33family. As strange as this event was, it
- 36:36would only progress from here. My grandmother, who had been
- 36:40living with us in the last days of her life, had passed away
- 36:44just a few months before all of these strange things started
- 36:47happening. The paranormal happenings would
- 36:50greatly intensify after she passed.
- 36:54My aunt, uncle, and mom were usually gone.
- 36:58Typically they were either at work or running errands or both,
- 37:03leaving us kids to ourselves for a good chunk of the time.
- 37:07I did also want to mention here that if you hear a dog panting,
- 37:11it's storming outside right now. And Luna, my half Husky, half
- 37:16Great Pyrenees does not do very good with storms.
- 37:20So she's actually right at my side and I'm giving her some
- 37:23lovies while I inherit rate to you guys.
- 37:25So with us usually being alone we would rely on each other,
- 37:30especially in the evenings. It was mostly up to me being the
- 37:34oldest to make sure that everyone had had dinner, they
- 37:37had showered, and we were all ready to go to bed.
- 37:41Showering was unnerving because the basement, like the house,
- 37:46was just so creepy. The only working shower we had
- 37:51was in the basement laundry room and the shower was made of
- 37:55cracked concrete and had an old spigot style shower head.
- 38:00Looking up you could see the cobwebs and the planks overhead.
- 38:04The kitchen would have been directly above where the shower
- 38:07was. Her context.
- 38:09My aunt, similar to my mom, was also a hoarder.
- 38:13So the basement, aside from a small cleared path, was packed
- 38:17with junk and boxes adjacent to where the shower was located, or
- 38:22rather the room. There was an old cannery in the
- 38:26back of the basement that had long since been abandoned, still
- 38:30having piles of old cans stored within the walls of the small
- 38:33room in the back of the basement.
- 38:36So already being scary to us kids on its own, it would become
- 38:40even more terrifying in the coming months following my
- 38:43grandma's passing. We would often go in pairs with
- 38:47the odd person out staying upstairs.
- 38:50One of us would shower and the other would stand outside the
- 38:53door to talk to the other. To make each other less scared.
- 38:58We also often played an old boombox stereo with whatever C
- 39:02DS we had. This usually would help keep us
- 39:05calm while we did what we needed to do.
- 39:08We would often talk about what had happened that day at school
- 39:11and what was going on with our lives at the time.
- 39:14One night though, that's burned into my memory with my little
- 39:19brother upstairs watching something, I kept watch outside
- 39:23the door while my sister showered.
- 39:25Keely had only been in the shower a few minutes when
- 39:28suddenly the power went out. What made it worse was that the
- 39:32stereo that had been playing faded into this eerie low octave
- 39:38as it shut down from the lack of power.
- 39:41My sister, who was already terrified due to the sheer pitch
- 39:44blackness of the room, began to freak out, trying to be the
- 39:49older brother and trying to keep the peace.
- 39:52As I heard my sister and my brother scream, I tried to talk
- 39:56them through the situation. I told Kate and my brother to
- 40:00sit still, and I told my sister to quickly rinse off the soap
- 40:04that she had lathered with and to grab her towel and we could
- 40:08both go back upstairs where I'd try to find some candles or
- 40:11something. About the time the words left my
- 40:14mouth, there was a loud scratching noise that came from
- 40:17the wall that separated the laundry.
- 40:19Room. And the basement space where all
- 40:22the boxes were. Not knowing what this was, I
- 40:26began to get incredibly scared as well, because I knew that
- 40:29that wall was concrete, so there couldn't have been an animal in
- 40:33there. Suddenly, the scratching turned
- 40:36into something else. Over the shrill screams of my
- 40:40sister, I heard what I can only describe as a horrible snarling
- 40:45noise. It was something unearthly, as
- 40:50if the vocal cords of a pig and a person had been intertwined
- 40:56while they both screamed. It was downright disturbing.
- 41:02With this, I quickly began to scream as well.
- 41:05My poor sister, in a panic, had ran into me trying to exit.
- 41:10Headed. Towards the stairs out of the
- 41:12laundry room and began clinging to me in pure terror.
- 41:17In the chaos, she would accidentally scratch my back as
- 41:20we both scrambled to get to the stairs.
- 41:23In the darkness or the surge of adrenaline, I tossed her in
- 41:27front of me and both of us ran upstairs as fast as we possibly
- 41:31could. As we got into the living room,
- 41:34my little brother was scared and crying as well.
- 41:38As we approached him, the power came back on, but the lights
- 41:42began to flicker with all three of us still hearing the sounds
- 41:46coming from the basement. It sounded as if whatever it was
- 41:50was coming up from the basement wall and up into the floor below
- 41:54us. It began hitting the floor below
- 41:58us, what would have been the basement ceiling.
- 42:02With all of us scared out of our minds, I grabbed my siblings and
- 42:06took us all out onto the back porch and then into our
- 42:10backyard. We would stay back there for I'd
- 42:13say probably about two hours or so until my mom got back home.
- 42:18And the whole time the lights were flickering inside of the
- 42:22house. There was no storm.
- 42:25Although the house was old, the wiring was not.
- 42:29And although this was traumatic, no doubt this would be far from
- 42:33the end of the experiences for all of us.
- 42:36Our doorbell began to malfunction, so to speak.
- 42:40Growing up in a small town, as kids a lot of us would do what
- 42:43was called Ding Dong ditching when we were bored, where you'd
- 42:47essentially roam around town, run up and knock on someone's
- 42:52door, or ring their doorbell and run off and hide before they
- 42:55answered the door. At first we thought this might
- 42:58have been the case with our doorbell.
