- 0:00Because fuck you. That's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media
- 0:04Network. Hey what up, man, it's Pants and Saron here coming at
- 0:40you with a new episode, episode one seventy of b F Y t W
- 0:44Because fuck you. That's why. I don't take it personally, I do
- 0:50take it. We still love you anyway. I'm here with our lovable,
- 0:57luscious little friends here. Lucia should not be words. Come on, you
- 1:03can be both lovable and luscious at the same time. I guess. Yeah,
- 1:10after our soak or two luscious, if you can't tell mine now,
- 1:15it's gonna be more of a chill episode. We feel were we deserve it.
- 1:21We put in a lot of work over the last couple of weeks.
- 1:23Yeah, put out some amazing shows that I'm very, very proud of.
- 1:29Yes, and Augie meant to do the same, but it apparently I m
- 1:37kind of fucked it up. For lack of a better word. Well,
- 1:44so let me let me just give a brief description of what happened. So
- 1:49I've talked about it on the show before. Steve and I took a trip
- 1:53by ourselves down to Philadelphia and New Jersey chair and we will go over the
- 1:59events of that, but because we wanted to record a show while we were
- 2:01there, Stevie took the majority of the recording equipment with him, leaving Augie
- 2:07a somewhat basic setup, if I understand correctly, no basic. I took
- 2:13the entire studio with us because my assumption was Aggie didn't need any of the
- 2:16equipment to record what he was going to do. And I was like,
- 2:20oh, okay, cool, So what you thought he was just going to
- 2:22do it over discording? Yes, that's so. I was like, okay,
- 2:24cool. So I took everything with us, all right, So what
- 2:29went wrong? Okay? So here's the thing about audacity. Yep. Not
- 2:35only has it recently had an update which makes its UI completely fucking unreadable,
- 2:40but in order to record different like any any audio from different sources, yeah,
- 2:50you have to set it up prior. And even then, good luck
- 2:54figuring out where what's coming from what, because there's like a million things choose
- 3:00from and none of them makes sense. And basically what would have happened was
- 3:05I would have recorded and all you would have heard was my voice, yeah,
- 3:08and nothing else. One side. That's It's the one thing I honestly
- 3:13hate about modern recording software, Like you really have to make it easy for
- 3:20people, especially people who aren't like fucking sound engineers. Yeah, because it
- 3:24took me the longest time to realize that the reason I was screwing up my
- 3:30recordings and my streams and all that stuff is because I didn't have like a
- 3:34mix set up, yeah, so that it could record everything from one source.
- 3:38And there's no fucking way, even in Windows, which should be as
- 3:43configurable as hell, to record from all sources simultaneously. Like it should just
- 3:49be like one of the options and the record from the recording device, all
- 3:53of them. Like that would be simple, super simple, and then you
- 3:58just de select whichever, just delete anything you don't want. You know that
- 4:01if something does show up from fucking one of those mics you fucking haven't hooked
- 4:08up in twenty years, but it's still listed there, you know, you
- 4:11just like fuck it, delete it, and then you're good to go,
- 4:13and you just have just the ones you want. Like it seems like this
- 4:15should be easy, and yet it's not easy for some dumb reason, right,
- 4:20it's so stupid. I mean I get I kind of get why.
- 4:24You know, like actual physical sound mixers, you know, have to do
- 4:30it because I guess that's the way that the sound works when it travels over
- 4:33lines. You can't just like merge the two, can't just like you need
- 4:39a need an actual device that merges them for you, which is why we
- 4:42have mixer boards. Correct, But like on Windows, it's it's all fucking
- 4:47ones and zeros, man, it's all it's all fucking ones and zeros.
- 4:51It's true, Like, why can't you just just just fucking do it,
- 4:56just fucking do it. Why don't you do it? They don't do it?
- 4:59Yeah, and so Aggie was fucked. Yeah. It also didn't help
- 5:01that I was also working that whole time too, so like I had no
- 5:06free time, free time to actually set it up. So like even if
- 5:11say I had time to prepare, I probably maybe would have pulled something off
- 5:15that would have been presentable. But yeah, it's just not enough time and
- 5:21just too complicated now of a program. Right, But yeah it is too
- 5:28I get it. I fucked it up. No, No, it's technology,
- 5:32fucking I get it. I think it was hard. I totally understand
- 5:36inquiry okay, response also error immediately sen motherfuck lose green nu dead never started
- 6:01and the task and the task did you want to use our themes for our
- 6:09episode today? Since it's just the three of us? Fuck it, let's
- 6:13do it awesome? Uh, you play anyone step and well yeah, you
- 6:33stars for a laughter too. I never get to be the first one,
- 6:40right, I'm I'm glad I didn't cover my eyes through that whole thing so
- 6:44I could actually see what I was pressing, because I if I would have
- 6:46pressed the wrong thing, we would have started the show over again. Let's
- 6:49not do that. Let's not do that. I don't mean, like we
- 6:53said, the tablet, like the dartboard. Just just pick any of them.
- 6:58That's what I meant, you know. But you know what I'm gonna
- 7:00do. We gotta look up. There's a random sound soundboard program you can
- 7:04put on here. You just add a bunch of sounds to in her frandom
- 7:06week right now. Well we can say that for next time. Oh yeah,
- 7:12yeah, for now. But yeah, I don't have an introductory question.
- 7:16Those are more for real shows anyway, Like this is just chill show,
- 7:19So no question. Let's just move immediately into the next theme. Yeah,
- 7:27one of the two of you this time, that one, this one,
- 7:34Yeah, that's me. You want to see my weird asshole. I've
- 7:39already seen it, everyone seen it today. Stop showing it, all right,
- 7:46and now to bring everybody down. He's a and by that I mean
- 8:11is in calm, not depressed. No, I should wear that relaxes the
- 8:18far, not deprissed, just like that song is. So I love.
- 8:22We're just basically sitting here listening to music, right completely first time it counts
- 8:28to the show. We're just sitting around listening to our theme song. Yeah,
- 8:31it's all good. Y'all like it like you wouldn't let us. Don't
- 8:37tell me, don't tell me you don't like it. I don't have those
- 8:39emails. Only give me the good handmails, the happy emails, right,
- 8:45that's all we want. So, um, I guess we should talk about
- 8:50our trip, man. I think that's cool. Actually, I really tried
- 8:52to keep some of it obscure from Aggie, so so we didn't get into
- 8:58it till we actually had a Yeah show worrying about it. He's like,
- 9:01I'd love to talk to you about your my trip, but there's an NA
- 9:05but there's no microphone in this room. So, and why are you in
- 9:09the bathroom with me? Again? Told me? And it was your asshole,
- 9:18weird asshole. Mine's like the capital at her x um. It's always
- 9:26angry um so um. Before we went on, windmills were spinning the water.
- 9:39It was like a little propellers every time I poo. It's gonna have
- 9:45to cut them off every couple of seconds too, because I want to see
- 9:46that propeller if it don't happen on this trip, man, it was good.
- 9:52Too much fun? Is it? Is it possible? Too much fun?
- 9:56We started off um by leaving down of course. I picked I picked
- 10:03CV up early in the morning in my truck and we just drove down in
- 10:07in Chiockey my truck, and yeah, we had a super chill drive down.
- 10:11Nothing notable really happened. It was just just a calm trip down.
