- 1:24Speaker 1: drinks with you, Red White and Blue Summer and Malik
- 1:29Speaker 1: Tillman is my favorite player. But I'm open to you know,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I'm open to add one, maybe two. They look like
- 1:38Speaker 1: they're twenty years old to me world class freak athletes. Incredible.
- 1:45Speaker 1: The way that they can move and move like that
- 1:49Speaker 1: without ever stopping, it's pretty incredible. So Bosnia out Belgium
- 1:57Speaker 1: next up. We need to find a way. Even though
- 1:59Speaker 1: they beat us five to two in March. You never know,
- 2:03Speaker 1: It's why you got to roll it out and maybe
- 2:05Speaker 1: we can make them uncomfortable and take it to the
- 2:08Speaker 1: uh to the last few minutes of the game and
- 2:12Speaker 1: maybe you know, kick one in or take it to
- 2:15Speaker 1: penalty kicks and somehow beat them. That'd be incredible, wouldn't it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: This place would be upside down. I mean, we're already
- 2:21Speaker 1: going to celebrate the next few days after the Bosnia win.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But man, you yeah, well we'll just we'll just tee
- 2:31Speaker 1: it up and uh and take on Belgium Monday night.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Monday night, you got more World Cup though for those
- 2:40Speaker 1: of you who like well and a lot of you
- 2:42Speaker 1: are just betting on it, which is fun within your budget.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But today we've got Spain, which you know of you've
- 2:51Speaker 1: listened to show. I love Spanish wine. It's my favorite
- 2:54Speaker 1: wine in the world, you know, by miles Spain versus Austria,
- 3:02Speaker 1: So I'll go for Spain, and I don't have anything
- 3:03Speaker 1: against Austria. Portugal against Croatia. I like Portuguese wine, so
- 3:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with Portugal over Croatia. And I don't
- 3:11Speaker 1: have anything against Croatia. And then we at night we've
- 3:14Speaker 1: got Switzerland against Algeria, and I don't really care. Uh,
- 3:18Speaker 1: so I'll go he flip a coin or go Switzerland.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Switzerland and I think prettier women. Oh well, yeah, so
- 3:29Speaker 1: uh I'll go with that. It sounds like people like
- 3:33Speaker 1: to hang out and drink wine in their ski resorts.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'd be really good at that. I mean I am
- 3:38Speaker 1: really good at that. I've actually have done that before
- 3:40Speaker 1: and I was good. So I like to go with
- 3:43Speaker 1: people and then they go and put the skis on
- 3:46Speaker 1: and then I go to the really cool bar and
- 3:48Speaker 1: find a great leather chair and then I can order
- 3:53Speaker 1: what I want. And I watched them out through the glass.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It works for me really really well. Bo Bounds ice
- 4:03Speaker 1: cream drinks butterfinger homemade ice cream over the weekend. Is
- 4:06Speaker 1: that what I think that's gonna have to be on
- 4:08Speaker 1: the at least on the agenda. Is it on the well?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Is it on the menu? The red, white and Blue
- 4:13Speaker 1: Menu had made it there yet, but it's it's on
- 4:16Speaker 1: the way, okay, in the process. All right, you know
- 4:20Speaker 1: I want a triple helping of potato salad. Do you
- 4:25Speaker 1: m hm? That's gonna be bad ten x maynaise. Man,
- 4:28Speaker 1: it's gonna be out oct This is this is the
- 4:33Speaker 1: biggest potato salad cole slow weekend of the year. It's
- 4:39Speaker 1: not close. I mean, people got up this morning dreaming
- 4:47Speaker 1: about making potato salad all over the country. It's terrible.
- 4:52Speaker 1: So it's on. You gotta have a bite, I think,
- 4:56Speaker 1: or tell me. If you do, you got to mix
- 4:58Speaker 1: it with your barbecue beans. I don't want those either,
- 5:02Speaker 1: so I'm good. I'm not a I'm not a baked
- 5:05Speaker 1: beans guy. I mean I've had them, but they're not good.
- 5:08Speaker 1: They're so good. No, they're not. They don't take I
- 5:12Speaker 1: mean they taste like shoe leather. No. Oh the sweet
- 5:16Speaker 1: ones are good. No oh no, they're even No. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: want I want to. I want a vinegar based but
- 5:22Speaker 1: I don't want Yeah they're healthy, they're healthy. Yeah, sweet
- 5:26Speaker 1: baked beans are super healthy. Sound healthy. That's what an
- 5:29Speaker 1: Indo chronologist is going to tell you so that he
- 5:32Speaker 1: can add to his nine thousand patient book of business. Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I mean, if you can't make eight hundred k a
- 5:39Speaker 1: year in the South as an indo chronologist, what are
- 5:42Speaker 1: you doing wrong? And I may be low, I don't
- 5:45Speaker 1: even know. I mean from from Austin, Texas to Savannah, Georgia,
- 5:51Speaker 1: it's got to be one of the top five job
- 5:53Speaker 1: I would imagine. Yeah, all right, Uh, the show is
- 5:56Speaker 1: brought to you by a Pittsburgh rare or medium rare
- 5:59Speaker 1: rackle or New York strip from Kessler Prime in the
- 6:03Speaker 1: Renaissance Kesslerprime dot Com to make a reservation. Pair that
- 6:08Speaker 1: with an Elijah Craig old fashioned boom, that's a win.
