- 0:10Speaker 1: W inurance.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I'm a check the adult. Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy
- 0:34Speaker 2: the Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown and.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm Olivia Haidar and.
- 0:37Speaker 2: We're your hosts. Yay, Olivia. How's it going? You know,
- 0:43Speaker 2: not bad, not bad.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Can't complain.
- 0:45Speaker 2: You must be very excited to be digging back in.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah, two absolutely, episode two of the Jesse Ventura
- 0:52Speaker 2: they don't want you to see.
- 0:54Speaker 1: This is this is what the government has kept from
- 0:57Speaker 1: you with government in Amazon doc.
- 1:00Speaker 2: What is the government hiding? You're gonna find out as
- 1:03Speaker 2: we delve into I can't wait till we get to
- 1:06Speaker 2: episode four, that's the police State episode that he got
- 1:10Speaker 2: sued over.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking forward to that one. I'm just wondering,
- 1:14Speaker 1: is I wonder if there's gonna be like some really
- 1:18Speaker 1: salacious shit about Amazon in this and that's why it's
- 1:21Speaker 1: not available on Prime video.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that would be funny. I could see that. Yeah,
- 1:27Speaker 2: there's also we need to track down the Harp episode.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That one, yeah, for some reason is unavailable too. Harp
- 1:33Speaker 2: is a very interesting yeah theory.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's weird. It's a weird one, but I definitely, yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I should check out the like, you know, kind of
- 1:44Speaker 1: seedier internet places and see if it's out there.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure that episode is probably on Daily Motion too.
- 1:51Speaker 2: It seems like, Yeah, it seems like that is the
- 1:55Speaker 2: body of water that all of this stuff eventually flows
- 1:58Speaker 2: to when it can't be found anywhere else before you
- 2:01Speaker 2: have to go to I don't even remember the name
- 2:04Speaker 2: of the site that we found the My Pillow Guy
- 2:07Speaker 2: documentary on.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Jesus fucking rumble. It was something like that. It was
- 2:12Speaker 1: some fucking Nazi site. I fucking that was so awful
- 2:16Speaker 1: to have that in my fucking search history.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Oh the things we do for you listeners.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Oh my god. Yeah, I had blocked out that how
- 2:24Speaker 1: terrible that website was.
- 2:28Speaker 2: So this time around season two, Episode two, S two
- 2:33Speaker 2: e two, if you will, of course, this time they're
- 2:36Speaker 2: talking about area fifty one, which again very surprised that
- 2:40Speaker 2: it took this long to get to Area fifty one.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yeah, this is such a huge one. But I think
- 2:45Speaker 1: the problem is, and this is how he opens the episode,
- 2:48Speaker 1: and it blew my mind, is he opens the episode
- 2:54Speaker 1: by being like, I've never really believed in Little Green Men.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I've never been He like, I can't it's just wild
- 3:03Speaker 1: that he doesn't believe in aliens. Of everything that he does,
- 3:06Speaker 1: He's the most fucking gullible man on the face of
- 3:09Speaker 1: the planet. He's so credulous. He doesn't believe in aliens, though.
- 3:14Speaker 2: And it seems like that changes by the end of
- 3:19Speaker 2: this episode.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Well, of course it does. He talks to people who
- 3:22Speaker 1: tell him something, and so of course he's like, oh,
- 3:24Speaker 1: well that does that must be true because you told
- 3:26Speaker 1: me it, and.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I swear we covered an episode where they went to
- 3:30Speaker 2: Area fifty one, right, wasn't that where they were when
- 3:33Speaker 2: the they brought that spirit animal woman who started frolicking
- 3:38Speaker 2: around about how they weren't going to make her go
- 3:40Speaker 2: in those holes?
- 3:41Speaker 1: That I might not have been on that That might
- 3:43Speaker 1: have been one of the ones that I was away for.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Oh what was it.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I don't know because I don't remember that. I definitely would.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Oh I think Jeff was on that episode, Yeah, because
- 3:53Speaker 1: I know that. Yeah, I know that Jeff covered like
- 3:55Speaker 1: the Reptilians one yeah, another one, so it must have been.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Oh that's where they where they were at the entrance
- 4:01Speaker 2: to the Reptilian.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Layer, of course, which is of course in Groom Lake.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and obviously it's just going to be a hole
- 4:08Speaker 2: in the ground that anyone could walk into if they
- 4:10Speaker 2: were curious enough. Weird, So yeah, they they they're going
- 4:14Speaker 2: to Area fifty one for real this time. And Jesse's
- 4:18Speaker 2: putting his life on the line on this sis. They
- 4:21Speaker 2: say that right up front. Yeah, the governor is risking
- 4:24Speaker 2: it all for you, America's he's risking it all by
- 4:28Speaker 2: going to basically a boundary that as long as you're
- 4:32Speaker 2: on one side of it, it seems like you're fine.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you're totally allowed, You're allowed to chill. People go
- 4:37Speaker 1: there all the.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Time, and it seems like, yeah place, probably a lot
- 4:40Speaker 2: of people go yeah, because there's no way you're gonna
- 4:43Speaker 2: as the government just stop people from showing up to look.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Of course, well no, and like there has to be
- 4:49Speaker 1: a boundary to the secret territory. That's just how like
- 4:53Speaker 1: they can't take over, Like if there was no boundary,
- 4:56Speaker 1: it would eventually, you know, engulf everything.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Bothers me about that part where he says that the
- 5:03Speaker 2: governor's putting his life on the line. There's this automatic
- 5:06Speaker 2: assumption that if you cross that line, they are immediately
- 5:10Speaker 2: going to shoot you, right, but not necessarily, No, not
- 5:13Speaker 2: necessarily just come down. And uh, I mean here's the thing.
- 5:18Speaker 2: It might be for the best if they shoot you,
- 5:20Speaker 2: because what if they come down and you're like, you
- 5:22Speaker 2: really want to see what we're doing in here? Yeah?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to know about the hybrids?
- 5:27Speaker 2: Well, okay, get ready to hell you goat legs for arms?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Oh no, not the goat legs for arms. That would
- 5:35Speaker 1: be so much worse. A reverse sator that would be awful.
- 5:40Speaker 2: No more opposable thumbs for you, governor.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Yeah, no, Like, they probably wouldn't immediately kill you. They
- 5:46Speaker 1: would probably start off by terrifying you by shouting at
- 5:51Speaker 1: you on a megaphone. Yeah, and then they might like
- 5:55Speaker 1: do some sort of like sound wave cannon or directed
- 5:59Speaker 1: energy thing that would just like deter you, and then
- 6:03Speaker 1: they would probably kill you.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yeah. That was always my thing about the storm area
- 6:07Speaker 2: fifty one thing. When people are like they can't shoot
- 6:09Speaker 2: us all at once, it's like shit, yeah, get ready
- 6:12Speaker 2: to die by alien technology, dummies.
- 6:16Speaker 1: This is the US government, even if they're not using
- 6:19Speaker 1: alien technology, like, this is the United States military. They
- 6:24Speaker 1: will absolutely destroy you, guys.
- 6:27Speaker 2: It's the desert. They will drop a nuke if they
- 6:30Speaker 2: need to do it out there all the time. So
- 6:34Speaker 2: his first meeting takes place at a truck stop in Nevada,
- 6:37Speaker 2: which is where I think most of his meetings on
- 6:39Speaker 2: this take place.
