- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Happy Halloween, everybody. It's October 1st. We're big Halloween fans
- 0:06Speaker 2: over here. We love October.
- 0:07Speaker 3: We made it. Good morning.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Thank you for starting your day with us. Ricky's got
- 0:10Speaker 2: those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 0:13Speaker 4: I was not expecting the happy Halloween after the jingle
- 0:16Speaker 4: ball jingles.
- 0:17Speaker 1: So I got very confused. Happy Thanksgiving, too.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Let's throw that one in.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Time Magazine's 100 Next list is out. This list is
- 0:26Speaker 4: of the most influential rising stars and leaders. Other celebrities
- 0:30Speaker 4: share their thoughts on those who have made the list
- 0:33Speaker 4: with tributes to them. So some of the music honorees
- 0:35Speaker 4: are Ray, Alex Warren, Sombra, Megan Maroney, and Pink Panthers,
- 0:40Speaker 4: who have all been selected in different categories from.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Phenoms to innovators. When it comes to other.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Categories, there's also actress Joey King on there, comedian Drewski,
- 0:50Speaker 4: SNL star Ashley Padilla, and a bunch more.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Congrats to all of them.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Obviously, very well-known people who are doing a lot of
- 0:59Speaker 4: different things outside of their realm.
- 1:02Speaker 1: To kind of make impacts across the board.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Regal Cinemas in Green Hills is doing a horror film
- 1:09Speaker 4: festival this weekend. National Horror Film Festival is a free festival.
- 1:12Speaker 4: It's happening Saturday and Sunday, starting at 11 a.m.
- 1:15Speaker 1: On both days.
- 1:16Speaker 4: You can check out short films, shop local vendors, and
- 1:19Speaker 4: take part in costume contests. It is an all-ages event,
- 1:23Speaker 4: but keep in mind that you've got to be careful
- 1:25Speaker 4: about what you're Movies you pick to watch because obviously
- 1:28Speaker 4: viewer discretion is advised, as they say in the movie biz.
- 1:32Speaker 4: And more info on this is on their Instagram at
- 1:35Speaker 4: National Horror Fest. Brock, they're making more candy corn fragrance.
- 1:42Speaker 3: More.
- 1:42Speaker 1: It's sold out.
- 1:44Speaker 4: They went crazy for this ode to candy corn fragrance
- 1:48Speaker 4: that they made.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So now they're dropping a second batch.
- 1:51Speaker 4: You can buy it for $ 22 at candycornseason.com today.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I love candy corn. I don't know that I want
- 1:58Speaker 1: to smell like candy corn. I don't know what it
- 2:00Speaker 1: smells like now that I think about it.
- 2:02Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You need to know.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Appreciate you, Ricky. We've got a couple of our Jingle
- 2:07Speaker 2: Ball artists on the way, like Nickelback and Teddy Swims. Again,
- 2:11Speaker 2: the Capital One cardholder presale is live now until 10 a.m. today.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So if you've got that Capital One card in your wallet,
- 2:18Speaker 2: jump on it at 1075theriver. com slash Capital One. Also, Preds
- 2:22Speaker 2: tickets on the way for their game this Saturday against
- 2:24Speaker 2: the Dallas Stars. If you want those, they're on the
- 2:26Speaker 2: way within 10 for the first caller.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Good morning, Justin and White House. How are you, buddy?
- 2:34Speaker 3: Oh, I'm lovely.
- 2:34Speaker 4: How are you?
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm good. We're all good. It's October 1st. We love
- 2:38Speaker 2: the fall. We love spooky season, as Ricky says. Do
- 2:42Speaker 2: you get into it? Do you have any decorations or
- 2:44Speaker 2: anything at this point?
- 2:45Speaker 5: I have one of those little $ 2 mini pumpkins from Kroger.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Oh, you're doing it, buddy.
- 2:49Speaker 5: That's about as much as you're.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Going to get from me.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Hey, it's something.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I respect it.
- 2:55Speaker 5: It is something. The kids grew out of that phase.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I hate that. Yeah.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what happened. That's what high school does.
- 3:03Speaker 5: That's what high school does to little kids.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I have a whole, like, setup on my desk of
- 3:08Speaker 4: Halloween little items. I have, like, a little Halloween Christmas
- 3:11Speaker 4: tree and a sign that says Candy Corn Queen and
- 3:14Speaker 4: a tiny little pumpkin. And I'm old. I'm 34. You
- 3:18Speaker 4: never grow out of Halloween.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Gosh.
- 3:20Speaker 6: 34?
- 3:20Speaker 5: That's old, huh?
- 3:21Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't want to tell you how old I am. Yeah.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well, we all know that Kevin's the oldest here, so...
- 3:28Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Justin might have him to beat with his high school kids.
- 3:32Speaker 5: I'm 44.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Okay, you're a couple years older than I am, so
- 3:34Speaker 2: we're right there in the same pocket.
