- 0:46computer and we'll come right back.
- 0:48So here we go. We are on my website,
- 0:50theaspyworld.com. Will you?
- 0:52If you go on my website and then click on autism test, I can put
- 0:55my name in my e-mail address. All right, click take test.
- 0:58So here's what happens. It's an AQ test, right?
- 1:01Autism quota test. And basically these are the
- 1:05sources from the papers that was compiled by some of the experts
- 1:08in the field of autism, which is pretty cool.
- 1:10And we are going to, oh, and just for your information guys,
- 1:14I've got some information at the bottom there for what to do
- 1:16before a diagnosis, what you can do, what to expect during a
- 1:19diagnosis process and what to do afterwards.
- 1:21But this is basically designed for people who are interested in
- 1:24taking the autism tests. So we'll go through it right
- 1:26now. So it's is a list of questions
- 1:28like this and then we'll just do the test together.
- 1:30Why not? So I prefer to do things other
- 1:34than on my own. I prefer to do things I
- 1:37disagree. I prefer to do things the same
- 1:39way over and over. I do agree.
- 1:41If I was to imagine something I find it easy to create a picture
- 1:45in my mind as a tricky one. For me personally, can I imagine
- 1:49things? Not too well.
- 1:51I frequently get strongly absorbed in one thing that I
- 1:55lose sight of as they hear all the time.
- 1:57I often notice small sounds when others do not.
- 1:59Yes, very much so. Actually a funny story about
- 2:02this when I was in an Asperger's Association meeting once we it
- 2:06was the summer and we were in this cafe.
- 2:08Listen to a speaker talk and then somebody walked past and
- 2:11made a noise and the only people in the room that turn and look
- 2:14towards the door are the people who are on the spectrum.
- 2:16Everybody else is kind of was still engaged and listened to
- 2:19the conversation. Very interesting.
- 2:21I usually notice car number plates and similar information.
- 2:24I do. Other people frequently tell me
- 2:26that what I've said is impolite. Oh, I have no filter, Right.
- 2:30You know, I think it's OK. I people say you can't say that.
- 2:33There's a story about one time I wasn't work and my boss was
- 2:36like, you can't talk to a client and call him, mate.
- 2:38You've got to speak to it. I was like, all right, mate,
- 2:39how's it going? This is an international client.
- 2:41This guy's a millionaire. You don't speak to him too.
- 2:43Shoot, I have no idea. Go back to it, when I'm reading
- 2:47a story I can easily imagine what the characters might look
- 2:50like but no idea. I remember once because I have
- 2:53dyslexia too. My high school teachers are like
- 2:55dude you have to read more to improve.
- 2:58Practice makes progress, which I do subscribe to.
- 3:00Practice does make progress and obviously reading does reading
- 3:03more does help. So I bought Harry Potter book,
- 3:05the first one ever. It's an additional 1 of Prisoner
- 3:07of Azkaban. True story.
- 3:09I still have it first edition book, but when I was trying to
- 3:12think about the characters, I was like, I couldn't even say
- 3:14Hermione. I couldn't read the word
- 3:15Hermione. Then I was like, what kind of
- 3:16person is this? I had no idea what they'd look
- 3:18like. OK, fascinated by dates.
- 3:21I am actually. And when I go to the store, I'm
- 3:24like, I tapped my card. People are like, oh, it's 1917,
- 3:28please like to pay. And my date was very interesting
- 3:30on 1977 worth of punk rock. OK, this social group, I can
- 3:35easily keep track of several different people's
- 3:37conversations. No way at all.
- 3:40I find social situations easy. I do not.
- 3:43I tend to notice details that others don't every single time.
- 3:46I am an attention to detail guy and I love spot the difference.
- 3:50I would rather go to the library than a party. 100% this happened
- 3:53so many times when I was in university.
- 3:55I used to go to the university library and not go out for
- 3:58drinks with anybody, just me and Tom.
- 4:00So the guy, he's also on the spectrum.
- 4:02We'd go and just smash out like awesome.
- 4:05I find making of stories easy. I disagree.
- 4:07It's hard to make up a good story right?
- 4:10I find myself drawn more strongly to people than to
- 4:14things. Oh I disagree, I have more
- 4:16attachment to things than I do people.
- 4:18Like remember once my mom got me one of these tactic skateboards
- 4:20when I was in high school? And yes I'm super old so I was
- 4:22in high school in the 90s and the tech deck was so cool but I
- 4:26traded it with some other guy for I.
- 4:28Don't know what? It was, I think I traded for
- 4:30Pokémon cards, but then I was so distraught because I had an
- 4:33attachment to this thing. It's like glitter tech deck.
- 4:36And he wouldn't trade back. And I was, I was destroyed.
- 4:39It was crazy. I tend to have very strong
- 4:42interests, which I get upset if I can't pursue 100%.
- 4:45I'm obsessed with marketing and learning about digital social
- 4:48media marketing and if I can't do that, I absolutely freak out.
- 4:52This is a huge sign of autism characteristic, right?
- 4:55Especially in adults. It's just in suggesting here, if
- 4:57you wanted A1 off consultation with me to talk over anything,
- 4:59if you want me to review something or talk to you about
- 5:01something or give you advice, you can actually book a
- 5:03one-on-one consultation with me for just 45 minutes down below
- 5:06and the link is in description down below.
- 5:08Or you can go to the askweworld.com/dan book.
- 5:12So DANB double OK and book me for a 1 to 1 consultation.
