- 0:00Speaker 1: Tampa Bay's Best Music is.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Nine and welcome to another episode of Scotty and Abbey Unfiltered.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I've been curious all morning.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I have tried not to ask, and so I am
- 0:11Speaker 2: going to go ahead and kick off the podcast by
- 0:13Speaker 2: getting to the thing that we're all thinking about based
- 0:15Speaker 2: off of yesterday's podcast, what happened with the message to
- 0:20Speaker 2: the guy on.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Hims Oh to be, to be, to be, and to
- 0:23Speaker 1: Jay to be and.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Today because look, I mean, it's a hard enough decision
- 0:27Speaker 2: to say, I'm gonna get back on the apps. I'm
- 0:29Speaker 2: gonna go ahead and see what else is out there.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna go ahead and put myself And then there's
- 0:34Speaker 2: some interesting men that we got to see on there,
- 0:35Speaker 2: and I was like, wow, there's some good old fish.
- 0:38Speaker 2: In order to catch a fish, you gotta throw in.
- 0:41Speaker 4: The thing is it's kind of like mining for gold.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Like sometimes you think you've found something, but it's just
- 0:46Speaker 4: kind of like, oh, that's a shiny rock. And then
- 0:48Speaker 4: other times you're like, Okay, I think I may have
- 0:50Speaker 4: found a diamond on the rof. Like it's literally like
- 0:52Speaker 4: going thrip shopping for men.
- 0:53Speaker 2: You want to know, what's the wildest thought It's just
- 0:56Speaker 2: this kind of just hit me in the moment, the
- 0:58Speaker 2: concept of finding your match. The odds are crazy to
- 1:02Speaker 2: find somebody that really fits that.
- 1:03Speaker 1: It really is low, Like the odds are low, but
- 1:05Speaker 1: never zero.
- 1:06Speaker 2: No, I mean, well, how do so many other people
- 1:09Speaker 2: find it? So many people find their match?
- 1:11Speaker 4: Now, I honestly think when you find your person, it's
- 1:14Speaker 4: the only thing that actually makes me fully believe in
- 1:16Speaker 4: a God. Like you know, my faith is wavered in
- 1:19Speaker 4: and out over the years. But when I see two
- 1:20Speaker 4: people together and I'm like, oh my god, they're perfect
- 1:22Speaker 4: for each other, I'm like, maybe there is maybe there
- 1:25Speaker 4: is a higher power.
- 1:25Speaker 3: The higher being. It is crazy.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Like that concept just kind of hit me in that
- 1:29Speaker 2: moment as we kick this thing off, I was like, Wow,
- 1:31Speaker 2: all the things that you have to do and have
- 1:33Speaker 2: to find in a person to be like that is
- 1:35Speaker 2: the person that I want to spend the rest of
- 1:37Speaker 2: my life with.
- 1:37Speaker 1: All the things have to line up correctly, The.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Stars have to align well.
- 1:40Speaker 4: When I was on the Birch Show, I talked about
- 1:42Speaker 4: wanting to cancel my dating apps because I would say
- 1:44Speaker 4: it's kind of like gambling, like you're going to a casino,
- 1:49Speaker 4: but for people, and you're constantly like spinning your odds
- 1:52Speaker 4: and sure you might hit a jackpot every now and then,
- 1:56Speaker 4: and you see other people hit the jackpots here, like
- 1:58Speaker 4: surely could be me, But most people are leaving the
- 2:01Speaker 4: casino empty handed.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Damn, you know, I know.
- 2:04Speaker 2: And it's like I think I saw somebody's post on
- 2:06Speaker 2: Facebook yesterday.
- 2:07Speaker 3: They had this whole ranto like I'm leaving Tampa.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I can't find a job, I can't find a man,
- 2:13Speaker 2: like damn.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I mean there's a lot of people. There's like a
- 2:15Speaker 3: million people in the city.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Yeah, but sometimes that's what it takes for you to
- 2:18Speaker 4: go find where your actual people are.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Like I fully believe that.
- 2:21Speaker 4: If you feel like nothing is in a city for you,
- 2:23Speaker 4: there's probably a reason why. Like I had a friend
- 2:26Speaker 4: that just left Atlanta. She lived in Atlanta her whole life,
- 2:29Speaker 4: and she's like, my life is going to look exactly
- 2:30Speaker 4: the same in five years if I don't move somewhere new,
- 2:33Speaker 4: and she moved to Nashville.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Say good for them.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I like people that take that leap because it's hard.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It's scary to say I'm going to pick up my
- 2:40Speaker 2: entire life and I'm going to try to find a
- 2:42Speaker 2: new opportunity somewhere else. You got to find a new
- 2:45Speaker 2: friend group, a new career, a new living space, and
- 2:47Speaker 2: you got to figure out your routes and the publics
- 2:49Speaker 2: you're going to and to have that courage to do it.