- 3:36Speaker 4: I knew it.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I think you should just surprise your kids and say,
- 3:39Speaker 2: get in the car. Don't tell them where you're going.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Go to a pumpkin patch.
- 3:41Speaker 7: I'm going to tell them, get in the car.
- 3:42Speaker 3: We're going to a hockey game this weekend.
- 3:44Speaker 5: That's what I'm going.
- 3:45Speaker 3: To tell them.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Okay, Justin's dying to hear if he's the first caller
- 3:49Speaker 1: of the day.
- 3:49Speaker 2: And I will say, I think we've.
- 3:51Speaker 4: Tortured you enough... You are the first star of the day,
- 3:54Speaker 4: and you are getting.
- 3:55Speaker 6: These tickets this weekend to see the Dallas vs.
- 3:58Speaker 1: The Dallas Stars.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Thank you very much, Ricky. I appreciate it.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 4:02Speaker 2: God, you got to a point where you're like, enough
- 4:04Speaker 2: Halloween talk. I don't like Halloween. Enough Halloween.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Let's talk about dropping the puck.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Hey, you know, it's spooky season, but it's hockey season, too,
- 4:13Speaker 1: so we get it.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Yes, it is.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yes, it is.
- 4:16Speaker 2: All right, buddy, we're going to put you on hold,
- 4:17Speaker 2: get all your info, take your kids to a pumpkin patch,
- 4:20Speaker 2: and have fun at the game.
- 4:21Speaker 6: That works for me.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Thank you, guys. Have a good day. You too, man. God,
- 4:24Speaker 2: it breaks my heart to think about my kids outgrowing
- 4:26Speaker 2: Halloween and Christmas.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But they may never, because I never did.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 1: It's always, well, I outgrew Christmas, but I love Halloween.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Can you still get away with trick-or-treating, Ricky, if you
- 4:36Speaker 2: put on like a little costume?
- 4:37Speaker 4: Oh, you're so funny because Ricky's so short.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And Kevin's so old.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It's too early for this.
- 4:42Speaker 2: It's too early for this.
- 4:43Speaker 4: We're not getting into it yet.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning. Oh, the onion
- 4:49Speaker 2: that is Zachary Woodward. It's 107.5, the river. You got layers.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Every day we peel back a new layer on this guy,
- 4:56Speaker 2: and he said that he learned something about himself yesterday.
- 4:59Speaker 8: My boyfriend is traveling for work, and I learn something
- 5:01Speaker 8: about myself when I'm home alone.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I don't know if I'm the only one that does this. Oh,
- 5:06Speaker 2: I bet you are. We're going to find out what
- 5:08Speaker 2: it is right after Dominic Fakes.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:12Speaker 4: You should be constantly learning about yourself. That's the point
- 5:15Speaker 4: of life, okay? It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the
- 5:17Speaker 4: morning on 107.5 The River. Zach is continuously learning new
- 5:22Speaker 4: things about himself, as Kevin calls him.
- 5:25Speaker 1: He's kind of like an onion.
- 5:26Speaker 3: He's our onion.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Many layers.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Many layers.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Sometimes stinky. He forgets to put deodorant on.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I put on deodorant today.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Wow, proud of you.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 5:33Speaker 4: You just learned something about yourself with your boyfriend not
- 5:36Speaker 4: around right now.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:38Speaker 4: So you're alone in the home. What did you learn?
- 5:40Speaker 8: So, yeah, my boyfriend's traveling for work, and I learned that.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I'm a complete and utter slob when I'm alone.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Yep, that checks out.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Literally, he left on.
- 5:49Speaker 8: Monday and I had not done laundry, dishes, vacuumed, literally
- 5:54Speaker 8: nothing all week long. So last night I was walking
- 5:56Speaker 8: around my house and I.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Was like, this place is a disaster.
- 6:01Speaker 8: So I'm like so anxious and stressed out about how
- 6:04Speaker 8: much I have to clean today before he comes home.
- 6:07Speaker 6: Because he comes home like this afternoon. So I am
- 6:11Speaker 6: the person that waits until last minute to clean to
- 6:14Speaker 6: make it look like I kept up with the house
- 6:16Speaker 6: the whole time that he was gone.
- 6:18Speaker 2: And it's so bad. That's horrifying.
- 6:20Speaker 1: You're going to have a rough afternoon.
- 6:22Speaker 2: A movie montage where you're just spinning around the house,
- 6:24Speaker 2: you know, shoving things in closets and stuff. Who normally
- 6:28Speaker 2: does all that stuff on.
- 6:29Speaker 1: A regular basis?
- 6:30Speaker 8: David does laundry, but I usually do keep it clean
- 6:33Speaker 8: mostly because he's there and like there's other people looking
- 6:35Speaker 8: at my mess.
