- 0:03This is a Bramble Jam podcast. This week on your gabble gabble. Can
- 0:14you have a baby if you have a viseeconomy science? Would judgments follow us
- 0:19find out? And if you stage dive and hits something in ahead and they
- 0:23have a stroke, are you gonna dive into a pool full of guilty?
- 0:27Personal entry Gino tells us real people cases suggest as this is your gabble gable,
- 0:36Oh, cal how you do y? Hey? It's gavel Dan.
- 0:42How you doing? Pow man? I'm always better in the chambers, you
- 0:45know what I mean. I didn't even get to hear what you said.
- 0:49Tried to say and judge matthis tell us, yeah, yeah, that's my
- 0:55case is a paternity case. Who knew? I didn't. The title on
- 0:59YouTube was something like lied about having a vaseectomy. I'm like, man,
- 1:03I am in for this. Just a paternity case, pretty straightforward. Okay,
- 1:07well that sounds that sounds fun. I got a real doozy and lied
- 1:11about having of a secondom. You might think that that gives away the ending,
- 1:17you know, so there's that we'll find out. Well, now you
- 1:19have you you peaked my entry. I'd like to hear it. How do
- 1:23you spell peaked in that sentence p E wrong? Shoot, p i q
- 1:30u e D I would have that would have been fifth, sixth, seventh,
- 1:36guest, maybe I guess you're lying, you're kidding yourself. I would
- 1:40have eventually gotten to what is it, p i i q u e D.
- 1:45I would eventually have gotten to p i q really picked five? Five
- 1:49might be p i q u e. Yeah, that's peak peaked ye.
- 1:56So any other use aside from like peaked my interests or That's the main one.
- 2:00Why is why is there a special spelling of that? Why is it
- 2:04not just like a Hey, you're peaked? P E A K could mean
- 2:07this or that like in many other words. Well, the other problem is
- 2:10is that the word peak, where does it come from? What's the language
- 2:15of origin? Peaked is to peak something is to stimulate it your interest or
- 2:22curiosity. It also can mean to feel irritated or resentful, which is probably
- 2:28what happens when people tell you how to spell peak. Well, I wonder
- 2:30what the word is derived from, because I imagine that influences to spelling.
- 2:37I bet it does. This is good stuff from the listen. Since I've
- 2:39peaked your interesting, I am a bad speller, but I do thoroughly enjoy
- 2:45the spelling peak. That's good, well good, I'm glad. I'm happy
- 2:46because I do find that fascinating. But I'll never take that knowledge and do
- 2:51anything with it. Go ahead, now, okay, Judge math We've got
- 2:53Judge mass on the docket, and let me introduce you to Jared Sullivan is
- 3:00petitioning the court for a paternity test. Uh from the I guess the defendant
- 3:06on a O N N A frozen on a no different Anna claims of Aaron.
- 3:14I'm sorry, so really quick. So he is taking her to court
- 3:19to force her to get a paternity trust. She don't want to do it,
- 3:22and so he decided the best route to do this is judge Judge Mathis.
- 3:25Yes, And for the life of me, I didn't know he did.
- 3:30Like does he film the same lot as Mathis? Does not play the
- 3:36You would think matthis would love the the tests showed that that was a lie.
- 3:40He doesn't. He has the bailiff hand the results to the father or
- 3:45the not father, and all you get is the father or not father's reaction.
- 3:51I don't hate that. He just he looks at it. He goes
- 3:53okay and he has his hand that to him. Wow, that is what
- 3:58he does. Fascinating. Okay, so Jared spelled j E r A d
- 4:03E Girard. Jared, I Knowed. Yeah, I met Anna. Actually,
- 4:12I've been knowing her for a long time and I'm familiar with her,
- 4:15and our families went to church together. That is a very interesting way to
- 4:18say that you are remote, remote, romantically involved. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:21yeah, for sure. Uh in August seventeen, August, I've known biblical
- 4:27sin right, Literally, they went to church together. It was biblical.
- 4:30Uh. August twenty seventeen, he says, we got intimate with each other.
- 4:34Yeah, and two hours after that, she already started saying she's pregnant.
- 4:41Now, two two hours after that, she already started saying she's pregnant.
