- 1:50Speaker 1: That I'm Hot Coogle and have my own welcome Welcome
- 1:53Speaker 1: you do you do have your I was I was
- 1:55Speaker 1: focusing on something. I know what you were looking at.
- 1:58Speaker 2: You're looking way almost I was reading, thank you for

- 2:04Speaker 2: I'm kidding. Let's we've got a lot to talk about.
- 2:06Speaker 2: We'll talk about so obviously NFL's big.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Right now, we'll get to college basketball tournaments getting ready
- 2:12Speaker 3: to ramp up. Women have already started, men will be
- 2:15Speaker 3: starting soon. Got the NBA back at it after the
- 2:18Speaker 3: All Star break. We'll touch on some hockey standings.
- 2:22Speaker 1: But gonna go ahead and apologize. I just checked the mics,
- 2:25Speaker 1: and I didn't check that before we started, So I'm
- 2:28Speaker 1: on now. Oh yeah, we're on. Okay, you run about
- 2:31Speaker 1: halfway through your little ring.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Okay, okay, well okay, well let's thank you producer Sean.
- 2:35Speaker 1: All Right, so I guess it didn't matter whether you
- 2:38Speaker 1: were in the.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Mic or not exactly. Well, let's get to big news today.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Well, actually, yesterday Lou Holtz, legendary coach, passed away.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So said r P r P I r I P
- 2:50Speaker 1: r P.
- 2:50Speaker 3: He didn't run much r P I, but we'll do
- 2:52Speaker 3: an r P I or an r I P RP.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Obviously coached, brought them to prominence or kept them. I
- 3:02Speaker 3: guess I mean, because then you've got went to Minnesota
- 3:06Speaker 3: for a small a few years, obviously took Notre Dame
- 3:10Speaker 3: to their last national championship in nineteen eighty eight.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Well realized that long ago.
- 3:15Speaker 1: He did so he did this. He did a lot
- 3:18Speaker 1: of commencement speeches and he talks about you able to
- 3:23Speaker 1: go ahead, and you know you want to hear this,
- 3:24Speaker 1: you want to try go ahead. Okay, this is a
- 3:27Speaker 1: twenty fifteen commencement speech. I heard this earlier on Danny
- 3:29Speaker 1: and Dusty, and uh, thank you. It's really indeed humbled in.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Honors at the un to be awarded a doctor's degree
- 3:41Speaker 4: from such an outstanding university. And I say that from
- 3:44Speaker 4: the bottom of my heart. I was born in Floresby,
- 3:46Speaker 4: West Virginia, raised in dasch Liverpool, Ohio, so I was
- 3:50Speaker 4: very familiar with Stuve Bill nineteen fifty.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna jump I'm gonna jump ahead.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Poly unfair because not all our team was Catholic. But
- 4:02Speaker 4: we have this big lunch of three thousand people. I
- 4:04Speaker 4: go in in the father gets somebody says before I
- 4:09Speaker 4: give in vacation, coach holds, I want you to know
- 4:11Speaker 4: I'm a Catholic priest. I'm the team chaplain of Miami
- 4:14Speaker 4: football team. We came up here to beat you, and
- 4:18Speaker 4: I want you to know God doesn't care who wins
- 4:20Speaker 4: this game. Whenever turn came my turn to talk, I
- 4:24Speaker 4: get up and said, I agree with your father. God
- 4:27Speaker 4: doesn't care who wins a game, but I want to
- 4:28Speaker 4: promise you as mother does.
- 4:30Speaker 1: So it's just because of steaming life. Now going to
- 4:38Speaker 1: take more of those in a body, girl.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Life doesn't have to be complicated. We complicate life. I'm
- 4:45Speaker 4: going to make five assumptions about the people in this audience.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I'm going to assume you want to be successful professionally.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I'm going to assume you want to have a good
- 4:53Speaker 4: personal life. I'm going to assume that you want to
- 4:59Speaker 4: feel needed. Now, I'm going to assume you want to
- 5:02Speaker 4: feel secure about your future. The fifth is subject i'm
- 5:06Speaker 4: gonna make is you want to go to heaven. Now,
- 5:09Speaker 4: I'm gonna give you a simple plan how to do
- 5:10Speaker 4: all five, Because see, you don't have to sacrifice your
- 5:13Speaker 4: religious life your personal life in order to advance professionally.
- 5:18Speaker 1: They all work.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Together and don't complicate it. I try to keep life simple.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Do you realize there are only seven killers of the Rainbow,
- 5:26Speaker 4: only seven. Look what Michaelangelo did with those seven cows killers.
- 5:33Speaker 4: There's only seven musical notes. Look what Beethovein did with
- 5:38Speaker 4: those seven notes.
- 5:39Speaker 1: There's only ten numbers.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Look what Bernie Madoff did with those ten numbers. The
- 5:47Speaker 4: point I make is it doesn't have to be complicated. See,
- 5:51Speaker 4: you need four things in your life. If you don't
- 5:55Speaker 4: have any of these four things in your life, you're
- 5:57Speaker 4: gonna have a tremendous void. But in need something to do.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Number two, everybody needs someone to love. Number three, everybody
- 6:07Speaker 4: needs someone to believe it. In my case is Jesus Christ,
- 6:10Speaker 4: our Lord and Savior. But the fourth thing you need
- 6:13Speaker 4: your life is you need something to hope for. What
- 6:17Speaker 4: do you want to do having hopes and dreams and ambition.
- 6:23Speaker 1: So that's Lie Haltz. You know, he was. He was
- 6:26Speaker 1: one of the greatest coaches, one of the greatest commentators too.
- 6:30Speaker 1: He was good. I enjoyed, I did enjoy, you know,
- 6:35Speaker 1: listening to him to college.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Football seven times, six fifty one winning percentage of thirty
- 6:42Speaker 2: three seasons. Obviously, like we talked about, predominant.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Look at that, Look at look at that. Look at
- 6:48Speaker 1: that Notre Dame.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Record Arkansas Notre Dame was one hundred and thirty and
- 6:52Speaker 3: two and like I said, won the last national championship
- 6:55Speaker 3: nineteen eighty eight, led the Fighting Irish to twelve on
- 6:59Speaker 3: the record. I was listened to one of the radio
- 7:01Speaker 3: shows earlier today and they were reminiscing about him and
- 7:03Speaker 3: one of his players.
- 7:04Speaker 2: God, I can't remember who it was, and forgive me,
- 7:06Speaker 2: but it was one of his players that was on
- 7:08Speaker 2: the eighty eight National champion Ship team against Miami, and
- 7:15Speaker 2: I guess that they had got a little heated before
- 7:21Speaker 2: the game.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Oh no, not those guys, but the eighties. But they
- 7:26Speaker 1: didn't he.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You know, the guys did not you know, notre dame
- 7:33Speaker 2: to them, held a better standard. They wasn't going to
- 7:36Speaker 2: get involved. Blah blah blah. So they go to the
- 7:37Speaker 2: locker room and that's a ton of teams.
- 7:39Speaker 1: That's always the kind of team that I would you know,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I would love to play for or love to be on.
- 7:45Speaker 2: And that was the Catholics and Convicts game obviously.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Right well who was coaching the convicts?
- 7:50Speaker 2: That's why I was getting to the story.
- 7:52Speaker 3: So when they went back to the locker room, whoever
- 7:56Speaker 3: player was reminiscent about it, and he was telling a
- 7:58Speaker 3: good story, very good speaker, and he was like, you know,
- 7:59Speaker 3: we got a certain time, it's on the board, we're
- 8:01Speaker 3: going out. You know, everything is detailed, We're leaving it,
- 8:05Speaker 3: you know, eleven thirty seven if the game's at noon
- 8:08Speaker 3: or whatever. He said, and he goes and coaching in there.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Yet we're waiting, and we're waiting. We're like, oh, you know,
- 8:12Speaker 3: he's going to be ticked or late whatever. He comes
- 8:15Speaker 3: in and he says something to the effect of, you know,
- 8:19Speaker 3: I saw what happened out there, you know, and essentially appreciate,
- 8:23Speaker 3: you know, you don't know what's in trouble all that
- 8:25Speaker 3: type of stuff.
