- 0:01Speaker 1: Eight points.
- 0:03Speaker 2: This is my favorite news of twenty twenty six, and
- 0:07Speaker 2: initially we thought it was going to be good news
- 0:09Speaker 2: for twenty twenty seven, but we're actually going to get
- 0:13Speaker 2: the Harry Potter series for HBO Max Christmas of this year.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Here's the trailer.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I told you you are a normal boy, and you're
- 0:23Speaker 2: going to start a team like one. You think it
- 0:26Speaker 2: was something special.
- 0:28Speaker 4: There is nothing special about you. I've always wanted to
- 0:36Speaker 4: know about my parents.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Your parents for the kindest, bravest people I ever met.
- 0:42Speaker 1: They were funny and clever, and they stood up for
- 0:47Speaker 1: what they believe was right. And the next time I
- 0:52Speaker 1: see you will be in Howkwarts.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Since you sent me a frailer yesterday, I have watched
- 1:02Speaker 2: it I don't even know how many times, and now
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'm only listening to part of it and it makes
- 1:07Speaker 2: me cry every time.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I'm so excited to go back to Hogwarts. This is
- 1:12Speaker 3: very embarrassing.
- 1:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:15Speaker 2: It speaks to the fact that I'm a Hufflepuff. Okay,
- 1:18Speaker 2: we are softies, Gabe, You're a Slytherin. So this didn't
- 1:21Speaker 2: even affect you. No, I know you're really excited. You're
- 1:25Speaker 2: really excited.
- 1:26Speaker 5: I could not be more thrilled. The second I saw
- 1:29Speaker 5: this trailer. I remember going to Harry Potter movies for
- 1:33Speaker 5: my friend's birthdays growing up. I was instantly eleven years
- 1:37Speaker 5: old again and jumped into the world of Harry Potter.
- 1:40Speaker 5: If you don't know this about me, I fall asleep
- 1:43Speaker 5: to a Harry Potter book basically every single night. I mean,
- 1:45Speaker 5: I don't remember the last time I didn't. I love it,
- 1:48Speaker 5: probably in second grade. It's been so long. I love
- 1:52Speaker 5: this so much. And I will say, Angie said the
- 1:55Speaker 5: best news of the year. That's very true because I
- 1:58Speaker 5: told you that I was going to be a father,
- 1:59Speaker 5: and so you get a pass there.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 6: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 2:12Speaker 6: big ninety eight point step.
- 2:14Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this dealing in a
- 2:16Speaker 4: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 2:19Speaker 6: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one two,
- 2:23Speaker 6: eight oh one, ninety eight seven kids.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I also needed to win that day. And Angie, do
- 2:29Speaker 4: you have a little victory for us today?
- 2:30Speaker 3: I do so.
- 2:31Speaker 2: The other day I said, how Liam, my little one
- 2:36Speaker 2: just cleaned the downstairs after I asked him one time,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and he didn't complain.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Excellent.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Yesterday, my older kid, Aiden took it upon himself to
- 2:48Speaker 2: clean the downstairs bathroom.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I have to ask him to do it. He came
- 2:53Speaker 3: up to me and said, hey, what do I used.
- 2:54Speaker 4: To clean the bathroom? I'm going to clean it. It's disgusting. Correct,
- 2:58Speaker 4: it was disgusting.
- 2:59Speaker 2: But normally I would be the one who'd be like,
- 3:01Speaker 2: a fine time to finally clean this thing.
- 3:05Speaker 4: But he took it upon himself.
- 3:06Speaker 3: So that's very exciting.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And I just feel like my boys are becoming responsible
- 3:10Speaker 2: young men.
- 3:12Speaker 4: And that is quite the victory. That is wonderful. I'm
- 3:15Speaker 4: so happy for you.
- 3:16Speaker 5: That'll you know, I remember being eight, I remember being fifteen.
- 3:19Speaker 5: That responsibility will last about three minutes. And but do
- 3:22Speaker 5: you just take what I can get? Game exactly? You'd
- 3:25Speaker 5: be happy with what you have.
- 3:27Speaker 2: That's why it's a little victory.
- 3:29Speaker 3: What about you game?
