- 6:11and George. In top news, The Justice Department
- 6:17is dropping the subpoenas it filed demanding
- 6:20grand jury testimony and phone records from New
- 6:23York Times journalists after sharp questioning
- 6:26from a federal judge. The government had insisted
- 6:29it was acting solely in the interest of national

- 6:41He threatened to impose sanctions against federal
- 6:44attorneys for misleading the court. David McGraw,
- 6:48the lead newsroom lawyer for the New York Times,

- 6:54The Justice Department maintains its investigation
- 6:57remains ongoing. In business news, Andy's rivalry
- 7:04with NVIDIA is increasingly moving into a new
- 7:07realm. The chip makers are best known for competing
- 7:10in the graphics processing unit business, but
- 7:13they are stepping up their offerings in the attractive
- 7:15market for server central processing units. Advanced
- 7:20micro devices has been coming after NVIDIA in
- 7:22the market for graphics processing units. However,
- 7:26the smaller chip companies' new product announcements
- 7:29show there is fierce competition in the market
- 7:31for central processing units as well. On Thursday,
- 7:36AMD unveiled the sixth generation of its EPYC
- 7:39central processing units for data center servers
- 7:42at its Advancing Artificial Intelligence event.
- 7:46The Venice family of chips is meant to support

- 9:04Let's talk tech. Scientists have developed a
- 9:07handheld device to measure when your body is
- 9:09burning fat. This breathalyzer identifies the
- 9:13amount of acetone in your breath to determine
- 9:16if you are in ketosis. While smart scales and
- 9:20smart watches use bioelectrical impedance for
- 9:22quick estimates, accurately measuring fat burning
- 9:25is more complex. Researchers led by Andreas Guntner
- 9:30created a breathalyzer that closely matched lab
- 9:33results in a study involving 12 participants.
- 9:37The device filters excess moisture and contaminants,
- 9:40aided by a companion app that guides users through
- 9:43the breathing process. Frequent metabolic measurements
- 9:46may prove useful across various health settings.
- 9:55Tam Holland has made Hot Ones history by becoming
- 9:58the first person to vomit on camera on the talk
- 10:01show. In the popular series, host John Evans
- 10:05asks celebrities questions while they attempt
- 10:07to eat chicken wings coated in hot sauce. In
- 10:11a latest episode, the British actor was joined
- 10:13by his The Odyssey and Spider -Man. Brand New
- 10:17Day co -star John Bernthal. Right from the first
- 10:20round, Tom struggled with the spice and started
- 10:23drinking a lot of milk. That's battery acid,
- 10:27he stated, later adding, I feel like I could
- 10:30black out. After the round, Tom coughed uncontrollably
- 10:34and suddenly keeled to the ground to throw up.
- 10:38John declared, let's go, take a picture of that.
- 10:42The uncharted star recovered and insisted, you
- 10:45can use that footage. Tom proudly declared that
- 10:49he managed to keep his outfit clean, saying,
- 10:52look, Louis Vuitton, I got none of it on my clothes.
- 10:57To conclude, John asked Sean whether anyone had
- 11:00puked on set before, with the host replying,
- 11:02that might be the first on set ever. I love being
- 11:06the first, smiled Tom. The Odyssey is now showing
- 11:11in cinemas, while Spider -Man, Brand New Day,
- 11:14opens on July 31st. Well, all righty, folks.
- 11:19It's time for the quote of the day. And today,
- 11:23our quote comes from the American historian and
- 11:26author David McCullough. And he said, history
- 11:30is who we are and why we are the way we are.
- 11:34And that's a wrap for this morning. You can check
- 11:38out our Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for some
