- 0:02O o o o o o O I clean, queen, I want sweet,
- 0:49sweet sweet, I'm not it was sweet. Hello, and welcome to
- 1:21Believe in the Journey Podcast, where I am your host, Travida Harrison.
- 1:26This is episode number ten, so welcome, Welcome, Welcome once again to
- 1:30Believe in the Journey Podcast. I am grateful that you are here with me
- 1:36tonight. My guest is miss Masha Henderson, and I'm going to give a
- 1:41brief introduction of her. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1:45She is the founder of Sister's Empowerment Movement. She's the owner of Explicit monet
- 1:52Kature. She has a love for passion and uplifting and encouraging women, which
- 1:59is what made her have the natural transition to becoming a certified life coach.
- 2:04There are other other accolades that my sister, my friend Masha and Henderson has,
- 2:09so as soon as she is here, we will welcome her and get
- 2:15started with our conversation. However, as I said, welcome, and we're
- 2:19gonna begin this podcast with a prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for
- 2:25this moment. Thank you for the strength that you have given me over these
- 2:30past few weeks. It has been a true test of endurance and a true
- 2:36test of faith. This day last week, I lost my mom. So
- 2:42this show is dedicated to her. Please give me the strength to make it
- 2:46through this show because I am missing her, dearly. I love you,
- 2:50and I honor you and thank you for this moment, because without you,
- 2:53I am nothing, and with you, I am everything. So I thank
- 2:58you for the endurance of being with my mom and being able to share this
- 3:04moment with her. Even though she's not here in the physicals, she's here
- 3:07in spirit, and she would want me to continue and not be over here
- 3:13whining like a little baby about the fact that she's no longer here. So
- 3:17I honor you, and I thank you, and in Jesus name, I
- 3:21pray Amen. Lord, y'all listen, I am gonna try my best to
- 3:29keep it together, but I am missing my mommy. But I know she
- 3:53don't have time for me to be having these tears out here. So let's
- 3:59just talk about her in general, and you'll understand why I'm just disturbing and
- 4:09as hard headed as she is, my mom lived life on her own terms,
- 4:18and she lived life according to how she saw fit for herself. And
- 4:27it wasn't a perfect role for anyone looking from the outside, but it was
- 4:30the role and how she wanted to live her life. She made the decisions
- 4:34that she wanted to make, and she made no apologies for it, and
- 4:44so it was. It was a definite honor to be her daughter. It
- 4:49was an honor to be her friend. It was an honor to be her
- 4:54joking partner. It was just an honor to love her conditionally. And I
- 5:03can't think of a better person to have been my mom. Um. I'm
- 5:09gonna bring my mentor up, miss Angela Thomas, and I'll talk about the
- 5:16moment that I introduced my mom to her um while my mom was up in
- 5:24the hospital. Um. It was an interesting um moment, to say the
- 5:30least, because my mom never thought she would live to see the day,
- 5:36UM where I interacted with other people besides myself. All right, miss miss
- 5:48Angela, Yes, you remember the very first day I introduced you to my
- 5:56mom and she trouble, She said, yeah, she said that one right
- 6:04there looks like she up to something. I can't figure it out just yet,
- 6:09but she up to something. And every time every time we would come
- 6:15on the what's her name? If I had my camera off like I just
- 6:17came on. She I was. She wanted to see me. She would
- 6:21not she didn't want no, she did not want no blank space, no
- 6:27blank nothing. She wants to see your face because she don't believe in you
- 6:31just hearing your voice. She got to see your face to see exactly what
- 6:35you do. And she, Um, she asked to lead us in prayer.
- 6:45And do you remember that prayer that she I'm so grateful for the time
- 6:54that we had with her, and even though it was short, I tell
- 6:57you, Um, that was my purple lip friend. M We have some
- 7:01memories and I'm glad that we were able to create those memories. Um.