- 4:50That is a fantastic line. Now, as you can imagine, Judge
- 4:55Mathis has faces. He gives you one of these and he starts blinking,
- 5:01like mouth close, kind of wins and blinking, classic Mathi's face. Anna
- 5:06is like, that's not true, your honor, that's not true at all.
- 5:11And matthis was like, so she says this two hours afterwards, what'd
- 5:14you say? And then Jared gives a reference to the movie Menace to Society.
- 5:18There's a character in there. He's like, I thought I was this
- 5:20guy from Menace to Society, and I just thought it was just crazy.
- 5:27And he said, but Anna, like two three months later, she was
- 5:30still saying I'm pregnant. Turns out she was. She has the baby,
- 5:33and I've been in Anna's life. I've been in my son's life since then.
- 5:36And so this is twenty twenty one where it's happening. This is new,
- 5:40new case. So how old is a kid in this Well, I
- 5:43think he's Maybe it's not twenty twenty. They didn't say that, but they
- 5:46intimated the fact that this is COVID, that people are spread out, so
- 5:47it's at least twenty twenty, right, he said, I've been in his
- 5:51life ever since. I'm a hands on parent. I want to see my
- 5:56kids every day, my son or daughter's life to be, even if it's
- 6:00for a few hours, even if we're divorced or whatever. I want to
- 6:03see my kids every day. I went to every appointment while Anna was pregnant.
- 6:08I went to every appointment after she had the baby. The drama comes
- 6:12when we get to arguing. Whenever we start start arguing. She immediately gets
- 6:16mad at me and tells me I'm not the father. We start arguing and
- 6:21she says that that you're not the father anyway. So at this point Mathis
- 6:27gets very serious. He doesn't say anything, but the tenor changes. It
- 6:30changes from happy, I've got a tight five on minister society Mathis into a
- 6:35very serious Mathis And you're like, oh, what's going on with Judge Mathis,
- 6:39Well, we'll find out here in a second. So he continues on.
- 6:43Anna tells me I'm not the father whenever she gets mad at me.
- 6:46And then she has another male friend and they're like drinking buddies. But we've
- 6:49gotten into it a couple of times about him, and I've asked her to
- 6:53stop seeing him and she won't do it. And are they married? They're
- 6:59not married. But I've never been married, never been married. No,
- 7:01but together or were together? I guess at some point she he said one
- 7:06time she got so drunk she left her phone in his car, and he
- 7:11called me from her phone and said, this might be I don't know what
- 7:18that means, but it sounds serious. This might bee, and my bad,
- 7:24this she is my bee. Oh that's not it's not great, and
- 7:28math has said he said that to you, huh. And and this guy
- 7:32Jared says yeah. And then I told her about it, and that made
- 7:36me feel a certain type of way, like if she can't let this guy
- 7:40go, then why am I sticking around? She keeps telling me I'm not
- 7:44the father. She's hanging out with this guy. They live, I think
- 7:47at one point they did, but they don't anymore. And so finally I
- 7:51gave her an ultimatum. I said, hey, you stop hanging out with
- 7:55this guy or I'm out of here. And she told me there's the door,
- 8:00get out of here. And I was I was crushed by that,
- 8:03and I left willingly. I wasn't gonna fight about it. I left,
- 8:07but I want to know if this is my son, because even if it's
- 8:09not, if we're not gonna stay together, even if my son, I
- 8:13am going to deal with whatever I have to deal with from her to be
- 8:16involved with my son. That's what he says. So, but this is
- 8:20tough. It's tough either way. It's it's hard. I understand what he's
- 8:26doing here, but you've also invested four years into a kid's life, as
- 8:31if you already are so either like, if he's not the soone, what
- 8:35is he gonna do? Just be like, I'm donzoh, you're not my
- 8:37kid. My math is bad. August seventeen, the August twenty seventeen,
- 8:41they got intimate with each other. So that means the kid was probably more
- 8:45in May of eighteen, And if this takes place in twenty the kid could
- 8:48be under two. So okay, still time, still time, like but
- 8:52not, it's not necessarily the devastating that's right here, So let's go to
- 8:58honor honor. It's like, look, Jared has four kids, one by
- 9:03me, three by another woman. He thinks that none of them are his.
- 9:07He does this after every time the girl he's with has a kid,
- 9:11he thinks that the baby isn't his. That is what he does. He
- 9:15has a kid that's twenty two years old, already twenty two years old.