- 6:40Speaker 1: There's a lot of them at yeah stops. It opens
- 6:44Speaker 1: with this this guy who's pretty.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Fun, which, after this long don't don't truck stops have
- 6:49Speaker 2: to be one of the least safe places to have
- 6:51Speaker 2: meetings like this, because all anyone ever talks about is, well,
- 6:54Speaker 2: let's meet at a truck stop, right, it's probably like
- 6:57Speaker 2: highway patrol there, and yeah, that's capably I think that's
- 7:02Speaker 2: serial killers.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah. I think that's part of it though, is that
- 7:06Speaker 1: it's like public I don't know, Yeah, who knows, you know.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's also it seems like this guy might live in
- 7:14Speaker 1: a semi truck, so I don't know.
- 7:16Speaker 2: The guy in question is Chuck Clark, Yes, and he's
- 7:19Speaker 2: on the run from the government, which no, you're not.
- 7:22Speaker 1: No, he's absolutely not on the run from the government.
- 7:24Speaker 1: If he was on the run from the government, then
- 7:26Speaker 1: he is the absolute dumbest man on earth because he's
- 7:31Speaker 1: on the run from the government. So he goes on
- 7:33Speaker 1: a nationally aired TV show like sure, probably not everyone
- 7:38Speaker 1: watches it, but still.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, a TV show that when it comes to town,
- 7:43Speaker 2: every government official in the area is going to be notified.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Well because Jesse Ventura is going to go to their
- 7:50Speaker 1: offices and notify them. That's just his vibe.
- 7:55Speaker 2: So yeah, this would be highly risky if he was
- 7:57Speaker 2: definitely or actually on the 're on from the government.
- 8:01Speaker 2: He's an amateur astronomer who used to live near Area
- 8:04Speaker 2: fifty one. Oh, so he's got the credentials, right, And
- 8:08Speaker 2: also I see how the government could never nab him,
- 8:12Speaker 2: Like what you live near? They could just take you. Yeah,
- 8:15Speaker 2: they could just expand Area fifty one to include your
- 8:17Speaker 2: fucking house.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Like you think that they don't know every fucking thing
- 8:23Speaker 1: about every single person who lives within a fifty mile
- 8:27Speaker 1: radius of that border. Yeah, honestly, man.
- 8:31Speaker 2: He says they're developing the latest cutting edge technology that
- 8:35Speaker 2: they don't want anyone to know about. And here's the
- 8:38Speaker 2: thing that's not that controversial to me.
- 8:40Speaker 1: No, probably I think that's the general like in if
- 8:44Speaker 1: it's doing anything out of the ordinary and it's not
- 8:47Speaker 1: just like a regular air force base, that's probably what
- 8:51Speaker 1: it is. That's what makes the most sense.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know where people are expecting the government
- 8:56Speaker 2: to test its new technologies at like it shows, Like
- 9:01Speaker 2: what are you expecting? They're not going to be.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Public about that exactly. It's secret right, Like again, like
- 9:10Speaker 1: I don't want to defend the government, but like, just
- 9:14Speaker 1: from a logical standpoint, if you're doing something and you
- 9:17Speaker 1: have enemies around the world who would like to know
- 9:22Speaker 1: what you're doing in order to get an advantage over you, you're
- 9:25Speaker 1: probably gonna be pretty secretive about that.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and yeah, there is there are a lot of
- 9:31Speaker 2: moments in this where I'm kind of on the government side.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It's so weird. It's so they put us in such
- 9:37Speaker 1: a weird position on this show.
- 9:39Speaker 2: He like he talks about how the FBI raided his
- 9:42Speaker 2: house and the implication is that it happened for no
- 9:47Speaker 2: good reason. Yeah, but then later on we find out
- 9:51Speaker 2: that there are these sensors in the ground that like
- 9:55Speaker 2: monitor if someone crosses a certain boundary, then it's right,
- 9:58Speaker 2: Like the government knows they need to head to the
- 10:00Speaker 2: and this maniac dug them up out of the ground.
- 10:03Speaker 2: You think the government's not going to come over to
- 10:05Speaker 2: your area fifty one shack and ask you some questions.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I mean, shit, if I like fucking stole a security
- 10:13Speaker 1: camera from the local National Guard base, they'd probably pay
- 10:17Speaker 1: me a visit, Like yeah, jesus, Yeah.
- 10:21Speaker 2: But they play it off like, well, it's on public land.
- 10:25Speaker 2: No it's not.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's on government land exactly. It's like, not everything that
- 10:30Speaker 1: is owned by the government is accessible to any average person.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You can't dig up government property. And again I'm not
- 10:39Speaker 1: defending the government, but like that makes sense.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you have to be fair when exactly kind of
- 10:47Speaker 2: that is the problem with a lot of conspiracy theory podcasts,
- 10:51Speaker 2: and I think it's the problem a lot of conspiracy
- 10:54Speaker 2: theory podcast listeners have with this podcast. Yeah, is that
- 10:58Speaker 2: like not everything is is as crazy as it sounds.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Like, right, Well that again, we kind of talked about
- 11:06Speaker 1: this a little bit in the last episode. But like
- 11:08Speaker 1: every person that they have on here immediately jumps to
- 11:11Speaker 1: the most extreme negative interpretation of literally every event in
- 11:17Speaker 1: their life. Basically. Yeah, and so he doesn't like to him,
- 11:23Speaker 1: like he doesn't see the chain of logic, and he's
- 11:27Speaker 1: some random kai taking up military censors and that might
- 11:35Speaker 1: be why the FBI was curious about him.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, like you know, shit, man, you know, there is
- 11:43Speaker 2: a lot of infrastructure in this country related to like
- 11:47Speaker 2: the power grid in things. Yeah, that is technically on
- 11:51Speaker 2: public land, Like you can walk up to it, but
- 11:53Speaker 2: it's got a fence around it. And if you jump
- 11:56Speaker 2: that fence and go in and start digging around, if
- 12:00Speaker 2: someone's gonna show up and give you the what for exactly?
- 12:03Speaker 1: This is not like, this is not even exclusive to
- 12:07Speaker 1: Area fifty one at all. Yeah, this is just the
- 12:10Speaker 1: thing that happens. Like if you fuck with the government.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Why do you lock your dumpsters? People don't use them man,
- 12:19Speaker 2: So June Sarpong, it's time for a team meeting. We
- 12:22Speaker 2: need a sound effect for when the team meetings start,
- 12:25Speaker 2: would like the law and order done June star Pong.
- 12:29Speaker 2: In this team meeting, she breaks out the jump to conclusions.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Matt is seen in office space and says, if the
- 12:36Speaker 2: government is hiding something at Area fifty one, it is aliens, right.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So she's seen it in movies, so it must be that. Like,
- 12:45Speaker 1: there's no other explanation for that leap.
- 12:47Speaker 2: So she she decides to drive off to Area fifty
- 12:52Speaker 2: one to talk to a source.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Hmmmm, mysterious. I wonder who this source could be.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Meanwhile, the skeptic Daniel, who I swear I've never seen
- 13:01Speaker 2: on a single episode up until now.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Who the fuck was this guy? Is Alex Sick?
