- 0:25Sean McAllister: All this and more coming up right now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:29Sean McAllister: Vegas Revealed, presented by Galindo Law, starts now.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed.
- 0:36Dayna Roselli: It's Dana Roselli along with Sean McAllister, and we are sitting at episode 276.
- 0:43Dayna Roselli: Sean and I back from a few days out of town getting adjusted.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: Uh when we're recording this podcast, or the weather's been beautiful.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna get hot by the time this drops, but it's a nice little June break, I feel like.
- 0:56Sean McAllister: Well, it's like just one of those little dips where it puts us back down into the like high 80s, 90s, and it's the absolute perfect temperature to be outside in Las Vegas.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 1:09Dayna Roselli: It's been nice.
- 1:10Dayna Roselli: We had the um brand new baseball stadium that's coming our way on the Las Vegas trip.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: We had the groundbreaking ceremony, and you and I were saying it was very early in the morning, but usually in the like like the the middle of the summer, you wake up at whatever, even if it is 6 a.m., it's still like 90 a.m.
- 1:28Sean McAllister: 90 plus, yeah.
- 1:30Dayna Roselli: But it was so nice to have that groundbreaking ceremony with it being in the 80s.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: Well, it was not only in the 80s, but it was inside a tent with air conditioning.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: Oh, that was beautiful.
- 1:40Sean McAllister: I was a little worried we were gonna get out there on that dirt construction site, and there was gonna be, you know, dust flying around.
- 1:46Sean McAllister: We're gonna be all sweaty and then just look like big mud monsters afterwards.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was careful with what shoes I wore, all that, because I thought, okay, I might have to like wash these off, put them in the, you know, no.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: You know, I wore gray and white and an ace hat to this, and then I realized that I matched Stomper, the mascot.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: Because it's an elephant with gray, gray fur.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: He was wearing uh the ace hat and a white jersey.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: And so I was looking back at the picture I took with him, and I was like, I literally look like Stomper.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 2:23Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna show it to you.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: Minus the yellow hair.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: Minus the yellow hair.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: We didn't realize.
- 2:27Dayna Roselli: First of all, I didn't even know Stomper existed.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: I love Stomper.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: You were saying the same thing.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: What a character, literally, um, he is.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: He is a great mascot.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: He was roaming around shaking hands before we got on the bus in the shuttle, and I called his name because I wanted a picture.
- 2:44Sean McAllister: Well, it's not even like you called his name.
- 2:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's not like you yelled across the room like, hey, Stomper.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: Right.
- 2:50Sean McAllister: You you just kind of like mentioned his name.
- 2:52Sean McAllister: You were like, Oh, it's just Stomper.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: Or didn't even say, should I take a picture with Stomper?
- 2:56Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: And he like turned right around.
- 2:59Sean McAllister: I was like, My gosh, that Stomper has bionic hearing.
- 3:03Dayna Roselli: No, he paused, put his hand to his ear.
- 3:05Sean McAllister: To his ear, to his big elephant ear.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: And then turned around slowly.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: But yeah, see, see this picture?
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: I look like like I've got gray.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: Oh, you and I look like an elephant.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: Literally, because I just got back from a week of eating and drinking.
- 3:18Sean McAllister: No, stop it.
- 3:21Sean McAllister: Your outfits matched.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: Well, that's all over the place.
- 3:25Dayna Roselli: Anyway, let's get to the groundbreaking.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: Got a couple other things to talk about as well.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: But, you know, since we started talking about it, um, we might as well just get into it.
- 3:33Dayna Roselli: First of all, we put something up on TikTok and everyone's fighting back and forth as usual.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: And uh I chimed in to some of the comments, but it's hard.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: You know, there are people who still don't believe it's gonna happen.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: They don't believe we're getting a baseball stadium on the strip.
- 3:47Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, even looking at this elaborate groundbreaking ceremony that we had, I don't really guys say, listen, this is this is what we know.
- 3:56Dayna Roselli: We talked to the president, he said I wouldn't be here if we weren't, you know, building a stadium and the channel.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: The president of the A's.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: The president of the A's.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: We're sitting there, the governor's speaking, our congresswoman, Dina Titus.
- 4:07Dayna Roselli: I'm looking at all the faces and officials, and I'm going, okay, well, I mean, would everyone put their face to this if it wasn't gonna happen?
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: But I know there's a lot more to it when it comes to money and all that, and always anything can happen.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: However, I do feel like Vegas knows how to get creative, and if they really want something, if this city really wants it, they'll find a way to make it work.
- 4:26Sean McAllister: They'll find a way to make it work and they'll find a way to make it work really well.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:31Sean McAllister: And uh whether it's uh, you know, something that we may not stick to the original plan, but uh we pivot really well here in Las Vegas to make sure that things do end up working out in the long run.