- 7:05She would always be a part of the Crew podcast. Um, she was
- 7:10able to come on and host her own show. Yeah, forever hold that
- 7:15memory. Um, I mean, that is just something special that we will
- 7:19always carry with us. And I'm just I'm grateful to you for allowing us
- 7:25in your space and allowing us that time because you could have you could have
- 7:29just said no, but yeah, I could have listen. I could have
- 7:32kept my mama to myself because there were many times that I wanted to I
- 7:36did not want to share her with anybody, but it would not have been
- 7:42um, it wouldn't have been fair. You guys needed to um. You
- 7:48guys needed to see her as much as I needed to see her in that
- 7:51prayer. Oh my god, I'm I'm getting ready to share this prayer with
- 7:57you guys, because it was her hilarious and these are my mama's words,
- 8:01they're not mine, and it went like this, they're heavenly Father, thank
- 8:07you for the opportunity that I never thought I would see for my daughter to
- 8:11have friends, because I swear I never believe that this child of mine would
- 8:16have friends in this lifetime that I would live to see. God, that's
- 8:22it, thank you. And I mean there was a couple of cuss words
- 8:24in there too, but I'm trying to sense to that because we got I
- 8:31think we got it on video, don't we. I think so, because
- 8:35she was off the chain that day and I was like, Mama, you
- 8:39can't do that, and she was like, well shit, God knows my
- 8:43heart. She was like, and this is the truth. And I'm like,
- 8:48Mama, no, don't do that. But the love of this woman,
- 8:54the goofiness that she had was always contagious. If she laughed, you
- 9:00were gonna laugh to you. Didn't know what you was laughing at half the
- 9:03time, but you were gonna laugh with her. Well, you guys,
- 9:07I'm gonna bring my guests up, miss Myisha Henderson, and I gave you,
- 9:11guys her brief introduction, and I will give it to you once again.
- 9:20Hello her, how are you? I'm doing good girl. I'm trying
- 9:28to scream yard this to my Facebook page. I hope exactly. Well,
- 9:37if it doesn't, we're always able to share it afterwards. But I gave
- 9:41a brief introduction of you before you got on, and I'll do that again
- 9:46so that you'll know what was said. This is my friend and my sister,
- 9:50Miss Myisha Henderson. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 9:54She is the founder of Sisters Empowerment Movement. She is the owner of Explicit
- 10:01Moneque Coutour. She has a passion for fashion and uplifting and encouraging women,
- 10:07which made it a natural transition for her to become a certified life coach.
- 10:11There are many other accolades that my sister and my friend has, but we're
- 10:16gonna talk about those during this conversation. So yes, is there anything else
- 10:24that you might want to add to that introduction. I mean, you did
- 10:28such an amazing job at presenting me her knee. Um, I'd like to
- 10:37say it's yes, Um, I'm in a Plum collaboration book where we are
- 10:46a number one international best spelling author. Um actually clean now my own my
- 10:54book as well as to the Moon, which we have treats just uplift and
- 11:05empower one another all the time. Yes, and see, that is how
- 11:11I met you. I posted a poem on my page and it's it was
- 11:18entitled black Woman, and you reached out to me and asked me to share
- 11:22it in the group, and then you asked me to speak. Now,
- 11:26I'm gonna be honest with you. When you asked me to speak, I
- 11:30was so terrified, and honestly, I was in the middle of replying and
- 11:35saying no, but before I realized that yes, I am so serious.
- 11:41I was in the middle of me mentally saying no, I'm not gonna do
- 11:46it, but before I realized that I had already typed yes, I will
- 11:50do this. So every day I was like, oh my god, I
- 11:54agreed to do something I've never done before in my life, is speak in
- 11:58public, and everybody's like, well, it's virtual, it'll be fun.
- 12:01You don't have to worry about anything. And I was like, y'all don't
- 12:05understand this right here. Public speaking is not something I do. Rather it's
- 12:09behind a computer or whatever. It's just not something I do. So I'm
- 12:16gonna say you now, honey, look at this like three years later,
- 12:20this is yes later, and you are doing an amazing job. Okay,
- 12:26like proud of you. You step that on, say actually get it,
- 12:33you are doing it, Like I'm proud of you. Well, I thank
- 12:37you, and I have to say thank you for believing in me and seeing
- 12:41something in me that I did not seeing myself, because had it not been
- 12:45for you, I don't think I would be here now because I was really
- 12:50about to like I said, I was going to say no, and you
- 12:54were like, you got this, you can do it. And I was
- 12:56like, okay, if you say so. But you saw something in me
- 13:01that has left me into this position and to do all of these things.
- 13:05And so I I am grateful for you for seeing what I did not see.
- 13:13Absolutely, I'm I just still can't believe it. Like you are on
- 13:18top of the world right now. I'm on top of the world because I'm
- 13:20like, I'm look what I helped do. Like you never know what you're
- 13:26doing, you know, So I mean, yeah, this was starting you.
- 13:30I love the poem and it spoke to me, so I was like,
- 13:35I just have to reach out to you. You just have to do
- 13:37this conference with me, like it's gonna be amazing, like and look at
- 13:43you. And it was truly truly amazing. And I love to be virtual.
