- 0:00Speaker 1: Ball alert, ball alert, ball alert. Yeah it's the kid
- 0:05Speaker 1: Ferrari Simmons. What's up, young world? Is your best friends
- 0:07Speaker 1: suit so long that the baby hair is laid out?
- 0:10Speaker 1: Had a slick little poty said, I'm trying to look
- 0:12Speaker 1: good or whatever, but you know what it really is.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I got natural hair and black women. I know y'all
- 0:15Speaker 1: feel me. This little humidity in the wintertime, like it
- 0:18Speaker 1: all makes sense. I don't know what to do with
- 0:19Speaker 1: my one time for that fake snow we had over
- 0:21Speaker 1: the weekend, it was fake snow. Um well, on my
- 0:24Speaker 1: side of town. I'm very east east east east, and
- 0:27Speaker 1: we had we had snow and it just didn't stick
- 0:31Speaker 1: to the ground. My kids was expecting to play, you know,
- 0:33Speaker 1: making snowman and you know all that, but this didn't happen,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and the weather person was capped. The weather person for
- 0:39Speaker 1: Georgia was first of all. It's multiple weather people get
- 0:43Speaker 1: over the weekend, I saw lots of snow in midtown.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I also went and took a walk in midtown Atlanta.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Everyone north, there's the snow stick. Well, we don't know
- 0:55Speaker 1: what to do with snow any dam one. So I'm
- 0:57Speaker 1: glad that it did what it did. The city slick
- 0:59Speaker 1: shut down. That didn't nothing happen. It's okay. I had
- 1:01Speaker 1: my groceries. I was prepared for the shutdown. Yeah, you
- 1:03Speaker 1: probably went in overbought grocers. I live alone. I made
- 1:07Speaker 1: sure to keep it cute. How was the weekend otherwise?
- 1:11Speaker 1: My weekend was fantastic Ferarri Simmons, How was yourge Mine
- 1:15Speaker 1: was okay. My wife got stuck in North Carolina because
- 1:18Speaker 1: it actually smolled up there. Yeah, I didn't see her
- 1:23Speaker 1: from I didn't see her for a couple of days,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and I had all the kids at the house and
- 1:27Speaker 1: that was a little aggressive for me. Okay. I'm used
- 1:29Speaker 1: to having my life partner, my wife with me assisting
- 1:33Speaker 1: me and me assisting her, and no one was there
- 1:36Speaker 1: to assist me, and it was very difficult to do breakfast, lunch, dinner,
- 1:45Speaker 1: be nice and patient and empathetic and nurturing. Yeah, that
- 1:49Speaker 1: was a lot. You know, four year old she requires
- 1:52Speaker 1: a lot. Everybody else, you know, they could they kick
- 1:55Speaker 1: it and sit still. But yeah, outside of that, we uh,
- 2:00Speaker 1: we're ready to get into some ball. We got a
- 2:02Speaker 1: good show today. Eric Bellinger is in the house talking
- 2:05Speaker 1: about Chris Brown, something Street or Grammys all of that,
- 2:09Speaker 1: staying loyal to his soilers. That's what he called him.
