- 0:00oh my story yes so last night or actually in the early morning hours of this morning
- 0:21i was thinking about slim fast well i was trying to come up with my own drink i was like oh i want
- 0:27to come up with my own beverage that like hits all my macros like if i could just drink like a
- 0:33like a weight loss jelly but it like made you feel great yeah and that's all i had to eat yeah done
- 0:39yeah you don't think about it you don't have to worry about it right here's my meal here's my
- 0:43soylent green yeah anyway um so i was like oh remember slim fast how great was the original
- 0:50slim fast dutch royale chocolate but then they changed it and they got away from the can and
- 0:57I put everything in a plastic bottle.
- 0:59Nobody liked it after that.
- 1:00So I dropped it in an email.
- 1:01I'll read it to you.
- 1:02Send it to them.
- 1:03Okay.
- 1:05Here it is.
- 1:06I'm an executive at SlimFast.
- 1:11Let me pull up my laptop, my email for the day.
- 1:15Oh, wait.
- 1:17Let me take a sip of coffee before I read this next one.
- 1:20It's an interesting subject line.
- 1:23Francis, V.O.
- 1:25please re-release your chocolate beverage in an aluminum can the people yearn for the can
- 1:31i'm sorry but those tetra packs are not it and plastic is so not the vibe on top of it
- 1:36your cans were really something special thick ridged substantial think about it i know i have
- 1:43p.s i have fun ideas for commercials let's get you back in the game
- 1:47oh he likes my cans
- 1:53I really did have amazing hands.
- 1:59Somebody get Donald Aluminum on the phone now.
- 2:04It's ringing, sir.
- 2:07Donald?
- 2:09You're awesome.
- 2:10You know that new idea you've been looking for?
- 2:14It's actually an old idea.
- 2:18What?
- 2:23and give me the boys and ad sales this francis guy has going places
- 2:31wow well i can see uh how we all know exactly what was going on in the slim fest slim fast uh
- 2:38offices this morning yeah just it must have been a mad dash of activity and oh they responded too
- 2:45oh they did yeah they said we'll get this over to the right team basically is what they said
- 2:50wow yeah so things are happening and i do i have four commercials ready to go
- 2:55wow yeah oh i can't wait to see them because they're i'm assuming they're yeah it's like
- 3:03commercials like video not yeah not like ad campaigns like print no no no no video okay um
- 3:09i my plan is to become their spokesperson okay because they need a spokesperson like jared fogle
- 3:17i'm thinking more criminally though okay good um yes it was the thing i was a one downside to
- 3:29jared too innocent yeah too too innocent all of the rules um no not like that but like what does
- 3:38progressive have state farm liberty mutual a well-known spokesperson yeah you know they need
- 3:46to see me get hot on their product.
- 3:49Yeah.
- 3:49So that's why I wrote the commercials.
- 3:52Okay.
- 3:54I think it'll work.
- 3:55I can't wait to see them.
- 3:57Fun fact about me, one time I had the same idea with spam.
- 4:00I was going to be like the spam boy.
- 4:03And so I bought a bunch of stuff from spam.
- 4:05Sunglasses, posters, and the meat, of course.
- 4:08I was so excited.
- 4:09I'm like, I'm going to lose all this weight on spam.
- 4:11And I tried it, and I'm like, maybe not.
- 4:14Wait, you had this whole plan before you had ever tried spam?
- 4:17I never tried it.
- 4:18No, the commercial looked good, though.
- 4:20Hmm, is this a pork?
- 4:21Hmm.
- 4:21And I'm like, oh, that looks great.
- 4:25It's...
- 4:25What?
- 4:25This was all they had during World War II?
- 4:29Those ungrateful wenches.
- 4:31Lobster in a can.
- 4:34Is spam particularly good for you?
- 4:39It's a little high in sodium.
- 4:41But I mean, like, is it...
- 4:43It's processed meat?
- 4:46It's a meat, yeah.
- 4:47So if you're doing a low-carb thing, you want to keep your protein up.
- 4:50That was my big plan.
- 4:51And I was like, I have the sunglasses on.
- 4:53It says Spam on the side.
- 4:54They're going to take a video of me in a pool on an inflatable flamingo being thin.
- 5:00Yeah.
- 5:00A flamingo that says Spam on the side.
- 5:01Yeah.
- 5:02Yeah, once I start selling it.
- 5:03A flamingo made of Spam.
- 5:05Oh, my God.
- 5:06Why is my tube sinking?
- 5:09Why am I eating my sinking tube?
- 5:13Yeah.
- 5:13So I hope you loved my hilarious anecdotes about spam.
- 5:18And I almost forgot the thing that you're the spokesperson for.
- 5:24Yeah.
- 5:24Yeah.
- 5:25Oh, no.
- 5:26The boys in ad sales aren't going to like that.
- 5:29No, they'll like it once they hear the commercials.
- 5:30They're really good commercials.
- 5:32So they do.
- 5:34What?
- 5:35Oh, yours are.
- 5:36I thought you said they don't have any.
- 5:38They even have like a tick tock with like 10 videos.
- 5:40They're not trying anymore.
- 5:43Let's get you back in the game.
- 5:46I really think I could do it.
- 5:48I believe in you.
- 5:49I believe you could.
- 5:50Thanks.
- 5:51Yeah.
- 5:52Welcome to Very Fine Friends, a podcast where friends talk about stuff.
- 5:59Well, I know how you are, Francis.
- 6:01I mean, you're cooking.
- 6:03Your things are percolating.
- 6:05I'm sipping.
- 6:06You're going to be the spokesperson for Slim Fast.
- 6:11Yeah.
- 6:11You're going to be a household name, like Flo.
- 6:15Yeah.
- 6:15And the Lemu Emu.
- 6:17Lemu Emu!
- 6:20Yeah, we're going to make these products bestsellers again.
- 6:25Yeah.
- 6:25Yeah.
- 6:26It really does seem like the time is right for a SlimFest comeback.
- 6:31Thank you.
- 6:32It really does, now that I think about it.
- 6:34I mean, yeah.
- 6:37With like Ozempic on the rise and...
- 6:39you brand it as like a more natural alternative to ozempic one of my commercials actually does
- 6:45such a thing nice yeah so we agree plus they're fortified vitamins minerals yeah yeah i mean
- 6:54well you're not and that's one of the problems with ozempic that it's like people are talking
- 6:59about it it's like people don't eat so they don't get the nutrients that they need and so like and
- 7:04So they're losing a lot of like bone density and stuff.
- 7:07It's like not real, like good, healthy weight loss.
- 7:11So, man, SlimFast, get on this quickly.
- 7:16Thank you.
- 7:17I can't, I can't.
- 7:18I'm, well, oh, my phone's ringing.
- 7:20Oh, I'll answer it.
- 7:22Yeah, leave it.
- 7:24We can, after the pod.
- 7:26Quick interruption.