- 10:13Yeah. Comfortable drive. I'll give you this, dude, no joke.
- 10:16Your truck the passenger side fucking comfy. Yeah, comfee is Like I was
- 10:22chill. I love the whole time, the space that that truck gives you
- 10:26right Like you know, in a lot of my former cars, I was
- 10:31uncomfortable even at the horror it's still cramped in there. Yeah it was.
- 10:35It was so cramped, uh and unfun, and I hated it. And
- 10:39so when like I immediately when I got my truck, I was like I
- 10:43I need the exact opposite experience. I need too much space. Yes,
- 10:48give me so much space that I can just like laze just like completely just
- 10:54collapse and you know, roll over, do whatever the fuck I want to
- 10:56roll over so much fucking rude, like you can literally, yeah, you
- 11:03cross your legs or whatever the fuck you can sit however the fuck you want
- 11:07doesn't matter. That car is like do what you want man and jumbo jet
- 11:11car. Yeah, and the shocks are still pretty good, so like not
- 11:13getting shook up over every bumping right in the road. And the air conditioner
- 11:18worked the entire time. Yep, that was a three hundred dollar expenditure.
- 11:22You're welcome than No, I'm glad because it was fucking hot. Yeah,
- 11:26like that would it would have been a really been a little uncomfortable, like
- 11:30even with the wind, just the fans on the windows open and like,
- 11:33yeah, so our first adventure when we got to Philadelphia, it was parking.
- 11:37Well, actually our first adventure was getting into the hotel with Yeah,
- 11:41thanks to New Jersey being fucking New Jersey, you can only get into the
- 11:45hotel like like you had to drive the right way down the road. You
- 11:50had to be going north or south one of the two. You couldn't go
- 11:52the other way and make a left, because making it left is illegal in
- 11:56New Jersey because they're fuck you're fucking or miss assholes. It's because they're children.
- 12:01They have to treat them like children. And the only way that they
- 12:05were look like, okay, everybody, you can only go this way.
- 12:07That that's it. If you want to make a Nope, you gotta go
- 12:09all way up here first, dude, this loop de loop ship and the
- 12:11didn't even go left Everywherely, I would say something like, we don't mean
- 12:15to offend the cousins of New Jersey. We absolutely mean to afend, like
- 12:20the gas traffic system is fucked. I wasn't there. I don't know I
- 12:24know what they're talking about. Anyway, Oh my god. Once we once
- 12:26we went up a little ways, turned around and came back the other way
- 12:31so we could get into our hotel. Um, we had the misfortune of
- 12:35timing our arrival with that of a funeral party. Oh my god. So
- 12:39it was like a thirty minute wait to get checked in, which kind of
- 12:43sucked that I think that's being kind. Yeah, I think you are being
- 12:46kind because a couple of times I started getting edged on the walk outside this.
- 12:50It was being kind because the dude behind the counter was all alone.
- 12:52He was and it wasn't his fault, and I felt bad for him,
- 12:56so I didn't. I didn't give him any ship because I've I've worked that.
- 13:00Oh yeah, I've been in that situation when thirty people come to check
- 13:03in all at once, and that fucking suns It's like, why why are
- 13:05this as many people here? And the person didn't get to be fair like
- 13:09this is at least partially on the owner's slash manager, like they had they
- 13:13had no one there and they had to sign up complaining about the employee shortage,
- 13:18which that dude could have been the owner for all I know. But
- 13:20when I got up to check in, I looked at his equipment and it
- 13:24was all the same shit that my hotel, the one I worked at like
- 13:28ten years ago, stopped using like five years before I left. So he's
- 13:33got like twenty thirty year old fucking equipment. Oh my god, he's running
- 13:39off DOS prompt exactly like it was. So it was so bad, Like,
- 13:45no wonder this check in sequence takes so long. You're fucking you're doing
- 13:48everything the absolute hardest possible way, Like like they can get like three hun
- 13:56laptop and it would be en upgrade. Yeah, exactly, exactly. And
- 14:01this is like I'll go ahead and say it was the red roof and in
- 14:03Trent. Okay, with that, the room was great. Yes, I
- 14:07have no complaints at all about the conditioner worked fucking great. And checkout was
- 14:11symbol super simple. I just handing the key and I was, I was
- 14:15done. It was perfect. The only complaint I had was about that checking
- 14:18sequence, which if we hadn't come in at the same time as the funeral
- 14:22party, wouldn't have been bad. But at the same time, it's just
- 14:24like, holy shit, dude. Yeah, the area wasn't bad, Like,
- 14:28it wasn't horrible. I mean people hanging around outside a lot, but
- 14:31I mean that's everywhere now. So yeah, it was in the summer,
- 14:35when you expect everybody's pretty cool. So no, And our room was great.
- 14:39It was clean, it was it was excellent. I enjoyed the crap
- 14:43out of that room. I hated the bed. The bed was fucking lumpy
- 14:46as shit. It was pretty bad. I had a hard time sleeping.
- 14:50Both nights that we slept there, we talked a lot about this hotel guys.
- 14:52Just yeah, anyway, we're gonna I'm having serious from our Toronto trip.
- 15:03Oh my god, I'll get the hotel room. Let's move on.
- 15:05So our next challenge is when we got to Philadelphia. Yes, we got
- 15:09there in the middle of rush hour, so we were there to meet our
- 15:15friend Caroline from the Ultra Hooe Girls. We got to her street and her
- 15:20street was packed, and so we had to drive around for a good few
- 15:24minutes looking for an alternative parking space. And if you didn't find anything,
- 15:26if you don't know anything about Philadelphia's streets, especially within the city and like
- 15:31the area all around it, they're the old city blocks, the originals,
- 15:35they're fucking narrow as hell, and they're all one ways. They're all one
- 15:41way streets. You can park on both sides, but yeah, there's only
- 15:46one there's only room for one car down the middle, so it's all one
- 15:50way. And so it was kind of amaze to work our way around there
- 15:54and we didn't find anything, but that's good because Caroline eventually got a hold
- 15:58of us and told us the two spots of just open up right in front
- 16:00of her house, and we're like, okay, we got to get back
- 16:03there now, right. Uh. Fortunately Caroline held them because Maddie showed up
- 16:07is literally the exact same time we did. Yeah. When we got there,
- 16:11we were behind someone trying to park and we're like, oh crap,
- 16:15you know, and I could see Caroline in the street and then I was
- 16:17like, hey, wait a minute, I think that's Maddie in the car
- 16:18ahead of us. So she literally arrived at the exact same time we did.
- 16:25Everybody. We eventually both got parked and then we got out and we
- 16:29hugged everybody and we schelled them. We got to actually meet Caroline and Maddie
- 16:33of the Ultra Hope girls in that question. Uh, and we didn't embarrass
- 16:37ourselves too badly, I don't think so. I mean it let us comes
- 16:41part. They did, let us come back. They liked us enough that
- 16:45they were like, yeah, we totally need to do this again. But
- 16:48see the whole time, I'm glad. I'm glad people, so if they
- 16:52could tolerate that, yeah, for two days. Yeah, it was two
- 16:56days. It was a lot of fun. We had a lot of laughs.
- 17:00Um, we we went to where was it, middle Child Restaurant.
- 17:04We went to that night Child, middle Child, that's the name of it.