- 43:00It would always happen at night and upon opening the door no one
- 43:03would be there, and it's possible that maybe it happened
- 43:06a time or two, but with how many times it began happening pretty
- 43:11much every single night and multiple times a night and us
- 43:14never seeing anyone there or in the bushes or anything, it
- 43:18became really unnerving. My uncle who worked early in the
- 43:22morning finally got tired of dealing with whatever was going
- 43:26on and decided to disconnect the doorbell.
- 43:29And under normal circumstances. This would have worked to be
- 43:32honest, but of course this wasn't a normal situation.
- 43:38Things were silent the first night after he disconnected the
- 43:41doorbell. And then something peculiar
- 43:43happened. Began to ring again.
- 43:47This should have been impossible because it had no power source,
- 43:51the wiring was severed, and it wasn't battery powered.
- 43:56And even if there was some kind of residual power left in it, it
- 44:00would have dissipated in the coming days.
- 44:02I'd think it would continue to ring for months and it seemed to
- 44:07get later and later because before, let's say when the sun
- 44:11would go down, let's say 8:00 or 9:00 PM, maybe even 10:00 PM, it
- 44:15would ring. And as time went on over those
- 44:19few months, began to go off a lot later or earlier in the
- 44:23morning, however you want to look at it, usually around 3:00
- 44:27to 4:00 AM. So I mean when we're all
- 44:30sleeping or trying to sleep if we could.
- 44:33Manage to get to sleep. Then it would essentially
- 44:36disturb that rest and maybe that was part of the motivation of
- 44:41whatever was causing it. I highly doubt that it was kids
- 44:45around this time. Me as well as my siblings, we we
- 44:49weren't really picked on a. Whole lot at this school.
- 44:52I mean, maybe at first, but we weren't like targeted by
- 44:56anybody. And I don't know, it just where
- 44:59we lived was kind of out of the way as well.
- 45:02Like there wasn't a lot of kids that lived around us.
- 45:05So I would be pretty surprised. Like Cedric's not that big of a
- 45:08town, but I would be really surprised if if that somehow
- 45:12played a factor in it. And that's if you take severing
- 45:16the power to it completely out of the equation as well, because
- 45:19it was always the doorbell going off.
- 45:21It wasn't anyone knocking on the door.
- 45:23And yeah, I don't know, Overall, the whole thing is just weird
- 45:27and it was certainly worth mentioning.
- 45:30My mom, similar to how my dad said he felt later following our
- 45:35experiences at the Willow Street house, began to change.
- 45:40She began to become more disconnected and more angry.
- 45:45Less recognizable is the best way that I could put in.
- 45:49There's a lot to this, and I'm certain that not all of it is
- 45:53paranormal by any means, but I do think it was similar enough
- 45:59to how our previous experiences were.
- 46:02To mention any negative behavior in all of us or behaviors, but
- 46:08especially in my mom and my aunt, seemed to be magnified
- 46:11substantially. We would all fight, we'd have
- 46:15outbursts, and generally we all contributed.
- 46:18You know, granted, we were kids, but we all contributed to a
- 46:22negative atmosphere while we lived there, which, you know,
- 46:26although we had been through a lot, wasn't really like us.
- 46:30So for some more context here before I continue to try and
- 46:34make things make as much sense as possible.
- 46:38So my sister was the only one that had a room next to my aunt
- 46:43and uncle, my mom and me, and my younger brother Kaden.
- 46:49We didn't have our own rooms we slept on either.
- 46:54We took turns basically sleeping in a chair or on a couch or on
- 46:59the floor and to try and I guess like carve out my, I mean with
- 47:05me being the oldest, I tried to kind of like carve out my own
- 47:08space. And I also wanted to try and get
- 47:12over my fears. And with that, I began sleeping
- 47:16down in the basement there. I just had this like small
- 47:20little lamp. There were overhead lights, but
- 47:23they, the bulbs were long burned out and I didn't know how to
- 47:26change them and no one else was going to do it for me.
- 47:29So I had essentially tried to clear, clear out the path a
- 47:33little bit more than what was already there.
- 47:35And basically I had a, a small TV down there.
- 47:40I had some blankets I would make what was called what I would
- 47:44call lasagna pallets, where I would just lay a bunch of
- 47:48different blankets down on the floor and just try to make it as
- 47:52comfortable as I could for myself.
- 47:55And eventually also my little brother, like hang out with me
- 47:58down there sometimes and sleep down there with me sometimes.
- 48:03So with this next story, there's definitely two perspectives,
- 48:08right? There's what my brother
- 48:11experienced and there's what I experienced.
- 48:14I'm going to let my brother tell you what his experiences were
- 48:18like and this particular event, and then I'm going to tell my
- 48:23perspective. So I've had many spiritual
- 48:26experiences, many of which I would say are from God, and many
- 48:30of which I would say are literally just from demons.
- 48:33And there is one of those experiences though, from what I
- 48:36would consider to be from the demonic, that has stuck with me
- 48:40more than any other throughout the years.
- 48:43I remember being a kid in our small town house and my brother
- 48:47and I had to share the unfinished basement, which was
- 48:51very creepy. Everyone else had their their
- 48:54rooms, but we just sort of made the most of ours.
- 48:57I would often wake up in the night being very afraid and
- 49:00freaking out because I was afraid of the dark, as a lot of
- 49:03kids are. But there was one night where I
- 49:06woke up in pitch darkness and this experience was not the
- 49:12same. I didn't just feel afraid of the
- 49:14dark, I felt afraid of something in particular.
