- 0:00Speaker 1: Backstreet Boys had their last concert at the Sphere for
- 0:03Speaker 1: the summer.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because they start back up during the holidays.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Right, but it was Saturday night, and so many people
- 0:09Speaker 1: were there. All three of the Jonas Brothers were there.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Donnie Wahlberg was there with Jenny McCarthy. What's cool about
- 0:15Speaker 1: Donnie Wahlberg to me is that there's the evolution. Donnie
- 0:19Speaker 1: Wahlberg was New Kids on the Block in the late 80s,
- 0:23Speaker 1: which was a boy band, and he's there watching the
- 0:25Speaker 1: Backstreet Boys, which was the boy band in the late nineties.
- 0:29Speaker 1: And then you got the boy band, the Jonas Brothers.
- 0:32Speaker 1: It was such a cool little thing to see. It
- 0:34Speaker 1: was like some sort of, it was like the Marvel
- 0:37Speaker 1: universe of boy bands. Yeah, it was really cool.
- 0:41Speaker 2: It was really cool.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Kyle, what are the three things we need to know today?
- 0:44Speaker 3: So Instagram has new rules for teens that include two
- 0:47Speaker 3: hour daily limit, No access from midnight to 6 a.m.
- 0:50Speaker 3: and no notifications during school. This is all because of
- 0:53Speaker 3: that big lawsuit. And I'm already wondering how quickly teenagers
- 0:56Speaker 3: are going to find a way around this. But for now,
- 0:58Speaker 3: those are the new rules. Now, remember Trump renaming Lake
- 1:02Speaker 3: Ontario Lake America and.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Canada was basically like, no, you're not. Well, Google Maps has.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Officially entered the chat because here in the United States,
- 1:09Speaker 3: if you Google Lake Ontario, it actually says Lake America.
- 1:13Speaker 3: But if you're in Canada and you Google Map it,
- 1:16Speaker 3: it still says Lake Ontario. So apparently the same lake
- 1:20Speaker 3: now just changes whenever you.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Cross the border. Somebody stole an entire.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Truck carrying more than 50,000 cans of PBR in California.
- 1:29Speaker 1: So that's a lot of beer.
- 1:31Speaker 2: That's $ 45, 000 worth of beer.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Street value, $ 60.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Here, they're like.
- 1:38Speaker 3: PBR is like kind of having fun with it. And
- 1:40Speaker 3: they're like, listen, we totally get wanting to brag to
- 1:43Speaker 3: your friends about this, but we kind of need our
- 1:45Speaker 3: beer back.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I'm not really sure.
- 1:49Speaker 3: How they're going to find.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:50Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I do not know how they're hiding it.
- 1:52Speaker 2: You know, somebody's going to be bragging about that.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Was this like a frat initiation thing?
- 1:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But yeah, I think their sense of humor is only
- 2:00Speaker 3: going to last so long if they don't get it back.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Completely changing gears here because there's a really scary situation
- 2:06Speaker 3: happening right here in Arizona. A flash flood ripped through
- 2:09Speaker 3: the Grand Canyon while people were hiking and camping. One
- 2:13Speaker 3: man passed away and 15 others are still missing. 60
- 2:17Speaker 3: people were rushed to the hospital. Bridges that they had
- 2:20Speaker 3: walked just 15 minutes earlier were completely washed away. You
- 2:24Speaker 3: were planning on going to the Grand Canyon and staying overnight.
- 2:26Speaker 3: All of those places are closed right now indefinitely. They
- 2:29Speaker 3: do not have a reopening time. So definitely thoughts and
- 2:32Speaker 3: prayers to the people, our first responders that are out
- 2:34Speaker 3: there trying to find people and giving families information. Also,
- 2:39Speaker 3: if you haven't been following baseball, watching the Diamondbacks right
- 2:42Speaker 3: now has gotten so suspenseful. So right now we actually
- 2:46Speaker 3: we have we are in the playoffs. But that could
- 2:50Speaker 3: change in an instant because we are only half a
- 2:52Speaker 3: game ahead of the San Diego Padres. So tonight the
- 2:56Speaker 3: D-backs actually start a three series, a three game series
- 2:59Speaker 3: against Philadelphia here tonight. And then the Padres start a
- 3:02Speaker 3: three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds. So we need to
- 3:06Speaker 3: just hope the Reds pummel the Padres so that we
- 3:09Speaker 3: can secure the bag. But this is like a day-to-day
- 3:13Speaker 3: situation for our D-backs. And definitely, like I said, very suspenseful.