- 2:11Speaker 1: When we was talking about the I didn't want to say,
- 2:15Speaker 1: let's get into it. We live in a crazy world
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I need everyone to look out for yourselves and
- 2:21Speaker 1: each other. A woman fell asleep on her you was
- 2:24Speaker 1: out of airlines like, only to be waking up by
- 2:27Speaker 1: a stranger feeling her all the way up. She yelled
- 2:31Speaker 1: at him stop. Then he gets up, runs to the
- 2:35Speaker 1: back of the plane, and he told on himself. He
- 2:37Speaker 1: told a flight attendant he had a disorder, and he
- 2:40Speaker 1: apologized for groping the lady on her private parts. Now
- 2:44Speaker 1: you not. The rest of that flight was extremely awkward. Now,
- 2:48Speaker 1: speaking of awkward, Kobe Kardashian is back making headlines, back
- 2:53Speaker 1: getting drags and probably not giving a damn to be real. Okay,
- 2:57Speaker 1: she don't care what your opinions are of her. But
- 3:00Speaker 1: why is she getting dragged this time, you might ask, Well,
- 3:02Speaker 1: it is because she's been selling her daughter's used clothes
- 3:06Speaker 1: for money. She's been selling it for money now right now,
- 3:10Speaker 1: mind you her in the Kardashian clan, all of them,
- 3:12Speaker 1: they always sell their clothes. But people think it's distasteful
- 3:16Speaker 1: that she would sell children's clothes at such high prices
- 3:20Speaker 1: when millions of people are so heavily affected by the pandemic. Now,
- 3:23Speaker 1: one person tweeted, so disgusted when these clothes could be
- 3:27Speaker 1: donated to people in need. Everything goes about money with
- 3:29Speaker 1: the Kardashians. I gave all my self away to people
- 3:33Speaker 1: that could use them. Okay, Now, another person said, we're
- 3:37Speaker 1: in a chronic pandemic. People have lost their jobs, food
- 3:40Speaker 1: prices are through the roof, and people can't pay their
- 3:42Speaker 1: rent or mortgage. Now I have a question for you.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Is Chloe Kardashian dad wrong for selling her daughter's clothes
- 3:49Speaker 1: or do people need to mind their business? People need
- 3:53Speaker 1: to mind their business. Yeah, exactly, thank you. Now, now
- 3:58Speaker 1: let me throw this in there. What if she got
- 3:59Speaker 1: them closed free? Now that's different, yeah, says Come on now, friends,
- 4:06Speaker 1: let's just say for ships and giggles that she got
- 4:09Speaker 1: the clothes for free. Cloth facts. I don't think designers
- 4:13Speaker 1: get closed. I'm kidding me. You think the Kardashians don't
- 4:16Speaker 1: get free closed designer closed? Yes? You think they're walking
- 4:21Speaker 1: around with free Gap T shirts? Okay, Gap? Probably? I
- 4:24Speaker 1: don't know about Gucci and I mean, I gap close.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying. And that's why the Kardashians
- 4:33Speaker 1: is getting designers says, because me and you getting the gap. Okay,
- 4:36Speaker 1: not sending us nothing, but they sent on the Kardashian stuff.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I know that. Okay, yeah, okay exactly, but nothing less
- 4:44Speaker 1: though you say people need the Monda business, she can
- 4:46Speaker 1: sell them, do what she need to do. That's her baby. Yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 1: there it is, thank you for your cases. You. So
- 4:55Speaker 1: basically it sounds like people need to mind the business
- 4:58Speaker 1: that pays them. Yeah, since we're talking about business, we
- 5:03Speaker 1: got somebody been coming in. Who is it? Eric Bellinger? Yeah,
- 5:07Speaker 1: we gotta say his name right, so Eric Bellinger. Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 1: that's what I said, Eric Bellinger right here on the
- 5:11Speaker 1: ball a Show podcast coming up wherever you get your podcast,
- 5:15Speaker 1: ball Alert, Ball Alert, ball Alert. Ferrari Simmons, your bestie
- 5:19Speaker 1: solo sor writer for a lot of our top guys,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and we're gonna get into that, Mr Eric Billinger. Yes,
- 5:26Speaker 1: Sir Bellinger, Bellinger, practice, you gotta practice, get it right.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I got you. You came in smelling real medicated man. Man,
- 5:38Speaker 1: you know, listen high frequencies only. Yeah, facts fact, and
- 5:43Speaker 1: I mean that literally, yeah, figuratively. Are there any strands
- 5:47Speaker 1: that you wait to to touch when you come to Atlanta?