- 6:36Speaker 4: David is also way more, what's the right word for this?
- 6:42Speaker 4: Not strategic, but like specific, I guess you could say.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:46Speaker 4: When it comes to cleaning things and making sure that
- 6:48Speaker 4: things are like where they need to be.
- 6:49Speaker 2: He is very type A.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Zach is not necessarily dirty, but a little messier.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I'm very messy. Sounds like you're a little dirty too.
- 6:58Speaker 2: The dishes are in the sink. The picture you're painting
- 7:00Speaker 2: over there. They're in the sink. They're spread all over
- 7:04Speaker 2: the house.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Well, that's good. That's something.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I am shocked.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Kevin is crawling out of his skin right now because
- 7:11Speaker 4: Kevin likes everything neat.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And clean himself. Yeah. I am shocked that your car
- 7:15Speaker 2: is so clean, though. That's like the little sanctuary.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It's not, though.
- 7:18Speaker 4: He literally lies.
- 7:19Speaker 2: There's nothing in my car.
- 7:20Speaker 4: Okay, you literally lie because the amount of times that
- 7:23Speaker 4: we have opened your trunk and there is just, it's
- 7:25Speaker 4: just like the same scene that you're talking about when
- 7:28Speaker 4: somebody's running around and shoving everything. in the one closet.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you put it in the trunk.
- 7:31Speaker 4: If you've ever watched Friends and how Monica has the
- 7:34Speaker 4: closet that nobody opens, that is his trunk in his car.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yeah, no one can see it. Put it in the trunk.
- 7:39Speaker 2: It's clean.
- 7:40Speaker 4: It looks clean, but there's so much garbage in the trunk.
- 7:43Speaker 2: See, Ricky, on the other hand, has a messy trunk,
- 7:45Speaker 2: a messy backseat, a messy front seat.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Oh, my car is a disaster.
- 7:49Speaker 2: She's putting it all out there.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 8: So I will have a very, very busy afternoon today
- 7:53Speaker 8: doing everything to make it look like I was taking
- 7:56Speaker 8: care of the house.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Good luck to you, sir. Thank you. Thoughts and prayers.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Here we go. Here we go.
- 8:03Speaker 2: October 1st. Thank you for starting your Thursday with us, friends.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Ricky Sanchez has those three things presented by Mark Spain
- 8:09Speaker 2: Real Estate.
- 8:10Speaker 4: Tate McRae launched a mysterious new account called Tate by
- 8:13Speaker 4: TM yesterday. She posted a teaser picture of a film clapperboard,
- 8:18Speaker 4: and it said Tate 01 alongside rocks and a body
- 8:22Speaker 4: of water. The linked sign-up page says that the project
- 8:25Speaker 4: is coming soon. Fans have connected the teaser to trademark
- 8:28Speaker 4: filings for Tate. and Tate 01, which cover beauty products,
- 8:32Speaker 4: including fragrances, perfume, body mist, skincare, and candles. Some fans
- 8:38Speaker 4: think that she's actually going to announce something today, which
- 8:40Speaker 4: could be this, because she had a lot of imagery
- 8:43Speaker 4: over the summer when she performed at festivals that had 10.1,
- 8:47Speaker 4: and today is.
- 8:48Speaker 2: October 1st, 10.1.
- 8:50Speaker 4: So we will have to wait and see if she
- 8:52Speaker 4: announces it today. I will keep you posted on what's
- 8:55Speaker 4: coming next. Metro Public Health is offering free flu shots.
- 9:00Speaker 1: On Tuesday, October 6th.
- 9:01Speaker 4: You can get them at Historic Metro Courthouse from 3
- 9:04Speaker 4: to 6.30 p.m. No appointment or insurance is needed for this. Obviously,
- 9:10Speaker 4: it's a great way to get your flu shot so
- 9:11Speaker 4: you don't get sick and you don't make other people
- 9:13Speaker 4: sick as well. If you miss them on the 6th,
- 9:15Speaker 4: flu shots will be available for free at Metro Public
- 9:18Speaker 4: Health Department clinics starting on the 20th.
- 9:21Speaker 1: All throughout flu season, by the way.
- 9:24Speaker 4: And TikTok has a new spread they're obsessed with.
- 9:27Speaker 1: It's called peanut butter. Peanut butter.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Peanut butter.
- 9:31Speaker 4: So it's a blend of white beans, the bean and
- 9:34Speaker 4: the peanut, and powdered peanut butter. There's a fitness influencer.
- 9:40Speaker 4: He's saying that it's a great fiber hack. Social media
- 9:44Speaker 4: obviously took it and ran with it, started making it themselves.
- 9:47Speaker 4: And they say it tastes a lot like actual peanut butter,
- 9:49Speaker 4: which does not sound convincing to me. But if you
- 9:53Speaker 4: want to try it, you just blend white beans with
- 9:55Speaker 4: peanut powder and a little bit of sweetener in order
- 9:58Speaker 4: to get the flavor and texture.
