- 0:24Speaker 2: is Trek Cast, the Galaxy's most unpredictable Star Trek podcast.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Today on the show, we're gonna be talking about the
- 0:33Speaker 2: episode Level five transporter accident. Yes we are. Plus we've
- 0:39Speaker 2: got Star Trek News and your listener feedback. I'm Scott
- 0:44Speaker 2: Bounder's and now pulling our strings since twenty seventeen. It's
- 0:49Speaker 2: Dan Lombardo and Daniel Reyes.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Hey, Hey, hey, hey, I'm so excited.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I know, I don't know.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we'll talk about it.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll talk about it. I'm gonna see if I
- 1:10Speaker 2: can make this better with coffee.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, no, what's what's in the coffee?
- 1:17Speaker 2: It's just anything to helse well, if you must know,
- 1:19Speaker 2: it's creative. But oh okay, well there you go. Yeah,
- 1:22Speaker 2: all right, all right. I must have the strength to
- 1:25Speaker 2: deal with this episode.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I don't have the strength. I don't.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I tried. I tried an alcoholic beverages this week.
- 1:34Speaker 4: You did, Yeah, I thought you do not partake.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I just I don't like the taste. It's not that
- 1:41Speaker 3: I have anything against it.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Okay, I always thought it was like health reasons or something.
- 1:45Speaker 3: No, no, no, it's just I just look out the daste.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:48Speaker 3: So we tried something to see if I would like it.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It's a new internet trend. Gator wine.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Okay, wait wait wait, wait, time out, time out, because
- 1:59Speaker 4: you know, sometimes your mind moves faster than the conversation. Absolutely,
- 2:04Speaker 4: so two things come to mind. Go for made with
- 2:10Speaker 4: gatorade or made out of alligators. I don't know.
- 2:15Speaker 3: You were correct, made with gatorade.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I just gonna say it's blood wine with So.
- 2:20Speaker 4: So here's the thing. I worked at a prison for
- 2:24Speaker 4: a little while. Okay, if it's liquid and it has
- 2:28Speaker 4: sugar in it, you can turn it into wine.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Oh sure, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's uh. It
- 2:36Speaker 3: is equal parts gatorade and equal parts cheap wine. The
- 2:41Speaker 3: recipe calls for a wine under twelve dollars. Okay, Peternet says,
- 2:45Speaker 3: and apparently og gator wine. The original gator is blue
- 2:49Speaker 3: gatorade and cheap wine. All right, So yeah we tried it.
- 2:55Speaker 2: So you're not you're still not an alcoholic.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I don't know if this is a regional thing, you know, Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 4: sometimes you're familiar with the product. You don't really, Yeah,
- 3:05Speaker 4: it's not it's not available nation like Devil Dog Dog
- 3:09Speaker 4: Devil Dog Debacle. Okay, so jeez, I hope my kids.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Aren't listen Devil Dog in Debacle.
- 3:19Speaker 4: So in high school, yeah, when we would you know, partake, Uh,
- 3:25Speaker 4: there was a product we called it Mad Dog twenty twenty.
- 3:29Speaker 4: I don't know is that why they? Okay, all right,
- 3:31Speaker 4: because it was m D twenty two.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I didn't find out until a few years ago. It
- 3:35Speaker 4: actually stands for I think Moses David or something. I
- 3:38Speaker 4: think I think it's like a Jewish wine or something. Okay, yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 4: we call it do Yeah, okay. We would mix the
- 3:45Speaker 4: keyw Lime Mad Dog twenty twenty, which was the green one,
- 3:51Speaker 4: with Ecto cooler. Oh wow, remember the the like Ghostbusters
- 3:56Speaker 4: the high See, which was also which was also green. Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 4: so we would mix that with Ecto cooler. So I
- 4:04Speaker 4: mean I see, uh, Gatorade, I you know, not that
- 4:09Speaker 4: far off right right. You know, gatorade's a little more
- 4:13Speaker 4: water down. I think it has uh has some of
- 4:16Speaker 4: the good stuff in there to you know, electrolytes and
- 4:19Speaker 4: yeah and that bullshit. But you know, I remember liking it.
- 4:24Speaker 4: But I was also fourteen, so you know, yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 3: As someone who baseline does not like alcohol, I didn't
- 4:34Speaker 3: love gatar Wind, but I didn't hate it. Yeah, so
- 4:38Speaker 3: for me, like, I guess that's hyer.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Well, there's a chance Dan and I can get you
- 4:42Speaker 2: drunk someday. Let me let me write that down. Or
- 4:46Speaker 2: wine or Ecto wine.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's really really uh sweet fruity drinks. Probably Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Does it have to have an umbrella in it?
- 4:58Speaker 3: Couldn't hurt they uh pa says mix Echo cooler with
- 5:03Speaker 3: ever clear.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Okay, there you go. All right. So I mean this
- 5:10Speaker 4: kind of the kind of tracks on my theory, my
- 5:12Speaker 4: ongoing theory that Ghostbusters makes everything better, doesn't.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Matter what it is. You're right, you're right, Add a
- 5:21Speaker 2: little Ecto cooler to anything and boom.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah, whereas puppets, puppets do not always make things better, No,
- 5:30Speaker 4: not always, not always, not always.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Yeah right, Oh my god, what what was that?
- 5:38Speaker 3: What what happened?
- 5:39Speaker 4: Huh what happened?
- 5:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, look at that. Oh yeah, I don't know.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Left my front door open. These guys snuck in my neighbor.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Neighbor for those of you staring into their radios right
- 5:54Speaker 2: now listening to this. Uh, he's got a couple of muppets,
- 5:59Speaker 2: Bert and Ernie. Oh they're making out. No, oh god, Okay,
- 6:06Speaker 2: we all knew it was true.
- 6:07Speaker 3: We all knew it was gonna happen.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You're not making Yeah, this is old news.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, these these guys. I bought a collection a
- 6:16Speaker 4: few weeks ago, and these guys were in it, and
- 6:19Speaker 4: about uh ten minutes ago, I was like, Oh, those
- 6:24Speaker 4: guys are still in the back porch. That's relevant, that's
- 6:27Speaker 4: relevant to what I'm doing.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Let me those you know, i'd be careful because uh,
- 6:32Speaker 2: Public Broadcasting is hurting for money right now, and I'm
- 6:36Speaker 2: sure their lawyers are just like salivating copyrighting Frenchman. This.
- 6:43Speaker 4: This is a retail product that they sold that I
- 6:47Speaker 4: happened to possess.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Oh bo, I was gonna say, I'm surprised that Chad
- 6:53Speaker 3: hasn't a shoot up those puppets.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Uh yeah, just about everything else he has put his
- 7:01Speaker 4: mouth on. But so he is not. They are not
- 7:05Speaker 4: in an accessible area.
- 7:06Speaker 2: He's put his mouth on everything, everything, just everything, every cage.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Oh wow, we're learning so much this morning.
- 7:22Speaker 4: All right, let's get this train wreck movie let's get
- 7:24Speaker 4: to the news.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Star Trek News.
- 7:29Speaker 3: So our first news story comes to us from Deadline
- 7:32Speaker 3: dot com and this thing has been making waves. Uh,
- 7:37Speaker 3: so we should probably also let you know that it
- 7:40Speaker 3: has to deal with the Mount.
- 7:42Speaker 4: So what's up with them Mount? What's up with them Mount?
- 7:53Speaker 3: So one of the top executives at Paramount recently did
- 7:56Speaker 3: an interview with Deadline and she talked about basically the
- 8:01Speaker 3: state of Paramount, everything that's going on. But the big
- 8:05Speaker 3: thing that's relevant for us Star Trek fans is she
- 8:07Speaker 3: did also talk about Star Trek and the big thing
- 8:11Speaker 3: that everyone is going nuts about is she did say
- 8:15Speaker 3: that right now, quote, we're talking to a lot of writers.
- 8:20Speaker 3: So people have taken this to mean that Kurtzman is
- 8:24Speaker 3: out and that they're coming up with new pitches and
- 8:27Speaker 3: new ideas from Star Trek. Yeah, Scott is there praying yes.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So while this is not official confirmation that he's out,
- 8:41Speaker 3: the fact that they're talking to other people and hearing
- 8:43Speaker 3: pitches and learning new directions is a strong indicator that
- 8:47Speaker 3: he is on the way out.
- 8:48Speaker 4: So when does when does Vision Quest come out?