- 3:30Speaker 4: What's yours?
- 3:31Speaker 5: My little victory? Well, I have two, one of them
- 3:33Speaker 5: a massive victory. But we've mentioned it before, but getting
- 3:38Speaker 5: to kind of do a little trip down memory lane
- 3:40Speaker 5: and go back to Hogwarts. Yesterday, when HBO dropped the
- 3:43Speaker 5: trailer for the Harry Potter Show, Oh, yes, I have
- 3:45Speaker 5: not been more excited for a TV show, maybe since
- 3:49Speaker 5: you know, the Game of Thrones be at its height.
- 3:51Speaker 4: One hundred percent.
- 3:52Speaker 5: I love, love, love Harry Potter and grew up with
- 3:56Speaker 5: Harry Potter, and I am so excited for that show
- 3:59Speaker 5: to show some of the things that they maybe couldn't
- 4:02Speaker 5: get to or thought weren't as important or not vital
- 4:04Speaker 5: to the story. I'm so excited for people to get
- 4:07Speaker 5: a little more book in their Harry Potter life with
- 4:10Speaker 5: the TV show. My other little victory, though, is yesterday
- 4:13Speaker 5: my wife went on a walk with us, so I
- 4:16Speaker 5: meet talking like my dog. But ye one Ona and I,
- 4:18Speaker 5: which is always just kind of sweet. You know, when
- 4:20Speaker 5: you're five five ish months pregnant going on a walk,
- 4:24Speaker 5: you know it can be tiring and can.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, lot of work. But she was like, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 4: let's just go.
- 4:30Speaker 5: It was nice out, you know, so it's easy to
- 4:32Speaker 5: just kind of do a short, short, little walk. I
- 4:34Speaker 5: have these kind of two routes I take and when
- 4:37Speaker 5: it's either really cold or my pregnant wife is with us,
- 4:40Speaker 5: I call you, let's just do the pregnancy loop, yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 5: as opposed to kind of the longer one than I
- 4:45Speaker 5: might do, and I'm kind of doing it solo. But
- 4:47Speaker 5: it was a nice little family fifteen thirty minute walk
- 4:51Speaker 5: yesterday for us. Do you ladies have the same etiquette
- 4:57Speaker 5: rules as guys do when we use the bathroom? And
- 5:02Speaker 5: here's the example I'll give you. This happened to me
- 5:04Speaker 5: recently here at work.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Also like a public restroom.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, yeah, not obviously not at your house. In
- 5:10Speaker 4: a public restroom.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Okay, you're out with all the girls and you know,
- 5:14Speaker 5: the eight girls go to the bathroom together and take
- 5:16Speaker 5: the selfie in the mirror.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Yes, you know it so well.
- 5:20Speaker 5: So I got done using the bathroom yesterday and I'm
- 5:23Speaker 5: washing my hands and someone comes into the bathroom to
- 5:27Speaker 5: obviously use it, right, And it's one thing if someone's
- 5:30Speaker 5: going up to the bathroom and they hit it with
- 5:32Speaker 5: like a little one liner and you kind of both
- 5:34Speaker 5: just keep it pushing. Yeah, but this person ended up
- 5:37Speaker 5: going to the bathroom and kind of giving me a
- 5:39Speaker 5: full on story to where I sort of had to
- 5:42Speaker 5: stand in there and kind of watch them as you know,
- 5:47Speaker 5: I'm trying to stare not at the next point to
- 5:50Speaker 5: the bathroom, I just kind of stared in the mirror
- 5:53Speaker 5: because I didn't want to be rude and just be like, hey,
- 5:56Speaker 5: I'll to hear the story later or just walk out. Yeah,
- 5:59Speaker 5: so I really had to stand there. And you know,
- 6:01Speaker 5: when dudes go to the bathroom, we have just.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Keep washing your hands for the minutes.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Yeah, And you know this guy, this guy's you know,
- 6:11Speaker 5: he's standing up using the bathroom and I'm just kind
- 6:13Speaker 5: of awkwardly sort of standing behind him. And I don't
- 6:16Speaker 5: know if that's really quite my style, you know, I'm
- 6:20Speaker 5: kind of I'm kind of when I go to the bathroom, right,
- 6:22Speaker 5: I kind of go in there, you know, you might
- 6:24Speaker 5: hit hit a dude like hey, what up and then
- 6:26Speaker 5: kind of keep it going they and then leave and
- 6:28Speaker 5: then have your conversation.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Do girls do this when you go to the bathroom?