- 7:28Every week on the podcast, we do something where our producer, Joe,
- 7:32gives, Francis and I each our own secret word. Throughout the course of the podcast,
- 7:39we need to find a way to slip the secret word into our conversation without the other person
- 7:45noticing. If the other person can correctly guess the secret word, they get a point. And
- 7:51right before we die, we add up all the points. And then we get a prize, whoever has the most
- 7:58points for guessing the most secret words. Here's Joe with today's secret words.
- 8:04Jenna's secret word is festivals. Jenna's decoy word is agonized. Francis's secret word is
- 8:12anecdotes. Francis's decoy word is bestseller. Back to the pod. I hate to put this burden on you
- 8:24to further invent things or come up with these brilliant ideas,
- 8:28but it is that time for the invention of the week.
- 8:37Inventions.
- 8:41Okay, Francis, dazzle us again with more of your good ideas.
- 8:46Okay, this week, the invention is a can of Slimfast.
- 8:50Ooh.
- 8:53No.
- 8:54Get Donald Aluminum on the phone.
- 8:57His nickname is Dawg.
- 9:01Okay, so the invention is...
- 9:04Remember shark toes?
- 9:07Sure, I'm wearing them right now.
- 9:09That was weird that you're walking around with a mattress shoe, but yeah.
- 9:14Never know when I'm going to need to lie down.
- 9:16I just want to be ready.
- 9:18I'm tripping over my own shoe and then going to bed.
- 9:20so this is another
- 9:23bedroom related invention
- 9:25which I think you're really going to like
- 9:27okay
- 9:28here it is
- 9:33okay
- 9:33you know how
- 9:37we bathe
- 9:38yes I do know that
- 9:40you know how
- 9:42we're lazy
- 9:44I do know that
- 9:46you know how we sleep
- 9:48I do know that
- 9:50my invention is
- 9:54the love child of a car wash
- 9:57and a bed
- 9:58and basically how it works is
- 10:01you go to sleep
- 10:02and then you set
- 10:05your alarm
- 10:07and in the morning when your alarm
- 10:09goes off
- 10:10the bed
- 10:13moves to one side or the other
- 10:17wherever the car wash
- 10:19section is it moves you into it and it you like slide into the like
- 10:27fiberglass bed you know it deposits you lovingly into a bath yeah okay and it closes a thing that
- 10:37just leaves your um head exposed okay and then it washes you water turns on soap dispensers like
- 10:46you don't do anything you just sit there and it bathes you and then um when you're ready because
- 10:51you're awake at this point um it opens and you slide in and it does your head
- 10:58okay and so it cleans you and then it air dries you with a with a with a
- 11:05you know just like in a car wash yeah so it washes you dries you and then as it's drying you
- 11:13your windshield wipers
- 11:15start flapping a little bit.
- 11:18Does it put like a little
- 11:20scent sticker thing on you
- 11:23when it's done? A little hanging tree? Yeah.
- 11:25Is that what they're called? Sure.
- 11:27I think so. Little trees.
- 11:29Little trees. Little trees. I regret
- 11:30what I said before. Anyway
- 11:33so. Hanging
- 11:35trees. You know what I meant.
- 11:37Yeah.
- 11:39Yeah, that's it.
- 11:42And then what happens
- 11:43to the way okay so it's like you slide in so you slide into your used bath water
- 11:49no it's new it new bath water why would you slide it to use bath water once you're done it drains
- 11:56it away okay but then you're sitting there freezing because it's cold it dries you with
- 12:01warm air but you haven't done your head yet oh i'm talking about the transition between body and head
- 12:06oh so before your head gets done
- 12:10your body is just washed and it stays wet.
- 12:16Then it opens and you slide in
- 12:19and your body's still wet
- 12:21while your head's getting wet and soaked.
- 12:23Yes, but wouldn't you be cold if there's...
- 12:27You're either sitting in the same bath water
- 12:29just keeping you warm.
- 12:31It's a tube that you're in
- 12:32so everything stays the right temperature.
- 12:35It's like a humid rainforest in there.
- 12:38Okay.
- 12:40There's proprietary thermoregulating technology involved.
- 12:43Oh, okay.
- 12:43All right, good.
- 12:45Yeah, called a hot water tank.
- 12:50Okay.
- 12:54Well, it seems like it would be a fun ride,
- 12:56but let me just iron out some more kinks here.
- 13:01So for me, the head part of the shower
- 13:04is the main part of the shower.
- 13:07And I'm going to be honest with you here.
- 13:10in terms of cleaning the body,
- 13:13I really just hit a couple major areas.
- 13:15I don't really like,
- 13:16there's not like a lot of washing going on.
- 13:19Yeah, just some key spots.
- 13:26So I don't know that you'd need that much kind of body.
- 13:29It makes it sound like this is some pretty intense scrubbing going on.
- 13:33You can set the level of intensity.
- 13:35Okay.
- 13:36And if you prefer a system that only gives you head,
- 13:39I mean, does your head.
- 13:44Go on.
- 13:47Oh.
- 13:48I know.
- 13:50Now suddenly I picture this selling.
- 13:52Well, I was thinking like, you know, it could go over you like a perm helmet.
- 13:57Okay.
- 13:58And then you just latch onto a snorkel tube for your mouth so you can breathe while it washes your head and hair.
- 14:09And then it dries you and you can let it go.
- 14:12Is it compatible with the loose tube system?
- 14:15So if you have both inventions, maybe you could, like while you have the air tube, if you get thirsty for like Coke, you could switch the nozzle.
- 14:23If you buy both systems now.
- 14:25You act now.
- 14:27We'll give a substantial discount.
- 14:28Yeah, there's like a little lever that you're breathing air, now you're drinking Coke.
- 14:33and you do have
- 14:36lever systems
- 14:37or what was the
- 14:39valve systems
- 14:41we've already got that proprietary technology
- 14:44yeah from our food bad success
- 14:45yeah
- 14:46okay
- 14:49how big is this
- 14:52because people don't have a lot of
- 14:54spare room in their bedrooms
- 14:55right
- 14:57this is
- 15:00if you have a
- 15:03if you
- 15:04okay
- 15:09it's
- 15:10it's part of your
- 15:13bed so
- 15:15it's like you're sleeping on
- 15:17say you have a king okay I do
- 15:20half of it
- 15:20is for you and your mate so I sleeping on a twin now Okay Well this is mostly for single people who don like getting up to take a shower
- 15:35Okay.
- 15:36We like to sleep in.
- 15:37You know, I'm single.
- 15:39I like to sleep in.
- 15:42I like to sleep in too.
- 15:44But then, okay.
- 15:45So, okay.
- 15:46So keep going.
- 15:47So it takes up half your bed.
- 15:48Let's just be real.
- 15:48Not everyone has room for this.
- 15:50It's not my problem to solve.
- 15:52The country's architecture.
- 15:53I didn't say it was.
- 15:54I just was asking how big it was.
- 15:56I just want to know.
- 15:58Big enough.
- 15:59Okay.
- 16:00Yeah.
- 16:00So it's like if you have a queen bed, right?
- 16:03And you have a mate and you can sleep with your mate.
- 16:06It's the only one person can use this at a time.