- 13:08Speaker 2: Maybe Alex morphed into him during the Reptilians episode.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Wow, yeah, the most ineffective shape shifter. He just shifted
- 13:16Speaker 1: into another white guy like who just kind of looks
- 13:20Speaker 1: like him.
- 13:21Speaker 2: This this new new skeptic Daniel.
- 13:24Speaker 1: They just act like he's been there the whole time.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It's so weird.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's like when the Fresh Prince of bel
- 13:30Speaker 2: Air changed Viv's mid stream and was like, you don't notice,
- 13:35Speaker 2: you don't even notice. The He goes to talk to
- 13:37Speaker 2: Clifford Clift of moufan the Mutual UFO Network, which I'm
- 13:41Speaker 2: pretty sure in and of itself is a government of
- 13:45Speaker 2: some sort like that shits. Maybe it's been around since
- 13:50Speaker 2: UFOs have been in the news.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I mean absolutely, But like again, these like these are
- 13:56Speaker 1: like hobbyists. They're not experts, right, They're just people who
- 14:01Speaker 1: like UFOs, Like I could join moufon. Like I'm not anybody,
- 14:07Speaker 1: but I like UFOs. Maybe let's let's apply.
- 14:10Speaker 2: I wonder if there's a business.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I bet they got a website membership.
- 14:14Speaker 2: That we can get I want to get everyone in
- 14:15Speaker 2: the network moofon memberships.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we should. That should be a Patreon tier. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: the moufon membership. We can donate members log in. There's
- 14:25Speaker 1: a members logging on the website, so that implies that
- 14:28Speaker 1: we can join this group.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I wonder if we have to see a UFO like
- 14:34Speaker 2: they come to us.
- 14:35Speaker 1: We don't go to them, No, we just have to
- 14:37Speaker 1: like say that we've seen a UFO and they'll be like, okay, sure, yeah,
- 14:42Speaker 1: that's it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: So Clifford is pretty sure the government's keeping UFOs at
- 14:47Speaker 2: area fifty one. He says, maybe a dozen.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Oh good, Like I wondering how we got that number. Yeah,
- 14:53Speaker 1: because seems like I guess that seems like a reasonable
- 14:56Speaker 1: amount of UFOs to store it in Air Force BACE.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean from logistics, if nothing else, I'm sure
- 15:02Speaker 2: like maybe these things are gigantic.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Well, this is the thing, This is the absolute thing
- 15:07Speaker 1: when it comes to anything alien related, is that it
- 15:10Speaker 1: is like, and I've brought this up when we've talked
- 15:12Speaker 1: about aliens before, it is so fucking hard to travel
- 15:18Speaker 1: through space and especially long distances of space, that their
- 15:23Speaker 1: craft is going to be insane. Something that we probably
- 15:27Speaker 1: couldn't even comprehend to reverse engineer anything out of and
- 15:31Speaker 1: it's gonna be huge probably, Like you know, they gotta
- 15:34Speaker 1: if they're going through all the effort, they're gonna bring
- 15:37Speaker 1: a bunch of shit with them.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Yeah. So maybe that's why we only have twelve, right, Yeah.
- 15:41Speaker 1: No, that's exactly right. Yeah, you know, we could only
- 15:44Speaker 1: hold twelve independent staceships the Giant Ones at Area fifty one.
- 15:49Speaker 2: So Jesse meanwhile goes off and talks to a guy
- 15:53Speaker 2: named Michael Shatt. Yeah, who's he's the voice of reason
- 15:57Speaker 2: sort of on this episode.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess so, yeah, in comparison.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Because he's of the belief that we're just working on
- 16:05Speaker 2: like dark projects there and things we don't want the
- 16:08Speaker 2: public to know about. But it's not necessary, it's not UFOs,
- 16:11Speaker 2: we're the ones doing it. Yeah, and then he breaks
- 16:14Speaker 2: but then he breaks out all these diagrams and it's like, well,
- 16:16Speaker 2: well I get.
- 16:17Speaker 1: That, who are you and why you are? Literally just
- 16:20Speaker 1: it's fan art that like it's all it is like,
- 16:25Speaker 1: and like, look, I have looked up literally every single
- 16:29Speaker 1: thing that he mentioned, and it's all shit that either
- 16:33Speaker 1: comes directly from science fiction stories or some random guy
- 16:40Speaker 1: just came up with, like, I'm sorry. He talks about
- 16:42Speaker 1: that thing, this thing that is a neutral buoyancy craft
- 16:46Speaker 1: is what he calls it. And he shows this in
- 16:49Speaker 1: order to demonstrate this. He shows a picture of like
- 16:51Speaker 1: this triangh flat triangle shaped thing that doesn't even make
- 16:56Speaker 1: any sense as an aircraft, and you google neutral buoyancy
- 17:00Speaker 1: craft and it fucking comes up on Google patents. I'm sorry,
- 17:04Speaker 1: a government's secret military project is not going to show
- 17:08Speaker 1: up on Google patents. And like the he talked, you know,
- 17:11Speaker 1: like he brings up like the F nineteen, which is
- 17:15Speaker 1: like fan fiction. It's like military fan fiction that's been
- 17:18Speaker 1: around since the F twenty was invented. Like it's just
- 17:21Speaker 1: because they skipped a number that people are like, well,
- 17:24Speaker 1: there must be an alien F nineteen. He shows this thing.
- 17:28Speaker 1: It looks ridiculous, the F nineteen. It's like it's like
- 17:32Speaker 1: an arrowhead and it's got these.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Sort of shaped like the stealth bomber.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Well a little bit, but then it's got those fins
- 17:39Speaker 1: on the back and I'm like, what are those fins for?
- 17:42Speaker 1: That doesn't make any sense. Yeah, they're like they're like
- 17:45Speaker 1: vertical fins, like.
- 17:47Speaker 2: But I don't doubt that that's what they're doing there.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I don't. I don't know if he's actually in naming
- 17:53Speaker 2: the project.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Sure, but like that's part of you know, if you're
- 17:56Speaker 1: talking about like the Mirage Men, like we talked about
- 17:58Speaker 1: in the last episode, Like that's kind of what that
- 18:01Speaker 1: is where he's kind of mentioning stuff that is kind
- 18:05Speaker 1: of probably real, yeah, which is that it's probably a
- 18:08Speaker 1: place where they develop experimental aircraft. But he's just adding
- 18:13Speaker 1: science fiction to it and it makes it ridiculous.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Yeah, And so he goes through all all his flash
- 18:20Speaker 2: cards and Jesse, for some reason ask about time travel. Yeah.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yeah, Again, I don't think Jesse really gets aliens, Like
- 18:31Speaker 1: I just don't think that, which is funny because he
- 18:34Speaker 1: was in Predator and so it seems like he would
- 18:38Speaker 1: know a little bit. But he just seems like it's like, well,
- 18:42Speaker 1: it's weird, right, so it must be kind of related
- 18:45Speaker 1: to this other thing.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah. This is the point where it starts seeming like
- 18:48Speaker 2: he does believe aliens are involved in all.
- 18:51Speaker 1: I guess of course he does, because people have told
- 18:54Speaker 1: them that it's real.
- 18:56Speaker 2: That's such a big philosophy shift to have mid episode.