- 6:32Speaker 4: Do you just sit there and like chit chat?
- 6:35Speaker 3: You know what?
- 6:36Speaker 4: I think the difference.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I'm not gonna speak for all ladies because maybe someone's
- 6:40Speaker 2: gonna listen and.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Say, oh, you're girls.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I think the difference is that when regardless of whatever
- 6:47Speaker 2: we have to do in the restroom, we are in
- 6:49Speaker 2: a stall.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Yes, we are in a stall.
- 6:52Speaker 2: There's more in privacy. We're in a stall for whatever
- 6:55Speaker 2: situation is happening. I think with guys, the fact that
- 6:58Speaker 2: you're out in.
- 6:58Speaker 4: The open, yeah, for one of.
- 7:01Speaker 2: The things that I think makes it more uncomfortable. But
- 7:04Speaker 2: I've definitely had a conversation with another girl, like if
- 7:09Speaker 2: we're in the stalls next to each other, just chit
- 7:11Speaker 2: chat and just yeah, chit chat.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I feel like that's not weird, but maybe I am weird.
- 7:17Speaker 2: So you tell me seven on one to eight one
- 7:19Speaker 2: nine eight seven the situation you were in absolutely not.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I Also, it is weird if you're in the stall
- 7:26Speaker 2: and the person is washing their hands, I don't start
- 7:30Speaker 2: conversation then because at any point they could just leave
- 7:33Speaker 2: and I'm in the stall by myself talking, talking away
- 7:35Speaker 2: and I don't know that they lack.
- 7:37Speaker 3: That's embarrassing.
- 7:38Speaker 2: But if we're both in the stall and we're friends
- 7:40Speaker 2: and we know each other, that feels more normal to me.
- 7:43Speaker 4: But any other situation null.
- 7:46Speaker 5: Yeah, And it's kind of the same thing for guys.
- 7:48Speaker 5: You know, you kind of go in there, do what
- 7:50Speaker 5: you gotta do, and then maybe you're chit chat and
- 7:52Speaker 5: as you're washing your hands or something.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Yeah, but mid bathroom use.
- 7:56Speaker 3: That is yeah, good. I like that.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Am if you're a dude in your listening to this,
- 8:02Speaker 4: Do you.
- 8:03Speaker 5: Care or do you have full blown like, oh yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 5: I got my taxes prepped blah blah blah. You're down
- 8:07Speaker 5: in the bathroom seven oh one two eight zero one
- 8:10Speaker 5: nine eight seven. Do we have this right or wrong?
- 8:13Speaker 5: Here on the Big ninety eight point seven morning show?
- 8:15Speaker 5: Because I was, I left and I was almost like
- 8:18Speaker 5: in shock. Wow, I just learned a whole lot about
- 8:21Speaker 5: this gentleman. As ye peek, it was pretty interesting.
- 8:26Speaker 3: This girl is off fire.
- 8:30Speaker 4: That's right.
- 8:30Speaker 5: You are on fire today. Okay, no matter who you are,
- 8:33Speaker 5: you're looking great. You got it pop in this morning.
- 8:36Speaker 5: But I want to know what happens if you put
- 8:38Speaker 5: in a little more effort than normal and someone wants
- 8:40Speaker 5: to be like, oh you look nice.
- 8:42Speaker 2: This was beautiful to witness, because yes, you're in my head.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I know, poor thing yesterday wearing Gabe's office, which I
- 8:50Speaker 2: have also decided is my office, so I don't like
- 8:53Speaker 2: being alone.
- 8:53Speaker 4: So I'm aways in your.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Office and our friend Corey who's over on Bob, Yes,
- 8:58Speaker 2: she was passing by and your door was open, and
- 9:02Speaker 2: you saw her and you noticed that she looked a
- 9:04Speaker 2: little bit different than normal because she had the lashes going.