- 6:13Speaker 1: We're ESPN one oh five nine to the zone. All right,
- 6:16Speaker 1: ob Nation, are you with us this morning? We need
- 6:20Speaker 1: we need an out of bounds roll call? Do I
- 6:23Speaker 1: need to throw in a two rounds of golf to
- 6:25Speaker 1: Dancing Rabbit Golf Club. We have an out of bounds
- 6:29Speaker 1: Patriot hat. It's the red, white and blue oob and
- 6:33Speaker 1: out of bounds under it. It looks awesome. It's a
- 6:36Speaker 1: row pat or you can go with the truckers at
- 6:39Speaker 1: and then we'll do a little barswag for our fourth
- 6:41Speaker 1: of July, Red, White and Blue Summer America to fifty
- 6:48Speaker 1: United States continuing to win in the World Cup Prize
- 6:52Speaker 1: pack giveaway. Nice all right, so Texas six oh one
- 6:57Speaker 1: eight eight, five, three, seven six, And tell us how
- 7:02Speaker 1: you're listening one O five nine to zone or streaming,
- 7:06Speaker 1: where you're listening from? And what's on your menu this weekend?
- 7:12Speaker 1: What's on your menu this weekend? Ribs, homemade ice cream,
- 7:17Speaker 1: you're doing a brisket, You're doing some pulled pork, you're
- 7:21Speaker 1: smoking some chicken. Maybe you're gonna have some wings. What
- 7:25Speaker 1: is on the menu for you? Six oh one eight
- 7:29Speaker 1: eight five three seven seven six. That's how you enter
- 7:34Speaker 1: and you could win two rounds of golf to Dancing
- 7:36Speaker 1: Rabbit Golf Club, a super cool OOB Patriot hat, and
- 7:40Speaker 1: we'll throw in some Tito swag. I may find some
- 7:43Speaker 1: michelob Ultra stuff back there too. I am expecting some
- 7:47Speaker 1: koozies from michelob Ultra. They're the red, white and blue
- 7:51Speaker 1: soccer jersey thing. They're really cool. I picked up a
- 7:55Speaker 1: couple last week or whenever I was with the Ultra
- 7:58Speaker 1: guys at Ponder and Public. They were handing them out there.
- 8:02Speaker 1: They fit perfectly on a Michelobultra or Budweiser bottle. So
- 8:10Speaker 1: highly recommend and if we get them, I'm giving them away.
- 8:13Speaker 1: But that's the OOB Red, White and Blue prize pack
- 8:18Speaker 1: giveaway with golf at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club. OOB merch
- 8:23Speaker 1: and Tito's swag. Is that good? Enter? What's on the menu?
- 8:29Speaker 1: What's on the menu this weekend? Jackson's got butterfinger homemade
- 8:33Speaker 1: ice cream. Yeah. You can also pick up some steaks
- 8:37Speaker 1: from Flora butcher or that stuffed pork chop and then
- 8:42Speaker 1: you can hit rain Cellars. What you got. I just
- 8:44Speaker 1: looking at the text line, this is just quite humorous. Uh.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You got the six old one Aercoe car radio. That's
- 8:50Speaker 1: where they're listening from. They're eating Glizzies. They're Joey Chestnut style,
- 8:54Speaker 1: I mean hot dogs. The glizzy. I think I found
- 9:04Speaker 1: some quality hot dogs from like a place almost like
- 9:07Speaker 1: Snake River Farms and that's like super high quality whatever.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But yeah, you throw one of those on the grill
- 9:17Speaker 1: and put a little of those you know, seared marks
- 9:20Speaker 1: on there. Ah yeah yeah, and it's hot coming off
- 9:23Speaker 1: the grill, and then you put some cold mustard on
- 9:26Speaker 1: there with an nice cold Budweiser. Yep, that's red, white
- 9:32Speaker 1: and blue. I could see you doing that. I did
- 9:34Speaker 1: it last night, Yeah, I did. Okay, jambal last night,
- 9:38Speaker 1: same thing. All right. This guy is listening in Indianola, Mississippi.
- 9:43Speaker 1: He's cooking a port butt and smoked wings this weekend.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Back in a second. Oh look at that. Oh yeah,
- 10:26Speaker 1: out of bounds ESPN one oh five nine the zone.
- 10:35Speaker 1: It's a USA red white and blue summer. Good morning,
- 10:41Speaker 1: welcome inn, I'm your host, Bo Bounds. And look at this?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Is this the underdog corn Dog Bowl? Interesting, we're the
- 10:55Speaker 1: underdogs Monday against Belgium. Okay, are the betting lines already out? Okay,
- 11:03Speaker 1: well that was a rhetorical question. So actually, when you
- 11:07Speaker 1: see the betting lines, let me know, firecrackers and free kicks.
- 11:14Speaker 1: How about that? That's what you got. We won, We
- 11:18Speaker 1: beat Bosnia, we played Belgium. You're excited. I'm excited. The
- 11:22Speaker 1: country partied all last night, especially all the young people
- 11:25Speaker 1: on break and so on. Awesome to see, and I'm
- 11:30Speaker 1: sure the floor Obama was nuts. Roll Todd Ron Fowler
- 11:35Speaker 1: joined us at seven thirty today and we did twenty
- 11:39Speaker 1: four minutes on Alabama football and the collapse losing to
- 11:44Speaker 1: Indiana thirty eight to three, and they're in the seven
- 11:49Speaker 1: stages of grief and so things will never be the
- 11:54Speaker 1: same as they can never stock pile talent like they
- 11:58Speaker 1: did during the same era. However, they've retained ninety five
- 12:04Speaker 1: percent of their players the last couple of years and
- 12:07Speaker 1: role tide. Ryan Fowler believes that this will be the
- 12:09Speaker 1: best defense in a while at the University of Alabama.