- 8:55Speaker 2: Is that soon?
- 8:56Speaker 3: I want to say it's in October.
- 8:59Speaker 2: October because the best.
- 9:02Speaker 4: The best thing that could happen is for a Vision
- 9:05Speaker 4: Quest to be phenomenal. Yes, and for Terry mettallis to
- 9:10Speaker 4: be one of these people that they're talking to, so
- 9:13Speaker 4: he so he can say, hey, look look what I
- 9:16Speaker 4: did over there. Look look what I did for you
- 9:19Speaker 4: four years ago, and was shown the door for it,
- 9:23Speaker 4: and look what I did over here. So fingers crossed.
- 9:26Speaker 4: The Vision Quest is as amazing as uh.
- 9:31Speaker 3: It looks good, it does.
- 9:33Speaker 4: It does look good.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it does look good.
- 9:35Speaker 4: It looks really good. But you know a lot of
- 9:37Speaker 4: things look good. Yeah, and then you watch it and
- 9:42Speaker 4: it's not.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, although have you ever seen anything that had James
- 9:46Speaker 2: Spader in it that was bad?
- 9:50Speaker 4: He was in the later seasons of the Office where
- 9:55Speaker 4: Steve Carrell had left had left the show, so there's
- 9:59Speaker 4: there's still enjoyable.
- 10:00Speaker 2: But but his parts were good.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Yeah, No, it was a it was funny. I watched that.
- 10:06Speaker 4: His his characters name is Robert California, and I watched
- 10:10Speaker 4: that and I'm like, all right, he's just playing Ultron
- 10:13Speaker 4: in Pennsylvania.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's a big thing they're developing.
- 10:22Speaker 2: The houses are always colonial and the penises are always circumcised.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Robert California talking about doodling, and he's like, why is
- 10:34Speaker 2: it with people doodle The houses are always colonial, the
- 10:37Speaker 2: pediss are always Wow, I forgot about that.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Gym Oh okay, yes, yes, So that's that's what's going
- 10:52Speaker 3: on with Paramount. They're looking at new pitches, they're looking
- 10:55Speaker 3: at new ideas for Stargic. So that, yeah, that doesn't
- 10:59Speaker 3: bode well for a Kurtzman. So well what that does?
- 11:03Speaker 3: Not to say though, he couldn't come up with the
- 11:05Speaker 3: pitch and maybe they go with it.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Stop just stop.
- 11:10Speaker 3: I'm just saying, all right, our next news story comes
- 11:14Speaker 3: to us from trekmovie dot com. And for those maybe
- 11:17Speaker 3: this is.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Maybe this is a safe word and we just don't
- 11:19Speaker 4: know it yet, Like this is safe word that we
- 11:22Speaker 4: could just yell and cursman will stop. That's your homework,
- 11:27Speaker 4: everyone figure out the god for our Yeah.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Sorry, okay, So, uh for those of you go into
- 11:40Speaker 3: uh New York City Comic Con uh this October, Starfleet
- 11:44Speaker 3: Academy will be having a panel there and a sixty
- 11:47Speaker 3: anniversary panel for Star Trek as well, So we'll have
- 11:51Speaker 3: a lot of the actors from the show there. So
- 11:54Speaker 3: I don't know too much more about it just yet,
- 11:56Speaker 3: still pretty early for the preview. But yeah, so in
- 12:00Speaker 3: New York City Comic Con, Dan, are you gonna go?
- 12:02Speaker 3: That's kind of in your area?
- 12:04Speaker 4: No, okay, no, no, it's uh I've been before.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah, it's huge, right, it is.
- 12:11Speaker 2: It is huge.
- 12:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it is huge. It's you know, I I'm proximate
- 12:16Speaker 4: to New York City. I'm not close. Yeah, you know,
- 12:20Speaker 4: on a best case scenario, it takes me two hours
- 12:24Speaker 4: to get there.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Oh wow, yeah the drive?
- 12:27Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, all right.
- 12:29Speaker 2: For those of you who go on another comic con
- 12:31Speaker 2: or that other Star Trek convention and the it starts
- 12:34Speaker 2: with a t.
- 12:36Speaker 4: Tekonda Roga, we're gonna be talking about them in a
- 12:38Speaker 4: few minutes. I'm actually I'm actually further from Taekwonda Roga. However,
- 12:43Speaker 4: it's a much easier trip. It's a less expensive trip
- 12:47Speaker 4: if you're gonna stay the night, and with all due
- 12:53Speaker 4: respect to Deval, the people in the area are a
- 12:56Speaker 4: lot nicer.
- 12:57Speaker 2: There you go. Because I keep thinking about a New
- 13:02Speaker 2: York trip sometime, a week long New York trip, and
- 13:05Speaker 2: I'm thinking about dividing it up between doing like a
- 13:08Speaker 2: Star Trek thing and to kind of that that place
- 13:12Speaker 2: and New York City proper.
- 13:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean you got if you're gonna come to
- 13:16Speaker 4: New York, if you don't live in New York and
- 13:18Speaker 4: you're gonna come to New York for the first time,
- 13:20Speaker 4: by all means you have to visit New York City.
- 13:22Speaker 4: It's like no other place on the planet on the planet,
- 13:26Speaker 4: I get it. But the rest of the state is
- 13:30Speaker 4: completely different, different. Everything north of Westchester County probably has
- 13:39Speaker 4: more in common with Alabama than it does with New
- 13:43Speaker 4: York City. Just completely different. You know, the landscape, the people,
- 13:50Speaker 4: the culture, it's just completely different. Well, and and and
- 13:55Speaker 4: I would be and I would be thrilled to spend
- 13:58Speaker 4: time with you and Desiree in both of those places.
- 14:02Speaker 4: If that trip, if that trip's happening, let me know.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I will be a part of the planning process.
- 14:09Speaker 3: So yeah, if we go next year, the Paddington musical kicks.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Off, shut off? Just stop. What's what's yours? What's your
- 14:20Speaker 4: safe word? Stop?
- 14:23Speaker 3: Tacos? I don't know tacos? All right?
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:34Speaker 3: Our next door news story comes first from Yahoo Entertainment. Uh,
- 14:38Speaker 3: this one I was not familiar with. Maybe you guys were,
- 14:41Speaker 3: but apparently we almost got evil Captain Kirk versus Captain
- 14:46Speaker 3: Archer on Enterprise. There had been a pitch to bring
- 14:50Speaker 3: back William Shatner for the fourth season of Enterprise to
- 14:54Speaker 3: be Evil Captain Kirk.
- 14:56Speaker 4: There was also there was also talk of Anyway coming
- 15:00Speaker 4: back to be Spock from that.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Oh interesting.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember when the show was in first run.
- 15:07Speaker 4: I can remember there were rumors, yeah, all the time
- 15:10Speaker 4: about getting them back on there, and then who's still
- 15:14Speaker 4: available and how could they make it work? And then
- 15:18Speaker 4: at one point Kirk was going to be he was
- 15:21Speaker 4: gonna play Chef who nobody saw until the last until
- 15:27Speaker 4: it was Riker.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Yeah, so yeah, okay, that would have been cool. Yeah,
- 15:33Speaker 3: it would have been interesting for sure. All right, and
- 15:36Speaker 3: then our last news story comes to us from Sun
- 15:40Speaker 3: Community News for those of you who watched that one,
- 15:46Speaker 3: but I guess in I want to say it's in
- 15:49Speaker 3: October as well, No, September, September eighteenth, at Tykwonder Ruga.
- 15:54Speaker 3: They're gonna have a ribbon cutting summit ceremony. They're gonna
- 15:58Speaker 3: have the Galileo shuttle craft there.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Huh.
- 16:02Speaker 3: So I don't know if that means like the little
- 16:05Speaker 3: prop and they're gonna like here it is, guys, or
- 16:08Speaker 3: did they build the Galileo set and you can walk
- 16:10Speaker 3: into I think that's what it is.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's what it is too. Yeah. I
- 16:14Speaker 2: think they spent a long time and a lot of
- 16:16Speaker 2: money restoring it.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Okay, well it'll be there, so cool Friday, September eighteenth,
- 16:23Speaker 3: eighteenth at five point thirty. So that's big ribbon cut centrunning.
- 16:28Speaker 2: So cool.
- 16:29Speaker 3: There you go. All right, that's all the news stories.
- 16:33Speaker 4: So are you sure see you guys next week?