- 49:17So I bolted out of the blanket for it we'd made, and I peeked
- 49:20my little head over the containers that were stacked on
- 49:23top of one another, and at the back of the basement I saw
- 49:28something that chilled me to the core.
- 49:31My blood just ran cold, and I froze in fear for what felt like
- 49:36forever, but was probably only a few seconds.
- 49:39I saw this beastial, almost translucent yet glowing thing,
- 49:47but what I remember to this day is it's glowing red eyes.
- 49:52And I don't mean glowing as in light, I mean glowing with
- 49:54hatred. It felt like it looked into my
- 49:57soul and it just hated me. It had rage at me, and it
- 50:03instilled in that little kid who was me a great, great sense of
- 50:10fear for entities that are frankly evil and negative.
- 50:16I remember just bolting upstairs and curling up next to my mom
- 50:20like I normally did, but this time I was hoping and praying
- 50:22nothing would come and destroy me.
- 50:25And I know it wasn't just me, because later that night, my
- 50:29brother also had a very harrowing experience.
- 50:34So me and my brother, obviously we as a family didn't have a lot
- 50:39of money and we were trying to entertain ourselves, you know,
- 50:44as best we could. And I thought it would be cool
- 50:47to make a blanket Fort down where, you know, our makeshift
- 50:53room was. So I went ahead and took a bunch
- 50:57of pillows and blankets, all the ones that we had at our disposal
- 51:02and built a Fort out of it. Well, we decided to essentially
- 51:07snuggle up in the the Fort and watch the movie Cars, which was
- 51:13kind of like one of our comfort movies, I guess at that time.
- 51:17So I, what I remember is essentially getting into the
- 51:22Ford, you know, getting out of the blankets, getting comfy, and
- 51:25then we started watching Cars and I fell asleep.
- 51:30I remember waking up and my brother was gone and I was like,
- 51:34oh, you know, maybe he got scared or prefer to sleep with
- 51:40my mom or whatever. You know, I didn't think of it
- 51:42much of it at first, where the way that I'd had it designed was
- 51:48I had draped blankets across various boxes that kind of led
- 51:53down the path that was like towards where the.
- 51:56Cannery was at. Where you could like kind of
- 51:59like crawl in and out of basically, it's kind of hard to
- 52:02explain without having like a picture, but I don't have a
- 52:05picture of it. Anyways, Long story short,
- 52:09towards the end of that, what would have been the entrance,
- 52:12but with me being up by the TVI was like all the way into the
- 52:16Fort, I began to hear like a rustling sound and I was like,
- 52:19huh? So I remember my eyes darting
- 52:23kind of towards that general direction.
- 52:26And then I watched as essentially each blanket that
- 52:31created this like hallway or tunnel, however you want to put
- 52:35it to where I was at, began to collapse.
- 52:39As if something had like hit it from the top or had been
- 52:44underneath it and pulled it down.
- 52:46And it kept doing it until it got to me.
- 52:49And obviously my heart was thumping pretty much out of my
- 52:54chest at that point. And I remember being thrown
- 52:57backwards and my eyes rolled back into my head.
- 53:04And I don't have epilepsy, my sister actually does, but I
- 53:09have, I've never had any types of seizures or anything like
- 53:13that. But I remember being so
- 53:17terrified I was completely. Aware of what was going on and.
- 53:23At that time I, I was still pretty Catholic, I would say.
- 53:28And I remember just crying out to God to help me, to free me
- 53:33from whatever this thing was because I was my body, although
- 53:39I was present, I was not in control of.
- 53:43And it, it scared me so, so bad. And whenever this thing finally
- 53:50released its grip on me, I remember running, obviously
- 53:55running up and out of the basement and to where my mom
- 53:59was. And I was hysterical.
- 54:04I didn't really stay down there. I can't even recall ever really
- 54:08going back down there after that point, unless it was to shower,
- 54:13of course. But like I, I stopped spending
- 54:15time down there. It wasn't my little like space
- 54:19where I could just feel like it was my own anymore.
- 54:23It had essentially been violated.
- 54:26Those are definitely the major paranormal things that I'd say I
- 54:31experienced at the Sedgwick House.
- 54:35Sedgwick, like a lot of places I visited as an adult.
- 54:39Point Pleasant, WV, where the majority of the Mothman activity
- 54:45was said to have taken place. It's kind of like one of those
- 54:49places where it almost feels like you're in a dreamlike state
- 54:53when you're there. Cedric felt a lot like that to
- 54:56me. And the way that I have come to
- 55:01kind of categorize these places is it's a place where the veil
- 55:07between our world and the next, or however you want to put it,
- 55:13seems to be thinner than in other places.
- 55:17And I think that there is a lot of different places where this
- 55:22is the case. And perhaps this is what leads
- 55:25to intensified paranormal or spiritual or even Cryptid
- 55:31activity, just points of high strangeness in general.
- 55:37In due time, we would finally get our own place to live.
- 55:42That was in 2007. We ended up moving into a
- 55:47Section 8 neighborhood in a neighboring city.
- 55:51We were there for not quite two years.
- 55:55Thankfully nothing took place there as far as the paranormal
- 55:59from what I can recall. There was a lot of other stuff
- 56:02that happened, like my mom had an abusive boyfriend that broke
- 56:07back into our house after being kicked out and I had to
- 56:12essentially fight him off at the age of 11, 11, borderline going
- 56:17on 12. And I remember holding a knife
- 56:20to him in our kitchen. Obviously, I'm, I'm a big guy.