- 2:51Speaker 2: I always say that I'm so proud of you because
- 2:53Speaker 2: I've had so many friends do it. Move across the country,
- 2:56Speaker 2: different states with nobody there.
- 2:59Speaker 3: That's a lot.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the worst. It's literally the worst.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I mean, it feels like it would be the worst
- 3:05Speaker 2: in the beginning, and it could be the best in
- 3:07Speaker 2: the end if all goes in the right frace.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah, and sometimes places aren't right for you, and then
- 3:10Speaker 1: you have to pack.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Up and do it again and then again and again
- 3:13Speaker 2: and hopefully one day you find your spot.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:15Speaker 3: So what ended up happening.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Well, I thought it.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Would be more fun to start up the episode with
- 3:21Speaker 4: a trend I just saw on Threads, which, weirdly, I
- 3:24Speaker 4: do get on threads every now and then because Instagram
- 3:26Speaker 4: will feed me ads. And I wanted your opinion on
- 3:30Speaker 4: this way to make your first move with men on
- 3:33Speaker 4: hinge because I'm wondering if there's some truth to it.
- 3:37Speaker 4: So the first thing I'm gonna ask you is what
- 3:39Speaker 4: is your favorite animal?
- 3:42Speaker 1: I know this is gonna say. Let me cook, what
- 3:44Speaker 1: is your favorite animal?
- 3:44Speaker 3: A whale?
- 3:45Speaker 4: Okay, you want to give me an explanation for why
- 3:47Speaker 4: whales are your favorite?
- 3:48Speaker 2: I think whales are so majestic. You do not see
- 3:50Speaker 2: them all the time. When you do that as a
- 3:52Speaker 2: rare moment that you're only going to get for about
- 3:54Speaker 2: a second.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Huh.
- 3:55Speaker 2: And so you have to travel, You got to be committed,
- 3:58Speaker 2: and then once you're out there, you got to patient.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You're about to offend the hell out of your GIRLFRIENDO.
- 4:03Speaker 2: I also like dogs and dolphins, if that makes it
- 4:05Speaker 2: any better.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no, you already committed to the bit.
- 4:07Speaker 4: So this user on threads at trip Lee thirty four
- 4:12Speaker 4: eighty nine said, I started asking men on dating apps
- 4:15Speaker 4: for their favorite animal and why because I remember learning
- 4:18Speaker 4: somewhere the answer to that is actually that their subconscious
- 4:21Speaker 4: description of an ideal partner. I will now drop the
- 4:24Speaker 4: results of this thought experiment below, starting with my favorite.
- 4:27Speaker 3: That's ridiculous.
- 4:28Speaker 4: So she messaged a guy and said about your favorite animal,
- 4:30Speaker 4: and this guy said, pandas because they're cute and stupid.
- 4:36Speaker 4: This guy said, I love sloths just let me vibe
- 4:38Speaker 4: in the trees and sleep all day. Also, female sloths
- 4:41Speaker 4: will scream into a male sloth mates with them, and
- 4:44Speaker 4: that's the kind of lack of subtlety I.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Need, just the Oh my god, I did not know
- 4:48Speaker 3: that about sloss. Fun fact.
- 4:49Speaker 1: This one's cute dogs for sure.
- 4:51Speaker 4: They're loyal, No, they know how you're feeling, expect nothing
- 4:53Speaker 4: but unconditional love, and are the only member of the family.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Who don't talk back.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Wow, it's horriful. Actually, God dang, this one said.
- 4:59Speaker 4: I think i'd say a brown bear, specifically the little cubs.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I want to hug one.
- 5:03Speaker 3: They look soft, So that's very accurate.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, so really precious. So yeah, no, Now I know
- 5:09Speaker 4: the truer Lady's majestic and majestic rare comes around once
- 5:13Speaker 4: in a minute and then goes away.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I would pay any amount of money to go and
- 5:17Speaker 2: see and go with experience, huh. I think if it
- 5:20Speaker 2: was like I don't like to say the basic answer
- 5:21Speaker 2: as a dog, but like, truthfully, the animal that I
- 5:24Speaker 2: can never live a life without is a dog.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 2: And I know people are cat people, or some people
- 5:28Speaker 2: were reptile people, and some people were bunnies and ferrets.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I'm a dog guy.
- 5:31Speaker 1: So you're calling your girlfriend a bitch whoa.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Loyal, cute, cuddly, beautiful, all the things. What would be
- 5:39Speaker 3: your favorite animal?
