- 0:00Speaker 1: At six thirteen ten WU, I, B A and ask
- 0:03Speaker 1: the experts. Joined this morning by Andrew Larson. Of course,
- 0:06Speaker 1: Andrew comes to us from Larsen Home Services the website
- 0:10Speaker 1: Larsenhome Services dot com. That's l A R S O
- 0:14Speaker 1: N Home Services dot com. Tell for what number? Six
- 0:17Speaker 1: so eight, five three, five forty three forty three. That's
- 0:20Speaker 1: five three, five forty three forty three. Andrew, how you
- 0:24Speaker 1: doing this morning?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Ah, it's so nice outside. Yeah, it feels like it's
- 0:29Speaker 2: all football starting. Kids are back in school.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Everything is ready with the world.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Most time for pumpkinspice latte.
- 0:38Speaker 1: You're not going for that kind of thing, are you?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Oh I'm not, But I said it to my wife
- 0:41Speaker 2: the other morning. I'm like, gosh, it's like it's like
- 0:44Speaker 2: almost flannel pumpkinspice latte weather. Oh.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And she got kiddied, didn't she.
- 0:48Speaker 2: She did? You know she did? And I like fall two,
- 0:52Speaker 2: but I hate what comes after it.
- 0:53Speaker 3: So yeah, we got a good a good three or
- 0:58Speaker 3: more three months or so up, some nice cool mornings
- 1:01Speaker 3: and moderate moderate afternoons.
- 1:04Speaker 2: But it's perfect working weather. I'll tell you that it
- 1:07Speaker 2: is a working weather right now.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It is a great time to be out getting stuff
- 1:11Speaker 1: done and of course having things done in your home.
- 1:13Speaker 1: It's a fantastic time, and Andrew. I know the team
- 1:16Speaker 1: at Large Home Services. You guys are working year round.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You guys work every month of the year. There's always
- 1:21Speaker 1: something that you guys are able to offer folks. And
- 1:24Speaker 1: of course, when it comes to taking care of your home,
- 1:27Speaker 1: that stuff, especially in the winter months. If you start
- 1:29Speaker 1: to see proms, now it's time to think about prevention.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And one of the really great things is obviously at
- 1:34Speaker 1: the start of the season spring and summer, we talk
- 1:37Speaker 1: a lot, a lot about gutter shutter and I know
- 1:39Speaker 1: the phones just go crazy, and of course folks are
- 1:43Speaker 1: this time you're getting on the schedule as well. It
- 1:45Speaker 1: is a really good time of the year to get
- 1:47Speaker 1: on the schedule for a number of reasons. One you
- 1:50Speaker 1: mentioned the nice cool temperatures. Everybody loves having work done
- 1:53Speaker 1: in this type of environment. But you guys do a
- 1:57Speaker 1: little a little bit of a little bit of a
- 1:59Speaker 1: disc count this time year. Am I right on that? Andrew?
- 2:02Speaker 2: Well, you know, here's what happens is every year, without fail,
- 2:08Speaker 2: we get to like November and people are calling and
- 2:10Speaker 2: saying we need a new roof, and we need it
- 2:13Speaker 2: done before the snowflies. I'm just going, why don't we
- 2:18Speaker 2: call earlier. I mean, we do everything that we can,
- 2:21Speaker 2: and luckily the past few years, like weather's been pretty
- 2:25Speaker 2: mild up into December and we've been able to get
- 2:28Speaker 2: a lot of stuff done. But you know, maybe this
- 2:30Speaker 2: year is the year where we get one of those
- 2:32Speaker 2: November snowstorms. You just you don't know. So I said
- 2:35Speaker 2: to my marketing guy, said, why don't we just let's
- 2:38Speaker 2: just offer a bigger discount right now to let people know, like, hey,
- 2:44Speaker 2: now's the time call, get an estimate, call get an inspection,
- 2:48Speaker 2: because we're offering seventy five percent off installation labor. We've
- 2:51Speaker 2: been doing fifty percent off installation labor or nothing all year.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And I said, let's up it sooner. We're normally upping
- 2:59Speaker 2: it at the end of the year to get the
- 3:01Speaker 2: last few jobs in. But I think it makes more
- 3:03Speaker 2: sense to give it a little earlier and that way,
- 3:06Speaker 2: you know, people can take the weather's nice right now.