- 12:16Speaker 1: They didn't feel like they used Will Anderson right, and
- 12:19Speaker 1: that was a while ago. And then I think Caine
- 12:23Speaker 1: Womack has been solid. But they feel like they're bringing
- 12:29Speaker 1: back some dudes. And their first five games for Bama
- 12:33Speaker 1: is a cakewalk. Actually, out of their first five, their
- 12:37Speaker 1: toughest one is at Mississippi State. I guess Florida State
- 12:42Speaker 1: at home, and South Carolina at home at Kentucky. I mean,
- 12:46Speaker 1: there's not a lot there period, Okay, but because at
- 12:49Speaker 1: Kentucky are Kentucky, Florida State, South Carolina, Misissippi State are
- 12:54Speaker 1: not expected to do anything amazing in football. Although South Carolina,
- 13:03Speaker 1: again I'm intrigued. They've had a good defensive coordinator that's
- 13:07Speaker 1: carried the program for years they've been abysmal on offense,
- 13:12Speaker 1: not because necessarily a personnel. Just Shane couldn't beam er,
- 13:17Speaker 1: good guy, couldn't figure out who to hire because you know,
- 13:21Speaker 1: just part of the deal. And that's where most coach
- 13:24Speaker 1: coaches miss Look at Jeff Levy, I mean he's missed
- 13:28Speaker 1: on his staff. But Shane hiring Kendall Brows, who you know,
- 13:40Speaker 1: part of that Baylor deal. But then going down with
- 13:44Speaker 1: Blane Kiff in the Florida Atlantic and Lane wanted Kendall
- 13:48Speaker 1: Brows as much as Kendall Brows needed a job as
- 13:52Speaker 1: OC at the time, and it worked out. They had
- 13:54Speaker 1: a good partnership. And then of course Kendall went to
- 13:58Speaker 1: Arkansas and with limited assets and resources, I mean they
- 14:03Speaker 1: have plenty I'm talking about players, they were able to
- 14:07Speaker 1: make some stuff happen. And as soon as they won,
- 14:10Speaker 1: was it nine games? Kendall got out of there and
- 14:14Speaker 1: went to TCU, right, Yeah, And now he's with Shane
- 14:19Speaker 1: Beemer at South Carolina. He's got a guy named Leonora
- 14:21Speaker 1: Sellers that Todd McShay, NFL draft guy a lot of
- 14:26Speaker 1: people believe will be a first round pick with the
- 14:29Speaker 1: skill set, and Kendall will will make him even better.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Out of those teams Kentucky, Florida State, South Carolina, and
- 14:36Speaker 1: Mississippi State, I'd probably give South Carolina as having, you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: the best season, and not that any of them will
- 14:44Speaker 1: have any kind of rock star season. And I don't
- 14:46Speaker 1: know who Florida State plays. I mean, they should be
- 14:50Speaker 1: better than they are, but since Jimbo burned it down
- 14:53Speaker 1: and then they hired Willie Taggert and then I can't
- 14:57Speaker 1: remember if there was someone else, and now Mike norbel well,
- 15:01Speaker 1: they haven't quite been able to get it back on
- 15:03Speaker 1: track under other than Norvelle's season three years ago. And
- 15:07Speaker 1: they lost their their star quarterback right there at the
- 15:10Speaker 1: end of the season and got and got deemed for it,
- 15:14Speaker 1: but haven't really recovered since. So you got Will Stein,
- 15:22Speaker 1: which none of you know, at Kentucky new head coach
- 15:25Speaker 1: Oregon OC. You have Mike Norvelle at Florida State. You
- 15:30Speaker 1: have Shane Beemer at South Carolina, who you know either
- 15:33Speaker 1: as Frank Beemer's son or he coached a couple of
- 15:36Speaker 1: years under Sylvester Crome at Mississippi State. And then Bama
- 15:41Speaker 1: plays at Mississippi State October third, and that's against Jeff Levy,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and we'll see how much Jeff Levy's grown and learned
- 15:52Speaker 1: and evolved and and so on here in the next
- 15:56Speaker 1: couple of months, going in two year three. I mean,
- 15:59Speaker 1: we'll see if you can turn this. Evidently you're damn
- 16:03Speaker 1: determined to see if this thing will go even after
- 16:07Speaker 1: seven and eighteen and one in fifteen, So we'll see
- 16:10Speaker 1: how that looks for MSU Bama in the seven stages
- 16:15Speaker 1: of grief is delicious in football. I've said that you
- 16:19Speaker 1: know they've won enough. Now they don't let you know
- 16:23Speaker 1: they they've already won enough. They can never win again
- 16:26Speaker 1: and they've won enough. Let's be honest, SEC fans, nations,
- 16:33Speaker 1: did you enjoy seeing Bama get their doors blown off
- 16:38Speaker 1: in the Rose Bowl last year in the college football
- 16:42Speaker 1: playoff game against a basketball school in Indiana and get
- 16:46Speaker 1: dominated thirty eight to three. The text line is six
- 16:50Speaker 1: zho one eight eight five three seven seven six. Also
- 16:55Speaker 1: something that jumped out at me from Ryan Fowler was
- 16:58Speaker 1: not many people connected with Kurt Signetti while he was
- 17:02Speaker 1: an assistant coach at Bama. That does not surprise me
- 17:06Speaker 1: at all. Kurt Signetti is a lot like Mike Leach.
