• 1:26
  is
• 1:26
  simple,
• 1:27
  to
• 1:27
  help
• 1:27
  you
• 1:27
  break
• 1:28
  that

  the

  believer
• 1:33

  Yesterday
• 1:39
  we
• 1:39
  talked
• 1:39
  about
• 1:39
  why
• 1:40
  budgets
• 1:40
  actually
• 1:41
  bring
• 1:41
  freedom
• 1:41
  and
• 1:42
  how
• 1:42
  they
• 1:42
  calm
• 1:42
  your
• 1:43
  heart
• 1:43
  and
• 1:43
  protect
• 1:44
  your
• 1:44
  future.
• 1:44
  And
• 1:45
  today
• 1:45
  we're
• 1:45
  going
• 1:45
  to
• 1:45
  build
• 1:46
  on
• 1:46
  that.
• 1:46
  We're
• 1:46
  taking
• 1:46
  the
• 1:47
  next
• 1:47
  step.
• 1:48
  How
• 1:48
  do
• 1:48
  you
• 1:48
  actually
• 1:48
  build
• 1:49
  a
• 1:49
  budget
• 1:49
  that
• 1:50
  works
• 1:50
  in
• 1:50
  real
• 1:50
  life?
• 1:51
  Not
• 1:51
  a
• 1:52
  stressful
• 1:52
  one,
• 1:52
  not
• 1:53
  a
• 1:53
  complicated
• 1:53
  one,
• 1:54
  one
• 1:54
  that
• 1:54
  says,
• 1:55
  I'll
• 1:55
  never
• 1:55
  stick
• 1:56
  to
• 1:56
  this.
• 1:57
  A
• 1:57
  simple,
• 1:58
  faithful,
• 1:59
  life
• 1:59
  giving
• 1:59
  plan
• 2:00
  that
• 2:00
  brings
• 2:00
  clarity
• 2:01
  instead
• 2:01
  of
• 2:02
  chaos.

  me

• 2:04
  said,
• 2:04
  ralph,
• 2:04
  I've
• 2:05
  tried
• 2:05
  the
• 2:05
  budgeting
• 2:06
  apps,
• 2:06
  I've
• 2:07
  tried
• 2:07
  spreadsheets,
• 2:08
  I've
• 2:08
  tried
• 2:09
  notebooks.
• 2:09
  Nothing
• 2:10
  sticks.
• 2:10
  What
• 2:11
  am
• 2:11
  I
• 2:11
  missing?
• 2:13
  Maybe
• 2:13
  you
• 2:13
  felt
• 2:13
  that
• 2:14
  too.
• 2:14
  You
• 2:15
  want
• 2:15
  to
• 2:15
  get
• 2:15
  it
• 2:15
  right.
• 2:16
  You
• 2:16
  want
• 2:16
  to
• 2:16
  be
• 2:17
  faithful,
• 2:17
  you
• 2:18
  want
• 2:18
  to
• 2:18
  feel
• 2:18
  peace
• 2:18
  when
• 2:19
  you
• 2:19
  look
• 2:19
  at
• 2:19
  your
• 2:19
  money.
• 2:20
  But
• 2:20
  every
• 2:21
  system
• 2:21
  feels
• 2:22
  overwhelming
• 2:22
  or
• 2:23
  too
• 2:23
  detailed
• 2:24
  or
• 2:24
  too
• 2:24
  unrealistic.
• 2:26
  And
• 2:26
  after
• 2:27
  a
• 2:27
  while
• 2:27
  you
• 2:27
  quietly
• 2:28
  think,
• 2:28
  maybe
• 2:29
  budgeting
• 2:29
  just
• 2:29
  isn't
• 2:30
  for
• 2:30
  me.
• 2:31
  Friend,
• 2:31
  you're
• 2:32
  not
• 2:32
  the
• 2:32
  problem.