- 56:24I was a big kid and this, this dude couldn't have been any
- 56:27bigger from what I remember them like 5-5 or five, six.
- 56:31But yeah, just a lot of a lot of crazy stuff.
- 56:35My mom then had another boyfriend.
- 56:37And this is kind of what ended our time there in the Section 8
- 56:41housing was even though my mom paid a prorated rate for rent,
- 56:46we ended up eventually getting evicted because this dude
- 56:51essentially stole our rent money and stole my camera, which was
- 56:57actually the last thing that my grandma Agnes had got me.
- 57:02And actually, sorry, this is all super out of pocket and just me
- 57:07being raw and just real with you guys.
- 57:10It was with that camera that I really started to get interested
- 57:14and not only filming, but just like producing content in
- 57:17general. I used to be really into like
- 57:20claymation and storytelling, even concocting my own movies I
- 57:25guess with like video games like Soul Calibur was a was one that
- 57:30I would write whole storylines to.
- 57:32And Long story short, it was a very important item to me for a
- 57:37variety of reasons, but also because it was the last thing my
- 57:40grandma got me before she passed away and this dude ended up
- 57:43stealing it. He also stole our rent money
- 57:47which got us evicted and we ended up being homeless in a van
- 57:52for several months during the summer.
- 57:55This would have been summer of 2008, so I would have been about
- 58:0012 at this time, if not pretty close to 12, like I said, at 11,
- 58:04going on 12. And ultimately, my dad would get
- 58:09custody of me and I would end up living with him and moving on
- 58:14with my life. I'm on good terms.
- 58:16I'd say probably Gray terms with my parents now.
- 58:20And no one's perfect, you know, let's be honest.
- 58:23We make mistakes. You know, no one necessarily
- 58:26wants their kids to grow up in a dysfunctional house, let alone
- 58:30dysfunctional house or houses that are afflicted with the
- 58:34paranormal. And I oftentimes wonder if
- 58:38trauma can attract the paranormal, can attract
- 58:42darkness. I certainly know that it can be
- 58:45exacerbated by the paranormal, but I wonder if it also
- 58:50essentially attracts beings that feed on that fear and that
- 58:55sadness. I mentioned that my grandma
- 58:58passed away in the house she had been living with us for several
- 59:03months. I want to say like. 4:00 to
- 59:066:00. Months where we lived, there is
- 59:09an old folks home that's like, I mean not even a block away.
- 59:13Like you, we used to be able to cut through this little field
- 59:16through our backyard and you would be at the old folks home.
- 59:19Well my grandma was living there for a time and then like her
- 59:24main care person was there and she had to get AI think it was a
- 59:28triple or a quadruple bypass. It was something crazy and she
- 59:32ended up staying with us while she recovered.
- 59:35And I'll never forget the day actually.
- 59:38So the day was January 25th of 2005 when she passed away.
- 59:45And I remember this because I was homesick with I think I had
- 59:50strep throat at that time. Not a fun time.
- 59:53This is also weird and just really personal, but the movie
- 59:56Alien versus Predator had come out at that time, so I remember.
- 1:00:02That was the release date of that movie on DVD.
- 1:00:05I had gone to Walgreens with my mom to pick up my prescription
- 1:00:09to treat my strep throat. You know, I was like, hey, mom,
- 1:00:12you know, can I get this? Yeah, sure.
- 1:00:13So she gets me the DVD. I was starting to watch the
- 1:00:17movie in our living room, You know, just.
- 1:00:20I couldn't really do anything. And a.
- 1:00:22Rule A rule. Of us being sick was that you
- 1:00:24know, like we couldn't really play like video games or be on
- 1:00:27the computer or anything like that.
- 1:00:29So I was just trying to make the best of it.
- 1:00:31You know, I taking my medicine and I was starting to watch this
- 1:00:33movie. Essentially, my grandma started
- 1:00:36going into because she had diabetes as well as other health
- 1:00:40ailments. She started going into diabetic
- 1:00:43shock. So I remember being with my aunt
- 1:00:47and my mom. They asked me to please go try
- 1:00:51and get her care provider over at the old folks home.
- 1:00:55So I ran over there, couldn't find the person there paging her
- 1:00:59so I ran back to tell them what was going on and that basically
- 1:01:03she would be there as soon as she could.
- 1:01:06And I remember my grandma. I'll say I'll save a lot of the,
- 1:01:11the really gritty details, but basically I ended up holding her
- 1:01:16hand while she passed away. Also not really relevant, I
- 1:01:20guess to to the stories themselves, but more more so
- 1:01:23relevant to my life. I had also seen her husband, my
- 1:01:28mom's dad, pass away in 2002. Yeah, I held her hand while she
- 1:01:33passed away. And I really think that that
- 1:01:35fundamentally changes someone when they actually watch someone
- 1:01:39like in their eyes die. I with that being said, that
- 1:01:44really made me question a lot. That really made me question God
- 1:01:48and why I would be put in a position where that where I'd
- 1:01:52have to witness that a lot of things.
- 1:01:55I was really angry about it for a long, long time and I had a
- 1:01:59lot of dreams about her. And it definitely even now is
- 1:02:04still some major trauma that I think I've mostly processed, but
- 1:02:09with not only dealing with all of the dysfunction and filth.
- 1:02:15And then you stack the paranormal on top of that, as
- 1:02:19well as the trauma not only of my parents getting divorced, but
- 1:02:23also literally watching my my grandma die.
