Latest / Naughty But Nice with Rob Shuter / BRITNEY SPEARS ENTERS REHAB AFTER DUI — BIEBER BLASTED FOR “LAZY” COACHELLA SET — PRINCE HARRY FACES BRUTAL LIBEL FIGHT
Transcript
- 0:08Speaker 1: Sure, it's time love, no lover Love. Hello, welcome to
- 0:16Speaker 1: the Naughty but Nice. I'm your host, Rom Shooter. Garrett's
- 0:20Speaker 1: off today, but don't worry. We've got a ton of
- 0:23Speaker 1: gossip to get to. What time is it, my friends?
- 0:26Speaker 1: It is tea time massive story at the top of
- 0:29Speaker 1: the show. Britney Spears has entered rehab after her d
- 0:33Speaker 1: u I arrest. This is a wake up call, so
- 0:37Speaker 1: Brittany is taking a major step towards recovery. The pop
- 0:43Speaker 1: icon checked herself into rehab. Her reps have confirmed it.
- 0:47Speaker 1: This is just weeks after her alleged DUI of rest
- 0:52Speaker 1: in then Tutor, California. A moment inside us say forced
- 0:57Speaker 1: her to confront reality. One is it tells me this
- 1:00Speaker 1: is a real wake up call. She knew she couldn't
- 1:03Speaker 1: ignore it anymore. Spears was arrested after allegedly swerving on
- 1:10Speaker 1: the road, with authorities believing she may have been under
- 1:14Speaker 1: the influence of a mix of substances. The incident left
- 1:19Speaker 1: her shaken inside. To say, she was incredibly emotional at
- 1:24Speaker 1: the time, ashamed, embarrassed, and very aware of how serious
- 1:28Speaker 1: all this was. Now she's taking control. Insiders say that
- 1:34Speaker 1: this was her decision. No one forced her to do it,
- 1:37Speaker 1: she chose to get help. So I hit the phones
- 1:40Speaker 1: to find out exactly what was going on. After TMZ
- 1:43Speaker 1: broke this story late last night, everybody's phones blew up.
- 1:48Speaker 1: And the reason people were so into this story is
- 1:51Speaker 1: not only do we care about Brittany we grew up
- 1:53Speaker 1: with her, but also too My report in other people's
- 1:55Speaker 1: reporting was she didn't want to do this. So after
- 1:59Speaker 1: the arrest people there was some speculation that she was
- 2:03Speaker 1: going to go straight to rehab. This is a move
- 2:07Speaker 1: that is a legal move. Her court case is coming
- 2:10Speaker 1: up in a couple of weeks now. In between the
- 2:13Speaker 1: arrest and seeing a judge, often people try to prove
- 2:19Speaker 1: that they are trying to improve their lives. This is
- 2:22Speaker 1: when you see a lot of people celebrities check into
- 2:25Speaker 1: rehab facilities, try to get treatment, and then when you
- 2:28Speaker 1: see the judge, your lawyer can say, hey, look, they
- 2:31Speaker 1: know they messed up, but they're trying to do better
- 2:34Speaker 1: and it often works. So there was a lot of
- 2:36Speaker 1: speculation and also to a lot of good reasoning why
- 2:40Speaker 1: Brittany should check into rehab so straight after the incident.
- 2:43Speaker 1: So many outlets said she's going to rehab. My insiders
- 2:46Speaker 1: said she's not. She doesn't want to go. In fact,
- 2:50Speaker 1: she is not going. So what happened? What changed in
- 2:53Speaker 1: those two weeks? I wanted to find that out. That
- 2:56Speaker 1: was the key to the story to me, and I
- 2:58Speaker 1: found it. It's her son. Brittany has reunited with her sons,
- 3:03Speaker 1: so much so that one of them has dropped the
- 3:05Speaker 1: last name fed a Lion. They now just go by Spears.