• 2:33
  The
• 2:33
  method
• 2:34
  was
• 2:35
  you
• 2:35
  don't
• 2:35
  need
• 2:35
  a
• 2:35
  complicated
• 2:36
  budget,
• 2:37
  you
• 2:37
  need
• 2:37
  a
• 2:37
  simple
• 2:38
  one.
• 2:39
  And
• 2:39
  research
• 2:39
  shows
• 2:40
  that
• 2:40
  most
• 2:40
  people
• 2:40
  quit
• 2:41
  budgeting
• 2:41
  not
• 2:42
  because
• 2:42
  of
• 2:42
  discipline,
• 2:43
  but
• 2:43
  because
• 2:44
  their
• 2:44
  system
• 2:44
  was
• 2:45
  too
• 2:45
  complex
• 2:45
  to
• 2:45
  maintain.
• 2:46
  It's
• 2:46
  really,
• 2:46
  that's
• 2:47
  what
• 2:47
  it
• 2:47
  is.
• 2:47
  In
• 2:47
  the
• 2:48
  end,
• 2:48
  simplicity
• 2:49
  wins.
• 2:49
  Always.
• 2:50
  It's
• 2:51
  not
• 2:51
  about
• 2:51
  perfection,
• 2:52
  it's
• 2:52
  about
• 2:53
  clarity.
• 2:53
  And
• 2:54
  I've
• 2:54
  seen
• 2:54
  this
• 2:54
  for
• 2:54
  more
• 2:54
  than
• 2:55
  30
• 2:55
  years
• 2:55
  as
• 2:55
  an
• 2:55
  accountant,
• 2:56
  as
• 2:56
  a
• 2:57
  coach,
• 2:57
  and
• 2:57
  yes,
• 2:57
  also
• 2:58
  as
• 2:58
  a
• 2:58
  believer.
• 2:59
  I've
• 2:59
  helped
• 2:59
  people
• 3:00
  build
• 3:00
  budgets
• 3:00
  that
• 3:01
  fit
• 3:01
  real
• 3:01
  lives.
• 3:02
  Not
• 3:02
  these
• 3:02
  ideal
• 3:03
  lives,
• 3:03
  these
• 3:03
  pie
• 3:04
  in
• 3:04
  the
• 3:04
  sky
• 3:04
  ideas,
• 3:05
  Budgets
• 3:05
  that
• 3:05
  don't
• 3:06
  require
• 3:06
  hours
• 3:07
  each
• 3:07
  weeks,
• 3:08
  budgets
• 3:08
  that
• 3:08
  flex
• 3:09
  when
• 3:09
  life
• 3:09
  gets
• 3:10
  messy
• 3:10
  because
• 3:10
  guess
• 3:11
  what?
• 3:11
  Life
• 3:11
  gets
• 3:12
  messy.
• 3:12
  And
• 3:13
  budgets
• 3:13
  that
• 3:13
  actually
• 3:14
  work
• 3:14
  in
• 3:14
  the
• 3:14
  hands
• 3:15
  of
• 3:15
  real
• 3:15
  people
• 3:15
  with
• 3:16
  real
• 3:16
  families
• 3:17
  and
• 3:17
  real
• 3:17
  struggles.
• 3:19
  And
• 3:19
  I
• 3:19
  promise
• 3:19
  you
• 3:20
  right
• 3:20
  now,
• 3:20
  you
• 3:20
  can
• 3:21
  build
• 3:21
  one
• 3:21
  too.
• 3:22
  A
• 3:22
  man
• 3:22
  in
• 3:23
  our
• 3:23
  community,
• 3:23
  and
• 3:23
  I'll
• 3:24
  call
• 3:24
  him
• 3:24
  Andrew,
• 3:25
  tied
• 3:25
  budgeting
• 3:26
  many
• 3:26
  times.