- 19:00Speaker 1: To go from just flatly not believing in aliens at
- 19:04Speaker 1: all to there are definitely aliens and there are definitely
- 19:08Speaker 1: spacecraft at Area fifty one.
- 19:10Speaker 2: It reminds me of the episode where he changes his
- 19:13Speaker 2: nine to eleven theory and his son gets me very
- 19:16Speaker 2: angry at him. Oh my god, we've been saying it
- 19:20Speaker 2: was a controlled demolition for two years, Dad.
- 19:24Speaker 1: That's I mean, But again, it's only it's funny because
- 19:27Speaker 1: he he like notices it in that episode and someone
- 19:31Speaker 1: actually like mentions it. But like so many of these
- 19:34Speaker 1: episodes feature conflicting theories, like just like he takes at
- 19:40Speaker 1: face value things that directly contradict each other.
- 19:43Speaker 2: So so yeah, even this guy's like time travel, what
- 19:46Speaker 2: are you talking about, Governor? And then Jesse says, so,
- 19:52Speaker 2: what's the deal with Area fifty one? Are they reverse
- 19:55Speaker 2: engineering or are they spending millions of tax dollars off
- 19:59Speaker 2: the books? I mean, can it be both?
- 20:01Speaker 1: Yeah? I was gonna say, why wouldn't it be both?
- 20:03Speaker 1: If they were reversed engineering alien technology, I'd imagine that
- 20:07Speaker 1: cost a pretty penny.
- 20:09Speaker 2: And here's the thing. If there is alien technology falling
- 20:12Speaker 2: to the Earth, of course they're going to try to
- 20:14Speaker 2: fucking reverse engineer it who.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I mean, yeah again, not to take the government's side
- 20:19Speaker 1: because I don't necessarily agree with that as a person,
- 20:22Speaker 1: but it makes sense.
- 20:25Speaker 2: So team meeting time, Ding ding Ding. They're gathered to
- 20:30Speaker 2: discuss Kurt Russell's the Phoenix Lights, which, uh just reminder
- 20:35Speaker 2: that I love dropping in from time to time. He
- 20:37Speaker 2: was the first person to report Phoenix lights. He's flying
- 20:41Speaker 2: his son to meet his girlfriend, and Ye looked out
- 20:44Speaker 2: the window and said, Paul, Paul, that's.
- 20:49Speaker 1: What he sounds like.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Uh So, I still think the Phoenix lights were the
- 20:53Speaker 2: stealth bomber, but that's neither here nor there.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I mean, maybe my favorite part of the whole team
- 21:00Speaker 1: meeting about the Phoenix Lights is when Jesse when they
- 21:02Speaker 1: cut away from it and Jesse Vachura says, as I
- 21:05Speaker 1: was being downloaded on the Phoenix lights. Meanwhile, June star
- 21:10Speaker 1: Pong was like, it's just so funny, as I was
- 21:13Speaker 1: being downloaded on what Phoenix lights?
- 21:16Speaker 2: Weird way to put that. It's so insanely weird.
- 21:20Speaker 1: He's such a weird guy.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I love it so June that they bring up the
- 21:24Speaker 2: Phoenix lights in classic editing of this show fashion Now
- 21:29Speaker 2: we're going to manically bounce between them talking about one
- 21:33Speaker 2: thing and June going off to meet a source.
- 21:35Speaker 1: It's different.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I think they might just not like June that much.
- 21:39Speaker 1: It's again, she's like the field trip person. She whenever
- 21:43Speaker 1: they need her, need someone to go meet a weirdo
- 21:47Speaker 1: in a parking lot somewhere in the middle of the country, they.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Send June whenever the sketchy man in a van beacon
- 21:53Speaker 2: God lights in the sky.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Okay, I haven't watched every first season episode, Okay, so
- 21:59Speaker 1: we gotta get it. By the way, the guy that
- 22:01Speaker 1: she goes to see is the same guy that they
- 22:04Speaker 1: that she visits during the Manchurian Candidate episode. Yes, which
- 22:08Speaker 1: I found to be fucking hilarious that they go back
- 22:12Speaker 1: to the same guy. And I have to know if
- 22:15Speaker 1: in one of the episodes in the first season that
- 22:18Speaker 1: I didn't see, if he appears again, because that's wild.
- 22:22Speaker 2: No, he's not in either of those episodes. God, so
- 22:26Speaker 2: he just he just makes a return appearance the minute
- 22:29Speaker 2: they because they kind of tease it and then go
- 22:31Speaker 2: to commercial and then come back. The minute I saw
- 22:33Speaker 2: that white van, I was like, it's gonna be that guy, right.
- 22:36Speaker 2: I was the guy.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I was losing my mind. It was like when fucking
- 22:42Speaker 1: Iron Man showed up in The Incredible Hulk or something.
- 22:45Speaker 3: I was like, oh shit, it's that weirdo and he's
- 22:49Speaker 3: still fucking so weird.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Oh my god. And his name's David Corso. Yeah, he
- 22:57Speaker 2: is the Yeah, the creepy man and a creepy white
- 23:00Speaker 2: van from the Manchurian Candidate episode. He tells her she
- 23:04Speaker 2: should speak to a guy named Richard Boyland or Richard Boylan.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Yeah she does.
- 23:09Speaker 2: She really need to hit up this white van for
- 23:11Speaker 2: this information every time, because that's all he did last
- 23:14Speaker 2: time too, was give her a name. And it's like,
- 23:16Speaker 2: I get secure communications and all, but you're doing this
- 23:19Speaker 2: on a TV show, Fella.
- 23:21Speaker 1: All he did was give her a name and make
- 23:24Speaker 1: really weird James Bond type like insinuations, like talk like
- 23:29Speaker 1: a Bond villain. It's so he's he's gotta be fake, right,
- 23:33Speaker 1: he can't be. He's not a real person. He's an actor, right.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I think he's a good candidate for being one of
- 23:39Speaker 2: those mirage men people.
- 23:40Speaker 3: I mean maybe, but like it's just they use the
- 23:43Speaker 3: same guy again and he does the same like stick
- 23:48Speaker 3: he says, how very astude of you in the same
- 23:51Speaker 3: creepy voice, like he's.
- 23:53Speaker 2: He's He's been a very reliable source so far because
- 23:56Speaker 2: if you remember, on the first episode, he gave her
- 23:58Speaker 2: a name and it turned out out that that was
- 24:00Speaker 2: a person.
- 24:01Speaker 1: It's true, that was a guy and he was super
- 24:04Speaker 1: weird too.
- 24:05Speaker 2: He was a master of martial arts. Yeah, demonstraight, We'll
- 24:09Speaker 2: take your word for it, sir.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I just this guy has to be an actor.
- 24:14Speaker 1: He I just can't believe that that's a real person
- 24:17Speaker 1: that they found and have visited twice, and he is,
- 24:21Speaker 1: and he talks like this like.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, he's not going to run the
- 24:25Speaker 2: how very astute of your mine again is he? But
- 24:27Speaker 2: he did it like fucking it's his trademark and.
- 24:30Speaker 1: He delivers every line like oh yes, I hadn't thought
- 24:35Speaker 1: of that before. Interesting, Like it's that shit. It's fucking
- 24:40Speaker 1: deep throat shit like you.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Know, yeah, except on television.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, God, they had he like I'm sorry not to repeat,
- 24:49Speaker 1: but he has to.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Yeah, there's something going on with him.