- 13:50Yes, yes, yes, clying everything. Yes, it was amazing.
- 13:58I was so blessed and honor to be in the midst of everybody.
- 14:03So that trueness of who you are, that genline of uplifting and every woman
- 14:09there had an uplifting story to share. It wasn't anything to be shameful about
- 14:15or anything of that nature. And it was like for you to pull all
- 14:20of these people together, different backgrounds, different personalities and all of that,
- 14:26and it just kept going. If you'd left there unfulfilled that day, I
- 14:31don't know what you were doing, because there was no way for you to
- 14:35not leave there and be full of appreciation, encouragement. Everybody who came in
- 14:43there, if their cup was empty when they got there, it was overflowing
- 14:46when they left. So I am grateful to you for that moment and allowing
- 14:52me to share that space with you and everyone else. And I built other
- 14:56friendships off of that as well, because that openings for the virtual monologue that
- 15:05I did what I and I was like, I don't even know anything about
- 15:11that. And see the crazy part about that was the part that I played,
- 15:16which was mismotivation, had no speaking parts. I had to improvise that
- 15:22whole speaking part for myself. So you opened up a door that I never
- 15:26knew needed to be open. I'm just grateful. So I'm grateful that you're
- 15:31here to share this moment with me. So we're gonna talk about you following
- 15:35your passion. Let me shut up so that we could talk about it Me
- 15:39following my passion from the beginning. Oh yeah, I've always hood. I
- 15:54don't want to say it's a gift, but I have where I'm able to
- 15:58move a room. And with me being able to move a room, sometimes
- 16:06my cup get empty, and with my cup being is like, who do
- 16:11I turn to when I need help? When I need my cup to be
- 16:15field back up? Who do I come? Who do I run to?
- 16:18You know, everybody doesn't have therapists, right, right, especially with us
- 16:23being entrepreneurs sometimes, I mean entrepreneurs don't even have health insurance anything, you
- 16:29know. So so I wanted to build a safe space that we can talk
- 16:36about our trials and tribulations and what maybe going on us, get somebody back
- 16:42into give something back to you, you know. So I needed that for
- 16:48myself. So I said, hey, I got like nine to clients at
- 16:55my house and say hey, y'all, like, everybody's going through something,
- 16:59but I'm the person and that everybody comes to. But you know, I
- 17:02have this friend that it's going through. This is that same thing that you
- 17:07may be going through. But I'm not a person though. I'm not trying
- 17:11to tell nobody business. I want you to tell your own business, right
- 17:15child in the room together so that you guys can share each other's stories,
- 17:21so that you guys can feel your cup back up from each other. Yeah,
- 17:26that's how it started. And my leaving room in twoy eighteen. Okay,
- 17:33okay, So from there, I was like, well, you know
- 17:37what, we do this again and house, I'm trying to get everybody out
- 17:45like and like when I say again, were laughing, we're crying, we're
- 17:52sharing stories, We're you know, everybody is leaving so much better then they
- 18:00came. Yea. So from there it's like a it's a healing session,
- 18:03you know. So from there, yeah, I said, well, you
- 18:07know what if I do this again and bring it to the public, would
- 18:12you guys have liked some friends? Yes, everybody say is I had a
- 18:19confluence and there was seventy with some people there from ten and oh wow,
- 18:29you know, and that's when I saw this was my calling, you know.
- 18:34I was like, Okay, I have to I have to continue doing
- 18:38this. We're at a press circle, you know, were praying. We're
- 18:41praying off of our ladies, you know, everybody. It's fed spiritually and
- 18:53right now we got a Facebook group now that's like two thousand people in the
- 18:57exactly. It's so wonderful to see that I have members in different State's gonna
- 19:06be nationwide listen, and I'm waiting for it because it is happening. You
- 19:12know, that small group in the living room always had the intention to be
- 19:18bigger and be greater, and you follow that. You basically were obedient to
- 19:23what God was telling you to do. It started out with the need to
- 19:26fulfill yourself and to fulfiel what you needed. Your cup was empty, but
- 19:33afterwards you have people that poured into that cup, so you didn't leave empty
- 19:37anymore. And so the overflow that has come from that has continued to overflow
- 19:44over and over and over, and that is why it keeps building. And
- 19:48that is the most beautiful part about it is that the overflow is touching everybody
- 19:56that needs to be touched, and you can always come into that group to
- 20:00get something from that day because somebody has an uplifting poem, an uplifting scripture,
- 20:08and uplifting whatever. Whatever you're going through, you can always check in
- 20:12and get what you need from that that space, and it's a safe space.