- 4:47Sean McAllister: So with that said, there was a ceremonial groundbreaking over over there at the site of the new A's baseball stadium.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: It's also the former site of the Tropicana hotel and casino, which was imploded uh several, several months ago.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: It's now that site is now cleared in a big lot.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: Um, but we did.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: At this groundbreaking, we pulled aside the owner of A's baseball, John Fisher, and talked to him about what it means to hit this milestone and what we can expect in the months and years to come.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: What are the the feelings, emotions that you that you have going on?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, you know, these projects take so much longer than you think they're gonna take, right?
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: You just think I can snap my fingers, the stadium will be designed, we'll have everybody hired, it'll be financed, we can start construction.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: But the reality is these things take an awful long time.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: There's gonna be a ton of people, you know, hugely important people who are involved in that.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Local people within the A's um uh organization as well.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: And so to see all of that, you know, all come together and not to be where we are groundbreaking with our stadium being built and opening in 2020 is you know trying to come true for me.
- 6:05Sean McAllister: So I think all eyes are going to be on this construction side as it progresses and rises up out of the ground, but uh aside from obviously the entertainment aspect of having a major league sports team here, what else does Major League Baseball bring to a community like Las Vegas?
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: You know, I mean baseball is uh is this an incredible game, right?
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: Because we play 162 games.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, 81 of them are happy.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: So that's double.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Um you actually look at it.
- 7:40Sean McAllister: How about price point?
- 7:41Sean McAllister: Is this going to be an affordable option for for locals here to come out and support the team?
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: And um, we're gonna have a mix of different price points.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, we we we hope that, you know, everybody, families, etc.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: will be able to come in a kill and enjoy again.
- 8:07Sean McAllister: And what will this stadium have that no other stadium in Major League Baseball has?
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: Um if you turn behind, you know, I don't want to take my eye off of you right now.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: But um you actually can see this in in the background.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: I mean we're gonna have the largest um cable.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: And we have these other clear story windows from a full temperature on temperatures and funny.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Um here in Las Vegas for the 2010.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: It's gonna feel it's gonna feel like you're outside.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: And um, you know, the window is something that is too in sports.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And um, and we think that everybody in the stadium, the cameras are gonna be looking out at Vegas every time they see a five.
- 9:01Sean McAllister: And I've already tried the popcorn that you have here today.
- 9:04Sean McAllister: Is is this the recipe that's gonna be served on game day?
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: You know, that is a really good question.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: And and I'm not accustomed to saying I don't know.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: But I'll start with the popcorn.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: But if you like it, we'll make it happen.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Let's keep it.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: It's a good recipe.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: All right, thanks.
- 9:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that was the first time I've ever had popcorn at 8:30 a.m., but I loved it.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: Wasn't it so good?
- 9:25Sean McAllister: I had, I was like, okay, if we're talking to John Fisher, I need to ask him about this popcorn recipe because it was just so good and buttery, but not like greasy.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: The hard-hitting questions.
- 9:37Sean McAllister: The hard-hitting questions.
- 9:38Dayna Roselli: Everyone's wondering if the stadium's gonna, you know, definitely get built.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: We're like, hey, how's the popcorn?
- 9:42Sean McAllister: Listen, we were in a room full of sports reporters, and not a single other person, I don't think, asked about the popcorn.
- 9:47Dayna Roselli: But some good questions that you did ask.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: I actually learned a lot by uh I was filming that interview for our TV show.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: You were doing the the questions, and I thought, okay, uh, you know, it was good to hear from him one-on-one.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: We've never, we've interviewed him with a bunch of other people, but we've never had him one-on-one to be able to answer some of the questions about the hopes for this adventure that's coming to Las Vegas of a baseball major league baseball team coming here, it a stadium that's gonna sit on the strip, a state-of-the-art stadium, you know, which is always cool, and uh d all the things that could be coming our way.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: So I liked hearing his take.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: And I know there are a lot of opinions out there, but I always like to kind of make my own assessment, and I felt like it gave me a good uh indicator.
- 10:34Sean McAllister: Yeah, I'm fingers crossed because it I I think it will be a good thing for our city to have a professional baseball team here, to have another facility that can host uh concerts and events.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: You know, there it's a multi-purpose facility, it's not just baseball that we're building this stadium for.
- 10:54Sean McAllister: So I I I I like to always cheer for things to uh go ahead and be successful.
- 11:01Sean McAllister: So that's I I think we both have that my mentality.
- 11:05Sean McAllister: So that's what we're gonna do here too.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I think a lot of people are looking at like, well, the athletics have had such a you know rocky history and this and that.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: But one thing I did pick up on, and I think it was John Fisher when he was at the podium, uh, he was talking about how they've hired who they, you know, a bunch of brought on a bunch of players that they think are young and have like big major potential.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: So I'm wondering if they're like, okay, you know, let's look four years ahead and not quite concentrate on the now.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: And there is a vision when they sit down at the table of life and they see a world series in their eyes, absolutely, you know, all this stuff.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: So it's like, I don't know, maybe, maybe there's well, I mean, there's definitely a plan.