- 3:08Speaker 1: These sons being back in her life have changed everything
- 3:12Speaker 1: because they're the only two people in the entire world
- 3:16Speaker 1: she will listen to. Inside has tell me it was
- 3:18Speaker 1: her sons that convinced her to go to rehab, not
- 3:23Speaker 1: just because it's going to help her legal case it will,
- 3:26Speaker 1: but also because it will help her. They want their
- 3:29Speaker 1: mom to get well. They know how bad things are.
- 3:33Speaker 1: We see very little of it when she's out of
- 3:35Speaker 1: the house. They're in the house. They see everything. They
- 3:39Speaker 1: have concerns. They're also with their mom twenty four to
- 3:43Speaker 1: seven and in her ear, so they can convince her
- 3:45Speaker 1: to do things that she might not otherwise want to do,
- 3:49Speaker 1: and certainly what nobody else can convince her to do.
- 3:52Speaker 1: No manager or agent or publicists or even public opinion.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Fans can convince Britney to do something she doesn't want
- 3:58Speaker 1: to do. Her son. We've all got that Achilles heel
- 4:02Speaker 1: or maybe that angel in our life, somebody that we
- 4:05Speaker 1: listened to him minds Bruce. I can tune out a
- 4:07Speaker 1: lot of noise. But when Bruce, my husband, when he
- 4:11Speaker 1: recommends something, when he talks to me, I do listen.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So I wonder who yours is. Who's that person in
- 4:15Speaker 1: your life? It might be your children. Children have a
- 4:18Speaker 1: lot of power over their parents' parents have a lot
- 4:20Speaker 1: of power over their children. So at the moment, things
- 4:23Speaker 1: with Brittany look more optimistic than they have in a
- 4:25Speaker 1: long time. I know that sounds crazy. She has a
- 4:28Speaker 1: legal case coming up. She is in rehab. She's in
- 4:30Speaker 1: rehab here in America. She did not go abroad light
- 4:34Speaker 1: Tiger Woods did. She's here in a facility. That all
- 4:37Speaker 1: sounds terrible, That doesn't sound good. But let me tell
- 4:39Speaker 1: you what he is good because finally Britney's getting help.
- 4:43Speaker 1: We have known about her troubles ever since a conservatorship
- 4:47Speaker 1: ended with her father. Thirteen years that conservatorship went on.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Some people now say he saved her life after it
- 4:55Speaker 1: ended then things started to go back to how they
- 4:58Speaker 1: were before he and they were not good shaving her head,
- 5:03Speaker 1: acting or radically doing drugs. Now, once again she's trying
- 5:08Speaker 1: to get help, and instead of being under a conservatorship
- 5:12Speaker 1: a legal process, she's under a love process. Here. She
- 5:16Speaker 1: loves those boys. She really wants to try and make
- 5:19Speaker 1: them happy. She wants to be around for them, and
- 5:21Speaker 1: Insider told me, they've given her a reason to live.
- 5:24Speaker 1: He doesn't want to be one of these tragic Hollywood
- 5:27Speaker 1: stories where we find a star no longer with us.
- 5:30Speaker 1: We've seen so many celebrities overdose, and she doesn't want
- 5:34Speaker 1: to be that. She doesn't want to be that for
- 5:35Speaker 1: her boys. She doesn't want her boys finding her on
- 5:38Speaker 1: the bathroom floor. No, she wants to live for these boys,
- 5:42Speaker 1: hopefully eventually for herself too. But that's what she's gonna
- 5:44Speaker 1: learn in rehab. So even though this sounds like a
- 5:47Speaker 1: terrible story, a court date, rehab it sounds a warful
- 5:52Speaker 1: it's good. It's all good news. Now. My only fear
- 5:55Speaker 1: here is the amount of pressure on these two kids.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Are still young guys, the men, but they're still very
- 6:01Speaker 1: young and to carry this burden on their shoulders. At
- 6:05Speaker 1: that age, they're still learning at who they are, who
- 6:08Speaker 1: they want to be, and to suddenly have to step
- 6:11Speaker 1: forward and protect your mom. It's a lot when the
- 6:13Speaker 1: roles reverse when the child becomes the parent, but they
- 6:17Speaker 1: have and that's the one glimmer of hope that Brittany has.