- 20:18It's a welcoming space, and it's just it's that space. If your
- 20:23cup is running on e you can go there to be refilled and then you
- 20:29have some overflow exactly. And when you have that, I will flow.
- 20:33You give it to somebody else. You feel somebody else cup with me?
- 20:37Yeah, yep, And that's great. You know. Now you your passion
- 20:48for fashion, like I have seen your clothes and lore have mercy. I
- 20:53love them. However, like with the dresses and things like that, I'm
- 20:56so short. It's it's like our end up having to cut it and have
- 21:00two dresses because I'm social. I am five two. I don't want to
- 21:07hear that I'm for AIDS. I'm for AIDS. I got some many stuff
- 21:15I'll help for you. Okay, we'll see that's what I need, because
- 21:18that'd be my thing. Because being for eights, it's a struggle to find
- 21:22stuff that I don't have to cut off, that I don't have to him
- 21:26that I don't have to move the adjustments too, because it is a struggle
- 21:33being curvy and being sure. So I struggle a lot with that. But
- 21:41the clothes that you have are just wonderful because they fit the full figured woman,
- 21:48you know, and the small women too. I ain't ain't leaving them
- 21:52out. But it's always harder to to style a plus size woman who has
- 21:59curves, and we get frustrated sometimes because we look at it on the little
- 22:04skinny version and then they'd be like, okay, well I want to wear
- 22:08that, and then people be like, you got too many curves and guys,
- 22:11you can't put that on. Yes we can when we do it with
- 22:15grace. You have to just find stuff for your body. Fight because when
- 22:21when I'm picking these clothes out for explicing on aperture, I am putting it
- 22:26with me and I I have a little tummy, you know what I'm saying.
- 22:30I got these brands, you know, I got to have something that's
- 22:33gonna look flattering on me. Yes, you know. And I'm like again,
- 22:37it's like who else is like me? You know, just having these
- 22:42problems? You know, Yeah, we have these problems. I need to
- 22:47find calls that pick us and yeah, good when how you give me that
- 22:52topic? The pressure? Okay, pressure? Why wasn't the pressure though?
- 23:04Because I mean it's but oh my god, because that's basically what you did.
- 23:21You started all of this because it was the passion that you had,
- 23:26and it led you into all of that. It was like a gradual transition
- 23:30into this space. So it was like okay, because I sat there and
- 23:36I was like, okay, what can we talk about? Because and then
- 23:40I read your bio and so I was like, Okay, this is what
- 23:45we're gonna talk about. Like whenever I read anybody's bio, this is how
- 23:48I come up with my topics for the show. Because I'm like, nobody
- 23:52ever wants to give me a topic of what they want to talk about.
- 23:56So this is this is why I made the topic, but because I'm like,
- 24:00Okay, what would you like to talk about? Oh I don't know,
- 24:03Well I could do this or I could do that, but I don't
- 24:04know. You'd let me know. So I was reading a bio and I
- 24:07was like, Okay, she has a true passion for fashion. She started
- 24:12all of these, so this is entrepreneurship. So and she's a life coach.
- 24:18All of this is her passion, whether she realizes it was a passion
- 24:25from the fashion was just the main one that was her number one thing,
- 24:30and then she started the Sister's Empowerment movement. Then she started the fashion line,
- 24:37and then the life coaching and being able to motivate people and all of
- 24:41that kind of stuff. Oh yeah, we're gonna talk about this passion because
- 24:45there's so many passions that lead up to this. So that's what we're gonna
- 24:49do. And you started all of this from the heart and that's why it's
- 24:56it's growing and then it's building and you put or into people. I can
- 25:02attest to that because I was one of those cups that you poured into.
- 25:06You share with me, So your passion is just what that is. It
- 25:10is your passion, it is your your thing. So when you got started,
- 25:15I know you probably and you probably still have these moments where you're unsure
- 25:19of the next step. What is that's all the time today? Today?
- 25:29You know, like that is today. It's not just one time, it's
- 25:33it's all the stuff, you know, Like where do we go from here?
- 25:37Like with the with the fashion and the clothes and things like that.