- 9:18When I told him I was pregnant, he immediately said that baby can't be
- 9:24mine. I had of a sect to me, there's no way the baby
- 9:28is mine. Interesting, Yeah, so Mathis doesn't care about the sect.
- 9:35We don't even get to the bottom. We do get to the bottom of
- 9:37that, we'll get there in a second. But Mathis hasn't heard anything that
- 9:41was said. After Anna would tell Jared that the kid is not his every
- 9:46time that she's mad at him, He looks at her. He lets her
- 9:48do all that, and then he says, have you ever told him that
- 9:50the baby wasn't his? And she said, after the fact that we had
- 9:56the baby, we got in an argument and I did do it once,
- 9:58and that is all Mathis needs to hear. My man is upset. Why
- 10:03would you do that you know it's his baby. If you do know it's
- 10:05his baby, you put your baby in play like that. That's horrible for
- 10:09a mother to do that to her child. Suppose he walked away after you
- 10:13said it and never spoke to you again. Your child would never have a
- 10:16father because you want to make him angry. That is not okay, it's
- 10:20not all right. You don't play like that. That's not what you do.
- 10:22It seems yeah, a personal, Yes, clearly it is personal.
- 10:28Jared starts to pipe up and say your honor, and Matthews says, please
- 10:31talk, young man, because I am troubled and I don't, and then
- 10:35he proceeds to rant further against this woman who's like, why would you ever
- 10:39if you know, this is this guy's child. Why would you ever try
- 10:41to get a father out of the life of his child. Like he is
- 10:45upset, he's firing on all Mathe's cylinders. So but mathis never even acknowledges
- 10:50the fact that she said that. He says that the baby's nothing. That's
- 10:54right. He doesn't care because that happens when she said he was pregnant.
- 10:58She was pregnant, but before the child was in the world. Since the
- 11:01child's been in the world, by all accounts, including hers, he's been
- 11:05around. He's been present, he's gone to the things. The only thing
- 11:09he doesn't do, according to Anna, is take care of them financially.
- 11:11That's the one thing he doesn't do. But since they've agreed the baby's theirs
- 11:15and they never were married, he doesn't. There's no child support in that
- 11:18sense because he's still actively parenting with the kid the way I understand it.
- 11:24So he finally gets back and he says, uh uh, okay, did
- 11:31you actually say that you had Did you say you had a sect me and
- 11:35did you get one? And Jared's like, yes, I said it,
- 11:37but I said it just to test her to see if she'd keep insisting the
- 11:41child was mine. Because if I say I got a vasectomy and then she
- 11:45says never mind, then I know she's lying. That is a interesting plays.
- 11:50It's bold. It's a bold move, Jay Rod, It's a bold
- 11:52move, bro. It just is. He said, do you suspect she's
- 11:58been with other men? He says yes. Anna said, Look that other
- 12:01guy's just my friend. He asked me to in the friendship. I feel
- 12:05like I don't have to do that because Jared's insecure. Jared said, look,
- 12:07I have three other kids, and then he proceeds to brag on his
- 12:09kids. He's twenty two year old, is x y Z doing all these
- 12:13great things. My high school kid's about to graduate with honors. She's sixteen.
- 12:16Blah blah blah. I've made mistakes in my past. I want to
- 12:20be present for my kids. I'll throw myself under the bus. If it
- 12:22gives my kids a leg up, I will be present. I will be
- 12:26there. If this kid's mine, you can bet I'll see him every day.
- 12:28It's a very impassioned speech, a very impressive speech for a guy that
- 12:31lied about of a sectomy. It doesn't come off phony. It really comes
- 12:35off like he means it and matth But what is she doing to learn all
- 12:37this because her she seems to she's just smiling. She's just over there smiling.
- 12:43But she says that this guy's never like this guy always does this whole
- 12:46is not my mayby thing, So which one is it? It seems very
- 12:50odd to constantly we don't question bottom of that interesting we don't. But Mathis
- 12:54then says, well, if that's really who you are, then that's your
- 12:58biggest, biggest accomplishment. Goes nuts. Yeah, and then he says,
- 13:01I hope you are the father because if you are the father, then this
- 13:05kid's gonna If you who are who you say you are, this kid's gonna
- 13:09have a great dad growing up. And then he asked the bailips to baillops.