- 6:22Speaker 1: We've been saying this, We've been talking about Britney for
- 6:24Speaker 1: a long time. We love Britney. We really wish our world.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I worked on her PR team twenty years ago and
- 6:29Speaker 1: it was a mess. Then they just did a much
- 6:31Speaker 1: better job of covering it up. But this is who
- 6:33Speaker 1: Britney is. She's deeply troubled, she's deeply talented, and somehow
- 6:38Speaker 1: we want her to be happy. Maybe, hopefully finally her
- 6:42Speaker 1: boys can lead her to that, which brings us to
- 6:44Speaker 1: our pole question of the day. Britney Spierre says entered
- 6:47Speaker 1: rehab after her DUI arrest. Is this a wake up call?
- 6:52Speaker 1: What do you think? Is this the wake up call
- 6:54Speaker 1: Britney needs? Yes or no? Go vote on our Twitter
- 6:57Speaker 1: page at Naughty Knights rob facebook page is nuta yosib
- 7:02Speaker 1: and be sure to check Bettermaraua to hear your results.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Justin Bieber is getting slammed for a quote lazy Coachella set.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Fans are fuming over the ten million dollar pay day.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So just think got ten million dollars. It's a massive amount,
- 7:17Speaker 1: the highest paid for any performer at Coachella, the big
- 7:20Speaker 1: music festival. But now he's getting backlash and some people
- 7:23Speaker 1: are saying that his performance was very, very lazy. He
- 7:27Speaker 1: shocked fans by sitting with a laptop streaming snippets of
- 7:32Speaker 1: his own hits instead of performing them live. Social media erupted.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Some people say it is karaoke, and lots of people
- 7:41Speaker 1: are saying it is lazy. Oh this is saying it's
- 7:43Speaker 1: the worst headliner ever. Na Sabrina Carpenter the night before
- 7:47Speaker 1: put on a parlish show. She knows how to do it.
- 7:49Speaker 1: She even performed Copa Gabano, which my husband wrote with
- 7:53Speaker 1: Barry Manilow. It was delicious. Neither one of them knew
- 7:56Speaker 1: she was going to do it. They were giggling with
- 7:58Speaker 1: joy when it finally rogue and it was all over
- 8:01Speaker 1: social media. Copa Cavada, that song, that song, that song.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I love it. Sabrina Carpenter loves it, so I'm team
- 8:07Speaker 1: Sabrina here. But I watched Justin's performance, and I thought
- 8:10Speaker 1: he can't win. He did nineteen songs, including twelve in
- 8:13Speaker 1: a menum medley. That's not lazy. You might not like
- 8:17Speaker 1: what he's doing here, but he did do the work.
- 8:19Speaker 1: He delivered these numbers. That's a massive amount of songs,
- 8:23Speaker 1: but the reaction was not what he wanted. He performed
- 8:26Speaker 1: nineteen full songs one, nine and twelve packaged together in
- 8:29Speaker 1: a medley. When you were lucky enough to have the
- 8:31Speaker 1: amount of hits that Justin Bieber has, you can't do
- 8:34Speaker 1: your entire catalog in one even you'd be on stage
- 8:36Speaker 1: for four or five six hours, and so you have
- 8:39Speaker 1: to often cut songs down and put them in a medley.
- 8:42Speaker 1: That's what the really smart stars do when they've got
- 8:44Speaker 1: too many hits. When they're lucky enough to have too
- 8:46Speaker 1: many hits, they put them in a medley. And so
- 8:49Speaker 1: Justin did that. So we got a little taste of
- 8:51Speaker 1: all the hits. Baby Baby Oh, I love that song,
- 8:54Speaker 1: all the songs that he hasn't sang in a long time,
- 8:56Speaker 1: he put them into a medley. But I think the
- 8:59Speaker 1: twist that people are missing is insiders say that the
- 9:02Speaker 1: YouTube heavy set wasn't random no, he wanted to remind
- 9:07Speaker 1: people that's where he started. He did not get discovered
- 9:11Speaker 1: by a big music executive. He got discovered on YouTube.