- 25:40Like even when I was in school, I like dressing up. I like
- 25:45dressing. I was in seventh grade with a dress zone with a tip around
- 25:49my neck like I was in Paris. Oh my gosh, Like I was
- 25:53always dressing you know how I like to look good near It's like when I
- 26:02start gaining weight and not going to the store, it's like, oh,
- 26:08you're a hand that for me to wear. You don't have no clothes for
- 26:11me to wear. And I'm young, So if I'm young, I may
- 26:18not want to dress a certain style that this person is wearing. You know,
- 26:23like nothing in a mall. Nothing was in a mall but actually Stewart,
- 26:27Yeah that was you know, side sports teams, you know, and
- 26:33it was all people clothes, yes, all people closed exactly. So you
- 26:37gotta think about me in my twenties and I'm like, I had this baby,
- 26:42you know, I gained this weight. I'm not you know, I
- 26:45can't put on this anymore. It doesn't fit you know, what am I
- 26:51going to do? And I don't want to dress like exactly I'm sure.
- 26:56So the stuff is actually Stuart's a tall yeah, yeah, so it's not
- 27:04fit me the way I wanted to be to fit so back, So in
- 27:08two thousand and sixteen, I stepped out on't say they By the end,
- 27:11I got my degree in everything, but I didn't get my degree in fashion
- 27:15like I got excepted the Clark for fashion Merchandise and I ended up not going
- 27:19on and going into the Air Force, but it still was in the back
- 27:23of my head, right. So in two thousand and sixteen and I'm like,
- 27:29I'm gonna sell my own clothes, and about my own clothes, I'm
- 27:33gonna find the vendors. I'm about to stud these clothes. And it took
- 27:40off. You hear me, yes off, And I was like, oh,
- 27:48I didn't know. It's a need. You have to find a need.
- 27:51It was a need, you know, And even them, I want
- 27:55my breaking Border store because even them when you're going to them all what you
- 28:00gotta um and what else that Charlotte Ruth Store or Forever twenty one. But
- 28:07that's for you, that's for the young and hip. I guess you can
- 28:12call them always steel basic. Yeah it is, and it ain't nothing that
- 28:21would appeal to it. Don't appeal to me because I don't. I don't
- 28:25be knowing half that stuff that's in there. And I'll be like, okay,
- 28:26you know what, I'm ready to go. I ain't seen nothing in
- 28:29here that I like or that I want exactly exactly, so Neil, so
- 28:36Neil, it's like you want to go. And so it's cool to get
- 28:40stuff online, you know online, but how long it is gonna take the
- 28:44shield? That's the other said. Yeah, yeah, you know it's fast.
- 28:51My shipping is real fast. I ship out the next day, so
- 28:55yes, and you're gonna get your stuff, you know, and you're gonna
- 28:57have something trendy. You want to have something flirty. I feel clothes that
- 29:03are for women that's going out to brunch womens and seen them, yes,
- 29:12those little typophost that I fell. You know, it's always been a passion
- 29:18for me. So I actually had someone, um, I actually stout someone
- 29:22and I was giving them encouragement, giving them confidence as I was selling them
- 29:30m and I was like, oh dang. You know, she was like,
- 29:36I can't stop looking at these pictures and I look so good. I
- 29:40love what I have one And you know that that also goes hand in the
- 29:45hands empowered me. Yes, it's the experience all the way around. Yes,
- 29:53yes, you get the whole thing. And if you you're not experiencing
- 30:00it, you missing out because it's the whole experience, everything about what you
- 30:07do, down to starting these businesses because that's what they are, from the
- 30:14passion that you had that led to all of this. It's the experience of
- 30:18the more you pour in, the more you receive back. And you stepped
- 30:22out on faith and you started them and that's where it began. And yeah,
- 30:29it's entrepreneurship, especially for black women. It's not always the easiest thing
- 30:33to do because you have so many You have that self doubt talk with yourself
- 30:40every day because I know I have it with myself. You know, are
- 30:44people gonna pay attention to what I gotta say? Are people going to allow
- 30:48me to service them and the way that I want to be able to service
- 30:52them, you know, like with my publishing company, my goal is to
- 30:59allow people people to tell their story without me editing it and changing it to
- 31:03sensationalize their story, because that's not what it's about. Because you work with
- 31:07some editors, they want to tell you to tell to tell its story so
- 31:11that it's sensationalized for the money. It's not for the money. It's for
- 31:17them to be able to heal from whatever they need to share and they get
- 31:21to tell the authentic story of who they are and see within themselves what it
- 31:26is that other people saw or see in them, which is basically what you
- 31:30did for me. You saw something for me that has opened this door,
- 31:37and that's what I want for my clients when I work with them on publishing
- 31:41their books. And that has been the gift of service for me to give
- 31:47to them because I'm fulfilled just by working with them, and they don't understand
- 31:52how much for fulfillment that I get from being in the space with them as
- 31:56well. Yoff, you're helping someone being to get their dreams out there.