- 24:51Speaker 1: So definitely something going on with them, regardless of whether
- 24:56Speaker 1: he's an actor.
- 24:57Speaker 2: So she goes off and meets with doctor Boyle and
- 25:00Speaker 2: he's he's got some shit to say. Absolutely, he claims
- 25:05Speaker 2: Area fifty one goes thirty levels below the ground and
- 25:10Speaker 2: the government is down there trying to create alien human hybrids.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Sure, wow, this is this is where Yeah again we.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Talked about this on the last episode.
- 25:24Speaker 2: But what was Haybriding and what fall Sisters Brothers? Yeah,
- 25:30Speaker 2: this is there's a he did a Dulcy Bass episode
- 25:34Speaker 2: Jesse venture, and I think that's one of the ones
- 25:36Speaker 2: I covered with Jeff Okay and Dulcie Base. Is the
- 25:40Speaker 2: same general theory. It's that, Uh, are you watching American
- 25:45Speaker 2: Horror Story this season?
- 25:46Speaker 1: Not? No, I don't. I haven't watched that show.
- 25:48Speaker 2: The second half of this season is about basically a
- 25:53Speaker 2: depiction of this conspiracy theory that claims Eisenhower had a
- 25:57Speaker 2: meeting with the aliens that crashed at Roswell and made
- 26:02Speaker 2: a deal with them where they could have five thousand
- 26:05Speaker 2: humans a year to do experiments on in exchange for
- 26:09Speaker 2: them giving us alien technology. So one that part of
- 26:14Speaker 2: this season of American Horror Story very much worth checking
- 26:17Speaker 2: out just to see that depicted on the silver screen,
- 26:22Speaker 2: but also that ends up in the Dulcy Base theory
- 26:27Speaker 2: which is that we built Dulcie Base for these aliens
- 26:31Speaker 2: to do their experiments on five thousand people a year,
- 26:34Speaker 2: and that at one point we kind of felt like
- 26:37Speaker 2: they were getting a little out of hand with it,
- 26:40Speaker 2: so we sent the Marines down to have to basically
- 26:45Speaker 2: break into this lab and put down what they were
- 26:48Speaker 2: doing to the Marines lost.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Yeah, into the lab where the aliens are working. Yes, yes, yeah.
- 26:54Speaker 2: And that's all claimed to have happened at dulci Base.
- 26:57Speaker 2: So I don't know if he's talking about the same thing,
- 27:00Speaker 2: but it seems like it.
- 27:01Speaker 1: I'll know, I would question why the aliens would need
- 27:04Speaker 1: to do those experiments on an Air Force space if
- 27:09Speaker 1: they came here in a spaceship. I feel like maybe
- 27:13Speaker 1: that would probably suit their needs.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Better, Well, I mean, you're gonna want some facilities.
- 27:18Speaker 2: You're gonna want You're gonna want something in an exchange
- 27:21Speaker 2: for your alien technology.
- 27:23Speaker 1: You're not saying I thought that people were what was
- 27:26Speaker 1: in an exchange for the alien technology?
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah, but they you know, they want Every artist wants
- 27:31Speaker 2: a studio, of course, No, that's true that they need
- 27:34Speaker 2: a place to create any place.
- 27:36Speaker 1: When the marine storm your studio, then you have no
- 27:40Speaker 1: rest rejoinder, but to like annihilate them with your death ray.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's a wild theory. That should be a movie,
- 27:47Speaker 2: and I think it has been. I think there are
- 27:49Speaker 2: movies with a very similar plot. Okay, but who knows.
- 27:55Speaker 2: So this guy, doctor Boylan, he claims they're they're making
- 27:59Speaker 2: human alien hybrids down there, and then it actually goes
- 28:02Speaker 2: like thirty levels below the ground. He said he tried.
- 28:06Speaker 2: This is where things get a little conflicting when it
- 28:09Speaker 2: comes to his accounts of things that have happened at
- 28:12Speaker 2: Area fifty one, because the first thing he says is, well,
- 28:15Speaker 2: I try to drive there and someone shot out my tires,
- 28:19Speaker 2: which very funny way to handle it. I like that,
- 28:24Speaker 2: also kind of impractical because it's going to require more
- 28:27Speaker 2: people to come out there and deal with a situation.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Of his car.
- 28:31Speaker 2: It's gonna have to call a tow truck. Does he
- 28:32Speaker 2: have service there? Are you going to let him use
- 28:34Speaker 2: a phone? I means it a human phone or an
- 28:37Speaker 2: alien phone?
- 28:37Speaker 1: Oh? An alien phone? Well that's what our smartphones are,
- 28:42Speaker 1: Adam is alien?
- 28:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I forget about that. So but then he
- 28:47Speaker 2: also says he went back at night and saw a
- 28:50Speaker 2: bunch of weird hovercrafts frolicking around, which and he says,
- 28:55Speaker 2: these crafts are reverse engineered from UFOs, So we are
- 29:00Speaker 2: verse engineering alien technology, but also haven't mastered security enough
- 29:05Speaker 2: that we can't see this guy standing there in the dark.
- 29:08Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I don't know.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I just can't buy the reverse engineering thing that just
- 29:15Speaker 1: has never passed the sniff test for me. Uh, you know,
- 29:19Speaker 1: it's we have no idea what alien technology would would
- 29:23Speaker 1: be like it I feel like that would be such
- 29:25Speaker 1: a difficult task to get anything useful out of alien technology.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and my thing is I don't care. Yeah, I
- 29:33Speaker 2: don't care if we were reverse engineer again, it's what
- 29:36Speaker 2: I would expect us to do.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Yeah. Also, like it's not like without aliens we haven't
- 29:41Speaker 1: been able to make some really fucking deadly shit anyway, Like, yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 1: we don't kill people, just fine.
- 29:48Speaker 2: That's another conclusion people leap to is that everything they're
- 29:52Speaker 2: working on is gonna kill us, which I mean, granted,
- 29:55Speaker 2: given the history of this government, yes problem it's the military,
- 29:58Speaker 2: So but you know what if they have to have
- 30:01Speaker 2: an emergency plan for unlimited energy if things really do
- 30:05Speaker 2: go haywire, I see that That's one of my hopes
- 30:08Speaker 2: right there, is that the government like solved climate change
- 30:13Speaker 2: and fossil fuels a long time ago, and they're just like,
- 30:17Speaker 2: but we're gonna use up what's there first. Yeah, and
- 30:20Speaker 2: then we'll roll out the alien technology and look like
- 30:22Speaker 2: the saviors of the world. Of course, maybe I don't
- 30:26Speaker 2: getting that as Al Gore as an alien.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Probably, sure, everyone will come out on that limb with me.
- 30:32Speaker 1: That's what's in his lock box. Old ass joke.
