- Mark Hayes (00:02.338) Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Minute in Black and White and Honest Conversation. All right, the Trumpfuckery continues. This guy is more confused and more deranged than usual, falling asleep wherever he is. He just calls it nap time. Jen Psaki had a piece last night on MSNBC or MSNOW, whatever they call them themselves, just documenting his overall unwellness. And that puts us all in peril, folks, in case you don't know. There is no one in that clown car of cabinets capable of taking over and doing anything to help out this country, which is also the scary part. and Ellis joins me now from the beautiful confines of the Hudson River Valley. Brock, his health has long been a concern. I don't know how much longer this guy can hang on, but the longer he hangs on, the more Project 2025 rolls along redistricting, no FEMA, no money for the California housing rebuild, gerrymandering, know, more corruption, you name it, the fuckery continues. Brock Ganeles (01:20.585) less health care, less research on new diseases, less protections against global pandemics. Mark Hayes (01:22.509) Boom. Mark Hayes (01:33.432) frightening. It's frighten Brock Ganeles (01:34.797) Bad timing, bad timing since we have some incurable pandemic floating around some cruise liner in Europe, right? And they're like carting people off the boat in body bags and ham, hamnet suits, whatever they call them things. Hazmat suits. Mark Hayes (01:51.468) Yeah, those hazmat suits. Remember, Brock, we decided that the global task force that investigates cruise liner safety needed to be disbanded. They disbanded that group over at the CDC in their infinite wisdom, the Trump administration, RFK, and those other dolt's. Those morons couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper bag. And now they're making us less safe, less healthy, poorer in many different facets of American life. We thought this country was supposed to be the shining object around the world, the global representative of excellence. We are not. We are the global representative of stupidity. That's what we are right now. Brock Ganeles (02:49.858) Trump 1.0, they threw out the pandemic playbook, right? And then all of sudden COVID comes around. We fucking handle it. We have more deaths by far, exponentially more than any country in the world. And then, you know, Biden had, we have to dig our way out of that hole. Here we go four years later. And once again, we've cut research and we're anti-vax. And now we just worry about, we just hope this is not the type of pandemic that can go out of control, but we're totally unprepared for it. Second thing you touched on who who provided the mandate that we wanted less emergency assistance in this country at a time when global warming has clearly fucked with the climate and we have much more extreme weather causing much more devastation hurricanes tornadoes heat floods fires to name a few but we decided we're going to cut fema fema the project 2025 mandate is they're going to respond to less emergencies. However, we're having, we're experiencing more emergency situations. We're just going to respond to less of them. American citizens were raising their hand for that? That's where we should save some money. Let's fight some crazy foreign wars. Let's put more money to to bombing Iran and let's stop helping. Mark Hayes (04:00.917) Awesome. Brock Ganeles (04:16.33) Regular people when they're in their worst moment of peril and pretend like we're not gonna get more and more of these storms because as we know we know who's figured it out is the insurance companies because they're jacking up Home insurance rates because they see these storms coming left and right. They've done the math. They've got the actuaries that they're losing money They're raising rates. They know we're gonna get hit by more catastrophes, but our government's decided It's not that I'm that important Mark Hayes (04:18.968) Yeah. Mark Hayes (04:36.162) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (04:45.548) to help out its citizens who get buried by a catastrophe. Who is the constituency for that side of the equation? Mark Hayes (04:54.294) Nope, not at all. Mark Hayes (04:59.97) Well, Brock, how do you come back from your home being totally destroyed in the wildfires in California? We already know that only two homes have been rebuilt since the California wildfires. We're going to what, year three since that happened? I don't know where you get the money from to rebuild a home unless you're just sitting on a few million dollars. And you know, who's gonna finance you? Who's gonna insure you? How are you gonna afford to rebuild and live in a neighborhood that doesn't exist anymore? Brock Ganeles (05:32.898) No, and then... Brock Ganeles (05:38.347) And this government won't help blue states. So it'll start right there. God knows what other racism and other bias comes into play on which emergencies will get responded to. But blue states are certainly