- 5:50Speaker 1: Or basically I know you're from the West Coast and
- 5:52Speaker 1: y'all got the real you know, don't say anything illegal,
- 5:57Speaker 1: but you know that's far. Let's stay loyal to my
- 6:02Speaker 1: soil exactly. We don't want to get you banged up
- 6:06Speaker 1: with any logistics or anything. But since we are talking
- 6:09Speaker 1: about logistics, we need you to introduce yourself to our listeners. Listen,
- 6:15Speaker 1: my name is Eric Bellinger, A K eight easy right
- 6:19Speaker 1: you feel me? Singer, songwriter, entertainer, actor extraordinaire. You know
- 6:23Speaker 1: what I mean? If you know about me, I love
- 6:27Speaker 1: you and if you don't, just do a little googling
- 6:30Speaker 1: and then he'll love you. He'll love your right after that.
- 6:34Speaker 1: So what's crazy is there are so many talented people
- 6:37Speaker 1: that are usually behind the scenes, right and then they
- 6:39Speaker 1: I guess, decide or maybe something changes in your career
- 6:42Speaker 1: where you're ready to be at the forefront, and for
- 6:45Speaker 1: some artists there seems to be a little struggle in
- 6:48Speaker 1: the transition. Do you feel like you are being received? Well, yes,
- 6:53Speaker 1: I definitely feel um since I have been taking my
- 6:57Speaker 1: artists you more serious other people did you know, Like
- 7:01Speaker 1: when right when they saw me, I feel like dropping
- 7:03Speaker 1: mixed tapes or singles or whatever. Man have you. I
- 7:07Speaker 1: felt such support and it's like, oh, this is what
- 7:08Speaker 1: you're doing now, And it was it was only really
- 7:12Speaker 1: uh struggle and a challenge transitioning. Um, amongst people like
- 7:19Speaker 1: the big the bigger guys in the industry. They're so
- 7:22Speaker 1: used to calling me in as the worker, as the help. Yeah,
- 7:27Speaker 1: can we touch that real quick because a lot of
- 7:29Speaker 1: people don't know that you you write a lot of
- 7:31Speaker 1: records for these big artists. Are Let's not speak criptically
- 7:35Speaker 1: to the people. Now. Let me see, let me think
- 7:37Speaker 1: the biggest record you've written for somebody? All right, find
- 7:41Speaker 1: China Chris Brown. Chris Brown. That was actually even got
- 7:44Speaker 1: a Grammy in two thousand twelve for co writing Fame
- 7:46Speaker 1: with Chris Brown. Yes, yes, I had three songs on
- 7:48Speaker 1: the on the Fame album. All My Love Saying with
- 7:51Speaker 1: Me was two of the joints on there. Um. The
- 7:54Speaker 1: third one was no Lights And I think from me
- 7:57Speaker 1: just working with Chris Brown and Sure and Justin Bieber
- 8:01Speaker 1: and all these guys behind the scenes. Um, A and
- 8:04Speaker 1: RS and the top guys just kind of looked at
- 8:07Speaker 1: me like, oh yeah, we can call him in the
- 8:08Speaker 1: right a hit. We can call him in the right
- 8:10Speaker 1: a hit. And I think my original passion always being
- 8:15Speaker 1: an artist and being on stage just naturally has made
- 8:18Speaker 1: this way to the forefront organically. Do you think do
- 8:21Speaker 1: you think said not to interrupt you because I wanted
- 8:23Speaker 1: to catch you in the moment. Do you think that
- 8:25Speaker 1: sometimes the fact that you can write a hit for
- 8:27Speaker 1: somebody overlooks the artistry part of your career. I think
- 8:32Speaker 1: only in this sense of the people that I've write
- 8:36Speaker 1: songs for, they may have a bigger budget, they may
- 8:39Speaker 1: have a bigger marketing plan, they may have a bigger
- 8:41Speaker 1: you know. I like to just saying that because that's important.
- 8:44Speaker 1: It's just the team behind it, you know what I mean.
