side hustle or second job?

Not looking for sympathy, just explaining my situation: Due to compulsive gambling I have recently found myself in $6000 of credit card debt (online casinos). I am exceptionally fortunate and have never had debt before except for paying back my student loans from university which I have been able to comfortably pay. until now obviously. Now all of my money goes to bills, and paying down my credit card debt. Before anyone asks. Yes, this I’ve stopped gambling. Could a side hustle help me pay this off or would it be more reasonable to just look into getting a second job?