- 9:07Speaker 2: She had a little bit more makeup than normal, and
- 9:10Speaker 2: you know it's a lip gloss or something.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she was looking good and so you noticed?
- 9:17Speaker 2: And what did you say to her?
- 9:18Speaker 5: I was like, oh hey, instant pause, I went, oh gosh,
- 9:21Speaker 5: how do I do this?
- 9:23Speaker 4: How do I navigate this?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Oh? Hey, you look different today? And I didn't mean
- 9:30Speaker 5: it like that, obviously, but I was like, no, you
- 9:32Speaker 5: just look nice. Do you have something you gotta go do?
- 9:34Speaker 5: Or what's what's going on? And Angie watched basically as
- 9:37Speaker 5: I sat there and sweating, just bullets, because when that happens,
- 9:43Speaker 5: you're always worried about.
- 9:44Speaker 4: The Oh what are you saying? I looked like garbage
- 9:47Speaker 4: every other day?
- 9:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 9:48Speaker 5: Whatever, Yeah, And so I want to know us dudes.
- 9:51Speaker 5: I'm gonna speak for the guys today. Okay, what's the
- 9:53Speaker 5: proper way to be like, Oh, hey, I think you
- 9:56Speaker 5: look very nice today. I noticed you did a little
- 9:59Speaker 5: something this morn. Yeah, you took an extra minute or
- 10:01Speaker 5: two or whatever. Yeah, And I recognize that.
- 10:04Speaker 2: What I love is that Corey obviously, she and Battie,
- 10:07Speaker 2: and she's not someone who's.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Like, oh wetness.
- 10:10Speaker 2: She took the compliments, she said, just say that who cares?
- 10:13Speaker 2: I took the A compliment's a compliment. A win is
- 10:15Speaker 2: a win. But it is interesting to see the gears
- 10:20Speaker 2: work in your head, Like how do I phrase this
- 10:22Speaker 2: without being a fence?
- 10:23Speaker 5: Because I try in this building when anybody, if they
- 10:27Speaker 5: change their hair or if they have something different or whatever,
- 10:30Speaker 5: I try so hard to acknowledge that because there are
- 10:33Speaker 5: a lot of ladies who work in here, yes, and
- 10:35Speaker 5: I try so hard to be the one guy in.
- 10:37Speaker 4: This building that would maybe notice. And so you are
- 10:41Speaker 4: really good at that.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Whenever, because my hair goes from curly to straight in
- 10:48Speaker 2: that south rally from Mowana or to like that sad
- 10:53Speaker 2: bun where it's like I thought I had one more
- 10:55Speaker 2: day of dry shampoo usage and I don't. But whenever
- 10:58Speaker 2: my hair changes and it looks good, you do. You
- 11:00Speaker 2: always mention it, and it's very nice. I will say that.
- 11:04Speaker 2: You don't ever have to worry about me, thinking like, oh,
- 11:06Speaker 2: so what do you mean I look bad every other day?
- 11:08Speaker 2: Because I know I look better for you.
- 11:11Speaker 3: You don't have to worry with me.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Yeah, Well, if you're riding in your car today or
- 11:15Speaker 5: you're I don't know on the worker at work already. Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 5: and you wake up and you put in, you know,
- 11:21Speaker 5: just a couple of extra minutes to do a little something.
- 11:23Speaker 5: It doesn't have to be something major, a little something,
- 11:25Speaker 5: and someone notices, what is the best way for them
- 11:28Speaker 5: to go about being like, oh, hey, I'm acknowledging the
- 11:31Speaker 5: effort you put in this morning, because that's really what
- 11:33Speaker 5: I'm trying to do.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.
- 11:34Speaker 2: As long as you never go up to any of
- 11:37Speaker 2: us ladies in the office and say you look tired today,
- 11:40Speaker 2: I think you're good.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I'll keep it at that.