- 13:11Oh, bail ballops, he ballops, get over, he ballops bailiff
- 13:16to hand him the results, and he's ready to rule. So he's just
- 13:22ruling. He just killing them. If Jared's the father or not. No
- 13:26money is exchanging hands. It's wild out there. I mean, it doesn't
- 13:33seem as if. It doesn't seem like she's out there being promiscuous like it,
- 13:39there's no like questioning her character. I think, well, there's this
- 13:43guy who says that she's his b Yeah. Sure, sure, but I
- 13:46mean that guy, that guy. Yeah, I don't know. It seems
- 13:50like as if it seems like it's his baby. It seems like it's this
- 13:54kid. Judge Mathis in what I can only describe is a scene out of
- 13:58a like inspirational sports movie. It's the only way I can describe what happens
- 14:03here. I've never seen it out of Mathis, of anybody. He reads
- 14:07the results, he goes, okay, why don't you hand those to him?
- 14:11He hands them the results. As he's going over the results, Mathis
- 14:15has left the bench and starts walking to exit the chambers. In the background,
- 14:18the guy sees the results, he smiles a big smile and he goes,
- 14:22it's my baby. And then we look over at Judge Mathis. He's
- 14:26at the door. He points the gabble back at him. He goes,
- 14:28yeah, and he walks out. And that's the episode. It is wild.
- 14:35It is just it's like full chills. It's like this crazy like you
- 14:41do your work, man, you go and be a father. It is
- 14:43the wildest thing. I didn't see it coming. I wasn't prepared. It
- 14:46was something he is the father. That was the short version of that answer.
- 14:52That is a fascinating case with real no implication real not no real with
- 15:01with with real note with no real implications. Yeah, none except now he
- 15:07knows, except now he knows. No, no, no, no,
- 15:09Well what we lacked in money in that first case we we get with there's
- 15:18a bailypse. Don't worry, Judge Gino. For those of you that are
- 15:22new here, a personal injury court has no limits. It seems like,
- 15:26what do you think the limit is on personal injury court for money? Dan
- 15:31Uh? I thought it was a mill is a half mill, and then
- 15:33a mill like a half meal for losses, and then a mill total.
- 15:37I thought, so no, Uh, we got a couple of people here.
- 15:41Matthew Larsen is uh suing Peggy Clarkson and a singer named epic Star yep
- 15:48Classic. Matthew is suing for two point four million in medical holy cash,
- 15:56one hundred k in future medical okay, in two point five million in pain
- 16:02and suffer for five million total. Just isn't any way that Gino's letting him
- 16:07walk out of the courtroom with five million dollars. There's just no way.
- 16:10So Matthew Larson is a professional gamer. Oh boy, here we go.
- 16:15It's not really important to this story. It is a tiny bit, but
- 16:19not really. He plays competitively, He does streaming and whatnot, the twitch
- 16:25classic twitch situation. He has a girlfriend, believe it or not, and
- 16:29they're coming up on their two year anniverse. I know he want to do
- 16:33something real special now. Matthew and his girlfriend both love an artist named Epic
- 16:38Star. As you would now, he has seen Epic Star many, many,
- 16:42many times, ten plus times, but never with his girlfriend. So
- 16:48now is the time, two year anniversary, We're going to go find Epic
- 16:52Stars see Epic Star live. It's going to be epic Epic Classic. So
- 16:57Peggy Clarkson is the own of this music venue that brings Epic Star into do
- 17:04a show, and Peggy's excited about this. Epic Star's good a big can
- 17:10you look up? Is this a real artist? I'm doing it right now,
- 17:12Epic Star. It's gonna be a good draw from what I understand.
- 17:17Now, Matthew and his girlfriend they get the tickets and they get there early
- 17:22so they can enjoy the show close up. Of course. Yeah, you
- 17:25gotta get good seats for Epic Star, I mean and sit in the nose
- 17:29bleeds. Do you kidding me? Now, it's important to know that every
- 17:33show ends with what's called the epic dive, which is Epic Star stage diving
- 17:41into the crowd and they they the crowd brings her all the way around and
- 17:45then she ends up back at the stage and that's how every show ends.