- 11:46Sean McAllister: There is a plan.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: There's definitely a plan.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: Um, we had a lot of fun.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: It was great to run into a lot of people, and Vegas, when we have events, no matter what, they are just top of the line.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: And I think we didn't expect that.
- 11:59Dayna Roselli: Like you mentioned, we thought we were getting on this little shuttle bus and go into a dirt lot.
- 12:03Sean McAllister: And no, we got into a we got onto a bus that's like if you're going on a giant tour of the Grand Canyon or like a bus trip across the country, it was like a it was a big bus.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: It wasn't just a shut an airport shuttle.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: No, it was not.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: And we we even got a little encased baseball with the A's logo on it and some dirt from the actual site in there.
- 12:28Sean McAllister: So I wonder whose job that was.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: I know.
- 12:30Sean McAllister: To pack up the baseballs with the dirt from the old Tropicana site.
- 12:35Sean McAllister: I know.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: What a great event.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: Great interview with John.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: We also interviewed one of the builders.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: We'll have that coming up.
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Interesting take on um just what they're what that stadium is going to be like.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: Like we keep saying state of the art.
- 12:47Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: Oh, by the way, someone on TikTok did say, like, I can't wait for all those games uh in the 100 degree heat, you know, and all this.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: And I was like, well, the stadium is not open air.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: No, it's closed, there'll be air conditioning, there will be a glass, well, I think like half of it, glass dome where you'll be able to see the strip.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: And well, more details on that to come with the interview with the builder, but FYI, don't worry, it's not outside.
- 13:14Sean McAllister: No, you're not gonna sit there, be sweaty and burned.
- 13:18Sean McAllister: No, but they they did think ahead and plan for the Las Vegas summer.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: Hey, last week we did uh episode, we we hit the booze district in uh Henderson, and then we also talked a little bit about Vegas influencers and we interviewed Vegas Starfish.
- 13:32Dayna Roselli: We did get a uh viewer uh fan mail comment, which was nice, said they love the show from Salt Lake City.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: So hey, Salt Lake City, Utah.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: Uh, thanks for writing in.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, said they they have an open mind about influencers.
- 13:45Dayna Roselli: Specifically, they were talking about Vegas Starfish.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: They like a lot of her content, but some of the things that they don't like.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: So we appreciate everyone sharing your thoughts.
- 13:52Dayna Roselli: That's what we hope that you will do with us constantly.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: We like to read feedback and know your take, and we like for you to participate.
- 13:59Sean McAllister: And to give us that feedback, just click on that link down in our show notes and you can send us a text message with your thoughts, ideas, comments, feedback.
- 14:09Sean McAllister: Um, and if you wanna uh include your first name when you sign off, that's always great because we don't get any other information than what you provide in your text message.
- 14:19Sean McAllister: So we do like to know uh who our messages are coming from.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: Right, exactly.
- 14:25Dayna Roselli: Hey, we have a lot of Las Vegas deals happening, and we're gonna get to that in our tips.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: But first we want to let people know about what is happening on Fourth of July.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: It may seem like it's a long ways away, but it's not.
- 14:34Dayna Roselli: It's like what?
- 14:35Dayna Roselli: We got we got right around the corner.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: Or a week.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: Well, after this drops, like a week.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: We're already there.
- 14:40Sean McAllister: It'll be one week away.
- 14:41Sean McAllister: The countdown's on.
- 14:42Dayna Roselli: You gotta plan because there are there are a lot of things going on.
- 14:45Dayna Roselli: So you want to do like a quick rundown of everything happening.
- 14:47Dayna Roselli: We know we have a lot of locals that listen, a lot of people that come in.
- 14:50Dayna Roselli: Maybe you're thinking about driving in from California or something.
- 14:53Dayna Roselli: Um, a lot going on as usual.
- 14:55Dayna Roselli: Fourth of July is great here in Las Vegas.
- 14:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, uh starting at the M Resort, which is on South Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: If you're driving in from Southern California, it's one of the first things that you see coming into the Las Vegas Valley.
- 15:10Sean McAllister: They're doing the Red, White, and Boots celebration over there at M Resort.
- 15:16Sean McAllister: Uh it's a 15-minute firework display that's gonna start at 9 p.m.
- 15:22Sean McAllister: They have uh VIP area where you can watch.
- 15:26Sean McAllister: Um there's reserve reserved pool areas starting at like 35 bucks.
- 15:32Sean McAllister: Um they're gonna have a bunch of stuff going on over there at M Resort.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: And then there's the free public viewing.
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: You'd find a spot and you know, it's up in the air.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: And a lot of the fireworks displays as we uh run through this actually are happening at nine.
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna see fireworks all over the valley, which is kind of cool.
- 15:46Dayna Roselli: I like when it's all at once at the same time.