- 8:26Speaker 2: But he I guess, he said. The next time, he
- 8:28Speaker 2: said a bit of it happens again. He goes, you
- 8:30Speaker 2: give me Jimmy Johnson's ass or something.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Or you let me you know, or he's fine or
- 8:36Speaker 3: he's mine or something. And I was like, oh, it's great,
- 8:38Speaker 3: and he'said, and that's what the player said. He goes,
- 8:39Speaker 3: why it was just it was crazy. We went out there,
- 8:42Speaker 3: and he said, you just felt like we were going
- 8:45Speaker 3: to win. And like I said, it was twenty one
- 8:48Speaker 3: to thirty one and the end of the third quarter.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And obviously.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You know the ending of that game. So no, thirty
- 8:58Speaker 1: Now didn't even his career at South Carolina or was
- 9:00Speaker 1: that the one? Just thinking of where did he finish
- 9:03Speaker 1: your career.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Who yes talk about yeah, yes, yes, And.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I remember that he brought that program.
- 9:10Speaker 2: At first a little bit. He finished under five hundred.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I know he did. I know he did. But he
- 9:14Speaker 1: did bring them up. They won games they weren't supposed to.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He did bring guys in the spur. Yer took over
- 9:20Speaker 1: after that, maybe right.
- 9:22Speaker 2: After Yeah, but rest in Peace eighty nine, Long Live coach.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Hold.
- 9:28Speaker 3: So a great career and like Sean said, a really
- 9:32Speaker 3: fun commentator, but it came speaker. I remember him and
- 9:37Speaker 3: Mark May seemed to be the one that they did
- 9:39Speaker 3: a lot of things together.
- 9:41Speaker 1: You know, I heard, I heard he passing it. I
- 9:43Speaker 1: was thinking, you know, what am I going to do
- 9:44Speaker 1: when Tony Dungee goes? Because I didn't like Tony Dungee
- 9:48Speaker 1: when he first started commentating, But after getting the commentators
- 9:55Speaker 1: that we've had, I enjoy him way more. He's become
- 9:58Speaker 1: that old grandpa sure that you just love listening to
- 10:02Speaker 1: the story.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I'm a real fan of Lou Holts either at first, No,
- 10:05Speaker 2: he kind of grows on you because you know, you
- 10:07Speaker 2: know where he's coming from, and he was always honest
- 10:09Speaker 2: about his opinions. He didn't really care could you.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Imagine Joe pod gotten in there with him. Yeah, there
- 10:14Speaker 1: had been two old men just bickering. All right, what
- 10:18Speaker 1: would you like to move on to. We need to
- 10:20Speaker 1: congratulate the men's Olympic team. We we didn't get to that,
- 10:23Speaker 1: the men's Olympic hockey team and the women's both winning gold,
- 10:27Speaker 1: and the Canadians both being very angry and upset by
- 10:32Speaker 1: the fact that they got second. Also, you're man McKinnon,
- 10:36Speaker 1: uh for the Avs being a just a human piece
- 10:40Speaker 1: of garbage. You know, he said that the better team
- 10:43Speaker 1: on the ice didn't win, but.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Oh they didn't. I mean, let's be honest. I think if.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Americans be the better team, I don't think so, are
- 10:51Speaker 1: they won.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I think that talent wise, No, no, no, just you're
- 10:54Speaker 3: not better team does not always win. Well, better team
- 10:58Speaker 3: Americans have gold.
- 10:59Speaker 2: And I think fit no, and I'm not saying that
- 11:02Speaker 2: they didn't.
- 11:03Speaker 1: They were the better team the whole way, even with
- 11:06Speaker 1: even with the little bitch Crosby.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I think they had the little bitch Crosby in it
- 11:10Speaker 2: didn't make cosmbrook. I think plays I hates pronounce his
- 11:13Speaker 2: name Helen Brook. Sorry, he had a phenomenal last three game.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I mean the whole thing, really, but I mean that
- 11:21Speaker 2: guy and he's not I wouldn't say is he the
- 11:25Speaker 2: best goalie.
- 11:26Speaker 1: And hockey he's one of he's one of the best.
- 11:29Speaker 1: He's one of the best.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Goals So I'm just saying, I know, I think he's
- 11:33Speaker 3: Whether McKinnon is right or wrong, he has his opinion.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Probably talent wise, No, Canada was better. But you're not
- 11:39Speaker 2: always gonna.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Win with just talent, So no, what about skill?
- 11:44Speaker 3: Well, I mean I think Sean, if you drafted, I
- 11:46Speaker 3: think anybody would take the more Canadians on that team
- 11:49Speaker 3: in the top five or six than they went the US.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, you got you got mccannon, we got McDavid,
- 11:54Speaker 3: you got McKinnon. I mean, those are some of the
- 11:56Speaker 3: two best players in the NHL right now, and.
- 11:58Speaker 1: He goes into Canada got not gold. I agree.
- 12:04Speaker 2: I didn't say the most I didn't say the most
- 12:06Speaker 2: talented teams.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I can't remember what the other one is. The loser,
- 12:10Speaker 1: the second place is the first loser.
- 12:12Speaker 2: But the women obviously were the best team all the
- 12:14Speaker 2: way through.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Yeah, the American one were, So there's that. Anything else
- 12:21Speaker 1: in the Olympics. America if you did finish second and
- 12:24Speaker 1: total overall medals, uh norway of course. Still, I mean
- 12:30Speaker 1: you live, you live in winter, you live in perpetual winner.
- 12:36Speaker 1: You know A surprised you have surprised me about about
- 12:39Speaker 1: these Winter Olympics. Was that not that Italy was second,
- 12:43Speaker 1: but the Great Britain was nowhere near the top.
- 12:46Speaker 2: I don't think they really focused on that. Apparently didn't
- 12:49Speaker 2: look like well they used to.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Britain used to be like right up there, because I remember,
- 12:53Speaker 1: like back in the nineties, eighties and nineties it was
- 12:57Speaker 1: like America, Great Britain always competing to see who's the
- 12:59Speaker 1: top Olympic team, But cogulations in Britain has fallen off.
- 13:06Speaker 2: The hockey was fun.
- 13:07Speaker 3: I mean we obviously watched I missed it the game,
- 13:09Speaker 3: I forgot about it, slipt in, Yes, watching.
- 13:12Speaker 1: The women in the highlights and yeah, and the and
- 13:15Speaker 1: the US men's team had Grideau's jersey out there.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yes, that was really cool.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Yeah, because him and his brother were killed by a
- 13:21Speaker 1: drunk driver. Unfortunately, I think he was a devil.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Wouldn't he pay for the jersey?
- 13:31Speaker 1: All right? All right, where are we going next? I've
- 13:34Speaker 1: got everything.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Over well, we can talk a little bit about basketball.
- 13:39Speaker 3: We'll get to the NFL last, since that's the pretty step.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Congratulations Tulsa one tonight be DCU.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Should be in the tournament. Probably not going to be
- 13:47Speaker 1: because bias.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I think I think they play Wichita State next.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Is that what they said?
- 13:54Speaker 2: The schedule?
- 13:55Speaker 1: That just here because it should pop back up.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Oklahoma women second round winners today, Florida in the second round,
- 14:05Speaker 3: third round.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Now we play l SHU next.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Okay, So I was gonna I've got that pulled up.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I've got the women's Uh. I didn't know where everybody was.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I knew that they had started the obviously one first
- 14:19Speaker 3: game and then they beat Florida handling, I think eighteen points,
- 14:22Speaker 3: and you know, Florida gave them a little run the
- 14:26Speaker 3: last time they played them in the regular season, so
- 14:29Speaker 3: it was good to see them.