- 16:09So you're going to have to pick who's sleeping in the car wash zone.
- 16:15Who needs it more?
- 16:17Who needs it more?
- 16:18Yeah.
- 16:18You can take turns.
- 16:19You don't have to shower every day anyway.
- 16:22That's a big shower myth.
- 16:23I do shower every day.
- 16:25I don't feel good if I don't shower.
- 16:27Even if I'm not leaving the house, I still shower.
- 16:30Yeah.
- 16:30Me too, except when I'm really depressed and I just stay in my bed and I don't get up.
- 16:35That's not a good thing.
- 16:38Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:40I feel like this would actually be a really pleasant way to wake up.
- 16:44If you have it at a soft massage level, it could be like you wake up in the morning.
- 16:51Yeah.
- 16:51I'm like clean and I'm being gently rubbed awake.
- 16:54Gently rubbed awake.
- 16:55Yeah, I like that.
- 16:57I think a lot of people would enjoy this.
- 16:59Okay, what about for the people like myself who don't shower immediately when they wake up?
- 17:06Like I wake up, I go to the gym.
- 17:09Then I'll come home and shower.
- 17:12So do I have to like then get into my bed and just like go, okay, bed.
- 17:17Do your thing.
- 17:18You can do it manually.
- 17:20Absolutely.
- 17:20You can get in and be like, wash me now.
- 17:23Oh, that's the name.
- 17:24Wash me now?
- 17:25Yeah.
- 17:26I mean, it just came up with it.
- 17:29I was thinking sleep to clean.
- 17:33Sleep cycle?
- 17:34I was also thinking sleep cycle.
- 17:36Okay.
- 17:37Wait, wash me now.
- 17:41Oh, okay.
- 17:42Two peas.
- 17:43Nice pod, huh?
- 17:44Sleep.
- 17:45Two peas on the pod.
- 17:47to pee or not to pod
- 17:51I think that's it you guys
- 17:55wrap it up
- 17:56thank you for listening to
- 17:59very fine friends
- 18:00also known as
- 18:01you were saying
- 18:03yeah sorry I was too busy writing down your genius ideas
- 18:07thank you
- 18:08okay so it can be done manually
- 18:11what if you
- 18:12I feel like this is ripe for pranks
- 18:15like setting somebody's alarm so that like it's like 3 30 in the morning and all of a sudden
- 18:21they're like now they're taking a bath yeah you can only prank someone with it one time though
- 18:30how come because it's proprietary anti-prank technology i don't know what happened anyway
- 18:36i'd love if you slept over again tomorrow night um what about people that
- 18:43is there a way to do this where people don't even have to wake up
- 18:49like is it gentle enough that people could sleep through it i don't know if there's
- 18:56something gentle enough in the world that if it started soaking you and rubbing you
- 19:01you would remain sleeping i feel like i'm the closest person to that because i'm a very deep
- 19:07sleeper but even me i feel like if someone was like scrubbing me i would be like
- 19:13okay uh i i worry that this would be a lot of wet in your room um no there's no there's
- 19:37No.
- 19:38Okay.
- 19:39No, it's...
- 19:40No.
- 19:41Okay.
- 19:42It moves you into a capsule that seals.
- 19:45And then when it's done, it drains the water out.
- 19:48And the air dryer gets rid of all the remaining water.
- 19:52Here's a demonstration.
- 19:54Okay.
- 19:59Whoa.
- 20:00There was so much water in this room and now it's all gone.
- 20:02You get it.
- 20:03Yeah.
- 20:05What do you think?
- 20:06Best seller?
- 20:07um i think i like the idea of like a human car wash just because i think that'd be fun to try
- 20:16and i like doing it on a bed because it's fun to have beds moving like i like the idea of beds
- 20:21being pushed places oh can there be like uh an in like an indoor section where people can watch
- 20:27you getting washed like when they watch their cars getting washed well it's like a it's like
- 20:31a Snow White's casket.
- 20:33It's glass.
- 20:34Oh, okay.
- 20:35So you can...
- 20:36What about people
- 20:36that are claustrophobic?
- 20:39They will get their bed wet,
- 20:41but they can't open the capsule
- 20:42to get out at any time.
- 20:44Also, why would you buy it?
- 20:46This is like those...
- 20:47Yeah, you idiots.
- 20:48People who like...
- 20:49What are you doing?
- 20:49People post recipes
- 20:50and they're like,
- 20:50here's my famous bean salad
- 20:52and someone always comments,
- 20:53what if I don't like beans?
- 20:54It's like, get the hell out of here.
- 20:55This isn't for you.
- 20:57Yeah.
- 20:58Then shut up.
- 21:00You idiot.
- 21:01Yeah.
- 21:02So we'll put a strong disclaimer on the website.
- 21:04Okay.
- 21:05If you have claustrophobia, maybe just use a regular shower.
- 21:10Okay.
- 21:11Yeah.
- 21:14It'll say you dumb bitch too.
- 21:17Okay.
- 21:18You know what inspired this idea?
- 21:20I thought, how is it that it's 2025 and we don't have a shower system that washes you in your clothes?
- 21:25why don't you just put on a dirty outfit get in the shower you get clean and the clothes get clean
- 21:32and then dries you i i mean i yeah that's a lot of technology that needs to be invented still
- 21:41maybe one day yeah baby steps baby steps let's start with just washing you in your bed first
- 21:48this is the kind of thing that i could see being fun as like a ride
- 21:52like at amusement parks or festivals or something,
- 21:57just like, hey, let's go get in the bed and wash ourselves.
- 22:03It just feels more like a ride to me.
- 22:05I'm picturing it like a bed going through a car wash.
- 22:09That's fun too.
- 22:10Are there going to be the fun different colored soaps that squirt on you?
- 22:14And like a light show?
- 22:15Yeah, a light show.
- 22:16And then you're going to hear this.
- 22:18Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum.
- 22:21that's roller coaster i was trying to do car wash i messed it up i was gonna say this are there
- 22:29car washes that make like fun noises there should be wow stay tuned next week yeah inventing a
- 22:37car wash okay it's a car wash but you take you drive through it into your bed wait
- 22:43and there's sounds this sounds like a dream i wouldn't know i was i like wouldn't recognize
- 22:48was a dream okay this is not related to the invention of the week but i had a dream
- 22:53last night that we were recording this episode but we were in the car that francis you were
- 22:58driving and joe you were in the back seat with the computer and francis you started and you were
- 23:03just like welcome and then we were both singing like so that's the opening we never actually said
- 23:13the name of the podcast it was just us singing back and forth and i was like man i hope like
- 23:18Like in my head, I was like, we don't have mics right now.
- 23:20I hope the recording is picking all this up because Joe's really laughing really hard at this.
- 23:25Yeah, that sounds way better than anything we had planned for today.
- 23:29Yeah.
- 23:29We should try that one time.
- 23:30Just a car recording?
- 23:33Yeah.
- 23:33Okay.
- 23:35And then, yeah, I was like doing backup vocals.
- 23:38I love that idea.