- 17:12Speaker 1: End Lane and Dan Mullen, but not as much. Okay,
- 17:16Speaker 1: coaches that are on the spectrum but can still be
- 17:20Speaker 1: absolutely brilliant. And it does not in a meet y'all know.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I use this in a meatballying sport in football, where
- 17:34Speaker 1: like coaches like to meet ball out in the locker
- 17:37Speaker 1: room and on the on the practice field. I am
- 17:40Speaker 1: not surprised that Kurt Signetti, who comes off as a
- 17:44Speaker 1: nuclear engineering professor where people would look at him in
- 17:51Speaker 1: the Alabama building and go, that guy's odd, weird and quirky,
- 17:56Speaker 1: and I can't really he's not going to be the
- 17:58Speaker 1: guy maybe that goes over to another assistant coach's house
- 18:03Speaker 1: who invites several more and they throw protein on the
- 18:08Speaker 1: grill and open cold beers. Not that he doesn't like
- 18:10Speaker 1: a cold beer or a rib, but Signetti's just kind
- 18:14Speaker 1: of ore two detooish. He's, you know, always calculating well,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and I think because he's so bright and intellectual, he's
- 18:28Speaker 1: operating at a different level than than the typical coach
- 18:31Speaker 1: that would be walking through the Alabama football building. Yeah. Yeah,
- 18:35Speaker 1: and he just beat Alabama thirty eight to three, and
- 18:38Speaker 1: he I mean, he had to be sitting there going.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I was in the building with Nick Saban for several years.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I know how they operate. I know the caliber of
- 18:48Speaker 1: athlete that they get. And that was again, that was
- 18:51Speaker 1: back when Nick could stack it. Yeah, right, eleven twelve
- 18:55Speaker 1: was when Signetti was there, among other years. And think
- 18:59Speaker 1: about he knows the NFL talent that walked through that
- 19:05Speaker 1: building left and right. And he took his Indiana Hoosiers
- 19:10Speaker 1: team to the Rose Bowl, okay, and beat them by
- 19:14Speaker 1: six touchdowns. Now say that out loud, and then ran Oregon,
- 19:22Speaker 1: who had spent a lot more money on their team
- 19:25Speaker 1: too and had top five after top five class and
- 19:30Speaker 1: Dan Lanning has an unlimited budget, and then he absolutely
- 19:35Speaker 1: ran Oregon out of the stadium. That's Kurt Signetti or
- 19:43Speaker 1: Darth Vader, whatever you want to say, live in the
- 19:46Speaker 1: Bank plus studio. All right, and we're off. They're gonna
- 20:09Speaker 1: get Daddy the Rainman. Sweet you dig that. We're going
- 20:12Speaker 1: to Vegas, Mike, Vegas. Do you think we get there?
- 20:14Speaker 1: My midnight money, We're gonna be up five by midlight, Veas, Vegas,
- 20:19Speaker 1: Baby Vegas, out of bounds. ESPN one oh five nine.
- 20:28Speaker 1: The Zone brought to you by Superior Foundation for all
- 20:34Speaker 1: your foundation repairs French trains and driveways, parking lots, Superior
- 20:42Speaker 1: Superior dot MS, number one foundation company in Mississippi, Superior
- 20:48Speaker 1: dot MS, Todd Sandridge and Trey Pace call them today.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Their work is backed with a warranty Superior Superior dot MS,
- 20:58Speaker 1: Bow Bounds and ice cream drinks here on the Red,
- 21:04Speaker 1: White and Blue Summer Tour. We'll be back at Pearl
- 21:08Speaker 1: River Resort late next week. Big big golf tournament there
- 21:13Speaker 1: I'm excited about, and so that will be fun. And
- 21:18Speaker 1: Jackson Meadows cannot wait to hammer some potato salad this weekend.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Y'all make sure to send Jay Meadows some potato salad
- 21:30Speaker 1: and Coleslaw. What do you think actually ate Coleslaw yesterday? Cool?
- 21:35Speaker 1: It was an accident, Okay, but you know B three
- 21:38Speaker 1: he's got some heater tacos available out here in Madison,
- 21:41Speaker 1: oh Man. People are raving about Burgers, Blues Barbecue, Dogwood,
- 21:48Speaker 1: Flowood and Madison tacos, which I think is a great
- 21:55Speaker 1: move for Steven and the crew. No doubt they only
- 21:58Speaker 1: do them in Madison though, Okay, only in Madison, Madison
- 22:02Speaker 1: Burger's Blues Barbecue, B three Tacos taco is the little
- 22:06Speaker 1: trial did you have one? Oh? Yeah, which one did
- 22:09Speaker 1: you win with? The which brisket tacos? Yesterday? But yeah,
- 22:12Speaker 1: they got those. They got the Southwest tacos. So oh,
- 22:16Speaker 1: I love anything Southwest something something. Oh we got a Okay,
- 22:22Speaker 1: we got one of each. Okay, that's Southwest taco is
- 22:26Speaker 1: calling my name. It's really good. Okay. Well it's perfect
- 22:29Speaker 1: for launch too, because it's light enough to where you
- 22:31Speaker 1: don't have to go home and take a nap. Love it,
- 22:33Speaker 1: love it, I mean, Okay, my buddy Steven on the
- 22:39Speaker 1: text line says, my guy has USA at minus one twenty.
- 22:43Speaker 1: He's already got that kind of what you were thinking.
- 22:45Speaker 1: It's minus yeah, that's what it is. Okay, unless you
- 22:48Speaker 1: include the ties, it's about plus one fifty eight plus
- 22:51Speaker 1: one sixty five Belgium and then plus two thirty on
- 22:54Speaker 1: the tie. Okay, which is what do you think the
- 22:57Speaker 1: United States is tilted? It's they are technically a favorite,
- 23:01Speaker 1: even though it's very very close to even, but they're
- 23:04Speaker 1: technically a little bit more favorite, to let's say that,
- 23:08Speaker 1: than Belgium. I can't believe that, Okay, a month ago,
- 23:12Speaker 1: it's not the case. Brad oh well, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 1: I love it. I love that we're winning and we're
- 23:20Speaker 1: hosting the greatest We're the best host in the history
- 23:25Speaker 1: of World Cup history, and I love that. And watching again,
- 23:30Speaker 1: watching all the people come in from other countries and
- 23:35Speaker 1: celebrate the USA is really cool. Did you see this?