- 9:15Speaker 1: He was posting his songs on YouTube. He's really the
- 9:19Speaker 1: first or the biggest star to ever come from YouTube.
- 9:22Speaker 1: He changed the music business. Now post your videos. YouTube
- 9:26Speaker 1: now is the most watched outlet in the world formal
- 9:29Speaker 1: viewers than ABC or NBC or BBC. It is YouTube.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I started using it too. I resisted it for the
- 9:36Speaker 1: longest the times, and now I have a YouTube channel.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I post gossip items throughout the day. I really have
- 9:42Speaker 1: fun do and get it. First I felt so awkward,
- 9:44Speaker 1: but now I love sitting down in front of my
- 9:46Speaker 1: camera my phone for really a minute and posting the
- 9:50Speaker 1: short little snippets. That's what Justin did. He did it
- 9:52Speaker 1: long before anybody else. And so when he did this
- 9:55Speaker 1: at Coachello and he played YouTube videos of himself, that
- 10:00Speaker 1: was a wink. It was a nod to how he
- 10:04Speaker 1: came to be one of the biggest stars in the
- 10:06Speaker 1: world in minimal stage and no choreography and a strip
- 10:09Speaker 1: direct vibe. It depends what you want here. That's not lazy,
- 10:12Speaker 1: that's a choice. Some artists Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift. They
- 10:16Speaker 1: love over at the Top, Beyonce. Oh, it's like a
- 10:18Speaker 1: celebration when you see Beyonce live. Other artists like Sting,
- 10:23Speaker 1: James Taylor, they have much more, much more subtle sets.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's them and a guitar. Sting gets Sting and a lute.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Last time Sting at Madison Square Garden, he was just
- 10:32Speaker 1: standing there playing a lute. It was fabulous. I loved it,
- 10:35Speaker 1: but there was no fireworks. Justin is changing and he's
- 10:39Speaker 1: adapting and he's evolving. So I get it. I get
- 10:43Speaker 1: why some of his hardcore fans always want the old
- 10:46Speaker 1: Justin the dancing, the choreography, but he is allowed to
- 10:50Speaker 1: mix it up. It's his show, and so I get
- 10:53Speaker 1: why people think it was different. I don't think it's
- 10:56Speaker 1: lazy nineteen songs, that's not lazy. I didn't like the sunglasses,
- 11:01Speaker 1: I didn't like the hoodie. I want to see your face,
- 11:03Speaker 1: I want to adore you and so, but that's a
- 11:05Speaker 1: choice too. What do you think was Justin shir great
- 11:09Speaker 1: or was it just not good? Okay, moving forward, this
- 11:12Speaker 1: is a massive story. So Prince Harry's own words could
- 11:16Speaker 1: destroy him in a new libel battle. It's going to
- 11:20Speaker 1: turn brutal. So Harry is facing his most dangerous fight yet,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and this time, insiders say, his own words, maybe his
- 11:29Speaker 1: worst than a Maya A Centerbelle's explosive lawsuit. That's a
- 11:34Speaker 1: charity that he set up to honor his mother, an
- 11:38Speaker 1: African charity doing amazing work. Will They have filed an
- 11:43Speaker 1: explosive libel lawsuit, and experts warn that the Duke could
- 11:48Speaker 1: be forced to defend years of public accusations under oath
- 11:54Speaker 1: the irony that he is so interesting. Harry built his
- 11:59Speaker 1: brand attack in the press. Now he's one and now
- 12:02Speaker 1: he's under scrutiny. So everybody is watching this. This charity,
- 12:06Speaker 1: the head of the charity has said he's a misogynist,
- 12:09Speaker 1: He's a racist. This head of the charity told him
- 12:12Speaker 1: his brand with Megan was toxic, it was hurting the charity.