- 14:32Speaker 2: It's good to see them beat them handily.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Uh.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Tonight, like I said, they will be playing oh miss
- 14:42Speaker 2: Malkie and cool tag tags.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Yeah, cooled up fits, you know. Yeah. And it's it's
- 14:52Speaker 1: crazy that the women start so much earlier than the men.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The men's season is is wrapping itself up currently. They'll
- 14:59Speaker 1: start what in next week when they when the men
- 15:02Speaker 1: start their tournaments. I do know some of the smaller
- 15:07Speaker 1: uh what's the word I'm looking for conferences have already
- 15:13Speaker 1: started theirs. So all right, so we're looking at we've
- 15:20Speaker 1: gotten it, yes, real quick time.
- 15:22Speaker 3: How do I get back to all those things I
- 15:24Speaker 3: had up on the top here? Sorry, old man question,
- 15:28Speaker 3: Sorry guys.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Kenny, M eleven tabs? Is that what it is? Yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 1: it's eleven tabs.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Restore the window to the window.
- 15:43Speaker 1: There we go. Sorry, appreciate that, gentleman, Kenny. Somehow, now
- 15:49Speaker 1: when I go back and look at this computer, he
- 15:50Speaker 1: either has thirty open new windows that have nothing on them,
- 15:55Speaker 1: or he somehow shuts down the entire thing. So, yes, O,
- 16:00Speaker 1: you will end up playing LSU South Kakilaki is going
- 16:03Speaker 1: against Kentucky. Kentucky has taken out.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I'm sorry I said that was their second game. I
- 16:09Speaker 2: mean it was their second round.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they started the second round then a first round
- 16:12Speaker 1: by Arkansas Kentucky of course being Arkansas number nine. Kentucky
- 16:18Speaker 1: women are playing the number one South Carolina women, Number five,
- 16:22Speaker 1: Oh you women are playing the number four LSU women.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Number seven Old Miss women will be playing the number
- 16:28Speaker 1: two Vanderbilt women. Currently, it looks like we are waiting
- 16:31Speaker 1: Alabama te number eleven the Alabama team and number six
- 16:36Speaker 1: Tennessee to see who plays number three Texas. I want
- 16:41Speaker 1: to say that Vandy's is one of the biggest surprise
- 16:45Speaker 1: in women's basketball right now.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Okay, currently Alabama is upsetting number six seed Tennessee.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Oh look at that. We got a sixty one.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Is gonna say it's gonna not quite be all chalk
- 16:58Speaker 3: because Georgia we have just into the third for that
- 17:00Speaker 3: as well.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Nobody, it ain't coming, no, no, I got, I got this.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Watched Alabama's gonna play Texas. We could beat l s U.
- 17:12Speaker 2: We've beat South Carolina before, but it's gonna be tough.
- 17:15Speaker 1: We just need to LSU was is a weird team
- 17:17Speaker 1: this season. I've watched them.
- 17:20Speaker 2: We beat South Carolina, but it took over time and I.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Know, I know, but South Carolina also beat LSU. Oh yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: but I've watched Carolina. I've watched some of the l
- 17:30Speaker 1: s U uh, the l s U women's games, and
- 17:34Speaker 1: they have not had the easiest time of of like
- 17:37Speaker 1: any of it. Like where she used to dominate being
- 17:39Speaker 1: number one, number two, uh, current overall in the women's
- 17:46Speaker 1: standings is undefeated Yukon, isn't it now? Is that a
- 17:50Speaker 1: record because they said they did it for like the
- 17:52Speaker 1: nineteenth time or something. I mean, how crazy is that?
- 17:57Speaker 2: The South Carolina?
- 17:59Speaker 1: No, No, I got that, But I'm saying, how crazy
- 18:01Speaker 1: is it that this is.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Your preview that you've got for college football in about
- 18:05Speaker 2: three years with the way Neil's going. And we'll talk
- 18:07Speaker 2: about that in a minute. It's the same five teams
- 18:11Speaker 2: every year.
- 18:12Speaker 1: But I mean, just think about it. How crazy is
- 18:15Speaker 1: it that somebody has gone undefeated in the modern day
- 18:20Speaker 1: that many times? Any basketball especially you know they've kind
- 18:24Speaker 1: of had that little all for a minute.
- 18:26Speaker 2: They they do Connecticut standards anyway.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Well, yes, we can't. We can't all be Nick Saban.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I don't know if you ever saw any of the
- 18:38Speaker 1: Steve Spurry Awards where Crystal Ball and what's his nuts
- 18:43Speaker 1: from Georgia went at it.
- 18:44Speaker 2: That's pretty good.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Colony, good banter, colony, fat stealing players. Anything else. We're
- 18:51Speaker 1: going to go through any other women's.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Last national nice championship twenty sixteen, we.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Go through any other women's basketball brackets? No, no, So
- 19:02Speaker 1: we're done with it just just our local. Oh I
- 19:05Speaker 1: didn't as a issue. Have they started? Yeah, yeah, that's
- 19:09Speaker 1: what I was looking, that's what I was asking.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I forgot about them. No offense.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Well Tulsa women as well. I don't know. Oh are
- 19:19Speaker 1: you women? I think they're on a down or did
- 19:23Speaker 1: they win? Did they win? Their name Southern? No? No, no, no, no, no,
- 19:27Speaker 1: whatever that tournament's called. Where are they at? The South
- 19:30Speaker 1: Sun the Jesus.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Currently tomorrow they play twelve seed Kansas State.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Right, yeah, I just pulled that up. So Kansas State
- 19:42Speaker 1: be Texas Tech, which very surprising in that there's money
- 19:47Speaker 1: in that Texas Tech.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a little bit of upset.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I TCU's playing b yuc.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Or West Virginia definitely teems to be there.
- 19:55Speaker 1: West Virginia, which is is crazy because you don't think
- 19:58Speaker 1: of West Virginia as being that high. And in basketball,
- 20:02Speaker 1: Arizona State uh and Baylor is currently waiting on the
- 20:05Speaker 1: Kansas Colorado game for the Big twelve women's I guess
- 20:11Speaker 1: Kenny's gonna go ahead and slap that up there.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Get you a little score seventeen nineteen fourteen, Oh second
- 20:19Speaker 2: second quarter, wow, low scoring.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Wow, We've got a crazy starter there nineteen fourteen? All right?
- 20:28Speaker 1: Is that all for women's tournament? The women? When does
- 20:30Speaker 1: the women's tournament start? For what? Oh? I don't know,
- 20:34Speaker 1: let me just go ahead.
- 20:37Speaker 2: What's Connecticut or South Carolina?
- 20:38Speaker 1: Win? No? No, I don't know. Start, start, don't put
- 20:45Speaker 1: any there, You're stupid. I know.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Regardless of Tulsa's finish in this tournament, if then they're
- 20:53Speaker 2: not gonna make the tournament, like you said, if they
- 20:55Speaker 2: don't win, the tournament looks like March twenty.
- 20:58Speaker 1: It's when it starts, all right, Yes, the women's the
- 21:01Speaker 1: women's will start. Are we gonna do a bord picks
- 21:03Speaker 1: for that too? For well might actually win that? Yeah?
- 21:09Speaker 1: All right, so the women's basketball.
- 21:11Speaker 2: It's even more boring when the pick I got Connecticut?
- 21:14Speaker 1: Cool? Shut up? You never know, not unless you get
- 21:18Speaker 1: Iona State, and then you know you're screwed. Thanks Kenny.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It was March twentieth twenty. First is when the women's
- 21:26Speaker 1: na A Final or March Madness starts twentieth?