- 11:42Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, seven oh one two eight zero one
- 11:44Speaker 5: nine eight seven. If you happen to be a lady
- 11:46Speaker 5: who put in a couple extra minutes today doing you know,
- 11:49Speaker 5: a little more makeup than normal, or maybe a little
- 11:51Speaker 5: less makeup than normal, and you think it looks great,
- 11:53Speaker 5: and someone acknowledges it, what's the best way to go
- 11:55Speaker 5: about that so I can share it with the fellow
- 11:58Speaker 5: dudes here this morning on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 12:02Speaker 6: In the world of Rules in Gray Areas, one morning
- 12:04Speaker 6: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Is it illegal for a child to wear that much makeup?
- 12:09Speaker 4: Is it legal?
- 12:11Speaker 7: I understand, I understand it's funny as all can get out,
- 12:13Speaker 7: but is.
- 12:14Speaker 6: It even legal? On Big ninety eight point seven?
- 12:18Speaker 4: All right, quick question.
- 12:19Speaker 5: Have you ever been on a nice walk on a
- 12:20Speaker 5: beautiful day here in the FM area, Everything's going great
- 12:24Speaker 5: and then bam you step You scared me, You step
- 12:28Speaker 5: in something that ruins your entire week. You know exactly
- 12:32Speaker 5: what I'm talking about. And here's the thing. If you
- 12:33Speaker 5: are a dog owner, North Dakota has a pretty simple rule.
- 12:37Speaker 5: If your dog leaves a little gift in a public place,
- 12:40Speaker 5: you've got to pick it up. There's no pretending you
- 12:42Speaker 5: didn't see it. You can't slowly walk away and be like, oh,
- 12:45Speaker 5: that's not my dog, because if you don't, you can
- 12:47Speaker 5: actually get fined real money for something that your dog did.
- 12:52Speaker 5: And meanwhile, you're the one who has to pay for it,
- 12:55Speaker 5: and you probably have to apologize to your neighbors while
- 12:58Speaker 5: they do that awkward shoe scrape on the curb. Okay,
- 13:00Speaker 5: so do yourself a favor, and literally everyone else.
- 13:04Speaker 4: On earth a favor.
- 13:05Speaker 5: Bring a bag, handle the situation, and move on with
- 13:08Speaker 5: your day. It's quick, it's easy, and it's a whole
- 13:11Speaker 5: lot cheaper than having to explain to your old bank
- 13:14Speaker 5: account why you got to pay said fine.
- 13:17Speaker 4: And the reason we brought this up.
- 13:18Speaker 5: We talked a little bit about this yesterday, but the
- 13:20Speaker 5: reason we brought this up is there is someone who
- 13:23Speaker 5: messaged us on Big ninety eight point seven yesterday named Casey,
- 13:26Speaker 5: who was like, Hey, I really appreciate you making the
- 13:29Speaker 5: announcement about picking up after dogs at parks. It's pretty
- 13:32Speaker 5: insane bringing my kids to the park and having to
- 13:35Speaker 5: avoid dog waste, and so it's kind of crazy that
- 13:38Speaker 5: it is an issue. There's nothing I hate more than
- 13:40Speaker 5: when I'm taking my dog for a walk and I
- 13:43Speaker 5: have to avoid dog waste around parks and stuff, and
- 13:47Speaker 5: I have a dog.
- 13:49Speaker 4: You know it's gross. So just pick it up.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Snitches get stitches, So call me Frankenstein and give me
- 13:55Speaker 2: all the stitches because.
- 13:56Speaker 3: I will rat you out if I watch you just
- 14:00Speaker 3: leave it. I'm gonna call the cop.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Angie's telling Yeah, I discovered a new strain of RBF.
- 14:09Speaker 2: So there's RBF resting B word face and this news strain,
- 14:15Speaker 2: I think.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Is arguably worse.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I was watching someone's Instagram live and they were interviewing
- 14:21Speaker 2: someone and the person they were interviewing was like giving
- 14:25Speaker 2: them the information whatever, and the girl her face was
- 14:31Speaker 2: giving resting I d g a F, which is I
- 14:35Speaker 2: don't give up. She yeah, I don't give up face,
- 14:42Speaker 2: And it was so uncomfortable, and I was thinking, like,
- 14:46Speaker 2: are other people watching this live and thinking the same thing.
