  hits hard. Have you ever felt like life
• 0:14
  just blindsided you? Like 1 moment everything.

  Seemed fine and the next it all fell apart.
• 0:20
  Maybe it was a failed exam you studied so hard for, a
• 0:23
  relationship that suddenly ended, or news you never saw
• 0:26
  coming. In those moments, it can feel
• 0:29
  like the ground beneath you has disappeared.
• 0:32
  In Proverbs Chapter 11, verses 18 to 19, we read the wicked
• 0:37
  earns deceptive wages, but one who sews righteousness gets a
• 0:41
  sure reward. Whoever is steadfast in
• 0:44
  righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die.
• 0:47
  A sure reward, Not a temporary one, not a fragile 1.
• 0:51
  Sure. And then in Job chapter one,
• 0:54
  verse 21, after losing his wealth, his children and
• 0:57
  everything he owned, Job said naked, I came from my mother's
• 1:01
  womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has
• 1:05
  taken away. Blessed.
• 1:07
  Be the name of the Lord. And verse 22 tells us, in all
• 1:10
  this, Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
• 1:13
  That's powerful. Job didn't pretend it didn't
• 1:17
  hurt. He didn't say it was easy.
• 1:19
  But he refused to blame God. He chose trust over bitterness.
• 1:24
  When life hits hard, our natural reaction is often anger, fear,
• 1:27
  or shutting down. We scroll endlessly to escape.
• 1:31
  We vent. We question God's goodness.
• 1:34
  But Job shows us something different.
• 1:36
  He shows us that faith isn't about having perfect
• 1:39
  circumstances. It's about having a steady heart
• 1:42
  when circumstances are anything but perfect.
• 1:46
  Proverbs reminds us that righteousness brings a sure
• 1:48
  reward. That reward isn't always instant
• 1:51
  success or visible blessings. Sometimes the reward is deeper.
• 1:57
  A life anchored in God, a peace that doesn't make sense.
• 2:01
  A character that becomes unshakable.
• 2:04
  When you stay faithful in a storm.
• 2:06
  Something inside you grow stronger.
• 2:08
  Your roots go deeper. Maybe the pressure you're
• 2:11
  feeling right now isn't meant to crush you, but to strengthen
• 2:14
  you. Maybe this challenge is shaping
• 2:16
  a faith that can't be easily shaken.

  God's bigger plan often unfolds in seasons we would never choose
• 2:23
  for ourselves. Real faith is not proven when
• 2:26
  life is easy. It's proven when you say even
• 2:29
  through tears, blessed. Be the name of the.

  Lord, it's choosing to believe that God is still good, still
• 2:35
  present, and still working even when you don't see the full
• 2:39
  picture. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, you see the places in my life that hurt
• 2:44
  right now. You know the disappointments,
• 2:46
  the losses, the questions I carry.
• 2:49
  Help me to trust you when life hits hard.
• 2:52
  Give me the strength to stay steadfast in righteousness and
• 2:55
  to believe that your reward is sure.
• 2:58
  Grow my faith in the middle of the storm and teach me to say
• 3:01
  with confidence. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

  Haven't you made a hedge around him and around his house and

  around all that he has on every side?

  You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is

  increased in the land. But stretch out your hand now

  and touch all that he has, and he will renounce you to your

  face. Yahweh said to Satan.

  Behold. All that he has is in your

  power, only on himself. Don't stretch out your hand.

  So Satan went out from the presence of Yahweh.

  It fell on a day when his sons and his daughters were eating

  and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, that a

  messenger came to Job and said the oxen were plowing and the

  donkeys feeding beside them, and the Sabians attacked and took

  them away. Yes, they have killed the

  servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped

  to tell you. While he was still speaking,

  another also came and said, The fire of God has fallen from the

  sky and has burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed

  them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.

  While he was still speaking, another also came and said The

  Chaldeans made three bands and swept down on the camels and

  have taken them away. Yes, and killed the servants

  with the edge of the sword. And I alone have escaped to tell

  you. While he was still speaking,

  there came also another and said, Your sons and your

  daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest

  brother's house. And behold, there came a great

  wind from the wilderness and struck the four corners of the

  house, and it fell on the young men, and they are dead.

  I alone have escaped to tell you.

  Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head, and fell

  down on the ground and worshipped.

  He said, naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked will I
• 7:46
  return there Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away.

  Blessed be Yahweh's name in all this.

  Job didn't sin nor charge God with wrongdoing.

  Again, on the day when God's sons came to present themselves

  before Yahweh, Satan came also among them to present himself

  before Yahweh. Yahweh said to Satan.

  Where have you come from? Satan answered Yahweh and said

  from going back and forth in the earth and from walking up and

  down in it Yahweh. Said to Satan.

  Have you considered my servant job for there?

  Is no one like him in the earth? A blameless and an upright man,

  one who fears God and turns away from evil.

  He still maintains his integrity, although you incited
• 8:25
  me against him to ruin him without cause.

  Satan answered Yahweh and said skin for skin.

  Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.

  But stretch out your hand now and touch his bone and his
• 8:36
  flesh, and he will renounce you to your face.
• 8:40
  Yahweh said to Satan. Behold, he is in your hand, only
• 8:43
  spare his life. So Satan went out from the
• 8:46
  presence of Yahweh and struck Job with painful sores from the
• 8:49
  sole of his foot to his head. He took for himself a potsherd
• 8:53
  to scrape himself with, and he sat among the ashes.

  Then his wife said to him, Do you still maintain your
• 8:58
  integrity, renounce God and die? But he said to her, You speak as
• 9:03
  one of the foolish women would speak.
• 9:05
  What shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we
• 9:08
  not receive evil in all this? Job didn't sin with his lips.
• 9:12
  Now when Jobs three friends heard of all this evil that had
• 9:15
  come on him, they each came from his own place, Alyphus the
• 9:19
  Temenite build at the shoe height, and Zafar the Namathite,
• 9:22
  and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize
• 9:25
  with him and to comfort him. When they lifted up their eyes
• 9:28
  from a distance and didn't recognize him, they raised their
• 9:31
  voices and wept, and they each tore his robe and sprinkled dust
• 9:36
  on their heads toward the sky. So they sat down with him on the
• 9:39
  ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word
• 9:42
  to him, for they saw that his grief was very great.
• 9:47
