A deadly head-on crash on K-156 in central Kansas left a 72-year-old woman dead after her Chevrolet Impala crossed into oncoming traffic, slamming into a Dodge Ram pickup hauling a trailer. The impact flipped the truck, igniting a fire and sending three passengers—including a 21-year-old driver—to the hospital with serious injuries. Two others in the truck had possible injuries, but all occupants were buckled up. The Highway Patrol is now investigating how the Impala veered westbound off its lane.