- 5:41Speaker 4: I mean, I do like my cats, but I mean
- 5:42Speaker 4: I recognize that cats, like my cats sometimes are are
- 5:46Speaker 4: not as cuddly as a dog constantly is. But I
- 5:49Speaker 4: do love how intelligent cats are. Like my cats, when
- 5:51Speaker 4: I look at them and I say words, I think
- 5:53Speaker 4: low key, they know what I'm talking about, whereas I
- 5:56Speaker 4: think with dogs, if you talk to them, they're just
- 5:57Speaker 4: kind of like whatever, where's the food?
- 5:59Speaker 3: Yeah, they're like I know one priority. It's either walk,
- 6:01Speaker 3: swirl or food.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I do want to have a dog one day.
- 6:03Speaker 4: It's just too much responsibility for me right now, and
- 6:06Speaker 4: I just couldn't handle having to take care of a puppy.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Where's my cats?
- 6:09Speaker 4: I feel like we're just like vibing, Like me and
- 6:11Speaker 4: my cats, We're just like hanging out, chilling.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm trying to see how like a guy would fit
- 6:15Speaker 2: into a cat mold, but it based off of the
- 6:17Speaker 2: things you said, it kind of does match. Somebody that's
- 6:20Speaker 2: intelligent but also kind of like.
- 6:23Speaker 4: M Yeah, I like someone like just who can just
- 6:26Speaker 4: vibe like I love just like just hanging out, be
- 6:28Speaker 4: cuddly when you want to be cuddly, go have.
- 6:30Speaker 1: The zoomies when you want to have the zoomies.
- 6:32Speaker 2: It's just but it's not always zoomies where it's like dogs.
- 6:35Speaker 2: It's like, I'm all up in your grow all the time.
- 6:37Speaker 2: You need to pay attention to me.
- 6:38Speaker 3: We need to go on a walk. I need a snack.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Like when I was dog sitting for my brother and
- 6:41Speaker 4: his fiance, I was like, this is this is a lot?
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And that's what like a lot of people when they
- 6:46Speaker 2: find out they actually like dogs, it's like you find
- 6:48Speaker 2: the dog that actually is right for you can't get
- 6:50Speaker 2: if you don't want a crazy Oh you don't get
- 6:52Speaker 2: a lab, you know, you get like a little I
- 6:54Speaker 2: don't know, shit su or something.
- 6:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 6:56Speaker 4: I do want a Corgi, but I feel like maybe
- 6:58Speaker 4: I should meet a Corgi in real life before I
- 7:00Speaker 4: decide I want them. Instead of just saying they have
- 7:01Speaker 4: cue butts, they do have, which is what, ironically what
- 7:04Speaker 4: I do say about.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Men's see, go find the one with the cue butt.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Do you want to hear about Jay or do you
- 7:08Speaker 1: want to hear about b first.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I want to hear about Jay first, because Jay was
- 7:11Speaker 2: the one that when I saw his profile, I thought,
- 7:14Speaker 2: this guy looks great, great photos.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Also could have been a bot.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Jay is good on paper, but I do think he
- 7:22Speaker 1: may be a serial killer.
- 7:23Speaker 3: That's kind of because.
- 7:24Speaker 4: If you missed yesterday's episode, which I highly recommend listening to,
- 7:27Speaker 4: like the latter half of yesterday's episode, if you're like,
- 7:30Speaker 4: what are you guys even talking about? Is?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Jay has these really great photos.
- 7:35Speaker 4: He's very handsome, he works in finance, he's looking for
- 7:38Speaker 4: a long term relationship, he lives in Tampa. He drinks socially,
- 7:42Speaker 4: so there's like a lot of things that line up
- 7:43Speaker 4: for us. But it genuinely looks like one day he
- 7:47Speaker 4: told his friend, let's go take photos of me and
- 7:49Speaker 4: my apartment complex and put them on my dating app.
- 7:52Speaker 3: And it's all the same kind of picture.
- 7:53Speaker 1: It's just all the same. He's not smiling, he's just
- 7:55Speaker 1: kind of like staring the camera down. It's a little
- 7:57Speaker 1: bit overly serious. It's kind of giving AI.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But he doesn't look AI to me, Like, I genuinely
- 8:02Speaker 4: think this guy just went to his apartment complex and
- 8:05Speaker 4: got in the pool and started taking pictures.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Personality might be lacking.
- 8:07Speaker 1: So it just seems like this guy doesn't have a life.
- 8:09Speaker 4: It seems like this guy maybe goes to the gym,
- 8:11Speaker 4: goes to work, has one friend who took these photos
- 8:13Speaker 4: and doesn't do anything outside of that.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Oh that just hurt because I know there's I mean
- 8:16Speaker 2: a tangent. So many guys are like that, like in
- 8:19Speaker 2: that lonely area of like, well, I don't really do
- 8:22Speaker 2: anything outside, so I know I could work out and work.