- 21:31Speaker 5: Yes, the announcement should be next week yep, from correct,
- 21:38Speaker 5: it will Yeah, selection Sunday is March fifteenth for the women.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I just think the women have it easier women. The
- 21:47Speaker 1: women have that easier because they are done first and
- 21:50Speaker 1: they do not have to go through the crunch that
- 21:53Speaker 1: the men have to.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Well, no, I was thinking it's the it's the fifteenth
- 21:58Speaker 2: for them too.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Oh is it really? Is it? Everybody? Yeah? I thought
- 22:02Speaker 1: they started them a week early. Well, and you look
- 22:07Speaker 1: at it. So their final four is April third and fifth.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Yeah, in the play end game obviously for the first
- 22:14Speaker 2: four of the men's seventeenth and eighteenth, I'll started meeting
- 22:17Speaker 2: Tuesday and Wednesday.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I don't think so, mm hmm, so much better.
- 22:24Speaker 2: It's ok, where's the final four?
- 22:25Speaker 1: At the final four? Looks like it is in Phoenix.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I don't know where poix go down there.
- 22:32Speaker 2: And look at that schedule though, it's oh that shows that.
- 22:35Speaker 1: This show venues.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, nothing, No, No, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, San Antonio,
- 22:42Speaker 2: there's Dallas, Dallas.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Oh that's just for where they're going. I see, now, yeah,
- 22:51Speaker 1: that's the final four. So now they did they do
- 22:53Speaker 1: theirs the same way as the men for setting up
- 22:56Speaker 1: regionals and all that.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Ye'll move around. Now they do local they go home first.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I thought, all right, ord.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Likely, Oh you should be hosting home game.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Oh you women, that is correct, because we are not
- 23:11Speaker 1: talking about the OU men's basketball.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Because somehow come up on a bubble team which is nuts.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Well you get enough of those those quad one wins,
- 23:21Speaker 1: which they have recently been doing. Well. She was beating
- 23:26Speaker 1: Missouri when I thought that would knock Missouri out, and
- 23:28Speaker 1: everybody's like, oh no, Missouri is still good.
- 23:30Speaker 3: They go to Texas this week after. If they don't win,
- 23:33Speaker 3: we could stop talking about it. We could be looking
- 23:35Speaker 3: for a coaching replacement.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I thank my god. We've been talking about this for
- 23:39Speaker 1: two years. You know how long do you give?
- 23:42Speaker 2: They made the tournament last year, so he was free.
- 23:44Speaker 1: No, I was still talking about it, and this year
- 23:46Speaker 1: this year, I was still talking about it because I
- 23:48Speaker 1: watched that collapse.
- 23:49Speaker 2: We thought it was going to be the most talented team.
- 23:52Speaker 2: And they didn't lose bad the tournament.
- 23:54Speaker 1: They lost enough, but the obviously enough for me to
- 23:57Speaker 1: want to move. This was the team that was the
- 24:00Speaker 1: supposed to do it. I'm not gonna lie. I have
- 24:02Speaker 1: been saying, new.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Coach, they beat Texas. Period.
- 24:05Speaker 1: There it is.
- 24:10Speaker 6: I don't know what that sound is in the room.
- 24:13Speaker 6: We have a light dinner music going on. I can
- 24:17Speaker 6: tell him he was crying or being along singing. Oh okay,
- 24:24Speaker 6: well let's jump into D one baseball. Uh, I know
- 24:30Speaker 6: that you you have just realized that that all this
- 24:33Speaker 6: comes out on Monday, all the rankings, the rankings for
- 24:37Speaker 6: softball and baseball. Uh.
- 24:40Speaker 1: At one point, let me go ahead and count this. Now,
- 24:42Speaker 1: I do know that the SEC did have twelve teams in. Now, oh,
- 24:46Speaker 1: you has dropped to two games, and yet we still
- 24:49Speaker 1: went up. Let's see one two. I believe we might
- 24:54Speaker 1: have eleven in because old that's right, Ole Miss got
- 24:57Speaker 1: knocked out. Yeah, Ole Miss was dropped out. So the
- 25:02Speaker 1: SEC does have twelve. Oh, you did beat Dallas Baptist recently.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Oh what they beat? Della? We never beat I know
- 25:09Speaker 1: we beat Dallas Baptist. Uh. Tulsa does not have a team.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Oklahoma State. Don't know what's going on with those guys
- 25:17Speaker 1: this season. Drama, perpetual, perpetual drama, baseball dynasty, and they
- 25:26Speaker 1: are just nowhere in the top twenty five.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I'm here in Holidays, got some contract issues. It's just drama, drama, drama.
- 25:32Speaker 1: It's not his dad, is that what you're saying. No,
- 25:34Speaker 1: it's and Josh.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I think it's Josh and then his brother Matt selling
- 25:39Speaker 2: his house.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Around still Water. His brother Josh, Josh coach. No, that's
- 25:45Speaker 1: just selling.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Maybe maybe yeah. Softball Tennessee rank number one still this week,
- 25:51Speaker 2: Texas tech number two. They still have the candy girl Texas.
- 25:56Speaker 1: What excuse me? Well, my thing on baseball was, how
- 25:59Speaker 1: is your clas number one? But two losses?
- 26:01Speaker 3: You know, which depends on what the I didn't look
- 26:03Speaker 3: at their schedule depends on that I didn't look at it.
- 26:05Speaker 1: They kept that, they kept that, they kept that. Week
- 26:08Speaker 1: to week they had two losses and they stayed a
- 26:10Speaker 1: number one. I did not understand that. When does baseball
- 26:14Speaker 1: start getting into their their there's stuff.
- 26:16Speaker 2: April Oklahoma sets at number four and that is softball obviously,
- 26:22Speaker 2: Nebraska five our local flavor, Arkansas number nine. Oklahoma state
- 26:26Speaker 2: tied for twelve. Fifteen and five is their current record
- 26:30Speaker 2: and sneaking in his Grand Canyon.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Okay, explain to me how Nebraska is fourteen and five.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I did see that they had a loss.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Us LA three losses, still at seven, and then they
- 26:43Speaker 1: moved down one. Florida State four losses, still at ten.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I don't understand I think I think they don't care.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It'll all play out.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Now you and you want to you want to talk
- 26:55Speaker 1: about it. Tennessee a dark horse at nineteen. You to know,
- 27:01Speaker 1: just out of nowhere in Alabama twenty and zero two
- 27:05Speaker 1: undefeated teams.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Well it shows you though.
- 27:07Speaker 1: It's not Texas, it's not Oklahoma, it's not Texas Tech.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Well, Alabama's Notory secret programs.
- 27:13Speaker 1: They are, but they're not an undefeated team this season.
- 27:17Speaker 2: They're ranked only six.
- 27:19Speaker 1: They haven't played. But no, no, that's that's what I'm
- 27:21Speaker 1: saying that for them to be undefeated this deep in
- 27:24Speaker 1: the season, when do we get into conference play? Is
- 27:27Speaker 1: that that's coming up soon? Correct? It should be end
- 27:32Speaker 1: of this month.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Are so hard to find, it's gotta just go somewhere
- 27:41Speaker 2: that I can't well.
- 27:42Speaker 1: The problem. The problem is it is so hard to
- 27:44Speaker 1: find scheduling for baseball and side are they.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Beat Villanova, East Central or East Carolina, Georgia Tech, Villanova,
- 27:52Speaker 2: Georgia Tech, Purdue Liberty, Liberty, Purdue Georgia Southern, Elon Florida State.
- 27:57Speaker 3: They did be a ranked Florida State twice. There's two
- 28:01Speaker 3: good wins. Elon Dartmouth U.