- 10:00Speaker 1: That you'd like. Try it out, I guess. It sounds
- 10:03Speaker 1: horrible to me.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Oh, no, it sounds good to me. I love powdered
- 10:06Speaker 2: peanut butter, by the way. That's what I have at
- 10:07Speaker 2: my house.
- 10:08Speaker 1: What a weird thing.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Well, I put it in smoothies and stuff, and it's great.
- 10:11Speaker 2: It's great. It's great, and this sounds even better.
- 10:14Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Need to know.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Thanks for teaching me about peanut butter, Ricky. We're going
- 10:20Speaker 2: to play Bruno Mars here, and then we are going
- 10:21Speaker 2: to learn even more stuff together. It is time for
- 10:24Speaker 2: Zach's Facts, three and a half minutes away on the river.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 10:30Speaker 4: Are you ready, Zachy?
- 10:31Speaker 1: I'm ready, Kathy.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Class is in session.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 10:39Speaker 2: On 107.5 The River.
- 10:40Speaker 8: You guys, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. So I
- 10:44Speaker 8: do want to bring some light to it and just
- 10:46Speaker 8: let you guys know that since the very beginning of
- 10:48Speaker 8: us celebrating Awareness Month back in 1985 when it started, U.S.
- 10:53Speaker 8: breast cancer death rates have declined by 44% due to
- 10:57Speaker 8: better treatments and early screening. So here's just your reminder
- 11:01Speaker 8: to go get screened and just.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Listen to your body. That's a great fact. Thank you, Zach.
- 11:05Speaker 2: That's uplifting. We appreciate that. Yeah, there's your fact of
- 11:08Speaker 2: the day.
- 11:08Speaker 3: 107.5 The River. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 11:12Speaker 1: What weird new thing have you learned?
- 11:16Speaker 4: It's 107.5 The River. Zach does Zach's Facts every day.
- 11:20Speaker 4: You learn something kind of random every day from him.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And sometimes we learn something by chance. I learned something recently.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I learned why we call it footage when we're talking
- 11:30Speaker 1: about film.
- 11:31Speaker 2: It kind of blew both of our minds. I don't
- 11:34Speaker 2: know that at all. I don't know the origin of footage.
- 11:36Speaker 2: That's interesting.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Hold on to that.
- 11:37Speaker 4: You're going to learn.
- 11:38Speaker 2: All right, we're going to get that. I've got one, too,
- 11:40Speaker 2: also about movies. And one of our Jingle Ball artists,
- 11:44Speaker 2: Stella Lefty, will hear her right after Ariana Grande on
- 11:47Speaker 2: the river.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Public on sale to see her, Stella Lefty, and the
- 11:53Speaker 2: rest of our Jingle Ball lineup tomorrow noon. These tickets
- 11:57Speaker 2: are available for everybody. They're going to go fast. Get them. 1075theriver. com.
- 12:02Speaker 2: But right now, we are sharing interesting tidbits, little facts.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Zach does Zach's Facts every day at 710. Ricky said
- 12:09Speaker 2: that she recently learned what the word footage means. Can
- 12:12Speaker 2: I guess about footage before you give the origin? I
- 12:15Speaker 2: want to say it has something to do with Quentin Tarantino.
- 12:18Speaker 2: It probably predates him, but he's in the movie business.
- 12:21Speaker 2: He's into feet. I don't know. It just sounds like
- 12:22Speaker 2: something he would have.
- 12:25Speaker 4: That is a thing that a lot of people say.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Oh, he is.
- 12:27Speaker 1: He has like a foot thing.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 4: But that is not where this comes from. It does
- 12:32Speaker 4: predate him. So it's called footage because it used to
- 12:36Speaker 4: literally be sold by the foot, like the linear foot. Oh.
- 12:41Speaker 4: So they started calling it footage because the film, when
- 12:44Speaker 4: you spread it out, is by foot. Kind of crazy.
- 12:48Speaker 4: Didn't really think about it until the other day. Zach
- 12:50Speaker 4: and I were sitting outside the studio and some reason,
- 12:53Speaker 4: I don't know why we started talking about footage of something.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You brought it up. You were like, what does footage
- 12:58Speaker 2: have to do with film?
- 12:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like, I don't understand where that comes from. Like,
- 13:02Speaker 4: why do we call it footage when we're talking about films?
- 13:05Speaker 2: You want to know something even more wild?
- 13:07Speaker 8: When I looked it up, it says that a standard
- 13:09Speaker 8: film runs at 90 feet per second. So one 10
- 13:12Speaker 8: minute scene takes up to like 900 feet of physical reel.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Crazy, right? Those old like projectionists. That was, that was
- 13:20Speaker 2: quite a job. I know there's still some out there,
- 13:21Speaker 2: but that's, that's not an easy job. I wonder if
- 13:23Speaker 2: that word is what got Quentin Tarantino into the movie business.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Can we stop going back to Quentin Tarantino and his
- 13:28Speaker 4: weird foot thing that he's got going on?
