  Speaker 1: Maybe you think, well, I haven't been up very long,

  Speaker 1: and I don't know that He's done much for me,

  Speaker 1: but when you think about it.

  Speaker 1: He's given you another day of life. He's kept your

  Speaker 1: heart beating all evening. You're still breathing. You're still in
• 0:29
  Speaker 1: this world. Your life still has potential. No matter what
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: you're facing. There is hope for you in this life.

  Speaker 1: How can I say that? Because I know God.
• 0:41
  Speaker 1: And God is involved in your life even right now.
• 0:45
  Speaker 1: You're listening to this radio spot that's focusing your mind

  Speaker 1: on what God is saying to you. This is God's

  Speaker 1: voice speaking to you as we go to the Bible

  Speaker 1: now and wanting to give you some insight for the

  Speaker 1: way forward. We're talking all this week about guidance and

  Speaker 1: how to find God's will in our lives as we
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: go forward.

  Speaker 1: And I want to take you today to a little
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: verse in Mark chapter 11 in the Bible when Jesus says,
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: Therefore I say to you, all things for which you
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: they will be granted to you.

  Speaker 1: Well, clearly Jesus wants us to come to God in faith.

  Speaker 1: To believe that God is capable and willing to provide
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: what we need and that includes the guidance we need
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: to move forward in life, you know, as the Creator
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: of this universe, the one who started life itself even
• 1:59
  Speaker 1: on the physical level, and then who sustains it, the
• 2:03
  Speaker 1: one who keeps us going.
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: Can we doubt that God could do what we need
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: in life, that God can lead us and guide us
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: and make the way forward for us.
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: What's more, he loves us. We know that because He
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: died on the cross for us.
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: And if he loves us that much, is he going
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: to deny us the things that are for our good?
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: We already know he's done the greatest thing possible for us.

  Speaker 1: So why would we doubt that he would do a
• 2:37
  Speaker 1: far lesser thing for us? The fact is, God wants
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: to be involved in your life. He wants to be
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: active in your life every single day of your life. Now,
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: when God is active in your life, it doesn't mean
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: your life is smooth.
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that he makes everything easy, but he's
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: in your life in the middle of whatever's easy, whatever's hard,
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: whatever's joyful, whatever is sorrowful. There is always the hope
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: God is with me. He is here.
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: He loves me. He wants to help me. And not
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: only that, but he wants to guide me. He wants
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: to help me know the way forward. He wants to
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: help me move into his plan for my life.
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: And sometimes we think guidance means, well, I can get
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: God to help me with my plans for my life.
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: But that's not how God works. He waits for us
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: to come to Him and say, OK, God, I'm putting
• 3:40
  Speaker 1: you first. Do you remember those famous verses out of
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter 3, verses 5 and 6? Trust in the
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him.
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: And he will direct your paths well in all your
• 4:02
  Speaker 1: ways acknowledge Him doesn't sound like you're putting yourself at
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: the centre, does it, and wanting God to bless you. No,
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: it sounds like you're saying, God, I want to be
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: where you want me to be. I want you in
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: the centre of my life, and God so honours and
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: responds to the person who puts Him at the centre
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: of their lives.
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: He then leads that person. He directs their paths, and
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: you know, sometimes you don't have a conscious sense of
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: God's direction. You might be saying, God, lead me. God
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: lead me, and you're waiting and you're hitting the deadline.
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: Time's running out. You don't have some special sense of direction,
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: but here's the confidence you can have, even when I
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: don't sense some special guidance.
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: God is still directing my paths through my decisions, through
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: the influences of others, through the circumstances that come. God
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: is putting me exactly where He wants me when I
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: put Him in the centre of my life.
