- 0:20Speaker 3: I totally forgot to mention this yesterday morning, but I
- 0:24Speaker 3: am grateful that the construction on the Belway between Tyson's
- 0:31Speaker 3: and the American Leader Bridge is finally over.
- 0:34Speaker 2: It's funny, I thought about you when I was coming
- 0:36Speaker 2: back from Woodbridge for Thanksgiving, even though the traffic was
- 0:40Speaker 2: still bad.
- 0:41Speaker 4: You're still bad, but it was different this morning.
- 0:44Speaker 5: Well, even at one two.

- 1:30Speaker 2: had this idea that we needed to drive through and
- 1:33Speaker 2: see the Christmas lights in Gaithersburg, which is a big
- 1:37Speaker 2: thing up there, and I got some pictures. I was
- 1:42Speaker 2: pleasantly surprised by her idea. And normally I wouldn't be
- 1:47Speaker 2: excited about going to drive through and see Christmas lights,
- 1:50Speaker 2: you know what I mean to me, there's other ways
- 1:52Speaker 2: to spend your time, like going to say ice at
- 1:55Speaker 2: the Gay Lord or someplace like that. But then again,
- 1:58Speaker 2: that requires you to have both knees working well so
- 2:01Speaker 2: you can walk through the whole thing. Yeah, So she
- 2:04Speaker 2: thought about me, worked that into the equation, hit me
- 2:07Speaker 2: up and said do you want to do this?

- 5:36Speaker 2: Jesse Cole, guy behind the Savannah Bananas, says, you don't

- 5:45Speaker 2: You don't need to be the best, you just need
- 5:49Speaker 2: to be different. So lean into what it is that
- 5:51Speaker 2: makes you stand out. Don't chase likes, don't follow the crowd,

- 6:41Speaker 3: in the condition you're in right now, which I think
- 6:44Speaker 3: is great.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Just because it's painful doesn't mean it's all bad. Stay
- 6:49Speaker 2: there for more that's on the way silver linings in life.
- 6:52Speaker 2: You might think that after two knee surgeries, silver linings
- 6:56Speaker 2: might be hard to find, but there are nonetheless some.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I've notice Toby and Chilly in the morning ninety seven
- 7:02Speaker 2: point one wat chef m Because if you look and
- 7:05Speaker 2: you have your heart open, you'll find some joy while
- 7:08Speaker 2: you're going through whatever it is. You're going through all.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Right, So I'm sure you've jotted down some positives to
- 7:14Speaker 3: all of this.
- 7:14Speaker 4: What are they not having to do chores?
- 7:17Speaker 2: My significant other steps in and helps out because I
- 7:20Speaker 2: can't carry the trash bags across the parking lot.
- 7:23Speaker 4: It's tough. It's tough, very tough.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I can't load up the roll later with them all
- 7:26Speaker 2: because well, they're too big. The other thing I've noticed
- 7:30Speaker 2: is that you get a better parking spot if you
- 7:32Speaker 2: have the temporary handicap blacker, that's true, you get to
- 7:35Speaker 2: park the close. Parking across the parking lot is not
- 7:38Speaker 2: an easy thing to do. And I'm still kind.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Of winded when I you know, when I go for
- 7:43Speaker 4: a distance like that. Yeah.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Yeah, for example, listen back to the podcasts and hear
- 7:48Speaker 2: about my adventures at the movies. Tough.
- 7:54Speaker 4: You have an excuse.
- 7:55Speaker 2: For getting out of social events that maybe you didn't
- 7:58Speaker 2: want to attender, me to attend, but yeah, you needed
- 8:01Speaker 2: a good.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Excuse because you gotta stay home and rest, Toby, you
- 8:04Speaker 3: got to keep those knees healthy.
- 8:06Speaker 4: That's right, because rest is important to recovery.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Huh.
- 8:09Speaker 4: And then finally, and this.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Is crazy, but I have enjoyed physical therapy, the forced
- 8:17Speaker 2: prescribed exercises, Okay, they're different. Every time I go in,
- 8:22Speaker 2: I enjoy my physical therapists.
- 8:25Speaker 3: And let's be honest, you wouldn't have been making time
- 8:28Speaker 3: to do any kind of workout unless you had.
- 8:30Speaker 2: To go No, and I wouldn't have expected to bond
- 8:33Speaker 2: with a dog as a physical therapist too, you know.
- 8:36Speaker 2: So there are silver linings. Yes, the pain is real,
- 8:41Speaker 2: but you know what, These silver linings help you get
- 8:43Speaker 2: through it. Embrace the silver linings in your life. Today
- 8:46Speaker 2: we're Toby and Chilly in the Morning. It's ninety seven