- 13:30Speaker 2: What is happening? I do have something.
- 13:32Speaker 1: What did you learn, Kevin?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Also movie related because I had to look this up
- 13:35Speaker 2: with my kids the other day. Did you guys know
- 13:36Speaker 2: that the little lamp in the Pixar movie that flattens
- 13:39Speaker 2: out the eye, he has a name?
- 13:40Speaker 3: No.
- 13:41Speaker 2: What's his name? Is it Lampy? No, it's not Lampy.
- 13:43Speaker 2: It's Luxo Jr.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Where the heck did that come from?
- 13:48Speaker 4: And where's Luxo Sr.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Well, I guess one of the animators at Pixar, one
- 13:52Speaker 2: of the early folks at Pixar, he had a desk
- 13:54Speaker 2: lamp and the brand was Luxo.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Oh, so that's Luxo Senior. I guess. And that Luxo
- 13:59Speaker 1: Junior was the one that they created?
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 2: So that little lamp that flattens out the eyes, his
- 14:03Speaker 2: name is Luxo Junior.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Weird.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The more you know. The more you know. Now we know. Yeah,
- 14:08Speaker 2: we mentioned it earlier, but again, that Capital One cardholder
- 14:11Speaker 2: presale ends at 10 a.m. this morning, and our Jingle
- 14:13Speaker 2: Ball tickets go on sale for everybody tomorrow at noon.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Get them before they're gone.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.

- 14:51Speaker 3: That is it.
- 14:52Speaker 2: It's two different songs. One second of one song. One
- 14:55Speaker 2: second of another song. If you can identify both songs,
- 14:57Speaker 2: and they are all Jingle Ball artists. That's why we're
- 14:59Speaker 2: calling it two seconds of Jingle Ball. You call us.

- 15:04Speaker 2: these tickets, they go on sale to everybody. The public
- 15:07Speaker 2: on sale is tomorrow at noon. You're going to want
- 15:09Speaker 2: to get them before they go. But here we go.
- 15:12Speaker 2: If you know these two songs, you call 615-737-9107. Today's
- 15:17Speaker 2: audio clue. Let's go.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I don't want to.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Let's go. I don't want to.
- 15:26Speaker 3: 615-737-9107.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Two seconds of Jingle Ball. It's very short. We'll play
- 15:29Speaker 2: it one more time, and then it's time for you
- 15:31Speaker 2: to call and play.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 15:34Speaker 2: I don't want to. Let's do it. December 17th, Bridgestone Arena.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Jingle Ball is tapping.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Playing next, giving away the tickets on the river.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 15:45Speaker 4: 107.5, the river's Jingle Ball presented by Capital One. It
- 15:49Speaker 4: is happening in December at Bridgestone Arena. We are so excited.
- 15:53Speaker 4: We cannot wait.
- 15:54Speaker 2: We're giving away.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Tickets right now with Kevin Mano's Game of the Day.
- 15:56Speaker 1: We're playing two seconds of Jingle Ball.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Kelsey in Gallatin is on the line right now. Good morning, Kelsey.
- 16:03Speaker 8: Good morning.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Hi.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I know we're talking about Jingle Ball on the holidays,
- 16:07Speaker 2: but do you have fall fever like we do now
- 16:10Speaker 2: that it's officially October 1st?
- 16:12Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Well, happy Halloween to you. We're going to play the
- 16:15Speaker 2: audio clue for you one more time. The game this
- 16:17Speaker 2: week is two seconds of Jingle Ball. There are two
- 16:20Speaker 2: of our Jingle Ball artists smushed together in this quick
- 16:22Speaker 2: little clip. If you can identify both songs, you're going
- 16:25Speaker 2: to Jingle Ball. Are you ready?
- 16:27Speaker 8: I'm ready.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Here we go, Kelsey, your clue one more time.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I don't want to.
- 16:32Speaker 2: All right, you got two of them there. Can you
- 16:33Speaker 2: tell us what songs those are?
- 16:34Speaker 5: Um, ooh.
- 16:39Speaker 7: Hillary Duff. Is Hillary Duff the first time clean?
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yes, that is correct.
- 16:46Speaker 5: I don't know the second one.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Oh, no, Kelsey.
- 16:52Speaker 4: We're so sorry, but we appreciate you playing.
- 16:54Speaker 1: The game with us.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Awesome. Thank you. Happy October 1st.
- 17:00Speaker 4: I always feel so bad when they don't get it.
- 17:03Speaker 2: But hey, it's a big ticket. That's the way it works.