- 16:36Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, alright yeah feedback everyone, yeah, yeah.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, Well let's let's get to the main topic,
- 16:45Speaker 3: the puppet episode.
- 16:47Speaker 5: Fun will now comment.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Once again seven of nine. No, no, it will not.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Fun will not commence now yeah.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Oh while both says they recovered the trash Galileo and
- 17:07Speaker 3: restored it.
- 17:08Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Good.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:11Speaker 3: So this is season four, episode five, Level five Transporter accident.
- 17:17Speaker 3: To give everyone an idea. On IMDb right now, it
- 17:21Speaker 3: has a four point eight out of ten stars rating
- 17:28Speaker 3: just based off of the feedback we've gotten on social media.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Very much mixed reactions, I would say, leaning towards positive really, yes,
- 17:42Speaker 3: like a sixty forty split positive. Yeah, it's not overwhelming,
- 17:46Speaker 3: but more so so that's where we're at with it.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Most people are like saying, it's just fun, enjoy it,
- 17:58Speaker 3: So that's been the overall reaction. A lot of people
- 18:04Speaker 3: also found it really funny, like a really hilarious episode.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know, I don't. I didn't like laugh.
- 18:14Speaker 3: Yeah I didn't either, I didn't laugh.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I didn't. Yeah, can I say, can I play Daniel
- 18:22Speaker 2: for just like? Give me thirty seconds I played Daniel.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 18:26Speaker 2: If I rewrote this episode, okay, yes, and part you'll
- 18:32Speaker 2: have to excuse me. This is not my thing. But
- 18:34Speaker 2: if I rewrote this episode, I would not have made
- 18:38Speaker 2: it a spock Fever dream. I would have at the
- 18:43Speaker 2: very end, I would have revealed that it was John
- 18:47Speaker 2: Delancey's Q just screwing around with the enterprise just for fun.
- 18:55Speaker 2: That would have made me happy. That would have made
- 18:58Speaker 2: me go oh, And that would have made as much
- 19:01Speaker 2: astead of made some sense to me. And I think
- 19:06Speaker 2: that would have been a great callback. I think John
- 19:08Speaker 2: Delancy would have done it. They could have kept him
- 19:11Speaker 2: his own age, they could have de aged him, it
- 19:13Speaker 2: could have been tree Lane, whatever. I think that would
- 19:16Speaker 2: have made much more sense. It would have made this
- 19:18Speaker 2: episode Cannon and and I think we would have loved
- 19:22Speaker 2: the ride and we would have accepted it.
- 19:25Speaker 4: So where I can't help but wonder if the hey,
- 19:31Speaker 4: it was all a dream was an afterthought? Yeah, it
- 19:37Speaker 4: goes done one yes, and I'll i'll and I'll tell
- 19:41Speaker 4: you why. And you know when I'm dreaming and you
- 19:47Speaker 4: tell me if this is if, if this is how
- 19:49Speaker 4: you experience it. When I'm dreaming, it's in the first person.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I'm dreaming about things that I'm observing, which is why
- 19:58Speaker 4: when you wake up, excuse me, you're not quite sure
- 20:03Speaker 4: for a moment, did that happen? Is this real? Or
- 20:05Speaker 4: was that a dream? Because it's happening a first person?
- 20:08Speaker 4: Is that how you two dream?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:10Speaker 4: Of course, okay, yeah, which means everything that you see,
- 20:19Speaker 4: if this is supposed to be a dream, everything you
- 20:21Speaker 4: see should be from Spock's perspective. We as the viewers
- 20:25Speaker 4: should not be seeing what's happening on the other side
- 20:28Speaker 4: of the ship when Spock is in engineering. We should
- 20:31Speaker 4: not be seeing these puppets swimming through outer space because
- 20:35Speaker 4: Spock was not swimming through outer space, right, So it
- 20:39Speaker 4: doesn't make narrative sense to see those things because from
- 20:43Speaker 4: his point of view, they don't occur or you don't
- 20:46Speaker 4: see them. So I feel like this was a legitimate
- 20:53Speaker 4: transporter accident and somewhere along the way possibly like this
- 21:00Speaker 4: seeing right here, Spock's not here. Yeah, this shouldn't be
- 21:03Speaker 4: this shouldn't be quote happening. Yeah, yeah, I don't. I
- 21:10Speaker 4: don't know if it was the last minute that they
- 21:12Speaker 4: tacked it on halfway through production. Uh it maybe somebody,
- 21:17Speaker 4: Uh yeah, I don't know, but it just it doesn't
- 21:20Speaker 4: make narrative sense.
- 21:22Speaker 3: It felt like somebody very late in the string writing
- 21:25Speaker 3: process that you know, we should make this a dream
- 21:27Speaker 3: and just it'll cut the edge off of it and
- 21:29Speaker 3: people won't get so mad about it. Yeah, that that's
- 21:33Speaker 3: what it felt like, because the last few scenes that
- 21:35Speaker 3: showed that it's a dream, they're very quick scenes there,
- 21:38Speaker 3: they don't last very long. They don't really talk about
- 21:41Speaker 3: the psychology of it. It's it's pretty quick.
- 21:44Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, yeah, m hmm.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Yeah I.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Didn't.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I didn't hate this episode, but I didn't love it.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I feel like I've been so beaten down by this
- 22:05Speaker 3: season already. Yeah, you know, right, I think I think
- 22:10Speaker 3: over it was worse.
- 22:11Speaker 4: I don't think it would be this poorly received if
- 22:16Speaker 4: it was peppered in with some decent episodes. But we've
- 22:19Speaker 4: we've had like we've had like four stinkers in a row. Yes, Yeah, so.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I don't know, Yeah, because we loved we didn't we
- 22:27Speaker 2: weren't that critical of the musical episode, Yeah, because it
- 22:32Speaker 2: was it was bunched in with a bunch of really
- 22:34Speaker 2: good episodes, you know, same with the even some people
- 22:37Speaker 2: had problem with the uh the crossover episode. I was
- 22:40Speaker 2: not among them, but yeah, it was first and second season,
- 22:44Speaker 2: we're really really good, and that just started to drop off.
- 22:47Speaker 3: So like when I was first watching it and they
- 22:50Speaker 3: did the big scene about how the puppets cannot hurt anybody,
- 22:54Speaker 3: they're just little felt pieces, and that they tried to
- 22:57Speaker 3: like launch trying to punch one of the orions and
- 22:59Speaker 3: nothing happen. And then later they're taking out the orions
- 23:02Speaker 3: on kung fu, kicking them. Like I was so ready
- 23:05Speaker 3: to be so mad, and then they made it a dream.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I was like, oh, okay, whatever.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Like I was just like, yeah, in the interest of
- 23:15Speaker 2: some positive if, I I've got a couple of notes
- 23:17Speaker 2: about some positive things here.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Number one, I loved Carol Kane's puppet. When when they
- 23:24Speaker 2: showed her puppet for the first time, I thought it
- 23:26Speaker 2: was fantastic with the hair and the that was a
- 23:30Speaker 2: really I thought hers was my favorite favorite puppet. Second,
- 23:35Speaker 2: the actress that played Captain Cherral, the captain of the
- 23:40Speaker 2: Orion ship. That's Rachel Harris. She's fantastic. I at first
- 23:46Speaker 2: I was trying to figure out who that was, and
- 23:48Speaker 2: then I'm like, oh, it's it's Rachel Harris. She she
- 23:51Speaker 2: was the psychiatrist in uh, Lucifer if anybody ever watched that, Okay,
- 23:56Speaker 2: she was one of the main characters in Lucifer. She
- 23:58Speaker 2: was fantastic in this episode, and I thought she played
- 24:02Speaker 2: a great Orion because Orion women are a little bit,
- 24:05Speaker 2: you know, kind of full themselves, and they think the
- 24:08Speaker 2: ship don't stink because you know, it doesn't. It smells
- 24:11Speaker 2: like pheromones that make guys do whatever they do. You do,
- 24:15Speaker 2: you know these things because I'm a star trek.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Nerd okay, all right, And and they just ignore the
- 24:23Speaker 4: safe word.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yeah means nothing, that's right, no safe word about the Ryots.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I thought it was so Scotty tries to to transport
- 24:36Speaker 3: a puppet and that's what causes the accident.