- 17:07Yeah, middle Child Restaurant or something like that. Yeah, it's the
- 17:11same one that Marty McFly went to like the day after we did, and
- 17:14I was so mad. Oh goshus we just we just missed. What's his
- 17:18name? I called him Marty McFly, But yeah, Michael J. Fox.
- 17:26There was There was a con in in Philadelphia at the same time.
- 17:30We thought about going to it, but we were like, nah, I
- 17:32just want to spend time with these people. Um. But the entire Back
- 17:34to the Future crew was there, and apparently Michael J. Fox ate at
- 17:38the Middle Child restaurant the day after we did. That was the place I
- 17:41had the cool water in the bottles, right, yes and then yes,
- 17:44yes, got he's a movie star, Aaron's famous. Now they were shooting
- 17:49something at the time they were shooting some day came over and asked me specifically
- 17:52if she could pour me a bottle, like a glass of wine because I
- 17:57had ordered one, And this guy with cameras set up in front of me
- 18:02and I just watched. It was freaking hilarious. It was great. It
- 18:10was perfect. I was full on ham mode and I loved it. Did
- 18:14they ask you to ham it up for no? No, They're probably like,
- 18:19we can't use this. Look at this gets I'll just do this with
- 18:22somebody else, like and there's me trying to get the tattoo in there and
- 18:26ship I'm trying to like Okay, super fun. That just just like some
- 18:33random commercial. Holy fuck. Yeah, we gotta look at it up later
- 18:41and see if it's out. The food, it's like I think it's a
- 18:48largely like vegan restaurant, but like I got the what was it like pork
- 18:52cutlets or something like that. Yeah, it was like it was like a
- 18:56pork chop, but it was really big. I think it was huge.
- 19:00It was massive. I was bigger. I thought it was going to be
- 19:02at that place to tiny or song like a little chop. I mean that's
- 19:06the thing like as as non vegan eaters like you hear vegan and you think,
- 19:11Okay, it's gonna be like on asparagus, but that's that's not exactly
- 19:19how to be in the caveat that the asparagus that we did have there that
- 19:27we did get as they got they got an asparagus plate to share, so
- 19:33we called it a hush um. We were all very silly. I was
- 19:45so delighted to see that Caroline Maddie because five I have them in my head
- 19:52at being on this like this intellectual level higher than we because because let's be
- 19:57honest, we're basically doing stone comedy. Yeah god yeah, yeah, Like
- 20:03if we were to go on their podcast, like their podcast is mostly like
- 20:06high end literary analysis, it's intellectual. Yeah, it's extremely solar opposite.
- 20:12Right when we all got together, there was this fear in the back of
- 20:15my mind, but as soon as we met, it was just gonna be
- 20:19the most embarrassing thing ever because they were going to be these I don't know,
- 20:23I didn't think of them necessarily as like high brow intellectual people. They
- 20:27clearly liked this enough to come on our show multiple times, so you know.
- 20:33But it just that first evening when we were all sitting down and seeing
- 20:37Caroline and Maddie being just as silly as we were, Oh my god,
- 20:40it took a lot of the edge off and I was like, Okay,
- 20:41I can relax. I get there's nothing to worry about it here, and
- 20:45there really wasn't. We had a great time, and it surprised like I
- 20:49wasn't really too I mean, I've met people on the internet plenty of times,
- 20:53and knowing these ladies the way we have just through the interaction we had,
- 20:57I was like, I'm alost't too worried. I'm like, this is
- 21:00gonna be cool. It's gonna be fun. Yeah, they get us already.
- 21:03If they didn't, they wouldn't be hanging around with you, and definitely
- 21:06not me, Like there's no joke about like, come on, think about
- 21:10that. Yeah, you gotta have to know Stevie going into it. Yeah,
- 21:14because I can be too much like a lot sometimes. But yeah I
- 21:18had to pull you back once or twice. Yeah, but not a lot.
- 21:19You were you were pretty good and they handled what was there. So
- 21:23yeah, yeah, so that was And then I think we finished our first
- 21:29day by just coming back to the apartment after that, and and we just
- 21:33chilled in Caroline's place in Sarah's place and uh and we hung out and played
- 21:37some silly board games. We played Loaded Questions. Yeah. That was fun.
- 21:42Yeah, that was a good time. We got I got like ice
- 21:45break their game. I think I drank a little bit, not a lot.
- 21:48I had like one or something. Yeah, uh and uh and uh.
- 21:55Stevie got a little high, just a little though, just just a
- 22:00little a little. We played loaded questions and we had an absolute blast.
- 22:06It was very silly, very very silly, lots of laft um. And
- 22:11then I couldn't figure out a door. Oh my god, we like you
- 22:17were talking about. We were discussing like whether or not because initially, when
- 22:22I posed the plans to Caroline, she had intimated, or at least I
- 22:26had gotten the impression that we were to stay with them the first night.
- 22:32But then again I didn't know Maddie was coming as well, and I didn't
- 22:34know if there was going to be space for all three of us. So
- 22:37when when the night ended, I was like, so what do we do
- 22:40now? Do we do we stay or do we wrap the night up?
- 22:44Um? And I was like, our hotels only like an hour away.
- 22:47We just met these people like a few hours ago. Let's not cramp their
- 22:51style any We'll just go back to the hotel, sleep there and come back
- 22:53tomorrow. And that is what we did. But trying to leave somehow how
- 23:00I forgot entirely how doors worked. It was pretty spectacular, it was,
- 23:03It was really it was an impressive demonstration of stupidity that will probably haunt me
- 23:11the rest of my days. I stood there, turning the dead bolt back
- 23:15and forth, over and over again, and then turning the doorknob, and
- 23:18still not getting anywhere for a good I don't know how long. It was,
- 23:25very long. It was an embarrassing length of time. Too long.
- 23:27It was an embarrassing length of time. And then somebody said, did you
- 23:30get the lock on the doorknob? Now? Mind you, this happened not
- 23:34the first night, though, that was the second day. That that was
- 23:37the first night it was. Yes, I thought the first thing, you
- 23:40just couldn't figure it out. In the second day you figured out how to
- 23:42do it. That may be true, traffic, I remember, But the
- 23:48initial the initial event, the one that set it off and made me feel
- 23:51incredibly stupid. Was that one. Yeah, Because it was just before the
- 23:55night was going to end and we had to leave and I can't get out
- 23:57of this high. It was the dumbest fuck like, like I mean,
- 24:03in my defense, there is no defense for this. So and I let
- 24:08him drive back. Yeah back, he can't open a door. Yeah,
- 24:15it was I don't know what went wrong with my brain. I just I
- 24:18just assumed um, And I'm pretty sure the girls were a little worried,
- 24:22like, oh boy, how drunk is he? But I wasn't. I
- 24:26literally had one drink in the restaurant and one drink in their apartment, and
- 24:30it had been several hours, so I was sober. I have no excuse
- 24:34for how stupid this, none whatsoever. You know, I don't care.
- 24:40I'm glad you didn't because it made it better. I really did, Like,
- 24:44holy shit. We joked about it for the rest of the trip.