- 28:04Speaker 2: A B Saint Thomas, U U s F, Kid's State,
- 28:08Speaker 2: U s F Saint Thomas, and Oakland. I just don't
- 28:11Speaker 2: see the college softball, you know, crazy there really wasn't.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I was trying to find out whenever we get into
- 28:19Speaker 1: conference play.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Well, they start next week, but I don't know if
- 28:23Speaker 2: that's considered all.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yes, I mean there's a lot of mixture in there,
- 28:27Speaker 1: so I know there's still mixture, but it is it
- 28:29Speaker 1: is mainly confident mess next they'll start that I'm trying
- 28:33Speaker 1: to figure out because I know that their season ends
- 28:35Speaker 1: right after March Madness. Now Tulsa currently is not a
- 28:40Speaker 1: very good schedule. On a run, on a run, I
- 28:44Speaker 1: don't know what happened to those ladies. I'm trying to
- 28:51Speaker 1: see if record But anyway, m m m hm, sho fly,
- 29:03Speaker 1: don't bother me, don't. I don't know. I don't know
- 29:08Speaker 1: where are you going over there? If I.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Let's go football, I mean, that's that's the best, the
- 29:13Speaker 2: last when you to get this show on the road.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Anyway, Oh, I didn't pull up combine stuff. That's what
- 29:16Speaker 1: I didn't pull up.
- 29:17Speaker 2: That sounds boring. Let's see who was faster than the
- 29:21Speaker 2: other guy.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Well, that's and and that's that is that is a
- 29:25Speaker 1: question that I have asked you. Do you want a
- 29:27Speaker 1: guy with hig at their speed is Allegedly we were
- 29:32Speaker 1: in the combine the combbine. Allegedly this is the fastest
- 29:39Speaker 1: excuse you, this is the fastest combine ever. I know
- 29:46Speaker 1: that we still watch tight ends. Again, I don't know
- 29:49Speaker 1: how we catch that every year. We we said there,
- 29:53Speaker 1: we we talked to each other and we're like, okay,
- 29:55Speaker 1: what's this guy doing with you know, wide receivers quarterbacks?
- 29:58Speaker 1: But somehow when we watched the television, all we catch
- 30:02Speaker 1: our wide are tight ends. Big news for the big
- 30:09Speaker 1: news for the combine is instead of hand size, it's
- 30:15Speaker 1: arm length.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Five. I was looking for Roger State, another local fifteen
- 30:21Speaker 2: five their division too. Oh no, but it's local, so fifteen.
- 30:28Speaker 2: What was that?
- 30:29Speaker 1: M arm length? Arm length is the is the huge
- 30:35Speaker 1: subject of the combine this year. I do believe that
- 30:40Speaker 1: it is overreaction unless you're a six foot six wide receiver.
- 30:49Speaker 1: What do you what do you think is arm length
- 30:51Speaker 1: really that that big of an issue for your D
- 30:55Speaker 1: line guy.
- 30:57Speaker 3: I'd be more worried about arm length on a offensive
- 31:00Speaker 3: line tackle in a D line or a wide receiver.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Depends on his height there.
- 31:06Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. You know, I don't understand
- 31:09Speaker 1: why Bain is getting Reuben Bain is getting so much.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Be somebody else. There's another guy that they had there
- 31:17Speaker 1: that his arms weren't what they you know, want them
- 31:21Speaker 1: to be. Are we gonna just what what's going on?
- 31:26Speaker 1: What is going on at the combine? First it's Kenny
- 31:29Speaker 1: Picktt's hand size.
- 31:31Speaker 2: And now it's okay, so I called that he was
- 31:33Speaker 2: gonna suck and he did, So let's stop.
- 31:35Speaker 1: You don't even know where that guy is anymore?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he's playing? Is he at Philadelphia? Still?
- 31:40Speaker 1: Fact? Okay?
- 31:41Speaker 2: Who caress.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Vegas? In Vegas?
- 31:46Speaker 2: That's why Pittsburgh continues to suck as well. They're drafting
- 31:49Speaker 2: is not the greatest. No, I just think there was
- 31:53Speaker 2: a lot of things. I mean, it was the arm size,
- 31:55Speaker 2: Carnel Tait speed was weird. It was like a four
- 31:58Speaker 2: or five, And I'm like, is a half a second matter?
- 32:00Speaker 2: I don't know what if your second.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Lemon's interview is leading him to drop, I would what
- 32:11Speaker 1: is his interviews?
- 32:12Speaker 2: Just how he acted?
- 32:13Speaker 1: Was he just diva well?
- 32:15Speaker 3: And honestly, I don't think that he's he's a number
- 32:18Speaker 3: one ride receiver in my opinion.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Well, we know he's not a ride receiver receiver, but.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I don't think he's a one. He's gonna go top fifteen.
- 32:26Speaker 7: I know that we've already but we've already talked about this,
- 32:31Speaker 7: but we've already talked about this as a heavily defensive draft.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Anyways, you're gonna you're gonna see next season as the
- 32:40Speaker 1: skill position, as the heavier offensive No, well that you know.
- 32:49Speaker 1: And it's Miami and dresser Ruben Bain drafts is stock
- 32:51Speaker 1: is dropping because of his arm lenk uh arm link
- 32:57Speaker 1: well says the shorter side, but it is. It is
- 32:59Speaker 1: also shocking to see thirty and seven eighths inch arm
- 33:04Speaker 1: written next to his name.
- 33:06Speaker 2: Well, that's what they say.
- 33:07Speaker 1: But and let's go.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Pick six or ten. Yes, let him drop, please, we
- 33:15Speaker 2: will take him.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a lot of teams that are like, hey,
- 33:17Speaker 1: just let the guy, just let him go, just let him.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Just you all, you all keep worrying about that metric
- 33:24Speaker 1: and not how he plays, not his heart, not his
- 33:29Speaker 1: work ethic. Just you just keep going back.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I thought in the National Championship he was the best
- 33:34Speaker 2: player on the field period.
- 33:35Speaker 1: He was great. He was great. But apparently it really
- 33:39Speaker 1: matters if you go to the NFL. I think that
- 33:44Speaker 1: his shorter his shorter arm link is better for him
- 33:47Speaker 1: doing the swim move. Oh, I don't think. I don't
- 33:51Speaker 1: think about it. He's not gonna have to tangle up.
- 33:53Speaker 1: He's just gonna get under the guy hit him right.
- 33:55Speaker 1: And I don't think. I don't.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I don't think it's something that is a good thing,
- 34:02Speaker 2: like you just said, But I just don't think.
- 34:05Speaker 1: It's that big of a deal. Well, I seem I
- 34:08Speaker 1: seen being you know, easier. It's easier for him to
- 34:13Speaker 1: to get through people, you know what I mean. He's
- 34:18Speaker 1: got the shorter only So you got this guy with
- 34:20Speaker 1: his long arm who's pushing out here, he's got him
- 34:22Speaker 1: right in the elbow.
- 34:24Speaker 3: He's probably gonna have that ar he just I just
- 34:29Speaker 3: don't I don't think it's a great thing. But I
- 34:30Speaker 3: don't think that's gonna make him any any less.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Apparently apparently it is. It's it's it's the most talked
- 34:36Speaker 1: about thing aside from the tight ends that that that
- 34:41Speaker 1: we watched.
- 34:43Speaker 2: So Mendoza doesn't throw obviously he's not gonna throw. He's
- 34:46Speaker 2: gonna do his own products. Think he's gonna throw at all.
- 34:50Speaker 1: For his own product?
- 34:51Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 34:52Speaker 1: He will. He will for his product. Yeah, you you
- 34:56Speaker 1: literally are going to for your product. So it looks
- 35:00Speaker 1: like forty yard dash. Fastest out of everyone was Brendan
- 35:03Speaker 1: Thompson from Mississippi State. Oh, I do know that, Oh you,
- 35:11Speaker 1: oh you edge? What's his name? Say his name?
- 35:16Speaker 2: Oh he's gonna he's gonna throw to his teammates and
- 35:19Speaker 2: not for himself right now?
- 35:20Speaker 1: His name? Oh you Edge? That went to the combine
- 35:23Speaker 1: Thomas R. Mason Thomas. I know that they talked, and
- 35:27Speaker 1: I know that. I know that, But then I know
- 35:29Speaker 1: that they they talked about his size. I mean, if
- 35:32Speaker 1: you look at Dean Burks. Dean Berks went there and
- 35:34Speaker 1: he is number four fastest of all positions.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Number one was our former wide receiver as well.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Oh that's right, Brendon was.