- 15:48Sean McAllister: Both big displays and the illegal personal displays that we see popping off.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 15:56Dayna Roselli: Those are always a pain, especially for folks that have pets.
- 15:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's me.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: Like you.
- 16:00Sean McAllister: He's going to his his daycare.
- 16:02Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 16:03Sean McAllister: They put on a big party to block out the noise.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: Oh, good.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: Do they play music?
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: What do they play?
- 16:07Sean McAllister: They do.
- 16:07Sean McAllister: They play music.
- 16:08Dayna Roselli: They have what kind of music?
- 16:10Sean McAllister: Uh I don't know.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: I've never been.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 16:12Dayna Roselli: Well, I feel like we need to find out what the playlist is.
- 16:15Sean McAllister: I will.
- 16:16Sean McAllister: I will do that and report back.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Well, speaking of uh dogs, uh, weenies and bikinis is happening at Stadium Swim.
- 16:24Sean McAllister: Hot dogs.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: I love the name.
- 16:28Dayna Roselli: Circa at Stadium Swim always comes up with fun names.
- 16:32Sean McAllister: They do.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: Yes, hot dogs.
- 16:35Dayna Roselli: I'm thinking of, you know, a dog.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: Weenies and bikinis at Stadium Swim.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: Sounds like a hoot.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: Old people say.
- 16:45Dayna Roselli: Um, they're doing two things.
- 16:47Sean McAllister: A hot dog eating contest.
- 16:49Dayna Roselli: They have a hot dog eating, but they have a lot of different things.
- 16:50Sean McAllister: They have a bikini contest.
- 16:52Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 16:52Dayna Roselli: They have the the red, white, and poolside blue you're supposed to wear and strut your stuff in the latest styles of bikinis and whatever women, men, couples, a whole nine.
- 17:04Dayna Roselli: Anyway, they're doing this whole thing.
- 17:05Dayna Roselli: Then they've got the the hot dog eating contest, which is always a big deal.
- 17:10Sean McAllister: Oh, it's a five minute how many hot dogs you can eat in five minutes.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: Can you believe that?
- 17:15Sean McAllister: Oh, that just made my stomach sink.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 17:18Sean McAllister: I'm not a good, I wouldn't be a good competitor.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: Cash prizes, though.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: It's good, a good incentive.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: $2,500 for first place,$1,500 for second, and 1,000 for third.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: So not bad.
- 17:33Sean McAllister: Not bad at all.
- 17:34Dayna Roselli: Weenies and Bikinis begins at five o'clock.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: The party will continue with the fireworks display right across the street at the plaza.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: You'll be able to see it.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: General admission tickets are available for 30 bucks, and seating upgrades can be purchased as well.
- 17:48Dayna Roselli: So weenies and bikinis.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: Sorry, I went off the rails there.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: I could edit that whole site.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: Don't be sorry.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: But start over, but I don't feel like it.
- 17:57Sean McAllister: Don't be sorry.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: That was fun.
- 17:59Sean McAllister: It's not uh it's not every week you get to talk about weenies and bikinis.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: Hey, over at Rio, uh, they're also turning up their Americana spirit with their red, white, and boots.
- 18:11Sean McAllister: This is a two-day Fourth of July weekend experience.
- 18:14Sean McAllister: They're doing a night swim.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: There's rooftop viewing at the Voodoo Lounge of uh Fireworks on Saturday.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: They're also doing a country-themed tribute concert with performances uh honoring country legends like Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney.
- 18:33Sean McAllister: It's not gonna be those guys, it'll be people singing their music.
- 18:37Sean McAllister: Um, that party kicks off at 8 p.m.
- 18:40Sean McAllister: You can go to the Rios website for more information about that one.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: I mean, I like a good tribute concert.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: You just hear all the hits.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: We don't have to worry about like someone debuting new music.
- 18:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, I hate to be rude, but unless, you know, I like new music sometimes.
- 19:01Dayna Roselli: And sometimes I'm like, oh, we gotta get through the new music song.
- 19:03Sean McAllister: Until you get to the ones that you actually know the words to.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Anyway, that sounds like a lot of fun.
- 19:09Dayna Roselli: So it looks like the M and Rio both naming their Fourth of July events red, white, and boots.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 19:15Sean McAllister: Popular theme this year.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: Well, so are hot dog eating contests, because the Strat is having one as well.
- 19:21Dayna Roselli: Their first ever hot dog eating contest, in fact.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: They're hosting a 4th of July fireworks viewing party from the top of the tower.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: Can't beat that view.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: The Strat Towers indoor and outdoor observation deck party begins at five.
- 19:35Dayna Roselli: Um, it's$55 for adults and$35 for children.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: But here's the deal: here's what you get.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: You get the observation deck admission.
- 19:42Dayna Roselli: Because remember, Sean, you even went up there and you had to pay recently.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, you do.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: So that's waived and included in the ticket price.
