hello welcome to the NOG God coach hudle
• 0:03
  for February 12th 2025 your two-minute
• 0:06
play of the day for applying God's word
• 0:07
in your life so let's huddle up and hear
• 0:10
today's play uh it comes from 1
• 0:12
Corinthians 10 which says therefore my
• 0:15
dear friends flee from idolatry do I
• 0:18
mean then that food sacrificed to an
• 0:20
idol is anything or that an idol is
• 0:22
anything no but the sacrifices of pagans
• 0:25
are offered to demons and not to God and
• 0:28
I don't want you to be a participant
• 0:30
with demons you cannot drink the cup of
• 0:32
the Lord and the cup of demons too you
• 0:35
cannot have a part in both the Lord's
• 0:37
table and the table of demons are we
• 0:39
trying to arouse the Lord's jealousy are
• 0:42
we stronger than he you know I had a
• 0:45
recent trip to India and it reveals the
• 0:48
poverty of idolatry a person cannot go a
• 0:51
hundred yards without a shrine of some
• 0:53
kind buil on the side of the road for
• 0:54
people to pause and offer prayers or
• 0:57
gifts for appeasement and blessing what
• 1:00
a burden to have to please literally
• 1:03
millions of gods these are truly demons
• 1:06
for the work of demons is to move the
• 1:07
worship of men from the one true God to
• 1:10
something else most of these Idols look
• 1:13
  demonic though that doesn't necessarily
• 1:15
make them so you know in America we
• 1:17
acknowledge casually the one true God
• 1:20
while worshiping the god of ourselves
• 1:23
this too is demonic for the original
• 1:25
Temptation by the evil one was to cause
• 1:27
us to worship ourselves as equal to the
• 1:30
one true God yet we're not gods and we
• 1:33
know that we can't add a day to our
• 1:35
lives or stop those we love from dying
• 1:38
We Can't Stop hate or even cause love
• 1:41
we're incapable of being gods because
• 1:44
we're not Gods we are creations of the
• 1:47
one true God and he alone is to be the
• 1:50
center and focus of our worship the one
• 1:53
true God is good and loving which is
• 1:55
fortunate for us because he's merciful
• 1:57
compassionate and gracious one true God
• 2:00
has come to the world is a man to die
• 2:02
for the rebellion of men against him and
• 2:05
was raised from the dead because he is
• 2:07
God proving his sacrifice for us is
• 2:10
acceptable to God and at his part offer
• 2:13
of Pardon so we can live forever with
• 2:15
him in his kingdom is legitimate this
• 2:18
God is Jesus The One and Only God
• 2:21
worshiping anything or anyone but him is
• 2:24
  demonic it's foolish and it's
• 2:26
destructive to ourselves one God will
• 2:29
judge all Humanity by his standard
• 2:31
revealed in his word this God made us in
• 2:34
His image lived among us as one of us
• 2:36
and Promises to come again to live
• 2:38
forever with all those who have humbled
• 2:41
themselves before him by worshiping only
• 2:44
  him