- 35:43Speaker 2: It followed Levy had a hell of a year. He's
- 35:46Speaker 2: too small for the NFL. I think he could make
- 35:48Speaker 2: a team.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I just don't you always you always forget that slot position.
- 35:54Speaker 1: A lot of people forget that slot position. That slot
- 35:57Speaker 1: position is made for those smaller wide receivers, they slipped
- 36:01Speaker 1: through defenses way easier than a tall, fast guy shooting
- 36:07Speaker 1: up the field. A lot of people do forget about
- 36:11Speaker 1: that position. And that's what made Wes Welker. Remember Wes
- 36:15Speaker 1: Welker was on the shorter side, yes, but he played
- 36:18Speaker 1: that slot and he played it perfectly. He always found
- 36:21Speaker 1: that weird open part of the field in the zone.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Well, a lot of that's you know, a lot of
- 36:26Speaker 2: that's who your coach is, the type of offense run,
- 36:31Speaker 2: you know, the philosophy, that type of stuff.
- 36:33Speaker 1: What philosophy does Kenny run?
- 36:36Speaker 2: Wouldn't draft a lot of those people there.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Robert Spears, Jennings, he was still in the top. Yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 1: he's still in the Oklahoma's got a lot of fast guys.
- 36:47Speaker 1: So I do know that we are we are going
- 36:51Speaker 1: to have to try to replace a lot of these kids. Oh,
- 36:55Speaker 1: I'm just so needing to see how the spring games go.
- 36:58Speaker 2: For anything, we'll always get excited about somebody that will
- 37:03Speaker 2: flame out, quit or get a better deal somewhere else.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Well, I mean they're stuck with us for at least
- 37:09Speaker 1: this season. You can't go anywhere now.
- 37:11Speaker 3: Oh you know, I mean picked up witting Cruel two
- 37:13Speaker 3: five stars. You know, we're number one ranked class. I
- 37:16Speaker 3: don't like using that though, because we do have a
- 37:18Speaker 3: little bit more numbers.
- 37:19Speaker 1: We do. But but what I'm saying is what I'm saying.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I hate to be like Lincoln Riley.
- 37:23Speaker 1: These guys are stuck with us for this year. Well,
- 37:25Speaker 1: he's on a coaching hount seat. I don't know if
- 37:27Speaker 1: you've seen those.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Yeah, he is.
- 37:29Speaker 1: He needs to perform, he needs to should the schedule.
- 37:32Speaker 2: I mean, he's got a prettyasy schedule. He's nine and three.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Well, yeah, he got rid of Notre Dame and you know,
- 37:37Speaker 1: nine and three.
- 37:38Speaker 2: He's nine in three, maybe ten and two. So it's
- 37:41Speaker 2: not gonna be I know.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I know that Indiana is a big talking point about
- 37:45Speaker 1: what they can bring back and what signettic can if
- 37:47Speaker 1: Signetti can repeat his success, Mike Norvell, you know, he's
- 37:54Speaker 1: a lot of money if they fire him.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Well, so we're still on college.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we're still in college. We're we're talking about the combines,
- 38:01Speaker 1: So we're talking about college, NFL. What else do you
- 38:06Speaker 1: have for college? I don't know that anything. Well, Warren's
- 38:09Speaker 1: sap Quick Colorado, Colorado's quarterback was killed in a carbackad deal,
- 38:16Speaker 1: sad deal. I think Dion's I think the dealon experiment.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I text you what I thought Brandon Marian's head coach
- 38:24Speaker 2: after this year?
- 38:26Speaker 1: Your employment?
- 38:27Speaker 3: Well he's already oct Uh, so what to talk about
- 38:31Speaker 3: as far as just being college wise. I mean, you're
- 38:34Speaker 3: obviously you're agreeing with the Raiders drafting Mendoza.
- 38:37Speaker 2: You think he's.
- 38:40Speaker 1: He is a very special individual. I don't know how
- 38:45Speaker 1: to describe it. He doesn't do anything, Uh outside of
- 38:52Speaker 1: life is very.
- 38:56Speaker 2: No off has driven very very very just football, I
- 39:00Speaker 2: get it. Uh, no offense dropping a little bit.
- 39:03Speaker 1: The big.
- 39:06Speaker 2: His was was his hands too or something?
- 39:10Speaker 1: So so Eli Stower's he has the hot he had
- 39:12Speaker 1: the top vertical tight end out of Andy. He had
- 39:18Speaker 1: he had two inches over Tailing Green, the quarterback out
- 39:23Speaker 1: of Arkansas, and D'Angelo Ponds the cornerback out of Indiana
- 39:31Speaker 1: and Jenyan Sadeq. Yeah, he's the tight end and sunny styles.
- 39:42Speaker 1: So that is that is Uh. He broke the record too,
- 39:46Speaker 1: I believe, yes. So that's what I'm saying.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Would you would you be there? Fano is dropping. I
- 39:52Speaker 2: was talking about the draft now and I I I
- 39:55Speaker 2: think Sadik is the best tight end in the league.
- 39:58Speaker 3: You're talking to two inches. I don't really think that
- 40:00Speaker 3: means a big difference. Kate Taylor Green, quarterback for Arkansas.
- 40:05Speaker 3: He had a really interesting combine.
- 40:08Speaker 1: He really did.
- 40:09Speaker 2: He's going to move up simply because of the combine.
- 40:12Speaker 2: You think fourth round a third, I don't. I'd say
- 40:16Speaker 2: fourth to fifth to be honest. He didn't have a
- 40:18Speaker 2: sup offense, just a damn home So you believe that
- 40:24Speaker 2: he he because I think we would both agree he's.
- 40:26Speaker 1: More of a fourth rounder. He might be a steal.
- 40:33Speaker 1: He might be somebody that nobody's really looking at. A
- 40:37Speaker 1: team just grabs him out of nowhere and the kid
- 40:40Speaker 1: just comes out and starts performing.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Very, very proper well.
- 40:45Speaker 3: And you know my deal is, Yeah, I think it
- 40:49Speaker 3: was the defense that really was problematic for Arkansas last year.
- 40:53Speaker 2: We talked about the better.
- 40:55Speaker 1: If you, if you, if you want to compare it
- 40:57Speaker 1: to somebody that did have success, Tom Brady, Where did
- 41:02Speaker 1: he come up? Well, I mean where was he drafted?
- 41:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but not everything. Everyone tends to compare that, but
- 41:09Speaker 2: very rarely you're gonna get Tom Brady late round like that.
- 41:12Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying that's that's what the tailing
- 41:14Speaker 1: green seems to seems to look like, is you can
- 41:18Speaker 1: grab a quarterback who will end up being your franchise
- 41:26Speaker 1: quarterback inadvertently in the fourth round fifth possibly, Yeah, I'm
- 41:32Speaker 1: gonna say, I'm gonna say a low third to fourth
- 41:39Speaker 1: because we know Ty Simpson's gonna end up dropping we
- 41:42Speaker 1: uh drew Allers in this. I don't even know I
- 41:47Speaker 1: can go pull up this specialty. QB. Are you talking about?
- 41:54Speaker 2: What are we looking at? As far as oh you're
- 41:56Speaker 2: going you're still.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Talking about the dash? No, No, I'm just talking about
- 41:59Speaker 1: all of it. I'm talking about this whole thing. So
- 42:02Speaker 1: you got Taylor Haynes Kings in this draft, Sawyer Robinson,
- 42:07Speaker 1: who we all forget about. Jalen Daniels isn't Yes, you
- 42:12Speaker 1: have Jalen Daniels is in this Luke Altmeyer.
- 42:18Speaker 2: This is the only guys that went to the hold
- 42:20Speaker 2: on As I say, you're you're looking at.