- 8:46Speaker 1: But I think now that even though I haven't signed
- 8:51Speaker 1: a major deal ever, I'm still doing an independent my
- 8:54Speaker 1: team that I have around me, it's major and I
- 8:58Speaker 1: understand the difference, and that really is what will take
- 9:02Speaker 1: a song to the next level or you know, later
- 9:06Speaker 1: be a regional sensation. So Y said, you come to
- 9:10Speaker 1: Atlanta quite often. What Atlanta artists would you want to
- 9:12Speaker 1: work with or have you worked with? Man? Uh? Last
- 9:15Speaker 1: single I actually had k Camp on there um that
- 9:20Speaker 1: joint was called Moist, So shoututs to everybody I supported
- 9:23Speaker 1: that joint and uh man, there's so many people I
- 9:25Speaker 1: want to work with out here from ship me goes
- 9:28Speaker 1: a little baby like you just name it? You know
- 9:30Speaker 1: what I mean? I'm thugger. I kind of got stuck
- 9:33Speaker 1: when I heard moist? What what? How do what? My
- 9:37Speaker 1: last single was called Moist featuring k Camp? Thinking about
- 9:41Speaker 1: the afternoon action I checked out? Okay, Okay, okay, that's
- 9:45Speaker 1: the whole point of it. It's still okay, alright, let's
- 9:50Speaker 1: talk about this new music? Is an album coming? Do
- 9:54Speaker 1: we have a date? So right now? We got the
- 9:56Speaker 1: album I was called Newfers out. When did it come out?
- 9:59Speaker 1: It came out? Was it that September ten? He's actually
- 10:04Speaker 1: nominated for a Grammy? Yes, like yeah, now this album
- 10:07Speaker 1: is actually nominated. And what we're working on now is
- 10:10Speaker 1: a potential deluxe there we go album release for New Lights.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So do we have a date for that? Sir? That
- 10:17Speaker 1: I don't have a date, but that's what I'm That's
- 10:19Speaker 1: what I'm really working. If you're thinking about so black
- 10:25Speaker 1: history money back. I like that. I like that of glove,
- 10:30Speaker 1: you know, I mean maybe around Valentine's Day. You know
- 10:32Speaker 1: what I'm saying, talk about Valentine's Day here during my show. Okay,
- 10:37Speaker 1: because she singles she hasn't gotten it out a long time.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I get on her about it on the radio. I
- 10:42Speaker 1: mean for me people listening, he could have heard it
- 10:46Speaker 1: on the way. You have to tell neither one of
- 10:48Speaker 1: them actually ain't gotten it in a while. She's in
- 10:50Speaker 1: the drought. She definitely needs your music, Queen in control.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Thank you King for recognizing Okay than you because it's
- 10:57Speaker 1: out there. It ain't hard to get rob Hey. But
- 11:00Speaker 1: now that they look, now that they know, good luck,
- 11:02Speaker 1: good luck on the d ms. Do you feel me
- 11:04Speaker 1: like it might? It might see them and you gotta
- 11:09Speaker 1: grab me a two thousands? Well for called writing and
- 11:11Speaker 1: now you're nominated for your own album. Yeah, does it
- 11:14Speaker 1: feel any different? It was way different because you have
- 11:19Speaker 1: to understand, man, I am Eric Bellinger, singer, songwriter, content independent,
- 11:25Speaker 1: doing it my way, no help, no no support from
- 11:29Speaker 1: you know, the people that should have that, that could
- 11:33Speaker 1: have right, So I keep I keep that, I keep
- 11:36Speaker 1: that on my shoulder and I keep that battery in
- 11:38Speaker 1: my back. So now that it happened in a in
- 11:41Speaker 1: a world of oh, Eric Bellinger the songwriter, now ringer,
- 11:46Speaker 1: Now it's now, it's the nominating Is that your real name?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Is that your real name? That's my real guvy gup,
- 11:54Speaker 1: shout out to my mom. That's your drivers, like yeah, okay, okay, okay, yes,
- 11:58Speaker 1: Eric Aldwin Balinger. Oh that's a nice name. So how
- 12:02Speaker 1: did you want? Seven hook up? And I'm talking about
- 12:05Speaker 1: for the song what about us? Unless that was the
- 12:06Speaker 1: personal hook up Seve? Okay cool? So no, no, no,
- 12:13Speaker 1: I mean said we actually started working like she worked
- 12:15Speaker 1: on the Fame album too, So she used to be
- 12:19Speaker 1: signed to Chris Brown and that's when we met. So
- 12:23Speaker 1: as we was working on his music, the relationship just
- 12:27Speaker 1: you know, naturally progressed and we naturally worked together more
- 12:30Speaker 1: on her music. My music still did more on Christ's music,
- 12:34Speaker 1: and now it was just like time to do another one.