- 32:01You know. It's a lot of people that want to become authors need one
- 32:07of them. As far as like me having my own book. You know.
- 32:09Yeah, I'm gonna talk to you soon. You know, you help
- 32:15make people dreams come true. Yes, Like, I'm working with a client
- 32:22now and she had an idea and I'm like, okay, well we can
- 32:28go with that. You know, just let me know when you're ready to
- 32:30get started. However you want to tell your story, that's how we're gonna
- 32:34tell it. Don't be thinking that. I'm gonna tell you no, don't
- 32:37put that in there because I didn't go through the experience. So since I
- 32:40didn't go through that experience, I don't want you to change it because you
- 32:45feel like it's gonna bother me. That's your experience. I don't get to
- 32:49tell you you didn't experience you didn't feel that at all, because what you
- 32:52felt is genuine. That's your experience. You put it down on paper and
- 32:58we will make sure that it is structure, really sound so that your story
- 33:01flows. But I'm not changing anything like that. I might change the spelling
- 33:06of a word because it's misspelled, but other than that, I'm not changing
- 33:09anything because that is the authentic version of yourself. And whatever happened. If
- 33:15you the villain in somebody's story, so be it. You the villain in
- 33:19that story. That's the role you played at that time. And that's why
- 33:22I tell people. I know, I'm the villain in somebody's story, and
- 33:24that's okay because that's what I meant to them at that time. Now have
- 33:29I grown from that time in that space, yes, of course, But
- 33:31that's what I played in their story, and I want them to tell it
- 33:35how I played that role, because that's what I did for them. I
- 33:38was the villain in their story. Whether they said something that I didn't agree
- 33:43with, or they did something that I didn't agree with. Whatever, that's
- 33:47the story. We're gonna roll with it, you know. But you know,
- 33:52your gift, your power, your passion, your love for everything thing,
- 34:00it's truly connected to the core of who you are. And I am
- 34:04honored and grateful that I get to share the space with you. You know,
- 34:09we missed each other when I was down in Myrtle Beach, you know,
- 34:14because we were in passing. But you know, I still am honored
- 34:19for the time in the space and the opportunity because just that small thing that
- 34:24you open that door for me to share that space, and I truly,
- 34:30truly was terrified to even be part of that because I'm like, these women
- 34:36are truly established, they know where they're going, they know what they got
- 34:39going on. Whether it was true or not, it was the way that
- 34:44it was presented, you know, And it was like, Okay, do
- 34:46I even belong in this space? And yeah, I know, you tell
- 34:52me like that's that's how I was because I had never ever done anything like
- 34:58that, and so it was like, Okay, guy, I don't know
- 35:00if I'm even supposed to be in this space, because I'm telling you I
- 35:04was literally and you own the room. I don't care who in the space,
- 35:08okay, because I don't you own the room like it was meant to
- 35:14be there. And so I was like, after it was all said and
- 35:19done, I was like, Lord, I thank you for that moment.
- 35:22I thank you for that opportunity. And I want to make sure that whatever
- 35:29is extended to me, I extended to somebody else. And I also want
- 35:34you to know, like I'm gonna keep saying it and it's probably gonna get
- 35:37on your nerves. However, I'm still so so grateful, and I tell
- 35:40people, like, even before we had this conversation, I would mention how
- 35:45I got started with speaking in public and stuff like this, because had it
- 35:49not been for you, I would not have tried out for that virtual monologue.
- 35:53I was not gonna do that. That monologue had no speaking parts for
- 35:58me, and so I had to come up with the skit because it had
- 36:01to be five minutes. So I'm like, lord, I don't know.
- 36:06You got me doing something else that's outside of my comfort body good and see
- 36:12you you got his podcast, Like I ain't even started the podcast. I'm
- 36:16just sending up here and I'm like, oh my gosh, you've just started
- 36:21the pocas. That is amazing. Girl. Yes, to know where you've
- 36:30met me at three years ago to now, it is a true transformation.