going to be at the back of the bus on that decision making. But once again, this is a place. This is where socialism works. We all pay tax dollars. All that money gets pulled together. Mark Hayes (05:53.9) No doubt. Brock Ganeles (06:04.606) A portion of that money goes to an emergency service like FEMA, just like that money gets pulled together and goes to a service known as the military. And we all agree that we want a military that protects us all. We want a FEMA that responds to us all. We're willing to have that money and go, Hey, you know what? Maybe my house is never going to get hit by tornado. But when that tornado hits that family in Kansas, I feel for them. I want my tax, a portion of my tax dollars to go and help that family rebuild their life because it was a fluke. It hit their house and didn't hit the house next door, right? It was like a roll of the dice. We're fine with paying our taxes into that, but project 2025 wants to strip that away. That's not how our tax dollars should be spent. Makes no fucking sense to me. Mark Hayes (06:45.524) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (06:54.156) Right. And who proclaimed them the arbiter of how our money is spent? They're not a government entity. They're a hate group. Right. Right. And they're a hate group. So why do we think they're going to dole out anything fairly? They put it on paper. We saw the manifesto. There's nothing different from them to what Ted Kaczynski wrote, the Unabomber. Brock Ganeles (07:01.398) Now, Congress is supposed to do it. Congress controls the purse. Mark Hayes (07:24.606) manifesto talking about the destruction of the American democracy. The only thing is they're not bombs to blow us up, but they're systematically destroying our democracy and tearing apart country stitch by fricking stitch day by day. Brock Ganeles (07:46.509) You hit it that well, while Trump nods off and sleeps through meetings, his fucking bureaucrats behind him, right, are instituting this fucking game plan of stripping back protections and places where we agree to help each other out, where community is built, where the things that bring us together. We're always so proud of how we react to. Mark Hayes (07:49.208) don't get why. Mark Hayes (07:58.712) Yep. Brock Ganeles (08:12.248) you know, natural disasters. It's the one time everyone rallies together and doesn't think about where their political beliefs are and just help a neighbor, right? You're not like knocking on their door in the wildfire going, hey, are you Republican or a Democrat? I got a truck out front. I can drive you to safety. As long as you know, ask in that moment, hey, you pro-abortion or you, uh, you know, this is when we just care about each other as brothers and sisters. Mark Hayes (08:28.909) Right. Mark Hayes (08:33.249) Right. Mark Hayes (08:39.742) as human beings. Right. Brock Ganeles (08:41.75) Yes, human beings and our government doesn't want doesn't want to play that way. It wants to have, you know, that wants to be biased and Trump's sleeping through it. But he put it. He put a group in place that executes and they're on the march every day. Mark Hayes (08:59.509) And that's the scary part. You know, these are some hateful human beings. Pete Hegseth is a hateful son bitch. know, Stephen Miller, you know, these are the guys that would have turned the ovens on, you know, over in Auschwitz, over in Dachau, right? These are how nasty these people are. If you haven't seen the Rachel Maddow clip talking about The one thing the Trump administration has done very well, remember the clown car does nothing well. They don't know how to govern, right? They don't understand diplomacy. They obviously don't understand war games and real time war strategy, but they do know how to beat the shit out of black America. And that's the one thing they've done. Unemployment has spiked. 3 % from Joe Biden's foreign change to over 7 % with Donald Trump. Don't forget what the Dogey Bros did lopping off huge swaths of government, predominantly African American workers. Right? Don't forget Donald Trump, you know, firing all the African American heads of important divisions in our federal government. Right? Don't forget the MAGA ledger in Congress, they will have zero black representation. And now America is going to have zero black representation. you, man, it looks like the Southern strategy again. If you look at the gerrymandered map now, before and after, I mean, there is going to be nothing. Tennessee just pushed through their maps in the last predominantly black district in Memphis is now you know, majority white. You know, they show Justin Pearson being manhandled by one of those hillbilly Tennessee state troopers. And, you know, what's black America supposed to do? Should we get out here and protest and die in the streets? Because that's what they want. They want to, look, if they shot Renee Good and Alex Preti in broad daylight, Mark Hayes (11:28.695) What are they gonna do to black people who