- 24:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I really thought you could have done just
- 24:43Speaker 3: one thing where he's like, I put this device on
- 24:46Speaker 3: it that can help extend the transporter reach, and that's
- 24:51Speaker 3: what causes the puppets because he's transporting that device. And
- 24:55Speaker 3: so that device, because it extends the reach, it extends
- 24:59Speaker 3: the puppet reach, and that's what made everybody it.
- 25:01Speaker 4: So I feel like this this was a callback to
- 25:03Speaker 4: uh star trek oh nine where Scotty had developed the
- 25:09Speaker 4: transwarp right, yeah, which something like that which didn't didn't
- 25:20Speaker 4: make sense back then. It doesn't really make sense now,
- 25:23Speaker 4: but yeah, you know, I can't help but feel like
- 25:26Speaker 4: this is a callback to that.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Yeah it could be, but.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Actually that one didn't make sense back in nine because
- 25:33Speaker 2: they were talking about distance and then they used it
- 25:35Speaker 2: to not about distance but about transporting something aboard something
- 25:40Speaker 2: that was traveling at warp. None of it made any Nope.
- 25:48Speaker 3: And then to Paul being there or Spring being there,
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah that.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Would have been that'd have been a great episode. Yeah. Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Why why was Spock dreaming about a new chair for
- 26:03Speaker 3: Captain Pike then?
- 26:05Speaker 2: I don't know? And there was a Crint do you
- 26:08Speaker 2: guys remember the cringe moment with Yes when the pupp
- 26:15Speaker 2: when when the Pring and Spock started kissing was in
- 26:20Speaker 2: puppet form. That was I don't often look down and
- 26:25Speaker 2: away from my television when I'm watching, especially Star Trek,
- 26:29Speaker 2: but that was hard to watch and I can't even
- 26:33Speaker 2: imagine how hard it was to film.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I saw them behind the scenes with Ethan Pack.
- 26:40Speaker 4: What if they were both puppets?
- 26:44Speaker 3: Yeah, say that, say that for the premium content.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Yeah, save that for the Patreon members.
- 26:54Speaker 3: That's right, that's right.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Scott's like, just save it period.
- 27:04Speaker 3: What about when it became die hard with puppets?
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yeah? You know what. You know, what's funny is there's
- 27:11Speaker 2: probably some Trek cast fans out there that are going,
- 27:13Speaker 2: oh crap on Patreon sweet okay, Patreon dot com forwards
- 27:16Speaker 2: last Trek Cast. I'm signing up that.
- 27:20Speaker 4: You know. Okay.
- 27:21Speaker 3: One thing I'll say, was it I don't know for
- 27:23Speaker 3: you guys, was it harder to understand some of these
- 27:25Speaker 3: actors when it was just their voice and not them
- 27:28Speaker 3: there Like I had a harder time understanding Carol Caine
- 27:33Speaker 3: and Embanka Hmmm, I don't know.
- 27:37Speaker 4: You're definitely you could definitely tell their audio was done
- 27:42Speaker 4: in a dubbed in a room right in front of
- 27:46Speaker 4: a microphone, like they sounded so much closer.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was about to say, I found it
- 27:53Speaker 2: easier to understand both of them.
- 27:55Speaker 3: Oh, I had a harder time.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Huh interesting, it's interesting.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Oh, while Bill say yeah, because you couldn't read the lips, Yeah,
- 28:07Speaker 3: maybe that could be Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 4: I mean, do they have lips? I don't think puppets
- 28:16Speaker 4: have lips.
- 28:17Speaker 3: No, I couldn't understand them.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah, do a close visual inspection for us, please.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Ye, there you go.
- 28:29Speaker 4: He's got a tongue.
- 28:31Speaker 2: He's got a tongue.
- 28:32Speaker 4: That's about it.
- 28:37Speaker 2: So yeah, So what do you guys rate this episode
- 28:41Speaker 2: out of ten?
- 28:43Speaker 4: Ten?
- 28:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's five.
- 28:47Speaker 2: It's yeah. I can't find an argument going higher or
- 28:54Speaker 2: lower than a five, so I'll give it a five.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I mean, it really felt like we want to put
- 29:00Speaker 3: puppets in an episode, and then they tried to figure
- 29:03Speaker 3: out a storyline behind it, as opposed to having a
- 29:06Speaker 3: good storyline in order to bring in the puppets.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Do you remember when starts I used to do that.
- 29:11Speaker 2: They used to come up with a good story and
- 29:12Speaker 2: then kind of roll with it.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Yeah. While Bill says he use it a three, Jacob
- 29:17Speaker 3: says he used it a four point five. So there
- 29:19Speaker 3: you go.
- 29:20Speaker 4: It could have I mean, if they wanted to do
- 29:25Speaker 4: the puppets, I get it. There's better ways to do it,
- 29:30Speaker 4: the Q thing, the Trelaine thing, and you could have
- 29:35Speaker 4: gone wild with it. You know when the Oryons show up,
- 29:39Speaker 4: first they're they're humans, and then you know ques like,
- 29:44Speaker 4: oh I didn't account for that, and now they're puppets
- 29:48Speaker 4: as well. You got Oryan puppets and then there's Klingon
- 29:51Speaker 4: puppets and Romulin pot. I mean, you could have gone nuts.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, that would have been fun. Yeah, let's let's have
- 29:57Speaker 3: all the puppets, because I I promise you you were
- 30:00Speaker 3: going to be seeing these puppets at conventions. There will
- 30:04Speaker 3: be people with booths.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh they're already I've already seen
- 30:08Speaker 4: three D printed action figures.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yeh of the puppets.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 30:16Speaker 3: So I still don't think this is the worst episode
- 30:23Speaker 3: this season.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I know because I could watch this whole thing and
- 30:29Speaker 2: not be distracted. I was. I watched it and I
- 30:32Speaker 2: was I don't know if I was entertained. Maybe I
- 30:35Speaker 2: was entertained by it. Again, We're talking about a season
- 30:38Speaker 2: that's ten episodes long versus twenty six episodes long. Yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 2: you know you could, you could forgive a move along
- 30:45Speaker 2: home on Deep Space nine because there was twenty four
- 30:48Speaker 2: other episodes that you forget about it. But we're hanging
- 30:52Speaker 2: on every single episode because there's only ten of them. Yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 2: and the season's half over.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Casz bit d for done.
- 31:03Speaker 4: I I host a Star Trek podcast, and I'm more
- 31:08Speaker 4: more excited about watching the next episode of Lanterns than
- 31:13Speaker 4: I am about the rest of this season.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Lanterns was great.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Lanterns was fantastic.
- 31:20Speaker 3: An interrogation scene, yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Oh that was perfect. I loved it. I loved it.
- 31:27Speaker 4: Yeah, are we going to talk about it? Let's talk
- 31:30Speaker 4: about talk about it later. Let's all right, spoil spoiler alert,
- 31:36Speaker 4: we're going to talk about Lanterns. The first episode U
- 31:39Speaker 4: premiered last Sunday. The second comes out tonight. So if
- 31:44Speaker 4: you don't want any spoilers, you should probably.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Fast forward to the section or just let's listen to
- 31:52Speaker 2: this next week.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that'll work too. Yeah, So what you
- 31:57Speaker 4: guys think?
- 31:59Speaker 3: I loved it?
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I loved it too.
- 32:02Speaker 4: I thought it was good. I thought it was grounded.
- 32:04Speaker 4: There were a few too many F bombs for me. Again,
- 32:08Speaker 4: it's like, why do we have to do this? You know,
- 32:11Speaker 4: thankfully my son is Is is older now, so I
- 32:14Speaker 4: you know, I let him watch it. He watched it
- 32:16Speaker 4: the second time I watched it. He watched it with me.
- 32:21Speaker 4: But I really like this guy that they got for
- 32:25Speaker 4: al Georgan. I like the guy they got for John
- 32:27Speaker 4: Stewart too. I mean, these two completely different characters. I
- 32:31Speaker 4: love their I love their interactions with each other. I
- 32:34Speaker 4: love how, you know, the showing the show, the showing
- 32:38Speaker 4: these characters from two different It sounds like this show
- 32:42Speaker 4: is going to take place in two different time frames
- 32:47Speaker 4: for the duration of the season. But I mean, we
- 32:49Speaker 4: saw we saw several different time periods in this in
- 32:53Speaker 4: this first episode, so seeing two thousand and six hal
- 32:58Speaker 4: Jordan or two thousand and three whenever it was when
- 33:01Speaker 4: when he did the interview with with dateline yea and
- 33:05Speaker 4: and he was young, and he was eager, and he
- 33:07Speaker 4: was wearing the uniform. And when he tells when he
- 33:11Speaker 4: tells the guy at the taco stand why he doesn't
- 33:13Speaker 4: wear the uniform and compares it to wearing a tie
- 33:17Speaker 4: when you're when you're at work to impress your boss,
- 33:20Speaker 4: and after a while you you don't care so much
- 33:22Speaker 4: and you realize it's just a pain in the ass.