- 3:10Speaker 2: And one thing that we know is really important is
- 3:12Speaker 2: that if we come to somebody's house, whether it's for
- 3:15Speaker 2: a roof restore, roof repair, or a full roof once
- 3:20Speaker 2: we do our inspection. You know, again, sometimes there's nothing wrong.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Usually there is, but sometimes there's nothing wrong. But when
- 3:28Speaker 2: there is, people are excited to get it done. So
- 3:31Speaker 2: we've kind of made it our mission to not have
- 3:35Speaker 2: to make people wait a long time. We've got multiple
- 3:38Speaker 2: roofing crews, multiple roofing managers, and we've not been more
- 3:41Speaker 2: than a couple weeks out on roofing all year long,
- 3:45Speaker 2: sometimes weeks doing as many as fifteen to twenty full
- 3:48Speaker 2: new roofs. So we have the capacity to get things done.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And when we get someone excited about getting a changing
- 3:54Speaker 2: the look of their house, changing the color, changing stuff,
- 3:56Speaker 2: whatever it is, you don't have to wait real long.
- 4:00Speaker 2: But now is a great time because we're not we're
- 4:03Speaker 2: not hitting that cold part yet. The weather is it's
- 4:06Speaker 2: absolutely perfect, probably the best time of year two work outside.
- 4:11Speaker 2: In the spring, we get who you never know what
- 4:13Speaker 2: we can get. I mean, I think the first week
- 4:15Speaker 2: of April we got like eight inches of snow, right,
- 4:17Speaker 2: we never know what we're going to get. But in
- 4:18Speaker 2: the fall, we know we're going to get nice, mild temperatures,
- 4:21Speaker 2: great for getting a lot of work done. So it's
- 4:24Speaker 2: a great time a year for a discount. It's a
- 4:26Speaker 2: great time of year for just for pure weather wise
- 4:29Speaker 2: and working conditions. So I just to advise people, don't
- 4:33Speaker 2: don't wait till the end of October, don't wait till November.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Call call today.
- 4:38Speaker 1: There's a great, great rewards and being prepared and starting
- 4:42Speaker 1: that conversation. As Andrew mentions, call today, call now six
- 4:45Speaker 1: eight five three five forty three forty three. That's five
- 4:49Speaker 1: three five forty three forty three. Got questions or concerns
- 4:52Speaker 1: about your roof you haven't had it inspected for a while, Definitely,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the folks from large home services out you get options
- 4:57Speaker 1: like roof for store. Also if you need a new roof,
- 4:59Speaker 1: it's a great time to do that as well. Again,
- 5:01Speaker 1: we talk about some of the biggest discounts of the
- 5:03Speaker 1: year right now. When you got to beat that rush.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Of course, as we start to get colder and colder
- 5:08Speaker 1: and people start seeing the leaves come down, and then
- 5:10Speaker 1: folks start seeing temperatures drop and snowflakes coming down, phones
- 5:14Speaker 1: start really going crazy. It's a great time right now
- 5:16Speaker 1: to give them. Call Lars Storm Services six so eight
- 5:18Speaker 1: five three five forty three forty three. That's five three, five,
- 5:22Speaker 1: forty three, forty three and the roof for store and
- 5:24Speaker 1: the restoring process that you guys have been doing at
- 5:27Speaker 1: Lars Stome Services about a year now, year two now
- 5:30Speaker 1: since you've been you've been really talking about that part
- 5:34Speaker 1: of Lars Snome Services. It's a really nice thing that
- 5:38Speaker 1: you guys offer a largs storm services for homeowners who
- 5:40Speaker 1: may have a roof that's that's older but maybe not
- 5:44Speaker 1: completely ready for a complete redo, and you guys can
- 5:49Speaker 1: get a get a few years of life. And of
- 5:51Speaker 1: course when we look at those winter months, you can
- 5:53Speaker 1: also protect the house during those extreme temperatures through the
- 5:57Speaker 1: winter months with the roof of store, can't you.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know a lot of people, first of all,
- 6:03Speaker 2: a lot of people don't know, I mean, how long
- 6:05Speaker 2: is the roof gonna last. There's a lot of you know,
- 6:07Speaker 2: shingle manufacturers that claim lifetime warranties. I mean, we have
- 6:10Speaker 2: a lifetime warranty on our roof. It doesn't mean it's
- 6:12Speaker 2: gonna last forever. What it means is if it if
- 6:16Speaker 2: it goes bad before fifty years, you know we're going
- 6:18Speaker 2: to take care of it. And that's you know, that's
- 6:21Speaker 2: the peace of mind to homeowner gets with with working
- 6:23Speaker 2: with a master or elite roofer that can put a
- 6:25Speaker 2: Golden pledge warranty on a roof. But for most roofs,
- 6:29Speaker 2: once you get to that fifteen, eighteen twenty year mark,
- 6:34Speaker 2: the shingles might look okay, but there's certain things that
- 6:38Speaker 2: can go bad. Flashings, you know, chimney ringlets, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 2: different key leak areas, and what we like to do
- 6:47Speaker 2: is check those areas. We get to a lot of
- 6:50Speaker 2: places somebody says we need a new roof. It's leaking.