sneeze too loudly or pull out their phones? God forbid you pull your phone out of a pocket. He had a gun, so I fired. and look, there's a gun right here next to it. I'm from New York City. We understand how they drop evidence nearby and how it worked. The dirty 30, right? And the LAPD and how all, you know, it's funny too, you know, the only place racism doesn't exist is in white communities, right? Because white communities have never felt it. It's never impacted them. So they think it's all a figment of black people's imagination. And Donald Trump, is doing the one thing, the one thing that his people are good at. Look at what they did to the military. Look at what they're doing in the state of Ohio, Brock. The state of Ohio is now going to eliminate NIL deals for college sports. Who is that most benefiting? Basketball and football players. Of what hue? The African American hue. It's fucked up. Brock Ganeles (12:49.44) Look Mark, you know I think the conservative movement in America has been a fraud. It's been fed to us since our whole lives, but really adult lives since the 80s. Reagan era kicked in and let's look at all the horseshit that never really played out. trickle down economics with the low taxes at the top, which was supposed to then work its way through the whole economy and more growth and better and more jobs, more jobs, more growth. Everybody benefits when those guys that those white men at the top do better. But look at how it is now. What do you really get? You just get a handful of billionaires who are all cutting jobs at all their companies to make more money. Nothing ever trickled down. It was a fraud. There was a whole thing about balanced budgets and getting the debt under control. that was the whole Tea Party movement. Total bullshit. Now we have like we're at all time levels of debt, right? That's greater than GDP and no one's saying a fucking word. Second time, second Trump presidency where he's exploded the debt because he's a fucking moron. Mark Hayes (13:38.878) Do Mark Hayes (13:51.017) Party nonsense, yeah. Mark Hayes (14:00.355) Yep. Brock Ganeles (14:07.128) States rights has always been horseshit, right? States rights when it goes to Roe v Wade, it just means abortion gets, you know, basically banned. States rights when it comes to voting just means you're going to gerrymander and try to water down and diminish and devalue the black vote. The one I left out earlier, they remind me of, which was also the family values horseshit, which now, you know, 30 or 50 years later, you got You know, you got Trump, you know, with 28 sexual assaults, three wives and, know, all that shit. And they just thrown it absolutely out the window and it never really mattered. But it was it was a good buzz, buzzwords and taglines to help get those Christian nationalists out to the polls. The whole movement's the whole movement's been a fraud. And Project 2025 brought it to a head, put it on paper, took it from code words. Mark Hayes (14:57.867) Yep, yep, yep, yep. Brock Ganeles (15:05.666) to doctrine. And now it's being systematically implemented in the country. And we see what it is, right? It's crushing black wealth and black opportunity. It's pushing, taking away bodily autonomy for women. It's throwing Latinos in concentration camps. I mean, it's systematically going through every group that's not Christian nationalist white men and saying, we are taking power. Mark Hayes (15:07.127) Yep. Mark Hayes (15:15.478) Right. Mark Hayes (15:34.958) And we're not giving it back, no matter what it takes, right? Because we know what's best for this country, and it ain't a multicultural, multiracial, fair and just society. We want a society where white men rule and dominate, the only decision makers, and those who shall decide how wealth is distributed in this country. And I don't have a problem with capitalism. I don't have a problem with people making money off great ideas, ideas that actually help the American people or the global community as a whole. But I do have a problem when it comes at a cost of the American citizen. We shouldn't have to suffer because Mark Zuckerberg is not making enough billions of dollars. Right? So he's got to help rig elections, help stifle the algorithms when it comes to fair and balanced sharing of ideas and opinions and factual news. Right? Because look, the people that are owning these streaming platforms where so many people are getting their so-called news from are all on the red side. Right? So they're stifling the kinds of ideas that people have access to. people, it must be true. It was on the internet. How many times have you heard that one from some idiot? Right? I saw it on the internet. Must be true. I wouldn't put it on there if it wasn't there. I saw it in several different places. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (17:21.112) You're gonna get that same shit with AI. That's what AI told me. Well, where did AI get the information from? It scoured the internet. Mark Hayes (17:24.237) Yes. Exactly. And put it in a nice, neat paragraph for you. know? know, Barack, it's look, it's frustrating. But again, yeah, Black America has to get off the sidelines, but we need a considerable portion. What happened to that coalition that put Barack Obama in office twice? Where'd they go? And how did you vote for Barack Obama and Donald Trump? I don't, I don't. And what did Barack Obama do to white America that pissed them off so badly? Besides do a really good job. You know, I don't care what his attitude was like. If you thought he was too pompous, that's your problem. If you thought he walked around like his shit didn't stink, that's your problem. If you're pissed off because he wore a tan suit, well buy him a new custom made, you know, Savile Row bespoke suit. you don't have $1,500 to send him a brand new suit? Then shut up. What did Barack Obama, like, how do you vote for Obama and Trump? I mean, it makes no sense to me. I'll never understand it. No one can ever make me understand it because it just doesn't. Barack Obama's autobiography was called The Audacity of Hope. What hope do we have right now? With this moron Cheeto Mussolini in here, who has any semblance of hope? Brock Ganeles (19:05.688) Our biggest hope is that his health declines and, and, or, you know, that we could speed up a biggest hope. The second biggest hope would be that we could speed up the calendar and get through this and get through this faster. But as you say in that really the biggest misunderstanding that we get on our chat board, which is of white America, of anyone who responds to us is that they don't understand racism. Mark Hayes (19:16.642) Right. Mark Hayes (19:32.595) No. At all. Brock Ganeles (19:33.741) They think racism is black and white people not liking each other. They don't understand that ultimately racism is a power structure. And therefore you can't there can't be racism against white people in America because white people have the levers of power. So you a black person can hate a white person. But you can't be racist towards a white person in America because their hatred doesn't benefit. Mark Hayes (19:38.071) Correct. Mark Hayes (19:43.213) It's a system. Mark Hayes (19:55.838) I didn't get you anywhere. Brock Ganeles (20:02.462) give them any they have no lever to pull to pull that white person down so they can only just have the anger boil but when white people in response have the negativity and hatred of the black people they can actually do something Mark Hayes (20:06.345) No, not at all. Brock Ganeles (20:21.334) to hurt their lives, such as the systematic racism of the fact that black unemployment has gone up from 4.3 to roughly 7.3 percent in the Trump administration. That's the system. That's the white dominated system imparting negative outcomes on black America. That's racism. And maybe what Obama did that pissed off so many white people. Mark Hayes (20:42.593) Yep. Yep. Brock Ganeles (20:49.514) is that he challenged that structure because now the person at the top was a black person and I think that made a lot of white America uncomfortable or enough of white America angry and uncomfortable that it led to the MAGA movement. I think the theory Mark Hayes (20:52.397) Mmm. Mark Hayes (21:10.763) Well, yeah, well, I'm going to push back just a little bit and say, wow, how about all that money that was dedicated to DEI, to diversity, to fairness and equality, to income inequality, and all those programs that were created after George Floyd? Now, if my memory serves me correctly, Barack Obama wasn't in office for that. Right? Who was leading the charge? Brock Ganeles (21:15.553) Okay. Mark Hayes (21:40.77) that these things need to be put in place in order to have a society where George Floyd doesn't have to die for passing what was alleged to be a counterfeit $20 bill. Where do you get the death penalty for passing what was alleged, what someone said was a counterfeit $20 bill? And meanwhile, we watched this man die on television. And now you're telling me there's no races. And then we didn't follow through on any of it. All right. So let's go back and look at what we put on paper in 1776. All men are created equal. Hmm. Until they're not. Until they're created brown. Why didn't we put that in there? America has never lived up to what she said she was going to. And it's amazing that they even had the balls, the gumption to put that in the document when we're looking at slaves, right? The people who signed it were slaveholders talking about all men are created equal. we're just talking about the men in the room and not the men serving us. Just those guys here. We're all created equal. I mean, it's a, and again, I'll say it again. I said it yesterday. America was founded and built on racism. And if you don't have somebody's neck to put your foot on, then what do you do? Right? You don't have cheap labor. What happens when you get all the black and brown people out of the country? Right? Like we were