- 19:49Dayna Roselli: You get hot dogs and chips, party favors, face painting, a live DJ, and then you get to witness the first ever hot dog eating contest.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like a good time.
- 20:00Sean McAllister: Total sidebar, but I just had friends who are uh out of state on vacation, and they went to a little local uh like fair, uh-huh, and they sent me pictures of the face painting that their kids had done, and it was the worst face painting I had ever seen in my life.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 20:19Sean McAllister: This I imagine is going to be good face painting.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: I think so.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: That is funny.
- 20:23Dayna Roselli: That's like uh like something you'd see on Pinterest.
- 20:25Sean McAllister: It was a cake painting.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: Like a cake decorating fail.
- 20:28Sean McAllister: Face paint fail.
- 20:30Sean McAllister: But I mean the kids, they don't care.
- 20:32Sean McAllister: They're just running around with this awful art on their face.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: When times get tough with Vegas revealed, we can open up uh a face painting booth.
- 20:42Sean McAllister: There we go.
- 20:42Dayna Roselli: And you know what?
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: I think we'd do a pretty good job.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: I think so.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: I think so.
- 20:47Sean McAllister: Hey, if you're down uh like center strip, Caesars Palace always does a huge firework display.
- 20:54Sean McAllister: Uh excuse me, those are being set off at 9 p.m.
- 20:58Sean McAllister: as well.
- 20:58Sean McAllister: And there are lots of different places where you can watch from.
- 21:01Sean McAllister: You can watch from the sidewalk right there on Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 21:05Sean McAllister: Also, uh a bunch of restaurants within the Caesars family are great places as well.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 21:12Dayna Roselli: Uh Caramellis Terrace at Planet Hollywood, great spot.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: Uh Giada at the Cromwell, Gordon Ramsay Burger at Flamingo.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: Uh they all have like uh food and drink packages available.
- 21:24Dayna Roselli: And actually it starts like early in the day.
- 21:26Dayna Roselli: So you can go.
- 21:27Dayna Roselli: I think it even Gordon Ramsay Burger is doing like a buffet and it's all included with the the price that you pay to get in.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: But uh check out Caesar's website.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: You do need a reservation for all of that.
- 21:38Dayna Roselli: Obviously, to stand on the sidewalk and watch, that's free.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: But if you want to go to any of these establishments, now they just sent us an update at their pool.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: They are having a viewing party as well.
- 21:49Sean McAllister: Right.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: And that's for a fee, a ticket to get in.
- 21:52Dayna Roselli: They're gonna have some roaming bites from all the different restaurants, uh, cocktails included, and stuff like that.
- 21:58Dayna Roselli: So lots of different.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: Things you can do to watch the fireworks at Caesar's Palace.
- 22:03Dayna Roselli: If you really want to be close and want a good spot, it might be worth just locking in your, you know, just locking in the ticket and going and enjoying the day and night.
- 22:11Sean McAllister: I've gone over to Caesars to watch the fireworks from the pool in the past.
- 22:16Dayna Roselli: I feel like I've seen you there.
- 22:17Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: I feel like it was like 15 years ago.
- 22:20Sean McAllister: It was a long time ago.
- 22:21Dayna Roselli: I remember this night.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: We all got invited.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: For some reason, they were doing something special.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: I can't remember.
- 22:26Sean McAllister: Remember or maybe maybe it was for the 50th anniversary of Caesars.
- 22:31Dayna Roselli: I think it was.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: I kind of remember.
- 22:33Dayna Roselli: Because Sean and I have been friends a long time, but we didn't, we were on opposite shifts.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: We didn't see each other a lot.
- 22:38Sean McAllister: No, just at a random poolside firework events.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: I remember that.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, maybe yeah, maybe like 10 years ago.
- 22:45Sean McAllister: It definitely, yeah, it was right around that.
- 22:47Sean McAllister: But it's a great location and a great vantage point to take in those fireworks.
- 22:52Sean McAllister: Um, if you're a Las Vegas local or if you're coming to town and staying off the strip, the station casino uh properties are also going to be putting on uh amazing displays as they do every year.
- 23:05Sean McAllister: They'll be setting off fireworks from Red Rock, Green Valley, and Durango.
- 23:09Sean McAllister: Each of those properties is also doing a poolside viewing party.
- 23:13Sean McAllister: Uh, you can uh get tickets at stationcasinos.com slash fireworks, and they'll have all the information there about what to expect.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they do a great display, like you said, and they do it every year, and uh that's at nine o'clock, too.
- 23:29Dayna Roselli: Everything's at nine o'clock.
- 23:30Dayna Roselli: Uh the plaza having their fireworks.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: At first they said nine o'clock, then I saw something that said nine fifteen.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: Then someone said around nine.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: So I feel like the plaza's fireworks will go off around nine.
- 23:39Sean McAllister: Be ready at nine and stay ready.
- 23:43Dayna Roselli: Right, stay ready.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: Um, they they're saying this is gonna be the biggest firework display they've ever done.