- 6:52Speaker 2: We go open and inspect and it's like, no, the
- 6:55Speaker 2: roof is good. It's it's the key components. And that
- 7:00Speaker 2: that's why we like to call it a restore. So
- 7:01Speaker 2: if we go up on a roof and we do
- 7:02Speaker 2: an inspection and you've got say five pipe boots or
- 7:05Speaker 2: four pipe boots and one's leaking and they're all original,
- 7:10Speaker 2: what's the point of just fixing one. We should probably
- 7:13Speaker 2: instead of just repairing one, we should probably try to
- 7:17Speaker 2: restore and bring that bring real life back to the
- 7:20Speaker 2: roof and replace all of them. Because if one went
- 7:23Speaker 2: bad and they're all the same age, there's typically going
- 7:26Speaker 2: to be the same type of wear on them. So
- 7:28Speaker 2: that's why we call it a restore process, not so
- 7:31Speaker 2: much a repair. We get up a lot of times
- 7:32Speaker 2: and people have moisture moisture issues. Well, we get up
- 7:36Speaker 2: and they'll have a couple of box vents on the
- 7:38Speaker 2: top of the roof. It's not nearly enough roofing or
- 7:41Speaker 2: nearly enough ventilation. So we're going to restore. We're gonna
- 7:44Speaker 2: plug those box vent box vents, and we're gonna move
- 7:47Speaker 2: the ventilation up to a ridge vent where we can
- 7:49Speaker 2: properly vent the entire roof, potentially bringing years of life
- 7:53Speaker 2: back to that roof and keeping shingles out of landfills.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I mean, there's lots of reasons for it, but I mean,
- 8:00Speaker 2: best thing for the homeowner is know your shingles aren't bad.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You've got some key components that are bad. But we
- 8:06Speaker 2: can restore it, bringing back years of life. And then
- 8:09Speaker 2: you know, our hope is that we do a great job,
- 8:11Speaker 2: they love the experience, and then when they do need
- 8:13Speaker 2: a new roof, they call us back to replace that roof,
- 8:15Speaker 2: but hopefully it's not for a few years down the road.
- 8:17Speaker 2: So that's really the restore process. And if people have
- 8:20Speaker 2: leaks or drips or stuff isn't looking the best from
- 8:24Speaker 2: the ground, probably isn't looking the best from you know,
- 8:28Speaker 2: from up close. So I would advise you having us
- 8:30Speaker 2: come out do it an inspection. We're going to do
- 8:33Speaker 2: a free seventeen point inspection. We do in seventeen point
- 8:36Speaker 2: inspections on our gutter estimates as well, just because we're
- 8:39Speaker 2: already up there and most people have never had a
- 8:42Speaker 2: roof inspection, and why not get it for free. Give
- 8:45Speaker 2: you some peace of mind. Most of the time everything's good,
- 8:48Speaker 2: but if it's not, we want to take care of
- 8:49Speaker 2: it at least let the homeowner know.
- 8:51Speaker 1: That's a great thing too about working with Largstom service.
- 8:53Speaker 1: As you mentioned, not only roofs, but also of course
- 8:56Speaker 1: we get into fall a months gutter shutter. It's a
- 8:58Speaker 1: prime time now to start that kind conversation. Pickup phone,
- 9:01Speaker 1: give him a call today, don't waste any time. Six
- 9:03Speaker 1: oh eight five three five forty three forty three. That's
- 9:06Speaker 1: five three, five forty three four three. Have folks from
- 9:09Speaker 1: our storm services out take a look at your roof.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Gid you that seventeen point inspection. It's not going to
- 9:13Speaker 1: cost anything. You'll get that peace of mind. Everything's fine.
- 9:16Speaker 1: If you have some problem areas, they will let you
- 9:18Speaker 1: know about those as well. But you got to do
- 9:19Speaker 1: the right thing this morning. Pickup phone, give me a
- 9:21Speaker 1: call six oh eight, five three five forty three forty three.
- 9:24Speaker 1: That's five three, five forty three forty three Andrew, it's
- 9:27Speaker 1: always great chatting with you. You enjoy this beautiful day.
- 9:29Speaker 2: All right, well chat Next week we
- 9:31Speaker 1: Head down to the rainforest of Guatemala where Kevin Ham
- 9:34Speaker 1: is literally in a tree in Guatemala, and he will
- 9:37Speaker 1: be joining us next here on thirteen ten WIB eight