- 42:23Speaker 1: I'm just looking at I'm just looking at quarterback.
- 42:25Speaker 2: You're looking at a lot of pro people too, are
- 42:27Speaker 2: doing there.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Like really, that's really the only ones that went to.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Is that really the only quarterbacks that went probably so
- 42:34Speaker 2: I didn't. I don't think a lot of the better
- 42:36Speaker 2: ones went.
- 42:36Speaker 1: They didn't have to.
- 42:37Speaker 2: These are the guys that are having to go to
- 42:39Speaker 2: get drafted.
- 42:40Speaker 3: So I said, Taylor Green by going made him draftable,
- 42:47Speaker 3: definitely better than what he was before.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Is it crazy?
- 42:53Speaker 2: Uh?
- 42:53Speaker 1: Other college news that I did.
- 42:56Speaker 2: See anyway, the draft for what you're looking for, Mendoza,
- 43:01Speaker 2: you you would agree with.
- 43:01Speaker 3: They're kind of flip flopping. The person making the big
- 43:04Speaker 3: move right now. And who I said earlier was probably
- 43:06Speaker 3: the most talented player in the draft. He just plays
- 43:09Speaker 3: a bad position. Well, there's two, the Reese kid and
- 43:12Speaker 3: the Sunny Styles kid.
- 43:13Speaker 2: There's three. But Love and I've said this, and you
- 43:16Speaker 2: could tell I tell you that Love is the most
- 43:18Speaker 2: talented pick in the draft. Love, you heard me, and
- 43:22Speaker 2: I've said that before. He is the best and he's
- 43:24Speaker 2: moving up Tennessee now. Is correct tempted to take him?
- 43:28Speaker 2: I thought he would fall to the Saints.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Well, and you know a draft uh, and you I
- 43:33Speaker 1: think you proposed a a trashed and genty trade. I
- 43:39Speaker 1: did to get up higher, just grab Love and to
- 43:42Speaker 1: the Jets. No, I said, give the Jets because the
- 43:46Speaker 1: Jets are looking to move on from bees.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Hall, but they did sign him to it.
- 43:50Speaker 3: I don't know if it was a tender franchise tag
- 43:52Speaker 3: or if it's one where you could trade or move on.
- 43:55Speaker 1: But before transition to well, so far, some of the
- 43:59Speaker 1: only guy I've seen was so you.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Know, what my proposed trade was was the Jets have
- 44:05Speaker 3: two picks sis Terear three next year. All I said
- 44:08Speaker 3: was give if they're gonna move off Brest Hall, give
- 44:10Speaker 3: them genty and give them the first pick, and you
- 44:15Speaker 3: want their second pick, and you want their two picks
- 44:22Speaker 3: next year.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Here's something that popped up. And we may not we
- 44:27Speaker 1: may not get to these three tabs right here, but
- 44:30Speaker 1: here's something that did pop up. In C double A
- 44:33Speaker 1: is appealing the Trinidad Chamberliss, Remember because I told you
- 44:36Speaker 1: that he was trying to pull the Diego Pavia but
- 44:40Speaker 1: he got n C double A is appealing that to
- 44:43Speaker 1: try to stop him. And if that happens, what the
- 44:47Speaker 1: hell does he do because he won't be able to
- 44:50Speaker 1: play in C double A.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Well, they have to let him come to the NFL,
- 44:54Speaker 2: then that's the deal.
- 44:55Speaker 1: But if he doesn't go draft, is he gonna have
- 44:57Speaker 1: to go supplemental draft? I would think, I don't know,
- 45:05Speaker 1: I don't know what happens after that. I would think
- 45:07Speaker 1: that you would happen. I honestly do not know what
- 45:11Speaker 1: happens at this point because Diego Pavia did it and
- 45:15Speaker 1: was able to have his ship heard after the season,
- 45:20Speaker 1: which gave him that eligibility, which wasn't really eligibility. So
- 45:24Speaker 1: what happens if Trinidad chamblas that appeal goes through and
- 45:28Speaker 1: and he loses it. Do you think he just all
- 45:31Speaker 1: of a sudden tries to jump in for the draft,
- 45:35Speaker 1: which I still which I still say he probably should
- 45:37Speaker 1: be he had the better years.
- 45:39Speaker 2: But I mean the judge in that case was, I
- 45:40Speaker 2: know you an Ole Miss alumni, and then it showed
- 45:43Speaker 2: him signing football for the judges or an a judge
- 45:46Speaker 2: or something like that after the during recess.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I mean, my god, I don't think we're gonna get
- 45:54Speaker 1: to the free agency that you wanted to talk about.
- 45:57Speaker 1: You want to talk about cuts and trades because we
- 46:01Speaker 1: need to. We'm sorry, everybody, We are running.
- 46:04Speaker 2: We have trips, running trips to make That's how he
- 46:07Speaker 2: got there was a child that.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Needed to do homework, be bathed. I had to teach
- 46:11Speaker 1: him how to clog in his old man.
- 46:14Speaker 2: He needs dancing, no clogging his bathroom.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Well enough, so I did that one once before. All Right,
- 46:23Speaker 1: David Montgomery getting getting traded to the Houstons. I know
- 46:28Speaker 1: the Houstons are are very, very very sorely needing a
- 46:32Speaker 1: running back.
- 46:33Speaker 2: Do you think this is always a horrible trade for Houston.
- 46:35Speaker 2: I think they give up too much.
- 46:36Speaker 1: They give up.
- 46:37Speaker 2: I think it was a third round and a seventh
- 46:39Speaker 2: or something, or fourth and a seventh, fourth and a seventh.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Juice is just a whatever. He's just a fill in
- 46:47Speaker 2: guy on the offensive line, I know, but.
- 46:48Speaker 1: They needed that off.
- 46:49Speaker 2: David Montgomery's not a first guy. He's getting a little older.
- 46:52Speaker 1: He's and uh, even though he is a top five
- 46:55Speaker 1: in yards running back over how long this no recent
- 47:02Speaker 1: blue recent running backs he is.
- 47:04Speaker 2: No Gibbs has out rushed in the past three years.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Well yeah, no, Gibbs has, but he's still up there
- 47:09Speaker 1: with him.
- 47:09Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, not top five. And
- 47:14Speaker 2: if you're talking about combined over their whole career the
- 47:17Speaker 2: last five years, I don't even think that's right either,
- 47:20Speaker 2: especially Detroit. But I'm just saying I thought they give
- 47:22Speaker 2: up too much.
- 47:23Speaker 1: For him.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Fourth round is seventh round. I think David Montgomery, like
- 47:26Speaker 2: I said, it's on the the end of his career,
- 47:31Speaker 2: not the end, but he's on the backside. So yeah,
- 47:35Speaker 2: you're talking Henry Taylor Barkley. He's not nowhere near that near.
- 47:41Speaker 1: He's had a lot of arts and he's up there.
- 47:47Speaker 1: David got thousands.
- 47:50Speaker 3: Draft someone with that fourth round of that seventh round pick.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Keep the other pick and wood he Mark should keep him.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Having know what I'm saying, they could have drafted.
- 47:58Speaker 1: Their own.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Comparable to David Montgomery.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Joe Mixing to him sterious foot injury.
- 48:05Speaker 2: That is why they're doing that, because he's not it.
- 48:07Speaker 2: He's not coming back.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I don't think. Uh, Trip McDuffie, I'm sorry, We're gonna
- 48:12Speaker 1: go to DJ Moore next. I guess this is just
- 48:13Speaker 1: what's I don't understand. I wish he would stayed with
- 48:18Speaker 1: the Bears, but I get that he became a casualty
- 48:22Speaker 1: of the Luther Burden contracting.
- 48:26Speaker 2: It was like twenty four it was like they.