- 23:48Dayna Roselli: So that's exciting.
- 23:48Dayna Roselli: All right, because they usually have the summer Friday night fireworks anyway, and Fourth of July is on a Friday, so they gotta do something that'll make it different.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: Well, let's go big.
- 23:56Dayna Roselli: Um, also keep in mind there'll be some road closures around the plaza, so plan ahead if you want to get down there.
- 24:01Dayna Roselli: Don't think you can just whiz into your normal spot.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: You might have to do some maneuvering.
- 24:07Sean McAllister: Some maneuvering, yeah.
- 24:08Sean McAllister: Uh, in addition to fireworks, there are a lot of shows happening here in uh Las Vegas as well.
- 24:15Sean McAllister: Kelly Clarkson is going to debut her uh first residency show over at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 24:22Sean McAllister: She did a separate residency before over at Planet Hollywood, which I went and saw.
- 24:27Sean McAllister: And Kelly Clarkson is great.
- 24:29Sean McAllister: Such a fantastic live singer.
- 24:32Sean McAllister: Uh, but she is doing July 4th and 5th over at the Coliseum.
- 24:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so she'll be there both nights for the weekend.
- 24:40Dayna Roselli: That's a great time to kick off.
- 24:41Dayna Roselli: I think it's called studio session.
- 24:43Dayna Roselli: So I wonder what'll be a little bit different, maybe, than the one she did at Planet Hollywood.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 24:47Dayna Roselli: Some sort of twist to it.
- 24:49Sean McAllister: A lot of hits too, I bet.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: That'll be good.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: Um, the weekend is coming in for the weekend.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: Well, not quite the full weekend.
- 24:59Dayna Roselli: And I'm laughing, but it's not funny for those who had tickets.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: Uh, he did actually have to cancel one of the shows, and he canceled Friday, July 4th.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: So the weekend will be at Allegiance Stadium July 5th.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: Uh, that show is still going on, but um, he I think he had announced July 5th, then added July 4th.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: Now they've taken July 4th off the roster.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: But Allegiance Stadium holds a lot of people, and I see on Twitter everyone talking, a lot of people are coming in for this concert.
- 25:25Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 25:26Sean McAllister: Uh also people coming in.
- 25:29Sean McAllister: They'll be hanging tough.
- 25:30Dayna Roselli: Hanging tough.
- 25:31Sean McAllister: Over 4th of July weekend, because new kids on the block are back at Dolby Live over at Park MGM.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: They just uh recently kicked off their residency over there.
- 25:41Sean McAllister: So New Kids will be back Saturday, July 5th.
- 25:45Dayna Roselli: And it looks incredible.
- 25:46Sean McAllister: Um it really does.
- 25:48Dayna Roselli: We need to get there.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: But I was reading some of the facts, like all this, like confetti and streamers.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: They have a car rollout, a convertible, they have a train car, they rise above you in like five separate boxes.
- 26:01Dayna Roselli: Um, each each member.
- 26:03Sean McAllister: Boy band pods.
- 26:04Dayna Roselli: Yes, exactly.
- 26:06Dayna Roselli: And they float around up in the sky.
- 26:08Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: It looks incredible.
- 26:10Dayna Roselli: Um people seem to really enjoy it, and I could tell they loved doing it.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: I even saw a clip of Donnie Wahlberg, I think, shedding some tears.
- 26:19Dayna Roselli: He was so happy that they were able to do this.
- 26:22Dayna Roselli: Um, and anyway, yeah, like you mentioned, Saturday, July 5th, and then and then they return in the fall.
- 26:27Dayna Roselli: So um they'll be back.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: They must have some separate things they got going on because I feel like this is just getting started.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: Like, let's keep it going.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: But but they're taking a break and then they'll be back in the fall.
- 26:38Sean McAllister: And total sidebar, let's get through the rest of these uh performances and then let's talk about uh Jenny McCarthy.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: Let's do it.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: Okay, Chelsea Handler is uh gonna be over at the Chelsea at Cosmopolitan on Saturday, July 5th, too.
- 26:51Dayna Roselli: I know you saw her do stand-up there, and you said it was fun, right?
- 26:54Sean McAllister: So good.
- 26:55Dayna Roselli: Okay, and then Marquee Nightclub is hosting a nighttime pool party uh through the weekend.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: And here's the special one because we always talk about it.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: We just love DJ Pauly D.
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: He is doing Friday, July 4th, the nighttime pool party at Marquee.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: Cabs are here.
- 27:15Sean McAllister: I love Pauly.
- 27:16Sean McAllister: He he is just the nicest guy, always so happy and friendly.
- 27:23Sean McAllister: Pauly D is great.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: Well, now, you know, it's great when he does like nighttime pool parties because that means in the daytime you have time to go to the gym, do your laundry, and get your tan.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: And get your tan and then go.