- 24:47Yeah, because Caroline is such a big Nancy fan. I was like Nancy
- 24:51Drew in the Mystery of the Unlockable Door. It was so dumb. I
- 24:59was so um and I felt so just ridiculous. But I mean I love
- 25:03it because that's the sort of thing that you can, you know, tell
- 25:07a story about from then on. You right, And you guys got that
- 25:10bond now, Yeah, Like I get to go up to any of them
- 25:12at any point out of like I couldn't get out that door. I mentioned
- 25:17it in an upcoming episode of gate Leapers. I'm like, these these silly
- 25:21things that happened to us are touchstones that become bonds in our friendship that we'll
- 25:26never forget. So I don't. I felt pretty stupid at the time,
- 25:29but I absolutely love that it happened right like you know. So it's definitely
- 25:33a plus. Definitely a plus. Should we take a break, Yeah,
- 25:36let's take a break. All right, We've got several more and I'll try
- 25:41to make it quicker. We'll be back. We'll be back right after this.
- 25:52This is Beer in Front. Every week i'll talk about a beer maybe
- 25:57we've forgotten along the way while we get those check ins and badges. Being
- 26:03the Chicago beer guy, I'll also talk about great craft beer in the city
- 26:08of Chicago. And remember, sometimes the beer in front of you is the
- 26:14best one yet. That's Beer in Front, part of the Odd Pods Media
- 26:18Network. Amen, welcome back. So yeah, we were right in the
- 26:36middle of a chill show. And this is the point at which we would
- 26:37usually listen to a voicemail or go over an email or comment where you've received
- 26:41on our Patreon we've got nothing, but we don't got one, so what
- 26:48the fuck? Listener um, Seriously, we need you to make our content
- 26:53for us by to entertain you. Yes, exactly, we need you to
- 27:03do what no? Please laugh? Um, we're getting a lot of lights
- 27:07out all of our episodes. Yeah, that's good. I'm just saying we
- 27:11do appreciate whenever anyone calls in and leaves a voicemail. So get on that.
- 27:17We'll give instructions at the end of the show. Uh. So back
- 27:19to where we were. So after day one, Day two started pretty good.
- 27:25Yeah. We went to a little pancake place. I can't remember the
- 27:27name of it, but it was just down the road place. It was
- 27:30literally just down the road from the Red Roof and it was it was literally
- 27:33called something like some some name, Somebody's pancake restaurant. It was something like
- 27:38that. Yeah, it was. They had some amazing options. I think
- 27:41I went with the chocolate and peanut butter chip pancakes, yeah, which was
- 27:49fucking really good. I wanted to They had a caramel apple though, that
- 27:53I really wanted to try if we went back. We didn't wind up going
- 27:56back, but it was a good breakfast and you did all right right.
- 27:59Yeah. I think I had just eggs and toast that time. Because I'm
- 28:02not a big breakfast guy Asian. I'm always worried about Stevie eating. After
- 28:04the Las Vegas trip, so I was just keeping an eye making sure he's
- 28:10definitely ill. I just don't want it to be definitely ill, especially now
- 28:14for this trip. I um like, I need a hamster ball. So
- 28:23we went, we went back, We drove back down to Philly and it
- 28:27was way easier to find a parking spot. Oh my god. I stayed
- 28:30in this one for a while. Um. And we met up with the
- 28:33girls and they hadn't done breakfast yet, so they're like, let's go to
- 28:36this Armenian place that's literally four blocks away. So we walked all the way
- 28:41down to this little this little Armenian restaurants. Yeah. I think it was
- 28:45the Two Easy Eagles. Yeah, and it was. It was really really
- 28:49cool place. Um, I dug it. Since I had just eaten a
- 28:53huge I was like, I can't have anything. So I was just like,
- 28:57I ordered like a fruit late. I was gonna say, if we're
- 29:00plateing, MS, that's what you do. I was like, can I
- 29:03just get like a fruit cup or something? Just something? I'm sure she
- 29:07looked at my massive ass and was like, this guy could have fed,
- 29:11could have eaten so much that we could have made so much money off him,
- 29:15and he just wants out of a bench. I was just but it
- 29:21felt good because it was warm too, Yeah, in the sun, so
- 29:22that it was it was the walkdown was pretty hot, and getting to eat
- 29:29like delicious chilled fruit was like a huge relief. It was so so good.
- 29:33Yeah, I really I probably would have gone with that even if I
- 29:37hadn't been They said they'd bring all their everybody did it to that place when
- 29:41they go Yeah, and I'm glad and I absolutely loved it. And if
- 29:45we go back, I'm going to insist that that's one of the spots we
- 29:47hit because I didn't try any of the Armenian cuisine. There were an I
- 29:53didn't try any of them, but it would have been cool to try.
- 29:56Yeah, I wanted to get rink food food, but I just wasn't that
- 29:59hungry. Yeah, because you did breakfast, I guess. So anyway,
- 30:04we went from there back to Caroline's apartment. We set up the recording uh,
- 30:10and we recorded the episode of n F y tw Philly Style, which
- 30:15was so much fun. I just love when I started pulling out the equipment.
- 30:18It was crazy fun. But this is where I realized, Doggie,
- 30:22you were absolute value to the show is immense because I had to run both
- 30:27the like the soundboard and the players, buzzers and and host at the same
- 30:33time. And this was like juggling three live kittens. I kept running away,
- 30:41getting away, clawing and clawing me at the same time. It was
- 30:45it was it was listened to the episode. We had fun, but I
- 30:48was kind of a disaster. Um. But it was still a really fun
- 30:52episode and I really liked how it all turned out. So uh, yeah,
- 30:56it was great. We had a lot of fun and we got a
- 30:59good out of it. I'm really thrilled with it, and please with it.
- 31:02That's another one of those touchdowns. Um. And yeah, we had
- 31:07a good time. And then we had to pack everything up up. Um.
- 31:12But yeah, once we were packed up, then I think it was
- 31:15dinner time at that point. I think, so I went out to dinner.
- 31:18I don't remember off top of my head. Where where did we go
- 31:22after that? Was it another close by place again? We got we gotta,
- 31:27we gotta We did get number and we went to I can't remember the
- 31:33name of the Triangle something or other Corners Triangle club something like that. I
- 31:38can't remember. I didn't take a picture of that one. Yeah, I
- 31:41don't remember off top of my head. Either it was this um tri ale
- 31:47in the triangle corner or something. Yeah, the triangle corner. I don't
- 31:51remember the triangle corner. I have no idea corners. It was well,
- 31:55I mean it was. It was pretty well named because it's it's like at
- 31:59the it's at the corner of a you know, two or three streets and
- 32:04okay, and there's it's a pretty good um oh so it's probably like Tricord.
- 32:08It's a solid place. They had a bar, and they had a
- 32:12lot of again a lot of vegan options and a bunch of regular ones.
- 32:15I don't remember what I got. Did I get just like a burger?
- 32:17I don't remember. I don't even remember that place. I remember us talking
- 32:22and have a good that's all I remember. I remember having a great time.
- 32:24I don't remember that place at all, Yeah, at all. I
- 32:27remember. I remember the decres. I remember it wasn't the dark place we
- 32:31had a long time. Yeah it was. It was a bit darker than
- 32:35Middle Child, and it was it was a bit more crowded too. Yeah,
- 32:38it was good. Every place they took us somewhere else so excellent.