- 12:16Speaker 1: She had the balls, she had the hutspur to tell
- 12:20Speaker 1: Harry what a lot of people thought but nobody dared say.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And she said, no, it's not good. Then she claims
- 12:27Speaker 1: Harry tried to smear her in the press, which is
- 12:30Speaker 1: exactly what Harry has been suing the press over. If
- 12:34Speaker 1: it turns out, and we don't know yet, it's going
- 12:36Speaker 1: to get a card. If it turns out that Harry
- 12:38Speaker 1: had a smear campaign against this charity, against the head
- 12:41Speaker 1: of the charity, it will be explosive because he claims
- 12:45Speaker 1: that the press have a smear campaign against him. Everything
- 12:48Speaker 1: he's accusing the media of doing, he's now been accused
- 12:53Speaker 1: of doing himself. This is a major moment. The timing
- 12:56Speaker 1: couldn't be worse. The couple head to Australia this week.
- 12:59Speaker 1: They were wanted that to be a big celebration to her.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Now they've got to deal with a lible lawsuit accusing
- 13:06Speaker 1: him of spreading lies. Not good, okay, Taylor Swift's big wedding.
- 13:13Speaker 1: We have the date, Mara over at page six. Our
- 13:15Speaker 1: friend break the date. It is going to be June third.
- 13:18Speaker 1: But now we're finding out who the bridesmaids are. I
- 13:20Speaker 1: can't wait. Selina Gomez and Gigi Adeed And not only
- 13:24Speaker 1: are they their bridesmaids, they're planning something very special and emotional.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Surprise video really detailing going through the timeline the love
- 13:34Speaker 1: story of Taylor and Travis from their first meeting right
- 13:39Speaker 1: up to the ideas they have had such a beautiful courtship.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Isn't that a nonfashioned word. I love that word courtship.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Will say it again, They've had a beautiful romance. It's
- 13:50Speaker 1: going to be unfold displayed also too. I'm told karaoke
- 13:54Speaker 1: is in the works for the wedding. Can you imagine
- 13:57Speaker 1: maybe Sabrina Carpenter will go and see copa banner fingers crossed?
- 14:01Speaker 1: I hope. So it's a great song, and so they're
- 14:04Speaker 1: going to be carryoking. It's gonna be a video. Everybody,
- 14:07Speaker 1: you're super excited about this. I have a story breaking
- 14:09Speaker 1: today on my substack. Substack is now where I break
- 14:12Speaker 1: all my stories. You can follow me for free if
- 14:14Speaker 1: you go to substack and type in Rubshooter, put your
- 14:17Speaker 1: email address in, and then throughout the day you'll get
- 14:19Speaker 1: tiny little news items as they break. So I've got
- 14:22Speaker 1: a story breaking later today that the invites are out.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Our friend Mara broke that story on page six. However,
- 14:28Speaker 1: so get this, get your head around this. There's no
- 14:31Speaker 1: venue on the invite. The reason nobody knows the venue
- 14:35Speaker 1: is it's not on the invite. Guests, Guests going to
- 14:38Speaker 1: the wedding, people invited to the wedding, will not find
- 14:41Speaker 1: out where it technically is until twenty four hours before.
- 14:44Speaker 1: They're doing this to make sure it is kept as
- 14:47Speaker 1: private for as long as possible. They know it's in
- 14:49Speaker 1: New York, so they're told to be in New York
- 14:52Speaker 1: on due July July second July third, that's the date
- 14:57Speaker 1: of the wedding, and then twenty four hours before you'll
- 14:59Speaker 1: be given address. This sounds really cryptic and really James Bond,
- 15:03Speaker 1: but often celebrities do this after the grammar is after
- 15:05Speaker 1: the Oscars, when Madonna has house parties, they don't actually
- 15:08Speaker 1: give you the address until just hour before, and so
- 15:11Speaker 1: you know it's going to be in La You know
- 15:13Speaker 1: it's probably in the hills, but you get a text
- 15:15Speaker 1: Taylor is keeping the actual address. I think it's her apartment.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Sh It started with a whisper, don't tell anybody I
- 15:22Speaker 1: think it's going to be at her apartment. Okay, before
- 15:25Speaker 1: I get into any more drouble, let's take a quick
- 15:28Speaker 1: break and we will be right back. Welcome back to
- 15:33Speaker 1: the Naughty, but nashow on your hand, stam shooter, who
- 15:36Speaker 1: you Let's get to the polls dull. Last show, we
- 15:40Speaker 1: talked about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey said to date
- 15:45Speaker 1: in New York City. Our question was will they get
- 15:47Speaker 1: married at her home? Will it be at her apartment?