- 1:02:28I mean, from the time she passed just to kind of again for
- 1:02:31context, when we knew for sure she was passed or she had passed
- 1:02:37rather. I mean, I was there even when
- 1:02:40they came and like loaded her up like in a body bag.
- 1:02:44Like it, it was really messed up for sure.
- 1:02:48When you couple all those things together, I think that it really
- 1:02:54made me not only question everything, but question why
- 1:02:58these things happen and just what is the paranormal, why
- 1:03:03these things exist. I wanted to know more about
- 1:03:06whatever these things were. And in a sense, I don't know if
- 1:03:13I noticed it at the time as a kid, but throughout high school
- 1:03:17and then as I became an adult, I had always maintained an
- 1:03:21interest in the paranormal. And I believe that it became
- 1:03:26kind of a calling for me. Another thing to mention too,
- 1:03:29since I'm just offloading everything here, I had grown up,
- 1:03:33my mom's dad actually, Paul, he had introduced me to like
- 1:03:38Unsolved Mysteries and The X-Files.
- 1:03:42And he actually had worked at Area 51 as an aerospace engineer
- 1:03:49in the Air Force. Long story short, there's we've
- 1:03:53got family stories from that too.
- 1:03:55It's it's a whole thing, but I always gravitated more towards
- 1:04:01like the mysterious and the supernatural type entertainment.
- 1:04:06And I don't know, I just one thing led to another.
- 1:04:11You know, I had a couple experiences in the house that I
- 1:04:14moved into with my dad, which he actually ended up moving out.
- 1:04:19And as an adult, I lived there for I want to say another couple
- 1:04:23years, like two years or so after he moved out, two or three
- 1:04:27years. And I can get into those as
- 1:04:30well. But I figured I would try and
- 1:04:33explain kind of what it inspired, Mystery archives, so
- 1:04:36to speak. So I remember it being 2016 and
- 1:04:42I was kind of still trying to find myself.
- 1:04:46I've been involved in music and things like that.
- 1:04:48And when those things don't work out, you kind of try to find
- 1:04:51something to do on your own. You know, I want to say into
- 1:04:562017, this was kind of back when YouTube was still, they still
- 1:05:01allowed like a lot of like conspiratorial and that type of
- 1:05:04content on the platform. And I remember kind of stumbling
- 1:05:08across that. And I was like, you know, I've,
- 1:05:10it's not that I necessarily believe a bunch of conspiracies
- 1:05:14per SE, but I was like, you know, I could really see myself
- 1:05:18getting into something like this and just kind of like getting
- 1:05:20into like mysteries, you know, because I really enjoyed
- 1:05:24learning about different topics and deep diving and, and all of
- 1:05:27that. I didn't really know how to edit
- 1:05:30a whole lot. Like I taught myself how to use
- 1:05:32Sony Vegas and that's all I had at the time.
- 1:05:35This was long before I discovered Adobe Premiere and
- 1:05:38where I'm at today, and I made the account mystery archives.
- 1:05:44The name just kind of came to me.
- 1:05:46I remember I was like trying to come up with a name that hadn't
- 1:05:49been taken, and at that time it hadn't been taken.
- 1:05:53So I was like, OK, yeah, no, that sounds pretty cool.
- 1:05:57I ended up making it and then I made, I didn't have a microphone
- 1:06:02or anything at that time. My computer could barely handle
- 1:06:05me editing anything. And I didn't have any money
- 1:06:10really to speak of. And I ended up making one of
- 1:06:14those text overlay conspiracy videos that's private and
- 1:06:19that'll never see the light of day.
- 1:06:22But after that, I didn't really do anything with it.
- 1:06:27I think I might have, yeah, now that I think about it.
- 1:06:30And it's also privated. I recorded a really intense
- 1:06:36thunderstorm from my upstairs where my computer was at the
- 1:06:39time and was like, you know, I've always loved nature and
- 1:06:43soundscapes and those types of things, which actually goes back
- 1:06:47to my mom when I was quite a bit younger.
- 1:06:50She would play those and they would just relax me and I'd go
- 1:06:53to sleep. I had the had recorded that.
- 1:06:55But other than those two things, I don't think I really took it
- 1:07:00seriously or really developed a concept of what I wanted to do
- 1:07:04with it realistically. Fast forward to 2020 and I got
- 1:07:12first furloughed from my job, which I was at that time I was
- 1:07:17in paint prep for aircraft. So like surfacing, sanding,
- 1:07:23priming, that type of stuff, getting it ready for the final
- 1:07:26coats of paint here in Wichita. And I got furloughed and then
- 1:07:33laid off, obviously with everything that happened, you
- 1:07:36know, with the pandemic and what have you.
- 1:07:38And I remember I was sitting at home and I was so used to just
- 1:07:42working constantly. I mean, like 40 to 60 hour weeks
- 1:07:48all the time. I mean, I tried to basically
- 1:07:50work as hard as I could to try and get ahead for me and Meg,
- 1:07:54you know, I just wanted to forge my own way and be as successful
- 1:07:58as I, I could be, at least in that field.
- 1:08:02So I remember sitting here actually in the same general
- 1:08:06area I'm sitting right now, totally different computer and
- 1:08:09all of that and being like, you know, I have this YouTube
- 1:08:15account and I've never really like done anything with it.
- 1:08:19And I've always really been into these types of shows.
- 1:08:23I've always loved shows like a haunting and unsolved Mysteries
- 1:08:25and all of that. I was like, what if I tried to
- 1:08:31do something like that, but just in my own way.