- 32:44We had a good time, and then we walked from there, like a
- 32:47block and a half away to this bar, uh, and we sat and
- 32:52we played a drinking game on Caroline's phone. Yeah I can't. Basically,
- 32:57like, you know, you passed the phone to the next person, have
- 33:00to do a thing or or give somebody penalties and they have to drink,
- 33:04you know, stuff like that. It was super fun, but I think
- 33:07I scared everybody in the bar when I was told to do a German accent,
- 33:12just immediately started shouting. I could see everybody beyond our table their eyes
- 33:22widened just a little bit, and I was like, I think I went
- 33:24too far. It's the actor part of me just comes out and I just
- 33:32immediately launched it. But I toned it down for the rests to the gate
- 33:37because I had to keep it going to It was a long time though.
- 33:40I kept it up for a good looked um say I'm sorry. But we
- 33:45basically all did silly things and drank a bunch and I tried some. They
- 33:51had a bunch of ips there, but interestingly, the one I tried was
- 33:53from Buffalo. Like, I'm in Philly, I'm gonna try one. I
- 33:58could get with it, I know how that man? Right, Yeah,
- 34:00it was it was. I can't remember what it was called, but it
- 34:04was good. Yeah, it was good. That crazy uh yeah, No,
- 34:08we had a lot of fun there. Uh. And then we went
- 34:10to this little dive bar that they knew about. Apparently this place used to
- 34:15be like a really big it was called like dirty dirty something around. I
- 34:21don't know, it wasn't remember it was it was. It was kind of
- 34:23a kind of something, kinds of whole place, clung bar, dirty whole
- 34:30yeah, dirty hole. But it was it was cool. I like that,
- 34:35you know, I genuinely I did too, and had a lot of
- 34:37fun chilling with them there, and a lot of LGBTQ there. Yeah,
- 34:42yeah, like and that's fucking cool. I didn't realize they were represented that
- 34:45hard there was. That's fucking cool shit. Yeah. Uh. And then
- 34:49but I was, I was. I was white girl, wasted girl.
- 34:58I was. I was pretty drunk. And you know, we took an
- 35:00uber back to their place and played some more games. We did the killing
- 35:04game, right this time you put a killer in the game. Yeah,
- 35:07I forgot to mention the previous night we tried playing the killing game I'd brought
- 35:10along based around dangan Ropa, but forgot to put a killer in the mix.
- 35:15So we were all innocent, so there was literally no bad guy,
- 35:19but we were all pointing the figure and everyone everybody was so funny. Accusing
- 35:23him was not a single You're like, okay, well that was a psychological
- 35:27experiment. It's true, man, you say one of them is a killer.
- 35:34They all started accusing mother. It was kind of funny. Um,
- 35:37but I enjoyed it. But we played right this time, Yes, and
- 35:42Sarah smoked us all. I think only one person. I think it was
- 35:46Caroline. I thought it was Sarah. Yeah. Everybody else was like,
- 35:51no, it's Maddie. It's gotta be um, poor Maddie, Poor Maddie.
- 35:58Um yeah, it's just really bad luck. She didn't pick up an
- 36:02alibi. But it was fun. Yeah, I know, that was That
- 36:06was a really good time. Uh and uh it was. It was really
- 36:08fun. And it was Ziggie's birthday the next day. Yes, yes,
- 36:14yeah, but we wound up we wound up spending the night there that yeah,
- 36:17because that we were all we were all more comfortable with each other at
- 36:21this point, I feel like, and we were just like, yeah,
- 36:22it's fine. And they all drank and high and they had they had the
- 36:27extra bedroom, which was nice. Yeah, that was awesome. That was
- 36:30really cool. And the bed I slept on there was way better than one
- 36:34at the hotel. Kind of wish I could have stayed there, all right,
- 36:37but next time, yeah, next time maybe. Um In any event,
- 36:43So that was day two. Day three, we started with a goodbye
- 36:46breakfast so to speak. Yep, you know, we all went to I
- 36:52remember trying to remember because I feel like we went somewhere cool. Man.
- 37:00That's just not coming to me. We went somewhere cool for breakfast. We
- 37:04hung out. Oh yeah, it was that like sports bar kind of place
- 37:07almost, but they had they had a breakfast brunch there. You're right,
- 37:10yeah, Oh, they're gonna do a drag show. Yeah, next week.
- 37:14It's like I thought it was that weekend. I got all excited.
- 37:15I'm like, oh my god, we're gonna be here from the drag show.
- 37:17Its gonna be here like a half hour. And I'm looking like Camps
- 37:21something or something like it was named like that. I got a ridiculous s'mores
- 37:25waffle. I was like, what the why the fuck nut, let's just
- 37:30go nuts. I'm on vacation. I'm having a good time. It was
- 37:34just too much. Just got a regular waffle um in any event, uh.
- 37:43And we just hung out and chilled and enjoyed each other's company. And
- 37:45then we went back to Carolines and set our goodbyes and set off for the
- 37:52other half of our trip, which was New Jersey back to Jersey. Uh
- 37:58And should we cover that in part three? We could probably cover all that
- 38:01part three, or let's let's go to a break. We'll come back and
- 38:04we'll tell you about the last part of our trip right after this. Hi.
- 38:16I'm Shannon, I'm Jamie. We're Married with Television, Married with TV
- 38:21dot Com. We are a couple of Hollywood dormies on the outskirts of the
- 38:24film and TV industry, and we talk about our favorite TV show's music and
- 38:29the reason sometimes they talk back to us. Our podcast is Married with Television,
- 38:34One Word on Stitcher, Spotify by twos and SoundCloud. Somebody Amazon is
- 38:39here and we are a proud member of the Odd Pods Media Network. Harry
- 38:46looking Dom hey Man, Welcome back, um So. Part three is going
- 39:06to be the remainder of our trip. Um So. After we left Philadelphia
- 39:10for the final time life Yep, we traveled an hour and fifteen minutes north
- 39:17to North Brunswick, New Jersey, to make a stop that I insisted on
- 39:22from the beginning, and I definitely agreed upon it. Like the last time
- 39:28we went to New Jersey, I didn't get to go to this place,
- 39:30and I felt robbed. I felt cheated the whole trip. I was like
- 39:35so miserable, Like why did we even come down here? We weren't going
- 39:38to go to Arthur's. Yes, So this is the place I've talked about
- 39:43before on the show, and I will talk about it again because fuck you.
- 39:45That's why. Um, this place is the best steak I've ever had
- 39:51ever, bar none. Nobody does it like Arthur's, and I fucking love
- 39:55it there. Um. Their base steak is twenty four ounces. That is
- 40:01their basic ass regular steak. Yeah, it's huge, It's a pound and
- 40:07a half. It's crazy of fucking meat. Man. I was cooked however
- 40:15you want it, and braized with their house sauce, which I have to
- 40:19add is fucking incredible. Um, and uh, you know it's reasonably priced
- 40:25too. It's thirty six bucks for that. Yeah, if you're if you're
- 40:30a lunatic, you can get the double, which is forty eight ounces,
- 40:37three fucking pounds of steak. No. I couldn't do that. I fucking
- 40:45couldn't do that. I could barely do the twenty four. Yeah, and
- 40:47I was pushing myself. I was four, but I was I was gonna
- 40:53do that no matter what, Like that's this, this is the steak.
- 40:57I would cross state lines for me. So I had an incredible steak.
- 41:05Stevie, I can't remember what you got? Did you get your own?