- 12:36Speaker 1: This ain't our first time doing music together. We got
- 12:38Speaker 1: a song called feel Me Out, We got a song
- 12:40Speaker 1: called Cash twenty two out, and this is our third joint.
- 12:43Speaker 1: What about us? They say third times a charm? So
- 12:47Speaker 1: how does it feel getting back on the road. Were uh,
- 12:49Speaker 1: you know, being on tour Vibes on vibes tour, Vibes
- 12:52Speaker 1: on Vibes tour. Shout out to my bro Sammy, Man,
- 12:56Speaker 1: it's exciting. You know. I've been locked up for two years.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Everybody been in isolation, been in quarantine. Are able to
- 13:01Speaker 1: do what we love to do, use our guy giving talents,
- 13:04Speaker 1: our God giving gifts. And now for me, I've just
- 13:07Speaker 1: been in the gym shooting. I never stopped, I never
- 13:10Speaker 1: took a break. I stay ready, so I ain't gotta
- 13:12Speaker 1: get ready. So that like that, yeah, yeah, yeah, as
- 13:15Speaker 1: soon as that first that first gunshots off, telling it's over, everybody,
- 13:24Speaker 1: it's over. So where we're talking about it's over. We
- 13:26Speaker 1: are so excited for you. We definitely are going to
- 13:28Speaker 1: make sure that we pay attention to the growth of
- 13:30Speaker 1: your career, the continue growth and every time you come Atlanta,
- 13:33Speaker 1: every time you got to pull up, every time last
- 13:38Speaker 1: thing came up here. I think it was a couple
- 13:39Speaker 1: of years ago. Man, I've been here. That's so I
- 13:41Speaker 1: was like, oh yeah, and I know you just came
- 13:42Speaker 1: up here a few times. I hear that, but I
- 13:46Speaker 1: never really think people mean that like on some put
- 13:49Speaker 1: up listen. It's politics. It's so much when you really
- 13:53Speaker 1: think of politics involving it ain't as easy as it's up.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Y'all got a song, can'll come up there and play,
- 13:58Speaker 1: but or come up there and chill work coming in
- 14:00Speaker 1: town and can give me something to eat. It's just
- 14:02Speaker 1: some such politics. But I want to challenge myself and
- 14:06Speaker 1: every artist out there to take advantage of when people
- 14:09Speaker 1: say hit me up, hit them up, hit them up,
- 14:11Speaker 1: especially us s R and I be outside, you know,
- 14:15Speaker 1: so if you ever just need a space to kick it,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you want to buy out, you can call either one
- 14:18Speaker 1: of us. He's out here DJ and out out here
- 14:21Speaker 1: just doing what I've been out That's all I'm talking about.