- 1:08:33I'd always been fascinated by a particular story, which is Stole
- 1:08:38Kansas, which was my first video, which I think I'm going
- 1:08:43to revisit in a later video and just give it an updated version,
- 1:08:48I guess, so to speak. But that was it.
- 1:08:51That was my first video. Editing wise, I didn't really
- 1:08:56know what I was doing, but I was like what is the software all
- 1:08:59the main Youtubers are using? And it was Adobe Premiere and I
- 1:09:04just tried to adapt and learn as fast as I could on the fly.
- 1:09:09I had my cousin draw the church that used to exist there and use
- 1:09:16that as the thumbnail as well as in the video.
- 1:09:19And really from there it was kind of, it was kind of off to
- 1:09:22the races. I think it was either a little
- 1:09:24later in 2020 or 2021, I can't remember exactly.
- 1:09:27But I got my job back. I think it was like 3 or 4, four
- 1:09:31months after I'd gotten laid off.
- 1:09:34I got my job back and went back to paint prep.
- 1:09:38Ended up busting my butt there and becoming what's known as a
- 1:09:42painter one, which is where you paint the final coats of paint
- 1:09:46as well as the stripes on aircraft.
- 1:09:48A whole different process use like instead of like a pot gun
- 1:09:53or a gravity fed paint gun, you use an Electro, still use a
- 1:09:56gravity feed gun, but to paint the coats of paint you would use
- 1:09:59an electrostatic gun. But none of that has anything to
- 1:10:02do with the paranormal or anything like that.
- 1:10:06But basically, I began to work my butt off with with that, what
- 1:10:11with what was my career at the time, and kept doing mystery
- 1:10:15archives and really always hoped that something would take off
- 1:10:22eventually. Not too long after I became a
- 1:10:25painter. I don't know if I want to
- 1:10:26mention it because I don't know what YouTube's terms are or if
- 1:10:31they're still censoring those kinds of things.
- 1:10:34But basically, I got really sick with, you know, what was causing
- 1:10:39the pandemic. And I could have died, to be
- 1:10:44honest. I was in that rare bracket of
- 1:10:46people where I was really, really, really sick.
- 1:10:52Long story short, I ended up getting an infusion and getting
- 1:10:56over being sick. My grandfather, who had always
- 1:11:00taken amazing care of himself, my dad's dad, he ended up
- 1:11:04passing away from the same thing.
- 1:11:08Like we hadn't seen each other or anything in quite some time.
- 1:11:11So had, you know, basically one of us didn't give it to the
- 1:11:14other. It just was around at that time.
- 1:11:17And that was a whole family shake up and a whole entire
- 1:11:23series of life changes that I just didn't see coming.
- 1:11:29And I dealt with all of that. I remember I had almost given up
- 1:11:34several times on making content because it just wasn't really
- 1:11:38going anywhere. I didn't really seem to have an
- 1:11:42audience really, or I wasn't really able to cultivate an
- 1:11:46audience. And I knew that eventually, if I
- 1:11:49got good enough, that if YouTube just saw fit to serve my content
- 1:11:53to people, that eventually, you know, I would go somewhere.
- 1:11:58And I worked another, I want to say, let's see 21, another two
- 1:12:04years or so. And one day my video on
- 1:12:09Helltown, Ohio popped off and then it went viral.
- 1:12:14And, you know, obviously I'm like, wow, you know, maybe, you
- 1:12:18know, this could be it. I didn't want to, you know,
- 1:12:21count my blessings or put all my eggs in one basket, so to speak.
- 1:12:25So I allowed, I basically kept making content and it kept doing
- 1:12:30really, really well. At that time, the algorithm was
- 1:12:32shining upon us. I guess not not as much these
- 1:12:36days, but you know, coming out of nothing to exponential growth
- 1:12:41is it was life changing for sure.
- 1:12:44I eventually got to the point to where I was like, you know, I
- 1:12:48think I'm going to take the leap of faith and for all the right
- 1:12:53tax reasons. I founded my media company,
- 1:12:56which is Cracking Media LLC to handle all the tax stuff of the
- 1:13:01insurance and outs of the Youtubes.
- 1:13:04And I left that job that I'd worked so, so hard to to get to
- 1:13:08where I was at. And obviously, I left on the
- 1:13:10best terms possible, but it's allowed me to live the life that
- 1:13:17I've essentially always dreamed of.
- 1:13:19You know, it's just, I'm so thankful to be able to do this
- 1:13:23for a living. And it's allowed me to be able
- 1:13:28to go and explore places and have experiences that I probably
- 1:13:34wouldn't have been able to have otherwise.
- 1:13:37And especially with views being low and all of that, I am really
- 1:13:41scared of losing that. That's why I try, I guess, to
- 1:13:44market as much as I, I do. And I encourage people obviously
- 1:13:49to, to watch and to share and all of that.
- 1:13:53Because I mean, at the end of the day, it's a gamble.
- 1:13:55You know, like I've worked really hard, I've earned what I
- 1:13:58have, but you know, it's a huge gamble to, you know, make
- 1:14:03content full time. So if you do appreciate what I
- 1:14:07do, you know, definitely just keep, keep coming back.
- 1:14:10That's all I can really say. Obviously everyone who supports
- 1:14:14me via Patreon or YouTube members, you know, I really
- 1:14:17appreciate that as well. At the end of the day, it's,
- 1:14:20it's really just about people wanting to support me and my
- 1:14:24work. With that being said, that's
- 1:14:27it's kind of the back story, I guess so to speak, of how
- 1:14:30Mystery Archives came to be. And it was going to be me and my
- 1:14:34cousin because we've always just worked really, really well
- 1:14:38creatively together. But you know, in the end it just
- 1:14:42ended up being being me. He just got busy with life, you
- 1:14:45know, he got married, he had a kid and he's doing great.