- 36:37So you've been there from step one to where I am now, so you've
- 36:40seen my growth and I can only hope that I have made you proud as
- 36:46a little sister, big sister, because I know I'm older than you,
- 36:50but I'm still small. So therefore, big little sister, Yes, I
- 36:54love you see things like this. I just love you. Know it's and
- 37:01it's not just you that told me this, Like I hear this all the
- 37:07time even with the women that I'm coaching. Whether I started off as a
- 37:13confidence coach, and I'm a personal development coach. Yes, Like it's it's
- 37:20crazy. I have to thank God all the time, you know, because
- 37:25if it's if it wasn't for me being obedient to him, you know,
- 37:30like I wouldn't be touching as many people as I'm touching, right, And
- 37:37even I get to a place that because it was like, do you ever
- 37:42feel I have an impossible syndrome all the time? You know, all the
- 37:47time, Like it was just more what am I about to do? What's
- 37:55next? You know, like he was saying what's next? Yea, And
- 38:00I just got something for camp camp but Rebels something this morning and I was
- 38:05like, oh day. But it's like I don't be knowing, but you
- 38:10never know who's looking at you exactly, You never looking at you, and
- 38:17I don't inspire exactly. Yes, So well remain consistent, Yes, yep,
- 38:31forward, that's what we do. And can you tell the guests that
- 38:37are watching and listening how they can purchase your clothing, how they can get

- 38:53it's a lot of different links, like a lot of different things.

- 40:32add the movement on the Yep, you gotta gotta add the movement. And
- 40:37hey girl, see I mean hub when I was in Myrtle Beach. Yeah,
- 40:45yes, that is my sister, my mentor. I would not be
- 40:50anything without her as well. That's why I say it has been a true
- 40:54pleasure to meet these women and be in these spaces because I have been filed
- 41:04more than once, and anytime I run on empty, I know where I
- 41:07can go to be fieled. You know, I lost my mom last Thursday.
- 41:15It's been a week today, and we buried her yesterday and what we
- 41:19had her services today. So I'm here to do this show today because my
- 41:25mama loved the podcast, honey. She she had her all. We did
- 41:30her honorary show and so she talked about telepathy and everything. But she loved
- 41:37this show. She loved the podcast, and so anytime I'd be like Mommy
- 41:42and I gotta do my podcast, she would be like, Okay, We'll
- 41:45bring your laptop of that thing you got, so that I can watch it,
- 41:49you know, And so it's like I made sure today I had a
- 41:53little moment before we really began missing my mom today. But it's an honor
- 42:00to still be able to honor her and and live um through her, because
- 42:07this is it. I'm wearing my blue today for her because blue is her
- 42:10favorite color. So I wanted to make sure that I did this today.
- 42:15Now, probably when I get off of here, I'm probably gonna go have
- 42:19me a moment of crying and just you know, being there because yeah,
- 42:25instead of doing this, I challenge you to journal your spiritual person. I
- 42:37would tell you to journal and pray, you know, yeah, that's what
- 42:40I Yes, Um, I know what crying I mean. You know,
- 42:45I just went to a phonel with to a fram pass and she was my
- 42:49age. Okay, yeah, so I definitely get it. But the thing
- 42:53about it is they would want you to continue to move on and do when
- 42:59you're supposed to be doing, like yeah, continue to make her proud,
- 43:04like definitely, and you're doing an amazing job. Well thank you, even
- 43:08for you too. I didn't even think that we were still gonna do this
- 43:12when I saw that you posted that she passed away. I'm just gonna be
- 43:15honest, because you know, sometimes we may need that time to have a
- 43:21moment, you know. So so definitely I get it. And I thought
- 43:28about not doing the show today, but I knew my mama was gonna be
- 43:34somewhere. Said if you don't get your butt up and go do that podcast,
- 43:37you can think about me after it's over. End up, but you
- 43:40gonna get up. But I do definitely journal. I do pray, you
- 43:45know, and I pray for the endurance to make sure that I was there
- 43:49with her through her final moments and her final breath. And I did that,
- 43:53and I'm grateful for that moment. I'm grateful for these these memories that
- 43:59I created with her, um and so I'm I'm dedicating this show today to
- 44:05her memory and everything. Yes, so you, I'm grateful that you shared
- 44:09this moment with me. And then you got your your turk cards nails,
- 44:14but they still go in the family of Blue Blue, Yes, you know,
- 44:21Yes, so she is with us, and I'm grateful for that.
- 44:25You know, you definitely have to come back again to be on the show.
- 44:30I don't know what we'll talk about then, but I always come up
- 44:32with a good topic and you want to talk aboutneurship. Okay, okay,
- 44:40okay, because that's no joke. You got to be all willed to and
- 44:47if you ain't ready to put in the work, you will quit within the
- 44:52first thirty days, I promise you, if you're not determined to make it
- 44:57what you set forth to do, because it's it's not for the week and
- 45:00it's not for the faint of heart to be in an entrepreneur And most people
- 45:05quit after even the first year when they don't see they go into it.