- 8:24Speaker 2: We put ourselves in that position because we think that
- 8:25Speaker 2: the cultures like that's well, you can at least control that.
- 8:28Speaker 3: But that's sad. I hope that's not the case.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It is sad. I mean, don't get me wrong.
- 8:31Speaker 4: It's not like I had this massive friend group, but
- 8:33Speaker 4: I'd like to think my life is a little bit
- 8:35Speaker 4: more than just hey, here's a couple of photos of
- 8:37Speaker 4: me in a bikini, and.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's what I'm saying, Like I could find
- 8:40Speaker 2: myself in that same exact position.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Like yesterday, I was like, damn, I'm glad I had
- 8:44Speaker 2: some social interaction in today, because if I just did
- 8:46Speaker 2: work I'd go work home, work out, and repeat exactly easy.
- 8:51Speaker 1: It's very easy. So I'm worried. This guy doesn't really
- 8:53Speaker 1: have much of a life.
- 8:54Speaker 4: And he messaged me and said, what's your schedule like
- 8:58Speaker 4: this week for drinks? I told him I can before
- 9:00Speaker 4: our event on Friday, and he said, yeah, that works,
- 9:03Speaker 4: and so then I said, as long as I'm out
- 9:06Speaker 4: by this time, I can do any time after this time,
- 9:10Speaker 4: and he said, okay, I can probably duck out of
- 9:13Speaker 4: work a little bit early. Want to meet in blank
- 9:15Speaker 4: blank around blank blank time? And I said works for me,
- 9:17Speaker 4: and they said cool, text me and they gave me
- 9:19Speaker 4: a number.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Oh okay, so that's at least the right direction.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, so we'll see.
- 9:23Speaker 4: I mean, I'm intrigued because literally I feel like I'm
- 9:26Speaker 4: talking to a LinkedIn profile. It does feel That's what
- 9:29Speaker 4: I feel like, which is fine. I don't want to
- 9:30Speaker 4: gab too much, you know what I mean. Like we're
- 9:32Speaker 4: either gonna gel or not. And at the very least
- 9:34Speaker 4: I'll have one bed with him in a place that's
- 9:36Speaker 4: not too far from my house and then I'll just
- 9:38Speaker 4: go to our event.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Later that evening.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Would you ever call off, like not call off a day,
- 9:42Speaker 2: but end the date like let's just say you get
- 9:44Speaker 2: there and it's immediately like this guy's like a piece
- 9:46Speaker 2: of paper.
- 9:47Speaker 1: No, I don't have an end me to be like
- 9:49Speaker 1: okay bye.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well I've heard so many people do that now
- 9:52Speaker 2: where it's like I'm not going to waste a minute.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Yeah if I know, we're not even gonna click if
- 9:55Speaker 2: you're let's just say for this phrase, dumb is the doorknob.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm out.
- 9:59Speaker 4: I think that's why with hinge dates, I like to
- 10:01Speaker 4: do what I'm doing tomorrow, where I'm sort of just
- 10:04Speaker 4: squeezing you into my schedule. I don't want to make
- 10:06Speaker 4: a whole Thursday evening out of it where I wouldn't
- 10:08Speaker 4: typically go out on a Thursday, so now I'm gonna
- 10:10Speaker 4: go out with this guy, because then it's like then
- 10:12Speaker 4: it feels like you wasted two hours or three hours,
- 10:14Speaker 4: however long it gets you take to get ready. Like
- 10:16Speaker 4: I do like to just be like, let's just meet
- 10:17Speaker 4: before this, so otherwise I can just go to my
- 10:20Speaker 4: event afterwards and be like, yeah, that was a waste.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Very public place tomorrow.
- 10:24Speaker 4: He hasn't told me, like where, but it's in a
- 10:26Speaker 4: public place. But it's like an area of town. He said,
- 10:30Speaker 4: do you want to meet in this area of town?
- 10:31Speaker 3: And I said, yeah, okay, as long as there's a
- 10:32Speaker 3: lot of people around. Yeah, just something. Did he give
- 10:35Speaker 3: you his Instagram mat or anything?
- 10:36Speaker 2: No?
- 10:36Speaker 1: Which is fine, Like I'm gonna meet him.
- 10:38Speaker 4: He'll probably suck and then I'll leave after an hour,
- 10:40Speaker 4: Like that's how it always goes. You meet, you go
- 10:42Speaker 4: it is now my husband and the like that's how
- 10:44Speaker 4: it always is so far, So I'm going out with no.
- 10:48Speaker 2: No.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I mean, I don't mind the whole immediate asking out.
- 10:51Speaker 3: No, that's fine, it's just like I don't know, like
- 10:53Speaker 3: little okay.