• 3:26
  He
• 3:27
  had
• 3:27
  dozens
• 3:27
  of
• 3:27
  apps,
• 3:28
  multiple
• 3:29
  planners,
• 3:29
  color
• 3:29
  coded
• 3:30
  spreadsheets,
• 3:31
  but
• 3:32
  nothing
• 3:32
  stuck.
• 3:33
  So
• 3:33
  I
• 3:34
  helped
• 3:34
  him.
• 3:34
  We
• 3:34
  stripped
• 3:34
  it
• 3:35
  down.
• 3:36
  Income,
• 3:37
  fixed
• 3:37
  expenses,
• 3:38
  Core
• 3:38
  categories,
• 3:39
  zero
• 3:39
  based
• 3:40
  balance.
• 3:40
  Just
• 3:40
  four
• 3:41
  things,
• 3:41
  just
• 3:41
  one
• 3:42
  page.
• 3:42
  It
• 3:42
  took
• 3:43
  10
• 3:43
  minutes.
• 3:44
  And
• 3:44
  Andrew
• 3:45
  told
• 3:45
  me
• 3:45
  later,
• 3:45
  he
• 3:45
  said,
• 3:46
  ralph,
• 3:46
  for
• 3:46
  the
• 3:46
  first
• 3:47
  time
• 3:47
  in
• 3:47
  my
• 3:47
  life,
• 3:48
  I
• 3:48
  finally
• 3:48
  feel
• 3:48
  like
• 3:49
  my
• 3:49
  money
• 3:49
  makes
• 3:49
  sense.
• 3:50
  See,
• 3:51
  that's
• 3:51
  the
• 3:51
  power
• 3:51
  of
• 3:52
  simple
• 3:52
  steps.
• 3:53
  So
• 3:53
  let
• 3:54
  me
• 3:54
  ask
• 3:54
  you,
• 3:54
  what
• 3:54
  if
• 3:55
  budgeting
• 3:55
  didn't
• 3:55
  feel
• 3:56
  stressful
• 3:56
  or
• 3:57
  complicated,
• 3:58
  but
• 3:58
  actually
• 3:58
  felt
• 3:59
  peaceful
• 3:59
  and
• 4:00
  manageable?
• 4:01
  Let's
• 4:01
  build
• 4:01
  that
• 4:02
  together.
• 4:03
  Let's
• 4:03
  take
• 4:03
  it,
• 4:03
  and
• 4:04
  let's
• 4:04
  do
• 4:04
  it
• 4:04
  step
• 4:04
  by
• 4:05
  step
• 4:05
  together.
• 4:05
  First
• 4:06
  thing
• 4:06
  I
• 4:06
  want
• 4:06
  you
• 4:06
  to
• 4:06
  do
• 4:07
  starts
• 4:07
  with
• 4:08
  this.
• 4:08
  List
• 4:08
  your
• 4:09
  income.
• 4:09
  Start
• 4:10
  with
• 4:10
  what's
• 4:10
  coming
• 4:11
  in.
• 4:11
  That's
• 4:11
  your
• 4:12
  job,
• 4:12
  your
• 4:12
  wages.
• 4:13
  Maybe
• 4:13
  you've
• 4:13
  got
• 4:14
  some
• 4:14
  side
• 4:14
  jobs,
• 4:15
  maybe
• 4:15
  you're
• 4:15
  retired.
• 4:16
  It's
• 4:16
  your
• 4:16
  Social
• 4:16
  Security
• 4:16
  or
• 4:17
  retirement,
• 4:18
  any
• 4:18
  consistent
• 4:19
  income,
• 4:19
  start
• 4:20
  there.
• 4:20
  That's
• 4:20
  your
• 4:20
  foundation.
• 4:21
  That's
• 4:22
  your
• 4:22
  starting
• 4:22
  point.
• 4:22
  And
• 4:23
  guess
• 4:23
  what?
• 4:23
  That's
• 4:23
  your
• 4:23
  reality.
• 4:24
  Because
• 4:24
  that's
• 4:24
  what's
• 4:24
  actually
• 4:25
  coming
• 4:25
  in
• 4:25
  the
• 4:25
  door.