- 23:40Speaker 1: Brad's on the Dancing Rabbit golf text line commiss are
- 23:44Speaker 1: you baking cookies for the fourth? So you were You
- 23:47Speaker 1: were a baker during COVID for almost two years at least,
- 23:54Speaker 1: and probably should have opened a bakery. Well you basically
- 24:01Speaker 1: did out of your house, which so anyway, because you
- 24:04Speaker 1: made you told us how much money you made. It
- 24:06Speaker 1: was like ten or eleven thousand dollars. It was. It
- 24:08Speaker 1: was not bad cooking cookies. Cook excuse me. We called
- 24:13Speaker 1: you something but I can't remember what it was, but
- 24:16Speaker 1: it was really funny. Oh you're a pastry chef. Yeah,
- 24:20Speaker 1: that is fat, That's what it was. You became a
- 24:23Speaker 1: pastry chef during COVID. Yeah, incredible. I felt good about it.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Do you are you willing to to bake some cookies
- 24:30Speaker 1: this weekend? We've got a long weekend selling the the
- 24:34Speaker 1: celebrating America to fifties. Yeah, I've been flicking my wrists
- 24:39Speaker 1: for so long now. Yeah, you know, I got to
- 24:42Speaker 1: choose when to flick my wrists. Uh, and I flicked
- 24:45Speaker 1: it last night. Man cooking JAMBLI, So my wrist is
- 24:47Speaker 1: kind I need to give it a day or two.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Did you cook jambalai some jambla? I put that? What
- 24:51Speaker 1: in the hell? Well that made you decide to cook anything?
- 24:56Speaker 1: Hold me from Clinton? Drew? Do I know? Drew? He
- 25:00Speaker 1: brought us the he brought us the deer meat. Oh
- 25:05Speaker 1: Drew that won the the Tito's Prize pack or the
- 25:09Speaker 1: Elijah Elijah Krai. Okay, yeah, that's right, okay, Yeah, and
- 25:14Speaker 1: then you dropped me because obviously I needed to cook it.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And it's really good. Oh. I took the sausage. And
- 25:23Speaker 1: you made jambla jam last night. It was like eleven o'clock.
- 25:27Speaker 1: You made jambla at eleven o'clock? So good? Was McKenzie
- 25:31Speaker 1: still up? No dad a sleep? So you made jambalayah
- 25:37Speaker 1: by yourself last night? Yeah? I at home till wow.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I was doing things till like nine thirty. Okay, so
- 25:43Speaker 1: I had to get home and you know, get after
- 25:45Speaker 1: it and then you you you made it and it
- 25:47Speaker 1: was good, so good all right, you know, it was
- 25:49Speaker 1: very pleased. I cut up an okrah and put it
- 25:52Speaker 1: in there. I can't believe it. I don't know you
- 25:56Speaker 1: cut up an okra. Yeah. I went to my buddies. Uh.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I went to a garden around the corner from the
- 26:02Speaker 1: house in uh east over, Okay, and he let me
- 26:05Speaker 1: read it. Okay, that makes shift. Yeah, he was like, here,
- 26:07Speaker 1: just take your pick. I was like, I don't know
- 26:08Speaker 1: what I need. I don't know what I want. He said, well, right,
- 26:10Speaker 1: we'll hold the bag out. Okay. You started, you know,
- 26:12Speaker 1: picking and throwing. So you remembered you had some fresh vegetables,
- 26:17Speaker 1: which is awesome. Yes, you know, I've gotten into going
- 26:21Speaker 1: and they were good. I've now turned into that they
- 26:24Speaker 1: were person. I go to the farmer's market and I
- 26:27Speaker 1: love it. Yeah. Farmers trucks rule, and they do rule,
- 26:31Speaker 1: and some are better than others. But you cut up
- 26:35Speaker 1: an okra and put it in your jambalai. Yeah, damn Nations,
- 26:39Speaker 1: I've impressed. Un believable. It was impressive. I never thought
- 26:45Speaker 1: that you would tell me that one that you cooked jambalaya,
- 26:48Speaker 1: two that you actually cut up an okra to put
- 26:51Speaker 1: it in your jambalai. Now I'll be cooking jambla a while.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Is that something you've been doing with Yeah, my mom
- 26:56Speaker 1: taught me that when I was a kid. Okay, godness,
- 26:58Speaker 1: I knew how to do that one. Okay, Brad says
- 27:02Speaker 1: that you are no mister d X says you're the
- 27:06Speaker 1: bootleg baker. I like that. So you were bootlegging baked goods,
- 27:14Speaker 1: baked pastry cookies out of your house and made over
- 27:18Speaker 1: ten thousand dollars at least. It's incredible a minimum. In fact,
- 27:23Speaker 1: I think we had. I wish i'd have written it down.