- 41:07I got a sirloin? Got they do? They do have a smaller steak
- 41:10they have. It's still fucking still sixteen. Not only you get a sirloin,
- 41:16it's like eight you get an eight ounce sirloin. Fucking sixteen twelve.
- 41:22Yeah, Like I was like, oh shit, I forgot. It's like
- 41:28Texas. Every here they're there's there sirloin. Their smallest awible steak is sixteen
- 41:35ounces. Because yeah, like seriously, but when you go, you plan
- 41:40on staying for a bit and enjoy it because the fucking it was so good.
- 41:46Oh my god, fucking good it is it is every single time.
- 41:51That's what It's why I insist on going there. It's why why I keep
- 41:53dragging people there, Like we could go and split that sirloin and get the
- 41:59potatoes and be fine. Yeah, like things would be. You would be
- 42:01full and you'd be happy. Yeah. The only downside is we didn't have
- 42:05a fridge in our hotel, or I would have taken it back with us.
- 42:07Old, I'm like fuck as it was, I bought a bottle of
- 42:13their house sauce to take home with me. Yeah, and then I lost
- 42:15it somewhere somewhere between taking my stuff into the apartment and I'm unpacking. It
- 42:23disappeared and I don't know where it went. Oh no, you checked the
- 42:25whole tr I've been. I've looked everywhere. I've looked everywhere, and it's
- 42:30it's just gone. Uh So that kind of sucks, but it's it doesn't
- 42:34take damper off that particular part of the dart. I have to go back.
- 42:37Yeah, well I guess I just have to go again. Yes,
- 42:42you know, the thought has crossed my mind to just make a day of
- 42:44it and just drive six and a half hours to the place, eat and
- 42:47then try the six and a half hours back. Hey, people, will
- 42:52be a good way to spend a day. It would be a good Yeah.
- 42:57I just need to get away early to get there. Fucking ridiculously expensive
- 43:01way to spend a day, like just one hundred and fifty dollars in gas.
- 43:07God, well you do is you document your trip? Yeah, while
- 43:09you're going to make something out of it. Yeah, throw a little tip
- 43:12jar on there with it, Holbe, people buy you like an ounce of
- 43:15a steak in any events. So once we finished up there, then we
- 43:21drove to Atlantic Highlands. Yes, because the second part of our state our
- 43:27state visit was all about the Hollywood Babylon show Ye Modcastle cinemas in Atlantic Highlands,
- 43:34And um, I don't know about you, but I really really enjoyed
- 43:39that whole thing. Cinema every yeah, yeah, the whole thing. The
- 43:44cinema spot was difficult, but once we got there it was fine. Uh.
- 43:47And it was a short walk to get to the cinemas and standing in
- 43:52line, and we met some cool people while we were just standing in line.
- 43:55Yeah, a lot. And then Bridget and her friends caught up with
- 44:00us and Chad was that was that his name? Yeah? I kept forgetting
- 44:04his name. I kept calling him Greg. Knew it was four letters,
- 44:09you know, like Mike Bolster came. He came from La He flew in
- 44:13that day to get there to fly back out that night. It was so
- 44:17many people, uh, and they were all super cool and had a definitely
- 44:22cool time chilling with them before the thing. The cinemas themselves, I thought
- 44:27was really nicely appointed. It was really cool place, right if I if
- 44:30I lived there, I'd go there all the time. It's what I'm saying.
- 44:31Like the Declora obviously a ton of Kevin Smith stuff, but done in
- 44:36a very nice, tasteful cinema type way. It's really cool to walk around
- 44:39and through the hall. And while they do show a lot of new movies,
- 44:42they also show a lot of old ones, like and Kevin Scott had
- 44:45some brilliant ideas about like some of the stuff he's done before and since like
- 44:50they did a Clue showing that I would have loved to have gone to that,
- 44:54And I talked to Kevin Smith about that movie, like, I have
- 44:58so many thoughts about that movie, and I just genuinely love it and would
- 45:01have been cool to do a Q and A with it isn't an amazing movie
- 45:04that would be neat to sit there just for like, because he talked for
- 45:07like two hours about Clue. Yeah, that would be enough for me.
- 45:14But yeah. But anyway, well, on the day we went, we
- 45:15were there for the Hollywood Babylon Show, but we got a bit of a
- 45:19pre show that I wasn't expected. They held an auction to sell off a
- 45:23bunch of cool shit that Kevin just had lying around. Apparently helped support the
- 45:29theater and stuff, because it's hard to run a theater and actually take money,
- 45:32pay everybody and pay for a movie and show. So I guess every
- 45:36now and then they do these little auctions, and they were doing one in
- 45:37front of our show, and there was a lot of really cool shit.
- 45:40Yeah, there was some stuff that I would have gone for if like the
- 45:45price had been decent, but I was like, they seem a little up
- 45:47there. But John, you know what, that's fine. Their collectibles and
- 45:51he signed practically everything or wore anything. I remember when we did get their
- 45:55Bridget hooked us up with snacks in gatorade. Yeah. Yeah, bought our
- 46:00sits and stuff, which was unnecessary, but we love you Bridget. Yeah,
- 46:04Josh Rauch said hi to him and stuff. Yeah, so I got
- 46:07that. I got that hang with him for a bit outside was pretty neat
- 46:09um. And then yeah, the auction went for about an hour. I
- 46:13think, yeah, something like that. There was some really cool shit in
- 46:15there. Yeah, um, including uh like what was it like a like
- 46:21a like a birthday party package or something like that. Yes, where you
- 46:24could get like twenty of your closest friends and just watch any movie you wanted
- 46:30to with Kevin Smith and he would do just for your twenty stress for you
- 46:35and your twenty friends or whatever. I was like, holy shit, and
- 46:38that would be super cool. He started and I started thinking about like what
- 46:42movie when I hit what movie would I inflict on Kevin Smith? And just
- 46:50like, sorry, Kevin, I'm gonna make you watch Brain Donors. Yeah.
- 46:55He I'm sure he's seen that ship being an indie guy, I don't
- 46:58know. I think he might have. He is. He is pretty into
- 47:01a cinema. But yeah, and funniest movies ever. Um. Yeah,
- 47:07they actually went pretty cool. We saw like Mike got some of him he
- 47:12was sitting next to me, and then uh, Bridget's friend she got some
- 47:15stuff and up she got she got the jersey. Yeah it was a Marvel
- 47:19jersey that keV Smith wore and he signed, yeah, yeah it was.
- 47:23She got that. It was hot yep. And then uh, after that,
- 47:28like I kept going outside to get high and then hang out with people
- 47:31who are outside talk talked to you because when I when we go to these
- 47:36I love just talking to people. I saw about he was oddly something of
- 47:40a mini celebrity. People kept recognizing him and haysaying hey, Steve, Hey,
- 47:45how's going. It was like, holy shit, this is one of
- 47:49the things he revealed to me prior is just like, hey, he kept
- 47:52everything else secret, but this one he because he's like he couldn't wrap his
- 47:54mind on He's like these people kept stopping to take photos. Yeah, like
- 48:00people don't don't know why. It was just a little crazy. It was
- 48:05awesome because you're really likable but also really recognizable. Yeah, like once they
- 48:13know you, they fucking know. Yeah, but it was doubt and then
- 48:17we fucking Ralph came in before that said hi to us. Oh you weren't
- 48:22out there, were you? Hey you are, We're out in the front.