- 17:05Speaker 2: George is on the line now. Kelsey didn't get it.
- 17:07Speaker 2: So we turn to you. We'll play the clue for
- 17:09Speaker 2: you one more time. If you can identify these songs,
- 17:11Speaker 2: you're going to Jingle Ball.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Here it is.
- 17:13Speaker 1: George, what are those two songs?
- 17:19Speaker 4: J-Y-T, I wanted you.
- 17:22Speaker 2: No, I'm going to stop you right there, buddy. I'm
- 17:24Speaker 2: going to stop you right there. That is not it.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Oh, no, George.
- 17:27Speaker 7: Okay, man.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Tomorrow.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Okay, try again.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Good luck tomorrow, George. It's not an easy game, guys.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'm telling you. Thank you, George. Bye. We keep moving here.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Jessica in Clarksville. Here's your clue. If you can identify
- 17:40Speaker 2: these songs, you're going to Jingle Ball.
- 17:42Speaker 3: You ready?
- 17:43Speaker 4: I am.
- 17:44Speaker 2: All right, here we go.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 17:45Speaker 1: I don't want to.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Who are they? What are they?
- 17:50Speaker 5: Hillary Duff, Come Clean, and Beach's Edge of the Earth.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Hey!
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yay! Oh my gosh, that took some doing, but we
- 17:58Speaker 2: did it. You're going to Jingle Ball December 17th at
- 18:00Speaker 2: Bridgestone Arena.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yay congrats jessica wow that was a rough one so
- 18:06Speaker 4: you pulled it out thank god we are so happy
- 18:08Speaker 4: for you we can't wait to see you there on
- 18:10Speaker 4: december 17th for our first ever jingle ball thank you
- 18:14Speaker 4: so much of course hang on the line love we
- 18:16Speaker 4: got to get some info from you okay okay three
- 18:19Speaker 4: things you.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Need to know after eight o'clock here on this thursday
- 18:22Speaker 2: morning appreciate you starting your day with us ricky's got
- 18:25Speaker 2: those three things presented by mark spain real.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Estate Andy Cohen is getting slammed for what he's paying
- 18:30Speaker 4: his babysitter. He got called out because he said that
- 18:33Speaker 4: he pays his babysitter $ 30 an hour to take care
- 18:36Speaker 4: of his two kids. And when he was asked by
- 18:39Speaker 4: Page Six at the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame
- 18:41Speaker 4: Awards on Tuesday whether he believes he's underpaying his employee,
- 18:45Speaker 4: he insisted that he checked with his friends on what
- 18:47Speaker 4: they paid, and he said it was comparable to what
- 18:50Speaker 4: they had said. But he did note that when he
- 18:52Speaker 4: started talking about it on the radio is when people
- 18:55Speaker 4: started to tell him, that he's cheap.
- 18:58Speaker 1: So he did add that he's going to.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Start talking to more people about what the going rates are.
- 19:03Speaker 1: We'll see if he changes his mind.
- 19:04Speaker 4: $ 30 an hour to take care of two kids is
- 19:07Speaker 4: a lot of money.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I think so too.
- 19:10Speaker 4: It's a lot of money.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Not like too much, but I think that's fair.
- 19:13Speaker 4: But I thought it was fair. I'm also not a parent.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I'm also not a babysitter anymore. I used to be many,
- 19:18Speaker 4: many years ago. I was a just resident babysitter for
- 19:22Speaker 4: multiple families at one point. And I mean, I was
- 19:25Speaker 4: making $ 10 an hour for.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Two kids, so.
- 19:28Speaker 2: But fun fact, that's how Ricky and Zach met. She
- 19:29Speaker 2: was babysitting him.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yes, and here we are now. It's the start of
- 19:34Speaker 1: spooky season.
- 19:35Speaker 4: But some of you are already thinking about Christmas. So
- 19:39Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you that Spirit Christmas is opening soon.
- 19:42Speaker 4: It's set to open in the Berry Hill area sometime
- 19:45Speaker 4: in November. You'll find it at 27 21 8th avenue
- 19:49Speaker 4: south right next door to the chase spirit christmas is
- 19:52Speaker 4: spirit halloween just for christmas that's exciting yeah you looked
- 19:56Speaker 4: really happy when i said that i'm so over christmas
- 20:00Speaker 4: already The creators of the movie Obsession have announced their
- 20:05Speaker 4: next Christmas.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Their next project. Now I'm thinking about Christmas.