- 1:14:48And I love him to death. I still definitely want to do
- 1:14:50something together with him. Same with my brother, you know,
- 1:14:54now it's just a pretty much a one man project in a sense.
- 1:14:59It is a reflection of me and just kind of my vision of what I
- 1:15:04initially wanted to build. I just didn't know how to build
- 1:15:06it all those years ago. But now we're here and I don't
- 1:15:11know, man. I'm just, I'm thankful to be in
- 1:15:14this position and I'm thankful to have such an incredible
- 1:15:17community. And I'm beyond thankful to have
- 1:15:21people who even care to sit and listen to me ramble and tell my
- 1:15:25stories and just be interested in anything that I do, let
- 1:15:30alone, you know, pay my bills because of it.
- 1:15:33It's, it's incredible. I don't think I want to make a
- 1:15:36Part 3 to my paranormal experiences.
- 1:15:40I think I had mentioned it in in the live a few times or in some
- 1:15:45of the lives I've done a few times where we had some really
- 1:15:49crazy experiences at an Airbnb in Kentucky beginning of this
- 1:15:53year. And I am still planning on doing
- 1:15:56a full board video with that with everyone who was involved.
- 1:16:00It's just kind of been on the back burner for a little bit.
- 1:16:03But before before we go, I would like to mention essentially the
- 1:16:09additional experiences that I had following moving into what
- 1:16:14we call the Millwood House. It was a house on Millwood St.
- 1:16:17here in Wichita, KS. Things with my dad when we lived
- 1:16:21there. My, my dad, I will say, in
- 1:16:23general had a lot of anger issues.
- 1:16:26I think he's doing a lot better now.
- 1:16:29But those didn't necessarily just go away.
- 1:16:33You know, life obviously got better.
- 1:16:35I got my own room. I met a girl that I fell in love
- 1:16:38with at that time, You know, I was in high school.
- 1:16:41Lots of changes were happening at that time.
- 1:16:44But to get into the paranormal experiences, because there's
- 1:16:48really just a couple, thankfully, and they weren't
- 1:16:51nearly as catastrophic or terrifying, I guess, as some of
- 1:16:56the other ones that I've lived through have been.
- 1:16:58So I want to say in 2000, mid 2009 or so, we had a really bad
- 1:17:07thunderstorm. A bunch of people got hail
- 1:17:09damage not only on their cars, but like their houses.
- 1:17:13Our house was a little over 100 years old, had been remodeled,
- 1:17:17but the roof was was older. And we got significant hail
- 1:17:22damage on our roof and had to have our roof replaced.
- 1:17:27So I want to say for like, I want to say like a week or two,
- 1:17:32you know, bunch of my room was upstairs so I could hear
- 1:17:34everything, of course. But a bunch of construction work
- 1:17:37was going on, you know, them repairing and replacing the
- 1:17:40roof. And once that was done, I
- 1:17:43remember actually it was the night that they finished, I was
- 1:17:48asleep on my bed. I remember having basically a
- 1:17:52night terror, which is really, really rare for me.
- 1:17:56And by night terror, I, or maybe that's not the correct
- 1:17:59terminology. I'm not so sure.
- 1:18:01But basically where I woke up and I couldn't move and I
- 1:18:06couldn't breathe. And it, it obviously that's
- 1:18:09terrifying enough and enough itself.
- 1:18:12But then I heard what sounded like, God, it had to have been
- 1:18:16like a chorus of people whispering in my ears, both
- 1:18:21sides, like coming from nowhere and yet everywhere.
- 1:18:25And, you know, I was a bit older at this point.
- 1:18:28I was, you know, 15 going on 16. And I remember it scared me so
- 1:18:33bad that I, I wouldn't sleep in my room for the next like,
- 1:18:39probably like two weeks pretty much until I got sick of
- 1:18:42sleeping on the couch. And I finally kind of like
- 1:18:44convinced myself to go back up there.
- 1:18:48So that that was one of them. As an adult, the girl that I
- 1:18:53dated at that time, that I had been dating since high school
- 1:18:56and then into early adulthood, I believe she developed
- 1:19:01schizophrenia. It ran in her family, but she
- 1:19:05began to develop into a person that I couldn't recognize.
- 1:19:10It wasn't the person that I had been in love with.
- 1:19:13I mean, I remember looking into her eyes and I, I wasn't able to
- 1:19:15recognize her anymore. It got that bad.
- 1:19:19Whether that was related to anything that could have been in
- 1:19:21the house or not, I'm not totally sure.
- 1:19:24But the what I would consider the genuine paranormal
- 1:19:27experiences that followed us breaking up and her moving out,
- 1:19:33you know, I was all of a sudden by myself in this big house.
- 1:19:36And with that, I do think there comes a little bit of a level of
- 1:19:41anxiety, and I have anxiety problems ANYWAYS, so I will
- 1:19:47admit that. But I would hear essentially
- 1:19:52what sounded like someone breaking in, you know, a lot of
- 1:19:56nights. And it started to freak me out
- 1:20:00to the points where, and I didn't have AI, didn't have a
- 1:20:03gun at the time. All I had was this, I call it a
- 1:20:06Rambo knife. It's just like a big military
- 1:20:08knife to where I was sleeping upstairs.