- 27:26Speaker 1: We went over it, and maybe it was a it
- 27:29Speaker 1: was more than that. I'm just very thankful for that time. Yeah,
- 27:33Speaker 1: I wish we could go back. You should have been
- 27:35Speaker 1: on if you just started a YouTube channel, then, oh
- 27:38Speaker 1: my god, and just YouTube yourself cooking, you would It
- 27:44Speaker 1: would have been incredible, unbelievable, it would have There's got
- 27:50Speaker 1: to be some I know that it's pretty hard to
- 27:52Speaker 1: violate a lot of things now, you know, because they
- 27:54Speaker 1: allow a lot of things on the Internet. Right some way, somehow,
- 27:57Speaker 1: we've got to take it down, says the commission is
- 28:01Speaker 1: showing range. All right, RT on the Dancing Rabbit Golf
- 28:06Speaker 1: text line said, your new nickname is JJ, Jambala Jackson,
- 28:12Speaker 1: Jambala Action Jackson, or just Jambala Jackson. Okay, all right,
- 28:17Speaker 1: we've got uh it's also my initials, oh JJ JJ
- 28:24Speaker 1: really Joseph Jackson. Oh I didn't know that. So your
- 28:29Speaker 1: your initials are already JJ they are. Well, we may
- 28:33Speaker 1: have to. You've you've got more nicknames than anybody that's
- 28:38Speaker 1: ever worked with me. That's a good thing. Yeah, so
- 28:41Speaker 1: you're straight funk, double down and ice cream drink. Right.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Then we have to figure out if we can add
- 28:49Speaker 1: one more. Yeah, provides anonymity, that's right. How you say
- 28:53Speaker 1: that word? But no, well you did good. Nick is
- 28:56Speaker 1: on the Dancing Rabbit Golf text line, my daughter picked
- 29:00Speaker 1: to cucumber right off the van and bit into it
- 29:04Speaker 1: like an apple. Okay. I like cucumbers, especially freshing, fresh
- 29:10Speaker 1: ones like the one that Nick is referencing. Artist says
- 29:15Speaker 1: midnight pastry chef. That's what it does. Yeah, were you
- 29:19Speaker 1: baking it at midnight one and two a lot deep
- 29:22Speaker 1: in the mornings. Yeah, yeah, I mean I wouldn't up
- 29:24Speaker 1: till about Hey, you know at least three two three
- 29:28Speaker 1: in the afternoon, was getting up at like a twelve
- 29:31Speaker 1: or eleven thirty okay, during the eleven to twelve o'clock. Yeah,
- 29:35Speaker 1: during the pandemic. Okay, okay, golly, the the fake pandemic.
- 29:42Speaker 1: The band that's where we ran up them. Bands made
- 29:44Speaker 1: some money bands. We call it bands. Oh, because you
- 29:48Speaker 1: were doing the side hustle of the chef or something. Money. Okay,
- 29:51Speaker 1: I got it. Pandemic good, wasn't the pan And we
- 29:54Speaker 1: were all right out there, yeah, out of bounds. You
- 29:57Speaker 1: were all right out of bounds. ESP. One oh five
- 30:02Speaker 1: nine The Zone, Live in the Bank plus Studio. Don't
- 30:07Speaker 1: forget that. Our podcast is on Spotify search out of
- 30:12Speaker 1: Bounds with Bow Bounds. We would love for you to
- 30:14Speaker 1: subscribe Spotify out of Bounds with Bow Bounds, so Artis
- 30:21Speaker 1: says Jackson's Financial Pinnacle during COVID no doubt. Yeah, yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 1: just bring it back. I would go through that so
- 30:31Speaker 1: many times over and over. What was your number one
- 30:33Speaker 1: seller as a cookie? I would have been, uh of
- 30:36Speaker 1: the fun fetty fun fetty and I had the reeses uh.
- 30:41Speaker 1: I mean the reasons were good. The butterscotchs were good,
- 30:44Speaker 1: but the one of sandwiches were good. The Reeseus sandwiches. Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 1: you know, get little icing and put it in the
- 30:49Speaker 1: middle of two of them. You know, the cookie sandwiches. Okay,
- 30:52Speaker 1: like they do downstairs. Oh those look amazing. I've never
- 30:56Speaker 1: had one, but my god, Beagle Bagel and Madison and
- 31:00Speaker 1: had about sixty or seventy cookies laid out today and
- 31:05Speaker 1: they're all red, white and blue. They've got fun things.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Uh what do you call you're doing that with the
- 31:11Speaker 1: icing designs? Yeah, riding with the icings. But they've got
- 31:16Speaker 1: some talented young people down there that come up with
- 31:20Speaker 1: all kinds of fun stuff. They've got red, white and
- 31:22Speaker 1: blue cookies for days at Beagle Bagel in Madison to
- 31:25Speaker 1: kill it, and they're beautiful. It's one guy there. Yeah,
- 31:28Speaker 1: he's really so good. Yeah he was. He was down
- 31:32Speaker 1: there this morning light like he was. I mean he
- 31:35Speaker 1: was in the movie. Yeah. He's locked in and making
- 31:39Speaker 1: it look I couldn't do it. He's making it look great.
- 31:41Speaker 1: He had all the different colors of icing out obviously
- 31:45Speaker 1: red and blue, but white and I don't know what else.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Uh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, they look there their little
- 31:53Speaker 1: deli area of sweets already looks great. But they've got
- 31:55Speaker 1: cookies for days if you want to pick up a
- 31:57Speaker 1: few for your peeps. At Beagle Bagel and Madison, they've
- 32:06Speaker 1: got a couple of pastry chefs down there. They are
- 32:08Speaker 1: ballers that they do seriously. Oh like b Tom. Yeah.
- 32:12Speaker 1: What they've done the last couple of years during all
- 32:14Speaker 1: the different holidays is impressive. It's National Disco Day. Oh
- 32:22Speaker 1: do you like disco? I love disco. You would have
- 32:27Speaker 1: been perfect in nineteen seventy eight, being about twenty twenty
- 32:31Speaker 1: one years old. Doubt. I mean you would have gravitated
- 32:35Speaker 1: to John Trabolto right out of the gate. Yes, yeah, yeah, no,
- 32:42Speaker 1: no doubt. What do you think the top? You are
- 32:44Speaker 1: both Italian? That's right? Is I? Forget about that? Yeah,
- 32:48Speaker 1: forget about that old Johnny right y? You like him? Yeah?
- 32:55Speaker 1: You know, I mean, hell of an actor. He is
- 32:57Speaker 1: a really good actor. He is a really good actor.