- 45:08I think a lot of them go into it because they want that money,
- 45:12but they don't go into it the gift of service, because that's what you
- 45:15are offering to people, is a service. And if you're not willing to
- 45:20set aside to give good customer service, good merchandise, good you know whatever,
- 45:27your business ain't gonna last anyway. But if you are, yes,
- 45:31I'm gonna do. I am about to do a business etiquette class. Oh
- 45:37please do. I am doing it in August. I am getting okay up
- 45:42right now? Okay, we need okay, when I say that us us
- 45:50we yeah, people, yes, I'm a bus are not good at business
- 45:57and we need that changed, you know, Yes, we have to come
- 46:04correct with our other people, with our people. Yes, you cannot be
- 46:08in money, but you're giving mediocre service exactly. No, you got an
- 46:15attitude because I'm asking you questions about what it is that you are offering.
- 46:20Just because you thinking that it's good and feel that it's good doesn't mean that
- 46:22I'm gonna feel that way. You gotta be able to offer it in a
- 46:28way that I'm gonna think just as much about it as anything. And if
- 46:31you're not able to provide that for me, then I'm not gonna be willing
- 46:35to do business with you. And if you make a mistake, own up
- 46:37to your mistake and correct. But don't be like, well, you ain't
- 46:42even got a shot with me, You ain't even got I. Don't do
- 46:45that. Don't do that, because then you mad because people don't say,
- 46:47oh, well you don't do no business with her because she got a nasty
- 46:52attitude. But you're mad because that's what you presented to them. You know
- 46:57you presented that, and that's the feedback that you got. So you're gonna
- 47:01have to adjust yourself, adjust your attitude and fix it and deliver what you
- 47:07want people to deliver to you and we want to do that. Don't be
- 47:10coming over here trying to get nobody money exactly, and you have to like,
- 47:15let's say you made a mistake. You like you said, you gotta
- 47:17own up to it. You know, people make mistakes all the time.
- 47:22Like if I say it's something about some shipping or what I'm gonna eat it.
- 47:25You know I'm going to eat it. You have to own up to
- 47:29what happened, you know, if you you got to do what you're supposed
- 47:32to do and the follow up, yes, you get your item, it's
- 47:37your item the way you wanted it to look exactly, you know, like
- 47:40I want to see it, you know, like exactly where's the customer service
- 47:45said, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go shop with harle I'm gonna make
- 47:47sac It's not that complicated, but I swear we sometimes make it hard for
- 47:57people to want to do business with us because we have that nasty attitude that
- 48:04you gotta you I can't give you no discount you got and I'm like you
- 48:09ain't gotta be like dad, like stop that you the price? If I
- 48:15don't check on my website, what like I'm asking the posts exactly, you
- 48:22know, like they've be doing the most of nothing, and then they want
- 48:25to like if you if I'm asking you how much that T shirt is?
- 48:29Oh, well, inbox me. I don't want the T shirt no more
- 48:32because I gotta inbox you. When you could have told me it was ten
- 48:35dollars or if it's fifteen dollars, you could have told me that the price
- 48:37ain't gonna change, no different if you posted on the comments or you posted
- 48:43in the messenger, it's the same price. So why we gotta go there
- 48:45exactly? Like, I don't know, but you know we look, we
- 48:51already don't started talking about this business. And no, no, we got
- 48:53to do a whole other series. I'm on the look. Look next time,
- 48:59next time. On believement of John Aycounticle. Yes, yes, yes,
- 49:04we definitely gonna have to do that. But I am so grateful that
- 49:07you shared this moment with me. Um, you definitely have to come back
- 49:13and under this video once it does go lit, because it's gonna end.
- 49:16We're gonna share and I'll make sure that we add your contacts and your links
- 49:22and everything to where people can contact you. And you're gonna come back because
- 49:29it's necessary, it is, and we just had so much fun, like
- 49:34this was good? Did John have a good time? Listen? They love
- 49:38us and it was just amazing, So did it yes? So as I
- 49:45always end all of my shows like this man Joe business and stay out of
- 49:51guys. The only thing he needs you to do is be obedient to what
- 49:53he's called you to do. He don't need you to do nothing else but
- 49:57that. And as always, I love you guys and think thank you for
- 50:00tuning in. My next show is gonna be July the Night, so make
- 50:05sure you tune in because you definitely don't want to miss Believe in the Journey
- 50:07podcast. Love you fine, que I Wonder