- 1:20:12And sleeping with that knife in case, you know, if someone
- 1:20:15really was breaking in, they would have to deal with me when
- 1:20:19they got upstairs if they chose to come upstairs.
- 1:20:22There was one night where it was storming really, really hard.
- 1:20:26And I remember kind of having that feeling and it was freaking
- 1:20:30me out. You know, the power went out for
- 1:20:34a short while and I remember going downstairs and, you know,
- 1:20:39like knife in hand, anxieties through the roof.
- 1:20:43I'd heard like banging. I'd heard what sounded like
- 1:20:46someone was like pulling on the door.
- 1:20:48This time the back door was pulled all the way open, like it
- 1:20:54was completely flung open. There's lightning lighting up
- 1:20:57the backyard. It's it's pouring rain.
- 1:21:01And I remember, I mean a, being freaked out, but B, trying to
- 1:21:06find whoever had caused that. And there was nothing, there was
- 1:21:12no footsteps in the mud. Obviously there wasn't anyone
- 1:21:15there. There was no evidence that there
- 1:21:17was anyone there. And I had dead, I always
- 1:21:21deadbolt at that door because there was it was a shotgun style
- 1:21:24house. The front door and the back
- 1:21:27door. Those are the only entrances,
- 1:21:30entrances aside from, you know, obviously the the windows and
- 1:21:33that type of thing. That was strange.
- 1:21:36Whether it was truly paranormal or not, I'm not sure, but it
- 1:21:39definitely was worth mentioning. And then there was one other
- 1:21:44time where it was just me. And at this point I had kind of
- 1:21:49gotten a little more comfortable with living by myself.
- 1:21:53My room, I had moved it downstairs and kind of like in
- 1:22:00the master bedroom that was if you'd walked in the front door
- 1:22:03would have been on the right hand side of the house.
- 1:22:06But I remember feeling some dark feelings in that room as well
- 1:22:09just in the house in general. And one night when I was
- 1:22:13sleeping I remember being woken up to what felt like something
- 1:22:18biting my neck. I still to this day, I don't
- 1:22:21fully know if it was like 1/2 dream state or what have you
- 1:22:26because it was just me and my cat care that lived there at the
- 1:22:29time. But I remember this was like
- 1:22:34midwinter and I remember kind of waking up or being in that dream
- 1:22:40state and going outside of my front door and just standing
- 1:22:46there and then eventually making my way back inside.
- 1:22:50Which if that was a dream, that would have been extremely
- 1:22:53strange. You know, obviously I can't
- 1:22:56prove that it did or didn't happen, but upon waking up to
- 1:23:02feeling like I was being bit in the neck, I remember feeling
- 1:23:06around my neck. And in there there to the right
- 1:23:09of the bed, there was a big closet that had mirror doors.
- 1:23:13So I remember looking into the mirror doors and there was just
- 1:23:17enough light coming from the Internet box to where you could
- 1:23:20kind of make things out. And I remember seeing this like
- 1:23:24little. I don't even know how to
- 1:23:26describe it it. Was like a it was like a little
- 1:23:28like gargoyle creature that was on my neck and I remember
- 1:23:32pulling it off of my neck and then all of a sudden it wasn't
- 1:23:35there that I was like, I didn't even know like I thought I I had
- 1:23:40to have been dreaming or something.
- 1:23:42And I very well could have been to tell you the.
- 1:23:45Truth. But those are the only parent.
- 1:23:49What I would consider paranormal esque things that happened
- 1:23:52living in the Millwood house, aside from some hypnagogic
- 1:23:57hallucinations with Megan after she moved in quite some time
- 1:24:03later. So with that being said, I have
- 1:24:06had other experiences as an adult.
- 1:24:09Some pretty recent. Ones actually like this year and
- 1:24:13even last year, but I'll I'll cover those in due time.
- 1:24:17I hope all around you guys have enjoyed my storytelling and just
- 1:24:22my rambling and just kind of how mystery are tribes came to be as
- 1:24:26well as getting into my experiences.
- 1:24:29It's been really therapeutic and really cathartic, as I
- 1:24:33previously said in the last video, to be able to kind of
- 1:24:38talk about this stuff and come to terms with it as an adult.
- 1:24:44And that's everything from the dysfunction to, you know, the
- 1:24:48spiritual aspects to explaining kind of how I started mystery
- 1:24:54archives and all of the above. And again, I just want to thank
- 1:24:57you guys for being interested and being willing to listen.
- 1:25:02The fact that I even have anyone supporting me at all, this is
- 1:25:05truly mind blowing. So I do think that's enough of
- 1:25:09me rambling. I've probably repeated myself
- 1:25:11several times, but I love you guys.
- 1:25:14I appreciate you guys and if you're not already subscribed,
- 1:25:18please subscribe with notifications on.
- 1:25:21If you are already subscribed but you don't have notifications
- 1:25:24on, definitely turn those on. That helps me out a ton.
- 1:25:28Please leave me a comment letting me know what your
- 1:25:31thoughts are down below. And other than that, guys, I've
- 1:25:35got a bunch of new content planned.
- 1:25:38I am working on starting a new podcast, which I will announce
- 1:25:41soon. That'll just coincide with the
- 1:25:44content that I already make here on the channel.
- 1:25:47And yeah, again, just thank you guys so much for everything and
- 1:25:52I'll see you soon. It's been coded here at Ministry
- 1:25:54Archives. Definitely stay safe out there
- 1:25:58and take care. I'll see you next time.