- 23:39Okay.
- 23:40This all feels very fortuitous.
- 23:42All right, we'll do it.
- 23:43Oh, and we can do it in a drive-thru in a car wash.
- 23:45and then
- 23:47we wouldn't even need ASMR sounds

- 25:21Yeah.
- 25:23Doctor period.
- 25:29Based in Tampa, Florida.
- 25:31Do you also call Tampa, Florida, Tampon Florida?
- 25:34Yeah.
- 25:35Okay, good.
- 25:35Doesn't everyone?
- 25:36I know is the answer to that question, and I don't know why.
- 25:42Well, people who live there are probably sensitive about it.
- 25:45Well, the people that live there should change the name of the town.
- 25:48Yeah, Tampa.
- 25:49Tampa.
- 25:50Tampa.
- 25:51You got a Tampa.
- 25:52Sure, Jan.
- 25:53Yeah.
- 25:54Come on.
- 25:55Tampa, if you're listening, we know you are.
- 25:58We know you are.
- 25:59Pull your head out of your vagina.
- 26:03That should be the slogan for tampons.
- 26:05Yeah, it should.
- 26:05We should start our own company.
- 26:07Oh, okay.
- 26:08We should find tampons.
- 26:08we're getting so much done god what a productive day we're clean our flows are stopped
- 26:16all right um we're getting slim
- 26:22all right uh well yeah this is gonna be this is gonna be in in homes everywhere i think yeah
- 26:36I totally agree.
- 26:39And some condos.
- 26:41If the HOAs are not being dicks about it.
- 26:44They can't say shit about what's inside the house.
- 26:47Are you sure?
- 26:48It feels like that would be something they would dictate if it's potentially water-based.
- 26:53Your washer could explode at any time.
- 26:56They can only give you crap about what's outside.
- 26:59You know how they're washing machines without agitators in the middle now?
- 27:03We just got one.
- 27:04so it's just like a big tub.
- 27:06Do you think anyone's ever climbed in it
- 27:08and tried to wash themselves in it?
- 27:13I know what we're doing later.
- 27:15And while they were doing it,
- 27:16they were like,
- 27:16oh, why can't I do this in my bed?
- 27:19Yeah.
- 27:19Totally, it was 5 a.m.
- 27:25It's clearly going to sell.
- 27:27So get yours now, folks.
- 27:30Veryfinefriends.com.
- 27:32They're flying off.
- 27:33Oh, I just got an alert.
- 27:34We only have three left.
- 27:35Oh my gosh.
- 27:36Oh no.
- 27:37I knew it was a great idea.
- 27:38I love myself.
- 27:41That wraps up the invention of the week.
- 27:44Good job.
- 27:45Thank you.
- 27:47My brain hurts.
- 27:49Well, it's done.
- 27:50You done good, kid.
- 27:51Thanks, Paul.
- 27:53It's time to get to our next segment.
- 27:59Psychic bosom.
- 28:01Yes.
- 28:04Coming to theaters this summer, it's Psychic Blizzom.
- 28:14Okay, Francis, why don't you explain this one?
- 28:20Psychic Blizzom works like this.
- 28:23One of us will tell a story of an event or whatever, anything we want.
- 28:28and we will do this while the other person is constantly interrupting to kind of guess where
- 28:35things are going okay that's it highly technical hope you got it okay are you gonna tell a story
- 28:44sure okay i'll tell the story i will begin shortly once the story has come to me and it's on its way
- 28:52and it's queuing up.
- 28:56And it's in the little train station that's inside your brain?
- 29:00I see what you're doing.
- 29:01Ah.
- 29:02Here we go.
- 29:04When I was a kid, my dad used to take me to Rocky Point all the time.
- 29:07Like we basically lived in Rocky Point.
- 29:10And my dad sold real estate down there.
- 29:12And a lot of times we would live in...
- 29:16Inside the car of the people that would come to see the property that you were selling?
- 29:22No, we never lived in a car.
- 29:24Okay, sorry.
- 29:25It's okay.
- 29:25Go on.
- 29:26We lived in homes, like local homes.
- 29:30Not like beach property, like the middle of Rocky Point homes.
- 29:35And one time there was a carnival.
- 29:39And a clown came and he bit your toe off.
- 29:49No, a clown did not come and bite my toe off.
- 29:51Oh, I'm so sorry.
- 29:52it's okay keep going uh anyway it was a little carnival in the middle of town and they had
- 29:58street corn like real street corn and that was like the first time i tried it it was it was very
- 30:04good but you were deathly allergic to it and you didn't have an epi pen and so that's why you're
- 30:11dead now no oh okay i'm sorry i wasn't allergic to it and i didn't die oh sorry it's okay
- 30:17so i like how annoyed you're getting with me no so this pre-arranged game not annoyed
- 30:26okay so i'm sorry keep going no it's okay um i don't know if you know this but you you're not
- 30:32supposed to drink the water down there um i don't know if that's just like we're not supposed to
- 30:38drink i don't know how this works i just know that you could you can get sick drinking the water
- 30:41unless it's purified.
- 30:44So you purified it for the whole town
- 30:47and then they hailed you as a local hero
- 30:48and you welcome there ever since And there a statue of you Holding up a small child The Rocky Point Town Square Holding up a small child Smaller than you because you were a child when you were there Yeah
- 30:59And so that's why the statue is of you as a child, but you're holding a smaller child too.
- 31:03Yeah.
- 31:04Is that what happened?
- 31:05That's it, right?
- 31:07I don't think that's what happened.
- 31:10Oh, okay.
- 31:10Oh, sorry.
- 31:11Sorry.
- 31:11Go on.
- 31:11Okay.
- 31:12I mean, because there could be a statue of me down there, but I've never seen it, nor was I notified.
- 31:17There probably is.
- 31:18There is, yeah.
- 31:19Yeah.
- 31:19So one time, we have to go fill up the water, like, at a purification system place.
- 31:26Instead, you accidentally went to Lake Titicaca and just got that water and drank lake water.
- 31:36Is that in Mexico?
- 31:36And you got Giardia.
- 31:38It's somewhere in South America.
- 31:39I don't know where it is.
- 31:40I just like saying it.
- 31:41It's in South America, I'm pretty sure.
- 31:43Yeah, pretty sure that's correct.
- 31:45Pretty Shitty Caca, that's correct?
- 31:47No, I didn't do that.
- 31:48Oh, I'm sorry.
- 31:49No, it's okay.
- 31:50Easy mistake.
- 31:52Anyway, I didn't know that you also had to cook with clean water.
- 31:56So I was like making mac and cheese with regular water.
- 31:59And my dad walked in and he was like,
- 32:01What are you doing?
- 32:03I was like, Chad, what?
- 32:04He's like, you're supposed to use a bottled water.
- 32:07And then a lizard came out of your macaroni and cheese
- 32:11because there was a lizard in the unpurified water.
- 32:14And the lizard was just sitting there with a little tiny fork.
- 32:17A little tiny lizard fork.
- 32:18eaten the mac and cheese?