• 4:26
  Second
• 4:27
  thing,
• 4:27
  list
• 4:27
  your
• 4:28
  fixed
• 4:28
  expenses.
• 4:29
  You're
• 4:29
  like,
• 4:29
  ralph,
• 4:29
  what
• 4:29
  are
• 4:29
  you
• 4:30
  talking
• 4:30
  about?
• 4:30
  These
• 4:31
  are
• 4:31
  your
• 4:31
  bills
• 4:31
  that
• 4:31
  come
• 4:32
  every
• 4:32
  month
• 4:32
  whether
• 4:33
  you're
• 4:33
  ready
• 4:33
  or
• 4:33
  not.
• 4:34
  Things
• 4:34
  like
• 4:34
  your
• 4:34
  mortgage
• 4:35
  or
• 4:35
  your
• 4:35
  rent,
• 4:36
  the
• 4:36
  utilities,
• 4:37
  your
• 4:37
  insurance,
• 4:38
  your
• 4:38
  Internet
• 4:39
  and
• 4:39
  your
• 4:39
  phone
• 4:40
  bill.
• 4:40
  Hey,
• 4:40
  everybody's
• 4:40
  got
• 4:40
  a
• 4:40
  phone
• 4:41
  these
• 4:41
  days,
• 4:41
  right?
• 4:41
  These
• 4:42
  don't
• 4:42
  change
• 4:42
  much,
• 4:43
  so
• 4:43
  they're
• 4:44
  easy
• 4:44
  to
• 4:44
  plan.
• 4:45
  This
• 4:45
  step
• 4:45
  alone
• 4:45
  brings
• 4:46
  so
• 4:46
  much
• 4:46
  peace
• 4:46
  because
• 4:46
  you
• 4:47
  know
• 4:47
  what
• 4:47
  to
• 4:48
  expect.
• 4:49
  Step
• 4:49
  number
• 4:49
  three
• 4:50
  is
• 4:50
  add
• 4:50
  in
• 4:51
  those
• 4:51
  core
• 4:51
  categories.
• 4:52
  Keep
• 4:52
  them
• 4:52
  simple.
• 4:53
  You
• 4:53
  notice
• 4:53
  I'm
• 4:53
  not
• 4:53
  giving
• 4:54
  you
• 4:54
  22
• 4:54
  items.
• 4:56
  Saving,
• 4:57
  giving,
• 4:57
  debt
• 4:58
  payments,
• 4:59
  groceries,
• 4:59
  hey,
• 4:59
  we
• 4:59
  all
• 5:00
  got
• 5:00
  to
• 5:00
  eat,
• 5:00
  gas
• 5:01
  and
• 5:01
  those
• 5:01
  extras.
• 5:02
  You
• 5:02
  don't
• 5:02
  need
• 5:03
  22
• 5:03
  categories.
• 5:04
  You
• 5:04
  just
• 5:04
  need
• 5:05
  clarity.
• 5:05
  The
• 5:06
  point
• 5:06
  isn't
• 5:06
  control,
• 5:07
  it's
• 5:07
  actually
• 5:08
  direction.
• 5:09
  And
• 5:09
  step
• 5:10
  four,
• 5:10
  finally,
• 5:11
  balance
• 5:11
  to
• 5:12
  zero.
• 5:12
  See,
• 5:12
  this
• 5:12
  is
• 5:13
  the
• 5:13
  secret.
• 5:13
  You
• 5:13
  want
• 5:13
  to
• 5:13
  know
• 5:13
  the
• 5:14
  secret?
• 5:14
  This
• 5:14
  is
• 5:15
  a
• 5:15
  secret.
• 5:15
  Every
• 5:16
  dollar
• 5:16
  gets
• 5:17
  an
• 5:17
  assignment.