- 17:49There's just nothing like that says that this is a real thing. Okay,
- 17:55well there's epic Star is a Facebook account, but it's there's another name in
- 17:59parenthesis. I don't know what to tell you, man. This is a
- 18:02thing uh so uh known as the epic dive stage dive. The crowd loves
- 18:07it and they bring her all the way around. She goes up and down
- 18:11the crowd. It's this whole thing. No, that's not a star.
- 18:14No, it's not Epic Star. Jamar oh oh oh, it's e p
- 18:18I k oh e p I k epic Star that's going to pull up the
- 18:22results. I would have what are we what are we seeing here? First
- 18:29one? Okay, well yeah that's something Kenny Starr, sorry not Kenny.
- 18:34So anyways, she ends with the stage dive, and Matthew knows this because
- 18:37Matthew has seen her ten place times, of course, so when uh,
- 18:42he knows that she's getting close to the end of the set, he decides
- 18:48that we're going to leave a little bit early to avoid the crowd. Get
- 18:52out early. He didn't want to stay for the Epic dive. He's not.
- 18:53You know, you've seen Epic Dive once. Once, you've seen the
- 18:56Epic Dive once. It's like you've seen it a thousand times. Exactly right.
- 19:00Yeah. Now, Epic Star pipes in here and says, you know
- 19:04everyone knows it's coming. I make it perfectly clear. I say one two
- 19:08three, here I come, and so everyone knows. She says, one
- 19:12two three, here I come. That's exactly right. So Matthew and his
- 19:17girlfriend turn around. They're walking out, and he feels something hits the back
- 19:25of his neck and then a sharp pain shoots down his spine. Oh boy,
- 19:29And he turns around. He doesn't see anything. He's not really sure
- 19:32what's happened, and he is then told he falls down to the ground.
- 19:37He gets back up. Security is there asking if he's okay, and they
- 19:41tell him, hey, you just got hit with the Epic Star the Epic
- 19:45Dive. So this guy. There has to be like three people at this
- 19:51concert. I don't know to tell you. I just for she dives he's
- 19:56walking away. Somehow her uh foot kicked him into the neck. Yes,
- 20:03and so you know, they asked him if he's okay. He's like,
- 20:07yes, I'm okay, and he says it's because I didn't want to look
- 20:11like a weenie in front of my girlfriend. Of course. But as we
- 20:14started walking and when we got to the car, I was in severe pain.
- 20:18Okay, I go home, I sleep. I wake up the next
- 20:21day and I'm feeling worse. This guy could walk and sleep that night and
- 20:26he wants five million dollars. Well, wait, get out of here.
- 20:32So he wakes up the next day and he feels absolutely awful, extreme pain.
- 20:37We see text messages of him and his girlfriend going back and forth from
- 20:41that date, saying, Hey, I'm feeling awful. I'm going to try
- 20:44to sleep some more. See if that helps. I'll take some ibiprof and
- 20:48blah blah blah. Ten days go by, and on the tenth day pain
- 20:55is getting worse and worse and worse. And on the tenth day he has
- 20:59a stroke. Oh my yeah, so he has a stroke and this changes
- 21:07his life forever. Really, he so he he loses, he's a he
- 21:11walks in. He doesn't. I don't actually see him walk, but he's
- 21:12standing, so that's good. Yeah, but he does he clearly does not
- 21:17have yes, his left arm in particular, and that's a big deal when
- 21:23you're a video game, and they, yeah, huge deal. Can you
- 21:26can he prove that the stroke came from this incident? Well, we're gonna
- 21:30get there. Epic Star brings in her fuzzy boot and says, this is
- 21:36the boot, that it's padding and it's fuzzy. There's no way that that
- 21:40would have done anything. And Matthew points out that there it would was a
- 21:44foot in the in the fuzzy boots. So so now you're basically Peggy and
- 21:52Epic Stars. Whole thing is it was ten days. Yeah, like there's
- 21:56no like even Epic Star said, I didn't kick him, But even if
- 22:00I did kick him, this is ten day difference. Like that's like,
- 22:03it's not our fault, it's not my faults. And also he knew it
- 22:08was coming, he seen me before. And also I say one two three
- 22:11here I come. Yeah, one two three are come? I mean,
- 22:12how else are you gonna start an epic stage. So, as Geno does,
- 22:17he brings in an expert, okay, and he brings in a neural
- 22:23neurological doctor basically, and this doctor comes in talks about how important the neck
- 22:30is and the spine, and Judge Gino says, hey, if you were
- 22:33kicked in the back in your neck and it messed something up in your spine,
- 22:40what is it possible for ten days to go by and then for a
- 22:42stroke to happen? And the doctor says, not only is it possible,
- 22:45it's likely that that amount of time ish would take place before a stroke would
- 22:51happened for a neck injury, for a blunt force trauma to the back.