- 32:21No.
- 32:22Oh.
- 32:22There was no lizard.
- 32:23I'm sorry.
- 32:24It's okay.
- 32:24Sorry, go on.
- 32:25He also used to let me ride a quad on my own with no helmet.
- 32:30But by quad, you mean a horse?
- 32:36Okay, I see why you would think that,
- 32:37because horses have four legs.
- 32:40But no, I meant quad.
- 32:42Sorry, go on.
- 32:43It's okay, ATV, maybe if that helps.
- 32:46Anyway, so I would ride on my own all day out in the desert.
- 32:48and this is really sad.
- 32:50One time I...
- 32:51Saw a train being robbed
- 32:54by some meth dealers
- 32:56and then they shot you?
- 32:59Because you saw them?
- 33:01No.
- 33:02That was in Breaking Bad.
- 33:03Oh, sorry.
- 33:04Go on.
- 33:05That's okay.
- 33:05So I...
- 33:06I flipped over a donut.
- 33:11And when I say donut,
- 33:11I mean like a donut in the ground.
- 33:14You mean like a thing that you eat?
- 33:16No.
- 33:17I mean the thing that...
- 33:18Sorry.
- 33:18That digs into the ground from constant circles like a donut.
- 33:25Okay.
- 33:27Go on.
- 33:29Anyway, and I didn't see it because there was dust.
- 33:32And I rode over it and I flipped over.
- 33:35And I landed on the ground.
- 33:37But you landed on your feet and you put your arms up like a gymnast.
- 33:42And then you didn't know it, but there were judges right there that held up signs saying 10, 10, 10, 10.
- 33:47And then there was one that said 8.3 and you were like, what the hell?
- 33:52To the 8.3 guy.
- 33:53And then you later killed that 8.3 guy and his entire family.
- 33:57Well, they had it coming.
- 33:58Yes.
- 33:58No, no, that didn't happen.
- 34:00Oh, sorry.
- 34:01Because I fell on my back and I broke my rib.
- 34:06And by rib, you mean that bone in your chest?
- 34:13Kind of.
- 34:14Oh, okay.
- 34:15Isn't the rib in the chest?
- 34:17yes yeah go on oh well whatever science is stupid anyway so um anyway so i had to i like
- 34:25walked my quad because i couldn't ride it anymore because i just was like woozy probably concussed
- 34:30and i went up and we were leaving that day and i had to go up and be like dad i hurt myself
- 34:36and he was like and then your dad was selling a house at the time and and he was like hey you
- 34:44you sir that's looking at this house uh i've gotta take my boy to the hospital so you better
- 34:50buy this house real quick or your opportunities missed and then the guy was like oh okay okay
- 34:55and then he wrote you a check for the house immediately and then your dad got the great
- 34:59idea because it sold so fast to constantly be breaking your ribs right before selling a house
- 35:04and that's how you became the number one realtors in rocky point i just want to say that out of
- 35:10everything you've said, this actually is the closest to what could have happened.
- 35:15That's very Dennis coded.
- 35:18But no.
- 35:19Oh, sorry.
- 35:20He didn't believe me and thought I was lying to get out of helping pack.
- 35:24So he made me, and there was no elevator.
- 35:25So he made me like go up and down and like help bring things to the car.
- 35:29And I was like, I thought I was going to die.
- 35:30It was a horrible time.
- 35:33But then later as an adult,
- 35:34you realize that that's what taught you discipline and hard work as a child.
- 35:37And so you thank your dad for that ever since.
- 35:40And sometimes you wish you could just break your rib again just to get things done?
- 35:47Just to make him proud?
- 35:50I have not made that connection yet, so I'm going to have to say no.
- 35:54Oh, sorry.
- 35:55Go on.
- 35:56But on the way home, this is really interesting.
- 36:00You stopped at a carnival and you bit off a clown's toe?
- 36:10No.
- 36:12Oh, sorry.
- 36:13Go on.
- 36:14It's okay.
- 36:16The line to get to the border was very long, and we didn't want to wait in it.
- 36:21So you lived in Mexico?
- 36:24You just stayed there?
- 36:26Until they came out with Dash Pass for crossing the border.
- 36:31Yeah.
- 36:32It's a fast pass like you get at Disneyland.
- 36:35You just have to pay $50 extra.
- 36:37Is that real?
- 36:38No.
- 36:39No.
- 36:39No.
- 36:40Okay.
- 36:40that's a great idea they gotta pitch that um hello mexico if you're listening and we know you are
- 36:47sorry go on it's okay i was just gonna say that he's bribed a like um uh lady of the night it's
- 36:56not a bribe that's paying for services but no oh sorry no what's it called i keep wanting to say
- 37:00armageddon but that's not it um ambulance he bribed an ambulance to like go through town with
- 37:06the lights on and so we were like following them and then we like cut we're trying to cut into
- 37:11traffic near the border and there was nobody wanted to listen rightfully so right but then
- 37:17that same lizard that was eating mac and cheese was there in his little tiny lizard car and he was
- 37:23he saw you and he remembered how good your mac and cheese was so he was just like francis this way
- 37:28and then he let you cut in front of him even though the people behind yelled um and they were
- 37:34really upset uh that he let you cut but he but then the lizards screamed back you have no idea
- 37:40how good this mac and cheese was you'd let him in too no lizards don't talk oh sorry go on it's okay
- 37:48and then um this i got out of the car and i was like pre-teen but i was like i'm gonna get out of
- 37:55the car i was like don't get out of the car like i'm getting out of the car and i stood in front
- 37:59of this other car and i was like hmm i put my hands up like you stop and i was like and then
- 38:02all these people got out of the car to like come and like
- 38:05you know. Give you a hug
- 38:07and say little boy
- 38:09we'll fix your rib.
- 38:16Yeah. That's how
- 38:17I remember it. Ended with a hug.
- 38:20Oh.
- 38:22Good. I knew it. Yeah.
- 38:25Yeah. I like how they knew my rib was
- 38:27broken. It's like protruding
- 38:29through my. Little boy
- 38:31can we give you a hug near the border?
- 38:35That sounds
- 38:36that sounds wrong.
- 38:39A hug near the border?
- 38:41Sounds like a euphemism for something.
- 38:43Yeah.
- 38:45Anyway, what do you think?
- 38:49I think that was a good story.
- 38:52And I think
- 38:53I had a feeling.
- 38:54You think that that's the best story that's ever been told
- 38:57and it should
- 38:59win a Pulitzer?
- 39:01Um, no.
- 39:02Oh, sorry.
- 39:03Go on.
- 39:05Uh, I know.
- 39:06I think that was a good story.
- 39:07And I kind of had a feeling the whole time that there's no point to being alive and everything
- 39:12is a cosmic joke.
- 39:13And one day we're going to wake up in a alien laboratory and they're going to be laughing
- 39:17and pointing.
- 39:18Uh, no.
- 39:19Okay.
- 39:21Should I go on?
- 39:24Yes, please.
- 39:25Yeah.