- 30:36Speaker 2: So now Jesse heads out to talk to a guy
- 30:39Speaker 2: named Randall Fitzgerald who is an investigative journalist who looked
- 30:43Speaker 2: into the Phoenix lights. Did you notice there was a
- 30:45Speaker 2: dog barking in the background of this episode or of
- 30:49Speaker 2: the scene the entire time.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Uh. No, one's gonna ever claim that the production values
- 30:55Speaker 1: on this show are you know, professional level, And it's.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Not like they were in like like conducting this interview
- 31:03Speaker 2: in a location that was integral to the story or
- 31:07Speaker 2: any like just go to a Denny's or something like,
- 31:09Speaker 2: get that someone quiet that dog down, put a muzzle
- 31:12Speaker 2: on it or something.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Move, yeah, go down like a block.
- 31:16Speaker 2: But instead there's a dog voicing its displeasure. The whole time, and.
- 31:22Speaker 1: That just makes this guy seem even more reasonable than
- 31:27Speaker 1: he otherwise would he Well.
- 31:29Speaker 2: What he's pushing though, the idea that whatever was flying
- 31:33Speaker 2: the human or flying the Arizona lights was human, Yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 2: that I buy.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I mean sure, maybe I don't know.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Then he's then he spins off into holograms and projections, which,
- 31:46Speaker 2: on the one hand, like that, that's his argument is
- 31:50Speaker 2: that what was seen over Phoenix was a hologram that
- 31:55Speaker 2: the government was projecting into the sky to see how
- 31:58Speaker 2: people reacted. And when we covered the CIA UFO files
- 32:03Speaker 2: from back in the fifties, that was like one of
- 32:05Speaker 2: the first things, yeah, we were looking into was oh,
- 32:09Speaker 2: can we use this for psychological warfare and right project
- 32:12Speaker 2: shit into the sky?
- 32:14Speaker 1: I would say the major flaw in that is that
- 32:19Speaker 1: no one saw a UFO. They all just saw lights.
- 32:22Speaker 1: No one saw like a structure, which kind of oh, there.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Are there's a couple different sightings from that night, and
- 32:30Speaker 2: there is one that was an actual craft.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Sure, sure, no, I mean I know what you mean,
- 32:34Speaker 1: but I just mean, like, in general, widespread most people
- 32:37Speaker 1: just saw lights, and so if it was a test
- 32:40Speaker 1: to see how effective a UFO hologram in the sky
- 32:45Speaker 1: would be it was probably a bad time to do it, probably,
- 32:49Speaker 1: you know, not successful because you got to see the
- 32:53Speaker 1: craft in order to have that effect, you know.
- 32:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're only referring to the one in there
- 33:00Speaker 2: were two incidents where it was a lot of people
- 33:03Speaker 2: who reported That's why I think it was the stealth bomber,
- 33:06Speaker 2: because there are a bunch of people who report seeing
- 33:09Speaker 2: a thing that when they describe it, it sounds like
- 33:12Speaker 2: the stealth bomber. And the thing about the stealth bomber
- 33:15Speaker 2: is it was officially introduced to the world like two
- 33:19Speaker 2: or three months later. So those two things happened in
- 33:22Speaker 2: very close proximity. And yeah, I mean that's possible, definitely,
- 33:25Speaker 2: Like if you see a stealth bomber flying overhead, you're
- 33:28Speaker 2: gonna know as long as it's not right in stealth mode. Well,
- 33:32Speaker 2: because it happened to me on New Year's Day one
- 33:35Speaker 2: year when I was living very close to Pasadena where
- 33:38Speaker 2: the Rose bul Parade happens and stealth bombers do flyovers.
- 33:42Speaker 2: But in that moment, when I looked up and saw
- 33:44Speaker 2: a stealth bomber, I was like, what the fuck is
- 33:47Speaker 2: going on? Why is there a stealth bomber in the sky.
- 33:51Speaker 1: They're real weird looking, I like, you know, but that
- 33:54Speaker 1: is like also a common misconception that about in stealth
- 33:58Speaker 1: bombers that people think it like is hard to see,
- 34:01Speaker 1: but it's not. It just doesn't reflect radar easily. Yeah.
- 34:05Speaker 2: So yeah. The one interesting thing they bring up is
- 34:10Speaker 2: and they of course don't really cite any sources for this,
- 34:13Speaker 2: so I guess I would have to look into it,
- 34:16Speaker 2: but they claim that at the same time the Phoenix
- 34:20Speaker 2: Lights happened, the Maryland National Guard was working on a
- 34:25Speaker 2: hologram projection project. And what's interesting about that is the
- 34:30Speaker 2: Maryland National Guard did say after the Phoenix lights that
- 34:35Speaker 2: they were flying in the area, which I've always been like,
- 34:38Speaker 2: why Maryland, Why is the Maryland National Guard all the
- 34:40Speaker 2: way in Arizona. Yeah, yeah, that's weird. I don't know,
- 34:44Speaker 2: but that part is weird. And this is also what
- 34:48Speaker 2: Jesse venture is nine to eleven theory I believe goes
- 34:51Speaker 2: on to become is that it's holograms projected in the sky. Sure,
- 34:55Speaker 2: because that's one of the theories. Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Yeah, there's also like, didn't someone someone claimed that like
- 35:02Speaker 1: Satan was projected in this guy too. There's lots of
- 35:04Speaker 1: stuff around there.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you could see the face of Satan in
- 35:07Speaker 2: the smoke rising from the twin towers. I keep forgetting.
- 35:11Speaker 2: The guy who apparently has taken over and rebooted Weekly
- 35:15Speaker 2: World News wants to do an episode of this podcast. Oh,
- 35:19Speaker 2: it'd be an interesting person to talk to.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I would be interesting.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Get some bat Boy updates things alike. Maybe I'll reply
- 35:26Speaker 2: to that email you should.
- 35:28Speaker 1: It'd be interesting.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Yeah. So yeah, the dog is barking the whole time
- 35:32Speaker 2: this guy's talking. He and then he closes it out
- 35:37Speaker 2: by just saying, yeah, if that, if that's all true,
- 35:40Speaker 2: it came from area fifty one.
- 35:42Speaker 1: He's like, all right, yeah, thanks, we'll take your word
- 35:44Speaker 1: for it.
- 35:46Speaker 2: So now Jesse Ventura is going to launch a raid
- 35:50Speaker 2: on Area fifty one, and he's gonna do it on
- 35:53Speaker 2: his motorcycle.
- 35:54Speaker 1: But yeah, on his chopper. Baby.
- 35:56Speaker 2: He is hitting the road. He's jeansed up, he's got
- 35:59Speaker 2: a black T shirt on. He's got a helmet that
- 36:03Speaker 2: looks like it would not protect you in a crash.
- 36:05Speaker 1: No, but it looks cool. It does.
- 36:07Speaker 2: He looks great.
- 36:08Speaker 1: He looks so cool.
- 36:09Speaker 2: And he's going to meet a guy named George Knapp,
- 36:11Speaker 2: who claims to be the guy who knows more about
- 36:13Speaker 2: Area fifty one than anyone else. And I bet that
- 36:15Speaker 2: is just categorically fun.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Yes, I can't imagine that that is real.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Yeah, like, there are probably dozens of CIA employees who
- 36:24Speaker 2: know so much more about Area fifty one.
- 36:26Speaker 1: There have to be. There's so many people who work
- 36:28Speaker 1: there currently who know more.
- 36:31Speaker 2: I love that there's an airline that flies people in.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I don't know if I put that in the notes.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I've always loved that fact.