- 14:48Speaker 2: You're interviewing this person. She's telling you all about whatever
- 14:51Speaker 2: the thing is, and this one interviewing her just looked
- 14:56Speaker 2: like I don't care at all.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm only here be yes.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It was so uncomfortable to watch. But if I had
- 15:04Speaker 2: to guess, I don't.
- 15:04Speaker 4: Think she realizes that.
- 15:06Speaker 2: I don't think she realizes that she has resting I
- 15:09Speaker 2: don't give up face. But now I'm thinking, do I
- 15:13Speaker 2: have that face? Because you never tell someone.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Right, I think there's probably a context clues throughout your day,
- 15:20Speaker 5: you know, if you're talking to someone, yeah, you have
- 15:23Speaker 5: to maybe snap to get their attention back, you know
- 15:26Speaker 5: what I mean, Yeah, when they're kind of and there's
- 15:28Speaker 5: a difference between zoning out and not caring that part.
- 15:31Speaker 2: So if you're zoning out, that just makes me think
- 15:34Speaker 2: you got a lot going on. But this face of like, oh,
- 15:38Speaker 2: nothing you're saying is interesting to me.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Cool.
- 15:42Speaker 3: It's so cruel and it's so uncomfortable.
- 15:45Speaker 2: So now I feel like I'm gonna be hyper aware
- 15:47Speaker 2: of what my face is doing. But for the most part, though,
- 15:49Speaker 2: I don't talk to people who uninterested.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Me, so.
- 15:53Speaker 3: I think, okay, wow, jeepers, I like that.
- 15:57Speaker 5: I think today is a perfect time to do some
- 15:59Speaker 5: independent research here on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Which would you rather have or which would you rather
- 16:05Speaker 4: not have?
- 16:05Speaker 5: I guess if you had to choose, would you rather
- 16:08Speaker 5: have resting B word face or resting id GAF? I
- 16:16Speaker 5: don't give up face if you had to pick one,
- 16:19Speaker 5: let us know this morning here on Big ninety eight
- 16:21Speaker 5: point seven, which is worse with the Harry Potter HBO
- 16:31Speaker 5: trailer being released yesterday and that essentially taking over my
- 16:34Speaker 5: entire algorithm on social media game. I have been a
- 16:38Speaker 5: fan of Harry Potter since I was about eleven years old.
- 16:40Speaker 5: I remember reading those books and being about the same
- 16:43Speaker 5: age as the characters, and when I saw the trailer,
- 16:46Speaker 5: I instantly had to send it to Angie and it
- 16:48Speaker 5: was just kind of nice to take a little trip
- 16:50Speaker 5: down memory lane. One of the sad facts of getting
- 16:52Speaker 5: older is very rarely do you kind of get to
- 16:56Speaker 5: go back and just be eleven. You know, yeah, not rarely,
- 16:59Speaker 5: but it doesn't happen and as often as it should.
- 17:01Speaker 4: I'll put it that way.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Because as you get older, sometimes you got to put
- 17:03Speaker 5: on your big boy pants, put on your big girl
- 17:05Speaker 5: pants and handle some business.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Yeah I don't like that.
- 17:08Speaker 5: And to take our trip down memory lane, we wanted
- 17:11Speaker 5: to know this morning, what is something that you loved
- 17:14Speaker 5: as a kid that you still love to this day.
- 17:17Speaker 5: And Michelle comes out with a banger right off the bat.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Here she said, a big bowl of sugary cereal like
- 17:23Speaker 5: fruity pebbles, apple jacks or Lucky charm.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, none of that adult cereal like grape nuts. No, no, no,
- 17:30Speaker 2: we want the fruity sugarpe yeah, or cheerios they're good
- 17:35Speaker 2: for your heart, but I do love them.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Honey nuts hereals those are credible, Angie.
- 17:38Speaker 5: What's something as a kid that you loved that you
- 17:40Speaker 5: know what, at your mid thirties that you still love?
- 17:45Speaker 2: Okay, fine, I'll why did you have to say?
- 17:48Speaker 4: Like whatever?
- 17:49Speaker 2: My favorite thing as a kid, my favorite game as
- 17:51Speaker 2: a kid is still a game I like to play
- 17:53Speaker 2: to this day, and that is.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Hide and Seek.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I love playing hide.