- 22:56So it is looking like epic dive kicked him one three, one two three
- 23:03Here I come, kicked him accidentally, Yeah, and he fell down and
- 23:07then the stroke happened, and you know, one two three. Here he
- 23:11goes, So two point four million dollars in past medical, one hundred k
- 23:15for future two point five and pain and suffering five million dollars total. Judge
- 23:21Gino is ready to rule. I have to feel like when you go to
- 23:25a concert, you accept some liability for what's going to happen to that concert.
- 23:29Was there anything on the ticket or the website that would suggest that we
- 23:33do not hear anything like that? Okay, Now I feel like this is
- 23:37a classic percentage situation, and it is. He does. You know,
- 23:41he does the whole bit where you have to prove that you are at least
- 23:45that they are at least fifty one percent at fault to get any money.
- 23:49I'm gonna get fifty give him fifty one. So out of five mil,
- 23:55I'm going to just give him two point five two point twenty five hundred and
- 23:59fifty thousand dollars. So Judge Gino says, Matthew, you've been before.
- 24:07You know the epic dives coming, so you have to accept some faultier but
- 24:12epic star. When you make the decision to do something reckless, no matter
- 24:22how many times you've done it, and it injures somebody else, you have
- 24:26to take responsibility for that by jumping into the craft. If an injury happens,
- 24:30that is your fault. You're personally liable, at least it's to some
- 24:33extent. So Gino, as he does, just makes up a number as
- 24:37he does, And Gina says that Matthew is only twenty percent response. Oh
- 24:41dang, And so he gets four million dollars, Oh my gosh, and
- 24:48he is pumped. Epic Star and Peggy are po four mill four million dollars.
- 24:55That is crazy for aiguess we've ever had on the gavel a kick to
- 25:00the back of the head that that Epic Star doesn't remember that he can't prove
- 25:04aside from his girlfriend saying I saw it, and the security guard say,
- 25:10hey, here's what happened. But that's it, man, that is just
- 25:15bonkers. I felt like it was a little a little high. Yeah,
- 25:18yeah, I think one mill is probably high, but you have to be
- 25:22at least fifty one responsible. What are we gonna say this? This,
- 25:23this is what you're playing with. This is the legal sauce, and this
- 25:27is what you're playing with. The stakes are always higher, persons are high,
- 25:30right, Well, Epic Star. If somebody can find Epic Star anywhere,
- 25:34is this Epic Star? Let me see, let me see who do
- 25:37we got here? That could be? She was a white woman singer songwriter
- 25:48goes by Kenney Star Hey I N N I E with a very unique blend
- 25:56of folk, rap, pop and poetry. Interesting you know what that could
- 26:00be it because Matthew pointed out the reason why he loves Epic Star so much
- 26:07is because of the inspirational, peace loving aspect of it, but also the
- 26:14energy that has brought. So it sounds like a singer songwriter rap situation.
- 26:18Boy, I come, but is Epic Star? Is Canny Star a big
- 26:23deal? I don't think she's that big a deal. I mean, like,
- 26:27I know, like it, this is just some music blaw interview.
- 26:30There's a Japan times. This person seems as though she's bigger in like the
- 26:36world than she is here And I looked up Kenny Starr stage dive and just
- 26:41found nothing, not a single Well, well, they do point out that
- 26:45this was like as if the American leg of the tour was a rare thing.
- 26:52They kind of they don't get into that, but they're like, oh,
- 26:55this is her. They were like, she was coming for doing doing
- 26:59an American she never Yeah, she's all over Japan, big England, big,
- 27:02big, big big in the but in the show she's American, like
- 27:04she's she's Canadian. Okay, So yeah, wild man, what a time
- 27:10on the Kenny I guess they couldn't use Kenny Star Is this the last one?
- 27:14This last one before? Technically we should do one on the twenty fourth,
- 27:18technically on Bramblefest the eve, on the Eve of the Gabble Yeah.