• 5:18
  And
• 5:18
  that's
• 5:18
  not
• 5:18
  done
• 5:19
  to
• 5:19
  restrict
• 5:19
  you,
• 5:19
  but
• 5:19
  to
• 5:20
  guide
• 5:20
  you.
• 5:20
  And
• 5:21
  when
• 5:21
  you
• 5:21
  balance
• 5:21
  to
• 5:22
  zero,
• 5:22
  you
• 5:22
  stop
• 5:22
  wondering,
• 5:23
  where
• 5:23
  did
• 5:23
  my
• 5:23
  money
• 5:24
  go?
• 5:24
  Because
• 5:24
  you
• 5:24
  know
• 5:25
  exactly
• 5:25
  where
• 5:25
  every
• 5:25
  dollar
• 5:26
  went
• 5:26
  because
• 5:26
  you
• 5:27
  told
• 5:27
  it
• 5:27
  where
• 5:27
  to
• 5:27
  go
• 5:27
  in
• 5:28
  the
• 5:28
  first
• 5:28
  place.
• 5:29
  This
• 5:29
  is
• 5:29
  where
• 5:30
  peace
• 5:30
  begins.
• 5:31
  And
• 5:32
  see,
• 5:32
  Jesus
• 5:32
  himself
• 5:33
  taught
• 5:33
  this
• 5:33
  wisdom
• 5:33
  long
• 5:34
  before
• 5:34
  budgeting
• 5:35
  apps
• 5:35
  even
• 5:35
  existed.
• 5:36
  Look
• 5:36
  at
• 5:36
  Luke
• 5:37
  14:28.
• 5:39
  Suppose
• 5:39
  one
• 5:39
  of
• 5:39
  you
• 5:39
  wants
• 5:40
  to
• 5:40
  build
• 5:40
  a
• 5:40
  tower.
• 5:41
  Once
• 5:41
  you
• 5:41
  first
• 5:42
  sit
• 5:42
  down
• 5:42
  and
• 5:42
  estimate
• 5:43
  the
• 5:43
  cost
• 5:43
  to
• 5:43
  see
• 5:43
  if
• 5:43
  you
• 5:44
  have
• 5:44
  enough
• 5:44
  money
• 5:44
  to
• 5:44
  complete
• 5:45
  it.
• 5:46
  It's
• 5:46
  Jesus.
• 5:47
  See,
• 5:47
  that
• 5:48
  planning
• 5:48
  isn't
• 5:48
  fear.
• 5:49
  That
• 5:49
  planning
• 5:49
  is
• 5:50
  wisdom.
• 5:51
  It's
• 5:51
  stewardship.
• 5:52
  It's
• 5:52
  obedience.
• 5:54
  And
• 5:54
  it's
• 5:54
  peace.
• 5:56
  Lord,
• 5:56
  we
• 5:56
  just
• 5:56
  thank
• 5:56
  you
• 5:57
  for
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  gift
• 5:57
  of
• 5:57
  order
• 5:57
  and
• 5:58
  peace
• 5:58
  that
• 5:58
  comes
• 5:58
  from
• 5:59
  clarity.
• 5:59
  Let
• 6:00
  us
• 6:00
  build
• 6:00
  budgets
• 6:01
  that
• 6:01
  honor
• 6:01
  you,
• 6:01
  that
• 6:02
  reflect
• 6:02
  your
• 6:02
  wisdom,
• 6:03
  and
• 6:03
  that
• 6:04
  strengthen
• 6:04
  our
• 6:04
  households.
• 6:06
  Give
• 6:06
  us
• 6:06
  discernment
• 6:06
  as
• 6:07
  we
• 6:07
  count
• 6:07
  the
• 6:07
  cost,
• 6:08
  and
• 6:08
  courage
• 6:09
  as
• 6:09
  we
• 6:09
  take
• 6:09
  the
• 6:10
  next
• 6:10
  step.