- 33:00Speaker 1: So he's tailed off though, well he's of course, I
- 33:04Speaker 1: don't know what he is. How he's sixty five? He's
- 33:08Speaker 1: that young. I don't know older than that. He may
- 33:11Speaker 1: be old. God, that's a good question. Seventy two Travolta
- 33:15Speaker 1: is seventy two. Wow, damn nation, Wow, what a run.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I mean pulp fiction that was ninety five ish, yeah,
- 33:26Speaker 1: thirty years ago. Yeah. But what I'm talking about when
- 33:30Speaker 1: he when he cut his teeth coming out of the
- 33:31Speaker 1: late seventies. Yeah, here in the disco fever rimet right
- 33:35Speaker 1: right right is fever? Yeah, and and doing Greece and
- 33:39Speaker 1: all that, because he was just as much a musical
- 33:42Speaker 1: Broadway actor as he was on the screen. That's why
- 33:46Speaker 1: he was so versatile and talented, was his ability to
- 33:53Speaker 1: bring his broad Way scenes to the screen films, Yeah,
- 33:57Speaker 1: to the screen to be well. I mean, looking back
- 34:00Speaker 1: in nineteen to seventy eight, the year in the you
- 34:03Speaker 1: know the top five songs, Two of them were held
- 34:05Speaker 1: down by the Beg's and I love the Beg's. Well
- 34:07Speaker 1: they're fantastic, what were they night? Fever was number two,
- 34:11Speaker 1: staying alive of course at number four. Great songs still
- 34:18Speaker 1: played today all the time, all the time, all the
- 34:21Speaker 1: time with people and even either on their iPhone keep
- 34:24Speaker 1: playing it or at a party, I mean, and young
- 34:28Speaker 1: people will always have that always, yeah, And movies will
- 34:33Speaker 1: always have that song in there. Sure they use it religiously.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Wonder how much the Beg's have made like generated because
- 34:41Speaker 1: their songs are still played at a super super high level,
- 34:48Speaker 1: and how many, if any, are still alive. We are
- 34:52Speaker 1: the Out of Bounds Show, ESPN One five nine, The
- 34:57Speaker 1: Zone bo Bounds and ice cream Drinks hanging out with you.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I don't know what happened, but Jackson Meadows cooked jambalaya, Yes,
- 35:07Speaker 1: last night at eleven. Well it got done at eleven o'clock.
- 35:10Speaker 1: I guess she started cooking at at nine thirty or ten. Yeah,
- 35:14Speaker 1: and I am just as flored as you are. Yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 1: I was do and he may break out his COVID
- 35:21Speaker 1: pastry chef kind of bob and cook some bake some
- 35:29Speaker 1: cookies over the weekend. I did a pop up shop,
- 35:31Speaker 1: I'd sell out. I guarantee it you would, because you
- 35:35Speaker 1: could promoted here. I know I would. And the people
- 35:37Speaker 1: that were buying them then would come right back to me. Yeah, yeah,
- 35:40Speaker 1: they would come say hello, for sure. How many cookies
- 35:42Speaker 1: do you think you would sell a week Jo when
- 35:45Speaker 1: you were doing the pastry chef thing, bootleg Baker, I
- 35:49Speaker 1: mean they were coming to get dozens at a time, Okay,
- 35:51Speaker 1: So I mean it was you know if I saw six, seven, eight,
- 35:53Speaker 1: ten nine, you know the ten twenty people a week
- 35:57Speaker 1: sometimes a lot of cookies. Man, two hundred cookies, one
- 36:01Speaker 1: hundred fifty cookies a week. Okay, that's impressive. It was
- 36:04Speaker 1: a lot of cookies. Well, I mean I have to
- 36:05Speaker 1: cook about forty eight at night? Is that what you
- 36:08Speaker 1: were doing to But two batches a night, two batches
- 36:10Speaker 1: a night. They kept it rolling. And what was the reesus? Yeah?
- 36:14Speaker 1: Now the reeses were good? That's what I would have liked.
- 36:16Speaker 1: What was the fetti? What was in that? Uh? It?
- 36:20Speaker 1: Can you say your sprinkles and whatnot? You? Yeah, I
- 36:23Speaker 1: don't like that sprink I won't. I want chocolate or caramel. Okay,
- 36:26Speaker 1: got it's see. You do like the uh the butterscotch
- 36:30Speaker 1: were good? I like, I like. I mean, it's not
- 36:33Speaker 1: something I crave, right, But you know, I'm thinking like
- 36:37Speaker 1: some Frangelica and ice cream. You know, you get a
- 36:41Speaker 1: good snipper glass, your poor little just a little little
- 36:45Speaker 1: bit of fra Angelica and then you put some really
- 36:48Speaker 1: really good, high quality vanilla ice cream on there. That's good.
- 36:53Speaker 1: So that's pretty good. After you smash some ribs or
- 36:55Speaker 1: steak or whatever, you're doing a brisket over the weekend.
- 36:58Speaker 1: You do like the it would have been the real
- 37:00Speaker 1: velvet cake. No, I don't like. I'm chocolate caramel and
- 37:06Speaker 1: and and a little bit of butterfinger, and that cake
- 37:10Speaker 1: was just chocolate cake. I like, love, love pecann. I
- 37:16Speaker 1: did break up some pecan throm into something. Walnuts. It's
- 37:20Speaker 1: a big walnut. Really love walnuts. You do the brain food, yeah,
- 37:27Speaker 1: I don't, And they maybe, but we would need to
- 37:32Speaker 1: get an update from somebody like Theer Maine or somebody.