- 5:16All right, speak to you soon. I enjoy social chitchat.
- 5:19I disagree it's painful and you have to like we want to talk
- 5:22about stupid things like the weather or what they did that
- 5:24week like ever's rule. Like if it's not going to
- 5:26contribute towards the survival society why on earth you saying
- 5:29it right? OK night talk.
- 5:31It isn't always easy for others to get away to edgeways. 100% I
- 5:36talk too much, hence this video. I am fascinated by numbers.
- 5:40I am, when I'm reading a story I find it difficult to work out
- 5:43the characters intentions 100%. I don't particularly enjoy
- 5:47reading fiction. I agree.
- 5:49I was just about to say I don't understand characters
- 5:52intentions. So I never read fiction, only
- 5:53factual stuff. That's why I have to learn
- 5:55things all the time. I find it hard to make new
- 5:57friends. I do actually, because I find it
- 6:01easy to make acquaintances. But then I can't be friends with
- 6:04those people long term because I suck at maintaining good
- 6:08relationships. I notice this patterns and
- 6:10things all the time. Every single day.
- 6:12I would rather go to a theater than a museum.
- 6:15Oh no, I definitely go to a museum.
- 6:17It does not upset me if my daily routine is disturbed.
- 6:20I disagree. It upsets me a lot if my routine
- 6:22is disturbed. I frequently find that I don't
- 6:25know how to keep a conversation going because sometimes I'll be
- 6:29talking about something that I'm interested in and I can talk
- 6:32about it for hours. And if you're conversing with
- 6:33me, that's awesome. But as soon as that person like
- 6:36a disinterest in what I'm saying, like no idea how to keep
- 6:39a conversation going. If they say something from that
- 6:41perspective, I have no idea. OK Kind of easy to read between
- 6:44the lines when someone was talking to me.
- 6:46Absolutely not, this actually happened.
- 6:48I usually concentrate more on the whole picture rather than
- 6:53the small details. No, I am not very good at
- 6:57remembering phone numbers. I am not very good.
- 7:00No I disagree, I'm good at running phone numbers.
- 7:02I don't usually notice small changes in situations of
- 7:05people's appearances. No I do, I 100% do.
- 7:07Like, friend Tom once changed his trousers at lunch.
- 7:10Then he came back and I was like, dude, you've changed your
- 7:12trousers. Like going on.
- 7:13So yeah, you know how to tell if someone is listening to me or
- 7:17getting bored? No, I have no idea.
- 7:19I find it easy to do more than one thing at once.
- 7:22Disagree. That's difficult.
- 7:25Even though my ADHD brain wants me to do this, it's not
- 7:27achievable. When I talk on the phone, I'm
- 7:29not sure. When it's my tend to speak, I
- 7:32think I know. When it's my tend to speak.
- 7:34God, I think I don't know. I enjoy doing things
- 7:36spontaneously. Nope, I'm often the last ones
- 7:40down. The point of a joke.
- 7:40Yes, when I presented my friends always trick me with this stuff.
- 7:44They just they'd always do it. They made me believe that the
- 7:47actual name for a TomTom drum is called a Tom Mulhunt.
- 7:50This is a true story. My band is called Straight
- 7:52Jacket Legends. We were in the studio and they
- 7:53made me think that Tom's will call Tom Mules.
- 7:57I find it easy to work out what someone is thinking or feeling
- 8:01just by looking in the face. No way at all.
- 8:03I failed at this when I was doing my counseling course.
- 8:08If there is an interruption, I can switch back to what I was
- 8:11doing quickly. No, I'm good at social chitchat.
- 8:15No second time has happened. People often tell me I keep
- 8:19going on about the same thing. Yes, every day about 10X.
- 8:22I'm obsessed with 10X actions. When I was young I used to enjoy
- 8:26playing games involving pretending for the other
- 8:29children. No, I did not have to be a good
- 8:30thing. It was like making computers.
- 8:32Stuff like that. I collect information and
- 8:34categorize about categories of things like calories.
- 8:37But yes I do. I find I collect mattress
- 8:40pictures. It sounds crazy, but it's a
- 8:42thing. I find it difficult to imagine
- 8:45what it would be like to be someone else.
- 8:46I do find it difficult to version.
- 8:48Was always myself. I like to carefully plan any
- 8:51activity I participate in. Yes, I enjoy social occasions.
- 8:55I do not. I find it difficult to work out
- 8:57people's intentions. I do find it difficult.
- 9:00New situations make me anxious. 100%.
- 9:02I enjoy meeting new people. I do not.
- 9:04I am a good diplomat. I think so.
- 9:08I am not good at remembering people's dates of birth.
- 9:10I am terrible at remembering birth dates.
- 9:12I don't know mine, my girlfriends and my doubled up on
- 9:15Christmas Day. My girlfriend is vitally
- 9:17important to me, so I that I don't mind obviously find it
- 9:20very easy to play games with children that involve percent
- 9:24disagree. All right, see my results here
- 9:26we go like they go. This is the thing.
- 9:28OK, so 30 and 50 your score you're possibly autistic, but
- 9:32below 33 you're not really autistic.
- 9:35My score was 46 out of 50. Well, Needless to say, there was
- 9:39no surprises there. Now if you guys want to take
- 9:41this test, go to the link in my bio.
- 9:42I have linked this test in bio and I'll put it in a card here
- 9:45as well. Do the test, come back and tell
- 9:47me your score in the comment down below.
- 9:49I'm excited to see what your scores are.