- 33:24Speaker 4: And you know, I thought that was I thought that
- 33:26Speaker 4: was a good explanation. I would like to see him
- 33:28Speaker 4: in the suit again. I would like to see you. Well, yeah, no,
- 33:33Speaker 4: I'm sure we will. He brings it out for special occasions,
- 33:35Speaker 4: he says, So, I'm sure we'll see a special occasion
- 33:38Speaker 4: at some point.
- 33:39Speaker 2: We are going to say, see Nathan Fillion. Yeah, sometimes,
- 33:43Speaker 2: which is good.
- 33:46Speaker 4: We did not see a lot of special effects for
- 33:52Speaker 4: what the ring does, and I think they're trying to
- 33:58Speaker 4: make this a more grounded show. Oh so, I think
- 34:00Speaker 4: there's going to be not so much of that. And
- 34:04Speaker 4: as long as the writing is good and we see
- 34:07Speaker 4: some of it, I think I'm okay with that. But
- 34:11Speaker 4: I would like to talk for a moment about the flying. Yeah,
- 34:15Speaker 4: what did you guys think of the flying? And we
- 34:18Speaker 4: didn't see a lot of it, But what did you
- 34:19Speaker 4: guys think of what you saw? And then I will
- 34:21Speaker 4: tell you what I thought.
- 34:23Speaker 2: It was very minimalist. There was not, like you said,
- 34:26Speaker 2: there's not a lot of special effects. That was That
- 34:28Speaker 2: was hal Jordan flying, not to impress anybody, but he
- 34:32Speaker 2: was just flying as a mode to get from point
- 34:34Speaker 2: A to point B. And he doesn't need a bunch
- 34:36Speaker 2: of constructs, which is what he makes with the ring
- 34:40Speaker 2: to do that. So I like the minimalist kind of thing.
- 34:45Speaker 2: And I think they're slowly building up to more special
- 34:47Speaker 2: effects later out of the season.
- 34:48Speaker 3: But I know, I like, typically in the comics, whenever
- 34:52Speaker 3: they fly, there's a little like green aura around them. Yeah,
- 34:55Speaker 3: and they didn't have it this time, and that threw
- 34:57Speaker 3: me off. I was like, wait, where's the green?
- 35:00Speaker 4: Well, that's that's also that scene took place outside during
- 35:08Speaker 4: during the day. I think if that scene had taken
- 35:11Speaker 4: place at night, you probably would have seen something. I
- 35:14Speaker 4: think it's probably washed out by the by the background.
- 35:19Speaker 4: What I noticed about the flying is and I like
- 35:24Speaker 4: this is it's different than when Thor flies. It's different
- 35:31Speaker 4: than when Superman flies. When Superman flies, he kind of
- 35:34Speaker 4: crouches for a second and jumps straight up in the
- 35:37Speaker 4: air and there's a shockwave that kind of ripples from
- 35:41Speaker 4: around him a little bit, and there's a whoosh air
- 35:44Speaker 4: and you know, the same sort of thing when when
- 35:46Speaker 4: when Thor flies this everything it just went in a
- 35:55Speaker 4: straight line. He just he just looked in a direction
- 35:58Speaker 4: and his body just started moving in that direction. He
- 36:01Speaker 4: just willed his body to move at this this vector.
- 36:06Speaker 4: And I almost describe it as he wasn't he wasn't
- 36:10Speaker 4: taking off into flight. He was suddenly falling up. Yeah,
- 36:15Speaker 4: And I and I liked, I like that, how how
- 36:18Speaker 4: smooth it was. Yeah, because I feel like if you
- 36:21Speaker 4: if this device was real, if this device existed, that's
- 36:25Speaker 4: what it would do. It would not make him fly,
- 36:27Speaker 4: it would alter the It would alter gravity around him.
- 36:33Speaker 2: So he looked that first flight when he takes off
- 36:36Speaker 2: from that taco stand or whatever, it was the first
- 36:39Speaker 2: I think it was the first time we saw him
- 36:40Speaker 2: fly in the current timeline. It felt as if it
- 36:45Speaker 2: was somebody who's been doing this for twenty years. He
- 36:48Speaker 2: wasn't trying to impress anybody, He wasn't trying to do
- 36:50Speaker 2: any theatrics, and it felt natural. It felt like if
- 36:54Speaker 2: you had had this ability for twenty years, you exactly
- 36:58Speaker 2: just what Dan said. He didn't do the crowd, she
- 37:00Speaker 2: didn't do the you know, the theatrics for it. He
- 37:03Speaker 2: just started moving. He's like, yeah, you know, boom that way.
- 37:08Speaker 3: I think it was funny. He was using the ring
- 37:10Speaker 3: to counterfeit money.
- 37:11Speaker 4: Yeah, No, he didn't counterfeit money. He manifested money through
- 37:16Speaker 4: the will, money through willpower, whatever whatever other edition he
- 37:21Speaker 4: had for it.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Because Helse he's like the type of guy that never
- 37:24Speaker 2: would have done that twenty years ago. But now he's like,
- 37:26Speaker 2: who cares. It's a jukebox.
- 37:29Speaker 4: H Well, that's that's That's the other thing. It's like,
- 37:31Speaker 4: what is what is? It's not like he counterfeited money
- 37:35Speaker 4: and purchased property and now he deprived that person of
- 37:39Speaker 4: their property and the money disappeared. This is a song
- 37:43Speaker 4: on a jukebox, right, It's not something tangible.
- 37:48Speaker 2: So I think I'm open for a good cause. He
- 37:50Speaker 2: was trying to get arrested.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm okay with it. He didn't manifest money. He
- 37:54Speaker 4: didn't manifest money to pay for the tacos.
- 37:58Speaker 3: He had John do that, right, man, John's money.
- 38:05Speaker 2: He felt like that. He felt like an old trainer.
- 38:09Speaker 2: He felt like a trainer of a guy. You know,
- 38:12Speaker 2: a new guy comes on the job and yeah, Hell
- 38:16Speaker 2: doesn't want to train anybody. He's like that, you know,
- 38:19Speaker 2: and I've seen truck driver trainers like this in my career,
- 38:22Speaker 2: like this guy we don't really want.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's like at the end of this all right,
- 38:30Speaker 3: all right, how are Johnson show me pay the tacos,
- 38:33Speaker 3: show me go to the airport? You know?
- 38:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so we know this is part of the larger
- 38:46Speaker 4: d c u uh huh Macon Is that his name?
- 38:51Speaker 4: The guy was who works at the rain Yeah, but
- 38:55Speaker 4: he his employer has a non disclosure agreement with him,
- 38:58Speaker 4: and he can't disclose who is employer is right, and
- 39:00Speaker 4: his employer is obviously filthy rich, and his employer is
- 39:06Speaker 4: concerned about protecting Earth from extraterrestrial threats and does not
- 39:10Speaker 4: trust aliens. Does this sound like anyone to you, Luthor?
- 39:17Speaker 2: Luthor?
- 39:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they They have said that the big bad
- 39:23Speaker 3: in Lanterns is connected to the overall story they're telling.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Okay, so I don't know.
- 39:31Speaker 2: So you think somebody that's working for Luther then.
- 39:36Speaker 4: Yeah, this guy Naken, I think he. I think he
- 39:38Speaker 4: might be working for Luther.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, okay, could be, could be, but.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Well, all right, so we like lanterns.
- 39:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I like lanterns very much. One thing I did
- 39:55Speaker 4: not like and again we will I'll have to see
- 40:00Speaker 4: more of this character to see like what his motivation is.
- 40:05Speaker 4: But John Stewart's dad shooting an apple, yeah, off of
- 40:10Speaker 4: his head as a father, as a firearms instructor, that
- 40:17Speaker 4: is unfathomable. Yeah, right, And the fact that twenty years
- 40:27Speaker 4: later John's like okay with it. Yeah, I don't get that.
- 40:33Speaker 4: I don't understand that.