- 20:08Speaker 2: It's fuming.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I feel it in my body. I'm having a visceral reaction.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Come on, Grinch.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Director Curry Baker alongside his longtime collaborator Cooper Tomlinson. They
- 20:20Speaker 4: announced their new film Anything But Ghosts. It's one that
- 20:24Speaker 4: they're actually going to be starring in as well. The
- 20:27Speaker 4: other casting includes Aaron Paul.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Kevin.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Cool.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Aaron Paul's going to be in it. Bryce Dallas Howard
- 20:33Speaker 4: and Violet McGraw. It's a horror comedy. It's going to
- 20:37Speaker 4: center around wannabe ghost hunters finding themselves in a bunch
- 20:40Speaker 4: of chaos. It's hitting theaters May 7th of next year. Obviously,
- 20:44Speaker 4: Obsession was such a huge hit. This seems very different
- 20:48Speaker 4: from that movie, so we'll see how it goes for them.
- 20:51Speaker 4: I'm excited, though, to see them in a different light.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 20:54Speaker 4: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 20:56Speaker 4: need to know.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 20:58Speaker 4: If you have a school mascot that's just kind of
- 21:01Speaker 4: random or maybe really weird or just doesn't make sense,
- 21:05Speaker 4: we want to hear from you.
- 21:07Speaker 1: 615-737-9107.
- 21:09Speaker 4: When I went to college, I went to Pace University
- 21:10Speaker 4: in New York City, which is just a very different
- 21:13Speaker 4: college experience in general. Because we didn't have a lot
- 21:17Speaker 4: of sports. We had a satellite campus upstate where they
- 21:21Speaker 4: had all the sports teams. But I was in New
- 21:23Speaker 4: York City, so we didn't have any of it. But
- 21:25Speaker 4: our mascot was named T-Bone.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Like a steak? His name was T-Bone. Because we were
- 21:33Speaker 1: the pace setters.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Setters?
- 21:36Speaker 1: Hold on.
- 21:37Speaker 2: How does that make sense? What are you talking about?
- 21:40Speaker 1: They're dogs.
- 21:43Speaker 2: But why a T-Bone?
- 21:44Speaker 1: His name was T-Bone. It didn't make any sense.
- 21:47Speaker 2: No, it doesn't at all. I'm not following his logic
- 21:50Speaker 2: at all.
- 21:50Speaker 1: It makes no sense.
- 21:51Speaker 4: He was just a dog named T-Bone. Because we were
- 21:54Speaker 4: pace setters.
- 21:55Speaker 2: That's weird.
- 21:56Speaker 1: I told you it was weird.
- 21:57Speaker 2: I found a school in Michigan. They're the Nimrods, home
- 22:01Speaker 2: of the Nimrods. Is that where you went, Kevin? There's
- 22:04Speaker 2: a town in Wisconsin called the Cheesemakers. I guess that
- 22:06Speaker 2: makes sense for Wisconsin. Another one in Illinois, the Corn Jerkers.
- 22:12Speaker 4: I don't even know that that was radio appropriate to say.
- 22:14Speaker 2: The hot dogs in Frankfurt, Indiana.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Oh, I want to be the hot dogs.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Me too.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog.
- 22:20Speaker 2: There's a team in Delaware called the Blue Rocks, but
- 22:23Speaker 2: their mascot is Mr. Celery. It's just a guy in
- 22:26Speaker 2: a celery costume.
- 22:29Speaker 8: Honestly, I want to go to a game just to
- 22:32Speaker 8: see the man dancing around in his celery costume.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 22:36Speaker 4: I would love that.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Also on the vegetable train here, the Delta State fighting
- 22:41Speaker 2: okra is a thing. And then the last one I'll
- 22:45Speaker 2: do in Massachusetts, there's this team called the Clockers and
- 22:50Speaker 2: the mascot is just a guy dressed as a clock.
- 22:52Speaker 1: That is phenomenal.
- 22:54Speaker 3: That is, oh, my God.
- 22:55Speaker 4: I don't know if I love the celery mascot or
- 22:57Speaker 4: the clock better.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Celery wins in my book. 615-737-9107. If you have something
- 23:04Speaker 2: unusual at your school, we want to hear.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning. On 107.5 The River.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Chelsea in Nashville, welcome to 107.5 The River.
- 23:11Speaker 4: Tell us your school mascot. Well, it's not mine personally.
- 23:19Speaker 5: I'm a barber, and in fact, my client was telling
- 23:22Speaker 5: me about.
- 23:22Speaker 4: His just yesterday, and I thought it was appropriate for
- 23:25Speaker 4: October 1st.
- 23:26Speaker 8: He grew up in New York in an area.
- 23:28Speaker 5: Called Sleepy Hollow, and his.
- 23:30Speaker 7: Mascot is the Headless Horseman. Yeah, they come riding in
- 23:35Speaker 7: on a horse just like the Headless Horseman, and then
- 23:38Speaker 7: you'll have the football players running out behind them.
- 23:40Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with that.
- 23:42Speaker 7: It is the most cool thing ever.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I love that so much.
- 23:46Speaker 4: As the spooky gal on this show, I am obsessed.
- 23:49Speaker 1: With that idea.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Also, how intimidating.