- 39:25Um, and I do think we should go to Rocky point and investigate.
- 39:30because I guarantee you there's a statue of you there.
- 39:33Holding...
- 39:34Holding a smaller child.
- 39:35Also named Francis, but it's not me.
- 39:38But it's Francis with an E.
- 39:39So it's a little girl.
- 39:40Yeah, a little girl.
- 39:41Who came to Rocky Point by way of Guatemala
- 39:43and whose parents invented railroad tracks
- 39:48and somehow they're still alive.
- 39:51Yep.
- 39:52No, actually, she came from a small little town
- 39:55on the border of Bolivia and Peru,
- 39:58which is where Lake Titicaca is located, in case anyone was wondering.
- 40:03And they're delicious water.
- 40:05That anyone can drink.
- 40:08And it makes creamy mac and cheese.
- 40:11Approved by lizards.
- 40:12Yep.
- 40:13And rumor has it they put one clown toe in each batch of mac and cheese,
- 40:19and if you find it...
- 40:21You get the prize.
- 40:26Yeah.
- 40:27And the prize is?
- 40:29Hepatitis B.
- 40:31Yeah.
- 40:32Yeah.
- 40:33Hepatitis C for clown?
- 40:35No, that's...
- 40:37We can't just change how disease works.
- 40:40This is a hepatitis B infection if I ever saw one.
- 40:46Well, that was a really good story that I knew the whole time exactly where it was going.
- 40:52Because you read my journal when I was 15?
- 40:54and in the journal you wrote dear jenna in the future this is for you it's not a true story but
- 41:06it's it's one it's a tale that will be woven in time xoxo francis p.s hug me near the border
- 41:17sincerely rib boy and that's why people still call you rib boy to this day
- 41:24PPS. I'm trying out this new thing with spam.
- 41:28I hope it goes well.
- 41:32PPPS. Great cans.
- 41:37All right. Well, that wraps up.
- 41:40Very successful.
- 41:42Psychic bosom.
- 41:47Things are about to get bosomy.
- 41:52Okay.
- 41:54It's time to move on to our final segment.
- 41:58And Francis, I have just agonized over this.
- 42:03Oh, good.
- 42:05I like you and agony.
- 42:07But I think we got to do it.
- 42:09We got to do the final segment.
- 42:12The big question.
- 42:14The question is very big.
- 42:18I would like to say I agonized over what the big question would be, but I didn't.
- 42:23So I hope you did.
- 42:24nope oh i was like i was just being i was being folksy about whether or not i'd say
- 42:31that's are we gonna do that big question
- 42:34anyway i was just just funning just having some fun just goofing just goofing off
- 42:46My baby's a big goof.
- 42:50Goof soup.
- 42:52Okay, I'll ask her.
- 42:54I'm goofy.
- 42:56What?
- 42:58I can ask a question.
- 42:59Okay, great. That would be great. Thank you.
- 43:02Okay, here's the question.
- 43:04Okay.
- 43:07Loading, buffering.
- 43:10Here it is.
- 43:12The question is...
- 43:14Very big.
- 43:16you know how you know how there's honey i shrunk the kids yeah i do know that if you got shrunk
- 43:25um what would you like what would you do like if you were in like a shrunken world
- 43:32i guess you were shrunken in the world if you were shrunken in the world
- 43:38like like what would your game plan be uh well okay the first thing i'm thinking about
- 43:46is
- 43:51transportation would be incredibly difficult.
- 43:54You'd not be able to cover a lot of ground, right?
- 43:57So
- 43:58do I need to
- 44:01have a way to quickly get
- 44:03to and fro places?
- 44:08So we're just talking
- 44:09strict survival, not like if
- 44:11what fun things would you do?
- 44:13Well, this is
- 44:14your life.
- 44:16You can give me a little bit of both.
- 44:18Okay.
- 44:19What's the point of surviving if you also aren't having fun?
- 44:22Yeah, survive and thrive.
- 44:24Okay.
- 44:25Can I also be 30 and flirty?
- 44:28Okay.
- 44:32Okay.
- 44:34What?
- 44:36I would find a way to get myself to a mall.
- 44:46I think.
- 44:48I'd have to practice being able to jump from, like, one person to the next.
- 44:53Because I think a mall has a lot of people going a lot of different directions.
- 44:55Plus, there's a lot of stuff in there.
- 44:57So it'd be, like, a lot of stuff to do and probably a lot of ways, like, you know, there's food in there and stuff to sustain me.
- 45:04But I would make sure that I got really good at jumping from one person to another.
- 45:08So, like, I'd hang on to, like, one person's, like, bag or, like, purse or whatever.
- 45:11and then as they're walking by
- 45:14and then it'd be like,
- 45:15oh, shoot, I need steak and shake.
- 45:19And then I'd jump to the person that's...
- 45:21And then I'd jump to the person
- 45:23that's headed towards the steak.
- 45:24I feel like that would be a good...
- 45:26Because you would need to be able...
- 45:28You need to be able to hitch your giddy up
- 45:30to a lot of different people.
- 45:34So.
- 45:36So that would be my game plan.
- 45:40And I think also you, for fun, for funsies, I think for fun, I think being able to, if people don't know you're there and then like you hide out and then you can just like listen to people's conversations and stuff and see what they do.
- 46:03I feel like that would really hurt your ears because the sound waves would be like.
- 46:07I'm assuming the sound is
- 46:09close to the same
- 46:12you could play little mall pranks like you probably turn
- 46:14lights on and off randomly
- 46:15and just picturing me on like a giant light switch just come on get down get down yeah um yeah that would be fun make people think they haunted i would probably do that how would you get around the fear
- 46:31because you're now in a world where a daddy long legs is like now a monster to you
- 46:37Oh, true.
- 46:39Here's the thing, though.
- 46:41When those, when you're right up next to, like, a Daddy Longwigs or something like that,
- 46:50you just be like, bro, I'm just like you.
- 46:54We're both, like, being afraid of being squished.
- 46:58It's like, let's not, what are we fighting each other for?
- 47:01Fight the big guys.
- 47:03They're the ones that are after us, right?
- 47:05And then I would be kind of like a folk leader amongst all creatures and anything squishable.
- 47:15I won't tell them that in my big size I would squish them.
- 47:20Actually, I don't really squish spiders.
- 47:23I like spiders.
- 47:24Yeah, me too.
- 47:25They kill other things that I don't like.
- 47:29But here's my thing.
- 47:30You might be saying all this, but they don't really speak English.
- 47:33So I would think what you could do.
- 47:36I'm very expressive, though.
- 47:38Oh, so you're a little.
- 47:39Yeah.
- 47:40So they'll be able.
- 47:41So I'll speak English.
- 47:44Eventually, they'll learn their language.
- 47:45They probably do speak it.
- 47:46We just can't hear it.
- 47:47Oh, yeah.
- 47:48Because that's a good point.
- 47:49Yeah.
- 47:49They listen to us yap all the time.
- 47:51There's no way they didn't pick up a little English here and there.
- 47:53Yeah.