- 10:53Speaker 2: My transparent thought immediately is like god, this sounds so creepy,
- 10:57Speaker 2: Like it just sounds like too basic, where I'm like,
- 10:59Speaker 2: is he just gonna snatch you up?
- 11:00Speaker 3: And like we're just never gonna see aby again?
- 11:02Speaker 1: Like that's what about this sounds creepy.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I don't know, It's just I don't know. His profile
- 11:05Speaker 2: was boring. I don't know if he has any friends.
- 11:07Speaker 2: He's has no pictures of friends on his not his profile.
- 11:10Speaker 4: That is the only thing I find bizarre about this
- 11:12Speaker 4: is the fact that he is zero photos that don't
- 11:15Speaker 4: look like they were.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Staged like I would literally only again, that's why I
- 11:18Speaker 2: keep bringing up the Instagram thing. I would only feel
- 11:19Speaker 2: more comfortable if I just knew he had an Instagram.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That's yeah. I mean I don't think.
- 11:23Speaker 4: I mean, maybe he is, but it's not like he
- 11:25Speaker 4: It's not like it's a rare part of town. We're
- 11:27Speaker 4: going to a very like sociable part of town for
- 11:29Speaker 4: a Friday evening.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah, that's fine.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I mean I don't I'm not getting the creep vibes.
- 11:33Speaker 4: I'm just getting the maybe this guy's a loser vibe.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Yeah. Maybe, Okay, I'd rather be that, would rather be
- 11:39Speaker 3: a loser.
- 11:39Speaker 1: But maybe he's not. You know what it's giving me.
- 11:41Speaker 4: It's giving me like clovicular energy, do you know what
- 11:44Speaker 4: I mean? Like looks Maxine, looks like here's a hero
- 11:48Speaker 4: photos that I know I look really good in and
- 11:50Speaker 4: they're just photos of me in my apartment complex.
- 11:55Speaker 1: And then the parking garage.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And that's the part again, just transparent. That's the part
- 11:58Speaker 2: that's like freaks me out a little. But I'm like, yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 2: damn it, you know you can lure me in because
- 12:02Speaker 2: I look good.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Where Yeah, where is B, so we'll get into B.
- 12:07Speaker 4: His profile is objectively not that great, but at least
- 12:10Speaker 4: I'm like, that's a person.
- 12:12Speaker 2: Yes, he has like actual things shown around the Tampa Bay.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Area here, oh I know that area.
- 12:17Speaker 4: I'm like, oh that that's kind of a weird profile picture.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Like his profile picture, it's literally like he was on
- 12:22Speaker 4: a walk and he's like, you know what snappy.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I like went through all my.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Photos like which one statistically is more likely to get
- 12:30Speaker 4: likes from the men, and I look at this photo.
- 12:33Speaker 4: It looks like he was out on a run. He's
- 12:34Speaker 4: literally like next to a strip mall and he just
- 12:36Speaker 4: pulled up a camera.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Was like, yeah, that'll do.
- 12:38Speaker 3: Wait, let me see the picture. Oh yeah, that's yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 4: But I can see the thing is, even though the
- 12:44Speaker 4: context of the photo was like what are you doing,
- 12:46Speaker 4: he looks good, Like I'm like, okay that he is
- 12:48Speaker 4: like a handsome face. And then the rest of his
- 12:50Speaker 4: profile looks here's him on the ski slopes, here's him
- 12:53Speaker 4: at his university football championship game or whatever.
- 12:59Speaker 3: No normal human photo.
- 13:01Speaker 4: LinkedIn headshot him at a Bucks game, and then him
- 13:05Speaker 4: in front of a race car. So he must like
- 13:07Speaker 4: cars or something. I don't know room room looks very normal.
- 13:13Speaker 3: At last, he's actually human. You could base that off.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Where did we leave off with.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Be So the last thing is you You texted him
- 13:19Speaker 2: back about like I don't know, hometown stuff.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 4: Yeah, So we left off with me thinking, oh my god,
- 13:24Speaker 4: this guy's actually maybe me funny because I was joking
- 13:28Speaker 4: with you because he had on his profile my love
- 13:30Speaker 4: language is physical touch, and I was roasting this guy.
- 13:32Speaker 4: I'm I don't care about this dude. I'm like, my
- 13:34Speaker 4: love language is physical touch. I'm like every guy that
- 13:36Speaker 4: says that, it's like, we get it.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You like to fuck?
- 13:38Speaker 3: Yeah, come on, we totally get it.
- 13:40Speaker 1: We understand. And I was like, every guy who says
- 13:42Speaker 1: that is just like.
- 13:44Speaker 3: You just like to have sex.
- 13:45Speaker 4: And then I scroll up and then the prompt right
- 13:49Speaker 4: above it says, I'll pick the topic if you start
- 13:50Speaker 4: the conversation, and he says everyone who says their love
- 13:53Speaker 4: language is physical touch is just chronically corny, and then he.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Put physical touch.