• 6:10
  And
• 6:10
  we
• 6:10
  ask
• 6:11
  this
• 6:11
  in
• 6:11
  Jesus
• 6:12
  name,
• 6:13
  Amen.
• 6:14
  All
• 6:14
  right,
• 6:14
  here's
• 6:14
  today's
• 6:15
  step.
• 6:15
  I
• 6:15
  want
• 6:16
  you
• 6:16
  to
• 6:16
  write
• 6:16
  down
• 6:16
  your
• 6:16
  income
• 6:17
  and
• 6:17
  your
• 6:18
  fixed
• 6:18
  expenses.
• 6:18
  That's
• 6:19
  it.
• 6:19
  I
• 6:19
  just
• 6:19
  want
• 6:19
  you
• 6:19
  to
• 6:19
  begin.
• 6:20
  You're
• 6:20
  already
• 6:21
  building
• 6:21
  your
• 6:21
  budget
• 6:22
  with
• 6:22
  just
• 6:22
  those
• 6:22
  couple
• 6:23
  things.
• 6:24
  A
• 6:24
  member
• 6:24
  of
• 6:24
  our
• 6:25
  committee
• 6:25
  wrote
• 6:25
  this.
• 6:25
  I
• 6:26
  always
• 6:26
  thought
• 6:26
  budgeting
• 6:27
  was
• 6:27
  overwhelming,
• 6:28
  but
• 6:28
  this
• 6:28
  group
• 6:28
  helped
• 6:29
  me
• 6:29
  break
• 6:29
  it
• 6:29
  down
• 6:29
  into
• 6:30
  simple
• 6:30
  steps.
• 6:32
  People
• 6:32
  here
• 6:32
  don't
• 6:32
  shame
• 6:33
  you.
• 6:33
  They
• 6:33
  walk
• 6:34
  with
• 6:34
  you,
• 6:35
  friend.
• 6:35
  You
• 6:35
  don't
• 6:36
  have
• 6:36
  to
• 6:36
  build
• 6:36
  your
• 6:36
  2026
• 6:37
  budget
• 6:37
  alone
• 6:38
  either.

• 6:42
  hey,
• 6:42
  it's
• 6:43
  Safe.

• 6:52
  walk
• 6:52
  this
• 6:52
  road
• 6:52
  together.
• 6:54
  Remember
• 6:54
  this.
• 6:55
  You
• 6:55
  don't
• 6:55
  need
• 6:55
  the
• 6:56
  perfect
• 6:56
  budget.
• 6:57
  You
• 6:57
  just
• 6:57
  need
• 6:57
  a
• 6:57
  simple
• 6:58
  one.
• 6:58
  You
• 6:59
  need
• 6:59
  one
• 6:59
  that
• 6:59
  brings
• 7:00
  peace,
• 7:00
  you
• 7:01
  need
• 7:01
  one
• 7:01
  that
• 7:01
  brings
• 7:01
  clarity,
• 7:02
  and
• 7:03
  you
• 7:03
  need
• 7:03
  one
• 7:03
  that
• 7:03
  brings
• 7:04
  order.
• 7:04
  Because
• 7:05
  I'm
• 7:05
  going
• 7:05
  to
• 7:05
  tell
• 7:05
  you
• 7:05
  right
• 7:05
  now,
• 7:06
  you
• 7:06
  are
• 7:06
  capable,
• 7:07
  you
• 7:07
  are
• 7:07
  growing,

  and
• 7:09
  God
• 7:09
  is
• 7:09
  guiding
• 7:09
  your
• 7:10
  steps.
• 7:10
  Go
• 7:11
  out
• 7:11
  there
• 7:11
  today
• 7:11
  and

  a
• 7:12
  financially
• 7:13
  confident
• 7:13
  Christian.
• 7:14
  You
• 7:14
  can
• 7:14
  do
• 7:15
  this.
• 7:15
  I
• 7:15
  have
• 7:15
  confidence
• 7:16
  in
• 7:16
  you,

  Stay