- 47:54They teach it in spider school.
- 47:56It's an elective.
- 47:58But.
- 47:58Only in the private ones, though.
- 48:00Yeah.
- 48:00Well, spiders are notoriously rich.
- 48:03Yeah.
- 48:03With eyes.
- 48:05And spider public education funding is awful.
- 48:09That's why they don't teach a second language.
- 48:11Spider public school.
- 48:12They don't need it.
- 48:13They work.
- 48:15They're learning trades.
- 48:17Spider trades.
- 48:20Web building, etc.
- 48:23Can you imagine diving into a cake?
- 48:28It's like you can swim and eat.
- 48:32what if you drown
- 48:33in the cake?
- 48:35yeah
- 48:35tempt me with a good time
- 48:36yeah
- 48:38what if you get stuck?
- 48:39stuck in the cake?
- 48:40yeah
- 48:40you get stuck in the frosting?
- 48:44just keep eating
- 48:45um
- 48:46you'd be the world's
- 48:49tiniest
- 48:50stripper that comes out of a cake
- 48:52oh
- 48:53it's me
- 48:55and then you're like eating
- 48:56who wants to hug me
- 49:00near the border?
- 49:02I'd hold on to someone's tooth.
- 49:05Because you can, no matter what you do, you cannot go into the stomach.
- 49:08You will be...
- 49:09Oh, yeah, that's instant death.
- 49:11Yeah, that's acid fat.
- 49:12Yeah.
- 49:12So you gotta, like, hold on to the uvula or something.
- 49:17Yeah.
- 49:19You're just clinging to that thing.
- 49:20Ha!
- 49:22Ha!
- 49:22Ha!
- 49:22Ha!
- 49:23Ha!
- 49:23Ha!
- 49:23Ha!
- 49:24Ha!
- 49:24Ha!
- 49:24Ha!
- 49:24Ha!
- 49:25Ha!
- 49:25Ha!
- 49:26Ha!
- 49:26Ha!
- 49:26Ha!
- 49:26Ha!
- 49:26Ha!
- 49:28Ha!
- 49:28Ha!
- 49:28Ha!
- 49:29Ha!
- 49:29Ha!
- 49:30Ha!
- 49:30Ha!
- 49:30Ha!
- 49:30Ha!
- 49:30Ha!
- 49:32Okay.
- 49:33What would you do?
- 49:35I feel like I would immediately be thrust into a world of fear.
- 49:39And I need to know I can survive.
- 49:41So I would get...
- 49:44What's that stuff called?
- 49:46Diatonaceous Earth?
- 49:47You know what I'm talking about?
- 49:49No.
- 49:50Okay.
- 49:50Wait, what is it?
- 49:52I don't want to pronounce it wrong again, but Diatonaceous Earth?
- 49:55it it's safe for humans but it's like jagged for like insects so like if like a if like a scorpion
- 50:04walked across like a bunch of it it would like rip up their exoskeleton oh so i would need to
- 50:11like get some of that so that if i like came across like insect predators i could like
- 50:16throw it at them or like put a circle or like roll around in it like you go ahead and take a
- 50:23bite but guess what emmer effort it's gonna burn on the way down emmer effort so moth er
- 50:32effort okay sorry it's okay so you're you're trusting the insect's ability to know that it's
- 50:41diatonaceous earth since as you just told jenna earlier they don't speak english they understand
- 50:48when I'm when I'm Francis is also very expressive yeah when I'm posturing angrily it's not they're
- 50:55not gonna be like oh I better approach this guy looks welcoming but if it's coming at me like oh
- 51:00a meal I'm gonna eat this guy I'm gonna be like you're about to get this shit in your your eye
- 51:04you have a real bad time okay I want to know though assuming see like in my world I'm just
- 51:14assuming the threats are not really threats I'm not too worried about it threats are not threats
- 51:17What are you doing for fun, Francis?
- 51:21Oh.
- 51:22Once you, the fear levels, and you're now a tiny little man.
- 51:30Teeny little super guy.
- 51:31Teeny tiny little man.
- 51:32Okay, let's assume you're right.
- 51:33There's no threats.
- 51:34Yeah.
- 51:34I want to know what the fun side of this.
- 51:37I think it would be so cute to climb a tree.
- 51:40Especially like a ficus tree, because it's all tropical.
- 51:43I feel like I was in Fern Gully.
- 51:44You know, so I had like, me and the tree.
- 51:47you could grab onto a balloon
- 51:51and float away
- 51:54and just like an ant
- 51:56say the balloon pops
- 51:57and you're thousands of feet in the air
- 51:58you'll probably survive if you fall
- 52:00due to your size
- 52:01so I would do a lot of
- 52:05I don't think that's right
- 52:06yeah ants survive
- 52:07you could drop an ant off a building
- 52:09and it would be fine
- 52:09like your aunt Tina
- 52:15thanks for volunteering auntie
- 52:19she is not okay um yeah so i would i want to do a lot of like daredevil type stuff
- 52:27and um you know they have a lot of toys children's toys that you could use to like
- 52:32do things like get in like a pool but now you're like in a little children's ball so
- 52:38the barbie malibu house yeah you got i could live in a mansion aka barbie malibu
- 52:44I feel like I would eat a lot of
- 52:47I would jump onto a lot of food
- 52:49It's like how funny
- 52:50This hamburger is now like humongous
- 52:54I'm climbing it and I'm eating my way to the middle
- 52:56Really a metaphor for corporate America today
- 53:02Ain't that the damn truth
- 53:04Ain't that the DT
- 53:05Slimfast if you're listening
- 53:08And we know you are
- 53:10This is another option
- 53:11Just make the people tiny
- 53:13Yeah, have you thought about that?
- 53:14Yeah, you idiots.
- 53:16Think about it.
- 53:16Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 53:16Hey, that's my future employer we're talking about.
- 53:18They like a little tough love.
- 53:20We have a playful relationship.
- 53:22Yeah.
- 53:23You should see how I talk to Donald.
- 53:25I call him brain slim.
- 53:26Donald aluminum.
- 53:27Oh, Donald is such a masochist.
- 53:30He just takes it.
- 53:32Donald.
- 53:34Donald.
- 53:37Okay, so you do daredevil stuff.
- 53:40I don't know if that's correct, that you wouldn't die if you jumped from...
- 53:43Like a balloon that was...
- 53:44Yeah, check it out.
- 53:47Look it up.
- 53:47Okay.
- 53:48An ant can survive a fall like that.
- 53:49But there might be something about the way the ant's body is composed that...
- 53:54I don't think it's because it's so small.
- 53:57Maybe.
- 53:58I can't propose to know everything.
- 54:00I'm just a simple commercial writer slash spokesperson.
- 54:05I would like to walk on a pie.
- 54:11I feel like that would be fun.
- 54:13Or like walk on Jell-O.
- 54:18You could do Jell-O Angels.
- 54:21Yeah.
- 54:23And then you would start a...
- 54:26What's the thing?
- 54:28Like an urban legend or whatever?
- 54:31You know when people see the Virgin Mary in a waffle?