- 13:58Speaker 4: I'm like, you know what, that's actually really funny, And
- 14:00Speaker 4: the fact that I just vocalized what you just said,
- 14:03Speaker 4: I'm like, maybe we have a similar sense of humor
- 14:05Speaker 4: because the other thing I didn't like about him was
- 14:07Speaker 4: I didn't know if he was being ironic or not.
- 14:09Speaker 4: And for me, if you say, hey, how it's going,
- 14:11Speaker 4: and I go, hey, I'm good, how about you, and
- 14:13Speaker 4: you say blessed and highly favored.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Amen, that's not that's.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Not my vibe, that's not your energy, respectfully, like we're
- 14:20Speaker 4: not going to get along. But then he asked me
- 14:22Speaker 4: where I'm I'm from in jacks because I guess you
- 14:24Speaker 4: used to live in Jackson. I said, oh, I went
- 14:26Speaker 4: to blah blah blah blah blah, and then he had
- 14:27Speaker 4: like a normal response.
- 14:28Speaker 1: And so then finally I read all these prompts.
- 14:30Speaker 4: On the episode yesterday and I go, wait a second,
- 14:33Speaker 4: maybe I'm in love with him.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Oh, I'm just kidding. I mean, maybe I'm interested.
- 14:37Speaker 4: So I responded, I said, same, I'm overdue for a
- 14:40Speaker 4: visit blah blah blah. And then he said, do you
- 14:42Speaker 4: have any plans for the rest of the week. I'm like,
- 14:43Speaker 4: finally there we go, like ask me out, my guy,
- 14:47Speaker 4: and then he goes, probably, So then I said, probably
- 14:49Speaker 4: just the usual hanging with friends shenanigans, just kind of like,
- 14:53Speaker 4: you know, I'm hanging out with people m vibing.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Like you're saying. But if I were to decode that,
- 14:57Speaker 3: I'd say, oh, you have availability.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I I'm not.
- 15:00Speaker 4: So that was my way of saying, you know, I'm
- 15:02Speaker 4: like doing something, but it's not that serious.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Come on, like you could change the plans real quick.
- 15:06Speaker 4: Yeah, probably just hanging with friends, but not like, oh,
- 15:08Speaker 4: at seven pm, I'm doing this and ten pm I'm
- 15:10Speaker 4: doing that. Just like if you want to ask me out,
- 15:12Speaker 4: like I'm hanging out with people, maybe let's bump into
- 15:15Speaker 4: each other.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Make the move. Yeah.
- 15:16Speaker 4: So then he says, sounds like you have your routine,
- 15:20Speaker 4: and then he said I don't know why, but when
- 15:22Speaker 4: I read that, it immediately made me think of Dog Saloon,
- 15:26Speaker 4: which is ironic where I was like two weeks ago.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So I'm like, oh my god, was he there? Did
- 15:30Speaker 1: he see me there?
- 15:31Speaker 3: Oh my god? Spotted across the route. I don't even
- 15:33Speaker 3: know where that place is. Where is that?
- 15:34Speaker 1: It's uh in Palmcia?
- 15:36Speaker 3: Oh oh wow? Okay, nice.
- 15:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's down the street from our new sales girl,
- 15:39Speaker 4: because that's where we walked to. We went to marou
- 15:40Speaker 4: and then we walked a dog.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Oh okay, little South Tampa, little adventures and it's very funny.
- 15:44Speaker 4: So maybe he's just saying that, because when I linked
- 15:47Speaker 4: up with her, she said literally the exact same thing.
- 15:50Speaker 4: She's like, I have a routine. I like to go
- 15:51Speaker 4: to Marou and then I like to go to a
- 15:52Speaker 4: dog saloon. And so I'm like, is that what the
- 15:54Speaker 4: people do? It's like the Maru to dog pipeline. So
- 15:57Speaker 4: maybe he's just saying you look basic as fun.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Ah.
- 16:00Speaker 4: He's like, I've heard this before, and so I said, hah,
- 16:03Speaker 4: and this is kind of a lie, but I mean
- 16:05Speaker 4: a lie, but not really a lie.
- 16:07Speaker 1: He said, ha.
- 16:07Speaker 4: They're always trying to get me in there, but it's
- 16:09Speaker 4: not really my vibe, as if people are constantly.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Being like, Abby, let's come on, we need you out here.
- 16:15Speaker 4: I've been asked out twice to to dog saloon by
- 16:17Speaker 4: friends and I've gone every single time.
- 16:18Speaker 3: There you go.
- 16:19Speaker 4: And then I said, what are you getting into? And
- 16:22Speaker 4: then he said what is your vibe?
- 16:24Speaker 3: He said that to you?