- 14:25Speaker 1: You know, you start getting worried about the things that
- 14:28Speaker 1: don't matter, and you know that's what I think is
- 14:30Speaker 1: the issue, you know, as opposed to just doing what
- 14:33Speaker 1: you feel is right. We're proud of you, black man.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Tell everybody where to follow you. Follow me on Instagram,
- 14:38Speaker 1: follow me everywhere at Eric Bellinger. It's just my full
- 14:40Speaker 1: name E R I C B E L L I
- 14:43Speaker 1: N G E R. And you better say his name
- 14:46Speaker 1: right that it's easy got it. Appreciate you bro her
- 14:51Speaker 1: more with the follow up show podcast will We Come Back?
- 14:54Speaker 1: And now it's time for ballermail. Oh dear, sorry, my
- 15:00Speaker 1: on and off again girlfriend just told me if I
- 15:03Speaker 1: don't propose to her this year, it's over now. I
- 15:07Speaker 1: was saving my money to actually do it on Valentine's Day. However,
- 15:10Speaker 1: I didn't like the tone of this topic we just
- 15:13Speaker 1: had last week. We are not together at the moment
- 15:16Speaker 1: because of this very thing. The next step in commitment marriage,
- 15:21Speaker 1: But I don't want to feel pressured. Should I propose
- 15:24Speaker 1: on schedule or should I leave this potential headache alone
- 15:27Speaker 1: stressed out? We live in dat in Ohio. It's a
- 15:30Speaker 1: dear rory, But I'm just gonna jump in for two
- 15:32Speaker 1: quick seconds and just say nobody is perfect, No relationship
- 15:36Speaker 1: is perfect. I think what you need to do is
- 15:38Speaker 1: learn better communication skills. How do you get to a
- 15:40Speaker 1: point where you want to marry somebody? You already got
- 15:42Speaker 1: the damn ringing, the schedule to proposal, dating, all of that,
- 15:44Speaker 1: but you just can't talk to a person like that
- 15:46Speaker 1: don't make sense. So let's put in a little effort
- 15:48Speaker 1: to build maybe a little pre marital counseling or you know,
- 15:51Speaker 1: just boyfriend girlfriend counseling, just to see if this is
- 15:54Speaker 1: really where you want to go. But I'm not married.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I'm actually very single. So ferrari, let me shut up.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Uh uh, I ain't gonna cap this. One's a fifty
- 16:02Speaker 1: fifty of me wants to tell you this is toxic.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Y'all get the hell away from each other. The other
- 16:08Speaker 1: fifty percent of me is telling me is you're probably
- 16:11Speaker 1: being immature. You probably and she's probably telling you be
- 16:14Speaker 1: a man, step up to the plate and be a
- 16:15Speaker 1: responsible adult, and let's take it to the next level.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So uh, if either or can help me telling you
- 16:23Speaker 1: by saying you need to have an adult conversation with her,
- 16:26Speaker 1: y'all go speak to a professional and then make a
- 16:28Speaker 1: decision to uh close this chapter in your lives or
- 16:33Speaker 1: start a new chapter. Lets say it again, close this
- 16:36Speaker 1: chapter so y'all can just have some type of closure
- 16:39Speaker 1: in this relationship and stop being toxic on and off again,
- 16:42Speaker 1: or start a new chapter. Got it good? Yep, And
- 16:49Speaker 1: there's a time for us to get up out of here.
- 16:50Speaker 1: So so lo I need some title nour add VILM
- 16:53Speaker 1: My lopon tail is a little too slick for me.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Can you give us some shout outs please, ma'am. I'm
- 16:58Speaker 1: gonna shout out my hairdresser for we're cutting off the
- 17:00Speaker 1: blood circulation to my brain. I can't even talk right now.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I feel like I'm drunk and I'm really not what's
- 17:05Speaker 1: the solution that's in your hair that's keeping it's still
- 17:08Speaker 1: like that? I don't know. It's a lot of professional
- 17:09Speaker 1: people stuff that I don't know nothing about it. Yeah,
- 17:11Speaker 1: but yeah. Shout out to my family, I love you guys.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Out to everyone who was keeping up with the Takeulur