- 40:36Speaker 3: The theory I've seen about people with that scene is
- 40:40Speaker 3: that John Stewart was picked very early on as a
- 40:43Speaker 3: kid from the by the Guardians that we're going to
- 40:47Speaker 3: make you a green lantern. And so from that point on,
- 40:50Speaker 3: his dad has been helping with the training and that's
- 40:53Speaker 3: why he was shooting the apple, so that he has
- 40:55Speaker 3: no fear whatsoever.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I get that.
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's still weird.
- 41:01Speaker 4: It's weird, it's criminal, it's unforgivable.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought they were trying to make the dance.
- 41:10Speaker 2: I also like to point out yeah, yeah, yeah, I'd
- 41:12Speaker 2: also like to point out that you're a firearms instructor.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Pistols are not that accurate. Nope, they're not nearly as
- 41:22Speaker 2: accurate rifles.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Nope. I betray qualify. I shoot one hundred percent when
- 41:29Speaker 4: I qualify with with my pistol. I would never attempt that,
- 41:36Speaker 4: never ever, ever.
- 41:38Speaker 2: No, mm hmm.
- 41:41Speaker 4: Yep.
- 41:42Speaker 2: No, maybe with somebody else's kid. I don't know.
- 41:47Speaker 4: Maybe, I don't know, Like when I watch America's Got
- 41:52Speaker 4: Talent and there and they got the crossbow and they're
- 41:55Speaker 4: shooting apples off people's heads or throwing knives at the
- 41:58Speaker 4: guy who's on the spinning wheel, like it makes me uncomfortable. Yeah,
- 42:03Speaker 4: I sit there thinking, you know, how fucking irresponsible are you?
- 42:10Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 42:12Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 42:16Speaker 4: S I want to try it, yeah, which is why
- 42:18Speaker 4: Alec Baldwin is irredeemable in my eyes. Sorry, and I
- 42:25Speaker 4: love thirty Rock.
- 42:30Speaker 3: All right, Well, should we get to listener feedback?
- 42:32Speaker 4: Sure?
- 42:33Speaker 3: All right, let's get the listener feedback.
- 42:38Speaker 6: Listener feedback?
- 42:41Speaker 2: All right?
- 42:42Speaker 4: Oh, like he left us, he's getting his puppets.
- 42:44Speaker 3: He just left us. Yeah, okay, Well, if you want
- 42:49Speaker 3: to join us for listener feedback, X up in the
- 42:51Speaker 3: chat and we'll be happy to have you. Oh he's
- 42:55Speaker 3: returning now, Okay.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Maybe I just wanted No, I was wondering if I
- 43:01Speaker 2: could do a little show and tell real quick. Okay,
- 43:04Speaker 2: So last week it was my birthday and my wife
- 43:08Speaker 2: got me something that surprised me. It's it's the first
- 43:13Speaker 2: time I've been really surprised for a birthday present. But uh,
- 43:17Speaker 2: it we've talked about it on the show. Uh, it's
- 43:22Speaker 2: not something that I would ever ever in a million
- 43:25Speaker 2: years by myself.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Uh.
- 43:27Speaker 2: But I got the Lego Enterprise D.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:36Speaker 2: My wife gave me the D.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 2: So it's uh, it's got all the it's got all
- 43:46Speaker 2: the figures. Yeah, my mom watches this, guys, come on,
- 43:54Speaker 2: it's uh yeah, I was. It's it's the first time
- 43:58Speaker 2: that I've ever opened a present and was literally like, yeah,
- 44:03Speaker 2: I was. I didn't know what to say. I I'm like, well, yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 2: so yeah, I figured it might be a good content
- 44:16Speaker 2: for the show when we start. When we start building it,
- 44:19Speaker 2: we're gonna build it as family. I'll share pictures on
- 44:24Speaker 2: the on the Facebook group and everything like that.
- 44:27Speaker 3: So I can't wait for you to show off your
- 44:29Speaker 3: D on the internet. That's great.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I can't wait to show off my D on the
- 44:32Speaker 2: internet too. That's gonna be that's gonna be great. Yeah.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Thank you, Thank you, Desiree for the amazing birthday present.
- 44:42Speaker 4: Happy birthday, all right, thank you.
- 44:45Speaker 3: We got hipster Spock and Chatz was waiting. But first
- 44:47Speaker 3: we got some voicemails, so let's uh, let's get to
- 44:50Speaker 3: the voice have an email too, so oh do okay, great,
- 44:53Speaker 3: we'll get to all that. All right, here's the first
- 44:55Speaker 3: or smile.
- 44:56Speaker 7: So episode five of Challenging the World.
- 45:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 7: I liked everything about it except for the puppets. Yeah,
- 45:08Speaker 7: this genre of the week thing is kind of overdone.
- 45:15Speaker 7: Props for creativity, but yeah, this does not fit. On
- 45:22Speaker 7: the bright side, the back ends probably better given that
- 45:25Speaker 7: we have a trilling episode coming up so EQ and
- 45:30Speaker 7: Tomorrow's Yesterday's Enterprise sequel. So time back time, going back
- 45:36Speaker 7: and forth from the future.
- 45:37Speaker 4: To the past.
- 45:38Speaker 7: So great to look forward to that. Other than that,
- 45:43Speaker 7: they definitely wasted props on our money on props.
- 45:52Speaker 4: For the puppets.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Yeah, there we go, So not a ban I like
- 46:05Speaker 3: you put it though. He liked it for everything except
- 46:07Speaker 3: with the puppets.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Except for the puppets.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, and we got one more voicemails.
- 46:13Speaker 2: Here we go, track fans, it's Tim here from.
- 46:18Speaker 8: South Coast of England. Boy, the very two episodes of
- 46:23Speaker 8: what they like to call Star Trek is nothing further
- 46:28Speaker 8: from the Black and White episode. Well, the least said
- 46:31Speaker 8: about that, the better.
- 46:34Speaker 4: I like m Benga.
- 46:36Speaker 8: He's probably my standout character of the whole series really,
- 46:40Speaker 8: And as for this puppet episode that we recently had,
- 46:45Speaker 8: it would have been great for ten minutes.
- 46:47Speaker 2: It would have been funny.
- 46:49Speaker 8: But what really annoyed me was when the ship gets
- 46:53Speaker 8: hit by photons, they just run around with their hands
- 46:57Speaker 8: up in the air. That was just like trying to
- 46:59Speaker 8: do a Muppet thing where the star freet officers wouldn't
- 47:02Speaker 8: do that. So I hated it. And obviously the oxygen
- 47:10Speaker 8: thing when they said, oh yeah, puppets don't need oxygen
- 47:14Speaker 8: when you straight away that was going to be the
- 47:18Speaker 8: the answer, wasn't it. It was just like the most
- 47:22Speaker 8: telegraphed thing of the whole episode.
- 47:26Speaker 4: I hated it.
- 47:27Speaker 8: Basically, I'm having to have talked for any quietly because
- 47:29Speaker 8: I've got my family upstairs and I don't want them
- 47:32Speaker 8: thinking I'm actually making the effort to talk about this
- 47:36Speaker 8: utter build. However, they don't know how fight your show
- 47:40Speaker 8: is on that bombshell. We're going to leave you fine, gentlemen,
- 47:45Speaker 8: and look forward to speaking with you again soon. That's
- 47:51Speaker 8: the other thing it's getting I used to walk on
- 47:53Speaker 8: a Friday night, then it's like a Saturday night. Then
- 47:56Speaker 8: it's on a Sunday, and it's becoming a drag to watch,
- 48:00Speaker 8: and that's really sad about Star Trek.
- 48:03Speaker 3: There you go, Yeah, yeah, I know that, Bane buddy. Yeah.
- 48:08Speaker 3: And if you guys want to leave us a voicemail,
- 48:10Speaker 3: you can too. So five seven zero six six one
- 48:13Speaker 3: zero zero zero one five seven zero six six one
- 48:16Speaker 3: zero zero zero one.
- 48:18Speaker 2: So, and you can also leave us emails ATTG at
- 48:25Speaker 2: gmail dot com. You can send me an email at
- 48:27Speaker 2: strong Beard one seven to one at gmail dot com.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I've gotten email here. Hi, guys, it's Tim from Australia.