- 17:59Speaker 2: And seek, and my kids love me for hide and
- 18:02Speaker 2: seek is so fun. And I don't care how old
- 18:05Speaker 2: you are, it's fun to try and hide from someone.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I love that.
- 18:09Speaker 5: Usually you'll find Angie hiding in the cupboard, reading her
- 18:12Speaker 5: phone or her book while snacking on some things, playing
- 18:15Speaker 5: hide and seek with the kiddos.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Do you have a camera set up in my house
- 18:18Speaker 3: or what is it?
- 18:19Speaker 2: We do get a text from Jane and she said,
- 18:22Speaker 2: I still like to watch.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Leave It to Beaver. Oh that's actually pretty adorable.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 5: One of my couple of favorite things I still love
- 18:29Speaker 5: as an adult that I loved as a kid.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Riding my bike. You know, I was joking about the
- 18:34Speaker 4: bike community and going sledding.
- 18:36Speaker 5: I still think it's fun to hop on yeah, you know,
- 18:39Speaker 5: a thing, a cardboard or a sled or whatever, and
- 18:42Speaker 5: just trying to go down this hill as fast as
- 18:44Speaker 5: you can getting back up. I'm not nearly as quick
- 18:46Speaker 5: as younger, but I still love, you know, a good
- 18:50Speaker 5: day of just sledding and having some winter fun here.
- 18:53Speaker 4: And we do have Renee on the phone. Renee, what
- 18:55Speaker 4: about you dancing? I'm not good, I'm not trained.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Nothing fancy, but it's music comes on.
- 19:01Speaker 6: I am a movie.
- 19:02Speaker 4: Same as when I was five in my living room,
- 19:04Speaker 4: putting on performances for absolutely no one. That's beautiful.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I love that, and that's part of the reason that
- 19:09Speaker 2: we have karaoke, I think, so you can dance and
- 19:12Speaker 2: sing the way you did in your living room as
- 19:13Speaker 2: a child.
- 19:14Speaker 5: That's right, Lisa, she said, swinging on a swing set.
- 19:18Speaker 5: And there is kind of something relaxing almost about when
- 19:22Speaker 5: you jump on a swing as an adult. And we're
- 19:24Speaker 5: gonna find out potentially how you could get a swing
- 19:26Speaker 5: in your backyard very soon. Here on Big ninety eight
- 19:28Speaker 5: point seven, Jen has said Disney, Harry Potter, etc. So
- 19:32Speaker 5: it's nice to know that Jen is probably excited for
- 19:35Speaker 5: this HBO Harry Potter series. And then finally, Brianna, she
- 19:39Speaker 5: has one that I know my wife and a lot
- 19:42Speaker 5: of my friends and fellow adults would agree with naps.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, No, I love them now.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Hated them as a kid.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Yeah, when I was a kid, I was the kid
- 19:52Speaker 5: that was impossible to get to go to sleep.
- 19:54Speaker 4: You know.
- 19:55Speaker 5: My mom would try to send me to bed at
- 19:56Speaker 5: eight and I think she just gave up by the
- 19:58Speaker 5: time I was in like second grade to figure it out.
- 20:01Speaker 4: He's just gonna be tired. I guess tomorrow.
- 20:08Speaker 3: March Dadness is still underway.
- 20:11Speaker 2: We are in search of Big ninety eight point seven's
- 20:14Speaker 2: big Daddy because Gabe won't officially become a father until
- 20:18Speaker 2: the summer. So Big ninety eight point seven needs a
- 20:22Speaker 2: big Daddy. Why because we just want that?
- 20:25Speaker 4: So do we just want that? Angie? I just want that.
- 20:31Speaker 2: So the first round of voting is over and so
- 20:36Speaker 2: the second round of voting for the left hand side
- 20:39Speaker 2: of the bracket will be up by noon. All of
- 20:42Speaker 2: this takes place on the Big ninety eight point seven Instagram,
- 20:45Speaker 2: So if you're not following us, go do that at
- 20:49Speaker 2: Big nine eight seven FM on Instagram. And by noon
- 20:53Speaker 2: today I will have all of the matchups for you
- 20:56Speaker 2: for the left side of the bracket. It's the second round,
- 21:00Speaker 2: so we're gonna have Philip Vandall versus Jamie Midlighter. Also,
- 21:05Speaker 2: if I mess up any of these pronunciations, I am sorry.