talking about yesterday, who's done through the work? You can't have a bunch of company owners standing around looking at each other saying who's going to build the house. AI ain't going to build it. Brock Ganeles (23:45.335) Mark, those initiatives after the George Floyd murders, which ultimately had no teeth and no conviction behind them because we see how easy they were stripped away and folded their tents and went home, were done because there was a fear. There was all these people in the streets, white and black people, was disrupting the American economy. The money machine was at risk. So to placate and to tamp down the anger, that was being expressed all over America, all these initiatives were put in place to be like, hey, calm down, calm down, calm down, because the ownership class just wanted to get everyone back, quote, to normal, their normal, which is people spending like crazy and lining their pockets. So they did just enough. They did the, you know, the smoke and mirrors game of just enough to get people to stop protesting and to tell them things are gonna be better. and you don't need to topple the whole system here. You don't need to overturn anything. We're going to make it better. So they put all these things in place. But then as soon as the water, the temperature changed a little bit and they became less popular and some white people started complaining, they pulled them all down. Mark Hayes (24:46.829) Right. Mark Hayes (25:04.745) And we realized we really didn't want a multicultural, fair, and just society, multiracial, all-inclusive democracy. Brock Ganeles (25:17.592) But we certainly didn't want multicultural, multiracial protests in the streets. That scared the ruling class. And that's why I'm begging for us to be able to get them again, because that's when the numbers get to a level that's disruptive to the whole system. That's why those protests, the George Floyd protests, threatened the system and the No Kings protests haven't at all. Mark Hayes (25:22.686) shit no. Absolutely. Mark Hayes (25:37.015) Yeah. Mark Hayes (25:47.405) Absolutely. Absolutely. I agree with you 110%. All right, you got a quick hit for me? Brock Ganeles (25:54.381) Yeah, so one of the shows I've been watching is called The Pit. It's an HBO show. It's in year two and it's kind of an ER. Noah Wiley who had been in ER, I never watched ER, but I think they want to be quasi-political, but apparently there was some controversy that they tamped down the episode on the ICE agents being in the emergency room. But if you watch the show, it skewers the American healthcare system. Mark Hayes (25:58.666) Sure, we got it. Mark Hayes (26:14.413) Ooh. Brock Ganeles (26:21.534) As much as I think they tamped down that ice episode, it also really showed the absurdity of ice and unmasked ice agents. So I'm kind of I'm on board with the show. It's entertaining, but it also is pointing out all the absurdities of our health care system. The last episode had a kid who's like 15 years old with didn't have a driver's permit, had to drive his father an hour and half to the hospital because the local hospital had closed. Mark Hayes (26:22.957) Thanks. Mark Hayes (26:34.113) All Mark Hayes (26:50.519) post. Brock Ganeles (26:50.712) And he made it just in time to get his dialysis. And it was just like, Oh yeah, well that local hospital closed down. Right. So it kind of gives a, you know, sort of a Hollywood version, dramatic aversion of what goes on. You had another guy who left the, the, the, who left the ER because he couldn't afford, he didn't want to take on the debt for his family because he didn't have insurance. So he refused to get treated, went back to the job, got injured again. There's some question of whether he even tried to kill himself or whether he passed out on the job, things like that of, you know, of showing what happens when someone's uninsured and piling on this debt and feels the guilt of the family, right? Cause he felt like he was screwing his whole family. So I'm kind of, I'm on board. I'm a fan of the pit. I'm recommending it. Mark Hayes (27:19.5) hi. Mark Hayes (27:25.812) Okay. Mark Hayes (27:31.085) Mwah! Yeah. Mark Hayes (27:39.146) Alright, I'm going to check it out. I've seen it. I've seen the rave reviews, but I haven't checked out an episode. I will check it out. Hey, from Columbus, Ohio, I mentioned that they were going to nix the NIL deals in the state of Ohio. Remember, Nick Saban, Tommy Stuberville, Stupidville, Tuberville is on board as well, trying to put some sort of cap. on the money that's being earned by these players because it's black athletes that are benefiting from basketball and football. You know, you don't get attention paid to baseball, hockey, golf, some of these other sports, swimming, you know, that are huge college sports, but aren't necessarily economy drivers, right? Yeah, like the SEC. But Brock Ganeles (28:31.5) Yeah, not the money makers. Mark Hayes (28:36.253) Out over at big shoe, at the shoe