- 48:25We're getting snacks. Ralph came in. Yeah. When Ralph entered the
- 48:29place, Yeah, yeah, Ralph came in before keV got or after Kelf
- 48:31got there. He ran upstairs and got ready because every I was I just
- 48:36canna tell you about this and I forgot because I told aug I was like,
- 48:37every time I went outside the vape, the upstairs window was open and
- 48:40I kept seeing smoke come out. And I should have said so because I
- 48:43forgot Ralph smoke cigarettes. He started smoking again. I justine't be like,
- 48:46hey, w the fucker Christ walking cigarettes up there? He something And I
- 48:51don't know why I didn't. I should have just said some ships. I'm
- 48:52like, I'm out here by myself right now. I'd see him. I
- 48:54know he's sucking up there. Anyway. So the auction draws to a close
- 49:00and the show begins, and it was it was definitely a really good show.
- 49:04Yes, Like I mean, it's it's hard for me to say that
- 49:07Hollywood Babylon has any bad shows, but this was definitely a good one.
- 49:12Well, it's always entertaining, and it's always different, even though it's the
- 49:15same setups each time. It's always something I love when they when they fall
- 49:20into a running joke and they just carry it forward. Yeah, just like
- 49:22when he read a letter from a fourteen year old fan who was in the
- 49:27audience. She was there with her father, and he was like, shit,
- 49:30we gotta clean this sort of holy shit, Ralph the whole time,
- 49:36just like kept calling back to looking nervously for it was so funny, fucking
- 49:42hysterical. It was cool. It was it was a laugh riot. I
- 49:45absolutely loved it. It was a great show. Yeah it was. It
- 49:47was. It was an absolutely brilliant show. Phenomenal. And then afterwards we
- 49:52got to do the meet and greet because I got the VIP tickets, yes,
- 49:55and a twenty dollars more than the regular tickets. I'm like, yeah,
- 50:01Kevin for Kevin Smith, hug and a picture right with Ralph? Why
- 50:05not? Um so, yeah, I don't know when those are coming.
- 50:09They should have been in the email. They might go into your junk email
- 50:14for the one you got the I mean I never saw it. I'll email
- 50:17Josh. But yeah, it's not a big deal. I had a great
- 50:22time and I did what I wanted to do, which is, um well,
- 50:27I Cbe and I were in line. I left Cebi go first because
- 50:30I knew Kevin would recognize him. Yeah, fucking walked away from the Ninth
- 50:35Star area. Y man, he left the area to come to me.
- 50:40When we went to Toronto. He did the exact same fucking thing like that.
- 50:44As soon as he started walking up there. As soon as he saw
- 50:46Stevie just walked out of the fucking area where they're doing the photos, just
- 50:51went up and hugged him. It was so f funny, man. And
- 50:53then Ralph gave me a big hug after that. That was fucking eating.
- 50:57We got a couple of pictures, and then we got a couple of pictures
- 51:00tat and because the fucking show. Yeah, and then I definitely got his
- 51:04money's worth on that one. Yeah. They took a lot. Ernie was
- 51:07taking the photos, which helped. Thanks Ernie. Uh. And then it
- 51:12was my turn. Yeah, Aaron locked up. I went over to is
- 51:15when I shipped the bed. So I went up and Kevin just approached me
- 51:22automatically to give me a hug, and I was like, it's so sweet,
- 51:24and I gave him a hug back, and I told him, I'm
- 51:27like, look, man, you're one of the reasons I became a writer.
- 51:30And he's like, really, no shit, and I was like,
- 51:32uh yeah, and I've got a novel coming out and he's like, no,
- 51:36ship, get out of here. And I was like yeah, this
- 51:38summer and it's gonna be published. It's great. And then the cameraman was
- 51:42like, okay, face this way on three. So I turned a you
- 51:44know, I put my arms about both Ralph and Kevin. He snapped pictures
- 51:47and I was like, thank you so much, and I walked off,
- 51:52and I realized I hadn't said a single fucking thing to Ralph. No I
- 52:00had. I had gotten so lost in telling Kevin Smith that he inspired me
- 52:07to write I have a novel coming out and I'm excited that that that.
- 52:13Ralph was like, oh, this kid doesn't give a fuck about me.
- 52:16Not Ralph, No, So Stevie wasn't paying attention to Steve didn't know and
- 52:30so funny bulls. I was like, all right, cool, and I
- 52:32felt so bad afterwards. I felt so bad. I was like, I
- 52:38was like, fuck this guy. We went We went to the bar to
- 52:42catch up with everybody afterwards, and then Ralph showed up. Well here's the
- 52:47thing, Like Bridget was doing her level best to get me fucking smashed.
- 52:52Yeah, she bought me too long Island iced teas, or rather she bought
- 52:59me the first one, and then I think her friend Stephanie second second one.
- 53:01Nobody everybody was like, we're just gonna apply this fucking due with liquor.
- 53:06So after the second one, I was pretty three sheets to the wind
- 53:08like I was. I was fucking lit. And it was also cold out
- 53:15and I didn't have a I forgot my hoodie for the trip, idiot.
- 53:17But it was crowded on the inside, so we just stayed outside and hung
- 53:21out there, even though it was cold. The Ralph and his friends were
- 53:23there because his friends from Philly were there, yea the show. We were
- 53:25all just hanging it out together, yeah, talking and shit. It was
- 53:29fucking neat. And every time every time I looked in us direction and he
- 53:35was looking back at me, just just gave me a look and then turned
- 53:42back to, you know, his other friend. He's probably just like,
- 53:44are you gonna come over and see me? You're gonna say hi to me?
- 53:46I think that's what it was. I hope. So, because my
- 53:50intention was not to offend the man, I don't think you. I think
- 53:54you thought you were just nervous, fucking right. I was nervous. Yeah,
- 53:59I'll apologize for I was super fucking I was so goddam and and after
- 54:06that I was terrified, Like we had to walk past Ralph to get out,
- 54:09and Ralph of course stood up well, hold on before even that part
- 54:15way through, while you were drinking with Steph and Bridget and everybody else there,
- 54:19I introduced Brittman to Ralph real quick because that he traveled first HBO two,
- 54:23so I had to give a shout out to britt Man because fuck yeah,
- 54:25britt Man, thanks for fucking meeting you. You and your lady are
- 54:29awesome as hell. Um. But then I ran back to the theater for
- 54:32one I was cold, and two doctor Josh Roush was doing a secret screening
- 54:37of his Parks documentary Parks, and I'm like, I can't fucking miss that
- 54:42ship, you know, So I fucking ran back and I'm not gonna say
- 54:45this shit I saw, but what I will tell you is holy fuck.
- 54:50With the span that I was there for what forty minutes maybe less than that,
- 54:52less than me a half hour, I cried twice. Yeah, but
- 54:59all also felt really really good by at the point that I had to come
- 55:04back at and I was like, I cannot wait for it to be finished.
- 55:07And even he said it there, so I know, and I know
- 55:08he said at other places Josh actually got Quentin Tarantino to be part of this.