- 23:51Speaker 4: The Headless Horseman comes out with all the football players
- 23:55Speaker 4: behind him.
- 23:55Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I'll say this.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Just floored.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I couldn't believe it.
- 23:58Speaker 7: I'd be scared to death.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Very cool right now that it's October 1st, you know,
- 24:02Speaker 2: football season. But, like, come March, that's still their mascot.
- 24:06Speaker 2: It's probably a little weird.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Kevin, you're being a downer right now.
- 24:10Speaker 7: For us spooky girls, we like October 1st.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Exactly, Chelsea.
- 24:15Speaker 2: You get me.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Thank you so much for calling, love.
- 24:18Speaker 2: Absolutely. Thank you.
- 24:19Speaker 7: Y'all have a good day.
- 24:20Speaker 3: You too.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Tessa in Nashville, where did you go to school? What
- 24:23Speaker 2: was your mascot?
- 24:24Speaker 7: Okay, so I went to Hillsboro, and we were the boroughs,
- 24:28Speaker 7: so it was a donkey. Yeah, and it was funny
- 24:35Speaker 7: because when I first went or whatever, my parents were like,
- 24:38Speaker 7: so you're going.
- 24:39Speaker 1: To be an ass.
- 24:39Speaker 5: And I was like, uh.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Tessa, this hits me even harder because I just found
- 24:46Speaker 4: out recently that I'm allergic to donkeys.
- 24:49Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 24:50Speaker 4: I personally, like, my body just had a visceral reaction
- 24:53Speaker 4: to you saying that.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I thought it was good.
- 24:56Speaker 7: I was like, this is the perfect, perfect thing.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Thank you, Tessa. We appreciate you. Have a great day.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Y'all have a wonderful day.
- 25:04Speaker 5: We love to listen to y'all in the morning.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Aw, thank you. We love having you.
- 25:08Speaker 7: All right.
- 25:09Speaker 5: Bye, y'all.
- 25:09Speaker 7: Bye.

- 25:29Speaker 2: Is time for the daily double tap it's 107.5 the
- 25:32Speaker 2: river and yesterday we kind of noticed the trend that
- 25:34Speaker 2: these daily double taps lead us to fight we we
- 25:37Speaker 2: end up arguing every single.
- 25:38Speaker 4: Time I mean, that was not the game plan originally.
- 25:40Speaker 2: No, it never is. You know, we're trying to be
- 25:43Speaker 2: peaceful and happy over here. But Zach found this one,
- 25:45Speaker 2: and he said he has pinpointed what's wrong with society.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Stand by that, Zach. Yeah, I sure do. This video
- 25:50Speaker 2: explains it all, Kev. Okay, here we go. Daily Double Tap.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Nobody moves their body like a cyclone anymore.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It's all about Pilates, yoga, protein. And I think that's
- 26:01Speaker 1: a huge part of the problem.
- 26:03Speaker 2: I agree.
- 26:03Speaker 3: What?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Huge part of the problem.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Nobody moves their body like a cyclone anymore. Is that
- 26:07Speaker 2: what she said? That's what she said.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Did you get the clip?
- 26:11Speaker 2: I did, Kevin. It's right there next to it. Oh,
- 26:13Speaker 2: hold on one second.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Play the clip and tell me that you don't want
- 26:15Speaker 4: to move your body like a cyclone.
- 26:17Speaker 1: When you hear this.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Do you remember that song? I don't at all. That's
- 26:28Speaker 2: the reference.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Wow.
- 26:31Speaker 4: No wonder it didn't make sense to you. You can't
- 26:33Speaker 4: listen to that song and not want to move your
- 26:35Speaker 4: body like a cyclone.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I was thinking about the Tasmanian Devil. Sir?
- 26:40Speaker 1: The age difference is showing right now.
- 26:50Speaker 2: It's such a bop.
- 26:51Speaker 1: It's like eighth grade dance.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Do we know who sings that song?
- 26:55Speaker 1: You looked it up, Zach.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I did look it up. Oh, my God. You guys
- 26:58Speaker 2: can't shame me for not knowing a song if you
- 27:00Speaker 2: don't know the answer.
- 27:01Speaker 1: We absolutely can't.
- 27:02Speaker 3: We just did.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it's Baby Bash.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Baby Bash.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Featuring T-Pain. Oh, yeah.
- 27:05Speaker 3: T-Pain.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I was going to say T-Pain's on it.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I know that for a fact. Yeah, it's featuring T-Pain.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Okay. All right.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Thank you. There's today's Daily Double Tap. Get out there
- 27:10Speaker 2: and move your body like a cyclone. Amen.
- 27:13Speaker 4: And you're going to feel better about life.
- 27:14Speaker 2: I bet you will. You're probably right. See, we didn't
- 27:16Speaker 2: fight here.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Kevin's going to go home and he's going to move