- 15:49Speaker 1: This is what Jay Z and Beyonce did. They got
- 15:52Speaker 1: married at their apartment. It's so secure they can shut
- 15:54Speaker 1: it off, no paparazzi concerns. What do you think? Ooh,
- 15:57Speaker 1: seventy percent said yes, I agree. Hey, I'm hearing it's
- 16:00Speaker 1: going to be at their apartment. If it was going
- 16:02Speaker 1: to be in a big ballroom, if this was going
- 16:04Speaker 1: to be at the Plaza or one of the grand
- 16:06Speaker 1: hotels in New York City, it would have leaked out,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and it hasn't. So we know the date. Mara broke
- 16:12Speaker 1: that story on page six, but she didn't break the
- 16:14Speaker 1: exact location. She knows it's New York And the reason
- 16:17Speaker 1: she didn't break it it's not that she she's not brilliant.
- 16:19Speaker 1: She's the best reporter I know. The reason she didn't
- 16:21Speaker 1: break it is that nobody knows. Nobody knows, including the guests.
- 16:25Speaker 1: In fact, only Taylor, Travis and probably the event planner,
- 16:28Speaker 1: the wedding planner know where this is. Hey, don't forget
- 16:32Speaker 1: to vote on today's pool. Go to our Twitter page
- 16:36Speaker 1: add Naughty nice rob. A Facebook page is Naughty Gossip
- 16:40Speaker 1: and Shoe to show back tomorrow to hear your results
- 16:44Speaker 1: are now. Oh, it's time for our nicest of the day. No,
- 16:49Speaker 1: my nicest of the day is Adele, who showed up
- 16:52Speaker 1: for Justin Bieber's performance. Adele made a very rare public
- 16:56Speaker 1: appearance at Coachella, bringing her son Angela along to watch
- 17:00Speaker 1: Justin Biab. He's a huge fan of Justin Biaver, so
- 17:04Speaker 1: she dressed low key, kept it casual. A lot of
- 17:06Speaker 1: people did not even know it was her. She blended
- 17:08Speaker 1: into the crowd. All eyes were on just In Biab.
- 17:10Speaker 1: So it's actually a great way to go if you're
- 17:12Speaker 1: a celebrity, if you don't want to be recognized. And
- 17:14Speaker 1: the men got to see a pop star. When I
- 17:16Speaker 1: went to see Taylor Swift, there were so many celebrities there,
- 17:18Speaker 1: but nobody cared in the crowd because we were all
- 17:20Speaker 1: watching Taylor. So what a great ma'am. This is the
- 17:23Speaker 1: perks of being one of the most famous, one of
- 17:26Speaker 1: the most celebrated singers in the world. Adele, she got
- 17:29Speaker 1: great seats, she got great, great tickets, and she brought
- 17:33Speaker 1: her son to see one of his favorite artists. Justin
- 17:37Speaker 1: biaver and nicest of the day. And now I noticed
- 17:40Speaker 1: the day naughty, naughty Taylor Swift is getting dragged once
- 17:43Speaker 1: again into the Blake Lively legal war. Blake Lively, I've
- 17:47Speaker 1: got another story break in later today that Blake's team
- 17:51Speaker 1: of trying to convince her to settle this. It is
- 17:52Speaker 1: so messy, it is so ugly, so so Taylor's not
- 17:56Speaker 1: even on trial and she's been pulled into this again.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Has surfaced on a potential list of jury questions, with
- 18:04Speaker 1: lawyers asking the jurors, the potential jurors if they know