- 48:36Speaker 2: So we got both. Tim's not a lot of love
- 48:39Speaker 2: for the season of Strange New World. Huh. The crew
- 48:41Speaker 2: turned into muppets. Star Trek has never done anything the
- 48:45Speaker 2: stupid as this before, except for the time the Transporter
- 48:49Speaker 2: turned the crew into kids, or the Transporter put everyone
- 48:51Speaker 2: into James Bond program, or the time they went to
- 48:54Speaker 2: Sherwood Forest, or the time they fought World War II
- 48:57Speaker 2: on Voyager, or the time Irish Gypsies tried to take
- 48:59Speaker 2: over the ship, or the time Moriorty took over the ship,
- 49:03Speaker 2: or the time that Runabout turned tiny, or the time
- 49:05Speaker 2: they ran into Abraham Lincoln in space or the time
- 49:07Speaker 2: they ran into Apollo in space, or the time Moriority
- 49:11Speaker 2: took over the ship. Strange New Worlds boldly going where
- 49:15Speaker 2: Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel went before. Mm hmm,
- 49:19Speaker 2: thank you Tim very Uh yeah on point.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Yeah, fair enough? All right, Uh yeah, so we got
- 49:29Speaker 3: some people on the line, got Hipsterspock and Jazmiz will
- 49:32Speaker 3: go with hipsterstock first, so there is Hey, Hipster'spock. What's
- 49:36Speaker 3: going on?
- 49:37Speaker 6: Hello, guys, how are you doing good? Doing good? Luckily
- 49:46Speaker 6: I don't have that much access to Strange New World
- 49:51Speaker 6: but I figure, okay, it's a puppet episode and I'm
- 49:55Speaker 6: just really curious. So I watched it, and I watched
- 49:59Speaker 6: the first episode of the season. Well the first episode.
- 50:04Speaker 6: It didn't really hate. And I can say that I
- 50:08Speaker 6: thought I was gonna hate this one, but really I didn't,
- 50:12Speaker 6: which was surprising. But I really didn't hate it. It
- 50:16Speaker 6: was just silly and you know, like.
- 50:23Speaker 4: Little thing.
- 50:23Speaker 6: Uh remember miss Peaky can also karate chop people.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Right, so it's canon, got it?
- 50:32Speaker 2: Mm?
- 50:32Speaker 6: Hmm. And uh and Community and.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Get angry like the Hulk.
- 50:40Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that's true, that's true.
- 50:43Speaker 7: Huh.
- 50:44Speaker 3: I like the idea that starfet officers were like, remember
- 50:46Speaker 3: your miss Piggy training.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 50:54Speaker 6: And the thing is, uh, you know, Community also did
- 50:58Speaker 6: a puppet episode.
- 51:00Speaker 3: Okay, yeah you can.
- 51:05Speaker 6: I think it's about some of the meaning of Christmas
- 51:08Speaker 6: or something, so you can you can look a look
- 51:13Speaker 6: that up if you want. But really, I'll probably watch
- 51:17Speaker 6: the last episode of the season to see how it's
- 51:20Speaker 6: gonna go into the next one. But I guess, you know,
- 51:25Speaker 6: just picking and choosing probably helps me stay sane. So
- 51:31Speaker 6: that's that. And listening to you guys, you know, having
- 51:36Speaker 6: to go through the torture of having to watch all
- 51:40Speaker 6: the other ones. That's also kind of entertaining.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Thank you for that service, for acknowledging our sacrifice.
- 51:47Speaker 6: That's right, that's right, it is, it is duly noticed.
- 51:52Speaker 2: Yes, thank you, thank you.
- 51:54Speaker 6: All right, I'll let chast Biz on. Thanks guys, and
- 51:58Speaker 6: keep up the good work.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Say sister Spock, we appreciate it, all right.
- 52:03Speaker 3: Yeah, And as he said, jas Biz is also waiting,
- 52:05Speaker 3: so let's uh, let's bring him on there he is
- 52:09Speaker 3: there's jazz biz. Yes, it's real, it's real.
- 52:13Speaker 2: What do you think of the puppets?
- 52:16Speaker 9: Benny turned into a puppet. So if that episode where
- 52:24Speaker 9: Benjamin goes back in time and he's a puppet, I
- 52:26Speaker 9: don't think that one would have worked on d S nine.
- 52:30Speaker 3: I kind of wanted to know it's real at the
- 52:32Speaker 3: end of.
- 52:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, but this, I don't know.
- 52:41Speaker 9: It's like I like Jim Henson's creature shop. You know,
- 52:44Speaker 9: this is Jim Henson's son. Brian Hanson created the puppets,
- 52:48Speaker 9: so that's why they looked like muppets, not puppets. So
- 52:54Speaker 9: you know, of course he would do a good job,
- 52:56Speaker 9: but for some reason it wasn't fitting for the series
- 52:59Speaker 9: and would have worked with Lower Decks. If they did
- 53:01Speaker 9: a crossover Lower Decks episode where they made it live
- 53:05Speaker 9: action but their live action was you know, they turned
- 53:07Speaker 9: into puppets, would have been kind of funny.
- 53:10Speaker 2: So yeah, if they bring Lower Decks back for a
- 53:16Speaker 2: season six, maybe that probably would do a puppet episode.
- 53:20Speaker 2: You know.
- 53:20Speaker 4: The the other option that they could have done if
- 53:22Speaker 4: they wanted to do a muppet episode is just shoot
- 53:27Speaker 4: a regular episode of the show.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 53:29Speaker 4: But everyone's a muppet.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Don't mention it, don't try any attention to it. Just
- 53:36Speaker 4: shoot the episode as if it's totally normal.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the direction they could have gone.
- 53:43Speaker 4: They could do the same thing. They could do the
- 53:45Speaker 4: same thing. They could just do an animated episode. They
- 53:47Speaker 4: could do a claymation episode, they could do a Pixar
- 53:51Speaker 4: style episode, and you just you just make me make
- 53:55Speaker 4: no mention of it. It's just we're doing this story,
- 53:59Speaker 4: but we're chaining the medium that we're using to present it.
- 54:03Speaker 4: I would have been happier with that.
- 54:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, I did like the scene where they accidentally,
- 54:11Speaker 2: uh they're they're, you know, communicating with the Orion ship
- 54:15Speaker 2: just uh audio only, and then Ahura accidentally turns it
- 54:19Speaker 2: into visual and like the look on the Orion's faces
- 54:22Speaker 2: were like.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Yeah, would it have been better if they visited like
- 54:31Speaker 3: a race of puppets and somehow transporting there they became puppets.
- 54:36Speaker 9: Sentient puppets.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, yeah, I don't know, I don't know. It's
- 54:43Speaker 2: it's hard.
- 54:44Speaker 9: Yeah, but Carol Kane's voice I cannot understand. I liked
- 54:49Speaker 9: what her puppet look like. I can't understand, like that
- 54:53Speaker 9: accent she's using for the show. I have a hard time.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Yeah, nobody understands her accent. And it's okay to say
- 55:00Speaker 2: it's not racist to say we don't understand her because
- 55:02Speaker 2: she'd made it up.
- 55:04Speaker 9: Yeah, it's made up backscent, and it's real hard to
- 55:06Speaker 9: It's like I can't.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Understand maybe you no, I forget who was saying it.
- 55:10Speaker 3: But maybe it was that quality of that audio recording too,
- 55:13Speaker 3: like the ADR.
- 55:14Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 55:15Speaker 3: Whatever however they did, it just did not help her.
- 55:19Speaker 9: So because they usually go to studio and they clean
- 55:22Speaker 9: it up, you know. Yeah, sometimes it works and sometimes
- 55:26Speaker 9: it doesn't.
- 55:27Speaker 3: It's like they went into a closet with a kniphone
- 55:29Speaker 3: and said, go record your lines.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Right.
- 55:31Speaker 9: My favorite I watched a movie I was at Warren Peace,
- 55:35Speaker 9: like in the fifties, and you can tell this scene
- 55:38Speaker 9: was eighty R because she's outside talking and you hear
- 55:40Speaker 9: it echo. Yeah, he's in a hallway yep, And I
- 55:45Speaker 9: was like, okay, that's a added on scene.
- 55:48Speaker 2: So oh.
- 55:50Speaker 4: I can remember in the late eighties watching Rubocop but
- 55:56Speaker 4: it had aired on network television and just laughing at
- 56:03Speaker 4: you know, the scene when they're in the truck and
- 56:05Speaker 4: Clarence is screaming at Bobby because he burnt the money
- 56:08Speaker 4: when he blew the door. Yeah, okay, so there's you know,
- 56:12Speaker 4: he never says the money. It's the f and money
- 56:16Speaker 4: every time, but it was. But it was like, you
- 56:18Speaker 4: burnt the silly money. You burnt the silly money.