- 21:08Speaker 2: We've got Brad. We were given no last name for Brad.
- 21:11Speaker 2: We've got Brad versus Scott Nelson. We've got Micah Holmgren
- 21:16Speaker 2: versus Joshua Richards, Corey Skaldum versus Randy Harwood, Jeremy pet
- 21:22Speaker 2: Scott versus Justin Meyer, and Jordan Ouster Miller versus Cody Lean.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Those are your matchups.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yes, those are the matchups for the second round of
- 21:33Speaker 2: March Dadness. This is the left side of the bracket
- 21:36Speaker 2: and by noon today on Big ninety eight point Seven's
- 21:39Speaker 2: instagram at Big nine eight seven FM, we will have
- 21:43Speaker 2: them up for your voting pleasure.
- 21:45Speaker 5: And I have to give a big shout out to
- 21:47Speaker 5: everyone who has nominated the dad or daddy in their life.
- 21:52Speaker 4: I think this is so cool and so fun.
- 21:54Speaker 5: It's just some silly bit that Angie wanted to try,
- 21:57Speaker 5: and it has had such an awesome response of people
- 22:00Speaker 5: who are interested in following. Yes, you know, it's not
- 22:03Speaker 5: like we're giving away some big prize.
- 22:04Speaker 4: We're really just gonna call you the what are we.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Gonna We're gonna crown you the big Daddy, Big ninety
- 22:10Speaker 2: eight point seven one of these days, I'm gonna get
- 22:12Speaker 2: you to say it.
- 22:13Speaker 5: I can't say it as good as you. You know,
- 22:14Speaker 5: you put a little duck sauce on there. But just
- 22:17Speaker 5: a shout out to everyone who's participated. It's so fun
- 22:19Speaker 5: to watch it. It's just kind of something fun to do.
- 22:21Speaker 2: So everybody's March Madness bracket bind busted, So let's do
- 22:25Speaker 2: this one instead.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 22:36Speaker 6: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 22:40Speaker 5: Students at Fargo South High School they held their annual
- 22:44Speaker 5: cardboard boat Regatta, combining a physics lesson with a fun competition.
- 22:50Speaker 5: Physics students, they spend two months building cardboard boats and
- 22:54Speaker 5: then they raced them across the school pool while competing
- 22:57Speaker 5: for awards like fastest time, Team Spirit, and the most
- 23:01Speaker 5: spectacular wipeout the event. It helps demonstrate academics principle in
- 23:07Speaker 5: a hands on way.
- 23:09Speaker 7: Oh students, they come in and they think of oh
- 23:11Speaker 7: my god, I'm taking physics right, and this is a
- 23:13Speaker 7: way to show people that this is physics, Like every
- 23:16Speaker 7: day is physics, and so how your boat works is physics,
- 23:20Speaker 7: and so come and take the class.
- 23:21Speaker 5: I remember mister Crabtree, who I do flannel Fridays with.
- 23:24Speaker 5: I believe still to this day. I don't know if
- 23:26Speaker 5: he's still doing them or not, but he had a
- 23:28Speaker 5: quote in his science class. You know, science is everything. Yeah,
- 23:32Speaker 5: this is just physics is kind of everything, and I
- 23:34Speaker 5: think it's really cool to find a way to make
- 23:37Speaker 5: this maybe less intimidating or maybe more fun or something
- 23:40Speaker 5: along those lines. A horror theme boat took first place
- 23:43Speaker 5: and set a record time, followed by a taco bell
- 23:47Speaker 5: themed boat in second, and then Edmund Fitzgerald inspired design
- 23:52Speaker 5: in third.
- 23:52Speaker 4: Kids are the most creative people on Earth. I live
- 23:56Speaker 4: for kids creativity.
- 23:57Speaker 5: It's so wonderful. Don't forget hey bro looking crayons. They
- 24:00Speaker 5: still color. And the world is full of nice people.
- 24:03Speaker 5: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