- 55:14Yeah, and he'll be adding that part of the documentary soon, which
- 55:17is really fucking cool. But he had Parks in there doing it. He
- 55:21had his son in there, his daughter, like it was cool. Man
- 55:23Like, it's really fucking neat um. But then at that point I second
- 55:29bye to Josh, told him all I gave him. Oh, I handed
- 55:30him our shirts. I came back during the the Q or the VIP thing,
- 55:37gave him our b FY tw hydrate dr shirt for him, got one
- 55:40for keV obviously, got one for Ralph, and one for Queen Jay and
- 55:45shit. So they were really happy because Josh a few years ago hooked us
- 55:49up with three shirts and ship, and I figured it was only fair.
- 55:52Hey, you gave us some free shirts, let's let's let's hook you up
- 55:53with a few two. So they got some bfy tw mersh now and ship,
- 55:58which is cool. But yeah, and then at that point I took
- 56:00goodbye to him stuff, gave him love, so goodbye. Everybody else at
- 56:02theater. Came back to the bar where everybody else was, and Aaron was
- 56:07pretty hammered when I got back, Yeah, because I was like, all
- 56:12right, I'm cold, but I'm down there. I can hang for like
- 56:14another hour. I'll be good whatever. I just hit my pen before walking
- 56:17back over, so we're good, and we hung out for like another fifteen
- 56:22minutes. Maybe I got I went to the bar and I got like a
- 56:24coke with Grennadine. I was just like, I'm done with the drinking guys,
- 56:29sorry, like no more so. And that also was given to me
- 56:32for free, so I was like, all right, fair heck, yeah,
- 56:36Frista usually the church for that, right, But anyway, so I
- 56:43took my Freesta back outside, tried to sober up, just chilling. Didn't
- 56:47really know anybody, and Steve was gone for most of the time, so
- 56:51when Bridget wasn't around, I was just like vibing. I was chilling,
- 56:57trying not to get too drunk whatever. And then eventually we had to call
- 57:01it tonight. So Steve's like we should go, so get up, uh
- 57:06and see he goes one last time after Ralph Garmin with me right behind gone.
- 57:09Oh shit. He's like, I gotta go. Ralph. It was
- 57:15great meeting you, and shook hands on him and he's like he's like,
- 57:17yeah, good luck with the show. And then he turns, look,
- 57:20it was cool that he like gave us a good luck. He's Oh,
- 57:22that's fucking nice him to say that ship. That was cool. Ralph's always
- 57:25been really cool to me. Yeah, it's a good guy. And then
- 57:28he turns to look at me, and then he turns to look at someone
- 57:30else. We move on, and I was like, oh, man,
- 57:36fucking hell, should have said something. What what do you say at that
- 57:43point? Say sorry? Sorry, I was such a day. Sorry I
- 57:45had forgotten. And then I got nervous because I thought you'd be upset.
- 57:52It's literally already gotta say Ralph is one of those guys who'd actually understand.
- 58:00Ralph's famous people make me nervous, absolutely hysterical. I know. The primary
- 58:05reason. I know he writes most of the show. So that's the reason
- 58:07it's so good. Yes, So Ralph is an absolutely gifted comedian and writer,
- 58:12and I have nothing but boundless respect for him, even if he doesn't
- 58:16believe that, but it is true, but it is because he says it
- 58:21all the time. Yeah, I absolutely adore a Ralph. But in any
- 58:25event, so I slowly drove back to our drove. Oh you drove,
- 58:32that's right. I was way too drunk. I was like, He's like,
- 58:36you thought you got but I didn't. Remember, but I was like,
- 58:43oh shit, uh, ceb actually drove, so he drove my truck
- 58:47and we had tried to do it without the tolls because we didn't have any
- 58:50coins because all my coins were in my bag at the room. So he
- 58:53went a weird ass way back. So yeah, we took the non toll
- 58:57route, which took us ways. So how many times it is drunk cast
- 59:01to lean over to you? Go? Do you think Ralph is mad at
- 59:04me? I did bring it up in the back, you would. I'm
- 59:09gonna email Ralph. Hey, dude, so you know, my buddy,
- 59:14he was just mad nervous about around you. He just forgot to say something
- 59:16to you, and then he felt bad after and he was just scared.
- 59:21He really respects you. You can listen to it all on this podcast link.
- 59:24Ye thanks for this. Oh god, but no, it was.
- 59:30It was a good night. And then it's good to see nothing really changed
- 59:34while I wasn't there. Before we left, we talked to Chad and Bridget
- 59:37We were going to meet them the next morning before but he took off and
- 59:40we did. Yeah, which is great. I'm glad we did because I'm
- 59:43glad I got to actually meet Chat and talk to him like he actually very
- 59:45talked to him, talked to him. He's a very cool dude. Yeah,
- 59:49what branch of the arm services was, he was the Air Force combat
- 59:52photographer and he's retiring. Yeah, so what fucking do Congrats that's Fantastic's huge,
- 59:59Like a lot of people don't get that, like I unfortunately couldn't,
- 1:00:01Like I wish I could have, but fucked that huge to be able to
- 1:00:05get that done. So like, med props to you, bro. So
- 1:00:07um. Yeah, we went in the morning to breakfast with Bridget and Chad
- 1:00:13and hung out and had a great time. I can't remember that play.
- 1:00:15It was a little mug place. Yeah, I can't remember the name of
- 1:00:19it, but it was mug something, lug diner, no, I mug
- 1:00:22something. I don't know. It was a cute little place though, some
- 1:00:25red hot tricolors like corners. Well here's the thing. They apparently just had
- 1:00:30a hug had a massive collection of coffee mugs from all different places different.
- 1:00:36Yeah. Yeah, so every every coffee mug was different and it was super
- 1:00:39cool. Uh and you know it was morning, so we basically all got
- 1:00:43coffee. U So yeah, that was set coffee and we had breakfast and
- 1:00:49we took some pictures with Bridget and Chad, and then we set our goodbyes
- 1:00:53and came on home. And once again on the trip home was pretty uneventful,
- 1:00:59which is good. Yeah, it was a nice, safe trip back.
- 1:01:00So yeah, so you can really ask for it. It was.
- 1:01:04It was a good trip. Not like the trip where we saw a car
- 1:01:07on fire at the beginning of the trip. That was funny though, because
- 1:01:14like that sign of things that come shit super crazy. But yeah, that's
- 1:01:19the story of the trip to Philly, New Jersey, and the friends we
- 1:01:22made along the way, and the animis you're made possibly and the minor dealist
- 1:01:29celebrities that we pissed off. Don't pull me into this circle with you.
- 1:01:35I'm not going down that drain you are part of with anything panss. Aaron
- 1:01:44says, No, it was, it was. It was a fucking phenomenal
- 1:01:50trip from beginning to end. I'm sorry you couldn't. Yeah, honestly,
- 1:01:53the only thing that would have made it better is if you were there.
- 1:01:55Seriously, it would have been fucking insane. Absolutely, but next time,
- 1:02:00next time, we do this shit for sure, Yeah, a thousand percent.
- 1:02:04But that I think is going to wrap it up for us. We've
- 1:02:07been going on for an hour and change probably at this point, so let's
- 1:02:09let's call it at night. Uh. Thanks for listening. I hope you
- 1:02:14enjoyed our ramblings about our trip to Philiate, New Jersey. And if you
- 1:02:17didn't know, it's too bad you listen to this point, so you must

- 1:03:22We will take it, will smuggle do it just anthime, No,