- 16:25Speaker 4: Yeah, And then I said, I want to go wakeboarding
- 16:29Speaker 4: only thing on my calendar.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Lool, that's what you said, That's what he said.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Oh okay, So I haven't responded because he just sent me
- 16:34Speaker 4: that like a couple of minutes ago.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Okay. So he said he was asking you what's your
- 16:40Speaker 3: vibe then for.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Because I said, dog Saloon's not really my vibe, okay,
- 16:44Speaker 4: and so then he said what is your vibe? And
- 16:45Speaker 4: then I said and then he said, I wanted to
- 16:47Speaker 4: go wakeboarding? Only thing on my calendar.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Oh nice, Okay. So he's active.
- 16:51Speaker 2: That's fun, but that the goal would be, I don't know,
- 16:54Speaker 2: I didn't do it right. There is once you give
- 16:57Speaker 2: the vibe, Yeah, he's gonna find the place that matches
- 16:59Speaker 2: the vibe.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So what's a way.
- 17:01Speaker 4: For me to say my vibe that will give him
- 17:03Speaker 4: a good lobby to just be like, hey, do you
- 17:05Speaker 4: want to go out?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Because I don't want to do this for another four days?
- 17:07Speaker 3: Absolutely not.
- 17:08Speaker 1: You get twenty four hours, my guy.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I would say it's something along the line of like
- 17:12Speaker 2: the truth, like I like to hit up a couple
- 17:14Speaker 2: of the spots downtown, like do that little area, m okay.
- 17:17Speaker 4: But I don't want to sound like I'm some basic
- 17:19Speaker 4: like water Streak girl, because I don't really go to
- 17:21Speaker 4: Water Street that much. I don't want to get here's
- 17:23Speaker 4: what I actually don't want to give the vibe I
- 17:25Speaker 4: don't want to give gold digger vibes, and I feel
- 17:26Speaker 4: like Water Street can sometimes give gold digger socialite Tampa vibes.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Yeah, well, then I would say a type of drink
- 17:31Speaker 3: that you like.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I love a good blah blah blah like some people say,
- 17:34Speaker 2: I like a good espresso martini or a glass of one,
- 17:36Speaker 2: And then I could work with that. Now I can
- 17:37Speaker 2: go find the place, because again I don't know if
- 17:40Speaker 2: this is the right move, but I do. If you're
- 17:42Speaker 2: a dude and you hear that, you're like, oh, I'm
- 17:43Speaker 2: going to go online, do a little research.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Where's the best place to find a Kim Crawford solving
- 17:48Speaker 4: Where is the crispiest side?
- 17:49Speaker 3: So like your Aperaol sprits kind of, I do like
- 17:52Speaker 3: an apperaol. Yeah, I would be like, oh.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and find a cool place
- 17:56Speaker 2: that has a good Apperol sprits and a good environment
- 17:58Speaker 2: to show that I'm putting in a little effort. Okay,
- 18:00Speaker 2: that would be my thought process.
- 18:01Speaker 4: I want to give a vibe that says I'm chill,
- 18:03Speaker 4: but I don't go to dog saloon a lot.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Yeah that's not necessarily vibe, but I like this kind
- 18:08Speaker 2: of sprits, sprinty drink.
- 18:09Speaker 3: And a water view.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I'm not uptight, Like I don't need to go to
- 18:12Speaker 1: a cocktail bar.
- 18:13Speaker 3: True, but like what if you throws puppy at you
- 18:17Speaker 3: are bowling?
- 18:17Speaker 4: I don't want to do an activity there you go.
- 18:19Speaker 4: I just want to like meet you because if I
- 18:20Speaker 4: don't like you, I don't want to be stuck with you.
- 18:21Speaker 3: For I don't want to bowl the whole ten frames.
- 18:24Speaker 4: I was like, let's meet because I the only thing
- 18:26Speaker 4: I don't like about dating apps is for me, this
- 18:27Speaker 4: isn't a first date.
- 18:28Speaker 3: This is us meeting introduction.
- 18:30Speaker 4: So I'm like, it doesn't need to be a big deal.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Like when people are like, oh, you really need to
- 18:33Speaker 4: like wine and dine in me, I'm like, I don't
- 18:35Speaker 4: know you.
- 18:36Speaker 3: That's a big ass commitment. That's like an hour and
- 18:38Speaker 3: a half.
- 18:38Speaker 1: No, it's like two hours.
- 18:40Speaker 4: And then you know they have the bill and it's
- 18:42Speaker 4: hundreds of dollars and it's just not my vibe.