- 36:38Speaker 2: It is so fun, fascinating.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It's wild, like it's a top secret military base. They
- 36:43Speaker 1: do crazy fucking shit to make sure it's all like secret.
- 36:48Speaker 1: But yeah, I can't. We're gonna talk about but June
- 36:51Speaker 1: that that section was wild where June goes in that place.
- 36:55Speaker 2: So he calls this guy that he talks to, George Napp.
- 37:00Speaker 2: He calls Area fifty one the blackest place in the
- 37:02Speaker 2: Black World. Yeah, it's like, man, you can't. That's a
- 37:05Speaker 2: weird way to.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Put that, really really odd phrasing. Uh. I just don't
- 37:11Speaker 1: think I've ever heard of the I guess you'd call
- 37:15Speaker 1: it the shadow government, referred to as the Black World
- 37:21Speaker 1: I've just never heard that.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like, if nothing, I don't think I've
- 37:25Speaker 2: ever heard anything described as the Black World. No, but
- 37:30Speaker 2: it feels like, I don't know what a weird way
- 37:32Speaker 2: to say it, man, it is, it's so weird.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Honestly, the blackest place in the Black World sounds like
- 37:38Speaker 1: a Diggable Planet's album.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Diggable Planets were fucking great.
- 37:43Speaker 1: They are they fucking rule.
- 37:45Speaker 2: So he brings up the stealth bomber and says they
- 37:49Speaker 2: were burning hazardous materials at Area fifty one while developing
- 37:53Speaker 2: that and even worse, government workers who got sick from
- 37:56Speaker 2: it were refused government help. That sounds like the government
- 38:00Speaker 2: that sure does out that one bit.
- 38:03Speaker 1: That is that is just the VW in the not
- 38:06Speaker 1: the VW, the veterans, you know, hospitals in a in
- 38:10Speaker 1: a nutshell.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Yeah, the war in Iraq, there were the depleted uranium
- 38:14Speaker 2: rounds that made people sick mefloquin, which is one of
- 38:19Speaker 2: the reasons hydroxy chloric one scared me so much because
- 38:23Speaker 2: mefloquin is an anti malaria drug that makes people crazy
- 38:28Speaker 2: and people had to take it like it was.
- 38:31Speaker 1: It was a whole thing.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Government loves making people sick and then pretending they didn't
- 38:34Speaker 2: do it. First responders on nine to eleven.
- 38:37Speaker 1: For example, Absolutely, I don't know.
- 38:40Speaker 2: I don't I didn't know holograms could produce the kind
- 38:42Speaker 2: of dust necessary to make people sick.
- 38:45Speaker 1: But I guess. So that's the thermite paint.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Right right right. So for some reason, Jesse asks if
- 38:53Speaker 2: the government is going to tap his phone for looking
- 38:56Speaker 2: into this, and George Knapp says what we're all thinking
- 38:59Speaker 2: in that moment, which is that the government's already tapping
- 39:02Speaker 2: your phone.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and now they don't even need to, Yeah.
- 39:06Speaker 2: You're doing it. Yeah, they could just set their DVRs.
- 39:09Speaker 1: They well, I mean, I just mean, like in the
- 39:12Speaker 1: current day, they could just like you know, I don't know,
- 39:16Speaker 1: connect a Bluetooth or something.
- 39:19Speaker 2: So now he hops back on his motorcycle to ride
- 39:21Speaker 2: off into the desert to storm area fifty one.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Now I want to say, like we're wondering why he
- 39:27Speaker 1: has a motorcycle. I would bet money that he got
- 39:32Speaker 1: that motorcycle because George rides the motorcycle and he doesn't
- 39:37Speaker 1: want to look less cool than George. Oh that could
- 39:41Speaker 1: be because they both ride out on motorcycles together, and
- 39:44Speaker 1: there's no way that. George was just like, oh, you've
- 39:47Speaker 1: got a motorcycle, just ride like George was going to
- 39:49Speaker 1: ride his motorcycle.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I got a sidecar. You want to hop in that governor?
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that would make it. Yeah, that would be cool, right.
- 39:55Speaker 2: No, I would preferred. I would have preferred to see that.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Would have been so funny him in a sidecar.
- 40:03Speaker 2: He is so large, that would be great. It would
- 40:06Speaker 2: be amazing, be some Marx Brothers shit. So he's My
- 40:11Speaker 2: theory was that he's trying to ride that motorcycle off
- 40:13Speaker 2: on his taxis. I mean, are you are you used
- 40:16Speaker 2: it on teleficial and it's a business expounse.
- 40:19Speaker 1: It's probably both.
- 40:22Speaker 2: He's heading to Rachel, Nevada, the town closest to Area
- 40:25Speaker 2: fifty one. He talks to a very confusing figure name
- 40:29Speaker 2: Jorg Arnu Yorg Yeah, who seems like he's from Sweden
- 40:34Speaker 2: or Norway. Turns out it's Germany.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:36Speaker 2: But also, is that like a Confederate flag bandana he's
- 40:39Speaker 2: got on his head?
- 40:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. It was weird. This guy is
- 40:45Speaker 1: interesting because he just kind of moved to Rachel from Germany. Yeah,
- 40:50Speaker 1: and uh, like that's just an interesting story. Like I
- 40:54Speaker 1: would say, I want to say, I would watch a
- 40:57Speaker 1: TV show like just called Rachel that is just about
- 41:01Speaker 1: this town, because oh, yeah, you have like it just
- 41:05Speaker 1: seems like such an interesting vibe to population eighty right exactly,
- 41:11Speaker 1: and almost everybody there probably you know, is some interesting
- 41:16Speaker 1: person of some sort. And you know, they've got like
- 41:20Speaker 1: that alien diner that they kind of showed briefly, and
- 41:23Speaker 1: I don't know, I just feel like there's a lot
- 41:25Speaker 1: of potential there, Like it's kind of like, uh, the
- 41:27Speaker 1: town in Trimmers a little bit, oh yeah, especially what
- 41:30Speaker 1: it becomes later.
- 41:31Speaker 2: But yeah, so this is where we find out that
- 41:35Speaker 2: that maniac from earlier in the episode actually dug those
- 41:38Speaker 2: sensors out of the ground.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's where it.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Makes the FBI showing up a lot more explainable. If
- 41:45Speaker 2: you ask me again.
- 41:46Speaker 1: That guy seemed like he maybe had some had something
- 41:49Speaker 1: else going on.
- 41:50Speaker 2: And York says, there's no aliens at Area fifty one,
- 41:54Speaker 2: but they're doing experimental aircraft work there, and I think
- 41:58Speaker 2: we've nailed down that point.
- 41:59Speaker 1: But yeah, I feel like, yeah, we got that, seems
- 42:03Speaker 1: that seems correct. Good job.
- 42:04Speaker 2: But Jesse venture ends the conversation and says, enough talk,
- 42:09Speaker 2: it was time for some action. Time to ride out
- 42:12Speaker 2: the Area fifty one.
- 42:14Speaker 1: The best part of every episode. Jesse in Front's Authority.
- 42:18Speaker 2: York is on a motorcycle too. It's all very cool. Yeah,
- 42:22Speaker 2: they hop off the bikes and start walking to the
- 42:25Speaker 2: boundary of Area fifty one on foot, and again, just
- 42:28Speaker 2: like every episode, Jesse Venturer wants to know why they
- 42:32Speaker 2: can't just walk onto this private government property as American citizens.