in Ohio State, 30 former football players, including some former NFLers, have agreed to join a federal lawsuit against Ohio State University because of the sexual abuse of student athletes decades ago by the famous doctor. Strauss over there. They say they were abused by Strauss between 78 and 98 over that 20 year period. I don't know if you saw the documentary on HBO, but it was damn good. And it was very disturbing. And we know where the part that Jim Jordan played in it. And he kind of turned a blind eye, right? Because it was hockey players. was, you know, gymnastics. was, I mean, he was, he just had a locker in the shower. Brock Ganeles (29:26.61) Yeah, yeah, and it was every and it was every wrestler. I mean it was fucking every wrestler Mark Hayes (29:26.957) and would end up in the challenge every time. Yeah. Right. Every wrestler. You why is he turning the lights off during a physical exam? You know? Why these? Anyway, check out the documentary. It's disturbing. You got another one for me? Go. Brock Ganeles (29:38.498) Okay. Brock Ganeles (29:45.465) Well, but you're saying Ohio State's big business. I don't see how they're not going to pay NIL and get the players and how Ohio State football would be able to compete if they're not paying their players at the same rate as everybody else. I know Trump's tried to weigh in on this, right? Yeah, and Tuberville doesn't want the black athletes making money, but Mark Hayes (30:01.766) Yep, that's gonna be a problem. Yeah. after he made all his money on their backs. After he made all the problem was he sucked as a coach. He wasn't very good. Very marginal if you look at his numbers. Brock Ganeles (30:20.94) Yeah, he won one year, right? I feel like he won a national championship, didn't he? Or no? No, he never won one? Hmm. So, yeah, mean, sports has a reckoning, college sports has a racism issue, because now the labor pool is very much black, the management pool is almost entirely white. Mark Hayes (30:25.466) No, I don't think he... No! Fuck no! He's a... Mark Hayes (30:41.25) Yep. Brock Ganeles (30:45.302) The ownership pool being the boosters that are behind these colleges that are paying the presidents and the athletic directors and turning them into minor league sports teams is almost entirely white. So it is it is mirroring the typical hierarchy of American business, right? It's just we watch it as entertainment. So, yeah, I'm really interested to see that they're all going to go to the courts now on a bunch of these different topics. Mark Hayes (30:45.419) Right. Mark Hayes (30:55.167) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (31:04.661) Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Mark Hayes (31:13.281) Yeah, it'll be interesting to see where the Maga court comes down on it. You know, and this is where, you know, I just want to kick Merrick Garland, know, Joe Biden, all those people who were against packing the court. You know, it really pisses me off that, you know, these six loony tunes, extremists, boosers and gamers of the system are determining so much of the outcomes of our lives. is, yeah. Brock Ganeles (31:54.809) Yeah, way too much. But Mark, as you were saying that also reminded me of what I was pissed about yesterday, which is like athletes. And then Irve mentioned about actors showing up at Bezos' gala when he's the fucking biggest anti-union buster in maybe American history. why labor needs to always look out for labor. You can't just worry about your own union and getting yours and then not turning around. Mark Hayes (32:11.745) It missed. Mark Hayes (32:21.26) Right. Brock Ganeles (32:23.32) and supporting other labor. So I want to see professional athletes support college athletes in terms of getting paid in NIL. I want to see athletes in different sports not only support each other, but think about the other unions that you interact with, whether it's the, you know, people working in the stadiums, you just go up and down the list. You can't turn your back on some other group of labor when you want their support. Mark Hayes (32:29.496) Yep. Mark Hayes (32:44.407) Yep. Brock Ganeles (32:52.322) when it comes around to your time. I'm very pro-label. My parents were both teachers. Teachers unions were key, right? Teachers never overpaid, certainly, right? But they've always had the scratch and claw to get even some semblance of fair pay. So I'm always looking out for that across the board. And we put it on the athletes. Athletes are high profile. So what they do resonates more. Mark Hayes (33:04.974) for anything to go. Mark Hayes (33:17.954) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (33:21.91) than what an average American citizen does. What me or you do, right? We could support labor unions all day long, but when Asia Wilson and Jimmy Butler and they have a chance to make a choice, tend to make a statement and they roll along because they want to go to a fun party instead of doing like what I would consider to be the right thing.