- 18:44Speaker 3: That's nice that you care about their bill, that they're
- 18:46Speaker 3: paying well.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Because I think I feel bad because it's vulnerable to
- 18:49Speaker 4: put yourself out there and then to like put yourself
- 18:52Speaker 4: out there and then if I don't like you, I
- 18:53Speaker 4: don't want to feel responsible for like you paying so
- 18:56Speaker 4: much money because you really were into me and you
- 18:58Speaker 4: were trying to woo me.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I don't know, I just yeah.
- 19:00Speaker 2: I mean that's a choice that guys have to make.
- 19:02Speaker 2: If you're either gonna woo you got to commit to
- 19:04Speaker 2: the wu.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't want to.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I don't want to get I don't want him to
- 19:07Speaker 4: weasel himself into game wooed.
- 19:08Speaker 3: That's true, you know what I mean?
- 19:10Speaker 1: So what do I say?
- 19:10Speaker 3: I would say what you like.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I would like I like a good spritz, and I
- 19:14Speaker 2: like a nice view that's kind of basic and it's
- 19:17Speaker 2: enough very could run with it. I'd be very curious
- 19:20Speaker 2: of what he runs with. I want to say certain
- 19:22Speaker 2: locations because it's, like you said, it could sound not.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I guess.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Tampa's known to have a little gold digger vibe,
- 19:29Speaker 2: but I don't.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I think Tampa has such a gold digger vibe that
- 19:32Speaker 4: I'm almost like trying to really prove that I'm not
- 19:34Speaker 4: a gold digger. I mean, like I don't really have
- 19:37Speaker 4: the rest I'm not a gold digger. I mean I
- 19:38Speaker 4: want you to not I want you to money.
- 19:39Speaker 3: But like, yeah, but I'm not trying to take all
- 19:41Speaker 3: of it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: I don't want to be obvious about it.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I really just like it low key in the sense
- 19:44Speaker 4: like I want you to have a good job, but
- 19:46Speaker 4: I'm not like a gold digger.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Does that make sense?
- 19:49Speaker 3: Absolutely know what I mean?
- 19:51Speaker 4: Should I say really anywhere I can get a solid
- 19:53Speaker 4: glass of wine? Or should I say anywhere where there's
- 19:56Speaker 4: a Should I say sprits or wine? Which makes me
- 19:58Speaker 4: sound more chill?
- 19:59Speaker 3: I would say you could say both.
- 20:01Speaker 2: I'd say I love a good sprits I found some
- 20:03Speaker 2: cool areas, or I like a good glass of wine. Yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 2: but you're not into like and then you could say
- 20:08Speaker 2: I mean That's how the conversation would continue. It's like,
- 20:10Speaker 2: I don't need this big, loud environment. If that's you,
- 20:13Speaker 2: I don't need it to be well. I guess you
- 20:15Speaker 2: kind of do like a little shoulder shoulder action I like.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I mean, I like a bar as long as it
- 20:20Speaker 4: fits the vibe of the evening. Like I like to
- 20:23Speaker 4: dance when I'm with my gal pals. I like going
- 20:25Speaker 4: to a die bar when I'm with a big guy
- 20:27Speaker 4: girl group.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, because I think it get rowdy.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Yeah, but if it's just like me on a date,
- 20:31Speaker 4: I don't want to go dog slone. Yeah okay, I'm
- 20:33Speaker 4: just gonna say, really, anywhere I can get a solid
- 20:35Speaker 4: glass of wine. Ha ha, So fine, I guess that works.
- 20:38Speaker 3: See.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I was thinking of like the what's that place over
- 20:41Speaker 2: and that I just went to Harbor Island?
- 20:43Speaker 3: This I keep calling it Sulcy. Oh, sorc Sorcy. That's one.
- 20:47Speaker 3: That's the vibe I'm trying to give.
- 20:49Speaker 1: What should I say about the weather.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Maybe it'd be like, oh, it looks like it'll be
- 20:52Speaker 4: good wakeboart your weather on Saturday.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I don't know you ever wanted a wakeboard.
- 20:57Speaker 1: No, I'm just like, it doesn't look like great weather
- 20:59Speaker 1: for wake row. Doesn't look like like great weather or weak.
- 21:06Speaker 2: We week tvach like, where do you even wakeboard?
- 21:10Speaker 3: And I guess that was a stupid question. We're literally
- 21:14Speaker 3: on the water, all right.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Well, I guess we'll get an update as soon as possible.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Hopefully this guy makes it happen in the next twenty
- 21:19Speaker 2: four hours.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Yeah, he seems cool.
- 21:21Speaker 4: You're gonna get an update on Jay, Monday or Tuesday,
- 21:25Speaker 4: whenever we record.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Make sure your friends have your location I'm gonna be.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Fine, say my first rodeo. Oh god, no, I know.
- 21:33Speaker 2: I'm just gotta be honest. What the thoughts that have? Anyway,
- 21:36Speaker 2: if you want to come and check out a lot