- 54:34And then they photograph it and it's on the news?
- 54:36Yeah.
- 54:37It's like, oh my god, I was having breakfast and look!
- 54:40Jell-O Angels!
- 54:43So in this scenario, people don't know that we're tiny or that it's even possible?
- 54:51Yeah.
- 54:52Okay.
- 54:52They don't know.
- 54:53We're secret tinies?
- 54:54Secret tinies.
- 54:55Okay.
- 54:58Actually, Francis, you've been vindicated.
- 55:00And this kind of makes sense now that I'm reading the description.
- 55:03But yeah, most insects can survive very high falls due to their low mass.
- 55:08That's because they have low mass, which means that they accelerate less.
- 55:13so the actual impact damage is much so the wind is slowing us down a lot because we're so tiny
- 55:18exactly yes like you're more kind of like slowly floating now it seems fun to jump yeah sure i'd
- 55:26jump too i'd jump today well that that also makes it a lot easier in my scenario i won't
- 55:33be worried about i could jump and and miss people too i don't have to worry about being really good
- 55:39that landing.
- 55:40Yeah.
- 55:40And you could climb up anyone
- 55:41on their shoelace.
- 55:42Yeah.
- 55:43And you could climb their leg hair.
- 55:46Oh, yeah.
- 55:47To get to their fanny packs.
- 55:50These are some gross people.
- 55:52They're just men
- 55:53who wear fanny packs.
- 55:55They're just men.
- 55:59Okay.
- 56:00Well, it seems like
- 56:01we'd have some fun.
- 56:02Yeah.
- 56:04Listeners,
- 56:04tell us what you'd do
- 56:06if you were teeny tiny,
- 56:08If you were a secret tiny.
- 56:11If you were a little bit of secret.
- 56:12I'm done.
- 56:13Yeah.
- 56:15Yeah.
- 56:17If you were a secret tiny, Francis, you never would have broken your rib.
- 56:22That's true.
- 56:23Yeah.
- 56:24That would have been the cutest little ATV you ever did see.
- 56:28Yeah.
- 56:29Tell us, listeners, tell us what you would do if you were a secret tiny.
- 56:33Anywhere on social media, at Very Fine Friends.
- 56:37I wonder if you could ride a bullet.
- 56:38ooh but would you want to
- 56:41not if it was going into
- 56:43somewhere oh actually wherever you stopped
- 56:45you're done never mind
- 56:47I just thought like wow if you gotta be on top and then like
- 56:49you know
- 56:50yeah
- 56:51but maybe that idea sucks
- 56:55speaking of
- 56:57bullets
- 56:58okay
- 57:00alright well that wraps up the big question
- 57:03the big question
- 57:04alright
- 57:05Well, we only have one final bit of business.
- 57:10Francis.
- 57:11Yep.
- 57:13Do you have guesses?
- 57:15I have guesses.
- 57:16It happened one time.
- 57:17I panicked.
- 57:19Okay.
- 57:21Is your word density?
- 57:23No.
- 57:25I don't even remember when I said that.
- 57:28Okay.
- 57:29Is your word train robbery?
- 57:36No.
- 57:37Is it robbery?
- 57:39No.
- 57:40Is it meth?
- 57:41No.
- 57:43I legitimately was thinking of Breaking Bad and you with this little kid wandering the desert.
- 57:48Is it titty caca?
- 57:50No.
- 57:51I legitimately wanted to say that.
- 57:53I have a word that I think is your decoy word.
- 57:56I'm just going to have to say it.
- 57:58Well, you can say that if you're declaring that you're guessing the decoy word, you can say that.
- 58:04But it's a real word.
- 58:05You don't get credited.
- 58:06Shit.
- 58:07Well, I think it's your decoy word.
- 58:09I wrote down agonized.
- 58:12That is my decoy word.
- 58:14Yes.
- 58:15I feel like Francis should get a point for guessing that it was your decoy word.
- 58:18Well, yeah.
- 58:19My favorite part of our podcast is how we look at all the rules of the secret word and how
- 58:26they evolve over time.
- 58:27Yeah.
- 58:28And how our webmaster has to constantly be changing the table.
- 58:32because if you go to verifiedfriends.com
- 58:34you can see the points totals
- 58:36and Francis is winning
- 58:38you can see how we got the points too
- 58:40episode by episode
- 58:41it's quite stimulating
- 58:43our rules are both rigid and arbitrary at the same time
- 58:47soft and hard
- 58:47um
- 58:50well no my
- 58:53my secret word
- 58:55do you want me to tell you
- 58:56oh yes of course I need to know
- 58:58festivals
- 58:59that was my secret word
- 59:01that's a good word I'm writing it down now why
- 59:04I can't wait to guess this
- 59:07alright
- 59:09dang you guessed my decoy word
- 59:11that's only one point
- 59:14though not like two points
- 59:15if you guessed the secret word that's two points
- 59:16guessing the decoy word is one point
- 59:19putting you further ahead
- 59:20now shoot I was not thinking about potential decoy words
- 59:23did you say decoy words?
- 59:25I did
- 59:25um
- 59:28All right, well, I have some guesses for your word.
- 59:34Okay.
- 59:37Capsules?
- 59:39No.
- 59:41Slufos?
- 59:43Donald Aluminum?
- 59:47Uvula.
- 59:48No.
- 59:50That's a good word, though.
- 59:55Diatonaceous Earth?
- 59:58No.
- 1:00:01Those were my guesses.
- 1:00:03Okay.
- 1:00:03And I don't have a guess for your decoy.
- 1:00:06Okay.
- 1:00:06When did you say it?
- 1:00:08Toward the beginning.
- 1:00:09And I said my decoy word twice.
- 1:00:12So, the word that I had, my secret word, was anecdotes.
- 1:00:20Anecdotes.
- 1:00:21Yeah.
- 1:00:22You said it real fast in the perfect context.
- 1:00:26Yeah, I did.
- 1:00:26those are my anecdotes about spam and slim fast yeah wow yeah and my decoy word was bestseller
- 1:00:35i said we're gonna we're gonna make slim fast a bestseller again wow
- 1:00:41man you got him in early well then i said it again because i was like early and often i want
- 1:00:47to bait her with my decoy word that didn't work it did not work i was i thought uvula was gonna be
- 1:00:55I was
- 1:00:57I'm disappointed
- 1:00:59it's okay
- 1:00:59that's a good guess
- 1:01:00thank you
- 1:01:01you want to do an evil laugh together?
- 1:01:03sure
- 1:01:03what?
- 1:01:11all right
- 1:01:12Francis once again
- 1:01:14is adding to his point total
- 1:01:16and I'm just left here
- 1:01:19hmm
- 1:01:19you sounded like a text message just now
- 1:01:22hmm
- 1:01:23yeah
- 1:01:23like when your phone's already open
- 1:01:25it's not like a full alert
- 1:01:27it's that like
- 1:01:28there it is
- 1:01:30alright well I think that does it
- 1:01:33for this episode
- 1:01:34bye