- 48:29Speaker 1: Was he was part of that as well. Like I said,
- 48:33Speaker 1: he just became a casual And this is why they're
- 48:35Speaker 1: looking at co Comett becoming a casually is along with that,
- 48:40Speaker 1: I will miss co Comett being there as a leader
- 48:43Speaker 1: for Colston Loveland. I'm sorry, but I would rather have
- 48:48Speaker 1: a veteran tight end with the rookie, even going into
- 48:51Speaker 1: the last season.
- 48:52Speaker 3: I think, I think you but what I think the
- 48:54Speaker 3: Bears got what returned a second or third round pick?
- 48:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought it was a little high. Again for
- 48:59Speaker 2: the Bills. They they're desperate for a running back, but
- 49:01Speaker 2: they got a fifth round but they sorry wide receivers.
- 49:05Speaker 1: They pick up his contract as well.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Yes, yes, very little got paid. Uh. Key On Coleman's
- 49:11Speaker 2: not very good obviously for the Uh.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Well, I know that the Bills are having a massive
- 49:16Speaker 1: trouble with wide receivers right now. It's not just Keon Coleman,
- 49:19Speaker 1: it's across the board with their wide receivers. There were
- 49:22Speaker 1: a lot of drops in that Let's final game. So
- 49:26Speaker 1: they shaved the money there.
- 49:27Speaker 3: And then the Bills turn around and they released Hall
- 49:29Speaker 3: of not Hall of Famer pro bow linebacker Tremaine Edwards.
- 49:33Speaker 3: Uh he was due fifteen million or seventeen and they
- 49:35Speaker 3: ditched him today.
- 49:37Speaker 1: No, No, that was that was coming. I saw that.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I saw that two weeks.
- 49:40Speaker 2: It's a money deal, and and I saw that two
- 49:42Speaker 2: weeks ago.
- 49:43Speaker 1: He's underperformed. It is just now now now he is not. Yes,
- 49:49Speaker 1: he's underperformed where they needed him to.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Be, where they needed him to be. He's been a
- 49:53Speaker 2: starter for eight seasons.
- 49:54Speaker 1: But yes, that's fun. But he and that's uh, I'm sorry,
- 50:00Speaker 1: but it just didn't work.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Out pretty Daniel Hunter resigns and obviously the big talk,
- 50:08Speaker 2: uh there is in as far as news and drama
- 50:13Speaker 2: and whatever is, where's you know they're freeing up money
- 50:17Speaker 2: to get Max Crosby, Like we all know that.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Yes, that's what the Bears do. Is it really what
- 50:22Speaker 1: we're doing? Are we gonna do the Khalil Mac again? Yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 1: they're free up money to get Are you doing the
- 50:26Speaker 1: Khalil Mac again? Problem is, did you know we could
- 50:29Speaker 1: just grab a guy out of the draft? Problem is
- 50:32Speaker 1: there's also Chubb who is come who was available that
- 50:35Speaker 1: we could just grab the DJ more.
- 50:38Speaker 2: Was I thought part of this, you know they raiders
- 50:42Speaker 2: need a wide receiver, then the money would work. I'm
- 50:45Speaker 2: not really sure what they're gonna do today or now
- 50:47Speaker 2: after the DJ Moar deal leaves. That one kind of
- 50:50Speaker 2: surprised me a little bit.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I don't think I'm looking at this Trent McDuffie trade
- 50:53Speaker 1: right now, which Kansas City could not afford to let
- 50:56Speaker 1: go of. How did the Rams gonna be for trading
- 51:00Speaker 1: for mcguffie.
- 51:00Speaker 2: They give up quite a few picks.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Well, they gave up al Yeah, but I mean you
- 51:07Speaker 1: don't need much.
- 51:07Speaker 2: For that staff Matt Stafford goes down next year. That
- 51:11Speaker 2: third round pick is pretty good.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Okay, they got Stetson Bennett.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I know he's your kiddie Pickett as well, isn't he.
- 51:22Speaker 1: No, I didn't like the guy, but that was I
- 51:26Speaker 1: thought he was your boy.
- 51:27Speaker 2: No, no, no, no. The Rams fixed the need.
- 51:30Speaker 3: They needed some secondary, some secondary hill, so obviously that
- 51:34Speaker 3: was going to be. But now you've got you've got
- 51:37Speaker 3: some different people that are still open talking about uh
- 51:40Speaker 3: free agents.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I love Kyler Kyler Murray got cut this week. There
- 51:46Speaker 1: is getting cut. I don't remember how it is. I
- 51:48Speaker 1: don't are we at the will Will Kevin Smith? I'm sorry, no, Uh,
- 51:54Speaker 1: Kirk Cousins, Kevin Smith of football, he's getting He's either
- 52:01Speaker 1: cut or getting cut. God, there's so many guys that
- 52:05Speaker 1: are just so many veterans.
- 52:07Speaker 3: That are just being Trey Hendrickson is still available. He's
- 52:09Speaker 3: the number one Tampa. Please would you go get him?
- 52:15Speaker 1: I just do it. Please. Mike Evans, is he resigned.
- 52:20Speaker 2: I honestly don't care.
- 52:22Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 52:24Speaker 2: I mean, if he's looking at venturing out now, No,
- 52:28Speaker 2: I mean he'll resign with Tampa, I think, But I
- 52:30Speaker 2: don't know why he's He needs to sign a one
- 52:32Speaker 2: year deal and be done and retirement.
- 52:34Speaker 1: If he leaves. If he leaves Tampa, I'm gonna buy you, Mike.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Evans Jersey, Well, no, that's fine. I mean he needs
- 52:40Speaker 3: to go to Bills. Bills is the one he needs
- 52:41Speaker 3: to go to. That'd be the ideal.
- 52:43Speaker 1: But it's cold and he's old. Stefan Diggs is Oh,
- 52:47Speaker 1: Stefon Diggs is cut may and you know, maybe they're
- 52:49Speaker 1: still looking at what.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Tampa doesn't have a lot of money and they don't
- 52:52Speaker 3: they but they have did some movement already.
- 52:55Speaker 1: But they need you, ladies and gentleman. You heard it
- 52:57Speaker 1: here first. Tampa doesn't have a lot of money. They
- 52:59Speaker 1: have did some moves.
- 53:00Speaker 2: They did money moving, money moving.
- 53:03Speaker 1: They have did some money something did that I meant.
- 53:06Speaker 2: To say they did have they did have done you.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Can't even get it right, all right, No, Kyler Murray
- 53:13Speaker 3: Vikings makes most sense to me.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Jets should be looking at somebody.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Well s lots are definitely looking at Kyler Murray, I know.
- 53:21Speaker 1: And so they asked me at work, My boss and
- 53:23Speaker 1: Leeman asked me, like, w what do you think is
- 53:24Speaker 1: gonna land? I was like, well, right now, my heavy
- 53:27Speaker 1: favorite is him either you know, landing at at Las
- 53:30Speaker 1: Vegas or him landing at the Jets.
- 53:33Speaker 2: I don't think he's going to Las Vegas because Mendoza
- 53:35Speaker 2: gets drafted. He's day one starter.
- 53:37Speaker 1: I mean, it'd be nice to have himone the staff.
- 53:40Speaker 2: You don't waste that much. You don't waste.
- 53:41Speaker 1: And also I also saw that going back going to
- 53:44Speaker 1: talk to now, you know, I hate shortened sentences. I
- 53:48Speaker 1: hate shortened names. I hate that that SGOL shy jiggless,
- 53:55Speaker 1: I hate that SGA. I just call him shy jiggles. Uh.
- 53:59Speaker 1: You know what Kevin O'Connell's is the ko ko C.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Kyler Murray going up there to Kevin O'Connell, who has
- 54:11Speaker 1: had the ability to prevent quarterbacks, can't just it wasn't
- 54:16Speaker 1: just Donald. Uh, He's had a few other quarterbacks underneathing.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Carson Wentz was the only failure that I can see.
- 54:23Speaker 2: In his Okay, So I don't think that Minnesota's GM
- 54:28Speaker 2: is in the most comfortable position to take a year off.