- 13:02Speaker 2: of an embellishment. But nonetheless, it's a debate that happens
- 13:06Speaker 2: with families around this time every year.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Are you team.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Real Christmas tree or team fake Christmas tree artificial tree?
- 13:16Speaker 2: Let's discuss eight six six nine two seven three sixty one.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Chili thought we are team fake tree. It is more convenient.
- 13:24Speaker 3: It's pre lit, so you don't have to deal with
- 13:26Speaker 3: the tanglement and all that stuff. And let's be honest. Okay,
- 13:30Speaker 3: it's just over time is cheaper. It pays for itself
- 13:35Speaker 3: after a few years.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Kent and Laurel, are you team real or team fake?
- 13:41Speaker 4: Go ahead? I am partial to real Christmas trees just
- 13:44Speaker 4: for the smell.
- 13:45Speaker 7: I know a lot of people don't like the needles,
- 13:46Speaker 7: but I have a vacting cleaner, so who cares?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Kent. You know they make sprays now that can make
- 13:51Speaker 3: your house smell like a Christmas tree.
- 13:53Speaker 2: That's right, you're talking to the woman who knows all
- 13:56Speaker 2: things incense Over here, I'm gonna add my voice to
- 14:00Speaker 2: team fake.
- 14:01Speaker 4: And here's why. When I was a younger kid. Growing up,
- 14:05Speaker 4: I was the.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Oldest of four boys, which meant I had to vacuum
- 14:10Speaker 2: the real trees when we got the real trees, and
- 14:13Speaker 2: those needles get everywhere, and then there's other stuff that
- 14:17Speaker 2: gets everywhere, and it just that ruined the real tree
- 14:21Speaker 2: experience for me. I'm team fake because it's just cleaner
- 14:25Speaker 2: and easier to maintain. Yes, effortless thoughts. Are you team
- 14:29Speaker 2: real tree or team artificial tree? Team real or team fake?
- 14:33Speaker 2: Eight sixty six nine two seven forty three sixty one
- 14:36Speaker 2: is the number. Join the debate this morning where Toby
- 14:39Speaker 2: and Chilly in the morning and your thoughts are on
- 14:42Speaker 2: the way Toby and Chilly in the morning, where we
- 14:45Speaker 2: are both on a bashedly fake Christmas tree fans that
- 14:49Speaker 2: we are fans of the artificial.
- 14:51Speaker 4: It's the debate, it's on.
- 14:53Speaker 2: You can join it at eight sixty six nine two
- 14:55Speaker 2: seven forty three sixty one.
- 14:56Speaker 4: This morning, we want to know which.
- 14:59Speaker 5: Do you prefer? The fake tree or the real tree?
- 15:02Speaker 2: It comes Lisa, She's listening this morning in Silver Spring. Lisa,
- 15:06Speaker 2: where do you stand?
- 15:07Speaker 8: I am an artificial Christmas tree goal for two reasons.
- 15:12Speaker 8: Number one, it does not require me to vacuum number two.
- 15:16Speaker 8: It does not require me to repurchase. So I'm going
- 15:19Speaker 8: to continue to pull my artificial tree up year after year,
- 15:23Speaker 8: and no the original forty five dollars I spend eight
- 15:26Speaker 8: years ago until the thing is bold.
- 15:30Speaker 3: All excellent points there, Lisa, and I will add one
- 15:34Speaker 3: more that just occurred to me.
- 15:35Speaker 4: What's up?
- 15:36Speaker 3: The artificial tree is less of a fire hazard now.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Conversely, Mark, good morning in Woodbridge. You have some thoughts.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I would rather celebrate the holiday with the real Christmas
- 15:46Speaker 4: tree because it's it's tradition and it's classic, and just
- 15:50Speaker 4: being able to go out and pick out the perfect
- 15:52Speaker 4: tree is just so much fun. It's such a great
- 15:54Speaker 4: memory to have. Mark.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Thank you for your thoughts. This morning team real represent today.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Now there's picking out your own tree that's pre cut
- 16:03Speaker 3: on a parking lot, and there's picking it out and
- 16:06Speaker 3: chopping it down yourself. I've never done that, and I
- 16:10Speaker 3: think at least once we'd like to experience that.
- 16:12Speaker 2: I can just see you out there at a Christmas
- 16:14Speaker 2: tree farm with a hatchet.
- 16:16Speaker 3: You think, man, Okay, my husband's gonna trust me to
- 16:20Speaker 3: chop down the.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Oh no, no, I think that well, that is a
- 16:23Speaker 2: good question, Chili. I don't know, but I look forward
- 16:26Speaker 2: to living vicariously through you and only good morning, Tina.
- 16:30Speaker 4: What's up? Okay?
- 16:31Speaker 6: So I might be weird on this, but I would
- 16:34Speaker 6: rather celebrate with a fake Christmas tree because real Christmas
- 16:37Speaker 6: trees they smell really good, but.
- 16:40Speaker 4: They get, you know, they like shit, they get they.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Get little prepers everywhere on the ground and then you
- 16:44Speaker 3: step on them and it's terrible.
- 16:46Speaker 6: And then yeah, and then they look terrible, you know.
- 16:48Speaker 5: Days after Christmas. And I'd rather keep it up till
- 16:50Speaker 5: you know, mid January.
- 16:51Speaker 4: That's fair.
- 16:52Speaker 3: You make a really valid point because the real tree
- 16:55Speaker 3: has a shorter shelf life.
- 16:57Speaker 4: True, don't forget to water it. What do you think?
- 16:59Speaker 4: Real or fake?
- 17:00Speaker 2: Jump into the conversation, tap the talk bag microphone, leave
- 17:03Speaker 2: us your thoughts if you have a chance. Today, we
- 17:06Speaker 2: love hearing from you, Toby and Chili in the morning