- 37:35Speaker 1: There's no way those things are brain food. I think
- 37:40Speaker 1: maybe some of the things that they told us about
- 37:43Speaker 1: eating well everything they've told us. But but I think
- 37:49Speaker 1: the whole because I went through this stage, the eating
- 37:53Speaker 1: raw almonds thing, I don't. I don't know. I don't
- 37:57Speaker 1: do it anymore. I need to. We need to ask
- 38:00Speaker 1: your Maine or somebody make you sick. I'd rather go
- 38:02Speaker 1: with a nutritional coach to tell me not wherever we
- 38:05Speaker 1: hear all this stuff? You know, all right? Switching gears.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Ryan Fowler joined us at seven thirty today roll tiede.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Ron Fowler walked us through some things. You know, Bama's
- 38:20Speaker 1: going through the seven stages of grief, and they got
- 38:26Speaker 1: embarrassed by Indiana thirty eight to three in their last
- 38:30Speaker 1: game of the year this year in the Rose Bowl,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and by a former Alabama assistant that none of their
- 38:38Speaker 1: fans knew who he was when he was there. Okay,
- 38:42Speaker 1: I can't remember what Signette did. I think he was
- 38:44Speaker 1: wide receivers and something else, either special teams or recruiting coordinator,
- 38:49Speaker 1: which is odd that he would be recruiting coordinator. But
- 38:53Speaker 1: my thought there is if I'm if he was, and
- 38:57Speaker 1: I'm not sure that he was then because of his
- 39:00Speaker 1: organizational structure and because they already had some dogs on
- 39:04Speaker 1: the staff that would do whatever it took to go
- 39:06Speaker 1: big game hunting, that he was able to deploy everybody
- 39:10Speaker 1: in the right in the right way space and so
- 39:13Speaker 1: on to make it all happen. Because I don't think
- 39:16Speaker 1: that there is a piece of lent in Kurt Signetti's
- 39:20Speaker 1: office this morning or in his car. That's what I believe.
- 39:24Speaker 1: I know that when I got in Dan Mullen's Mercedes
- 39:28Speaker 1: years ago to drive two hundred yards from Shapley's to
- 39:34Speaker 1: the Hilton On County line, there was nothing in there.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It was spotless, and I think a lot of coaches
- 39:42Speaker 1: are not that organized, and I think you damn near
- 39:45Speaker 1: have to be in that. I think Kippin's the same way.
- 39:50Speaker 1: But yeah, all of it, big time, absolutely of each. Yeah, no,
- 39:57Speaker 1: that's yeah, you need a shot of each. There's several
- 39:59Speaker 1: shots that you need of your DNA to be a
- 40:03Speaker 1: really good coach. I don't care what sport to be
- 40:05Speaker 1: a really good coach, but we're talking Signetti and Saban.
- 40:08Speaker 1: And he also said that he had never learned as
- 40:11Speaker 1: much in his life as he did when he spent
- 40:14Speaker 1: that think about that he was around some good coaches
- 40:16Speaker 1: and Signetti's dad was a legendary coach, so he was
- 40:20Speaker 1: cut from a very fundamentally sound, you know, coaching tree.
- 40:25Speaker 1: And he said it was like a what like a
- 40:27Speaker 1: PhD in minutes be coaching under Nick Saban for during
- 40:33Speaker 1: that time? Was he the recruiting coordinator? He was as
- 40:37Speaker 1: long as that's what RC stands for. That tells me
- 40:41Speaker 1: his meticulous, focused organizational structure approach and the fact that
- 40:49Speaker 1: he was always there early and late and responsible that
- 40:53Speaker 1: he could be the driving force for the Alabama recruiting
- 40:57Speaker 1: machine because he knew exactly how to deploy everybody, Yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 1: I don't see him going. And he had a stack
- 41:03Speaker 1: on every recruit, mom, dad, who else you needed to
- 41:07Speaker 1: know in and around that community or the family, which
- 41:13Speaker 1: a lot of coaches are not willing to do that.
- 41:16Speaker 1: He sat at the front of the room and said,
- 41:17Speaker 1: here's your territory. You're going here, You're going here, you're
- 41:19Speaker 1: going here, and go hit this one, this one to
- 41:21Speaker 1: this one, thank you, see you'all later, and give Saban credit. Now,
- 41:24Speaker 1: Saban is obviously really bright, but to bring in a
- 41:28Speaker 1: guy like Signetti that's not wired like a lot of
- 41:33Speaker 1: the alpha dogs that he had on his staffs over
- 41:36Speaker 1: the years of just you know, football coaches who were like,
- 41:41Speaker 1: just show me which way to go with my Alabama
- 41:43Speaker 1: pullover and I'll get some players right right, Signetti. Can
- 41:50Speaker 1: you imagine all the different meetings they were all in
- 41:53Speaker 1: and how many of the guys walked out and would
- 41:55Speaker 1: shake their head and laugh and go they may like him,
- 41:58Speaker 1: but they're like that guy's weird. Yeah, but the and
- 42:01Speaker 1: the quirky, weird guy won a national championship in Indiana,
- 42:05Speaker 1: and he went through Bama, Oregon, and Miami all big brands.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Indiana went through Bama, Oregon and Miami. They didn't go
- 42:19Speaker 1: through James Madison or Tulane and then Texas Tech and
- 42:24Speaker 1: then you know whatever, he went through Bama, Oregon and
- 42:28Speaker 1: Miami after going undefeated. M m they're they're they're definitely
- 42:39Speaker 1: still in stage one of Grease. And and no one
- 42:42Speaker 1: in the country could name another player other than maybe
- 42:45Speaker 1: late in the season Fernando Mendoza, and people couldn't still
- 42:51Speaker 1: struggled to say the name Signetti the right way. Who
- 42:58Speaker 1: knew that bar two when he threw out eight years
- 43:00Speaker 1: ago and I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd
- 43:02Speaker 1: ever heard. He was like, Yeah, there's this guy, you
- 43:05Speaker 1: know how you talking about right right right by James
- 43:07Speaker 1: Madison going what are you talking about? Keep going And
- 43:13Speaker 1: he's been in Alabama under Saban and blah blah blah
- 43:15Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah. Hey we are the out of
- 43:17Speaker 1: Bound show one O five nine The Zone ESPN. Check
- 43:21Speaker 1: out the Wings and Oyster po Boy at Martin's in
- 43:25Speaker 1: Livingston and Martin's Market has those breakfast sandwiches this morning.