- 27:35Sean McAllister: Get your GTL on.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 27:38Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, we're gonna talk about okay, but let's quickly, okay, so that's 4th of July.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: There, and like I Kaigo is over at Palm Tree Beach Club.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: There's so much more going on.
- 27:47Dayna Roselli: That is a full rundown for 4th of July, though.
- 27:50Dayna Roselli: A lot going on.
- 27:52Dayna Roselli: Let's quickly mention a new headliner that was just announced.
- 27:56Dayna Roselli: Dolly Parton coming to the Coliseum for NFR week, and I think it's perfect in December.
- 28:02Dayna Roselli: She's gonna do all her hits.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: Um, you had said to me on the side, you're like, I don't think she's ever really performed on the strip, at least not for a long time.
- 28:10Dayna Roselli: And I think we were reading the release, and it said, yeah, she hasn't really done like a continuous, like a consecutive day type of show for like 35 years.
- 28:19Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, last time I had tickets to see her uh down in Laughlin.
- 28:23Sean McAllister: Last time she was around these parts, um, but I couldn't go because I had a uh charity thing that I had to go to.
- 28:31Sean McAllister: Um, but she's coming back December 4th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 12th, and 13th.
- 28:36Sean McAllister: So pretty much the entire run of NFR, Dolly's gonna be headlining at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 28:44Sean McAllister: I cannot wait for this.
- 28:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and if people don't know, it's National Finals Rodeo.
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: Sometimes we do the shorts.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: And I always think like there's people around the world that might not know that.
- 28:54Dayna Roselli: So yeah, it's perfect for the rodeo.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: Like you said, it's gonna be great.
- 28:57Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's what a perfect well, we have so many country artists in town that week.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: I wonder if you know the a lot of those people will hit up Dolly one night and and be there at the Coliseum.
- 29:11Sean McAllister: There will 100% be celebrities in the crowd at her shows.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: Right.
- 29:16Sean McAllister: Whether it's other country artists or just other well-known people who just can't get enough of Dolly.
- 29:23Dayna Roselli: Can't get enough of Dolly.
- 29:24Dayna Roselli: Okay, so Dolly's coming to the Coliseum in December.
- 29:27Dayna Roselli: Excited about that.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: Um, what did you just say you were gonna mention?
- 29:30Sean McAllister: Uh Jenny McCarthy.
- 29:31Sean McAllister: So we were talking about new kids on the block, Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy are obviously they're a couple.
- 29:38Sean McAllister: And so when they came to town, Dana, you sent me this video.
- 29:43Dayna Roselli: I was like, wow, what an endorsement for Barry's Prime, which is awesome.
- 29:47Dayna Roselli: Uh, she absolutely loved Barry's Prime at Circa.
- 29:51Sean McAllister: Did this whole video about it.
- 29:54Dayna Roselli: Loved it.
- 29:54Dayna Roselli: She likes asked Donnie, like, rate the restaurant one to ten.
- 29:58Dayna Roselli: He was like four.
- 29:59Sean McAllister: 42,892.
- 30:02Dayna Roselli: She said they don't do they don't make restaurants like this anymore.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: And you know, she had a lot of good points.
- 30:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, Barry's is great.
- 30:08Dayna Roselli: There's so many restaurants in Las Vegas.
- 30:10Dayna Roselli: You and I say this all the time.
- 30:11Dayna Roselli: It's hard to even get to one of them more than once.
- 30:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:16Dayna Roselli: Uh, I love berries, been there a few times, but it reminded me that's how influencing works.
- 30:20Dayna Roselli: I'm like, I gotta get back to berries.
- 30:22Sean McAllister: I know.
- 30:22Sean McAllister: So it's been too long.
- 30:24Sean McAllister: I've not been back there in a really long time.
- 30:27Dayna Roselli: And then she was like, go up to the legacy club.
- 30:31Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 30:32Sean McAllister: But he always has had such great places.
- 30:36Dayna Roselli: Yes, it is cool.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: It's there's something about it that made you walk in there, you feel special, you feel cool.
- 30:41Dayna Roselli: It's like intimate, but like and it's like old school but new school.
- 30:45Dayna Roselli: There's a lot, they got a lot going on over there, Barry's.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 30:48Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, Jenny McCarthy did really pump it up.
- 30:51Dayna Roselli: So that was fun.
- 30:52Dayna Roselli: And along with Donnie Wahlberg, who's in town, you know, for the shows.
- 30:54Sean McAllister: We were excited to see that they were excited to have their spot here in Vegas.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: It's fun when you see like a local or like a celebrity influencing on local things for us.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: That was fun.
- 31:07Dayna Roselli: All right, well, let's do some tips now.
- 31:14Sean McAllister: All right, we're starting our tips with a restaurant that was on the strip for a long time and it just opened a new location.
- 31:22Sean McAllister: They moved to the arts district in downtown Las Vegas.
- 31:26Sean McAllister: Uh, it's Holstein's.