- 42:36Speaker 1: He's he's so, he just is so hung up on
- 42:39Speaker 1: being a former governor and thinking that that just imbues
- 42:43Speaker 1: him with the ultimate authority to do whatever he wants.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he's he's really taken it hard. Yeah, he wants
- 42:50Speaker 2: to know why. He because at one point, some dudes
- 42:53Speaker 2: and trucks pull up, which George Knapp, by the way,
- 42:56Speaker 2: was like, yeah, when you get there, some guys are
- 42:57Speaker 2: gonna pull up in trucks. They're gonna be up on
- 42:59Speaker 2: a hill. I mean makes sense that happens. And he's like, well,
- 43:03Speaker 2: why can't I just go talk to him and ask
- 43:05Speaker 2: him some questions. It's like, why can't you get in
- 43:09Speaker 2: close proximity to the first line of defense between this
- 43:12Speaker 2: government facility and you? I think probably just for logistical
- 43:18Speaker 2: tactical reasons if nothing else. Right, he complains about how
- 43:22Speaker 2: he's got to make a phone call, which I get that.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I hate making a phone call too.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, totally. Well, you get no signal out
- 43:29Speaker 1: in the desert, so it's just tough for him.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Yeah, he's gonna have to ride his dog all the
- 43:34Speaker 2: way back to Vegas make that phone call.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't need to think about Jesse venture as hog.
- 43:43Speaker 2: And so yeah, again, not to take the government side,
- 43:48Speaker 2: but I'm on the government side here.
- 43:49Speaker 1: I mean, come on, guys, come on now.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, like that could be some sort of hub for
- 43:55Speaker 2: our power grid or something that they just don't want
- 43:59Speaker 2: people to know a like, yeah, fucking aliens.
- 44:02Speaker 1: It might be something nefarious. Who knows. Yeah, it could
- 44:06Speaker 1: be anything that they don't want people to know about.
- 44:10Speaker 1: And they're going to defend it that Like, I'm not
- 44:12Speaker 1: saying that's good or bad. I'm just saying it makes sense. Yeah.
- 44:15Speaker 2: So next he goes to talk to Congressman Dean Heller
- 44:19Speaker 2: of Nevada.
- 44:20Speaker 1: That's his move, that's his move. He loves. I'm just
- 44:23Speaker 1: about this. I'm going to talk to the congressman and.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Like Yeah, that guy's gonna have some answers. He's got
- 44:28Speaker 2: Area fifty one. That's how politics work. Oh yeah, congressmen,
- 44:31Speaker 2: they know so much and the congressman's not there, so
- 44:35Speaker 2: now the congressman's staffers have to feel these questions.
- 44:39Speaker 1: I felt so bad for these people because what are
- 44:44Speaker 1: they supposed to do in this situation?
- 44:47Speaker 2: And they make the most logical argument possible, which is, dude,
- 44:52Speaker 2: we don't have that kind of security Clarence, why are
- 44:54Speaker 2: you asking us about area fifty one?
- 44:56Speaker 1: They're like interns.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Yeah, d like blaming it on security clearance. Hate is
- 45:03Speaker 2: what the problem is.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Jess Like, honestly, he's talked to some random guy and
- 45:08Speaker 1: an office, and he's expecting him to blow the cover.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Yeah. One of the people he talks to is his
- 45:13Speaker 2: press secretary. It's like that guy doesn't say shit, you know,
- 45:17Speaker 2: someone else doesn't tell him to say exactly.
- 45:19Speaker 1: His whole job is to repeat what he is told
- 45:22Speaker 1: to say.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Although it would have been funny if that guy was like,
- 45:26Speaker 2: holy shit, I've been waiting for you to show up.
- 45:28Speaker 1: You want to fucking straight dirt. I have got it
- 45:31Speaker 1: for you, man. I am so glad you can't.
- 45:34Speaker 2: And his fucking head just explodes, Oh no, they got him.
- 45:39Speaker 2: So then yeah, he gets mad that they don't have
- 45:42Speaker 2: security clearance, and then he delivers a pro wrestling monologue.
- 45:47Speaker 1: About how he ends every episode.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Staying on the government's case about Area fifty one.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Now listen here, government, I'm not gonna let this slide.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna take it to the to the map. We're
- 46:00Speaker 1: gonna go at it. You got to come.
- 46:02Speaker 2: And then he ends up by saying, what are they
- 46:05Speaker 2: gonna do? Arrest me?
- 46:06Speaker 1: And yeah, they might, yeah, probably, you know, they might
- 46:10Speaker 1: kill you if if you actually get close to something like, yeah,
- 46:14Speaker 1: it's the government. You're like, that's the whole thing. It's
- 46:16Speaker 1: so weird about this show because it is simultaneously so
- 46:21Speaker 1: mistrustful of the government and yet also so adamant that
- 46:27Speaker 1: the government like should been to his will and like
- 46:32Speaker 1: like has no power over him or you know.
- 46:36Speaker 2: But he's so you know, skeptical of the Olivia he
- 46:41Speaker 2: was a governor that you know.
- 46:42Speaker 1: What, So fuck fuck that's true. I you know, I
- 46:46Speaker 1: hadn't even thought about that.
- 46:47Speaker 2: So he he he does. That comes with a certain
- 46:50Speaker 2: level of respect and cache that will get you into
- 46:54Speaker 2: any secret government project.
- 46:56Speaker 1: I mean sires exactly. That's what the that's what that
- 47:00Speaker 1: weird meeting he had with the CIA agents that came
- 47:04Speaker 1: up in an earlier episode was all about he They
- 47:07Speaker 1: were like, here, here's all the security clearances that what.
- 47:09Speaker 2: Do you need to know? Yeah, yeah, that's the thing.
- 47:12Speaker 2: He knows how these interactions are going to go every time. Right,
- 47:15Speaker 2: it's all show worked in government, he knows. But he
- 47:19Speaker 2: puts on a good show.
- 47:20Speaker 1: He does. He does. It's it's fun to watch him
- 47:23Speaker 1: do his thing. It's just like, you know, he's just
- 47:26Speaker 1: comes off as kind of an idiot honestly, which is,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you know, not what I would go for on my
- 47:33Speaker 1: TV show maybe, but okay.
- 47:35Speaker 2: But he's an idiot with a motorcycle. And that's more
- 47:37Speaker 2: than I can say about myself.
- 47:38Speaker 1: So what that's true? Same for me?
- 47:40Speaker 2: Yeah, So I think that's our episode.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Do we have anything to plug before we get out
- 47:48Speaker 2: of here?
- 47:49Speaker 1: Uh? You can find me at high their hidar on Twitter.
- 47:53Speaker 1: That's that's about it. If you would absolutely really liked
- 47:57Speaker 1: Uh that nothing much.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Uh. The only thing I have to plug is I
- 48:03Speaker 2: don't have nothing. I don't have anything plugs. You know,
- 48:06Speaker 2: this is a bonus episode You're doing everything I need
- 48:08Speaker 2: you to do, so uh, let's get out of here.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Olivia say goodbye, bye, goodbye. Everybody, check your pets for ticks.
- 48:18Speaker 2: We love you.