- 56:21Speaker 3: It's like, what do you talk about?
- 56:23Speaker 4: Nobody talks like that.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Yes, the bad sometimes I called him a lot worse.
- 56:30Speaker 9: Yeah, I remember watching a scarface on TV and that
- 56:38Speaker 9: they asked Tony like, where'd you get the scar from?
- 56:41Speaker 9: It said the first of the movie and the cops
- 56:44Speaker 9: are interrogating and where'd you get the scar from? He's
- 56:47Speaker 9: like from eating pineapple?
- 56:50Speaker 3: You know, TV and movies are pretty hilarious.
- 56:58Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, basic.
- 57:01Speaker 2: That Bill said he had a hard time understanding Scottie,
- 57:05Speaker 2: And for this episode, I did have a hard time understanding.
- 57:10Speaker 2: He's got that real accident. You know, he's got the
- 57:12Speaker 2: real thick accent. I mean, yeah, there were a lot
- 57:17Speaker 2: of ours being rolled and a lot.
- 57:19Speaker 9: Of Yeah, it's kind of funny when you think about it,
- 57:23Speaker 9: you know, because he's got a thick accent. But the communicator, right,
- 57:27Speaker 9: you can get all the aliens.
- 57:30Speaker 2: They can't smooth off the accent.
- 57:32Speaker 4: So why doesn't the Universal Translator delete accents? That's a
- 57:37Speaker 4: good question.
- 57:38Speaker 9: So you can just understand them a lot better because
- 57:41Speaker 9: you can talk to Vulcans, talked to fore Angis, talk
- 57:44Speaker 9: to Kardassians all that.
- 57:45Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, but if you're from you know, if you're
- 57:47Speaker 4: from Louisiana a lot. Yeah.
- 57:50Speaker 2: I was just gonna say, like, you can have it.
- 57:52Speaker 2: You could have a setting on the Universal Translator to
- 57:54Speaker 2: like American whitewash the accents for you. Yeah, so that
- 57:58Speaker 2: they all speak with like a minute like a Midwestern accent.
- 58:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, regional to you, American television standard, that's the same.
- 58:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I cannot do it. Captain, I do not have
- 58:09Speaker 2: the power.
- 58:11Speaker 9: He goes to Boom Howard.
- 58:13Speaker 3: Like, yeah, he speaks like a Shakespearean actor, right right. Yeah,
- 58:20Speaker 3: Oh that's funny. That's a good idea. Should the should
- 58:23Speaker 3: the Universal Translator clean up accents? We could do that, Yeah,
- 58:28Speaker 3: I think they should.
- 58:30Speaker 9: Yeah, and that'd be a good horror episode. You know,
- 58:34Speaker 9: maybe she's working with like some scientists or you know,
- 58:37Speaker 9: somebody coming up with the translator.
- 58:40Speaker 3: I can't wait for season five when they lie to
- 58:42Speaker 3: us and tell us we did exactly what the fans wanted.
- 58:45Speaker 3: This is gonna be great. You guys will love it.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I'm looking forward to the season finale of
- 58:53Speaker 2: this this season, I'm halfway there, so yeah, left, Oh,
- 59:00Speaker 2: because sounds really good. Tomorrow's enterprise or yes, yesterday's Yeah,
- 59:04Speaker 2: Tomorrow's enterprise. I guess it's called There's there's one. Yeah,
- 59:09Speaker 2: there's one coming up that doesn't make any sense the
- 59:15Speaker 2: lines fantasy whatever. Oh yeah, which seems to me like
- 59:20Speaker 2: a rehash of a previous episode.
- 59:23Speaker 9: Oh were they Yes, I know you're talking about where
- 59:26Speaker 9: they did on the first episode.
- 59:28Speaker 2: We've got one and a half seasons left of this shower,
- 59:32Speaker 2: which is only fifteen more episodes. Yeah, so are they
- 59:36Speaker 2: doing a full season for next year?
- 59:38Speaker 3: Nope, it's half. It's like six episodes.
- 59:41Speaker 9: Yes, so we got ACKed everything up. There's nothing that
- 59:45Speaker 9: they can't do reshoots.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Six episodes. Okay, so we've got so we've got one
- 59:49Speaker 2: season left. We've got one season left of what is
- 59:53Speaker 2: a short season anyways, Right, so there's the last third
- 59:57Speaker 2: of a face nine season. Yes, they can't start a
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: new storyline, no, watch.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Them try, because the next storyline is gonna be how
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: Kirk kicks.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Over can't start a new storyline. Have you never seen Lost?
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: They started new storylines the second to last episode. That's right,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: it just didn't pay them off.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm afraid of, is they're not going
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: to pay off a lot of the things that they've
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: started already, or they're going to try to start something
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: and then have to rush to pay it off.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: I promise you they're going to leave on a cliffhanger.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: So then that way, in their minds, the fans will
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: want to see the end of it and hopefully give
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: them another season in Paramount will keep working with them.
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: That's going to be their plan.
- 1:00:42Speaker 9: Don't forget they have a guy that wrote on Loss
- 1:00:45Speaker 9: that show runs the show.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: So yeah, they already showed that season it was it
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: was broadcast in nineteen sixty six.
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: Yeah, Well they tried to do Ratha con tonight with
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: the or the puppet episode where the needs of the
- 1:01:00Speaker 9: mini So don't put it past them, guys.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, this episode, it had a lot of feedback
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: for us. The Facebook group was just nuts with it.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, over over twelve hundred comments.
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: So hey, sometimes bad episodes help you guys out.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, and I am
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: going to enjoy the d Yeah.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Yes, but but uh, we're saying it's a bad episode,
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: but like I said, about sixty percent people loved it,
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: so yeah.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: I guess to be fair to the episode, you have
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: to look at it by itself, Paul or something. Yeah,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: and I think of it through the lens of a
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: crappy season.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Right, yes, yes, and I think that's how people are
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: taking it.
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: So that's where DS nine paid off, where you had
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: those goofy, franky episodes but still had great content.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: Right. You almost had to have those goofy, fringy episodes
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: to lighten up the Dominion War, you know when they
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: did that for one episode of the ferringis all doing
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: that like observation to tarak Nor to rescue Moogie. You know,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: that was in the middle of the worst parts of
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: the Dominion War, and so everybody was kind of like
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: took a sigh, like, you know, took a took a breath.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: It's like it was yeah, okay, or turned to a woman.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: You know, had to have those episodes. We don't need
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: those episodes here. We're desperately clamoring for the the main topic,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: the main you.
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: Know, Yeah, well, we want to see Pike be a captain,
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: and he's kind of a pushover.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: You know, it sounds like next week we're going to
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: get an actual Star Trek episode.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Kick Ass Spot.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Yeah, well it's any Pike has become not the main
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: character in his show.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Yeah, well we know how his story ends, right, so
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: they kind of have to start moving in that direction. Yeah,
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: unless they're gonna just throw completely throw counting out the windows.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: What I think they're gonna do they do? That's just yeah,
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: I really think that's what they're gonna do.
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: All I gotta say is, whoever's gonna be the new showrunner,
- 1:03:28Speaker 9: All they gotta do is pull a new heart ending.
- 1:03:32Speaker 9: And he wakes up and he's on the bridge of
- 1:03:36Speaker 9: the d with you know, Riker, Indiana's like I had
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: the worst nightmare.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: M hmm.
- 1:03:42Speaker 9: Yeah, and just like so then none of that ship
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: ever happened.
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: So if this episode was a dream, and then Riker
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: dreams it's a strange new world, Yeah, it's a dream
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: within it within a dream, that's right.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: With with puppets, Yeah, with puppets.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: So next week's episode called off Hour. The tagline is
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: an off duty window becomes a warp emergency when the
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Enterprise is pushed beyond its safe limits.
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: Okay, all right, I'm cautiously optimistic hopefully. Yeah, but I'm
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: hitting the truck cast.
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: Yeah we should run out, all right, Scott?
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: Where you're going to put the d at wherever he wants?
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I'm not really sure. Yeah, well we'll have to have
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: some family discussions about it.
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: Yeah, how are you going to show that d off at?
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: I want to show that d off for desiree. There
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: you got centrally on that.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, we'll see you guys later and we'll
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: catch you next week.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Bye, live, long and prosper Bye.