- 3:16Speaker 3: But right now, we hold that playoff, that wildcard playoff position.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Whether we keep it kind of is up to us.
- 3:22Speaker 3: So let's go D-backs tonight and the rest of their games.
- 3:25Speaker 3: And that's what you need to know.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You know, we haven't even talked about this yet, but
- 3:28Speaker 1: Rich is here. Like you're in the studio.
- 3:31Speaker 2: I hobbled my way in. Thursday morning, you like fell
- 3:35Speaker 2: in the bathtub.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Wiped out, knee snapped, like knee popped, popped. And I
- 3:40Speaker 4: haven't been able to put any weight on it at all.
- 3:42Speaker 4: So I get my MRI this week, but I wanted
- 3:46Speaker 4: to be with you guys. I really missed you guys.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I'm glad you're in here. My wife last night's like,
- 3:50Speaker 2: this is stupid. Why are you going in?
- 3:51Speaker 4: I'm like, because I miss my crew. I don't want
- 3:54Speaker 4: you guys having too much fun without me.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Where you've got crutches here.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I do. And you get the MRI. Who knows if
- 3:59Speaker 1: they're going to make you do surgery or stuff. But
- 4:01Speaker 1: I was like talking to Noah about it. And I
- 4:02Speaker 1: was like, you know, he could. I thought maybe we
- 4:06Speaker 1: were going to lose you. I wasn't sure.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Because I hurt my leg. So extreme, Josh. Such an
- 4:11Speaker 2: extreme man.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So guess what? I don't know if you guys know
- 4:13Speaker 1: this or not, but we have a sister station. It's
- 4:16Speaker 1: a Christian-based sister station. It's Kiss Faith. I think it's
- 4:19Speaker 1: Kiss Faith. Kiss the Lord AM? It's a faith-based radio station.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And they were listening to what happened here on Friday.
- 4:28Speaker 1: We're talking about Rich having surgery and maybe not making it.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And I couldn't believe we pulled. Here's what happened on
- 4:32Speaker 1: the Christian radio station.
- 4:35Speaker 2: In the flood or the fire, you are with me
- 4:38Speaker 2: and you won't let go.
- 4:41Speaker 5: This is 1047 Faith AM Radio. Today, John Jay, over
- 4:47Speaker 5: at our secular station, has prepared a tribute to a
- 4:50Speaker 5: legend in our industry.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Radio's Rich Barrow.
- 4:53Speaker 4: I was just getting ready this morning, stepping into the
- 4:56Speaker 4: shower to get all clean for the day. Because I
- 4:58Speaker 4: love a morning shower. And my knee popped and it
- 5:01Speaker 4: just dropped me.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Rich is not here.
- 5:15Speaker 4: I was hunched over and naked. So I got cleaned
- 5:19Speaker 4: up and then I kind of scooted back to the bed.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I got checked out yesterday by both my primary doc
- 5:29Speaker 4: and then my physical therapy doc. They ordered an MRI,
- 5:36Speaker 4: which I didn't do yesterday because I was kind of
- 5:38Speaker 4: out of it.
- 5:40Speaker 6: But Rich.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Said he heard a pop before he fell into the bathtub.
- 5:53Speaker 6: Becoming who we are.
- 5:58Speaker 5: As my memory rests, but never.
- 6:03Speaker 6: Forgets what I lost. Wake me up when September ends.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Yes, I did the aptly test with my primary care.
- 6:16Speaker 4: She said you failed it.
- 6:21Speaker 6: But never forgets what I lost Wake me up when
- 6:25Speaker 6: September ends.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Your hamstring completely blew out. This has happened before. It
- 6:38Speaker 2: hurts so bad. Wake me up when September.
- 6:43Speaker 5: Ends Radio's Rich Barra collapsed in his own nudity Thursday morning.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Witnesses say he looked like a scared hermit crab who
- 6:58Speaker 5: lost his shell. He is survived by his castmates John Jay, Kyle, Peyton, Nick, Noah,
- 7:03Speaker 5: and Dylan. 22 years after a neck tumor nearly revealed
- 7:07Speaker 5: the stairway to heaven, Rich is tested yet again by
- 7:10Speaker 5: the cruelty this world has to offer. Send your thoughts
- 7:13Speaker 5: and prayers by texting FAITHRADIO to 96893.
- 7:16Speaker 2: They play Green Day over there? That's pretty sweet.
- 7:19Speaker 6: Very religious.
- 7:19Speaker 2: That's a great song. I'm glad you're here today, man.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I'm glad to be back.