- 31:28Sean McAllister: Holstein's Burgers and Shakespeare.
- 31:30Sean McAllister: They were at Cosmopolitan for a long, long, long, long, long time.
- 31:34Sean McAllister: I, it's one of my personal favorites.
- 31:37Sean McAllister: I love their burgers and I love their boozy shakes.
- 31:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you you always talk about those.
- 31:41Dayna Roselli: I've never had one.
- 31:42Sean McAllister: It's like I feel like they were some of the fur they were one of the first restaurants to really have a full lineup of boozy shakes on their menu.
- 31:50unknown: Yeah.
- 31:51Sean McAllister: It's so good.
- 31:52Sean McAllister: Anyway, they are now down on South Main Street in the arts district, and they do happy hour.
- 31:59Sean McAllister: Get this every day from three to six, every weekday.
- 32:04Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 32:04Dayna Roselli: I like that because sometimes happy hours stop at five.
- 32:08Sean McAllister: This gives you a good three-hour time frame.
- 32:11Sean McAllister: It does.
- 32:11Sean McAllister: To take advantage.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 32:13Dayna Roselli: Burgers in boozy shape.
- 32:14Dayna Roselli: Burgers in boozy shapes.
- 32:15Dayna Roselli: That's so Vegas.
- 32:16Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 32:17Sean McAllister: And that's all so good.
- 32:19Dayna Roselli: There are so many summer deals.
- 32:21Dayna Roselli: We don't have time to mention them all.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: Let's just say, you know, um, I think we're all aware of, you know, people are not hopping on a plane like they used to, they're not spending money as they used to, maybe to travel as much.
- 32:34Dayna Roselli: However, some still are.
- 32:35Dayna Roselli: It's just kind of like hit or miss these days.
- 32:37Dayna Roselli: So there are a lot of deals out there to get people to come out, enjoy themselves, help you have a good time.
- 32:44Dayna Roselli: And we have a full list on our website.
- 32:46Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is specifically for Las Vegas locals to take advantage of.
- 32:51Sean McAllister: Um, and we're talking about deals of up to 25% off at not only uh resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, but in downtown Las Vegas and in Laughlin.
- 33:03Sean McAllister: Plus, there are discounts on Las Vegas attractions as well.
- 33:08Sean McAllister: So go to our website vegas-revealed.com and scroll down to the blog, and there's a full list.
- 33:18Sean McAllister: It's the list is so long, we didn't even know venture to try and run through it because it would take another half hour.
- 33:26Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 33:27Dayna Roselli: There are a lot, there are a lot, a lot, like there's even like 20% off at the sphere for Clark County residents in Nevada.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: So there's a lot going on.
- 33:33Dayna Roselli: Um, and the different resorts have packages.
- 33:35Dayna Roselli: And yeah, good point to mention it's for the locals.
- 33:37Dayna Roselli: And what I meant was people aren't really traveling here, so we want the locals, you know, as much as usual, um, possibly right now, depends on the weekend.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're they want locals to be able to not have to leave and stay cation and take advantage of all the things that Las Vegas has to offer and save you some money.
- 33:55Sean McAllister: Although I have seen that uh room rates right now on the strip are really, really good.
- 34:02Sean McAllister: So check that out.
- 34:04Sean McAllister: All right, and uh plan ahead if you don't have a uh trip planned right now.
- 34:08Dayna Roselli: I saw Resorts World did drop resort fees for everyone uh through I think mid September.
- 34:14Dayna Roselli: And then they also dropped the paid parking, I think, through the end of August or something like that.
- 34:19Dayna Roselli: For now, we'll see if they extend it.
- 34:21Dayna Roselli: But like, so some good deals there too.
- 34:23Dayna Roselli: Um gosh, deals everywhere.
- 34:25Dayna Roselli: So uh we talked about this, I think it was a couple weeks ago.
- 34:27Dayna Roselli: Like it it seems like everything's expensive, and it is.
- 34:32Dayna Roselli: Things are expensive right now for everyone, you know.
- 34:34Dayna Roselli: But if you put in the research, you can really find a way around it and to get to some good deals and to balance things out.
- 34:42Sean McAllister: So hey, maybe grab a bikini and a weenie.
- 34:46Dayna Roselli: Bikini and a weenie and go to the Fourth of July party.
- 34:50Dayna Roselli: We could go on and on.
- 34:51Dayna Roselli: We we're gonna do a whole thing on Chinatown.
- 34:54Dayna Roselli: Uh, there's a bunch of different attractions that have opened on the strip.
- 34:57Dayna Roselli: Uh one at Mandalay Bay, one at MGM Grand, but we um we'll probably save that for next week.
- 35:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, talk about reasonable prices.
- 35:04Sean McAllister: Chinatown is the place to go.
- 35:06Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 35:06Dayna Roselli: It was fantastic.
- 35:08Dayna Roselli: Hey, side note, deals, Vegas near me, the app that sponsors our podcast.
